(theyre hard to photograph so i dont have great pics lololol)
how i dress now is so markedly different from how i was in high school when i first came out. im glad i am secure enough in my gender to be able to develop my personal style without it threatening my sense of self. im dressing less to pass and more to express artistry and aesthetic, and also for fun! clothing is fun! 🧡

What's your experience with sagittarrius? 👀
oooh that's an interesting question-
At first I always thought I was scared of Sagittarius energy but I think that had some more personal reasons.😅 After observing it more deeply, I've actually realized that I've got more close Sagittarius sun friends than I'd have expected. After all, my Aquarius sun does get along with them well because I feel like we never run out of topics to talk about - from philosophy to psychology to sociocritical issues to spirituality. Sagittarius are very open-minded and eager to learn and acquire new knowledge so that's definitely a plane I can connect well with them!! As a fire sign, they're also expressive which is something I like and appreciate, I seem to gravitate towards people who express their emotions because I'm also someone who enjoys getting personal and talk about these things.
Sagittarius energy in general is super fun and ALWAYS guarantee you a good time. If you need someone to give you a good laugh, Sagittarius is your best bet because their wit and optimism just make you feel better immediately!!🥺
Since Sagittarius is a very optimistic sign it's quite a contrast to my pessimistic Virgo moon and therefore, their energy can definitely lift me up! A close friend of mine has their Pisces sun in the 9th house (naturally ruled by Sagittarius) - this placement is so strong I thought she was a Sagittarius rising at first tbh - and whenever we spend time together, it's like I'm being wrapped up into a warm and positive light, she lifts me up so much and whenever I spend time with her I seem to feel more confident about myself as well and that's 100% due to her uplifting and positive energy.
Sagittarius does (just like Gemini), however, square Virgo which is the sign I have my moon in. Depending on what other placements someone has in their chart, Sagittarius and Gemini placements just seem to have a special knack for hurting my feelings (because of the square to Virgo and the moon being all about one's inner self and emotions). My mom is a Sagittarius and my stepdad is a Gemini and I know they don't mean to hurt my feelings intentionally, it just kind of happens naturally.😅
Other than that I have to say I vibe with Sagittarius mercuries reaaaally well!! Conversation usually just flows and I feel like we express ourselves in similar ways and it just feels all in all super compatible and comfortable~
The same goes for Sagittarius risings I think, since I'm also a fire rising it fits quite well and I find their chaotic energy quite endearing🤭
When it comes to Sagittarius venus, it's not really a placements that I feel like shows itself much in friendships but I once dated a guy with a Sagittarius venus and our love styles were pretty misaligned (Sagittarius squares my Pisces venus), so that didn't work out so well however, our relationship also didn't last long enough for me to make an accurate judgment tbh.
As for Sagittarius mars, I'm kind of scared of the way they express their anger - another one of my ex's had both a Sagittarius moon and mars and when something angered him he usually saw red and went off on me (despite me not having anything to do with why he was angry in the first place) and nothing I said could calm him down. Those moments definitely made me feel a bit scared but he always apologized afterwards. If you don't look at the anger aspect of Sagittarius mars but instead view it from a more sexual stand point, I feel like I vibe with them better there^^
Alas, now onto the last placement...Sagittarius moon. I've noticed that Sagittarius moons tend to avoid negative emotions at all cost and if they talk about it they need to take baby steps to get deeper into the topic. I'm not sure whether they feel uncomfortable with negative emotions or they're even scared of them but it definitely feels like they tend to run away from such things. As for me, I'm a person who dives straight into the darkest of emotions and I've got no problem talking about these things, so I'm always a bit scared that I might overwhelm a Sagittarius moon by how easily I can tap into these emotions and talk about darker things. But you know, with proper communication you can make everything work! My best friend throughout my teenage years was a Sagittarius sun, moon, and mercury and we still keep in touch to this day. We do skype sometimes and it's really adorable how we usually start our conversations more general and then gradually dive deeper and make it more personal and psychological. He's pointed that out before as well and I think this is a way in which he feels comfortable expressing more negative emotions as well. I personally wouldn't mind to dive right in but I also don't mind a slower approach if that makes it easier for him to open up.
So basically, even if two people have a different nature, when you're understanding and compromising everything can work out. I also try not to generate an opinion on a whole sign based on a few experiences I've made with certain people, so I always try to stay open-minded and give everyone a chance!^-^

master post of disturbingly accurate miscellany.
sagittarius moons constantly put on a cheerful facade to cover their sadness. this often leads to internal bitterness and frustration which gets translated into violent urges and a certain amount of hostility towards others. they may often try to hide it and to keep being in-your-face happy but one can definitely feel an aura of suppressed anger around them. like a feeling of hair-triggered temperament lurking beneath the surface. [source]

venus in the 4th house: you feel like home. living in a comfortable, safe and beautiful house is very important to you, just like establishing a family. your relationship with your family, friends and significant other is of utmost importance to you and you feel the need to create a loving atmosphere for them. although being nurturing is an amazing quality, your attachment to your partner can be so overwhelming that it can lead to break-ups. you’re terrified of stressful situations, scandals and chaos, and you absolutely need to focus on being in a peaceful environment and one where you can pursue your happiness. very nostalgic and overprotective of loved ones. you need your partner to constantly reassure you of their love to you or you’ll go crazy with feelings of jealousy and insecurity. you love helping others, and you inspire love and trust in those around you. [source]
-----
saturn in the 5th: (I fear)…I’ll never feel true happiness. That I’ll always be holding myself back. That I’ll never achieve my true potential, that my light will always feel dimmed. That happiness will be taken away from me at any moment. That my anxieties will always be eating away at me, even when I’m surrounded by the ones I love. That my inner child will always feel neglected, and that, because of that, my creativity feels blocked. [source]
-----
the most noticeable difference between the negative (earth and water) and the positive (air and fire) venus signs for me is that the first really see love as a state of total reception, they connect it more to a passive state in which you can fully grasp and empathize with the other. and the second see love more as a pull towards the object of desire, an inspiration for movement. it’s like earth & water venus is the being towards which the fire & air venus gravitate. [source]
-----
i’m yet to meet a cancer venus that really enjoys cooking. i know a lot of people with this placement and they all really appreciate it when someone cooks for them and often comment on people’s cooking and know the best places where to eat…also they’re often on some type of special diet, be it out of their own will or due to health issues. but i’ve never see one that loves to cook. So what is Virgo Vision? It’s a penetrating style of seeing the world, people and situations. People with V.V. will auto-scan for nuance and connections that are missed by most people. And then they cram the data into a complex details matrix that assesses it at Warp Speed.
Within microseconds, the Virgo or Virgo Rising formulates a multi-level analysis. They’re witty, informed and lauded for their ability to wisely parse complex circumstances. They streamline convoluted thought and design processes. They save people and organizations significant time and money via their V.V.
[...]
It’s an asset but also a liability. How could something so clearly a mercurial super-power be in any way the latter? Well, they can’t turn it off. Ever.
People with V.V. don’t have the comfort of overlooking something, to ease their passage through a stressful work week. Their mind is perpetually analyzing and making pertinent connections; if they are in an environment where people don’t care about those connections, the Virgo Vision doesn’t power down and go into ‘rest mode.’ It up-regulates into even faster operation.
If the person with V.V. can’t share or be understood, they gaze inward, running over every error, wrong step, miscalculation and poorly worded comment ever.
Details and data swarm their consciousness. They either freeze or default into a Saint Virgo stance. Without an appropriate outlet, the Virgo Rising or Virgo Sun person makes themselves the project. Every glance in the mirror is a call for a fix. Each meal a breakdown of the macros. They don’t view the scenery; they map it.
These people can lose the plot and replace it with a list of continuity errors and anachronisms.  They’re well beyond that old cliche about not seeing “the forest for the trees.”  People with Virgo Vision know the topography, soil components, leaf blight, mythology associated with that style of tree and the article they read on forestry four years ago. Mercury Retrograde
When Mercury is retrograde at birth, the thinking processes are generally more acute, and the sense of humor rather quirky. People with Mercury retrograde take in information differently than those with Mercury direct in their natal charts. How many people are born with a retrograde Mercury? Roughly 18%.
Some people with this position struggle with doubts about their perceptions or their ability to learn, and there can be a lot of thinking, double-checking, and reviewing of thoughts and ideas before communicating them.
Neptune Retrograde
Those born with Neptune retrograde in their chart might tend to hide their vulnerabilities, their spiritual side, or their compassion, as they feel somewhat uncomfortable expressing them. These things can very well exist, and they run deep, but Neptune retrograde natives prefer to keep these things private. Deep faith can be missing, so that these people might be naturally mistrustful. When they are left to fill in the blanks, they might expect the worst. There can be a big fear of dreaming too big dreams, as they are afraid of being let down. [source]
. . . . .
Mercury is the planet of communication and how you express yourself and learn, and so those of you born with Mercury retrograde tend to feel very misunderstood. The energy of Mercury retrograde in the natal chart is actually very similar to that of Mercury in the 12th house (and how misunderstood you must be if you have natal Mercury retrograde in your 12th house!). You have difficulty communicating clearly with others, with being heard, with understanding others as well, and with using your mental energy properly.
[...]
There’s a tremendous amount of mental energy and power that can be unlocked with Mercury retrograde in the natal chart. It just usually takes a while to let go of the fear, isolation, or insecurity that accompanies this position. The insecurity can really kill the Mercury retrograde native. You need to work on developing confidence in your mental abilities, your ideas, your opinions, your words. Growing up feeling misunderstood no doubt caused that insecurity, but it’s a skin you must shed in adulthood, or you get stuck in that insecurity forever. You can be a quiet person, one who stumbles over their words publicly, or who is unfailingly truthful. You can have a wicked sense of humor because you interpret what you see in the world differently and point out the things that are so ridiculously absurd.
[...]
When transit (moving) Mercury is retrograde, this is when you thrive. The rest of us are completely hopeless, and you’re speeding along. This is because the retrograde energy is natural to you, so when Mercury is in his normal forward motion, you’re uncomfortable, but when he’s retrograde, you’re at home. This is a time when you can make great progress and really get your point across. You should make the most of the times when Mercury is retrograde. You can also work on better understanding the proper ways for you to communicate, express yourself, and learn during Mercury retrograde, so pay close attention to that. [source]
-----
However, when Mercury is in retrograde, this planet is way more introspective, thoughtful, and skeptical than usual. When moving direct, Mercury is fast-paced and eager to connect the dots, and while it might make you seem like a slow thinker when you have Mercury retrograde in your birth chart, it's only because you're doing a lot more thinking than anyone else would even think to do.
The truth is, being born during Mercury retrograde gives you an advantage when it comes to contemplative and all-encompassing thinking. You see every angle of an idea because you naturally have a tendency to look backwards and sideways, which is something Mercury is not naturally aiming to do. You have a tendency to review your choices and re-do things over and over again until you get it right. [source]

With North Node in Libra, our South Node is in Aries. With North Node in the seventh house, our South Node is in the first house.
A tendency to rely on the self so much as to alienate important others in our lives, to be excessively competitive to the point of a me-first attitude, to take things personally, and to be impatient, rash, and impulsive at the expense of personal happiness are some of the issues this position suggests. With this position, we need to work on sensitizing ourselves to the needs of others, to learn tact and cooperation, to put ourselves in another’s shoes, and to let go of an overwhelming self-consciousness that is blocking our desire to win. We are often afraid of the demands that a partner might put on us, and we don’t naturally look for feedback, preferring to act on the moment—on our own hunches and impulses. But for however hard we push ourselves, our plans will be blocked until we stop to consider the other side. We tend to go it alone, often passing up opportunities for growth because we are too focused on our own personal survival. Our impulses and instincts are overloaded, lacking in perspective, and acting upon them will often bring us strife—that is, until we learn to look at the other side, perhaps through the eyes of another. Through partnership, and through cooperation with others, we will attain the inner balance necessary for us to achieve our goals. [source]

Creator tag game
Tagged by @notthatiwilleverwriteit! Thank you bunches ~
1. When did your creative journey begin?
As far as writing is concerned, I started roughly 3,5-4 years ago. Fiction, that is. I've been writing non-fiction stuff since college and it sort of part of my job. But writing isn't my sole hobby. I also dabble in vector illustration. Those go back years.
2. What is the earliest creative piece you remember making?
I didn't take leisure writing up until adulthood. My therapist suggested I take up a new hobby to combat depression, and ultimately it helped me channel my frustration. Pouring energy onto paper has an odd therapeutic power.
3. What is your favourite and least favourite medium?
My laptop for writing and iPad for making corrections. It's odd how changing a format provides a new perspective. Reading what you write on a tablet device (or with a night mode on) gives you a fresh eye. Of course, I always rely on cloud-based services, such as Google Docs and Zoho Docs. Google offers a wide range of useful add-ons to improve your texts, while Zoho has a fancy (and free) writing assistant, which is almost as good as Grammarly's. Writing by hand is... well, problematic. University and postgrad completely murdered my penmanship.
4. What, if any, training do you have?
While not directly linked to writing, I have had applied linguistics and verbal communication courses in uni. In general cognitive studies do pertain the correlation between the mind and language, so you could say that I do have some formal training.
5. Is there a medium you wish you were better at?
I would love to get better at writing longer pieces. I tend to gravitate towards shorter stories and more concise way of narration because it gives me certain restrictions. I have to choose words with caution and I also have to condense my scenes, which helps me make them more intense. While this is how I prefer it, I would still like to try a "looser" narration style. Most readers I know fancy multi-chapter stuff with long-winded expounding and musings, which isn't exactly my forte.
6. Do you have a favourite muse?
Not in particularly. Sometimes I make moodboards for scenes.
7. What insecurities do you have about your creations?
Either having too much of a dry narrative or slipping into graphomania territory. I love beautiful stylistic devices and I love getting into the character's heads and writing about their psychology (it's evident from what I post here, huh). The problem is, I can get carried away attempting to put their inner worlds on paper, and thus the scene lags and drags. Sometimes the abundant details become redundant and add nothing of the essence to the story. It's a pain to cut them out then.
8. What do you think are your best skills in your creative field?
Since I know a bit about the way language, the eye and human mind function, I can use that to my advantage to push the reader's emotions where I need em'. It's also easy to come up with fresh stylistic devices once you know how the language works. If you know how something is made up, you can take it apart and break it to suit your needs.
9. What advice would you give an amateur creative?
I have two completely antipathic pieces of advice. First, analyze what you read. Try to figure out what makes the text or the sentence work. Pinpoint stylistic devices, note the rhythm and flow, note the structure. Define what type of narration it is. See if you can figure out the popular tropes, archetypes and clichés used by the author. Figure out whether they add to the story or whether they take away from it. Soak it all up. Second, once you get the hang of it, drop reading for some time. When you like something, it's easy to begin inadvertently copying it. An expression might be stuck in your head, or it could be a sentence pattern — either way there's a risk you'd end up copying someone's style, and thus you'll never find one of your own. Who's attention are you going to catch if you end up being one of many facsimiles? It's far too important to find your very own distinct voice.
10. Who are some of your favourite creatives?
I've always enjoyed the creations of Bloomsbury Group and the rich mythos created by H. P. Lovecraft. I used to hate Faulkner during my uni days, but sometime later I came to appreciate certain techniques he used in Sound and Fury and As I Lay Dying. As far as fic writers are concerned, years ago I fell in love with coincident. Sadly, they are no longer active, but the truth is, their writing is so powerful that years after my love for them hasn't dwindled.

How To Get A Taurus Man To Chase You
Are you head over heels for a charismatic handsome guy who has a birth date between April 20th and May 20th?
Do you feel as though he has been ignoring you, or that he is not noticing you, which is contrary to your expectations?
Maybe, you feel he is sending out signals that he is unapproachable or some way out of your league or off limits?
This can sometimes be the case with this zodiac star sign, but not always. The macho side of Taurus prevents him from being too forward in the early stages of a relationship.
A man born in Taurus is represented by the bull which gives you an indication of his masculine side. However, did you know that his ruling planet is Venus the planet of love? which indicates an emotional inner self when allowed to develop naturally.
If you want a romantic relationship with this complex character, this article will show you how to get a Taurus man to chase you. Also, how to keep him interested in you so he has no need to look elsewhere for love.
Ways On How To Get a Taurus Man To Chase You
The secret to making a Taurus man chase you is to do the things that will attract him to you.
But before we go into that, it is important that you get to understand the kind of woman that the Taurus male desires.
Taurus men have characteristics that indicate that they tend to gravitate towards women with certain qualities.
Women who are confident, sexy, straightforward, and flirtatious. Being able to cook, and desire to be a good homemaker are assets that are appealing to this masculine zodiac sign.
A woman who is interested in capturing the heart of a Taurus man must also be aware that he is likely to steer a wide path away from a woman who is too pushy. He has a stubborn and sometimes abrupt personality with anyone who is trying to control him.
Understanding how to creep inside his mind and sow the seeds of desire for you is the key to learning how to make a Taurus man chase you and become obsessed with you. Something that may short-circuit this process for you is a book by leading relationship expert Anna Kovach.

8 Tips on How To Get a Taurus Man to Chase You
Let him pursue you
The bull prefers it when a woman makes the first move because it signals that a woman is interested.
However, once you express your interest in the bull, it is advisable that you step back and let him do the chasing.
Remember a Taurus man loves to take his time. He does not like to be pushed to do things, which means that if you keep pursuing him, he might not get a rush from the thrill of the chase.
Allow him to take things at his own pace.
Something that has been an ice breaker for many women learning how to make a Taurus man chase you is Text Chemistry. This is a program that uses specific wording that can be sent by text to raise the interest of a man.
This technique has achieved great success in repairing relationships after a breakup and also making a man passionately inclined towards the woman who messaged him. Discover the exact words to message him here.
Exude Confidence
Taurus men love confident women. With that in mind, if you want the bull to chase you, self-confidence is a must-have quality. Self-confidence is sexy and attractive. Being confident means that you are happy with who you are.
Additionally, a confident woman is one who is ready to take what life throws at her. She takes risks and does not feel the need to conform to other people’s standards and beliefs.
A confident woman is one who is able to not only steer a conversation with her Taurus crush but also listen keenly to pick up on the topics that are of interest to him.
However, remember that the bull does not like a know it all woman. So, do not be over-confident because that will put him off.
 Make him jealous
A Taurus man can be a jealous lover, and he will certainly not want to compete for your love and attention. That said, making the Taurus bull slightly jealous is a tactful way of making him realize your worth.
You can make your Taurus male jealous by letting him know about a fun activity you had with your friends, or even talking about your ex, but keep it low key.
However, do not get too extreme because the idea is not to hurt him, you are just trying to make him realize how lucky he is to have you. Hurting the sensitive Taurus bull will make him lose interest instead.
Flaunt your femininity
The Taurus man tends to have a strong awareness of his masculinity and is drawn to a woman who is feminine. The secret to making him develop an interest in you is by being sexy. Wearing a stylish outfit, particularly one that discreetly showcases your curves.
According to a recent study, women who smell a certain way are more attractive. So, if you want to draw the bull’s attention, it is important that you pay more attention to the scent you wear from today henceforth.
Flirt away
Taurus men love flirting. That said, if you want to win the attention of the Taurus man, it is important that you familiarize yourself with his flirting style.
The bull’s flirting style is subtle physical contact, which can involve gently touching your arms, gently caressing your hair, or staring deeply into your eyes.
Now that you know his flirting style, you can return this technique by occasionally touching his arms or shoulders during one of those conversations with him. You can also flirt through your scent while maintaining deep eye contact during your date.
Be authentic
If you want the Taurus man to gravitate towards you, it is important that you are real and straightforward. Remember you cannot pretend to be somebody you are not for too long. That will backfire on you once the bull gets to find out.
That said, you need to be comfortable in your own skin, and show your Taurus crush your true personality if you want him to chase you. If you want to create sexual chemistry between you check out Taurus Man Secrets here.
Compliment him
Taurus men want to know that you support their efforts and hard work. If you want to win the bull’s heart, it is important that you compliment him for his determination, for instance.
In other words, complimenting your Taurus crush for his successes and achievements, will not only make him feel unique to you but also make him draw closer to you.
I have included the YouTube video below which gives you some first-hand tips on how to get a Taurus man to chase you. I hope this and my article will give you all you need to win the heart of your love interest.
youtube
Do not be a drama queen
Are you overly emotional? Well, you need to be honest with yourself because Taurus men do not like drama.
Therefore, if you want to win the heart of the bull, it is important that you learn to control your emotions.
Avoid being the kind of woman who is always whining, pestering, or nagging about every little thing.
For instance, do not try to control his time or berate him for wanting to remain in contact with his friends.
A Taurus man is likely to be interested in many things. These may be sporting activities or hobbies. He will respect and draw closer to you if don’t try to put yourself in their place. Become interested and involved in his pass-times and he will love you because of it.
A Taurus man is likely to be involved or deeply interested in sport, and this is possibly why he seems to be reserved. It’s not that he does not find you attractive it’s possible he is too focused on his hobby.
If this is the case for you, then you must find a way of attracting his attention without being pushy. Listening to a short video about how to text a Taurus man may just be the key to your perfect relationship. Find out here.
Final Thoughts
If you are eyeing a Taurus male, we believe these tips will bridge the gap between you and make him more interested in knowing more about you.
From his traits and characteristics, and the qualities he wants in a woman, you will definitely be able to ensure that things work out in your favor.
Remember you do not have to do everything overnight.
Take a few minutes to read an extract from Taurus Man Secrets so that you know exactly how to get a Taurus man to chase you. Add the tips in this article to create a desire in his mind and he will not be able to resist you.
Winning the Taurus man and making him yours is a systematic journey. Remember the idea is not to make yourself sweet, then change when you get him. Be genuine about how you feel about the bull but remember to let him do the chasing. Pretense will eventually drive him away.

WHEW BOY, I’ve been itchin’ to draw these designs up for quite a while now and finally got around to it, haha. I’ve struggled a lot with my personal style for MLP ponies, trying to make something nice out of “realism with MLP proportions” with.... mixed results, lmao. but I was inspired by @jayrockin‘s tiny sapient ungulate au to draw up my own more specevo designs, and I think I finally got something here I rly like
while I took heavy inspiration from Jay’s au (esp for the pegasus wings, which I will discuss in further detail in that section), I genuinely want to make something of my own here, and hope that comes through. if I’ve failed to do so, I apologize Jay, and I’ll be happy to delete or shift designs as needed-- I don’t want to infringe on ur designs or anything,,
anyways, I have a lot to say abt these designs, so I’ll throw it under the cut
BASE
while this is basically the starting point for my ponies-- the “unaligned” base-- it got me thinking about how it could possibly appear in-canon. magic is such a critical element of pony life, it would have to be something pretty drastic to strip a pony of all unique, class-defining features. which leads me to believe that if it would ever occur in the show, it would have happened in Starlight’s equality town. I imagine this wouldn’t necessarily be on purpose, but perhaps an unintended consequence removing a pony’s cutie mark? or maybe just a consequence of the particular spell Starlight used? either way, she prolly wouldn’t complain about “equalizing” her townsfolk on yet another level (tho she might have to explain why she gets to keep her horn for the removal spell). either way, it’s fun to imagine a uniform, blank set of unaligned ponies..
I had a hell of a time trying to figure out the relationship b/t magic and evolution, and how that translated to hexapods vs. tetrapods and the presence of a magic horn. my tentative lore is that alicorns are the basal ancestors of ponies (briefly: vertebrate hexapod clade >> ungulate-analogue clade >> magic-horn clade >> alicorns >> ponies). the eventual division of labor in early pony society redirected magical energy towards the most essential morphology for the three classes of labor, resulting in earth ponies, unicorns, and pegasi. though the genetic structures for horns, hoof-nails, and wings (+ secondary traits) are still present in any given pony’s genetic code-- it’s simply a matter of whether the switch for a particular set of traits is activated or not
physical remnants of horns and wings are still subtly present in ponies who don’t have those structures, in the form of a small bump on the skull and reduced wing-nubs just behind the front legs. often, the bump or nubs will have some identifying pelt pattern, though this isn’t always the case
now since my take on ponies is that they’re ~technically~ all genetically alicorns, this has the potential for more of a gradient b/t classes. in rare cases, an individual may be born with two different classes of magic+traits activated at once, dubbed a “bicorn”. however, without the regulation of a powerful alicorn to consciously divvy out the traits/magic in an individual’s body (as was the case for Twilight’s ascension), these traits/magic don’t express to the full extent that they could have if they’d been activated individually. as an example, I think Fluttershy would absolutely be a “bicorn”-- a pony who has the innate earth-bound magic of an earth pony, but the physique and wings of a pegasus (and I would hc her with small, underdeveloped hoof-nails as well, in this case). without the full extent of air magic to keep her aloft, Fluttershy can barely keep up with her swift pegasi cousins, and she doesn’t have the brawn typically associated with earth ponies. she’s still a very successful pony in her own right, but she had to find unique ways to fill in the gaps between earth and pegasi life that weren’t necessarily inherent to either lifestyle. due to their perceived ‘lack’ in cohesion and magic, some ponies call bicorns “the beggar’s alicorn” (or if I wanna be rly mean and up the age rating on this au, “the bastard alicorn”)
now past all that nonsense abt the classes, I want to detail some universal traits among pony anatomy.
for one, ponies have dexterous lips that they use to hold and handle delicate objects, much like manatees. this is basically reused from my past suggestion for Jayrockin’s own pony designs, but retrofit for my take on pony faces. since my faces have more pointed, upturned noses, I figure that the lips could hold an object in place, while rabbit-like nose-twitching could direct the angle of the object (like for writing). the bottom lip may still be able to help in angling, but the nose is the more directive force, in this design. this also makes it so the tip of a pencil is up in a pony’s direct line of sight, even if the pencil is a simple straight-line stick rather than more ergonomically-designed. this is important to me b/c I don’t know if more complex writing structures would necessarily be available in early pony society, so if ponies only have simple sticks to write with, I still want them to see what they’re writing lmao
this also directly influences ponies’ long, flexible necks. since pony heads are treated as an extra limb for dexterity (especially in those ponies without horns), the head needs to comfortably reach different parts of the body
pony “hooves” are essentially meaty mitts covering three inner toes. the thick padding and leathery skin usually obscures the internal anatomy, though sometimes indentations are visible (especially in earth ponies). the middle toe is the main anchor of support, with the side toes providing extra support. they also allow for some dexterity, as the side toes can pinch together well enough to even hold thin objects like pencils. while the overall construction of the legs makes dexterous use of the "hooves” a bit difficult, it’s not uncommon to see certain professions gravitate towards hoof use over lip use. many earth pony artists, for example, tend to use their hooves so they can keep their faces an appropriate distance away from their pieces to view the “big picture”, and painters in particular prefer the wide strokes they can get with their hooves
UNICORN
unicorn horns have a keratin shell with an inner base of bone. the center of the bone houses a thick bundle of neurons which extends back into the base of the brain. the keratin covering is composed of overlapping layers that grow into place as the unicorn ages (the tip is the oldest, while the base is the youngest). most newborn unicorns are born without a horn, but the first layer of the horn quickly breaks skin and grows into place within a few weeks of birth. a groove runs up the dorsal side of the horn, acting as a funnel for magic, which then spills into and out of the lips between keratin layers
unicorn spines tend to be rather long, consequently leading to long necks, torsos, and tails. their skulls are also usually a bit long compared to others. this overall length usually isn’t obvious when looking at a unicorn on their own, but next to any other class, they look a bit stretched
additionally, unicorns tend to style their hair long as well, coveting flowing tresses. hair appears in several different places on the body besides the head/neck and tail, such as the chin/jaw, throat, ear tips, and fetlocks. while individuals from other classes can sometimes grow hair in these extra places, it’s a rather rare trait, and seems to be associated more with bicorns than full-blood pegasi or earth ponies. interestingly, hair only seems to sprout from the end-half of unicorn tails rather than the full length as seen in other classes-- some ponies joke that unicorns’ first ancestors stole hair from their tails to fill out the rest of their bodies
PEGASUS
so this is where I more heavily reference Jayrockin’s designs, and where I apologize if I didn’t make my wing designs unique enough from Jay’s... I just LOVE the look of cartilage-lobe wings, and it makes so much more sense than *suddenly feathers* in pony anatomy, imo (unless I were to just make all ponies’ fur/hair highly-specialized feathers, which is.... I mean it’s not a bad idea, but I’m not super into it)
anyways, pegasus wings vary across individuals, with different shapes and sizes leading to different flight styles. all wings are too small to support a pony without magic, but there is still a sense of relative loading and wingspan that leads different modes of movement. all wings have four fingers, with the first digit usually serving as a kind of alula. the cartilage of the lobes can reach as far as halfway up the length of the fingers, though they can be smaller. due to the lobes, the fingers only have one joint about halfway down the finger, near the start of the cartilage. the cartilage spines near the elbow also have one joint, and can range from 2-4 on a wing. pegasus tails are much stiffer and straighter than those of other classes in order to support tail spines and webbing for flight. 2-4 pairs of spines sprout from the base of the tail and are constructed similarly to the spines on the wings. sometimes the webbing of the back edge of the wings and the front edge of the tail connect, but this is uncommon
pegasi are generally the tallest of the classes, with long, thin legs and necks providing ample height. to handle the forces of powered flight, pegasi torsos are much stiffer than those of other classes. while pegasus wings aren’t especially muscular due to the reliance on wind magic, they still bulk up the torso with thick pectorals (still on the fence over whether they need a shallow keel tho..)
pegasi usually don’t have upturned snouts, but rather a straight slope with a small snout tip, giving the overall skull an aerodynamic wedge shape. their ears are also smaller to cut back on wind disturbance
pegasi hair tends to grow rather short, and even then individuals will usually keep it cropped short so it’s less of a hassle while flying. tail hair generally only sprouts from the very tip of the tail, sometimes extending down some of the underside of the tail. unlike the mysterious short range of tail hair in unicorns, this growth pattern is a direct result of the tail spines/webbing. while pegasus hair is sparse, pegasus fur tends to be thick and fluffy, especially around the torso and neck. this helps insulate pegasi when flying high in the chilly skies
EARTH
since earth pony magic seems to be driven by tactile connection to the earth via their hooves, I gave them hoof-nails as a more distinct conduit for their magic. they’re designed after elephant toenails, so they’re thick and blunt
besides that, earth ponies have bulky, thick physiques to match their typically labor-heavy lifestyles. not much more to say since that’s a p universal hc for earth ponies so ¯|_(ツ)_/¯

4, 5, 16 & 19 💋💋💋
hi daria thank you sm for the ask!!!
4. Share a sentence or paragraph from your writing that you're really proud of (explain why, if you like)
hmm, idk if i have a “favorite” sentence/paragraph but one that sticks out to me for some reason is from my eren fic veronica!, where i write ‘you felt yourself hesitating, reluctant. suddenly it hit you. he did completely ignore your existence, he did fuck you like he loved you just to drop off the face of the earth, he did cheat on you that one time’. this paragraph, and the 2 that came before it rings in my mind bc i realize that i was lowkey projecting my past experience In relationships into this story, and encapsulated my inner battle with conflicting feelings toward someone i love but they did me wrong, more than once sometimes. (no one has broken into my house or anything crazy like that God forbid, but ive been spammed with text messages and calls, felt betrayed , left alone and all that extra stuff) so ig i just wanted to express the complexity of relationships?? 😭 and i had am having a bad eren brain rot rn so😀
5. What character that you're writing do you most identify with?
hmm, it sounds cliché but i do relate with black y/n or reader the most HAHQHQ . for obvious reasons bc they’re supposed to be us but idk.. fics like that really give me an escape from the real world and make me forget why im sad or depressed or tired or whatever, it lets me express myself and i enjoy reading and writing it:) other examples are two oc’s ive created in my book on wp about todoroki and dabi (link to these are in my navi post) but yeah!
16. Tried anything new with your writing lately? (style, POV, genre, fandom?)
uhh, i want to start writing more ‘poetically’ in terms of my style, i feel like what i write isn’t good and what i do write isn’t enough. like not just writing fun things or slutty things or yandere things but writing them in a way that sounds poetic, like what it feels like to fall in love, or what season describes a person or something like that . in terms of fandoms i have so many drafts i just need the time to get to them all and perfect them😩 i want to start writing for genshin more bc i started playing and i love ittt and the works i come across with genshin characters are so good and top tier. i also wanna improve the types of yanderes i write, considering i have one of gojo, and have two in the drafts of reiner from aot and suga from haikyuu
19. Is there something you always find yourself repeating in your writing? (favourite verb, something you describe 'too often, trope you can't get enough of?)
one thing i don’t like about myself when i write is being too repetitive unintentionally, but when i do find something like that it’s like certain tropes when it comes to the reader/oc and the character (i.e. a couple with relationship problems and it’s angsty, the emotionless boyfriend takin it too far and not being affectionate to the point it damages their relationship to the point where the reader gets depressed she wants to leave im projecting again) or something along those lines . that leads me to my next point, i tend to project aspects of my personality into the oc/reader too much bc it gives me comfort but i should expand my “palette” a bit and write them differently then how i would act (bubbly or a brat or a bimbo or positive or something). whenever i write yandere i to always gravitate towards the ‘nice polite guy who always smiles and could never do no wrong but is different behind closed doors and is a obsessed maybe perverted sicko). idk why i like the idea of someone putting on a façade like that but they’re just *chefs kiss*. ik there are others but i can’t think of them rn💀😭
sorry this took me foreverrrr to write but it was fun!

Why Read Your Horoscope When You Can Read Your Whole Birth Chart?

Why Read Your Horoscope When You Can Read Your Whole Birth Chart?
This birth chart how-to was originally published in May of 2017, shortly before astrology-mania reached its peak altitude, which now hovers somewhere between 50,000 feet and Pluto. We figured it was time for a refresh. If you’re tired of skipping over the part of your horoscope that waxes poetic about the implications of your rising sign, learn how to read your full birth chart below.
I
love astrology. I couldn’t care less if it’s “accurate.” It’s fun and harmless. And, as an ever-prideful Leo, there are few things I enjoy more than reading about myself on the internet. In fact, I spent the better part of my spring 2015 college lectures educating myself on astrology’s origins and nuances because I couldn’t get enough.
When my interest blossomed into a blog, Bossy Planets (where I eventually garnered hundreds of questions a day), I was surprised to learn that many of my fellow horoscope enthusiasts knew little of their astrological cocktails. You know, like the planets and houses and asteroids that bubble beneath the surface of the basic zodiac wheel. That’s probably because you can’t determine your full natal chart with your birth date alone. There are many websites (like this one) that will calculate it for you — but you need your exact time and city of birth. It’s worth the extra effort though, trust me. Natal charts delve far deeper into your psyche than your average weekly horoscope, dissecting various celestial placements at the time of your birth to give you a fuller idea of how they may affect your personality. Once I studied mine, I was hooked.
I’m not sure where you fall on the astrology spectrum. Maybe you think it’s dumb, maybe you read it every week just in case, maybe you consult the stars on what to eat for breakfast. Regardless of your level of interest, a full natal chart reading is an interesting canvas on which to explore your personality. If you’re one of those people who never felt understood by your sun sign, who knows? Maybe you’ll find you relate more to other aspects of your zodiac. Below, I’ve broken down the guiding principles of astrology to help you read your full chart. It’s a starter kit, if you will, complete with all the vagaries and self-indulgent details that make astrology so appealing to begin with.
The Sun Sign
The 12 zodiac constellations — observed and used in Ancient Rome, though their origins can be traced even earlier — are positioned along the “path” of the sun as seen from Earth. Your sun sign is determined by which zodiac constellation is behind the sun on the date of your birth. This is the one you no doubt already know; the most commonly known and important aspect of your birth chart. Essentially, your sun sign speaks to your most basic identity. It represents your ego, your daily actions, the dynamic expression of your will.
As a Leo, I would describe myself as outspoken, creative and affectionate. Although my sister would say I’m basically an “emo lion” and an anonymous user on Tumblr once used the phrases “obsessed with yourself,” “curious bugger” and “somewhat of an outcast.” Take that as you will.
The Elements
There are four elements in the zodiac, between which the 12 zodiac signs are split evenly (so, three each). These three are believed to be most compatible with each other due to their commonalities and shared values.
Fire Signs (Aries, Leo and Sagittarius) are known for their passion, confidence and strong gut instincts. Water Signs (Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces) are the most sensitive, idealistic and kind. Air Signs (Gemini, Aquarius and Libra) are typically the most communicative, social and open-minded. Earth Signs (Taurus, Capricorn and Virgo) are renowned for their practicality, stability, realism and persistence.
Elements tend to paint the signs with broad strokes, but they’re fun to think about when analyzing your friend, family and romantic relationship dynamics. (As a fire sign, I find I gravitate more towards air signs.)
The Moon Sign
Arguably, your moon sign is just as important as your sun sign. It’s determined by which zodiac constellation the moon was in at your exact time of birth. Your moon sign speaks to your emotional nature and inner self. It tends to reflect your personality when you’re alone — or deep within your comfort zone. It’s considered more feminine and reflects your relationships with important women in your life. So next time you’re eating chips in bed, spiraling down a conspiracy theory YouTube rabbit hole and crying on the phone with your mom, maybe blame your moon sign.
Also, some believe your moon sign is more accurate in predicting the root of your subconscious thoughts than your sun sign. My Gemini moon has given me comfort whenever I’ve felt misunderstood, because this placement is often characterized as having complex and valuable inner monologues.
The Houses
Okay. Houses. Have you ever heard someone say something like, “Mars is in your third house”? They’re referring to which slice of the sky Mars was in at the time of your birth. The house system divides the sky into 12 sections and, depending on which planets and constellations fall into which sections when you were born, provide insight into specific areas of your life. Your first house is determined by which zodiac constellation was rising on the eastern horizon at the exact moment you were born, which is why both time and location of your birth are needed to determine it. The rest of your houses count up sequentially from there. Sites like this one can provide these visuals for your chart!
Here’s what each of the houses might tell you about your personality and life:
1. The First House represents self-image 2. The Second House represents money and finances 3. The Third House represents close platonic relationships and our immediate environments 4. The Fourth House represents family and childhood 5. The Fifth House represents self-expression, creativity and entertainment 6. The Sixth House represents work and health 7. The Seventh House represents marriage and long-term partnerships 8. The Eighth House represents both transformation and sexuality 9. The Ninth House represents belief systems and faith 10. The Tenth House represents careers and responsibility 11. The Eleventh House represents aspirations and personal goals 12. The Twelfth House represents privacy, secrets and karma
If your head is spinning right now, just pay attention to your first, fourth, seventh and tenth house. They’re typically given more weight.
The interesting thing about houses is they may reveal or confirm your strengths and weaknesses. When I learned that Aries was in my second house, for example, I wasn’t surprised. Aries is a sign characterized by ambition, passion and volatile emotion, and when it’s in my second house, which represents money and finances, it makes sense that I’m very career-minded and feel that my money needs to be self-made. It also makes sense that I fall victim to impulsive spending (shout-out to my unnecessary — but also necessary — shoe purchase a week ago). Oops.
The Rising Sign
A quick word on your rising sign. Also known as “the ascendant,” your rising sign is the zodiac constellation that falls into your first house. It’s the most fickle and difficult to nail down — you may get different results if you shift your birth time even a few minutes. Many astrologists say this one is your third most important placement, after your sun and moon signs. As mentioned, your ascendant represents your public identity. It can often manifest in your clothing or really any decisions related to your outward-facing identity (such as hair color, piercings or overall style). It also might symbolize how you respond to your immediate surroundings and your attitude towards everyday life.
For me, learning my rising sign made me feel emboldened to get a septum piercing — even though my friends said it’d be too “weird” — because my Aquarius ascendant is defined by individuality and often rebellious style choices.
 The Planets
Some argue that planets are even more important than houses. In the process of their orbits, planets move in and out of the zodiac constellations, lingering in some much longer than others, depending on the speed and size of their orbits. When you’re born, imagine the night sky freezing in place. Which planets are in which constellations? The answer will help you read into your personality even more.
The Inner Planets
Mercury, Venus and Mars are called the inner planets due to their changeability and closeness to Earth. For that reason, precision with your birth place and time is far more important for these. The signs that fall within the inner-planet placements dictate your core personality traits, needs and desires.
Mercury is the planet of communication, so determining where it is when you’re born will tell you something about how you learn and converse. For instance, those with earth signs in Mercury (Taurus, Capricorn, Virgo) will likely be very reasonable, observant people. Those with air signs in Mercury (Gemini, Aquarius, Libra) are most effective communicators when writing and public speaking. Fire signs in Mercury (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius) are passionate and sometimes hot-headed in arguments. Water signs in Mercury are highly emotional and likely to avoid confrontation.
Venus — named for the Roman Greek goddess of love, Aphrodite — rules a person’s love life. It speaks to the ways in which you express affection, what you look for in a partner and generally what you find attractive.
Mars is the planet of conflict, aggression and action. It represents the physical expression of your initiative and drive — often applicable to both your sex life and ambition in business — and speaks to the ways you channel desire and anger, particularly for those with fire signs in Mars. (My Mars placement often reminds me to reflect before I act and channel the balance-seeking energy of the Libra sign.)
Your inner planet placements may appear contradictory, but that’s part of what makes them fun — they delve into our own contradictions, too. For example, being a Leo Venus, I’m a sloppy love puppy who thrives on meaningful conversation and is generally a bit emotional. My Virgo Mercury placement, on the other hand, seems to speak to a detached nature — like my hatred of small talk, maybe.
The Outer Planets
The outer planets — Uranus, Neptune and Pluto (RIP) — have the longest and widest orbits, which makes them generational placements. People born within a few years of you will likely have the same placements for all the outer planets, which makes them less consequential in each individual person’s chart. The longest an outer planet will stay in the same sign is about 15 years.
Uranus rules change, Neptune rules dreams, Pluto rules power. Your placements can suggest what you work towards in these areas throughout your life. For those around my age — 21 and smack-dab in the middle of Generation Y — you’ll find both your Uranus and Neptune placements in Capricorn, indicating a strong inclination towards equality and social justice. Feel free to use that as a counter-argument the next time someone tells you millennials are useless.
The Social Planets
Jupiter and Saturn are sometimes called the social planets because their orbits are wider and longer than those of the inner planets, but smaller and shorter than those of the outer planets. They represent and influence how people relate to society.
Jupiter is the planet of luck, education and growth. The Jupiter placement is also seen as very philosophical and might indicate how you feel about religion.
Saturn is is all about limitations and boundaries. The Saturn placement can help reveal what you need to overcome and the restrictions you might encounter along the way — especially earlier in life.
For me, having Sagittarius in Jupiter, a restless sign, probably means I should travel more (I’m not complaining). An analysis of my Saturn placement, Pisces, known for its isolationist tendencies, might encourage me to take more risks with collaboration.
A truly comprehensive and in-depth birth chart interpretation requires research, instinct, time and resources. The details are important — even twins may find that some placements can shift within minutes. That said, you’ll rarely find two astrologists who tell you the exact same thing, because the world and the cosmos and all the people who exist within them are ever-changing and dynamic. It is important to remember, though, that these charts are designed to provide descriptions and possibilities, not absolutes. I’ve found that interpreting my chart has led me to a greater sense of self-understanding. At times, it’s given me confidence in my decisions. I’ve made it my own. Astrology should be used as a tool to enhance our lives, not dictate them.
