hey!! could you possibly do a Tommy Shelby x sister reader ?? With “ you can talk to me about anything. you know that, right? “ prompt basically just him being there for his younger sister the rest is up to you :)) but if you don’t want to do this that’s totally okay :)
Its been a while since i got one of these
The back step
Cw: mentions of underage smoking, mental health issues, suicide and death

You never knew your mother nor your father.
You were barely two when she stepped into the cut after Finn's birth and dad’s abandonment made a wreck of whatever hadn’t been ruined by the pills and booze.
Just because you didn’t have her or our father didn’t mean you lacked parents.
Your brothers and sister and your aunt Polly made damn sure you never lacked the love of a parent.
But then your brothers enlisted and left for France and in 1917, John's wife ,Martha, died and you had to help with John’s little ones and Finn while Ada and Polly ran the shop.
You were fourteen when they came back.
It was odd, they were odd.
They had nightmares, they drank and smoked more, Tommy took up opium and John simply couldn’t handle being a single father.
You got used to it, learned to avoid getting stuck in a bad place and learned the hard way that you don’t wake them up from their nightmares.
And in the mean time, Ada taught you to be a lady.
Taught you how to do your hair like hers, how to put on eyeliner without smearing what little they have and turn you into a woman.
When you get bold enough to steal a kiss from a Lee boy, Polly is absolutely livid with you.
You think you’ve heard the end of it until you overhear Polly and Tommy talk about a marriage with the Lee family after their grenade nearly killed Finn.
You hear Arthur suggest you because it would be a while until it happens because you are only fourteen.
When Polly tells them about the boy you kissed, you know its over for you.
The next morning you cannot pretend to be okay, you avoid their eyes, you snap at the barmaid for not minding her own business and eventually Tommy’s letting you smoke a cigarette with him on the back step.
“You can talk to me about anything. You know that, right?” he asked you softly, almost as if he was himself again.
The Tommy you knew was gone.
Sure he was there sometimes, but this Tommy Shelby didn’t laugh or dream or even dance anymore.
It was odd having your brother back. Made it all much worse, you think.
You get him back just as they’ll make you marry a boy you hardly know.
“I heard you want to marry me off to the boy I kissed.” You answer, looking at your feet in shame.
Shame because you are a girl and when the boys sleep around with women like Lizzie and Grace, they don’t get into trouble.
John wants to marry Lizzie, not because they love each other, but because she is the only one strong enough to raise his children and he brave enough to trust her.
“If you’d stuck around, kid, you would’ve heard me say John was the one we’re going to offer them.” Tommy said rubbing the cigarette on his lip before lighting it.
“Oh.” What else do you say? “Isn’t he engaged to Lizzie?”
“Not anymore, he needs a wife he can trust and raise his children to be as good as you and Finn. A wife people won’t laugh about in his face.” He explained as if you were as grown up as him.
Only one who didn’t treat you like a kid.
Maybe that was why he had been your favorite brother before the war.
“When will you tell him?” you ask hoping for an answer you won’t get.
“Day after tomorrow, and don’t think about telling him. If you tell him, he’ll run.” Your brother answered and somehow you agreed to it.
“I don’t want them to be hurt, Tommy.” You say hoping he will take his words back and tell John. “What if John hates me after?”
It’s his life after all.
“He won’t, you’ve met Esme Lee, she’s perfect for him. He’ll be too busy being happy with her to ever be mad at us, sweetheart.” Your brother says and you believe him.
And he is right, John tells you himself that he’s not angry at you for lying to him just as Ada goes into labor.
When Polly sends you to call the midwife because she and Esme aren’t enough, you find Grace calling the police.
When you tell Tommy, she tells him you’re lying.
And for a moment you think he believes her.
But he doesn’t. Not when the police come to arrest Freddie.
He is out drinking and smoking on the back step looking like hell.
It wasn’t his fault he fell in love with a rat and you can’t make him better, but you can do one thing.
“You can talk to me about anything. You know that, right?” you ask as you sit down beside him.

i have this superbat fic idea,
where Bruce did not become Batman but after returning from his travels, gave away all his worldly possessions and became a priest. his Gotham parish has an orphanage built and paid for by the Martha Wayne foundation and there are all the Batkids going in and out.
then one day Clark comes to confess that he hears voices that tell him he's the son of God since he can remember. and tell him where and when to help (little things that are shown later too). and naturally Bruce does not believe this and sides with Clark's therapists since forever, that he has a form of schizophrenia instead of being the Second Coming.
but Bruce goes on and talks to Clark and invites him to help in the parish. and so they slowly fall in love. they know they are in love but do not act on it. (maybe some drunk-no-we-can't secret kisses to keep the slowburn going).
then Jason dies in a gang war. and Bruce is so grief stricken that him and Clark end up in bed for comfort. and while still lying together Bruce says someting along the lines of,
"If you were him, I would beg you to bring back my son."
and Clark is like "If I was, I would do it like this" and snips his fingers.
that night Jason rises from the dead and bangs on Bruces door. Bruce goes to help the dirty, disoriented boy, while Clark runs away with an existential crisis (because he no longer believed the voices to be real).
Bruce finds him a few days later cooped up in his flat and tries to argue that it was a coincidence. but Jason had had a biopsy, which means they took out all the organs before putting them back inside. that boy had been as dead as possible. so Bruce goes,
"Fine. If you are him, then you can go on an heal my old knee wound." (because my versin of priest!Bruce lives in the intercity, feeds the homeless and beats up thugs when it's called for, having some of his canon scars.)
and Clark heals his knee, because plot twist, he's the actual Second Coming. Bruce loses it a bit and goes to his knees, apologizing for not believing. Clark begs him to get up and please never to treat him any differently than he had before.
"Because you have always treated me with such reverence and care already. And I would't know what to do with all that cold devotion from someone I love so deeply."
and they embrace.
and Bruce is like, "Whatever happens now, you can never call me daddy."

Hi, if requests are still open and if you still write for Hamilton could I request an imagine where the fem!reader was Alex’s wife, they met and fell in love during the Winter's ball. And, she first met him when she was in the war (dressed as a man) but Alex never knew it was her until he found out himself. And maybe has a near-death experience fighting in a duel for any reason you want. And years later, she maybe becomes a lawyer/statesman or whatever as long as she's not a housewife and she finds out Alex had an affair and she like goes to Laurens for comfort but he ends up confessing he has loved her since day one when they met at the Winter's ball but saw she was so much happier with Alex (and it's kind of like an Angelica situation.) and how he would have never if he knew that was what Alex was going to do to her. And finally, he asked her to be with him. Also, could you please make the reader Washington's adopted daughter? I know it's a lot but even if you don't do it, thank you for just reading it. I just kinda wanted a lot of angst followed by fluff but since I can't stand the thought of having been with some who cheated on me and didn't love me, could you please make Alex still love the reader but realize if he wanted her to be happy, he would have to let her go and as soon as the Reader is thinking "You know what? I should forgive." He just dies. I feel bad for the Reader, not gonna lie. Thank you again. <33
Prompts: "May I have this dance?" (Hamilton to Reader) "Shit, are you bleeding?!" (Hamilton to Reader) “You need to leave. Right now.” (Reader to Hamilton) “You need to let her go.” (Anyone who seems right to Hamilton) "Those things you said yesterday… Did you mean them?" (Laurens to Reader) But hey, it’s up to you, I'm just giving suggestions on what I was thinking.
Note: And yes, in my fantasy world, Laurens doesn't die and is still alive in Act II.
😮😍 I love this request! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I hope you don't mind but I'm turning this into a two part.
warning: angst,character death,cheating
Why does love hurt so much? Pt. 1
I was reading my book in my room when my dad, George Washington, knocked gently against the door. Well if you want to get technical he's my adoptive dad. My biological parents when I was young and was sent to the orphanage when George and his wife ,Martha, adopted me. I closed my book and put it down and called out "Come in!" When Dad came in I immediately knew that something was wrong. He was fiddling with his hands and his eyes cast down onto the floor looking frantic. "What is it father?"
"Y/N I need to tell you something," I looked at him curiously while Dad was looking like he was trying to find the right words to say. "There is really no way to say this but I'm going to go to war." He said this quickly and nervously watching to see how I'll react.I didn't respond, not at first I looked at him with a blank expression trying to comprehend what he just said.
"What?" He remained silent like he was waiting for me to tell, scream, or do something. "Let me come with you, I can help!"
"No! You're not coming, it's too dangerous."
"But you're going! You will be there to look after me and you taught me to use a gun since I was ten!"
"I won't always be there to look after you, I couldn't live with myself if something happened to you. Just promise me that you won't follow me."
I sighed in defeat "I promise." Dad came up to me and hugged me. I hugged back thinking about how I lied to his face.
I put my hair that's now shoulder length and tied my hair up. I looked down at myself with my uniform on with bandages over my breast to flatten them out. I nodded at my reflection in approval before walking out of my tent. My dad found out that I was pretending to be a man to fight in the war immediately but he kept my secret.
I approached my friends Lafayette, Hercules, John, and Alexander. We became friends quickly, and no. They have no idea that I'm a woman and plan to keep it that way. There is one problem, I developed a crush on one of the four men. It's Alex, I couldn't help it. He's passionate, smart, and kind. "Hey James!" Hercules called over to me.
Yes James is the name that I chose because it was my biological dad's name. "Hi." I responded, lowering my voice and octive to keep from sounding too feminine. I sat next to Alexander and joined in on the conversation before we heard a loud noise. We all turned our heads to see what it was. It was the red coats, we sprung into action grabbing our guns.
There was death all around us with an overwhelming smell of blood but we had to keep moving I killed a couple men before they could kill me first. Then I was a man aiming for Alexander about to shoot, without thinking I shoved him out of the way and took the bullet. All I could hear was a distant yelling at the word "James!" He quickly rushed over and got in my field of vision. "Shit, you're bleeding."
"You need to leave. Right now." I responded not wanting him to find out. Alex ignored what I said and ripped my shirt off and saw the bandages being soaked with blood. He looked shocked at first but knew it wasn't the time to talk about it and used my shirt to apply pressure to the wound and rushed me to the medics.

Most Tragic Departure Contestant list
most tragic departure is sailing ahead, so might as well start working on the list now
note, a companion's departure is considered to be when they stop travelling (or working at UNIT) with the Doctor long term, not the last time we see them, so, for example, Rose's departure is Doomsday, not Journey's End or the End of Time, Jack's the Parting of the Ways, Martha's The Last of the Time Lords, etc
Susan Foreman (maybe she wanted to leave, but the doctor did lock her out, so we'll never know)
Katarina (dead)
Sara Kingdom (dead)
Dodo (sent to the country to recuperate from hypnotism, never seen again)
Jamie McCrimmon (memory wipe)
Zoe Heriot (memory wipe)
Mike Yates (betrayed everyone)
Sarah-Jane Smith (forced to leave because the Doctor got called back to Gallifrey, also she got left in Aberdeen, not Croydon)
Adric (dead)
Peri (???)
Ace (Ground Zero: dies in Nitro-9 explosion, Love and War: The Doctor kills her fiance)
Jack (abandonned)
Rose (stuck on parallel earth)
Astrid Peth (dead)
Donna (memory wipe)
Amy (Dead)
Rory (Dead)
River? (I guess Forest of the Dead counts as her departure, and she basically died, so...)
Clara(limbo between life and death, doctor doesn't remember her)
Nardole (would die shortly after)
Bill (cyberconverted)
Missy (came round to the doctor's way of thinking, got shot by past incarnation before she could go back and help)
Lucie Miller (dead)
Oliver Harper (dead)
C'rizz (dead)
Bret Vyon (dead)
Gillian and John (left behind)
Chris Cwej (left behind on gallifrey, memory wiped)
Roz Forrester (dead)
Fitz Kreiner (left behind)
Samson and Gemma (mind controlled and memory wiped by daleks)
Charley Pollard (going to need more context for this one)

You know, with DT's recent stint as 14, it's got me thinking about 10 too (no not tentoo) and obviously a lot about Donna but also Rose and Martha. Maybe one day I'll post about Martha, as she deserves her on post (and hey I'm writing fic with her in it now!). But Rose...
It's funny because I kinda ship Doctor/Rose but I kinda don't but I also do but in the "wrong way."
I don't...I don't see them in the way some do, especially back when it aired originally (I think fans as a whole got nuanced about them over time). I think a part of it is that I've always seen the Doctor as ace regardless of the regeneration and somewhere on the aro-panromantic scale depending on the specific regeneration.
And I don't think that lessens there ability to connect with people or to love them. Too be honest, I think the Doctor falls a little bit in love with everyone they meet. Which is both lovely and such a horrible curse for an immortal.
But, the Doctor met Rose right after the Time War. There's a degree that I think he found parts of himself that he lost in Rose Tyler. There's a degree to which you can see the warrior in Nine still, as much as he'd hate to recognize it. Rose was young and saw the universe afresh and ripe for adventure, so much like his earlier selves, but especially the early days of Eight*. How amazing must it feel to find someone who awakens parts of yourself that you thought died.
And that comes to the forefront with Ten, at least while Rose was still at his side. He's here to have fun! Adventure! Nevermind those closets in his mind where the horrors are hidden, contained but straining the hinges on the doors.
He loved her. He loved her for her, yes, but perhaps even more for what she made him be.
But, you know, that's like the opposite of dealing with your issues. And so when he lost her that's when things went downhill for him very quickly. He didn't know how to cope not only with the loss of her but the loss of her ability to seemingly make everything better. The closets she kept shut burst open, spilling out all their horrors.
And what comes after that is a Doctor who flirts with death, who apparently chooses not to regenerate in Smith and Jones and Turn Left. Who guards himself against Martha and treats her unfairly.
Which brings us to the Doctor and Martha, which as I said deserves a post of its own.
*That is when Eight actually knew who he was which wasn't as often as you think it should be. Boy, that man got amnesia often.

i don't think it's exactly a secret that i really don't like the rose/meta crisis ending.
firstly, we lose donna because of it. but mostly because of the implications. i also view the meta crisis in multiple ways. he's a clone but he isn't. he's not the true doctor but he is. it's complicated.
but let's get into it.
first of all, the reason that he even stays with rose in the first place is because the tenth doctor thinks he's a liability which is kind of dramatic but probably an incredible bit of foresight (he can see the turn of the universe right) and self awareness considering he goes all 'timelord victorious' later. two doctors in the same universe, one who's considerably more volatile than the other would definitely be a problem. i don't think davros reversed so quickly upon seeing him for no reason.
so as a solution, he needs to be with rose so she can keep him in check. because the takeway from her character is that she is a balm for the doctor, which reads less sweet, more patronising to her as an individual. i'm not surprised that story had her refer to him as a pet because that's literally what she's doing now. keeping him on a leash lest he go feral. why they didn't just give us a moment between the meta crisis doctor and rose doing something together to sow the seeds if they wanted the viewers to be sold on this, i don't know. now, i am not dismissing the idea that this ending was supposed to be divisive, but some of the vehement defending of it on here makes me raise an eyebrow.
anyway, my secondary point is the parallel world itself. the tardis dies upon getting there the first time, with the doctor comparing it to diesel in a petrol engine. he also states that after the time war, the worlds were closed off, but before that, travelling was possible but stressed that the tardis drew on energy from it's own universe which is why it didn't work in the parallell. now, we also know from rose's absence in that world, that there is probably a lot of people missing from it or people who never existed in the first place.
so. now i am left with everything the doctor would be leaving behind staying in pete's world. he would never see his own universe again. now, the prospect of exploring an unknown universe would be probably exciting but considering timelords do not exist there, it would be a pretty hostile place for him. maybe inventing his own way to travel would be fun for him. the whole 'grow a tardis' deleted scene was always dumb to me though, because despite how organic the ninth and tenth doctor's tardis looked like, it's still a machine. i don't think you can grow timelord technology. so that's out of the question. he would never see his old companions again. donna? martha? sarah jane? none of them? and, the biggest to me - his tardis? there is no way you can convince me the doctor would accept never seeing his beloved tardis again.
the doctor's reason for living is exploring the universe and travelling in his ship. so for him to give it up to stay with rose in pete's world doesn't seem romantic to me, it feels tragic. while rose may have wanted to settle down eventually, she knew he wouldn't. and he shouldn't have too. they both wanted different things so to make her get this ending that was forced upon him feels really unfair.
the metacrisis was born out of the engine of the dalek ship and donna's fear. and maybe 1 hour later he's exiled from everyone. to live this human life he's been intriguied by but never wanted. we find it in s3 he has a whole machine to make himself human. he. doesn't want. it. but now he hasn't got a choice. and for rose to jump on him right in front of the original doctor was just the cherry on top of a selfish cake which was even crazier considering that even rose was protesting that she didn't want this either.
none of it feels great. i'd much have preferred for rose to have gotten over it and live better for her experience in pete's world. the very idea of her growing colder and more selfish felt realistic though. but i don't think she should have been rewarded for it though.
i'm just not a fan.

Veronica + apocalypse AU
this ask is SO old. but–
1. Dear diary, the answer was hell. We were never going to make it to prom. Hell is much easier, though, because we were already headed toward it before Heather ever died. Even JD couldn't have known. I definitely didn't. Westerburg High is gone. So's Heather Duke, I think. Bitch that she might have been, she still didn't deserve to die. None of them did. I haven't prayed since Heather's funeral but I'm doing it again now.
2. Westerburg is one of many. Veronica is so caught up in bloodied hands and a boy who was a bomb that she misses the ones falling all around, darkening the sky. Ms. Fleming even goes silent when she realizes what's happening, foam finger falling from her hand as she gestures wildly to call the gawking teenagers inside. Heather Mac has a panic attack in the bathroom she was about to kill herself in, and Martha Dunnstock falls, her scooter tipping over in the chaos.
Veronica catches Martha even though soot gets on her purple sweatshirt, and they stake out a corner underneath the bleachers next to the goths. Teachers are screwing with the P.A. system to try and address the school, but feedback nearly pops a few eardrums. Betty Finn stands stock-still in the middle of the room for five minutes watching a smoke-darkened blue form settle a round, purple one, and when she realizes what's missing (the little sunshine, yellow-bright cheerleader to everyone but herself), she goes and fishes Mac out of the bathroom stall herself.
3. Dear diary, I miss my parents. They never really knew me, or at least not the me I really am, but they knew me, you know? They're my parents, and I don't even know if they're still alive.
It's been two weeks, and there's a new quartet at Westerburg — me, Heather Macnamara, Betty Finn, and Martha Dunnstock. I didn't realize that taking Chandler's scrunchie from Duke would be the last thing that ever happened to her. I don't even know how she died. Maybe she panicked and ran outside. I hope it wasn't painful.
I still have the gun from with JD, and his knife. I hope I don't have to use them. Everyone's been pretty civil, so far, and the teachers have organized people pretty well. It isn't the cutthroat culture we had under the Heathers. I don't know what it is now, but I think I'm helping build it.
4. Westerburg High School becomes a center point in the midst of a falling world. Heather's red scrunchie becomes a beacon for everyone who gathers there — Veronica Sawyer started a war, and came out the victor. Veronica Sawyer is a tragedy in oversized sooty clothes. Veronica Sawyer has the respect of everyone in that mangled gymnasium by virtue of a dead girl's hair tie and a living one's voice. Veronica Sawyer is a dead girl walking who made it through a bomb and a gunfight and stalks through the school halls with a cigarrette and smile for anyone who needs it. She never had a chance to tell anyone the war was over because a bigger one began just after hers ended.
Veronica Sawyer stands on a blocky speaker and says "Listen up, folks!" and they all do.
"We're all freaks and we're all damaged and we're all terrified, and that's alright."
She turns to the girl sitting on the stage, clad in purple, who nods, and Veronica nods back.
"We have a stovetop and we have Jiffy Pop and we have a movie Martha rented a month ago. Tonight, whatever else happens, we're going to watch a movie. Something with a happy ending."
5. Dear diary, my teen angst BS seems really stupid nowadays. Even Heather's death, even Ram and Kurt, all that seems so long ago and so, so stupid. Everything got so big so fast and I don't know when my world blew up, except that it started when JD did. I wish I'd spent more time softer, before, instead of having to go through all that and the end of the entire fucking world to figure it out. I wish I'd been better before, been nicer to Martha and to Betty and to Mac and not just because they're all I have. Now we all have each other, though, and I don't know if that would have happened otherwise. So.
I think my parents are dead. They may not have understood all the time but they loved me. If they were still around, they would have come looking by now. It's nearly Christmas.
At least we still have electricity. One of the younger boys found decorations in one of the storage rooms, so we have lights everywhere we can reach. Ms. Fleming brought the cinnamon candles from her office/bedroom into the gym yesterday, so it smells like the holidays, too. I don't know if anyone will have gifts, but at least we have the lights. We can still make it beautiful.

Hot'n'Fresh take on Flashpoint
(flashpoint as a concept, this is not a comic or movie review ok so like first if you know me you know that I fundamentally think the way Flashpoint Exists is Bad. It's just. Bad! It's just mean. even if unkilling nora doesn't make the timeline EXACTLY like it was in the Pre-killedNora timeline, the changes should still be localized. Central city, maybe state wide. but there's no reason 1 random woman's death in a totally different state should mean that Martha wayne goes batshit[pun intended] or that wonderwoman and aquaman suddenly lack all sense of morality and half of europe's underwater. that's stupid as fuck. SO. I propose 2 potential options. 1 is that Nora /always/ died that night. heart attack, slipped on the stairs, something mundane. then I can see /saving/ her entirely, not just changing the manner of death, as an acceptable reason for wider changes. I don't love it, but I can tolerate it. the second is. uh. in the OG, no murder timeline, things. uh. sucked. slightly to the left but like. all the flashpoint things? still a thing. Bruce dead. Aquaman and Wonder Woman doing their whole War Means Fuck King Brion and Also Western Europe bullshit. Kal El having the worst day ever repeatedly in government custody. all of it. there's still, like... some ok things? but over all it's not great! and then the reverse flash kills Nora--to be clear, 100% because he's a dick and wants to hurt the flash, nothing altruistic here--and suddenly the timeline's... nice. like, again, not perfect, but europe's intact, and Gotham's...marginally better off by a percent of a percent. (why? how? because fuck you that's why. real flashpoint never explained so i don't have to either) of course no one knows about this until /after/ flashpoint happens and Nora gets re-murdered and then somehow--probably a hero who can see past timelines-- brigs it up and oh that makes the whole JL real uncomfy real quick. Barry imediately decides if he has to live with this trauma he's going to fucking weaponize it. "Barry, it's your turn to have Monitor Duty" says Diana "will you do it?" "no." "even though my mom's dead, which is apparently the only thing between you and trying to wipe out a continent?" "....I will change the duty roster." "Flash, you need to do something about your Rogues," says Batman. "do I? hey, remind me, in the timeline where my mom's alive, is captain cold a serial murderer, or is that your mom?" "...noted."

here is my au of kwazii's family in my story love in the shallow seas you will know about Vincent and Steven
my story for this au changes about who kwazii's real parents are
one day i write about it being he was adopted by the two males after his parents died
then the next he was made in a lab after a experiment trash zone gone wrong and trans calico jack being Steven's father
but now I've decided how the story goes(story starts after introductions to the ocs you know kwazii and calico jack)
Martha: the mother of kwazii, full orange tabby, she is infertile
Zach: the father of kwazii and son of calico jack, half tuxedo cat half calico, also infertile
Steven: the brother of Martha and uncle of kwazii, a mature full tuxedo cat, he is trans
Vincent: a free spirited wolf who wants to have fun, he is bisexual gravitates more towards men tho
ok now onto the story
Martha and Zach really want a kid to carry on their long line of pirates both were saddened when they realized they were both infertile however Martha has a brother Steven works in a lab with his husband Vincent maybe they could help so off they went once they got there they begged for the two to make them a child although they knew how to the scientist had to explain how it worked after explaining the two pirates said they want a child that can have a baby through any way(how tf does that work idk magic?) anyway the two get to work taking hair samples and puts them in a machine that creates kids(again idk magic?) then its turned on and a baby comes out mostly orange tabby with little hints of tuxedo and calico a heart nose and freckles like their mother's however the little kitten had a blind eye his right eye they named him kwazii and took care of him greatly until.....the war of colliding with other pirates calico jack had to watch in horror as his son and daughter-in-law were killed right in front of his eyes until kwazii was shoved into his arms by another crew member telling him to take kwazii and run and so he did he couldn't help but put the blame on himself the next day Vincent and Steven opened the door to kwazii with a note that read "going far away, Zach and Martha dead, i blame myself goodbye -calico jack" this was the first time Vincent has seen Steven cry but still they took kwazii in and took care of him years pass kwazii only speaks in Japanese going out on their own until they tumbling off a hill and landing in a crate that gets brought aboard the octopod thus bringing them a new adventure

Re :
Thinking about that Lycaon I being half-lizard who mysteriously dies so Willy’s human descendants take the throne AU -
It would be dramatic because while Seiros the Warrior and pals focused on the people who had relics and all, the Mole People already “infiltrated” Adrestia that early -
And instead of having deep Earl Grey, let the mole people play on preexisting biases and dark thoughts, thus Lycaon wouldn’t be killed by mole people, but by his “siblings/nephews” who really wanted that throne -
Why?
Because meritocracy gone wrong!
Willy said people with best interests at heart should rule/become nobles, and let’s say Lycaon, by virtue of having been raised by his mom and what's left of his maternal fam, has them.
What about the other “humans” who also have those best interests at heart, and really want to help the people? Why shouldn’t they inherit the Adrestian throne?
Comes the Meritocracy angle, and by virtue of being a Nabatean, Lycaon I is the better fighter (compared to his siblings/nephews).
Lycaon I would be the perfect king/emperor candidate, popular, talented, wise beyond his years (that’s the catch, he isn’t a regular teen, he is older) -> he has the most merit, so what is supposed to happen to the “human” Hresvelgs?
They will always feel inferior to their “brother/uncle”, and never be a match for him - worse, they will never sit on Enbarr’s throne.
Coupled with maybe Solon suggesting that of course Lycaon would think of them as inferior and lesser beings, because he might be their brother/uncle, he is first and foremost not a human, a descendant of a beast who inherently feels superior to them. Why would he even bother with his “inferior relatives”?
(Something like the Hresvelgs being on the verge of falling down a cliff, and finally falling with a push from a mole man)
Lycaon is thus killed by his siblings (or their descendants) and Willy, who heavily suspects the “jealousy” reason - if he was an Enbarr Lord, maybe he knew all about those political assassinations or something - gives up, he’s just here to see the next Emperor and maybe crown her, but then he fucks away.
If he partly (?) fought against Nemesis because he thought Nemesis was the reason why Nabateans and Humans cannot coexist peacefully, then he is slapped in the face as he sees his own blood killing itself for petty reasons and just, jealousy.
What would that mean for Rhea though...
Maybe Lycaon’s death would be the turning point where she thinks only Sothis can guide the land, and ultimately launch her on her “rez sothis plan” because Nabateans can’t guide the land (it lead to the first agarthan war), humans obviously can’t (remember Nemesis?) and “Human and Nabateans” together failed, since Lycaon was assassinated, so it only leaves Sothis. Maybe Wilhelm also came to the same conclusion, and he passed away while they were building Garreg Mach, furthering Rhea’s determination to resurrect Sothis and have her “repair” the world.
Even if, in that case, I don’t think Wilhelm would tell Rhea everything, maybe just something like “Lycaon was killed” and not who killed him, and why. Rhea drew her own conclusions (humans because he was half-nabatean) which weren’t wrong, per se, but not as petty as "third niece thrice removed Martha had him killed because she wanted to sit on the throne".
As for Adrestia, meanwhile, it would explain why an Aegir thought he could become Emperor of Adrestia by challenging the current one to a duel - even if the Hresvelgs are supposed to be Emperors because they descend from both Willy and Seiros the Warrior - if that Aegir knew the current Emperor became, well, Emperor after getting rid of Lycaon, and, in a way, usurping the title, it's free real estate to run for the title.
Tldr : someone should have smashed Willy's nuts to save Fodlan.

1899 Episode 4
Not so many thoughts after this one, except:
1. Jerome/Lucien’s backstory! I no longer feel bad for Lucien. The seizures are just karma imo. His negative reaction to Jerome in the present is what made me feel this way, cause I get him wanting to escape war. It just shows that he feels no remorse for what he did to Jerome though. And I admire Jerome’s character. His lines about leaving power in the wrong hands is so true.
2. Krester… My heart broke for him. I didn’t except to connect so much to his character but my God, I love me some angst. In any case, my understanding of his story after this episode is that his family does know he’s gay. His mother’s reaction made it clear (I think that’s probably also why he dissociated during the sex scene; his sister’s words triggered the homophobic agenda).
Speaking of which, that hoe has got to go. I hope she gets offed soon so that multiple people can finally find peace. What kind of monster tells their child they wish they died instead of someone else, even if that person was also their child? I hate religious people like her who act all high and mighty. She literally went and “killed” a little boy with her nonsense. Like I get grieving but she’s clearly cruel all the time based on how her family acts around her.
Anyways, I don’t blame Krester for feeling like he has to adhere to his mom’s BS to win her love, especially after losing his sister. I do hope he’s able to accept himself and join the others though.
As for Tove, I’m getting the sense she was raped? That would explain her interaction with Krester in this episode and what her dad was saying. Also her skepticism when it comes to religion.
I hope we get a full backstory on the two of them. I don’t think there’s enough time left in this season to cover everyone, but my hope is that they planned for everyone’s backstory to be explored by the end of the show. My current theory on the source of Krester’s scar is that it was a homophobic incident, maybe courtesy of his own mother.
3. Those two dudes in the boiler room are hilarious. They remind me of those two British soldiers in Pirates of the Caribbean haha. That superstitious one had some good points about believing in the existence of things we haven’t seen for ourselves though.
4. Okay, maybe Daniel isn’t Maura’s brother but her husband/lover…? I completely overlooked the lack of physical similarity between them haha. His touch also lingered when he was talking to her at the end and he seemed jealous of Eyk.
As for the boy…could he be their child? The way he appeared and hugged Maura, right after Eyk reveals to her that she was apparently aboard the Prometheus is hella sus timing. It reminded me of the Unknown hugging Martha in Dark.
5. And that brings me to the boy’s epic “hello there” reappearance after his supposed death. Him appearing in that cabinet paralleled how they first found him too. I can’t wait to find out all the details. And also, I hope those dumbasses who thought killing a scapegoat would magically solve everything are scared shitless when they see he’s still alive 😂.
P.S. Just wanted to add that I love the way they lace the characters’ backstories into present day happenings. Like when the flashback merges with something that’s happening to them in the present.

One thing that truly breaks my heart is that in School Reunion (S2E3 of New Who) the Doctor promised Rose that he wouldn’t leave without saying goodbye and he would talk about her after she left. And yeah he burns a sun to say goodbye to her, and he tells Donna and Martha briefly about her (it sounds like he told Martha stories about her maybe, but Donna only got a name and that she was gone on her first episode with the doctor in season 2), which was only 2 companions out, not even a regeneration in there, plus he meets her again but he never talked about her again. None of the other companions ever know about Rose Tyler, the girl who gave a Dalek emotions, the girl who took the tardis into head, the girl who hung above London during an air-raid, the girl who saved the doctor after the time-war.
It just breaks my heart that it’s never shown that anyone after 10 knows about Rose, almost like the memories of her died with 10. (Even going as far as 13 making a face when Rose is mentioned, last episode of season12)

Superman Flyby
I've read a lot of scrapped drafts of movies but I can't say that I've liked a lot of them, Resident Evil, Spider-Man, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales- So when I saw a video performing one as an audio drama, I figured I'd try it out that way.
This one has narration? I didn't like that, it's not in the script, it's just adapted that way to explain what's going on so I quit that and just moved over to the script, so much for that idea. This is only the second draft which for some reason in Hollywood, there needs to be draft after draft (that's not how I write, I just edit but whatever) so I don't know how 'finished' or how planned this was to go to screen, they had a cool costume for it already though (but they also had one for Superman Lives and that had script after script)
Firstly, Lex finds a crashed shuttle of one of the Kryptonian war people (not Zod or anyone else we know but one of Kata-Zor's men, Jor-El's brother). And the guy puts him in a chokehold, passing on his memories and understanding before dying, basically passing on his task to Luthor, to find Kal-El.
Then JJ, uh- has the Kent's landlord make advances toward Martha and then young Clark has to fight him off? After that we cut back to Krypton...yes, Krypton. In this draft, it's not the explosion that's making them send him away, it's the invasion/war and Lara is on the run. I didn't mention that Kata-Zor has a son...Ty-Zor and he's about Clark's age. With the minion dying earlier, he never made contact and told them where Kal-El was so they're still looking.
I'm gonna take a break and give you what I think should happen from here forth, it's not what I expect but it's constructive criticism since it's so...divisive. Instead of making it a Zod or Zor-El, at the end, I want to see them injured and replace parts to become Brainiac, a fake-out and potential overall villain that embodies all of Superman's greatest foes. It's just stupid enough to work! But I think Clark's overall mission should be to find an actual resolve on Earth to save Krypton or become strong enough with the yellow sun to take down the Zors.
Ok, back to the actual script. Clark has a roommate named Jerry Shuster which I don't even need to explain that reference. Yeah, Lana was there earlier and Clark introduced himself but that's it, he's older, never to be seen again. Lois is introduced as the freshman in his college...Clark's a senior *gulp*. Other than that, I kind of like the disposition, though different, seeing Lois firstly in this sort of awkward situation rather than the way we're used to, none of the dialogue has stood out to me though, they mention that she's just as much alien as he is but that's literally her second paragraph, SHOW ME.
Clark, has a moment where someone's making advances towards Lois and he stands up but the guy keeps pushing him. With his mom, he pushed him back but with Lois, Lois pushes him back defending Clark, I don't like the situation but like I said, I like the disposition. Aaaannnnddd we're right back at the Planet where Lois is her usual self. Why did Clark end up there though? Because he thought he'd meet Lois there again after she said that's what she wanted to do.
Luthor's running for Prez. In a way, being in a position of power or even with Law Enforcement, it'd make it easier to find Kal-El. But he shows off...Luthanium, a battery chip, made of what, hmmmm, NOPE. But Lois makes a scene and now Luthor puts a hit on her. What's strange though is that JJ has this obsession with Clark's fly being down, thinking it's funny, maybe in the movie it would've been but here, it's ironic because it's called FLYby, I wonder if that's where the title came from.
Anyways, I skimmed the rest, it wasn't holding my attention. Superman dies but Jor-El brings him back saying he's apart of the prophecy about two princes? too many things going on. There are some highlights like Lois riding a motorcycle after knocking out Lex and Superman fighting a robot but it's all context issues, those are basic ideas but the way they're presented is eh.
They did end up going with one idea I had about saving Krypton. They give him these 5 pieces which create a portal to his world but that's the literal end of the script, just as he jumps in.
And the casting they were getting...oh boy. Scarlett Johansson or Selma Blair as Lois? Ok. RDJ as Lex? Can't see it. Brendan Fraser, Henry Cavill, Josh Hartnett? Mmn. Shia LaBeouf as Jimmy...actually-that kind of makes sense for the time period.
'If you don't know what story you want then why are you telling it?' Is my mindset but then-
“The thing that I tried to emphasize in the story was that if the Kents found this boy, Kal-El, who had the power that he did, he would have most likely killed them both in short order. And the idea that these parents would see – if they were lucky to survive long enough – that they had to immediately begin teaching this kid to limit himself and to not be so fast, not be so strong, not be so powerful. The result of that, psychologically, would be fear of oneself, self-doubt and being ashamed of what you were capable of. Extrapolating that to adulthood became a fascinating psychological profile of someone who was not pretending to be Clark Kent, but who was Clark Kent. Who had become that kind of a character who is not able or willing to accept who he was and what his destiny was.
“The idea in the movie was that he became Superman because he realized he had to finally own his strength and what he’d always been."
He has an abstract version of it thought out so how did he draw his conclusion? Do I look like a mind reader sir, I don't know
Tumblr media
At least we don't have to worry about it-
Tumblr media
Wow. I mean, I guess he learned and has someone writing it for him now, he wanted to direct Flyby but they were more keen on him writing it. Ta-Nehisi Coates actually worked on Black Panther comics so that's cool? But at the same time, this has been in development from what I understand as a long time, at least I remember hearing about a black Clark Kent pretty far back, like it doesn't seem like it was just 2021, I remember it being rumored before then but maybe I'm wrong? And yeah, this is apparently a black Clark, not Calvin which upset everybody but as with Tron, people don't listen to feedback unless it's Sonic.
But it's still worrying that the direction is going anywhere because of when I read that James Gunn hasn't even been handed a script yet, I was kind of paused. Is it even done? Like- it just seems like someone who says they have a really cool project but refuse to show it (oh poop, is that me? (but in my case, I actually have a lot finished, it just needs made (someone help)))

Hellsite Nostalgia Tour 2023 Day 133
Vampires of Venice/The Man Who Would Be King
I’m switching the order today because the spn episode is so much more to me than the dw one
“Vampires of Venice”
Plot Description: desiccated corpses, terror in the canal, and the sinister House of Calvierri! The Doctor takes Amy and Rory on a short romantic holiday, but 16th century Venice is not as it should be
This is actually the first five minutes of a Supernatural episode. I HAVE BEEN TRICKED
Oh!! Oh, Roryyyyy. You can’t help but feel bad for him when you know Amy’s currently trying to seduce the Doctor and he’s saying it’s a crime that he hasn’t told her he loves her in seven hours…
How did that sound at ALL fine in your head, Doctor??
No no. You don’t deserve an “it’s bigger on the inside” from Rory. Not after he was made out to be a fool by his employer during Prisoner Zero incident, and not after you crashed his stag party to tell him AND EVERYONE ELSE THERE that Amy tried to kiss you AND that she’s a good kisser. He doesn’t have to give you that (I did not know/remember that I had this many strong feelings about Rory). He gets to say that it’s like another dimension
See. Even THAT. The Doctor gets to be someone high up in the church, Amy’s a viscountess, and Rory’s their eunuch…why do they treat him so horribly when this is supposed to be the Doctor’s WEDDING PRESENT???
You know…being one of the Calvierri Girls seems at least KIND OF glamorous
I would be so resentful too, Rory. Don’t worry
I like the vampire test they use here more than on spn (though I know it’s not REAL vampires)
I know this is everything that the show is about, and y’all have been on several trips before, but maaaaaaaan give Rory adjustment time. He’s dealing with a LOT right now
Godddddd…I wanna sneak around a castle at night by nothing but candlelight in a long white dress (can’t tell if it’s a dress or nightgown. It does look too structured for the latter)
Imagine if Rory and Martha could have a chat. Like…I know Martha’s come to terms and worked through all her stuff with the Doctor but Rory could use having someone like her around. Or Donna maybe, but the “you make people a danger to themselves because they want to impress you” line is hitting hard
The still not great cgi is still not great cgi-ing. But unlike most not great cgi, it’s still endearing
This poor gondolier just wanted to see his daughter again. He thought he was giving her a better life, and when she saved the TARDIS trio, she doomed herself
From a “I need to make the survival of my people my priority” standpoint, I get it, but turning human girls into “suitable wives” for your fish sons is not the move. Also sinking Venice. Doing that isn’t the move either
Did the Doctor call their fish alien form foxy? Has he seen The Shape of Water? I think he might enjoy it
THE CRUCIFIX THING WONT WORK. THEYRE NOT ACTUALLY VAMPIRES. YOU KNOW THIS. Apparently “your mom” jokes work though
I just don’t understand why they thought they had to sink Venice for the species to survive. Did they not know that this planet is like 70% water?? You could have gone anywhere…sorry about a few human girls getting turned to keep the species going
“The Man Who Would Be King”
Plot Description: Cas tells Sam, Dean, and Bobby about the war in heaven and how he and Raphael became enemies
Would I Survive the First Five Minutes??: besties, imma be honest. I don’t know if I’m gonna survive just WATCHING this episode. No one died in the first five minutes, just my soul
I truly don’t know if I’m going to have more or fewer thoughts (other than screaming in agony) while watching this
He has such an intense desire to do what is right and good, but he’s also spent MILLENNIA just being TOLD what is right and good, and now he has to decide for himself and it’s terrifying (so. For anyone reading who doesn’t know, this episode is told from Cas’s point of view and he has many a monologue. Basically every time I just say “he” and don’t have a different name preceding it, it’s probably safe to assume I’m talking about Castiel)
Dean wants to believe this so badly…
I just…I really don’t know how the boys think they can really help the heavenly civil war effort. You can say you want to help all you want but…every time he tells you about it, you brush it off as unimportant (I AM a cas apologist through and through)
Don’t mind me. I just…when the someone CALLS an actual angel “angel” but in any level of derogatory way? As in “the stench of that Impala is all over your overcoat, angel.” It’s a little hot. Cas and Crowley bickering. Crowley saying “I thought we agreed, no more nights out with the boys.” The illicit nature of their partnership is JUICY AF
Babyyyy it’s a miracle you were able to get ANY of Sam out. Sure, Dean was in hell, but Sam was in the Cage!!
On one hand, maybe Sam walking away from seeing Dean with Lisa and Ben should have been a warning that things were off, but…it’s literally what Sam said he wanted for Dean post-getting-in-the-Cage
If there’s one thing about Crowley (there are many things about Crowley), he at least can see the entire chess board. He knows that more powerful pieces than him have been taken out by the Winchesters
(I’m gonna have to watch this twice, once for thoughts and once just to cry)
THE BETRAYAL AND LYING FROM BOTH SIDES OF THISSSS. THEY’RE lying to Cas about hunting down Crowley and how close they’re getting, just playing it like everything’s normal. CAS is lying to them about working with Crowley, and now spying on them having a conversation about how they don’t trust him, no matter how much they want to. And DEAN. Oh Dean is resisting and getting very defensive. It IS tragic
And even though all of this betrayal, he’s still trying to protect the boys. I mean, yeah, not letting them get to Crowley also protects himself but…I did say I was an apologist, right?
I can’t even imagine what it would be like to rip up the universe’s script, to choose freedom and free will, and then to come back home and have everyone expect you to start handing out orders.
“If I knew then what I know now, I might have said ‘it’s simple. Freedom is a length of rope. God wants you to hang yourself with it,’” IS too raw of a line to come from the CW’s Supernatural. And yet…
Raphael’s voice though………it makes me get a little hair twirly. Sure he’s threatening babygirl and telling him to pledge allegiance to him and then get the apocalypse going again, but damn
But the line “for a brief moment, I was me again” always hits me like a sack of bricks. He’s just revealed that he’s actually there after not doing so when the boys originally called and saved their asses from some of Crowley’s best demons. And for that time, he was the Cas they all knew and trusted and were friends with, who was part of Team Free Will with them. And like….damn if that isn’t everyone who has had to hide a part of themselves (sure, you’re probably not hiding working with the king of hell while you’re fighting a war over control of heaven) but gets that one scrap of validation from those who’ve mattered to you even though it’s all wrong. And for a moment, that validation feels better than anything, but you’re gonna hate it later because it’s not true
Fuck. The hurt on Dean’s face once he realizes all his faith and loyalty, all the times he defended Castiel to Sam and Bobby…and Cas was lying the whole time
“You don’t think I know what this is about? The big lie. The Winchesters still buy it. The good Cas. The righteous Cas. As long as they still believe it, you get to believe it” also punches me in the gut.
Cas threatening to tear down his entire arrangement with Crowley if any harm comes to the Winchesters thoooooooough “I’m still and angel, and I will bury you”
Castiel watching Dean rake leaves and deciding against asking him to sacrifice more after he’d already done so much. 😭😭😭😭
Honestly, Crowley’s version of hell IS effective. It’s just one long line you have to wait in, and the moment you get to the front, you find yourself all the way at the back again. THAT’s torture
Crowley really knows how to stroke egos…Cas went from being disgusted by being asked to basically be the next Lucifer to agreeing to this arrangement in one 5 minute conversation. And all he had to do was hit on a few topics: Cas not wanting to reverse everything Team Free Will worked so hard for, saying god chose Castiel for this (which really isn’t helped by the fact that he was inexplicably brought back and then a whole bunch of angels looking to him to lead, too).
The next scene where they trap Cas in the ring of fire is so tense but then Dean breaks it (at least from an audience perspective) by saying “you know who spies on people, Cas? Spies.” Boy, bye.
Bestie, like you weren’t working FOR Crowley just earlier this season. Oh? You had reasons? You think Castiel doesn’t??
Babes, that’s all you do, make deals with devils. Don’t lie, Dean. Literally why is it only a problem when Castiel does it??
BUT LITERALLY WHAT WOULD THEY HAVE DONE TO HELP??? I know I know Crowley said to not underestimate the Winchesters, that that was a mistake Lucifer, Michael, Lilith, and Azazel made, but so many of those were when the boys were extra special. They’re not meant to be vessels for two extremely powerful angels now.
And even in this moment when it all unravels and no one trusts him and he can’t move more than two feet in any direction, he still tells them to run to save them
That scene’s so heartbreaking. Cas and Dean standing in front of an (incorrectly) angel-proofed window at Bobby’s having to come to terms with their irreconcilable differences, wishing the other would just listen
The number of times he’s called himself a fallen angel and yet ends this episode crying and pleading his father to just give one sign that he’s doing the right thing. Just one word would either give him the courage to do what he needs to do or back down from what he’s doing. And he gets nothing.
“Been On My Mind…”: none. Also…I went back and I skipped 5 in the countdown? So we’re gonna hold steady at 2
(Now I’m gonna watch it again for funsies)

The Doctor
Isn't it funny how you don't really find out much about a person until you're both standing still?
Since I met the Doctor it's been all go. We really haven't stopped moving but today we got stuck in traffic. Of course, it was space-age traffic millions of years into the future. And unlike normal traffic jams it was all a bit freaky – brilliant and terrifying. It was so scary, in fact, that afterwards I briefly thought about asking the Doctor to take me home. It was the darkest thing I've been through since I thought we were all going to suffocate in the hospital and in some ways this was even worse because nobody would have known where I was. I was totally alone.
But it was also – I'm trying to think of a better word than beautiful but that's exactly what it was. Think about the first time you went into a church and multiply it by a thousand and you might be halfway there. There were all these people who were trapped in like the grimmest situation possible but they weren't letting it get them down. They had such real hope and faith. I've honestly never seen anything like it. And even though they were all trapped and alone like me, somehow they were like reaching out to each other and refusing to be alone. They just wouldn't give up. And yeah I know this all sounds a bit joss stick-y but it was the most amazing thing I think I've ever felt.
And it made me wonder just who this bloke is. So I asked him and I found out why he's alone. Nearly everyone he knew died in a big war. He's the last of his race is how he says it, but that's just a bit glib - I'm trying to imagine losing my family, my friends, everyone you've ever seen on telly. Them all just being gone. I don't think I could cope.
And to top it all, today he saw one of his oldest friends die. This alien thing called the Face of Boe (and to think when I was growing up, I complained about being called Martha) just died after waiting years to say goodbye to the Doctor. And it was so sad but kind of beautiful and it made me wonder just how many people the Doctor's lost in his life.
And I know I've complained about how noisy my life can be but his... well, I can see why he lives the life he does. He's filling it with noise because I think he'd go mad if he didn't. Thing is, if I hadn't got him to tell me about who he really is, I maybe would have asked to go home but I can't now. I mean, I've been seeing all this as just the biggest most exciting thing in my life but it isn't just that. He needs me. Yeah, he reckons he prefers to be alone but I know he needs me. Of course, he might be a Time Lord with two hearts but he's still basically a bloke so he can't say it. And he'd get all embarrassed if I said anything so I reckon what I've got to do is make it seem like it's his idea. I've got to make him ask me to stay. Because I don't think he'd cope on his own. And because behind all the madness, he's basically a real decent bloke.
Oh, and in case you're reaching for the sick bags because you think I've gone all deep and emotional and stuff, today I also met a talking cat – a cat who was a nun! Which was fun. So there!
