ALSO "day 135"? I noted yesterday that someone working on the show said sOMEWHERE that each season is about a year and I was like "ehhhh" but I guess that's not far off.

That makes the whole catradora arc even more angsty tbh. For some reason I thought the whole show took place over like a single year or so. But FOUR OR FIVE YEARS?? they pined for each other while trying to murder each other for MULTIPLE YEARS????

Anyway yeah this is when we find out he's just a clone of Horde Prime the Big Baddy of the series, Hordak is a "defective" clone, he was sent to "the front lines" to die and fell through a portal into Etheria. "with nothing but a broken ship, I built an empire..." the whole point of the portal is to bring Horde Prime through, which means that's what he was doing when he tried before and ended up with A Magic Baby (Adora) instead.

The animation in the flashback is clearly inspired by Lotte Reiniger which is super cool??

Back to the Crimson Waste, they've gotten themselves out of the hole, and Adora's upset because the whole point of this mission is her getting more info about Mara with the hopes of understanding her own past better

Huntara tells her minions to get lost, admits that the war scared the shit out of her and that's why she ran, but she knows that's bullshit and she promises to help Adora stop the war :D and then leads them to the place they were originally looking for: the ruins of Mara's ship!

So, since last week when ch. 1060 was released I've been thinking of something. As I adressed some days ago here. So... Many have said that Im’s weapon was something similar to a spaceship while I do not see that AT ALL. In my opinion that thing looks pretty much like a snake or a dragon. So, many people in the community thought -as well as I did- that that weapon can be no other than Uranus, right? And it makes a lot of sense that Im has an ancestral weapon since what could give them such power if not something that scary? How could they be the king of the world if they don’t have an extremely powerful tool so nobody can defeat them?

Ok, so, let’s say that that thing that destroyed Lulusia was no other than the third ancestral weapon, Uranus. Right? It would make so much sense since we know that Pluton (Ruler of Hell) is buried under Wano, Poseidon (God of the Seas) is Shirahoshi who can control the sea kings and Uranus is meant to be the God of Heavens (Zeus)… so, where should Uranus live if not in the sky? Then it would be logical to think that, that thing that sent 16 destructive (that number is hella important, too. But I will discuss it later) presumably rays from heaven to the earth is in fact Uranus.

Now, back to what Uranus might be: - Pluton is probably a machine since it has plans (those Franky burned and memorized during Ennies Lobby), - Shirahoshi, a person, is Poseidon. - What could Uranus be? Probably a creature. And… do you remember what Roger had on his ship when we saw the flashbacks of him getting to Laugh Tale? The damn EGG that we only saw but had 0 info about it. So, what kind of animals hatch from eggs? Birds, and reptiles. REPTILES…. Snakes… dragons… Oh, and do dragons fly?

Surely they do, right? And… do you remember who lives over the fucking red line? YES, the CELESTIAL DRAGONS… Oh, and what is the celestial dragon’s mark? Yes! No other than “the Hoof of the Soaring Dragon”! That mark used to identify their slaves, as if the hoof of a dragon over their backs was their superiority putting a step over them. But wait… there is more! do you remember Punk Hazard? There were dragons, that were created by Vegapunk… but for who? So… what if VP who works for the WG has been asked by them to create dragons that would be similar to Uranus?

Good good, now let me show you WHY everything made sense now. So, I was scrolling through twitter where I saw someone posted a cropped photo of Zoro and Chopper. That photo came from Volume 82’s colour spread. Let me show you…

Now, take a closer look at Zoro’s clothing… doesn’t it look like a snake? Somehow like a dragon? And isn’t he looking UP? The light comes from the hanabi up in the sky! Usopp is pointing at it, they are all beautifully being illuminated by it… so, does this reminds you of something? It does for me… I don’t know but you, but what Zoro’s yukata has printed in it seems pretty similar to the silhouette over Lulusia…

But, you could say, Sashi… wtf has Zoro to do with this? well I don’t know, but we don’t really know a lot about Zoro either… so, let’s discuss what we DO know and why it might be linked to it then:

He is linked to Ryuma in some way. Not only he looks exactly like Ryuma when he was young, but he also fought him and the samurai gave Zoro his Shusui.

Shusui, the katana that killed that DRAGON attacking Wano, for which Ryuma became a Wano heroe.

Zoro, who defeated King (with Enma, let me tell you about this later pls) USING THE SAME TECHNIQUE. Both panels from when Shimotsuki Ryuma defeated the dragon (you can read it in Wanted) and Zoro’s cut King’s DRAGON attack are EXACTLY THE SAME.

also... for some reason, Dragon the leader of the RA visited Koshiro while Zoro was just a little kid training at the Shimotsuki village… why? Maybe they know something else about Zoro. Specially because we know he arrived to the village all of a sudden (that said by Koshiro to him when he thanked Zoro for being Kuina’s friend)

Cool, now, let me address something that’s also linked to Zoro, and it is about Enma and AME NO HABAKIRI. Both Oden’s swords. Enma, given by Hiyori to Zoro, and Ame being now on Momo’s hands. I have a theory that -of course wasn’t a prediction, but still is related- speaks about this… do you know what Ame no Habakiri means? Feathery Cutter of HEAVEN/ SNAKE-SLAYER. Snake… heaven…

So, we could say Zoro is related to dragons a LOT, and, even if it might be just a coincidence (at this point, there aren’t coincidences in Oda’s drawings but let’s say there are) I wouldn’t be surprised that he used our precious marimo to give us some kind of foreshadowing there… maybe a little hint of his past? Who knows, maybe he will be the one who slays that snake during the ultimate war…?

But wait… there is even more. Let’s go back to the look of that silhouette in the sky… what if it’s not some kind of snake related to Japanese culture but from Mayans? Yes! Do you know Quetzalcoatl? The feathered serpent? Let me show you a little bit of this beautiful creature!

You have the FEATHERY SERPENT (ame no habakiri) form and the God form… also the Temple of Quetzalcoatl in Teotihuacan (moon and sun pyramids) , Mexico (I’ve been there several times and it’s AMAZING)

Awesome so, does this remind you of something? It does to me… SKYPIEA! So, you probably remember Skypiea’s snake, don’t you? And also their architecture… pretty similar to these ones, right?

Cool. That’s good… now, who was the bad guy in Skypiea? Enel, right? And which was Enel’s power? RAYS! And didn’t he create the “Raigo” (Advent of Thunder)? That ball was pretty similar to the thing that destroyed Lulusia!

NO, BUT WAIT THERE IS MORE!!! THERE IS A CERTAIN ATTACK ENEL USES AGAINST LUFFY, IN WHICH, OF COURSE, IT DOES ANYTHING TO HIM SINCE HE IS MADE OF GUM… YES, THUNDER DRAGON!! Again… DRAGONS!

The dragon and snake pattern KEEPS repeating!! This is a plain parallelism with Skypeia (not to mention Nika being first addressed RIGHT THERE WITH FUCKING DRUMS! You know, now we know Luffy is in fact Nika)

But, even if everything looks "similar" we have to get something in consideration... there has been a little bit of confussion regarding those "rays" destroying Lulusia. Many people -myself included at first- thought of them being lightining like Enel's. However, if you take a closer look at how Oda draws lighting you can see how different those falling from the sky to Lulusia are to Enel's.

While lighting is always depicted with zig zag motions, Imu's attak look different. They are straight and have no continuation. (YES, IT IS ODA, IT'S IMPORTANT)

And so I thought of... if those are not lightings... what could be "spitted" by a dragon then (if not fire?) well... do you remember Kaido's attacks? Bolo Breaths look pretty similar, huh? Isn't Kaido a Dragon?

But wait, please, I know you are actually hating me RN for this… BUT I have more.

You know Enel did manage to get to the moon, right? Yep, he did. So, look what he found when he arrived to the moon? YES, THOSE CUTE CHOPPER LOOKING HABITANTS! And look what they are showing him? OH HELL YES.

A sun with SIXTEEN swirls (swirls that look like Luffy’s eyebrows when in gear 5th), Humans (that look pretty much like Mayans and Quetzalcoatl itself in his God form), probably… Lunarians? An ARC (Noah), Sea kings and AND THAT THING THAT LOOK LIKE A FUCKING SNAKE.

So can we please PLEASE start thinking URANUS IS A FUCKING SNAKE/DRAGON? Thank you.

Now, I promise I will shut up after this… You know Uranus, the planet? (jokes aside, please)

So Uranus is the seventh planet from the Sun (16 rays ➡ 1+6= 7 -also remember Doffy’s attack 16 HOLY BULLETS? I mean that man knows the secret of Marie Joise after all-)… and it is called that way of course because of the God Uranus, but… do you know that Uranus is an ICE planet?

Do you remember where does Im-sama have that GIANT strawhat? YES, FUCKING ICE.

So tell me… does Im come from the outer space? Which is their connection to Uranus? Do they have the ancestral weapon Uranus? What is their connection? Idk, but I’m sure all of this has to hide some kind of hint.

Favourite video game composers?

Where do I begin.

Fumie Kumatani is a legend among legends, responsible for some of the finest, most emotional works in the Sonic games, especially in Adventure 1 and Unleashed. At Dawn? Tricky Maze? Tikal’s theme? Gamma's theme? For True Story? Supporting Me? The Last Scene? High and Broken? Gaia Gate? Cool Edge Night? Skyscraper Scamper Day? All hers.

Jun Senoue? Hello? The perpetual banger machine? Giving us quality content since 1994? Even excluding the facemelting masterpieces that are the Crush 40 songs, I cannot possibly link all of my favorite works, my man can go from the hardest buttrock to the most somber piece. If you love an Adventure rock track, it was composed by him. Hell I even like some of his Sonic 4 work!

Tomoya Ohtani sort of replaced Senoue in the 10s, and he evolved an "anime" style, but before that his versatility had no peers and he’s also extremely prolific. The Knuckles raps, The ARK, His World, Wave Ocean (both with the help of Mariko Nanba) Crisis City (+ Classic and Modern remixes), Flame Core, End of the World, Endless Possibility, Windmill Isle Day, Rooftop Run Day (+ Classic and Modern remixes), Aquarium Park’s themes, Sea Bottom Segue, Infinite’s theme, Egg Gate, Mortar Canyon...

Kenichi Tokoi has been with us since Sonic Jam and I can't get enough of his jazzy, energetic style. You have no idea how many bangers he composed, and few people appreciate him! He gave us The Dreamy Stage, Egg Carrier’s theme (with some help from Kumatani), Mechanical Resonance, Unknown from M.E. (the good version), Battle Highway, all of Cyber Track themes, Sand Ruins, The Palace that Was Found, Unawakening Float, It Has Come To This, the Werehog Battle theme, Dragon Road Night, Jungle Joyride Night, Crimson Carnival, Planet Wisp’s themes, Terminal Velocity, Battle with Death Queen... I could go on forever. (and not Sonic related but Spaceship Strut has been living in my head rent free for years)

Hideaki Kobayashi! The one who can put an entire orchestra and choirs in a GBA soundchip! The one who gave us the delightful intro and history themes of Mega Collection! The one who made my favorite non-orchestral final boss theme (and horribly underrated) in the series! The one who gave us Solaris’s themes, the Egg Dragoon theme, Perfect Dark Gaia’s theme and Nega Wisp Armor’s themes! And easily the best staff roll theme in the series!

Yutaka Minobe is hella underrated, and his tracks often stand out in the soundtracks. He did The Doom, Ice Mountain, Music Plant, Lost Jungle, Deep Woods and the third Infinite boss theme.

Same for Mariko Nanba, who gave us Circus Park, Dusty Desert Quicksand, Tropical Jungle, White Acropolis, Kingdom Valley, Aquatic Base, Coral Cave, Haunted Ship and many of Colors’ area themes. (basically she’s half the reason ‘06′s ost is the greatest)

Tatsuyuki Maeda is not a name that you read often, but he also made some of my favorite tracks, from Volcano Valley to Gene Gadget, from Egg Rocket to Ocean Base.

Hideki Naganuma needs no introduction. Rush’s OST is iconic.

Naofumi Hataya and Masafumi Ogata, the geniuses behind CD's original soundtrack (and Sonic 2 8-bit, a personal favorite of mine), are a mandatory mention. Hataya also did a number of tracks outside of CD, like Ocean Palace, Mystic Mansion, Gems Collection’s OST, Terminal Velocity’s area theme and Ghost Town. (Ogata also did Ristar’s Crying World, one of my favorites from that game)

And finally, Tee Lopes, who earned his rightful place among the greatest after one game, and then proceeded to bless us more in Team Sonic Racing and even outside - that cover of Underground Zone he did with Senoue? Bliss <3

... And these are all just Sonic composers :p

Kenji Yamamoto is the most consistent composer for the Metroid games, and responsible for the masterpieces that are Super Metroid's and Metroid Prime's OSTs. Of course, special shoutout to Minako Hamano for giving us Maridia Rocky Underwater Area and Ridley’s theme, among other tracks she was not specificially credited for :) I know she was hugely responsible for Fusion’s OST, at least.

Yasumasa Kitagawa and Hiromitsu Maeba are by far my favorite composers for Ace Attorney, although they only did The Great Ace Attorney (and the crossover with Layton). Objection 2015, The Great Pursuit, Herlock Sholmes' theme, Barok van Zieks's theme, Kazuma Asougi’s second theme, The Game is Afoot, The Great Secret Trial... Aside from them, Noriyuki Iwadare is by far the most famous AA composer, and I like him a lot too, but he’s basically the Jun Senoue of AA, I don’t know where to begin with him lol. Maybe with Trials and Tribulations’ Objection theme, now the de facto Phoenix’s theme.

Hidenori Shoji, the man who has been carrying the Yakuza franchise since its inception! I’m only familiar with his work on Yakuza 0 but holy shit what a work - I am so weak for this kind of eclectic style. I mean, this guy gave us Receive You and its many different remixes!

Megaman had a ton of composers, too many to list, so special shout out to Yasuaki Fujita (main composer of MM3′s OST) Toshihiko Horiyama (main composer of X1′s OST, plus Apollo Justice’s), Naoto Tanaka (main composer of X5′s and X6′s OSTs, plus Justice for All’s), Ippo Yamada (general composer of the Zero series - a few examples of his work: Enemy Hall, Departure, Cannon Ball, Straight Ahead), Masaki Suzuki (many of Zero 2′s best tracks are his) and Shinichi Itakura (the one who graced us with Falling Down among other tracks :P).

Jeremy Soule is mostly famous for his Skyrim work. I know him for composing the OSTs of the first three Harry Potter games :P at this point tracks like Hogwarts’ theme, Diagon Alley and the title screen of Prisoner of Azkaban are part of my genetic makeup.

And of course, the one and only Michiru Yamane. Symphony of the Night is just her flexing as hard as she could - she could go from Marble Garden to Lost Painting to Festival of Servants in one game with no struggle. And before that, Bloodlines’s OST is an underrated gem in the Genesis library.

(also, as a bit of a footnote: NicolAmarfi and Blue123. I love Katawa Shoujo and its music so much, even if it’s a small indie visual novel)

OH 🌺 Anon, this is a phenomenal ask! DBD is one of my favorite horror games and has been for a few years now! Personally, I prefer to play Killer. I love the power 😈 Plus, most of my favorite characters are in that bracket.

The ones you like are all amazing, you truly have immaculate taste~! Ghostie is an INCREDIBLE Killer (I mean, he’s an OG for a reason). Super scary when you’re the survivor and you’ve gotta survive against a good Ghostface. I totally get you about the cape! He’s got an amazing character design. Great aesthetics 🖤🔪🩸 I’ve been scared shitless more than a few times by Myers’ stealthiness. He’s genuinely terrifying at times, but it’s so cute when you’ve got a chill Micheal and they do funny shenanigans with you & your team around the map.

~*• For Killers •*~

Gosh, I am so in love with Pyramid Head, Nemesis, and the Oni. They are just such powerhouses on the field and those are my fav characters to play & see get played by others! It’s no secret that I’ve had a MASSIVE crush on P-Head for more than a few years now 😳 He’s just…the perfect man (monster?). Strong, stubborn, absolutely shredded, doesn’t talk back, could slice me in half…🥴 yeah, he’s the best. Same goes for Nemesis, HE IS A TOTAL BADASS! I am so glad they chose him from RE [Resident Evil] over any of the other threats. He’s a phenomenal killer. AND THE ONI! I love how menacing he is! My favorite hunk 💖 Honorable mentions are Demogorgon & Trickster!

I also love Huntress & the Hag! The Huntress is 100% mommy; best milkers on the field (second to P-Head). IDK what it is about the Hag, but her backstory is super interesting to me. She is one of the only Killers that is genuinely scary to me & I love it. Her muck just makes her all the creepier (and, ya know, the fact that she’s a gremlin cannibal LOL). Also SADOKA OMG 😱 She is hella scary. Like, I came close to pissing myself when I first saw her in action! I’ve loved the Ring for awhile, so it is AMAZING to see one of your fav horror antagonists as a playable character in a video game. Honorable mentions are Spirit, Nurse, Pig, & Plague!

If I was given the chance to ask the DBD team to add one killer & one survivor to the game, I would get on my hands and knees to plead Ripley & the Xenomorph are included. Alien is my favorite franchise of all time (I wrote for many months & got an A for a History research essay about feminism in the Alien movies. It is my fav series LOL) and I CANNOT THINK OF ANYTHING SCARIER THAN THAT XENOMORPH. It is my favorite Killer of any series in the whole world, IT WOULD BE THE BEST KILLER. PLUS RIPLEY? THE SMARTEST AND BEST PROTECTOR?? A.K.A MISS GORGEOUS & TALENTED SIGOURNEY WEAVER HERSELF??? The most badass woman in all of film history?! Yeah, she’d be a kickass survivor. No debate needed. And they could add a spaceship-like map & make it all spookie! How fun would that be?

GAME SESSION 3 RECAP

i took 2 days off bc day 1 i was super ultra mega tired, and yesterday i was in a lot of pain. BUT WE’RE BACK AT IT TODAY

i watched some of the retro replay playthrough w troy and nolan ft. various guests and getting an insight on this game makes it even more meaningful than it already is.

D'you mind if I recommend a movie I saw and liked recently? It's a Korean sci-fi space opera/space western called Space Sweepers, with really cool worldbuilding, insane set design, and really likeable yet somewhat morally questionable characters. Also, found family is one of the big main themes, the villain is a hybrid of Elon musk and Jeff bezos, and there's a trans robot :)

A basic plot synopsis would be "Four dirt-poor swashbuckling space janitors find a bomb disguised as a human child in a dumpster, and have to debate on whether to sell her to terrorists for maximum cash, give her up to the evil capitalism space megacorporation UTS for a minor reward, or keep her because yeah she's a walking hydrogen explosive but she's also hella cute and draws pictures of us," alongside lots of cool spaceship chases and a heavy "eat the rich, save the planet" message.

OOOHH i think i've heard about this movie before, it sounds interesting!! might check it out whenever i have time, i really do love me some interesting weird sci-fi >:3c

What Am I Currently Playing/Running?

It’s been a bit since I’ve updated ya’ll on my current games, so here goes: On Sunday Nights I’m currently running a Pathfinder 2e game. We’re just about to finish up book 2 of the Abomination Vaults. The party is currently exploring the Devil Level and finding out about the holding cells, wondering why they were put there in the first place! Also, they’re fighting hella devils. I feel no deals will be struck purely out of spite. I’m looking to run my last few playtests for an upcoming project on Monday Night. I’m real excited about everything I’ve written so far, and playtests let me make silly little dungeons. I’m getting started with the Skulls and Shackles set for the Pathfinder Card Game on Tuesday nights. Probably gonna be biweekly. On Saturdays I’m currently playing in a Spaceships and Starwyrms playtest. I’m not gonna spoil the adventure at all (but I’ll say it’s really cool!) I’m playing an Ix private investigator named Bugsy Marlowe. He’s got a heap of gambling debt, a love of domosian films, and a Dog AI sidekick named Sp00fy-2. He’s a mess. Once the Starwyrms test wraps I think I’m gonna get a group together to play some Descent: Legends of the Dark! Got the set for a good price and I’m pumped to play through it!

I lied. Nobody asked about the pants thing but I wanted to say it anyway.

my reasoning is as follows.

see 12, about to board the colony ship in 10x11, before it all goes tits up:

cool outfit. He spends a couple of hours on the top deck of the ship before making it down to Bill who is big dead, and then he gets knocked out and tied up on a rooftop by the Gomez! and Simm!Masters, and then he wakes up, and then he gets knocked out again, and then they go to the solar farm. It’s probs safe to assume that this whole ordeal takes the best part of a day from his frame of reference.

He almost regenerates and then recovers, Bill gets housed in a barn, he goes to see her. Probably another day gone?

They all prepare for the big cyber army. That must take a full day because a lot happens in that time. Here he is in 10x12 trying to convince the two Masters to stand with him:

same outfit. No access to the TARDIS which is at the top of the ship, so no way to change his clothes, so he’s been wearing these for a solid two days at least. Fair to say?

Then the big cyber army comes, then he gets #rekt and Bill takes him back to the TARDIS, knocked out again, then she leaves, then he comes to and ends up meeting 1 for the Christmas special. That has to take another day.

The special happens - another day - and he ends up back in the TARDIS, where he immediately regenerates before changing his clothes:

At this point there is no reason to believe that these exact clothes have been worn for any less than four days.

She falls to Earth, some stuff happens, she takes a nap, she figures it out, then they go and defeat the Stenza dude and Grace dies. These events take about a day.

Cut to Grace’s funeral. Even if this happens ASAP, there’s no way it takes less than two days between her death and her funeral. Outside the church, here she is:

Looking feral as fuck in clothes that haven’t been changed for at least a week. But that’s okay, because they go shopping! Here she is at the end of 11x01 in her new clothes:

and because she is the magic 3 (eco friendly, shit poor and hella gay) the eagle-eyed amongst you will notice that she is in a charity shop.

Charity shops sell donated, used clothes. You know what they don’t sell?

Underwear.

Nobody wants to wear used pants! So they don’t sell them! So she has not bought any.

Now, as an aside, I’ll invite you, if you will, to contemplate 12′s underwear. There are three options to consider:

(1) 12 does not wear pants

(2) 12 does wear pants, but at some point while wearing the same clothes for 4 days he decides to remove them, and he is not wearing pants when he regenerates

(3) 12 does wear pants, he has too much on his mind to remove them while wearing the same clothes for 4 days, and he is still wearing them when he regenerates

So either:

(1/2) 13 is not wearing pants at any point during 11x01, including when she gets her new clothes because she can’t buy any

(3) 13 is wearing 12′s old pants up until she gets her new clothes in the charity shop.

The first option speaks for itself. Contemplating the second option: an old man wears some pants for 4 days. You then wear the same pants for 3 days. At the first opportunity to change your clothes, there are no clean pants on offer. Do you wear the week old pants that an old man wore before you under your new, clean clothes, or do you just not wear any pants?

I think you already know the answer.

At this point in 11x01 13 is going commando under her comfy new culottes.

But wait, there’s more!

Immediately after this, they go to try and get the TARDIS back and end up floating in space. They get rescued and we have the events of 11x02 which take, I think, 2 days? Here is 13 at the end of the episode, standing back in her TARDIS:

in the exact. same. clothes. she leaves the Sheffield charity shop wearing. She’s had no time, no TARDIS, and no wardrobe changes, so we can say with some certainty that bitch still has no pants on.

Then she tries to get everyone home and fails, ending up in Alabama at the start of 11x03:

when the TARDIS has obviously taken some inspo from her new wardrobe and made her some matching t-shirts. She’s taken some time out from unsuccesfully piloting a spaceship to change her clothes and, presumably, put on some pants for the first fucking time.

This post took me 45 minutes to write.

actually wait i DO have a question abt space au, have u ever said what the hermit’s spaceship itself looks like? like is it based off of something from HC or do you have something specific in mind? alternatively, if you have already answered that: are there any other cool/important ships they come across?

OOOO ok !!! So i actually keep. Switching them up but!!! Their main area is the Hermitcraft Space Station, or HSS for short. I haven't drawn it up yet because that kinda stuff is sorta hard for me to picture- It's not cramped like modern day space stations at all, everyone has their own rooms plus some other stuff. Probably looks either like those circle ones or the stick/pin lookin things. They also have a good few ships both for trading cargo and general travel.

Scar has a personal spaceship that he's named the. Well. Scarship. Its kinda clunky but works fine!! I think it would look like the No Man's Sky starter ship if it could hold about 4-5 people. A pretty red with black or cream accents maybe

Theres the Barge, a rather hefty cargo ship named by Grian. They usually use that for hauling trade or Hermitterra cargo, kinda what you picture when you think a hefty ship. Probably dark steel grey, chunky, two big engine pulsars, etc

As for important ships, theres a few!! The Badlands is the local friendly neighborhood space pirates/bounty hunters. But only for like. Watchers and other shitty folks. Kinda like the robin hoods of space! They run in a pretty big ship but its surprisingly fast. Outfitted with some pretty neat blaster guns, courtesy of Sam.

There's also Doomguy's ship! Its pretty damn big, heavily armored and equipped with more firearms than necessary. VEGA is the ship's AI and keeps everything running. It's basically a flying fortress with how sturdy this thing is. X and Hex visit regularly and sometimes bring others along. When they promise not to steal half of Doomguy's armory.

The Sleepy Boy's INC. is a pirate ship that the hermits kinda know about? Mainly VIA Grian who found Wilbur, childhood friend of his, while out on planet. It's this hella high tech thing that is frankly, wAY above what anyone expects out of the crew. Mainly based around @/ratspleen's human error au but also not cause . original stuff.

Other ship fleets n whatnot exist but they arent fleshed out yet, determined, or they're more spoiler-y. I say like i havent revealed like half the plot already LSDKJF

Stowaway (2021) Review

I don’t buy it.

Plot: The crew of a spaceship headed to Mars discovers an accidental stowaway shortly after takeoff. Too far from Earth to turn back and with resources dwindling, the ship's medical researcher emerges as the only dissenting voice against the group that has already decided in favour of a grim outcome.

Consider me a cinema sinner, but I find it highly unlikely that someone would could corners during final flight checks of a highly important and most likely hella-expensive spacecraft on a mission to Mars. Like there is no way I believe that no one would have found this stowaway fellow before the ship took off. No way, like no, I refuse to accept that as a possible situation. The craft would have been checked like a gazillion times beforehand and also I’m sure in this futuristic setting people still use attendance sheets and clock ins. Right before the flight took off a certain Jerry would have took out a clipboard, or okay, its the future, he’d probably be using an iPad 100, but regardless, he’d be like “right chaps, I’m gonna call out everyone’s name and ensure everyone’s here and not accidentally fallen behind on this ship here that is about to fly on a 2 year journey to ye old Mars baby over there in the sky, as this is a highly important and expensive mission and we cannot be guilty of making any silly mistakes. Right, is John here? Good. Richard, yep. Chloe, cool. Terry, hi there Terry, hey our names rhyme, we should go for a pint after! Right, David. And Michael? Where’s Michael? No Michael here? Where was Michael seen last? Ah, he was fixing up some wires in the ship? Okay, see, I knew Michael would still be up there, he’s a clumsy silly sausage he is, let’s go get him!” And end of story. Voila! So yeah, I don’t buy it. No sir. So much so that I’m going to leave this Grumpy Cat (RIP) meme here...

However that being said, let’s just accept that all the folks behind the set up of this Mars mission are cretinous imbeciles who allowed this mistake to occur for the sake of this movie existing. So we end up with this psychological drama of this crew in space stuck with this difficult choice, and this posed moral dilemma in itself was actually quite interesting if you ignore the set up towards it. It’s the common question of how much does a single human’s life matter? Socrates would have a ball watching this movie! Or at least I think he would. I don’t know, my knowledge of Socrates is limited to Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey (huge shout out to my amazing girlfriend for recommending me that awesome game!) and in that game Socrates spends a lot of time contemplating my kill count and the deeper meaning behind each life that my Kassandra took. Safe to say I completely ignored Socrates and made my Kassandra a full fledged murderer with a lust for blood, blood and, you guessed it, more blood!

Anyway, moving on from my psychotic video game tendencies, Stowaway is actually a very self contained movie, and even though its set out there in the big open space of our solar system, we don’t actually get to enjoy that many big visual set pieces we’ve grown accustomed to thanks to recent space epics Interstellar, The Martian, Ad Astra and First Man to name a few. Instead for the majority of the film we spend time with the characters inside the the ship’s main carrier. The film tries to play as a big character study, however here’s the thing, you don’t really care about any of the characters. Each individual has their one or two characteristics and background points, but overall your sympathies for these people will rely exclusively on your opinions of these actors. If you are a fan of them, you will enjoy seeing them and root for them, however if you have no interest in these actors then the characters they play you’ll give zero care about. For example, Anna Kendrick is perfectly okay as the ship’s medic, and her on-screen presence is a welcome one, however couldn’t tell you hardly anything about the character she plays other than her name is Zoe. I think. Is it Zoe? I could go on IMDb and confirm this but somehow I don’t think I want to.

I should also mention that this film is filled to the brim with plot holes. Yes, the movie tries to use a lot of scientific terms as an excuse to confuse us and buy into the story and all the stuff that occurs, but thinking it over I have to admit this movie does not make sense. From the oxygen problem to the lack of prep for this mission and also the outcome at the end, it’s all a mess. Speaking of the outcome, this film has a monumentally abrupt ending. It simply stops. Yes, a certain major plot point occurs, however it leaves the story as a whole completely unresolved. It’s more like this thing happens, and you’re like “oh damn!” and then out of nowhere credits overtake the screen and you’re like “wait what?”. It just ends. It just ends as if the producers realised they’ve wrote themselves into a dead end and simply accepted it. So we get this build up that akums to a suspenseful piece of nothing. Some lovely scenes, competent acting and elegant special effects are not enough to make this movie worth your time. That being said there is a certain sequence to the end of this movie which was actually really suspenseful and actually had me, as cringe as it sounds, at the edge of my seat. It actually made me really motion sick and nauseous from the tension of it all, so I have to give props to that scene. Otherwise, yeah, as stated previously - I don’t buy it.

Top 15 characters from books I’ve read in 2020

Yes I know it’s only been six months. I’ve read 27 books, which is way more than last year, love me some having graduated college and actually have free time. This list was Not Easy, the order changes by the day, and this year was a lot of rereads but I saw this idea and I thought it looked fun so here I am. Without further ado:

1. Kaladin (The Stormlight Archive by Brandon Sanderson)

I love my too honorable, depressed, protective boy. He tries so hard all the time, and he attaches and loves everyone. He tries to give everything and more of himself to save and it might not be healthy but I relate so hard lmao. I just love him so much. He’s grumpy as hell and takes too much responsibility but goddamit he cares.

2. Jesper Fahey (Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo)

I just.... I love Jesper. His charisma shines through the pages. Jesper is the type of person I want to be, full of life, and sharing that with other people.

3. Inej Ghafa (Six of Crows)

Strongest person ever, I want to be her or I want to marry her, I’m not sure which. Every word she says is thought through, and she is deliberate, and reflective, and physically, emotionally, and mentally strong.

4. Fire (Fire by Kristin Cashore)

My favorite character from a book I’ve loved for ten years. I reread this book probably once a year, and my love for Fire only grows. She’s immensely reflective, strong, and soft at the same time. She gets to be both. I also love the strong woman who is kind and compassionate and loves children, because loving and treating children well and being strong/ having power are not mutually exclusive. She’s just wonderful, and I never get sick of watching her grow confident in herself and grow outside of her shadows, becoming something reforged. Also she’s beautiful.

5. Wylan Van Eck (Six of Crows)

Hhhhhhh okay I am wylan. I know this. I know that’s why I like him. He’s the parts of me I like lmao. He’s smart, confident when in the right situation, and just honestly the sweetest. When it comes to it, he’s brave, but he feels like everyone around him is leagues above him. Also he loves Jesper which like, yeah dude I feel that.

6. Sophie Hatter (Howl’s Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones)

Sophie is mean as hell and I appreciate that honestly. She’s no nonsense and clever and wonderful. Hella strong character, I love every conversation she has with people. She also has the tendency to fall into repetitive thought patterns which is a mood.

7. Tyrannus Basilton Grimm-Pitch (Carry On by Rainbow Rowell)

Ah Baz. Loved this boy for years. We’ve run across another book I reread a lot. Baz is dramatic as hell, has a mean streak, but fiercely protects those in his circle. I am not him, and I sure as hell wouldn’t agree with him on everything, but I respect him as a mage and as a person. Also he makes me cry.

8. Sylphrena (The Stormlight Archive)

God I love Syl. I can’t believe she’s this low on the list tbh but she’s the cheerful counterpart to Kaladin. She’s an honorspren, so not a person exactly, but more of an idea, which is hella cool I wish I was an idea. She’s badass and she cares so much about Kaladin, and about doing what’s right by people. She’s kind and I got to watch her grow her consciousness and intelligence. One minute she is having a philosophical discussion with Kal and the next she’s pretending to be a rock, or sticking people’s shoelaces together. That’s a duality I can relate to and respect.

9. M-bot (Skyward & Starsight by Brandon Sanderson)

M-bot is not a person either, he’s an AI and I love him. M-bot made me cry my eyes out, actually I think every character on this list so far has made me cry except Sophie, and that’s because Howl’s Moving Castle is kind of a light book and I love that. Anyway M-bot is a sarcastic little thing and I love him. His lines are the funniest, but he also cares a lot, and is also runs a spaceship so like that’s awesome.

10. Spensa (Skyward & Starsight)

Spensa is probably my favorite character that I spend the whole book yelling at. Jk, not the whole book, but she does frustrate me. She’s so impulsive, but man she tries so hard and feels so much and I’m a sucker for characters that care. She’s a good egg, go read Skyward.

11. Eric R Bittle (Check, Please by Ngozi Ukazu)

Another character that’s made me cry! This one multiple times! I grew up alongside Bitty in a way, going through college at the same time he did, and weirdly coming out around the time he did as well. Feels like he’s been there with me, and I got to watch him mature and beat his own demons. I’m so proud of him and I squeal every time I see him. He’s such a stinking sweetheart.

12. Simon Snow (Carry On)

Ah yes, another idiot whom I love. But he cares so much!!! He loves with his whole self, he doesn’t do anything by halves. He throws himself headlong into everything, and he may be reckless and stupid sometimes but I love him.

13. Howl (Howl’s Moving Castle)

I listened to the audiobook version of this book, and I honestly think that cemented my love of Howl. The Howl voice the voice actor does is marvelous, and many of his lines had me cackling in public. He’s brash and grumpy and selfish but I love him anyway. Helps that he’s funny as hell.

14. Nina (Six of Crows)

Ninaaaaaaaaaa another character to get mad at, since she has a tendency to do stupid things, but she always does them for the right reasons. She’s badass, and she gives love to her friends freely. She also doesn’t know how to shut up and I love that. Also have a mentioned she’s badass? And beautiful???

15. Calcifer (Howl’s Moving Castle)

Fuckin’ hilarious. 10/10 jokes, the voice actor’s voice was also very good for calcifer. He loves to pretend he doesn’t car but he does. Also in the second and third books he’s hella badass which is cool.

Kimmalyn (Skyward)-sweetest bby, I love her

Shallan (The Stormlight Archive)- haven’t liked her every step of the way but she’s such and interesting character holy crap

Dalinar (The Stormlight Archive)- army general, has killed lots of ppl :/ but he’s so invested in change and doing good, and he pushes himself so hard. Love the way Brandon Sanderson writes everyone morally gray. Good stuff.

Penny (Carry On)- brash as hell, damn smart, will kick your ass, does not have time for you, kinda unlikeable, wait I’m describing book hermoine wait could it be that I loved hermoine in my formative years and now I love the carry on version of her? Mmm not surprising.

(Spaceship Anon) I don't know. Both those suggestions sound hella. Thinking about some more it be cool for a Space player, because they could have the Forge be the engine room. Maybe the land(ship) is stranded in space and that player needs to do a bunch of quests in order to start up the engine. If we go the astroid route then I could see them colonize said planet, mining resources and setting up bases. (1/2)

(2/2) The denizen could either be the reason why the ship is stuck floating there offline(spaceship route) or why the astroid is unhabitable halting the production of bases (astroid route). So yeah that's what I've thought up of.

Oh man the Forge an Engine Room, that is really interesting, but also, searching for Frogs in SPACE sounds like an absolute P A I N. Those are fun takes though! Hmm, maybe for ONCE, SBURB doesn’t let you artificially breathe outside of the Lands, so you actually do need the Ship to move from place to place.

Hey there! Again, thank you so much and I hope you’re having a lovely day!

Nebula had never spared much thinking in the vastness of space– not even in the spaceship with Tony Stark, bleeding oxygen by the second and moving steadily closer to their death. Somehow, she had missed the loneliness between one star and the next, the long stretches of void, nothing on sight for miles and miles. Now, she watches from her bedroom airlock and thinks how far away Gamora must be.

It is a very lonely thought.

“You are sad,” says a familiar voice from the doorway, and Nebula does not have to turn around to know Mantis is there, blinking innocently at her. Something swells and constricts in her chest. “Is it because we have been looking for Gamora for two months now and we found nothing to indicate she is alive again?”

A beat of silence. If it were anyone else, Nebula would have reached for a knife and buried it into their throat, but it is not anyone else, it’s Mantis– Mantis who is so painfully naive even after the world has been so unkind to her, who held onto her own gentleness and softness even after witnessing everyone else’s emotions, who speaks her mind with no intention to hurt, she speaks the truth because it’s all she knows. Mantis who is bright in Nebula’s darkness.

It is not anyone else, so Nebula only inclines her head, not quite a nod, and turns to look at her. “I don’t need proof,” she says, strangely compelled to disperse the silence while she does not know why Mantis is there, “I know my sister.”

Mantis hums in agreement and steps inside without invitation. Once more Nebula is uncomfortably aware of how blurred the lines are when it comes to Mantis. “Thor says the same,” she informs, sitting crosslegged on the bed, “so does Peter.”

“And what do you say?”

The question should not mean anything and neither should the answer, but Nebula still watches Mantis intently, waiting for her words with a knot of emotions tangling further in her chest. What an odd thing it is, to care so deeply for someone– truthfully, Nebula blames Gamora. Had she not chipped at Nebula’s heart until she learned to love her sister, they would not be here now.

The thought is more disturbing than it has any right to be.

“I don’t know,” Mantis says, frowning a little, and Nebula wants to reach out and smooth the creases, “but if you say so, I believe you.”

It cuts like a dagger and Nebula nearly flinches at the ache her words leave behind. Very little people have believed her, trusted her for anything other than destruction, and yet here Mantis is, sitting on her bed and looking at her like she is not more machine than being, more monster than being. Like she is not afraid of Nebula and the blood she drowns in. “You should leave,” Nebula grits out, closing her eyes and turning away not to see Mantis open and earnest expression.

But the mattress does not creak and the door does not open. Instead, quiet footsteps come closer and Nebula feels cold hands take hers.

Oddly, she feels no fear for what Mantis might discover. She was scared of many things for a very long time, now, she thinks she might have run out of it. Besides, she knows what will come of it, there’s nothing to be afraid of– rejection is something she is used to, it will change nothing, life will only go on as it is.

“Oh,” Mantis breathes, and she doesn’t let go, holds on tighter, and Nebula is helpless to do anything but look back at her, watch the last seconds before she flinches away and take her kindness with her. “You don’t think I’m hideous.”

“Of course not,” Nebula frowns, distracted from the imminent tragedy by the fierce need to correct her, “I have traveled to all corners of the universe and you are the most beautiful being I’ve seen.”

And the kindest, and the gentlest, and the most honest, and the most innocent, and the most wonderful.

“You love me,” Mantis adds, looking so heartbreakingly confused, “but you are so sad and it is not just because of your sister. You love me and you think I don’t love you?”

Her antenna twitch and Mantis is still looking so confused, Nebula is aching terribly. She has nothing to offer for comfort but the harsh truth. “I do,” she says simply, and traitorously draws comfort from Mantis touch, from her lack of violent reaction to her feelings.

Mantis nods sagely. “Yes, you are not very smart,” she grins, impish and delighted, and it’s such a different expression from only seconds ago, Nebula feels dizzy, “because Drax has been telling me I’m not very good at hiding my feelings.”

Still awfully unsteady, Nebula blinks, forehead creasing. “Your feelings?”

“For you, of course,” she snickers, hands leaving Nebula’s to gently cradle her face instead, “I have many feelings for you, but the most important one is this: I am in love with you.”

The Milano does not revolve around an axis, but Nebula still feels as if her world has stopped spinning, tilting and tilting, sending everything off-kilt. Is this how it’s supposed to go? She does not know but she cares little. How could she, when Mantis is smiling so bright it blinds her for everything else around them, and happiness is a foreign emotion for her, but it still flares violently, a bullet tearing its away across her whole being.

She wants to tell Mantis it’s a very stupid thing to do, loving her, and she will regret it later, but Nebula has many flaws and selfishness is one she has yet to shake off, so she says nothing of the sort. She stays silent in her newly born hopefulness.

And when Mantis stands on her tiptoes to kiss her, Nebula thinks she might be shivering, might be falling into the void, and it’s the most wonderful feeling in all the worlds.

Space is a vast and unforgiving place, cold and dark, but here, inside her quarters, it’s warm and bright, and Mantis is a sun she does not mind crashing into.

it always fascinated me whether, either by accident or on purpose, the Arclights seemed to have a connection to the Barians Emperors (bar Nasch and Merag due to plot reasons) via the color they glow when they become—for the lack of a better word—aroused.

I might be stretching for some of these and the glows could be like, stock-image stuff, but eh, I've been creatively-drained lately due to skool and I wanna write

I found some fun connections between the groups, and it could work especially since the Emperors were the ones who gifted the Arclights with the crests, therefore it could be possible that by giving them the crests, the Arclights "adopted" or inherited parts of the donor's personalities. The show doesnt explicitly state what happened here (although the dub attributed this whole scheme to vector which is,,, hella funny for unintentional reasons,,,) but through fearsome foursome dialogue, we can assume that the Arclights are known to Barian World so the kids must've been slightly more involved in Barian World.

The most obvious connection to me is Trey because you know

This whole thing.

I'm 99% sure this isn't historically accurate, but let's pretend. At first I thought the gladiator garb was random (since Trey was the only one who did this, we can't gauge what the writers were going for) but it makes a lot of sense if he were to inherite his powers from Alito, who was a gladiator in his past life. When his powers was enchanced through Tron, it revealed the depths of what Alito gave him. Just, gladiator vibes but it's cool though.

Michael's crest is orange but when he gets hella angery, he glows the same reddish tint as Alito, so this still falls in line with my theory. They also share a lot of things in-common, including being the first of their group to befriend Yuma. Both originally came on as kind and devoted to Yuma and not evil, then went full evil for a good chunk of time, both due to circumstances—either through Don Thousand or the enchanced crest. They were also the first of their group to help Yuma after snapping out of their rage state: Trey when he came back to fight Erazor and Alito deciding they should team up to fight Don Thousand. (They also fell into a coma after being defeated by Yuma for different reasons but I don't think this counts for anything). The gladiator stuff sells it for me though.

Then there's Christopher. He glows the same color as Durbe, who is the leader of the Emperors in the absence of Nasch.

The likeness isn't as clear as Michael aside from certain traits. They're both smart (this is up for debate don't @ me) and take on the leader role of their group (after Tron skedaddled for season 2). They're stoic, calm, hot, have intimacy with certain spaceships and a book, etc...

Something I found kinda interesting is this

Durbe was the first we see to wear a bracelet to control his Barian powers on Earth, and according to Michael, Quinton made the bracelets in order to control their crests. I thought this was a neat tie-in since Durbe gave the rest of the Emperors the Barian Sphere Field cubes to use while Christopher ultilized the Crest Sphere Field during the duel with the barians.

Chris and Durbe has the least relation though, so that's all I have to say.

Tron is weird because he has two glows, which corresponds to both Vector and Mizael. This makes sense since he does have properties from both. If my memory is correct, the purple one only appeared during duel against Yuma (maybe the one before it during a dream sequence but idk), while most scenes gave him a yellowish outline.

The show portrays Vetrix as sadistic but sly like a fox. This half came from Vector, from how he tortured Hart and Kaito and Droite and his kids mentally. He's heartless, and he isn't afraid to let the world know this. Like Vector. On the other hand, what I think he inherited from Mizael is that "Barian Superiority" complex. Tron said he only trusts barians because they saved him (unrelated, but I think it's funny that he desired Shark, a barian, to fight for him like no tomorrow but then straight-up hospitalized Rio, also a barian), and the only other Emperor who bears this trait is Mizael. Most of the others are like "cool, we barians" but Mizael is proud of the fact and despises humans because of it.

I like to think that Mizael was supposed to give Tron the crest in order to ensure he stays loyal to the Barians, but then Vector shimmied in and infected him with his own powers, thus amplifying his lust for revenge and destruction because Vector would.

Vetrix and Mizael also have big roles in the growth of Kaito's character, where in one it allows us to Kaito's vulnerable side (Hart plots) and the other his compassionate (Galaxy-Eyes Master plots).

And although this has to do more with Thomas than Tron himself, Vetrix's Vector half made him torment and chase Shark around for seemingly no reason (as far as the audience knows at that point in the show).

And this dood. Quattto, I think it's obvious what he got from Vector. The sadism, the cruelty, whatever that was idk it freaks me out I have a phobia of death by machinery I don't like thinking about this.

Most likely Thomas was the one who inherited Vector's nastier traits, and his hatred for Shark. He's shown to be cruel because he finds it fun, and for both Thomas and Vector, they hurt people solely for entertainment. They also have the whole "Ray Shadows" and "Fanservice" thing going on, where they hide their monstrous personalities under a positive mask. Might be a bit of stretch, but both were shown to be kinder when they were young. Circumstance and the crest made Thomas cruel, while Vector became and stayed cruel because of Don Thousand (this is weird bc Vector knows he was brainwashed but prefers being evil anyways). Thomas hurt Rio to get to Shark, Vector killed Merag to get to Nasch. There's a lot if we compare their relationships with Shark.

Furthermore, and this may also be one of those stretches, but the flags on Vector's ships feature a cracked skull with a jagged streak running across the eye. To me, it reminds me of IV's scar (which he acquired after hurting Rio (merag) for Tron (also vector) this is a big circle I have something here but I can't, connect, it,,,) Plus Japanese "4" = death and death = skull

Furthermore, Thomas was used to awaken the Barian Rage within Shark, and if Thomas had parts of his personality as Vector, it could be said that Shark's inner Barian could be responding to the negativity of Vector through Thomas, hence why Tron used Tombo as bait. Or maybe it just worked out like that.

Lastly, I like to brush up on something else. It's safe to say that the Barians are loyal to Barian World regardless of whether they were originally meant for Astral World or not. After acquiring their true memories, they still fought for Barian World and straight up stated this multiple times, particularly Mizar and Alito. Likewise, the Arclights bore these loyal traits. Trey, Quattro, and Quinton were loyal to Tron even after all the shit he gave them. They were also loyal to their counterpart in the second season (Yuma, Shark, Kite) and defended them with their life. During the Barian Onslaught, Quattro died because he was super loyal to Shark and believed he existed in Nasch despite the evidence. Trey and Quinton died in order to make sure Kaito and Yuma got to their destinations safely, and they knew that would be the outcome. Tron was loyal to his cause of revenge, then to Earth during the final boss duel.

OK.

But something's missing. Not Merag and Nasch because they weren't there during the Tron-Emperor fiasco.

Oh, yes GilRag

If the Arclights and Barian have a 1:1 matchup, who does Gilag represent

Obviously it's

the dog

See, the dog is obviously the best Arclight (this is NOT up for debate) and if you take out Nasch, the best Emperor is Gilag for reasons. This aligns. Checkmate.

Also the raccoon. The dog is furry, the raccoon is furry, gilag is furry, it makes sense okay.

So there we have it, each Arclight corresponds to an Emperor after inheritancing the crest, good night
