just found out i got an A- on one of the most challenging classes i’ve ever had and so i’m just here,,,, trying not to cry because i really didn’t think i would make it.

#❣️ #literally was on the verge of tears a couple minutes ago but not anymore #this professor pushed me so hard because he saw so much potential in me and #he even took the time to schedule meetings with me to state how much potential i have and advise me on what still needs improvement #i never had a professor i wanted to make proud more than i did with him because he was always so passionate about the books we were reading #in class—and that spurred me on to talk even more and feel just as passionate because i love reading and i love the ideas i got to explore #in these discussions we had twice a week #sometimes though i just felt so tired....and i would have to force myself up and try to do my best but i never knew if it was enough #and i know for sure this isn’t a pity grade because yes covid has hit students way too hard for the past year and a half but #all that mattered to my professor was seeing us participate and make some sort of effort to stay engaged in the class #even if we didn’t know what we were talking about sometimes it was enough to give him an idea of how to guide us moving forward #and gradually just figure out on how we can improve by listening to his suggestions and taking him seriously—taking this class seriously #he’s the toughest grader i’ve ever met and very intimidating 😅 but when he sees you trying as hard as you can he’d never forget that #so yeah i’m just happy #personal
