This May marks Asian and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. As we recommit ourselves to collective liberation and restorative learning, I wanted send out a gentle reminder that these months should not be the extent of your antiracist (un)learning (x)
1. The Korean Women’s Relief Society in Hawai’i was founded in 1919 in response to the  March First Independence Movement in Korea (that called for full independence from Imperial Japan). Along with organizing aid through the Korean Red Cross, the KWRS also organized cultural activities and events like this mock Korean wedding ceremony (1921).

4 minutes in, and what is Jungwoo doing there, heh.
So it's evident that Jungwoo has been set on the MC/presenter path. He fits the Korean beauty type, and he is interested in the entertainment side of being an idol (dancing, singing are not as impoartant to him as to Doyoung or Shotaro). He already has been hosting a musical show longer than Jae or Do did Inkigayo. Evenso, he still lacks as a presenter. Hence the continued practice alongside Doyoung, Mark, Taeil, Johnny and solo segments for NCT content.
I guess Jaehyun isn't interested in MCing. He gave it a try. It's no fun without Do.
5:05 - Doyoung, stop flirting with men.
5:10 - Yes, here is an example of Woo making a mistake, Jinwoo saving him, Doyoung changing the topic to "Punch" for a quick transition. Also notice how Woo looks for questions in que cards and Doyoung foten comes up with his own.
5:51 - Hehe, Taeyong's attention is instantly only on Doyoung.
7:45 - lol, intrusive thoughts. Doyoung' is a very 's leading sense is definitely the tactile sense, he always touches the fabrics he is intrigued with.
8:19 - Give me attention! Stay and watch me practice! Haha.
9:58 - Compare Woo with Kun and Woo with Taeyong. It is evident with whom he is closer. Tae didn't even look at Woo till the last "Shalala fighting". We know Woo often goes to WayV dorm, Kun checks on him via sns as well.
14:37 - Mingtion is younger than I previoulsy thought. Does she participate on TV shows now for her face to be revealed? She knew how to tease Doyoung, heh. They are close.
21:05 - Is there a person in SM who Doyoung is not on a familiar basis, heh? Although Woo also knows her. Seems like she worked with DJJ.... ah, I was right.
127 in early October. Heh, it's 3Q actually, not 4Q. It also seems that more 127 neos will go solo this year. Not with albums, but with solo songs.
NCT Nation concert in August-September. 20 member group performances? It's like coming back to Rookies' Show.
36:01 - What is this smile and this exchange of looks? Doyoung's NCT Lab turn?
To sum it up: 2 albums for Dream, 1 for WayV, 2 for 127, 1 for NCT. If I'm not mistaken?
38:39 - So the director of NCT center is Noona to Doyoung? (director to Woo)
39:22 - And the other one is "Byeongjun-ie-hyung". He advanced from a manager in the dorms to a director of one of SM centers, hm. Woo also called him "hyung", I think.
It seems like the designer who worked on Dream albums (whose work we like) joined the center, right? Is it time to raise expectations for 127's cover designs?
42:25 - Look at Do's hand holding the t-shirt, he is rubbing the fabric unconciously.

The First Decoration Day
The people's history of Memorial Day in Charleston, South Carolina during Reconstruction.
Tumblr media
Americans understand that Memorial Day, or “Decoration Day,” as my parents called it, has something to do with honoring the nation’s war dead. It is also a day devoted to picnics, road races, commencements, and double-headers. But where did it begin, who created it, and why?
As a nation we are at war now, but for most Americans the scale of death and suffering in this seemingly endless wartime belongs to other people far away, or to people in other neighborhoods. Collectively, we are not even allowed to see our war dead today. That was not the case in 1865.
At the end of the Civil War the dead were everywhere, some in half buried coffins and some visible only as unidentified bones strewn on the killing fields of Virginia or Georgia. Americans, north and south, faced an enormous spiritual and logistical challenge of memorialization. The dead were visible by their massive absence. Approximately 620,000 soldiers died in the war. American deaths in all other wars combined through the Korean conflict totaled 606,000. If the same number of Americans per capita had died in Vietnam as died in the Civil War, 4 million names would be on the Vietnam Memorial. The most immediate legacy of the Civil War was its slaughter and how we remember it.
War kills people and destroys human creation; but as though mocking war’s devastation, flowers inevitably bloom through its ruins. After a long siege, a prolonged bombardment for months from all around the harbor, and numerous fires, the beautiful port city of Charleston, South Carolina, where the war had begun in April, 1861, lay in ruin by the spring of 1865. The city was largely abandoned by white residents by late February. Among the first troops to enter and march up Meeting Street singing liberation songs was the Twenty First U. S. Colored Infantry; their commander accepted the formal surrender of the city.
Tumblr media
Thousands of black Charlestonians, most former slaves, remained in the city and conducted a series of commemorations to declare their sense of the meaning of the war. The largest of these events, and unknown until some extraordinary luck in my recent research, took place on May 1, 1865. During the final year of the war, the Confederates had converted the planters’ horse track, the Washington Race Course and Jockey Club, into an outdoor prison. Union soldiers were kept in horrible conditions in the interior of the track; at least 257 died of exposure and disease and were hastily buried in a mass grave behind the grandstand. Some twenty-eight black workmen went to the site, re-buried the Union dead properly, and built a high fence around the cemetery. They whitewashed the fence and built an archway over an entrance on which they inscribed the words, “Martyrs of the Race Course.”
Then, black Charlestonians in cooperation with white missionaries and teachers, staged an unforgettable parade of 10,000 people on the slaveholders’ race course. The symbolic power of the low-country planter aristocracy’s horse track (where they had displayed their wealth, leisure, and influence) was not lost on the freedpeople. A New York Tribune correspondent witnessed the event, describing “a procession of friends and mourners as South Carolina and the United States never saw before.”
At 9 a.m. on May 1, the procession stepped off led by three thousand black schoolchildren carrying arm loads of roses and singing “John Brown’s Body.” The children were followed by several hundred black women with baskets of flowers, wreaths and crosses. Then came black men marching in cadence, followed by contingents of Union infantry and other black and white citizens. As many as possible gathering in the cemetery enclosure; a childrens’ choir sang “We’ll Rally around the Flag,” the “Star-Spangled Banner,” and several spirituals before several black ministers read from scripture. No record survives of which biblical passages rung out in the warm spring air, but the spirit of Leviticus 25 was surely present at those burial rites: “for it is the jubilee; it shall be holy unto you. . . . in the year of this jubilee he shall return every man unto his own possession.”
Following the solemn dedication the crowd dispersed into the infield and did what many of us do on Memorial Day: they enjoyed picnics, listened to speeches, and watched soldiers drill. Among the full brigade of Union infantry participating was the famous 54th Massachusetts and the 34th and 104th U.S. Colored Troops, who performed a special double-columned march around the gravesite. The war was over, and Decoration Day had been founded by African Americans in a ritual of remembrance and consecration. The war, they had boldly announced, had been all about the triumph of their emancipation over a slaveholders’ republic, and not about state rights, defense of home, nor merely soldiers’ valor and sacrifice.
According to a reminiscence written long after the fact, “several slight disturbances” occurred during the ceremonies on this first Decoration Day, as well as “much harsh talk about the event locally afterward.” But a measure of how white Charlestonians suppressed from memory this founding in favor of their own creation of the practice later came fifty-one years afterward, when the president of the Ladies Memorial Association of Charleston received an inquiry about the May 1, 1865 parade. A United Daughters of the Confederacy official from New Orleans wanted to know if it was true that blacks had engaged in such a burial rite. Mrs. S. C. Beckwith responded tersely: “I regret that I was unable to gather any official information in answer to this.” In the struggle over memory and meaning in any society, some stories just get lost while others attain mainstream dominance.
Officially, as a national holiday, Memorial Day emerged in 1868 when General John A. Logan, commander-in-chief of the Grand Army of the Republic, the Union veterans organization, called on all former northern soldiers and their communities to conduct ceremonies and decorate graves of their dead comrades. On May 30, 1868, when flowers were plentiful, funeral ceremonies were attended by thousands of people in 183 cemeteries in twenty-seven states. The following year, some 336 cities and towns in thirty-one states, including the South, arranged parades and orations. The observance grew manifold with time. In the South, Confederate Memorial Day took shape on three different dates: on April 26 in many deep South states, the anniversary of General Joseph Johnston’s final surrender to General William T. Sherman; on May 10 in South and North Carolina, the birthday of Stonewall Jackson; and on June 3 in Virginia, the birthday of Jefferson Davis.
Over time several American towns, north and south, claimed to be the birthplace of Memorial Day. But all of them commemorate cemetery decoration events from 1866. Pride of place as the first large scale ritual of Decoration Day, therefore, goes to African Americans in Charleston. By their labor, their words, their songs, and their solemn parade of flowers and marching feet on their former owners’ race course, they created for themselves, and for us, the Independence Day of the Second American Revolution.
Tumblr media
The old race track is still there — an oval roadway in Hampton Park in Charleston, named for Wade Hampton, former Confederate general and the white supremacist Redeemer governor of South Carolina after the end of Reconstruction. The lovely park sits adjacent to the Citadel, the military academy of South Carolina, and cadets can be seen jogging on the old track any day of the week. The old gravesite dedicated to the “Martyrs of the Race Course” is gone; those Union dead were reinterred in the 1880s to a national cemetery in Beaufort, South Carolina. Some stories endure, some disappear, some are rediscovered in dusty archives, the pages of old newspapers, and in oral history. All such stories as the First Decoration Day are but prelude to future reckonings. All memory is prelude.

North Korea is an unimaginable country, there is only one channel on TV, there is no internet, we aren't free to sing, say, wear or think what we want.
North Korea is the only country in the world that executed people for making unauthorised international phone calls.
North Koreans are being terrorised today.
When i was growing up in North Korea I never saw anything about love stories between men and women. No books, no songs, no press, no movies about love stories.
There is no Romeo and Juliet, every story was propaganda to promote the Kim dictators.
I was born in 1993 and I was abducted at birth even before I knew the words freedom or human rights. North Koreans are desperately seeking and dying for freedom at this moment.
When I was 9 years old I saw my friend’s mother publicly executed, her crime: watching a Hollywood movie.
Expressing doubt about the greatness of the regime can get three generations of a family imprisoned or executed.
When I was four years old, I was warned by my mother not to even whisper, the birds and mice couldn't hear me. I admit it: I thought the North Korean dictator could read my mind.
My father died in China after we escaped North Korea and I had to bury him, at 3 a.m in secret. I was 14 years old. I couldn’t even cry. I was afraid to be sent back to North Korea.
The day I escaped North Korea, I saw my mother raped. The rapist was a Chinese broker. He targeted me. I was 13 years old. There is a saying in North Korea: “Women are weak, but mothers are strong.” My mother allowed herself to be raped in order to protect me.
North Korean refugees about 300,000 are vulnerable in China. 70% of North Korean women teenage girls are being victimised, sometimes sold for as little as $200.
We walked across the Gobi desert, following a compass, when that stopped working we followed stars to freedom. I felt only the stars were with us.
Mongolia was our freedom moment. Death or dignity. Armed with knives, we were prepared to kill ourselves if we were going to be sent back to North Korea. We wanted to live as humans.
People often ask me: How can we help North Koreans? There are many ways, but I would like to mention three, for now.
One, educate yourself so you can raise awareness about the human rights crisis in North Korea.
Two, help and support North Korean refugees who are trying to escape to freedom.
Three, petition China to stop repatriation.
We have to shed light on the darkest place in the world. It isn’t just North Korean human rights it's our rights that the North Korean dictators have violated for seven decades.
We need governments around the world to put more pressure on China, to stop repatriation. In particular, Chinese delegates of One Young World can play a part by speaking out.
North Korea is indescribable. No humans deserve to be oppressed just because of their birthplace.
We need to focus less on the regime and more on the people who are being forgotten. One Young World, we are the ones who will make them visible. Fellow delegates, please join me as we make this a global movement to free North Koreans.
When I was crossing the Gobi desert, scared of dying, I thought nobody in this world cared. It seemed that only the stars were with me.
But you have listened to my story.
You have cared, thank you very much.

Kingdom : Final Episode (pt2)
Tumblr media
Minyoung's Outfit
Tumblr media
[What’s ATEEZ’s ‘attractive looks’?]
[The six men and a lady who will make ATINY’s hearts flutter are coming.]
[Vincen-Jongho Cassano, the luxurious young masters and the charming young lady.]
Seonghwa: “Minyoung-ah, careful.” *holds out his hand and helps her out the van*
Yunho: “Are you sure this is the place? It’s a construction site though?”
Minyoung: *laughs* “We dressed up this nicely but Hongjoong-oppa is probably trolling us.”
San: “Where are we?”
[POWER. Hongjoong called the members to a construction site?]
Wooyoung: “We got all dressed up so let’s pretend that we’re awesome.”
Minyoung: “What are you saying oppa? We don’t need to pretend! We’re awesome. *laughs* We need to believe in ourselves! Let’s project it through since we’re all dressed up today.”
[CONFIDENCE! Is this the power of dressing up?]
Yunho: “I don’t know about you all but I was promised food and I intend to get food.”
[Then let’s go do it again!]
[Walk as if the construction site is a runway!]
[Looking real dandy, modern, chic, classic, and elegant]
Minyoung: “Did we really have to walk one-by-one? *laughs*”
Hongjoong: “Oh! You’re here.”
Yunho: “Check out the sunlight!”
Jongho: “What is this?”
Seonghwa: “You rented out the whole place?”
Minyoung: “Oppa give me allowance. *holds out hand before laughing and taking the seat between Seonghwa and Yunho*”
Hongjoong: “Take your time to look around before you sit!”
Jongho: “But the sun is too hot!”
Minyoung: “You should have told us so I could have worn a hat.”
Hongjoong: “*pointing at San* Yah. You really got dressed up today.
San: “You said to dress up.”
Hongjoong: “Yes, I did say that, but..”
Minyoung: “This is why when you give out invitations, you should specify a theme oppa.”
[Hongjoong scanning]
Hongjoong: “You’re all wearing pretty..Gosh. I expected Minyoung but everyone really put on an effort to their outfits today. *laughs*”
[This is what being real is.]
Jongho: “Please call me Vincen-Jong today.”
Hongjoong: “Call you Vincen-Jong?"
Minyoung: "No! Please no. I quite like the show. *laughs*"
Hongjoong: “You really cleaned up nicely.”
Wooyoung: “You all should have seen what Minyoung was picking from. *laughs*”
Minyoung: “Oppa! Please *laughs* I was just following instructions to dress up nicely.”
Yeosang: “Why? Why?”
Wooyoung: “So I was going to ask her to help me tie my hair and saw her staring at outfits on her bed.”
San: “But if it’s Mintokki, won’t it look okay?”
Wooyoung: “Oh it’s okay. But among them, she contemplated if she needs to wear a formal dress! *laughs*”
Minyoung: “It isn’t even a formal dress oppa! *laughs* It was just a maxi-dress! I did think it would be a bit over the top if we’re going to eat so I decided on this.”
Yunho: “I asked Seonghwa-hyung ‘Why aren’t you wearing it and only have it around your arm?’ he said ‘Yah. This belong only on my arm.’”
Seonghwa: “This is fashion.”
Hongjoong: “You have to be like that the whole day.”
Yunho: “He’s the real winner!”
Hongjoong: “You have to do that all day!”
Seonghwa: *stands up and put slings the coat over his shoulder* “This is for something like this.”
Hongjoong: “Okay. No food for you if you put that down.”
San: “Hongjoong-hyung! So…”
Yunho: “Did you listen to it?”
Hongjoong: “We decided on our final song today.”
Wooyoung: *sings the instrumental*
[BGM genius]
Hongjoong: “Our final song, even the title, is so real!”
San: “You’re right.”
Hongjoong: “The song we, ATEEZ, prepared is <The Real>. In short, it’s the song that contains ATEEZ’s realness. And I hope that it becomes a song that lets us show real Korean beauty to our Korean and International fans.”
Hongjoong: “That’s why I wanted us to get all dressed up, eat delicious food, and get ready for the final round.”
San: “Good then. But who’s going to pay?”
Hongjoong: “Well, you guys have had a rough time..”
[Could it be…?]
Hongjoong: “so I’ll use my card.”
[Hongjoong FLEX]
The members cheered upon hearing Hongjoong say that he will use his card to pay for the food.
San: “How much will you spend? I checked the prices.”
Hongjoong: “Since we’re at it anyway, order all you want so I can brag about it.”
Minyoung: “Oppa, you do know those are dangerous words right? *laughs*”
Hongjoong: “But we have to win first place on Kingdom.”
Wooyoung: “Don’t make us spit it out again when we don’t get first place.”
Hongjoong: “If we don’t win first place, then we’ll split the check. *laughs*”
Minyoung: “What’s that *laughs*”
Hongjoong: “Our final song has a clear title and theme.”
Wooyoung: “Right.”
Seonghwa: “It’s really something.”
Minyoung: “I had a hard time though? *pouts*”
Yunho: *pats Minyoung’s head, laughing* “It went well though right?”
San: “It’s so cool.”
Hongjoong: “If we talk about this song, it came out a long time ago.”
Jongho: “Right.”
Hongjoong: “We have to perform this song that we treasure in the final round. This time, I want to show an entirely different style to the extent where people can no longer remember our performances from MAMA, Introduction Stage, and Rounds 1 to 3.”
Wooyoung: “This is what I think. If round 1 to round 3 were about showing what we’re great at and what we wanted to do. The final round is where ATEEZ can show what they need to do to look real awesome.”
Minyoung: *nods* “It’s really a different part of ATEEZ but it’s also what we’ve been aiming for since debut.”
Yunho: “Oh hyung! Where’s your jacket?”
[Hawk-eyes!]
Seonghwa: “You caught me.”
Hongjoong: “Don’t be like that.”
Seonghwa: “Come on! It’s okay even if I don’t put it around my arm!”
[The food has arrived! Unlock the dishes today with the leader’s card!]
Hongjoong: “Let’s do an awesome job until Kingdom’s final round.”
Everyone: “9 makes 1 team. Let’s go!”

last week, li'l ole joltie went to see ateez live in concert (crazy, right?) and here is what transpired hehe
WARNING: INTENSE AMOUNTS OF FANGIRLING AND KEYSMASHING.
wonderland (symphony no. 9)
AND THERE THEY ARE, THE EIGHT WONDERS OF THE WORLD THEMSELVES
the way i screamed-
the energy in the arena was off the charts
and it was at the first OH WE MUST GOING ONNNNN that it sunk in that i was witnessing these men performing live
*aggressively scream-raps mingi's verse*
and yes they did the evil stick bug move (my nickname for it)
quoth me at the iconic quadruple high note courtesy of a certain someone: CHOI JONGHO YOU MAGNIFICENT BASTARD
introductory ment
just seven little words: EIGHT MAKES ONE TEAM ANNYEONGHASEYO ATEEZ IMNIDA!
red joong! red captain!
"hello newark! HELLO!" - park seonghwa, 2022
yuyu my beloved :)
and yes, before you ask, yeosang is indeed a doberman
san really loves yellin huh
mingi's beautiful deep voice has me goin (❁´◡`❁)
"FIX ON IS BACK IN THE TOWN WASSUP" - song mingi, 2022
polite wooyo :) what a gentleman
baby maknae!
their english has improved so much i'm so proud
SEONGHWA ARE YOU WEARING A HARNESS
it's the beginning of the end of a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong wait
OKAY SAILORS!
san growling is just 🥵
pirate king
and here we are, back at the beginning. the beginning of the end, that is hehe
STEP ONE TWO THREE AND ONE TWO THREE LET'S GOOOO
wooyo's jacket flip tho X﹏X
GET READY ATINYS WE'RE GONNA GO SAILING
vocals on point
say my name
time to ramp the energy up to eleven!
*from the top of my lungs* ATEEZ PRESENT
SAY MY NAME SAY MY NAME SAY MY NAAAAAAAAAME
ment #2
PARK SEONGHWA YOU ARE THIS CLOSE TO WRECKING MY BIAS LIST-
oh who am i kidding he already did
as someone who's used to his soft speaking voice, it came as quite a shock to hear him growling like that
but i digress
they've got a lot to say about how much they missed us atinys
more amazing english moments
"y'know time flies when we meet atinys!" "say that again?" "i love you :)"
treasure + precious
and once again, choi "power vocals" jongho is outdoing himself with his, well, power vocals
i legit thought that the precious bit was actually part of treasure but alas i was wrong
didn't stop it from slapping hard tho
and i am 100% convinced that mingi's deep-ass vocals were live
POP POP POP
high notes?? from kim hongjoong?? it's more likely than you think
utopia
okay, real talk here
before this, i didn't think much of utopia as one of my favorite songs
but thanks to a certain park seonghwa, it very well might add itself to the list
i mean HELLO?! PARK FUCKING SEONGHWA BELTING AN A5?!
is this heaven?
my dumbass thought it was san tho but hey ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
FINALLY NOW IT'S HWA'S TIME
better (korean ver.) + still here (korean ver.)
this was actually my first time hearing these songs, and i really enjoyed hearing them
really nice!
san's vocals in the beginning reminded me of a certain kim jongin's vocals....
quoth my friend devin at a certain moment between seongjoong: i ship it
wave
everybody sing with me now! GEONBAE GEONBAE-
aaaand they're dancing now. thought they'd spend the entirety of this track just vibing on the stage but no
they're doing their little dancey dance
i spy a jongsang headspin :)
and now for the immortal lines: HAKUNA MATATA YA
ment #3
chitchat time again
i legit screamed MARRY ME and hj answered with "i love you too!"
call me delusional, but i'm sticking to my claim that kim hongjoong noticed me that night
what's this? we're talking about dreams?
the fact that they got us all to chant 'daddy'-
eh, in their words, dreams come true
inception
i am absolutely loving the masks and the puppet-like movements in the beginning of this performance
and the instrumental tho
I SPOT YEOSANG ABS I SPOT YEOSANG ABS-
san's asymmetrical fit is probably the best stylistic choice ever made
don't tell me to shut up about jongho's vocals because i will NEVER shut up about jongho's vocals. man was literally carrying the whole show and all he had to do was sing
deja vu
oh boi
having seen the mv and various stage performances of this song, i know where this is going
and mingi actually whispered 출발하면 뛰어, 가빠지는 우리 racing in front of a live audience
YEOSANG ABS AND WOOYOUNG TUMMY? it's more likely than you think
and yes yunho(e) did the thing with his hand covering his eyes
take me home
i absolutely adore the staging of this number with the moving mirrors
and i didn't notice it at first, but san was blindfolded
over and over again... *clears throat*
2ho having a truly amazing moment together (that i managed to get a good photo of)
at the end san just?? disappeared??
and it was all to the tune of tmh's truly epic sax solo
ment #4
CHOI SAN WHAT KIND OF BLACK MAGIC DO YOU POSSESS
speaking of san, he's got his blindfold on him
YEOSANG SHOW US YOUR ABS AGAIN
the next performance is... a surprise?
no hint, just show
oh boi
desire
THEY ARE DOING DESIRE I REPEAT THEY ARE DOING DESIRE
red bois
joong did the laugh, YES KIM HONGJOONG DID THE LAUGH
cue me freaking out
everybody say it with me now: I LOVE MY DESIRE
and then joong broke his neck
hala hala
cue me freaking out again
because this time they're doing hala hala
i just love how hongjoong rapped his verse
EVERYBODY NOW ALL TOGETHER: DEEP IN MY HEART DEEP IN MY SOUL 피어나는 FLASHING LIIIIIIIIGHT
this hala hala dance break is brought to you by woosan being evil
and they all fall down (except wooyo who gets to stick out his tongue)
idk why but i thought the thud as they hit the ground was pretty satisfying to me
answer + declaration
i sound like a broken record but EVERYBODY SING NOW: GEONBAEHAJA LIKE A THUNDER
the way i screamed during jongho's high note-
not gonna lie san wouldn't look out of place as an extra in les mis with the suspenders and the button-down shirt
joong did his iconic mic flip, the world is at peace
bulleo bulleo *hip thrust*
okay call me dumb for just noticing this as i'm rewatching my concert videos but i'm sure mingi rapped his verse in a deeper tone than usual
ONE TWO THREE LET'S BURN
this performance of declaration is brought to you by, once again, woosan
doing a couple dance this time
fireworks (i'm the one)
i must say that fireworks holds a special place in my heart as the song that first got me into ateez
so i was pretty pumped when i heard the opening notes
did san just... smack his crotch?
oh wait he smacked his tummy
(yes i watched a fancam to find out that information)
quoth @serendipityhyejoo on youtube: they put their whole ateezussy into this stage
and i couldn't agree more
bulnoriya bitches
ment #5
we just saw the energetic version of ateez, but when are they not energetic?
oh boi they're talking about their most attractive features
OH BOI JONGHO'S GONNA SING FOR US
and this, ladies gents and enby friends, is the prime example of a maknae on top
damn mingi and jongho really want a piece of that tasty wooyo pie don't they
if ya know what i mean *lenny face*
KANG YEOSANG YOU DID NOT JUST TOUCH THE WOOBIES
YOU HEARD THE MAN LESGEDDIT
good lil boy + the leaders + to the beat
this medley gave me vibes of the dope/baepsae/fire medley from the bts concert i went to tbh
but even tho ateez could possibly do fire, bts could never do good lil boy (okay i deserve to have my army card revoked /j)
more growling from san (i swear that man is turning into a tiger)
they just vibin
honestly to the beat is a whole-ass bop and a half
song mingi spitting bars like nobody's business since 1999
i swear, i'm surprised the stage isn't on fire after that display
and they're dancing again
thanxx
more broken record stuff from me in 3 2 1
YESSIR YESSIR YESSIR ✨GRACIAS✨
these boys have claimed prudential center as their own and it shows
and just for the hell of it i attempted jongho's high notes and actually succeeded
good job joltie
ment #6
jongho said aight imma head out, however san thinks he can fly
he tried to go back under the stage lol
oh mingi, the lightiny sticks aren't the only things that are beautiful here...
audience wave? what a novel idea!
damn san, you're so good at english...
yunho spiderman? move over tom holland, you've got some competition!
now it's woosanhwa's turn to say aight imma head out
in the meantime: jongho called yeosang out for wearing a sleeveless shirt
and then he flexed and got shy
quoth kim hongjoong: sexy
mingi: *poke poke*
time for wooyo aegyo
LAST SONG?! i know you’re joking joongie
rocky
another song i'm hearing for the first time, not just in concert, but in general
mingi's boxing robe was definitely a cultural reset
just... the energy man
the real (heung ver.)
and once again: ATEEZ PRESENT
ige baro meoshingira!
wooyo and jongho were definitely feeling themselves
dare i say: throwing it back
and the dance performance in the beginning was just *chef's kiss*
ENCORE ENCORE
eternal sunshine
THEY’RE DOING ETERNAL SUNSHINE AKEKRPFKWNEOROTBTKEODHFJ
so bright!
wooyo was filming himself
etsun is a song i really like listening to, and i think i might end up making it one of my favorites
november babies posing together on “okay cheese”
just four little words: YOU’RE MY SHINING ✨STAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR✨
getting to sing with jongho was like a dream come true
and wooyo made a heart ❤️
dancing like butterfly wings
just cute boys having fun~
mingi said i love you atinys at the beginning of his verse (before saying fix on, of course)
san singing like the rent is due despite dlbw being a chill song
best 4th gen rap duo popping off as usual
and best 4th gen main vocalist/maknae singing his heart out
they did the eight makes one team thing with their feet!
ment #7
photo time!
now call me delusional again but i shouted HI MINGI and as if on cue, he turned around and waved back
hwa said he’d frame the picture and put it on his shelf with his albums
and now they’re gonna do a song for us atinys… wonder what that’s gonna be?
star 1117
now i didn’t film most of this because i had my phone flashlight on (san told us to turn them on for the song)
however…
i do have the last few bits of it on video
hongjoong broke down in tears and it was heartbreaking to watch 😭
my poor baby
however it wasn’t all sad
san got to flex his vocals (hello, high notes!)
i think hwa started crying too…
closing ment
yeosang said we all looked like stars when they sang star 1117
jongho told us that he often thought of how many people he and the rest of ateez would perform for after their debut and thanked us for giving them such a memorable night
wooyoung wants us to tell every city about ateez
he’s never alone because he has ateez and atinys 😭😭😭
mingi, like jongho, thanked us for making memories with them,,, my sweetheart, my beloved
you heard san! ateez paved the way and we’ll follow you to the ends of the earth!
and that’s a promise!
yeosang said that performing in front of cameras without atinys isn’t as special as performing in front of cameras with atinys
before debuting, yunho didn’t think of happiness as a word, but now that he’s with atinys, he can feel happy and loved and that is just so sweet 😭😭
“because of you, i learned how to love myself” - park seonghwa, 2022
it’s the captain’s turn to talk now, wonder what he has to say
joong definitely wasn’t crying, no sir
me @ hongjoong’s closing speech: and thus spoke the captain!
and it was at that moment that i realized that bbtrippin is actually part of kqent (surprising)
turbulence
and the show is over… for real this time, sadly
but that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy one last song from our boys
if mingi wants to be where we’re at, then i wanna be where he’s at (fix on)
jongsan harmonizing… once again, is this heaven?
on today’s episode of “i didn’t know this song had choreography”: turbulence has choreography
WE LOVE YOU THREE THOUSAND SANNIE
and just like that, they’re gone… 🥺
but i know i’ll get to see them again someday.

I wanted to give myself a day to process before I spilled all of my “Phantom” feelings. Have I fully decompressed? Not really, and today was the DAY6 album release, so I am just going to have all the feelings forever.
To be honest, most of the show was a blur because 1. All the songs were in Korean, and I had to really work to follow along, and 2. IT WAS KYUHYUN. I cry just looking at pictures of him on my laptop; you can imagine what seeing him in person did to me.
His voice! His clothes! All of it! Perfection! During the show, he wore a vest, a white shirt, very nicely fitting pants 😏, coats, and a cape — this musical was literally made for me because I have this weird thing for men in flouncy Victorian-era clothes. “Phantom” fully delivered on that front 😍 I bought a program and a postcard set. When I sent my mom the closeup of my favorite postcard, she said, “No wonder you cried” 😅 She knows me too well!
Kyuhyun did wear a mask for the entirety of the show, but I’ve looked at his face every day for 10 years, so I know what he looks like lol. But I still missed seeing that perfect face!
I definitely watched the first half through a veil of tears. My mask hid my ugly crying, thank god! I was able to contain my crying for most of the second half, but I kept getting overwhelmed by the thought of “THAT’S KYUHYUN ONSTAGE” and then I would cry again 😅 So fun having 10 years of love erupt all at once.
For those playing along at home, I cried before the show even started lol. The full on embarrassing sobs began when I heard Kyu’s voice (he sings the opening of the show before you see him). Just existing in the same space as Kyuhyun brought me to tears. And then to hear that perfect voice? I’m going to cry forever.
I already knew this, but hearing him sing in a musical really cemented it: Kyuhyun is the best singer in the world. That’s not my bias speaking, that’s the truth. I am constantly in awe of how he continues to improve. 10 years ago, he could barely emote. Yes, he technically sang perfectly, but the emotion wasn’t there. Now he’s an in-demand musical actor who can fill his voice with any emotion. I’m so proud of him!
Seeing him outside the theater was surreal. I’m shocked I was the only person waiting for him. I’m pretty sure I was the only foreigner at the theater, too. But I know I wasn’t the only Kyuhyun fan though 😂 There was a line to take a picture of the cast wall, and every girl walked up to take a picture of Kyu’s photo hahaha.
I’m still feeling incredibly grateful that I got to experience this. Kyuhyun starred in his first musical in 2010, and since then, it has been a dream of mine to see him in a musical. The only time I had seen him in person was at SMTOWN New York in October 2011, and it was worth the 9-year wait to see him onstage again! ❤️

Ooh omg NGDA act 1
YESSSSS HONESTLY A PERFECT ALBUM.
Tumblr media
1. criminal - perfect track perfect mv absolutely flawless immaculate singlehandedly dragged me back into kpop by the throat. i skip title tracks in my daily listening usually but criminal just works.
2. black rose - the choreo for this transported me to another realm. an adrian mckinnon masterpiece, pls watch reacttothek’s interview with him about this album. it’s gothic video game music and also the most hip hop song taemin has done until advice. advice has a lot in common with this song actually.
3. clockwork - makes me :’) i need the just me and you style vcr for this as well pls... or better yet a contemporary stage...
4. waiting for - i’m rly picky with pop music from not latin countries doing this kind of music but it’s so well done with the trap beat i desperately need a stage of this and it has to be like tango choreo. like a 4 on 1 tango situation where 2 men and 2 women take turns spinning him around.
5. nemo - RNB BAYBEE!!!!!!!!! CLASSIC!!!!!! his voice isn’t quiiiiiite big enough for adlibs section of this song yet but i’m excited to see him get there. this is a very taemin take on a very jonghyun style song. it’s also one of my shower songs maybe i’ll post a cover sometime. it’s just so fun to sing. and the lyrics are clever. the producer for this said everyone in the studio were amazed by how well he sang this in the studio, and the radio host said “wow so the producers became an audience?” and she agreed. i would actually love to see jinki or minho cover this one.
6. just me and you - i fuckin love this song..... the vcr made me love it so much more.... i love the tape player/radio clicks at the beginning and end
7. strangers - i also fuckin love this song this ranking means nothing. i love the technique in his voice in this one the tiny details like his lilting at the end of high notes in “you-ou and i-i are strangers with memories”
8. 2 kids - i was a 2 kids hater at first it’s such a western style produced song but now i find myself singing it involuntarily and am also deeply moved by the mv
9. famous korean version - i love this song i just got too used to the japanese version’s sounds and get confused

Stuff I might never get to do (from books I read after I thought I had mastered the Bible / Scripture)
1.
Theories of ‘political vision’ - ex. Obama’s ‘A Promised Land,’ or from someone I miss, UKPM David Cameron’s ‘For the Record.’  Also records of military careers and the consequences and lessons therefrom, particularly Gen., Prof. Stanley A. McChrystal’s ‘My Share of the Task’ - decades of one meal a day, utterly excellent love-letters and wisdom-writings to his wife, sweeping reports, culminating in the operation that ‘extrajudicially or para-judicially executed’ bin Laden.  I also never forgot the NYTimes photo of the SEAL operator’s back-muscles.  My giant Obama critique, however, was one of those ‘grandfather Hall of Presidents’ books that I want to postpone.
2.
My mistakes and wishes.  Ex. the woman I wanted to marry in early 2011; I had cut off my parents for 6 months and called one night my mom; she got really drunk that night, flirted with foreigners from [ultra-mercenary cram-school that hires anyone], got terrorized by [b/Black man of the type who clearly believes ‘As I am b/Black I know everything worth knowing and can terrorize, antagonize, demonize anyone and anything for the greater glory of my own ego / Chairman Mao].  Culminating in me in the ladies’ room telling her to get up and I told her so, going back to the pub-room and threatening the mercenaries, and finally being ‘mogged,’ masculinity-compromised or eclipsed / overpowered, by the man who was either her surrogate father-figure, rapist, seducee-turned-wrist-breaking-controller, no one really knew, and my ex-father-figure who however either a) failed to bait the trap properly and/or b) failed to communicate the true meaning and message and purpose of his love for me, to me.  But, it was instrumental in blowing what was probably the best job I ever had, and the only job that ever asked me back.
After that I started honestly trying to live for either a) the younger generation b) ‘just me.’  I also made a number of hard or soft promises to students involving me writing stuff.  Don’t say ‘will’ or ‘might’ to Koreans b/c it kind of spiritually translates in to ‘shall’ or ‘must’ or ‘has to.’  They’re the poor in spirit from what I can tell.
I also drove around California for a while, missed a job-offer from a Catholic university in [central Korean city], and thought a lot about F. Scott Fitzgerald.  Studied Emmanuel ‘ethics-as-first-philosophy love-of-wisdom-converting-into-wisdom-of-love’ Levinas a bit, read ‘Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother’ and couldn’t sleep
3.
Sundry ‘Teacher Dream(s).’  I’d been hoping in a way that ‘Free Food for Millionaires’ author Min Jin Lee, JD Yale etc, would put this all in her ‘American Hagwon’ but she’s been baking fancy cakes and writing offside / deflective lit. about Japanese gays for like 10 years while NK marched on in real life killing people and Koreans were also dying from numerous causes, running away from home, economically induced suicide, amazing shame- and rape-culture: cashing in.  I remember my last night at the hagwon, a time of bonhomie, when I perhaps might’ve even said, ’Y’know, can I un-resign-in-protest?’  Boss, What’ll you miss most about Korea, Korean women?’  Me (playing the fool), ‘There are Korean women in America.’  Boss, (sforzando), ‘Gyopo women.’
My ‘best guess’ anyway at ‘edubusiness’ was sth I labored at off and on for now like 6 years called ‘Three Kings’ which is partly about a white ex-literary agent family named ‘Foch’ after the French Generalissime who actually won WW1, famous for his ‘moral factor’ theory of war as well as his remark, ‘This is not a peace but an armistice for 20 years.  He makes 400,000 dollars in his 1st year of college by advising his roommate to publish his ‘freshman’ novel with an extreme ‘point,’ not worrying about winning every possible reader, just let me edit all the sign-post-phrases and tell you what I firmly believe you were trying to write, sell this novel for 2million dollars, marry the Korean girl across the hall, forget RU, cultivate life and love with your stylus, and I’ll continue to march on simultaneously trying to promote love while reading everyone and everything semi-against or [angle / thrust-vector to] their grain (for their own good).  Later he starts a school with his two friends, an MD/PhD program dropout from LA and an MBA ex-Samsung Managing Director or something.  But in the end his MD/PhD friend can’t stop thinking about [student’s] amazing breasts and [MBA] friend can’t stop hating and short-selling himself w/r/t marriage and self-regard b/c he’s stuck in the other-always-has-more-money-always-more-money-to-make mentality.  In the end the protagonist resigns in protest from the company he himself designed, developed, planned, etc. but didn’t have the money to call his own after reaching the position of ‘Joint Department Head’ which is kind of like ‘Chief of Staff’ to a president at a much smaller scale.  He’s a devout literal Christian or at least Christianist who wishes the world were Christian and he reflects in the end on the Longfellow poem about the Three Kings who ‘know King Herod’s hate’ and had to travel back to their homelands a different way.  There is also a possibly-to-be-deleted ‘Interludio Meridiana’ where he happens across the molested constantly male-gazed student in Nonhyeon (a neighborhood South of the Han River but not at all like the PSY song), starts to hear Palestrina’s ‘Sicut Cervus’ (listen to it on YouTube - Palestrina’s polyphony philosophy is one of the crowns of human art) in his head, wanders down to the bus depot and finds that his thoughts / creativity etc. have become cathected, chained to, or at least led by memory, and he has joined a ‘chain of being’ that connects the past to the future.
4.
‘Bethlehem Dream’ - kind of my homage to the forementioned Kim Minju of IZ*ONE, my last favorite pop-star before assuring Christian friend I’d stop following K-pop (I’m against BlackPink and their entire organization).  Connects to all my dreams and theories of education - including my extreme disillusionment with education, and sympathy for anyone made the ‘beneficiary’ of the latest theory or tool - as well my homage to the school that most closely approximates my dream school, Prof,. Pastor, Dr. Chancellor John Piper’s Bethlehem College and Seminary in Minneapolis.  And also, women’s desire to have children / babies, even without husbands, men’s desire to bear spiritual fruit with or without traditional fellowship.
5.
Masculinity in novels.  Not Norman Mailer Philip Roth stuff but novels that can lens reality from the top down and not get addicted to some or other cupidity or method of endearing / charming the audience, which often makes them stupider or causes them to regard hidden truth as an outright lie and/or triviality.  MJL’s ‘Free Food for Millionaires’ was pretty masculine; better is billionaire Michael Kim’s ‘Offerings,’ a novel I wish I could teach someone only I can’t find a good student / reader and maybe I myself missed the point and only thought I got it.
Thinking quitting while ahead - I really don’t know whether adding to people’s minds and knowledge at this point in Time is good or whether writing amounts to feasting the already glutted, furnishing them further excuses for disbelief and inaction and alienating / dividing them from the hungry and poor.  I like a song called ‘Love Song for No. 1.’  Remember talking about a walk in the woods I took, understanding something about the Other’s first language the authenticity of this language and its nativity to their understanding and ‘originary’ or ‘birth-mother’ identity or ‘self-system.’  Not something to tell your Anglo-but-ish-they-were-Teutonic biological parents because they will make like they want to backhand your head off then spend years denying they’re either racist, non-believers, or what I have come to call anti-believers; people who amid ‘Delta Covid Summer’ are trying to destroy the beliefs of others.  Also Dr. R.C Sproul Ligonier Ministries, ‘Forgetfulness is apostasy.’
6.
‘Flowers on Water.’  Kind of my homage to Krystal Jung Soojung of ‘hieroglyphic’ girl-group f(x) and later IMO excellent actress, her best moment perhaps the final episode of ‘My Lovely Girl,’ a shocking and awesome scene that appears to talk about Resurrection and Eternity.  The protagonist is another cynical edubusinessman who is thinking about mass-death, getting mad at mainstream American Christianity for singing songs while people were drowning, and finally on Google Books comes across a teacher-poem from 1881 titled ‘Flowers,’ for a group of rather hapless seemingly American Indian students in California as well as critiques of educational praxis which, in 1881, were identical to what they are today.  ‘God is sovereign in all things’ - such a difficult category.  I abandoned this novel for a number of reasons such as the belief that I might be able to reverse-engineer Brad Thor or something for a quick buck.  Went to Half Price Books (now closed) where they had a picture of the Jackson Five over the toilet in the men’s room.  I read a bit of a one-dollar Brad Thor book about Russia but on the way on home I once started once again dreaming mytically about Korean girls / women as it began to snow and thinking about ‘Lo How a Rose E’er Blooming’ (’Es Ist Ein Rosentsprungen) the German Nativity song which Michael Praetorius composed at least in part in response to the appalling Reformation Wars and out of a hope or wish that remembrance of Christ’s birth could somehow reunite the Church.  This also made me think about a high school I admire / respect and my old friend and his now-divorced wife with whom I many times fantasized about singing and talking with again; and whom I kind of wish I could tell the author of ‘All Quiet on the Western Front’ remarried his first wife eventually but IDK what good it is to give already-dreaming people more dreams either.
It’s 9:35 AM and my ‘insomnia’ type notebook-postings haven’t made me any new friends in a while.  My last thing is just, if you care about Education or young girls / American women / culture / schools, achievement, heroines, stories, or for that matter Bible-translation or the latter-day odysseys of the nominal Episcopalian Church, with trembling heart, try to reflect on Headmaster Josiah Bunting III’s ‘All Loves Excelling.’
One of my favorite Christian songs is ‘The Death of King David’
And God said that day shall dawn
to bring that flow’r newly born
from thy stem in fullness growing
in fragrance sweet night and morn
all My people shall adorn
with Breath of life bestowing
Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah

STRAY KIDS INSPIRE THEIR GENERATION TO PICK UP THE MIC
K-POP’S YOUNG DISRUPTORS NAVIGATE ADULTHOOD ALONGSIDE THEIR FANS
Stray Kids are fighting with their fans to determine who adores the other most. The fans started it, erupting into an impromptu chant inside Microsoft Theater in downtown Los Angeles: "We love you! We love you!," they shout, repeatedly. The sound is deafening, catching the boy band off guard. The eight members retaliate with their own impassioned chorus. "We love Stay," they respond, referencing their legions of international devotees. Both sides scream until, ultimately, Stray Kids admit defeat; they stand awkwardly onstage, apparently unsure how to receive the unrivaled adulation. Bang Chan, the Korean group's steadfast leader, looks around the venue in awe, while sensible vocalist Seungmin makes a heart with his hands and points to the crowd, resolved to have the last word.
This is not the first time Stray Kids has lost the battle of who-loves-who. It’s happened in cities across the United States, from New York to Dallas, amidst their District 9: Unlock world tour. It's canon, chiseled into the group's short but colorful history, alongside such viral moments as "Seungmin in the building" and "I'm not gonna leave you behind." Displays of affection between idols and fans are nothing new but, with Stray Kids, they’re never forced.
"It doesn't matter how old you are," Bang Chan tells the crowd mid-show, intensity building with every word. "It doesn't matter if you're a boy or a girl, or whoever you choose to be. It doesn't matter where you're from — everyone is welcome in our special district."
Two weeks prior to this performance, Stray Kids — Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin, and I.N — are gazing from a conference room in a Times Square skyscraper. The sky is gray, but that doesn't deter Hyunjin from posing for a series of selfies against the floor-to-ceiling window. As the lithe dancer works his angles, his bandmates are scattered throughout the room. Han props his phone against the room’s A/V controls to watch an anime; Bang Chan hunches over his own phone, thumbing the screen intently; Lee Know rests his eyes; and Australia-born Felix gossips about last night's Grammy Awards. Like any teen, he's obsessed with Billie Eilish, and her historic Grammys sweep is hard for him to fathom. "Can you believe it?" he says, eyes wide and sparkling. "She's only 18. It's amazing."
Tumblr media
But at 19, the deep-voiced rapper, whose delicate features betray his cherry-red hair, has similarly found success at a young age. Within a year of their 2018 debut, Stray Kids received 11 rookie awards and released five EPs. In fact, while Eilish and her brother Finneas were crafting homemade beats in a Highland Park bedroom, JYP Entertainment's tenacious boy wonders were honing their own unique sound in a small studio in Seoul, South Korea. Members Bang Chan, Changbin, and Han comprise the group's primary production trio, 3RACHA, and they've been making music together since their trainee days in 2017. Introspective early tracks like "Start Line" and "Runner's High" laid the foundation for Stray Kids' sonic identity: With the disruptive power of punk, they deliver astute, poignant lyrics about the bristly experience of growing up and its side effects.
"The things we worry about and the things Stay worry about — we share a lot of the same struggles," Han tells MTV News. "Even though our ambitions are different, we work hard just the same. It becomes our inspiration musically." As the creative force behind two of the group's more vulnerable cuts, "19" and "Sunshine," the 19-year-old rapper reveals his innermost thoughts and anxieties to the fans. But that honesty can be frightening.
Tumblr media
"It's nerve-racking for us," Bang Chan says. "Sometimes we think, 'If we talk about this, will people understand? Will they relate?' We're always thinking about how we can reach people through our lyrics because we want our music to help."
That empathy has been woven throughout their music from the beginning. Stray Kids’ first singles, the pre-debut track "Hellevator" and the darkly riotous "District 9," are full of angst and aggression, soundtracks for those who balk at societal pressures and follow their own rules. "My Pace" is an empowering anthem teeming with energy and affirmations. ("Don't compare yourself with others," Bang Chan sings on the hook. "It's OK to run slower.") Songs like "Voices" and "Side Effects" offer an intimate glimpse into the tumultuous mind of a young person still figuring out their place in the world, while "Miroh" and "Victory Song" are bursting with big sounds and youthful bravado.
youtube
"Young people today may feel a bit trapped, like you're constantly being told what to do and you feel like you can't speak for yourself," Bang Chan says. "So we want people our age to feel comfortable speaking out and talking about what they think."
By encouraging their fans to examine their own growing pains, to feel everything, they ensure that their message is never didactic. "All strayed steps come together to make a new road," they say at their concert. And with their latest release, "Levanter," off their sixth EP Clé: Levanter, Stray Kids come to the understanding that the journey is more meaningful than the destination, and the path ahead is ultimately theirs to define. So they double knot their shoelaces and dash full-speed ahead. "We might not know what the actual goal is, but as long as we're running hard and we're running as a group, whatever comes is going to be good anyway," Bang Chan says. "We just wish that a lot of people out there could listen to our music and get a lot of energy and hope from it."
Like 25-year-old Selina, who connects to their lyrics because she's "still on that journey of figuring out what I want to do and who I want to be," she says, clutching her Stray Kids light stick (a compass, now featuring Bang Chan's name written on the handle) outside of Microsoft Theater. Her friend Joseline, 18, likes that the members "have other priorities and interests outside of being a K-pop idol" that they reveal through daily Instagram posts, livestreams on the V Live app, TikToks, and weekly YouTube videos and vlogs. "He's not just Han from Stray Kids, he's Han Jisung — rapper, producer, and person," she adds.
Tumblr media
For Kambree, 17, the group has a "positive vibe" that makes her feel happy and accepted. "They make us feel like family, no matter who you are or what you look like," she adds. Her best friend Lexxie, 17, says Stray Kids "make me feel like I'm not alone with my issues." And So Yun, 30, finds their mix of "hard-hitting EDM" and "super angsty" lyrics reminiscent of the emo bands she listened to in high school. "It's the same rebellious spirit that I felt as a teen when you want to be your own person and figure out your own voice."
Their music has given Louis, 30, a newfound perspective. "I like the ['Levanter'] lyric, 'I want to be myself, I don't care' — that line resonates with me because we live in a society where people try to mold you, but at the same time, I just want to myself and at this point, I really don't care!"
Best friends Ella and Jazlynn, both 19, met online through their mutual love of Stray Kids, and they've customized their light sticks with glitters and holographic stickers of their favorite members' names. "Half of the group is technically my age, so I can look at them and see how successful they are, and it gives me inspiration to work harder," Jazlynn says, an I.N banner at her side. And while they do feel comforted by the authenticity in the group's songs, as Ella explains, it's who they are off-stage that many fans connect with most. "When you see Felix do the Renegade, it's like, 'I do that too!'"
Their ability to ignite the stage with powerful performances while staying true to themselves behind the scenes — as both K-pop's reigning meme kings and young men navigating adulthood — is what makes Stray Kids so relatable to a generation that experiences much of their lives online. "This generation is comfortable being alone," Changbin says. "We have our phones. We don't always need to be talking to each other to be together. Sometimes a text is fine."
And they're pretty normal, too. Bang Chan and Changbin watch videos from Tomorrowland and Ultra Music Festival to help clear their minds in the studio; the tracks "Road Not Taken" and "Stop" are the direct results of such self-care. Han's idea of a perfect day would be to "not come out of my room for 24 hours." If he could spend all day watching YouTube videos, he would. In fact, he says "Sunshine" was inspired by a scene in the Korean drama Boys Over Flowers, where the main characters travel to an idyllic private island. Though Han’s larger-than-life presence dominates the stage, he identifies as an introvert and admits he hopes to "overcome" his shyness. "On my ideal perfect day, I'd try new experiences and meet new people comfortably," he says. "You can do it!" Bang Chan adds, encouragingly.
Youngest member I.N makes time to go shopping, though he prefers to "chill" on his days off. And when Felix isn't playing video games or destroying kitchens with Seungmin, he frequents Seoul's finest dog cafes. "We have so many dog lovers in our group," he says, smiling. "I've been looking at a lot of dogs, and I feel like they help you feel better. I really want a dog with the team." Jisung points at Seungmin, whose nickname is "puppy," and Bang Chan adds, "We already have one." Seungmin scrunches his nose and says, "No way!" (But Han insists he's a "really bad boy.")
Meanwhile, Hyunjin, who’s known by fans for his theatrics and commanding stage presence is extremely open with his emotions. He frequents V Live, where he offers personal advice to viewers of his video series Hyunjin’s Counseling Center. But the 19-year-old admits that opening up to Stay has helped him, too. "I don't always have a lot of confidence," he says. “When I want to be comforted or when I’m feeling kind of sad, Stay are really good at consoling me. I want to be able to repay that comfort in full."
"The connection between Stay and Stray Kids would be family," Felix adds. Han jokes that they're the "annoying and mischievous" little brothers. But it's that sense of connection, among the group as well as with their fans, that has cemented Stray Kids as the vital voices of their generation.
Tumblr media
"The struggles we're going through — anxiety, stress, school, love — they tell us to take our time and see where our path leads," Selina says. "It's OK to stray from it. Just stay true to yourself. I always associate that with them. The idea of 'You Make Stray Kids Stay' is to find out what it is that grounds you and just keep going."
And Stray Kids don't plan to slow down any time soon. Having wrapped their Clé series at the end of last year with Levanter, 2020 offers an exciting fresh page for new musical experimentations, starting with the three original unit songs the group produced for the tour. "Wow" is a sexy R&B track from dancers Lee Know, Hyunjin, and Felix. It's also their first explicit love song. "We wanted to try a sexy song because it's a special stage," Hyunjin says, explaining that the dancers worked on their own lyrics in addition to helping with the slinky choreography. "We wanted to include moves that we haven't tried before," Lee Know adds, noting that they wanted something sexy and powerful. "So it was a new experience."
"My Universe," featuring vocalists Seungmin and I.N with an assist from Changbin, is a bright pop ballad. "I always wanted to try something like that," I.N says, eyes smiling. Seungmin tells Changbin from across the table, "Thanks for helping." And 3RACHA's "We Go" oozes confidence over a scorching trap beat. "We made 'We Go' last time we were here [in the United States]," Bang Chan says. "We made around three to four songs in one day… The performance is really fun as well. And those two [he points to Han and Changbin] got to have the chance to use Autotune live."
Tumblr media
They also released their first English singles in January, a process that rapper Changbin, known for his furious flow, calls "difficult." ("It was fun," Hyunjin argues beside him.) "I was listening to Changbin's rap [in 'Double Knot'] like, 'Why is this so fast? What am I going to write?'" Bang Chan says. "I tried to write it as easy as possible so that he could speak it well. I'm really glad that they could record it really well for me."
In March, they'll debut in Japan. And there's another mixtape project in the works, kicked off by the digital release of "Gone Days," a relaxed, Autotune-laced anthem for the "OK Boomer" generation. A play on the Korean word kkondae, it describes someone who pushes outdated ideas and expectations onto another based only on their age and status — and signals the arrival of a bold new direction. "I think [young people] now just need to be more comfortable with themselves," Bang Chan says of his inspiration for the track. "By being yourself, you never know what's going to happen."
"I always believe that one person can change the world," he adds. "So if you have a thought or an idea, just let it out. Because who knows? You can make the world a much better place."

LONELY CHRISTMAS [MIN YOONGI] | FAMILY GATHERINGS
Tumblr media
SUMMARY: Christmas has always been your second favorite holiday of the year, especially since you and your boyfriend Yoongi were literally inseperatable. Well, usually you were. But BTS gets more and more famous - world tours, award shows and other idol priorities making it almost impossible to spend this year’s Christmas with your second family.
WARNINGS: so much fluff, but also the dirty kind of smut. fingering, oral (male and female receiving), choking, spitting, raw sex (i dont need to say anything, do i?), switch!yoongi, switch!reader, fighting for dominance, Yoongi being meow meow but also rawr.
QUOTES USED: 2. “That’s the eggnog talking. I’m cutting you off.” 4.  “Don’t be such a Scrooge.” 6. “It’s snowing.” 7. “Open it.” 9. “I’m just happy you’re here.” 24.  “Is this the part where we kiss?” 31.  “Help me decorate.”
Now; Merry (early) Christmas, celebrate well & enjoy this filthy ride to hell.
Also, a big thanks to @holyfluffly, who spent her precious time reading through this & checking for any mistakes. ♥
Tumblr media
Since December started to come around – and you finally decided that it was time to stop binging on your favorite Halloween movies -, your house changed from spoopy graveyard to Rudolph’s shed. Fairy lights and beautiful garlands were hung up everywhere and once you plugged all your Christmas lights in, your house was lighter than “Son Goku in his final form”. At least that’s what Jungkook used to describe it when he first stepped into your winter wonderland. It was a tradition your boys always teased you with, but it was a tradition you brought with you from your home country that you wouldn’t want to miss. Your mother used to hang up lights everywhere, different Christmas shapes (you once had this weird reindeer light that looked more like a stabbed donkey, but… well) on every window and your balcony while she said “No matter how far apart we are, your light shines on me” – and 2 years after her death, was your most favorite thing to do once the calendar hit December. That, and ordering a shit ton of products from the LUSH and Bath and Body Works Christmas range. Jimin really loved the welcoming smell of cotton candy and gingerbread men, but Jin would sneeze when you sprayed all their pillows with the Snow Fairy body spray.
Usually, it was Taehyung’s favorite task to pick out a Christmas tree with you, decorating it with the entire family (that obviously consisted of all his band mates, their dogs and you), but this time it was just you, Tannie and Holly  walking around the tree field and picking a random one, much smaller than what  you’d usually get. There won’t be any presents underneath it anyway. Decorating wasn’t any fun, your Christmas playlist wasn’t helping, the smell of cotton candy wasn’t sweet enough. You made way too many Christmas cookies that wouldn’t be eaten. Your favorite pair of fuzzy socks had a huge hole in them and, oh well, your boyfriend wouldn’t be there for this year’s Christmas.
“Don’t be such a Scrooge, Y/N! It’s festive season!”, Jungkook yelled from somewhere behind Yoongi, energetic as always. “I wouldn’t be a Scrooge if my boyfriend and my friends would be here, celebrating the fest of love with me.” You mumbled quietly, a heavy sigh leaving your chest. It was currently the 17th of December, the first snow has fallen over Seoul, your fireplace crackling softly in the background. Yet, you were freezing. “Jagi, come on. It’s just another day of the year, we’ll be fine. We have New Year’s together, what’s the deal?” Your boyfriend didn’t care that much about festive traditions, hating the thought of Valentine’s Day or Halloween, not even speaking about the stress he always has around the Christmas season. For them, worldwide superstars, it was just another workday.
“You’re just happy you don’t need to wear one of our Christmas sweaters, huh?”, you scolded him, knowing his hate for the scratchy sweaters with the ugly patterns that you always made him and the boys wear for photos and your Christmas dinner at home. “Yeah, I won’t even start talking about those Rudolph ears you bought for our photo last year…”, Yoongi smirked. “I loved those!”, you vaguely heard the voice of Jimin in the background, Taehyung agreeing him on that. “I still wear those whenever I wash my face, thank you Y/N!” Sighing, you wished you were right there, with your loud and energetic boys, instead you were suffering on your own, the pout never leaving your lips.
“Boys, you’ve got 10 Minutes left!”, their tour manager interrupted your sulking, Yoongi nodding at him. “We’ll be right there.” He smiles at your pout, sticking out his bottom lip as well. “I’ll call you after the show, okay? Will you be still awake?” BTS was currently on world tour, playing somewhere in Europe and the time differences made it rougher than ever to talk to your boyfriend every day. You shrug, shivering under the thought of another sleepless night without your love, without the sounds of Taehyung and Jungkook fighting over some videogame and without the thought of Jin’s delicious breakfast to wake up to. “I guess I will, see you later, Yoongs. Bye Tae, bye Jungkook, bye Jiminie!”, you wave to the boys you considered family before smiling sadly at Yoongi. “Good luck, I’m sure you guys will rock that country! I love you.” “I love you too, Jagi. I’ll text you before I’m going to call you, okay? Try and rest.” “Bye, Noona!” Then the screen went black, all you could see was your own sad appearance in one of Yoongi’s oversized Hoodies.
Days went by, you didn’t have the chance to talk very much to Yoongi because of yours and their working schedule, they were currently in the States to record another hit song with some famous American singer that would explode on the Charts the second it comes out. Sure, you loved your boy’s music, you could listen to them sing and rap for hours, they worked hard and deserved all their success – but you didn’t wonder that all of them weren’t in a relationship. Tour life was hard, not only for their girlfriends but for them, too. A simple picture from across the world with a random girl could ruin relationships, just because of a misunderstanding. When you and Yoongi started dating a couple of years ago, Jin had a long-distance relationship – which already sucks for ‘normal’ human beings, but for worldwide superstars? A catastrophe because you couldn’t just come home to your significant other. It was over for them after a few months because she met a nice guy from her apartment complex, because he was there while Jin wasn’t. It was sad, especially for the Maknaes, because they needed affection, they needed their experience, they needed love. Instead, they had to have One Night Stands, making sure that those girls wouldn’t talk about their “night with BTS”. Truth be told it was too much work to find a girl to get laid, so they’d simply refuse, giving into their frustration and suffer from loneliness.
With Yoongi, things were easy. He didn’t get jealous whenever you hung out with other guys, but he also didn’t give you any reason to be jealous as well. People always describe him as “cold”, “depressed” or “weird guy that’s always quiet”, but once he warmed up to you, he was even funnier than Jin, his dry humor and loving gestures winning over your heart immediately. He was a family person, loving to be in a cozy home surrounded by his bandmates and you, even if he’d never say that out loud, all of them knew it. Yoongi was a loving person, whether he was showing it or not.
The 20th December rolled around quicker than you thought, last minute presents were bought, the house completely decorated and one Christmas movie after the other was playing on TV – but you were still sulking. “You didn’t even help me decorate! I had to do all of that by myself!”, you switched your phone camera so you could show Jimin how beautiful the living room looked, smiling at his little pout. “Noona!”, he whined, “Don’t be angry, okay? I promise you I’ll decorate for New Year’s all by myself.” “Don’t worry, Jiminie, it’s not your fault you can’t be here. Where’s Hobi? I’m watching his favorite Christmas movie, but I can’t get in the mood without my sunshine.” Jimin looks around, his lips twitching, but he remained quiet. “Jimin?” “He’s… uhhhh… He’s doing stuff with Yoongi and Tae?” You raise an eyebrow at him, taking another sip of the creamy eggnog you ordered online because it was nowhere to be found in Seoul. “Are you lying, Jiminie?” “No, but… Oh, Jungkook calls for me, bye Noona!” Sighing, you dropped your phone aside, head tilting towards the window while a soft smile appeared on your lips. It’s snowing.
On the 24th December, the boys had their last official concert of the year – in Australia. A 13-hour flight away, plus the two-hour time difference that made your heart sink, because whenever you were ready to call Yoongi, he was already too tired because of the concert and travel exhaustion. As one of the idol’s girlfriend, it was basically your job to watch their performances, you streamed all of them, no matter what time it was in your time zone, but it wasn’t as good as it would be when you were there. You loved going to their concerts, not standing backstage to watch the show, no. You preferred going into the crowd, singing and dancing along with ARMYs from around the world and watching your family from down there, enjoying their glow and sensual performances from a fan’s perspective. But today, it was just you and your laptop, watching the stream in your bed, a cup of your favorite tea beside you, Tannie on your lap and Holly somewhere besides you under the blanket, asleep like always. A smile was plastered on your face as you saw that all of them were wearing those “stupid Rudolph ears” – even if Yoongi looked grumpier than ever. You were fascinated as always – how could those cute little boys turn into Korean gods within two seconds? Of course, the Maknaes were the center of attention, fans chanting for them, dancing and screaming – you couldn’t deny the fact that they looked great, but exhaustion was plastered on all of their faces. Your eyes were plastered on the smol bean that caught your heart and as if he knew, he smiled into the camera, giving it a finger heart.
The 25th December was rough, you didn’t even want to get out of bed, staying under the covers for several hours after waking up. There was no reason so get up if there wasn’t anyone to give presents to. You didn’t use your phone, watching The Nightmare before Christmas again because if you acted like it was still Halloween, you wouldn’t be as sad that you were alone on your second favorite holiday of the year. It was around 12pm when the two dogs came into your room, whimpering because you didn’t take them out yet. “Ugh, fine, fine. Let me grab my shoes and we’ll go out”, you mumbled groggily while heaving your tired body out of bed. Pulling your slippers over your cold toes as you tied your hair out of your face. You didn’t plan to go out for too long, so you didn’t even try to make yourself look good. Humming the movie’s soundtrack, you made your way downstairs, surprised by the warm scent of cinnamon and vanilla that filled the house. “Huh, did I leave my candles on?” With furrowed eyebrows you  check the living room, not wanting to burn the entire house down on Christmas, but you stood still in shock when you realized why it smelled just the way it did.
Jimin and Jin were busy in the kitchen, baking cookies and cooking up your Christmas dinner. Jungkook and Taehyung were building a giant gingerbread house while Namjoon sat besides them, frustrated over his own ruined house laying in broken pieces. Hobi placing all of the presents underneath the Christmas tree while Yoongi sat on the couch, Holly on his lap and a loving smile on his face as he saw you in your sleepy state with a frown on your face. “Merry Christmas, babe.”
Suddenly, seven pairs of eyes were on you, smiles beaming across the entire room and seconds later you were caught in a warm, cozy group hug. “Surprise, Noona!”, Jungkook beamed as he pressed a kiss on your cheek, receiving a flip against his forehead from Yoongi. “Lips away, you can kiss Taehyung, not my girl.” Taehyung’s cheeks burned a bright red, Jungkook looked away while biting his lips and Jimin just smirked but pressed you tight against his body. “We’re glad to be back.” Jin groaned, pulling you out of the hug. “Let that poor girl alone, she needs to collect her thoughts first. Look at her”, he pointed towards your face, shock still written across it as you looked into each of your boys’ faces. “You… I mean, how… You were… Australia?” Your boyfriend laughed, now pulling you into a tight hug while burying his nose in your hair, inhaling the familiar scent that always calmed him down. “We’re here, that’s all that matters.” “We took the first plane back home, but we’ve been waiting for you to get up since 9AM, what did you do? It’s Christmas, usually you’d set an alarm at 6AM to run and check your presents”, Hobi pouted, pointing towards the tree.
“I didn’t have a reason to be up, so I watched The Nightmare before Christmas. But now, I’m just happy you’re here”, you smiled fondly at all of them, “Open your presents. Especially you, Babe. Open it!” You clap your hands excitedly, jumping up and down as you hand them their presents: a big, soft blanket for Jimin, so he can roll himself up in it and be cozy the entire holidays. A new Japanese knife for Jin, because Namjoon broke his favorite knife when he tried to cut through a book – don’t ask, nobody knows why he did that. Namjoon got a new KAWs figure he didn’t have the chance to buy yet while Hoseok got a new Palm Angels hoodie. Taehyung and Jungkook got some games for their PlayStation and a set of new controllers, because… well, Jungkook tends to destroy them when he’s in a rage. Yoongi’s present was hard to find because he basically has everything he wants and you weren’t too familiar with all those high end music technologies that you could give him, so you decided on a spa weekend over the holidays, just the two of you in a fancy wellness resort. Exactly what he needed after that tour. “Y/N, you must be poor by now! I should have gotten you a gift card or something”, Taehyung pouted, “You spent way too much on our presents!” You smiled, shaking your head and pressed a soft kiss on his cheeks. “Everything for my family. You’re all that I have left.”
The day went by way too fast; a fabulous Christmas buffet was set up by Jin, eggnog and wine handpicked by the youngest Maknae and Christmas movies of Jimin’s choice made up for all the days you spent sulking in your room. “I love you guys so much. I can’t believe you surprised me like that! Ugh, I really thought I had to spend Christmas with just the dogs.” You placed your head on Yoongi’s shoulder, cuddling deeper into the soft material of his hoodie while he rubbed your shoulder. “That’s the eggnog talking, love. You’re the anchor of our little family, we couldn’t be apart from you over the holidays, Jungkook would’ve driven us crazy and Namjoon would set the hotel on fire while trying to light a Christmas candle”, Yoongi mumbled. “A Christmas wonder! Yoongi confessed his feelings! Tweet that, Namjoon!”, Hoseok yelled while earning a slap on the back of his head from Jimin. “Don’t scare him, he’s like a deer right now, if we just ignore it, maybe he’ll say something nice about us too!” Yoongi just rolled his eyes, pulling you closer toward his small frame while mumbling “Idiots”.
It was past  midnight, your tummies filled with delicious snacks and desserts, brain fogged because of the amount of alcohol all of you drank that day – and you were just happy to finally be in bed with your boyfriend again. “You know how lonely the nights were without you? Not just you, but also the boys. I even missed Jungkook’s animal imitations”, you sighed, “I missed breakfast, without Jin all I ate was toast and cucumbers. I’m lucky to be part of your family.” Yoongi smiled, a precious, rare smile that showed all his love for you.
“I had time to think on tour, you know. It’s rough, you not being there with me, I saw all those places, cities and famous buildings, but didn’t have you to share those moments with. I had dinner with Taehyung right in front of the Eiffel Tower, I shared a Pizza in Venice with Jungkook, had beer with Hoseok in Berlin, but I wish I had all those moments with you, love. So, I’m bad at this stuff, you know that. The entire world knows that, but you also know that I love you. And I wish you could be the person by my side on tour, on every tour. I wish you could be my +1 at events, dinner parties or during award shows. I even talked to our management, because an ‘official girlfriend’ is dangerous for all of us. But I didn’t want the world to meet you as my girlfriend, Y/N. I want them to finally meet you as my wife, the woman that won’t ever leave my side. This is probably trashy and I could use better opportunities for that, but… Y/N, my love, my flower, my angel, would you marry me?” Yoongi, the smooth guy he was, pulled out a simple yet beautiful rosé gold ring – without a box – from the pocket of his sweats, sitting in front of you on your bed, crossed legs and a nervous smile on his face. You couldn’t hide the pout on your face, lips quivering and tears dwelling in your eyes while you looked at the beautiful man in front of you, the beautiful ring in his hands and outside, snowflakes fall from the sky. Everything was perfect. “Yoongi… Yes! Fuck, of course!”, you jumped into his lap, not caring about the pling your engagement ring made when it fell to the floor, because right now, your fiancé was more important. You showered his face in kisses, not caring the slightest about the grumpy noises he made – even if they were fake, because he was just as happy as you were. His smile was beautiful, something you didn’t see that much because he seldom smiled so brightly even his bottom teeth were showing. “Is that the part where we kiss?”
You didn’t hesitate to press your lips onto his, soft and loving, sweet and tender. “Min Yoongi, is that the part where you turn into the sweet little kitten your fandom thinks you are?” Smirking, Yoongi growls at you, showing you his teeth once more. “Oh baby, I’m going to show you that nothing on my body is little.” His lips were back on yours, his hands buried in your hair as he made his way between your legs, almost crushing you with the comfortable weight of his body on yours. Whatever loving, sweet innocent kiss you shared before, this one was completely different. It gave way to heated passion as you both continue the lustful, erotic exchange. Yoongi’s shaking but skilled hands started to peel off your ugly Christmas sweater and the rest of your clothes, falling to the floor forgotten, before he gently bites along your jaw and the nape of your neck, leaving a trail of love bites on the way down there. Your moans fill the room that still smells like cinnamon and cotton candy, combined with Yoongi’s musky scent and the sweet scent of a heated make-out session. With his lips still attached to your soft skin, you take the opportunity to catch him off guard and flip both your bodies into a new position; you now straddling his slim waist. Yoongi’s lips widened in shock, then turned into a bright smirk. “Someone’s feisty.” You just smile at him sweetly, cutting off his words as you wrap your hands around his beautiful throat, leaning your face towards his ear. “I wouldn’t speak  like that in such a position, Babe.”
Yoongi’s voice hitched, “Y/N”, he whined. The same hand that restricted his airways comes up to slightly slap his scruffed cheek, but it had still enough force to leave a sting that reminded him not to speak up anymore. “Aren’t you going to be a good boy? Or should I call you a good little kitten? Would you like that?” He shakes his head quickly, baring his teeth once more. “Shut that, love. You won’t be able to tame a lion. I’m not a small kitten.” He knows he could switch positions any time, hell, you knew that too. But you also knew that he enjoyed that position  too much to change anything now. Shaking your head in displeasure, you crawl down the bed to be at eye level with his beautiful cock. The cock  that had you limping almost every night, that never fails to give you pleasure, that already sends tingles to your core. Your hands were cold against the prominent vine that ran from his shaft to his leaking tip, red and sensitive as you licked your finger to circle around it. Tiny moans – mewls – left his mouth, causing you to giggle. You knew it. His balls were tight, full and hurting. He was away for so long, having almost no time to pleasure himself. You cooed, the other hand coming up to gently play with them, rolling them around as you kept applying pressure to his tip. Yoongi’s groans got louder and louder once your mouth was finally working its magic on him, his hands buried inside the loose strands of your hair, trying to shove you down deeper. Much to your displeasure.
You hissed, letting go of his length as you crawled up to sit on his toned chest. Smiling, you slid your fingers through your soaked folds, holding them in front of his sweaty face. “Suck.” Oh, and how he sucks. His tongue working circles around your digit, collecting your sweet juices as he hums happily. “You’re my toy. A fucking toy, do you understand that? You don’t get to make rules here, Yoongi. If I want to suck your cock, I’ll do it how I want, not how you want it. Or did I miss something?” You made sure his eyes never left yours, fingers still inside his  mouth – and you just decided to shove them down a bit deeper, making him gag around them just like he wants you to gag around his cock. “I asked you something, pretty babe. Mind answering?” Yoongi hums again, not able to speak with your fingers down his throat, but it was good enough of a try for you. It wasn’t every day you got the chance to dominate Min Yoongi, you were sure to getting everything out of it. You pulled your now wet digits out of his mouth, wiping away his spit somewhere in his mint colored hair, as you turned around to sit on his face, just like he loves you to do. By now, his only problem was holding back his load, eating your pussy wouldn’t help with that though. “Now, are you going to cum for me, precious? While devouring my pussy? I bet you’d like that, huh?” Yoongi hums again, his hands already on your ass to spread your cheeks, allowing him to dive deep into your pussy, drinking your juices, slurping them down like a fine, ripe wine. Teasingly, you continued to jerk him off, enjoying the tension in his body, his concentration on your pussy rather than his own orgasm. “Mh, wait. I changed my mind. Hold it, you don’t have my permission just yet”, you laughed as you squeezed his balls – but he wasn’t able to control it or hold it back. His cock twitched uncontrollably, one small rope of cum leaving the tip. “Ugh, look at that”, you sighed while shaking your head, sitting down deeper on his face – your ass now flat against his forehead as his tongue, the oh so famous rapper tongue, worked its wonders.
If Yoongi was frustrated, he didn’t show it. He knew better. Even though it was his first real orgasm in weeks, his first ruined orgasm in weeks, he stood up the man he was and continued what he was here for. Pleasuring his fiancé. Just before your orgasm arrived, you crawled down again, collecting the small puddle of cum with your tongue and fed it to your soon to be husband. You let him taste himself, he swallowed greedily. “Such a good boy”, you purr while wiping the sweat from his forehead. “Now, I hope you know who you belong to.” Yoongi just nods, licking his lips to still taste you. “Tell me who you belong to, Yoongi”, you command.
“You, babe. Only you. I belong to you”, Yoongi moans out as you started to grind against his smooth thigh, picking up your desired pace as you used him to satisfy your own desire. His hands were on your hips, guiding you and helping you to speed up, but just before your orgasm reached his peak, just one little rock of your hips missing, he turned you around, leaving you with a ruined orgasm as well. “Fucking son of a bi-“, your frustration interrupted by Yoongi’s teeth biting into your nipple, his hand smacking your other tit. “Oh, that’s not a nice word, baby”, he pouts while pinching both of your erect buds with a bit too much force. A sharp stinging sensation radiating through your body. “Fuck, Yoongi”, you moaned, desperate for release. “Now, now”, he tzed as he looked down at your trembling body. “Sucks to be played with, huh?” Elegant fingers started to rub circles into your swollen nub, your body rising from the mattress just to be pushed back by your fiancé. “Still”, he orders, plunging two of his long, delicate fingers into your dripping hole. Yet, you needed more. “Yoongi”, you whined. “Are you going to be a good girl now? Instead of a fucking brat?” “Yes!”, you cried out, tears running down your cheeks, hoping he’d just do something. “Good, because bad girls disgust me”, he spoke through clenched teeth as he pulled out his fingers and shoved his cock inside you within seconds. “Fuck fuck fuck, yes!”
“Shut up! Or do you want the boys to come in and join you, huh? You want our little Maknae see how stuffed you are?” Yoongi always knew about your affection for Jungkook, the way his doe eyes always make your heart jump, leaving it impossible to deny whatever he wanted from you while addressing you as his ‘favorite Noona’. You were weak for him, but you wouldn’t want him to see you in such a situation. Shaking your head in shame, you pout as you dig your heels into his ass to get him to move faster. “Make me cum, please. I love you”, you whine, word for word leaving your lips as he thrusts deep and powerful into your clenching hole. Just before another beg could leave your lips, Yoongi’s index finger slipped past them, your chin securely trapped between his thumb and middle finger. His other hand slowly found its place on your neck. “Look at you”, he smiles. “Such a good girl, knowing how to beg like a big girl.” You whimper again, squeezing around him as he slowed his pace with a devilish smirk. Your lips played with the tip of his finger while the thumb of his other hand came down to circle your clit painfully slow, spitting onto it and watching his finger mixing it with your arousal. Your eyes rolled into the back of your head, both of your hands gripping the wrist that was choking you. “Tighter, please”, you gasped out, enjoying the feeling of almost no air coming to your lungs. Oh, how Yoongi loved to see you struggle for air, just as much as you loved to be on the receiving end. “You gonna come for me, angel?”, he growled as he tightened his grip, already feeling his own orgasm approaching. “Going to cum around my thick cock, huh?” You nod, already seeing spots in your vision, your orgasm shooting through your body just like a firework as soon as Yoongi released you, allowing the blood to shoot back into your head. You couldn’t control your body anymore, gushing against him as you rode out your high with closed eyes. That alone triggered Yoongi’s orgasm, a loud scream leaving his lips as he finally released inside you. “Fuck, you squirted all over me”, he groaned while looking at the mess you made, his stomach glistering in your juices. “I don’t care, I want to snuggle my Grinch now”, you pouted with grabby hands, smiling happily as Yoongi obeyed.
“I think we lost the ring somewhere between our clothes”, Yoongi mumbles with his sleepy voice, “I hope Taehyung won’t find it, he was the one that chose it – ‘If Y/N says no, I’ll wear that one happily’.” Suddenly you’re wide awake, knees on the floor and digging through your clothes to find the symbol of your love. “Got it!”, you yelled as you threw it to Yoongi, holding your left hand in front of his face. “You’ve got the honor, babe.” Smiling, he slid the ring over your finger. The black diamonds sparkling in the dim light of your room, the rosé gold complimenting your skin tone perfectly, just like the man in front of you does. Your fiancé, soon to be husband, the love of your life. “Merry Christmas, love.”

Despite knowing all of her members’ secrets, she had a hard time in telling people of her problems and feelings. Most of the time she keeps to herself where her depression becomes worse.
Chae has had depression and anxiety ever since she was young. Sometimes it became very serious but sometimes she overcame it.
Her depression reached its peak during 2011 to the point that during a performance for her fanmeeting, she slowly attempted to jump off a platform that held her high above the stage. Thankfully she stopped herself by gripping the handpost.
She is the strongest pillar of super junior despite her anxiety.
In 2008, a group of people started an organization to make her leave the group and give her a lot of hate. With the name Only Male. Her supporters were already big at that time so they sued the organization and got them to leave Chae alone.
During Eunhyuk’s scandal with IU in 2012, she protected Eunhyuk against very malicious comments.
She even let the management reveal her and Lee Seunggi’s dating news just so Eunhyuk won’t get the hate. And it came out badly. Chae got all of the hate especially for being together with the nation’s younger brother who had a very innocent image in contrast to her rebellious and sexy image.
Though Chae didn’t care. She was glad Eunhyuk didn’t get hate about it as more.
In an episode of Exploration of the human body, Chae was tasked to get the tears of each of her groupmates. (that was when they still promoted with hangeng, 2008) Surprisingly with the hidden camera prank her and her manager did the members all cried quickly without knowing about the prank.
