For Danny, it’s about having someone who looks at a wrong and is hard set to set it right and not be stopped by red tape or officials in power who think politically, because there is no justice in politics. And that’s Steve. A SEAL who’s not afraid of any Cake Eater and is willing to play ball with any of them and have enough pull to make those in power play the game by his rules. Rules Danny knows will work out in the end...he just needs a bit of help and someone to keep him grounded. 

For Steve, it’s about someone seeing him. First and foremost...him, Steve! Not just the medals and rank. After years of being behind a surname and then his rank and career, just being Steve never felt like enough(it’s enough for Danny). But his surname’s legacy and trying to be enough for that legacy pushed him to an extreme...one he can’t undo or take back. It’s great and grand but a lot. Not many can handle him in more than low doses and sparingly. Danny doesn’t need to be shielded of all that he is and can be. Danny doesn’t wash his hands of him(even if he threatened so, it’s all bark no bite), Danny chased him and brought him back! Back home, back from the solitude and loneliness, back to a world to live in and not just fight for. 

Danny’s sense of order balances out Steve’s chaos, and Steve’s chaos brings purpose to Danny’s order. (that probably didn’t make sense I just wanted to sound poetic xD)

Also another thing now that I'm thinking about it after finishing base hw again last night. When the wol fought king thordan they fought 12 people including the king at once. That's a bakers dozen of people juiced up on primal power. They weren't fighting just one little primal but THIRTEEN at once. No wonder thordan was terrified ._.
