i keep thinking about a post-royal spinoff where you play as akechi cleaning up the remnants of shido's conspiracy while the main gang is on their P5S roadtrip. except instead of changing their hearts, akechi just beats the shit out of their shadows and intimidates them into submission so hard that it bleeds into their conscious awareness

Ferrari is Charles’ dream as much as winning a WDC.
He was “searching for the red car” before he understood what it would take to get a seat. He’s worked his entire life to drive for them.
His fierce loyalty (no matter how misplaced it sometimes feels from the outside) is one of his strongest traits, it drives him to be better and try harder.
Maybe it’s naive and sentimental but he doesn’t want to win with anyone else. Charles will retire in red if he has it his way, and he’s not going to regret it. He’s going to give it his all and leave nothing on the table.
If he ends his career without a championship he’s going to know it wasn’t for a want of trying and that might just be enough.

Obey me human au where the demon brothers run a really shitty summer camp in the middle of the woods and they are all camp counselors. I know this sounds cringe but i need someone to see the vision. Every summer is like a cheesy horror film with wacky hijinks and shenanigans and also people are always going missing and theres bones buried in the lake and a blood crusted chainsaw in the shed but also camp counselors satan and asmo are teaching everyone how to make friendship bracelets today!

sometime i forgot that MC have the snag machine
Like, i'm still aware that we can catch shadow pokemon but like, my brain just registered that it's part of our ability instead that "oh, we have a machine attached on our arm".

I think some of the arguments about fan interpretations of characters and OOCness forget a fundamental part of human nature which is this: each of us perceives the world and the people in it in slightly different ways based on our own experiences.
Most people have certain characteristics they consider fundamental to their Blorbo and some characteristics that are less important and could be changed, ignored, or scrapped for AU purposes. Unfortunately, which specific characteristics fall into which category are not going to be the same from person to person. Sometimes the overlap between two people's interpretations will be huge, and those two people will probably enjoy the same fan content. Sometimes not so much.
Personally, I write for a ship that were childhood friends that became lovers. In many AUs, people have them meeting for the first time in adulthood, and for me, that changes the nature of the ship and their characters so much that I can't really get into it. I consider their childhood friendship fundamental to them as people, and those authors don't. Which is fine. Many other people like those AUs. Nobody here is really in the wrong, we just have different opinions on what makes these particular Blorbos them.
In almost all cases, someone out there will find your interpretation of a character OOC. And that's fine. Hopefully they are polite and simply choose not to read your fics/engage with your HCs/whatever. But I think all of us have had the experience of reading a wildly OOC take and seeing other people enthusiastically going along with this "wrong" interpretation of the characters and thinking, "What??!?!"
It's fine. It's normal. It's annoying as hell (people are wrong on the internet), but it's inevitable. And if you find that interpretation particularly heinous to your Blorbo sensibilities, the block button is your friend.

seen a few posts about the use of chatgpt or whatever on here recently and I get the people saying that they would like their doctors and all to actually be qualified and not cheat on their assignments but like....how many technical jobs (is that the right word?) even have assignments that one can cheat on? Seems a kinda futile fight tbf it's mostly just humanities students that get assignments that are 'cheat-able'
