Hi, I've been wondering for the photography AU what general time period it's set in, what type of camera(s) does Koby use (it looks like a canon to me but seems to make polaroids, at least that's the surface level observation I can make from my extremely limited knowledge on cameras), what type of photography he personally enjoys and the type he usually does for work (if he does it as his profession too). What does Koby aim to capture with his images, the casual mundane life of an average person, an unreal, etheral sight in a place the average person can't go, Luffy's luffiness, etc? Also what's the general budget Koby has towards camera equipment (doesn't need to be that exact, just a general "he's broke" or "He spends all his money on lenses" would suffice)? My questions are kinda vague here because I'm going to research more about photography later. Thanks in advance :D Oh yeah and also does Koby travel, if not what's the general landscape of his nearby area. You don't need to answer this since I'll probably make it up but it'd be good to know.

- its a modern au!! so set like. now!

- koby uses sony cameras primarily but yes he does have a few canons (nikon confuses him)

- he has a seperate polaroid camera!!! he usually prints digitally from sd though

- for type of photography, he started with a passion for ocean and landscape photography, mostly beaches and any scene with water in focus. he also has an interest in portraiture but his love for portraiture only comes to play when he meets luffy. cheese cheese cheeeesyyyy because luffy smiles and hes IMMEDIATELY enamoured. anyway, he starts to study and practice portraiture in depth because of the pretty boy he met in maths class and eventually works up the courage to ask him to model for him. they get super close and eventually start dating; luffy likes how dedicated koby is to his work and how cute he is when he blushes.

-SORDY got carried away with the sappy lovey stuff. koby sells his landscape/wildlife photography at local stores as a side hustle thing haha. but he doesnt really do it professionally, he much prefers to keep it as a hobby / simple income.

- koby aims to capture the beauty of colour! he loves vibrancy when shooting with a softbox or some other source of light he will usually use something to change the hue rather than plain old bw on a simple white bg

- following on he HATES shooting black and white photos unless theyre negatives because idk i think he would think it looks cool. what a guy

- with luffy photography he just likes catching luffys smile or just luffy in general; whipped dud!!! he thinks he is gorgeous

- ahahhhh budget budgettt. lenses are fucking EXPENSIVE!!! he uses a 50mm that helmeppo got him for his birthday one year (rich kid stuff. he knew koby likes photography and searched Best Lense For People Pictures and bought the first one he saw) the 50 is canon as consequence so koby uses canon for loofy pics. he has an 18-55mm he uses as well.

- he is broke yes. koby does have a minimum wage weekend job to pay for living expenses but all in all that boys pockets are empty. luffy is the breadwinner (miss rabbit with the one zillion jobs) he works about 4 different jobs and is happy to pay for anything koby wants despite kobys adamant NOs. like i said he gets helmeppo to pay for a bunch of stuff and helmeppo pays on his dads card LOL.

- koby does travel! mainly by train or boat, not often does he go to an entirely different country but he has previously a few times. when he does go abroad he takes luffy with him!!!! (he looks pretty in the snow. he likes taking pictures of him in snow)

It's a slow burn (because I know no different). They do NOT vibe at the start, pushing each other's buttons both unintentionally and otherwise.

The snowball really happens when Zorya schools Murderface on old school European munition (having learned all she could from her military cult upbringing about guns, etc). Murderface is absolutely HEART EYES for her first - but their contracts all say they cant sleep with each other. Eh, it sure does happen anyway!!

Zorya surprisingly does fall for Murderface kinda quick - quicker than she'd ever expect considering she wasn't expecting it at all. And when Zorya *wants* something, she gets it. Which Murderface nearly fucks up - it's a mixture of a) thinking he needs to look aloof, and getting it into his head that a girl is into him so he wants to make her work for it cause he "deserves that" but that is really because b) he's self sabotaging, cause it's a girl HE likes too. Why WOULDN'T it go wrong? Might as well make it go wrong himself before she can hurt him, right?

They're both on the same wavelength, honestly, for the most part. Both overly confident to cover up for their insecurities, but when they get into a relationship, their insecurities see-saw between disappearing completely and multiplying. Their lack of trust is more to do with fear. There's a lot of arguments about how he's afraid she's cheating, she doesn't feel valued, one of them thinks they're better than the other etc - but they get smoothed out as time goes on, where they both learn to boost the other up and comfort each other.

Murderface shows her off. a LOT. Constantly wanting to hold her hand, have her sit on his lap, make out at events, the works. She loves the attention, loves being shown off, and she also loves to boast about dating him (even if no one else "gets" it). She learns to let Murderface throw out these wild, grand romance gestures that he THINKS he has to do to keep her interested (fills rooms with flowers, expensive guitars, holidays). She likes them but would rather just HAVE him, but her acknowledging these makes Murderface feel better and comforted.

hi guys! this is slowly becoming a weekly thing again (which is, kinda better than before where it was a daily thing kasi i had a lot of free time before eh) anyways, i'm feeling.. mid

i cried the other day, kasi i'm rlly scared to fail my math classes. i realized after the test, that it's not really much of a big deal. i mean, kaya nga ni rus mawalan ng pake. sana ako din. kung kaya niya, kaya ko din. i'm scared of failing kasi school is a big thing for me. kaya ayun.

next section: maybe i should work on knowing what to say. sometimes kase i blurt out words and just hope for the best, or hope i said the right things. which is ok, since wala na yung pressure sa sarili ko pero at the same time ang bobo ng mga sinasabi ko pls HAHAHA

sana i could practice more on that end, pero ofc, no pressure parin!!

let's not focus on negative things, but instead let me tell you about how great this week has been!!

i went to nuvali with my ate and nakita ko si angela, i'm not 100% sure if that's her name nga since it has been so long pero yun nga. a quick hello, hi, ingat lang and i feel good about it! kasi i didn't panic or anything. i wasn't v awkward so yeah.

i had face-to-face classes today. i talked to some of my classmates na hindi ko pa gaano nakakausap noon, and we're good. i feel like my social batter has been down a lot more often these days, so i'm recharging. which is healthy for me.

napupuyat ako alot from reviewing and waking up, fixing my stuff and all that, these days and ayun. kanina wala kaming pasok so i slept almost the whole GODDAMN day! which felt so great. ang sarap sa feeling omg ka. ayun. masaya. well rested ako hehe!!

i also found out that i had tigdas-hangin kase may rashes kami ni bela oh my fucking god pero ok lang. papasok parin ako kasi kailangan, i just hope hindi mapansin ng classmates ko. and if they do, siyempre sasabihin ko nalang na my allergies are acting out 'cause i ate sea food.

tomorrow, medyo excited ako kasi we have club! we have pre-cal din which i don't love pero go parin! hahahaha ok ok ok. let's gooo. i haven't bought juice for my pod nga pala. di ko pa alam when ako bibili pero yea. pagiisipan ko nalang, tutal naayos ko naman na budget ko. just not vvv specific like, kung paano ba expenses ko and etchetera. more on go with the flow kasi ako these days kaya nauubos e. data seems to be showing that we can in fact run the shop intermittently dependent on what we do for it, just not in a crunch like this. potential big commission next month? maybe? gonna be a lot of work if it works out though. have a couple goals for after table. shop’s a big part of that. seems like we can do the print things and rest while things are printing, thing. need to get better at post processing though. also means we’re not able to progress in other areas because “work” is taking up what ability we’d use. but we’re (mostly) keeping occupied and (mostly) happy and was able to manage ability effectively up until car shit happened. 

feels almost guilty prioritizing shop work over doing basic activities alone but we’re not going to dwell on that. there’s lots of good reasons why this is how we’re doing things and its understandable to the ppl who matter. (plus like. literally this was part of the therapy groups lmao). ...does mean i need to follow up with home care, *badly*, though...

staring down a fucking giant car expense thats legitimately a different shop’s fault and idk what’s gonna happen if they’re not willing to take responsibility for the damage...

I would say that the higher end of the range is expensive but 800 is relatively reasonable. Especially if they’re a guest artist. Sometimes they have to pay for their station since it’s not their shop, travel expenses, other things they may not have to pay for if they were working out their own place. But you’re paying for the design, time, actual work done, and for them as the artist, etc. There’s also no harm in saying X is my budget would you consider coming down. Worst they say is no and you just pay what they ask

i KNOW that having perfectly clear, unblemished, completely even toned skin is Entirely unattainable and nearly all pictures we see of ppl who have skin like that have either been photoshopped/face tuned to hell and back and/or theyve gotten major work done on their faces/use vvv expensive skin care products that the average person cant buy, but goddamn it if i dont want skin like that :/

@onwiings levi. Both of them are so grown, experienced, mature. I believe that they can enjoy special things together, romantic and expensive dinners, wine and movie nights, and most importantly, silences that are comfortable. A couple that everyone recognizes as stable and grown.

@therealvalkyrie: jean. He had a lot of character growth after the timeskip. I feel like he is lowkey a catch (which is perfect cause valk is too!), someone who would always listen, pet her hair when she’s sad, but also have wholesome baking sessions with her.

@starstruckkittensweets: levi. Star is so so sweet, exactly the light that levi needs in his life. She is why he gets up in the mornings, why he tries so hard at any task that comes his way, why he can’t wait to come home at night - to be her big spoon, to comb his fingers through her hair, to remind her how much she means to him.

@unadulteratedtreecrusade: hange. Bean is lowkey in love with hange and I think that hange can’t help but reciprocate that love, not to mention that bean is already so loveable! They’re both so cute, affectionate, adorable together. Lots of cuddles and compliments before bed and in the mornings.
