I posted this on my AO3 a week or so ago, so I thought I’d post it here as well, with some context, mind:

One for all hivemind AU

(Or is it mindhive-)

Basically, one for all hits singularity after being passed on to Izuku, which causes the vestiges’ and Izuku’s minds to merge together, creating a singular entity called…well, One For All!

(Only while awake, though. When asleep, One For All mentally separates back into the eight components

Yagi has only a slight connection to Izuku, so he can��t exactly be merged.

Exerpt from my writings on this fic under the cut:

Katsuki Bakugo stares at Izuku Midoriya.

The way the nerd’s hands fidget.

The way his eyes dart around nervously, bouncing from the plain grey walls, to the ceiling, to the floor, and finally, to the door, with Katsuki in front of it.

Well, to the untrained eye, it’s “nervously”

But to Katsuki? Who’s known this nerd for 12 years?

It isn’t nervous in the slightest.

It’s assessing.

Assessing the fastest possible escape route just in case things go sour here.

Assessing Katsuki, seeing if he’s a threat at this moment, or really did want to talk.

Speaking of…

“Y-You wanted to talk, Kacchan?” Deku says nervously, eyes moving down to his fidgeting hands. Once again, if it were someone like Round Face or Glasses, they’d think “typical Deku, you poor shy thing.”

But Katsuki knows the truth.

“Cut the crap, I know ya ain’t Deku.”

That surprises the Deku imposter, it loses it’s fake shyness, looking up at Katsuki, staring directly in his eyes.

Involuntarily, Katsuki shivers.

There’s something about Deku, no, this imposter, specifically, his eyes, that just feels…wrong.

He felt it in Aldera, he feels it in UA.

Those damn green eyes pierce straight through Katsuki’s soul…

And it pisses him off.

“Kacchan, w-what do you-“

“I said cut the crap . I know you aren’t Deku, so stop pretending to be.”

The imposter cocks it’s head to Katsuki’s left, and blinks.

“O-Ok. Say I’m not. What makes you so sure?”

AU where Makoto can see the ghosts of his dead friends.

It starts with Sayaka’s death (which he doesn’t even know happened until he’s already in the dining hall), to which her ghost apologizes profusely. It isn’t until during the trial he finds out why.

After Leon’s execution, the two act as his (sort-of) “assistants”, or people that, when someone else dies, they’ll direct them to Makoto so he can help them out

I’ll expand on this idea a bit more if y’all want.

Why I love the weapons design in the Bayonetta series

so while I was thinking about an AU that I have for MHA, I started thinking about the main guns from the Bayonetta series and just...how much love is put into all the designs.

Here's what I mean.

One thing i've noticed about all three of Bayonetta's main guns are named after love songs:

Scarborough Fair is a song about unrequited love and impossible tasks

Love is Blue is a song about losing someone you love dearly and equating that to forces of nature and colors

Color My World is a song about understanding just how much someone means to you and resolving to spend as much time loving them as you can

These songs also reflect the themes (or in color my world's case, might reflect the themes) of the game that they're in:

Bayonetta 1 is a game, at it's core, about memory. Bayonetta's lost her memories, Luka's driven by the memory of his father's death, Balder tells her that to awaken the left eye, she had to remember her youth, it's very heavy-handed.

Bayonetta 2 starts hot on the heels of Jeanne's death. Though she might not look it, Bayo is incredibly distraught by this, only letting her guard down when by herself or after finally saving Jeanne.

(Trust me. i'm making an essay on the usage of blue in Bayonetta 2 and how that ties into the core themes and whatnot later, but for now, GuNs.)

the songs even have lyrics that could sum up the game:

Scarborough: "Remember me to one who lives there/For once she was a true love of mine"

Love is Blue: "Blue is my world now that i'm without you"

all in all, i think it's really interesting that the games choose such heavy-handed songs as the names of the guns. if i think of anything else (aside from that blue essay), i'll post later.

Ok.

I’ve been holding this AU in for the past... (looks at a crudely drawn watch on my right wrist) while, and I’m not gonna do that anymore.

I’ve got an MHA AU that I like to call:

The Teacher’s Aides AU

Here’s how it goes:

Somehow, Izuku gains the ability to summon the vestiges (whether it’s because of some random quirk or because he just can (cause he’s still quirkless in this AU before OFA) and it’s not explained). He finds this out at the entrance exam, and while the other kids don’t notice the 7 grown adults in the air with the scrawny kid, the teachers certainly do. All Might talks to izuku once he gets his results (after being mauled by the vestiges for not telling izuku about the most basic things of the quirk), he finds out that in order to use one for all, izuku has to summon at least one of the vestiges, so he tells nezu that, and what does the principal do?

Make the vestiges (who are willing) Teacher’s Aides!

I say willing, because Second and Third aren’t.

They don’t like how much of a “breads-and-circuses” situation heroism has become, and as such, just stay in izuku’s head and make snarky comments sometimes.

Speaking of which, izuku & the vestiges have a sort of “collective-mind” idea, with the vestiges’ physical bodies being essentially extensions of one for all with their consciousnesses implanted in them. They don’t need to eat or anything like that, either.

Some things change, but one of the biggest is the final exam, where the classes fight against the vestiges: 1A in teams of 4 against 1 vestige (minus Midoriya, Ofc) and 1B as a rogue-like situation).

I wrote this AU for a bunch of reasons, mainly for vestiges & class 1A interaction.

⏰ - Does your muse feel like they need to do things quickly or do they take their time?

Kyoko is like, the slowest child in the world, okay? She doesn’t see that importance of trying to rush and do something. She’ll get there, when she gets there. There’s just not a lot of things that exist in her life, that honestly need that urgency to get things done. Even during her witch hunts, she rather prolong them. Allowing the familiars to gobble up whatever humans it can within its wake, and slowly evolve into an actual Witch. That is when Kyoko starts to put that urgency to her step. Because she has to make it to that witch first -- there’s a reason why many other puella magi’s fear the veteran. She’s ruthless in her course of actions, and then will do anything, in order to gain the grief seeds.

🌺 - Does your muse have a favorite flower? Why do they like it?

We’re going to be extremely cliche’ about this, but her flowers would be FORGET-ME-NOTS ( especially considering, i am using forget-me-nots in the image above). And for Kyoko, the flower symbolism can be reflected for many different aspects of Kyoko’s life, since the flower itself, houses many different meanings. Especially based on particular colors. For Kyoko’s, hers would be primarily BLUE FORGET-ME-NOTS, while, there are some purple blended into the bouquet.

The symbolism of the flowers holds many different meanings to it, so in this situation, it could be almost considered as a play-on of words, when it comes to comparing them to Kyoko. The flower itself means : literally, please, do not forget me. Please do not leave me behind. The flower means the mourning of death, underlying love, connections that last through out the time resets, actual memories that are cherished by the owner, the affection of two people, and the list goes on. And with each meaning, can easily be paired perfectly at some occurrence that has happened in Kyoko’s life, whether its dealing with her family, or what she endure as a magical girl, about Mami, and even Sayaka. Every meaning of the flower, has a tale that can be told.

📊 - How does your muse feel about the state of the world? Could it be better? Could it be worse?

Ha .. ha ha .. um .. considering everything that Kyoko ends up enduring, she becomes to believe that its honestly really shitty. But given her background, you honestly can’t blame her for thinking like this. And then she becomes even more absorb in the news after her families death -- she would just stand there on the sidewalks, and watch whatever television’s in the storefront windows, that advertised the news -- and all she ever saw was just how awful this world was. She takes notes on how much of an influence the witches truly have over this world. Just how much taint there is because of their existence.

But ... this is about when ... her whole self , just , shifts. The once bright kyoko, had become reborn into the devil’s advocate. And she begins to see the witches in a different way ... she sees them of helping the world. Of ridding those who are too weak to continue living here. This is when she starts putting things in the way of the FOOD CHAIN : the humans eat the animals, the familiars ate the humans and grew into witches, and then the witches would become devoured by the magical girls --- nobody knew though that it was the magical girls, that were born into the witches, until it was too late, of course.

So, they way Kyoko views the world, is honestly, kinda corrupted by this point. Just with her thought process alone, and then there’s her means of survival as well, after becoming an orphan. That also takes a toll on a persons sense of view. But it does no justice, and only dampers her view worse, hardening her into becoming the tough, mean girl we are introduced too at the beginning of the series.

So, um , I mean, how much worse could it honestly get for kyoko? *cough*finding out the actual truth of what is to become of you. falling in love to only watch them fall. committing a double suicide in order to take out her witch, ultimately killing herself as well, in the end. mmmm, probably a lot worse. and she isn’t sure, if this world could honestly be saved anymore ...
