*sigh* Loki didn’t fake his death because at the time this was written and filmed it was intended to be a real death scene. It was only retconned later when test audiences wanted Loki to be alive, causing Disney to add in an extra scene where he was revealed to have survived. But it was written and acted as an actual death scene. Therefore, in-universe, Loki really thought he was dying and only survived by chance. Can Disney please keep track of their own canon? Pretty please? With a cherry on top?
