In regards to your post about Marcy’s arc, if your right-that marcy got nothing out of her time in amphibia-shouldn’t she hate the place, or at least not want to be associated with it?
Plus, why would she take a career that allows her to engage in escapism and is probably not what her parents wanted, when her whole are is about escapism being bad and that she needs to obey her parents.

for your first point-- I think marcy has a lot of conflicting feeling towards amphibia, and towards her own experiences in it. and I want to correct my words-- I do think marcy got something out of amphibia, but it was absolutely NOT what she was looking for, nor did it benefit her or her overall growth in the way that it did for anne and sasha. amphibia showed marcy that her actions have consequences-- brutal consequences. it gave her the step she needed to confront her major flaw of being unable to let go-- which manifested in her always running away. amphibia was where marcy learned that you do eventually have to let go of some things. life does not always go the way you want it to, unfortunately. marcy had to face the things she was running away from in order for her to properly move forward.
also, at the end of the series, marcy learned that she will never truly be alone-- anne and sasha will be there for as long as they are able to-- whether that's in person, in spirit, or through phone calls + the internet. marcy needed the reassurance of their love, that they do care about her, in order to take that extra push and go home with them. does that contradict the whole theme of letting go? perhaps, but learning to let go doesn't mean that you have to let go of everything-- it just means that you have to come to terms with the fact that things will come in and out of your life sometimes. it also doesn't make what you had less real-- in fact, it makes it that much more special. because you're acknowledging the fact it existed, and that you truly cherished the time that you spent with them. THAT'S what marcy learned. her true arc was not that escapism is bad, but more so that you can not run away from certain things. not without bringing yourself (and the people around you) a world of bad. once she realized that anne and sasha are not leaving-- not in the way that she thinks-- that's how she was able to let go. and that's how their friendship can still exist and still grow even after years of on-and-off contact after the move. *** as for her career, the girls likely coped with their experiences-- both good and bad-- in different ways. you can also see how their experiences in amphibia shaped the people they are now. sasha became a child psychologist. anne became a herpetologist. marcy became a comic artist.. not because she's still engaging in the same kind of escapism, but because she's using that escapism as a healthy outlet. no longer is marcy running away-- rather, she's taking charge of her own life and doing the things that SHE wants to do. you have to remember-- escapism as a concept isn't bad, per say. escapism only becomes unhealthy when it hinders your own life, or negatively impacts the people around you. we all indulge in a form of escapism from time to time in some way, shape, or form-- our favorite books, movies, TV shows, etc etc. even though marcy's still getting lost in fantasy worlds-- they're ones that she creates, and not because she's trying to run away from anything, rather, fantasy worlds and creativity have always been a part of who marcy wu is. amphibia wasn't marcy's first taste of escapism-- nor was it the last-- it was just the most unhealthy and prominent one. and marcy likely worked on fixing her relationship with fantasy and figuring out the limits of her escapist tendencies. especially when it becomes necessary to ground yourself back to reality. marcy has always gotten lost in fantasy worlds-- it's a core part of her established personality. if she can express it in healthy ways, why would it be a negative trait? lastly, about her parents, I honestly don't know much about the wus besides what we were given in canon. do I think the way they handled breaking the news to her was absolutely not the right way to go about it? YES! do I think she may have a slightly rocky relationship with them? also yes.. sort of. but by the end of the series, marcy is an adult. her parents should really have 0 say as to what she wants to do with her life at that point. and while we can see that they seem to value more.. traditional career paths (at least from the subtext of the show), I definitely don't think that was what the writers wanted to close marcy's story on. marcy, in my opinion, didn't move for her parents-- she moved because that was the culmination of her arc. she started the series running away from the move, and ended it with the intentions of making things right-- starting by going through with the move. marcy, by that point in the series, knew that her friendship with anne & sasha was unbreakable-- and that was her main reason as to why she opposed it in the beginning. this allowed her to walk out of the skin of her old self, towards a new beginning. and who knows? perhaps marcy wu flourished in massachusetts. I'm content with epilogue marcy. to me at least, she looks very happy.

Has there ever been a comic or text post that you made and wondered if you crossed the line just a bit before posting? Primarily with the sex stuff regarding the Calamity Trio?
Yes and no. I tend to keep things somewhat pg-13 with my stuff. The worst I did worry was a comic back when the show was still on, it was Anne having a dream about Sasha and Marcy where they were being seductive and confessing their feelings for her and then she wakes up and realizes that she is in love with her friends. That one I was worried about but it turned out okay.
There’s a few of the pinup comics for my oc Leilana that I worry about as well on if I take it too far. Luckily I have someone who I run it by when it’s still an idea or a rough sketch and see if they think it’s too sexy or not (often times I’m told that I don’t have to censor tits or stuff if it’s drawn due to tumblr’s nsfw rules but I still censor a bit just to be safe)
Since I’m not confident in drawing nsfw, the most I can do is pinups, I don’t usually do full on sex or nudity. I’ll joke about or allude to it but drawing it is something I’m not sure I can properly draw and so I find ways to tell the joke(s) another way.

Screen Rant Article
So "Screen Rant" has an article out regarding which ten "dead" characters are most likely to make a cameo appearance in TWD final episodes. The FIRST character mentioned was BETH. It seems odd to me she would be predicted ahead of Glenn and Carl. In addition, the article mentions her close ties to Maggie and Daryl, alluding to a romantic relationship with Daryl, and mentions she appeared in the show from S2 until she was "shot in the head by Dawn". It does not say KILLED by Dawn, just shot in the head. Maybe not important, but ??????

The thing is, all the others listed are really interesting as well. Most are related to Beth and her storyline in some way, or have at least served as proxies to her at some point. Siddiq is probably the most random, imo, which just tells me this is coming from tptb. No one just "guessing" independent of the show would come up with him as a possibility. But remember, he was also in Michonne's hallucination on the island, and I thought that was kinda random, too. So, something about Siddiq is still relevant.
It's also interesting to note how many of these played a part in Rick's hallucination. (Sasha, Abraham, Beth.) Or were in other hallucinations, specifically in 5x09 (Tyreese, Beth, the Governor). Just super interesting in terms of what might be coming our way in 11c.
And it's so fun because this is the kind of thing we've always predicted. That we'd see her in some way that still makes the audience think she's dead…and then she'll show up alive. SOO excited over here! 😀
It's funny because the other day, I posted the second half of @galadrieljones' morphic resonance theory, and she kind of talked about this. Not this specifically, but you talk about possibilities of Daryl having some sort of future dream like Lexmas or like Rick and Michonne did. If this article is correct (and I'm sure it will be in some iteration) then it seems they'll definitely be doing this sort of thing.

I do think we'll see most if not all these characters mentioned during the last 8 episodes. I just believe it will be during Judith's monologue which supposedly will begin each episode and highlights the previous seasons. This will be a nod to the comic book and Carl telling the story at the end. The thing that surprises me like you is Beth being the first on the characters list. It's my understanding that Herschel had several children, several daughters none of which was named Beth. Beth is uniquely to TWD TV series as is Daryl. I'm hoping that she will be mentioned in a conversation between Daryl and Maggie. Of course I hope that we will actually see Beth alive sometime during the 8 episodes. It's really almost hard to believe that by this time next week we will know the first two episodes.

1, 3, and 17 from the Writer Asks?
1. What font do you write in? Do you actually care or is that just the default setting?
It depends on what I’m writing! For instance, for fan fics, like my current Desolation!Jon TMA fic WIP, I usually write in Comic Sans cause it makes words flow easier. I’m not incredibly great with grammer and all that so it helps me pick out the mistakes I made during edits. For the script for my comic, In Harmony, and for the tentative podcast I’m writing, I’ve been using Courier New, mostly just for that easy to read script format. For Not Quite Somewhere Else and The Shepherd of Oblivion, I write the script as I’m drawing pages so the font is just my handwriting, oops.
3. What is your writing ritual and why is it cursed?
It’s one that I am kind of readopting from my writing habits back when I wrote so much Far Cry 5/ Far Cry New Dawn fan fiction, but I used to write in the break room at my last two jobs before my shift started because I had to walk to work, but since I started driving and got a new job I don’t do that anymore and haven’t written a lot of fics or scripts because of it. I’m trying to get back into the habit now that I’m back at school by writing in the cafe during breakfast cause apparently I can’t concentrate on writing work unless I have a cup of coffee with me.
17. Talk to me about the minutiae of your current WIP. Tell me about the lore, the history, the detail, the things that won’t make it in the text.
I can do this with my Desolation!Jon fic since besides maybe doodles and small comics and/or fics I don’t really wanna write another long fic for this, especially since I’m already working on Not Quite Somewhere Else. But the whole fic is a statement from Martin about how he met Jon in Bournemouth during a vacation he took back when he worked at the Institute’s library. A lot of people liked that comic piece I did about Eye!Agnes and Desolation!Jon, so I decided to actually write Martin’s statement. I won’t go into the full details about how they met and stuff cause thats for the fic, but after the events in the statement, Jon and Martin still kept seeing each other (even if they’re technically not going out by the time Jon and Agnes meet). At the Institute, most of the S1 cannon still happens, except Agnes is Archivist and she doesn’t have the same insecurity issues that S1 Jon had, so Martin’s experience with Jane doesn’t happen. However, around the time the S1 finale happens, Agnes has assigned Martin enough statements regarding Jon that Martin makes a statement of his own, along with a request for her to stop assigning him to anything that might be related to Jonathan Sims as he’d rather have Jon tell him these things himself with his own volition instead of digging into his personal life for his job. Sasha still gets taken by the NotThem and eventually Agnes finds out from Melanie that she got replaced. Unlike S2 Jon, Agnes tells Tim and Martin that Sasha got replaced and Martin suggests that Agnes goes to Jon for help. That’s pretty much all the details I came up with this AU, other than the fact that both Jon and Agnes still have the same experiences with the Web, Agnes’s just happens in the 90s and Jon’s in the 50s/60s. Jon’s grandmother also was a member of the Lightless Flame and had a hand in killing his parents. And I think thats everything?

So yes we finally went to see the Flash this past Tuesday (July 4th) and yes of course there was some collectable goodies to go with it which you can see here.
but as for the movie itself I don't see what the problem is with this movie? I personally thought it was great and so did a few others that I went with Now one of the people I went with they didn't really grasp what was going on in it and before we went to see it I has to kinda quickly explain the basic story/idea of Flashpoint to them being they are a comic book person. but other then that everyone else seemed to love it
So I don't know why it is getting so much hate I can't see it. I know some people have been angry that it was not identical to the Flashpoint comics story line and to that I would say that its not suppose to be and that's true it is loosely based on aspects of the Flashpoint story and you are dealing with the movie universe and the complains that I heard regarding source material makes me of this
"If you want to experience something identical to the source material, then go reread the source material. Adaptations are not meant to cater only to those who are fanatically enamored of the original work. Copying a novel or comic book word for word, note for note, scene for scene to film is no guarantee that even the fanbase will be satisfied. Some elements are there, others are changed, some left out, new ones are added."
Now like I said I thought the movie was absolutely great!! I in fact loved it. I would say I enjoyed it alot from the opening action scene with Batman (Affleck) and the "Baby Shower" to the final showdown in the "Crono Sphere" with the "Dark Flash" and a rather shocking ending.
One thing I feel about this movie is it comes off of the heels of Zack Snyder's Justice League like I feel that you should watch that before you watch this being that the flash scenes in that are related to some of the story in this like they seem to reference some of those flash scenes in Zack Snyder's Justice League in this movie Like this movie takes place a couple of years after the events of Zack Snyder's Justice League like this is a follow up to that.
The movie does have alot of action but I do feel that it is a lighter more fun movie there is alot of humor and funny moments in this which is good being I have always seen the Flash as a bit of a action comedy and I can say that the movie is a visual spectacle it also full of heart and the humor and the drama/seriousness balance out great.
I do have to say Ezra Miller is great in this role as Barry Allen/The Flash I feel that this movie give him a moment to shine as this character becasue we didn't get to see much of him in other stuff outside of Justice League besides a few cameos so I feel that he did a great job with this role and he took it and ran with it (pun intended). Now with that said if I was casting the character I don't know if I would have chosen Ezra Miller I always though Ryan Reynolds would have made a great Barry Allen. but I do feel that Ezra Miller does a great job as this character and I feel that the Flash as a character matures through out the movie where he is like a acting like a kid at the first of it and is a mature adult guy by the end. Like he learns life lessons and things about himself and that choices especially selfish ones can have serious consequences and I fell that he is a better stronger person by the end of the movie
I also have to say Michael Keaton returning as a older Bruce Wayne was awesome he truly is Batman. He was amazing every time he was onscreen you just love watching him in this role and it was awesome to bring him back for his it was pure nostalgic fun.
Now as for Sasha Calle as Kara Zor-El aka Supergirl she isn't really in it alot at least I didn't really think so but the screen time she has is pretty awesome I thought she did an amazing job with this character and I was very pleased with what they did with her
and of course Michael Shannon as the returning Zod was again perfect and everyone else who was in this was excellent.
I did hear people complain about the visuals but I had nothing wrong with the visuals I thought it was all really cool and really interesting how they did everything in regards to their depiction of Time Travel and the idea of the Multiverse
I have to say the Multiverse sequence was amazing!! the cameos and the references were in my opinion perfect!! I loved them! and I felt like they were done with absolute love and respect to the actors and characters that came before and also I was so happy that we finally got Nicolas Cage's Superman fighting a giant spider on the big screen when I seen that I gasped and was smiling ear to ear
but yeah I thought the movie was truly great! I personalty think it is up there with Spider-Man: No Way Home I know people will disagree/debate me on that but that is my opinion and that is how I feel and if you don't like it that's tough! I just feel bad that people won't give it a fair chance I was excited for it and waited for it and I happily went to see it and I enjoyed it. I believe everyone should make up their own mind about it but first you have to see it to do that. but anyway like I said I enjoyed it
also yes there is a after credits its a funny bit with Aquaman so stay around for that.

Attack on Titan SFW Romantic HQs

Attack on Titan isn’t the first series which comes to mind when I think of ‘Wholesome’. However, I shall take it upon myself to relay some general romantic head-canons involving some of AOT’s characters! This effeminate-looking blonde is obviously among the kinder members of the AOT cast. (Let us ignore the fact that he destroyed an entire port, killing an inconceivable number of innocents, children included.) …Anyways! If we put all that aside and fixate on his usually soft and innocent nature, there’s actually quite a lot of potential regarding fluffy head-canons for our lovely and cute island devil!!
For one, I believe that Armin would never ask go out of his way to approach and ask out someone which he has a crush on. He’s simply be too anxious to ever consider doing such a thing, even if Mikasa or Eren attempted to push him into doing it. Often times, the token of his affection would observe and notice how the cute boy blushes when they’re around, yet says nothing. He probably often engages in that glance and look away thing. (Look at your crush, they look at you, you swiftly turn away!)
In general, Armin strikes me as the blushy type, as he’d grow flustered and embarrassed quite easily. He often gets lost within his own head. That big brain of his likely fixated on the hundreds of things that could go wrong if he were to confess to someone he’s into. Mister Arlert would think things such as ‘What if he/she says no?? That’d likely make things awkward from now on…’ Sometimes when he blushes, Armin. shuts his eyes, squeezing them as tightly as possible. Along with the blushing and closed eyes, he occasionally allows an adorable, embarrassed whine to escape himself.
I imagine that handholding is among the things which flusters Armin. His palms would likely become all sweaty. This only serves to further up his anxiousness. Armin enjoys his head being patted, and cheek kisses. Receiving pre-time skip, giving during post. He certainly gained some confidence after the time-skip, but most of the aforementioned behaviors probably wouldn’t change! He’s still an innocent shy boy at heart.
Connie Springer

Connie is.. canonically a bit stranger and more outgoing than Armin. In fact, I’d like to think that Connie is the type to specifically show off when his crush is around. The literal opposite of Arlert!
Picture a cute girl/guy (AKA you, the reader??) walking into the scout regiment’s mess hall. Jean and Connie both begin eyeing this individual. ‘She/he’s pretty cute..’ Jean remarks. Following this, Connie would be quick to make the first move, bragging about how many Titans he’s killed, or something else a tad bit unusual.
Connie has no qualms with throwing others under the metaphorical bus in order to get the upper hand and appear cool around his crush. He’d belittle all of his friends and laugh extremely loudly at his own jokes/insults. Anything to make everyone else comparatively look bad.
The short-haired scout has his sense of masculinity, and probably stands in front of his partner and holds a protective arm in front of them whenever there is perceived danger near.
Connie’s favorite form of affection is classic kiss on the lips. He’s seldom able to sit still long enough for hand-holding. The kid is too wild! Being the.. Sorta comic relief..? Of the main cast, it only makes sense for him to have such a goofy and frantic demeanor! Much like Sasha. RIP…
Jean Kirstein

Oh I’m so excited to write for the horse-face. There so much untapped potential with this man.
First off!! We saw him acting out around Mikasa, so it can be concluded that he’s a heavily flirtatious guy. Similarly to what I see in Connie, I believe that Jean is the type to go out of his way to perform in front of his desired lover. He would find just about anything to gloat over. After the timeskip, his flirting is likely less braggadocio and more sexual.
Jean is extremely protective over his partners. He’d carry them if their feet hurt, threaten anyone who insults his lover, and of course, hold open doors. He walks with one of his strong arms wrapped around his partner. That’s his favorite form of affection.
He most definitely brags about his partner to others. Some people don’t believe that he/she exists, which frustrates Jean and results in the young man threatening to murder a fellow scout.
Zoro ??

Looks like Zoro got lost again. So lost that he made it into an Attack on Titan post! Oh well, cannot be helped.
People express love in all sorts of different ways. Zoro isn’t the directly affectionate type and struggles with romantics. More specifically, his face often turns red in response to hand holding, flirting, or pretty much any way one could come on to him.
He’d go head over heels for a partner who’d train with him. He’d get a kick out of easily defeating his lover in sword fights, just as Kuina once did to him. Of course, the swords would actually be made out of bamboo. Roronoa would not battle someone he loves using his actual deadly weapons.
He grows a lot more affectionate while drunk… And fortunately, Roronoa is drunk much of the time. While intoxicated, the moss head who’ll hug onto his partner, aggressively ruffle their hair, or even lay his head on their lap.

i wasn't expecting people to like this idea so much, its definitely one of my weirder ones xD since im not sure when i'll get around to actually finishing it (if ever) you can have a very rough chunk of it instead. you'll have to forgive any mistakes, im not up to editing it.
In a surprising show of athleticism, Jon ducks under Sasha’s chair before the specter of his past manages to see him.
Sasha swears at the action, backing up in her chair and peering down at Jon in bafflement. “What on Earth are you doing, Jon?”
Instead of answering her question, he backs up even further, tucking his feet out of sight. He thinks Sasha’s umbrella must be under here, and judging from the sharp point currently jabbing at his thigh, he probably broke it. “Is he still there?” he hisses, tilting his head to avoid bashing it into the desk.
“Who?”
“That- that man!”
A pause. “Tall, dark and handsome?”
Jon’s turn to pause. “I suppose you might call him that,” he replies stiffly. And it’s true. The man, from Jon’s brief, panicked glimpses, is at least six foot, with thick, dark hair and a bright grin.
And he looks exactly like Jon’s ex, Danny Stoker.
He’d done an almost comical double-take after a cursory glance; at first he’d thought Danny was the new hire, but this man was more angular, like a sharper, leaner version of his ex. So no, it couldn’t be him.
That didn’t stop him from diving under the nearest object, ergo Sasha’s desk. Not the wisest of decisions, considering his throbbing side, but he’s never been known for grace under pressure.
He’s not exactly sure why this fight or flight mode’s been activated- he and Danny had parted on fairly good terms, each recognizing that although they cared about the other, they simply weren’t compatible in the long term. They’d dated for a little over six months when Jon was a freshman, and he’d fallen hard.
Danny had been his first real relationship, and Jon was shocked that someone like him even looked his way. Impossibly handsome, incredibly fit, desired and envied in equal measure, and he dated scrawny, shy, insecure Jonathan Sims; the rumor mill went wild. They’d met at a party, and not even a good one. In a brief moment of liquid courage, Jon managed to insert himself into a group and fit in one snarky joke that sent Danny into stitches, the rest of the partygoers following his lead. For one second, Jon felt like he truly fit in, like he was someone worth knowing.
Danny had a way of making someone feel special. Big, romantic gestures, surprising him after class, taking him on little expeditions beyond campus. Jon didn’t drive, still doesn’t, and Danny wanted to show him the world outside of their privileged little campus.
But, like all of Jon’s relationships, it came to an end. Jon wasn’t ready for such overwhelming affection (didn’t think he deserved it, quite frankly), and Danny needed someone who could handle his fast-paced lifestyle. Jon was not that man. They broke up amicably, even if Jon shed a few tears in private, saw each other on campus a few times. Danny tried to reach out more than once, just as friends, but Jon’s never been able to handle more than one relationship at a time, and by then he’d met Georgie.
But now it seems the past is unavoidable, and standing near the circulation desk. Well, now walking in his direction, if the steady footsteps were any indication. Jon’s heart begins to hammer in his chest as it hits him that he is, in fact, hiding under a desk because a man who sort of looks like his ex is in his general vicinity. Coward.
“‘Lo!” God, even the voice is similar, if not as deep. “Tim Stoker. Reporting for duty.”
Stoker. Tim Stoker. Jon startles, slamming his head against the desk with a yelp.
Somewhere in his spiraling thoughts and throbbing head he remembers- Danny had a brother. An older brother that he adored. “Pleased to meet you!” Sasha chirps, very clearly amused by the situation. “I’m Sasha James. And this-” she tugs at one of Jon’s legs, dragging him a few inches into sight. Jon buries his head in his hands and wishes he were invisible. “-is Jonathan Sims. We’ll be training you.”
“Excellent.” Tim’s voice holds the same good humor Danny’s always did, and sends a pang of nostalgia through his chest. “Er, you alright down there?”
“Yes,” Jon responds robotically, scrambling to his feet and standing behind Sasha’s chair, unwilling to meet the man’s eyes, lest he be drawn in. “I- uh, lost a pen. P-Probably left it in the copy room, I’ll just be going...there.” With that incredible performance, he fled.
And only tripped once on the way out.

Tim doesn’t normally go for tiny disgruntled academics, but Jonathan Sims is an interesting fellow. He’s got a reputation for being the ‘problem child’ of the Research Department, awkward and prickly and always available with a snide word. It was funny the first few times, but Tim pitied him enough to ignore it now. He hopes Jon enjoys the view.
God forbid he ask the guy a question. Jon will look around the room, as if waiting for someone else to answer, when it’s clearly directed at him. He’ll blush and stammer his way through every explanation, keeping a wide berth of at least two feet between them. Even when Tim wants him to look at his screen, he’ll squint from far away. Tim starting to think he smells bad, or has some sort of communicable disease unbeknownst to him.
“It’s not that,” Sasha assures him, again with that unreadable smile. “Trust me.”
Time to try something else.
He prints out his latest follow up, a rather elaborate statement regarding mistaken identities and absolutely nothing supernatural. He knows Jon prefers to look at things on paper, as screens ‘trigger his migraines’ if Tim understood his mumbles. Maybe if he can engage with him on familiar territory for the both of them, he’ll be able to hold a conversation. Tim specifically requested his help on this one.
“If you could just look it over, make sure everything’s up to snuff, that’d be great,” Tim says to the top of Jon’s head, as the man refuses to lift his own to meet his gaze. “You know how Dr. Walker is. Always-”
“Finding mistakes where there are none? I’m familiar with her methods,” Jon snorts, and Tim feels like he’s getting somewhere. A whole sentence! With classic Jonathan Sims snark! “I-I can give it a look. I’m rather busy, but -”
“Take your time,” Tim says with a dismissive wave of the hand. “I finished a bit early, so I don’t need it for a few days yet. Don’t want to put you out.”
“You’re not.” Jon meets his eyes for about ten seconds before ducking his head back down.

Curious. I wanna hear your take on why Mikasa is toxic? Like I do agree on your take on Jean, RIP best boy. I also, wanna hear you take on Connie cause I totally disagree. Personally, I reckon that Connie shoulda have died instead a Sasha to me it makes a lot more sense.
Ugh, honestly I could write a whole ass essay per character, but I'll do my best to stay as short as possible.
Mikasa
Shortly, I don't like her. Like at all. I can see why and accept people are into Mikasa's character* and I admit that there are moments of hers which I find powerful and catching too, but Mikasa still is an objectively badly written character. Example why.
So, why do I think Mikasa is toxic?
I was using my words badly, Mikasa's relationship with and fixation towards Eren is what I find toxic.
Both of them have their mistakes: Eren is an ass with her often and doesn't take into consideration Mikasa's feelings, but at the same time the girl just drowns him.
She barely lets him be independent and competent, which obviously fustrates Eren, especially her overprotection which KINDA undermines his self-regard.
Mikasa gives like zero(or very minimal) fuck about her environment, especially in the beginning. Her personality is centred around only Eren, and her selfish little actions just cause more trouble and harm to others, plus more problem(s) to deal with.
Mikasa always does what she personally thinks is good for Eren, who is obviously cannot find comfort in her company. They have strong bond, but Mikasa doesn't really understand Eren or his needs. Armin does, that's why he could calm him down before retaking Shiganshina for example. Or Historia, they're are absolutely on the same wavelength, deeply caring about and understanding each other .**
I would be a-okay with these, of Mikasa would DEVELOP. But she never feels disappointment, hate or anger towards Eren, never doubts him which is unreal and annoying. When you love, you feel these things too, she is a one dimensional number one Eren simp(credit goes to @sophiedoesherbest ).
Connie
Connie isn't a widely liked character, but I think he's - especially for a minor character - incredibly well-written. Reflectiong to your statement, I think the reason why Isayama kept him alive is because that bastard wanted to kill Sasha anyways when she saved Kaya there were many-many event which outcalled his thinking, morals, personality etc.*** Sasha was kind of complete and if Connie would've died, it wouldn't have brought that strong character moments from her part like Connie's grieve did.
So, why do I think Connie is absolutely everything?
Connie seemed to be a simple-minded character from the beginning only existing for comic relief. But oh no, he was more than that.
Connie's conflict is around loyalty and betrayal. Solidarity towards his comrades and loyalty is something that has always been evident for Connie. No questions about it, it came natural. So, he had no hesitation helping on Armin(AND EVEN CARRYING HIM! like odm gear, carrying an another person requires incredible strength) even after encountering titans int Trost, and this pure careness and optimism is something caught me. Underrated and people often forget about it.
He has his own personal tragedy: his whole family turned into titans and his own comrades killed every one if them. The only member is left is his mother, and Connie never gives up on her, being really determined and hardworking(like spending all his days around her before Shiganshina). Then, he looked at Sasha as his twin-sister, yet she got killed too. He has numerous losses too, yet he's still a kind person who still cares about others.
The time-skip Connie was filled with rage(mainly because of Sasha's death), till then he's been betrayed many times. Loyalty, which was so evident for him, it wasn't for others. He says, "I'm tired of being betrayed". By Annie, Reiner, Bertolt, Eren, Onyankopon... Connie has never questioned his comrades or their loyalty, it was an intense shock. Like, after the Reiner&Bertolt duo's reveal, he couldn't believe to others. No. He wanted to heart it right from their mouth. Connie's dedication, faith and love towards his friends is something I treasure.
But in this cruel world you cannot stick to your pure, only white morals. So, Connie ends up killing two of his comrades. He had to.
*But based off my experiences, people are overrating her. Most of the fans are absolutely blind.
** I do not ship Erehisu, Yumikuri for the win.
*** But seeing Sasha x Niccolo in present and being together is something I'll never stop daydreaming of.

levi's blue eyes in today's episode took my breath away; i think it's the first time we get to properly see the colour of his eyes. his relationship with hange is so precious, they both care so much for each other. furthermore, he is so, so in love with erwin, still. Him remembering erwin just breaks my heart into pieces. and the way he faced magath, so vulnerable and defenceless.. please, PLEASE! leave my boy alone.
Connie remembering Sasha during a meltdown, implicitly describing her as his platonic half/soulmate, claiming she would have understood how he was feeling because they had such a visceral bond. officer? that shit right there. yes.

loved the hange- sort of comic relief - moment in which they asked pieck if she brushed her titans' teeth. i know that scene was very emotional (jean, baby.. lemme hug you too.) but because of the commonly known headcanon of hange never showering and just being a stinky individual just made me laugh so bad!!!!

‘Loki’ Actress Sophia Di Martino On MCU LGBTQ Reveal & Whether Or Not She’s The Enchantress | Deadline

There was talk of enchanting on the most recent episode of Disney+/Marvel’s Loki, and we saw some mind meld between new heroine Sylvie, played by British actress Sophia Di Martino, not only with Tom Hiddleston’s title character, but also with the TVA authority’s Hunter C-20 (Sasha Lane).However, don’t bestow any new titles on Di Martino’s Lady Loki just yet.In a conversation with Deadline, Di Martino admits she wasn’t specifically informed by Loki‘s writers that she was the Enchantress.In recent millennial Marvel comic lore, Sylvie Lushton aka The Enchantress was just an average girl living in the small Oklahoma town of Broxton until the Asgardians moved their home there. She wakes up with magical powers one day, and lo and behold, they were given to her by Loki. She ultimately moves to NYC and joins The Avengers.
"All I know is that the character is inspired by the comics, but she’s Sylvie [in the Disney+ series], and this is an entirely new backstory for her,” Di Martino tells Deadline.
Episode 3 turned out to be more than us just getting to know Sylvie, rather finding out details we never knew before about Loki. The episode was a big coming out for him.
There’s a moment when Sylvie and Loki are getting to know each other in the dining room on a train. She asks Loki, “How about you? You’re a prince. Must’ve been would-be princesses. Or perhaps another prince.”
“A bit of both,” Loki responds. “I suspect the same as you. But nothing ever…”
“Real,” Sylvie says, finishing his sentence.
The actress says, “When were filming it, we were aware how important it was. [Director] Kate [Herron] was really keen on getting that into the show. People have been waiting for it for a long time, and it was in the comics for a long time. It was really important to us, to her and a lot of people."
“In terms of playing it, we just played it like any other scene,” adds Di Martino as to how she and Hiddleston approached the drama in a less-is-more manner. Per Di Martino, some of those on set brought up the Al Pacino and Robert De Niro diner scene in Heat and how those two handled their two-hander dialogue with a nuanced grace.
“It’s two acquaintances having a chat on the train,” says Di Martino, “I didn’t realize it would be such a massive thing, and I’m so pleased it is. The engagement with it, and the reaction to it are incredible. I’m glad I didn’t over-play it.”
Episode 3 begins with Loki chasing after Sylvie, who has fractured the universal timeline into several strands, much to the ire of the TVA authority who controls it. Loki pursues Sylvie, and there’s plenty of fisticuffs between them and others. But as events simmer, they learn they’re more alike.
Talking about why Sylvie takes to Loki so quickly in the episode, Di Martino tells us, “Maybe it’s because she sees herself in him, maybe it’s because she finds him utterly ridiculous and she doesn’t see him as a threat. She sees him as this guy who is easy to wind up. He’s sort of in the way of her, and then a mutual respect is developed between them.”
Di Martino previously worked with Herron on her 2017 short Smear. Herron told us on a recent Crew Call podcast that when she pitched herself for the Marvel Loki directing job, there were already actors in mind she wanted to cast for the show. Di Martino submitted herself in a two-person scene on tape, and ultimately scored the part sans any testing opposite Hiddleston.
In regards to whether Sylvie always knew about Loki—whether he was always part of her plan to raise hell and disrupt the TVA—Di Martino teases “that will be interesting to see.”
And as far as Sylvie getting her own spinoff Disney+/Marvel series?
“Your guess is as good as mine,” says Di Martino. “They wouldn’t tell me even if they were thinking about it.”

Can I have one where Levi is a highschool teacher and a lot of people assumed hes like this grumpy man who doesnt have a partner (although the students who are close to him think he's pretty cool). Then one day hanji came to give him his lunch which he forgot and the students in his class are like shook. I thought this would be cute and funny hehe
There were a lot of rumors about Mister Ackerman. Not that Armin, or anyone else in his class, found it hard to understand him – under all of his cutting remarks and cold eyes, there was a kind man, who actually loved working with children and who tried to make better people out of them. But his past was clouded in mystery, and Armin with his friends frequently discussed the most interesting rumors about their PE teacher.
The most famous was the rumor about Mister Ackerman being an ex-member of a notorious gang. No one actually knew the gang’s name, or in what city they had operated, but a few upperclassmen convinced everyone that Mister Ackerman was a criminal, who managed to escape from authorities only with the help of their history teacher, Mister Smith.
The second most discussed rumor was about another student from their school and Armin’s own best friend, Mikasa. Mikasa had the same surname as Mister Ackerman, and that fact had given birth to a gossip that she was his distant relative. Or not so distant, as some students even claimed that she was his sister or illegitimate daughter. It was true that they looked very much alike, with their dark hair and similar scowling faces, but Mikasa fiercely denied any relation to Mister Ackerman, and no one dared to ask him about those rumors.
But most interesting talks were regarding Mister Ackerman’s spouse. He wore a ring on his finger, but no one had ever seen his wife or husband, and that intrigued the students of their school. After all, everyone knew that Mister Smith was single, everyone loved Mister Dawk’s wife, Marie, who brought homemade and extremely delicious cakes on school’s festivals, and it wasn’t a secret that their English teacher, Mister Zacharius was married to a school’s nurse, Nanaba. But no one had ever seen Mister Ackerman’s spouse. No one waited for him after school, no one brought him lunch and no one accompanied him to school’s dances or trips.
“Whoever he was married to, they probably dumped him, because he is annoying,” Mikasa declared during one of the lunches. “That’s why he’s so angry all the time.”
“Or maybe, they have died?” Historia asked with a sorrowful expression on her face. “And that’s why Mister Ackerman always looks so sad.”
“He’s not sad, he’s just an asshole.” Mikasa argued.
“Nah, I think Historia’s guess is better,” Ymir smirked, wrapping her hand around Historia’s shoulders.
“You say that just because you’re dating her!” Eren interfered, pointing an accusing finger.
“Maybe,” Ymir shrugged. “But you are just a lonely loser with anger management issues, so your opinion definitely doesn’t matter.”
Eren flared up and shot up to his feet, his face red from anger. Armin stopped him, putting a hand on his elbow.
“Eren, calm down!” he whispered worriedly. “Besides, we shouldn’t discuss Mister Ackerman’s personal life so loudly.”
“Yeah, he can come in at any minute,” Sasha nodded.
“And I don’t know about you,” Jean added. “But I don’t want to run fifteen laps during today’s lesson. So shut your stupid mouths and hurry with your eating. We can’t be late for Mister Smith’s class.”
“Fine,” Eren begrudgingly returned to his seat, continuing to glare at Ymir’s smirking face.

Armin walked inside the teacher’s room, meaning to find Mister Smith, when he witnessed a peculiar scene.
Mister Smith was sitting at his usual place next to Mister Zacharius, as always, but today there was also a bespectacled woman Armin had never seen before. Mister Zacharius had his hands wrapped around her shoulders and Mister Smith was smiling happily, as they both intently listened to that woman.
“I’m sorry!” Armin squealed, when Mister Smith’s eyes landed on him. “I didn’t mean to interrupt!”
“Oh no, it’s nothing, Armin, don’t worry,” Mister Smith told him kindly. “Did you come to return me my book?”
“Y-yes,” Armin took a step closer and handed the book to his teacher.
“Ah, don’t be so shy!” Mister Smith chuckled. “Come here, I’ll introduce you to my good friend. That’s Doctor Hange Zoe, Professor of Archeology. And that’s Armin Arlert, one of my most prominent students.”
“It’s a pleasure to meet you, P-professor Zoe,” Armin shook the woman’s hand with a nervous smile.
“Oh, the pleasure is all mine,” she answered warmly. “Erwin told me a lot about you, he’s very proud of your grades.”
Armin’s eyes darted to Mister Smith, and he blushed, seeing the smile on his teacher’s face. “T-thank you!”
“Say, Armin,” Mister Zacharius called. “What is your next lesson?”
“Um, PE, sir.”
“What a coincidence!” Professor Zoe shot to her feet. “I was just going to see Levi! Armin, would you be so kind to show me the way?”
“Of c-course!”
“Excellent!”
“Just try not to surprise Levi too much, alright, Hange?” Mister Smith chuckled.
“Yeah, don’t give our shorty a heart attack.” Mister Zacharius added.
Professor Zoe threw her head back and laughed. “Can’t promise anything!”

“Ah, the school changed so much!” Professor Zoe mused, as Armin and she made their way through the school corridors.
“You’ve been here before?” Armin asked. “Have you been studying here?”
“Oh no, I haven’t. But my friends work here, so I used to visit a lot.”
“Used to? Why did you stop?”
“Oh, I’ve just returned from an expedition with my team. We’ve been digging in Norway for almost a year.”
“Trying to find something from Viking Age?”
“Yeah!” Professor Zoe beamed. “Erwin was right, you’re a bright one.”
The warm gaze of an older woman made Armin blush once more. “So you’re friends with Mister Ackerman as well?”
Professor Zoe giggled. “Yeah,” she said, playing with a ring on her finger. “We’re very close friends.”
Soon they reached the doors to the school’s gym.
“The lesson is about to start,” Armin said. “Mister Ackerman is probably inside.”
“Alright, thank you,” Professor Zoe nodded. Armin looked at her more closely, the woman seemed to be nervous.
“Are you alright?” he asked tentatively.
“Yeah, of course,” she answered, running a shaky hand through her hair. “I just haven’t seen him in a while.”
Professor Zoe exhaled loudly, fixing the glasses on her face. “Let’s do this,” she whispered to herself and pushed the door open.
When Armin entered the gym, he saw that his classmates were already standing in a straight line, dressed in their sports uniform. Mister Ackerman was in front of them, and he tsked as he heard the door open.
“You know that I hate it when you brats are late to my lesson,” Mister Ackerman turned around, clearly meaning to lecture Armin. However, as he saw who was standing next to the boy, his eyes widened almost comically. “Hange?” he asked in a quiet, disbelieving voice.
“Hi,” she answered, awkwardly waving her head.
“You’ve returned? But you said you won’t be back until the next month.”
“Surprise?” Professor Zoe giggled nervously. “I brought you lunch by the way!” she dug through bag and produced a pack of sandwiches. She smiled victoriously at Mister Ackerman, but he just continued to silently stare at her, completely dumbfounded.
Armin and his classmates watched the scene with great interest. Who was this woman? Why was Mister Ackerman so surprised by her arrival?
“Dismissed,” Mister Ackerman suddenly announced, his eyes never leaving the face of Professor Zoe.
The class remained in their place, not sure if they had heard him right. Mister Ackerman had never ended his lessons earlier.
“Dismissed.” He repeated urgently.
Armin and his friends hurried to leave the gym, and as soon as they turned around, Mister Ackerman started walking towards Professor Zoe.
Armin was the last one to walk out of the gym, and before he opened the door, he swiftly looked back. Mister Ackerman was standing next to Professor Zoe, holding her in his arms. They were talking about something, but their voices were too soft for Armin to hear.
But he didn’t need to know what they were talking about to understand what was going on. Seems like he managed to solve one of the many mysteries about Mister Ackerman.
Armin was sure that there was no need to gossip about his spouse anymore. They’ve just met his wife, after all.

What I Thought About “The Second Temple”/”Barrel’s Warhammer” from Amphibia
Salutations random people of the internet! I am an Ordinary Schmuck. I write stories and reviews and draw comics and cartoons.
As some of you might know, I wrote a review called "Why I (Want to) Love Amphibia." The short version is that while I enjoy parts of it, I won't go so far as to say I'm obsessed with Amphibia as I am with other Disney hits like Gravity Falls or The Owl House. However, the two latest episodes, "The Second Temple" and "Barrel's Warhammer," do a lot to fix two issues I have with the series: Anne's character and Sasha's road to redemption. 
(Spoilers Ahead)
My biggest issue with Anne is that I cannot pinpoint what her character is. Sometimes she's selfish, and other times, she's selfless; sometimes she wants to relax, and other times, Anne wants to go on an adventure; sometimes Anne needs a voice of reason, and other times, she is the voice of reason. It always felt inconsistent to me, and her personality is dependent on what the writers need for an episode. This is why I like "The Second Temple," because it at least offers some pinpoint explanation of who Anne is.
To put it bluntly, Anne is a selfish person who learns from her mistakes to become more selfless. Looking back, it is a tad bit more noticeable that Anne stops finding shortcuts or causing mischief the more and more the series goes on. There are times when she slips up, like ditching the cart with Sprig in "Fort in the Road" or being impatient in "Anne Hunter." However, these add to her development and having her learn to take responsibility for her actions. As much as I love a character like Luz, who is selfless from the get-go, I will admit that a character's journey from selfishness to selflessness is still an interesting one to take.
I also love the fact that she takes away the stone before it's fully charged. For one, it gives narrative purpose to a joke that, while not that funny, was pretty chuckle-worthy. On top of that, it adds more to Anne's imperfection, as her impatience got the better of her due to being worried about the Plantars and her girlfriend--I mean--Marcy. Whether this brief act of impatience could result in good luck or bad luck remains to be seen, and I'm honestly excited to see what happens next.
But not as excited as I am to see how Sasha continues to develop. The main thing that interests me with "Barrel's Warhammer" is Sasha's reaction to Anne and Marcy doing well without her. Time and time again, Sasha comes across as an abusive friend. And many abusers often feel anger over the idea that the people they abuse end up doing well for themselves, what with all the time and effort put into belittling them and building the abuser up. The thing is, I don't think that applies to Sasha. At least, not in the way it would. She's upset, but more for the selfish reason of hating that her "friends" don't need her anymore. The first scene in "Reunion" and a few bits from the season 2B trailer hints that Sasha acts as a leader who protects Anne and Marcy. So if they don't need her protection anymore, that means they really are better off without her. And that idea upsets Sasha down to her very core. You see a bit of it when Grime tells her to leave and how she isn't needed in "Toadcatcher." She thrives on power, and it eats her up, knowing she can no longer have it, meaning she'll do anything it takes to get more. And I adore the fact that she realizes the consequences of that after losing Percy and Braddock. After trying so hard to gain respect from the toad army, Sasha ends up losing two of the closest things she has as friends. Again.
It's especially an intriguing development since it leaves Sasha with Grime, a character who acts as a mirror for what Sasha could be. They both share a desire for power but diverge in how they see others that help them get it. Sasha sees friends that she genuinely cares about but fails to effectively express her adoration. Grime sees nothing but soldiers that can be lost and quickly replaced with others who are better. And something tells me he'll barely think twice about abandoning Sasha the second it benefits him. I won't deny that Sasha cares deeply about Anne and Marcy, but if she doesn't shape up, she will become just as slimy and emotionless as Grime is on the daily.
So, yeah, these are two great episodes with fantastic episodes with great character exploration, some pretty cool action, and a few jokes that gain a chuckle from me...there's just one issue: Pacing. Both of these episodes feel like they're on fast-forward and would benefit better as double-lengthed. Moreso with "Barrel's Warhammer," as I feel like a couple more scenes showing the bond between Sasha, Percy, and Braddock would make Percy and Braddock's departure all the more heartbreaking.
Other than that, these are still B+ episodes, in my opinion, and I can't wait to see what happens next.
Also, I hope you enjoyed this new format for What I Thought About. Because Amphibia works on an eleven-minute runtime, I can't really go as in-depth with each episode as I can for The Owl House, which operates on twenty-two. Meaning that I have to be a bit more general on my thoughts when regarding each episode.
(Also, also, I won't be reviewing every episode of Amphibia from now on. Just the ones that are worth talking about. Because I can't review every episode of Amphibia AND The Owl House, especially if both shows start airing together again. Trying to do both at the same time requires the mental stamina that I do not have.)

"I think we should try to find her," Jon tells Martin one evening when they’re alone in bed. Gerry is downstairs painting, and even though he almost certainly can't hear them, Jon whispers it like a dirty secret.
"You think-" Martin looks up from his book with an almost comically incredulous look on his face. "You think we should look for a murder who threatened your life?"
Utterly uninterested in secrets between the three of them, Martin does not attempt to speak quietly.
"Well, when you put it like that," Jon grumbles, returning his attention to his book and pretending to drop it.
The next day at work, he puts his researching skills to the test. It doesn't even take very long, and in less than an hour, he has an address in Morden, where she apparently owns a bookstore of all things.
The information available is fairly spartan, updated more than a year ago, but Jon can see enough. He can see that she lives less than an hour from Gerry, and it itches at him.
He knows he shouldn't go. Knows that Martin and Gerry will be furious if they ever find out that he snooped, nevermind if he goes there and unsettles old ghosts..
But still, he takes a half-day off from work and gets on a bus to Morden.

When Jon arrives and finds the storefront boarded up, he is half reassured, half perturbed. He had felt almost relieved when he had a concrete lead to follow, but now all he has is more questions.
"She's dead."
Jon startles at being unexpectedly spoken to and turns towards a teen girl sitting in the storefront doorway next door.
"She died, like a while ago? Apparently she lost her shit and cut herself up with a piece of glass. Bleed to death on the floor." She inclines her head towards the dilapidated bookstore. She seems quite taken with the gossip, as if it's the most interesting thing to ever intercept with her boring life. It probably is, Jon thinks, uncharitably.
"When did it happen?" He prods, hoping for as many details as possible.
"Oh, like two years ago?" She nods at herself in confirmation. "You can go in if you want. It's haunted. People are always going in to see if they can find Mary's ghost."
Jon shudders, feeling that Mary's ghost is already plenty present enough in his life. He asks how to get in anyway.
Jon doesn't find any obvious ghosts inside, only a lot of dust, a few vandalised books, and a trashed building.
There's a staircase leading upwards and he stares up at the upper landing for a moment, weighing his options. Might as well , he thinks, and proceeds up it carefully.
There's literally nothing but more dust, and Jon descends into a sneezing fit just as he is deciding to cut his losses, feeling slightly dizzy.
The sneezing turns into coughing, and Jon takes a step back to lean against a wall.
But the wall isn't there, and he falls.
And falls.
And falls.

Jon calls Martin from the hospital. He’s down in Brighton, meeting with a business supplier, and Jon assumes this makes it a safe bet he'll arrive without Gerry. He assumes wrong.
Gerry arrives, alone, in half the time it would take Martin to make the trip, looking flustered and scared.
"How did you get here so fast?" Jon demands incredulously, made short by his shame and physical discomfort.
"How did I-" Gerry pauses and takes a deep breath, but his next words are still slightly shrill. "I took a fucking Uber, Jonathan. How did you get here?"
Jon opens his mouth, but Gerry cuts him off as he goes on.
"You went looking for Mary, didn't you?" Jon's guilty face must tip him off, because he simply goes on, pacing angrily. "Christ, Jon! What the hell were you expecting to find? And you know what, Martin didn't even sound surprised when he called me to tell me you were here. You know, I can understand this uncommunicative bullshit from you, but not Martin."
"That's not very nice," Jon grouses.
"And do you think it was nice for me to hear from Martin that you were hurt? I'm glad to know he was your one and only phone call from an ambulance."
"Gerry-"
"Don't fucking Gerry me."
"I'm sorry," Jon says, looking down at his hands.
"Are you, Jon? Because you don't even know the worst part yet. If you had asked me, I could have told you Mary was dead, and then we wouldn't be in this mess at all."
"You knew?"
"Of course I knew! I was her next of kin!"
Gerry stops, pressing his fingers into his eyes and blowing a hard breath out. He takes several more breaths, heart-pounding, anxiety through the roof.
"Jon, how hurt are you?" Gerry asks quietly, coming closer to gently take a hand.
"Just a few bruises." Gerry raises an eyebrow in disbelief. "A mild concussion." And the other. "Maybe a few broken ribs."
"Oh, my sweet, sweet idiot. How loving you makes me want to climb the walls sometimes."
"Only sometimes?" Jon fills his voice with false levity, although it comes out rather shaky.
Gerry grunts, but leans down to kiss his forehead very gently. It's a minuscule point of contact, but Jon knows Gerry and can feel the tremble of fear (fear for him, who would have thought), and the tension of his frustration.
"I'm going to go talk to the doctor, okay? Just- just take it easy. Everything will be fine, love."
Jon doesn't believe him, not really, but he lets Gerry go. There's a lot of noise and movement after that, and Jon's head spins through most of it. Gerry is there, talking to doctors, querying the tests they want to run, and just generally making his opinion in regards to his partner's care very clear.

Martin knows it's bad when he arrives at the hospital and finds Gerry chain-smoking in the parking lot. His expression mostly just looks exhausted, but in his favorite black trench coat, and most intimidating combat boots, he looks ready to burn something down.
"That bad, huh?" Martin tries, but Gerry simply waves him towards the entrance, not making eye contact.
Martin almost cuts his losses, wanting to deal with one idiot at a time, but doesn't want to leave Gerry to sulk.
"How is he?" Martin asks.
"He's in one piece. They asked me to leave so they could do the x-rays. Apparently, he fell over a banister."
"A banister? How?"
"Your guess is as good as mine until we can interrogate him." Gerry takes a long, contemplative drag of his cigarette. "But apparently it's not all that bad and as long as the x-rays look clear, we can take him home in a couple of hours."
"He couldn't have chosen a worse time."
Gerry grunts in agreement. "He's going to tell us he wants to go back to his own flat, but that's only because he thinks I'm angry at him."
"And why would he think that?" Martin questions.
Gerry takes another long drag of his cigarette as if testing Martin's attention span, or patience, or both. Martin just waits, still and easy.
Gerry explains what he knows, his earlier outburst, Jon's guilty, stupid face.
When the cigarette is smoked and put out, Martin finally approaches Gerry all the way, and Gerry sinks into his arms gratefully.
"Everything will be fine."
"Hardly. This is my fault to begin with, and I yelled at him. In a hospital bed!"
"It's as good a place as any other, love. Come on, let's go get him so we can take him home."
Martin kisses him gently, before taking his hand and dragging him off to find Jon.

"Your partner is very loud." The blonde nurse with the buzzcut tells Jon as she wheels him to imaging.
"In his defense, I'm an idiot." He sighs, causing his battered ribs to ache.
She laughs heartily, wheeling him into an elevator. "Almost everyone I meet as an A&E nurse is. At least you seem like an interesting idiot."
Jon actually smiles, somehow pleased with the observation. "I'm Jon."
"Daisy Tonner." She offers a hand, which Jon shakes as firmly as he can manage. "You seem a bit old for trespassing in haunted houses, Jon."
The elevator dings and she wheels him out into the imaging wing. "I was looking for the woman who died there." Daisy gives him a skeptical look and he sighs dramatically. "I didn't know she was dead."
Daisy nods her understanding. "I remember when she died actually. They brought her here that night. Never seen someone with so much blood loss be so… Erratic. We had to strap her down." Daisy looks contemplative as she recalls the memory.
"She was a crazy bitch to the very end, then?" Jon asks, bitterness creeping through his tone at the woman who caused Gerry (still causes Gerry,) so much pain. Jon doesn't allow himself, yet, to dwell on the heartache of the years of Gerry she took from him.
"For sure," Daisy tells him. "What do you do for a living then?"
"I'm a librarian?" Jon tells her, but it goes up a bit at the end, like a question.
"Really?" Daisy asks wryly, "You don't sound very sure."
Jon considers laughing but remembers his ribs in time to settle on a tired smile. "I do work in a library but to be frank, most of the time I just feel like my boss's busy boy. Always running here and there and doing everything but what I thought I was supposed to be doing."
"Most professions aren't what we think they are when we sign up for them," Daisy observes. She parks his wheelchair outside a door and leans around to let them know a patient is waiting.
"Do you like being a nurse?" Jon asks her when she settles against the wall beside him, looking rather more intimidating than one would expect from the average health care worker.
"Most of the time. Sometimes it can be just exhausting and draining." She shrugs, contemplative. "Sometimes I get a patient that makes all the shit worthwhile. Mostly I just want to deck someone, though."
She cracks up at that and looks down at Jon to give him a feral grin. "Your boyfriend seems like a worthwhile candidate. Very punchable face."
"Careful, he might enjoy it," Jon warns her, deadpan.
They exchange a pointed look for a moment, before bursting into laughter. It pains Jon significantly, but he considers it worthwhile to enjoy the moment with a strange new friend.

By the time Daisy returns Jon to his room, both Martin and Gerry are there. Daisy looks pointedly between blue-haired, pierced, goth Gerry, and pink-haired, jumper clad, soft Martin and then eyes up 'born an 85-year old man' Jon for good measure.
Jon just shrugs at her and she nods in acknowledgment, before helping Jon into his hospital bed.
"As soon as the imaging comes through, it'll be checked by the surgeon on duty," Daisy informs them briskly, "then they'll come through and let you know what's happening. You'd best settle in for a bit of a wait. Buzz if you need me."
With a curt nod and a small smile for Jon, Daisy is off.
Martin comes over and pulls Jon into his comfortable arms, pressing his lips to Jon's forehead. He sighs out in relief to have solid reassurance that Jon is alright, alive, and relatively unscathed.
Gerry also moves over from his perch on the windowsill, and folds himself onto the bed, cross-legged in front of his errant partner.
They settle all together, Martin beside Jon, one unwavering arm around his shoulders, Gerry in front of Jon, both of his hands holding both of Jon's.
Jon opens his mouth to apologize.
"I'll go first," Gerry tells him, gently. "I am sorry that I was so upset earlier and that I raised my voice. I was fucking scared and I took it out on you when you needed me to be soft and steady. I'm also sorry that I didn't tell you Mary was dead before."
Jon tries to interrupt now, but Martin silences him with a squeeze.
"I meant to tell you, but it was all very messed up and over-wrought and I honestly forgot." Gerry looks chastised, a rare blush staining his cheeks. "I hope that we can get better at talking these things out so that this doesn't happen again."
He pauses, considering. "And I hope that if I have made you think that you can't talk to me by avoiding telling you things in the past, that you can forgive me and I will do what I need to be better."
Jon is truly floored, and utterly speechless. The words themselves had been a little bit halting and slightly awkward, as Gerry struggled to express himself, but the earnestness proves to Jon just how much Gerry loves him.
"I- I'm sorry too." Jon stutters out. "I'm an idiot but I love you. I hope we can get better at this together."
His words feel downright juvenile after Gerry's acknowledgement, but it's all he's got, pounding head and trapped emotions preventing similar declarations (oh and his total lack of social skills). Gerry beams at him regardless and he leans forwards to kiss Jon sweetly on the forehead.
Martin grabs Gerry's hand and places a kiss on his palm, sending him a significant look. It feels like approval to Jon, and he can't help but appreciate their bond just as much as his own with each of them.
They settle to wait, and they take turns reading from Martin's book to pass the time, each of their voices having a few moments to fill the air and weave around them.
Dr. Basira Hussain eventually comes in, assuring them that Jon's concussion is mild, his ribs are only bruised, and that he should make a full recovery (if he rests), in just a few weeks. They thank her profusely and she leaves them with Daisy to check out.
Gerry goes off to take care of the paperwork and in a few minutes, they're saying goodbye and walking out of the hospital together. Martin and Gerry flank Jon carefully, there to support him if he stumbles.
He also sits between them in the taxi, head on Martin's shoulder and one hand grasped between both of Gerry's. He feels exhausted and floaty from painkillers, and every jolt of the car makes it difficult to breathe.
He smiles, rather unexpectedly. Despite his current predicament, he's glad enough to know that Mary Keay is dead and that chapter of their lives is definitely closed. He does wish he had just asked Gerry, but he hopes that the strained feelings and injuries will blow over and she will finally be out of their lives for good, nothing but a sad, angry memory. A shade living only in the memories of those that didn't know her.
