Tumblr media
You weren’t that fussy with how the girls looked growing up- whilst Tilly was more similar to you in that she liked to have her hair done and wear matching socks and fancy dresses, Lottie followed much more closely to Harry. But you did have a rule, which was that you wanted the girls to keep their long hair. Both of them had inherited the typical Styles hair genes- with Tilly’s hair being long and dark blonde, and Lottie’s being a mad, curly chocolate brown lob that formed ringlets around her head. There were only a few things that Lottie didn’t like about herself- she was much more confident than her older sister- but her hair was unfortunately one of those things.
new imessage from kitty:
just chop it. you’re gunna look amazing 😉
“Fuck it,” she muttered to herself, as she took the scissors to her hair and made the first cut. “Fuck,”
It was shorter than she had intended, with the offending chunk now barely touching her collarbone, whilst the rest of her hair still rested halfway down her spine. There was no going back, she thought, as she took the rest of the thick curly lob in her hand and chopped it off at her neck, and then proceeded to stare in the mirror for a good-few-minutes, realising her mistake, her long brown hair now scattered all over the bathroom floor. She was glad you weren’t home, but she had no clue what she was going to do when you did arrive home.
The first person to see the botched haircut was Tilly, who audibly gasped.
“Oh my god,” She screamed. “Your hair,”
She ushered Lottie downstairs, still virtually screaming at this point. Harry was sat in the living room, guitar in hand, as the noise made him look up.
“Hey my best girls, whoa, wow,” He choked slightly. “What happened?”
“I think it looks better,” Lottie smiled.
“Better!” Tilly scoffed, running her hands through her sister’s hair. “It looks like a toddler’s cut your hair!”
Harry sat up slowly. “It looks good, from the front,” He laughed. “But it’s not very even, and what is your Mum going to say when she gets home?”
“Why,” Tilly moaned, as she directed Lottie towards one of the barstools in the kitchen. “Your hair was so nice,”
Harry laid one of the tea-towels out on the floor, and grabbed a pair of scissors from the cupboard, passing them to Tilly.
“You want me to use these? On hair?” Tilly gasped. “These are for cooking!”
“We don’t really have a choice,” He sighed. “Just try and make it a bit better before your Mum gets home, surely it can’t get much worse,”
Tilly’s brows furrowed in concentration as she attempted to make both sides of her sister’s hair even, with a lot of colourful sounding words escaping from her mouth in the process. Harry stayed watching the entire time, laughing every-time Tilly would forcefully grab hold of Lottie’s chin and wrench it upright.
“Stop moving, or it’s going to be even worse! And stop laughing, Daddy, it’s not funny,” she scolded, whacking Harry’s back with one of the tea towels they had laid out on the back of the chair. “This is serious,”
Twenty minutes later, Lottie’s hair looked somewhat better. Whilst it was still slightly uneven, it was pretty good considering that Tilly had never cut hair before, and in the process, Harry had called his hair stylist to come round the next day and try and make it look a little bit more presentable.
“Quick, hide!” he shouted, as he heard the front door unlock, you entering the house with a few bags full of shopping. You pretended to not have heard all three of them shuffling around in the kitchen, as Tilly attempted to shove the scissors back in the drawer. When you walked in, Harry was stood in front of Lottie, blocking her from your view, Tilly stood next to him.
“Harry,” You began to laugh, as you put one of the bags down on the worktop. “Why are you standing like that,”
“Like what?” He asked, a dimple beginning to show on one of his cheeks. “Just standing here, that’s all,”
“Tilly,” You looked over at her. “I feel like you and your Daddy are up to something, I hope you’re not playing pranks on me again, I told you to stop that,”
She smirked slightly, trying to avoid your eyes, but found Harry’s instead, and they both burst out into a roar of laughter, their movement revealing Lottie to be sat behind them.
“Your hair!” You gasped. “Harry! Did you encourage this?!”
“We were trying to fix it!” He laughed. “To be honest, it doesn’t look half bad,”
“Lottie, why didn’t you just tell me, you wanted it shorter.” You sighed.
“You wouldn’t have let me anyway!” She replied, standing up from the chair. “And Daddy says it looks good, so it’s fine,” She winked at Harry, as she lent into his arms.
“It does look good, Lottie baby,” He played with a loose strand of her now shoulder length hair with his fingers. “But you always look good no matter what, my best girl,”
________
there you have it. my full intro to rebel teen lottie. more will come soon. thank you to my bestie becca for helping me craft lottie’s personality somewhat (we have many secrets about both her and Tilly that will be revealed gradually teehee)

request for ao3: maybe something with one of the nerdy prudes having a panic attack and the others supporting them?
Yeah by all means! Tossed this one up for a little while, just trying to decide who to do it for, because god only knows Pete, Ruth and Richie are all probably prone to a good panic attack...
Tumblr media
"Has anyone seen Ruth? Max is gonna be here soon!"
Richie finished helping Pete with the final touches of his costume, just to really sell the act that they were trying to put on here. It had come to their attention that in fact, none of them had seen Ruth, not since she said she needed a moment to get herself ready.
Pete shot Richie a knowing glance. Richie nodded in return. "How long's Max gonna be?" He asked, somewhat cautiously. They had a good inclination as to what was going on, and why Ruth had seemingly gone missing. Between them, they'd managed to work out exactly the same problem, because both of them knew Ruth well enough to know why she was yet to show face.
"He said twenty minutes," Steph answered.
Twenty minutes was enough, supposedly. The two of them had found her in some pretty bad states before, but together they'd managed to pull her back in before it got worse. Richie glanced back down the hall, back to the last place he'd seen her.
"We'll go look for Ruth," he decided. "You guys finish getting everything sorted."
The two of them left down the hall, picking up the pace as soon as they were a good enough distance from Steph and Grace. Richie had been the one of them to see her off, so he knew roughly where she'd gone to get changed.
They found her in a matter of minutes, in the drawing room, curled into one of the old chairs that had been covered over with an equally as old dust sheet. One hand was carefully delved into the sheet, her grip tight around the old fabric. The other was running through her hair, in some attempt to try and ground herself in the moment.
"Ruth?" Pete made sure to keep his voice soft, so as not to startle her with their presence.
Even still, she looked up quickly, her eyes wild from her panicked state. Stray tears were still running down her cheeks, and she tried desperately to scrub them away. Once her vision cleared a little, she registered the two figures in the doorway, and instantly recognised them.
"Richie... Pete..."
"What happened, Ruth?"
The two of them wandered into the room, closing the door behind them. Richie sat at Ruth's side, keeping a comfortable distance, and Pete took a space on the floor, close enough to be able to reach for her hand should the need arise. Ruth had never normally relied on anything less than physical reminders of the present moment, and so the two of them always came into situations like this with exactly that in mind, just in case.
Ruth tried to level her breath, to little avail. "I c- I can't do this. I can't do this!"
Richie frowned. "Why not? We're so close..."
In all her reasoning, Ruth had only managed to come up with one thing that made sense, one thing that really sparked her fears into motion. "What if... What if Max finds out? And he gets pissed, and we don't really make things better at all? What if it gets worse?"
The boys looked at each other for a moment. Pete leaned over a little, looked at Ruth for permission, and then took her hand in his. Her gaze landed on him, and she found herself glad to be in such familiar company as her two best friends.
"The worst that could happen here is Max finding out, you're right... But think about it... When he gets here, it's gonna be dark. We're already gonna be set up. Do you think he's gonna figure us out before we even start?"
"I dunno..."
Richie saw what Pete was trying to do. He nodded slowly. "Does Max even think at all? He always just jumps to conclusions! When have you ever seen him just sit and work something out?"
"Exactly!" Pete added with a growing, reassuring smile. "Even if he does figure us out, we'll have still managed to prank him beforehand!"
Richie shuffled closer. Ruth laid her head on his shoulder, and he pulled her in for a slightly awkwardly angled hug. It was just the three of them in that moment; it didn't need to be any more than that. Ruth could see what they were trying to tell her, and when she stopped for as long as her mind would let her to think about it, she realised they were right. It wasn't often that anyone saw Max trying to think something through...
Pete's hand was colder than hers. His thumb was carefully running up and down the back of her hand in a constant, steady motion. She squeezed, and he squeezed back.
Richie had the camera tucked away in his pocket, she could feel the edges of it digging into her shoulders. She could tell where his shirt ended and his jumper began. She could feel the hem at his wrist up against her forearm.
She registered that loose thread of her own jumper that she could always feel, just down the back of her neck, and the fake cobwebs hanging from Pete's arm, and the colour of his bruise in this dim light. The old smell of dust was heavy in the air. She took a breath. It was deeper than her last.
"How about it, Ruth? We need you with us. We can't do this without you... Are you ready to make him shit his pants?"
She managed something of a smile, however weak and shaky it was. "I think so... Maybe?"
"He's not here yet, we've still got time." Pete assured.
"Then... Can you stay a bit?"

'First' Sights Part 2
Tumblr media
Eobard Thawne x Reader
This a part 2 read part 1 first
Warnings- Main character deaths, fear, little description of gore
It was another twenty minutes when I got a message back saying they were sending him back now. With dread in my stomach I made my way back down to help ensure everything went according to plan.
Making my way down the corridor, I find it odd how quiet it is. Looking into the cortex I find a horrific scene. I find it hard to keep everything in my stomach as I stand in fear.
Blood splattered and slightly dried on the main desk. Screens are pulled up to the pipeline cell, which is empty. None of this was as horrific as Joe who laid on the floor leaned against the chair with his heart ripped out of his chest and a look of terror on his face.
Shakily I moved through the front of the cortex. An empty table sat holding a slouched Catlin. Her head rested against the table and her hand held tightly the pole next to her. Walking a bit closer I see the hole in her back… And her heart on the floor.
Where the hell is Cisco?
What the hell happened?
I ran down to the pipeline.
“Harry!” I scream out. “Barry!” I scream louder.
I finally find Harry laying against the wall. His hair is matted and there are dry tears on his face. There’s no holes in his clothes or skin, but there’s also no heartbeat or breath in his lungs.
My breathing is ragged as I continue down the hall. I haven’t felt so tense, so emotional in a long time. A part of me feels like this isn’t real. A part of me doesn't believe they’re actually dead.
I make my way to the closing, but still there’s no evidence other than their bodies.
“Barry!” I scream out.
I could hear the echo before the wind hit me.
Red. The lightning was red.
I should’ve known Eobard did this…
I turn to face the man in yellow clad and watch him take off his cowl. His eyes glow with pride. His lips turn up in a snarky smile.
“There you are.” He says smiling. “Did you see your little gifts?”
“Where’s Barry?” I whisper.
“Don’t know, don’t care. He’s not important right now.” He says while slowly stepping towards me.
I shake my head in confusion. “You’re obsessed with him; what do you mean he doesn’t matter? I don’t get it… you. He, Barry, wouldn't have let you kill them.”
“Well Flash wasn’t quite fast enough.” Eobard softly grabs my arms. He tilts his head while looking at me.
“Why are you here, what could you have possibly gained from any of this?” My voice breaks at the end of my sentence.
I’ve never felt so helpless, so defeated, confused, and… hurt. I just don’t understand.
He shakes his head with a breathless laugh. “I had to come back to get you, silly girl. I couldn’t just leave you here alone could I?”
I rip my arms away from him. I raise my voice, “You said you didn’t love me! You told me you were faking, using me! You left!” I pause. “How do you even remember me? You, you aren’t the same Eobard I know. You’re not, you're not supposed to know me, so how d-”
“Of course I had to pretend you weren’t important. I needed things to go according to my plans… Then foolish Eddie thought he could be a hero. I had back ups however. I made one little contingency plan just for you.” He steps forward and grips my hands as he speaks. “I used the negative speed force to propel my memories of you and my plans to another version of myself. And once I received those memories I knew I needed to get my princess back.”
I couldn’t gather the words or thoughts. Eobard came back for me. Eobard loves me. Eobard killed all of my friends, but I didn’t actually like them. I didn’t care. It’s like a train. All of the emotions I’ve shut out, coming back.
Tears gathered in my eyes. My voice was broken and quiet, but I need to know. “You love me?”
The smile he gave could light the sky. “I love you.”
A deep breath and a look around. I smile.
“Then take me home, Eobard.”

SJM NextGenWeek Day Four
Sisterly Advice
Day four! Today is about the youngest Archeron kid: Bragi! For @sjmnextgenweek
Words: 1,090
TW: none
Nemesis storms into Bragis room and finds them writing a love letter
"I'm bored!" Nemesis said as she walked into her siblings room. It was a quiet afternoon for her, which was rare, and she didn't like it. She liked having her days planned out but on this day she didn't have ballet lessons, she didn't have Court or history lessons, she didn't Old Language lessons and she was already at training this morning. Her girlfriend was at soccer training and her brothers were out doing cauldron knows what. Not that they were her first choice in hanging out but she didn't have any problems annoying them. Bragi on the other hand, she didn't like to annoy them. Nemesis knew that Nyx would tell her to shut up or kick her out of she got too much but Bragi would torture themself through her bullshit because they were too nice to tell Nemesis to fuck off, even if she told them a thousand times that it's okay. No, when Nemesis needed to rant for hours, Bragi would sit and listen. As much as she admired that about her sibling, she was scared that people would take advantage of them. Bragi only knows the basics of controlling their powers and self defense because that much their parents insisted on. Otherwise they wouldn't have learned anything about powers and self defense because they weren't interested in these things. In short, Bragi was a cinnamon roll. They loved poetry and reading and writing. Bragi loved admiring the small things in life, like the smell of flowers, the twitter of birds, the smell of rain and snow. To Nemesis biggest surprise, Bragi loved adventures and it all started with Bragi going to a boarding school near the Night Court border, it was their own wish. It took Nemesis a week to get out of bed after her youngest sibling had left. Not just her youngest sibling but her best friend. She never told Bragi, though. They would feel guilty and Nemesis wanted them to be happy. They deserved it. They deserved the world. Now they travel through the courts, they even visited the continent a few times, all of their own. Bragi had even made adventure friends. None of them are as cool as Nemesis of course but she was glad that Bragi found people who appreciated the same things as them because this was the only thing she couldn't give them. Nemesis was a homebody, she couldn't even stay away from home for twenty-four hours before starting to get homesick. It pained her that it was such a huge thing that parted them most of the time but at least they always brought home snacks from everywhere they visited for Nemesis and a whole bunch of stories to tell.
"What are you doing?" she asked. Bragi sat hunched over a piece of paper on their desk and Nemesis walked behind their chair. "Are you writing poetry?"
Just now Bragi seemed to have heard her as they winced and turned their head to look at Nemesis. A crush has bloomed on their cheeks, it was adorable. Her gaze shifted to the piece of paper, her sibling quickly covered it when they realized but not quick enough for Nemesis not to realize-
"Bragi, are you writing a love letter?" she asked.
They pushed the paper under a near book and turned back to Nemesis, avoiding meeting her eyes. "I-" Bragi cleared their throat. "What?"
"I won't tell anyone, I promise." Nemesis said as she sat on a cushioned chair close to Bragi. "Can I read it?"
They shook their head, their face turning redder.
"Okay." Nemesis said, smiling reassuringly. "Can you at least tell me something about your secret love? Name? How did you meet?"
Bragi stood up and sighed, sitting down again on the edge of their bed. Nemesis hurried over to them, careful not to stumble over the mountains of books on their floor, and hopped on Bragi's bed. She laid on her stomach beside them, propping her head on her hands.
"His name is Atlas." Bragi finally said after a minute of silence. "We met when I first visited the continent, in Montesere. He was also traveling, he's originally from the Winter Court."
"Ohh." Nemesis said. "You're writing each other letters?"
Bragi nodded. "Yes, that's how we stay in contact. He invited me to spend the day after Solstice with him, when the big celebrations in the Winter Court are over and the gates are open again."
"Aww, Bragi! That's so nice!" she said. "Did you accept?"
"Not yet. I was writing the - the letter when his letter arrived. I don't know if I should even send my letter. I don't know if he even likes me like that, maybe he's just being polite. Maybe I'm not even in love, maybe I just convinced myself I am." they said.
"And why would you do that?" Nemesis asked.
They shrugged. "Maybe because you and Nyx found someone and I…don't? I wasn't even interested in this until-" they stopped mid-sentence and sighed, shaking their head.
Nemesis sat up and put an arm around Bragi and finished their sentence. "Until you met Atlas. Exactly, Bragi. He's important to you!" she curled one of Bragi's locks around her finger. "You don't have to send the letter if you're scared of the response, but do you remember what you told me once when I had a crush on the girl from mom's painting class?" Bragi nodded once, but Nemesis repeated it nonetheless. "It's possible that you'll get rejected but it's better to have clarity than asking yourself 'What if?' all the time. It was a great piece of advice and maybe it's time you use it for yourself."
Bragi nodded "Maybe." their shoulders slumped. "But I don't think I want to spend the Winter Solstice with him, yet. That feels like a big step, even if it's a day after."
"That's good because I planned to do a self care day with you then. Much needed when the cousins storm the house." Nemesis replied and Bragi chuckled. She smiled and shows a side of her that she only allows her little sibling to see as she puts both her arms around them and pulls them into a hug. "I love you, Bragi."
"I love you, too." they said. "I'm washing my hair today, by the way."
Nemesis gasped excitedly "Yes! I bought a bunch of new products and I found a great curl method for your hair. These curls will look perfect!"
Bragi tightened their grip around Nemesis as they laughed.

Neither Sadie nor Ethan particularly enjoyed fancy networking events. Whether it be a gala, fundraiser, promotional event, whatever, they would both rather stay home. Unfortunately, as the head of Edenbrook’s diagnostics team, Ethan’s presence was often required, or at least strongly encouraged and Sadie would be damned if she was going to let him go by himself. So, the couple was currently at some event like this - Sadie had forgotten exactly what it was for a few drinks ago.
“Ethan, I wanna go home.” Sadie pouted, as she followed Ethan around the edges of the dance floor.
“I know, sweetheart, I promise we’ll leave soon. There’s just a couple more people I need to talk to.”
Sadie sighed and said, “Okay, I guess I’ll just wait at the bar.”
Ethan stopped walking and turned to Sadie. “No, you’ve had enough to drink.” He quickly looked around the room, spotting Kyra not far away. He grabbed Sadie’s hand and led her over to Kyra.
“Kyra, I have a few more people I need to talk to before we leave, would you mind watching Sadie?” Ethan asked.
“She needs a babysitter?” Kyra quirked her eyebrow.
“Considering how much she’s had to drink tonight, yes, she needs a babysitter.”
Kyra sighed dramatically and responded, “Anything for a friend. Go schmooze people.”
“Kyra, you’re really pretty.” Sadie admired her friend's look.
“Thank you, Sadie.”
“But how is your hair so long? I thought you lost it all when you got chemo?” Sadie reached out to feel Kyra’s long hair.
“It’s a wig, sweetie.”
About twenty minutes later, Ethan found Kyra and Sadie sitting at one of the vacant tables. Sadie was leaning against Kyra’s shoulder, gushing about how amazing of a friend she was.
“You ready to go home?” He asked.
“Yes, please!” Sadie stood up from her chair a little too quickly, causing her to almost lose her balance. Ethan quickly came to her side and wrapped an arm around her waist.
“Thank you, Kyra, I really owe you.”
“I accept my ‘thank yous’ in cash.” Kyra smiled, causing Ethan to roll his eyes and Sadie to laugh.
Sadie and Ethan made their way out of the event and to their car, where Sadie got in the passenger’s seat and immediately took off her shoes and leaned her head against the window.
“Thank you for coming with me tonight, love,” Ethan said as they drove home.
Sadie smiled. “Even though these events suck, I like doing stuff with you.”
Once they made it back to the apartment, they went into the bedroom to get ready for bed. Sadie laid down on the bed before even taking her dress off and watched as Ethan started to undress himself.
“You’re, like, really hot,” Sadie observed as Ethan unbuttoned his shirt.
Ethan chuckled and responded, “And you, my love, are beautiful.” He leaned over to kiss her. “Now, come on, let’s get ready for bed.” He held out a hand to help Sadie up off the bed, which she gratefully took.
“I am not gonna look beautiful tomorrow morning when I am super hungover.” She held her hair up as Ethan unzipped her dress.
“Oh? I disagree.”
Sadie turned around to face Ethan, wrapping her arms around his neck. “I love you.”
“I love you, too.” Ethan kissed Sadie before removing her arms from around his neck so they could finish changing.
Once they were finally in bed, Sadie laid on her stomach against Ethan’s chest, quickly falling asleep. Ethan watched her sleep peacefully, the slow, rhythmic sound of her breath, lulling him to sleep as well.
When Sadie woke up the next morning, the bed was empty and the sunlight was way too bright. Why would he leave the blinds open? Sadie thought as she slowly sat up. She blinked a few times before turning to the bedside table to grab her phone and check the time, however, she noticed a bouquet of flowers sitting in a vase on the table. There was a note sticking out of the top, so she grabbed it. It read, “You’re always beautiful” with a little heart drawing in the corner. Sadie smiled to herself and grabbed her phone.

Sadie sighed happily and said to herself, “I’m gonna marry that man someday.”

something in the orange tells me you're never comin' home
Tumblr media
ft. @marcusxshaw, tw: grief
The world keeps spinning.
“My father is going to kill you!” A young Adriana laughs. Her hand is clasped tightly with his as they run through the fields of Hagfield, mud covering her once perfectly white dress and her sandals hanging from her fingertips. Before him there was never any disobedience to her fathers rules, never any laughter like there was now. As they hit the edge of the field, Adriana leaped forward and tackled an eighteen year old Marcus to the ground. Sitting on top of him as she giggled and looked down at him, “You’re gonna marry me one day, Marcus Shaw.”
"Adriana?"
She can hear the voice calling to her, it sounds miles away but she can hear it.
"Adriana, we know this news is hard but we need you to stay with us now."
It’s only been minutes since she received the news that her husband was dead. She hadn’t even had the time to process what was happening before her entire view went blurry.
She sat with a stone face in the chair in her dining room.
When they had showed up here with news that Marcus had turned up, Adrianas heart started beating faster than it ever had before.
Thank God, was all she could think.
Until she saw the look on their faces, so full of pity and sorrow.
“Your husband did not survive. We are so sorry to tell you that he was found deceased.” Was what they had told her and all Adriana could do was stare back at them.
“Can we get you some water or something?” The voice called out again.
This brought her back to the reality she was in.
She didn’t want water.
She wanted her husband.
Adriana stood to her feet, her hand flying up to her forehead to try and settle the dizziness that came with it. It was all too much for her to process.
“I need you both to leave.” She looked between both officers before turning on her heels to head for the front door. She swung it open and stared at them without saying anything. They understand, they had taken the hint that she was not going to accept any help they had to offer her.
The door slammed from her hand pushing against it and Adriana stood there holding herself up with her arms outstretched against the door. Her head hanging down between her shoulders as her eyes stayed locked onto the floor below her.
All she could think about was the last time she had heard his voice. The last time she had seen him. How stupid every fight they ever had seemed now. How much more Adriana regretted the year she left, an entire year of memories with him she would never have.
The movement it took for Adriana to find herself on the floor with her head cradling in her hands was fast. Her loud sobs muffled by her wrists pressed against her ears but the pain in her chest rang louder to her than her cries ever could. There was no stopping this, no amount of money her father could throw at it to make it all go away. She was forced to face the world around her now.
As she laid there curled up on the parlor floor, holding herself the way she wished he would. In a way that he never would again. All that flashed through her mind were the only pieces she had left of him. She pulled the sleeve of Marcus’ old sweatshirt sleeve overtop of her palms, bringing it as close to her face as she possibly could. Closing her eyes as the tears continued to soak her face, taking in the last smell of him she had.
“Do you like it?” Adriana stood in Marcus’ bedroom, twenty-three years of age. She held up a navy blue sweatshirt with bold white embroidered letters on it next to a stitched palm tree. It read ‘Someone who loves me went to Florida and all they got me was this sweatshirt.’. The dark haired girl laughed as she re-read the gift she was holding. “I saw it in one of those dumb shops before we left and I thought you needed it.” She had just returned back home from spending two years away in her hometown back in Florida. Adriana folded the sweatshirt up and set it down on the bed before wrapping her arms around his torso and looking up at him. “I missed you so much.”
Her breathing was heavy and there were moments she felt like she couldn’t breathe. There was no way she could move from the spot she was currently in, afraid that her legs would betray her the same way the world had. She stayed on the cold hard floor, sobbing through the new reality she was faced with while others held their loved ones close that night. Echos of his voice continue to fill her head.
“I, Marcus Shaw, take you Adriana Martinez, to be my wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, til death do us part.”
The world keeps spinning, even without him here.

GLEAMING SWORD BRÍSINGAMEN
A young girl laid on her stomach on the bed in her hotel room, kicking her legs back and forth in the air as she watched the current news on her tablet. It was talking about the recent explosion in an abandoned building, which was said to have been caused by Noise.
It seemed there was a lot of Noise activity lately, even though there hadn't been any recent sightings. She'd picked the worst time to come visit Japan, it seemed. All because she wanted to see all of what Tokyo had to offer, and therefore was here... at the worst time.
"Noise, huh? I wonder if their structure can be analyzed." Sitting up on her knees, she turned the tablet off and put it under her pillow before getting off the bed. It'd been morning for about two hours, and all she had done after showering and getting clean clothes on was watch random shows and then the tail end of a news report about the recent Noise attack. Well, she should probably go out and look around for a bit.
Making sure to lock her room door once she exited, she put her keys in the messenger bag she was carrying and headed out, making sure to exchange out her indoor shoes for outdoor ones when she was at the entrance. After heading out of the hotel, she started to walk down the street and wondered what she would do today.
For a few hours, she checked local stores, played a few games at the Arcade, was surprised to see they had a lot of CDs in stock at the store so bought a few of the singer, Tsubasa Kazanari. Once it turned to at least 1pm, Lulu decided it was time to buy some lunch.
Finding a row of vending machines and a few tables, Lulu stared at them for a minute before noticing they had katsu sandwiches in a vending machine. Curious, she decided to buy one of them. It wasn't easy to get the paper bill in the money slot, but it finally took and Lulu pressed the number 3 button and then the okay button. As it vended her sandwich, she got the change out of the change return part and put it in her messenger bag with the rest of her money.
Once she had her sandwich, she moved over to the drink vending machine and stared at the options. Noting the milk tea, she decided she'd try that and put in the required amount. However, she had to temporarily bring over a chair to be able to push the button for the drink, as it was higher than she was.
After putting the chair back and retrieving her drink and change, she sat down at the table and opened the box containing her sandwich. It had a small package on the outside, taped to the box, which she removed and set aside carefully. Once the stickers securing the box were broken, Lulu opened it to see a fortune message.
Two stars, and...
"Your adventure begins today, with yellow and blue." Strange. Giving a shrug, she continued to open the box to reveal the sandwich, carefully wrapped up, and a packet containing a wet wipe for her hands. It was really convenient. Opening the wrapped sandwich, her eyes widened a little.
"Oh.... That's so cute." It was a half a sandwich side each, cut into three. Taking a square, Lulu bit into it and ate it. The taste was... actually really good. With the test bite done after a few minutes, she opened her milk tea after setting down that sandwich bit and took a small sip.
It was a different taste, but one she didn't seem to mind. For about twenty-five minutes, Lulu sat there, eating her food and drinking her bottled milk tea before finishing and putting the trash in the proper places. The package of goodies ended up in her messenger bag, and she started down the path again after making sure her chair was pushed in.
However, as she started to leave the area, something landed on the ground and slid towards her. A pinkish pendant, it looked like. Picking it up, she noticed a young girl with blonde hair lying on the floor, with a woman who had brown hair with blue underneath standing there with a creepy grin.
Yellow and blue.
Was this what her fortune meant?
"Oh?~" The woman with the creepy grin looked at Lulu, who was standing there staring at the scene and holding the pendant. "Is this why you were running from me?"
"N-no! Please, you need to run!" The blonde-haired girl said, reaching up. Noise were starting to close in, having been summoned by the woman with the creepy grin. "Hurry! Get the pendant to the girl at the vending machines!"
Girl at the vending machines? She was literally the only one there. Glancing back at where she'd come from, she held up the pendant and felt her heart skip a beat. Setting her messenger bag down, she stared at the woman with the creepy grin and the girl laying on the ground.
The Noise were close. Words came to her almost in an instant, as if her heart was telling her what she needed to say.
"Valhimmel Brísingamen tron ...~"
In a flash of light, Lulu's clothes were replaced by a long, sleeveless and backless shirt that was more like a turtleneck shirt, a skirt with shorts underneath and various bits of armor over her arms, legs and around her neck. Her shoes were more like boots now, and a melody began to play that she didn't seem to recognize.
The slot on her left leg's armor opened up, shooting out a sword that formed itself into a greatsword. Catching it, curious as to how she could hold it without toppling over, Lulu took a test swing and caught two Noise in it. The Noise turned to carbon almost immediately. Moving herself forward with a couple steps, she cut down a couple more Noise and then moved out of the way of one that attacked. Using this as an opening, she sliced it apart.
Was this her adventure?
The Noise were whittled down to nothing, leaving her and the woman. With a "tch!", the woman threw down a pink bottle of some sort and told her to actually sing next time before leaving. A sound told Lulu the effect was over, and she was returned to normal. Running over to the girl, she helped her up and retrieved her messenger bag.
"I'm sorry about that. Here, you can have it back." She held out the pendant and the girl shook her head.
"No, but... I'd like to ask if you'd come with me. Since you're the owner of that now." The girl said. As if on cue, someone landed behind her. Turning to face the newcomer, she noticed, after looking up, that it was a brown-haired man wearing a suit with a soft smile on his face.
"Don't worry. We'll get you and Elfnein back to base safely." The man said. Lulu blinked, before being carted off to a submarine...

chapter 1
“happy birthday to you!"
tara grinned from ear to ear, as her family and her dad's girlfriend sang happy birthday to her.
she was thirteen now. a teenager.
considering, tara grew up with egon and ray they couldn't believe she was a teenager. they would never come to terms with it. at least until she was twenty...
"thank you guys." tara said looking down blushing.
she was never too big of a fan about having all the attention on her, which was something her and her dad were total opposites of.
"so, what did you wish for?" ray asked her.
"you really think i'm going to tell you?" she laughed.
"hey. it was worth a shot." he shrugged.
tara shook her head. "come on, this cake can't slice itself."
she went to go grab the knife until egon took it from her.
"i'll do it." he told her.
"okay." she rolled her eyes jokingly.
as he cut the cake, tara got up from out of her chair going over to where her dad and his girlfriend were.
"don't tell me you're going to leave without cake?" tara questioned.
she knew what her dad really wanted to go do right now. before, that kind of thing would bother her but now she knew not to let the littlest things get to her. it was who her dad was, nothing was going to change him.
"i'm not leaving without cake." peter denied.
dana laughed, shaking her head.
"you got a present for me?" she asked her dad.
"i don't think you deserve a present this year." he joked.
he slowly backed away from tara as he went to go grab something from behind him.
tara tried taking a peek, but he held his jacket out to prevent her from looking.
tara got up on her tippy toes to try and look.
dana laughed. "peter, just give it to her."
peter handed over the present.
"thanks." tara said giving him a hug. "so, are you guys going back to the apartment?" she asked after separating from the hug.
"maybe." he answered her.
tara smirked. "go, go have fun." she allowed them.
venkman ruffled her hair.
"trust me, we will." he whispered.
he scooped dana up bridal style.
"peter!" dana exclaimed.
"merry christmas! happy hanukkah! happy birthday!" peter dramatically made his and dana's exit.
tara shook her head.
"now, that that's over. want cake?" ray offered.
"yeah." tara snorted. "dude forgot his cake though."
she followed ray over to the table.
*
that night, tara laid wide awake reminiscing on her birthday party. though, her dad didn't stay long she was still more than happy to have him there. let's just say he wasn't always at her birthday parties or there on time. so, this was a big improvement compared to her other birthdays.
"oh. i forgot to open his gift." tara remembered.
she sat up, switching on her lamp.
she brought out the gift in which she left on the bottom shelf of her bedside table.
she looked at the tag attached to the gift.
from : dad and dana.
she grinned. usually, one of the boys had to go out to the store to buy a gift and put her dad's name on it to make it look like he got it for her.
thank god, those days were behind them or at least she hoped they were.
tossing the wrapping paper to the floor, she let out a small gasp when seeing what was now sitting before her.
a portable polaroid camera.
something she'd been asking for since she was ten. she was surprised to see he remembered.
"damn." tara said in astonishment.
she took the camera out of the box for a minute to take a look at it before carefully slipping it back inside.
she set it on the bottom shelf of her nightstand, not wanting it to get damaged or anything.
she looked over to the wrapping paper lying on the floor.
"meh. future me will take care of it." she said before switching off her lamp and laying down.
*

diluc
Instead of feeling anxious about your due date being days away, you felt at peace. And it felt like the world was at peace, too. The sun illuminated your kitchen, warm beams of light caressing your body. You could hear birds chirping outside and the stray cat you fed was sitting on a barrel next to the window.
You contemplated going outside to bask in the breeze but opted to stay inside. Despite your pleasant mood, you couldn’t help but feel like something was going to happen today. Your mind pondered the possibilities, skipping over the most obvious one.
Diluc was still asleep when you climbed out of bed. Some of the Knights kept him at the tavern extra late so you decided to let him rest.
You stood in front of the counter of your kitchen and reached up to pull a mug off a shelf. You had been drinking tea for the majority of your pregnancy and you couldn’t wait until you could finally have a mug of coffee again. You hummed to yourself as you filled the kettle with water and placed it on the stove.
A sudden, abrupt feeling hit your body like a ton of bricks. The feeling made your body jerk and a gasp left your lips, your hand instinctively covering your baby bump. Your other hand swept across the counter and knocked the ceramic mug onto the ground, leaving the porcelain to break into a million pieces.
Your midwife had described that leading up to the birth of the twins, you might feel braxton hicks. But something inside of you was telling you that this wasn’t just braxton hicks.
And your fears were correct when you felt something warm and wet running down your legs.
You screamed for your husband, panic rising up your throat. The comforting morning you had was thrown out the window as another contraction hit your body. “This can’t be happening,” You said to yourself. You were afraid to move, afraid to do anything, so all you could is yell for Diluc and pray that he heard you.
When Diluc finally heard you calling his name, he shot out of bed. He didn’t even bother to put proper clothes or shoes on, running down the stairs in his pajama set.
“Hey, hey,” Diluc said, shock and confusion written all over his face. “What’s going on?”
“The babies,” You breathed out, “I think they’re coming.”
You watched as the color drained from Diluc’s face. You weren’t supposed to have the twins for another few days. Nothing was set up and Diluc had even given his staff the weekend off. “Oh my god. Oh my god. What should we do? What should I do?”
Another contraction hit before you could answer, sending Diluc into another fit of hysteria. “You need to go into town and get my midwife,” You shakily said, “Like, now.”
“And leave you alone? Oh god, what if you give birth right here?”
You stepped closer to Diluc and pulled on his arms, guiding his hands to your baby bump. “I need you to focus. We can’t have both of us freaking out, okay?” Your husband nodded. “Everything is going to be fine but you need to get my midwife.”
Diluc nodded his head again, more firmly this time. His shaky hands led you to the couch where he knew you would be safe. He pressed a kiss to your forehead and bolted out the door, leaving you alone.
At the sound of the front door closing, you couldn’t stop the tears welling in your eyes. You knew Diluc would be back with your midwife and everything would be fine, like you said moments before, but you couldn’t stop the sheer terror that was creeping through your bones. Were you ready to be a mother? Could you give your babies the life they deserve? Too many questions flooded your mind and for the first time in months, you cried.
They return home within an hour and by then your tears have dried up. You were trying to focus on your breathing instead.
Diluc rushed to you, grateful that you were where he left you. “Is everything okay?” He asked quietly upon seeing your puffy eyes and red cheeks.
You forced a smile onto your lips and nodded, “Everything’s okay.”
“Where are we having this baby?” Your midwife said, interrupting the moment between you and Diluc. He stood up straight and motioned to the stairs.
“The bedroom,” He told her. Your midwife headed upstairs, pulling a rolling chest behind her, and Diluc helped you stand up. His fingers squeezed your hips, “Ready to have a baby?”
You threw your head over your shoulder, “Two babies, ‘Luc.”
For a moment, Diluc’s calm demeanor vanished and you swore you could see a spark of panic in his eyes. But your husband instead just smiled sweetly and helped you walk up the stairs.
Labor was not what you expected. You assumed that when your water broke, you would have your babies moments after but as you laid in the middle of your bed, you realized that wasn’t the case here. Contractions still hit your body every now and then but you were able to rest and even distract yourself from them.
“I’m bored,” You complained to Diluc, nuzzling closer to his warm body beside you.
“Do you want to play a card game?” Diluc asked. When you looked up to give him a deadpanned look, he put his hands up in defense. “What about a book?”
“Are you trying to make me even more bored?”
You wished you were able to leave the bed but as instructed by your midwife, you were on bed rest until the twins were born. Your midwife entered the bedroom again to check you and only gave you a sympathetic smile, “Four centimeters. We’ve got to get you up to ten.”
You groaned and threw your head back onto the pillow.
Your midwife left the room again and you sat up (as much as you could). You turned your body awkwardly so you could face Diluc, “Who do you think is going to come first?”
Diluc thought for a moment, “I think Clara will.”
You nodded in agreement, “One of the twins is super active and the other isn’t. I bet it’s Clara. She’s going to be fiery just like you.”
Around midnight your midwife checked you once more. Finally, you were almost ten centimeters dilated. Diluc moved off the bed and pulled up a chair next to it, instantly taking your hand in his. There was another twenty minutes before you felt a contraction that wracked your body. Your hand squeezed Diluc’s so hard he let out a yelp.
Your midwife sprung into action. She was at the foot of the bed in seconds, ready to guide you through the process. “Legs up, good, now just focus on me, okay? When you feel this next contraction, you’re going to push.”
Your chest was rapidly rising and falling and Diluc rubbed your thumb with his. And just like your midwife said, when the next contraction hit your body, you pushed.
The pain that ripped through your body was unlike anything you had felt before. It clouded your vision and you thought you couldn’t breathe. “You’re doing great,” Your midwife assured you, “Once the head is out, the baby will slide out like butter.”
Out of curiosity, Diluc poked his head around the corner of the bed.
And what a horrible decision that was.
“Oh my god,” Diluc mumbled, his face turning pale again. The grip around your hand became loose until his hand fully let go of yours. You heard a thump on the wooden floors and your mouth dropped.
Your midwife stared at your unconscious husband for a moment. “He can wait,” She decided, turning back to you. Your eyes squeezed shut in pain and you gripped the bedsheet beside you. “I see a head,” She smiled. “Ready again?”
You nodded your head before taking in a deep breath and pushing again. But there was no going back now and within moments of that push, you heard the little cries of a newborn baby. You wanted to stop and admire your baby but a gasp made you remember you weren’t done.
“What’s going on?” Diluc said groggily, finally standing off the floor. He was rubbing his head and froze when he saw the mess on the bed.
“Don’t pass out again,” Your midwife said sternly, “You have a daughter to clean up.”
Daughter. Clara was born first like you and Diluc said. Your vision was blurry from tears, the sight of Diluc and Clara distorted.
“Almost there,” Your midwife told you. After a few more minutes of strenuous pushing, relief flooded the lower half of your body. “And there he is.”
You tried to sit up but you were too weak. Two sets of cries could be heard and right now, that was music to your ears. Your son was placed on your chest and soon followed by your daughter. Your arms folded around them. Your midwife smiled as she cleaned up as much as she could before leaving the room to give you and Diluc some privacy.
“You did it,” Diluc said. He was in awe and couldn’t believe this was real life. The babies had tufts of red hair like himself but their nose was yours. Diluc wished he could photograph the sight in front of him. This was the start of your family.
kaeya
When Kaeya woke up in the early hours of the morning, he didn’t understand why at first. The night was peaceful and the bed was more than comfortable. His eyes ghosted to the side to see you still fast asleep. The blanket was pulled up beneath your chin and silent breaths left your mouth. It was only when Kaeya shifted did he realize why he woke up.
The sheets were soaking wet, especially from your side of the bed.
Kaeya’s hands gently shook you awake and you groaned, slowly opening your eyes. “Love, I think you had an accident.”
It took you a moment to register Kaeya’s face in the dark. “What are you talking about?” You asked before feeling the wet sheets yourself. An embarrassed fluster crept onto your cheeks but before you could say anything, a pain crashed down on your body.
“What’s going on?” Kaeya asked, immediately alert to your sudden movement.
“I think my water broke,” You said quietly, rubbing your stomach to try and soothe the ache that was growing. “Kaeya, it’s starting to hurt.”
“What is?” He was on his feet now, running to the other side of the bed to help you sit up. “Is it the baby?”
“I don’t know,” You answered, “I think so. It hurts here.” You motioned to the area underneath your baby bump and frowned. Kaeya helped you get out of bed and change clothes.
“Can you walk?” You nodded. There were spouts of pain with periods of calmness and you were ready to take advantage of those. You and Kaeya weren’t sure what to do. Fortunately, you had set up the guest bedroom a week ago. Unfortunately, your midwife was out of town this week.
“This wasn’t supposed to happen until next week,” You said, your voice shaking, “I don’t want to have the baby yet.”
Kaeya chuckled, “That’s not an option.”
Still dazed from your sleep, Kaeya led you to the guest bedroom and you sat on the edge of the bed. Your husband stripped the sheets off the other bed while you rested. Slowly, the fact you were going to have a baby that day was creeping into your mind. You were ready, you knew you were, but the thought was still scary. And your midwife wasn’t around.
Kaeya came back to the bedroom and rubbed your back comfortingly. You were still sitting on the edge of the bed, stiff as a board, eyes squeezing shut and your body tensing when a contraction hit.
“Can you do it yourself?”
His words made you look up in shock. Your husband couldn’t be suggesting you give birth without a guide, right? But when Kaeya looked back at you with a serious look, you felt your stomach drop.
“Look,” Kaeya took your hand in his, “Your midwife is out of town this week and I don’t know anyone else in Mondstadt who knows how to deliver a baby. You read books on childbirth, you’ll know what to do.”
You sucked in a deep breath. He was right - you did read a lot about labor and delivery. It would be hard without anyone there to help you but if your baby was coming, your baby was coming. Kaeya continued to rub your back as you contemplated your decision.
“I’ll do it,” You said, “But I need Jean.”
“What?”
“She’s my best friend. If I can’t have my midwife, then I want Jean.”
Kaeya knew it was useless to argue with you and the quicker he got Jean, the quicker you could get on with the process of labor.
“Alright, alright,” He said, defeated, “But don’t move.”
You promised him and Kaeya left to retrieve Jean. Alone in the house, you wandered the halls. Surprisingly, stretching your legs helped the pain slightly. You stopped outside of the door to your daughter’s nursery. There was a ‘C’ on the door and when you pushed the door open, you were met with a pastel pink wonderland.
There were photos of The Knights of Favonius on the walls and gifts from them littered the room. There was a stuffed rabbit from Amber and handmade clothes from Lisa. Even Diluc had gifted your baby a set of wooden blocks.
Your hand rubbed your baby bump gently, “Soon,” You said aloud. “Soon we’ll meet each other.”
The door to your house opened quickly and inside rushed Jean and Kaeya. Your husband frowned at the sight of you in the nursery and put his hands on his hips, “You promised me you wouldn’t leave the guest room.”
You only shrugged your shoulders and smiled.
Jean looked disheveled. She was wearing her pajamas and her hair was down from her usual ponytail. But she wore a look of determination on her face and you knew you needed her by your side throughout everything.
Once you were back in bed, your labor progressed quickly. The time between your contractions was becoming shorter and shorter and it was hard to catch your breath. Sharp pains were rocketing down your spine and bubbling in your abdomen and you didn’t know how you were going to survive this.
“Just breathe,” Jean said. She didn’t know anything about childbirth but when Kaeya came banging on her door in a panic, she knew you needed her.
Since you were in charge of your own delivery, you had to check yourself often. It was becoming increasingly harder to do but you knew it was important. “I'm seven centimeters,” You told your company. When they looked at you with a blank expression, you said, “It’s going to happen soon.”
Kaeya whispered affirmations in your ear, trying to distract you from the pain as you waited around. Jean brought you a cold washcloth and placed it on your forehead. You sighed in relief and leaned back against the mountain of pillows. While Jean looked at the various things scattered around the room, Kaeya leaned closer to your face.
“You’re a warrior,” He told you, his forehead almost touching yours. “We’re almost there. Just think about holding little Calla.”
You groaned as another contraction hit your body. “It just hurts so much.”
“I know, I know,” Kaeya pressed a kiss to your nose. You closed your eyes and tried to think about something relaxing. You knew you wouldn’t be able to fall asleep, not with contractions wracking your body every few minutes at least.
For a while, you stayed like that. Jean and Kaeya talked quietly about work in the background, pausing to look at you when a contraction hit, and birds were beginning to chirp from outside. You imagined holding baby Calla in your arms with Kaeya beside you. He would be mesmerized by your daughter and you would be so, so in love. And maybe there would be more children down the road. A nice, big family with Kaeya sounded beautiful.
You were ripped from your daydream when a horrible contraction hit your body. It was unlike the others and your legs went numb. Kaeya was by your side in an instant, noticing the change in your reaction.
A sudden urge to push overwhelmed your body. “I can’t do it,” You cried out, your hands trying to find something to grasp onto. Tears were streaming down your face and Kaeya’s heart sank. He hated seeing you like this, especially since the cause of your sadness was from your own fears.
But instead of Kaeya speaking up, Jean rested her hands gently on yours. “Look at me,” She said softly. You sniffled and turned to face your friend, “You can do this. You’re ready and you’re strong. The pain is temporary but you’ll have your baby forever.”
You nodded your head furiously and tried to zone into yourself. You repeated what your childbirth books said, waiting to push until you felt a contraction. Jean rushed around the room and Kaeya held your hand despite you crushing it.
“Is that her head?” Kaeya asked quickly, peering over your legs. He grinned and turned back to you, “Almost there! You got this!”
You had to take a pause to take a deep breath. You felt like there was water in your lungs and you wondered how a human body could endure this much pain. When the next contraction hit, you pushed as hard as you could and squeezed down onto Kaeya’s hand.
A rush of relief washed over your body like a tsunami. You were quick to reach down and pick up your baby, mouth agape that you did that all by yourself. The room was filled with silence until it wasn’t, a tiny cry breaking the air.
Jean handed you a fluffy towel and you quickly wrapped Calla in it, wiping her eyes and nose. “Congratulations,” She said softly, “She’s beautiful.”
“Thank you.” The words tumbled from your mouth in a whisper.
Kaeya kissed your forehead, “I’m so proud of you.”
childe
“She’s nesting,” Zhongli said matter-of-factly, “Like an animal.”
Truthfully, you were nesting. You wouldn’t call it nesting, of course, but the way you were arranging your birthing room was eerily similar. Your baby was due any day now and you were getting anxious about things being perfect. Your midwife had already come by to set up her things and now it was time to set up your things.
A photo of you and Childe sat on the end table, next to a copy of your latest ultrasound. Three of Childe’s sweaters were thrown over the back of the bed and when Childe asked why you needed three, you couldn’t give him a final answer.
After putting a candle down on the adjacent end table, you proudly rejoined the men in the living room.
“How’s the nest coming, Birdie?” Childe grinned, moving over so you could sit beside him.
You rolled your eyes at your boyfriend, “It’s coming along great, thank you very much.”
Childe laughed and wrapped his arm around you. You were content, feeling calm and secure in the moment. You were ready to have your baby and you refused to let it consume you. You were lost in your thoughts when Childe shook you back to reality.
“Are you peeing on me?” He asked, a confused look on his face.
“What?” You exclaimed, looking down. Your pants were soaked from something, darkening them as well as the couch. You felt a sharp pain in your abdomen and your hand raced out to hold your baby bump, “Whoa, he just kicked me hard.”
Childe raised an eyebrow at your weird behavior. “Are you okay?”
You nodded and stood up, looking at the mess you made. “Sorry, I’ll get a towel,” You said. Zhongli paid no mind, trying to understand that you were a heavily pregnant woman, while Childe continued to tease you from down the hall.
You reached for the towel in the bathroom and were met with another pain. You rubbed your belly, “It’s okay, Nikolai.”
Heading back to the living room, you wore a frown on your face. “Is everything okay?” Childe asked, taking the towel from you. His jokes had died off and him and Zhongli were looking at you with concern.
“Um, I don’t think I peed myself,” You said quietly, “I don’t feel good.”
Childe jumped to his feet, “What’s wrong?” His hand came up to caress your cheek as he watched you, trying to see if something was physically wrong. “Are you hurting?”
You managed a nod before another contraction hit your body. You gasped and held onto the bed of the couch for support. “That really hurt.”
Thankfully Zhongli was a man with common sense. “Are you going into labor?” He asked, reaching out to hold onto your arms. “Where does it hurt?”
“Here,” You said, pointing to your stomach.
Zhongli nodded firmly, “I see. Are you expecting a midwife?”
“We are,” Childe answered, running a hand through his hair. “Zhongli, can you stay here while I run and grab her?”
“Certainly.”
Childe turned to look at you and cupped your face again, “Don’t stress, okay? Zhongli is going to be right here if anything happens. I’ll be back in no time.” Your boyfriend ran out the front door and you collapsed down onto the couch, breathing hard.
“Can I get you anything?” Zhongli asked, unsure of what to do. “Water?”
“I’m good,” You said, clenching your teeth. “Can you help me get to the bedroom?”
Zhongli nodded and you held onto his arm. You were trying to regulate your breathing but it was coming out in rough, short breaths instead. You stopped in your tracks when the pain came back, flowering itself inside of you. You groaned and leaned forward, Zhongli needed to wrap his arm around you to steady you.
He helped you in the bed and you instantly grabbed one of Childe’s sweatshirts off the bed. You hugged the fabric tightly and inhaled the comforting scent of your boyfriend. Zhongli paced the room, getting more concerned when your pain was only increasing.
But, thankfully, Childe and your midwife returned home quickly. Zhongli wished you the best and took his leave. You were still holding onto Childe’s sweatshirt.
Your midwife checked you and you were only three centimeters dilated. “I think this is going to be a slow process,” She said sympathetically, “Is there anything you want to do in the meantime?”
“Can I take a bath?” You asked, your ears perking up.
She nodded, “Just call for me if needed.”
Childe helped you out of the bed and kissed the top of your head before helping you to the bathroom. He filled the bath and stripped your clothes, helping you into the tub. Childe sat on the toilet, an excited grin on his face.
“What are you smiling about?” You asked, a smile creeping onto your lips too.
“Just thinking about how we’ll have a baby to hold tonight,” He said. “Teucer is going to be so excited when he hears.”
You hummed in response and leaned back, submerging your body fully in the water. Surprisingly, being in the water helped with your pain. You still felt contractions but they weren’t as breathtaking in the bath. You stayed in the bath for what seemed like hours.
Suddenly, something snapped inside of you. “Oh, shit,” You cried out, hunching forward. “Get the midwife, Childe!”
Your boyfriend shot off his feet to grab your midwife while you cried out again. She hurried into the bathroom and bent down to you. “I’m going to check you.” Her face paled slightly after removing her fingers, “You need to give birth now.”
“What?” You nearly screamed, “Right now?”
“The bath must have sped up the process,” Your midwife explained. You looked at Childe and panic coursed through your eyes. You tried to sit up straight, ready to get out of the bath, but your midwife stopped you. “There’s really no time to dry off and move to the bed. You’ll have to give birth here.”
Your eyes widened, “But I’m in the bath!”
“It’s safest this way,” She said. Your midwife instructed Childe to get some things and when he came back, he sat by the edge of the tub and held your hand. “You’ll need to push the next time you feel a contraction.”
A feeling of upset was bubbling in your throat, “But...but everything is in the bedroom.” You thought about the photos and the candle and the sweatshirts and felt tears welling in your eyes. You wanted to have your baby in the bedroom, not here.
Childe kissed your fingertips, catching your attention. “I’m sorry this wasn’t your plan,” He said, “But you need to listen to your midwife. You want to meet Nikolai, right?”
You nodded, a few tears falling loose. “I do,” You said.
“Then lets have a baby.”
Childe wrapped his hand tightly around yours and interlocked your fingers. He squeezed it comfortingly and didn’t even flinch when your contraction hit and you nearly broke his fingers. You let out a string of curses, mostly towards Childe, and pushed.
“This sucks! This really sucks!” You cried out, wondering how you were going to get through this.
“You can do it!” Childe assured you.
“Almost there,” Your midwife said, “I see the head.”
It took one more contraction for your son to be born. Immediately, he was placed on your chest and you had to shake your head to focus on reality. “Oh my god,” You muttered, turning to look at Childe. He was grinning ear to ear.
Your midwife wrapped the baby in a towel, cleaning his nose and mouth, before handing him to Childe. She helped you get out of the bath and you almost fell over, your legs feeling like jelly. She wrapped a bigger towel around you and as you gazed behind her, all you could see was the beautiful way Childe looked down at your son.
zhongli
“Watch out, pregnant woman coming through!”
Xinqiu and Xiangling held onto your arms as Chongyun cleared a path through the crowd. Like usual, the teenagers were being your honorary protectors while Zhongli was at work. They took you to the Wanmin Restaurant and Xiangling disappeared momentarily to bring out platters of food.
Your midwife told you that it was best for you to stay home, since your due date was at the end of the week, but you thought one last outing with the kids couldn’t hurt.
“You’re getting bigger each time you come around,” Chef Mao called through the opening of the storefront.
You laughed, “Well, I’m almost at term!”
Xiangling piled your plate high with food, “More for the baby.” Frankly, it was nice being pampered by the teenagers like this. They were selfless, especially towards your unborn baby, and everyday they surprised you.
You were shoving a dumpling in your mouth when an odd feeling struck your abdomen and water gushed onto your pants, the seat, and the ground. Based on your facial expression, the kids knew something was wrong.
“What’s happening?” Xinqiu asked.
“I think my water just broke,” You told him, groaning as a harsh pain swept over you.
“Oh, no.”
In that moment, you were reminded that despite their maturity, they were still children. Panic spread throughout the three of them and they began debating what to do with you.
“Let’s bring her to the infirmary!” Xiangling argued.
“Why would we do that? Let’s bring her home!” Xingqiu shot back.
You held back another groan, “Guys, don’t fight about this.”
But they didn’t seem to hear you. Chongyun’s eyes flickered back and forth before running a hand through his hair, “I think you should bring Y/N home and I’ll get Zhongli.”
“We need to go now,” You said. Xiangling and Xingqiu held onto your arms like before and immediately started towards your house. Chongyun took off in the opposite direction. “Fuck, this hurts,” You muttered, stopping to ride out a contraction. “Excuse my language.”
“It’s okay, we know you’re in pain,” Xiangling says.
Finally, the teenagers get you home and you sit down on the couch. You would wait to move to the bedroom when Zhongli came home. You breathed deeply and Xinqiu spoke up, “Look on the bright side, it’s only going to get worse from here. So this can’t be that bad, right?”
Xiangling glared daggers at him, “I thought you were smart.”
You couldn’t help but laugh at their banter. The pain you were experiencing was worse than anything you had ever felt in your life but with the kids nearby, the pain was bearable. They would make great siblings to your daughter.
Chongyun and Zhongli burst through the front door, startling you. Your midwife was right behind them. Your head was hanging low and you were clenching your jaw each time a contraction hit. His large hands rested on your back and he rubbed your shoulders, “Thank you, kids. I’ve got it from here.”
“Good luck!” Xiangling beamed before ushering the two boys out the door with her.
Zhongli lifted you up by your shoulders and his heart nearly broke when he saw your face. Your eyes were wet and puffy and your nose was already stuffy. Any calmness you had was gone as pure panic and pain overtook your senses.
“Can you stand?” He asked, wanting to move you to the bedroom. You shook your head and Zhongli managed to pick up your body, carrying you to the bedroom. He helped you change before you climbed into the bed, feeling dazed and scared at the same time.
Your body felt weak and you hadn’t even begun giving birth. Your midwife was talking to you but you couldn’t seem to pay attention.
“I’ll need your help,” She said to Zhongli, “You’ll need to grab her leg and hold it steady.” He nodded and did as told. Your midwife grabbed your other leg and you barely looked up. You could feel the pain and you knew what was going on, but you couldn’t comprehend it. The pain was unbearable but you did what your body was telling you.
A gasp left your mouth and Zhongli said something to you. There was pressure and pain, a lot of pain, and then suddenly it was gone. The last thing you saw before your vision went black was the blurry silhouette of your baby.
When you came to, the room was quiet. Your eyes adjusted to the light and you looked around before stopping on your husband. Zhongli sat in the rocking chair in the corner of the bedroom, holding a little bundle in your arms.
“Hey,” You said, your voice hoarse and low. Zhongli looked up and immediately came over to you. Without words, your baby was placed in your arms. “She’s so tiny.”
“I was so worried,” Zhongli said, brushing your hair back to press a kiss to your forehead. “How do you feel?”
“Sore and tired and achy.”
Zhongli slid into the bed next to you and wrapped his arms around your frame, leaning his chin on your shoulder. “She has your nose,” He whispered. Despite having a traumatic labor, it was all worth it.

KINKTOBER DAY TWENTY-FOUR: alpha!beefy!bucky + tiny!omega!reader + heat/rut sex + breeding kink
Tumblr media
You were humming to yourself as you fluffed the pillows you had laid on your bed; whatever you had in the apartment that was categorized as ‘soft’, you had it on the bed. Your heat was close, too close even. You could pick up the telltale signs of your pre-heat, hence the nest you had built. Your body was too warm lately, you got aroused a lot more easily than you usually did. You knew that your scent had changed, too. The looks you got while walking down the street after doing a week’s worth grocery shopping told you enough.
Only thing left to do was waiting for it to hit you.
That and, of course, waiting for Bucky, your Alpha, to come home from the mission he had to go at the last minute. He assured you that it wasn’t going to take long, but it had been four days already. Your body and soul were missing him terribly in the huge bed. The only thing that soothed you enough to get over a couple more days was hugging his pillow and wearing his clothes.
Getting off the bed, you padded towards the kitchen silently. You were still humming to yourself, a song you had heard at the grocery store, when the first of the cramps hit you out of nowhere. You gasped, putting one of your hands on the fridge, the other was placed on your stomach.
Fucking cramps.
You hated them. They were always, always, painful when Bucky wasn’t around. He knew how to soothe, rub and what you needed. He wasn’t here by your side at the moment, though. You sighed and sniffed softly, missing your husband’s, your Alpha’s, presence terribly, you sat down on the chair that was in the kitchen. He asked for you to stay at the tower specifically even though he knew that you’d be more comfortable at your own place in Brooklyn, he needed you to stay at the tower for your safety.
That meant that you had a friend to talk to.
“Hey, Jarvis?” You called out to the AI. “You there?”
“Yes, Ms. Barnes. How can I help you?” You sighed at the soothing voice of the computer. You always liked how softly Jarvis would speak.
“Is there any news on their arrival? My heat started,” you murmured, both hands now clutching at your stomach as you breathed through another cramp.
“They’re on their way back, Ms. Barnes,” Jarvis said, “ETA an hour.” You nodded, knowing that he could see you through the cameras scattered around the floor, and thanked him quietly. Waiting for the cramp to go away, you thought you could make yourself a hot chocolate until you got really desperate. You hated starting your heat without Bucky there; none of the toys you have was him, didn’t carry his scent nor as warm as him. So, you were to wait for an hour.
After what felt like a century, you got up. Your moves were slow and careful not to set off another cramp. You filled the kettle with water and turned the thing on; you needed your hot water bag so badly. Then, you pulled the ingredients for the hot chocolate: Bitter chocolate, cinnamon sticks, brown sugar, a little ginger and milk. You mixed them in silence. The sweet and heady aroma of the chocolate and cinnamon spread around the whole floor, and you hummed happily.
As the kettle went off, your hot chocolate was ready. You filled the water into its bag and the chocolate into a big cup. Adding a couple marshmallows on top, you put the rest the chocolate on top of the marshmallows. You were a chocolate monster when you were heat, and Bucky didn’t like the consumption of chocolate you went through, so you had to take your dosage before he came home.
You walked back to the bedroom; totally planning on burying yourself under the thick and soft linens and duvet, with your hot water bag under your feet and against your back, sipping your hot cocoa until your husband arrived.
What you didn’t plan on, though, was to fall asleep after you finished your cocoa, definitely buried under the duvet.
You jumped awake with the sudden pain. Your cramps were getting stronger, more painful, and Bucky still wasn’t home. You whined pitifully. Tears ready roll down, you whimpered and rubbed your face into his pillows, breathing his scent deeply.
“Jarvis?” You whined. “Where the fuck is my husband?”
“The quinjet had a problem and they had to land somewhere else, Ms. Barnes. ETA has changed from an hour to unknown,” Jarvis answered you. He sounded genuinely sorry, and not that you could blame the freaking computer for it. You whimpered again at the ‘unknown’ and sniffed.
“Thanks, J,” you murmured. You heard him mumbling something back, but you were way too lost in your head.
You wanted your husband here, your Alpha. Your body was yearning and calling out for him, and he wasn’t here to make everything okay. You needed his scent; from his skin, not his pillows. The scent on the fluffy thing was almost washed off, anyway. You needed him here to renew it, make everything okay and stop the pain. Bucky was the only one who could stop the pain, but he wasn’t here to stop it.
Mewling sadly, you sniffed and rubbed your face in his pillow once more.
You felt a cramp kick in with the sniff of his faint scent; your body was burning, sweat had gathered on your forehead long time ago, you gasped. Everything was too much: Too hot, too painful, too empty. You thought about your toys, thought about delaying, keeping yourself entertained until he came, but your body denied the thought with a stronger wave of cramp and you bowed forward, gasping one more time.
You hadn’t realized how much time passed until you heard a bag dropping onto the ground sound. Sniffling, you lifted your head off the pillow, out of the lump you had created and looked at the door. You could sense him; his presence was there.
Your Alpha was home.
──
Bucky sighed deeply as he watched the elevator doors open for him and let him step into his floor in the tower.  His bag was hanging on his shoulder as he toed off his boots; he had untied his laces while he was in the quinjet. With a grunt, Bucky dropped the bag on the ground. He rolled his shoulders, stretched a little.
There was a little hitch in the quinjet, but it was nothing Tony couldn’t handle. The hitch delayed their arrival for about an extra hour, but he was home at the end of the day nonetheless. All he wanted to do was to eat something, shower and hit the hay. He was exhausted. The mission was a short but rough one; all the unexpected things happened and plan had gone sideways. They had to improvise, but they made do.
It was a bit hard for him to focus with the silent buzzing that had started to go off under his skin two days into the mission, though.
Whistling to himself, Bucky walked towards the kitchen and opened the fridge. Seeing that it was fuller than he was expecting, he let out a surprised ‘ha!’.
“Sweetheart?” He called out as he pulled a small Tupperware filled with mini-sandwiches and the milk box. Bucky popped one of the sandwiches in his mouth and filled a glass of milk. He probably needed to eat more than these sandwiches, but these were the fastest ones he could get his hands on at the moment. He quickly chewed and swallowed. “Baby? Where are you?” He called out again, but frowned in the middle of his bite because there wasn’t an answer.
“Jarvis, is Y/N home?” He asked the AI after he downed his milk in one go.
“Yes, Sergeant Barnes, she is,” Jarvis answered politely. Bucky’s frown deepened. Closing the lid over the sandwiches, he walked out of the kitchen softly.
“Then where is she? Why isn’t she answering?” He questioned, but Jarvis didn’t answer him either. Bucky, now worried, ran to the bedroom. Bucky swung the door open. “Honey─”
The scent that hit him on the face had knocked him back a couple steps.
Heat.
You were in your heat.
Bucky felt the buzzing increase and he let out a quiet growl: Your scent drove him crazy the second he took a whiff of it, and he was angry at himself for leaving you alone while being so close to your heat.
“Fuck,” he cursed silently, shaking his head to clear his mind, he marched inside to check up on you. He could see all the soft linens and pillows you’ve had on the floor scattered around the bed, could also see the small lump under the covers.
“Baby girl?” He called out softly, being careful about not to startle you. He heard a whimper that was followed by a sniff, and he felt his heart break. “Oh, you sweet thing. I’m here,” he murmured. “I’m home, baby, Alpha’s home.”  He heard one more sniff and then he saw your head popping out under the duvet.
Your hair was a mess and you’ve been crying; it was so easy to tell just by looking at your eyes: They were red and a little swollen. You were also sweating a bit. Bucky leaned forward and placed his hand on your cheek. His fingers were quick to tuck a couple strands of hair behind your ear, he rubbed your lips with his thumb.
Whimpering again, you leaned into his touch. You’ve missed him so much. So much.
“I know, baby,” Bucky whispered, like he could read your mind. “I’m here, it’s okay. We’re gonna make this okay, alright? ‘m gonna make the pain go away.” He kissed your forehead; his lips were so soft and soothing against your heated skin. Your nose was right over his pulse where his scent was the strongest, you gasped, inhaling deeply.
You grabbed him, anywhere you could. You grabbed him and tugged on his t-shirt. You needed skin-to-skin contact, and his t-shirt was getting in the way. You huffed a little when the t-shirt refused to fall apart under your grip. Bucky took a hold of your wrists and kissed inside of your palms.
He hushed your whimpers gently when he pulled away to take the t-shirt off. Your whimper turned into a pleased hum as he placed his warm body onto yours.
Bucky was always so freaking warm, his skin was always so freaking smooth… You loved the feeling of his naked body onto yours. It made you feel like you were loved and cherished for real; like you were wrapped in his love and his devotion with his warm skin marking you the gentlest way ever.
“There ya go, sweet love,” Bucky murmured. He was rubbing his wrists anywhere he could reach on your body, making sure that he was covering you with his scent. When he made sure that you were at least half-covered in his scent, he lifted himself off the bed to shed his remaining clothes. Thanking God silently that he got rid of his boots already, he pulled his pants off with his boxers and moved closer to you immediately.
“Can I get inside, honey? Am I allowed in your nest?” Bucky asked. His eyes were dark with arousal that your scent had woken in him. He knew that as soon as he got you to come at least once, he was going to dive head-first into his rut. I should let Jarvis know, he thought. But gotta get in the nest first.
He heard you sniff and hustle under the covers. Then, the soft linens and duvet were lifted, making a small place for him in the nest, and Bucky jumped right in.
“Thank you, sweetheart,” he whispered, his hands roaming your naked body. You must have gotten rid of your clothes when you started to sweat; that was what you tended to do. Bucky grabbed you by your neck, squeezing just a little to get you to relax, and placed your face into the crook of his neck. He knew that you must be deprived of his scent, so he should have got that taken care of first. He murmured sweet nothings and placed soft kisses on your face as you breathed his scent in deeply.
After a couple minutes later, Bucky felt the shift in the air: The sad, yearning and desperate air had changed into a hunger, aroused and desperate one. Bucky hummed.
“Mmm,” you hummed at the sound. “Alpha, please,” you murmured. Your eyes were closed, but Bucky didn’t need to see your face or your eyes to know that if you were aroused.
Your scent was letting him know faster than that.
“Hmm,” Bucky hummed once again. “What do you want, baby? Hm? You want me to love on you? Kiss you all over?” You whined. “No?” You huffed as you wiggled against him. “You want it rough, kitten? You want me to just take take and take, knot you until I can’t?” Your whimper was filled with approval, and Bucky chuckled. “I won’t stop,” he murmured. “You know that baby. You know that if I start goin’, I won’t stop until I’m finished. We did that before.”
Oh, you thought, that we did and it was fucking amazing.
“You’re one eager and hungry kitten,” Bucky whispered in your ear as he licked over your scent gland, where his bite situated perfectly. You moaned as you turned around, thighs wet from the slick you’ve been producing since the morning, and rubbed your ass against his rock-hard cock. Bucky grunted an appreciative moan into your ear. “Baby…”
“Alpha, please?” You looked at him over your shoulder. “Please, I’ve been hurting, please.” Bucky closed his eyes for a second and took a deep breath to calm down. Your ass was constantly rubbing against his hard-on a little faster now, and Bucky knew he was about to snap.
Growling, Bucky rolled onto you, caging you in his arms, face down on the bed. “Omega,” he groaned. You went limp at his voice tone: It was your aroused and in rut Alpha. Bucky pulled himself off you for a second, and you took advantage of it by lifting your ass up: Presenting. “Oh, fuck,” Bucky moaned behind you. You whined lightly. Bucky’s large hands placed themselves on your ass and he pulled your body towards his, making you sit on his thick thighs.
“Alpha, Bucky, please,” you whined. Your stomach was cramping and your pussy was clenching around nothing, you wanted Bucky to engulf you already but he was taking his sweet time. You moaned, eyes closing, when you felt a cramp hit you. “Fuck, please! It hurts!”
Bucky didn’t waste another second when he saw the tear rolled down on your cheek. He grabbed himself, lining it up, he slid inside of you with one, slow move.
Both of you moaned in relief.
The cramp dissipated as soon as Bucky slid inside of you; your walls were now clenching around something. You felt your thighs tremble and your stomach tighten. You knew that it wasn’t going to take you a long time to come; in fact, you were going to come if he were to thrust in the next few seconds.
“Fuuuck,” Bucky groaned loud and long behind you. His hold on your ass went even tighter; you could feel his blunt nails digging in your soft flesh there. You gasped and let your head fall back, rest on his metal shoulder. “God, kitten, you’re clenching around me so tight.”
You just mewled, holding onto his arms tighter. You moved your hips against his, practically riding him, and Bucky grunted out a sound of approval. Supporting yourself by holding onto his arms, you started to move yourself on him, riding him, faster. Your sweat covered skin was making obscenely wet sounds when it met with his, and all the sounds were getting to your head.
“Alpha,” you mewled again, turning your head to bury your nose in his neck where his scent coming off the strongest. “Take me, Alpha,” you moaned, “Please!”
Growling and grunting, Bucky pushed you face down on the bed harshly, punching a breath out of your lungs. He kept his metal hand between your shoulder blades and started to snap his hips against yours with a punishing pace. Your hips were on the air, your chest was pressed against the warm bed sheet and Bucky’s flesh was grabbing your ass tightly, squeezing it and slapping it.
“You’re so crazy for it, aren’t ya?” He spat. His face was contorted with the raw desire he was feeling, his hair was a mess and his body was already glistening with a light sheen of sweat. His thick thighs were hitting against yours with each thrust, his balls kissing your clit whenever he slammed back inside, and you were going mad. “You’re fuck’n droolin’ for it, honey.”
You were. The wet patch on the sheet was visible to anyone who was capable of seeing. You whimpered. You wanted him to touch you there, play with you, but words were refusing to serve you at the moment. So, you whimpered even louder.
Bucky hushed and cooed at you softly. His hips never halting, not even for a second, Bucky leaned forward, placing his metal hand right next to your head and he slipped his flesh hand down to your mound.
“I can feel myself there,” he whispered right into your ear. “I can feel my cock strokin’ your soft walls, honey love,” he continued. His thrusts were a bit slower now, more sensual. You moaned, gasped and sighed. He was filling you so perfectly, up to the brink, stretching you so nice, you loved it. You loved how crazy it always drove you. Feeling his even thicker knot at the base of his cock whenever he ground down had you clenching your thighs and bit back a gasp.
“Bucky─ oh, shit!” You gasped loudly as he pressed his hand on your mound deeper. You could feel him there, too. You could feel his gorged mushroom tip stroking your walls sensually. You moaned and bit down on the bed sheet, your hands flying to grab some part of his body and your nails found his bubbly ass, digging themselves there.
Bucky grunted at the small, unexpected pain. “Y’like that? Huh? That got you goin’?” He draped his big, warm and muscled body on top yours fully, caging you under him. You purred in delight. You loved whenever he caged you like this, whenever he smothered you with his body and scent and heat. “Yeeeah, you love that shit.”
“Mmm,” you hummed loudly. “I do, Alpha.” You carefully raised your hips and ground against him. His cock was in so deep, you could feel its heaviness on your toes.
Bucky purred at your back, releasing all kinds of happy and aroused Alpha pheromones. He slid both of his hands under you; his metal one was across your chest, his metal fingers were brushing against your nipples and eliciting whorish moans out of you while his flesh one was around your waist, hand still on your mound, still feeling the bulge his cock was creating on your lower abdomen. He moved his thighs, getting them under yours even more, making you practically half-laying on his lap, he dropped his pelvis down onto yours.
“Fuck,” you breathed as he somehow managed to slide even deeper. “Fuck, Bucky─ Deep,” you moaned. “So fucking deep, oh my God…”
You heard his dark chuckle against your ear. “All the better to put a pup in that womb of yours, pretty,” he whispered, his hot breath licking your cheeks. You gasped at his words. “Yeah, baby. We ain’t gettin’ outta this bed without me knocking you up, without making this bulge,” he pressed his hand on the bulge again, practically cupping his own cock through you, “a baby bump.”
“Oh, shit!”
Bucky smirked and started to snap his against yours again. This time the pace he set was more desperate, more delirious and more pleasurable. He was in way too deep inside of you. His cock was stroking tender places that you didn’t know they existed. His metal fingers were playing with your nipples; pinching and pulling them harshly, groping one of them in the metal palm and squeeze. With each thrust, each wet, obscene sound that echoed through your bedroom walls was rapidly pushing both of you towards the edge. You could feel Bucky’s thick knot getting bigger and bigger, and at one point his knot slid inside of you; making his thrusts turn into filthy grinds.
“Fuck, baby,” he moaned in your ear. “Do you have any idea how tight you are? How good you smell? How owned you look?” You swallowed your spit, choking on a moan while doing it so. “I’ma make you look even more owned, honey.” Bucky ground his hips, hitching you up on his lap even more, angle feeling even deeper. You gasped. “I’ma put a baby in you, honey love. Then, I’ma watch you grow round with my pup. Gonna make you walk around with only your bra so that I can see my pup growing and moving in you.”
“Bucky!” Moaning and shouting, your orgasm hit you out of nowhere. You trashed in his arms, wiggled your hips, tightened your hold on his ass and threw your head back on his shoulder. Bucky growled.
“Yeah,” he groaned, “Y’re already milkin’ my cock, sweet Omega,” he murmured. “Your pussy is eager to get knocked up, innit? Hm? It’s beggin’ for my come, it’s ready for me, ain’t it?”
“Yea!” You shouted, “It is! It’s ready! Please!” You wiggled in his arms even more. Your thighs were clenching and cramping on his thick ones. “Gimme it, Alpha, please! Please put a pup in me!”
Growling, roaring, Bucky snapped his hips as much as he could while his knot was locked up in you. It was pulling the sensitive opening and creating a sweet pain there, but you loved that. You loved feeling his big knot. You moaned. You brought your hands to over his, holding them tight, you looked over your shoulder to his almost black eyes.
“Breed me, Alpha, put a pup in me, please,” you whined, high and very feminine, and purred. Bucky shouted, and then his shout turned into a loud growl and his knot popped into you. Covering your soft and hungry walls with his come, Bucky bit down on his mating mark again, causing you to shiver violently and came again, drowning you into the pleasure.
You must have blacked out because when you came back to yourself, Bucky was still locked up into your but didn’t look as tired and sweaty as he was before. You hmphed, stretching a little, a satisfied moan escaped from your mouth.
“Ah,” Bucky murmured lovingly, “There is my pretty Omega.” You felt your face heating up and smiled at him adorably. Bucky chuckled. “How are you feeling, love?” You hummed, stretching even more, and draped your naked body over your mate’s. “That good, huh?” You nodded against his equally naked body, kissing the soft skin under your lips. Bucky ushered you to sit up a little and handed you a bottle of water. “Drink some, baby,” he instructed, helping you with it since your limbs were nothing but noodles.
You felt the cold water running inside of your body, you moaned in relief. “You were thirsty, huh?” Bucky joked, smiling all too smugly to himself. You elbowed him lightly but you were smiling as well. “Here, eat this, too.” Putting a small piece of sandwich in your mouth, Bucky had fed you almost one, whole sandwich.
“Hmmm,” you hummed as you draped yourself over his body yet again. Bucky stroked your hair. You wiggled your hips, pulling on the knot just a little, Bucky hissed. “Alpha,” you whined.
“Ssh,” Bucky hushed you, “It’s alright, love.” Kissing your temples, Bucky hugged your body tightly, his hips were moving with small thrusts. He was careful not to pull on the knot, but he was able to grind deep while still locked in. You hummed a moan out. Bucky turned your head towards his by gripping your chin with his two fingers, he kissed you.
“You know the real fun is just starting, honey love.”
And before you could answer, you were flipped over again, and already close to coming.
──
It wasn’t a surprise when you found out you were pregnant with Bucky’s pup a month later, when your heat didn’t visit you.
You sure as hell celebrated the news with Bucky as if you were in heat.

Hey there! Hope you are having a great day!🙂 could u please write a Percabeth fic with badgirl!Annabeth and kind of Nerdy!Percy? Perhaps in 🛏 Percy flips the tables where he is SUPER dominant and he uses Annabeth’s kinks against her? Sorry if that’s 2 specific!
ooo an au and a smut? i'll do my best!
sidenote- i'm such a sucker for pet names so 'doll', 'darlin'' and 'babygirl' are gonna make frequent appearances
i don't think there are any warning needed
----------------------------
"Annabeth, please, I need to concentrate." Percy frowned at the papers in front of him, puzzling over the maths. Annabeth sighed, flopping on the bed, her black leather jacket creaking as she threw her hands behind her head.
"I'm bored, Seaweed Brain," she lightly kicked the back of his chair with a boot. "And you've been staring at the same problem for twenty minutes so clearly you are too." Annabeth leaned up on her forearms, blonde twists tucked behind her ear. "What, I'm not as interesting as marine biology?"
Percy chuckled, but his eyes stayed fixed on the paper. "You're plenty interesting, but right now I really need to figure this out, okay?"
Annabeth sat up properly. "Can I help?"
"You're a genius at architecture and ancient Greek, babe, but marine biology has unfortunately never been a hyperfixation of yours." Percy noted something down on the paper and Annabeth's heart fluttered at the petname. It wasn't often that her boyfriend called her anything other than 'Annabeth', 'Annie', 'Beth' or 'Wise Girl'.
The leather jacket was shrugged off and Annabeth was left in black ripped jeans and a tank top, sleeves dipping to her hipbones. "Perce, you gotta relax," she stood behind his chair and rested her hands on his shoulders. Her lips touched his ear as she leant down. "I know, for a fact, I can help with that."
Percy reached up and lightly stroked her cheek, but returned his attention to his damn work. "I'm serious, Beth, I have to finish this by tomorrow."
Eyes rolling, Annabeth threw herself back on the bed. Clearly, being subtle wasn't working. Well, desperate times called for desperate measures.
"Honey, I'm bored, and I want attention. Specifically your attention." She fixed her eyes on the back of his head. "I want it now, Percy. Get over here."
There was a tense pause. Percy's pencil stopped scratching across the page.
He sighed.
"You're so demanding."
...that was a different tone than Annabeth was used to.
It didn't matter, she was ready to be in control. Percy silently got up from the desk and neatly tucked his chair in, picking up Annabeth's leather jacket from the bed and placing it on the back of the chair. Annabeth made to stand up from the bed, but Percy's hand pushed her back down.
"No, you wanted my attention, right?"
Annabeth paused. This was different. "...yes"
"Then strip."
Percy's voice was deep, commanding, and Annabeth shifted slightly on the bed. "What?"
He placed his hands either side of her thighs, eyes focused on hers. "I don't think I need to repeat myself, baby, do you?"
Oh fuck. Annabeth was so screwed.
Percy backed away, arms folded and giving her space. She stood, uncomfortably aware of her slightly shaky legs, and somewhat inelegantly kicked off her boots. No reaction. She shimmied out of her jeans and tossed them on the floor. No reaction. She pulled off her shirt and tossed that too. About to pull off her bralette, Percy held up his hand to stop her.
"Sit up on the bed."
Annabeth raised her eyebrows. "Since when did you start giving me orders?" She loved this new side, but oh boy was she gonna make him work for it.
The dark smile on Percy's face sent electricity through Annabeth's body. "Since when did you start obeying them, darlin'?"
He moved forward, so close they were almost chest to chest. "Now, be a doll, and sit on the bed. Leaning against the headboard, if you'd be so kind."
Annabeth moved onto the bed almost before realising it. Her breath caught in her throat as Percy grabbed his shirt and pulled it off, revealing toned, lean muscles.
Percy's eyes were dark, a shadowy green that pierced into Annabeth's smoky greys as he knelt on the bed, lowering his head to press kisses down Annabeth's thighs.
Shaky breaths left Annabeth as he kissed closer and closer to the line of her underwear. He winked as he nipped at her skin, pulling a gasp from her. "What, no retort? No witty comeback, Wise Girl?"
"Fuck o-" Annabeth choked on her words as Percy licked a stripe up her clothed pussy.
"That's what I thought," he whispered and leaned up, taking the material between his teeth and dragging it down, lifting her hips to pull the underwear down her legs and throw them across the floor.
Annabeth's head was whirling. Her sweet nerd had a whole other side to him and she felt out of her depth in the best way.
She slapped a hand across her mouth as Percy flicked and writhed his tongue, stifling the moans that threatened to spill out. A sharp slap to the outside of her thigh jolted her body, and she looked down to see Percy glaring at her.
"Don't you dare."
He dove back in and Annabeth's back arched, hands fisted in the sheets as her eyes squeezed shut and moans filled the room. Percy trailed his fingers so slowly across her skin she almost screamed when he plunged them into her, the new sensation lighting her on fire.
"Perce, fuck, more!"
Immediately, Percy pulled away, leaving his girlfriend panting and whining. "I don't think you're in the position to make demands, babygirl."
Annabeth pouted. "What? You just stopped, why?"
"You demanded attention like a brat," Percy shrugged, sitting back on his heels. "And now I'm giving it to you, you think you deserve more?"
A shiver ran down her spine as Annabeth registered the tone and the fact that her sweet, usually submissive boyfriend just called her a brat.
"Tell you what," Percy trailed a finger down her stomach. "If you ask nicely, and be a good girl for me, I'll give you what you want." He smirked. "Sound good?"
Annabeth tried her hardest to not instantly say yes, to retain some of her dignity. She was the tough one, the one everyone knew not to fuck with, and now she was on the verge of begging her boyfriend to fuck her.
She nodded.
"That's my girl." Percy beckoned her to sit up and grabbed the back of her neck, pulling her into a fierce kiss. His lips were a soft contrast to his behaviour, and she smiled into the kiss.
All too soon, Percy pulled away, but kept his hand on her neck. "Now, darlin', ask me for what you want."
She swallowed any uncertainty. "I want you... I want you to fuck me."
Percy shook his head. "That sounds like a demand, babygirl. Try again."
The fucker wanted her to beg.
"...please, Percy, please fuck me, I'll be good, I promise!"
The dark smile that spread over his face settled a pleasantly tight feeling in Annabeth's lower stomach. Percy pushed her back so she laid on the bed, and he kicked off his jeans and underwear. "That's much better, darlin'." He reached into the drawer by the bed and withdrew a condom, tearing open the packet and rolling the latex onto his cock. He slid back in between her legs, head dipping into the crook of her neck. Annabeth pushed against Percy's hips as his lips made contact with her skin, and both moaned at the friction.
"You're so gorgeous, baby." Percy nipped at her skin, leaving a trail of red marks in his wake.
"Perce, please, stop teasing me," Annabeth looped her arms around his neck and pulled him into a sloppy kiss, pressing her body up against his. "I asked nicely, please, plea-"
Annabeth cried out and threw her head back as Percy thrust into her. He kept an unrelenting pace, and it was all she could do to hold onto him.
"This what you wanted, huh?" Percy's heavy breath was on her neck, his voice directly in her ear. "You wanted my attention, you finally got it, right?" Annabeth didn't answer, eyes closed and mind clouded with lust and pleasure. Percy slapped her thigh, snapping his hips into her hard. "Answer me, babygirl."
Annabeth shrieked. "Yes! Yes, this is what I wanted, Percy, thank you baby, I got what I wanted!"
Percy chuckled lowly into her neck. "That's my girl."
He sped up the pace, hitting that spot inside her that had her toes curling, stomach clenching, nails digging into his shoulders. "I-I'm so close Perce, don't stop, please please please don't stop-"
"Wouldn't dream of it, Wise Girl." Percy kept his movements consistent, only dragging a hand down Annabeth's body to rub circles in her clit.
Annabeth came with a scream, eyes squeezed shut and legs wrapped around her boyfriend's hips. Percy groaned deeply, reverberating in his chest as he spilled inside the condom, stilling his motions inside of her.
His arms shook with the effort to not collapse on top of her, and he gently pulled out of her. Shifting to the side of the bed, he let himself fall on the bed next to her. Removing the condom and tying off the end, he threw it expertly in the bin.
"Baby, that was just a whole new side of you, huh?" Annabeth smiled.
Percy blushed red, a stark contrast to just a few minutes ago. "Did you like it?"
She brushed his hair behind his ear. "It was new, but I did like it." She poked his shoulder. "My cute nerd has a dominant side, who knew?"
Percy grinned, and pecked her cheek. "Can I go back to my paper now, brat?"
Annabeth rolled her eyes, but smiled and shoved him off the bed. "Get back to it, Seaweed Brain."

“What is all this?”
You questioned James, Sirius, and Remus standing at your doorstep, holding pillows and blankets and bags slung across their shoulders.
It had only been a couple hours since you got back to your parents house, bidding your goodbyes to the boys off the Hogwarts Express, leaving behind a great seventh year.
You were going to stay with your parents for a little bit until you could find a little place of your own, maybe even with the people at your front door.
“A surprise sleepover,” James phrased more like a question, still looking for you to say it was okay.
You outstretched your arms, wrapping them all up in a hug just before your mother appeared behind you.
“Who’s at the door, y/n?”
“These are my favorite people,” you said in a daze, glancing between the boys.
While introducing themselves to your mother, you could see it in her eyes that she clearly loved them already. “Oh, why are we standing out here? Come on in,” your mom urged.
She led all of you into the living room where your dad was messing with a deck of playing cards. “Hello there,” he sat up awkwardly in chair.
After a mere ten minutes, your dad was aboard the train of absolutely loving them.
“Um, I was wondering if it’s alright if they sleepover,” you spoke quickly, wanting to get out of the room.
“You boys are welcome anytime,” your dad said.
“We trust you all completely,” your mother added.
“On one condition,” your dad eased. “Your mother and I need a hug as payment.”
“Payment?” you asked, laughing. “I’m not a little kid anymore.”
Your parents held their arms open wide, posing to be completely serious. “You’re always going to be our little kid.”
James and Sirius were biting back laughs. “Yeah, you’re always going to be their little kid, y/n,” Remus teased.
“Oh I think Remus should join the hug too,” your mother insisted. “And I didn’t forget about you two either, James and Sirius.”
The boys wasted no time in all bear hugging you and your parents, letting go laughing.
You went down to your room, shutting your door softly and bracing your back against it.
“I don’t know how you did it, but they literally love you already.”
“Well that makes the whole y/l/n family then, huh?”
“Oh shut up,” you said, collapsing on the bed next to Remus.
He absentmindedly started playing with your hair while the four of you talked about what you wanted to do.
“Can I play music?” Sirius asked, dragging his fingers along the vinyl sleeves.
“Mhm, pick whatever you’d like.”
James helped him pick out a Beatles song before laying down across the foot of your bed.
“Can I paint your nails, Remus?” you asked, sitting up with excitement.
And that’s how you all ended up, hours later, with your nails painted.
“Do you want food?” Sirius asked abruptly.
“It’s three am,” James stated, rubbing his eyes.
Remus yawned, passing it onto you.
You wiped the inevitable water in your eyes, speaking. “I could go snag some food— Oh! Tea or hot chocolate?”
Sirius giggled, something he only did around the four of you. “Why not both?”
Remus groaned, rolling over on his side, his fingers spread apart as he waited for them to dry. “Oh, poor Rem,” you fake sympathized with him, thumbing the side of his face playfully. He shook you off, squirming and laughing.
You and Sirius left the room, walking quietly through the hallway and downstairs, careful not to wake your sleeping parents.
Sirius looped his forefinger around your pinky as you led him to the kitchen. He flipped the light on, and started his search for a teapot. You started on the hot chocolate, pulling out eight mugs.
You sat up on the counter, tilting your head back against the cupboard. Sirius pressed himself next to you, shoulder to shoulder. “You couldn’t just choose, could you?” you asked, gesturing to the absurd amount of glasses on the other side of the kitchen.
“Shh,” he shushed you, holding a finger over his lips, laughing a little. “I obviously could not. Plus- it’s more fun,” he said mumbling against your hair, pulling you closer.
He kissed the top of your head, the both of you enjoying the quiet.
Remus and James appeared from the dark, handing in hand, looking to be clinging on for their lives. “Merlin, y/n, this house is ridiculously scary at night.”
“Don’t worry, the ghosts usually go away by now.”
“Ha ha, very funny,” Remus humored you as they picked up where you and Sirius left off.
Twenty minutes later after having helped the boys bring snacks and drinks back to your room, you walked in for the final time, finding them all squished on top of your bed. “Y’know, we all don’t have to be smashed on the bed,” you started to drag an extra comforter on the carpet, laying it out.
You threw pillows on one end as Remus crawled off the bed, soon followed by James, and of course, who was followed by Sirius. “You guys,” you laughed.
They sat up, sipping from their cups when they pleased, admiring the beautifully painted nails now all present in this room.
You laid down first, resting your head against the first pillow you threw down and without a doubt, after finishing their drinks, they did the same. “Are we seriously all going to sleep on the floor when there’s an empty bed right there?”
“It’s more interesting down here,” Remus said playfully.
“Oh yes, because I love waking up with a sore back.”
“Don't worry, I’ll wake you up with a back rub.”
“Remus, I swear— Do not wake me up,”
James and Sirius made themselves comfortable next to each other, absentmindedly playing with one another’s hands as they watched you and Remus.
“What if I do?”
“I-” you stammered over your words, trying to come up with a lighthearted threat. “I’d kiss you angrily,” the four of you laughed as you laid down in defeat.
He leaned over you, grabbing your hands, pressing them into the side of your pillow. He connected his lips to yours before lying down with the rest of you..
“I hope you like back rubs then.”

As a writer, I can't blame Calvin for having a vivid imagination. That was what I loved about him, but there is only so much someone can take. We had begun dating a few months after his book, The Girlfriend, was published and everything had been great since then. Although, after almost a year, I was beginning to notice Calvin acting weird.
I had come home one day after a somewhat stressful day at work, leave it to seventh graders to make you want to rip your hair out on a Friday, to find Calvin’s apartment empty.
“Calvin?” I called, struggling to fit myself and my three bags through the front door. I listened for a reply but nothing came.
“Calvin, sweetie?” I dropped the bags to the floor and laid my keys on the table in the entrance hallway. I climbed the stairs to his office, assuming he was writing and was just too engrossed in his writing to answer but he was nowhere to be seen.
Taking my phone out of my dress pocket, I checked it to see if I had any missed calls or texts from him, there were none. Shaking my head, I made my way back downstairs to fix a snack before I started to grade the tests I had brought home.
Calvin came walking through the front door twenty minutes before seven, something that was becoming a recurring event. He walked past me on the couch and went directly upstairs without saying a word.
I sat the test and red pen I was grading with down and watched him over the back of the couch as he trudged up to his office. Groaning a bit, I uncrossed my legs and stood up from my seat. Quietly I ascended the stairs.
“Calvin?” I asked softly as I knocked on the slightly ajar door to his office.
I heard shuffling before he answered, “Yeah?”
I opened the door and came to stand in front of his desk. I watched him leaning back in his chair, fingers rubbing his eyes. His glasses fell back into place when he stopped and sat up straight.
“Busy day?”
“I guess so.” He mumbled.
I let out a sigh as I crossed my arms.
“What?” He looked at me sternly.
“What do you mean, what?” I snapped back.
“That was a pretty deep sigh, you only do that when you’re annoyed.” He pointed.
“Well yeah, I am a bit annoyed.”
“Are you going to tell me why?” His tone was becoming harsh.
“I don’t know, will you actually listen to me if I tell you?”
He just looked at me with his eyebrows raised expectantly.
“You’ve been acting all weird lately. Leaving the apartment early, coming home late, you have barely said ten words to me in the past three days. You haven’t even been sleeping in the bed anymore, you’re either in here or asleep on the couch.” My voice started to shake with emotion. I was so stressed with work and having to deal with whatever Calvin was doing.
“I haven’t been acting weird.” He leaned on his elbows, head in his hands.
“Yes, you have,” I argued. “What is it? Are you cheating on me, hum? Is that it, are you doing everything in your power to not be around me because you have found someone else? If so, then don't let me get in the way.” I raised my voice, turned on my heel, stomped to the bedroom, and locked the door. I could feel tears prickling up in the corner of my eyes. Angrily I threw open the closet door and grabbed my suitcase and started to rip my clothes from the hangers, stuffing them inside.
“Baby?” Calvin's voice came from the other side of the door. After I didn’t answer I heard him jiggle the door handle. “Baby please, open the door.”
“No. I don’t want to talk to you.” I continued going around the room, throwing all my things into the single suitcase.
“Please, just let me explain.” He pleaded. I stopped for a second, looked back at the door, and wiped the tears from my face with my hand. Slowly I went to the door and unlocked it. Only after I had moved away from the door did Calvin open it and come into the room.
“Were you, were you going to leave?” he asked, a hint of sadness in his voice, as he pointed to the clothes I had strewn across the bed.
“Well, you didn’t seem to want me here so I might as well just go back to my own place. Thank god I didn’t sell it like you told me to.”
“Don’t leave, whatever you think, it isn't what’s going on.” He pulled on my hand, leading me to sit on the edge of the bed with him. I followed him reluctantly.
“Not what I think? Calvin, how could any of this point to anything but you cheating on me?”
He sighed as he wiped away the fresh tears streaming down my face. “I am not cheating on you.”
“Then why do you never want to be around me? Why are you never here?” I was sobbing into his shoulder by now. He just hugged me, rubbing my back sweaty, it only made me cry harder.
“I’ve been neglectful and I’m sorry, but honestly, I have never once cheated on you and I never will.” He whispered into my ear. “It’s just, and this is going to sound crazy, but a few weeks ago, I was taking Scotty out for a walk and there was a girl there. It was Ruby. Exactly how I had written her and exactly how she looked when I set her free.”
Calvin had told me the details of his book and how it was based on what really happened in her life, even going as far as to have his brother tell me about his experience with it. I remember not knowing what to think, but I eventually started to believe what Calvin was telling me, no matter how absurd it sounded.
“Oh Calvin, please don’t.” I sobbed out.
“It’s the truth, I saw her there with my own eyes. I’ve been processing it, and I still am. She was a girl I wrote to be perfect and I had to let her go and seeing her again, how I had met her in my dreams was so surreal.”
I shook my head, “No, no, I don’t want to hear you talk about a lost love or some crap like that.”
“She’s not a lost love, she was an infatuation, something my mind made up because I was lonely. It’s you I love, it will only be you that I love.” He confessed.
I looked up at him skeptically, my eyes and cheeks were swollen. I could see the emotions on his face, for as long as I had known him, he could never keep them hidden. It was then that I knew that he was telling the truth.
“If you love me then why were you avoiding me?”
“I’m sorry baby, I really am. I was trying to get my thoughts in order. I’ve been coming home late because I have been stopping by Harry’s to talk. Believe it or not, he’s actually been a big help. And as for not coming to sleep in here with you, I just didn’t want to disturb you, I’ve actually been staying up late writing.”
“About what?” I leaned back from his hold, but I kept my hands resting on his thigh.
“You.” His stare was intense.
“Me?” I pointed a finger at myself.
“Yes, you.” His right hand came up to move a piece of my hair away from my face and behind my ear.
“Can I read it?”
“When it’s done. I promise.” He kissed my cheek gently, I sniffled.
Sitting on the bed, eventually turned into laying down and after a while, we had fallen asleep in one another's arms. Something in me knew he was telling the truth, even if the Ruby Sparks story did sound insane. It was in his eyes, the truth was always in his eyes.
After we woke up the next morning, we put my clothes back where they belonged and even though the last few weeks had been hard and we had been distant, everything snapped back into place like nothing had ever happened.
“I love you,” He said tenderly as we sat on the couch curled up next to one another, Calvin reading and I, grading papers.
“I love you more,” I replied, grabbing onto his free right hand.
“Impossible.” he smiled, bringing my hand up to kiss it.

Spilled Tea - Jotaro x Reader
Word Count: 6235
After a long week, it was finally Friday. College had been gruelling and despite being let out before noon today, it took you until around seven thirty to finish your work in preparation for the next week.
So now here you sat, in your apartment dorm. You were in the comfy chair in the corner, reading a book that you had started to get into last week. Your eyes weren't really cooperating after a full day of working, but you tried nonetheless and read at a comfortable snail's pace.
That was, until about eight thirty when the door was slammed open.
Surprised, you looked up from your book only for your eyes to widen slightly. Stumbling inside was your roommate, her face in the process of being swallowed by her girlfriend.
Working hard to take off each other's coats, they just dumped them on the floor as they never broke their make-out session, not even noticing you were there in the corner since they only had eyes for each other.
As she walked backwards, your roommate took off her girlfriend's shirt and you were quick to turn your head away, placing a hand on the side of your face to act as blinders as you looked at the floor with wide-blown eyes.
Thank god they walked away from the main room and towards their bedroom, allowing you to take a breath of relief.
Your roommate had told you she was going out on a date today and you had even complimented her on her outfit, but you certainly hadn't expected this.
There was an embarrassed blush on your face at what you just witnessed. You were actually pretty sure they didn't even know you were also here. Or your roommate forgot you existed in the heat of the moment.
You wanted to snicker at that, but the noise was stifled in your throat when you heard a thump of a body being pushed against the door, followed by a low moan.
Taking that as your que, you slammed your book closed as your cheeks burned, quickly walking over to the door and putting on your shoes, opening the door and rushing out of your shared apartment with your coat in hand and one shoe still half on. You figured it was probably best to give them some... ahem... privacy.
- - - -
Having properly gotten on your shoe and coat, you were now just walking around on the streets.
The wind was nipping at your exposed skin while all you could really do was stare at the ground as you walked. You knew that you probably shouldn't get back to your apartment dorm for a while.
About a week or so ago, your roommate's girlfriend came by and started happily chatting with you when your roommate was out buying dinner. She was nice and you really liked her, but she tended to overshare a few things. Such as how 'she and Lily hadn't 'done it' in quite a while and once she got her hands on Li, they'd go all night long.'
Just thinking back on that conversation and what you witnessed ten minutes ago made you squirm a bit from embarrassment. If they wanted to do it then they should go for it. You just wished they'd done it not when you were around.
And now here you were. Walking outside in the frigid night air, your path illuminated by street lamps and the moon.
You couldn't walk outside all night long. You knew that. But what options did you have? Go back in a while in the hopes they were done? Go back regardless of whether they were done or not and just toughen it out if they weren't? Go and rent a hotel room for one night and waste your money on that? No, all of those were bad.
Looking up, you noticed your feet had automatically dragged you to the play park on a twenty minute walking distance from campus. You hung out here with Jotaro all the time, standing around quietly or sitting on the swings as you talked, you lightly swinging while Jotaro just swayed a bit.
That's when it hit you. Of course! Maybe you could go to Jotaro! He lived alone. Maybe he wouldn't mind letting you crash on his couch for one night. He wouldn't, right?
Looking at your watch, you raised your brows in a little bit of a panic. It was getting close to nine o'clock now. If you didn't hurry, you would arrive too late and wake him up from sleeping, disturbing his sleep schedule. You really wanted to avoid doing that.
So, with a pep in your step, you started speed-walking in the direction of his apartment complex.
Ten minutes later you stood in front of his door and anxiously knocked on the wood. After a second or so, you heard some shuffling and not long after, the door opened, revealing Jotaro.
He had an annoyed scowl on his face, his hat nowhere in sight as he stood in casual clothes; sweat-pants and a black t-shirt.
"Pipsqueak." His scowl softened a little as he laid his eyes on you, seeing your nervous form in front of him as you looked at the floor.
"H-Hi." You attempted a smile but it came out a little more awkward.
"What are you doing here?" Jotaro asked the question as he crossed his arms over his chest and leaned into the doorpost.
Letting out a breath, you just deflated, slumping over and just looking at the ground defeatedly. "Can I crash at your place tonight? I'd prefer to not go home for today." Raising your head up and straightening your back, you looked up to see him with a raised brow. "I can just take the couch or a chair or even the floor! And if you want I'll be gone as soon as morning comes so you won't even know I'm he-" Jotaro shut you up by putting his finger to your lips.
"Just shut up and come inside." He took a sidestep so you could pass him in the doorway, although you had to say it was a bit of a squeeze, your body accidentally brushing past his as he didn't bother moving out of the doorway to let you in.
Once you were inside, he closed the door behind you and just waited as you took off your coat and shoes, shooing you further into his dorm once you did.
"Sit." He pointed at the couch and you quickly did as he said, sitting down while he went over to his kitchenette, starting to put on a kettle for tea.
There was a bit of an awkward silence as you waited for the water to boil, the two of you too far apart to be able to converse without raising your voice so instead opting to stay silent.
Pretty soon, the kettle was whistling and Jotaro poured two mugs of tea, walking over and setting it down in front of you before placing his own cup down beside it and sitting next to you.
This surprised you slightly since he had always taken a seat opposite to you. To be fair, whenever you came over, you had always sat down in one of the two chairs he had opposite his couch, but still. Your mind drifted to what you saw tonight, what caused you to come here in the first place and for a split second you wondered if Jotaro had other intentions but you quickly shook your head to get that thought out. Jotaro did not like women. Just because you were his friend did not mean he was automatically in love with you.
"You alright?" Jotaro suddenly spoke up from beside you. He had seen your cheeks flush slightly before you shook your head and was curious what that was about. Were you thinking about him?
"Yep!" You squeaked, leaning forward to grab your tea and hiding your face behind the mug and steam. He always had these giant mugs that were perfect for holding and warming your hands on, now functioning even better since you could hide your face behind the massive thing. "Thank you for the tea and for letting me in." You muttered, your lips pressed against the rim of the cup.
Jotaro just hummed in reply before shifting a little so he could face you. "Why did you need to come here? Had a fight with your roommate?"
You lowered the cup a little and rested it on your thigh, laughing a little awkwardly. "Aha, yeah about that. No, I didn't get into a fight, she's still great. Uh, no, Lily went out on a date with her girlfriend tonight and uh, well what I didn't expect was them both coming home, right in the process of... Y'know."
"I know?" He raised his eyebrow at you.
"Y-Yeah, you know..." You stuck out your chin a bit, waving your hand in a circle as if that would make him understand what you were implying.
"Sex?"
"Y-yEs! You don't have to go out and say it so bluntly!" You frantically called out. "And, they were in the process of it, not there yet." You mumbled afterwards as you looked off to the side.
A deep chuckle sounded from your left and you turned your head to see Jotaro giving you a teasing smirk. "I didn't expect you to even know what sex was."
"W-What is that supposed to mean?!" You called back, undignified.
Jotaro just shrugged, the smirk still on his face. "With how you are. I mean, you can't even say the word."
"I-I can say it." You pouted, your cheeks flushing deeply.
"Really? Then say it."
"Why?"
"Say. It." Jotaro leaned towards you, looking into your eyes.
Having him lean so close to you flustered you and you needed to get him to back up lest you explode. "Fine! They were gonna have sex and I didn't want to be there to hear it! There, good?" You broke the eye contact and bashfully looked to your right.
"Mhm." Jotaro hummed in reply, seemingly satisfied as he sat back up, taking a sip of his tea as he leaned into the backrest of the couch. "You should've stayed around, maybe you'd have learned something from it." He commented offhandedly and you snapped your head towards him, your cheeks burning hotter than ever.
"What!? No! I- I- I- No! Just no!" You protested fervently. Either he meant you would be there to listen to their noises or he was implying that you should join them. Neither were one you were up for!
"See? You're too innocent." Jotaro scoffed amusedly, bringing his cup back to his face.
"You're mean." You pouted softly, trying to calm your heart so blood would stop rushing to your face.
"And you're dense." Jotaro retorted and you sent him a questioning glare, getting no answer in return as you just looked at each other in silence. "You can sleep here on the couch." He then said after a bit.
"Thanks." You smiled, having calmed down a little.
"I'll go get you a spare blanket." He put his cup down on the coffee table and got up with a small grunt, walking out of the main room and into the hall, presumably going to his bedroom to get the blanket.
You took a small sip of the steaming tea in the meanwhile, lowering the cup to sit on your thigh again as you waited.
About a minute or two later, Jotaro returned with a thick fluffy blanket in hand and you smiled at him, standing up to make room for the blanket, only to have your smile wiped off your face as that action caused you to tip over your mug.
The scalding tea splashed over your entire stomach and part of your left arm and a panicked and pained noise left your throat, sounding more like a drawn out grunt than a scream.
Jotaro's eyes widened and he immediately rushed over, throwing the blanket on the couch and taking the mug from your right hand, setting it down quickly before placing a hand on your shoulder and one on your good arm, looking you over.
Your breathing was fast and you quickly went to grab the hem of your shirt but Jotaro grabbed your wrist. "Don't!" He said in alarm. "Just stay here." He quickly let you go and rushed over to the kitchenette.
Grabbing a washcloth, he immediately held it under cold water, sending you a glance before quickly turning off the tap, going back over to you.
Your hands were shaking a little as you went to pick at the fabric of your shirt, trying to lift it off for at least some sort of relief. Right as you grasped it, your hand was grabbed instead and you looked up with a start to see Jotaro shaking his head at you, telling you to not do that.
He lifted your hand away from your shirt, crouching in front of you and pressing the wet washcloth to your stomach.
The water started soaking into your shirt, the coolness of it contrasting with the scalding tea, bringing some much needed relief.
Jotaro's hand was on your hip as he used it to be able to put more pressure on the cloth, wringing the water out as he dabbed it across the stain on your belly.
After a bit, he got up and re-watered the cloth before returning to the position he was in before, continuing to dab.
You hissed a little at the pain it brought when he pressed it on again before starting to chuckle through it. "I'm sorry, that was really stupid." You laughed through the pain, hearing Jotaro sigh as he sat in front of you.
"It was."
"Oi!" You lightly pushed his forearm in retaliation but it did nothing as he didn't even move a finger on your hip. "Aren't you supposed to reassure the person in pain instead of agree?"
"For once, you are right about something. I can't undersell that accomplishment." He tilted his head up a little, allowing you to see the small and teasing smirk on his face as he looked at you through his lashes.
"You're mean."
"And you're still dense. Give me your arm." Jotaro released your hip and held out his hand in front of you. You obliged and he grabbed hold of your hand, pulling your arm a little more in front of himself so he could press the washcloth onto your forearm.
After a minute or so, seeing that it was sufficiently cooled down, Jotaro got up from his crouching position.
"Take off your shirt." He said before letting you go and turning around, walking over to the kitchenette and holding the washcloth under the cold water again. He looked back as he was doing that, seeing you still in the same position, yet looking at him with wide eyes. "Take off your shirt, now." He commanded firmly and you started a bit in place. The seriousness and urgency in his voice caused you to hustle and you started to pull your shirt over your head.
As the fabric rubbed past your burnt and irritated skin, you hissed slightly, especially when the cool air rushed past it. Pulling your right arm out of the sleeve, you were just left with your left arm, the wet cloth sticking a bit to your skin. Yet, thanks to the cool water Jotaro had dabbed on it, you managed to peel it off of yourself without doing more damage by taking your skin with it.
You were so focused on getting your shirt off without hurting yourself that you didn't even notice Jotaro had already moved back to standing in front of you.
As he looked down at you, he swallowed audibly, seeing you standing in your bra in front of him. He had momentarily forgotten that if you were to take off your shirt, you would be standing here in front of him like this. He inwardly cursed himself for leaving his hat in his room, making him unable to hide his blushing face. So instead, he opted to just look down.
"Come, it's best to hold your arm directly under the water." Jotaro seemed to appear out of nowhere for you as he grabbed a hold of your right wrist, pulling you with him over to the sink and positioning you in front of it before turning you to your right so you were standing sideways. He turned on the tap and moved your burnt arm under it before letting go.
He got down on his haunches again in front of you, once again taking hold of your hip while now pressing the washcloth to your bare skin.
It was cold and made the muscles of your stomach flinch, making you giggle a bit nervously. Jotaro looked up for a second upon hearing that but he soon averted his eyes back to your stomach, just looking at the scalded skin where the tea hit. Cause damn, looking up at you from this angle he uh...
You had no idea where to put your right arm, just awkwardly holding it crossed over your chest as you looked to what Jotaro was doing. His face was so close to your bare stomach, you were having a really hard time staying composed, trying not to burst from all the blood rushing to your head.
With your awkward position however, your elbow was in front of part of your stomach. So, to help himself and you, Jotaro took hold of your right arm, moving it until your hand was resting on his shoulder, letting go and leaving it there as he placed his hand back on your hip once again; though it was a little bit higher than before, his thumb and pointer finger now 'accidentally' resting above the hem of your pants.
"You really are an idiot sometimes." Jotaro softly sighed, re-wetting the washcloth in the bowl of water he had next to him. You hadn't even seen him get it.
"As much as I want to object to that, I can't." You chuckled, trying your best to appear normal despite being flustered beyond reason. Clearing your throat, you turned your gaze from watching Jotaro's actions to watching the water pouring down on your forearm. "Can- can I turn the water off? My arm is starting to freeze off."
"Leave it for a bit longer." Jotaro commented offhandedly and you bit your lip a bit. It was starting to get really uncomfortable and you were very tempted to just pull it away. Yet you also knew Jotaro wouldn't take your bullshit and would have no problems with shoving your arm under there again.
You suddenly jumped when Jotaro moved to rest his hand on the small of your back. You caught his gaze and he had raised an eyebrow teasingly. It was always a small joke between the two of you how jumpy you were, where Jotaro was always quick to point out when you startled. But right now, while he still had a teasing look in his eyes, he didn't say anything. It might have had something to do with the slightly rosy colour on his cheeks, but then again, how could you blame him? You'd get embarrassed with anyone if you had to do what he was doing for you right now.
Jotaro continued to press the washcloth to your stomach, now spreading his hand flat and keeping it still on your stomach for a bit.
"I'm sorry but I gotta-" You broke the small silence and removed your arm from under the running water, turning the tap off. "Not only is my arm going to get hypothermia, your water bill is gonna be through the roof."
"Don't worry about my bills dumbass. And, while you can get hypothermia, your arm can't."
"Oh, hurr, hurr. Leave me and my burnt arm to make dumb statements. It's been a long day and I'm tired okay?" You pouted a little, looking off to the side.
"Yare yare daze. You're a piece of work. Keep dabbing it." Jotaro put the washcloth in the bowl of water one last time before shoving it in your right hand. With that, he stood up straight, moving away from you and back into the hallway, going to do whatever.
The moment he was out of sight, you burst; letting out the breath you had been unconsciously holding back for god knows how long. Clutching your head, you freaked a bit as you processed what was going on.
You were in your best friend's house, standing in his kitchen in just your bra. Not only that, but he had been gently taking care of you after you were being an idiot! And, though it was most likely the 'having witnessed your roommate going to have sex in the room right next to you', you couldn't help but think of how the position he had been sitting in was very suggestive. Ah! God! Why must you think this way?! He was your best friend! You can't ruin your relationship with him by having a crush on him!
What were you going to do? What were you going to do? What were you going to do?!
"I thought I told you to keep dabbing." Jotaro's voice cut through the silence, scaring your soul out of your body and making you shoot up straight, which in turn made you whine a little in pain since it stretched the skin on your belly.
Jotaro let out a long sigh as he approached. He had a few items in his hand and placed them down on the counter next to him. You noted an ointment that would help with burns, bandaging and a black T-shirt, most likely pulled directly from his drawer.
"It's really not that bad, Jotaro. It was just some hot tea, It's already just a dull pain, I'll be fine tomorrow." You tried, finding the items a little excessive.
"Shut up." Jotaro spoke but as he did, his eyes slowly glid over your exposed torso, almost as if he was taking it all in after stepping away for a bit. Instinctually, you crossed your arms over your chest, making him snap out of his state. "I don't care, I'm putting it on." He spoke nonchalantly, yet there now was a visible blush on his cheeks upon having been caught staring.
"Y-You're putting it on?!"
"Yes, I don't trust you with it." Jotaro tried to clear the atmosphere with his joke but you were too far gone in your embarrassment. So far even that you didn't realise Jotaro had grabbed your arm and the crème until he already started rubbing it on.
"Ah!" You hissed through your teeth, automatically trying to pull your arm away, only to fail heavily because Jotaro still had a firm hold of it.
"Don't squirm, it'll make it harder." He spoke, completely focused on your arm, and you stopped.
His touch was rough with how he was holding onto your arm, yet surprisingly gentle with how carefully he slathered the crème onto your sensitive skin.
"Jotaro... I-" You started but then stopped. You had no idea what to say.
The man in question had raised his gaze when you spoke his name, but diverted his attention again when you didn't continue, instead grabbing the roll of bandaging.
Without a word, he started wrapping it around your burnt arm, making sure to securely pack your entire forearm where you were hit.
"There, now you can move your arm without worrying about being a dumbass and chafing it past stuff."
You opened your mouth to protest, one finger in the air, but then you realised. "Okay yea, that is a thing I would do, you win with this one."
Jotaro scoffed at that and to retaliate, you yanked the little curl that always dangled in front of his face, earning an angry growl from him. Or at least, what you thought was an angry growl.
"Careful, Y/N." He warned and you stuck out your tongue at him. God, he nearly lost his self-control with that. Oh, how he wanted to be able to shut your smart mouth up by slamming his lips to yours, pushing that tongue back in with his own and kissing you until you saw stars and had to cling to him for support. But he refrained himself, instead focusing on putting the burn crème on your stomach.
"If- if you want I can do that myself."
"No." Was his only answer as he crouched back down in front of you. "Put your hands on my shoulders." He then said and you decided to just do as he asked, placing your hands on his shoulders which kept them out of Jotaro's way for him.
Squirting some of the crème on the fingers of his right hand, he grabbed a hold of your hip once more, holding on firmly as he put the cold ointment on your skin.
You once again flinched slightly and before either of you knew what he was doing, Jotaro had placed a featherlight kiss on your stomach to soothe you.
"J-Jotaro?" You squeaked, slightly squeezing his shoulders in surprise.
All the while, Jotaro didn't even notice, for he had whole other things going on in his head. 'FUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCK, WHY DID I DO THAT?!? Fuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuck.'
His head was tilted down so you wouldn't be able to see his flustered wide-eyed panic. What was he supposed to do now? What the hell did he just do?! Should he pretend it never happened? Own up and continue? Throw you out of his dorm in a panic and hope that would solve things? No, he still wasn't done treating you, he couldn't do that. His eyes drifted back to your stomach where only a small part of it was covered in the crème.
God, it... felt... good though. Feeling your soft skin under his lips, the warmth radiating from your body. He wanted to do it again so bad... Only to then trail his way up until he reached your lips. Looking into your eyes for a moment before pressing his lips to yours in a silent confession, one that you would accept and return with ferver. It was almost as if he could feel the tingling of your lips on his, making his breathing turn a little bit heavier.
A small squeak made him shake himself out of his daydream and he looked up at you as to why you made the noise only for him to choke on his own saliva.
"STAR!"
Jotaro's voice nearly cracked as he jumped to his feet, seeing the Stand kissing you.
The big purple ghost had his hands on the sides of your face, breaking the kiss as he heard Jotaro's panicked cry and looking back over his shoulder questioningly.
Your eyes were just wide; confusion and fright being the main two emotions on your face, though your cheeks were visibly VERY dark from how heavily you were blushing. But then again, who could blame you. You couldn't see Stands and were therefore just kissed by nothing.
Jotaro tried to push the Stand away, but of course, with it being a Stand, his arms just passed right through. Star Platinum understood the command of his user though and he quickly let go of your face, moving back to hover over the counter with a guilty look. Was he not supposed to do that? He felt the desire in Jotaro's soul and mistook it for a command.
"Why did you do that?!" Jotaro damn near yelled at the Stand, panic flooding through his veins. Wait, why was he so panicked? He hadn't even been this panicked during the battle with Dio.
"Ora?" Star Platinum questioned and poked at Jotaro's chest, right where his heart sat.
"Fuck!" He paced a bit, completely lost in his own world and thoughts.
"J-J-Jotaro...?" You softly spoke and Jotaro's breath hitched in his throat as he turned to you. You were still here, ah shit.
You were in the same position Star left you in; wide eyed and leaned back a little, your lips slightly parted in surprise.
"Y/N - fuck - I'm sorry I..."
"What just happened?" Your question shot a jab through his heart. He didn't know exactly how frightened you were but he fucked up big time now. In an immediate response to Jotaro's emotions, Star reached out to touch you with the intent of comforting you but Jotaro was quick to attempt to slap his hand away and the Stand understood what he meant, retreating his hand guiltily again before disappearing into the body of his user.
Jotaro then turned to you again. "I- shit." How on earth was he going to explain this? His breath was a bit sped up as he looked at you, but then he just decided 'fuck it', and stepped up. Placing his hands on either side of your face, mirroring Star Platinum's touch from before, he made you snap out of your state and look at Jotaro standing so close to you, looking deeply into your eyes. "Y/N..."
Without a second to spare, he dipped his head down and pushed his lips against yours, kissing you.
In surprise, your hands shot up to hold his hands that were pressed against your cheeks.
The word 'fuck' played on repeat in Jotaro's mind as he kept his eyes squeezed shut. He hadn't doubted his every action this much in a long time and he was honestly wondering what he was doing. Yet the feeling of your soft lips pressed against his bigger ones felt so good and refrained him from pulling back.
And then, the most amazing thing happened: you started kissing back.
His eyes snapped open when he felt you do that, his surprised gaze focusing on your face. You had your eyes closed, your eyebrows creased in nervousness and Jotaro's gaze softened, his eyes slowly closing again as he carefully tilted your head back a little, allowing him to press his lips a little more firmly against yours.
It was a tentative kiss, just trying to figure out where the both of you stood yet still serving well enough to express the unspoken feelings.
After a few seconds, Jotaro pulled back. He was unable to open his eyes for a second, feeling the aftermath of your lips on his. The small, barely noticeable, yet obviously there, spark that made him wish he could just hold you close and keep his lips pressed against yours forever.
Slowly, his eyes fluttered open to see your eyes still closed, your smaller hands on his big ones with which he still held onto your face.
Jotaro allowed a small yet soft smile to play on his lips, rubbing his thumb over your cheekbone which caused you to open your eyes as well, your pupils shrinking a bit due to the sudden light, only to dilate again as you focused on his face still so close. A tiny shy smile erupted on your face, your fingers wrapping around his for a bit before you nervously glanced off to the side.
"U-Uhm, can I... put on that shirt now?" Your voice was just above a whisper, your adorable awkwardness shining through and causing his chest to swell.
Jotaro chuckled softly and pecked the tip of your nose.
"Just hold it up so I can continue treating your dumb ass."
"Okay." The word was just a whisper. You didn't even have it in you to say a retort or playful insult back.
Knowing he was the reason for your state made Jotaro smirk a little to himself as he let go of your face and turned around to grab the T-shirt. Feeling the fabric in between his fingers for a second before he turned back to you. "Arms up."
"What? No, Jotaro I-"
"Arms up." Jotaro reiterated, clearly not taking no for an answer and you just raised your arms, letting Jotaro slide the shirt over your head. The thing was way too large for you, making it super easy to be pulled over your head by Jotaro. "Make sure it doesn't touch your stomach."
Listening to the man, you held your arms up near your chest at the front and caught the fabric, pulling it down until it was past your bra yet keeping it from going any further. The back of the T-shirt fell down your back and you swallowed heavily as Jotaro now stood before you, looking down at your still exposed belly.
Without another word, he crouched back down, only glancing up at you once before he resumed the position he was in before as if he had never left it, starting up the process of applying the crème again.
"I still think this really isn't necessary, Jotaro. It's really not that bad, it was just tea." You had an awkward smile as you patted his arm, making him glance up for a second before he refocused on what he was doing.
"I don't give a shit. I'm doing it. A burn is a burn." Finally finishing with the crème, Jotaro stood up and washed his hands real quick before turning back to face you as he picked up the bandaging from the counter.
"Yes but bandaging? I don't have third degree burns, Jotaro." You softly quipped, grabbing onto his wrist.
"Maybe, but what are you going to do about it?" He questioned back, a shimmer in his eyes.
"What if I just not let you do it?" You challenged, earning an eyebrow raise from Jotaro.
"You think you'll be able to?"
"Mhm, I think so."
"Really? But what if I. do. this?" He emphasised each word with a movement, lifting his left hand to cup your jaw as he tilted your head so you were looking up at him, leaning down until his lips were ghosting over yours.
"Do what?" You squeaked, trying to keep a brave face, though your burning cheeks sort of gave it away.
Without a word said, Jotaro closed the last bit of the gap, gently kissing you shortly before already moving away, instead moving his lips to right next to your ear. "This." He whispered and you suddenly noticed something had changed.
The moment he broke the kiss, you had felt something around your waist and you now looked down to- "HUH?!"
Your waist was neatly wrapped in white bandaging, not too tight but not too loose either, sitting nicely and protecting your sensitive skin.
Your head snapped up to look at Jotaro, seeing him smirking slyly while you were just confused. "How did you-?"
"I have my ways." He spoke mysteriously. "Maybe I'll tell you someday."
With that, he grasped the rim of the shirt from your hands and pulled it down so that it was covering your stomach again.
As confused and slightly worried as you were with what just happened, you figured you wouldn't get anything from Jotaro anytime soon and thus just decided to leave it be for now. "So, you happy now? Now that I am all bandaged up and taken care of?"
Jotaro cocked his head a little bit, giving you a once over as if he was yet to determine his answer.
You just stood there, almost scared to move under his scrutinising gaze until he suddenly wrapped his arms around you and picked you up, careful of your stomach. You squeaked and clutched onto what part of him you could, just watching bug-eyed as to where he was taking you.
He walked past the couch where the blanket you were going to use was still haphazardly tossed on it, a corner partially unfolded and laying on the floor while a puddle of now cooled down tea lay to the left of it.
With a few steps, Jotaro turned the corner into the hallway, quickly making his way past a door and into a room and you soon realised this was his bedroom.
Your eyes widened slightly and you didn't know what to say or do until he gently placed you down on the far side of the mattress, sliding in beside you almost immediately as he started fixing the blankets.
Once situated, Jotaro then laid down and wrapped his arm around you. Consciously placing it around your midriff, right above the bandaging around your waist and stomach so that he wouldn't hurt you, pulling you a little bit closer as he caged your legs with his own.
"Now I'm happy." He muttered into your hair as he held you close, one arm wrapped around your torso while the other was tracing little patterns on your arm.
All in all, you couldn't believe the things that happened this evening. You left your dorm because your roommate was going to have sex. And now here you were, lying in the bed of your best friend and crush, his arms wrapped around you after the two of you basically confessed to each other because you spilled a giant mug of tea on yourself.
A wild evening indeed.

Hey! I love your writing so much! Would you be open to write something about Azriel with a fae in Velaris who his shadows actively seek out and he has no idea why. I imagine that she works at a large library and that's where they meet because Azriel would go to figure out what was so special about her. Thanks!
pairing: azriel x reader (acotar)
warnings: implied smut, drinking, men being gross at bars (doesn’t go into detail), mainly just fluff and awkwardness though :)))
a/n: I rlly like this one so I hope you do to!! comments are always appreciated, hope you enjoy <3
-----------------------------------------------------------
Azriel was standing with Cassian in a small street in Velaris. The ground beneath him was cobbled and all the houses in this area were brightly coloured, the sun seeming to shine brighter over them. They were waiting for Mor as she demanded they help her buy Rhysand a birthday present, desperate to get someone, anyone a good present. She was in a small local shop after Cassian suggested that he would love something from any small business and Cassian let out a groan as he realised she had wandered deeper into the shop. They had already been waiting twenty minutes for her.
“I’m going to drag her out,” Cassian said pushing off the wall and Azriel huffed a breath through his nose.
“Please be quick, don’t let her scare you into staying.” Cassian threw a rude symbol over his shoulder and Azriel grinned reservedly.
He let his gaze travel over more of the houses, his gaze catching on a white house with blue accents, and a blue balcony where a girl sat sipping an orange drink from a large glass and reading a book. He observed her for a while, she was sat curled in a straw chair with a colourful cushion and there was soft music coming from her house, her hair was down and natural and her face was clear of makeup as she soaked in the sun, wearing a males oversized shirt and some knee high socks.
Feeling his stare on her she looked up, grinning cheekily at him when he flushed red and lifting her glass to him in greeting. He was saved from further embarrassment though when Cassian came out, dragging a triumphant Mor who was holding up a purple, silk shirt and bottle of wine. Cassian made a gagging face behind her back as she linked arms with both of them, dragging them down the road and chatting their ears off about the kind old lady from the shop.
As they left Azriel dared a final glance over his shoulder to the girl from the balcony who was still watching him, cocking her head, and waving as he left. As they walked home, choosing to enjoy the sun, he heard nothing of what Mor said, completely focused on the girl from the balcony.
--
When they got home Mor winnowed away to hide her present and Cassian made a comment about Mor’s unique ability to always get horrendous presents. They walked through the door and Feyre instantly looked up from her spot of the sofa, gaze narrowing at Azriel.
“You look different.” She said and Rhys looked up too, frowning when he saw Feyre was right.
“What did you change?” he asked as Amren walked into the room, her head tilting.
“Nothing.” He said defensively as everyone stared at him, not enjoying the way everyone was looking at him now and wishing he could be alone to daydream about the pretty girl he had seen.
“Haircut?” suggested Nesta but he shook his head.
“I haven’t changed anything!” Mor was back now too and had joined in staring, gasping when she realised.
“Where are your shadows?!”
“Ohhhhhhh, that’s it,” Cassian said, sitting down next to his mate as Azriel felt for the shadows that followed him, feeling a rush of white-hot panic shoot through him when he couldn’t feel them.
“Wait what? Where are they then?” Rhys asked and he shook his head, searching for them and frowning when he felt them far away.
“They’re still in Velaris, they must have just stayed somewhere,” he tried to explain.
“Is there another shadow singer in Velaris?” Amren asked and Rhys shook his head.
“Not that we know of,” Azriel felt a flood of relief as his shadows flew back in, almost sheepishly and settled around him, whispering complaints and apologies, as he wondered what had kept them.
--
You had frowned when the handsome, winged male had left, rather enjoying the eye candy. Your friend walked back outside and took her seat opposite you, as you placed down your book and picked up your Apperol Spritz.
“You just missed the hottest male I’ve ever seen.” You said, laughing at her as her face fell completely.
“Why didn’t you shout for me!” she screeched, and you flung an olive pit at her head,
“He would have heard me idiot!”
“Well did you at least get a name?”
“No but I made prolonged eye contact and I think he got the message.”
“The message being?”
“That I would like to marry him and have his babies.”
“Ah makes sense,” you were laughing together as she carried on with the story she had been telling you about the cute Faerie at her work when you felt a cold feeling settle around you, strange given you were still sat in the sun. She stopped talking, giving you a weird look.
“How are you doing that?” she asked as you shrugged.
“I’m not,” the feeling moved, and you realised you were surrounded by shadows, alike the handsome man you had just seen. Your initial anxiety slipped away as they started playing with your hair and caressing your skin alike a lover would. “Hot boy had shadows like this,” you commented, and your friend gasped, eyes wide and a hand over her heart as she sighed.
“Maybe you’re mates!” you rolled your eyes, relaxing into the shadows touch.
“I don’t think my commitment issues can take that,” you joked, and it was her turn to roll her eyes.
“That cynicism is going to be the death of you,” she said in a singsong voice before downing her gin, “Now onto important matters, Rita’s or The Marine?”
--
Two hours later you were completely dolled up, lips red and eyeliner smudged, heeled boots elongating your legs and your all-black outfit making you look intimidating enough that you wouldn’t be bothered by gross men.
“We’re fae, why do you dress like a vampire,” your friend asked, the two of you already slightly buzzed from pre’s.
“Cause vampires are hot and I’m hot so it’s a match made in heaven.”
“Also she has a blood kink!” your roommate shouted from the bathroom and you threw a shoe at her.
“Bitch.” You said, laughing as she came out and the three of you stood to leave.
“Am I wrong?” she asked, and you shoved her, muttering a small no under your breath.
The three of you made your way to Rita’s and got in the queue. You leaned against the cold, brick wall when you saw him again, similarly dressed in all black and somehow looking even better under the light of the moon, his tanned skin glowing in the pale light. He caught your eyes, his face barely changing as he lifted his hand in a half wave, you nodded your head up with a smirk. Your friends followed your gaze, both gasping slightly as they caught sight of him at the end of the queue with his friends.
“Is that hot boy?!”
“Uh huh,” you smiled cheekily at her, “And I call dibs.”
“I get why you want to have his babies,”
“Wait you know him?” your roommate asked, and you shrugged with a smile. “How the fuck do you know the high lords shadow singer?”
“I get around,”
“He was outside earlier today,” your friend translated as the three of you moved into the club, instantly heading to the bar for more drinks.
“That too I guess, shots?” the three of you ordered six vodka shots and you laughed at your friends’ reactions to them.
“How do you enjoy this,” your roommate squealed as you tipped your head back, smiling at the familiar burn.
“Feels good,” you said, taking your second.
“Sadist.”
--
Azriel couldn’t believe his eyes. There you were again, your bare face swapped for dark makeup, and loose clothes swapped for a dress he desperately wanted to see on his floor. At first he wasn’t even sure it was the same girl, your style so different, but it was. And he had waved. No cool head tilt like the one you gave him, no sultry eyes, and pouting lips, just a stupid wave. And then you had laughed with your friends and he decided he needed the sound bottled, something to keep with him at all times.
You had walked inside without so much as a second glance and Azriel had to refrain himself from slamming his head against the wall.
“Who were you waving at?” Amren asked, the small women appearing next to him.
“Just someone I met earlier.” He didn’t want to get into the details, especially not around Cassian who would tease him relentlessly if he heard. Amren, thankfully, dropped it as they moved into Rita’s, his eyes instantly finding you at the bar, two empty shot glasses next to you as you laughed with your friends.
He moved with his family to a table that pretty remained reserved for them as Rita came to get them some drinks and see if they wanted food. He only half listened, ordering a Scotch as he watched you as you and your friends moved to dance together, completely enamoured by you despite not having said anything to you.
Eventually he pulled his eyes away and focused on his friends and his drink as they laughed into the small hours of the night. He kept stealing glances at you, his grip on his glass tightening when he saw you leaning against the bar waiting for drinks as a male leaned too close to you. He almost stood to intervene when saw you lean in close to the man, meeting Azriel’s eyes over his shoulder and whispering in his ear. Azriel wished he could hear what you said but you were too far away, and the music was too loud, but whatever it was, the male turned white and scampered away, almost tripping over his feet as you giggled.
When it happened this time he noticed, feeling the coolness of his shadows leave and he watched as they travelled over to you, wrapping around you, and making you look like an angel of death. You turned and caught his eyes, winking at him before grabbing the tray of drinks the bartender had laid out for you and sauntering over to your friends.
“Is she a shadow singer?” Feyre asked, following his gaze and he shook his head, feeling a smile come over his face as he watched you interact with your drunk friends.
“No I think they just like her,” his high lady smiled at him,
“You mean you like her,”
“I haven’t even spoken to her.” He said drily and Nesta leaned over,
“Love at first sight,” she said in a singsong voice making him roll his eyes.
“This isn’t a romance book,” he said, huffing as a crowd moved in front of you and he couldn’t see you anymore.
“You tell yourself that,” Feyre said, patting his knee.
An hour later, when most the club was empty, you were standing, swaying slightly with your friend leaning on you.
“No baby, no more you’ll throw up again, he heard you coo as she reached for a drink that was left on someone table. She huffed but you passed her into the arms of your other friend, and he sat up straight when he realised you were coming over to him.
You bowed your head slightly at Rhys and Feyre as all his friends turned to stare at you, your gaze unfaltering and your back straight as you looked at him.
“I think these belong to you,” you said, gesturing to the shadows swirling around your arms.
He tried to fight his blush, pulling them back in, “Yeah, thanks..?” he trailed off and you finished for him.
“(y/n).”
“Azriel.”
“Well Azriel,” his name sounded divine on your tongue, and you shot him another half-smile, “see you around.”

The next day, he was up only three hours after he fell asleep, desperate to find you. He wandered into town, usual leathers swapped for a white shirt collar peeking out of a dark sweater, his hands tucked into his pockets as he found himself wandering down your cobblestoned street. He looked up to your balcony and considered throwing rocks at the glass doors like in one of Nesta’s romance novels but paused when he saw all the lights were turned off.
Instead he chose to wander into the shop Mor had been in the previous day. The room smelt old, and he could see the dust moving in the morning light as he walked in. An old lady was behind the counter and she smiled as she recognised him.
“Hello, how can I help you?” she asked as he came to stand in front of her.
“I actually had a question,” she motioned for him to continue, “Do you know where I could find (y/n)?” he asked, and she smiled a knowing smile.
“Interested in my granddaughter are you?” she asked, eyes sparkling and Azriel rubbed the back of his neck, smiling nervously, “She works at the library in the square, I’m sure you’ll find her there.”
He thanked her and she waved him away, knowing she would get to hear all the details next Wednesday when the two of you met for tea. But until then she was happy to watch the handsome man leave to find you.
He flew to the library that your grandmother had mentioned and walked in. This was always one of his favourite places to come in the city. The bookshelves were tall and overflowing, candles covered the room, and there were huge glass windows on the far wall that cast the room in planes of light. He walked around for a while, letting his shadows lead him until he found you with a pile of books in your arms that you were going to return.
You smiled when you saw him, dressed in a black dress with lots of daisies on it that went halfway down your calf, a black cardigan, and black boots. Your hair was held back in a low bun, but you had strands falling out making you look impossibly cute, and he almost said as much as he moved to take some books from your arms.
“So are you stalking me now?” you had asked cheekily, and he stammered when he realised just how weird he looked.
“No, no I…”
“Relax I’m teasing, I’m glad you’re here actually.”
“You are?” he asked, relaxing slightly as you stood on your tiptoes to put a book on a shelf.
“Yes, you’re very pretty,” he laughed, and you smiled at him, your eyes creasing.
“Well so are you,” he replied as you turned to face him, “But you do keep stealing my shadows and I’m wondering why that is?”
“I’m stealing them am I? I just presumed that you were very mean to them and they wanted someone else,”
“They’re spoiled,” he joked, watching as they trailed up your arms and you giggled,
“You speak about them like they’re pets.”
“You’d be surprised how accurate that actually is,” he muttered as you moved to the next aisle and your laughter bounced of the walls, wincing slightly due to your drinking induced headache.
He went to help you with more books when his fingers touched your hand and the word hit him, mate. You looked up at him shocked before giggling.
“I guess that’s what the shadows meant,” you let out an ‘oomph’ as suddenly the shadows shot forward, pushing you into his chest and Azriel looked at you.
“I have a mate.” He repeated to himself.
“And I have commitment issues so this might be rough,”
“It’s fine I have attachment issues,” he replied, unable to stop the smile forming on his face, “Match made in heaven.”
“More like hell,” you joked as he leaned down to you.
“Can I kiss you?” he practically whispered, lips almost touching yours as his wings circled the two of you. You nodded slightly and the two of you stumbled back from the force of the kiss, his hands gripping your waist tightly as yours wove into his hair, grinning against his mouth.
“Azriel,” you muttered between kisses, pulling back slightly only to just be pulled right back in. You repeated his name again, successfully pulling away this time as his lips attached to your neck.
“Az, we’re in a public library.”
“So?”
“So we can continue this when I’m off work,” you shoved him off with a laugh as he grumbled, before pulling you in for a final kiss.
“What time?” he asked.
“My shift ends at three,” you smiled as he looked at the clock.
“It’s only eight,”
“Maybe wait at your house,” you laughed at his expression, pressing a chaste kiss to his mouth before walking off, shooting him a smirk over you shoulder.
Only six hours, fifty-nine minutes left.
