Dejuns voice was unlike anything you had ever heard before. It was so beautiful almost siren like as he sang his lines in Start of something new. You could only sit and stare at him in awe as he focused on the lyrics paper while singing, you almost did not notice the fact that some other people had entered the room as he just finished his singing. It was only when applause could be heard from the other side of the room that you two looked up, both startled by the presence of the others.
You recognized the head of the drama society, Eunji, Bora and Jaehwan together with Dejuns friend Kun.
"That was amazing Dejun!" Eunji praised Dejun while she walked up to the two of you with a bright smile "I'm glad to see you two already here practicing!"
"Yeah we thought it could be good to come here a bit earlier to just sit down and digest it all." Dejun explained with a smile
"That's exactly the kind of energy we need for this musical!" Jaehwan gave the both of you a thumbs up before the three of them went to sort out the rest of the scripts.
"That sounded really nice Dejun" Kun walked up to you both and sat down next to Dejun whilst giving you a smile "Hi, I'm Kun! Nice to meet you!"
You shook his extended arm and gave a smile back,
"y/n, nice to meet you as well! I'm excited to work with you on this musical. I have only heard great things about you." You noticed Kuns ears turning slightly red at your comment as he bashfully disagreed with it.
Time flew by as you, Dejun and Kun spoke to each other and suddenly the rest of the ensemble had arrived. Bora called for everyone to introduce themselves before splitting everyone up to work on some scenes. You and Fatou had so much fun going over the script, getting to know each other and discussing your parts that you had not really noticed when the end of rehearsal had arrived.
"We should totally meet up for a coffee someday y/n!" Fatou said while her arm was slung over your shoulder, you nodded at her.
"We totally should! Let's exchange numbers!" you told her excitedly, the both of you had really hit off during rehearsals. Fatou was funny, charismatic and charming in so many ways and the two of you had a natural chemistry together. After exchanging numbers and sns you said your goodbyes, you also made sure to say bye to Dejun and thank him for earlier before going out to meet Sejeong who had promised to walk you home.
"Stop staring after her like a hurt puppy Dejun."
"I am not staring!!"

I'm sorry, but that looks like a fan trailer. Some random old clips, some random frases that can be literally for any character... I can make that trailer Druck, why are you not paying me? xD
i have literally seen better fan trailers jdaksdka. i don't mind the phrases (wish they were intercut with new footage; old clips don't get me hype lol), but minus the rule breaking one, these don't feel specific to the mailin we've seen? and i know they switched teams but "who do you want to be?" would be a much stronger new gen thesis if nora & fatou's (non existent) trailers had them too idk.
anyways let's talk about #REAL artistry
Tumblr media
the phallic imagery cris ignores vs joana piquing her interest immediately and then literally getting her wet lmao. the way this is a clear reference to isak's trailer but it's also not a copy. it’s erotic without being over-sexualised, it’s fun, it’s exciting. the first kiss foreshadowing with the pool. the first time we hear hurricanes.
Tumblr media
viri’s reverse trailer, like sana's, is such a simple concept yet it does so much. like it’s not just the idea that she’s putting on a false brave face, or that you can’t judge a book by its cover (everyone’s fighting a battle etc), it’s also that she’s stuck and not moving forwards, because that’s how poverty works.
Tumblr media
the cashqueens not appearing at all and the focus being on the instas partying, tricking us into believing they’d be the main squad - much like viri’s, there’s the idea of hiding something, a truth yet to be revealed (also showing how fake the instas are). and the entire cast doing voiceovers! i think that works so well with nora’s mindset and just as a general anxieties-of-youth thing? reminds me of the jonas speeches in s1.
Tumblr media
literally signaling all the plots and dynamics (and changes in dynamics) via simple bed shots, quick editing, and minimal acting. and the importance of a bed to the story! the music being both hopeful and ominous. the trailer ending with the camera going down to rest next to grace, meant to represent daniel, but also the way we’re going to follow her for 10 weeks too.
Tumblr media
the og date fading to white before the new date pops up in yellow! amira’s voiceover apologizing to us for that because she needed time! starting with her staring at us before she leaves! the super quick flashes of new footage representing the ‘caught between two worlds’ concept and how confused & chaotic her mindset is rn!! (and the way she prays when that happens, which we’re seeing!)
Tumblr media
everyone look away but i actually like lucas’ trailer. i think it’s fun to see the ‘first time i saw you’ moment and know that that’s what we’re seeing, and with the way the real time format works it’s like...idk, we know something the main doesn’t, we know how important they’re about to become to each other etc.
included spiritually but not physically are a) the og trailers bc i wanted to focus on the remakes, b) nora grace’s bc i couldn’t get a clear screenshot which is the point of that trailer jfkdsdsd, and c) maya’s trailer bc i experienced emotions that night i don’t think i ever will again. also i think italia s2 was a fine twist on isak’s too but cris did it better.

Moments and reason that show why I love Fatou Jallow
In season 5 episode 1 the first thing I heard was her voice on the voicemail she left for Nora. I thought her voice was soft and adorable and I thought the words she was saying were beautiful and well written. It showed she had depth and was smart when it came to writing and language.
In season 5 episode 1 when everyone was talking about the abi thing and Ismail and Constantine were bragging about the party they we’re planning and all the alcohol they would have, everyone (even Ava) looked impressed meanwhile Fatou looked less than impressed
Tumblr media
“can these two stfu 🙄”
When she asked Nora if “everything was good”, it was a subtle way of showing how perceptive she is of others emotions and well being
When she called over Nora to sit next to her and she complimented her drawings
When Nora had to rush out to listen to her mom’s voice memo, Fatou looked very concerned - again showing how much she cares for her friends and her perceptiveness
Tumblr media
(worried Fatou- also she looks cute here)
When Fatou went to Zoe’s bday party and when she did that little shy glance at Kieu My - adorable 🥰
The little “Fuck” she did when she realized she messed up the addresses for the little party on season 5 episode 2
The little joke she did that made Kieu My laugh
When she said she wants to spend her 50th birthday on the moon because by the time she’ll be 50 there would be flying cars. I love how imaginative she is, she’s creative and she has an easy going nature to her (at least in s5) and her mind is open to everyone. For example in the opening monologue in s5 she said “we hug anyone and love everyone” . That sentence in itself shows her good nature
I love that she offered cake as an alternative to alcohol when Nora said she doesn’t drink. Kudos to Ava and Mailin for not making a big deal of it as well but also kudos to Fatou for offering an alternative to make sure her friend still felt part of the moment
When Nora was lying down on Fatou’s lap and Fatou asked where Nora was and she said she was at the doctors and the audience could tell that Fatou didn’t buy it but chose to let it go. Another moment of her being intuitive towards others well being.
When she told Mailin that boys should not be victims of objectification just because they do it to girls (SOMEONE TELL THIS TO KIEU MY SO SHE KNOWS THAT HER GIRL WOULD NEVER DO THAT TO HER SHE IS TOO GOOD AND TOO KIND TO PARTICIPATE IN THAT)
When Fatou was imagining Kieu My’s birthmark - soft little lesbian -
HER SOFT VOICE. Her speaking voice is so soft she’s so softspoken it makes my heart hurt ✨🥺
Tumblr media
Her love for animals. Even the creepy ones.
^^ also doesn’t Kieu my have a snake necklace or something
When she came over to Nora’s to ask if she’s okay.
When she brought the cashqueens to noras to help her feel better
When Ava suddenly said there was going to be a live concert and fatou made this face
Tumblr media
When Fatou was teaching Kieu My how to skate and she did a little jog along side her and helped her when she almost fell
When she told Kieu My to “have fun” when she was goin home lmao and she berated herself for it
When she wears her glasses - adorable
When she was talking to Ismail and it mirrored the “I’m so done with this person” look she did in episode 1 of season 5.
When she gently fed the turtle the lettuce from her sandwich - softy with animals
When she had that little dream moments of Kieu My feeding her fries to Toni Braxton playing in the background - relatable
When she tried to alleviate Kieu My’s worries about her nails by saying it’s just a stereotype.
When she was bravely making full on non stop eye contact with Kieu My when describing what she did we her ex gf
When she had her tinder bio say “wanna cuddle” - softy lesbian
When she bravely texted Kieu My multiple times and even confronted her in the hallways
All her hairstyles ✨💕✨💕✨💕✨💕🎉🎉✨💕✨💕🎉✨💕💕✨💕
When she told Kieu My she was good even though she was still hurting from Kieu My’s actions
When she bravely (brave lesbian I can’t relate) ran after Kieu My and kissed her and even softly put her hair to the side
When she asked about Kieu My and why she always overthinks things.
When she spoke about coming from an immigrant family (relatable)
When she gave Kieu My the back hug but she had to stand on a step lol
The birthmark question lmao
I love how she feels everything. In comparison to Nora, whos main problem in s5 was disassociating from feelings, Fatou is very open to her emotions to the point that it overwhelms her. If she’s insecure she’s insecure to the point of tears. It makes her very emotionally intelligent but also exhausts her to a great extent.
Her ability to care for others can be easily seen by both the audience and her peers. Ismail feels it which is probably why they want to open up to her so much.
Her desire to NOT hurt her friends or family by disappointment. She doesn’t want to cause conflict snd this makes her a great mediator to fights (like in season 5) but when it’s her conflict it shows how little she deems herself worthy of a solution. She doesn’t want to bother anyone with her problems and doesn’t want to be seen as a disappointment but she has yet to grasp that when she’s in pain then so are the people she cares about. Just like Kieu My.
Her reluctance to be friendly towards Ismail and Constantine, I think, shows more than just annoyance but also her loyalty to Ava. I think the thing that annoys her the most about Ismail is that she knows they bullied her friend and I think that if they didn’t bully her then she would have warmed up to them from the beginning (after s5 of course cuz)
But yeh that’s all. If I missed anything comment it lol

Diversmagazin Interview  Translation
Tumblr media
Diversmagazin released an interview with director Sarah Blaßkiewitz and Head-Writer Jasmina Wesolowski today. Read it here in German.
Jasmina (she/her), DRUCK writer since season four and head writer since season six together with Jonas Lindt. In a writers Room with Paulina Lorenz and Raquel Kishori Dukpa (Jünglinge)
Sarah (she/her) director of the last four episodes from season six
I’m leaving out the general introductory questions.
Alicia: Can you talk about the writing process? And what’s the most important thing for you while writing and telling stories?
Jasmina: We especially wanted the profound exchange with young adults who represent our protagonists. For season six we had the challenge that we wanted to tell the lovestory of a Gambian-German girl and a Vietnamese-German girl, perspectives that aren’t represented in the writer’s room. That’s why we talked a lot to research partners, to make up for our lack of knowledge/ experience, but we also talked to the actors and actresses.
Alicia: Why do different directors work on DRUCK?
Sarah: We try to produce as much in real-time as possible. And of course, we have to pre-produce but still have to work [overlappingly]. While one director is already in the editing phase, the next one already starts to shoot. Another reason is of course, that this way, also in the writer’s room, there’s more space for diversity.
Alicia: It’s similar to the writer’s room. You’re also dividing the writing of scenes between different people. … Are you working together with racism and LGBTQIA+ experts?
Jasmina: I think we all have blind spots and that it’s absolutely impossible to end up with a perfect result. It was an important first step, that the Jünglinge collective joined. They are big advocates for queer BIPoc representation in German media. They were always present for feedback loops and made all of us, crew, actors and actresses, participate in an anti-racism workshop. We were lucky to have the brilliant author and anti-racism trainer Arpana Berndt, who advised us on these topics. On top of that, we did a lot of research on different topics. I think now it should be the only way to produce movies and shows this way, with an intensive research phase. This way you don’t appropriate the stories of others and also don’t tell inauthentic stories or, in the worst case, use hurtful clichés/stereotypes. It was helpful and needed that Black perspectives were present also behind the camera – Sara as a director, but also in the social media team, make-up department or costume design. But we are also aware that more can be done.
Sarah: It’s important to me to highlight the make-up and costume design department. When I, an afro-German person, joined this project and met other afro-German women in those departments, who can relate to me, the character of Fatou and Ava, I was really glad. I can say from many years of experience that that’s not a given.
Alicia: How about experts on LGBTQIA+ issues?
Jasmina: To talk a bit about the process: We were set on Fatou being a lesbian pretty early on, and that was already discussed in the earlier writer’s room, where that perspective wasn’t present yet. In the beginning, those were loose ideas, and we had to implement them with the casting. The casting team Raquel Kishori Dupka, Melek Yaparak and Angelika Buschina worked closely with the directors and contacted different institutions and specifically asked for actors and actresses who could be queer. At this age this is of course a super sensitive topic. You don’t want to force young people to [define themselves/come out]. It’s a huge challenge to handle that with care and it was extremely important that the Jünglinge collective was part of the casting process.
But also, apart from the casting process, we profited a lot from the queer people in the writer’s room in the cast.
Sarah: For my part I asked the authors and queer people “What would you like? What is nice? What hurts? What’s important? Or what have I never seen before?” And then I put those different experiences into the different scenes. On top you of course need common sense (?) to portray something that you haven’t experienced yourself.
Jasmin: I just thought of a small really beautiful example: How Fatou was given these rainbow socks as a Christmas present. You immediately notice, that was the idea of a queer person who knows what non-queer parents give to their kids as gifts. The fans notice: Queer people were in the writer’s room. Or “Ah, these actresses know, what they’re doing.“ And those are the small things that make a difference.
Alicia: For sure! In DRUCK you notice that queer people were part of this in really subtle ways, and that [resulted] in really nice fan-moments. I can confirm that.
Right now, the community is discussing the conflict between Mailin and Ava a lot. What role does that conflict play for you and what does it teach us?
Sarah: I’m editing the last episodes right now, so I really feel it, also because you already see the reactions online.
For me, the conflict is important because it shows over a long period of time, that not everything is always only good or only bad. That it takes a lot of time, patience and confrontation to understand all nuances of that kind of conflict.
That Ava could be prevented to outright say what’s bothering her, because we’re talking about a really serious trauma of exclusion. How do you even tell people really personal stuff when you were bullied for years? And now we have that conflict, that seemingly takes forever, and you’re always asking yourself: “Why aren’t they talking to each other?” But it’s only in real time that you realize how hurtful this conflict is. How hurtful it is what they experience. What racism means, and also what it means to [deal] with that topic as a white  German girl. And I think it’s really important that everyone is going through that with this season. That takes time and sometimes hurts. And you don’t always understand Ava and you don’t always understand Mailin. When we really [dedicate ourselves to understand this conflict] then I think, we can experience what for example a person like me experienced their whole adolescence. I’m not saying I was bullied my whole adolescence, and maybe it wasn’t because of the color of my skin, but because of something else. But that went on for half a year. After being bullied in school for half a year you’re not up for school and your classmates anymore. And you don’t talk to them anymore. And if people realize that because of this season then I’m glad. I think it’s really touching that this conflict takes up so much space.
Jasmina: I found it really interesting what you said about the nuances, because it was a real process for me to learn how many facets this conflict has. And especially that us white people, who grow up in a society with structural racism, have a particular idea about what racism means. And that’s not a detailed and uncritical perspective of that topic: As soon as you call me racist, I feel attacked and start defending myself.
The role that this conflict played for us was to show how incredibly exhausting it is as a Person of Color, to always have to deal with these problems and that there’s a kind of fatigue, that you don’t want to talk (or should want to talk) about certain topics anymore, especially if you have other things going on in your life on top of it.
On the other hand, we have Mailin, who has a strong desire to understand. She’s not aware of her privileges as a white girl. We want to take this journey together, when she starts to realize things and when she goes through different stages; until she understands, what it is really about. We also have an arc there that isn’t finished. Because in real life, you have to deal with some topics over and over again. We think it’s especially important to show that it’s not the job of Black people to explain racism to their white  friends. By now, they have all the resources to educate themselves and to talk with other white people about this topic, to unburden Black people.
Alicia: That’s really interesting! The lovestory of Kieu My and Fatou is an important part of season six, which many queer young adults love. How is the relationship between Fatou and Kieu My representative for a generation?
Sarah: I can actually also see it in an older generation. When I send the cuddle clip of Kieu My and Fatou to my grandpa, he says “Wow, how amazing that a Viet-German and a Afro-German girl are lying in bed together, talk in German and are in a relationship.” This generation hopefully isn’t alone anymore, for example in the sense of: being the only Afro-German person in a small city. That changed and now we see it in that second and third generation. And that’s why it shows me something very real and beautiful.
Alicia: Which scene are you really proud of and why?
Sarah: My favorite scene, and one I’m really proud of and that was really important concerning the pressure of school, was with the main character Fatou. It’s about a path of finding yourself from Fatou and a [Reinigungsmoment] with her brother. Two people, who know each other from the moment of their birth, are sitting together. When I read that scene I thought yes, I can relate, I can feel that, and when we shot that, a world opened for me. And that was partly because of the music, which was decided before we shot this scene. Then we shot it and it was fucking cold, but we shot it again and again but every time we really felt it like the first time. And when I now watch that scene while editing, it really is the perfect moment. Every facial expression is perfect, every reaction. And that’s that kind of truthful (?) moment you’re looking for as an actor, actress, director or author. When everything fits.
(There’s a script for every social media part, What’s App Chats and ideas for social media stories. )
Alicia: When can we expect the next season and what will it be about?
Jasmina: For now, DRUCK is finished and we have to wait how it will continue. Fingers are crossed and of course we’re hoping for a new season.
[Note by me: We‘re not gonna spiral, Jünglinge looked for more writers, Black writers, on facebook a while ago. Nothing is safe but they probably don’t want to make any promises]

High key concerned by how many people think it might be Ava's season next. I don't think druck has the sauce, i don't think any of the remakes have the sauce, to turn this fandom into a fair and balanced one when they are met with people that look like Ava and can be quite assertive . An Ava season at this junction would be strongly rejected by the masses and seems like an express lane to cancellation. Who do u think will be the next main? Sorry if you've already shared your thoughts on this.
Hi anon! 🌸 I think the next main will be Fatou.
As for Ava, I don’t think her storyline with _huelk has played as big a role in the episodes as Fatou/Kieu My. I’m also a bit unsure about whether _huelk will actually show up on Thursday tbh. I’d feel a bit more sure he’ll show, if Ava told the girls about him and she asked Nora to come along with her.
This fandom will inevitably be a shitstorm when Ava is the main, but I mean, wbk. Let’s just look at the reactions to any Sana season, not just from fandom, but casual viewers and even people who don’t know anything about these shows, but have a lot to say about a show choosing to feature characters like the Sanas.
But I also don’t think that should be reason not to do it. Like, we can’t just keep these characters as sidekicks until a time in the future where people won’t complain about them being main, or we’ll be waiting forever lol.
I know this is the dumbest example ever, but ever since SPN ended, I’ve been thinking about how different the TV landscape was 5/10/15 years ago.
(Some rambling about 00s TV shows no one cares about)
When SPN premiered in 2005, the idea that any of the male leads would say ILU to another dude was absolutely unthinkable. A fan gave Dean’s actor an essay about his character being bi at a con (sidenote: cons should probably be abolished) and he wrote “?? No” on it and gave it back. In 2020 Castiel told Dean he loved him, and Dean’s actor was, like, swapping reaction videos to that moment with Castiel’s actor.
Likewise, when Glee premiered in 2009, the show immediately sidelined Mercedes for Rachel, and constantly made jokes about how Mercedes would never be lead because she was lazy, unprincipled, didn’t want it enough, etc. In the finale episode, which aired in 2015, the show acknowledged that Schue (and by extension the show/network) never saw Mercedes as the lead because of the way she looked (both misogynoir and fatphobia).
And I could give sooo many examples of Kurt storylines that were obviously rewritten to pacify homophobic viewers. For instance, in one s1 episode Kurt comes a little too strongly on Finn (but I should note everyone on that show came a little too strongly on their crushes, it was pretty much your usual teen show with toxic examples of human interaction). This angered a man to such a point that he approached the showrunners at Comic Con and demanded that Kurt apologize for being a creep. So in s2, even Kurt’s own dad calls him out on being a creep towards Finn, and he’s made to back off from a duet with a straight dude character because everyone makes him feel he was a creep for even thinking about it.
Later on, Kurt switches schools for a while because he’s being targeted by a bully and he and Blaine talk about how no one does anything about homophobic bullying because people seem to feel that if you’re gay, then you’re just going to suffer. This line reminds me so much of how showrunners have approached Sana seasons. All the characters sort of act like, well, the Sanas have dared to be hijabi and racialized, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ there ain’t much the other characters can do about that suffering ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
The point I’m trying to make is that, yes, Castiel dying right after confessing he loves Dean and Dean’s feelings being up for interpretation is total bullshit when you can watch 73589 Netflix shows and a handful of Isak seasons with canonical representation, same gender affection, sex scenes, etc. but it is also something no show would’ve done when SPN first premiered in 2005. (When queer rep was a female character showing up in town during sweeps week to share a kiss with one of the female leads and then disappear to never be talked about again.) It was only possible because SPN lasted into 2020 when that scene is tame compared to what audiences are used to seeing in other (some more niche) shows. It was bullshit that Glee painted Mercedes as lazy to justify Rachel getting all the solos, but at least they lasted long enough that they could say, “yeah that happened for racist reasons.” It was bullshit that Kurt could only get face time if he was being tortured or crying, because homophobic audiences couldn’t take a, to use your word, “assertive” gay character who behaved like all the other Glee characters with crushes. But if it hadn’t been for Kurt and other similarly weeping gays, who’s to say we’d have had Isak (who was created in response to Norwegians teens watching American teen shows, remember!), Cris, Matteo, etc. etc.
Are audiences going to be racist and fatphobic and misogynistic in response to Ava’s season? Yep! But an Ava season would do something Glee never allowed Mercedes to do, and it’s to be the star of the show. (And ngl, “it’s yo girl Mercedes” was such a recurring phrase on Glee that I’ve wondered whether Ava’s ig name is a lowkey inspired by it.) Without Kurt there wouldn’t be an Isak, and without Mercedes there wouldn’t be an Ava. So an Ava season needs to happen regardless of fandom being ready for it.

Hey👋 A Druck-related. I know Nora and Josh will work things out, but as of today and that last clip. Oh Josh:( I wish he asked to invite Yara too. She's the calm to emotions. I know ppl say he needs to work on his abandonment issues and Nora needs to prioritize her mental health... but i still want them together! What are your thoughts on Fatou, Josh, Ava and Nora characterizations? and what are your theories/hopes on Constantin, Ismail, Finn and Kieu My potential stories/shame?
Hello!
As of right now, I’m just hoping we don’t get another Jonas x Eva story where we clearly see that they still have feelings for each other and don’t get together until I don’t know how many seasons down the line.
I know this is debatable but I do want them to be together sooner rather than later. I know this might not be the perfect time but I would love some honest conversation between them, putting all cards out from both sides. Where Nora tells him she still likes him in some capacity and needs to work on herself at the same time, that she just needs him to understand things won’t be always smooth and she’ll need her time to take better care of herself from time to time. I’m very aware that this is easier said than done, but like I’ll explain later in this post, I’m not really looking for complete realism right now. I just want them around each other, letting themselves feel whatever they wanna feel for each other or for themselves whenever they feel it.
This is very personal but after this shitty year, I am, yes, hoping we get as many happy, romantic (depends on how people perceive “romantic” as) endings as we can because generally, real life sucks right now and I don’t care about realism when it’s a matter of making my heart warm and cozy in 2020 or not. I’m always 110% ready for happy endings, with lots of love, romantic or not relationships.
And yes! I was seeing the clips today and I really missed Yara, wish she was there but i guess she would keep Josh on his toes a little too much so maybe that’s why he didn’t ask if she could go with him.
Because maybe he wanted to talk to Nora and he knew Yara would be trying to look out for what’s best for him. I love Yara, though, so would love to see as much of her as possible. Yara is such a badass I can barely look at her without blushing because she’s just so !!!!! badass and beautiful and perfect !!!!!
They both (Nora and Josh) need to prioritize some things inside themselves first before any relationship but I don’t think they should discard each other while working on those things. They make each other happy so why do they have to choose?
It’s hard not to love these new characters to be honest, anon. Even when they’re being annoying I can still relate to most of them and their decisions. And I’m not ready to see none of them in pain. Druck tends to drag their hell weeks and I’m not ready to see any of them suffer again.
I saw so many comments about Fatou x Kieu My being some type of reverse Evak so it feels like we would get a very similar season if Kieu My was the main (she would be Isak, kinda in the closet, trying to surpress her feelings for Fatou, partying her life away) and Fatou would be a very different Even but still an Even (chill, sweet, thoughtful, very much at peace with all labels or no labels, enjoying every second of life).
I’m down for any girl being the main, not considering Zoe because I think she’s too close to Nora that’s already a main and as of right now, if Kieu My is a main, she’ll very close to two mains so it wouldn’t make sense with all the other amazing characters Druck has. I’m assuming Ava will come after Fatou (or Kieu-My) as main and I would love to see everyone from her POV, how he past experiences with Kieu-My especially would affect her relationship with Fatou.
And Josh is the only boy I would be interested to see as main because I don’t think I’ll ever get over him and his kindness and the way he lives his life and how handsome he is. And because for now Constantin and Ismail are too deep into being the annoying, spoiled, disrespectful “group” of this new-gen.
Maybe if Druck manages to give any (or both of them) an amazing arc in the next season we could think about it but without that, they’re not really options to me. Will love to write about them though, and what I’m writing about them is (as an AU), give or take, what I would like to see as their “shame”. Ismail with a terrible home situation and maybe falling way too deep and too quick for his best friend, Constantin having trouble thinking things through, thinking about consequences of his actions while also not giving Ismail the worth, love and attention he deserves, etc
Finn feels like the blandest character so far. With every other character, even William that we only saw once or twice, we managed to think about so many ways he could be involved in the plot already. And Finn is basically just Zoe’s boyfriend so far.

Druck is objectively better than all remakes at making a pointed effort to do better with their pic reps. They actually take in the feedback of their audience and try to execute a better product. There are problems with druck and 80% of it is the fandom. Ofc all remakes have issues tho, so ppl should chill. Druck fans unapologetically shit on other remakes while, wtfock fans and skam fr fans have the courtesy of slyly getting their digs in there. It's quite amusing to watch from the sidelines
this is super long but for you anon.
So I think we need to look at these three remakes as what I call the og period and the original period because they do change alot once they get more freedom some for the absolute worse. Ok so lets talk first about the OG periods. To be perfectly honest s1 in all these remakes are just ok. Jana & Jens are a bit unbearable but Jana as a whole is fine and am happy she doesnt end up with Jens. Same with Hanna and Jonas they aren’t unbearable per-say but I am also not gushing over them but I do like Jonas being a heart throb music man sometimes but once again they dont burn into my core but am happy they reunite. Love Emma and love Yann just not together its that simple. S2 is where we really start to see the difference. Charles is the devil so I hate skamfr s2 and like really Manon stays with him??? ughh why?? Daphne is right at almost bursting into laughter when he talks about doing philanthropy. Ok bruh....sure. Winterberg is fine I dont hate them and I dont love them they are just okay to me. S2 happens to be wtfock best season so its kinda hard to stack them up because this is the best they ever looked. All of the s3 for all these remakes are good. To say they aren’t would just be nonsense some are better then others but all are above average. Now S4....... well well well. What can we say the elusive goldstar Sana season is yet to be made (I will say the script for Italia s4 is fantastic, THE SCRIPT).
Skamfr s4 was a mess and ridiculous and Druck’s s4 was lazy and harbored accents of prejudice all over it.Both seasons undercut their woc and both miss the opportunity to write deep meaningful stories that explored the societal struggles of muslim women. Skamfr s4 just happened to really just shows us their colors but honestly am not shocked this is skam the micro racist decisions are all over the verse. TBD on yasmina season.
NOW......this all changes when we talk about the original seasons because this is when we see the shows on their own and also we get to see if they have been listening and absorbing the fan commentary or not. So let’s get the obvious out of the way wtFOCK was an absolute mess and maybe the worse season ever created in the skamverse the only thing that made that season even slightly bearable was the Moyo arc which I hear it actually continues in s5 so in a weird way s4 is actually about Moyo since his story continues but we already know thats only because if the fans saw Kato on the screen for a matters of seconds the volcano of hate would explode. I despise how Noa has become the pseudo main of s4 but didnt get the credit. It kills me they did this to him. Maining Romi is the worse mistake ever made by any remake and thats just fact. Now do I want to see a newgen out of wtfock? hmmmm ask me after s5 but am leaning towards probably not but am on the fence. Now skamfr .....let me say this one thing skam fr is nothing without their cast. Talk about fucking talent. Those kids can act their ass off but their writing is atrocious. s5 could have been good they had all the ingredients but the writers bomb it. S6 once again flavie amazing the writing a shit show. S7 lucie was amazing the writing was better but still needs work I think it pretty obvious skam fr is going to step into the thunderdome and finally do what no skam has done before and main bilal but should I really applaud it taking 8 seasons and 35 plus skamverse seasons to get here??? Probably not, but since no one else is gonna pull the trigger I wish them well and at least skamfr listen and lamifex is super rich in diversity and they are honestly a fabulous newgen. They are such a ridiculous squad but god I love them and Jo is an angel. Please please skamfr please write a good story for a brown boy I beg of you!!! Now druck s5 all I can say is Bravo!! If skamfr is their cast then Druck is their writers. That s5 season is a fucking beast. Thats how you write an original skam season. They also listen the cast is super diverse. The girl squad feels natural and their age I actually like that the insta squad are problematic as fuck and happen to be queer. Like just cause your a gay baby doesnt mean you arent an ass. s6 for me personally was ok maybe its unfair of me but I expect amazing writing out of druck and s6 to me was not their best. It could have been amazing they touched so many topics but never deeply explored them and I wanted more for fatou. Also def got the vibes at the end they were panicking on who to main next season so everyone got a little plot thread but that also distracted me from fatou but I love the Mailin plot it was really smart and done well. I didnt hate her but boy did she bug the shit out me.That how you write modern day racism and white privilege. I just wish Ava’s plot was spread more onto fatou they were moments but i wanted more. So I guess I do think out of the original seasons druck s5 is the best. Nora being white didnt matter because she was written well but i do think Tiff being the main out of skamfr wasnt the best choice but then seeing Lucie act am like ok i get it but honestly I expect that from that cast they can all kill it so why not let someone else be the main and not tiff. BTW druck’s cast is good too I just dont think they are as good as the skamfr cast on the acting front but they are some members that are very very good. Like you said because Druck does listen I hope they listen to the honest criticism of s6. I know some people are like its the best ever but like its not....am sorry s5 was way better then s6 and that makes me sad because i want my black girl magic.... I do expect s7 to be good because when the writers for druck have the room to take their time they always kill it but I also feel like they are about to pull a Tiff on us and main Ismail(plus constantine as the side plot) but if I trust anyone with not fucking it up its them. Concerning the fandoms I live off tag and I do that for a reason. The fandom tags are alot but the druck one is almost hostile and honestly you would love the show more if you didnt interact with it. The skamfr tag is hilarious because they are no anti’s its just a bunch of arm chair critics making memes at how ridiculous the frenchies are but in away it makes the remake super fun because no one cares anymore. The wtfock tag has really high highs and really insane lows. When its low its really low so I have decided to live off tag. For those who haven’t..... god speed. Your brave souls!!

finally opened tumblr in my computer just to say that im on s6 ep8 but im too scared to watch it!!! fatou started acting weird out of nowhere and there was so much tension between her and kieu my in that last bar scene it was so painful and awkward i dont know!! i hope everything gets resolved soon!! but yeah thots so far... REALLY relate to fatou because i had a very hard time on school with math and physics... i almost failed those like four times and was definetely driven to tears more than once lol... also mailin is so annoying this season? like everyone is chilling and shes like omg police are so horrible to black people look at this injustice :( like hellooo maybe your black friends dont want to be reminded of that when theyre just trying to mind their own business... like i get shes doing research but damn girl... also as the end of s6 approaches i really want to know who the next main will be!! im betting on a boy, i think ismail, as he had a moment with fatou in ep7... and his backstory is probably interesting as well, with constantin and everything... but also constantin seems to be having a hard time so maybe him? id love to get a more in depth look into kieu my but i know thats not gonna happen lol... i dont keep up with druck news so i apologize if the new main has been hinted at already and im just out of the loop.... or if there are no more seasons.... i hope there are tho...
