People like to joke about how all of the Beatles and other retro famous men were ugly and how they can't believe girls used to fawn over them but have we considered that pop culture only allowing supernaturally (conventionally) attractive people to be considered sex symbols is a very bad thing actually?

everyday i am plagued by being ugly......

#or maybe more appropriately i am plagued by the importance everyone on earth places on how quote unquote ugly other ppl are #literally if you arent attractive you might as well die. literally #trying to find ppl who will not treat you worse for looking less-than-perfect is such a fruitless effort #it is also hard for me bc i literally do not even think abt ppls appearance unless there is something jarring #like rly bright hair or if they are exceptionally beautiful or osmething #but i dont ever look at ppl and think 'they would look better if blahblahblah' #but its like everyone else on earth does.. it really is.. it really seriously is #the amount of times i have been told 'youd be so pretty if you like... tried' #like word for word ive heard that so many times from different ppl #like why should i have to try. some people never have to try in their lives #and all the ppl who have given me skincare advice like ok dude i literally know everything youre telling me rn. ive tried it. i know and idc #has it ever occured to anyone that maybe i dont want clear skin.. like maybe i just want to be ok with being the way i am.. #and why do other ppl care abt how ppl look anyway.. like how does it affect you in any conceivable way.. it doesnt #and all the times my dad literally pinned me against a wall and stuck needles into my literal actual face #like how does me having clear skin affect him in any way........ i do not get it #like i actually cant comprehend it or grasp it at all. im not on a high horse #i feel like im missing some fundamental thing by not having conniptions over other ppls 'flaws' #like sometimes i will watch someone show someone else a pic of someone on their phone #and whoever theyre showing will immediately comment on how attractive the person is #like thats the first thing that crosses your mind??? is there something legitimately wrong w me??
