phone call ⟡ p.sh
syn being on call with your ex-boyfriend wasn't the best move — but it also wasn't the worst...
wc 861 && trope second chance romance(?) mlist
note 🗒️ ; Hi. Ending is opened ended so Please don't Sob and yell at me in the Comments 🤗🤗 the end was kinda rushed so idk but anyway this was also inspired by a thriller book that i'm reading and i found this small scene pretty cute :p
"Sunghoon, I miss you"
The words flew out of your mouth before you could stop yourself. You didn't mean to say it — you didn't even realize you were thinking about it. "Sorry — that's the wine talking," you explain quickly. You pray he doesn't hang up.
He's quiet for a moment. Good job y/n — you thought — you just stated you missed your ex to your ex, stupid.
"Well, now it's the Sunghoon talking," he says with a chuckle.
You feel your heart do a flip. You missed this, too — his dumb, foolish jokes. You believed it was one of his best charms. You remember him telling you that eating miso soup made him "miso happy." "That's horrible," You'd say giggling.
"Oh please, you love it," He'd reply, and you did.
The phone is quiet again.
Until finally: "So what do you miss about me?"
You wished he just hung up. Or never picked up the phone call from you. "I miss..." You begin, hoping that the sentence will continue itself. Everything you want to say, but you don't.
You think about it for a moment, being careful of what you say to your ex on the phone. "I miss your bushy eyebrows," you say, like an idiot.
You find yourself staring at the ceiling of your bedroom, thinking. "I miss the smell of your cologne. I miss you complaining about how I always steal your hoodies. I miss your touch. I miss how polite you are to people. I miss having late-night talks with you before going to sleep together."
You laid yourself down on the bed, the bed that you both used to share. "I miss our light hearted bickering." The first "argument" you both got into was over pancakes and waffles — you thought waffles were better than pancakes and he thought the opposite. It was stupid — stupidly funny. You remember the look on his face when you said your claim, his eyebrows furrowed and jaw dropped.
"I miss teaching you english and your cute accent when you say things. I miss how you pronounced "ate" as "ete." You hear his chuckle through the phone and you laugh, too. You find yourself crying. "I miss your stupid, stupid dad jokes. I miss calling you handsome and you'd respond with an 'I know' with a stupid fucking grin."
"Language."
"Sorry." You sniff.
"Are you-are you crying?"
"No, shut up."
You pause.
"I miss you so much."
Another pause.
"I love you so much." You let out a shaky breath. You didn't care at this point, you just miss him. You miss him, You love him.
There's a silence, a long one. You breath in.
"I'm not good for you, y/n," the playful banter that was in the room two minutes ago left the atmosphere.
"I'm- I wish I was, and if I were I would've stayed. I would've stayed with you. But I'm not."
"Yes you are. You are good for me. I still want you Hoon, I don't care if you're bad for me. I- I just want you."
His breath hitched. You hear him let out a soft "fuck" before breaking the silence.
"Sorry," You mumbled. Sunghoon clears his throat before replying.
"No- I mean uh...Don't be sorry. It's fine, it's just-um,"
"It's just...just what?"
"I miss- fuck- I miss you too, y/n. I miss you a lot," he continues. You can tell by his words that he's nervous. After all, you did date him for 4 years.
A third pause, lasting longer than the two previous ones in this call. You wonder if this phone call was a bad idea. A drunken mistake. You want to bury yourself.
You hear him let out a sigh. "I'm sorry a broke your heart. I'm- well I was- I was being stupid."
"You should be sorry, you bastard," you say jokingly. You hope he laughs. He does, and you feel yourself smile.
"Y/n," he says. You hum in response.
"Do you maybe...um...perhaps start over?" Oh. Oh. You weren't expecting that. "Are you fucking serious, Park?" You ask in disbelief.
"Yes. Also, language." You giggle at this response.
"Right. Sorry." You let out another giggle. To which you assume it's the wine taking more effect on you. How much did you drink again?
"I can give you some time to think about it, if you'd like to think about it,"
"Sure...I mean it's not like I just cried to you on call and told you how much I missed you." He chuckles at this.
"You aren't wrong, but I assumed it was the wine."
"Maybe. Maybe not." You press your lips together before saying something.
"I will think about it, Hoon. And I'll tell you my answer when I make up my mind. Ok?"
"Yeah. That's-that's fine with me. I'm...I'm gonna hang up now. Goodnight, Y/n."
"Okay Hoon. Goodnight to you too."
"I love you too, if you were wondering. I never stopped and never will. Even if I wanted to."
You feel yourself blush. He ends the call and you hear the beeps from your phone. You let out a sigh and feel your eyes close on you.

" have you eaten today ? "
pairing : boo seungkwan x gn!reader
"13 ways to say "i love you" with seventeen"
warnings : mentions of food , language (seungkwan calls the reader "dumbass" lovingly)
word count : 0.6 k
a/n : words cannot describe the love i have for boo seungkwan , if my future partner isn't boo seungkwan himself i don't WANT them .
You'd like to think after two years, you've grown used to Seungkwan's disapproving glare. But jeez, if he isn't laying it on thick tonight. You're pretty sure he's actually burned two dime-sized holes through your laptop with the way he glowering from his spot across from you.
"Boo..." You draw out his name in a warning, not bothering to look up or cease typing. "You're gonna strain your corneas if you don't quit it."
"Your fingers are gonna fall off if you don't quit it." He mocks.
You spare a full three seconds to look up from your computer just to shoot him a look that says really? Now you're just being immature.
"I told you when you insisted on coming over I wouldn't be able to entertain you. This project is due in two days and I need to focus." You huff out.
It's true, you literally told him three times over on the phone he was welcome at your place, but that he'd have to be quiet and let you work. Which, in hindsight, you really should have known better considering it's Seungkwan, but you felt bad having already blown off your boyfriend three times this week due to this project. And judging from his tone when he called, he was two seconds from marching over and kicking down your door anyway.
Seungkwan clicks his tongue. "This isn't about being entertained—" you highly doubt that "—it's about you being a dumbass and overworking yourself."
You roll your eyes, but that only seems to fuel his persistence. "It's been hours since I got here and you've yet to take a break."
"I will in a bit, just let me finish this."
Seungkwan doesn't get the chance to retort. The doorbell rings with what you assume is the take-out he called in for himself a little over thirty minutes ago. You'd originally told him you didn't want anything, shooing him to quiet down when he tried to ask. But now, you're starting to regret that. Especially when the smell of his food wafts into the room moments after the door shuts.
He sits back down across from you, opening the containers and making quick work of digging in. The scent of it hits your nose tenfold, and at that, your stomach growls. Loud enough for Seungkwan's head to pop up and his eyes to narrow. Traitor, you curse at your stomach.
Seungkwan tilts his head and you're too scared to meet his gaze for fear of being scolded.
"Have you eaten today?" He asks, with a soft tone and unexpected seriousness. You just shrug, not wanting to let go of your pride.
"I'm fine."
He scoffs and immediately starts using the container's lid to dish out a heaping portion. All the while muttering to himself about you being difficult and how you're going to give him at least twelve new grey hairs.
"Here, take half." He shoves the lid, which definitely has more than half piled onto it, towards you.
When you just blankly stare at it, he sighs and picks up a piece with his chopsticks. He extends his arm as far as it can go until the item, drenched in a sweet-smelling sauce, is centimeters from your lips. "Eat." He instructs. So you do, admitting defeat by finally pushing your computer to the side and exchanging it for the plate Seungkwan fixed you.
"I swear, what would you do without me." He teases, beaming with pride.

☆ Blow The Whistle ☆
☆ Lifeguard! Felix x fem! reader (18+)
☆ Summary: The summer heat has you desperate to cool off in an unconventional way...
☆ Warnings: smut, one night day stand, semi public sex, not proofread, MDNI
☆ Word count: 2.3 k
Australian summers are brutal. That’s why you and your closest friends have found refuge at the water park for the day. There’s a slight breeze once in a while which makes the heat bearable without being submerged in water constantly. You’ve set up camp on a few beach chairs with tote bags filled with snacks, towels, and ample amounts of sunscreen. You look like the textbook example of relaxation; oversize cat-eye sunglasses, a cute cover-up draped over your shoulders and laying back on the chair.
What broke your relaxation was the shrill shriek of a whistle from a lifeguard. You move your sunglasses down the bridge of your nose to peer at the cause of the loud interruption. He blows into the whistle again. Why can’t some kids just follow the rules?
To your surprise, at the other side of the pool, was one of the cutest lifeguards you’ve had the pleasure of seeing. His eyes were obstructed by reflective sunglasses, but they were framed by freckles that blessed his tanned honey skin. Bleach-blonde, sun-kissed hair that was slightly wavy and fluffed. You got the feeling that if he wasn’t forced to wear a shirt for this job, he’d be topless; the tank top he wore had the sides cut so wide that you could start to see his broad pecs and defined abs. Snug board shorts showcased his toned thighs that were splayed out against the white wooden chair. You didn’t even realize you were staring, eyes glazed over, until he turned towards you and sent a shy wave. You snapped out of it and waved back, which seemed to satisfy him since he smirked and went back to scanning the pool for troublemakers on top of his chair.
A splash of water and a mess of wet hair emerged right at the edge of the pool.
“Y/n, will you join your besties in the pool already?” One of your friends asked, arms folded against the edge of the pool. “There’s this group of cute guys we’re talking to-” She exclaims, pointing behind her.
“They’re all yours, because I,” You gesture to the lifeguard. “Have my sights on him. Also, I need to go refill my water bottle. So don’t mind if I do-” You stand up from your seat.
“Right… water refill… let me know how it goes!” She splashes water at you teasingly before wading back to her group. Was it a coincidence that you had to pass the lifeguard to get to the water fountain? Most likely. Now’s your chance, you thought. As you approached him, he noticed you and turned his head. He tried hiding his grin but failed. “Hey,” you greeted him, leaning an arm against the large wooden chair, painted white. He rested his forearms atop the armrests and had his legs crossed.
“Hey,” he replied, his voice deep and smooth.
He’s only said one word and you’re already addicted. “Great day out, isn’t it?” He asks, and you realise you could listen to him forever.
You huff out a laugh. “Yeah, I suppose.” He perked up at your response.
“Oh? And why do you only suppose?” He inquires.
“Well, in a perfect world, all these kids would follow the rules so you can retire blowing into that annoying whistle.” He laughs at your confession. “In a perfect world, I’d be in the break room eating lunch. Yet here we are.” His accent was like the final straw as his baritone voice left his plump lips. “I’m Felix.” He reaches out a hand.
“I’m y/n.” You shake his hand. He’s gentle yet firm, and slides his hand back to the armrest as if he didn’t want to let go. He clears his voice.
“I- um, I like your outfit. It suits you well, y/n”. He admits bashfully. You blush at his confession. Was he trying to flirt?
“Ah, thanks Felix, if you think so.” You reply.
“I do think so.” He says, in a spur of confidence. You squirm internally. You couldn’t handle much more of this- tension. It’s not every day that he stumbles upon someone like you- someone who he could barely keep his composure around. He was suddenly aware of every fiber in his body, wondering if his hair looked good or if there was sunscreen still smeared on his face.
“Well,” you sigh. “I should probably go. This bottle won’t refill itself.” You shake the empty water bottle in your hand.
“Y/n, wait!” He exclaims, startling you a bit. His cheeks were tinted pink with a blush.
“Um, my break should be in… five minutes. The break room has an ice dispenser, I can let you in? So you don’t have to use the lukewarm fountain water.” He checks the watch on his wrist and he sounds a little nervous at his proposal.
“Oh- um, sure! I’ll wait by my chair, then.” Taken aback, you tried not to sound too excited at the thought of spending time with Felix, alone. Feeling giddy, you shuffle back to your beach chair, which now feels miles away as you feel his eyes trailing after you. Safe to say you counted down every second until Felix’s replacement swapped him out. He does little to stop the grin creeping up on his face as he approaches you, taking his time.
“Shall we?” He proposes, the timbre of his voice delectable. You nod with a smirk. You try your best to gracefully stand from your position, but unfortunately, beach chairs were not designed with that in mind. There was tension in the air between you as he led you through the pathways inbetween pools and slides. The death grip on your water bottle was turning into a cramp in your hand, but there wasn’t much available to soothe your nerves. The only sound was the squeak of flip flops as you walked adjacent to eachother. Felix spoke up suddenly. “It’s right up here.” he gestures. You hum in reply. When you approach the ‘Employees Only’ door, Felix punches in the passcode while you wait behind him. His tank top was slightly billowing against his toned back in the breeze. The door unlocked and Felix grabbed the handle, subsequently holding it open for you.
“Oh! Thanks,” You exclaimed before He graced you with a small smile and a nod. A rush of cool air smacks you in the face as the heavy door closes behind both of you. You turn to see Felix standing behind you, leaning against the closed door, effortlessly charming. His hazelnut eyes were lidded with a glint of desire.
“We have the room all to ourselves, you know.” He says. Your breath hitches at what he seems to be suggesting. So, you step closer. You can see his chest moving with every breath he takes.. You brought your right hand up to grasp at the whistle and cord hanging around his neck. The damned whistle was calling out for you to just tug it so his puffy lips can finally meet yours. His eyes were inviting you closer as they pierced your own. When you were so close you could feel his shallow breath on your lips, he closed the gap. Subsequently, you tugged slightly at the cord which earned you a soft groan. His lips weresoft but not too moist, like he had just applied chapstick. He dragged his body closer to you and placed the palms of his hands gingerly at your hips, partially covered by your swimsuit. He pulls his face away, just barely in order to speak.
“Tell me you want this- or I'll let go and we can forget it happened.” His voice is airy and his stare hasn’t left yours ever since he pulled away. It was electrifying. Granted, you don’t get this opportunity often- or at all. Maybe that was why you found it so thrilling.
“I want this- want you.” Both of your hands moved to the junction between his neck and collarbones. Your eyes communicated a silent plea; one that Felix would never forgive himself for if he ignored. With a smirk, he dove back in. His freckled cheeks grazed your cheekbones with how deep he kissed you. His blonde hair fell forward as he tilted his head. At the same time, his thumbs were making little circles against your hips, gliding over your swimsuit before digging in to hook them underneath and into the supple flesh. You whined against his lips, and counteracted by sliding your hands down his exposed sides. You could feel every ripple of muscle, and his stomach tensed when you pased right at his lower waist. As an excuse to pull yourself even closer, you reached behind Felix and locked the door.
“Come here,” He growled against your lips, and led you to the wide armchair across the small room, with a little table adjacent to it where you set down your water bottle with haste. You grinded against eachother until the fabric felt unbearable. His hands move to your lower back to spin you around, so he can sit against the chair and pull you into his lap, facing eachother. You sat atop his toned thighs, the fabric of the chair adding much needed comfort. He pulled your face back onto his as your tongues intertwined. As he was licking into your mouth with vigor, your hands roamed eachother’s tense bodies. You felt like you were floating when he pulled your cover up off of your shoulders as it fell onto his feet.
“My turn,” You spoke, slowly and sdeuctively. Your hands grabbed at the hem of his tank top to pull it over his head, his whistle hitting his chest. The wide planes of his chest and shoulders glistened in the fluorescent light. You ran your hands down his chest as he loosed a sigh onto your lips. Meanwhile, his hands inched towards the apex of your thighs, still covered by your swimsuit, but no doubt messy with your arousal.
“Hmm, I did this to you, yeah?” The pads of his right hand caress your folds through the fabric. A wanton moan escapes you. You smirk when you look down to see the tent in his shorts, desperately trying to press against you.
“I can say the same for you,” You counter. The palm of your hand ghosts over his hardness before pressing down slowly. He whines impatiently.
“I can unzip these, yeah?” You ask.
“Anything you want, just hurry up.” He squirms under you. You huff at his impatience, and undo his shorts with one hand, shoving his underwear down too. His length is weeping at the tip, swollen and dusty pink. Shuffling as close as you can, Felix pulls the lowest part of your swimsuit to the side with nimble fingers. You shiver as they brush against your folds in the heat of the moment. Grabbing him gently at the base, you align him with your hole, aching with need to quench that empty feeling. He slides against you with ease, the tip catching against your entrance before you sink lower, relieving the muscles in your thighs. His breathing is deep and controlled; His warm brown eyes were full of adoration and eagerness, focused on your lower half. His hands were glued to your hips, periodically squeezing and kneading the flesh.
“So pretty, hah…” He sighs, catching his breath as you reach the hilt. You tilt your head forward to press featherlight kisses to his freckled cheeks before landing on his bottom lip, catching it between your teeth to suck on. His cock throbs with pleasure, overwhelmed yet aching for more. Felix’s hips buck up from their own accord, catching you by surprise, sparks of electricity coursing up your body. His hands helped to guide you up and down his length, coated in slick.
The loud hum of the A/C muffles the mixtures of sounds you’re producing. Every upwards thrust releases a breathy moan as you shiver with pleasure. Your nails scratch against Felix’s shoulders which causes a grunt to topple from his lips, reddened from fervent licks and kisses. Every time your hips hit against his, Felix’s grunts and groans increase in pitch until he’s whining and whimpering with that saccharine low timbre. His sounds add to the build up of your release, as the upwards movements of his thrusts falter as pleasure takes over.
“You’re close, yeah? Please tell me you’re close…” He whines. You gasp as the feeling of your climax climbs higher and higher, you can almost taste it. The head of his cock nudges that sensitive spot against your plush inside, consequently making you clench around him.
“Felix-!” You gasp. “So close, oh my god, Felix! Fuck-”. Your body squirms with delight as Felix wraps his forearms around your lower back, your hands splayed out against his shoulder blades.
“Cumm-ing Y/n-! shit- I’m cumming-” His voice is strained as the final thread snaps. You feel like you’re floating as waves and waves of pleasure fall through you, eyes closed as your chin rests against the firm muscle between Felix’s neck and shoulder. The air is filled with twin gasps for air as you both come back to reality. The palms of his hands make soothing circles against your sides as you slide out with a deep breath, wincing.
“Was that okay?” He asks, switching back to his shy demeanor. You sigh with content.
“That was… definitely more than okay.” That seems to soothe his nerves.
“I definitely need water now…” You say. He spins you around so he’s leaned up against your back.
“Mmh, Sure thing.” He grumbles. He leaves a chaste kiss against the nape of your neck, in hopes that you’ll return his feelings.
“Come to the park again tomorrow, yeah?” You nod in response.
A dense thud against the door has you both jumping out of your skin and scrambling to your feet.
“Oi Felix! You good bro?”

art block is finally leaving me alone at the same time i finish tma, so now we’re here-
this one is partially based on a poem i wrote, which is under the cut along with some of the alternate versions of the painting ^-^
with the sketch as a bg:
just the sketch:
and the full poem:
There was a time when the moth hated the fog. When it kept him from seeing everything he wanted to, the light that he was certain he needed to find, that he was so sure the fog was just getting in the way of. The moth couldn’t say exactly how long ago that was now.
Did you know that moths are a symbol of transformation? Of change? He’d never thought much about it until the sky opened up and swallowed him whole in light, until the world ended and the candle could burn with that white-green spark that let him see everything.
And the fog? At that point the moth didn’t mind it. It cared, was there, and, most importantly, it trailed behind him while they walked. It didn’t blur his vision anymore, it let him see and didn’t get in the way.
The fog knew it loved the moth, tried to help him when it could, tried not to be a burden. It was grateful for all the times the moth had decided to stay with it, even when he shouldn’t have. After all, sight was as important to him as the light that drew him every closer, and the fog didn’t want to cause more problems.
There really was so much weighing down on the tiny, frail, flightless bug. It’s no wonder that when he got his chance to finally, silently, and ever so intentionally (because he knew, as moths all do, that the light is their final knowing), be seen by the blazing, glowing eye of the candle that he’d watched all this time, he took it.
And it was only after the now-singed moth was enveloped by the fog, which had promised, as always, to follow, that he realized. The fog, in its grey and fleeting wisps, was a different sort of light. It cooled the burns and dulled the pain and let the moth at last stop having to watch.
So he could understand that its light was so very much to him, beautiful and real in all the ways that lanterns and candles and lighters and the sun could never be.
And the moth begged the fog to take him completely, to give him the grace of no longer having to see any other lights, to let him stay in its misty embrace. And the fog obliged, and the moth closed his eyes one final time.
Martin obliged, and Jon closed his eyes
one final time.

Eddie x fem!reader
word count: 1,184
cw: none!
There were many things you loved about Eddie. You loved his sense of humor even though no one else seemed to get his jokes. You loved how smart he was and how he always seemed to have interesting facts on hand. You loved how passionate he was about the things he loved and that he had countless books about it all. But the thing that you loved most about Eddie was the fact that he always seemed to read everything aloud.
Whether it was something he had gotten in the mail or a message he had gotten on his beeper, it didn’t matter. It seemed to annoy everyone else, but it was something that you had grown to really like about him. You wanted to hear his voice any chance you got, even if the words directed towards you. Especially when you were falling asleep and he was reading one of his books. It had become your favorite lullaby.
Lately, though, you had noticed that he had been doing it less and less. He would no longer whisper along with the subtitles on the TV or mumble the words that were written in his books. Everything was quiet, his voice no longer filling the house you shared. You hadn’t realized how much you had missed it until he stopped.
The two of you were snuggled up in your bed on a lazy Sunday. You were snuggled up into his side with your leg draped across his waist exactly where he liked it. One hand was resting your bare thigh while the other was holding his very beat up copy of Lord of the Rings.
You rested your chin on his chest, admiring the way he has his hair tied back and the glasses he always wore to read. He hadn’t even noticed you looking at him, his lips moving as his eyes scanned over the words in his book. He had read it so many times that you were convinced that he could have quoted the entire thing word for word.
His eyes finally locked onto yours and he set his book down, now favoring you. His now free hand rested on your back, leisurely rubbing it, something he always did to show his love for you without having to say the words.
“What?” He asked, looking down at you, his brown doe eyes boring into yours.
“Nothing,” you shook your head. “I just love you.”
“I love you too, sweetheart,” he replied, a smile kicking up at the corners of his mouth. “Now are you going to tell me what’s really on your mind?”
Sometimes you hated that he was always able to read you like a book. How he could somehow read your thoughts, knowing exactly what was going on inside your brain before you did. Perhaps that was why you worked so well together. He always knew what you wanted or needed and was prepared to give it to you.
“It’s just-” you cut yourself off, trying to get your thoughts together.
“Hm?” His eyebrows furrowed and his tongue poked through his lips, a telltale sign that he was deep I thought.
“You’re not reading aloud anymore.” A pout made its way onto your face, your lip jutting out. God, you were just so cute.
“I’m not what?” You had said the words so softly that he hadn’t heard the last part. He wanted to know what you were so upset about so he could fix it. He hated seeing you so upset.
“You’re not reading out loud anymore.” You were now straddling his waist, his hands moving to rest on your thighs.
“You’re right,” he nodded. He didn’t think you had even noticed let alone missed him doing it now that he had stopped.
“Why not?” You let out a little whine, your hands resting on his chest. It warmed his heart that you liked hearing his voice so much.
“Well-I guess I just figured that it annoyed you.” He chewed on his bottom lip-something he always did when he got nervous. You were quick to pull it from under his teeth. Your hand rested on his cheek, rubbing along the skin with the pad of your thumb.
“Why would I think that?” You eyebrows furrowed. “I love it.”
“You do?” His hand moved up to rest on top of yours.
“Of course!” You let out a laugh, wondering why he had been so confused that you had enjoyed hearing him reading. “I love hearing your voice.”
“I’m sorry, honey. I was just letting the guys stupid comments get to me. They hate when I do that so I just assumed you did too.” His band mates had complained so many times about him reading their song lyrics aloud and after hearing the complaints so many times, he had just jumped to the conclusion that you had hated his little quirk as well. He supposed he should have asked, but it made him feel too vulnerable despite how long the two of you had been together.
“Well, you were wrong. So you can do it around me as much as you like. In fact, I require it.” At that, Eddie was quick to take you into his arms, peppering your face in kisses as you let out little giggles. He then finally captured your lips between his in a lingering kiss.
“Now read to me, Eds.”
You curled yourself up into his side and he was quick to pick the book up, turning it to the first page so he could start from the beginning. He held the book to where you could see it as well and cleared his throat before he read the first page. One page turned into two and before the two of your knew it, he had flown through the first book and had moved into the next.
You could have stayed right there for the rest of your life and been content. It was just you and your man and his huge stack of books that had been practically begging to be read. You thought Eddie really was meant to read aloud. He put on a different voice for each character and used his hands as he spoke, really enveloping you in every single story he read.
You fell asleep after a few hours, but that didn’t stop Eddie. He continued to read, knowing that if he had stopped, you would have had something to say about it, somehow noticing from your deep sleep. He couldn’t believe that he had actually thought you had hated hearing him read. And that you had loved it so much that you had noticed when he stopped.
He looked down as he started the third book, looking down at you with so much love. He had really lucked out with you. No one had loved him so much that they were content listening to him read when they could have done anything else. At that moment, he just knew that he wanted to marry you and was going to have to take time to go buy a ring.

Lowering yourself down onto your couch, your eyes focused on the show you'd thrown on to watch while you ate, you felt your tired body relax into the cushions. Adjusting the plate of food in your lap, you made yourself comfortable for the evening.
You'd had a meeting at work which had run late with your boss tonight and that was the reason behind you sitting down to eat takeout for dinner at almost seven tonight. You were tired and ready to just relax for the evening, looking forward to the phone call later that you’d come to expect from Matt just before you went to bed. It was usually when he’d return from his night out as Daredevil, giving the three hour time difference between you both at least one positive advantage because it meant that you could go to bed at a reasonable hour and still know he’d gotten back home safe.
You’d be lying if you said it hadn’t been difficult trying to navigate your new relationship with Matt ever since you’d come back from your brief visit to Hell’s Kitchen a month ago, though. The pair of you still talked everyday, whether it was via phone calls or texts periodically throughout the day. Matt had even begun leaving you sweet voicemails some mornings when he first got to work, knowing that shortly afterwards you’d be waking up on the other side of the country getting to hear his voice first thing. It always managed to make you smile starting off your day with one of those messages from him, and you’d quickly come to realize just how incredibly sweet and thoughtful he really was every time he left one. Which unfortunately also made you only miss him just that much more, desperate to be able to wake up beside him and hear him say all those things straight to you instead of over a voice message.
You’d also quickly come to realize that Karen had been right. You’d found yourself regretting not taking the opportunity to be more physically intimate with Matt while you’d been in New York and had the chance. You found yourself frequently thinking about Matt in sexual scenarios more often than not since you’d returned to L.A., which often resulted in you being quite sexually frustrated most of the time. His outright flirting with you over the phone hadn’t helped, either. Sometimes once you’d finished a phone call with him before bed, you’d found yourself needing a few minutes with your vibrator just to ease the ache he’d–sometimes intentionally–created between your legs. And often as you’d gotten off, you’d wondered if he was back in his own apartment in New York taking care of himself, too. And that thought only equally further frustrated you and turned you on more every time.
Without a doubt in your mind, when Matt came to visit you in Los Angeles in a matter of weeks, you were certainly not taking sex off of the table. Especially now that you both were officially a couple and with how many years you’d both been waiting for and wanting the other. Because who knew how soon you’d have another opportunity to see him again afterwards for that chance? You’d certainly spent enough years trying to imagine what it would be like to sleep with him, and you were without a doubt tired of only imagining it.
You also knew you wanted to tell him how you felt when you finally got the chance to see him in a few weeks. Of course the word ‘love’ had been mentioned between you both quite a few months ago when you'd first discovered your feelings had been reciprocated for each other, but neither of you had ever actually said it to the other since. Many times you'd found yourself biting your tongue when you were on the phone with Matt, struggling to not blurt it out to him. Often you found yourself overcome with the urge to tell him those three words at the end of a phone call, or to call him up after hearing one of his morning voicemails just so he knew exactly how you truly felt without a question of a doubt after the years of misunderstandings. But it was something you wanted to say to him in person when the moment felt right, not something you wanted to blurt out when he was too far for you to hold in your arms. Though you were dying to finally say it to his face after all these years, and you were even more anxious to hear him hopefully say it back to you in return.
As you were halfway through eating your sandwich wrap, your attention focused on the mindless show you’d thrown on, you heard your phone begin to loudly ring from across your apartment. Chewing the bite of food you'd just taken, you glanced over your shoulder towards your kitchen where you’d left your phone on the countertop once you’d gotten home. Curiously you eyed the device and its lit screen from a distance, wondering who would be calling you right now. Normally Matt didn’t call for another couple of hours; it should have been far too early for it to have been him. But then the fear that something might be wrong hit you and you quickly swallowed down the bite of food, feeling a little sick to your stomach at the thought. Especially with you being too far away to do anything to help.
Leaning forward, you set your plate down onto your coffee table and rose to your feet. You quickly made your way towards your kitchen, your phone still ringing loudly from its place on the countertop as nerves swirled in your stomach, mixing with your dinner. When you were near enough to your phone to see the name displayed on the screen, you were surprised to see it was in fact Matt calling you. Brows furrowing at the sight of his name, you felt worry and concern further fill you as your hand darted out, picking the phone up in a rush before frantically sliding the button over to answer the call.
“Matt?” you asked, feeling slightly panicked. “Is everything alright? Are you okay? Did something happen?”
“What?” he asked, sounding confused. “Yeah, of course everything is okay, sweetheart. Why would you think something was wrong?”
You sighed in relief, the tension easing from your shoulders as you leaned back against the counter behind you. You didn’t even know what you’d do if he’d called because he was bleeding out in his apartment right now.
“Because it's a bit early for your usual phone call,” you pointed out. “Normally you’re out later than this so you call me later. I just figured something was wrong.”
“Ahh, I see,” he answered. “I’m sorry to have scared you, sweetheart. I didn’t think calling you early would have you thinking something was wrong. But I actually wasn’t planning to go out tonight, which was why I figured I’d call sooner.”
“Not going out as Daredevil?” you questioned curiously. “Because you have too much work to deal with?”
Matt laughed, the sound sweet and soothing as it came through the line. You couldn’t help but relax even more at the sound of it, a smile sliding onto your own face as your racing heart began to slow. You longed to hear him laugh in person again, to be able to actually see the way his eyes lit up when he did.
“If that was the case,” he began, “calling you would be a far bigger distraction than just running out as Daredevil for a bit tonight.”
That usual warmth you felt whenever you spoke to Matt soon flooded you, your body sinking down into one of the nearby breakfast bar stools behind you at your counter. Your dinner and the show you’d been watching were quickly forgotten in the other room as you focused on your conversation and the sound of his voice instead.
“How am I the bigger distraction?” you asked him.
“Well for starters, if there isn’t any crime, there’s no need for Daredevil,” Matt explained. “So if the city is quiet, which it thankfully is tonight, there isn’t much need for me and therefore there’s nothing for me to do. But you on the other hand are always there for me to call. And most importantly, sweetheart,” he continued, his voice dropping to that sultry register he often used to flirt with you over the phone–the one he somehow knew had an effect on you, “I could sit and listen to you on the other line doing literally anything, even just snoring, until the sun came up. Whereas eventually I have to come back home and be Matt Murdock again when I go out in the suit. Therefore you’re the bigger distraction to me.” He paused briefly before adding, “But no, that’s not the reason I'm staying in tonight, either.”
You crossed your legs in your chair, curiously noting the sudden shift in his tone. He almost sounded…sad? Like something was bothering him. You’d certainly known Matt long enough to know when he sounded off, even over a phone.
“Sounds like something is wrong, though,” you gently pointed out. “What’s on your mind, Matty? Did something happen?”
Matt expelled a long, drawn out sigh over the line. The noise had your lips curving into a frown, especially with how exhausted he had already sounded when you’d first answered. You wished you were there with him in his apartment now, wished you could pull him into a hug because it sounded like he needed one. You'd happily sit there and hold him, comforting him as long as he needed it.
In that moment you found yourself missing the way you’d always had such easy access to each other in college; all you’d had to do back then was walk over to his residence hall and take the elevator up to his dorm. If you wanted to stay up all night talking and drinking, you really could have just skipped a class in the morning. Things had certainly been much simpler back then in some ways more than they were now, though you definitely didn’t miss the heartache you had always carried around not knowing Matt had been within your reach in more than one way that entire time.
“Nothing really,” he told you, his voice sounding a little dejected and worn. “It was just a really difficult week this week and I was having a…bad day, I suppose. I just missed the sound of your voice, if I’m being honest.”
You felt the ghost of a smile cross your lips at his words. You knew that feeling all too well. Truthfully you felt it every single day when you thought about him, but even more on the days that were long and draining. Days like today.
“I’m always just a phone call away, Matty,” you assured him. “But I miss you, too. I’ve been missing you more than usual lately myself.”
“Little less than three weeks and I’ll be right there with you, sweetheart,” he reminded you softly.
There was a smile in his voice, you could hear it in the way it had coated each and every word of his. Matt was not alone in counting down the days until you could pick him up from the airport and have him all to yourself in L.A. for a little while. You’d already been trying to plan things out, wondering what he might enjoy doing with you the most while he was here.
“I’m excited to show you around out here,” you told him, a small smile making its way back onto your lips. “Take you away from that cold New York winter for a bit. Maybe I can bring you to a beach out here, one not filled with tourists. My coworker showed me a good place shortly after I moved here.”
“Oh yeah?” he asked, a brightness returning to his voice already. “I’ve never been to the ocean before. Or a beach.”
“I know,” you told him. “Figured it might be a fun experience. Or at least…I’m hoping it is for you, considering your, you know, heightened senses.”
“Anything I get to do with you while I’m out there will be amazing, sweetheart,” he assured you. “I'm just going to be happy to be with you again. It's already been far too long.”
You ducked your head, your nails nervously toying with the hem of your cotton shorts you’d thrown on after work. He always knew the right thing to say to you, but you could also hear the truth to his words. Honestly you felt the same. You’d easily be content to never leave your apartment for a single minute over the few days he’d be staying with you. If you could curl up with him on your couch for the entire duration of his visit, you’d be blissfully happy.
“Plus,” he continued, his coy tone breaking through your thoughts, “a beach date most likely means you’d be in a swimsuit, right?”
Heat began to creep up your neck and into your cheeks. You’d certainly thought about the implication of a beach date meaning Matt would most likely be shirtless and splayed out on a towel with you, cuddling under the warm California sun. Giving you ample opportunity to appreciate his body and the muscles that his clothing always hinted at, something you’d never once been able to do before as his friend.
“I mean, yes,” you answered softly. “But what does that matter, exactly?”
“Ohh trust me, sweetheart,” Matt began with a deep, amused chuckle, “there’s plenty of ways for me to appreciate you partially dressed on a beach. Where my eyes might fail me, my hands certainly won’t.”
Your cheeks began to flame at the thought of what he might mean by that, your eyes slowly closing. Once more you found yourself mentally kicking yourself for not sleeping with Matt when you’d had the chance last month. Because once again you were beginning to feel that all too familiar dull ache between your legs that was begging to be relieved by him and him alone.
Clearing your throat, you tried to change the topic before you found yourself too worked up. Something you weren’t entirely sure wasn't intentional even now.
“So what exactly was on the agenda for you tonight then?” you asked him. “If you weren't going out?”
“Ahh, well,” he began, sounding a little sheepish, “truthfully I was just going over some documents and counting down the minutes until I could realistically call you after work. But I eventually caved because I couldn’t make myself wait any longer.”
You sighed, spinning around in the breakfast bar stool towards your counter. Leaning forward, you rested your chin in your hand. “Why couldn't you have gotten the ability to fly with those heightened senses of yours, too?” you joked. “Or like, the ability to teleport? Then you could just show up here whenever you want.”
Matt laughed lightly over the line and you closed your eyes, trying to pretend he was here sitting beside you. You would’ve given anything for that.
“I'm sorry, I didn't exactly get a choice in what those chemicals did to me as a kid,” he joked back. “Nor could I have foreseen the usefulness of that for a long distance relationship in the future.”
“I know, I know,” you murmured. “I just wish you weren't so far. I miss you.”
“Me too, sweetheart,” he whispered back, the mirth disappearing from his voice.
A silence fell over the line, the only sound being Matt’s quiet and even breaths. Those three words once more rose to the surface in your mind, dancing on the tip of your tongue. You wanted so badly to just say them already as you sat there, but you knew now wasn't the right time. Thumbnail slipping between your teeth, you began to half-heartedly chew it as you fought to shove the urge to tell Matt how you felt about him back down. That ache in your chest returned as you did, reminding you that even though you finally had Matt, you didn’t have him how you’d always wanted him. Not exactly. Not yet.
“So how’s work been for you this week?” he asked, voice breaking through your thoughts.
“Eh,” you said, shrugging a shoulder. “Busy, even though nothing much exciting is happening at the office. Still certainly a lot less stressful than your week sounded with that big trial you were dealing with.”
A sigh slipped out of your lips as you continued to distractedly chew your thumbnail. If only you had a way to leave L.A. and realistically move back to Hell’s Kitchen. If only things could be different between you two now that you were finally together. If only you could just decide that you wanted to stop by his apartment and then just go there. Like how things used to be back in college.
“Something on your mind?” Matt asked.
“Not really,” you answered. “Was sort of just…missing how it was easier for us to get together back when we were at Columbia. All those Saturday nights I could just show up with a pack of beer at your guys’ dorm and lose track of time. Go grab breakfast together at the dining hall the next morning with you two while we were all still hungover.”
Matt laughed lightly on the other end of the line. “If only I wouldn’t have been an idiot and just told you how I felt, maybe we wouldn’t have wasted so much time. And maybe you wouldn’t be…”
His voice trailed off, his thought left hanging unfinished over the line. Though you knew what he’d been about to say without him having to say it. Maybe if he’d told you how he felt, you might not have been so far away in L.A. right now. If you’d known how he felt, you might never have left in the first place.
But there was no way to change the past now.
“Hey, do you remember that one night at the bar?” you asked Matt, sitting up straighter in the stool as a memory came back to you. “Back at Columbia, when you called me a female version of Foggy?”
Matt groaned loudly over the line, a grin growing wide over your lips at the sound of it. You could just picture him throwing his head back as he sat on his couch, remembering that moment from all those years ago.
“Yes, I remember,” he told you. “Though I don’t think I’d thought about that night in a long time. That was the real reason why you left crying that night though, wasn’t it? Because I’d called you a female Foggy?”
“Yeah,” you answered. “Definitely not the thing you want to hear your crush tell you. That you’re basically the equivalent of their best friend.”
“Shit,” Matt cursed, laughing a little. “I’m sorry, sweetheart. I didn’t truly know just how hurtful that comment was. I hadn’t meant it to be. But what has you bringing that up?”
You shrugged, aware he couldn’t see the gesture. Slipping your nail out from between your teeth, you began to trace the patterns in the quartz of your countertop.
“I’ve always wondered why you’d said that,” you confessed.
“Because I’m an idiot, clearly,” Matt replied, causing you to giggle. “But honestly I’d meant it as a compliment. And I think when I’d picked up on how awful you’d felt thinking you weren’t good enough for Fog at the time–because that’s who I’d suspected you might be talking about–I was hoping it would help your situation. As much as I didn’t want to see you two together, in that moment it pained me to feel how bad you were hurting sitting there next to me. I was hoping that if you’d possibly meant Fog, that the comment would get him to see just how much you both had in common.” Matt exhaled a deep breath, pausing for a moment. “Though it was…clearly a stupid comment to make at the time. And it killed me to know how much it upset you that night after the fact. I’d never meant to make you feel like that.”
“Yeah,” you said softly, finger still tracing the stone of your counter, “I know.”
“Suppose I wasn’t always as smooth as I thought I was back then,” he muttered.
“As long as you don’t feel that way about me now,” you teased back. “I’m certainly hoping you view me a little differently than a female Foggy.”
“Oh trust me,” Matt said, his voice dropping back down to that sultry tone, the one now raising the hair along your forearms as it rumbled right into your ear, “there’s only one of you that I’d like to crawl into bed with and do all sorts of things to, and it’s certainly not Foggy.”
You felt the heat not just creeping back into your cheeks at his words, but now flooding your entire body and sending your blood rushing south. Raising your hand from the cold stone, you pressed the back of it against your burning cheek. Tongue slipping out, you nervously wet your lips.
“Well maybe in a few more weeks you can finally do a few of those things,” you shyly whispered back.
Matt made a pleased noise in his throat, the sound only causing your thighs to press together on the stool. Swallowing hard, your eyelids dropped closed. You could feel your pulse beginning to race, your heart pounding hard in your chest.
“I was certainly planning on it, sweetheart,” he whispered back. “Now you’re only making me look forward to my visit even more.”
“You’re not the only one,” you replied. “I uh, don’t exactly want to waste anymore time when it comes to that.”
“I think we’ve already wasted enough time,” Matt agreed.
And just like that, you knew tonight would inevitably be another night spent with your vibrator when this call finally ended. But you knew you’d be lying in your bed wishing you had Matt between your legs instead, and that only made you more desperate to somehow find your way back to Hell’s Kitchen and back to him.

𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐝
Based off of this ask from @pear-1206
Summary - Dad!Jenson x wife!reader - where you bring your daughters to their first race and Jenson is determined to do his best.
Warnings - none, short and sweet, pure fluff
Word count - 1.2k
Spa was always one of the best tracks to race at - the atmosphere was unlike any other, and - thankfully - the chance of rain was slim. And this weekend was arguably the most important race weekend of Jenson’s career so far - sure it wasn’t for a championship win, but it was the very first race that his daughters would be attending and he was determined to make them proud.
They knew their daddy was a race car driver, but they’d never seen it themselves, you’d both agreed to wait until they were at least confidently walking before bringing them to a race and now aged 2 and 4, it was time for Isabelle and Ava to come to see him drive.
He wasn’t sure if he was more excited or if they were, both of them practically bouncing off of the walls in excitement when he asked them if they wanted to come watch. He’d been sure to pick up some of the smallest merch he could find - wanting his girls to be in his colours as the 4 of you walked through the paddock together.
Ava clung to his shirt as he carried her on his hip, looking around curiously at all the sights - whilst Isabelle was more than happy enough to explore on her own two feet, asking lots of questions. Jenson couldn’t help but feel pride and joy blooming in his chest as he finally got to spend time with his 3 favourite girls in the world in his favourite place.
“Oh hey! I wasn’t expecting the full button clan this weekend.” Lewis grinned, crouching to give Isabelle a high five before offering one to Ava who giggled shyly - patting her little hand against his. “What do we owe the pleasure?”
“Well, we thought they’re both old enough now and it coincided with a weekend that my gorgeous wife could take some time off work.” Jenson hummed, smiling softly at you. “And imagine being able to say that Spa was their first race, that’s pretty cool.”
Lewis smiled. “Who are you girls rooting for this weekend? Is it me?”
Isabella stuck her nose up a little. “No! Daddy, of course!”
“Duh, that was a silly question wasn’t it?” He chuckled. “See you all later, yeah?”
“Say bye to Lewis, Ava.” He whispered, bouncing the toddler in his arms a little - encouraging the toddler to wave.
“Bye Lew!” She grinned. “Race fast! Not fast as daddy, please.”
Jenson helped the three of you set up in the back of the garage - ear protectors comfortably over each of your ears, Ava now in your arms and Isabelle perched comfortably so she had a good view of the screens. He pressed kisses to each of your foreheads before heading off to get race ready.
He always raced better when you came to see him - 2009 was proof enough of this, you’d met the year prior and suddenly everything seemed to fall into place for him. And whilst another championship may not be within his reach like it had been before, he wouldn’t stop at anything to try and make his babies proud of him this weekend.
So when he put the car in P1 for qualifying, seeing your proud faces at the barrier was proof enough to him that he needed to repeat the performance tomorrow. Your gentle whispers of love for him in your shared bed that evening, telling him just how happy his girls were to see him do well - praising him between kisses.
“I’m gonna win for them tomorrow.” He hummed softly, taking your jaw in his hand as you laid, side by side. “Want our girls to see me win… be proud of me.”
You cooed softly. “Jense, they’d be proud of you no matter what. You’re always going to be the coolest dad in the world to them.”
“I mean… I am the coolest Dad.” He grinned, earning a playful roll of your eyes and a kiss goodnight. “I love you.”
“I love you.”
It wasn’t a particularly sunny day for a race, but it was comfortable and the endless piles of raincoats you had brought with you were now unnecessary. The girls both donned in their Dad’s merch - Isabelle’s blonde hair braided, a little red bow at the end, swaying as she skipped along and Ava’s tucked away beneath a cap, her head once again rested against Jenson’s shoulder as she dozed.
He almost didn’t want to put her down - loving the feeling over her in his arms. “Daddy’s got to get in the car, princess.”
“M’comfy.” She yawned. “But okay… Mummy?”
“Hey, I’ve got you.” You hummed softly, taking her from your husband. “I’ll wake you when the race is about to start okay?”
Jenson smiled fondly - giving his little family one more glance before heading out for the race. Whilst he always felt motivated before any race, there was something about knowing the three of you were watching in the garage that gave him that extra kick up the ass to do his best. He rolled his helmet over in his hands, smiling at the girls names he had printed on the carbon fibre before pulling it over his head and sliding into the car.
You could feel your heart racing in your chest as the race immediately started with a messy incident - Maldonado jumping the start turned into a multi-car incident, but thankfully Jenson managed to keep his nose clean and lead the race the whole way through.
As he climbed out of the car, he didn’t even hesitate to run over to the barriers to sweep the three of you into his arms - his heart racing.
“You did it, Daddy! You won!” Isabelle giggled.
It was Ava’s turn to cheer next, her little fists balled up in Jenson’s race suit. “Yaaaay, Daddy!”
He pulled back just enough to look at the three of you, his eyes crinkled up in a smile through his open visor. Jenson pulled his helmet over his head and gave you a chaste kiss. “I love you girls… so much. Thank you for being here today.”
“Go get your trophy, we’ll be right here.” You hummed softly, somehow effortlessly balancing a daughter on each hip. “Then the celebration dinner is on me.”
“…and dessert?” He smirked, raising a brow - leaning a hand on the barrier - eyes only for you, twinkling with mischief.
But before you could scold him the girls both squealed in excitement. “Daddyyy! We want dessert too!”
“See what you’ve done?” You laughed. “Seriously, get out of here!”
He returned your laugh before heading up to do just that - this trophy was like no either; it wasn’t his first, it wasn’t for a championship win… but as the national anthem played over the crowds, the feeling of being able to look down and see the three of you smiling up at him was like no either. His chest felt warm and fuzzy, he absolutely loved racing and finally getting to share it with his girls was a dream come true.
I love you. He mouthed, relishing the way your smile brightened.
I love you too.
He was brought out of his almost trance-like state as Sebastian sprayed him down with champagne, the German gripping his bicep as he lent into whisper. “Congrats man, can’t imagine the night you’re in for with the way your wife was looking at you.”
Jenson laughed, giving him a playful shove before returning the spray of the sparkling drink.
He took one more glance over the podium at the three of you, grinning as the girls waved up at him once more. Definitely his favourite podium ever.

you write a lot of boyfriend!frank but how do you think he would be before that/at the beginning of the relationship, who would be the first to ask the other out? do you think frank would be confident in himself or a anxious mess during a first date? would he try to kiss her? and the same when it comes to first sex- confident or rather anxious? love your writing!! 💗
First of all -- thank you! So glad you're enjoying reading. Second -- such great questions! So much to think about.
Ok, so I imagine the relationship not following a typical linear path. In a lot of ways, I sort of envision my Neighbor!Frank stories to be a prelude to Boyfriend!Frank though there are a lot of differences between the two. They're not technically the same "character" but I still envision the relationship starting in a similar way. Meaning, you're in each other's orbits for a long time -- neighbors who rely on each other a lot (more like you relying on him more tho) and in a lot of ways, it's a very intimate, nearly romantic relationship. Frank sort of makes it his job to make sure you're taken care of, even if it is from down the hall. Hauling your packages up to your unit, fixing your jammed window, installing your garbage disposal for you.
And most of the time, he's anticipating your needs before you get a chance to ask him. Like that jammed window-- you worked up the nerve to knock on his door and ask for help and all you say is "Frank, I was wondering if maybe you could--" and he's finishing your sentence with "fix that jammed window? Yeah sweetheart, I saw your curtains blowin' in the breeze last night and knew that window must have been jammed open. Piece-of-shit landlord shouldn't be leaving you in a unit without locked windows" while he's grabbing for his toolbox.
And this goes on for months -- with the moments growing more intimate but still never romantic. Like when he was gone for 9 days straight and you couldn't stop checking the peephole everytime you heard footsteps. On the ninth day, when he finally came home, you barreled out of your apartment door and nearly crashed into his arms mumbling, "was so worried about you Frank. You didn't tell me you were leaving," and he's just rubbing your back and murmuring, "hey hey, I'm here sweetheart. Shit, didn't mean to worry ya -- just had some business I had to do. Hey I'm alright, I'm alright." And it was that moment that Frank decided he wasn't gonna leave you like that again.
Because as far as Frank was concerned, he was gonna stay in your life whether it was romantic or not. You were it for him. He was in it for the long haul. Now he was just gonna give you time for you to realize it too. And that came a few weeks later when a particularly pushy date was at your doorstep, pulling out every excuse in the books to get into your apartment, in the hopes of getting into your pants. He's got one foot in your door, going on and on about how he could really use a coffee and maybe you just could just make him a cup and you're politely declining over and over until you see Frank's door creak open and he casually leans against the frame, arms folded across his broad chest, and asks "everything alright sweetheart?" and the guy just cranes his neck back to say "fuck off buddy." Frank only smirks a bit before he makes eye contact with you and says "Say the word honey," and you just give him a quick nod. Frank is on the guy in two strides, stomping his foot with a sickening crunch and the guy is hunched and howling. Frank leans towards his ear, his arm looped around the guy's bicep as he hauls him upright and says "Apologize-- now" and the guy is spewing I'm sorrys at you as Frank shoves him with a "now get the fuck out of here."
Not a moment later and Frank is back in front of you, a hand cupped to your jaw and a thumb rubbing the skin of your cheek asking if you're ok and "he didn't touch you did he?" You lean into his hand and shake your head no, offering a quiet thank you for his help. You both stay like that a moment, reveling in the closeness. The safety of it. Frank's eyes are searching your face as he asks, "When are you gonna stop wasting your time with these assholes?" He had seen the dates come and go, never lasting more than a few awkward encounters. For a moment, you can't meet his eye but you force a smile and and ask "What asshole should I be wasting my time with?" He lets out a soft chuckle and his other hand lands on the opposite cheek, tilting your face up towards his as he says "this asshole" and guides your lips to his. At first the kiss is slow, tentative. Like he'd be asking permission if his mouth weren't already occupied. He's gauging your comfort but he soon finds confirmation when you let out a small whine as you raise to your tip-toes to deepen the kiss.
Like a powderkeg, Frank hauls you closer to him, guiding your bodies back into your apartment with your lips still locked. You're nearly floating, the strength of Frank's grip carrying you into the bedroom where he lifts you onto the bedroom and undresses you as he kisses along your body, telling you how fucking beautiful you are. And throughout it all you hear Frank's plea-- let me love you, let me love you, let me love you-- in the way Frank fills you up slowly, the way he asks "you ok sweetheart?" every time he draws a whimper from you, the way his hand is soft on your stomach as an orgasm tears through you.
And that was it. Not another moment passed that Frank didn't let you know you were his and he was yours.
Not the most storybook love story but it's how I envision it.

Dress Up: Part 3 - Second Preview
Thank you all for yelling at me last night! I got some more story for ya! I want to finish this chapter within the next few days, but I hope you enjoy this :)
Italic lines - 2nd Lucifer is speaking
Bold and Italic lines - Both Lucifers are speaking
Warnings: Oral (f receiving) but not a lot because I gotta leave you wanting more hehe~
"Now sweetheart, I never said "no", now did I?" you heard a familiar soothing voice echo behind you.
You turned your head slowly, only to see an identical Lucifer sitting next to you on the opposite side. You gulped and smiled warily. The other Lucifer grabbed your hand and kissed it delicately.
"You...you want this?" you turned to your Lucifer as the other continually kissed up your arm.
Lucifer beamed at you, taking your other hand. "More than you know! If I'm given the chance to provide you with as much pleasure as I possibly can, I will never turn down that opportunity! Besides, I do owe you from the reception, and I intend to pay it back tenfold."
You didn't think your face could get any more beet red. Your lips met with your Lucifer once more, his tongue gliding across your bottom lip, begging for entrance, to which you happily obliged. The other Lucifer found his way to your neck, now sucking and nipping at your sensitive skin. You had barely begun, and your adrenaline had skyrocketed. You had to pull yourself away before you wouldn't be able to stop yourself.
"I...I'd like to clean up first, if that's alright," you chuckled. Your Lucifer grinned, with both of them standing up and offering you their hands.
"Shall we?" they spoke in unison.
Your face flushed as you took each of their hands, pulling yourself up from the bed. They led you to the illustrious bathroom that was connected to your bedroom. It was way too grand for just a couple. Well, at least you three would take up just a little more space. You stripped out of your reception dress quickly, your lovers following suit. The shower itself could have easily fit everyone on in the hotel inside, but the three of you planned to use the space to your advantage. Once the shower was heated to your liking, you stepped in tentatively, letting the hot water relax your body. You didn't realize how stiff you had been. Perhaps the cause were the two men that just stepped in the shower to join you. One stepped around behind you, the other in front. Perfectly sandwiched between two God-like figured. Her heart threatened to beat out of your chest as you felt two hands gently massage your shoulders while two more thumbed circles around your hips.
"It's alright, darling," your Lucifer spoke calmy from behind. "We'll go at the pace you're most comfortable with, yeah? If you need to stop at any point, say the word and we'll be done." You nodded your head, giving them the 'okay' to continue.
"Let's get you all nice and clean now, love," the other Lucifer cooed. He passed the bottle of shampoo to your Lucifer while he lathered his hands with soap. You felt a pair of hands massaging your scalp ever so gently as they thoroughly scrubbed your soft hair, detangling any knots that may have formed. Two more hands roamed your skin, gliding across every inch of it. Starting at your neck, moving across to your shoulders, down to your breasts. Your breath hitched and you giggled, noticing how long his hands lingered in the specific area. His hands finally moved down lower, to your stomach and your hips, only to reach around and give a few light squeezes to your ass. You knew he was going to be touchy, especially considering it's been an entire week since he's been able to feel you like this. And you weren't going to deny him.
You rinsed your hair, watching the other Lucifer lower himself onto his knees to wash your legs, starting at your calves and working his way up to your thighs. After a few seconds, you noticed his hands have not left your thighs; he continued to run his hands along them delicately but desperately, almost begging for something more. You looked down at him only to be met with pleading eyes. It suddenly clicked with you. Wordlessly, you spread your legs apart slightly, allowing him access to the one area of you that you knew he wanted. That he needed. You let out a few shaky breaths before you at last felt his digits glide along your folds. You didn't know how much you missed the feeling of his fingers until he began his ministrations, easily finding your sensitive nub in the process. You mewled as your Lucifer turned your head to capture your sounds on his lips. You felt the other Lucifer's fingers enter you slowly, causing you to moan into your Lucifer's mouth. He swallowed it happily. You felt him languidly thrust his fingers in and out of you, your walls clenching around them.
"Now this is heaven," your Lucifer whispered against your collarbone. "I can finally tell you how wonderful you taste on my tongue." Without warning, the Lucifer beneath you gripped your thighs and plugged his face into your aching pussy, your knees nearly buckling under its own weight. Luckily, Lucifer caught you and held you close to his chest as the hot water continued to loosen every muscle in your body.

I apologize for the onslaught of posts that I’ve unleashed on you all at once, but it is currently three o’clock in the morning here and maybe it’s my insomnia that’s kicking in or it’s just too godsdamn hot in my bedroom. So alas, here I am, struggling to fall asleep for the night. I thrive sleeping in the cold and loathe the sweltering heat and I know that it will only get worse once Summer comes around, but this fact got me thinking and I’d like to share it with you.
~
I like to imagine that Astarion is the type of person who loves to cuddle with his partner once he’s comfortable enough to do so and once he’s gotten a taste for it, he simply can’t get enough of it. So naturally, he would be more than happy to cuddle up with you when you would complain to him if it was too warm at night to your liking and had a difficult time trying to fall asleep. He would tease you mercilessly about only wanting him for his body just so you could snuggle against his icy skin, but he secretly rejoices in these moments because it makes him feel wanted and he also has the chance to have you as his personal heater and warm him from the inside out.
And since he really has no need for sleep himself other than the occasional trance as his “long rest”, he would often like to read to you while you rested your head in his lap, softly stroking through your hair until you would eventually drift off. Or in most cases, he would hold you in his arms and bask in the warmth that was radiating through your body and you finally gaining the relaxing comfort of his embrace, the sensation of his cool touch making you sigh in relief from the sweaty and uncomfortable feeling of the summer heat.
It would be mutually beneficial for the both of you, considering that you were polar opposites in these circumstances, but it would also be very endearing to share a moment like this with Astarion. It really didn’t matter that you would only seek him out as a way to cool down from the balmy atmosphere, he had a certain charm about him that you would instantly gravitate towards him if he so deemed it and there was no other force in the world that could pull you away from one another. He enjoys being in your company and being able to let his guard down and cuddle with you was just another wonderful perk in his book. Without a doubt, you had him under your spell as you lay together in his tent and slowly drifted off to sleep together, a rare treat that only you could provide as he found himself to be well rested the next morning. It would be safe to say that he would never let go of you now and would even offer to let you spend every night with him from now on if it meant that he could hold you once more, not only to feel your warmth, but also the love you held for him.

Can I request the brothers reacting to mc saying i love you to them for the first time.
yessssss ❤️
Saying "I love you" for the first time
Lucifer:
You have been dating for months and you are yet to tell him you love him. It doesn't matter as your actions tell him every single day about your devotion. In your defense, he is also too proud to say it out loud. Maybe you two deserve each other after all, Just Say It Already, Damn. Today he could manage to take you out for dinner, ushered you home and made sure you felt good&loved, if you know what I mean. You were laying on your side, your hand holding your head up as he was getting under the blanket to put himself away.
"I love you, Lucifer. Thank you for today, I enjoyed every minute."
"I'm so glad. I love you too, y/n."
Now that it is finally over, he will be sure to remind you every day; he loves you, most ardently.
Mammon:
You were taking a stroll around town with him; you were a little tipsy which made you a little braver than usual. He took you to a place up top, where you could see the entire city from.
-Careful y/n, anything you say here echoes in the city, so keep quiet!
- Nu-uh, stop being so silly, no way it echoes here... see... I LOVE YOU MAMMON!
-What- Shhh- Human what you doing- damnit-
-Want me to do it again?
-....... you kidding me? sure but... this time only I wanna hear it.
Before you had the chance to say it again his lips were already on yours, his arms pulling you really close to him. (It did, in fact, echo on that part.)
Leviathan:
It was time for the annual cuddle break from his game. It took him weeks to get this comfortable with you, he sure did believe you were faking everything to prank him, for days. It took you consistent effort to prove him otherwise; that's why you were careful not to say it too soon. His head was laying on your chest, all was quiet for a second, both of you feeling peace surrounding you for once. Perfect timing.
"I love you." Then there was silence. You felt him squeeze you a bit, as if you could get any closer to him. He mumbled something you couldn't catch.
Satan:
He took you out to a local cat coffee. The date went really well, the cats were playful and the company was perfect. On the way home it started to rain; you might have stayed longer in the coffee than you intended, so of course you got caught. Thankfully he had an umbrella on him; you suspect he was expecting this situation to happen. You scooted very close to him to fit under his only umbrella. He haven't said anything for a couple of minutes when you broke the silence.
"I love you so much."
His steps slowed down a bit, turning himself to look at you.
"And I love you even more." He gave you a quick kiss on your forehead.
Asmodeus:
He had a long day today, he had to buy new clothes; the new season is here and he must keep up with fashion! You were at his room as he was giving you a spontaneous catwalk show in his new clothes. Of course he looked adorable in everything. You were sitting there cheering him on, - Another 10/10, you look so stunning Asmo!
- You think so? Don't you think green would look better on me?
- Oh come on now. You are breathtaking in every color. I love you.
He smiled, a very genuine smile in fact, and didn't hesitate to kiss you then and there.
Beelzebub:
He was strong enough to pull you closer to him as you were just a bit too far, both of you on the couch of the Common Room, watching a comedy. He kept stealing short kisses from you the entire time, needing your touch the most.
"I love you, you know." You could swear you saw his eyes tear up just a little bit.
"I love you too." He made sure you wouldn't see his face for the rest of the movie. Was extra cuddly with you that night.
Belphegor:
Today was awful for you and at this point all you wanted was a nap with your favourite person here. He promised to help you fall asleep; laying behind you he was stroking your hair from the front to the back, slowly and carefully. You were almost asleep when you quietly muttered;
"I love you." You couldn't see his expression but you sure heard a giggle from him.
"I love you too. Now, just relax and fall asleep."

Ok but the idea of Johnny having a thing for a waitress/server but being too nervous to do anything about it directly except come in all the time and make up excuses to talk sounds so adorable
excuses excuses
a/n: ohh, this was a cute one
pairing: johnny cage x gn!reader
warnings: none :)
Johnny bounces his leg underneath the table, waiting for you to come out from the back and come and take his order
he shouldn’t be nervous, no way, he was Johnny Cage, he was getting his PhD in quantum physics and was a master at fighting
and he was scheduled to film for some indie film as the romantic interest, no way he should be nervous right now to talk to a waiter at some small local restaurant
and yet, here he was, fingers twitching impatiently and leg bouncing rapidly, nervous as the day he saw you several months ago
he always asks for your section, and sometimes he gets his timing wrong or you veer off your normal schedule, and he has to eat when the waiter isn’t you
but that was fine, especially when he saw how your face lit up when he gave you a big tip
he was a broke college student but that was fine if he got to see you smile because of him
Johnny fiddles with his fingers and straightens his back as he sees you approaching his table, tying the apron behind your back as you walk straight towards him
you pull out your notepad and greet him with a wide smile, calling him by name and asking if he wants his usual order
he gives you a dopey smile and asks actually if you can give him a recommendation for something you really like on the menu
you tuck your hair behind your ear as you bend over and look at the menu before him, eyes flitting between the different options
he wishes he could tuck your ear behind your ear for you, to ask you on dates and treat you to the best places, hold your hand, kiss you, dance with you
your finger underlines something on the menu, and you say that’s your favorite
Johnny immediately places the order, and you jot it down and ask if he needs anything else
he wants to make a move, to ask you out, to take you on a date, to let im pick you up in his shitty car on an adventure, but he chickens out and says no he doesn’t need anything else
you walk away, going off to the next table, and Johnny deflates in his seat, mentally scolding himself for not taking the chance and growing a pair
he goes over the plan in his head one more time to ask you out, he’ll just do it when he’s paying the bill
you bring over the food, warn him that it’s hot, before you go off and service another table, and Johnny unwraps the utensils folded neatly in the napkins and digs into the food
you have great taste in food as well, and Johnny has to struggle to not shovel the food into his mouth to try and seem somewhat gentlemanly in front of you
every time you come around, Johnny straightens his back, fixes his posture, wipes his mouth, and he can’t tell whether or not you’re glancing at him and smiling
finally, he calls for the check, unable to finish the rest of his food, and you kindly bring over a leftover box and a paper bag to hold the meal
he hands you over a wad of cash, enough to pay for the meal and still have a hefty tip, and you smile at him and blush slightly and leave with a small wave goodbye
packing away his meal, Johnny curses at himself for not being bolder, for not asking you out on a date, for not doing anything except be another customer in your day
he brings the meal home and digs the box out of the bag to put it in the fridge
his fingers crumple up something inside of the box, and he frowns, not remembering whether or not he had put something else in there or not
pulling out a napkin he definitely didn’t put in there, he flips it over and nearly has a heart attack when he sees a number on there with your name signed on the bottom
he nearly drops the food on the ground in a rush to get his phone out of his pocket and type in your number
leaving his food on the counter, he types and deletes messages, unsure of what to send and furrows his brows as his fingers fumble and become sticky with sweat
after what feels like an eternity, he decides on a simple but straightforward text, just saying it was him and when you were free this weekend, that he’d love to take you out on a date
he tosses his phone to the side, too nervous to see if you’ll text back, and he goes and puts his food away and takes a shower, trying to wash away the nerves
making his way back to his phone, he stares at it for a few seconds before finally picking it up and unlocking it, nearly having another heart attack when he sees you’ve responded back so quickly
you tell him when you’re free and your address with a small smiley face, telling him to surprise you, and Johnny immediately hops over to his dying laptop to look up date places
he was not missing this chance with you

I just had an idea for Atsumu and Hisako-
Don't mind me, though 🤪
Hisako accidentally burns her finger (or hand or smth) on the burner when Reader told her to be careful.
Atsumu finds out and starts pampering his baby 🥰
I was in science when I thought of this 😅
FEEL FREE TO IGNORE 💕
LOVE YOUR WORKS ❤️❤️
“Hisako, it’s hot.”
“Not that hot,” she says confidently.
“Yes, it is,” you assure. “Don’t you remember daddy just cooked on it? It needs time to cool.”
And you see it happen in slow motion- she plants her hand square on the stove to reach the cabinet above, only to reel her hand back and let out a pained wail. Immediately, you leap to your feet and scoop her in your arms, her free hand cradling her scalding one. You turn the sink on cold, guiding her palm under the faucet.
“I told you to be careful,” you sigh, running your daughter’s hand under cold water, your other arm cradling her close as she sniffles and cries in your chest from the pain. “I told you to not touch it.”
“It was an accident,” she whimpers, face blotchy from crying.
“I know it was,” you assure. “And now you know to be careful with the stovetop, yes? Make sure to it’s not hot, right?” She nods against you. You shush her gently, and just as she finally is able to come down from crying, atsumu enters the room, face immediately curving in distress.
“What happened?” He coos.
“Hisako put her hand on the stove and-“
“THE STOVE?” He gasps, knowing full well that the appliance was active from his own making of breakfast. At his reaction, hisako whimpers and buries her face in your side, and Atsumu is quick to crouch down in front of her, “are you okay? How bad does it hurt, one to ten?”
“Six,” she sniffles, and Atsumu takes his chance to scoop her in his big arms and cradle her to his own chest, letting her cry some more from the pain of being burned. “It hurt daddy…”
“I know, baby,” he shushes, screwing his eyes shut. “Daddy’s a big dumb dummy who left the stove unattended.”
“Mumma told me not to touch it,” she confesses. He looks at you, and you shrug.
He sighs, “I still should’ve been there to tell you too. Since it’s daddy’s fault you got burned.”
You cross your arms over your chest and watch as he soothes your little girl, palm rubbing over her back as she tries to ground herself. “Not your fault daddy…” she says quietly.
You hook a lock of her hair behind her ear before turning on your heel to clean up, leaving a calming father to soothe his injured child.

for the last couple days I've been thinking about a Dungeon Meshi AU with the girl version of Laios from the magic mirror bonus page. Like, let's say she got married at 16, and ten years and two kids later she's escorting her youngest to magic school and planning to visit with Falin for a couple days before heading home. She finds out Falin and Marcille (I can't decide if everybody should be gender-swapped or only Laios. If Falin is The Boy he'd probably be expected to become village chief despite having creepy ghost magic, but maybe Laios's husband turned out to be a good leader so there's an unspoken "if Falin doesn't come back would that really be so bad?" among the villagers. But if Falin and Marcille are still girls that could lead to some interesting Deconstructing Gender Norms stuff. I just don't know!) have been planning to go to The Island and study a real dungeon, and instantly flips from quiet and demure (masking HARD) to excited and full of energy, and Marcille asks why Laios doesn't just come along. It'll only be a few months, both kids are in boarding schools, won't her husband understand?
The answer to that is no, but Laios has been dreading going back home for exactly the reason that it'll just be her and her husband now, no more kids as a buffer. She'll have nothing to do but take care of the house and be a Good Wife. Her husband isn't a bad person, but he's never understood her and never bothered to try, he just gets frustrated that she can't remember their guests' names, that she only wants to talk about "weird" things, that she cares more about her letters from Falin than she does taking care of her appearance.
Laios lets just enough of this slip that Marcille misunderstands and thinks her husband is a brute, and Falin has always known that being a housewife didn't suit Laios at all, so neither of them argue when Laios decides to abandon her marriage with only a brief letter back home.
On the trip Laios starts to learn magic, but she turns out to take to combat even better. Her encyclopedic (literally, it all comes from encyclopedias) knowledge of monster anatomy means she'll have the best chance out of the three of them at physically fighting things off if they can't find a trustworthy fighter to hire. But overall she's responsible for organizing their supplies and planning the expeditions. Having experience running a household comes in handy!
Of course, the three of them are pretty naive, and they run through Marcille's savings faster than expected, but they're all so interested in the dungeon that they're willing to stick out the tough times. Laios is so happy to finally be able to Be Herself around people that she starts talking about cooking and eating monsters without realizing that's a step too far for most folks. Falin is, of course, completely supportive, but Marcille and Namari shut it down most of the time. (I'm not sure where Shuro is or if he should be gender-swapped as well. Chilchuck wouldn't join the party until they've become successful enough to pay his rates. If he's gender-swapped this is her way of dealing with an empty nest.) However one day Senshi happens to overhear Laois talking about it while they pass each other and they become fast friends. Marcille isn't sure if s/he wants Laios's obsession with monsters-as-food to continue, but can't resist encouraging this because forbidden love affairs are peak romance. But no they're genuinely just friends and the thought never crosses either of their minds.
Marcille has no idea Laios has actually already had a couple of extramaritals with orc men.
(that's all I got so far!)

A House
Part: 1
Author's Note: this chapter will be just establishing the relationship between Matty and Lilah. This chapter is them as kids then next chapter will probably be them as teens and that's where all the drama starts. I hope you all give this a chance and i really hope y'all like this. If it's shitty, shut the fuck up.

Matty and Lilah - Age 11
“Lilah, where’d you go?” Matty had asked “I’ve been seeking for ages, I’m tired and I’m hungry. You win, can we please go back to my house now? My mum has dinner ready for us. It’s gonna be cooooold.”
Finally he sees her drop from the branches of a tree.
“You’ve been in a tree this whole time?” He asked with his eyebrows raised to his hairline.
“Yeah, you walked past me a whole lot. It was hard not to laugh or move.” Lilah had walked to him while giggling a bit.
“Well you won fair and square.” Matty said as he picked a small branch out of Lilah’s hair, “can we go and eat now? I’m starving.”
“Yeah, let’s go!” Lilah has said as she began to race back to Matty's house.
The two ran towards the house with Lilah in the lead, Matty following slightly behind.
They ran until they reached the back steps of the house when Lilah called out
“I won.”
“You didn’t win. There was nothing to win.”
“What do you mean? It was a race, and I got here first. Therefore, I win.” she beamed at him.
“You never declared a race, Delilah.” he said enunciating the syllables in her name.
“I think you’re just bitter that you didn’t win any of today's games. Not only did I win hide and seek, but I also just won this race. Is your ego hurt?’’ she said while pouting her mouth at him, “oh poor baby. Little baby Matty didn’t win against a girl!” she laughed.
“That is not true and you know it. You won hide and seek but you did not win a race because there was no race.” he playfully punched her arm.
“Whatever you say, whatever helps you sleep at night.” Lilah had said as she walked into the house.
“You’re such a twat.” he tells her as he holds the door open for her.
“Matthew Timothy Healy, what did you just say?”
The boy felt his spine stiffen as he shivered from the booming of that voice.
“Nothing mum, Lilah and I were just talking about the games we played today.” Matty had told her.
“Is he telling the truth, Lilah? Is my boy being honest with me right now?” Denise, Mattys mother, had asked the girl, raising an eyebrow at her with a sly smile.
“Yes, Denise. We just played a few games today and were talking about how I won every single game.” Lilah had responded, making her way to sit at the dining table.
“You did not win every game today.” Matty exclaimed, “I won the first round of hide and seek and the race didn’t even count because it was never declared a race.”
“You only “won” the first round of hide and seek because you wouldn’t stop crying after you’d fallen in the creek and bruised your leg on the rocks. And that race was declared a race. Stop being bitter that you’ve lost to a girl… again.” she laughed.
“I’m not bitter, there’s nothing to be bitter about, cause I won fair and square and no I did not cry. I’m a big boy.” Matty said as he took a seat next to Lilah.
“Yes you are Matthew.” Denise said as she placed some plates of steaming hot food in front of the pair, ruffling Matty's hair at the same time.
“Mum.” Matty had whined, “Not the hair. It’s what gets me all the ladies.”
“What ladies?” Lilah asked.
“Yeah what ladies?” Denise followed up with.
“Ya know, the ladies.” Matty responded to both of them.
“Oh yeah, the ladies in your imagination.” Lilah said as she tried to suppress a laugh.
“Alright kids, eat up. It’s getting late and Lilah has to go back home.” Denise had told the kids as she walked to the sink to wash some of the dishes.
“No. Can I stay with Lilah tonight? or can she stay here?” Matty had looked at his mom with a frown and furrowed eyebrows.
It was merely impossible to separate the two. They were always at each other's sides. Since they’d met, they never went a day without seeing each other. They would often spend the night at each other's houses, cause they couldn’t bear to part for so long. If the two were ever separated for long hours at a time, you could see the color and light drain from their eyes. They would both be timid and anxious the whole time, wondering when they would be able to see the other again. It also didn’t help that Lilah got made fun of in school. She was constantly bullied for playing like a boy and acting like one. Lilah was always frightened so she stuck near Matty, knowing she felt safe when he was present. And Matty always worried about Lilah and wanted to protect her and keep her safe. So he stuck next to her, not letting her out of his sight.
“If Lilah's family is alright with it, then you two can spend the night here. After dinner, go take Lilah home and ask her family’s permission.” Denise had told the kids.
-=+=-
After gobbling down their dinner, Matty and Lilah made their way to Lilah's house. It wasn’t a far track but it was far enough that no one wanted Lilah to walk home alone, whether it was day or night, she always had to be accompanied.
On their walk to Lilah’s house, the two talked:
“What’d you wanna do tomorrow?” Matty asked as he kicked some rocks under his shoe.
“I dunno. We could go swimming in the creek? Then we could dry off in the field by my house.”
“Sure, but I have to help my dad in the field, but that’s early in the morning though. I think you’ll still be asleep by the time I’m done.” Matty smiled.
“Maybe. I can help you though, so you can get it done faster.”
“No it’s alright Lilah. I’m a big boy, remember?” he said flexing his scrawny bicep.
“Right. Just wake me when you’re done so we can go to the creek.”
As the sun was setting, the two made it to Lilah’s house. Lilah led the way as Matty followed closely behind.
Upon entering the house, Lilah and Matty were met by Lilah’s parents who were sitting in their living room having a light conversation.
“Hi mom, Hi dad.” Lilah said.
“Hello Mr. and Mrs. Finnegan. Lovely to see you guys.” Matty said as he greeted them.”
“Please Matthew, you’ve known us for years, you can drop the Mr. and Mrs.” stated Lilah’s mother.
“Sorry.” Matty blushed.
“Can I stay with Matty tonight? Or can he stay here?” Lilah asked
“You two can spend the night at Matty’s. It’ll be easier rather than having to send him home to tell his mother and having him come all the way back. Be careful, love. I’ll see you tomorrow. I love you.”
Mrs. Finnegan had told her daughter.
Lilah ran up to her mother to hug her and kiss her goodnight, saying a farewell to her father as well.
The two said their goodbyes and made their way back to Matty’s house as the sun had just set. During the walk the two talked about the most outrageous things like how Matty had shoved his ice cream cone in another kid's face because that kid was bullying Lilah. It had made Lilah laugh, and Matty loved seeing and hearing her laugh, especially when she’s laughing because of him.
Matty and Lilah had made their way back to Matty’s house and gotten ready for bed. As per usual, Matty slept on the floor and let Lilah sleep on his bed.
“Matty?” Lilah asked into the darkness of the room.
“Yeah?”
“Do you think we’ll be friends forever?”
“Yeah, you’re stuck with me forever. No matter how much I annoy you, you won’t be able to get rid of me.”
“You don’t annoy me, you could never annoy me.”
“Don’t worry Lilah. I’m staying, nothing bad will ever happen, okay?” Matty asked while looking up at her from the floor.
“Okay.” Lilah smiled as she looked down at him.
“Goodnight Lilah”
“Goodnight Matty”

Tommy and Josh are friends. Somehow after some calls they got friendly and at one point decided to just hang out after exchanging numbers and texting for a while. They clicked. They found out they both were gay and it's so easy to finally have a friend that gets it.
So at one of their hangouts after the hurrican thing Tommy talks about the stunt the 118 pulled and he is like making fun before he talks about this guy being a literal golden retriever, trying to encourage the them and Josh just laughs and says "That's Buck alright." And Tommy just slowly turns to Josh with a look, a look that Josh has come to know and Josh goes "No Tommy, no."
And Tommy is all like "I didn't even say anything!"
And Josh is like "I get it trust me. First few times I meet him, I also crushed but that man is straight and also a giant idiot. His heart is too big and he wouldn't know how to turn you down. As his friend, I am telling you do not."
And Tommy goes "fine" and then they continue on with Tommy telling Josh about meeting up with Eddie and Josh makes a joke about the two army guys obviously bonding.
Cut to like three weeks later (They have both had different shift schedules and Josh has helped Maddie with the wedding) and they meet up after the restaurant date and Josh can sense something is wrong with his friend.
He wants to probe but Tommy just says "Thought I had a chance with a cute guy bit turns out he wasn't ready for something" and Josh gets it. He's been there, it sucks sometimes and he just offers his friend a shoulder to lean.
Another two weeks pass and when they meet up again Tommy is smiling. Like his nose scrunch smile which he only does when he is really smitten and Josh has truly only seen it once. So he immediately goes into questioning mood but Tommy just laughs and says "You know that cute guy? I think he is ready" but he won't elaborate further. And Josh is trying but Tommy just keeps giving vague answers and wow, Josh truly has never seen Tommy like this and feels a swell of happiness because whoever has his friend smiling like that better be good and worth it.
Josh also coincidentally has a meet up with the Buckley-Han family (they are already married to him basically) and he notices how Buck is glancing at his phone a lot and having this goofy smile and wow. He makes a joke about Buck having found a new girlfriend and Buck sort of freezes and now Josh feels bad but then he smiles such a soft smile it kind of hits him in the chest when he says "I am seeing someone and I am really happy." Cut to Chim wanting to probe but Buck not bugging and Josh just feeling happy for his friend. Maddie suddenly turns and ask "Did you want to bring them to the wedding?" and Buck kind of sheepishly replies "I already invited them." And Maddie softly chuckles talking about how gone her brother is and Josh is suddenly aware that Buck is using only they/them which isn't weird but it's not how Buck usually talks.
And Chim pipes up and says "With how much time you have been spending talking complaining about Tommy before, I have no idea where you suddenly got a date" and OMG.
Buck flushes a bit, Maddie laughs and Josh slaps a hand over his mouth to stop a giggle coming out.
Buck notices of course he does and when they are done later he pulls Josh aside and wants to talk but Josh just throws himself at Buck, hugging him.
"If you break his heart as his friend I have to hurt you. But as your friend, I couldn't be more happier for you" to which Buck kind of melts, chuckles and returns the hug.
On the way home, after some more heartfelt words because he knows how difficult and hard this can be, Josh stops the car at Tommy's flat, knocks up a storm and pushes past Tommy only to explode in the hallway as soon as the door is closed.
"YOU ARE DATING EVAN BUCKLEY AND YOU DIDN'T THINK TO TELL ME!"
And Tommy is a bit flabbergasted and laughs to which Josh kind of gets upset and says "I love you, I am fully in support of your relationship, I couldn't be happier, he is a catch but damn, are you telling me I could have had a chance?"
Which just causes a ridiculous laughing and giggling fit between two grown ass adults that Josh and Tommy will be happy to deny ever happened.
