I’m taking it slow for my birthday month, and catching up on my current requests so that I won’t have so many multi-chaptered stories going at once.

(Also, I’m sorry my writing has been slower than usual over the last 2 weeks due to health stuff. But I’m feeling better, and got a bunch of writing done yesterday and today 😊✨)

Since most requests turn into longer stories, I’m going to complete the ones I have, and I won’t be opening up requests again until I get back to Numbers Game.

someone probably said this already but in spiderverse i think it's interesting how when pavitr was first introduced everyone thought something bad was gonna happen to him bc of how confident and optimistic he was. and then in the actual movie we see that something bad was supposed to happen to him (police chief dying!) but it doesn't! miles stops it! and miguel berates miles for this, says it's going to cause the universe to collapse or whatever.

there's this idea that tragedy is inherent to spidermans growth, and while it's true that some spiderpeople learn important lessons through loss, no one stops to ask, is it really necessary? yeah, maybe the chief was supposed to die. but why does spiderman have to be formed through tragedy? why do we (as heroes) have to let people die? pavitr didn't lose anyone, and he's still a good spiderman! maybe, if he doesn't suffer, he'll end up better off for it!

so while miguel is arguing for all this big picture stuff about saving the multiverse he's lost sight of what it really means to be a spiderman, he's not looking out for the real individual people. yeah it's just one person who would die, but that one person means something to someone. shrugging and saying "stuff just sucks sometimes, we can't do anything about it" is the opposite of what superheroes do. pretty obviously, miles arc is also a reflection of the struggles people face in real life, working within unequal systems, where it's easy to shrug and say "that's just the way it is" and not ask "but why does it need be this way? can't we do something about it?"

miguel is arguing that you can't have your cake and eat it too. presumably, miles and co. are going to find a way to get around that and change things for the better (and maybe that's why miles has that line about two cakes in the advisors office!)

It is okay to need pain medication to function with your chronic pain. It is okay. I promise. I know everywhere you turn pain medication is demonized. I know that it is scary to talk about. It is okay to be grateful that you have access to pain medication. Pain meds have greatly improved my quality of life and I wouldn't be able to live my life outside of my bed without them. And that's okay!!!

I just want to say thank you to Stays on here. I know I can be awkward and haven’t really connected with anyone, that’s on me.

But, for the most part, Stays on here have been kind to me, a couple have reached out and said hi, you guys answer my questions more often than not, and that’s more than I can get on Twitter.

I’m not trying to pit Stay against Stay, I think the twitter algorithm is just stupid. But it makes me feel so isolated on there. It’s so hard to get any kind of response from anyone.

But Stays on here are usually so great about trying to help me out, more often than not, and I’m very thankful for that. It really means a lot to me.

The way Gortash beams when he learns we live, his expression when it's DUrge he sees (opposed to Tav) at the coronation, calling us nearest and dearest and after a successful insight check it's clear he's genuine about being our equal in power. An act that contradicts his conduct of tyranny/domination as a Baneite.

Gortash's name being "Sickenly familiar" when we first hear it, all while DUrge cannot recall anything else, even their own name. But Gortash, his name they remember.

Whether they were acted upon or not there's no convincing me there weren't romantic feelings between the chosen of Bhaal and Bane.

Russell T. Davies: The look of him is very precise, it's very Doctor-y but new. It's not the old look reproduced. It's a suit. It's a tight suit, but it's a different pattern. He insisted on doing that top button up and I don't know why he did that. I don't know what he was thinking but I love it. Moments like that you trust your lead actor. We all had input into it, we all have a say, but at the same time, we actually kind of sat back and went, "You're the man"
