— he's incredibly observant, so he picks up on lots of things most people would ignore
— the change in your demeanour, the way you stim and fidget, the way you'd essentially 'shut down'
— none of it goes unnoticed by miguel
— he's extremely patient and understanding
— he is a spider-man/ scientist after all, so he def has lots of knowledge about it. he knows that it's a spectrum, and no two are the same, so he's spent a long time learning your behaviours and patterns to tailor his help exactly to you
— like he's trying to understand you better and see what you do like and don't like, what you need and what you don't need. boundaries and possible triggers etc etc
— he NEVER judges you, ever!! whether that be stimming, info dumping, special interests and hyper fixations, just anything !!
— I feel like he feels special to be able to see the true you (unmasked) maybe there's a pun or inside joke about both of you wearing masks
— he loves to hear what's been running riot in your brain- your new fave show, a new topic you've found interest in. he def likes to listen to you talk and would never make you feel bad for doing so
— he's careful with the way he words things, as you may struggle to understand the meaning and intention- and wouldn't want to upset you
— but he doesn't treat you like you're fragile, like you're made of glass. he gives your special treatment bc he loves you, not bc of your disability
— he makes sure that you never feel like a burden. you may apologise every so often for 'being too much work' but he reassures you constantly, saying he would have it no other way etc
— despite him wanting to be around you all the time, he knows that you need to have your alone time, especially if you're overstimulated
— he lets you be and gives you space while still being near- he keeps a close distance essentially. close enough to let you breathe, but still there to comfort you if needed
— he has great paternal instincts but never treats you like a baby or child. he utilises his knowledge of fatherhood and uses it in ways to help you without being condescending or patronising
— sorta feel like he's a mind reader. like he just knows what you need when you need it, but without suffocating you. like he can tell if you're about to be non-verbal. and he just knows the moment before you get overwhelmed and helps you out of the situation (again without smothering you)
— he appreciates your empathy, and need for justice. dare I say, he loves your anger too (without it sounding selfish) like he admires your vast range of emotions, and how you're so human

its called the parker curse not the morales curse 😒
atsv spoilers under cut
ok...jokes aside. after a certain point when miguel was going in on miles, i don't think he was talking about miles anymore.
and to be clear, what he said and how he said it can't be easily taken back--scorched earth yada yada-- so its impact still stands. but if you've ever had an argument as a child with a traumatized + unhealed adult-- it felt like that.
had me sweating in the theatre because you can feel him projecting HEAVY mid-way through. the way he dealt with miles, even before he started the hunt, def felt like he was punishing his past self / trying to stop his past self rather then understand a new situation +person
the assumptions he was making about miles and how he handles multi-dimensional travel, seem to lean heavy on fear. and that makes sense considering his past, but i do think only viewing justice within the lens of fearing what may happen isn't productive in the long run.
they still don't know how these initial dimensional slip ups happen before the collider exploded and bagel guy showed up. (or do they???lol) nor do they know what decides canon and non-canon (i remember the comic book authority approval at the beginning of the film and i wonder if they get mentioned again or if its just a one off joke)
(getting a lil meta there, do you think we'll get a lego movie esq ending next movie???mfkers wake up and realize they're comic book characters)
-
on the conflict
personally i love a good "hero tries to save them all, and realizes their innate limitations" type storyline, but i don't think that's the conclusion they're going for.
for example i thought Pavitr would def get his shit rocked after his spiel about being spiderman being easy and that he's happy. and he did go through something (and probably will go through something else considering he has a living girlfriend )
BUT he was able to reach out for help instead. he couldn't do it all, but he didn't have to. and i think that plot line is just as compelling as him failing outright and dragging himself out of the trenches as a lonely hero.
the "save one person vs. an entire dimension" conflict is interesting because miles is a believer in "why not both". often times with these trolly problem esq. situations, the person who questions the existence of the dilemma is dismissed.
miles is considered naive because he thinks he can "do it all". but i don't think thats the case. miles considers both because despite the trauma, he's been surrounded by a loving community who sees the best in him.
so he knows (consciously or not) that he can do both because he's not alone. he is the lone spiderman, but that doesn't have to be the case. that's why he was so excited for the spider-club cause he thought he wouldn't have to endure alone, but instead he was met with the fact that the club was meant to reaffirm their loneliness rather then circumvent it.
(also the possibility of this franchise introducing other heros later on is something im begging for btw but ik copyright will nuke that)
if miles is an anomaly, the possibility of his events deviating from the norm does exist. miles had the right to question if it was really the only way or if miguel just didn't want to try otherwise. and to be honest im questioning if miles was really the first anomaly considering we don't have all the details about miguel's backstory
-
on comics
what does it mean to be spiderman? to uphold goodness? to be a compelling hero?
For a lot of the characters explored, their justice is tied to their suffering. they are good heros because they've seen the worst and wil. endure the worst and that's what makes them compelling. but with this "new" generation of heroes, that doesn't hold up when we consider intersectional identities and what the audience desires to see from their hero's.
if the audience is already enduring and suffering in their day-to-day lives what can they get out of a story that only reaffirms the daily injustices of their reality. i don't want heros that look like me if they only uphold the status quo "suffer, work, live, be good". that isn't enough. i love me some angst, but what else makes the story compelling???
i read the superhero genre because i want better. I want to be able to fight back, to question, to explore. to stretch the idea of what goodness and justice looks like for communities that are used to being told to accept the bare minimum and just survive.

this is just a thought for the moment, but, i'm wondering (and processing through writing, it's not a full fledged idea) if there's like. a chance if the greater outraged people/suspicious atl fandom could somehow. have a lawyer in their midst and make an offer of their services publicly to the girl who claimed things on twitter and it could be like a fan effort? obv it's a big thing to try coordinate but i'm in the mood for some movie style vigilante shit and i'm just. entertaining the possibility (even though i am definitely not a lawyer). but when i look at things fans have come together and coordinated it def does feel smaller than some things that are outright unhelpful yet people came together for
while i think this would be a better idea than what's currently happening, and of course done with good intentions, i genuinely do not think something like this would never come to fruition, mainly due to the online nature of the allegations and simply how much would actually have to be done on the legal side alone by even the most organized groups of fans.
pls note i'm not an expert on us law. i'm also still in my undergrad, and NOT a law student, but here's how i see it based on my knoweldge of that system.
firstly, i'm not even sure you can bring a legal case on these accusations to a court. i mainly focus on the criminal side in my degree, so i know a lot about this stuff, but because this case was not one that was reported to/investigated to the police (by my knowledge), there's nothing a criminal court can do. this case wouldn't even be brought up there. the reason all time low is able to sue in civil court is because they are suing on defamation charges, and not criminal charges. however, the victim, because they remained anonymous in the original post would not be able to countersue for the same issue. so that's the initial challenge, that i'm pretty sure there's not even a charge that the victims could sue all time low for, it would have to process through a criminal legal avenue.
the only thing i can imagine on the civil level is potentially something to do with not advertising their shows at 18+? but at the same time, it's really hard to think that there's any substantive argument coming out of that, considering there's no us regulation against not advertising 18+ on tickets. and while i don't necessarily think that what all time low was saying at their shows was appropriate, i don't think that it was out of the realm of "acceptable social behaviour" especially for bands in their genre at the time (which they would definitely use as a counterargument for their behaviour)
even if this case somehow did get off the ground, there' still so many other barriers to getting justice for these victims through the legal system. while of course the number of 97 has never been officially confirmed by anyone, there were still a lot of accusations against the band. the difficulty here is that there is no guarantee that all of these people live within the same legal jurisdiction or even the same country. that would likely mean trials in several different areas, which the victims probably would not be able to afford (even if there was a lawyer in the midst of atl fans).
most lawyers don't often do pro bono work, in the first place, and i've personally never heard of it being done across countries like that. logistically, it sounds like a nightmare, because the legal system is so much more than just going to court and pleading your case. it's discovery meetings and motions to dismiss and very much so requires in person or at least consistent online interaction between lawyers and their clients. very rarely do cases actually go to court, with most settling far before it even gets to that stage. and because so much of this broke online and on twitter, with very little other than just stories from victims, it wouldn't be worth it to try to fight it. any lawyer considering picking this up would know that the judge would probably dismiss the case, on the basis of lack of evidence about a year into the process. i say lack of evidence btw, not as away to say i don't believe the stories, but that court admissible evidence is very different from what the average person considers to be evidence. it has to follow a very strict set of guidelines and anything that does not fit the bill is striken from record. and with tiktok and twitter information especially, very rarely does all of it pass through within any issues whatsoever.
anyways, the lawyer would likely realize then that they'd pretty much be wasting a year of everyone's time and money with this case, and simply just not pick it up. it'd probably have to be a very invested lawyer to pursue it in the first place, with more evidence and what they believe is an iron-clad case. but solely on what broke online, i just don't see enough for anyone to want to go after it.
this is also why a lot of sa vicitms don't go to the police or to the courts with their stories. because the system is simply not set up to benefit them, or to get them true justice. they are asked time and time again to prove to the courts that they've gone through this intense trauma, and so much of the time, it is not acceptable just to say that it happened. there has to be stacks on stacks of evidence, and even then, the court can rule against them based on whether or not they truly believed that the defendant did the things they were accused of. it's really tough, and while i would say some places are getting better at adapting their legal system to accomodate these issues, the us is definitely not one of them. with the current way their legal system is set up, it's hard for any victim, with even mountains of receipts and testimony, to receive justice. much less with how little admissible court evidence there would be in this case

God I wish I could read more of your idea with Persephone and Hades so bad.
Your brain is just so big.
Maybe down the line I might dabble some into art for it but it's very low on my list since I'm not too into myth retellings.
I LOVE READING THEM-but writing them myself is such a big venture I know I wouldn't be able to handle on a full scale. Only little doodles and designs for the funzies.
I would def be interested in seeing others pursue a less romantic storyline between Persephone and Hades though because I feel like it has so much potential to just explore that tension. And not the sexual sort everyone loves to focus on when it comes to that story but the constant tension of having to coexist with some god who has decided to displace you due to their own desires for you and the way a drastic change like that could effect someone.
That is such a tidal wave of emotions that isn't utilized enough.
I also would love to just see more Demeter justice because she is a mom who rightfully is heartbroken over her daughter basically being kidnapped without any input from her or her daughter...granted I've read some things about how the dad tends to have a final say in marriage but even then...like holy shit it all just happens right under Demeter's nose. There's a righteous fury in her grief causing winter that I do not see a lot of in many stories.
I know very surface level things about the Greek Gods so my idea of Demeter is of course not accurate but the concept of her being a deity that is known to help with crops and harvest which is crucial to survival for mortals because ya know...FOOD and her being so tied to the life of humans and just dropping all of that for her daughter because of an unfair deal she didn't even know of until it was too late???
Such a slept on premise which is why anytime I see a retelling where Demeter is simplified to a helicopter parent or just bitchy to push Persephone rebelling to Hades I just have to go "I understand your vision but I wish there was more flavor to it".

Thinking of packing up and leaving
So i dunno if i even need to give context to anyone following me but like.
This site is not and has not been a good place for trans people, trans women especially. There's obviously the situation we're in now with predstrogen's ridiculous banning, but that was just a tipping point, building off of her being harassed and stalked, with staff seemingly unwilling to do much of anything for her situation. And i know about that situation *because* predstrogen was a big blog all things considered. How many others have faced similar harassment to get crickets? Hell predstrogen's flagged selfie isn't unique, we've known for a while trans women on this site were unfairly getting flagged for perfectly normal photos. This isn't to downplay what's happening to her at all, this situation is horrible and I'm glad its getting attention and I sincerely hope justice is served.
And like. That's me, I am a trans woman on this site, and while I haven't faced harassment or being flagged as explicit for existing, i am just. *not* comfortable using this site with all of that baggage attached. So by the 13th of March, just so i have some time before I have to do it, I will have either left this site, (without having deactivated in case I one day come back- leaving the queue to run through posts until its dry) or possibly changed my mind? idk and I wouldn't count on it. I also gently encourage y'all to also consider leaving, though i do understand y'all may not be able or willing i guess.
If you haven't already and are able to, please report the situation to the NYC CCHR complaint page https://www.nyc.gov/site/cchr/about/report-discrimination.page
To my mutuals and the followers I see and wanna follow but my dash is already pretty big and I dunno how much more I woulda been able to handle, I'll def try to at least give a farewell if not try to keep in touch!
And if you know a trans person in your life, any trans person in your life at all, wish them well :]
Take care of yourselves <3

libra x scara 🥺🙏🏻 or capitano or dottore (i have... a type 🤭😭)
sorry i cant do capitano or dottore well but ill def give you my best scara!
im just putting this disclaimer here for every response that this should not be taken as serious and some things may or may not be true to you and thats okay! this is simply based off my thoughts and research, of course they'll be a bit off bc i don't actually know you guys lmao, hope you enjoy the read!
capricorn and libra
Tumblr media
scara is a capricorn and you're a libra so, you two would be an interesting match... im sorry to burst your bubble in advance. at first i think you guys would be nice in your weird dynamic. you may be a new sight to scara, you seek justice or see the most in people. he's never experienced someone like that before i think he'd be drawn to it.
buutttt when you guys are more invovled and know eachother better it become rocky...
now, you may often worry about how what you do affects others or how it looks to them and scara probably couldn't care any less about others thoughts. so imagine you're tryna do something with him and he's just shutting down all of it for sport, yeah id be pissed too, at the very least i think he'd entertain your ideas for a while.
libras are often very social (whether you are an introvert or not), they can be very kinda to others and will do anything to keep peace. scara will literally shit on all of that, if he feels wronged he'll cause hell if needed (proof archon quest). you may try to work on that with him but i wouldn't expect much he's very stubborn.
on the brighter side! you may be very creative with genius ideas and scara is resilient, he'd do anything to get your guys' plans accomplished and assist you in anyway needed, even if it costs him. you may be an open minded person, willing to give anyone a chance, espcially someone like him. he's very interested in adapting, so he'd be able to loosen up and become more of himself with you.
i think you two would be very trusting of eachother so you guys dont have big fights often. you both have a common ground with eachother and dont step over boundaries, theres mutual respect!
althouugghhh, you are dating a fatui harbinger (this is b4 his transformation ofc) so he very work focused and he is also an emotionless puppet so you guys would not have a very nurturing relationship. doesnt mean you couldnt try though!
in the end this relationship is better off as friendship, there just isn't enough there to be committed like that you two would just grow apart.
compatibility: like 40 if you try hard enough
this is brutal im so sorry 🥲

Ghost: Pompous heavy rock theater in pure culture
With the magnificent album "Impera" in their luggage, the Swedish performance hard rockers Ghost came to the Wiener Stadthalle for the first time. Only about 3,000 let themselves be carried away by the fire- and effect-rich show of mastermind Tobias Forge, who is slowly but surely working his way up to the very most important entertainers of modern rock culture. Hits paired with entertainment and a lot of irony - plus an actual interview with the band boss shortly before the concert.
The mixture of comedic elements, stylish self-irony, hard riffs, ABBAesque pop melodies and the unerring sense for an audiovisually uplifting arena show has been perfected by mastermind Forge over the years in such a way that, although the element of surprise from the past has been somewhat lost, the professionalism of the performance can compete with the greats. Pyro effects during the classic "Year Zero", an Alice Cooper-like shower of money during "Mummy Dust" or paralyzing light shows during the whole, almost two-hour set proved that the homage to the live shows of the greats of the past became second nature to Ghost. A bit more material from the new masterpiece "Impera" would have suited the band well, the Metallica cover "Enter Sandman" was rather unnecessary for that and only a highlight for narrow-minded nostalgics. Show, vocals, sound and joy of playing beyond all doubt. Before the dark mass Forge granted us audience for a conversation about role models, offerings and education methods.
"Krone": Tobias, your shows get bigger and more bombastic from tour to tour. You yourself are a huge fan of big concerts and rock spectacles. Which stage settings excited and inspired you yourself?
Tobias Forge: Those of very many bands from the 70s and 80s. The arena rock of the '60s and '70s wasn't that exciting live, but in the '80s everything was surpassed. The Beatles were still playing club shows in front of a few people, but the live business really got big with the Rolling Stones in the U.S. in the late '60s. Pink Floyd started pushing the boundaries and in the 80s the stages became bombastic. My main source of inspiration was the Rolling Stones in 1989 and 1990, but also Metallica on the "...And Justice For All" and "Black Album" tours. Iron Maiden also did great things on the "Powerslave" and "Live After Death" tours. Our show with Ghost is more a tribute to the pompous shows in the 80s.
People's attention spans are getting shorter and shorter. Do you think about that when you think about a live setting? In terms of playing time or stage design?
I've noticed that about myself. In the early '90s, Guns N' Roses were on stage for close to four hours. In 1992, they played basically everything they ever put out, plus tons of cover songs. The important thing is to make the show as interesting as possible, and when I see Guns N' Roses today, three hours is a lot. They fire out hit after hit and despite everything you lose interest at some point. If I imagine I was an 18-year-old today, I wouldn't be able to follow the long set. People's attention span is generally going down. You have to make the dramaturgy of a concert more immediate and direct. Pull people into the story immediately. I think about that a lot. A few years ago we played the "An Evening With..." tour, where we played for a little over an hour, and then after a half-hour break we played for just under another hour. All together it was about 150 minutes and including the break it was just too much. Even loyal fans told me afterwards that we should keep it a bit tighter. Currently we are playing a best-of with a few new songs.
In an interview you praised Def Leppard's songwriting on the "Hysteria" album. On the one hand, because the songs have complex structures, on the other hand they are nevertheless catchy. Is that the right melange for a Ghost song and does that benefit the shortened attention span of people again? Easy listening with pretension?
Dangerous terrain! Easy-Listening is a very vague term, because for music collectors and music freaks it has completely negative connotations, but others can very well do something with it. The Ramones have an easy standard. Verse, chorus, verse, chorus. Def Leppard composed in a very unique way in the 80s. They made giant strides in songwriting and in a very short time. Everybody knows the chorus of "Pour Some Sugar On Me", but only the real fans remember the other parts of the song, two or three riffs before or after it. This richness and versatility have always impressed me. "Hysteria" is an incredibly complex album, but it sounds so light-footed.
There are very few people in the music business who have the work ethic that you do. You are involved and in charge of everything from the songs to the stage setting and outfit to the tour schedule. You make time for interviews every concert day, and during a US tour you were constantly answering questions about Europe for the new album "Impera". Does it get too much sometimes?
I do everything with deliberate intervals. When we played the big venues in the US, it was still deepest winter and the Covid restrictions were much harder. We had an agreement with the second headlining band Volbeat that we wouldn't meet if possible, and the crews were cut off from each other as well. You could only stay inside, rehearse and practice. It was a bit like being in prison and not always easy on the mental component. To get any sun at all, you had to stand by a window and consciously soak it up - if it was there at all, because on many days there were snowstorms and fog. After a few days without sun and with two hours of interviews each, I became increasingly angry. This kind of life made me very tired and I became restless and dissatisfied. Now in Europe everything is different. The restrictions are almost gone, summer is coming and everyone is happy to be back or to see a great show. The vibe is pleasant. It's not a big problem to give some interviews besides the show.
What sacrifices have you had to make for the career with Ghost, which has been on the rise for years but demands an immense amount of time and energy?
That's always a matter of perspective. I have a wife and two kids, and of course you make sacrifices when you don't see them for a long time. But we all also reap the benefits that Ghost brings. I've been home with my family for two years now and spent an extreme amount of time with them. In a week and a half, I'll be back home and then with the family for most of the summer. That leaves me with a lot more time with everyone than most other dads. Depending on whether you consider the glass half-full or half-empty, but I like to emphasize at home that overall I get to spend even more time with everyone than others are able to. One of my kids once said I was like a visitor. That startled me a little. It wasn't meant in a bad way, but that's how it stuck with the child.
When you're on tour, a lot of things get exaggerated. But if you're really good friends with someone and you haven't had anything to do with them for seven years, then when you see them it will work again immediately. I've known a lot of people for ages who are still extremely good friends, even if we only see each other every three years because we live far apart or because I'm on tour. There are also a few people who can't stand me anymore because of my success. There was never a fight, never a problem, but they just don't like me now. Suddenly you were never friends. That's a sacrifice I can't help at all. I was presented with a fait accompli. I guess that's part of growing up. Everyone does their thing, everyone has kids and families. Even when you're not on the road, friendships slip apart.
With Ghost you can always keep the naivety and innocence of childhood. Basically, you role-play and entertain people. That's not how adult insurance agents can live....
That's what makes an artist. You get carte blanche to release your most primal child into freedom over and over again. If you read through the rock and roll biographies, almost all the good and funny stories are of musicians acting like eleven year olds. In high school and maybe even in our 20s, most of us experienced the same thing. People ask what we want to do and what we want to do with our lives. We should stop dreaming and chasing after any idols, but rather live a solid life. I was extremely unsuccessful as a musician. I didn't earn one euro from music before my 29th birthday, which also stayed in my pocket. I will never forget these many years of failure.
Today, I am incited to take as little responsibility as possible, to just carry on and dream as much as possible. But it also takes the necessary work ethic we've been talking about. For years you work towards becoming professional and succeeding. You read and learn from the best, and of course you take the chance when it's offered to you. You do everything possible. But I'm not 20 anymore and I don't have a drinking problem. I'm in the middle of life and I don't take anything for granted. It may not go on forever, so you have to seize the momentum. If I had gotten this chance 20 years ago, I might have ruined it.
Of course, parents always worry about the future of their children. Would you advise your two children to follow their dreams, no matter how unrealistic they may seem?
I wouldn't advise them against it, at least. I would be very realistic about preparing them and encouraging them to pursue their dreams, but it's important to put a lot of energy and diligence into it. That goes for anything in life. If you want to be a good boxer, practice boxing. You can't become a professional soccer player without constantly and permanently working on yourself. I spend a lot of time dreaming, but I spend even more time just working on things. When I was my kids' age, at just under 14, I was already playing in local bands. What makes me and my kids different is the way we grew up. My parents didn't have a lot of money. We were always rich in culture, but there were no big jumps. My kids are growing up without financial worries, but that makes it all the more important for me to make them understand that money is great, but not a given. And that there are other things in life that count above all else. Fortunately, my kids are very smart and understand that. I don't want to end up with kids who sit back and have no drive in life because their dad brings home the money. The kids can do whatever they want, but I want them to do something about it and not sit around. A few wrong decisions and all the money is gone. You should never rely on that permanently.

4x2 heroes & villains (https://scriptline.livejournal.com/40160.html)
I like how the transcript calls him "creepy guy" even tho we get his name Watched this ep with my older bro. He has a lot to say about jewish comic artists & police interference.
*Deep male voice* wouldn't the creep be weirded out seeing someone dressed like that? *casually cuts the guy's hand off* *somehow able to cut him in half even tho that's not exactly possible* (actually I just wasted time researching & watching videos, idk if it is possible to cut someone in half if they are standing up, but u can cut em crosswise for sure.)
Why that knife rick? RC: I seem to remember asking you to make me an E.T. Halloween costume and you told me you didn't know how to sew. MR: Details. Besides, you were 32 at the time. The point is, proper wardrobe helps an actor connect to the words. (won't clip)
Poor rick, he just wants his daughter Lol I skipped my grad, ran & hid by climbing up a giant storage crate. So valid bestie (password sharing) MR: Lady Beckett, my lord. Richard, are you crying? RC: No, it's the onions. RC, next scene: Okay, I'll admit, it wasn't just the onions, not completely. I mean, she's gonna be gone in a few months. My little girl. (could clip but I'm low on time)
[They approach the body halves, covered in yellow plastic on either side of a pool of blood, feet sticking out.] Lanie <3
Ok so what kind of steel is it? A lot of japanese steel will actually break or chip if it hits bones, so it might not be best for chopping someone in half but it definitely broke off
Swords are so good so cool. JE: Tyler Ferris. He just got out of Sing Sing a year ago for sexual assault. KB: Okay, we got any witnesses? JE: Yeah. The girl he was in the middle of assaulting oof (I shouldn't find that funny, I know it is tragic & it really sucks, but I'm allowed to find humour in my pain & past.)
Poor gal still has blood all over her She's right lol Lol the "touche"
Love mrs ferris Don't get me wrong. I never expected my boy to end up in two hunks, but I always knew one day he'd end up there laying on a slab. KB: Do you know if he was involved in anything that might've gotten him killed? Ferris: Well, I certainly expect so. Is "ship coming in" a figure of speech?
KB: Ma'am, um, I'll need the names of all the enemies your son may have had. Ferris: You're gonna need a bigger pad.
As cops, Ryan is right. As people, Esposito is right. JE: Well, maybe a sword is a justice system. So true bestie.
KR: This other guy have a name? JE: Yeah. Tony Valtini. *KR perks up* This guy's got a record, too. KR: Damn right, he does!!! (won't clip) I remember Valtini from back in Narcotics. The guy is totally Mobbed up. You know what else, his family owns this meat packing plant out in Jersey. Tony's nickname: Tony the Butcher. JE: I bet he split a few sides of beef in his day. except you usually split the sides carefully, not with one big swing. ugh this is going to be a long episode if I keep bringing up culinary school.
TV: I am a legitimate businessman. Castle it's not funny. KB: You never reported an attack. TV: I don't like to be a burden on law enforcement.  *casually shucks his pants*
(just one buttock) JE: The sword of justice, bro. It's going to end up being esposito. (NEW FANFIC IDEA BABES) (ryan & his signature mug. it's the little things in the show) Mum & lil bro watch superhero shows so this episode was great with the two of them the hero (probs not super) looks definitely very male
KB: She didn't think that we'd believe her. And, quite frankly, she's right. probs delusional, probs right. Def has something going on castle. reminds me of the time the school got a mascot & then the two furries in the school accidentally outed themselves to each other bc they recognized the work. Castle writer moments, & he's not too far wrong red marune is so adorable I love him. isn't that redundant? LARRYBOY ryan *watching the caskett argument from the distance* cyclist *gives rick a delivery in the middle of the bullpen*
Ryan really is becoming castle jr, the nicknames on the wiki were right Just marvel? No dc no dark horse no anything else? I just listed the mainstream ones. Castle was quick putting together that vigilante board (need to pic this) JE: *sus* KR: *interested* JE: they're make believe KB: All driven by the death of a father or loved one Gates is kind of right But then Castle actually had a point Castle chill XD
RC: hardcore skjdflsdkfsljdk KB: Elektra RC: Ah. A ruthless assassin who hides from her emotions. KB: No, maybe it's because she's got badass ninja skills.
RC: Ah. Try billionaire industrialist Bruce Wayne, A.K.A. The Dark Knight. He's brooding, he's handsome, and he has all the coolest toys. You are the billionare non-cop crime solver, castle. (won't clip) (lol I had my french keyboard on so my apostrophe didn't show up at first)
I love mike hoover. Well castle wasn't the one who actually wrote the graphic novels, heh. kind of a chronically online nerd but I love him so so much. Love his hat too. Which one?
There is a T in vigilanTe (I used to say vigilanté but now I say vigilantie like everyone else) Nice, webcomics. Unless the hero is the writer babes
JE: Yeah, well, whoever he is, I can't connect him to any swords either. I pray we nail this dude before I have to call every store on that list. KR: I thought you were kind of rooting for this guy? JE: That's when he was Joe Citizen taking it to the bad guys. Now he's just some nimrod in a suit. (making espt call a bunch of stores) KR: Ah. You gotta give him props for spirit, though, right? I mean, haven't you ever wanted to be a superhero? Going out there, prowling the city, knocking some heads? JE: I do that now.  ew cops & their hero complexes. castle acab moments. (but still clipping)
did CSU not find it? Why is it perfectly timed that lone ranger aka LR is here rn? (looks like he could be a woman in theory) hella cool parkour tho Fun timing esposito calling right then. Has he been called espo yet? I don't much like the name. I feel like "sito" are the stressed syllables. (dw dm, he gets called Zito/'Sito later.) Also in her phone he's just esposito, no first name? Also why didn't she just decline the call? Espt talkin p slow today huh.
lmao I love this kid so much. He's so silly & adorable. superheroes have a billion different villains bc they had to start putting them in jail with cops & there was never allowed to be any tragedy or escapes where the villain got away. or so big bro says Chad: My father's in miami
Neither would lone vengence! Comic book characters aren't real, okay? I love chad he's so adorable & sweet I was about ready to hang up my tights for good "lone" Poor chad. There are def going to be A Ton of these characters. Remember Jumping Jack? & Mere do well?
GATES I told the Mayor we had our man. BECKETT Yeah well, you shouldn't have done that. GIRL YOU SAID THAT TO HER FACE IN THAT TONE
Not looking at the writer?
castle printed them out? Alexis is so pretty Did she ever get that motorcycle/scooter Mum got classes that would count to dad's drama minor or philosophy major that also counted to her education major or whatever mum's minor was, & she got classes that would count credits for her major+minor but would also count for her friend's major. But anyway ew math castle isn't wrong but like... AC: Why does everything I do have to make sense? Why can't I just do what I want once in awhile? That's all you ever do.
That's some intense yoga. Yk, yoga is not just workouts, not just funny positions & stretching, not just low impact training, yoga has a spiritual component to it & it makes me just a bit upset that ppl don't even know that let alone respect it.
FInally anagram I was right! trace the IP or smth?
wait the captions said faris this time. is it ferris or faris? the transcript has both lol THE WHAT NOW COMICS I was not expecting slutty schoolgirl comics to make an appearance here. Mild mannered is "out of the ordinary" for him lol. Mom: He was different. Wore a suit. Castle: As in, mask and cape? Mom: Jacket and tie
oh yeah a crime reporter? Definitely ryan sounds like castle rn i love it KB: *sips coffee* JE: *watching from the phone* RC: *raises eyebrow* RC: The student has become the master. Or at least, he tried. Actually, for a truly Castle-esque theory, it has to be fully thought through. (yk I might clip this) KB: Since when? KR: I did think it through! (mr detective man) *ryan & castle bouncing off each other now* (I said a bit ago that castito & ryckett were decent but now I'm looking at especkett & rystle & have been often this season during my normal watch through. idk anyone's ship names I'm making them up every time I say one & they often sound bad or end up different esp with esposito bc his name is twice as long as anyone else's)
man's a FULL ass hero tyvm! (tho only a half assed superhero bc superpowers don't exist) RC: Hmm. That is one block away from Comicadia. JE: Mm KR: Mm
I love the comic bro kid
VG: Really. Our killer's a writer? RC: Well, writers can be men of action. VG: I've yet to see that, Mr. Castle. VG: So, he's a journalist like Peter Parker? KB: Actually, Peter Parker was a news photographer. RC: Yeah, our guy's a little more like, uh, Clark Kent. And he's mild mannered, just like I…predicted. VG: *the look* I like how gates at least communicates with becks this time.
PW: That's just a--a character I create. It's not someone real.
I'm sure he can still write comics from prison... Left-handed Castle writer moments
Hand was before...
protecting someone obv RC: Because Paul is protecting the real killer. Paul is the writer, Lone Vengeance is the subject. That's their relationship. (to Beckett) It's you and me, all over again. But I'm Paul and you're Lone Vengeance. KB: Really, Castle? Is that how you see me? Like a sword wielding killer? (No, a crime fighting machine!) RC: Depends. Will you be scantily clad? KB: In your dreams. (probably will be tbh) JE: Not to rain on your comic book fantasy, (clipping) Esposito's shirt is so boring. Personally I would wear it but not to work. Collarless long sleeve, neutral colour
wall's obv a fake bro. remember the magician's lair? Oh wait it isn't even a secret room it's a thing of swords & that's it LV def looks like they don't need to be male rn & dun dun dun a woman & dun dun dun it's a cop
Ryan's shirt is ugly & he doesn't have a tie. Why?
KR: Can you believe it? Lone Vengeance, sword wielding killer, ends up being one of our own. JE: I don't know. Maybe she had her reasons. KR: Whoa. "Maybe she had her reasons"? What happened to" nimrod in a suit"? (after "woah nimrod? what happened to sword of justice?") JE: Well that's before I knew she was a cop. wow acab much
her being a cop is cool, she WOULD know how to clean the blood up, probably, AH: Someone killed my dad. Nothing'll ever be enough. But doing what I do makes me feel better. I respect it actually, I can see it, & the mirror with beckett is great
BECKETT You crossed the line, Ann. HASTINGS Don't pretend like we're so different. BECKETT Let's talk about Tyler Faris. HASTINGS Didn't you lose your mom? BECKETT We're not here to discuss that. HASTINGS Didn't you shoot the guy who killed her right here in this precinct? The bullet that you took, isn't that connected to her murder, too? Because that's the rumor. BECKETT I am not like you! I didn't chop a man in half! HASTINGS Neither did I.
AH: It wasn't from my suit. And the only reason I wanted it was to figure out who's behind this. she's a cop so it's cool she canvasses & learns & is friends with a crime beat fellow, I would watch a spinoff of those two. Or a mini series. I've said, castle could have used a few mini series episodes.
good ep bro but I was working or writing when castle went to turn the board over & beckett just Stopped Him like "no hun, we're not doing that rn" (or it was the ghost hunting the ring episode)
When did they grab the cousin's prints?
KB: Ann, you're a good cop. And you've got somebody who cares about you. Don't be so driven by the past that you throw away your future. Take care.
RC: Well, a murder solved and a notorious hoodlum off the streets for good. I call that a solid win. VG: I agree. All because of the hard work and dedication of this team. RC: Thank you, Captain. That means a lot. VG: Of police officers. (XD) Team of police officers, Mr. Castle. Detective, about Officer Hastings. She, uh, fled the alley when you ordered her to stop. Some reason you're not pressing any charges? KB: VG: I think that, given the number of folks wearing that costume, we can't prove that it was her in that alley. Or anywhere else, for that matter. (I thought she was very by-the-book) KB: Exactly, sir. VG: She's a promising officer. That said, it'd be bad for all of us if Lone Vengeance were to show up ever again. KB: I don't think that that will be a problem, sir.
RC: Either she just grew a heart… KB: Or she's worried about how it would look if the press found out that Lone Vengeance was one of our own.
RC: A writer and his muse, fighting crime. Just like us. *paul & ann kiss* Caskett: *awkward* (clipping)
RC: You know, even when you were a little girl, you were a serious person. I think I've just gotten used to you being sensible and mature. Even more than me sometimes. AC: Sometimes? RC: Point taken.
Emotional family moments, dad moments, advice, & so much cute stuff! love love love!
AC: I know. Especially if we move in together. RC:
Tumblr media
I don't think I have time for another one today. Sad.

Title: The Ghost Within You [Makes Me Want To Scream] ...i was influenced by the sad ghost porn alright? Needless to say you do not have to write sad ghost porn for this hahah also featuring THE DUMBASS GAYS OF COURSE
uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
here you go....
(thank you for the title i love it kasjddjs BUT ANGST)
The Ghost Within You [Makes Me Want To Scream]
Merlin sees him everywhere. In the kitchen, cooking him breakfast. In the bed, sleepily blinking at him, with nothing but love in his eyes. When he crosses the street, he’s there waving at him, a smile on his face. On the couch, in the shower, on the floor moaning for more.
Arthur is everywhere, and Merlin aches for him.
He’s getting him back whether it’s the last thing he does.
-
Arthur just wants to go back home. Home to Merlin.
or
Merlin will fistfight any Gods if necessary just to have Arthur back, but all he needs is to just not look back aka a Modern Orpheus/Eurydice story.

(Sorry, this turned more into a rant on (my view of) the vegan Community in general. It's not intended as an attack on you or how you run your blog, I just...got a bit swept away after reading a post of yours >.>) Hi just saw your post about Gary outing himself being a piece of shit once more and I'm a bit ??? Like he made a Video straight up saying he gives more of a shit about the mule given to freed slaves than the black people themselves in 2015! And sure you can't know/remember everything about a person but...like...between him, that vegan teacher and the whole...freelee/raw vegan "culty" shit, Time and Time again pretty obvious shitty people get propped up and seemingly excused with "Yeah, I wouldn't be that extreme, but they are vegan, they must be a Good Person. It's fine." No it's not! And it makes it so hard to find actually intersectional vegans cause...there's also so little cross promotion of smaller Voices. Like so much time is spend on arguing with meateaters while the people just showing how they live ethically and how you could do too easily go ignored. (And maybe thats just my Internet diet tbf). I mean if the only thing you need to have big parts of the vegan Community come to the defend or tactically ignore your shittyness is to be white, cis and vegan it's no wonder the fashists feel comfy here. Idk, I just..Everytime I find the spare Motivation to get involved in the "fight" so to say, most I see is infighting, excuse of shittyness, attacks on minorities, bad health advice and torturevids. With barely any tracable Change in the general public (or at least their view on us). Sorry this got a bit weird at the end. It's just frustrating to watch and I guess I needed to vent somewhere. Sorry it hit a post of yours ^^* Hope you have a nice day/night! -V
Never feel sorry for venting! And I mostly agree with you, I do think that vegan activism cannot just be showing like plant-based foods and stuff. And I do have a past post on effective activism here. But I def agree with your assessment on celeb culture within the vegan community (one reason I do my best to just ignore it and separate myself from all that influence/celeb stuff) Unfortunately the vegan community is like every other community where those with the loudest voices are often those who are white, cishet, able-bodied and middle/upper class. Just look at the feminist movement for example which has elevated folks like Germaine Greer, Gloria Steinem, Naomi Wolf, JK Rowling, Lena Dunham, RBG etc.
And I get how disheartening it can be when most vegans are from marginalised communities yet those with the loudest voices who get the most notoriety can be super problematic folks. But there are so many vegans putting in the hard work every single day to advocate for this social justice movement, to defend the victims of this injustice. Vegans of all backgrounds.
