(WIP Wed/Whenever) kissy kissy Dalish elves
What if I actually posted on tumblr instead of just reblogging art? I've been writing a Dragon Age fanfic with no canon characters because I am a clown. It's a love story told in three four stories between my OC Eilan Lavellan and @bluewren's OC Lex Lavellan. They are twenty years old. Here is a fluffy little love snippet. (for any familiar with my main Eilan/Solas story, this is an AU for Eilan.)
Context: Lex and Eilan have been dating in secret for 8 months. Eilan insisted on keeping it secret because she didn't want to be the center of gossip. Lex didn't care if everyone knew but went along with Eilan's secretive nature. Their cover was just blown and everyone at Clan Lavellan now knows. CW: sex implied, nudity word count: 653
Eilan was surprised by how much she enjoyed having her secret exposed. That everyone knew she and Lex belonged to each other made her feel proud, even smug. Surely she had the envy of every other young woman — who better a catch than Lex? And who would have expected him to fall for Eilan, who was pretty enough but a bit odd, a loner who lived too far in her own head and practiced strange hobbies like elven calligraphy and writing. Being recognized as a couple had its practical benefits as well. They no longer had to invent ruses to explain their absences. They could disappear together, hand in hand, in plain view of their clan. Though Lex and Eilan had never named what had grown between them, in the eyes of the others they were clearly now a committed couple. Eilan was inclined to adopt their view.
To disappear together was as far as she dared express herself in public. When they were at camp Eilan preferred not to kiss or touch unnecessarily. Lex, she suspected, would have preferred to flaunt their relationship. He had sat close to her by the fire and rested his hand on her knee. The following day he swam out to where she bathed in the shallow sea just to hold her, the two of them weightless in the water. She reciprocated with a quick kiss, a small touch or a shy embrace, enough to make sure he never felt rejected, but invariably she would cut short his sweet affections, whispering to him that someone could see. He did not seem to mind. Or if he did, he never said. It helped that they often found time to be alone together. They each had daily duties, everyone in the clan did, but Eilan had found a way to pawn off some her chores onto a much younger cousin by baiting the girl with unfair bets. “I bet that when I drop this quill it will fall upwind,” Eilan said, knowing full well she could tip the quill with a sleight of hand. “Bet you can’t blow out all these candles in a single breath,” she said after having coated two wicks in essence of wyvern’s breath so that they would burn more stubbornly. The girl was only twelve, an apprentice healer of an agreeable and shy nature. By the fourth bet Eilan suspected that the girl had caught on, but was so thoroughly enjoying Eilan’s attention that she was willing to spend the day de-stemming spindleweed in Eilan’s stead. On those days Eilan would meet Lex in the forest where it was his duty to tend to wild gardens, thought admittedly when Eilan was there he tended to little but her. “Hold on. One second. I should check on the peppers,” Lex said as he disentangled himself from Eilan and stood up from the ground. They had just made love on a patch of summer squash. Fat bright leaves clung to Eilan’s bare back as she sat up to watch Lex move, his nude body gorgeous in the dappled sunlight. He pulled free a pepper from a nearby plant and screwed up his nose at it. It was a runty thing, curled in on itself like an angry cashew, bright red and gnarled. Lex raised a bewildered brow. “…the fuck?” Eilan repressed a laugh, her whole body shaking, tears in her eyes, lips twitching as she covered her mouth. “Oh yea?” Lex grinned, trying not to laugh. “You think it’s funny?” He tossed the sad pepper behind him and dove towards her, nipping at her neck as he guided her back into the cushy leaves. She shrieked with delight. “It’s all your fault,” he teased. “You’re the… what’s that word again? The title of your play? The Saboteur.” Eilan gasped. “You remembered the title of my play!” Lex wagged his brows cockily as if to say ‘duh.’
Tagging: @monocytogenes, @crackinglamb, @about2dance, @nirikeehan, @theluckywizard, @oxygenforthewicked @melisusthewee @rosella-writes and anyone else who might want to share their WIPs!

So I’m looking for a beta reader and you’re the only other author I know that does both MxR and MxM fics, please pass on your wisdom and advice a miserly author how to find a beta reader 😭🙏
Hi friend, I'm going to be so real with you, I think I've only used a beta once in my fanfic life 😭 and it was because the chapter I was writing was giving me absolute hell, and I needed someone to help me.
But if I was going to look for a beta, here are some things to consider:
Find a trusted writer friend
Having a writer friend you trust and respect is ideal, but they have to be capable of providing you with the feedback you're looking for. For example, if you want to edit grammar, not every beta will feel good enough at "proper" grammar to accomplish that. Another thing to consider is whether your friend writes or reads similar stories. If I'm writing a fantasy AU, I could ask my bestie Hali to beta because she's AMAZING at writing fantasy. But maybe I could ask a friend who doesn't write or read fantasy to make sure the world I've created is understandable to someone who isn't accustomed to that type of story.
Join a network or writing server
I know some people are intimidated by networks and Discord writing servers, but if you find ones with welcoming members, they can be great places to make new friends and find people who can beta for you. Many Discord servers will have channels for sharing your fic and requesting a beta. For example, I'm part of a server for BTS fanfic writers who write fantasy/supernatural AUs. The server has a channel for finding a beta, but there are also channels to brainstorm with everyone, share writing resources, etc.
Clearly articulate what you want
Ensure your beta understands what you're looking for - grammar, plot holes, characterization, overall "flow," "does this even make sense," tone, etc.
Use programs like Grammarly
I know many computer/AI-based editing programs aren't super great, but they can be helpful to fall back on whenever needed. I use Grammarly a lot to make sure I'm not missing little things that I might not pick up on (I have ADHD, and apparently, people with ADHD often use the wrong words that might sound similar—like I often type "stupid" instead of "student").
Random note about privacy
If you're using something like Google Docs, be aware that other people can see what your email address and display name are (whether you're sharing the doc or commenting on it). If anyone is worried about being doxxed (or simply wants to stay private), I recommend creating an email account specifically for fanfic or ensuring your email has no identifying qualities.
TBH that's pretty much all I got LOL, but I hope at least some of it is helpful! I'm sure other writers who actually use beta readers will have better advice, so maybe some of my friends can reblog this with their own thoughts or leave comments.

7, 8, 21, and 25 with Fuegoleon for the ask game?
FUE FUE FUE FUE FUE
7. What’s something the fandom does when it comes to this character that you like?
Okay, so, as far as I've seen, the fandom has concluded that Fue is a romantic, and I love that they do depict him as a gentle and heartfelt person. Because, let's face it, in canon he is rather serious (and as I've said multiple times, he's a bit of a prude (affectionate)). In fact, he barely smiles in canon, so... he definitely smiles more in fanfics. And I don't think it's something that people really realize. As in, I took a while to realize it myself. But then again, usually the fics I've read dwell in themes and moments, where it'd be topical (?) for him to be smiling. Sometimes I think that it goes a little bit overboard in some fics. Like, he is also a private person, so I think that "excessive" PDA when he's on duty (specifically) would be a bit of a no. Like a soft "no". Because he wishes to be professional. Granted that sometimes those displays of affection while on duty can be a powerful narrative tool. But as said, sometimes I think that it goes a little bit overboard. I don't mind too much, however. Generally speaking, I like how the fandom, at least for the parts that I follow and have stumbled on, do him justice.
8. What’s something the fandom does when it comes to this character that you despise?
That being said, I have stumbled through dark valleys of this fandom, and seen also Bad Takes(tm). I think I mentioned it to a couple of friends in a private Discord server a couple of weeks back, that... all the takes that you could imagine for him (and some that you couldn't) I have probably seen it, or heard about it. So, I'm not really surprised by any of it. I think. *knocks on wood* However, some individual Bad Takes(tm) aren't really something that "the fandom does", so I'll take something that at least used to be a thing in the past. And it was that because Fue is an understanding person, it was a popular enough characterization for some time that Fue would take anything you throw at him, all the slander and misbehaviour and just put up with it with a smile on his face. He was basically characterized as a doormat. A dumb doormat. Which is why I sometimes get annoyed by people implying that he is quite dumb actually. Sure, he is aloof at times, but being aloof isn't a mark of stupidity. And on that note, there are also many kinds of intelligence. Also, his tolerance isn't a mark of lacking a spine or putting up with anything indefinitely. Accepting everything. I mean, he has canonically dismissed people because of the crimes they committed (which can't, for example, be said about Julius; yes, it's more complicated than that, but to make a point). So, I hated him being characterized as a dumb doormat.
21. If you’re a fic writer and have written for this character, what’s your favorite thing to do when you’re writing for this character? What’s something you don’t like?
I like depicting his internal monologue and the emotional spectrum that he's going through. Essentially, I like exploring his thoughts and how he would react to things, or maybe find out why he might have done some things in canon. I want to understand his character. So, I like working within the scope of possible scenarios that he might be in, whether it's in canon or in an AU. And so, I suppose I don't particularly enjoy writing very superficial things for him, or "forcing" him to do something that I don't particularly feel like he would do, which is why the text also comes out forced. Most of the time I can reason actions, or behaviour, but there are certainly scenarios that I've tried to write, but it's just come out very forced because "he would not do/say that!"
25. What was your first impression of this character? How about now?
Okay... uhh... funny story
So, I didn't start watching BC myself, but instead I was "watching" it whenever I passed by our tv as hubby was watching it. So, I missed a good chunk of the early episodes, and only started watching watching myself later on. However, this means that I missed a lot of the early episodes with Fue, the first time around. And... I think the very first comment I have made of Fue, out loud, was: "Oh, so he died?" So, he was 'The One Who Died' for a while... *insert awkward laughter* I only got more invested after he was woken up, and I started going through the earlier chapters (so essentially backtracking). And since then, he quickly became my favourite.

hello there, i hope you're doing well dear writer!! i just wanted to quickly hop into your inbox and ask something regarding s&c ^^'
first of all, I've been following your fanfic for quite some time now and im really loving it so far!
tbh i rarely read reader x canon aus but this one in particular stuck out to me. the way you shape the story and characters is so amazing to me, they truly give me the immersive feeling i desperately seek in some aus (even if i see the reader not as myself specifically but a separate character, you created, that wanders around in my head rent free atp lol)
gojo and the reader either make me wanna rip my hair out and scream in agony or curl in a ball under my blanket and cry and giggle like a little girl.. there really is no in-between with these losers 😭
also, i might not understand much of the medical world since that field is far out of my reach as a language student but it's so so interesting reading all the surgical procedures described and trying to make sense of it all (you even got me googling most of the stuff since I'm not familiar with many medical terms 😭) but hey! it's always nice to learn new things and the more you know the better :3
okay this got incredibly long and i am very sorry for my dumb ramble but i felt like gushing over your fanfic for a second 😭
now my question:
do gojo and geto (and sukuna) know each other since high school or university? i honestly don't know whether you already mentioned this in the fic or answered a similar question or not. if either happened i apologize for my poor memory (it fails me a lot recently) i also don't even know if it matters that much but i was really curious for some reason 😅
also whenever you happen to write in gojo's pov again: do you think you'd add some sort flashbacks from his past that explain his character and decisions more? (since bro doesn't wanna open up abt it 💔) i am REALLY curious about young gojo!! ESPECIALLY regarding the situation between sukuna and gojo bc WTF did bro do that's apparently "worse than drugs" and infuriated sukuna so much he'd wanna ruin his life over it 😭 (I'd like to imagine sukuna is a pathetic loser that'd get butthurt over the most ridiculous things ever, cartoon villain type of guy fr)
well i think i'm done with my ramblings now, hopefully my questions make sense xd i'm looking forward to reading your reply soon!!
thank you so much for giving your all to this fanfic; the time, effort and heart you put into it is greatly appreciated by many 💕 have a great day dear writer, i'm sending you lots of love and much luck in your studies 🥰🫶🏼
awwwwee, this message is so incredibly heartwarming!! thank you so so much for taking the time to share your thoughts and the way the story resonates with you. hearing that it provides that immersive feeling, and makes u scream, cry and giggle is truly the best feeling in the world for a writer!! ♡
there really is no in-between with these losers
why did this make me laugh, u calling them losers ahahah
i really appreciate you being interested in the medical side of things despite it being completely unfamiliar territory!! the fact that you're even googling terms warms my little heart hehe ♡
also please never apologize for sending messy messages like this. it absolutely makes my day to read such sweet messages!!
also your questions:
do gojo and geto (and sukuna) know each other since high school or university?
don't remember myself if i answered that already lol (hope i don't say something different now). gojo and geto know each other since high school and were kind of rivals first and then bonded over a basketball match they both took part in. best friends since. they never really split, went to the same university, did their residency at the same hospital.
sukuna, gojo and geto became familiar in university. with sukuna being more of a frenemy to them. but gojo and sukuna were kinda close and geto and sukuna were just people who could hang out at a party.
do you think you'd add some sort flashbacks from his past that explain his character and decisions more? (since bro doesn't wanna open up abt it 💔)
yes yes yes!! next chapter will be gojo's pov again and there will be a scene were we'll get to know more about his upbringing (not in the next chapter tho, sometime later).
ESPECIALLY regarding the situation between sukuna and gojo bc WTF did bro do that's apparently "worse than drugs" and infuriated sukuna so much he'd wanna ruin his life over it 😭
won't spill the beans yet about what exactly gojo did, but i'll explain some time later in the story. sorry for the wait!! i feel like these things are so clear for me, because apparently i write them but i feel like it must be really frustrating for readers having so many questions left and then having to wait a few weeks for the next update, ahhhh! sorry for that!!
(I'd like to imagine sukuna is a pathetic loser that'd get butthurt over the most ridiculous things ever, cartoon villain type of guy fr)
ahahha omg. now i see it too ☠️☠️
thank you so much for appreciating the hard work that goes into creating s&c!! and thank you for the well-wishes with my studies. i'm sending love and happy vibes right back to you ♡♡

For the Fanfic asks - for the askers:
4. The best ship you've written for: CJ/Danny of course, it goes without saying! The banter, the love, the sparkles between them! 💜 I also love the way you wrote Abbey/Jed in your holiday exchange fic 😊 7. What made me the most emotional after reading: Every moment led me to this place is a gorgeous, gorgeous fic! And you wrote it as a response to my prompt! 🥰🥰 I just love the intimacy, the happy domesticity of this fic, and I melted while I was reading it for the first time. It's relaxed and peaceful and honestly, I have to agree with Danny, what else could anyone ask for?
9. A fic I'm excited for you posting: Campaign bars! Campaign bars! I know I told you this before lol but I have to say it again, I love the concept so much and I can't wait to read this fic, whenever you finish it and decide to post it. 💜
12. A fic of yours that I've re-read: I must have read telling myself, one day I'll forget about it three or four times since you posted it, that's how much I like it. I'm a sucker for the first 'Bartlet for America' campaign fics and it's great, absolutely awesome! I love CJ's thought process, I love the little details suggesting just how small the initial thing is and how nobody really expects it's going to last for a long time. The borrowed chair, the makeshift office... And of course, there's the main theme: CJ who doesn't want to admit that she has a crush on the cute guy with a Pulitzer! 🥰🥰🥰🥰 💜💜💜💜💜💜
[From fanfic asks for the askers]
Friend 😭😭😭😭💜💜💜💜 (really typed your name and had to delete that just in case, lmao) Thank you so much! I'm overwhelmed by all of your kind words here, and how detailed you were. You are the sweetest and most wonderful friend.
Love Jed and Abbey. Truly don't write them enough, but writing those bits for the exchange fic was truly lots of fun! (The other pairing is alright, I guess? 😜 )
Your prompt was so awesome! Truly so much fun. I took it last and had that idea immediately (it started as more of a 'what if…' crazy idea that I couldn't get rid of), which is the mark of a great, great prompt. Love that it connected with you and made you feel emotional! 🥹🥹🥹 It was meant to be chill and quiet… Perhaps because my brain was anything but when I wrote it. (Or now, lol. But early/mid-February was truly something else. What a year.)
Really do think you're hyping Campaign bars way too much. I haven't touched it in forever! It wasn't that interesting or compelling, and I now fear it might disappoint you! It was fun to write, though. It ended up being neglected by the muse, though I'd love to go back to it someday soon! (I fear the pregnancy AU will keep being the priority for the time being.)
Your comment on the crush story was one of the sweetest, kindest things I've ever received. It got to me. That you've read it so many times in the last couple of days is just !!!!, because I've also re-read your comment many times since. Thank you! 🥺😭😭 I had a lot of fun writing it, and I'm glad some of that comes through. 💜💜💜💜 Here's a thing you will find amusing – I almost discarded this idea because it was originally a bit too close to one of the chapters in Campaign Bars. Not anymore, but a detail or two do carry over 😉

Moon Princess
ao3 ff.net
Hello everyone. I am grateful to be back! And I had to make sure to publish today because it's Selina's birthday! You're 20 now! And that is awesome! Elijah messaged me months in advance asking me to write you a birthday gift.
Technically I was originally going to write 3 fanfics and this was originally going to be an Avatar AU but…I am just happy I finished this today. After all the stuff I've been through in the past month in a half I finally lost my mind and wanted to lock myself in the room and write all day. I am happy to be back…
Actually, I apologize if this isn't my best work. I was trying hard to come up with something meaningful. Anyway Selina, Happy Birthday! I hope today was a good day.
~~~~~
The many dramas that plagued high school life were something Luka Couffaine could live without. When petty drama with mean girls and abusive guys became too much, he tried to play beautiful dreamy music with his guitar or his violin. Anything to make high school less of a drag.
If it wasn't Chloe or Lila causing trouble and tormenting others, it was the bullying gangs starting violence. And if it wasn't either of those things, it was the on-again-off-again relationship between rich boy Adrien Agreste and the beautiful Marinette Dupain-Cheng.
Their relationship was so obnoxious, and almost the entire school advocated for them, thinking they were the perfect couple. That they were "meant to be."
While Luka believed in love, something about this whole thing felt wrong. But arguing against this would be like arguing with a headstrong army of people who insisted something was true without considering why.
The other factor of this romantic mess was Luka couldn't ignore Marinette even if he tried. Because she was the most beautiful girl in the entire school, who belonged to Adrien.
Adrien was the "sunshine boy." His bright smile made all the girls swoon, and his beautiful blonde hair glowed in the sunlight. It was very obnoxious, but he lit up the room with his charisma and laughter.
Marinette was soft-spoken and sweet in comparison. She had beautiful silver eyes that rivaled the likes of the moon. Although that wasn't the most beautiful part of her to Luka. He remembered when he first heard her voice, and after that fateful day, she was the voice he would always focus on when she was around.
Luka couldn't help but make small talk with her until she seemed comfortable conversing with him often. She always said the kindest things and was very sincere, with an adorable smile and a soft blush.
Whenever Marinette met up with him, her saying, "Hi Luka!" was enough to make his heart song sing.
But Luka knew life wasn't always happy for her. Yes, she and Adrien had their highs. One time Adrien presented Marinette with a moonstone necklace that he said was for his beloved Moon Princess. And Marinette wore that moonstone necklace fondly while her friends noted what a wonderful boyfriend Adrien was giving her the most extravagant gifts.
But Marinette and Adrien also had plenty of lows. Sometimes Adrien would laugh and smile and enjoy his popularity. At the same time, Marinette would sit away from him and look a little melancholy. Other times they would have arguments during school, and surprisingly many students found that rather endearing.
Nino considered it a romantic drama that made things exciting, and Alya considered it all part of being connected by the red string of fate. That needless bickering was what made a true romance. But Luka couldn't help but silently disagree over such a tired romantic cliche.
They were on again and off again. When they were off again, Marinette would sit and wait for Adrien to inevitably return. Luka watched in silence as the entire school enjoyed the romantic drama.
On one of those days, when the girls encouraged Marinette that things would be better again, Luka played a romantic tune on his violin as he thought about the complications of romance. How it seemed so different than manufactured romance for television.
But regardless of how annoying toxic romance in media or dating culture was, there was something in Luka's heart that made him believe in a love so true, so he kept on playing the love song that resonated in his heart as some of his lovely classmates couldn't help but watch him play and comment on his romantic tune.
Luka was genuinely flattered, but he couldn't help but steal a glance at Marinette as she spent time with her friends, and to his surprise, she was staring at him this entire time. Luka smiled at her, and Marinette got flustered and looked away.
Luka felt more encouraged to continue playing a love song. His own feelings inspired the music that interrupted this obnoxious high school romance.
And on one day, after months of the same old high school drama. Luka had a fateful encounter with Adrien and Marinette in the hallway.
They had an argument that echoed in the hallway, and Luka hid in the corner to listen. But he couldn't pass off this argument as a typical romance this time. Their arguing was as serious as it could get, with nothing romantic about it.
"Fine, maybe we should just end it then!" Adrien cried.
"Gladly!" Marinette retorted.
Marinette's footsteps echoed in the hallway until Adrien spoke again.
"I am not running back to you like a needy cat, Marinette!"
Marinette groaned.
"I am done arguing Adrien!" She spat.
"So I want to say goodbye, for good!" She cried.
Luka looked over the corner and saw Marinette walking away from Adrien. This was no random romantic drama moment. This was finality. Luka wanted to run to her, but he knew he needed to turn in the other direction and let Marinette finish her own love story.
And also for her to decide where her story would lead next.
And after months of school drama, summer was coming again.
Luka and his friends wasted no time heading to the beach when the weather in France finally got warmer.
He was ready to practice surfing again and would wait until sunset for the best wave to ride. It wasn't just that he grew up on a boat, but he always felt close to the ocean. That could be why he dyed his hair blue and why people have noted that his eyes look like aquamarine.
Either way, Luka felt right at home in the cool ocean waves, and his patience paid off when a decent wave finally came around. All his friends cheered as he successfully surfed across the wave.
But he could've sworn he saw a familiar girl standing in the distance. He couldn't help but grin as he saw a girl with midnight blue pigtails. But this time, she was wearing a white sundress and a sunhat.
Marinette felt foolish watching Luka and his friends at a distance enjoying themselves at the beach. She tried to cover her face with her sunhat, but then she sighed and walked away from the beach.
She shouldn't have had to feel shy about trying to be friendly with Luka's friend group. Marinette was part of the most popular clique in high school when she dated Adrien. Still, she felt bad for being part of such a snooty, stuck-up clique when Luka and his friends were much kinder.
She was already regretting that silly on-again-off-again relationship enough, and now she regretted not talking to Luka more. They weren't really friends, although every time she spent with Luka, she felt something good inside of her.
Right now, she just couldn't find the courage to say hello to Luka and his friends, but she still wanted to spend time by the ocean. So when night fell and the full moon shined on the sea, she went to the beach alone.
She walked the soft sand and watched the waves push and pull while making the most relaxing noise. Marinette couldn't help but smile as she enjoyed how beautiful everything looked with the ocean meeting the moon. She was about to run into the water but soon realized she wasn't the only one on the beach.
Luka thought he was dreaming when he saw the beautiful girl on the beach alone. He only innocently stayed behind because he wanted to spend time on the beach at night. The blue-haired boy slowly approached her, but Marinette picked up on it. She gasped and turned to him while holding her arm up, but Luka stepped back and held out his hands.
"Sorry!" He cried. "I didn't mean to frighten you Marinette!"
Well, this was embarrassing to both of them. They were both alone on the beach, only in swimwear. Marinette would've buried herself in the sand, which would look more ridiculous. Although Luka was the kindest person she knew, so she lowered her guard.
"Oh, Luka…" She crossed her feet and held her hands behind her back. "I'm surprised to see you here."
Luka couldn't tell if this was a beautiful dream come true or a nightmare disguised as a beautiful dream as he tried to fight away the blush on his face.
"I should say the same thing about you Marinette. You shouldn't be here alone."
Marinette giggled slightly, which caught Luka off guard. She smiled at him, and she looked beautiful. Her pale skin, silver eyes, and midnight blue hair in the beautiful night.
"I wanted to spend time at the beach as well. There are so many fun things I can do after a breakup."
As the waves met the shore again, Marinette ran in the other direction for the water, leaving Luka stunned. She winked at him before rushing into the cool waves. She took a moment to swim into deeper water before turning over and floating on her back. Luka noticed how much she enjoyed herself, but then he saw a wave coming her way, and she yelped as that wave pulled her under.
"Marinette!"
Luka sprinted towards the water and dove in. But Marinette wasn't helpless as she floated back to the surface. She was still caught off guard by Luka scooping her up bridal style. Marinette's silver eyes shined for him, and she couldn't help but place her hand on his chest. Luka blushed and looked away, thinking about his quick decision.
"I just couldn't let anything happen to you," he put simply.
He was caught off guard by Marinette splashing him with water.
"Hey!" Luka cried.
Marinette merely smirked at him, but he had to admit, she was cute as hell.
"I would love to play with you Luka!"
Marinette jumped out of Luka's arms and continued to splash him. Luka spat out some salt water and walked over to Marinette as she giggled and swam away from him.
"Hey! You should know that you shouldn't underestimate me! I am a child of the ocean!"
And something about that pleased Marinette. She had the most genuine fun in ages having a water fight with Luka.
And days later, Luka invited Marinette to spend time with his friends. She still felt nervous, but Luka smiled and offered his hand, which Marinette gleefully took.
She was captivated as she sat with Luka's friends and watched Luka shred waves on a surfboard. She could watch him defy the waves for hours until the sun went down.
And sometimes, without telling anyone, Marinette and Luka would spend more time on the beach in the moonlight. As much as their friends thought they looked cute together and Marinette felt she was facing deja vu, the time they spent alone on the beach was precious to them.
And Marinette had the crazy idea of sleeping on a beach towel next to Luka as they listened to the waves. She covered herself with another beach towel and smiled as Luka lay beside her. He took a moment to tenderly stroke her cheek before moving her lips to her ear.
"I'll be sure to wake you up," he whispered.
Marinette's silver eyes sparkled for him in a way he never saw before. Luka felt breathless as Marinette ran her fingers through Luka's blue hair. She loved how beautiful his blue hair looked after a long day of swimming. Marinette looked deeply into his ocean-blue eyes, knowing she could get lost in his eyes for hours. Both wanted to live in this moment for as long as they could.
"I think I may be in love with you," Marinette whispered. "Like, truly…"
Luka gasped as his face warmed up. Marinette smiled at him warmly as she moved her lips closer to him. She stopped for a moment, wondering if maybe he wasn't interested. But he moved closer to her, and Marinette was in awe from the warm look in Luka's blue eyes telling her he wanted this. And then their lips met quickly like natural attraction. The two of them made out as Luka ran his fingers through Marinette's midnight-blue hair, and Marinette ran her fingers through Luka's ocean-blue hair.
Earlier that evening, when Luka wasn't looking, Marinette drew a heart in the sand with their initials. Marinette's declaration of love was undisturbed by the waves. Instead, the ocean waves brought a beautiful white moon shell to shore.
Marinette and Luka slept soundly on beach towels as they touched hands.
Luka felt like the luckiest guy alive to have the beautiful girl with silver eyes gravitate toward him. But Marinette felt fortunate to be falling for a beautiful boy whose love and compassion was as deep as the ocean.
~~~~~
Alright, so I am going to talk about how this was originally going to be an Avatar AU. I remember when Selina and I talked and we both agreed if there is one Avatar ship that is similar to Lukanette…It's Sokka and Yue. I wanted to write ocean and moon symbolism for Luka and Marinette because I remember learning that yin and yang isn't direct opposites like fire and ice or creation and destruction, and also that yin and yang shouldn't just be used for romance but western culture keeps on botching yin and yang for shallow romances. Avatar explained it better that yin and yang is more so like the ocean and moon…Like Sokka and Yue.
I think it suits Marinette and Luka but that's just me…
Anyway, I thank Selina for being such a great friend. I wish I could give you more than just this, but I worked my fingers to the bone.
If anything I am going to continue The Melody of your Heart…So I hope you are excited about that.
Anyway, thanks for reading and I will see all of you later!

cozy trio ask (the new fic is amazing !!!)
if you had to place the trio in a typical fanfic au (eg. flowershop/tattoo parlour, coffee store/bookstore, etc.) which au would it be, and who would play which role?
Hello again, nonny!
I'm doing a writing challenge this year with Cozy Trio as the ship for all of my fics in the challenge (I'll reblog the post about it later tonight), and I've been thinking about the free of them in a coffeeshop AU since seeing the post yesterday since that's the prompt I'm leaning toward for July. So I'll start there.
In a Coffeeshop AU... here's the thing. I've already made moodboards for barista!Mouse and barista!Jay. I have post-war, post-addiction Mouse making a new life for himself and falling for his regular customer, Det. Halstead. And I have post-war Jay serving tea to his emotional support spoiled rich boy every afternoon. So it's Hailey's turn, right?
So, barista!Hailey, serves a strong cup of coffee (secretly with a little extra sugar that he never tells anyone about) to Jay every morning, perfectly put together and ready for his day before he even walks through the door. Usually about an hour later, she prepares an even sweeter cup of tea to Mouse, who is a rumpled mess of shirts that don't fit him and hair that's had fingers run through it a few too many times. They come in together every once in a while, that's how she knows they're friends, and she jokingly flirts with both of them because they're cute and leave good tips (it takes a couple months before Mouse tries to put a stop to her flirting with him, just a little "you know I'm gay, right?" and it doesn't stop her but it does get a little more... over the top? a little more obviously fake, more teasing than flirting, and he does it back, which Jay rolls his eyes at whenever it happens in front of him)
How do they get together? Unsure. I have 6 months to figure that out, though.
As for tattoo artist/florist, I've actually come up with an expanded concept of that, for an ot3 I had back when I wrote for Marvel? The moodboards are here on my blog, if anyone wants to check it out, but the short version is tattoo parlor/flower shop/bookstore all on the same block, and the owners of all the stores are friends and then all get together.
Mouse is the florist, I think. He wears a lot of florals in canon? Not enough but also... four shirts. He wears four floral shirts in canon. And that's just on screen. I want to follow the flower motif for him as much as possible, it makes me so happy. the sunflower shirt from 1x15 lives in my mind rent free at all times
Hailey as a tattoo artist fascinates me. Can I explain it? No. But do I know in my soul that she would do great and probably love ever second of it? Yeah. bonus points that both she and Mouse are pursuing careers that their parents would absolutely hate for them, like I could put a lot of angst in here about that but I'm behaving
Does Jay owning a bookstore make sense? No. But mostly just because I'm fully on board with @kitthekazoo's headcanon that his ADHD just made it difficult to learn those skills - like reading and writing and math - at the same pace as his peers when he was young. He can read, it's just not something he enjoys because he associates it with that struggle and disappointment from his father. However... editing that third profession so it's maybe... following in his father's footsteps and becoming a mechanic? and his shop is on the same block as Mouse's flower shop and Hailey's tattoo parlor? I love that. I love that a lot.
something something Jay following his father's dreams for him vs Mouse rejecting the family tech/investment track and Hailey rejecting the restaurant business... I have a lot of thoughts here but I don't know if they're coherent yet.
Also... something about putting the Mouse&Hailey relationship, which I keep completely platonic in all of my Cozy Trio AUs, in the roles that are typically the romantic cliché in this kind of universe is so satisfying. I love turning things upside down for no reason. I live for that kind of quiet chaos.
Thanks so much for this! I had a lot of fun thinking about these! And who knows, maybe I'll write the tattoo artist/florist/mechanic idea for December when that prompt comes around!

I, N, and V for the writer ask meme…! >_>
I: Do you have a guilty pleasure in fic (reading or writing)?
eheheh gonna have to go with that particular flavor of h/c where the normally powerful and unflappable character is hurt, and is comforted/tended to by the normally vulnerable and emotional one. There's a lot of tenderness in this trope, and a lot of room to explore the unseen sides of each character. Major bonus points for platonic physical touching/closeness, because there isn't nearly enough of that in media generally or fanfic specifically. This trope is PERFECT for it, though, and my little aroace heart eats it up every time.
N: Is there a fic you wish someone else would write (or finish) for you?
There's these two old Supernatural fics I have sitting around in my WIPs folder that I wish someone else would write, because aside from me having fallen out of SPN fandom post-S10, I just can't figure out what to do with them. But I love the premises of both, and they still knock around in my brain occasionally. One of them is a time-travel AU (did you expect anything different XD ) involving Sam from right before the end of S1E1, and Season... I don't remember, early 10 or so? Whenever Lucifer shows back up - Sam swapping temporal places. Past!Sam has to deal with the monster that Dean has become post-S8, while Future!Sam has to face John Winchester while Lucifer is hunting them all. The other one is an AU where Sam is separated from John and Dean as a baby by an accident that results in them believing he was killed by the yellow-eyed demon. Dean grows up alone, while baby Sam is adopted by a family of powerful witches and raised as both a witch and a psychic (since they recognize his psychic powers early on) by loving parents and siblings. They meet for the first time during a modified S1E1 set up by the YED, who is trying to get the Winchester family back together for the whole Apocalypse thing. While they don't realize they're brothers, they do end up working together to solve the first several cases of S1 before retreating to Sam's family's home to escape Meg and the YED. There, they put the pieces together and figure out Sam is the little brother Dean thought died as a baby, and that Sam's adopted parents believed John Winchester was a mundane criminal who abandoned his son to CPS.
I actually have about 9k words written for the first one, and about 10k for the second, but yeah, no idea where to go with them and no motivation to finish. ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯ If anyone wants to run with either of these, go for it!
I also have a Promare fic that I've more or less completely written out in my head, but don't have the time or spoons to put on paper, and I'd love it if someone wrote that one for me. XD
Oddly enough, I can't think of any in either the FFVII or FFXV fandoms, probably because I have so many writing projects in both of those right now that I've got all my bases covered. XD
V: A secondary (or underrated) character you want to see more of in fic?
I'm gonna go with, first, Ravus Nox Fleuret, because GOD I wish we could have seen so much more about him in canon, and fandom is very well placed to fill those gaps. (I think he might show up in a decent number of fics, actually, just not as a primary character in gen fics that I'm aware of.) And second, best boy Kunsel <3

Ask game time! :D
27. Who is the most stressful character you’ve ever written? Why?
Hmmm. I'd say the most stressful characters to write are the ones I personally dislike. As in, not necessarily the ones who are bad/mean people, because they can be great characters. (Looking at you, Michael!) But the ones I'd want to remove from the narrative with a flame-thrower. So I'd say John Winchester is definitely up there, but I also have a WIP with AU!Michael in the Dean vessel and yeah... That guy always makes me want to get out a baseball bat whenever he's on screen in the show, and I'm trying to accurately portray him in the WIP, so he makes my blood pressure go up, lol.
Generally, I'd say writing people who have a calm demeanour and smile a lot but will absolutely kill your family without a second thought is stressful. Unless those characters are also cool and I like them. Hope this helps. <3
36. They say to Write What You Know. Setting aside for a moment the fact that this is terrible advice…what do you Know?
Ah. Very little. I constantly have to google things like 'How do grades work in high schools in Minnesota' or 'Supermarkets in the US' to make sure I don't embarrass myself too much. But okay, that's because I don't live in the US and can only pick up so much from media.
On a less geographically specific note, I always fear my insight into and understanding of people, their motivations and thoughts, is lacking. Especially when the people I write about have different opinions and life experiences from me.
Wait, this was about what I DO know. Okay. So:
1. Bert and Ernie are gay...
2. There's a difference between the median and the average of things, and you should always differentiate which one is used (if any of the two - there are also other measurements) and be critical about what that number actually means. Especially in statistics, when conclusions are drawn from certain figures in a study and stuff like that. Just. Be aware. (Also be aware of percentages. A 50% rise in probability sounds like a lot and possibly alarming until you look at the actual numbers and realize the probability has gone up from 1% to 1.5%.)
39. What keeps you writing when you feel like giving up?
This is a difficult question. There have been times in my life where I've barely written (if at all), but it was more that I had other things going on rather than me giving up. I mostly write for myself, and have only recently started sharing the fanfics part online. (It's been a little more than a year.)
Before that, only my closest friends and family got so much as glimpses of my writing (mostly original stuff). Writing is almost automatic for me - the ideas are there, anyway, and I spend a lot of time in my own head thinking about them. Writing them down is just a way to retain the ideas, to bring them in a form that I can enjoy again later on. (Yes, I read my own stuff. No, I don't always like it. But some of it is entertaining.)
So writing is more an outlet so that the stories don't get lost in my brain. And even when the writing is bad, the idea is still preserved, and I could always re-write it to salvage the story.
As for specific stories... Sometimes it's hard to get myself to write, but it's mostly because I get hung up on a certain scene and don't know how to get to a part that's more fun. This can keep a story in limbo for a long time. But what usually helps is to - once again - spend some time in my own head thinking of that scene, getting myself motivated for it again. And then forcing myself to put sentences into my Open Office Doc, even if they're not great. I can always fix them later. As long as there's a basis I can go back and re-do it.
So tl;dr: I don't really ever think about stopping to write. If anything, I would stop sharing my writing. Because the stories are a part of my life and I don't want to lose any of them (Shout out to my fifty billion WIPs). I'd still write if I thought I was terrible (which I do sometimes) and if I lost motivation I'd just take a break (on a specific story or just in general) and then come back later more refreshed.

Hey love!! Hope you're doing great!
So umm I'm a person to read and write, so I was wondering, how the heck do you come up with ideas for your fics😭?! Like I loved and read every single fic that you've written so far and they are all so good that I can't help it but to reread them every time, but yeah like I'm starting to feel like getting back to writing and all, yet I don't know what to write about, so I thought asking one of my favorite writers wont hurt😚
aw, first off thank you sm!! and second, best of luck to you on revitalizing your writing journey! Having done it at least 3 times, I'm totally cheering you on!! I, unfortunately, have a never-ending flow of ideas always rushing into my head (and hardly the time/energy to actually write them out jsdkfjs) but I'm more than happy to share some ways on how I get that inspiration lol
The medium itself Since I've always written a ton of fanfic, a lot of my inspiration comes from whatever hyperfixation that is. For example, in kpop - it could be from the music they create, their "lore" or theme, activities they participate in, etc. On the other hand, for areas like animanga - changing canon events (big fav!!), putting my own character/reader into the canon/universe, taking a favorite scene or soundtrack and making a scenario around it, using the lore/universe as a base for another fandom, etc.
Alternate Universes A big fav of course! In the kpop fandom, obviously most writers don't keep the already-famous stars famous - you can! - but why not explore more? Generally, they're just some normal person you'd hang out with every day or something. Or they're famous for a completely different reason! Here's where a lot of fun tropes come in aka my personal favorite - best friends to lovers. You could also do a popular fantasy theme - vampires, werewolves, magicians, soul mates, etc. The world is your oyster! Shape it however you want! For example, camming!au's are super popular but they can all be a little different even if the main theme and idea are the same. Think of why someone decides to be a cam!person, what motivates them, what they don't want found out, where or how they do it, etc. and boom - multiple scenarios can be born!
Prompts/Collabs Prompts are a great way to get started on an idea. Doing a quick google search for writing prompts is a surefire way to get started. Here are just two of many tumblr blogs I like (here and here) and there's plenty out there to find! I've also used song/movie book quotes as prompts. I'd also cautiously recommend joining writing networks if you'd like. Networks often hold events/collaborations for their members to spark inspiration and/or tumblr mutuals do the same! Talking with people is also a great way to find inspiration and keep the motivation going! Also feel free to ask for prompts in your ask box!!!
Reading!!! (or watching lol) Read, read, read! Read other fanfics, books, manga/manhwa/comics or watch a favorite show. I can't tell you how many times something I'm consuming has inspired me whether trope, scenario, pairing, universe, or logistic wise. For example, whenever I get into a new fandom, I'm always searching for fanfics to read to see how people characterize or experiment with an idea. I call it doing my research lol. It gives me confidence to pursue an idea plus I just love reading anyways. AO3 has been a great source for personally. Also, finally I think if you really like an idea someone came up with, you can come up with your own spin on it. You can even reach out to the writer and talk to them about it and at the very least, reference their story in your credits/author's note. Building a community together and helping other's find their inspiration is usually like the highest compliment!!!! (It goes without saying not to plagiarize, steal, copy, or do any sneaky/malicious behavior when doing so lol!)
Combine ideas My last tip is just a personal thing I do because I tend to get overwhelmed by how many ideas I have and where to even start. My brain tends to come up with poignant little scenes I really like (during the most inopportune time like showering or washing dishes lmao) but I daydream a lot and usually have no substance other than one sentence, title, trope, or scenario to go off. And I have a terribly huge wip (work in progress) graveyard. So when I opened the blog specifically, I've used a lot of those old, unused ideas and tried to incorporate them into something new or combined. I just like to do that to eliminate overloading my drafts lmfao! (for example: I wanna do a princess/knight and priestess/god story and boom - can combine those together!) This can also help brew up a series if you're feeling so inspired.

❤️ What is your favorite line that you’ve written in a fic?
I have quite a few favorite lines, but I think this is one of my favorite-favorites, and it's more than one line. It's from Now is the Winter of Our Discontent Made Glorious, a Frostiron College AU:
Tony had torn his gaze from the pair, his lips parted to speak to Loki about them, but his words turned to icicles on his lips and dropped away. When he'd thought Loki looked magical earlier, it was just the tip of this iceberg that apparently his friend had somehow kept hidden from him until this moment. Magical was entirely understatement. Loki was practically incandescent in the woods, as if they increased the fairy magic he possessed the longer he was in them. Snowflakes that had fallen since they'd come out rested on Loki's black eyelashes, and the cold had brought faint roses to his cheeks. It might sound entirely unscientific, but Loki's whole aura hummed with sorcery that made it even harder for Tony with the feelings that threatened to explode his heart whenever they were together.
💥 What is one canon thing that you wish you could change?
Tony, Loki, and Natasha dying in Infinity War/Endgame. Because fuck that noise.
👻 What is your wildest headcanon?
Do I have wild headcanons? I'm not sure if I do. I know I have headcanons that sometimes coincide with other people's headcanons about characters, and sometimes they're vastly different - especially for characters that some people are just bound and determined to hate. (Not like I don't have a couple of characters that I'm bound and determined to hate myself, so don't think I'm judging heavily or anything.) I guess one of my headcanons (wild or not) is that Charles Xavier knew from the time Bobby was 15 and showed up at the school that he (Bobby) was gay, and he intentionally suppressed his own self-knowledge of himself. I think that he kept it suppressed until the O5 showed up and O5 Jean outed O5 Bobby with it, and then it was pretty much out there. I also think that Charles intentionally suppressed Scott's bisexuality from him so that he could push Scott together with his little favorite (Jean), probably because he figured he could live vicariously though Scott's experience of being involved with her (since it IS canon that Charles Xavier was in love with Jean - blech). I think that Emma knew that Scott was bi (how could she not pick up on all the suppressed feelings for Logan or Kurt or even crushes on Steve and Tony?) as well as knowing that Bobby was gay, but after all the turmoil she watched her brother go through, she, unlike O5 meddlesome Jean, wasn't going to out either one of them and make their lives any more difficult than they already were until they showed signs of being ready to recognize that in themselves.
🦈 Which character is the toughest to write?
In my main fandom (Marvel) - Well, there are characters I haven't written much, so I'm not sure if they'd be tough to write, so I don't really want to say that any of them are particularly tough until I've tried them more - or had a reason to. I feel that T'Challa, as much as I absolutely fucking adore him, would be a little challenging for me to write because he's such an enormous character full of so much grace and eloquence and pride in his place and culture that I would be terrified to do damage if I didn't get him down just right.
In a fandom I love and have only written one teeny-tiny thing for (Hannibal) - Hannibal Lecter. I love listening to him speak (esp Mads' version), I love watching him move, dress, cook. He's got so much about him that I love, and he would be a huge challenge if I ever thought to try writing more for that fandom than what drabble I did for a prompt. He has a way of speaking, a way of accessing his vocabulary, and a way of carrying himself that would probably give me fits to try and mirror in a way that felt right.
🎨 If someone were to make fanart of your work, what fic or scene would you hope to see?
If someone were to make fanart of my work that I didn't have to commission, I would be chuffed as hell at any of my fics getting the fanart treatment.
That said, I would LOVE to see fanart for Hemispheres, any and and all of that series would likely produce some gorgeous and fun fanart. I would especially love fanart of the scenes of Tony visiting Loki in his Asgardian cell, reading him poetry. Or any of the battle or aftermath of the battle with the dark elves. Loki being there in place of Frigga would be interesting. Loki's dream-memory sequence where Frigga finds him in that memory, tortured and chained up by Thanos and the two of them speaking through it would be angsty af but gorgeous, I think. Loki coming into the throne room after he wakes up, escorted by Sif, and coming up with the solution to Tony's request to take him back to Earth would be fun though very detailed with all the characters present.
Oh the food fight scene in If it be your pleasure to cross the sleeping green between would be messy and colorful and delicious, esp if the fanart was of the make-out that came out of the end of it, Scott and Steve covered in canned pie filling and a total wreck of Steve's kitchen.
All lost in a wonderland (Stranger in Paradise) - Emma and Steve dancing together at Tony and Loki's Casablanca Halloween party would be gorgeous.
Of everything that stands, the end - The end scene with Bucky and Tony standing in the apple orchard, the apple shared between them, and kissing. Definitely a pretty scene.

Levi wasn't ready to send his little girl off to school. It only had been him and his child, Isabel for the past six years and now he was just supposed to send her off to school alone?
His job being a brilliant detective, it hadn't been easy making time for his daughter. That day the social worker brought the infant into his arms, he swore to love and protect the little angel at all costs.
As he waited outside the classroom, all of Levi's curiosity wore off at the sight of his running daughter. Isabel did so good in her first day, and told Levi all about their activities and her wonderful teacher, Miss Y/N.
Teaching is definitely something you never thought you'd fall in love with. Growing up, you never imagined making a living from interacting with children on a daily basis. But well, you just fell in love with it when you met your very own students.
"Goodbye, children!" You and the kids had just finished singing your goodbye song before each and every one of them ran up to give you a hug.
You watched their little figures start to walk out of the classroom to meet their parents, making sure they've safely met them. You then went to set a pillow on your desk, ready to take a nap before diving into the piles of papers waiting to be graded. As much as you love your job, twelve screaming kids are not easy to handle. Especially on a PE day. You're glad this day ended.
"Miss Y/N?" A familiar tiny voice reeked through the empty classroom, causing you to get up from your position. "Isabel? Hi sweetie... Daddy isn't here yet?" You got up from the seat and walk over to the little girl.
She shook her head and frowned. Well, her dad, Levi Ackerman is a big shot detective. At least, it's how Isabel described him. You've met him a couple times at school grounds, and heard a couple stories from little Isabel. You found it lovely to see him pick up and drop off Isabel every single day himself, despite having a busy work.
"Come on, I'm sure he will be here soon. come here." You gently took the child's hand and walked inside the playhouse, deciding to keep her accompanied while waiting to be fetched by her father.
"Bun, patty, ketchup, cheese, lettuce, bun!" You slowly top all the toy food figures together, demonstrating to Isabel how a burger is made.
"Bun, patty, ketchup, cheese, lettuce!" She copied, giggling as she finished. "Wrong..." You chuckled, making her face contort into a confused expression.
"You forgot the bun!" You point at the missing piece. "Oh! Silly me." She started laughing, finally piecing all the toys together before reaching for the plastic cup. "Cheers!" "Cheers..." You smile, clinking your cups together before pretending to sip out of it.
"Isabel..." "Dad!" the little girl started to run outside the classroom, forgetting her little backpack behind. "Don't forget your stuff!" You remind, following her behind.
Seeing Levi at school is always a delight. he's very...charming. You'd be lying if you didn't steal little glances from him whenever he's here. You watched as he carried Isabel into his arms, showering her little face with kisses before heading to the exits.
: -˚̣⋅ .
Levi kept on doing his routine where he would drop her off and pick her up from school. and every friday, they would go out for a treat. however, today was different. it was only ten in the morning when Levi got a call from the school. "she was fine this morning, what's wrong?" Erwin furrowed his brows, looking at his best friend who was now freaking out. It wasn't obvious, but he could easily tell.
"I don't know." Levi sighed as he took his belongings with him. "Yes, I'm on my way now." He spoke before hanging up the phone
"I'm here for Isabel?" He asks, as he fiddling with his suede trench coat. "Sign here." He quickly signs Isabel out of school and then proceeding to the nurse's office.
"Aww, Isabel..." He coos at the sight of Isabel seated on the clinic bed, clutching on her backpack. Kneeling down next to her, he brushes some hair out of her face. "How are you feeling?" Nothing came through her mouth but only a cry. "I'm here now brat, we're going home. Please don't cry..." She curls into his chest as he held her in his arms, gently brushing her hair.
"Excuse me Mr. Ackerman..." Levi threw her backpack around his shoulder and turns to meet the voice. "Hi, I'm Isabel's teacher, Miss Y/N." She held out her hand but Levi just stares. He's heard so many stories about Isabel's fun and sweet teacher but never knew she was so, so gorgeous. Her eyes were so keen, and her smile effortlessly took his breath away.
"Mr. Ackerman?" Her voice snaps him out of his trance. His cheeks flush pink the moment he took her hand. "Uhm, hi. I'm Levi." Pulling out a folder, she hands it over to him. "These are her school works for the rest of the week. No pressure for her to finish them right away but I just thought you'd like to have them at home so she won't be left behind." He takes it in one hand while holding Isabel in the other.
"Dad, can we go home?" Isabel cried into his arm. "Yes, don't worry." She nods gently as Levi picks her up in his arms. "Thank you, Y/N." She smiles and takes out a card from her bag, "The kids made this for you, Isabel." Y/N hands her a get-well card, filled out by all of the kids from her class. "You can read this at home." Levi smiled as Y/N reached for Isabel's backpack, putting the card in it for him. "Get well soon, Isabel." She calls as Levi walks out of the clinic. Isabel peeks out from Levi's neck and waved softly.
A few days later, Isabel and Levi stayed home with the help of her uncle Erwin. The two currently built lego buildings while Levi meticulously went through active case files that were sent to him from the precinct.
"and then put one here." Erwin instructed, reading out the instruction manual for her. "Hey, dad." Levi was seated across the table from the two. "Yes, brat?"
"Why were you looking at Miss Y/N like that?" Levi froze at her question, embarrassment slowly started to consume him as Erwin gave him a smug look. Levi smiled at the memory, remembering his encounter with Y/N yesterday at the grocery store, only for his expression to be brushed away when he remembers Isabel's remarks.
"You still have a fever! Go back to bed!" Levi politely asks, before glaring at Erwin. "Do you have a crush on Miss Y/N? Is she pretty?" Levi shook his head, putting away his laptop. "Where are all these questions coming from, hm?" Isabel shrugged and continued building the lego structure with Erwin. "Kids never lie indeed." Erwin teased
"Okay, well, I think she is pretty..." Levi started admitted, putting away his stuff and walked over to Isabel, "And that's enough questions for you." He picks her up in his arms and set her down on the sofa. "Hey! we're not yet done with the castle!" Erwin scolds Levi. "You will finish that after her nap." Levi answers.
"Really, brat, what's this about?" Levi takes notice of Isabel's frowny expression. "She is very sweet. My friends tell me their mommy is sweet too." His heart sinks as her voice grew silent. Levi never hid the fact that Isabel was adopted. She always knew that growing up and he was thankful that it never became a problem for them. But hearing Isabel talk about her friends' mothers made him feel sorry that she didn't have one.
"I know, angel. The day that I adopted you is the best day of my life and nothing will ever compare to that." Levi smiles at the fond memory of holding her in his arms for the first time. "I do find Ms. Y/N beautiful but right now, it's just us." Levi gives her nose a slight boop and kiss. "I love you dad." Isabel curls up in his embrace.
: -˚̣⋅ .
Not long enough, Parent-Teacher conference came around. Levi took his time in front of the mirror, properly aligning the cravat under his collar and making sure he looked decent. "How long will you be out?" Erwin walks in Levi's room. "I'll text you. Thank you again for babysitting her." Levi finished up fixing before heading for the door. "Dad will be back." He gives Isabel a kiss on the forehead before ruffling her soft hair.
The drive to school was quick. But Levi couldn't help but feel nervous. It's just a meeting... Levi finally gets a glance of Y/N who was waving off to a pair of parents walking out of the classroom.
Her face lights up at the sight of Levi in a distance. It was hard to deny how attractive he looks. "Thanks for coming, Levi." Levi had started staying for a little while at school after picking Isabel up, which lead to him and Y/N to have plenty of conversations, which also explains how Y/N earned first name privileges from Levi. And their interactions only made him grew more interest in her.
Levi couldn't help but be captivated by his daughter's teacher. Y/N is very kind, friendly, sweet, and good to her students. Especially gorgeous. Erwin would always tease him as he noticed the smile on his face whenever he would subtly bring Y/N up to a conversation.
"I mean, this is required right." Levi remarked as he takes a seat on one of the small chairs. Y/N smiles at the sight of his figure seated on the tiny, tiny chair meant for a five year old.
"Isabel is a very wonderful student. Although she tends to get very playful especially on PE day." Y/N remarks, making Levi smile. "Well, she's always been active." He agrees. "And, one time at PE day, we played cops and robbers and she straight up went for cops, so she can be ‘just like dad.’ " She shares.
"Oh, yeah..." He nods, hiding the blush in his cheeks. "She is so proud of you." Y/N smiles. "Thank you..." Levi nods. "Other than that, excellent grades, active participation in class, and very consistent." Y/N added. "Well, she has an amazing teacher." Levi points out, making Y/N smile.
"Also, if you didn't know, I gave each one of the kids a journal– I uhm, let them write down anything they want or what they feel so I can, you know, assess their well-being in and out of the classroom." Y/N says and Levi hums. "and Isabel drew one interesting picture in it." Y/N pulls out Isabel's notebook, showing Levi one of her drawings.
The page was titled "My Family". Levi saw a doodle of himself, Isabel, and another woman figure holding hands together. "When I asked her who these people are, she became very giggly and said that was me." Y/N points at the woman on the drawing. "I am very sorry Y/N." Levi spoke, observing the drawing. "It's alright, Levi." She smiles kindly. "Really, it's fine." She chuckled at the blushing Levi in front of her, still staring at the picture Isabel drew.
"Isabel speaks very highly of you, Ms. L/N. And she tells me you are pretty all the time. and, well, I had to agree." Levi confidently admits. "And you are very charming, Detective." She rests her face in her palms as Levi leans against her desk. It had been a while since they addressed each other in their titles and last names.
"It's an honor to hear that from you, gorgeous." He smirks. Y/N's stomach fills with butterflies at the name that slipped through his mouth with so much charm. Levi slyly takes out one of the roses on Y/N's desk, presenting it to her with a smile. "I really hope this isn't too forward but...I would really like the honor of taking you out on a date." Y/N looks from the rose and then to Levi's charming smile.
She knew he was a brilliant, polite, private man and not to mention a very caring father. Truly someone who doesn't come along often. "Of course, Levi. I would love to go out with you." She takes back the rose and brushes its delicate petals over Levi's flushed cheeks. "In fact, you are my last meeting and it's only six o clock..." She smirks. "Join me for dinner then..." Levi takes out his arm for which she gladly took, closing up the classroom on their way out.
"The brat's gonna love this..." Levi jokes, earning a laugh from Y/N.

2 years later
You eventually let go of teaching and focused on another passion of yours, which you found just as much joy in. Not long enough, Levi also had asked to marry you.
Tonight, you had just started celebrating your marriage in the reception with your family, and Levi's closest friends. After a tiring couple minutes of having your first dance, you finally took your seat in front of everyone, trying to catch your breaths.
"Wait here, let me get Isabel." Levi says, leaving you on the table with a glass of water. Not long after, your husband came back, now with Isabel by his side. "We have one more gift for you." He smiles, as Isabel hands you over a folder. "What's this?" You raise your brows before opening the document, seeing papers and forms for you to become Isabel's legal guardian.
"She's been dying to ask you, and since we're here...I thought we could start our fa– I'd love to! Yes! Give me a pen!" You squeal in joy, leaving the father and daughter smiling. "Really?" Levi questioned. "Yes!" you eagerly sign the papers, going in to hug Isabel in your arms. "Thank you mommy!" She says, jumping in your arms. "Of course pumpkin." You awe, looking up at your husband.
"My girls." Levi sits down by your side, joining the two of you in your little hug before planting a kiss on your lips.
We unexpectedly find ourselves from one place, then to somewhere completely different with the people who matter the most. The universe is funny that way, sometimes it just has a way of making sure we wind up exactly where we belong.

Hey~ some young EraserMic fanfics.
First of all, sorry for my english, it's not my native language
Since I don't find many young Erasermic fanfics, I decided to share with you some of the ones I liked the most and, who knows, with this encouragement, some writers feel inspired and decide to write some more? I don't know, I think it's just an appeal from a disaster girl.
Anyway~
Summary: As far as camping goes, it’s probably within Yamada’s Top Three Least Favorite Things To Do list.
But maybe this camping trip wouldn’t turn out so bad, so long as he has Aizawa by his side.
Second part:
Hizashi apologizing to Aizawa for making him insecure. Read Murphy's law first to understand.
Written by @tiniest-hands-in-all-the-land
----------------------------------------------------------
Summary: “I thought you might wanna hang around someone who didn’t hate your guts!” Yamada yells. “But I guess you just get off on everyone hating you!”
“I don’t care what people think about me,” Aizawa hisses back, just as coldly.
Or
Yamada's relationship with Aizawa is on thin ice, to say the least. Too bad class trips, technical mishaps, and simulated natural disasters don't consider personal vendettas when putting a damper on your day.
I highly recommend this story as it is a twist of feelings and emotions. I could feel on my skin every sensation I read. All the effort the author puts into their stories is almost magical.

----------------------------------------------------------
5 times Hizashi drops everything to take Shōta somewhere where he can rest comfortably, and 1 time Shōta picks everything up to allow Hizashi some repose
Hizashi being cute and careful with his "friend".
Written by @tiniest-hands-in-all-the-land
----------------------------------------------------------
I smiled on every line of this story. Just two cute boys being cute.
Written by @ill-go-with-that-then
----------------------------------------------------------
Just a warning: it's hot.
----------------------------------------------------------
Summary: 8-year-old Hitoshi Shinsou is Quirkless—at least, that’s what his foster dads have been told by the orphanage. Hitoshi never speaks, he signs, although there were no mentioned disabilities or medical conditions on his file to explain this. He’s seemingly capable of speaking, but it’s a mystery as to why he doesn’t. One day, however, a ruthless gang member breaks into the Aizawa-Yamada residence, intent on revenge for Shouta's capture of their brother, and upon seeing his foster dads in trouble, Hitoshi is left with no choice but to reveal his ‘villainous’ Quirk to save them.
I was so moved by this story that I had to reread it 4 times in less than a month to relive every good feeling that was transmitted to me.
----------------------------------------------------------
“What are you, scared, Aizawa?” Kayama leered, leaning in too close and poking at his side.
Shouta swatted her hand away. “Why would I be scared?” he scoffed. “They’re just mirrors.”
Hizashi fidgeted, leaning closer in a way that would be imperceptible if Shouta weren’t ridiculously over-aware of him. “The place looked deserted when we came in… maybe we should leave? We could still make it to the party!”
“We can’t leave without solving the maze,” Shouta said, irritably.
--
Don't trust your eyes...
Ma babys are scared and in love
Written by @ill-go-with-that-then
----------------------------------------------------------
He tries to put all the enthusiasm he feels into it, to reassure Shouta that this step in their friendship is wanted and welcome.
It seems to work. Shouta’s shoulders relax, and he grins up at Hizashi, wiping his hair out of his eyes. He misses a piece, and Hizashi has to shove his hands into his pockets to keep from giving in to the strange impulse to tuck it behind Shouta’s ear.
It’s different, after that.
Another point of view.
Ah, young love. These boys are so soft. I can't handle that anymore. If you want to scream because you can't handle the amount of cuteness, you must read this.

1.
One In A Billion summary: Mic as a weapon is too much to handle. Aizawa as a meister is difficult to get along with. What will happen when these two odd souls are forced into taking on one of the names at the top of
Death's hit list?
It's Soul Eater AU time!!
2.
Clarity summary: Mic had his secrets, this Shouta knew. Even after all this time, when their souls resonated, there were places Shouta felt he couldn’t go, places Mic blocked from him. Shouta had these places within his own soul, too, but whenever something was truly important, Mic always seemed to know how to gently tug the truth out of him. Shouta, unfortunately, had no such similar tact, and usually he didn’t need to; Mic was open about so much.
How bad could Mic's secrets really be?
I was fine, until Yami quotes the song Clarity, and Yamada enjoying the song claiming to remember Shota when he hears it? I almost screamed. I love this fanfic from the bottom of my soul.

Those were the cutest young Erasermic stories I've read. I just wanted to share with you a little bit of my daily dose of love.
And yes, I reread them every day because they are the ones I liked the most. It's so well written that it really makes me feel every emotion as I read this.
Oh! And I will be updating as I find new good fanfics

Hiiii I've been following you for a LONG time now, have read so many of your fics and drabbles (Why is Everything So Weird a personal fav of mine) and I recently started writing fics and wanted to ask this for a bit but ehhh was pretty nervous to do it but I'm feeling kinda low and was wondering if you ever gey discouraged?? Or just a general lack of umph? Sorry if this is weird or a downer or whatever :/
Hmhmm, well firstly I want to start this by saying thank you so much for reading my stories. I'm really glad that I've been able to keep you entertained and coming back for more!
In regards to feeling discouraged, I think it's quite normal for every creative in almost every field to get a little down about their own work sometimes, especially in fanfiction. It's important to remember that fanfics, unlike traditional or even self-published books, are a lot more volatile and unstable. When someone finds an author that they really enjoy in a bookstore, they probably search for more works from that same author because they want to read more of what they've written.
I don't do that 😅
My brain is so flighty, my tastes so particular, my attention span fleeting - generally when I enjoy a story, I'm too lost in the STORY itself to think much about the author. As a writer, that's a pretty bad habit of mine but it's true, and I'm sure the same can be said for lots of other people! Some are a one-and-done kind of deal and those who read fanfiction are more prone to being like that.
Because fanfiction is so unpredictable, you might feel discouraged when uploading your work but you really shouldn't be! So many different factors go into who chooses to read your stuff and who chooses not to: timing, length, completion, AU preferences, characterization preferences, too much smut, not enough romance, too much dialogue, not enough description, paragraph sizes (!!!) - I've even seen multiple people on TikTok talk about how someone could really be enjoying a fic but the character says "babe" once in chapter 27 and suddenly it feels too ooc for them and they have to immediately unsub from that fic. A single word choice can make people flee for the hills because fanfiction is extensive and never-ending and if one story doesn't scratch their itch then surely another piece of work somewhere else can.
If you're having second thoughts about your writing because maybe the views/kudos aren't where you want them to be, or you got an unfriendly comment/ask/DM, then I implore you to remember how picky people are with their fanfiction. Because fanfics aren't published works. People aren't just willing to "go along with the ride" or "suspend their disbelief for the sake of the story" because they aren't reading an "original" story. Many people read fanfiction as an emotional or mental escape from reality, and so they like their fics to be a very certain way that caters to what they enjoy the most out of those characters.
I know I sound like a broken record - believe me, I know - but whenever I'm feeling discouraged and uninspired, I try to remind myself that just like with my readers, writing fanfiction is my own personal escape. It's not meant to pander to other people's interests, or competing to be the best of the best, or even searching for validation from others, and if you find yourself writing for any of these reasons then maybe it's time for you to take a little break and do some nice things for yourself! Read a good book, or binge watch a new tv show, or sit down and really get invested in a new video game, maybe try and learn a new skill, or even catch up on all of those Youtube videos from your favs that are piling up in your subscription box!
Because at the end of the day, whatever you're choosing to write about should be written by you, FOR you. It's your own form of entertainment! You're the one running the show, you're the one calling the shots, these are your little puppets and you're gonna make them dance however you want them to dance because that's what YOU enjoy. And hey, if other people end up stopping in and happen to like your work too, and they want to follow along and leave you really nice comments and encourage you to write more then that just makes the process even more enjoyable! But it should never be about gaining/keeping an audience, no matter what those damn Stats try and make you believe.
I think the best thing to do when you're feeling discouraged is to take a deep breath, step back from wherever you do your writing (laptop, notebook, phone, etc), and try to remember why you started in the first place. Try and remember how excited you were when you came up with a new idea that was so vivid and clear in your mind that you raced to the Notes app in your phone so that you could go back to it later. Try and remember how many fics you've read in the past that you loved so much that sometimes you still think about them, and try not to see them as your competition, or what you have to live up to, but as a constant reminder of all your passion.
Try and remember that if others can do it, then why not you too?
Burnout is hard, writer's block is worse, but forgetting why you enjoyed it so much in the first place in exponentially more heartbreaking. You don't have to appease anyone, you just have to make yourself laugh, make yourself cry, make yourself feel powerful enough to take on the entire world! The rest of everything else will follow in its own time when you've reclaimed the confidence that you once had in yourself, I promise 🧡

I'VE KINDA BEEN DYING TO ASK YOU THIS SO IMMA ASK... what do you think keiji was like before the shooting?
I think that the game gives us every reason to believe that Keiji was an extraordinarily good person before the shooting.
The story shows us an idealistic young boy with a dream to become one of society’s protectors. He had a noble calling in life and he followed it through, chasing his dream until he joined the same organization as his childhood hero. He must have been focused and determined. As a young man, he is earnest and respectful. I’m sure he was eager to keep living that way, to learn to be the kind of honorable man who stands up for the weak and vulnerable, but still wisely avoids violence whenever possible. He worked hard to fill his hero’s shoes.
That’s my impression! I think Keiji’s flaws in the past were of an entirely different sort than his flaws in the present. He would have been naïve instead of jaded. Present-day Keiji would probably consider his past-self foolish. My sister once called him “the prodigal dupe.” If I were writing a fanfiction about young Keiji, I’d lean in to making him willfully ignorant as he ages. I’d write him as the kind of person who doesn’t want to see corruption until it’s too late, because I find that kind of character compelling. (And it’s a very relatable, human flaw.) I think it’s easy to lose sight of the whole, horrid truth when you’re ambitiously pursuing your childhood dream.
Back when I was first trying to describe Keiji’s character to my sister, I settled on this analogy: “He’s like if Obi-Wan Kenobi turned to the Dark Side. He’s like if Obi-Wan lost all his faith and idealism in the Jedi Knights, but retained his abilities to lie and manipulate.” We think of Obi-Wan as this incredibly noble knight who could never turn evil, but if he did, he would be a truly terrifying, dangerous figure. Because he’s so good at lying. He’s not just fearsome; he’s clever.
And it’s worth noting that the greatest mind trick Obi-Wan ever pulled was on himself, that he convinced himself that the Jedi were doing everything right and the Republic was good. Neither of these things were true, but he didn’t realize until it was too late and his apprentice was burning in front of him. Keiji found himself in a very similar position after he shot his childhood hero.
But before that point! Obi-Wan was still an extraordinarily good person, right? Reliable, brave, intelligent, kind, and possessing a good sense of humor. I like to think that Keiji was cut from the same mold. I like to think that he was still witty and funny back then, but his jokes weren’t so dark. I like to think that when Keiji does nice things in the present, like let Sara rest on his shoulder, he’s acting from the kind of protective instinct that he had when he was young. Maybe he just acts that way out of habit, even if he’s grown cynical enough to know that kind acts can be transactions of trust.
I wanted to end this with a shout-out to one of my favorite fanfics, “Sister” by SarIIon on Ao3. It’s an AU where the primary focus is on a teenage Shin as he tries to pick up his little sister Kanna from daycare. But partway through the fic, after everything has gone wrong for Shin and he’s very late, he meets his upper-classman, teenage Keiji Shinogi. The depiction of teenage Keiji is so iconic and I absolutely adore it. He’s so upright and responsible and charming. Like, the first thing he does is save Shin’s life before he walks into a fast-moving car, but the next thing he does is check for signs if Shin is high on drugs haha. Already acting like the job he wants! Anyway, I thought Keiji’s cameo in this fic as an aggressively Lawful Good teenager was so delightful. It definitely influenced the way I imagined him.
Thanks for asking such a happy question. I was looking forward to rewarding myself with this one!

Can you make a fanfic of how Stanford realized he had a crush on Fiddleford and how Fiddleford notice how strange Stanford's been acting around him. By the way, I love your art especially your knight au...I've been thinking maybe you should do a Pirate AU
Characters: Stanford Pines and Fiddleford McGucketWord Count: 722
Thank you Anon! I love pirate aus let me tell you and I do have one for GF but it’s just a bunch of ideas not real story I just like drawing the characters as pirates and little writings with ‘em. I don’t mind drawing more pirate stuff though. Always been a fan of pirate stuff. I haven’t read or seen too many pirate aus that wasn’t filled with a pairing I don’t want anywhere near me so maybe in the future.Under the cut cause this got a bit long some how???
Stanford didn’t really have friends before Fiddleford, but he doesn’t remember it feeling like this. He thought it was just from finally connect to someone on his level. He thought it was just how even their serious arguments ended up with both of them in a laughing mess because how normal was it that two grown men were yelling at each other over chemicals?
But every time Fidds shook his hand, Ford would feel the imprint of that hand in his for days. It was like a calm burning across his palm that he didn’t mind.
Ford was alone looking down at his 6 fingered hand when it dawned on him and his whole face turned bright red.
This is what his brother talked about whenever he had a crush on someone.
Ford had a crush.
Ford had a crush on his best friend.
“Oh no…” He muttered before being startled by Fidds knocking on his open door.
“Ford, I’m lookin’ at your math and made corrections.” The man didn’t look up from the papers in his hand and Ford has never been so grateful as he tried to ease his breathing. “Want you to look at ‘em again just to…Ford are you okay?”
“F-Fine!” He said too quickly leaning on his desk knocking over papers. “Crap…” He picked them up.
Fidds went over to help. “You’ve been been pushin’ yourself, Stanferd. Why don’t you take a small rest for the day?”
“I-I-I…” He pulled the papers to his chest.
Fidds smiled at him handing over the last few papers. “I won’t tell a soul.” He patted Ford’s shoulder before pulling himself up. “So take a nap or somethin’ ya genius.”
“Y-yeah…” Ford gripped the shoulder the other man touched feeling the burn spread. “I will.”
“I’m gonna just pack up then and go back to my place, got my own little projects to work on, ya know.”
“Of c-course.” Ford didn’t look at him as he left the room.
For the next week, Ford more or less avoided Fiddleford and wouldn’t speak louder than a whisper when he couldn’t avoid him. The other man thought at first it was just stress and lack of taking care of himself. He’s seen the man collapse over it before! So he made sure there was food in the cabin and tried to make sure small things didn’t go wrong.
But then 4 days pass and he wasn’t sure it was just stress anymore. It was on the 6th day when Fidds backed into Ford, that he knew there was something the man wasn’t telling him. Ford jumped a few feet from Fidds like he hurt him suddenly. He looked like a deer in headlights before he excused himself.
“Stanferd.”
Ford stiffen.
“You’ve been actin’ crazier than that raccoon we found in my truck in college.” Fidds closed the book he was reading. “What’s gotten into ya?”
“I-I-I-” Ford buried his face into his own book but Fidds could see the tips of his ears glowing red.
“You can tell me anythin’ Ford, ya know that.” Fidds didn’t move from his seat  afraid that Ford would bolt if he did. “So tell me what’s wrong. Did I do somethin’?”
At that Ford shot up. “W-What? No! No, y-you didn’t do anything! It’s…it’s…me? It’s not you.”
“But I clearly upset you in some way.”
“Y-You didn’t! It’s all me and my stupid…f-feelings. Dammit!” He slammed his hands on the table as he stood up and ran a hand through his hair. “Shit…”
“Stanferd?” Fidds voice was laced with concern and it made Ford feel worse.
He stared at the papers and books on the table. “I like you Fiddleford.”
Fidds was silent.
“I feel like a teenager!” He yelled before turning to the other man. “I like you! It took me this long to realize it too, but I’ve probably had this crush since college!”
Fidds stared at Ford with a confused look.
“I’m sorry,” Ford whispered as he rubbed his arms.
“Ford, is that all?”
Ford’s head shot up as he watched Fidds get up from his seat to walk over to him. He put his hands on the man’s shoulders.
“It’s good ta know I ain’t the only one.”
