A Night to Remember
Hong Seunghan x Male reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
cw: top needy seunghan, stripper reader, idol au, frottage, protected sex, cum eating, nipple play, fingering.
an: idk if it's bad timing to post this sawrry, it was already scheduled.
seunghan was tired, he was thankful he debuted in such an amazing group but the though schedules, rehearsals, the recording songs process, learning choreography and fansigns have drained his energy. he was walking down the street at night when he saw a neon sign that caught his attention “interesting..” he muttered and entered the place.
it was a pretty place, with good lighting, velvet curtains, relaxing music and a bar with some curious liquors and cocktails. “hello how can i help you” a masculine voice echoed in seunghan's ears, he turned out and met the man “umm.. sorry i.. i was just walking and saw the neon sign. it made me curious so i entered the place” he says bluntly.
“oh ok i understand” the man with a butler like suit responds “in this place we offer a space so that men who are tired of everyday life can relax, either drinking their favorite umm drink” he laughs “while the music at a low volume calms them down. also if they want something more entertaining and spicy there is a special striptease service, this can be private or public as the client prefers” he spoke clasping his hands “so what do you want sir?”.
“i think i'm gonna order a drink and a private striptease show please” seunghan answered pulling out his wallet to pay. “over here” the butler hands him the drink and signals a room for him to enter “our stripper will be coming here soon, wait for him please”.
the liquid in his glass was already about to run out when the door opened, and there appeared a boy in a lustful devil costume. he had a collar from which a red tie hung, bracelets on her arms and a black thong that lefts nothing to the imagination, he also has a big spear on his hand.
“who's this naughty man waiting to be punished” cockily says the guy provoking a smirk to appear on seunghan's face, already loving the show.
y/n started doing a lap dance on seunghan, letting him touch every part of his body, groping his ass, playing with his nipples. every touch form seunghan leaving a burning sensation on y/n's skin. the man taking control of the situation unbuttoned the collar leaving only the tie on the dancer's neck and moving the thong slightly to the sight he toyed with y/n's hole noticing there's a plug on it “damn i wonder who is the naughty one here” he expressed.
a path of kisses that started from y/n's chest ended on his mouth with a desperate kiss between the two of them, their tongues fighting for dominance and exploring each other's mouths. seunghan pulled out the plug and started to finger the rim, feeling how warm it was, he then unzipped his pants pulling out his thick meat, slapping it against the hole. “so desperate for me” y/n looked down on seunghan kissing and sucking his nipples “i have a lot of accumulated stress that i need to release” he snickered.
y/n's hand reaches for the nearest drawer looking for a condom “here big boy” y/n hands the latex object to the top who quickly rips the pack and rolls it down his shaft.
y/n sank down the other's cock enjoying every inch of pleasure the top gave him. they stay still hugging between them while waiting for y/n to adjust to seunghan's size. then y/n's hips started with the up and down motion, squeezing that juicy throbbing cock “shit” sighed the guy “i really needed this. thank you so much for helping me”. “you're welcome” the stripper says, kissing him seconds later.
seunghan thrusts were sloppy, he was just focused on feel all the pleasure he could, forgetting about everything and just living the present “such a good stress reliever” he blurted out, teeth biting y/n's nipples. the other was a moaning blushing mess, it's true that this was his work but something with seunghan just make it somewhat more special, like he's being gentle but it produces the same pleasure or even much more than those who fuck y/n rough. “yes right there baby, keep fucking that spot”..
y/n started playing with seunghan's chest, toying with his nipples, feeling every crevice from his abs. “are you gonna cum handsome” the stripper asked and the other male just nodded and went straight to kiss him. seunghan locked his arms around y/n accelerating his thrust wanting to release all the tension that has been built during the whole session. y/n can feel the cock throbbing inside him, pumping all the sperm inside the condom but still y/n could feel the warm sensation of the liquid.
when seunghan pulled out the condom was bulging with a ton of semen “this cannot be wasted” talked y/n, removing the condom from seunghan's shaft and then slipping the content directly into his mouth and swallowing it with some of it dripping down his mouth and sweaty chest “yummy” smirked the stripper while a speechless seunghan looked at him “hold on, you haven't cum yet” the top said, “it's ok, as long as you are satisfied” y/n just smiled.
“no come here” seunghan forces y/n to straddle him joining both cocks and started to rub them both with his big hands “let me give you back some of the pleasure you gave me” he whispered, moving his hands up and down. both cocks came at the same time looking like a fountain of sperm flowing down the shafts and seunghan's hands, both males moaned in unison riding their highs while catching their breath. y/n grabbed seunghan's hands and lick them clean. sharing a last kiss y/n waves a goodbye and leave the room.
y/n was already leaving work and was about to start walking towards his home when a “hey” made him stop, he turned around and found himself face to face with seunghan again. “oh hey” a flustered y/n scratched his neck “what are you doing here?” he questioned. “i was waiting for you to come out and i.. i just wanted to know if you're free tomorrow. i.. i want to invite you to a night at the amusement park” he was trying to hide his flustered state but failed miserably.
on the other hand y/n was just as flustered as him “umm.. haha sure, here” he handed his phone to seunghan so he could save his number there “see you tomorrow i guess” y/n smiled, making seunghan smile too.

Animation (specifically 2D animation) is my preferred TV/film medium. A piece of live-action has to go above and beyond to get over my personal bias of, "most things would be better if they were animated," but it's taken me a long time to figure out what, exactly, makes a piece of live-action really do it for me.
I think what it really comes down to, for me, is the little details. If your live-action doesn't have some level of nuanced physical acting, intense detailing in costuming and set design, a strong sense of visual storytelling, or kickass practical effects, I'm pretty much always going to come away thinking, "I'd like it better as a cartoon."
I think some of this is due to my issues with face blindness--I need characters to have distinct silhouette and costuming, or they will all blur together in my head. Animation tends to stress the importance of silhouette, so I have an easier time telling everyone apart and following who's who. That's not to say that this problem doesn't happen in animation, or that it always happens in live action, but I do think it contributes to my personal preferences.
Anyway, just for fun, a random shortlist of some live-action that I think uses its medium well:
Child's Play/Chucky. Half the appeal of Chucky (IMHO) is the incredible showcase of practical effects and animatronics. Each incarnation of the Chucky doll incorporates incredible advances in animatronic and puppeteering technology. I have on multiple occasions compared the Chucky puppeteer team to Muppet performers. That shit is its own art form, and it's incredible. The current Chucky show makes some use of CGI, but it's all to enhance the practical effects, and the puppeteers are all given the spotlight in the show's credits. I love that.
Killjoys. The incredible nuance to the actors' body and facial acting is mind-blowing. The set design and costuming are gorgeous, and there's a lot of very good detail worked into the visual space that would be hard to animate. They use their CGI well when they do use it, but a significant amount of the show seems to be practical effects and props. Additionally, Hannah John-Kamen's ability to flawlessly portray multiple characters is so good it's uncanny and makes you forget they're literally being played by the same woman. She changes her entire body language, and it's phenomenal.
Jordan Peele's entire body of horror. His films pack in so much symbolism and subtlety that I could probably watch them all a million times and still find new details. The nuance in the acting, the sheer detail packed into the costuming and set design, the use of color...god. It's unreal.
Crimson Peak, because the set design for that film...holy fuck. The costuming and set design in that film are pure gold. The acting is also phenomenal, but I could probably talk about the set design for hours. The house is a character in its own right.
Galavant and Our Flag Means Death, both for the same reason: both shows feel like I'm hanging out at a ren faire being goofy with my friends. They feel like I'm watching a LARP. They feel like they could easily exist in the same setting as Muppet Treasure Island, and at any second Kermit is going to show up and start singing, and it wouldn't be out of place at all. I think I'd also include Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves in this category, along with The Princess Bride and Labyrinth--all of which also include kickass practical effects, choreography, and costuming.
This isn't some sort of objective truth or anything. I just like that I've finally been able to nail down some reasons why I prefer animation, beyond just, "idk, cartoons are fun."

calum hood x famous!reader
summary: is calum's first show as your boyfriend and boy, he's nervous.
warnings: bad language maybe, mentions of past relationships, idk just fluff really. (English is not my first language so there may be some grammatical errors, sorry!)
word count: 1.4k
note: this one is completely inspired by this tiktok, i love sabrina carpenter and this song has been haunting me for the past weeks, so here it goes! hope you guys like it!!
Tumblr media
Calum was excited.
Today would be the first show he would officially go to as your boyfriend.
And the anxiety was eating him up.
Calum had already been to your concerts, many of them, in fact.
However, this would be the first concert he would go to where he was no longer your friend, and everyone knew it (well, almost everyone). You had started a new tour two months ago and this is the first time he was available to go.
He had felt so guilty for not going sooner, but now that he had the chance, he would go to as many of your concerts as possible.
He wasn't going to lie, he was a little afraid of being seen by the crowd. Before, all of your concerts that he went to, he attended with his bandmates, because that's what all of you were: friends.
But now... he was alone waiting for you to come on stage, and he couldn't be more anxious. He feared that maybe people would realize what was happening. You guys hadn't talked about releasing your relationship publicly yet.
He was so nervous for some reason. He felt that his presence was different now that you were officially together. Maybe him being there was different for you now? Because it was definitely different for him. He was the lead singer's boyfriend, you know.
Calum watched the crowd get excited for you coming out on stage. People dressed in colorful and happy costumes.
While he was waiting for you to come out, he was thinking about how you might be. You and Calum had met briefly for thirty minutes before you had to go get ready for the show. You looked happy, incredibly happy and radiant. You had this new aura around you and you looked so free and relaxed.
He wondered if you looked so happy because he was there. But then he thought that was something incredible selfish to think about.
If he only knew that he was right.
And suddenly, everything stopped. The lights went out and the show began.
Everything was fantastic. You were full of energy, you sang the songs, there were new choreographies and new sets.
God, to say Calum was proud was an understatement. You were absolutely shining. He had never seen you like this on stage, it was obvious that this was your element.
You had new songs to sing with a recently released album and the fans were going crazy. Him especially.
And then the melody of one of your new singles started playing and Calum felt like he was going to faint. He absolutely loved this song.
And "Feather" began.
You could see Calum from upstage. And you loved the view, he looked so handsome. He was just such a sweetheart, he looked so cute singing and dancing to your songs and recording you as if the internet wasn't already full of videos of you.
"Oh, it's like that, I'm your dream come true..." And you winked at your boyfriend. Because even though this song wasn't about him, Calum has told you on multiple occasions how you were a dream to him and that he couldn't believe you guys were together. Thus, you began to sing the lyrics of the song while taking small sensual steps to the rhythm of the music.
You were singing, jumping and dancing. Calum would say you were modeling too, because that walk. Damn, it drove him crazy. And you knew it, you had made sure today to make your walk even more exaggerated knowing that Calum would be at the show today.
Calum was fascinated by this song, since he was one of the few people who knows about the background of it.
Yours and Calum's relationship was something new. You guys were still making presentations at family dinners. However, you had been in each other's lives for a minute now. You have known each other for quite some time and had seen people come and go from your lives. And Calum hated your ex (this particular song was about him). Your ex was just so boring. Always controlling and annoying, Calum genuinely doesn't understand how you were with that guy for so long, he was so... meh.
And Calum saw you. He watched you change for this guy and adapt to what he liked, always leaving you waiting until the last moment to do anything, leaving you hanging in the anxiety of not knowing what's going to happen. Because despite being the most boring and predictable guy in the world, he managed to annoy you and give you a hard time, all the time.
So he was happy, Calum was radiating happiness when he found out that you had finally broken up with the guy. He was happy not only because you had finally gotten rid of something bad, but it also meant that you were finally single. Again. And Calum wasn't going to waste any time.
He had liked you for a while but things between you had never happened. But now that he had you all to himself... Oh, Calum is going to make sure it's for as long as possible.
Seeing you here so happy and being yourself again is something he really appreciates. Especially after seeing you so lost for someone who wasn't worth it.
And finally comes his favorite part of the song.
You approached the center of the stage, this way all the cameras captured you perfectly. "Well I, slam the door!" You kicked hard into the air when there was a drumbeat and tossed your hair slightly to the side. "I hit ignore!" You pulled your torso forward, exposing your butt a little. Jeez, Calum was going crazy, he hadn't seen this part of the show until now. "I'm saying, no, no, no, no more!" You sang a high note as you stood up straight again. "I got you blocked, excited to never talk, I..." You take a few steps forward while shaking your head. You turned around and started walking again, but then you looked back and sang. "I'm so sorry for your loss!" You laughed as you touched your hair flirtatiously and then continued walking as you continued with the chorus of the song.
Holy shit.
That's probably the hottest thing Calum has ever seen.
He couldn't believe that was his fucking girlfriend. Like what?
When the show ended and Calum was going backstage to see you, he swore he could die of tenderness when he saw and heard that the first thing you did when you got off the stage was ask for him.
The second you saw him, you smiled and ran over to him, excited to know what he thought about the show. "And?! Did you liked it?!" The adrenaline was still running through your veins, the fans could still be heard in the venue.
His hands naturally slid to your waist as he looked at you with hearts in his eyes. "I loved it. You absolutely glowed." Calum kissed you on the cheek. "I'm so, so proud of you. You really outdid yourself."
"What was your favorite song?"
Calum raised an eyebrow and held back a laugh. "Do you really have to ask?" Please, as if you didn't know the answer. Calum wasn't particularly quiet about his favorite song and how much he liked it.
You laughed as you threw your head back slightly. Your hands still resting on his big tattooed biceps, which were visible due to the black short-sleeved t-shirt that the boy was wearing. You'd be lying if you said you weren't checking him out from above the stage.
"You were seriously amazing." Calum said now in a more serious tone, as if to let you know that he meant it. "I never saw you so comfortable in a stage and it was definitely the most wonderful thing to watch." He at the same time checks your outfit closely for the first time, loving all the details. The colored crystals on your bodysuit shine more than ever and not to mention the figure that the suit made you look like. Please, this was Calum's paradise.
"I'm really happy you liked it." You said as you caressed her cheek.
"I'm even happier that I got to see it." He assured you as you began to walk together towards your dressing room so you could change and go back to the hotel to have a well-deserved night together telling everything you had missed about each other's lives these past few days. You couldn't stop talking about today's crowd and how incredible they were.
"What would you like for dinner?" You asked. "We can dress nice and go to a restaurant if you want." You smiled at the proposal you had made, you really wanted to finally be able to go out with your boyfriend.
"Of course, baby. That sounds perfect." Calum answered instantly without even thinking as he caressed your hand (which was intertwined with his). You felt your stomach twist at the nickname, you loved it.
"I've been dying to see you this whole week, I swear." Calum laughed at your confession.
"I'm always dying to see you." He smiled at you completely in love when he saw that you blushed and sighed, he really couldn't believe how much he loved you.
But, you didn't have to know that yet, anyway.

initial thoughts after finishing the first three episodes of the atla netflix adaptation bc I have thoughts in my brain (contrains spoiler)
first, things I really liked and appreciated so far:
KYOSHI BC HOLY SHIT
the cgi looks GOOD, the animals actually look like they belong in this world
the bending looks insane (it actually has impact other than.. yk)
combat choreography and costume design is also a 10/10
idk a lot about score but I like what I hear lol
story progression is also interesting, of course they had to combine 2-3 episodes worth of information to fit their format and I feel like they put a lot of thought into that (it's more of a 50/50 tho)
starting the show with the air normad genocide was cruel but it really set the mood (I may have cried over that one aang and gyatso scene)
the actors actually look like the kids they are portraying
got nothing to complain about zuko, iroh, suki, zhao, etc.
I actually think that they portrayed zuko very well with him being very grumpy and goal driven but also has his awkward moments
I still have hope that they bring out irohs personality more
next, the bad and the ugly oof:
line delivery and interaction between the main characters feel a little stiff and awkward (might get better idk but where is the chemistry??)
I'm sorry but they sucked the life out of katara. If I didn't know the original character, I would find her really boring?? No hate to the actress tho, the lines she was given are just not it imo she did what she could with what she had
NO relationship building between katara and aang?? (they basically cut every important scene of their relationship out? like her being the one who breaks aang out of the ice, her being the first person he sees, her being the one calming him down after he goes into avatar mode at the southern air temple and probably more that I missed) > kind of makes me think that they're actually gonna go for zutara and idk what to feel (we all saw that scarf scene)
still don't know how to feel about them introducing azula, ty lee and mai so early? why introduce them so early when you already have to cut so much from the original to fit the 8 episode format? (their actresses slayed tho)
pacing lacks now and again and makes the flow a bit awkward (probably bc of how compressed it is)
I feel like the adaptation relies on the knowledge of their viewers who know the original a lot, especially when it comes to the main characters bc if this was my first introduction to atla I wouldn't feel connected to any of these characters YET
mind you, I still have 5 more episodes to watch so maybe this will turn around idk
I'd give it a 6,5/10 SO FAR but only bc I'm SO attached to the original so therefore I'm probably not as open minded as someone who hasn't watched the show 17 times
the original is a near perfect show and I think everyone knew, that there was nothing that the adaptation could do much better but you can still tell, that the people behind the scenes have a real passion for the original so I still appreciate everything that turns out better than the movie that shall not be named

Little rant here so please bear with me. And please read till the end thank youuu
I saw the new high school script for Ride the Cyclone and I have some... things to say about it..
•On the plus side, it's got that cheesy high-school play humor now so that's fun. And some of the replacements are actually really hilarious, like Jane's replacement joke for the "Fornication Under Consent of the King." I also kinda like the chop off for WTWN. I mean, I could go either way tbh.
•However, WHAT DID THEY DO TO NOEL? Seriously! They made his dream be a carny instead of a hooker?! Like, I get it, you can't have a high school boy walking around wanting to be a whore, but c'mon, a carny? Considering the play takes place post-accident at a fair, the carnival theme feels repetitive (although, the "My life's one never-ending carnival" line now makes sense, but still-). And though I mentioned Jane's joke being changed was funny, I still don't like it that much (since it is connected to Noel's Lament).
And I have mixed feelings on Noel's new catchphrase. It's definitely hilarious in the way it kinda makes you feel bad, but still, the original is better.
•Depending on the school, most of Ride the Cyclone could arguably be kept. The main thing people have to realize is that visuals and/or choreography play a lot in the inappropriate parts of Rtc. Like in SABM, you have to change a few lyrics and the choreo for the Ricky-changing scene and BAM! You've got a high-school friendly jam. Same thing for Noel's Lament. Change "hooker" to "worker" and a few other things and it should work.
•What I'm most confused about is why they kept Jane Doe's original catchphrase. She says the term "make love," so that kinda leaves the door open for inappropriate jokes to be made. Like, you could make the Monique costume a tad more modest, change the explicit lyrics and let the visuals give a nudge at what's really happening.
•And finally hot take but, in general, HIGHSCHOOLS SHOULD NOT BE DOING RIDE THE CYCLONE! The story is written the way it was FOR. A. REASON. 👏👏 It's a dark and inappropriate show for. a. reason.👏👏 Yall remember how I mentioned that part of WTWN has been removed? Well, no one's sure why but it's believed that it's because the vocals are too much for highschoolers.
.... did you hear that? Ocean's vocals are too much for highschoolers..
HELLO?! WHAT ABOUT JANE FREAKIN DOE?!
-------------------------------------------------------
•Idk, I think I'm just really irritated mainly about Noel's Lament since it's so, so iconic. We all love the tragedy of it and that's what Noel wants to be! Tragic. I can only imagine they made it more of a "You feel bad for the kid" tragic and not "holy shit, this kid wants to live this kind of life?" tragic.
Clearly, Noel is my favorite character and the fact he was BUTCHERED so horribly makes my blood boil💀
Anywho, feel free to agree with me or not but I've said what I said.
(Ps. Ricky is still able-bodied....)

Decided to rewatch NATLA to properly form my own takes that’s been running through my mind: (I’ll have both things that I like and dislike.) Part 1
SPOILERS!
I like it like a friend from a hundred years ago:
First and foremost, NATLA predominantly consists of Asian American Pacific Islanders. Good for them for creating a version that is more in their lens and creativity.
The Bendiiing. All of the elements, except for Earth, are 10/10. I really want it to be more solid, especially on AangvsBumi. It’s not that bad though, so much better than…well u know. I’ll give it an 8/10.
I rewatched it with a Filipino dub and it’s good, 9/10. Aang VO was convincing as a kid, so either they’re a great actor or a great kid actor. The jokes (Sokka’s sarcasm) hits better on my mother tongue
"You're my friend. You will always be my friend.”
Avatar state under the ocean
The costume. The only one that I do agree with everyone else that lacks is Zuko’s scar. They should’ve put prosthetics on the eyebrow.
Zuko’s hair? Hello? They did a great job. Even though my sister and I sing Ariana Grande song whenever we see them swaying. It’s an integral part of his story, and I loved that they keep it. There’s an East Asian culture that indicates that kind of haircut as a punishment. I remember my History teacher taught me this in eighth grade but I forgot which it was, my bad. And the actor’s such a champ for having that hair IRL.
My favorite actor performances: Gordon (Aang) superb acting. Liz (Azula). Utkarsh (Bumi). Justin Wong (Chong/SecretTunnelguy) sounds exactly like the character. Made up for my delusional expectation that Dee Bradley Baker would be in this. Ken Leung (Zhao) pisses me off so much, and that means he’s doing a great job. Dallas (Zuko) & Iroh (Paul). DDK's(Ozai) a natural idk if that's acting /j
Was it established in the OG that Katara's intro is a folklore/legend? Because yeah, I don’t mind that it is considered that way in this version.
AAAAA, the Lieutenant Jee younger casting makes so much sense now! The 41st division is chef kiss. Zuko cryiiiing when he was being banished!? Dallas Lui ate!
THE HYBRID ANIMALS LOOOK SO GOOD. The ostrich horse blended well with whoever rides them. It doesn’t look CGI to me. MOMO HIS MOMONESS, MOMO OF THE MOMO DYNASTY
Any Zuko fight choreography (MY FAVORITE CHOREO DALLAS LOOKS FIIIRE). And Aang’s too (Oh hey).
Aang the Hype Man
The fallen Fire Nation ship behind Zukka fighting. (It’s in my notes idk why but I guess background details are a win)
Aang and Iroh's interactions
NATLA Zuko (I don’t think there’s much of a difference though with the OG lol, and it’s probably because the NATLA directors/producers like Zuko)
Camera direction
The Found Family Hug™, what Netflix can do well.
End scene of Episode 1, is very cinematic. I can’t believe TV shows have come this far. I hope employees are paid well.
The End Theme remains the saaame, and is added with cinematic effects as well.
The folly/sound effect at the start of Episode 2. Why is this the only episode with that flair?
Creating a grave for Gyatso.
How Ozai’s forced unity/being totalitarian is represented. Reminds me so much of our own government, it amuses me. I know it’s not directly referencing that though. It’s good that they show it early on I guess. With the Fire Nation culty greeting as well.
On a lighter note: THE AIR SPHERE/BALL whatevah, yes! More of this goofiness. How about instead of being inspired by GOT, NATLA should be inspired by Stranger Things in terms of fantasy + childhood simplicity balanced by this trauma they're going through. (Well, ST lacks worldbuilding cause it’s just normal Earth but anyway)
Kyoshi Takeoveeer. I hope Roku gets more screen time someday though. Pls pls pls.
They incorporated the OG character theme songs! Of course! The ones I noticed right away are the FireNation Siblings’. So if you watched OG Avatar and you watched the scene where a mysterious girl joins the infiltration of the FN Royal Palace, you’ll know who she is.
Sorry not sorry, Daddy Dae Kim is daddying. (Although he did catch me off guard in Zuko’s Agni Kai lmao.) The plot.
The Aang VS Zuko fight! A reference to the Fortune Teller fight. The team did so well.
Zuko The Master of Disguise Major In Stealing Clothes. Full-time Avatar researcher.
A fourth wall foreshadows Bumi’s OOC for this version. Jet’s "he’s not like he used to be" in line. I mean they did warn us.
Another 4th wall is the line “Things shouldn’t be here” referring to the prototype Fire Nation balloon.
Nice animation with the retelling of Two Lovers legend.
Lu Ten Funeral scene ate. That single teaaaar. I recommend everyone who loves the animation to watch this scene. To feel something idk AHAHAHAH.
The actors were convincing when interacting with CGI animals. Specifically the badger moles.
ZUKO AND IROH SCENES!
CGI’s great did not waste any money
In Katara’s flashback. She experienced this in her present form. And when she was so scared to go to the place where her mom was killed, she immediately changed back to her young self. Like, I wanted that so bad when I was watching the flashback. I thought, this shouldn’t be the present-day Katara. There should be a moment when she switches back to young again. And they did.
Big Iroh moment that makes you cry as an adult when Gyatso was reassuring Aang that the genoc*de wasn’t his fault, and shouldn’t blame himself. Ahh, and the subtle sadness as they say goodbye.
Random eye drawing from Zuko. He’s an artist AHAHAHAH. Okay, I forgot which episode. Sincerely, unreliable narrator.
Showing Zuko's scar when Aang says "Do you even know that lives are at stake".
Basically every scene/plot they 1 by 1 copy from the show. Did not disappoint (well, maybe because OG showrunners were there). Blue Spirit, Siege of the North.
Zuko’s room. I love me some character bedrooms. He’s like a TV Sitcom character for that.
Gaang teamwork scenes! It works and it's dynamic.
Hahn as an honorable man? Yes. I don’t like love triangles so much. I like me some camaraderie. And Ian (Sokka) acted well for feeling included and seen as Hahn recognized his value as warrior/intel.
Zutara fight scene.
Two points that I don’t know if I like but it makes me realize some stuff:
Meek Katara. I know there are specific plot points that Feisty Katara is needed. But she was always nurturing, so I think it makes sense she’s…meek? That Jet scene explains it. Maybe because I relate to her being a log AHAHAHAH. But yeah, uh, I do not, ironically, have strong feelings against that water down.
Angry Bumi. IDK how to feel about him tbh. I always think Bumi is…harsh like that. Almost scary. But yeah, he never blames Aang. Still, it doesn’t feel out of place here. He will return anyway so he’s not this one-dimensional character that is only angry at his friend (hopefully). I never thought of how Bumi would actually feel. And that he will be upset, and now it’s sad because that’s like your friend when you were twelve years old and you wonder where he’s been all this time, and if he’s alive. And..war..never made it any better to process that emotion. So, we got two versions, one that is cautious and then eventually welcomes him, and another who's completely angry and blames a literal kid that he does not know the pain (from the war). Too real, and I personally don’t mind.

Frozen Stage Musical thoughts
December 2022 + October 2023  (because I forgot to make the initial post, so this is 2 for 1)
disclaimer: Some of my 2023 additions are probably not really *new* but it's hard to remember everything... Anyway, here are the notes I took right after seeing the shows!  + This is neither coherent nor an analysis, mostly just reactions to a few things lol, not even going to mention the songs cause they ALL slap
ACT 1
- Sir Jörgenbjorgen! He's right there! But he's Anna's stuffie? What does that mean?? (also is Olaf frozen advenure canon again?)
- Idunas scarf from F2!! Also right there! She's wearing it and then wraps Anna up in it after she is struck by Elsa's magic (love that)
- Iduna tells the trolls that she's Northuldra! She's the one who calls them to help Anna (setting up F2)
- Grand Pabi is uh not so gran anymore huh & Bulda says they love kids (raised a few of them themselves), and to bring Anna and Elsa around sometime
- It was a choice (neutral) to make the trolls hot
- Update: Idunna says they'll search far and wide for magical answers
- Update: Also, the gloves Elsa wears? They were Idunas!
- Update: And it looked like Iduna wanted to reply to Pabi asking "born or cursed" when Agnar interrupts and says "born" (I might have seen that wrong, but it made me think this is setting up F3??)
- Olaf actually asks about "Samantha?" When Anna and Kristoff hear him in the woods, wondering who's talking as he joins in on looking for himself... haha (Update: he asks for Samantha during "In Summer")
- Anna and Hans dancing! All the choreography is amazing and wow, but they do this funny bit of doing different (modern) dance moves together and it's pretty endearing
- when Anna tells Hans "I'm not the heir. I'm just the spare" referencing the outtake song that helped develop her character!! (Update: this hit the West End audience way different post-Prince Harry's book "Spare" and was hilarious!)
- Costumes!! HOLY SHIT, the details the materials the glitter in Elsa's ice, all of it is insane and regal and beautiful, and so well thought out I want a huge artbook with all the details, please
- Anna (Stephanie McKeon) could totally play Galinda; very Chenoweth voice qualities??? (Update: I got Gabrielle from Xena vibes for some reason, idk (Anna was Laura Dawkes))
- Wow they are doing amazing with the ice and the million and one backdrops! Insane! Also with the lights?! It's magical!
- Update: Oh my god Elsa (Laura Emmit) is so tiny and petite, the different statues of actresses always add a different flavour to the character design somehow? (Like it is so fun with Glinda and Elphaba and what their height difference will be each time) (I love everything unique an actress/actor will bring to their role)
- Elsa is like 10x more regal? I can't explain it but she very much feels like she's living in a piece of historical fiction more so than a fairytale. but I love it, it's brilliant and adds some layers too, she's so poised in the first act and polite and nods at the court like that(TM)
- more amazing dancing moments
- The Duke of Weselton calls Elsa pretty in a weird way while asking her to dance and later calls her "just a little girl" and lets out some sexism that women are weak, which is very in character and another addition to how the stage musical feels more realistic in a way? Or at least caters more towards adults
- he also says something VERY similar to Atohallen's memory of Elsa's grandfather; that magic is unnatural and uh I forgot the actual wording, but he essentially said the same thing = nothing good comes of magic (especially in the hands of a woman) (yes he says that)
- idk if Sven is amazing, cute and perfect or uncannily creepy lmao but gotta love him! Olaf is obviously perfectly recreated! (Update: Sven is so cute oh my god) (also Mikayla Jade is the first woman to ever play the role! She's a really cool stunt performer!)
- Anna is VERY flirty with Hans lmao, girl is so thirsty (the way she touched that statue's tits in "for the first time in forever" ahahaha) (Update: girl is so horny, all those adult jokes, did she actually get more horny this time? Bless her)
- Update: They don't make blorbos like Elsa anymore, for real
- Anna's snow outfit is so cute!!! With her hair open? And the hat and all that...
- Still gagging at the dress change in Let it go!
ACT 2
- Bulda asks if Anna doesn't want to marry Kristoff because of how she raised him, further solidifying how the trolls are his family
- PLUS when he joins the trolls dance! Because he KNOWS it! Wonderful moment (also wonderful when Anna starts joining in, all of her dances are so sweet and fun and Anna's love language is dance, I don't take criticism)
- child Anna's cast also played the baby troll during fixer-upper upper and it's the cutest scenes!
- Weselton and Hans both actually said they wanted to kill Elsa! Like the word kill has been said twice (2), and I just didn't expect it because Disney movies do like to dance around that one- it's really intense
- Elsa's pants and corset combo in the second act looked cool in pictures online, but seeing it irl? in the third row? Holy shit it's stunning! Her let it go dress too of course, but she looked amazing in this new outfit wow - the detail - (this is the part where I don't talk about how the corset, respectfully, she was just very stunning and wow Samantha Barks had the smallest waist ever known to man in that thing!)
- God those costumes are siccccc, a lot of this musical feels like historical fiction and is so so well thought out! The dances and songs and ten thousand backdrops are INSANE
- Instead of being knocked out by the falling chandelier, Elsa goes with the guards willingly, and they handcuff her on the spot (at the ice palace) Which is... a blow to my heart to say the least, but makes sense! She just asks to be taken to Anna, to make sure she's safe... being handcuffed and dragged off is perfectly reasonable for her!
- Update:
Weselton: "Even the queen is shivering"  Elsa: "I'm not cold"  Hans: "She's scared"
- the entire scene where Anna freezes to death (that also resembled dangerous to dream with the ensamble lifting Anna up; as the spotlight of Elsa's attention) was phenomenally choreographed and I have no words!!
TLDR: It's too mind-blowingly amazing for words, and so incredibly thought out! And it's a little more grown up too, adding some layers and fleshing out bits and bobs that I really enjoyed

I don’t like to be a hater;) but people calling Taylor swift the music industry is wild. She has achieved a lot but she hasn’t changed much or invented anything really. For her personally there’s not a lot of style, not a lot of artistry, choreography is bad, costume/makeup looks seem to have never changed, lyrics are mid af, and her whole concept has somehow been regurgitated like 20 times. It’s not from a place of maliciousness rather than confusion as to why she’s become so successful. Also her carbon emission is crazy. Idk somebody who is a fan maybe can rephrase it to me in a good way where I can understand but also whatever

Some Of My Favorite Cool Staging Choices in NPMD: a ramble, by me!
(is "staging" the right term? idk I wasn't a theater kid)
this will contain spoilers, which you can probably guess since it will be tagged as such.
When we see Richie getting attacked in the cold open, he's facing the audience; when it happens again (haha whoops) he's facing away from the audience & we get to see his attacker. idk man I just think the change in perspective is rad lol
Richie and Ruth taking the stage first for "High School Is Killing Me" because they're the ones who... y'know. (rip 💀)
when that first curtain thing lifts and reveals the rest of the stage 👌🏻
when Steph is trying to get Pete to help her cheat on the test the spotlight on them also lights up Grace before she butts in and gets them in trouble (foreLIGHTENing eh? eh?)
the rotating nerd huddle in "Literal Monster" brings me so much joy like Yes, put those nerds on a giant Lazy Susan and watch 'em go
the nerds sneaking along in the background when Max is singing
the bit with Miss Tessberger (sp?) leaving and returning to the stage from the opposite side
just everything about Pete & Steph's phone call. everything.
the stage going almost completely dark at the end of "Cool As I Think I Am" is fucking epic ok it's such a cool transition. also Max's "I bring light to darkness" and the lighting changes for that. they're both so cool
the bathtub prop. it just looks like it was fun to make. :)
when Steph is talking to Ruth & Richie and then she just turns and they're sneaking into the bathroom. it's like a movie transition in my brain. (also Mariah's little jump like she's trying to look into a stall is adorable)
NERDY PRUDES GOING TO THE WAYLON (sp?) PLACE MY BELOVED 💙 1. walking around the orchestra pit is cool & it's a fun, slightly-more-distanced throwback to when they walk thru the audience in TGWDLM & BF; 2. cool blue lighting + silhouettes, need I say more; 3. the tattered background descending as they walk is fucking magical
it's technically not part of the show at all but i have to give a shoutout to the person near the camera who goes "oh? oh?" when Pete & Steph exchange their cute lil looks in the Waylon House 😂
Richie moving behind the tattered curtains with the camera. also I know it isn't visible but the knowledge that the skele'on costume glows in the dark gives me life. (and Steph giving Ruth a thumbs-up when she's scaring Max??? adorable)
did they blur the npmd logo and put it over Max as he's dying? i fuckin love it no joke
that row of lights onstage just silently clicking off before Max shows up to get Richie 💀💀💀 and then they slowly come back RED
wHEN THE REST OF THE CAST LINES UP TO SILENTLY STAND WITNESS FOR RICHIE'S DEATH 💀💀💀💀💀
the pauses in Jeff's announcement to let everybody groan after their name is called (Joey's "ouhh noo" gets me every time)
I haven't really mentioned choreography because idk how to talk about dancing but... "Hatchet Town" my beloved <3 (all of the choreography in the show is so fun & cool)
BBQ monologues!! the stage is a stage! (whoa, is this tgwdlm???) Love the brief single spotlight on Ruth when she goes on, and bonus points for the red, white, & blue lighting bc barbecues are intrinsically linked to the 4th of July in my brain (🇺🇲🔥)
when Grace is talking to Detective Shapiro I love how gray the stage goes, especially after how colorful the BBQ monologue was, like ugh <3 it makes it feel more serious and important like shit's about to get real (it is)
Officer Bailey (I think that's his name? i do not trust my ears) just angrily moving the chairs after Grace steals his gun and escapes custody 😂
obligatory Beanies Paulkins & HCB scene 2.0 mention <3
Pete sweetie you were just at a football game how did you mix it up with baseball you fuckin nerd (affectionate)
The Chair Mishap™ (I'm not sure but I think all 3 of them broke there, to varying degrees)
Max chasing Solomon off the stage is fun, loved that. (oh shit if he gets you next make it thr... four. you'll be four. or five, technically...? are we still counting Max? this point got derailed.)
the squad car! the lights up top, the brake lights, and also I love when the car turns and everybody just leans to the side (SiS is my favorite for this). also Max just nyooming by as Shapiro takes off is hilarious.
HOLDING COURT WITH THE VOID!!! the increasing whispers, the lighting, the LORDS APPEARING, holy SHIT
the white lights & fog during the slow-mo bullet scene idk it just makes it for me
the homecoming disco ball and the different spotlights are great :D
the group pose at the end of "Best of Me"
the colored lights & Lords laughing at the beginning of "Dirty Dudes" 🤩
okay! that's everything that caught my eye on my fourth watch, lol. obviously there are many many many more awesome little details and funny bits but I wanted to focus more on the set & staging type stuff. it's really cool and interesting to me, especially after Black Friday's glorious secret Wiggly.
if you read all of this I hope you had fun!!
if you didn't have fun, feel free to keep that fact to yourself! 👉🏻👉🏻

Thank you for getting me the thousand boop badge >:3
What's your second favorite nonreplica? And why?
You're welcome :3
My second favourite non replica is Brno XD
I know, I know, but what can I say, I like the weird ones XD
But seriously I do really enjoy it!
The costumes maybe aren't phenomenal, but i do like most of them. My faves are def Skimble, Victoria, Jelly's Aria costume and ofc Gus and Asparagus in their mirrored suits. And Munk's t-shirt with printed on tie is just funny XD I know most people dislike the lack of catness they got going on, but I don't care that much and it doesn't take me out from the show. Probably cuz Warsaw is weirdly cat-but-not-cat and I'm used to it XD
I do like the vocals, my favs are hands down Gus, Asparagus and Jelly in "Gus..." and the Aria. And i like Skimble's voice too. And since Czech and Polish are somewhat close I can understand bits here and there of it so that's a plus XD
I like the choreography well enough, some bits are better than others. Once again Warsaw being my number one probably helps cuz if I had to compare I'd say the choreography is closer to it than to regular Cats XD
Also Tugger actually kisses a guy in there so that's a win XD
Besides that I like how they used the space they got and the props. Skimble's train and Misto's Ms Paint moment are my favs XD Plus ofc the motorbike
Also it has my favourite version of the Italian Aria and in my opinion the best handling of the Growltiger situation: Cut it out, but leave the Aria and play it totally serious and straight so Gus can have his moment, without taking Munk's moment earlier. I love Asparagux' voice and the mirrored costumes and Jelly and Gus lip-syncing to it. Just yeah, I love it
Speaking of characters, I do like their takes on most of them. Some are better than others (I don't really like their old D XD) but for the most part I think they did a great job. Especially Tugger, the guy playing him really put his everything into it XD Drunk Bustopher is also a choice and I think it's a fun take
And I love the added lvl to Griz' storyline. I like that she is old and disfigured and there's some letter and she's not been invited and there's clear family drama. Idk what exactly is going on but like yes, I like that it's more than just the regular "old lady is not welcome, for reasons". I just like that both Brno and Warsaw added some more connection between Griz and one or more tribe members besides Old D and implied reasons why she got kicked out, sue me XD
I like that sure it's human world, mafia/cult vibes, but there's still magic there XD Misto straight up kills Mac and then is a technology wizard, Gruz turns into an actual cat and it all take place in a clocktower or smth XD
And last but not least, there are some things in there that I think may or may not have been inspired by Warsaw XD Whether they were or whether it was just a coincidence, I always have fun noticing them XD
Like yeah overall I really really like it, I love the weird and bizzare bits and how messy and different it is. And just how fun watch it is

ok so i'm back, i've slept on it, here are some things i loved about the darlinghurst great comet (in no particular order - spoilers if you want to be surprised by the creative decisions):
the drinks were great, i don't drink so i had the war and peach at the intermission and it had glitter in it!! btw just in general love when theatres change the name of a drink for the show ('anatole spritz' (aperol spritz) tickled me)
everyone was so kind, i got complimented on my outfit and the person (usher? idk the word) was really helpful
the building was accessible in a way i wasn't used to. the accessible bathroom had those buttons to open and lock the door, idk whether the changing place was adequate for adults but it was there. there was a lift between the upper and lower ground floor so i could actually go down those half floor stairs that i usually just have to sit at the top of
the use of the (massive) disco ball was beautiful, i started crying during no one else and the little specks of light spinning like snow were a contributing factor in that
the costumes!!!! they definitely did their own thing with them. natasha's opening dress with the sleeves and anatole's crop top were highlights but the whole thing was cool. most of the fem clothes had a sort of babydoll vibe to them?? idk how to describe it.
sonya alone was beautiful, many of the solos (notably also pierre and dust and ashes) were performed as if the character was writing/singing a song rather than the actor performing the characters' thoughts, if that makes sense?? but just the spotlight on her, her playing the piano and singing..... it wasn't what i was expecting, but it allowed a nice little rest between bigger numbers and let me focus on the singing
the whole cast was so talented though, i think every actor played an instrument at some point which is super impressive. some of them had cellos strapped to them half the time and were still dancing.
the theatre was so small that i'm pretty sure the cast could fully see me sobbing in the back row at the end. that is how great comet should be.
the jumping skills were impressive. not just during the abduction but also when people were getting off the stage.
i like how opb's movements were mostly controlled by other actors dragging his clothes around. my dad and i had a conversation about whether it's symbolic of his privilege (having a bunch of yes man servants) or of his declining mental state (being controlled by his dementia (?) instead of what he used to be)
danatole rights in the duel and preparations (they are so dysfunctional <3). anatole grabbing at dolokhov's chest and kissing his neck when 'a fact known only to his intimates' *chefs kiss*
marya's actor wasn't performing and the swing was playing helene so the production manager (?) was playing marya. given that she didn't know the role perfectly (she had the script in hand) she did really well!!!!
the 2 little balconies were great, they added a lot of dimension to the stage. (for those wondering, to my memory the songs performed in the balconies were: pierre, natasha and sonya in the opera, natasha & anatole, dust and ashes, pierre in letters, preparations, anatole in find anatole, and pierre & anatole)
GENDERQUEER ANATOLE!!!!! the way they would switch octaves mid line <3333
actually multiple of these actors are trans/gnc!!!!!!!
there was no/very little ensemble so you could hear every individual voice during the harmonies
the program is gorgeous, there are little glossy constellations all over it which makes a nice texture
the choreography in charming was so neat. love those little shoulder wiggles.
no strobing in the duel (but yes strobing in the opera when anatole comes in)
they did something with the lighting during the ball kiss that sort of made it look like a veil of light and a little strip of darkness spinning around them. if i'm going to analyse it conveys natasha's confusion while giving her privacy. or something i can't figure out the words to explain it.
not really intentional but right before the bit of the opera with the show, they stopped the performance for a bit. idk why. but it was charming and helpful for me because i had to ground a bit.
i cried 7 times. my head hurt by the end of it.
the use of silence was so good. like pauses between songs, in the middle of them, idk just. you know that post about how live theatre conveys loneliness better than anything else? yeah.
i know i already said this but i kept putting these as separate points so i'll just say all the actors' performances are SO GOOD. natasha and sonya were like..... scarily well cast btw
the 'no, i am enjoying myself at home this evening' line was performed so well
i didn't get an on stage seat but they were sitting at a long table type thing that was actually part of the stage and the cast were literally dancing directly in front of them
i like the fact they didn't try to find gender conforming audience members to bring up (in this performance, mary's suitor was fem presenting and opb's 'cheap french thing' was masc presenting). they didn't change pronouns to try and match the gender presentation of whoever they called up. same with the actors during the abduction (matryoshka etc).
finally managed to id the woodwind instrument in the 'he'll come home one day and take me away, i want nothing more' bit ('twas a clarinet). that was bugging me for years.
the comet was depicted by natasha's actor holding a big lit up ball and slowly walking through the mid-audience bit of the stage. when the song ends she gives it to pierre and he holds it until it's the only light in the room. something something hope.
they didn't directly copy the recording, there were variations in the tune that caught me off guard (in a good way) and they pronounced things the way that was most natural for an australian performance instead of trying to americanise.
overall, the only thing i would want for is to have a recording for sale, because my memory is so shit that i remember something that happened yesterday about as well as i can remember being 4 years old (not an exaggeration). i'm sort of sad that i can't see it again and again, which is just part of ~the magic of theatre~ but also a sign that it's really that good.
(anyway i highly recommend it if you're in sydney before the 20th of august)

My initial screaming thoughts on the Avatar the Last Air Bender live action remake on Netflix. Spoilers for eps 1-4 below, will watch 5-8 later today probably.
I want to hug this casting director and also ask them how they pulled the chacters straight out of the cartoon and made them real.
IROH IS SO GOOD OMG
Lol wow the dialogue is really leaving nothing up to the imagination. Exposition exposition exposition. Get why they are doing it this way but it gets reeeeeally clunky sometimes.
We must say the exact number of years that everything has happened and everyone's age
hope line in ep 1 is straight out of Ember Island Players
WOW THE BENDING
WOW THE FIGHT CHOREOGRAPHY
The ostrich horses are chocobos and I am not taking any questions
😭 The airbender genocide is horrifying (as it should be)
Animals are a tad uncanny valley but I am okay with it
I appreciate that they kept so much of the original music even though it feels a little out of place for something live action
The tone is much more mature. The themes are different in a good way - they haven't changed much of what exists in the canon, just shifted focus. Adult side characters are getting more story. Stakes feel higher. Violence! Grittiness!
Firebenders are really fucking evil so they need to balance it with more morally gray/evil earthbenders and more upfront sympathy/development for Iroh and Zuko
This show could be enjoyable to someone who has never seen the cartoon before but it is definitely written for us, those who had our hearts broken by the movie
Sokka is not overtly sexist and honestly I'm okay with it. I like that arc for him in the animated tv show but with the tone of the live action, he couldn't just be funny sexist, he would have to be dark sexist and that just wouldn't be Sokka. Plus I like how they focus more on Sokka's sense of duty because it creates a good foil for Aang.
I was never really a big Sokka/Suki shipper but DAMN.
KYOSHI PLEASE STEP ON ME ALL I REALLY WANNA BE A GIANT WOMAN OMG THEY TOOK STUFF FROM THE BOOKS
I am getting more Zutara vibes rn than Katara/Aang idk
Okay they are condensing the plot but in really smart ways. We aren't losing much.
The set design. The costuming. SO PERFECT. Ohmashu looked great.
DANIEL PUDI AAAAHHHHHHHH
THE. CABBAGE. MERCHANT. 10/10 IT'S THE VOICEACTOR THEY CAST HIM IN THE LIVE ACTION
they mention secret tunnels. Are they gonna do it? Are they gonna keep it in?? YEEEESSSS FUCK YES OKAY THIS REMAKE IS AMAZING
I really like how they made the tunnels about sibling love tbh
Utkarsh Ambudkar disappears into the role of Bumi and it is SO GOOD
Me: *cries as Zuko comforts Iroh at Lu Ten's funeral* My husband: "Wait, listen to the music" Me: *listens* *lays down* *CRIES A LOT*
This show is very focused on showing what a 100 year war does to people and I think that was a good direction to take
Overall I am VERY happy with it. They understood the assignment, there is a ton of love for the show weaved into it, and I am excited to see more.

RAE HOW WAS IT I would love to hear you thoughts / impressions / surprise songs commentary etc
OKAY OBVIOUSLY IT WAS INCREDIBLE but here are my more detailed observations/notes!! i broke it down by era
overall
the miss americana intro was gorgeous, it gave me goosebumps - the arrangement, the flickers of previous songs and tour sounds, the dancers and their shell parachute things... idk the atmosphere and mood was just chillingly beautiful. i almost cried lmao and i NEVER get emotional at these types of things.
we were seated very close to some of her backup singers and band members (in section b by the floor) and they were so sweet and fun to watch! their expressions and interactions with each other were so fun and karina is hot like... hot
the pyro is HOT, i have no idea how her band stands it, they were soooo close to it.
lighting and AV tech was honestly an INCREDIBLE feat. i have so much awe and respect for her AV people and taylor's own interest in it.
overall, taylor seemed a bit subdued during my show. the performances were still on point but at the end she did seem a little over it and i wanted to tuck her into bed tbh.
also i have to laugh because, as y'all know, i am not a debut/fearless girlie so it's like taylor said (with love) "this goes out to all my fake fans" with the surprise song choices. but obviously i loved them!!!
folklore/evermore
the marjorie performance and her remarks after were so emotional. i got teary (and i think she did as well.)
i was in awe of the trees, costuming, choreography, props, etc. for evermore/willow... that set design was incredible
her voice during the evermore and folklore sets was just... incredible. i would sit through 3 hours of taylor just singing, with her guitar and piano.
the seven spoken word interlude was inspired and i loved it
red
tbh i did not expect to be affected by atw10 but i am so so so glad i watched it because it was amazing. incredibly moving, and the arrangement was beautiful especially after the last verse.
rep
unexpectedly, the rep era was probably my favorite! she brought so much energy to it, it felt like a major high point of the evening.
i saw the moment taylor realized she was bleeding and my first thought was "can't wait to see what the tumblr girlies are saying about this" lmao
WHY DON'T WE TALK ABOUT THE SEXY BAD BLOOD VISUALS MORE????
midnights
i love how in midnight rain, the choreography shows her dancers holding umbrellas for her, but she just keeps walking out from under them... they wanted to protect her from the pain, but she wanted it!!

my eyes hurt rn and I had the want to draw but can't rn, so here's au info that imma drop:
Hercules one piece au:
The couple who took zoro in (hercules) is actually just the dojo
Whos zues in this au? Idk um, smoker idk-
Then mihawk comes and is so done with this kid, but oh well-
Anyways, zoro just happens upon luffy, not made for him, just happens to find him while he got lost finding a mentor-
He saves sanji from a sea monster/beast (og thought was saving him from one of sanjis brothers buuuut idk, seems odd but it still could work)
Sanji had his heart broken by a woman, big surprise and his father set up the breakup so sanji could never leave or want to (aka, women are overrated kid)
See, I also want to do one where big mom is hades, it'd fit more ig....
Anyways, take this au with a grain of salt, so much in the works!
To the theater one piece au:
Im taking a theater class so-
Shanks in the iconic hat scene gives luffy a hat and a script shanks had written and told him to become the greatest director (changed from actor to director-)
Shanks works on on the road Broadway stuff
Zoro is a fight choreographer
Nami is a stage manager/ stage producer (yes ik the differences but still)
Sanji is the normal choreographer (dance and he has to work with zoro alot)
Usopp work with set but wishes to become a great actor one day
Chopper is on props and is a stage hand
Robin is another manager that helps with stuff back stage and helps give everyone a break
Franky is our man for tech, lights, and sound
Brooke is on it for music and some sound
Lastly Jimbe is here because he retired but is helping the gang make some amazing musical (teacher who helps)
Ace and the white beard pirates are a group that goes around doing musicals on the road too, but mainly stationed in one area
Marines can be the government or even critics
Sabo and revolutionaries do postmodern stuff
Buggy does circus stuff
Mihawk is king at fight choreography while perona is out here with costumes
Some of the crews are actually doing some stuff as actors too, like they aren't just crew
Sea kings *thats the name* are minor inconveniences
Fights that occur are actual fights so yes, adults r having beef with teens here too
When it comes to devil fruits they are still in play, and yes... even Chopper or Brooke and no, Fishman don't exist neither do I other species besides humans. So everyone else is human, an animal (via gum gum fruit) or dead/skeleton (gum gum fruit) no exceptions unless mentioned in comments
What do yall think, it's v long but I just wanted to get it out there
have a good day and here
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Have men who always have their tits out for ur troubles-
