my nausicaä doll is finally complete! she has a cloth body and paper clay for head hands and feet (and the rifle as well). this project took me a long time and im super happy with how she turned out!

My birthday party happened, and my roommate @unfortunategothamite and I accidentally brought DP x DC to life. Costume party instructions were “dress up as a character from a thing that the birthday boy likes.” So my roommate was Young Justice Robin, and I was Danny Phantom.

Hoping to actually make this a full cosplay sometime soon. It took me two showers to get the silver spray paint out of my hair…

Today’s progress. Finished the torso base and tail! Going to need to do some surfacing detailing to cover up the color drift I didn’t account for, but I was planning on doing detail in those spots anyway. Next step is the head and finishing up the robe.

The tail took some trial and error, but I ultimately got the result I wanted with short rows and some creative decreases 🤣

His horns are going to take some trial and error as well, and possibly his ears too; I want them to be a little skinnier and set at a different angle than Barcus’s ears.

goddamn does create mod burn through your chromatic iron FAST. it’s not too hard on larimar or steel compared to some things and luckily a full-sized windmill produces so much kinetic power that I’m pretty sure my cobble/gravel/sand farm and tree farm (the things I most wanted create for) can both just go on that windmill and I won’t have to spend pogs on EVEN MORE power. but the fact any casings cost a full block of chromatic iron, and andesite alloy costs chromatic iron, and making a shaft costs additional chromatic iron, and… man I’m glad that create can also double your ore output lol
