I GOT LIKE TWO OTHER ASKS ABT PRESONALITY AND BACKGROUND SO I MIGHT AS WELL JUST ANSWER THEM HERE

genesis was born into a basically a military family that prides themselves in being the best at providing o’khasis w/ strong knights/guards/bodyguards- some of the ppl of their family serve directly under Lord Garte himself- so she was raised in a way that taught her how to fight and serve those above her. she was taught from the moment she could wield a sword how to be the best weapon for anyone, a sword unable to have their own opinions, beliefs- she passed at the top of her class in knight academy and when zane cane around to build the jury, he chose genesis to be one. she’s pretty much what you can expect from someone who was raised in this way, she doesn’t seem to show any emotion or sympathy, she can be cruel and has convergent thinking, she’s not… cold or mean? but sort of monotonous? in a way? she has zero social skills so she does not do well alone in a public setting. she’s extremely obedient to authority figures and uhhhh thats all i can come up w/ for her? she has a bit of a strange relationship with jeffory? by that i mean, jeffory tries to stop genesis whenever she does something cruel when zane’s not around. he has to spend a while to convince her to out her fists down and just jgnore it bc zane’s not gna care. he sorta feels bad for her since she never really got that freedom at all? kinda like an animal born in captivity who even if you give them a way out, they probably wont take it bc their little area is all that they know. if that makes any sense, its so weird to compare my ocs to animals but thats sorta the best way i can explain it.

CONNIE- ohhhh connie connie he’s great. originally i had planned to make him some sort of deranged scientist/inventor who was stuck in the dimension of a different god for years and while thats not completely off what i want to do, i’m kinda not set on that now. but anyway, connie is basically con man extraordinaire but also a coward at times- he’s an alchemist, also doctor also surgeon also herbologist also scientist also researcher also archeologist also historian also he used to work in a circus for half a year if that can add anything to his resume- when he’s not getting himself killed trying to discover the secrets of the dead gods, he’s creating medicine to help those who cannot pay for a healer or expensive healing potions, or he’s out stealing shit from zane or he’s doing some other shit. anything other than getting a good night’s sleep. i do plan on- it’s a bit of a funny little “spin off idea” where its aaron and connie traveling together before the events of mcd, where connie hires aaron to accompany him on a small bodyguard job turned years long adventures with aaron keeping connie from joining the souls in the nether. he’s sm fun ik telling u-

sam (fitzgerald) very willingly does the trends with her he thinks it’s fun. actually lets talk about the fitzgerald twins

so basically they have the sweetest most loving least nuclear nuclear family ever. from my vague memory of the ep it’s just them, garth and bess, and their older sister who’s probably moved out so yknow. rowdy 18 year olds with the house to themselves. they’re super different but love each other and know how to live with each other after like over a decade of being the top and bottom bunk on the bunk bed (cas got top, sam was afraid of heights as a child)

they both wear the silver bullet necklaces that the whole family wears, n both are happy to. sam kind of secretly wishes he could just be a regular human boy, so he appreciates the message of “you’re just like a human! you are no better than them, so love everyone equally :).” cas actually kinda likes being a werewolf but he appreciates the message the necklace offers of “hey ur stronger and better than literally all humans but you can still die so, don’t eat them i guess.”

oh if you couldn’t tell cas is the emo one. sam took after the general fitzgerald household vibes of overeagerness and love and happy times! cas just tries to be… anything but that. he probably listens to, like, death grips.

he’s still a big hugger, though. kind of ruins his image when he’s saying goodbye to some acquaintance and almost instinctively goes in for a snuggle.

they both kinda tend to get into fights. there’s a similarly peaceful vampire family in town who just thinks they’re ~so much better~ than them, and it even pisses SAM off and he’s like a walking talking marshmallow cookie.

sam actually has like a secret aggressive streak just bc he’s very defensive over his family and friends. listen i know he sounds like a mary sue shut up shut up shut u—

sometimes cas gives jody piggyback rides if she asks nicely. he pretends to be super annoyed by it but he likes the opportunity to use his super strength every once in a while. sam is also very easily persuaded if jody asks nicely, but usually she is asking him to pick up dean just to piss him off.

i think it’s very funny how dean and cas are like the Intellectuals and they’ll talk about politics and current events and social justice and jody and sam are the Artists and will interrupt them to be like “look we broke two skateboards in half and then stuck them together in a plus sign shape to make the Mega Skateboard” and then jody tries it out in the driveway and then they have to drive to the hospital. huzzah

SUMMARY! you catch your boyfriend cheating and lying.

WARNINGS! smoking, drinking, like one swear word, cheating, manipulation

"You know im always here for you, just like you are for me."

Your mind recalled things like this, the words that your boyfriend would reassure you with. He loved you and you loved him dearly, a pair that was always believed to last.

"She's just a friend baby, you know that you're the most beautiful girl in my eyes," your boyfriend would say, smiling cat-like at you like he always does. You smiled, his words lasting in your mind as he pulled you into a kiss. "I love you," he said.

"I love you too," you giggled. You felt whole with him, like he was your other half. You helped him through everything and anything, watching his confidence grow slowly made you feel like you could grow in the same way too. But with growth came changes, and Tendou grew in ways you hadn't expected.

He became more social, more open and fun, life of the party. You were happy, he felt better, his part no long affecting his outlook on life. What better feeling than your loved one growing out of the darkest place in their life.

"Im going out babe!" Your boyfriend called, pushing Semi out the front door, leaving you in your empty apartment. The door slammed shut and you heard Tendous loud, playful banter through the front window.

Again? He went out again?

You started to miss him, you wanted his attention, his touch. You wanted to go out with him, party with the one you loved, smiling and laughing over loud music. To be drinking whatever alcoholic drink he came home drunk after drinking every time.

You called Shirabu, the phone ringing, ringing, ringing, ringing, rin–

"Hello?" He answered. "Hey shirabu, where's the party at tonight?" You asked, slipping on a simple out fit, jeans and a tight fit shirt. You wanted to be included, so you were. He gave you the address and you bid farewell, and exiting your home.

Was this right? You climbed into the drivers seat of your car, starting it. Is this intruding? Tendou didnt tell me– didnt even ask you to come? You pulled out of the driveway, and head to the address that your friend had sent to you. So why were you doing this?

Your grip on the steering wheel had your knuckles going white, biting your lip so hard you could draw blood. Upon arrival, first thing you notice are some people chilling on the front porch, loud music pouring from the open windows.

You entered the house and immediately was hit with the smell of weed and alcohol. It was a big house, almost filled with how many people were here. People with a group of friends, people sitting alone in corners, and couples.

Couples holding hands, couples dancing, kissing, smiling, laughing, hugging. Couples in love. Happy, happy couples. You shook the thought out and set out to find your boyfriend, which shouldn't be too hard considering how tall he is.

You bumped into Shirabu and Goshiki who were chilling at the top of the stairs, blunt in hand. Goshiki was saying something to Shirabu, the other male blowing smoke when he noticed you. "Y/n," he said and you smiled, wrapping your arms around the two males.

"Hey you two," you said, noticing how silent Goshiki was, taking a hit of his blunt. "Have you two seen Tendou?" You asked, walking past them and Shirabu smacks Goshikis arm. "Nah. Hey, we're about to head out of here if you wanna join us."

"Hm, he should be here, he said he was, even left with Semi." You said and walked to one of the room door, going to open it and felt a hand on your arm. "They aren't here, lets just go," Shirabu says, blowing smoke as you look at him.

"I can atleast check right?" You aske and raise a brow at him. "Why are you acting to iffy, shira?" Your mind stuck to his words. Was Tendou really there? Did he lie? Where was he? Why did he want to lie to you?

"Y/n," Goshiki mumbled, looking down at his knuckles. You turn to the nervous male, worried eyes. "Whats up go?" He bit his lip and looked over at Shirabu and shirabu sighed. "Tendou, he's cheating on you."

What? What did he say? Were you hearing correctly?

You burst into laughter, this must've been a joke. "Goshiki, you're gonna need better acting than that to convince me," you giggled. They weren't laughing. We're you truly laughing either, or were you just scared of the truth.

"Please, y/n, lets just leave." Shirabu said and you looked at them, with shock just disbelief at their words. "Oh, come on guys, you guys can stop now." Your voice got shakey, you felt your chest tighten and a sick tumbling in your stomach.

"Hey," goshiki said and cupped your cheek wiping– tears? Since when were you crying? why were you crying, it was just a sick prank. Sick prank. "Lets get out of here, okay? Please, dont spend your time on him." Shirabu spoke softly as if to calm you.

You pulled away from the two males and turned to the door that Shirabu tried to stop you from going into. You pushed the door open, eyes searching for Tendou. He couldn't be, right? He wouldn't cheat on you? He loves you?

"You know that you're the most beautiful girl in my eyes," Tendou spoke to a girl, stranger in his lap, blowing smoke. Everyone was suddenly aware of your presence, staring at you. You must've looked pathetic, standing there crying.

Tendou pushed the girl off his lap and stood up. "Baby, what are you doing here?" He asked, his face evident with guilt which he tried hard to hide. You almost believed him, the use of the petname and the look he gave you, but the faces of all the other guys in the room told differently.

Your heart beat picked up, you felt dizzy, sick, nauseous, was the room spinning, you felt numb. "Baby, hey come here," Tendou reached out for you and you were hesitant. He loves you, he loves you, he loves you, he loved you?

Before you could decline or accept his hand, Shirabu stepped in, landing a harsh punch to tendous jaw. Goshiki was quick to pull you away from the scene and hold you into his chest. What was happening? Whats going on? You wanted to forget. Forget forget forget.

"You guys make me sick," Shirabu spat at his old team, slamming the door and turning to you. He grabbed your wrist and dragged you through the house, down the stairs, outside the house, goshiki trailing after us closely. "Some fucking boyfriend he is," he muttered under his breath.

You were the most beautiful girl to him, werent you? He loved you right? After spending those years with him, helping him heal, always being by his side. He opened up to you, let you spend your time fixing and healing him.

which upset your mom a good bit, you had to help her through that episode. lots of sitting on the couch and eating ice cream together talking about how he wasn’t worth her time even tho you missed him too

but he came back! and then your mom sent everything flying bc she had an “infinity stone” inside her and thor took you two to asgard

after several events that count as child endangerment, this chapter came to an end and your mom and thor finally made it official

loki called you a rodent and then saved your life so you were kinda iffy about him

about a year or two later, your mom had to travel a great deal in order to get some work done, so you were left in the care of thor, who took you to avengers tower

“oh, my girlfriend’s child is an angel! and they’re so intelligent, just like their mother!” -thor gushing to other partygoers

“yeah, thor, your ‘angel’ is sneaking drinks from the elderly” -tony

you did have an amazing time interacting with the avengers

and once they tried grabbing the hammer, you knew you had to get in on it (but you failed like the rest)

Just to any mods in general: When designing a character do you go through many design changes before settling on a final design?

I'll put it under a cut since it's kinda long.

Ellis:

not rlly tbh , tha only one's who'v rlly gone thru any sort of design changes was alien , tyrant , teen , an horror (an even then most were 4 sake of convenience/amplifying their characteristics y'kno ?)

4 example:

- while alien may hav gotten a new Frill around his neck now , he also used 2 b able 2 split his mouth all tha way down 2 his abdomen . not sure y i had that but i don't now

- horror's monster form design was a Lot different from how it was back then (never posted it publicly tho) . biggest difference was that he had eyes and a nose !!! an also chains on his wrists an ankles

- tyrant had a Lot mor scars , altho they were simplified 4 convenience sake . him being blind in one eye was ALSO not a thing originally ! ended up adding it bc ,,,, idk lol thought it looked neat

- i jus made teen look mor liek a ,,,, well a Teenager . fuckers sixteen now he can b a little edgy as a treat <3 also unrelated but fun fact he has three parents ! i forgot 2 include one of them when teen reveals who stars parents r whoops

usually when i have an idea for character design i make a few sketches on paper to see what i like. ive usually talked about personality, characteristics, backstory etc beforehand so i have a vague idea of what i want it to look like!

-OWA's design changed a lot, more specifically his outfit and its colors. He used to wear a jacket until I decided that he probably wouldn't enjoy the restrictive movement that comes w it, and also drawing his scars seems cooler to me than just a normal jacket.

-Burnt Toast was going to originally be humanoid before the final design! He was going to have only one eye and a lower jaw, and he would wear a mask around people he didn't trust. After changing his story slightly, he ended up being the giant time noodle seen today :]

-Lizard RHM was actually very tricky at first. I knew I wanted him to be a lizard, but it was very difficult to decide how humanoid he would be, what his color scheme would be, what kind of lizard he would resemble, etc. Orange and spikey stuck out to me the most! im a sucker for orange. i love orangh

i kind of just accidentally make design changes over time and go "oh i guess this is how i draw them now lol!!"

the most common thing for me to do is to make hair fluffier over time or make the character shorter by accident

Bliss:

I tend to stick fairly closely to the original design (in Alex's case, I have not changed anything about them, but that's just because I got attached to the silly), but more often change the character's personality over time (Alex went from someone barely making ends meet and working paycheck to paycheck to a popular YouTuber because of a joke AU I made).

There's an example and exception contained in one OC of mine, who went over a huge personality overhaul (went from sad to thembo) and also had a lot of his features changed as a result of him actually being given an ethnicity (he didn't have one before), after which I changed his features accordingly.

I'll also change a physical design if the old design has bad memories attached to it (I recently redesigned a character because his outfit was created by my abuser).

Milkyway:

Personally, I haven't really changed anything much design wise for my aus (except for my modsona she got a redesign recently). Triple Treat really only had this one rather dark joke I have since tossed aside I guess. However, how an au of mine did go through a bit of a change... Kid!

Initially, Kid was meant to be a rather shy and quiet child. He didn't really talk with people or other kids at his daycare, his only friends being his toys. Mama V also wasn't part of the initial concept, coming from a suggestion that one of the other mods had

As you can tell, Kid has perked up quite a bit. He's a LOT more friendly and cheerful, and a lot more... Peculiar to say the least, with some of the things he's able to so ;)

Well, I guess there's also a lot of the ideas I had for Reaper! I just, haven't really been able to implement them.

first off i have no idea how anyone saw the scene where murray lists off their defaults and read it as nancy liking jonathan but not wanting to act on it because???????? he's what poor? weird? it literally screams lesbian no matter how you turn it "you're afraid of being your true self" dating another guy will help her be her true self now??? "you're retreating into the safety of steve" genuinely this is lesbian with comphet esp when he adds "we like steve but we dont love steve" saying youre with a guy you like but you dont have romantic feelings for him (or any guy bc youre a lesbian)

the show is textually telling us "hey so nancy is simply dating this popular boy every girl would have a crush on because its easy and safe and she is afraid to be her true self" and we're NOT supposed to read that as "nancy is a lesbian with comphet"????? like i see no other way to read it

i'll pass on what he says 2 jonathan cause like. whatever we all have trust issues but heres the thing the scene later when they kiss is absolutely not romantic and heres why: we see them muttering to themselves the things murray told them and clearly being upset about it "me? retreating? i dont retreat" and both of them get out of their room determined and they both kiss (and then have sex ig) to prove a point!! to murray and to themselves!!!! nancy to prove to herself that shes not a lesbian and because she took offence to murray saying that basically she was scared and jonathan because murray said that he had trust issues and everyone knows that having sex w someone means you dont have trust issues

coming back to nancy i cant help but drawing a parallel to the scene when she has sex w steve in season 1 because its weirdly similar even if they try to frame it differently. barb tells her that shes playing a part and not being herself cause she dates steve and nancy decides to have sex w him and now murray tells her shes playing a part and not being herself because she dates steve and nancy decides to have sex with jonathan. weird how when people point out that shes afraid of what she really is she tries to conter that by having sex with a man weird how that works

and now onto! j*ncy season 3

god i dont even know where to begin. they dont like each other!! they really dont! and not in that fun playful way of hey we're bantering but we're not really mad they genuinely dont have a good time around each other its insane like look at the scenes steve and nancy have together when theyre dating and how they play off each other and steve kisses her and spins her around and "i missed you -its been an hour -tell me about it" and now look at jonathan "i had a late night with fagin and the gang" byers and how hes annoyed everytime shes dragging him into some investigation and how they dont listen to each other and nancy bursts into the darkroom and gets them fired even tho jonathan is poor and needs the money and when he tells her that she dismisses him because she doesnt understand!!!!!

and i think thats what it really boils down to: they dont understand each other and most importantly they dont try to. when jonathan apologizes for idk not believing in sexism does nancy apologizes for retiring a valuable source of income from him?? no she doesnt and shes framed as being right..... bro.... im not trying to undermine misogyny and how she was treated at her job but they were both wrong and both right i think but they didnt properly talk and listen and tried to understand the other's point of view

i took a nice hot bath, had a strawberry kiwi capri-sun, and did a nice face mask and i’m feeling pretty good - so, y’know what anon? let’s talk about it. 

for anyone who likes taz grad who sees this post: it’ll be tagged with “taz grad hate” (although i feel hate is definitely a very strong word - it’s for the simplicity of tagging it) - so please block the tag if you don’t want to see this post (especially because i put a readmore on a post before and it didn’t show up on mobile and instead gave the full post). mobile tumblr has a tag blocking system, so please feel free to use it! i don’t mind haha

anyway, so this is... probably going to be a lost post, and i wanna go ahead and preface it: this absolutely isn’t any hate on the mcelroys themselves. i love the brothers and their dad a lot, and while i doubt any of them would ever see this (or have it sent to them, or shown to them, because im pretty sure they try to distance themselves from this sort of thing), i just want to make it clear that criticizing a product is different than bashing a person. which brings me to the point of if i do end up sounding as if im bashing someone - please call me out on it! it’s not my intention to target anyone.

with that said, let’s talk about this campaign.

so my problems are as thus: the railroading, the shipping (a fandom problem, but it’s present in the podcast), the NPCs, and some misc problems others have addressed better than i have.

which. i know. that’s basically the entire podcast. (i promise i’ll bring up some positive points to balance it all out). keep in mind i’ve only personally listened to... what, six episodes? and it was enough for me to drop it. some people dropped it first ep, some dropped it ep four, and others are still forcing themselves to listen.

the railroading

there was a time i could handle travis and his railroading [making sure the story goes exactly the way he has planned], because it was the very beginning of the podcast and that’s what you can kind of expect from a plot-heavy podcast. hell, i wouldn’t mind it if the interactions and goofs weren’t a huge part of why i listen to TAZ in particular (which, by the way, is why amnesty still stuck out to me - even if there was a direction griffin wanted to push them towards, the interactions between the players (or players and npcs) made up for any railroading). it’s kind of hard to not railroad a little when it’s story-heavy and you’re trying to built up a world that you’ve put a lot of thought into. however, a huge part of d&d is the spontaneity. 

it’s kind of why i think balance was so popular. while there was railroading towards the end, there was the presence of improv that made it all good. most mcelroy content is enjoyed because of the goofs. the magic brian moment is memorable. the jenkin’s fight still stands out because it was funny (albeit a result of some bad rolls). the boys teasing angus sticks out because the four would play well off of each other. even without that - griffin had talked about how he had to roll with things (the fact he had planned for a fight atop the train, but ditched the idea for what his family members came up with instead). even in amnesty, a couple moments that stick out to me still are ned with the jetpack taking out a pizza hut sign, and the scene with the water where jake was trapped inside. they aren’t as fun, but they still stand out as “things i didnt expect to really end the way they did.”

with grad, it’s just. one after another. the thundermen want to subpoena a xorn? cool, let’s run with that until actually the xorn gets fed rocks and goes home and who cares about the subpoena now. fitzroy wants to keep his cloak? lets talk about it for a while and you also get no rolls to even try to keep it. fitzroy goes to meet higglemas in his office? oh, why are you here fitzroy? im going to keep asking you until you answer fitzroy? you arent getting out of this scene until you answer me, fitzroy, so just tell me why you’re here already, alright, fitzroy? 

and even later in a episode i read a transcript of: hey argo, remember how you have this whole secret motivation? fuck you, im gonna talk about it here in your dream and reveal it to listeners and remove any tension you had building up, and you dont get a choice to talk about it because this all-knowing villain knows all about it :)

and even NOW in the latest episode, there’s a comment that “we should cap argo’s skills here” instead of just... making the checks higher. rogues are good at certain things and usually arent the best in battles. better hope argo never makes it to level 11, because who knows how people are gonna handle the fact that he gets a skill that’ll make it so certain skills can’t have a roll below 10 (reliable talent). 

(griffin, thankfully, calls travis out for that, but still - travis, why would you even imply that, considering you should be aware of how rogues work considering magnus multiclassed into rogue and you played one on tiny heist?)

and in the newest episode, their Big Bad chaos (which, god, i personally hate that name) straight-out says “dont do this” to the thundermen. travis tries to say, on twitter, “a character saying “dont do this” is different than me saying it” but i need to point out that it’s one thing if you’ve said “no” in character but worked with the PCs doing otherwise, but the railroading says differently.

the shipping

ill try to make this quick, because it’s nothing to do with the fandom (ship however you want, man) - but i really feel the need to draw attention to this.

fitzroy, as confirmed by griffin in a ttazz episode, is asexual. not aroace, but ace nonetheless. and i find it... troublesome that the idea of rainer and fitzroy having a relationship is still pushed nonetheless, despite the fact that fitzroy (to my knowledge) was never once shown to reciprocate any feelings. not to be that person, but i really hope that grad doesnt have any sort of romantic relationships in it (at least - not between NPCs and PCs unless they’re actually like... warranted?). 

i dont know, man. one of my closest friends is ace, and i know she wants a relationship, but i think it would reassure her a lot to see an ace character who isn’t pushed into one in case she ever changes her mind. someone once mentioned that they hope fi/tz/ra/in doesnt happen because theres relationships that have that “oh, you can just date” and it goes upwards there to “oh, you can have sex just to please them <3″  (which, to be honest, is kind of a gross mindset - if someone isnt interested, they arent interested).

also, uh, the TTAZZ where griffin states this, there’s kind of the mention tht the whole sexuality question was posed in relation to the episode “creative thinking” (the dream one i mentioned earlier) - which. uh. i don’t know if anyone caught this, but... rainer straight-up wrote fitzroy a letter in the dream like “are you going to accept my proposal? a girl doesn’t like to be left waiting” which. leaves me with some gross feelings because uh.

if... if the whole thing about fitzroys sexual orientation was addressed here, then why would you push your ship anyway? feels kinda iffy, man.

to which i want to say: fitzroy can date. he’s allowed to date. griffins allowed to do whatever he wants with his character. but when a lot of the flirting is met with nothing, i’m not gonna see the chemistry there. just because travis ships it doesn’t mean it’s canon.

the npcs

ah yes. lets talk about the npcs.

there’s... a lot. a lot a lot. i think travis trimmed down how many were present in a scene, but uh. there’s still a lot. and... uh... i kinda wish there wasn’t?

look, i know im going back to balance/amnesty, but just. hang in there for a moment. chill with me. vibe. 

balance didnt have too many NPCs present at all times in each mini-arc. gerblins had some big names like barry, klarg, gundren, killian, yeemick, and magic brian. rockport limited had angus, jess, graham the juicy wizard jenkins, and all of the tom bodetts mentioned. 

amnestys first arc had mama, barclay, jake, dani, pigeon, kirby, minerva, and that was about it for like. big names? and not all of them were present in each scene. 

in the first episode of grad alone: gary, hernandez, jimson, rolandus, zana, rhodes, buckminster eden, rainer, leon, tomas, hieronymous, higglemas, stuart, jackle, bartholomeus, mulligan, groundsy, germaine/victoria/rattles (the skeleton crew). and those are the ones i wrote down (minus groundsy, who i just. ignores. idk him).

like holy shit, my english prof got onto me for having too many characters in my first chapter and i didnt even have half the amount listed there! 

it’s just a huge cast. does this take place in a school? yes! theres bound to be a lot of students present - but you don’t have to name every single one of them, at least not in the first episode!

the miscellaneous

i don’t know if travis ever actually addressed it, but wheelchair users have actually like... said that rainer’s introduction bothered them, because she was like “please ask me abt my wheelchair :)” when travis saying she was in an ornate chair would have sufficed. 

uh. the colonization vibes people have discussed within the centaur arc. mentioned here, the replies here, and this post (and its replies) here as well.

the overall lack of d&d when the campaign was kind of advertised as a return to d&d if i remember correctly

also no one seems to be taking literally any criticism at all which like. ignoring the petty shit, sure, but people have stopped donating to taz and their listener-ship must have dropped some during this entire time - you’d think that maybe someone could say “we need to find out why people dont like the thing and fix the thing” consider this is. yknow. their livelihood.

anyway uhhh 

tl;dr: travis railroads way too much (even now), the shipping in-game has become pushy and gross (especially bc its shoving a relationship onto an asexual character), theres too many npcs that dont stand out well enough, and no ones taking any criticism about the major issues with grad.

well, I think all organized religion is bad so theres that.

 a lot of people say “jeff the killer was 13 in his story, but you cant draw him as 13 bc it was written in x year and hes a human so he ages, so hes 30 now and you have to portray him that way” and I think that's really stupid because hes a fictional character. hes not real, no other fandom goes by that rules, idk why people are treating him like a real person? like, if you took a character from a show in the 80s that doesn't mean the character is now 40 years older than they were in the original work, because theyre just a character and the characters don't age in real time bc theyre not real. you can make content that takes place before, during, right after, or years after his initial story, you don't need to portray him as he would be if he was a real person in todays time. I've seen people attack young artists and generally being really aggressive about this and I don't get it

The Morgans have a long, complicated history. Margaret and Callum meet near the end of college (she’s studying English, he lives in town) and fall rapidly in love. The only problem? Margaret’s engaged to her high school sweetheart. When Margaret ends up pregnant, she pretends like it’s her fiancee’s and has a shotgun wedding. Callum goes off to join the army and pretend like his heart wasn’t just shattered in two.

Years pass - Margaret gets her PhD in English and has another kid (this time with her actual husband). Callum leaves the army, gets married too (and widowed a few years later), has some kids of his own. But then they run into each other at a bar in a city far away from the last one they were in together, and it’s like nothing ever changed.

The two get married almost immediately after the divorce papers are signed, and have two more kids almost immediately after that. Margaret becomes an English professor, and Callum’s content with taking care of the gaggle of children their blended family has produced. 

Five years after the last set of kids, Ainsley and her brother Tristan are born. They’re just as unplanned as their eldest sister was, but no less loved. 

They quickly become the apple of the entire family’s eye, doted upon by their army of older siblings. The twins are late to walking, so they get taken to the pediatrician, who says that they’re so used to being carried everywhere by their family that they haven’t felt the need to walk yet. They’re set down more often, and quickly catch up to be able to run after their brothers and sisters.

Ainsley and Tristan are attached at the hip. Despite the attention from the rest of their family, the two maintain that specific bond only twins can. They make up a language that only they can understand, and throw tantrums whenever they’re out of eyesight of each other. 

They’re happy kids, bright and bubbly. And loud. The house is always filled with screams and laughter. It’s an idealistic life, a perfect family.

DEATH TW // There’s an accident when the twins are nearly five. Nobody knows what happened - they swear they were watching the kids splashing in the lake - but suddenly, Tristan’s gone. His body is found in the water later that day. // END TW

GRIEF TW // Ainsley’s too young to understand what’s going on when they bury him. She gets quiet and shy, a once bubbly little girl drawing in on herself. All she knows is that her best friend is gone, and now there’s nobody to actually talk to.

They move soon after, to a town called Lovell, when Margaret gets a job at the local university. It’s something the family needs, after Tristan, and they hope that the change will help Ainsley open back up again.

She doesn’t, not for a while. She’s thrust into kindergarten, in a new town without her twin there to keep her grounded. Her teachers worry about her social skills - she seems to prefer painting or doodling to playing on the playground with her classmates. But slowly, surely, she starts opening up again as Lovell becomes home. // END TW

The Morgans decide that they like Lovell, and that they’re going to stay. They buy a nice house in a quiet neighborhood, with big trees for the kids to climb on. Ainsley breaks her leg falling out of one when she’s seven (she still has the scar on her knee from where a branch snagged). 

As the kids get older and start moving out of the house, Callum decides he needs a project. He’s always loved cooking and restaurants. So he decides to buy one. Calls it the Main Street Diner (not very creative, but it tells you right where it is!), and starts really integrating himself into the Lovell community.

Ainsley spends nearly every afternoon there, sitting at the corner of the counter after school. Her siblings are old enough to babysit, but they’ve hit their moody teenage phase, and Ainsley wants nothing to do with it. Her mom’s either teaching or grading papers or reading, and that’s boring to a nine-year-old. So diner it is.

She spends most of her time at the counter drawing or painting. Each one is proudly displayed on the wall, marking her progress over time. 

Sometimes she helps with little tasks, like sorting silverware or wiping down tables. Eventually, when she hits high school, she graduates to waiting tables to make some money of her own.

When it comes time to think about college, Ainsley decides she wants to go as far away from Lovell as possible. She knows everything and everyone in town - even some of the Radcliffe students who frequent the diner. Ainsley wants something new and interesting. 

She looks at schools in California, eventually gets accepted to UCLA. Ainsley packs her bags and flies across the country. She learns to miss the comforts of home, but enjoys the independence being on the other side of the continent gives her.

CANCER TW // Halfway through her first year at UCLA, Ainsley gets a call from her mom. Dad’s sick, she says. Cancer. 

Ainsley drops everything and moves back home. She takes a semester off of school to help take care of her dad while her mom continues teaching. He gets better, goes into remission, but there’s still the lingering fear that it’ll come back, that it’ll be worse, that she’ll lose him too. // CANCER TW

So she decides to transfer to Radcliffe. It’s local, in case anything happens, but she can still live in the dorms to keep some semblance of independence. And she gets to go for essentially free. She starts working at the diner again, to keep an eye on her dad, though she claims it’s just to make money. It’s a good set-up, for now.

Ainsley is super artistic. Literally constantly drawing or writing or doing something creative. There’s usually paint somewhere on her clothes, regardless of how new the clothing is.

Also has this Thing against making her hobby her career, which is why she’s a computer sciences major rather than an arts major. She grew up watching her mom and dad turn their passions into their jobs, which seemed stressful and like it took some of the fun out of it. So she said no thanks.

She still really enjoys computers and coding - mainly web design. Hopes to become a full-time web designer after college, while throwing in some of the graphic design portions of web designing to sprinkle some of the artsy aspects of her personality.

Despite being a computer sciences major and pretty good with technology, she definitely prefers going analog in most of her life. Writes everything down rather than typing it into her phone or laptop, and goes through a million journals (also owns a million more blank ones).

This bitch definitely bullet journals.

Is a fairly organized person, but her room? An absolute mess. Ainsley says it’s an aesthetic mess (it’s not).

The only part she takes care of is the collection of plants on her windowsill. One of her notebooks is dedicated to their care schedule, and notes on how they’re doing.

Her bag is basically Mary Poppins’ tote, but make it a beat-up Fjallraven she bought during a 50% off sale three years ago. Has literally anything you could ever need in it. Paper, pens, snacks, water, first aid kit, you name it. Need some superglue or a needle and thread? Ask Ainsley.

Is simultaneously super indecisive and super stubborn. Will take a thousand years to decide on something, but once she’s picked it, she’s stuck on it. 

Will die on any hill she feels remotely attached to.

That being said, she’s not a super aggressive person. Is actually pretty calm, still quieter than she was before Tristan. The human equivalent of a warm blanket.

Also super gay. So so gay.

okie dokie so first things .. prince’s Look is in the gif i used bc im whipped for wooyoung in these glasses and his hair is a cute lil newly dyed shade of lilac purple so i love that for him .. an intellectual and a cutie .. he hates explaining how he was named prince bc i imagine his parents struggled having a kid so when his mom became Pregnant and was giving birth .. they always fondly called him their lil prince and it kinda just stuck when prince popped out !!

prince was born and raised in ansan , south korea for a good four years of his life where his mom was a tax accountant who moved from busan and his dad was a marine biologist in the korea institute of ocean science and technology , they loved one another v much and managed to juggle their respective careers with their relationship before prince came along

eventually his mom got heH $$$$ a good job offer in new york city so his dad stayed at home following their move to take care of the house and whatnot until he managed to finesse himself another job as a fish biologist for the department of the interior / u.s wildlife service or w/e the official job title is

bc living in the city is uHHH expensive as h*ck and ny state taxes are whack , they find themselves in gristol bc at the time it’s a cute lol seaside town that his parents fell in love w and thought it was good to raise prince and their other kids

prince was always a fun loving kid when he was younger , always joking around and smiling and got along w people well flexed w those dimples and got away with a lot of shit when he was growing up fkdfsskl swindled a lot of extra tips from restless married women when he had a job delivering pizza’s for $$ during high school . peter parker who ?? prince can’t relate bc he was always on time and made that solid tip .. except when he realized he hated pizza delivery and got a job as a barista during high school and it’s what he does still for that $$ while he;s in school !!

academically prince was brilliant and was in the top 5 of his graduating class and it was his stupid grade in his elective art class that brought his gpa down bc he can’t draw anything to save his ass fndsj .. any stem subject and he’s golden but anything creative based and prince is not as thriving .. but put a math problem in front of him and he can solve it within a moment .. probably does a side gig during tax season to help ppl out filing their taxes and makes some $$ while doing so jfhdslk

but yeah for college prince attends baruch college where i s2g he has no sense of what’s fun or self preservation bc goes as a double major for chemistry and biology so keep prince in ur prayers at this point bc dude is gonna be running on his anxiety and caffeine at this point and he still is until he graduates next year

at this point prince is juggling some ideas of what he wants to do later on as a career path and then one night he’s pulling an all nighter he stumbles across the show forensic files and a bitch is shook and hooked on it ,, this beginning prince’s fascinating w true crime along with solving them

he figures in john mulaney’s ever lovely words “ he has the backbone of a chocolate eclair” so prince knows he wouldn’t do well as a police detective , so he figures forensic anthropology is the next best step even though he’d mainly around dead ppl’s bones a lot of the time but it’s ok

yeah mans flexes w the education and plans to go on and get his phd in biological anthropology at binghamton university in new york where he plans to spend the next seven years earning his phd so flex !! rip his mental stability bc it’s gonna be hanging on a thread at this point

overall  , personality wise prince is v kind , v loving and compassionate and is dedicated to those he values . 10/10 is the dad friend who makes shit jokes and probably rambles on about how cool his major is bc he loves it so much )): even though it’s kinda out there compared to everyone else he loves it and enjoys talking about it whenever he can !! just a v sweet boy who’s softspoken and can be a bit rambly but when he smile he lights up a room bc he wears his heart on his sleeve and now im emo bye

one of the less ideal things about prince though is that he’s v obliging and often just wants to believe ppl and can be a bit naive , just especially when ppl are taking advantage of him ): he just wants to help ppl and see the good in everyone so he’d be that friend u have to yell at to stop being so giving to others bc it’s to a fault

FELLAS i decided I’m doing colress and n too bc I have a lot of fun ideas & all three of their redesigns go hand in hand hehe !!. but for the sake of not making a post that’s 85 miles long I’m doing separate posts for thems. also I stuck to only redesigning ghetsis’ bw2 outfit because it already succt the life out of me to redesign one whole ghetsis I can’t do another one

I was too lazy to draw a closeup but he has a scar running up and down the right side of his face & a split upper lip from where it intersects with his mouth because gamefreak where some bitches for not giving him cool battle scars

a fav aspect of bw2 ghetsis is how much pressure hes under and how he handles it with his instabilities. so his design reflects that somewhat by havin extra sunken raccoon eyes and wild & fluffy split ended hair . wake up hustlers let’s get this bread no days off I guess. 

I’ve always LOVED the medieval theme plasma had in bw1 , so I was a little sad when neo plasma drifted away from it .. so I based his look off a scary mage or a wizard . ghetsis is not done larping yet 

((another thing ive always thought was clever was aligning plasma to a chess motif (the black and white theme even fits!). so ghetsis is very loosely based off the king piece, and just a king in general. like hes rlly going for this ruler of unova thing okay wig))

his cane is now a big gandalf staff & its all bent and shitty at the bottom because he slams it into the ground so much (& also has arceus symbolism because i love arceus and i said so)

that clunky armor of his is hundreds of years old and part of a suit that one of his ancestors wore. It’s even complete with a badass hydreigon’s head style gautlet that colress modified to be a robotic prosthetic for him :,)

the way ghetsis hides his face menacingly is so important to me but I always thought his cone of shame looked goofy,, so he gets a scary sith lord hood instead. his cloak is also more of a toga or a cape that he wraps around his shoulders.. to replace his snuggie he has a security blanket :-)

speaking of his cloak chief .... ima be real with you, peta was onto something with that one flash game. u know the one. so his cloak pattern is a nod to that with the various adorable pokemon pelts sewn into it complete with expressions of frozen agony. see if you can identify a familiar face in there.........

((i also played around with the idea of making his cane a sword instead but u know hes too old and crusty to actually swordfight without throwing his back out))

in conclusion neo ghetsis is a skeleton warlock who probably casts fireball spells w his staff & crazy shit like that. very regal very refined but also severely needs his xanax. a friend told me i made him look like a sexy barbarian king that poses on a rock with a beautiful woman clutching his leg and im really sorry if thats true because he doesn’t deserve it
