EDIT: so I started writing this like a week ago, but honestly the finale killed any desire in me to interact with this show in a fannish way. So have these half assed notes. I think it's obvious where I lost steam. These ideas are free for use for anyone who wants them in fic, have at you. As it is, I don't think I'll interact with this show as a fan any further than this.

How I would write a Loki show in bullet points (and a mishmash of short scenes and dialogue, let's be honest) for my sanity!

Presuming some disney exec came down from on high and forced the inclusion of EG!Loki and the TVA (because otherwise it'd be IW!Loki that survived and it'd be all about him finding his best life away from Earth, Asgard, Thor and the whole Thanos/EG situation. Or if I only had to include the TVA, it'd be IW!Loki dealing with the TVA, not EG!Loki):

Fair warning: this will likely be a mess since I'm not entirely motivated to not have it be so. 

[cut for length]

Ep1:

- Loki escapes to Nidavelir and uses the tools there to get rid of the chains and muzzle. A CONTROLLED use of the Tesseract, thankyouverymuch

- the TVA comes for him and Loki is wary and on the alert, exhausted from the whole Avengers thing so he immediately makes a clone to interact with the TVA and observes from afar

- the TVA fall for it when they try to bitchslap him like in the show, but immediately regroup when it goes through the illusion and start a search pattern. Their tech can scan for his temporal aura and they close in on Loki quickly (show the TVA as at least somewhat competent or they're shit antagonists for Loki)

- Loki, who still has hold of the Tesseract, portals out of there

- what follows is a quick chase scene across multiple planets and realms, but the TVA are always on his heels. The longest time they take to find him is during an ongoing apocalypse on a random planet that's enough for Loki to get a quick breather. but you know, disaster's on the horizon, so he has to leave eventually. but this is the first clue both we as an audience and Loki get about potential hiding places.

- when an exhausted Loki finally turns to fight, he manages to take several minutemen out  (justifying B-15's hate on for him) before one of them gets in a lucky shot and freezes him

- "Who are you people?" [short flash of Loki's eyes flashing green and the entire scene getting a strange cast, floating energy swirling around everything. It's beautiful, but the TVA people's energy is out of sync, out of touch and strangely jagged compared to their surroundings]

- they slap the collar on him and march him into the TVA

- Loki immediately tries to pull the same illusion trick but it doesn't work cause no magic in the TVA (maybe some visual indication of what he's trying to do, but it doesn't go past his skin. You know, like Sylvie managed in ep 3 -.-)

- he doesn't wildly panic, but we see his breathing speed up and he immediately looks at his left hand and relaxes when he sees it isn't turning blue. 

- okay so the TVA have caught him, he's on their shit list, no magic, exhausted, no idea what's going on, who these people are or how powerful they are - he chooses to play nice for now and bide his time

- the whole intake process is spent in quiet observation mode, only speaking when spoken to

- discomfort at being out of his clothes, but maybe only a wry joke about them wanting to strip him naked (making him a participant in all the thirst jokes)

- he doesn't ask if a lot of people don't know they're robots like a child wanting validation and he's not visibly afraid. Instead, we see him look at his hand again and try for wry humor when asking. But he steps into the device without much hesitation. It's death vs certainty and we already know he's chosen death once before.

- the propaganda cartoon is much shorter and plays in the background so we can see Loki's incredulous eyebrow raise at it. the ticket thing gets an eyeroll, but ready compliance since it's not worth it to argue

- when he sees the other guy get "pruned", he immediately reaches for the ticket to reassure himself it's there, but doesn't wave it around triumphantly, just sighs in relief

- trial can stay mostly unchanged, just no stupid magic attempt in the middle

"It's not your story, Mr. Laufeyson, it never was" (AND THIS SHALL BE PROVEN FALSE, you know, unlike in the show where it turned out to be their fucking mission statement) also, Loki gives her murder eyes for calling him that

- in fact, instead of trying magic, Loki holds up the controller he stole from  B-15 as she was escorting him to the trial and waves as he disappears through a door backwards

After that scene is the church scene with bodies, establishing Mobius as a hunter of dangerous variants. Someone is killing TVA officers

Mobius gets called back as in canon, but arrives too late to stop our Loki from leaving

Sidenote: Loki still has the tesseract since it was in his pocket dimension during the fight the TVA nabbed him in

Ep 2:

- it's now a few days/weeks later. Loki is back in his own clothes, a simpler outfit not geared for war. He's in the biggest library in the universe, the depository of almost all knowledge, looking for information about the TVA. there is Nothing, suspiciously so

- once again, the TVA shows up and he has to run yet again. maybe he kills this team too, to buy himself more time. he steals a melt stick and more time pads and reset charges

- he needs more information and the only place he'll get it is at the TVA it seems, so he shapeshifts into his female form, dressed as one of the many paperpushers at the TVA and we see her being relieved that the spelled clothing is holding once she passes through the time door

(another aside, but ideally the female form is more like Eva Green or Katie McGrath. AND NOT BLONDE)

- acting like she belongs, Loki effortlessly manages to snoop around the TVA for a few hours

- there's only one close call with C-20, but Loki manages to deflect suspicion by parroting the motto at her, which Loki reads from a nearby propaganda poster (cause Loki is good at lying, manipulation and flying by the seat of their pants)

- eventually, she ends up at the archive area and begins researching. We see that Loki is competent at this and is quick to pick up the filing system. the variant number from the papers she signed the episode before becomes relevant to finding the appropriate files

- before she can dig too deep into her own life story as laid out by these people, just as she finds the Ragnarok Report, Mobius finds her (maybe there was a silent alarm triggered by unauthorized access or something. Slightly more competent TVA)

- there is a scene where Mobius and Loki play a game of chicken and manipulation, wordplay and lying until it becomes clear Mobius knows who Loki is (actually establishing some camaraderie)

- Loki gets a little hoisted by their own petard since they're enjoying the banter so much, the backup Mobius called for catches them a little off guard, collared again

- since info gathering is still the name of the game, Loki doesn't try to get away just yet

(during this entire scene, Mobius is the same offhandedly condescending prick he is in canon, but it's very obviously framed that way)

(also featuring confirmation of the genderfluidity thing because fuck you disney)

M: "Nice disguise. Really had me fooled for a second there."

L: "It's hardly a disguise. I am always myself."

[Loki shifts back to male, though the clothes remain the same (shifting =/= magic)]

M: "Yeah, well, next time you want to go undercover at the TVA, maybe don't choose a face we already have from several other of your variants."

[Loki twitches a little, since that wasn't a form he openly wore a lot (even when he wanted to) cause Asgard is a dick about shifting genders] 

L: "And how does that work exactly?"

M: "Got your entire life on file, buddy. But you know, sometimes Asgard isn't a complete stick in the mud the day you gather enough courage to show up to dinner in a dress. We usually have to prune those timelines quickly."

[Loki's grin is more like a snarl, frozen on his face, since he picks up the implications loud and clear (the implication being that him being too happy is not allowed in the Sacred Timeline)]

M: [picks up the files Loki was looking at] "Come on, I've got something to show you."

-cue time theater scene

-that little scene of looking out at the TVA does not feature Loki being impressed or awed at the TVA's tech. It features him being scared/uneasy because the TVA is completely dead to his senses. Loki's eyes do the same flash as before, but everything is completely dull, no energy anywhere. He can barely see some swirls on his own arms]

-Loki asks why this charade, Mobius tells him the TVA is willing to come to an agreement with Loki for his help

"You're not the only one running around messing up the Sacred Timeline. Come on, job interview time."

(it's really really not)

- Mobius tries the same schtick as before, but it's both less and more effective. Less cause Loki has had a bit more time to collect himself since the invasion, more cause he's more aware of the TVA's power and has been chased by them for a while now

- we see Loki being affected by the Frigga thing BUT he also picks up how edited the reel is

- still, he lets Mobius do the "only thing you're good for" bit until we see him look up with murder in his eyes, even through the tears

- "I am going to burn this place to the ground and I am going to start with you. That is my bargain."

"Yeah, cause your "bargains" [Mobius full on air quotes here] work out so well for you," he says, offering Loki a hand up

-cue alarm and Mobius rushing out

-Loki grabs the files Mobius left behind, and also the tape in the hologram projector and escapes

- no infinity stones scene, cause Loki still has the Tesseract and doesn't go to look for more

- cut to the TVA running around in a panic, multiple branches forming on the displays. It's the same bombing plot as in the show, but now serving as a distraction for Loki to get away

- when they figure this out, Ravonna: "You should have just pruned him when you found him. There's a reason we don't reset Loki variants. Our luck always runs out eventually with them. Fix this, Mobius. Or you'll have to answer to the TimeKeepers."

- back to Loki, he steps out into chaos as something explodes behind him. He's in another apocalypse. During his running from the TVA, he noticed it takes them longer to find him whenever there's a lot of chaos around him, death and destruction. He finds a still intact building, seems high tech. Everyone else has already evacuated

- he takes the Tesseract out and blue and green energy surges around him and engulfs the building. It's suddenly quiet and we see outside the windows are pitch black 

- Loki quickly looks away

"Finally, some peace and quiet."

He slumps down to the floor, files scattered around him, tesseract nearby and curls up, dejected and exhausted 

Side note: Loki doesn't need to worry about recharging tempads since he has the tesseract, which was established in Avengers as able to provide infinite energy

Ep 3:

- he finds out about the variants in this episode, maybe goes looking for other variants before the TVA finds them

-how Loki finds out the TVA are all variants: he'd knocked out B-15 for a bit to interrogate her

-they're found by another team of minutemen, led by B-16, who is wearing B-15's face. Several of the other minutemen we've seen Loki kill in earlier episodes as well. They attack *both* of them cause they assume B-15 is compromised. Loki and B-15 work together and kill the whole lot, staring at each other incredulously

"You're Variants! You're all Variants!"

[B-15 collapses to her knees in shock] 

End episode

EDIT: My basic idea for episodes 4 & 5 were Loki and B-15 working together and travelling through various timelines trying to get to the TimeKeepers, but realizing something was wrong the further they went. Time begins breaking down, paradoxes are all over the place and the TVA keeps pruning some specific place so much that sometimes two teams are on top of each other. Stuff like that. 

I also had a few scenes where Loki meets other variants (that aren't him), but who actually like and even love him. Men, women, variations thereupon, and one or two who would mistake Loki for their Loki. So we get bi confirmation without actually including romance in the show itself, because 6 episodes isn't enough to develop that along with everything else that's going on.

Vaguely outlined here:

Loki: Into who?!

woman lets go of the sword

"You escaped! When Odin took you away, I thought he would kill you. Why did you never come back to me, my love?"

EDIT: My "twist" ending was that the Time Keepers were dead, not that they never existed. Some sort of mcguffin exists to just break the whole TVA and free the timelines. Idk, maybe the TVA was just a test to see if it'd work, but the system just kept perpetuating itself after the power hungry losers kept it going beyond the bounds of the experiment. Either way: 

villain plot twist: the time keepers are long dead. the TVA is a terrible system that perpetuated itself on its own, only a few judges were aware that the timekeepers had ever died. The entire System Has To Go (lol like disney would ever go there)

The system is literally Killing the Universe, since the universe's natural state of being is a multiverse. But the system don't care, system don't give a shit. System only exists to perpetuate itself, system's survival is the most important, catastrophic universal failure need not apply

(this is way too on the nose for disney, but since this rewrite's motto is Fuck Disney, it shall stay)

EDIT: this was how I imagined the climax of the series.

Mobius or Ravonna (i never decided): "All the chaos, all the possibilities? How can you stand the uncertainty? How can you believe the world will be any better than it is now?"

Loki: "Because it has to be!" [smashy smashy TVA]

series ends with the timeline breaking free

we see various scenes of the variants in their former lives, happy

faster and faster, all sorts of different AU scenes until the screen goes dark and we see our Loki, smirking

The Legends of Acrata was something Lena keep hidden in one of her little boxes. But if it was something magical, and magic was in her blood then the legends must be true.

She spent the whole night processing this new magical world. It was as if she was in Neverland, where she always dreamed to be and to never grow up. This would’ve been her life, she would’ve never had to have her life tainted, damaged or corrupted by the Luthors. But because it wasn’t she hated and would never forgiven the Luthors for taking her life from her.

Even jet lagged and without an ounce of sleep, Lena has never been more energetic and relaxed since she was adopted by the Luthors. Her mother, her real mother was at her side and she gained a new sister. Despite not knowing much about a good family relationship, she knew she had found it.

The renounced Luthor had only spent one day in Ireland and already managed to sit down with some peace and quiet with homemade breakfast, learn about her upbringings and have a marvelous Irish Breakfast Blend (tea which is actually Katie’s favorite).

“How did you sleep?” Your mother asked.

“Oh I woke up here and there” you smiled as you passed Lena a slice of bread.

“Not you. I was talking about Lena.”

“She didn’t sleep,” you bluntly stated.

“Oh did I wake you?” Lena asked panicky. “If I did I’m so sorry.”

“No, no it’s not you dear. (Y/n) has the power of possession. If she wants to she can make eye contact with you and possess your body, controlling your movements and speech. But when she’s controlling your body, her body is lifeless. You don’t remember a thing.” Your mother explained as if it was normal.

“Right.” Lena nodded as if that was the correct answer. “But that doesn’t explain how she knew I was awake the whole night.”

“(Y/n) uses a small part of possession to be in your head and communicate with you.”

Lena’s eyes widen at her mind being invaded and opened her mouth to say something about it.

“I assure you it is only to communicate, anything else is a maze you unconsciously built to keep away invaders.” You placed your hand on hers.

“Why do you need to possess a part of my brain to communicate with me? You’re already talking to me.”

You and your mother looked at each other before you hid your face in your food as the red haired woman explained.

“Lena, darling. (Y/n) has to connect to part of your brain because she is mute. Her fathe-”

You stood up abruptly and headed out the door for some fresh air. You did not need to relive you past.

“Her father abused her, as you know. He blamed his wife’s death on her and blamed everything on her actually. The day I found out, I walked into the house after I heard some crash noises. When I walked in she was pinned against the wall by her neck, her left leg dangled sickishly about to fall off her knee, her arms were purple and red mixed with bruises and blood, a couple of ribs protruded out of her side and her eyes had so much terror in them that you could tell she thought it was the end.”

Your mother had to take a breath with her hand on her chest for comfort before she continued the story. Lena held a death grip around her fork and her eyes flickered between emerald green and golden orange.

“Her father hadn’t see me walk in the door. He pulled out a pocket knife and slit open her throat before I could use my magic to push him away. I used the spell wáce ierlic to push him against the wall. He was restrained and I ran to (Y/n) as she was bleeding out on the floor, choking on her own blood.” Your mother cleared her throat to force the rest of the story out. “Now I didn’t know many healing spells and the one I knew was crude, Þurhhæle licsar min, it heats the skin to coagulate the blood and cauterize the wound.”

“What kind of father slits his own daughter’s throat. The Luthors were cruel but they weren’t that cruel,” Lena’s eyebrows fused together as her voice raised in anger by each word.

“(Y/n) made a successful recovery but because the knife had damaged her vocal cords and the extreme heat of my spell, she lost her voice.”

“You gave her a part of your powers?” Lena asked with a frown.

“No, it was a biological experiment done on her father years before she was born. It only appeared when her father got up and almost finished the job of killing her. I saw a clear white silhouette exit her body and into his and that’s when I knew.”

Lena was frozen, she felt her throat dry and her whole body numb. What she imagined was horrid, and she thought she had a bad childhood with Lillian as her mother. Lena’s lip quivered as all the other little boxes exploded. She cried, her mother held her and she felt safe and protected. She cried but it was for you and a part of her wanted to protect you more than she wanted to protect herself.

She wiped her tears with the back of her hand as her mother kissed her head in comfort. Lena was able to compose herself quickly but her eyes said otherwise, she got up with tea and headed to the front porch, where you were at.

“I brought tea,” Lena sat down beside you.

You smiled before you reached out and held the cup of tea. “You don’t look good crying.”

Lena scoffed and noticed your lips never moved. “No one looks good crying unless your eyes glisten and you don’t turn red.”

“Myoui Mina is a good example,” Lena heard as you sipped your tea, the name didn’t ring a bell to her (shout out to anyone who does). Anyways, I’m sure being a Luthor was better than a Thorul. Especially cause you never had to deal with my father.”

“Please, the Luthors were anything but angels. I spent most of my life with a double-consciousness, never truly being myself. You’re lucky you had mom to protect you.” Lena said with slight sarcasm.

“I’m lucky that I had my throat slit open?” You teased and raised you eyebrows.

“Well... no. But as a Luthor I did have several assassination attempts.”

“Are you bragging about being killed?”

“No definitely not,” Lena joked.

The two step sisters spent the rest of the morning with a tour of the city and bonding over the fact that they had crappy families. Mid-day arrived and it was time for Lena’s magical lessons.

Lena went back and forth between National City and Ashford. On the weekdays she was a suit wearing CEO and on the weekend she was a jeans wearing sorceress. It when on like that for 8 months. Lena was a fast learner, and when she wasn’t spending time learning spells from her mother she spent it with you on short adventures or snuggling between the two of you watching movies.

Lena had a long day full of snobby men who desperately needed admiration, power and prestige. L-Corp needed this merger with Spheerical Industries, but with Jack gone it seemed harder than possible. Lena twirled her pen around her pointer and middle finger, annoyed with partnering companies.

She didn’t know how she managed to live through the meeting but she was happy to be able to head to Ireland. She already had a bag packed in her office and all she had to do was call her driver.

She headed to the top floor towards her office. When the door slid open she heard the slight commotion coming from Eve.

“I’m sorry, I can’t understand you.” Eve politely smiled.

A small huff came from you as you began to sign again. Eve only gave you a confused face, so you took the pen out of her hand and wrote on your own.

‘I need to talk to Lena,” it read.

“You can’t see Ms. Luthor unless you have an appointment.”

You looked up at the ceiling with an inaudible groan before you wrote on you hand again.

‘I don’t have an appointment. Please! It’s urgent!’

“I’m sorry, whatever it is, you can’t get in without an appointment. Ms. Luthor is in a meeting. I can get your name and have a look at her schedule to set up a meeting with you.”

You ran your hand through your hair and exhaled.

‘My name is (Y/n)Thorul. When is Ms. Luthor next available?’

“Okay Ms. (Y/n) Thorul, Ms. Luthor will be available in-” Eve typed on her keyboard.

“Ms. Luthor is available right now,” Lena frowned. “Eve? What’s going on here?”

“Ms. Thorul wanted to meet with yo-”

“Let Ms. (Y/n) Thorul in whenever you see her, she is my sister after all.” Lena smiled and led you into her office.

“Hey I wasn’t expecting you here, I was about to fly to Ireland after the meeting.” Lena turned her back on you to pour some whiskey for the two of you. “I couldn’t wait to get out of the meeting. Spheerical Industries took a downward turn, but I’m determined to merge with them. Hey do you remember me telling you about Kara? Since you’re in National City maybe we can meet her before we head home.”

You remained quiet and let Lena ramble, you played with your fingers as your vision blurred. No cries were heard but all you wanted to do was scream. Lena finally turned around and froze. She placed the two glasses down and held you in her arms.

“I’ve got you,” Lena whispered as you cried.

‘Can you get Eve in here?’ You signed.

“Yeah, of course.” Lena opened her office door and called Eve to enter.

“Yes, Ms. Luthor?”

For 8 months Lena never seen you use your ability, and today she finally saw it. When Eve entered the office, she made eye contact with you allowing you to use your abilities. Your eyes turned white and a white silhouette exited your body and went into Eve’s. Your body stayed motionless.

Lena watched in amazement as Eve closed the door.

“Lee, I have to say it in words and not through your head. I know you were on your way to Ireland but I needed to tell you before you got there.”

An ominous feeling rose in Lena stomach and she stepped back in realization.

“Mom.... mom passed away.”

Your body regained consciousness as Eve looked around in confusion. “Ms. Luthor you called?”

“Y-Yes get my private jet, now!”

“Life Imitates Art” A Katie McGrath imagine

When you first read your characters discreption on Supergirl, you thought everyone would hate the character. So it was a huge shock to you that fans liked your character. They even liked you after starting a relationship with Lena Luthor. But little did everyone outside of the cast and your families know, your relationship continued off screen. One day after filiming Katie pulled you aside and asked to join her for dinner. One date was all it took for you and Katie to realize you had feelings for each other. Two years later you two married in a very lowkey ceremony. Even though it was nothing crazy and extravagant the fans still managed to find out and that made Katie very nervous.

“What if they say something? I don’t want to be rude but I also don’t want to talk about what’s ours.” You and your wife were waiting off stage to join the Supergirl panel at Comic-Con.

“You can either answer them or just say you don’t want to talk about it. It’s okay to say no, Katie.”

“I just don’t want to let the fans down. I love them so much and they love me so much. It’s just not-“

“And the wonderful Katie McGrath.” The moderator announced causing everyone to cheer. Katie let out a small sigh before going on stage, taking a seat beside Melissa. Seconds later your name was called and you took a seat beside Katie.

The panel went off without a hitch. All the fans asked questions about how their favorite characters would react in the upcoming season and questions about how you all felt playing your characters. But, your day wasn’t over yet. The Con asked if you, Melissa, Chyler, and Katie could do a small meet and greet for VIPs. You all agreed, considering you didn’t have anything going on that day.

The four of you were taken to a small booth where you talked to fans, took pictures, and signed autographs. A few fans passed by saying how much they loved the character which made you happy. As the line dwindled down you had fans who were more interested in your personal life come through.

“Is it true you and Katie got married?” A blonde teenage girl asked you while you signed a picture for her.

“Uh...yeah it’s true.”

“That’s so sweet! I really love you guys together.”

“Oh...well thank you.” The girl moved on and asked Katie to sign the same photo as you did. While Katie was signing the teenage girl’s picture you were busy signing a little girl’s Supergirl cape. Just as you finished up you heard Katie talking about you.

“Yeah y/n is so great. I’m really a lucky girl. Thank you for being respectful, sweetheart.”

Soon enough you met all the fans and were able to go back to the hotel. Melissa and Chyler decided to stay behind and do a few more interviews, meaning you and Katie could go back to your hotel. The two of you exited through a back door and to the car that was waiting for you. You placed your phone in the pocket of the passenger seat and attached it to a charger since it was about to die. As the car drove past the front of the convention center, fans took pictures of the car which made Katie anxious.

“It’s okay, babe. They can’t see through the tinted windows.” You held her hand which always seemed to calm her down.

“Sorry, I just don’t want them to see too much.”

“It’s okay, babe. You didn’t seem to mind the girl from earlier talking about us.”

“No she was so sweet and nice though. She said how happy she was for us.”

“You know a lot of fans feel that way. There’s only a few that are mad or aren’t happy we’re together. Even then they’re just upset that you won’t end up with whoever they ship you with.”

“What the hell does ‘ship’ mean?” She asked with a very confused look on her face. You couldn’t hold back a laugh.

“It’s what teenagers say when they like two characters together. Like a lot of people ship Kara and Lena.”

“Oh! That doesn’t really make a whole lot of sense but okay.” You brought her hand to your lips and pressed soft kisses across her knuckles. Katie blushed before inching closer to you. Her head rested on your shoulder while still holding your hand.

“Have I ever told you how much I love you, Katherine?”

“A few times, yes. You may have said it at our wedding.” You laughed before placing a kiss on top of your wife’s head.

“I really love you, babe. I don’t care what anyone ever says about us. I love you, you’re all I care about.” Katie lifted her head up and looked at you with puppy dog eyes.

“You have no idea how much I love you, y/n.” Your wife leaned over just a little and kissed your cheek. You expected just one kiss, but you ended up getting so many kisses from your wife. You couldn’t fight the blush that crept across your face and honestly you didn’t want to fight it.

When you arrived at the hotel, you climbed out of the car first. You held the door open for Katie and extended your hand to help her out.

“My hero.” She said as her feet touched the ground. You grinned at your wife before leaning back in the car to grab your phone.

“You and your wife are very cute.” The driver said looking back at you just a little.

“She’s the cute one, I’m just the average looking one.” You exchanged laughs with the driver before joining Katie in the hotel lobby.

“What were you and the driver laughing about?” She asked while entering the elevator. Once the doors were closed she leaned against you again. You snakes an arm around her waist, affectively keeping your wife upright.

“About how cute you are.”

“No you weren’t!”

“Mhm. I told him you were the cute one, I’m just the average looking one in the relationship.”

“Shut up, you’re plenty adorable.”

“Whatever you say, baby.” You exited the elevator, to your suprise holding hands. Once you were in the hotel room, you both changed out of your outfits and into comfy clothes. For the rest of the night, Katie stayed wrapped in your arms.

"I think that's why people have taken it to heart, because in us making it our own, I think people have been taking it for themselves. Yes, it's similar to what you've seen before, but only in its infancy. I think where it is now, it's become something individual and it's become something that is just theirs, and it's just the show's, and it's just the fans', which I think is what makes it compelling and what's made it so popular as a relationship, that it just exists now as its own thing."

i think what she means is the fans don’t give a shit what the show does, and that’s okay?

"I feel pretty good this year because Lena may not know, but Alex has lost her memory and if Alex doesn't know that Supergirl is her sister, then I think it's OK that Lena doesn't know," she says. "When that happened, I was like, this is amazing, it's no longer all on my shoulders. Her own sister still can't tell, so I'm fine now. I'm like walking in and feeling great now, now that I'm not the only one who doesn't know."

"See, this is the thing. You don't have just one person with a loaded gun behind Lena's head. The bullet is the knowledge that Kara is Supergirl, and before, it was Lillian who had that, but now you have Lex, who's even more of an unknown quantity, and he's holding that information, and it's almost the information that will completely destroy Lena. He could pull the trigger anytime, and that's an amazing dramatic point to have in a show of at any time, if that trigger's pulled, what that would mean not only for Lena, but what that would mean for Kara and Supergirl. So it's this sort of extra added switch to a bomb that could go off at any time."The common goal of finding and catching Lex helps bridge Lena's relationship with Kara and her relationship with Supergirl, McGrath says. "That kind of unifies them…so you get a more friendly relationship with Lena and Supergirl then you had for a season and a half, and then at the same time, the betrayal of Eve has had the result that I think Lena becomes a whole lot closer to the people that she does trust, and the main person she trusts is Kara, so ironically what that has done is it has brought her closer and more trusting to Kara, which from a viewer's point of view, because you know that Kara has been keeping a secret from her, is so bittersweet to watch because you see Lena start to rely on her even more, but at the same time you're going, oh god, but only if you knew. So it's just an amazing, dramatic quality and this extra sort of delicious ingredient to this whole storyline."

IT’S FINE I DON’T WANT TO CRY OR ANYTHING.

“If and when she finds out that Kara is Supergirl,” McGrath agrees, looms large over Lena right now. “I can’t tell you when it’s going to happen … but if it did, I think the results of that are utnold for what that could mean for Lena, her psyche, her emotional wellbeing, her friendships.” Unlike the recent betrayal by Eve, with her true friend Kara, “I think it’s a greater betrayal, and I think it will have more lasting results on her.

Ironically, what it does is, rather than make her more wary of the people she trusts, it makes her cling onto them even more. So her relationship with Kara is ultimately strengthened by it because she’s driven toward the people she trusts because she’s had yet another person taken away from her — which, especially with Kara, for the viewer watching it, is so heart-rending because she’s growing closer to the friend who she trusts when ultimately the viewers know that this person is also lying to her, for very good reasons and not to hurt her or anything.

is it stupid to hope that last bit matters?

[When we spoke to you at the end of your first season on the show, you said you were happy that Lena was the only person who didn’t know Kara’s secret because it made their relationship special. Two years later, we find out that even Lex knows her secret. Do you still feel that way, or are you dying to join the club now?] No, I still feel that one of the loveliest parts of the Lena-Kara relationship is that Kara can be human and frail and not a hero with somebody — that she can just be Kara Danvers, rather than having to be Supergirl. I think that’s a wonderful thing for Kara to not always have to be the person who has to solve every problem and face the world. I think she needs that. For as long as it may last, I’m very happy for it to be Lena that has that relationship with her. Up until Alex had her mind wiped, Lena was the only person who could have that relationship with her. For Kara, it’s not the same with Alex because Kara knows what’s missing in the relationship and Alex doesn’t.

anyway, the wild part of this interview spree is that one of them was with the mary fucking sue.

One such factoid that emerged was that Lena’s birth mother was Irish, like McGrath herself. “This is an illustration about how lovely and sweet our writers are,” McGrath laughed. “They do put in little things for us to make us smile.” Further than that, McGrath gushed, “This is why we’re so lucky with this job, that everybody on it cares about you as a human being.”

mhmm, yeah. that’s why they did that.

In the most recent episode, “House of L,” we learned that Lex, like everyone but Lena at this point, knows Supergirl is Kara Danvers. How did that happen? McGrath theorizes that Lillian Luthor told him. “He didn’t figure it out on his own because he’s no smarter than Lena is,”

Lena knows how to prepare herself for hard days, even so, and some of that preparation comes down to the gorgeous fashion McGrath gets to sport (sometimes in places where a cocktail dress isn’t appropriate, but we’re not complaining). No Lena outfit has made as big an impression lately as the plum three-piece suit she wore to work with her brother: “I think, when a woman wants to feel elegant and powerful but in control, a very beautiful, tailored three-piece suit goes a long way to making you feel that … and I think that was part of what was going on there with Lena.” McGrath actually brought the idea of the suit to the costumers, inspired by photos of Cate Blanchett in suits that were “sill feminine but totally in control.” Indeed, Lex may have his “Lexo suit,” but Lena has perfect couture, and I think we all know which one is better.

At the same time, though, Lena will be dealing with her guilt over, well, everything that’s happened: the mayhem that Lex’s nefarious deeds cause, Red Daughter’s existence, and James experiencing the side effects of the Harun-El serum. But she won’t let that guilt get her down.“A lot of what drives Lena in the second half of the season is this need to fix those wrongs that she feels responsible for,” McGrath says of how Lena will react to Red Daughter. “[This] is an ongoing theme within the show: Her research, [which] is created for good, is taken and perverted, and it is often the source of all evil for the series. This has happened again to her. So much of the world is dealing with the results of her actions again. So she becomes very focused to fix it, and a focused Lena is a force to reckoned with.”

not for nothing, but i keep trying to think of a real world equivalent to this specific conundrum and it’s like... people who build weapons probably don’t operate under any illusions that what they’re doing is going to hurt people if used by the wrong people (and lol that in this instance the wrong hands were lena’s. and by lol i mean holy fuck.) but like... is lena mark zuckerberg?

[I knew Lex was playing Lena, because it’s Lex Luthor — but I found myself sort of wishing he wasn’t, especially in that moment when he tells Lena about the time he met her mother. How did you feel playing that moment?] He had me in tears. I was weeping down my face. We didn’t do that [scene] many times because I was crying so much. In that moment, I think he made Lex very human, and I don’t think we were expecting that. I don’t think we were expecting a vulnerable, human, relatable Lex Luthor, and I think that’s what’s really interesting about what Jon Cryer has done with Lex. He really [shows] all of these very different sides. There are moments, like you said, where you’re like, “Oh, maybe he isn’t a bad guy. Maybe there’s hope for him. Maybe we’re going to see a Lex Luthor that might be a hero.” (And maybe you don’t want to see another person be horrible to Lena, but that might just be me projecting.)

so anyway, i have this headcanon that lena believed using the harun-el on lex would actually fix him in the head, but this makes just feel bad for lena. like, at the end of the day when someone says they need her, she’s going to bend over backwards to provide. ugh :(

I think her confidence is completely shaken, but at the same time, it has hardened her resolve. She is a woman that when she is faced with a problem, she doesn’t retreat from it — she attacks it. Yes, this has completely shaken her, but it has focused her mind to go forward and to fix the problem. Her drive and her focus to fix this is sort of second to none.

Although Lena and Supergirl are coming at the same issue from different points, they ultimately have the same end goal. They both believe in helping people and the greater good and saving mankind, which are all lofty goals.

ANYWAY THIS INTERVIEW IS THE WORST.

"They both believe in the greater good and helping humanity," McGrath says. "They just come at it from two completely different sides, like the left wing and the right wing, but they ultimately both want the same thing and the search for Eve and this need to catch Lex sort of unites them and you see them all working together, but at the same time in doing that, Lena is still dealing with the secret that she helped Lex, and she has to carry that through as well."

i would like to go back in time and never have read this sentence with my own eyes. ms mcgrath is forbidden from interviews for another two years, thanks bye.

Lena definitely feels some guilt, but she's also been betrayed, and McGrath says we won't see her "totally deal with it.""I think she can't. I think if she starts to unpick it, she'll unravel completely, so what you get instead is it pushing Lena to be extremely focused on catching Lex and catching Eve and a focused Lena Luthor is a very dangerous thing. With her single-minded pursuit, you should be very wary, and I think that's what they've done is rather than her sitting around and unpicking straight away all the stuff that's happened, it's just lit a fire under her to go fix it, because she feels so responsible.

this part is fine. totally fine. katie has some genuinely good insight into lena’s ongoing trauma and how that drives her, BUT THEN.

But not only does she feel responsible, but she can't tell anybody truly 100% why she is responsible, because she would have to admit that she was helping Lex."

Melissa constantly trying to hint to you while you and katie are in the same room that katie has a crush on you

A/N: YAYYYYY FOR KATIE MCGRATH BEING A DORKY DORK :)

It was table read day and you and Katie were the first ones in the room that day. She was leaning against the table and you were situated in her arms because Katie had wrapped you in you up in a hug about three minutes ago, just holding onto you and you to her as you both just talked.

You had smiled at the random display of affection from your best friend and it hadn’t left your face since.

You and her had hit it off and become friends very quickly ever since you were cast as the forgotten younger Danvers sister about 8 months ago.

You felt Katie’s pale hand lace through the hair on your head and hold you a little bit closer, washing a warmth and calmness over you that only she ever made you feel.

Suddenly, your cast mates entered the room being loud and obnoxious.

“Keep it PG, McGrath.” Melissa teased and you just chuckled at the joke as you felt the green eyed woman tense up and slowly push you away from the hug.

“You okay?” You asked grabbing at her hand.

“Uh, yeah I’m good.” She smiled at you and reached over with her other hand to tuck some of your hair behind your ear.

You beamed at her as you massaged her hand between your own, missing the red tinge that Katie’s cheeks got as you did so.

“Stop it with the foreplay and just fuck already.” Jeremy had decided to jump in on the teasing as well as he gently hip checked the you as he walked by.m, causing you to fall into Katie again.

“Oh you’d like that wouldn’t you, Jer?” You hummed, never dropping her hand.

Katie looked so embarrassed and Chyler just gave her a sympathetic look of comfort as she passed by.

“They’re so dumb.” You hummed as you ran your fingers through the lose tendrils of her bun that framed Katie’s face.

Katie closed her eyes at the feeling of your fingers grazing her cheek as you played with her hair. Your body was pressed against hers and she could’ve sworn she was losing her might at the sensory overload she was experiencing because of you.

“Why don’t you go save our seats. I gotta get my water bottle and bag from by the door.” Katie told you, deciding that she needed to end the contact before she did something stupid.

You nodded at her and pulled away, going to s down next to Melissa where your name card had been placed.

The blonde leaned over with a smirk.

“You know she thinks your really pretty right?” Melissa told you.

You just smiled and laughed giddily.

You’re best friend was perfect.

“Well she’s like a goddess so I don’t know what she’s talking about.” You hummed as you watched your best friend place a water bottle to her beautiful lips and head over to the seat next to you.

Melissa just kinda looked at you wondering how you were so oblivious.

Katie wasn’t very discreet about her feelings towards you and most of the cast knew about her little.. Well not so little crush on you.

Everyone but you.

The brunette took the seat on the other side of you and situated her bag under the table and out of the way. She then threw her legs up over your thighs and you instantly scooted your chair a little closer to her so she could be more comfortable.

You rested your hands on her legs, one on her calf and one on her thigh and felt Katie shiver as you rubbed her calf through her jeans.

“We should have a movie night.” You said to both of them but directed it at Katie.

“As long as I get to cuddle up to you I’m in.” Katie blushed and you let out a playful laugh.

“Of course!” You nodded.

If you had been paying attention to anything but Katie, you would’ve notice how your cast mates were looking at you like you were a complete idiot.

“Oh my god.” Melissa grumbled, getting up and leaving your obliviousness behind.

Supergirl Flirts with Horror and Fights Phantoms

This SUPERGIRL article contains spoilers for Season 6, Episode 4, “Lost Souls.”

Supergirl Season 6 Episode 4

To vanquish the Phantoms and escape the Phantom Zone, Supergirl motions toward horror with its body-snatching plot in National City and eerie quest over in the Phantom Zone. With the Prime Phantom still terrorizing National City and Kara and her father still trapped, the Super Friends had their hands full while still trying to come to terms with the emotional aspect of losing Kara, mostly by consuming Scotch or doughnuts. (Come on Nia, be the innovator who makes it Scotch and doughnuts!)

In an early bout with phantoms, a seemingly defeated phantom coming from lying on the ground to standing up in one smooth movement was a particularly cool genre moment for the usually-light Supergirl. The final showdown with the mini-Phantom Zone on Earth has more horror beats, like when Brainy is taken and he claws his way from the shadows – his red eyes a sign he’s been taken – before the phantoms pull him into the darkness. Mostly, though, Supergirl is too silly for the genre. Instead, Brainy deadpans that, “we’re going to need a bigger gun” and the Prime Phantom is taken out in a very Ghostbuster-y display of knock-off proton packs.

Over in the Phantom Zone, it’s hard to shake the feeling that something just isn’t quite right. That something turns out to by Nyxly, the exiled imp princess introduced in the previous episode. Played with winking charm by Peta Sergeant (Snowfall), there was always going to be more to her story, and it seems obvious that she’ll survive the blast and find a way to keep causing headaches for Kara Zor-El for a while longer. The bigger question is, how long will Kara’s father Zor-El (Jason Behr, Roswell) be able to survive Nyxly’s antics, and might Mxyzptlk return to help?

A drawback to the bad blood between Kara and Lena last season, above and beyond the feud between the two of them, is that it isolated Lena from the rest of the characters she used to be so close to. This episode was a nice return to form then, with Alex backing Lena up in a big way and giving her the digital record of Kara’s life force. That’s a huge vote of confidence, and while the audience has known how Kara feels toward Lena and Brainy has spent time with the law-abiding Luthor, it’s good to see how the rest of the Super Friends actually feel.

Lena’s pain and guilt over Kara being in the Phantom Zone and her desire to bring her back is palpable. Importantly, this isn’t season 5 Lena, vowing to make Non Nocere work to spite Kara or Lex, a maniacal glint in her eye, churning her hurt over Kara’s lie into innovation, no matter the cost. Katie McGrath’s performance makes it clear that this desire to do whatever it takes is rooted in sadness and resignation, that she ultimately knows Alex is right about saving National City instead of Kara, even if she doesn’t want to admit it.

With Kara in the Phantom Zone, Super Girl is mixing it up when it comes to scene partners. Aside from the old standby of reuniting Alex and Lena (it’s always good to see Alex Danvers working in a lab), M’Gann and Dreamer teaming up makes use of M’Gann’s new, temporary powers. With M’Gann sticking around, hopefully she gets to keep working with other characters beyond J’onn, to flesh out those relationships.

This season has largely sidelined William Dey and so far, it’s hard to object. At some point Nia’s story will likely involve professional maturation to match her growth as a hero, or perhaps Lex’s inevitable return for revenge will bring him back into view. For now, though, the Tower is a world unto itself, with National City only mattering in the abstract. Silas (Claude Knowlton) has been a nice touch, but with so many characters and so little time (we didn’t even see Kelly this week!), one doesn’t exactly lie awake at night wondering about Andrea Rojas.

Supergirl’s legacy has already emerged as a strong theme this season. It makes sense, as the show considers its own legacy as well. Brainy often talks about the legend of Supergirl and Nia Nall in his own time, especially in pep talks to Nia, who is flourishing as a hero in her own right. Here, Alex made a painful choice because she knew it was what Kara would have wanted. That’s likely why Lena didn’t conspire to thwart Alex. M’Gann and J’onn lived her message in a different way, putting their lives on the line to save one another, the kind of egalitarian heroism Supergirl espouses.

Supergirl herself was no slouch in the heroics department, destroying her way home rather than letting Nyxly terrorize earth, even trying to save her. There’s a long way to go before we say goodbye to Supergirl, but the woman of steel is nothing if not steadfast in her resolve to make the hard choices to do what’s right until the very end.

Disney’s taken over Great Britain and Ireland. Mickey and Minnie are the king and queen until they see fit to retire

Simpson’s are now in Hollywood Bart is filthy stinking rich and the Whitehouse is his mansion

Main characters

Jane Ophelia Emerson: now known as Jaime aster blonde hair blue eyes around 5 foot 8 inches. Has magic like the whole of her mothers side of the family. Unlocks it when she meets Peter Pan for the first time. Like her mother and grandmother before her she fell for him hard. So imagine the bitterness when she discovers she wasn’t the first to fall for him and she won’t be the last seeing as he’s fated to be her son in law. She stops her and her friends physical aging process when she’s 16 because she’s terrified of growing up and having to leave everything behind. Gets married to three guys. James pleiades Hawkins from treasure planet. An evil bisexualversion of superman she was forced to create out of two variations of kryptonite (black and pink). William smees illegitimate son that he got from a hooker on the neverland pier. Padraic hutchins. And together they’ve adopted three kids not much younger then them. Youngest to oldest. Timothy Tiberius Turner. Horrid Henry. Alice Liddell. Preferred drink is olive oil until she decides to stop aging then she goes all out on the booze. She really does not like using mjolnir but that’s exactly why she can use it. She killed her own cousin after Peter Pan was taken advantage of. Speaks how she was raised. Posh. But the angrier she gets the more common she sounds.

James pleiades Hawkins: nicknamed Plei shoulder length brown hair turquoise eyes five foot nine. Space cadet. Made a little mistake in that he wished he had magic when holding an empty lamp. This means he’s now a genie but he can appear normal except when angered and he turns an olive green. His lamp stays hidden in Jaime’s blood stream. Very protective of his kids. From montressor but speaks with a middling California accent

Kal: under duress Jaime creates him by combining black and pink kryptonite (according to what I’ve read black turns him evil and somehow pink turns him gay I don’t know why so please don’t ask) so imagine a five foot eleven inch evil bisexual superman built like a tank flirting with anyone he sees. There are limits. He cannot go after anyone younger then Jaime or older then Wendy. Or anyone she is directly related to. Has a side thing going with she hulk (cause of that man of steel woman of Kleenex problem). Looks so much like Clark Kent (blue eyes jet black hair) that once the bitterness has subsided they eventually declare themselves twins. Actually talks with a Kansas accent (it’s a pet peeve of mine) hair goes to his shoulder blades

Padraic Hutchins: five foot ten. Mixed race but unless he showed you a picture of his father (mr smee who is like really white) you wouldn’t be able to tell. Dark black skin (think terry crews) dark blonde waist length hair. Emerald green eyes. Met Jaime when he was working as cabin boy (and hooks personal stool master) on the Jolly Roger. Jaime offered him a deal. Sword fight just him and her. She wins he becomes her butler and all that entails. He wins she becomes his butler and all that entails. It comes to a stalemate. He decides to go with her though. (If you had to wipe hooks ass wouldn’t you leave given a chance) invents a new method of killing when getting revenge on a racist homophobic cop in Springfield. He may look like terry crews but speaks like Katie McGrath (his accent is Dublin posh)

Merida: jaimes best friend. Scottish. Really really curly bright orange hair halfway down her back. Grey blue eyes. 5”8. Harsh rivalry with Clarabelle cow Clarabelle keeps calling her fat by accident. She is not fat. The slightly barrel like figure she has is pure muscle. Moved in with Jaime after an absolutely blow out fight with her mother and hasn’t looked back since. Met Parker through tragedy. The were on an excursion with the parr children and dash died in front of her. Completely destroyed her for months. Tried to change everything about herself to feel better. None of it worked. Cut and straightened her hair. Tried to lose weight (just became addicted to caffeine). She even gave up archery (which if you know her is a serious cause for concern). And through it all Parker was there

Peter Benjamin Parker: the group calls him Parker because there are one too many Peters in the world and they needed to differentiate. Brown hair that grows out to his chin. Brown eyes. 5”9. Splits himself so he can have a somewhat normal life. There is now three of him. The original with Merida. Petey living with aunt may. Spider-Man. Parker actually grows to like the venom suit and through magic is actually able to control it. Realised he was bi when he kissed Padraic to cheer him up after Kal was being a jackass. Then harry arrived. Still has his native New York accent but it interchanges with a British accent after he’s lived in Kensington for some time.

Melody: Danish princess. Daughter of Ariel and Eric. Granddaughter of king triton. Black hair blue eyes. 5”8. Has a thing for blonde men. Was attracted to Cody before he told her he was asexual then she layed off him. Eventually gets with zephyr. Non practicing catholic except in one respect. Jaime gave her her own trident. Loves to swim. She’ll shrink herself down and use a wine glass if she has to. Always wears her hair in a ponytail

Zephyr: French Romani. Blonde shoulder length hair in a pageboy style cut. Green blue eyes. 5”9. Always wears the outfit he had on in his film only now it’s in an older more mature style. Smitten with melody when they met but she had a thing for Cody so he couldn’t say anything. He just got steadily more drunk. Scarily flexible. Likes to hang from chandeliers with his toes. Bit like a blonde Dick Grayson. Non practicing catholic in the same way melody is.

Cody Anderson: Swedish but has spent a lot of time in Australia. 5”11. Blonde hair long enough to braid. Keeps it in a man bun 90% of the time. Asexual. Much rather run climb or play video games then date or sleep with someone. Poor thing has been conscripted as Kals wingman. He absolutely hates it. He just tells the intended targets the truth and if Kal can’t seal the deal on his own merits it’s not Cody’s problem. Apparently can survive on one hour sleep.

Alice Liddell: one of Jaime Plei Kal and Padraics adoptive children. 12 years old. 5”5. Reality warper. Mostly this means she can make a portal to wonderland through any surface. But then she gets magic and all bets are off. Adopted because we birth parents were about to have her committed to an asylum because she kept insisting wonderland is real (it is of course but they have literal Victorian sensibilities and to them Alice has cracked) favourite Dad is Plei. Blonde hair half way down her back. Blue eyes. Actually does look like Jaime a little bit except Jaime’s hair is more of a tawny gold colour and Alice’s is more yellow. Like Jaime defies the dumb blonde stereotype. Uses her powers in very creative ways. Eventually ditches the pinafore

“Horrid” henry: except not really. His biological parents are just jackasses who scapegoat him so the worm is the professed golden child. Reddish brown hair and definitely fulfils the firey redhead stereotype. But manages to use it in helpful ways after Henry’s his own magic. Loves his chemistry set. Many a stink bomb was made from it. 5”4. 11 years old. Green eyes. Favourite Dad is Kal. Again like Zephyr, he always wears the same outfit. Adopted because Jaime could see that he was miserable at his own house and was always happiest when she was babysitting him.

Timothy Tiberius Turner: brown hair blue eyes pink hat. Still has his fairy godparents because Jorgen Von strangle is terrified of Jaime (the girl unionised death). Not stupid per-say but he doesn’t think things through. Favourite Dad is Padraic. Adopted after Jaime went to talk to his fairies and saw his babysitter strapping him to a torture wheel. Definitely the baby of the group being 10 years old

Harry Osborn: 5”9. Black hair blue eyes. Bi. Enters a relationship with Parker and Merida. Hung up on Parker for longer then he’d care to admit. But always believed (as Parker did) that he was straight. Strikes up an odd friendship with Jaime over the “Peters who have ruined their lives” (Parker and Pan) the only difference Osborn is now with his Peter and Jaime doesn’t love her one anymore. He revels in the fact Parker feels the need to protect him and their respective positions in the relationship have changed. Was dying before he used magic to cure the unknown disease that would ravage his body. Couldn’t use his fortune to find a cure because his fathers will stipulates that he’d be disinherited if he tried to cure himself. That and he wanted to defend himself properly should the need arise

Ashton Darling: Jaime’s cousin born in the same hospital month day and the exact same time. Shoulder length tawny gold hair blue eyes same height as Jaime. It’s a running gag that he and Jaime look so much alike they could easily be the same person cloned and don’t think that before puberty when her hair was shorter they didn’t pull pull a twin switch. They even have the same taste in men. Fictional with bright eyes. Expected a bigger reaction from Jaime when he came out to her. She knew and they carried on as normal. Eventually starts dating Jack Frost from rise of the guardians. His parents are fans of that 70’s show. His younger brother is called Topher

Jack Frost: pure white hair blue eyes. 5”9. Always in the same outfit. Guardian of fun. Has a sibling like rivalry with Elsa. She thinks he’s annoying and he thinks she’s boring despite them having the same powers. In Jack Elsa sees what she could have had. Yes Jack was lonely but he made the best of it for centuries and he had people to talk to (North toothania bunnymund and Sandy) whereas Elsa retreated into herself scared of going near others. Though they come to an understanding and when Jaime gives the shovel talk to Jack Elsa gives the shovel talk to Ashton. Ashton and Jack met in similar circumstances to Merida and Parker except the Ashton and Jack’s weren’t nearly as tragic as Merida and Parker

Taran: 13 years old. 5”6. Red hair green eyes. Dalbens ward but somehow ends up staying at Jaime’s (admittedly insanely cavernous) flat more then necessary and everyone knows why except him. Alice has taken a shine to him. He doesn’t quite know why. Gurgis still attached to his hip. He and Eilonwy drifted apart but they are still friends. Has next to no idea what’s going on more than half the time

Felicia Hardy: old friend of Harry and Parker. The friend that would not leave. Her father died and she still is not over it. Cinnamon colour hair hazel eyes. 5”8. Hapless. That is until the symbiote infects her and almost starts a war with the galactic federation.

Johnny Storm: like Parker the group just call him storm. 5”9. Mid length spiky blonde hair. Blue eyes. The human torch. Enters the group by happenstance. Works at Oscorp on an intern. When Parker took the fall for what Felicia was blamed for harry had a bit of a panic attack demanding that he and Parker weren’t separated again so to assuage him Parker takes him on a holiday in a private suite in the death hotel. But then Storm arrives with this contract he needs harry to sign and it escalates from there so now Merida has three boyfriends who are also dating each other one of which is in intergalactic jail.

There are a multitude of alternate realities that are accessed through a full length mirror in Jaime’s flat. Some have diffoerent circumstances or flipped morality/genders or different outcomes. For example

Different circumstances: Clark crashed into the Wayne’s greenhouses and the shock set off Martha’s labour. Clark married a one Diana prince and had two children. Oliver Kingston Wayne and Barry Allen Wayne. Bruce is the drink uncle who accidentally joined a big brother program and Clark is making damned sure Bruce is honouringthe commitment. Oliver dances at a club to be self sufficient. Barry meanwhile is obsessed with chemistry. Clark stayed home with a sick Alfred that fateful night and has never forgiven himself. So he became superman to make sure something like that never happens to anyone else. Bruce however became a preteen alcoholic. Chardonnay is his drink of choice. Their pool cleaner a mr Arthur curry and their chauffeur is a mr Hal Jordan

Different outcome: Professor farnsworth took over New New York with an army of bending units aided by his insane son Phillip. Leela is Phillips personal slave. An impoverished Amy Wong is his public slave (Leela is a sewer mutant). Carol Walt Larry and Igner are incarcerated for trying to throw a coup

Flipped morality: Snow White, jealous of her fathers affection for his new wife, killed her father and blamed grimhilde for it. She learned dark magic and killed the queen in a mirror storm then took over the kingdom with only seven diamond armoured dwarfs. All when she was fourteen.

Flipped gender: Cendrillon used as servant in his own home until he’s able to go to the ball aided by his fairy godfather. The princess saved him with a glass slipper

Jaime and Wendy had a major falling out because Wendy kept trying to put her solutions in alignment with Jaime’s problems. Eventually Jaime moved next door into a flat in Mickey and Minnie’s castle. And now Jaime’s the queen. Wendy is 5”10 tawny gold hair almost always in a bun. Blue eyes and always dressed in blue. Mid to late forties. Edward Emerson. Think Henry cavil in prime superman mode greying at the temples in either army fatigues or black denim. One year older than Wendy. Besides George he is the only mortal in the family and being mortal he can use a magic wand (no one quite knows why only mortals can use wands)

Plei’s mother Sarah looks the same as in the film. Now you need to go through trauma for your magic to settle. And Plei’s trauma is seeing his father Leland a gain in god know how long. It does not go well

Kal have a rivalry with Clark because Kal sees Clark as a wimp who is wasting his powers on helping people and Clark thinks Kal is a no good miscreant. Their parents though treat Kal the same way they treat Clark. Doesn’t matter if he’s a close W he’s their son. In return Kal values them and does not hate them like he hates Kal (high praise in deed)

Smee just wants Padraic to be happy and if that means Padraic being in England in an entirely different dimension then so be it.

Elinor got impatient with Merida taking so long to choose a suitor and then Merida decided to try and find a boyfriend from non options (read as she doesn’t love the clans sons). So they had a hard he blow out fight which led to Merida moving in with Jaime and she’s barely looked back since

May doesn’t know Parker is no longer st school and he is not planning on telling her. And besides she’s got Benji

Ariel and Eric know everything and as long as melody isn’t hurt they’re fine with it

Jack’s family died a couple centuries ago so what accounts for his family are the guardians a boy who remembers him less and less every year. Elsa who sees him as who she could have been and Anna who just wants everybody to get along. Then there’s kristoff who just wants peace

Taran still goes to see Dalben henwen fflewder and eilonwy when he can

Felicia’s last words to her father were “piss off” so she desperate to make amends with his ghost

Jaime has become a children’s advocate. Simple stuff like babysitting and making sure the recess gang isn’t split up. But she isn’t up to date on slang so when a mourning 13 year old Angelica pickles drunk dials her, Jaime has no idea what’s the girls saying. And she takes it upon herself to punish the “evil children” ie DW Reed, 3 year old Angelica Pickles, manny heffley, Francine nebulon the children the make their older siblings lives a living hell.

Simpson’s:

Jaime aged up the child population of Springfield by ten years. Barts twenty Lisa’s eighteen Maggies twelve and so on. She also given them special powers. Bart has super speed Lisa HAD telekinesis (she abused it so she losed it. Painful rhyme I know) Maggie has electrokinesis milhouse can ghost through objects Nelson can put national monuments on his pinky nail. Ralph can bend reality to his will. Sherri can teleport Terri can fly. That sort of thing. Though some have non active powers. Moe can not die no matter how hard he tries. Homer and barney have regenerative livers (so they can be sozzled all the time) Bart has inherited Montys fortune and company

 — And our dear listeners are eager to know, how long have you been in Sunset Port? — Most importantly, why do you stay?

It has been about six years since I’ve come to the city. It hardly seems that long ago now, its amazing how time flies when you’re busy. What can I say, the city has a certain charm that makes to hard to leave.

 Of course! We can all identify with the sentiment. Well, at least some of us. [LAUGHTER] What do you do in Sunset Port?

I’m a Defense Lawyer,  among other things. Nothing to glamorous I assure you

 Admirable! Now, I'd have left this question last to finish with a bang, but our listener is impatient, oh my! Have you heard of our little organization?  

The real question darling, is who hasn’t?

 Oh my! — And if Isabella Castello came knocking at your door, what would you do?

Invite her in for tea, as is our routine at this point in our lives. I know she prefers a good black tea lately.

BIOGRAPHY

Trigger Warnings:  Implied Abusive Foster Homes, Parental Death, Parental Abuse, Car accidents. Homophobia, Self Defense Murder, Police Corruption

Scarlet only has vague memories of her parents, but she holds them very close to her heart. Snippets of a once happy childhood, dancing in the rain, and BBQs in the backyard when the rain finally stopped. Born in the Seattle area, it was just after Scarlet’s sixth birthday that the seemingly constant rain caused the car accident, a driver lost control of his car and slammed into the family car on the way home from the local art museum. This accident would kill both of Scarlet’s parents and leave Scarlet an orphan with scars that would last her entire life.

After that day, Scarlet bounced around foster homes, never seeming to find quite the right fit. The crash left her withdrawn and with strong anxiety anytime she was in a car for extended periods of time. This didn’t make her the most desirable kid for most foster families, even those that fashioned themselves as the saviors of those less fortunate. Scarlet soon learned some families were nicer in their rejections than others, and it was best to keep her head down and her mouth shut to avoid the worst of peoples wrath. Despite her plans, Scarlet couldn’t stop herself from standing up for other children when the caretakers would lash out at them, taking blows and harsh words so others wouldn't have to. When Scarlet became a teenager she had given up hope forever finding a good home once again, and was just patiently biding her time till she could run away from it all.

Ten years after the accident, and bouncing around the entirety of Washington State it seemed. Scarlet finally found a slightly more permanent home once again. A wonderful single mother by the name of October Axelia. October had made it her mission to take the less desirable kids from the foster system and give them a home worth having. Firmly believing that love and having someone genuinely on their side could change many kids’ entire lives. Scarlet being one of those kids that October decided to take under her wing. Appearing to all the world as a withdrawn teenager who hardly talked by the time October found her. Stubborn and Quiet and battered down by the world.

Finally given a stable place to live, and a guardian who seemed to give a single fuck about her. Scarlet excelled at her studies, but stayed fairly withdrawn from the world. Struck in her own head with the nagging fear the world would take everything from her if she got too comfortable. That is until she met Danny. Danny was outgoing, a track star, everything Scarlet wasn’t. The two were forced to be Science Lab Partners, Danny having been late and Scarlet being the last person left. Scarlet fell head over heels in love. Danny in many ways was her gay awakening.  Danny slowly started to take down the walls Scarlet had built and Scarlet guessed that seemed to find something worth loving.  The two started dating not even a month after that first meeting.

What Scarlet didn’t know about was Dannys home life. Scarlet slowly learned about the pressure Dannys dad put on her, and the punishments that came when Danny didn’t meet those standards. How people never noticed the scars and the bruises because her father was an upstanding member of the community. It was right before graduation when Scarlet’s world was turned upside down again.  She and Danny had been dating for close to two years, before Dannys father finally found out about the two of them. The two girls had been keeping their relationship a secret for the very reason Dannys  father was violent and horribly homophobic.

Scarlet received a phone call in the middle of the night, a panicked Danny describing how her father found out and charged at her. She had grabbed the nearest object and slammed it onto his head. Danny had called the cops,still trying to do the right thing out of the vain hope that it would work out.  Immediately after she called Scarlet, scared out of her mind and unsure about what her life would turn into. Danny knew that this could be really bad, having turned eighteen the week before, and wanted to say goodbye just in case.

Scarlet watched as her first love received what she deemed as an unfair trial with members of the community not hearing what one of the most beloved men in the community did, and a lawyer that didn’t give a shit and was overworked. Scarlet was forced to watch as her world was taken from her once again. She was left searching, searching for some sort of meaning in a world she deemed as cruel. She fell into a deep depression, taking a year off of school, delaying her admission into Harvard. Scarlet spent most of her year curled up in bed, unable to bring herself to do much of anything else.

Scarlet found her purpose in her anger and despair. She found it in the pursuit of power and security. Scarlet had seen her foster siblings and her first love go through a system that didn’t give a fuck about them and Scarlet was determined to take that corrupt system that was built to destroy people and bend it to her will. Innocent People were charged or convicted all the time, with unjust sentencing, and Scarlet was determined to help those the system fucked over, as well as doing whatever she needed to get herself into a position where she would never loose someone again.

Scarlet ended up going to Harvard University for her undergraduate and then Yale Law School. Scarlet kept her head down and worked hard, adopting a life style that swung wildly from sex with random strangers, and drinking to forget the nightmares to studying her ass off and scoring top of her class. Scarlet graduated the top five of her class in both schools, moving to Sunset Port trying to take up residence on the opposite side of the country from her past.

Scarlet  started by serving a variety of clients, from many wealthy clients at high costs, and those who she charges a single dollar for her services. It was in one of her charity cases that she went against the former head of the Fates. Not knowing who he was in a trail by jury case, and prompting beating his ass. This attracted the attention of one Isabella Castello. She wasn’t very fond of one of heads loosing in what was supposed to be his area of expertise. But Isabella was always a business women first. Extending an offer to Scarlet to join the Fates Branch. Scarlet saw it as the perfect opportunity to gain the power she had been trying so hard to cultivate.

Scarlet excelled in the branch. In over a year forming her own smaller network, keeping an eye on the the system as a whole. It wasn’t entirely a surprise when Scarlet met with Isabella with a folder of improvements that needed to be made. Isabella silently looked through the folder before calling her former employee telling him to retire. There's a new head of the Fates. Scarlet has thrived in her position. Keeping track of those in her branch, possible  new recruits and problems that could arise. It’s been about four years since Scarlet has started spinning her web and has plenty of strings left to pull.

You know what my queer ass wants from the next season of Frontier?

I want either Elizabeth Carruthers to go to Fort James looking to set up connections, or for Grace Emberly to go to Montreal for a fresh start making her own business, and for Samuel Grant to go into lowkey panic mode.

He’s too arrogant to act like he believes they could ever be a threat to his business but he does what he can to make sure they don’t meet, even going a little out of his way to try and manufacture some hostility between them, because he might be a chauvinistic windbag but he’s still a fairly shrewd businessman as well.

And of course both women catch onto the fact that odd circumstances keep preventing them from meeting. They also notice, that their strategies seemingly keep clashing and causing problems between them, even though a quick examination of how they each handle their business with others suggests that there is no motive for why they should clash as often as they do, even as competitors in the same industry.  Realising there is more at play they decide to officially meet up.

It takes all of two seconds of conversation for them to figure out it’s Grant’s interference getting between them, and two seconds after that to agree to work togther to take his slimy ass down. There’s some tension over who gets how much and which parts of Grant’s assets when they take him down but that kinda gets tabled. They can better figure that out when they see what’s left to take after destroying him.

After both being told repeatedly that they’re businesses are too small, and too female they decide on a partnership. Merging their businesses together to become a larger force for others to contend with. Grant is still wont to dismiss them, but everytime he does the feeling of cold lead settling in his stomach grows.

He does his best to ignore it however keeping his focus on taking over Fort James from the HBC. Benton is on his last legs, his wounds from the night Declan Harp was rescued and escaped, have turned septic. He’s in misery but also in denial. He’s determined to survive even more obsessed with catching Harp, and now moderately obsessed with capturing Michael Smyth too. Captain Chesterfield thinks its only a matter of time until he’s finally governer but he’s getting impatient, and overly arrogant (more so than normal).

He’s acting as if he’s already governer, which is pissing off Benton, which in turn gives Grant plenty of opportunities to grab at power. The women let him. It’ll be much easier to take down HBC if Grant has done most of the work for them, too focused on that to realise they’ve been planning how to take his company out from under him.

Elizabeth and Grace are both very aware that if they can get the native people to trade with them rather than either of the men that it will give them a massive leg up and make all of their plans much, much easier. Not that their plans necessarily hinge on acquirining trade deals with the Lake Walkers, but it wouldn’t hurt to have them.

Grace knows they’ll have a better chance of getting a deal or a share of a deal with the Lake Walkers if they get Declan’s help. Harp however is still M.I.A. So she seeks out Sokanon instead.

They agree to get Sokanon what she needs in order to find Harp, and to give her, Michael, and Harp shelter after they bring him back, and if Benton is somehow still kicking when they get back, to help Harp get rid of him once and for all with out killing himself in the process. Just so long as Sokanon can help them convince Harp to help them get a deal with the Lake Walkers afterwards. Which will be easier said than done since they’ll have to eliminate and/or replace the Okimaw just to be able to approach the Lake Walkers for business, but they’re all relatively confident they can work it out.

Time passes. Shenanigans, politics, murder, business, adventures, and romance all occur.

Benton and Chesterfield die.

Grant drags his distitute ass back to Montreal, lucky to be alive.

Grace and Elizabeth control pretty much all trade in Hudson Bay.

Harp has survived his quest for revenge and is starting to heal and move forward. He and Grace are a thing, flirting with the idea of marriage. He helps with the business where he’s needed but there is no mistaking that Grace and Elizabeth are the ones at the helm.

Sokanon more often than not acts as the go between for the company and the Lake Walkers, instead of Harp. Pretty well everyone has decided (and Harp grudgingly agrees) that it’s healthier for him to be off the frontlines of the business for the most part, at least until he gets used to not looking over his shoulder for Benton and his schemes anymore.

Michael mostly stays with Sokanon. Things are good between them, possibly in a romantic sense, possibly in a platonic they trust as respect each other more than almost anyone else. Most likely in both ways. Even so Sokanon will occassionally hand him off to Harp, playfully complaining that Harp was the one that decided to take him in, so Harp should take time to teach him some stuff instead of leaving it to her. Not that Michael needs much teaching these days, but the guys enjoy their bonding time.

Elizabeth mostly focuses on doing her part for running the company, and staving off all of the men hoping to get a hand in it by marrying her. She may or may not spend her nights with Graces’s girl Mary. (You all saw Mary seduce that Captain, and Elizabeth is played by Katie McGrath, they could totally pull off some insane chemistry if put together).

Everything is about as good as it can be for that setting and time period. The majority of the main characters are alive and content, happy even (aside from Grant who is alive but definitely not happy or content).

C: A pairing you wish you shipped, but just can't. Arthur/Merlin from Merlin.  Everyone always went so over the top with Merthur, and I shipped it for a few seconds but I never really liked Arthur so it was hard to care.

D: What was the first thing you ever contributed to a fandom? An X-Files fanfic uploaded to Gossamer titled, embarrassingly enough, "My Immortal" to which I attached my real name.  I was 14 or 15 and therefore very stupid. (I have since had this and another removed from the site, thankfully).  I also handed this fic into my English teacher to read.  Even more embarrassing.  The plot? Mulder loved Scully but he wanted to make sure that she loved him so he tried to make her jealous and when she did act jealous he was like "lol jk" and then I went into a lot of detail on a kiss they shared (THAT MY ENGLISH TEACHER READ) and then they got engaged and then they both got shot outside of Mulder's apartment for WHATEVER REASON and died.  Hence "My Immortal", because they'll be together in death.

E: Have you added anything stupid/cracky/hilarious to your fandom, if so, what? Yes, and I shall find the post I made on Livejournal so I can bring you direct to the source.  It was for Legend of the Seeker, and I got the idea to Photoshop a fake Facebook post based on an episode (I forgot where I got the idea, if I saw it in another fandom or what).  Anyway the result was this:

F: What’s the longest you’ve ever been in a fandom? What fandom was it? The X-Files. I got into it when I was around 11 or 12 and was a pretty active member until I was 17 or 18. Which doesn't seem very long, but to be heavily into it, I feel it was. And then I came back around to it when the revival was announced, so it's been an on and off relationship.

G: What was your first fandom? The X-Files, probably, in terms of content-creating.  Maybe if I'm counting things like "I pretended I was Xena a lot and I would call my friend on the phone and we’d talk about Xena" then maybe Xena: Warrior Princess

H: Do you prefer real-life TV shows or animated TV shows? Real-life, hands down. I hate animation.

I: Has tumblr caused you to stop liking any fandoms, if so, which and why? Lol what -hasn't- Tumblr caused me to hate?  Tho...you know what...I've never said it on this hellsite for fear of reprisal, but I'm going to do it. Tumblr turned me off Sansa Stark back in season 2 or so.  There was so many posts where people were so aggressive about unfollowing and hating people who didn't like Sansa and it got so irritating I started to dislike Sansa by association. So congrats, Tumblr, you played yourself. Also, this site turned me off The Musketeers around season 3. So much Aramis hate, kind of soured me since I watched the show for Santiago Cabrera. And then that association soured me on Santiago, so. Thanks.

J: Name a fandom you didn’t care/think about until you saw it all over tumblr. I'm going to say Teen Wolf. It was all over the place when it was first airing and people either loved it or thought it was ridiculous so I started watching it finally and it was ridiculously great. But then they killed off Allison and ruined my life :)))))

K: How do you feel about the other people in your current fandom(s). I don't really know what my current fandoms are - I'm kind of really into Shadowhuters rn but not in a "making things" sort of way. Anyway, I have heard some very terrible things about this fandom so I am wary.

L: Your favorite fanartist/author gives you one request, what do you ask for? I don't read fanfic and I'm not into fanart so.

M: A person who got you into a fandom and what fandom they pulled you in to. @nyx4 again. Got me into watching Sons of Anarchy. I had tried previously and got about 10 minutes in and couldn't stand it but she said it got better so I powered through and then I was into it.

As for non-TV and movie stuff, @tsukinosusagis got me into a shitton of music and like he said a few days ago “Remember when Lights created our friendship??? ICONIC”

N: Your favorite fandom (for the people; not the thing you fangirl over). Legend of the Seeker on its Livejournal days, back in 2009 and 2010 were my favorite. Nothing on tumblr.hell is a good fandom. All of it should burn.

Supergirl recap: Dreamer girl meets world

We’ve got four separate storylines this week, so let’s start with—ugh—Ben Lockwood, who’s lost his flair for rhetorical dazzle in recent episodes and has devolved into a bit of a one-dimensional shouty bad guy. The Children of Liberty (and his actual child, George) have all donned armbands now that they’re deputized by the president, and they’re setting out to round up known aliens.

George expresses uncertainty about their actions when the wife of one target objects to her husband’s arrest, and Lockwood warns, “We can’t humanize them, son. Don’t ever mistake them for anything but the roaches they are.” Bad parenting, exhibit A.

Meanwhile, Brainy, Lena, and Alex work together to help James, whose PTSD is being exacerbated by the Harun-El in his system. Lena’s frustrated because she can’t get the tech scavenged from Lex’s prison cell to work, so Brainy proposes entering James’s memories to find the root of his trauma, reasoning that if James can control his anxiety attacks, he can control his powers.

Brainy assumes the trauma is Lex-based, but the source is actually his father’s funeral when he and Kelly were children. James didn’t attend because he was accidentally locked in a bathroom, which Kelly tells Alex was upsetting for her as well, as she really needed her big brother. Brainy gently (for him) suggests that James has told himself this story so many times that he now believes it, and we eventually learn that in fact, two bullies found him that day and locked him into a casket in the basement. Yiiiiikes. I’d suppress that memory, too.

When Brainy pushes him to work through the memory, James ejects him from his mind palace, so Kelly agrees to slap on a forehead amplifier thingy and give it a try. She finds James and urges him to fight back and change the narrative. James pulls a Thanos on the bullies in his memory and helps his younger self out of the casket. When he wakes up in the lab, he’s levitating. Success!

Kara, meanwhile, is committed to bringing down Lex Luthor through a journalistic exposé that finds her flipping through the L Corp black budget and trying the “investigator tapes up photos and scrawls manic notes on a window” approach. She quickly realizes how central Amertek is to the mystery and that Franklin the Dryad 1) has been sleeping at work for safety and 2) has a sister, Edna, who works at Amertek.

After some convincing, Edna agrees to let Kara look through the Amertek files for a Lex link. She finds paperwork on a suspicious Rubnia missile base tied to a Sebastian Melmoth, but Edna refuses to look further because she’d have to use her personal ID number. “You don’t know what it’s like to walk around with a target on your back because of who you are,” she tells Kara.

The Amertek visit pays off when Kara realizes she saw the name Sebastian Melmoth in the L Corp budget, so she pays Lena a visit. Lena, though, isn’t pleased that she’s seen more of judgy, judgy Supergirl than her actual best friend, who now wants to use her as a source. To be fair, though, Lena’s super frustrated that her attempts to remove Harun-El from her test hearts keep causing them to explode, so she was already on edge.

While Kara’s doing journalism, Dreamer steps in to fill the Supergirl void, even though Brainy warns there’s a 63.6 percent chance she’ll be apprehended. During her patrol, she discovers that several terrified aliens have taken refuge at the alien bar.

Then the Children of Liberty goons bust in, and George Lockwood is shocked to see his friend Charlie hiding there. This armband-wearing child has the audacity to ask, “Why didn’t you tell me?” Thankfully, Charlie’s got enough spirit left to serve some attitude when he replies, “Why do you think?”

Then the episode jumps into campy overdrive in a way that may have worked for you but didn’t quite work for me. In the melee, the jukebox starts playing American Woman, and Dreamer fights off the Children with her light powers and her quips. She’s impressive, and I get what that song means for her on a number of levels, but it was a little *jazz hands* in its showiness. Cool but jarring, I guess. Anyway, the encounter leaves George wondering if they’re doing the wrong thing, but his proud mother assures him that he’s helping save the country.

Nia and Kara agree that they feel hopeless and helpless, so Kara hatches a plan to give the public a hero who can inspire hope as both an alien and a human. Nia suits up, and Dreamer and Kara sit down in the deserted CatCo office for a live, unscheduled interview that takes over the airwaves somehow, with Franklin running the camera. What follows is definitely not journalism, but it is emotional.

Dreamer explains that she’s a trans woman, born in America to a human father, who became her spine, and a Naltor mother, who became her heart. She says she prefers salty over sweet, that she’s a Gryffindor with a gray stallion Patronus, and that she likes nerdy boys who think too much. (Watching with Lena, Brainy asks, “What does love feel like?” Ha!) She urges viewers not to fear their differences and concludes by saying, “We don’t have to wait for a new day. We are the new day.”

While the speech is lovely, it’s kind of weird that Kara has the authority to air this non-journalistic interview just willy-nilly. But whatever. A good portion of the viewing audience is moved by Dreamer’s bravery and honesty. This includes Lena, who tells Brainy she feels paralyzed by being unable to fix James or find Lex. Brainy advises her to give trust in order to receive it.

Also touched by Dreamer’s message is one of Lockwood’s troops at the DEO, who texts Alex a warning that his boss is on the way to CatCo. By the time Lockwood arrives to arrest Dreamer for “seditious violent speech,” Alex’s team has shut down the lights, allowing Kara to use her super-powers in the dark alongside the other heroes.

Things that are awesome in the ensuing fight: Kara using her pink jacket as a weapon, Brainy and Dreamer battling back to back, Franklin jumping into the fray and Kara pretending he saved her, and a powered-up James arriving to break Lockwood’s hand and crumple his gun. “All I see are journalists exercising their rights of free speech,” James satisfyingly bellows. “Get. Out. Now.”

Edna also watched Dreamer and was inspired to use her ID to access the records Kara needs, even volunteering to go on record. Then Lena shows up to apologize and admit she worked with Lex for months, despite knowing he was manipulating her. Kara hugs her and tells her she’s strong, kind, and brilliant. Then they work together to decipher the Amertek clues.

Lena remembers that Sebastian Melmoth was an Oscar Wilde pseudonym Lex enjoyed using, and it leads her to pick apart his cipher, which reveals “Rubnia” to be code for Kaznia. And since L Corp transferred out $5.8 billion the same day that Amertek paid $5.8 billion for the missile base, Kara says, “Guess we’re going to Kaznia.”

George Lockwood, meanwhile, tosses aside a Children of Liberty mask in disgust and texts his friend Charlie that he’s there if Charlie needs him. But that might all change soon; Ben Lockwood catches sight of the woman who objected to her husband’s arrest at the top of the hour fleeing his home. Inside, he finds his wife’s body on the floor with a wound to the chest.

And the episode concludes with J’onn in Martian form on T’ozz, where he deposits his ancestors’ memories and spear for safe keeping. He smiles wistfully, and a huge Myr’nn face appears in the sand and tells him to go home to his family.

What a strangely disconnected ending beat. Was it only there to answer the question of where J’onn was for the Earthly action?

So. James has powers. And if he wields them with the controlled ferocity we saw at the end of the episode, this could be interesting to watch unfold.

I cannot get enough of Kara secretly using her powers to stop the bad guys, whether it’s a purse-snatcher or a xenophobic jack-booted thug. If we have to be Supergirl-less for a while longer, I’m glad we have that to look forward to.

Dreamer’s also a lot of fun in action, although some of her quips are better than others. “I’m your worst nightmare” and “Sweet dreams”? Okay. But “Sleeping beauty” and “Try this reverie” might need to go back to the drawing board.

Where does Lena get all those experimental hearts? Do … do we want to know? Also, Katie McGrath is one of the best criers on television. Change my mind.
