You know, even for just two months, Collector and King's friendship has already developed into something special.

When he and King first meet, Collector can barely keep their hands off of him, dragging him by the hand all over and grabbing him extremely close.

Come present day when our heroes have actually made it back, however, and Collector barely touches King. The only two times they initiate contact are when King chooses to offer a pinky promise to go talk to the Owl Beast and later when Collector leads King into their shared bedroom. This is good! It shows they learned boundaries and to keep their hands off of King and not smother him.

Collector's also learned boundaries when it comes to François! Although it was very devious of them to kick their plush under their bed so they could ask for François, they still respect King's decision to not let them hold him, and never touch François during the entire episode.

And hey, remember how King used to get so sick flying around with Luz that he couldn't help but throw up?

Look at him riding around with Collector now! Not a green face to be seen. It's likely through gradual exposure and a lot of encouragement and accomodation from Collector he was able to lose his problem with flight.

Speaking of which, what were the two even doing that they somehow took until nightfall to get to the Archive House? King comments they've "been gone for a while", but Collector declared they should return way back when they had just finished the play session with Terra.

...Were they just doing tricks and flying around having fun? If so, that's kind of cute to imagine, and a nice break from them just playing pretend with those poor puppet-people all the time. It shows they're confident enough to play together in other ways and have a good time.

I've also touched on this briefly, but it's also cute when you realize that Collector asking what mortals eat was his attempt at joking around with King, who also isntantly recognizes this and doesn't even need to say a thing to show it. That alone says a lot about what stage their communication skills with each other has gotten to.

King's also starting to trust Collector to the point that he straight up tells Eda and Lilith that he could get Collector to turn Hooty back to normal as if he trusts he can easily sway his opinion by just asking.

A side note on this, it's interesting to me immediately after being told no King brings up missing Luz.

It's probably just there for pacing convenience but part of me likes to think it's because he thinks Luz of all people would be the one to see things his way and agree that they should befriend the Collector. She WAS always the optimist of the trio after all.

And Collector doesn't actually seem to mind seeing Eda out of her beast form talking to King, the only thing he really cares about is whether his best friend is looking out for him or not. Being tricked about the Owl Beast situation seems to not matter to Collector as long as King is happy by his side.

Their relationship isn't perfect. They aren't best friends, despite what the Collector says, because King doesn't see them that way. Collector wants them to be equals and sees them as such, but it takes King almost up until this very episode to realize this and stop fearing a punishment that's not going to come.

Even after things are resolved, they still probably aren't going to be able to call themselves best friends, or even good friends. But they have a budding friendship at the very least, they've grown and learned a lot from each other, specially Collector who was desperately in need of a good role model (and it's funny only titans so far have provided that by pure coincidence).

With dedication from both parts, maybe in the future they can say befriending each other was one of the best decisions they've ever made.

ANYWAY this is my no 1 fav i've been back and re-read it about 7 times. love the Camila Noceda POV; the way it captures the chaos of all 6 kids in the house and makes it feel so real & vivid; the absolutely brutal Hunter characterisation. if ur a Hunter fan go read this right away.

The view from the staircase is, well, not stunning, that’s definitely not the word. It’s just that “view” is supposed to be accompanied by “stunning,” and Luz can feel her brain coming to a screeching halt and refusing to process what they’re seeing. It's skeletons. Come on, they both knew it was going to be skeletons. The entire Isles know at this point. (Or: despite what the stories would have you believe, in the aftermath, there are things to deal with. Those things include ruined infrastructure, electing new leaders, and prosecuting those responsible for the old regime. And apparently, also Grimwalker mass graves.)

so imagine this, you're sitting in the Noceda's basement with Hunter and Gus, and you're in the middle and Hunter is to your right and Gus is sitting to your left, and Hunter smoothly slides his hand next to yours and interlocks your pinkies. UGH. He just does that whenever you're next to him like sometimes he doesn't even know he does it, yk?

He fidgets alot, like ALOT so sometimes he just grabs your hand and started cracking your knuckles (after you taught him how to do it after he saw you doing it). Like you could be having a conversation w Eda in the Owl House and Hunter is sitting right next to you and he just grabs your hand and just starts cracking your knuckles 😭

He just stares at you with heart eyes, he's so whipped, like you could be working w/ Luz and Luz points to him and giggles because he looks so cute while looking at you!

When you are also in the basement in the human realm and have your earbuds in he leans in closer to try and hear your favorite song and then you catch him humming to it while he's working on sewing 😍

He's just the sweetest boy ever to you, he's so nervous around you too, so 80% of the time he just giggles when he sees you, not in a mean way, like a nervous way!

he just is always grabbing your hand like no acceptions. Sleeping? No, Hunter has a grab on your hand. Cooking? No. Hunter still has a hold on your hand. Its so cute though that you let it slide LMFAO.

This week on "Dadrius can still win" I bring you:

Dana's newest art of the Hexsquad & Hagsquad, focusing specifically on Hunter.

1. That outfit is FAR too fashionable to be clothes Hunter picked himself, or any other adult in his life would've for that matter (no offense to Camila, offense to Eda tho). From the nice dress shoes, to the fitted yet baggy jeans, the sleek jacket, sunglasses, and slicked back hair, this entire look screams "Darius picked it out for me :)"

2. Patches on the jeans & jacket, both a reflection of Hunter's current obsession with mending clothes but also that sewing is a part of his relationship with Darius, being the one who initially taught him & that Hunter observed enough of his handiwork to notably recall details of how it looked vs the sewing machine.

4. Hunter's demeanor. Hunter's a dork, that's what we love about him. Yes he's a competent fighter & has decent parkour moves & has confidence in his abilities, but he's not exactly suave or cool. That air he's got feels so much like Darius', with it being even funnier that Darius is also putting on fronts a bit with it.

3. The patches themselves!!! We got a King face, one polkadot patch & two striped patches (patterns are another fashion thing, aka something Darius cares about), a flower (that looks similar to the ones Willow has all over her jeans), the "Quitter Badge" that Eda made for her Bad Girl Coven that she offered to Luz back in "The First Day" (it took me FOREVER to read it before I realized it was a show reference. Also there's a second connection to the Clawthorne fam on his jacket), a Cardinal wing in the center of his back (rip Flapjack my beloved), and last but not least an abomination coven logo. Hmmm, that's a bit random isn't it! He's never shown a particular interest in abomination magic -- unlike how he has for wild magic -- but also the Coven system was a product of Belos, someone Hunter has finally cut off from his life. So. The abomination logo can only be a reference to Darius, otherwise Hunter has literally no ties to it so it'd make no sense being one of the patches on his jacket. And the fact he has that patch that can ONLY be for Darius feels like an extremely blatant reference to their relationship.

Edit: 3.A. The abomination patch is actually not the exact coven logo, it has a ponytail added to it, which is Darius' signature style. Further points to Dadrius with the abomination patch

Anyway here's teen Darius to match because omg he's so fucking cute & a GOOBER. DARIUS HAS BEEN A LIFELONG GOOBER.

i don't like the way spop and toh separated the main couple from their other friends.

OBVIOUSLY, l/umity is a hundred times better than c//a and i appreciate that we could see luz and amity being a cute couple instead of them getting together only in the end, but i noticed that luz barely interacts with gus and willow in season 2 and beyond. in turn, hunter ended up replacing luz to be part of their trio (and gus ended up ignored too so h/untlow could become canon). i also hate that, in the series finale, luz only reunites with amity and camila. we do not see luz tearfully hugging gus and willow (and hunter, who, y'know, was the only person luz felt like she could count on in thanks to them. their friendship was completely ignored after that). they were best friends! why were they pushed aside?

spop does a similar thing in s5. adora is separated from glimmer and bow so only c//a gets the spotlight. i do believe spop was even shittier to platonic relationships bc toh at least prioritizes luz, eda and king's bond in the final battle. even then, i hate that both shows decide to ignore the main character's friend group to make way for the romance.

In the begging, everything was a little bit awkward. Sweet, but awkward. Of course, that is to be expected when someone first starts dating, and three people at that! But alas, you all worked through all of the nervousness and became even closer than before!

Sometimes, being in a relationship with three people can be a bit chaotic, but luckily, you’re all masters of talking things out. Trust is one of the most important things in a relationship you know!

Luz and Amity has sort of a “sun and moon” thing going on, with you being their eclipse to balance it all out. Perfect relationship in every way!

When it comes to comfort, these girls are the best! First of all, they are both such good listeners and they give the best advice when you need it. Although, sometimes people don’t really want advice or logic when their feeling blue, and in that case, you’re girlfriends are ready with as much cuddles and words of affirmation as you need! Supportive gfs <3

Speaking of cuddles, Luz and Amity both give such good hugs, their heavenly fr. Even though Amity can sometimes be a bit awkward about it (her body just goes stiff as a board), it’s always so wholesome and sweet. Usually, Luz is the big spoon with either you or Amity in the middle, or you guys are all just huddled up in one big messy pile. Eda and King always finds it so adorable whenever you guys fall asleep together on the couch, and you can trust that they take a bunch of pictures too.

Amity often gets really flustered around you and Luz, which usually results in a lot of teasing. Her tomato face can just be too cute sometimes, and trust me, you get to se it A LOT!

Luz however doesn’t get flustered as much as Amity, but it’s still easy to get a stunned expression and red tinted cheeks out of her. You just gotta know what to say.

Now, when it comes to the rest of the gang, they all support you guys so much! They think it’s so cool that you guys have a relationship, and even though they tease you about it from time to time (especially Eda, while Hunter mostly gets annoyed from all your lovey dovey stuff), they truly think that what you guys have is the sweetest thing ever. Oh and Hooty is your biggest fangirl, I’m not even joking.

Luz and Amity can be protective AF! Don’t get me wrong, they don’t really go around and get jealous of everything and stuff, but if anyone, witch or human, says anything to upset their girl, they’re really gonna get it.

Kisses with these two are usually fast and sweet.

Luz normally just goes in for a quick peck before turning away with pink tinted cheeks and a small smile, acting like nothing happened.

Amity on the other hand looks at you a bit before slowly leaning in. Afterward, she quickly retrieves, face completely burning up and her eyes as wide as plates. (Sort of like when she kissed Luz’s cheek in that one episode)

These girls are absolute suckers for hugs n’ kisses, and especially when they’re from you~

You guys are the most dorky couple EVER! Your all so silly, it’s adorable honestly.

Luz definitely loves picking her two girls up. She might say she has weak nerd arms, but we’ve all seen that that’s not true. There has been moments when she just comes up behind you, and with a little “aaand scoop!” she simply swipes you off of the ground while giggling.

I feel like you all give off kinda like a summerly girl in red vibe.

You and your girlfriends DEFINITELY have sleepovers and Azura movie nights! (I also said this in my Amity fic, haha)

Praise is one of the main factors of your relationship. These girl got TRAUMA and since you probably also got some as well (taken in perspective that the whole cast of this show have and does go through a lot), praise and words of affirmation/encouragement is super important to them.

When you got sent to the human realm, it was a hard time for everyone, but with the love and support from each other, you all managed to make the best of it and have a wonderful time together.

Camilla absolutely loves you and Amity so much, she is such a sweetheart!!

After some quality time spent in the human realm, you and the others, along with Camilla, finally managed to return to the Boiling Isles. And as we all know, even more challenges were lying ahead.

When things seemed dark, you, Luz and Amity always stuck together, and supported each other the whole way, never ever letting you or each other feel like they were alone in this.

In the end, you all helped each other so much with developing as a person! With all of the love and encouragement, everything turned out just fine, and these girls couldn’t be happier! Ever since this whole crazy adventure started, you’ve all gotten so much closer together, and really formed a special bond. To be able to be in a relationship with you like this is the best things to have happened to either Luz or Amity, and they never want to let that go in the hopes to someday be able to put a ring on it.

Random Headcanons

After defeating Belos, Luz really did think that she was going back to Hexside. But Camila had a a talk with Bump and they both agreed that Luz should finish school in the human realm first. Luz wasn't exactly happy with this decision but she respected her mom's wishes.

Amity (and by extension The Hexsquad) love Camila's cooking. She likes food from the demon realm too, but she likes that it's different.

Darius insisted on giving Camila some compensation for taking care of Hunter for as long as she did, but Camila didn't know what she was going to do with so many snails. Then Luz explained that "snails" was money. Camila still didn't know what she was gonna do with it.

The portal door was built with a bit of King's blood. Camila helped. King was given a cookie. "I'm a blood donor," he said. It was very cute.

Eda wasn't sure how to be headmaster of a university. She asked Bump for advice. He said no.

Lilith and Amity reignited their master-student relationship after Lilith got a bit jealous of Eda and Luz.

Amity is an Indiana Jones-style adventurer, looking for artifacts for Lilith to learn the Isles' true history instead of the one Belos taught.

Luz would try to go to The Owl House as often as she could. Mostly after school and weekends. Got kinda awkward when Amity would try to go see her at the same time.

Edric is the "lowest ranking member" of the Bad Girl Coven. It just means King can boss him around. Ed's okay with it (mostly).

Thank you! Okay this is gonna be a LONG one.

Despite telling Luz that when she'd meet her mom she'd bring out the charm, Eda actually finds herself VERY nervous around Camila at first.

Of course to Eda, she thinks she just feels this way because she wants Camila to see her as a good mother to Luz. The only other person that she cares what they think of her was Raine. And funnily enough, she acts in a nervous mess around Camila similarly to she first acted around Raine 🤔

She initially tries to present herself in a more composed and "respectable" version of herself around Camila to the point that even Luz and Raine notice and question her about it. Camila is also a little off putted because this is NOT how Luz described the cool witch lady she's been living with.

Eventually however, she becomes comfortable enough around Camila to show her true self and Camila actually likes Eda more as herself than the fake persona she was trying to put on.

They end up becoming very close friends, so much so that they hang out even when Luz isn't there. Eda's never been this close another woman before besides her sister. And after Manny died, Camila focused all of her attention on Luz so was never able to form a bond with anyone else.

In fact, they become so close that Eda starts jokingly flirting with Camila, and casually bringing up how hot she is. To which Camila would always respond with something along the lines of "Oh you don't really mean that". Eda thinks this is Camila just being modest. But in reality this time Camila is the one getting flustered. Especially since she also finds Eda very attractive..

The only other person Camila has ever loved was Manny, when he died Camila never tried to connect with someone else, especially not another woman. She knew her daughter was bi, but she herself has never questioned her sexuality.

That kinda thing was for the youth today, she never grew up knowing you can like more than one gender. But then here's Eda, a woman the same age as her, who is also bi, and in a relationship with a nonbinary person. Raine and Eda seem like the perfect relationship to her. Oh how she wished she could be apart of it.

Eda's talked to Camila about Raine before, she knows how much Eda loves THEM. And Camila could see why, Raine also seemed like the perfect partner. So one day, Camila finally admits her feelings to Eda, with the intent on ending their friendship because she doesn't want to come between Eda and Raine.

It was until then that Eda realized she ALSO developed feelings for Camila. Eda goes home that day and talks to Raine about what happened and they discuss the idea of a poly relationship.

When they go together to discuss this with Camila, she can't believe that not only is it possible to date more than one person and they're inviting HER to be apart of their loving relationship.

Eda and Camila were worried about how Luz would react. Her feelings came first to them, if she didn't like the idea of them in a relationship then they would end it. But Luz was overjoyed at both of her moms being together and all of them being one happy family.

i'm so mean about the owl house on here but i do want to clarify that i have seen the whole show, and i think it is cute and charming and has good politics and i'm glad children (including my brother, who really liked it!) have this to grow up to. i don't actually think that as an adult i have an obligation to like every piece of children's media i show to kids, or that as a lesbian i have an obligation to like every piece of "representation" we are given. this show is not for me, but it's still good for what it is, and deserved better from the network. i respect dana terrace a lot and think she did a great job with the resources and limitations she had. i enjoyed watching the show, and thought parts of it were even brilliant (eda's struggle with her chronic illness, the implications of christian missionary colonialism as being the original sin at the heart of the united states, luz's relationship with her mom, the collector as a villain along the lines of anthony in "it's a good life" by jerome bixby). the only reason i disparage it as often as i do is because i grew bitter over seeing how many people my age were genuinely fawning over this show and its largely shallow and cliched cast of characters. maybe i'm missing something and it simply never clicked for me (besides eda, who is the goat), but there was something very irksome to me about the way people compared it to its sister show amphibia as if it was the obviously superior child [of gravity falls]. amphibia may have been less plot-focused and less superficially compelling, but it was a show that truly understood its characters and took its time to develop them thoughtfully and carefully. luz noceda has nothing on anne boonchuy, amity blight has nothing on sasha waybright, willow park has nothing on marcy wu, gus porter has nothing on sprig plantar, etc etc. (ok fine eda clawthorne may have something on hopediah plantar, but i can't help loving disabled milves it's literally written in my contract!) so my point isn't that the owl house is bad (it isn't!), but simply that i found it somewhat hollow at its core. it was clearly a labor of love, and i have nothing but respect for dana terrace, alex hirsch, and the rest of the crew for making the most with what they had. so if you love it, more power to you! i wanted to love it so badly. anyway stream amphibia

I don’t care if you ship Lunter. I like Huntlow. That’s my opinion. No, im not gonna change it coz you think so. Have your opinion, just don’t go barking at me.

In my OPINION: (see the word opinion)-(you can have ur own)

HUNTLOW/WINTER: bestest ship. Works well. They complete eachother and only have a 1 and 1/2 (approx) age difference, which is pretty normal for teens. My personal favourite. Very cute, fluffy and makes u have the fuzzies. They have a good chance of long lasting relationship.

LUNTER: Lunter would work. Lunter is undeniably a great relationship. Only 2 year age gap (approx), also normal teen age. They go well together. But I headcannon them as siblings. HEADCANNON. So for me, Lunter is sweet home Alabama.

*EDIT: I no longer headcannon Lunter as siblings but I do think they they see each other as siblings.

GUNTER: Look, ship what you want but the age difference is too much for me, 4 years, isn’t a lot, but while in teenage years, it’s a bit weird. Maybe when they’re older, like in their 20’s, but as teens? Not so great. They’re closer to brothers. They would support each other. Good relationship.

HUNTRIC/GOLDRIC: Objectively, there is nothing wrong with it. They’d probably get along super well. Same age. But they haven’t even met. And along with my ‘Luz and Hunter Siblings’ headcannon, it would be a brother-in-law, so also quite incest.

AMITER: They would fight a bit, both having competitive attitudes and lots and lots of trauma. All the characters have trauma but I think Amity and Hunter as a couple would overthrow the trauma scale. Also I’m a Lumity person, so Amiter just doesn’t work for me.

HUNTLOWDRIC: um. Imma have to go with a no. Nothing wrong with it except the fact: Hunter and Edric have never met, Willow has trauma with Amity despite making it up, dating her brother is a little weird, and again it would all revolve back to the siblings thing.

*EDIT: no sibling thing

SKARA AND/OR VINEY X HUNTER: Both of them would be compatible with him, but I headcannon Viney as Lesbian. Skara, she’d be fine. If Willow didn’t exist she’d probably be what I’d ship Hunter with.

VINEARA: Very goods. I likes. Viney x Skara is good, but not my fav Viney ship. Skara sits with bat boy.

VINEMIRA: Best Viney ship. Viney and Emira. The lebanons. Lesbeans. Lesbiabians. Women lovers. Both headcannoned as lesbiansss.

LUMITY: yes. Shows main ship. Cannon. Works well. Help each other. Just yes.

GUSTHOLOMULE: not a popular ship, but I quite enjoy it. Matt is gay af. I think it’s a cool ship.

GUS X BRIA: no. I don’t- why- why. Why is this… I don’t get it.

Cause, like, her and Luz are sisters, but that's through Eda, and Hunter and Vee aren't her kids like Luz is. They're still Luz's siblings, though, so are they Bronwyn's too? I think that'd be really cute. Idk, I'm just so curious about it now

The Owl House Is A Bit of A Mixed Bag When It Comes To Ships

The Owl House is a show that I love a lot, but when it comes to relationships I have some mixed feelings. Now, I don't hate ships in TOH but I do have some issues with them.

The Good

First let's start of with the good; one of the things I like about how TOH handles its ships is how they don't overtake the plot or anything, which is a pretty easy trap that any show with romance can fall into (looking at you Star vs). There's also no bullshit romance drama in the show (the closest thing we get to that is Luz not opening up in S2 EP11 and EP14 but that was about it and its also executed in a way that's not absolutely insufferable).

Lumity is also the show's best relationship; it's gradually built up over the course of season 1 and the first half of season 2 and they are legitimately pretty cute together. Ships like Veesha and Aladraius are also pretty neat. So now let's get into...

The Problems

NOTE: Any issues I have with TOH's ships are most likely due to the shortening, so take my critiques with a grain of salt. Also there will be some criticism levidied towards Huntlow and Reada, if you don't like that don't read the rest of this post.

I think my issues with TOH's ships have to come with the ship's themselves, mainly Raeda and Huntlow. Lumity is good as I already said but the other two have a few issues. First I'ma talk about Huntlow; I don't hate Huntlow as a ship, It's OK, I just think it could have been done a bit better.

The ship mainly suffers from being less developed than Lumity, as Willow and Hunter don't really have that much-developed chemistry with each other. There is one interesting thing about the ship though, that being how they are both young witchlings that were shunned for not being born strong and called a "half-a-witch". That is an interesting parallel, but I don't really think the show develops they're relationship beyond that. The ship is just kinda underdeveloped which is my main problem with it, they're relationship just isn't that fleshed out to me, and as a result, it feels a little bit rushed.

I WILL say though, the moment they had in FTF is cute, it's neat harmless little fan service that doesn't take away from the plot or characters, which is nice.

But overall Huntlow isn't terrible but I have my fair share of issues with it. I honestly feel like this ship has more developed chemistry in fan works than in canon. Like, seriously, Willow and Hunter are incredibly cute together in a lot of Huntlow fan works more than in the actual show.

Anyways, now let's get into...Raeda. I've already talked about this ship before and why I personally don't care for it so I won't go too in depth here, but Raeda to me just suffers from how Raine, as a character, is heavily defined by Eda, and they don't have much depth outside of that. If Raine as a character had more independence from Eda I would have liked this ship a lot more, but they don't.

Again, my issues of Huntlow and Raeda are purely there because of the shortening. If the show wasn't shortened than Huntlow would've definitely been more developed, and Raine would have been a better character with more actual development beyond "Eda's ex".

Conclusion

So ya, that's my thoughts on TOH ships. The shipping in the show isn't bad but I think it could've been better, though again, it's worth mentioning the show got shortened so these problems aren't necessarily its fault, buuuuuut my points still stand. So....bye.

My opinion on popular TOH ships! (No hate to anyone, these just my opinions ^^)

Amity x Luz: Perfect. Perfect in every way. Just two happy little love doves who would part the sea for each other. And it's Canon! 10/10

Hunter x Willow: I LOVE this ship. Hunter and Willow were practically made for each other, my two blorbos ahhhh I can't it's too cuteee plus its kinda implied in the show <3 11/10

Raine x Eda: These two old scraggly witches, can't get enough of them. I love their dynamic and they are so loving to each other! 9/10

Vee x Masha: Vee DESERVES a beautiful enby partner, like, come on people. They would be soooo cute together ahhh 10/10

Gus x Mattholomule: I personally enjoy this one! I think it would be a slow burner but in the end just an adorable well rounded gay couple. 8/10

Luz x really anyone but Amity: I'm not really a fan of Luz x anyone else since 1: that means Luz and Amity would've broken up in most cases and that makes me sad :< and 2: Amity and Luz's dynamic is so perfect it can't be beat. Though it could be worse. 3/10

Hunter x Edric/Emira: I honestly have no idea where this one came from but I really don't like it. It's a bit to random for me, and I don't know enough about the twins to know if they would be good for my blorbo child. 2/10

Lilith x anyone: One sentence. Lilith is canon aro/ace. 0/10

Belos x anyone: Unless it's an au I don't like it. Belos don't deserve love. Blegh. 1/10

Boscha x Willow: Uhmmmm I'm not really a fan of bullies to lovers (Lumity DOESNT count T-T) and Boscha is really clingy, a bit too much for me to think this would work out. 2/10

Darius x Alador: Y e s . Alador deserves a happy relationship after the Odalia incident. 8/10

Eda x Camilla: This doesn't really sit right with me but girlboss I guess. 5/10

My Thoughts Lumity and Huntlow (Sorta a Hot take)

Okay, I know this isn't a new discussion within the community, but does anyone else dislike how Lumity and Huntlow are written within the show by regressing their characters' arcs or traits just to be solely dependent on their canonical partners? (The episode "For the Future" I'm looking at you.) It's very prominent with Amity & Willow's side of the relationship, then Luz & Hunter.

Seriously, name more than one episode in Season 2 that focuses & carries on Amity's development for most of the duration, whether on her family dynamics or friendship with Willow, that doesn't immediately get sidelined for whatever Luz is doing or conflict she has.

Inherently, it's not bad for Amity to stop to check on Luz to see that she is okay. The problem is after that. The show writers don't show her concluding most of the arcs she strived for, allowing her to grow on her terms & seeking the potential of her character because of the tethering of Lumity, which serve no purpose in the narrative sense besides cute fluff that has no substance just like the chemistry between Hunter and Willow. (Sorry, I had to dunk on this ship.)

However, my biggest annoyance with these two ships is how they never address or show any conflict between the canonical partners, specifically how often Luz lies to Amity, which leaves Amity to self-doubting herself for Luz, or how Willow doesn't know anything about Hunter's trauma experiences with Belos. As a result, this writing choice often makes the relationships feel disingenuous about how much they mean to each other if one side isn't acknowledged.

In comparison, the dynamics of the relationships between Lunter & Raeda work within the show narratively so well because the show doesn't sacrifice Luz/Hunter & Raine/Eda's character and addresses both characters' conflict on equal footing, allowing both members of the relationship to have a good understanding each other making the dynamic feel stronger emotionally when both decide to help each other to overcome a mental obstacle. You can't tell me episodes like Hollow Mind, Thanks to Them, Eda's Requiem, Follies at the Coven Day Parade & O Titan Where Art Thou didn't have any emotional investment from you because you know you lying.

Another reason I consider Lunter & Raeda better than Lumity or Huntlow, besides feeling naturally paced & written within the show, is that they are not solely reliant on each other but can depend on each other. However, not to the point that they are incapable of holding their centric episodes of self-growth or selflessness, which all four members have proven multiple times that they can be independent.
