-For example whenever Garmadon would take him home after a night of adventure, he would just pretend to be asleep in the car (or mech) just so that his dad could carry him inside.

-Always feels like he has to be serious but his friends always manage to bring out his little kid side

-Also knows how to speak Japanese fluently

-Garmadon tried to mess with him once by talking in Japanese and was flabbergasted when he spoke Japanese back

More on Sigma since yall ate up the last post tysm guys (*´꒳`*)

Anyways as I was saying Sigma has done some shit that proves he’s not a UwU baby and here I’ll explain to you more. 

Sigma, unlike the rest of the DOA doesn’t want to just jump to violence, that’s not his thing since he knows his ability really isn’t meant for combat. Though he will still do it as seen multiple times. It also never once says he regret hurting/killing multiple innocent civilians. “Oh but Dazai said he didn’t see Sigma as a terrorist at all 🥺🥺 therefore-“ nope. Shut up 😍. Compared to Gogol and Fyodor, Sigma is not a terrorist. He hasn’t done nearly as much as they have, but he still is. Now I’d like to bring attention to the fact that the casino is actually Sigma’s REWARD for the use of his skill. Therefore, due to his part being over in the plan as Dazai said, he had no reason to fight on the frontlines. Yet he still did it to protect the casino, which was being used for terrorism and stuff. Hmmmm…. If he was an UwU innocent baby why would he do this? It’s because he’s not please shut up I’m actually losing in from people acting like that. Just note this past section is only from the first few pages of the 18th novel. We’re no where near close to being done!! Remember when The hunting dogs asked him to shut down that casino? Here is his reaction to that:

I personally don’t think this is how any UwU baby would act… idk just my thoughts. He literally yelled at them, didn’t even try to politely explain why he wouldn’t do that he just told them to fuck off. Now we have Tachihara and Teruko walking along just doing their job (stop hating Teruko for doing her job it makes me so mad) and just getting stabbed by a random civilian. Here we see Sigma, literally making stuff up as he’s using people as literal weapons whilst knowing damn well you’re not supposed to do that. He literally uses the fact that as police Teruko and Tachihara can’t hurt them as a way of ENCOURAGING people to harm literal government figures. He had no hesitation to do that to people, unlike when he hesitated to use the plane on the casino, showing that at this point he is valuing a CASINO over HUMAN LIVES (B-but the casino is his home 🥺, ok and? Would you manipulate innocent people into literal weapons to protect your house? I don’t think so) It’s important to note that this is the only thing Sigma really owns, so he is defending it in a state of panic. It still gives him no right to do such things though. No I’m not trying to make Sigma sound like a bad person he’s my favorite bad character and it physically hurts to see all the mischaracterization I cry myself to sleep bc ppl r like this. As Fyodor said: “You won’t find a scarier thing in the world than a common man who is desperate” and we know that bc sigma said “If it’s for the casino I’ll do anything” here’s a little reminder:

Now yeah he was having a little breakdown about it, like who wouldn’t. Can someone not show emotion without being called UwU soft? Seriously? If you were in that situation I bet you’d want to spring outta that room crying too. And yet here we are, he’s still using on and you know how? He’s shooting at Teruko with big ass guns. I don’t think owning those is legal in the slightest.

This is not legal. Firing these is not legal. And here is the most important part. The sonic gun and this is gonna be in bold bc it’s one of my leading points He showed no hesitation to kill Teruko in one of the most painful ways for a hunting dog to be killed. He forced her to puncture her eardrums as a last result of survival, as he says “This is all apart of the plan” showing that he planed ahead of time to try and kill a hunting dog. This is not something someone who is innocent would do in the slightest. He is well prepared to kill someone without regret. He decided to save a casino instead of his self, and attempted to take Teruko down with him. 

And then we get to the part when he gets saved by Atsushi. He says he didn’t mean to stab the chief. Ok fine he didn’t mean to do that, but he still did it even if he regretted it. Can people not show regret for their actions? Goddamn ok. Also the way he spoke to Gogol- that’s not innocent at all he was downright hating on him. “I hate dealing with this decay member the most” bro even was like: Why didn’t you die man. In no way in his speech does he act soft at all I can’t see how you people got that. Maybe it was from his confused reaction? Or something. And just know this it only the 18th novel I’ve covered so far. I’ll do more in a later part :3 but anyways thanks for reading this I hope both sides of ur pillow are cold and I hope this helped you understand sigma better!!

people on twitter are being so loud about things that aren’t correct.

1. people are saying that k and kat were friends up until k and sam got together but that’s not true. a shocking amount of people think that. kat was “friends” and i say that loosely because they were never close friends, with singer girl not k.

2. people are still going off on colby because of the poem mlp posted. they’re saying that colby always pretends to date these girls like mlp, stas, and amber. also not true. the only one of those girls that he genuinely pretended to date was amber for the video they did together. he did not pretend to date mlp. they all just played into what she was feeding them behind the scenes. same thing with stas, they were never more than friends but they let themselves get convinced by her that they were together. if any of those girls are hurting it’s because they did it to themselves. im so over that damn app lol.

and you’re right with the k live making fun of kat situation. it could be about singer girl (i forget what you guys call her haha) but because people are so mad at sam moving on they want her to be evil so bad. and people are already coming out saying “i never trusted those girls anyway” 🙂 laugh out loud. first of all, m has nothing to do with if k was making fun of kat on live bc she wasn’t live with her it was a different friend. and second of all, if every single time that snc has a girl around you have to say you had a bad feeling about them maybe you should look inward. maybe you should do some soul searching because there’s a pattern there that is toxic as hell. not every girl around snc is out to get them.

1. kat and k were never friends. i don’t even think they followed one another at any point. the only way they knew each other was bc of ms singer and kat being on the same label. but none of them were close or really even friends, besides k and ms singer.

and as we know now, k didn’t really even make fun of kat. fans were jumping to conclusions because they don’t like that sam has moved on to k, and colby has moved onto m, and so they take it out on the girls. i mean, they also take it out on colby because sam never does anything wrong and he’s the golden child but you know… same difference lol

2. this argument is one i don’t understand truthfully. even him and amber barely pretended to date. they teased the fandom like twice and that was it. they constantly reiterated that they were just flirty friends.

when it comes to mlp and stas… i could literally fist fight someone over the shit that was said lol jk

mlp has been airing out colby’s shit for the past two weeks bc he rejected her, finally. and ppl are trying to paint her like she is some innocent victim that got played by the evil colby brock. and look, i get that being rejected can suck and not having your feelings reciprocated hurts deeply. i know those feelings very well. but she claims that they were each others’ rocks, that they relied on each other for support and always came running to one another when things got tough. but now she’s casually telling fans in her live streams that colby has had multiple mid life crisis and he has secrets she can’t talk about. and then in her poems, which all have basically been confirmed to be about him, she talks about him having a darkness in him and that his shadows keep them apart and she was the light he needed and it’s just like………. for the longest time, my issue with her is that she has never been satisfied with just having colby as a friend. that she always needed more. but in the time frame of trying to get to that other side, they grew a deep bond. but now, bc she’s hurt, she’s just saying everything he told her. and that’s just disgusting behavior to me. you want to talk about the pain you’re in? that’s fine. but to air out shit he’s never even told us?? how fucked in the head are you to think that’s what one person should do to another? especially someone you called your twin soul? your rock? not to mention, but you’ve made it seem like he needs to be fixed and you’re the one to do it…

if he does have something dark inside of him, which to me just reads as her saying depression, you’re absolutely fucked in the head if you think someone like that needs fixing. especially by a horse girl like yourself. you still act like a high schooler and you’re 30. how about you get your shit together first, kiddo.

and then with stas, that shit just never happened lol she did the same thing as mlp: tried to plant seeds in the fandom that something else was going on with them. liked comments shipping the two of them, constantly answered questions about him. she did what mlp did but in a shorter time frame. and when malishkagate happened, and fans started congratulating the two of them for finally being together (even tho it’s very obvious that she took his phone after he filmed her and wrote “malishka” as the caption since clearly that man doesn’t know russian), that was the beginning of the end for anything they *could* have had. and then she went on her subscription service after they came home from europe and hung out with colby and friends one more time, only to tell her fans that she was going on a date and then posted colby. so… no wonder that man iced her out. i would too if you were going around and bragging to friends that you got posted on my snapchat 👀

also what i find the most annoying is that there are some fans that blame the downfall of the core four as colby’s doing……… as if a major component of the core four wasn’t a LITERAL couple that broke up. like bffr. and wasn’t stas literally complaining about being abandoned during one of kat’s streams and when she was asked about it, she just kept ignoring anything that had to do with stas?

For a while now I’ve been trying to get my thoughts on the first four episodes of this season sorted out. I did actually enjoy the arc as a whole. I enjoyed getting to learn more about Carlos’s backstory and I actually enjoyed getting to know Iris better. I think so many of us assumed that Carlos had such a lonely childhood and so it’s nice to know that he had at least one person in his life that he was close to and be himself around.

I think for me the reason why I felt so stressed about it all was actually more down to the fandom reaction to the storyline. I’m not trying to blame anyone here or insult the fandom at all. I actually understand why a lot of people reacted the way they did. But there were things that stressed me out. I didn’t like how so many people just seemed so resistant to the concept of Carlos even having flaws. Carlos has always had flaws, it’s just that for some reason some people always ignored them in favor of lashing out at TK. And I think that right there is why a lot of people who care about TK felt frustrated. Since s1, TK’s worthiness has constantly been questioned and every mistake he has made has been held against him. In s3, ppl kept saying that Carlos should never have taken TK back at all and made him work for it. Mind you, these people completely overlooked the fact that Carlos had bought a house without even discussing it with TK. The thing is, the narrative and Carlos himself seemed to ignore that too. Even Rafa boiled the breakup down to “TK fucking up.” But with this, it feels like the writers didn’t even want to acknowledge that Carlos had even made a mistake. There is never a moment where it’s pointed out to Carlos that he was married for the entirety of his relationship to TK and didn’t tell him. Instead, it’s brushed of bc it wasn’t a real marriage. I think this frustrated a lot of people bc it felt like even when Carlos is unequivocally the one who made a mistake, it’s going ignored. I actually did defend Carlos as much as I possibly could during that arc bc I do understand why he married Iris in the first place and it does fit his character that he didn’t tell TK. I just wish that had been pointed out as wrong the way TK breaking up with Carlos instead of talking to him about the house was. Carlos got to vent his feelings back then yet TK never said a word about how he felt about Carlos keeping that secret and then he constantly blamed himself for Iris going missing and nobody stepped in to tell him it wasn’t his fault.

On the other hand, I didn’t like how people who were understanding of both sides were treated either. I know for a fact that there were people writing entire coda fics that validated TK’s feelings and yet they were being sent messages accusing them of not liking TK. I most certainly did not like how the writers and especially the actors were being left nasty comments to the point where an Instagram post had to be taken down. As much as I loved Ronen, Rafa and Lysney showing each other solidarity, it should never have come to that in the first place. I don’t know what type of comments they were or who they were coming from. I do know that there were people who were just mad that a woman had been brought into the dynamic at all. I know that there were people who just couldn’t stand the idea of Carlos having flaws. I know there were people who, after the first ep, were sending anyone who vented their feelings on their own blog lists of every mistake (both real and imagined) mistake that TK has ever made. I know there were people who went out of their way to blame TK anyway and people who tried to pin the blame on Iris even though she was literally in a state of psychosis for years and was living on the streets. At any rate, whoever it was that left comments on Rafa’s post or sent hate to any of the actors should be ashamed.

Ronen himself touched on this in a post ep 4 interview but it really does seem that ppl forget that TK deals with mental health issues as well and none of this situation was at all easy on him. There’s a reason why Iris likened herself to TK. From the vibe I got, the ppl that were actually hating on Iris for the stuff she said during the dinner didn’t even seem that concerned about TK himself. They just wanted an excuse to hate on Iris. I’ve said before that there is ableism in this fandom that has come into play with how TK is talked about and it definitely feels like it came into play with how Iris was talked about. I know it frustrated a lot of ppl seeing TK’s struggles in this arc being ignored by everyone and even Carlos seemingly blaming him for Iris going missing. Now, I do understand why Carlos reacted the way he did. He was deeply worried, probably blaming himself since this is something he and TK have in common and Iris’s life was in danger. And Carlos has always had a tendency to compartmentalize to the point that it becomes toxic. So I do understand his reaction but I can’t say that I didn’t find it upsetting. I also feel like it led a lot of ppl to be louder about how bad they felt for TK bc they felt that nobody else was going to do it. There were also ppl outright blaming TK and the fact that Ronen made it a point to defend why TK went to Iris shows that the actors do in fact see the stuff fans say. I just hope that after this ppl can recognize that it is possible to understand and sympathize with two characters at the same time and to do so doesn’t mean that you dislike one or the other. I actually do understand (even if I don't necessarily agree with it) the hypersensitivity that some ppl had over TK during this arc bc there’s no denying that there are ppl out there that look for excuses to hate on TK and downplay his feelings. Apparently enough for Ronen to notice. In my experience, ppl who love TK generally love Carlos as well but the same can not always be said the other way around. However, as I already said, this is no reason to go after the ppl who do love both and are just trying to be understanding of both sides. At the end of the day, as far as I can see the majority does love both and that should be what matters. I think there is also the matter of how the anger ppl felt at Carlos was ultimately temporary. Ppl were angry after 401 but they calmed down after 402 when we saw Tarlos being a united team and expressing love for each other. And of course there was the exquisite couch scene. The anger started up again with ep 2 and Carlos’s behavior. The anger at Carlos always felt like a knee-jerk response that I didn’t like but at least it was temporary in the end. For TK on the other hand, ppl have been looking for excuses to hate on him since s1. Going as far as him bringing Lou the lizard home as proof of how he’s not good enough for Carlos.

All of this is something that has really been bothering me especially since there’s people who seem mad that Carlos wasn’t in ep 5 and I truly don’t understand why. I understand wanting more screen time, I always want both guys to have more screen time but I enjoyed the focus on Marjan and I want more for her. Plus we had 4 episodes straight focusing on Carlos where we learned so much about him and a lot of fans even got there wish about seeing him be the one in danger and TK rescue him. That’s actually another thing btw, while I liked ep 4 itself, I didn’t like how ppl were rejoicing at Carlos being hurt bc it would make “TK be the one to worry and show his love in a more obvious way.” Anyway, I don’t understand why some ppl were so mad at Carlos not getting screen time in this ep. I also understand wanting to see acknowledgment of what happened but I feel like it’s ok bc there’s so many brilliant coda fics for that. We didn’t really get any aftermath in the Push arc either but I don’t remember ppl complaining about that. TK was barely in any of the episodes after Push until the end of 307 and he was barely in this ep either. There are about 10 regulars on the show and this is the first time Marjan has had a big storyline so why is it such a bad thing that the focus was temporarily moved a bit? I genuinely don’t understand.  

Anyway, as I said before, I’m not trying to blame anyone or start anything. I just truly needed to get this off my chest so that I can sleep at night. As I said, I did enjoy the storyline overall. More than anything else, I’m just happy to move on from the angst and into the happy wedding-planning era. Personally, I don’t want anymore relationship-related drama. I know Rafa said that what happened in 404 would impact how Carlos dealt with things later on and I hope that means we see growth. I hope that means Carlos realizing that he has things he needs to work on the way TK did after Push. That’s all I want next for Tarlos and for Carlos

I hate Sydney Adamu so much I made my mom stay up 12am this morning so I can explain everything I hate about it! I really hate Sydney I hate how ppl make her out to be this savior or how she makes Carmy better which the fuck she don’t! Carmy did not need help from Sydney he was grieving his relationship with Mickey & his suicide. Dealing with “The Beef” which is a family restaurant but Sydney came in being this arrogant person that Carmy needed her help! Carmy didn’t need help with the menu or the design of the restaurant. I don’t know why Sydney is even there acting like he needs to call her for every approval. Only Natalie & Jimmy & Carmy needs to communicate because they are the ones with the money. Not Sydney talking about she wants a “star” fuck her! Well go open your own restaurant Sydney & get your star ⭐️ fucking weirdo! Carmy needs to put his foot down & fire Sydney she can’t handle pressure, she oversteps Carmy’s boundaries(involving Claire), and she is not respectful to Richie at all! I don’t root for Sydney at all & I am a 34 y/o BLACK WOMAN FROM Philadelphia! Sydney is not a good person she is hurt that’s why she came in the restaurant hurting Richie & even hurting Carmy by putting pressure on him. And her vomiting 🤮 at the end of season 2 episode 10 better for her health and not some anxiety effect cause that’s just corny! She better be sick & not like anxiety took over her so much that night when she didn’t do anything but watch everything Carmy did which is not her job. Sydney is the CDC so that means Carmy can be anywhere do anything he wants but she have to have control of the restaurant w/out being a weirdo and questioning Carmy about why he going to Claire’s table 😡that made me soo pissed and when he told her to refire the “7 fishes” she argued back with him & he said “I’m sorry” 1st not her but 5 mins before she was arguing with Tina and didn’t think Tina should say anything back to her & do what she say. I am so confused how Sydney think Carmy can’t confront her or challenged esp in the kitchen it’s disrespectful to him & it’s weird. Every woman is not always correct I’m tired of them trying to make Sydney like she is the only sane person! She is disrespectful to Carmy esp in the kitchen she always saying something back always!

Carmy is one of the best chefs in the world and Sydney only had a catering business & she is impatient & green! I don’t understand why ppl think Carmy needs Sydney to be better. hi! i'm curious - what are your thoughts on some ppl (maybe mostly in the minority?) have made comparisons of the carlos & iris rescue scene in 4x03 being parallel to that of tk/carlos in the iconic Push, and how they've said it kind of undermines the emotional weight in Push?

personally, i'm trying not to put too much weight on it, bc i think it's probably not as deep as they're making it out to be, and it makes logical sense for carlos to tell her to breathe as she was near hyperventilating at the time (if my memory serves me well, i'm not planning to rewatch it so pls do correct me if im wrong) – but the more cynical part of me can see where they're coming from as well (e.g. with the framing), and it's starting to get to me a little

my heart really does hurt for tk in that moment tho :( it certainly didn't help that carlos was being a jerk during that scene - this will def always be a skip for me. there's angst and then there's being a jerk for no reason bc he's what, mad? i can't imagine what/how tk must be feeling at the time

also, idk. there's not much to work with here, a part of me wondered (if it was intentional) if carlos was that spiteful enough to purposely do all of that to get a reaction out of tk (i doubt this. it's fucked up, but it's whatever, he's already walking a tightrope between being petty and also being an a*hole. i honestly wouldn't be surprised if the writers are trying to play this up for dramatic purposes), or if they'd just wanted to be sprinkle in the additional ✨ angst ✨ to get a reaction out of the audience instead, if it was completely unintentional, or it really isn't as deep as that.

This got a bit longer than I intended.

The “Breathe, breathe” scene in Push was a huge moment for them (& us) after their breakup – but I don’t really think the writers intended to have Carlos tell Iris the same thing to cheapen the scene in Push.

I totally get the people who had that gut reaction of “what the fuck, why would they have him say that like that?” and feel like it took away from the Tarlos scene – I do. The first time I watched the ep (I have had it on repeat pretty much anytime I am home alone while I am writing.),

I had a similar thought process – when I watched it again the 2nd time though, it made more sense to me narratively & like you said she was hyperventilating & in a decent amount of distress – telling her to breathe was pretty much the only thing he could say here. Saying something like “calm down” doesn’t always help when you are not in a position to think clearly – simple direction is much easier to follow (I say this as someone who has frequent panic attacks & telling me to calm down is not at all helpful) so, if someone was telling me to breathe – I would be able to follow that direction – telling me to calm down would only make me panic more – because I have to think about HOW to calm down.

I really do think that they are making Carlos’ less than perfect sides more obvious this season, that is why what we saw last year as a little bit of pettiness (3x13) now feels almost cruel at times. I understand why there are fans that just can’t get into this storyline – why they are struggling so much.

I have said since at least last season, the writers did a real disservice to Carlos by making his appear so perfect on the surface for so long. By finding ways to put the blame for any issues between them on TK, or just glossing over his need to keep everything in boxes & his control issues – made it so some fans didn’t need to look deeper at the character – they saw this absolutely gorgeous man, saw the ways he supported TK – thought he was the perfect boyfriend/fiancé, the cop with a good heart.

Now, all of a sudden, they are being confronted with the fact that Carlos has a past, one that some just can’t fathom. They are being forced to acknowledge that Officer Reyes is not perfect and they really don’t know how to handle it.

If we had any in canon hints (other than deleted scenes we won’t ever see) of the actual closeness of Iris & Carlos – some of the people that are struggling with this arc – may have been able to believe that this person was so important to Carlos (NOT MORE IMPORTANT THAN TK, BUT STILL IMPORTANT), but – we didn’t. So now, they have to build that now – and Rafa & Lyndsy are doing a fantastic job of showing a real emotional (platonic) relationship.  

The writers had to do something that would SHOW us their closeness – not just tell us, like some of the other parts of the storyline – and this was actually (imo) a beautiful way to do it. I don’t really think it was to be petty or dickish to TK, just to show us the emotional connection the characters share. The fact that Rafa & Lyndsy have pretty great chemistry helps this as well.

Carlos was definitely walking the very fine line between petty & dickish, but I think the writers need him to do that for this part – the 3rd act. In a lot of media – the 3rd act is the hard part – either emotionally or mentally – they needed to set up the angst and tension for when Carlos got shoveled to kick off the 4th act.

Would we lose our shit if Carlos went missing while things were perfect for Carlos & TK? absolutely – we love them. BUT – to have it happen when things aren’t as stable, when they are both too much in their feelings/heads to see clearly – that is where the real pay off comes from.

We know that Carlos & TK love each other deeply, we understand why TK went to talk to Iris, we know that it didn’t trigger anything for her. Carlos – doesn’t right now. He is a man that thinks rationally (because he tosses his problems in a box & throws away the key) – but right now rational thought isn’t something he is capable of.

The man had like 15 seconds of not being noticeably stressed the fuck out on screen before that “dream” venue called him – he has been riding on pure emotion and avoidance ever since.

It is easier to lash out (or treat not so great) the people that you KNOW love you. You know that they will be there when you realize what you did/said. We all do it in little ways all the time, (we have a bad day at work, then go home – and every little thing builds up until you blow up – typically not at the people/thing that originally caused your irritation). In this case – I think that Carlos blames himself for all of it – and he can’t shove it in a box – he has to face it, especially in this 4th act.

Carlos KNOWS that TK loves him. But this man is TERRIFIED of his actions hurting Iris, that he seems as though he is ignoring TK, or at least dismissing him. I go back and forth between thinking that Carlos was more defensive to TK in the bunkroom than trying to explain it – but that is an emotional response from me. When I take my emotions out – I can see the way his anxiety is tearing him apart, he is scared to hurting TK, of TK leaving – not because of something TK did – but because Carlos hurt him emotionally. He is scared of jeopardizing Iris’ health and wellbeing.

He also can’t see that these two people, the ones he loves most (in very different ways), are stronger than he can see – especially in this particular situation.

*We have NEVER seen Carlos be the one to fall apart. He is used to being the one putting the pieces back together, for the most part – keeping a clearer head, & connecting the dots. Right now – he isn’t able to do that – but he also won’t let TK or Iris really help him – which leads to the shoveling.

I know that Tim and Ronen keep hyping up Rafa’s acting in 4x04 – but I am also really looking forward to Ronen’s as well. Both of these men have been doing such an amazing job of making us feel all these annoying feelings.

I think another reason people are struggling to see Carlos being more standoffish to TK in 4x03 is that we have watched TK handle this situation so well. Carlos tells him that he has been legally married to someone during their whole relationship, TK listens to him, listens to his reasons on why. We have watched TK handle it with grace – but are now being shown Carlos not doing the same. And it does hurt. It hurts because we know how much they love each other, how much they truly need and want each other. So, to see real friction between them (probably the most we have seen – especially since they broke up off screen) hurts. Going into those scenes knowing that the shoveling was coming hurt more.

The hurt is intentional from the storytelling perspective– but I am hoping & optimistic about a pretty good pay off. I have a feeling that a lot of this elevated pettiness will be gone like the ‘lasting ramifications of hypothermia for TK’ last season, so I am not worried about that continuing either. Once he is rescued, we will get the super tactile, loving, beautiful Tarlos – one that has become stronger through their ordeals – both separate & together.

When in doubt: Just remember Tarlos is endgame & all roads lead to the wedding.

I love the discussions that this show brings up & my husband loves that I have people other than him to talk to about this show.

Of course he couldn’t just stray away from his routine due to him working but he planned on coming back the next day, in hopes that you would be there again. He was desperate even just to share a glance with you. Anything would suffice.

- The next morning on the way into the city, Nanami ensured that he passed that same coffee shop, and as hoped, there you were, once again conversing with your friends, the sun beaming down onto you. It highlighted every detail, every angle, every crease from your smile on your face. Nanami couldn’t help but stare, blushing as he did so. Only this time, you could feel someones eyes on you, causing you to turn to meet his eyes. You gave him a sweet smile, causing him to quickly turn away and carry on with his walk. You couldn’t help but think about this all day; who was he and why hadn’t you seen him before?

- This exchange continued to happen for the next couple of days until he finally mustered the courage to actually come and speak to you. You were in the queue, about to pay for you drink when you turned to see Nanami stood beside you: “We’ll also take a small black coffee with that”. Before you can even utter another word he had already paid. Of course you thanked him but you were a little set back by the whole situation as you weren’t expecting it. You weren’t complaining that you finally got to be around him, you just didn’t think that you would actually see the day.

- Nanami couldn’t help but glance from your eyes to your lips as the two of you spoke, his mind continuously wandering. You noticed it of course, never failing to fluster each and every time, just hoping that it would become more than just a glance, causing you to stutter every time you opened your mouth. “Something wrong hm?” , he says smiling to himself.

Alr so watched first two eps of s5 wwdits and my thoughts (in a numbered list woohoo):

1) Wait so the doc is called “what we do in the shadows” in universe?? Are they gonna have like a premiere ep way later in the series (like the offices qna kinda thing).

2) honestly I’m much happier than I was with the s4 premiere. I remember being pretty disappointed that we didn’t rlly get much from their Europe trip. I was so hoping that nadja and Guillermo would be friends/have mutual respect (quite a few ppl were talking ab it and I felt like it could have worked well and in hindsight we might have avoided the Freddie incident 😭). I remember being so mad like WHAT WE SKIPPED A WHOLE YEAR AND NOTHING CHANGED WITH GUILLERMO HE GOT SHIPPED IN A CRATE AGAIN?? I did like plenty of s4 (go flip yourself ep my beloved) but I wasn’t OBSESSED like I was with s1-3. I feel like this season might get me back into it more

3) love Colin he’s just always the same it never gets old lmaoo

4) just realized Derek’s wearing a collar and like punk pants lmaooo he’s getting a new look (maybe it’s not new at all but I only just noticed it now 😭)

11) I hope they bring nadja into the main story with smth unique. Laszlo found out and is getting involved (kinda training him considering the promo). Guillermo is nandors familiar so there’s a lot of possible material involving nandor regarding his vampirism. Nadja rn seems like she’s stuck in this b team plotline with the guide. I will definitely wait and see, but considering it seems like just the guide faking the hex and nadja learning to be nice I’m prob going to be more into the Guillermo stuff (and that seems like it’ll mainly involve just laszlo and nandor)

Anyways, I really enjoyed it and I’ll just keep hoping that Guillermo will one day have one of the main vampires be kind to him (((:

no one asked but real quick here r my opinions on ranma pairings that come to mind!! obv i’m not trying to say u Cant feel differently abt them, these r just my own thoughts

ranma/akane - if uve followed me for even half a day u already know this is my absolute fave one. yes it’s canon no that doesn’t make it boring, they understand each other on a level the other characters don’t even come close to

ranma/shampoo - die in a fire they r SO bad for each other (shampoo is significantly worse but ranma’s also not great to her)

ranma/ukyo - don’t love it but i suppose she’d be the next best choice after akane (at least as a pairing that could realistically happen in canon bc there’s no way something like ranryo would ever happen). i love ukyo but not with ranma, she doesn’t listen to his wants and honestly i think he’d hold her back, and i also don’t think she ever really was in love w him and just kinda felt obligated bc “oh shit if I cant kill him and I don’t marry him then I’ve wasted my life.” LOVE these two as besties tho

ranma/kodachi - literally dont feel like I need to say anything here, ive never seen anyone ship them

ranma/ryoga - not my cup of tea but I can see why ppl like it. genuinely it’s mostly bc i cant see ranma liking men lmao i mean he flirts w them for free food and whatever but he always gets grossed out when they try to respond. i personally see ranma as a lesbian

ranma/ryoga/akane - same as above except i understand it less. mmmmaybe if akane and ryoga both loved ranma but not each other?? ryoga and ranma had some actual chemistry, but akane and ryoga……… eeehh. speaking of!

akane/ryoga - don’t ship at all. ryoga is kinder to her than ranma if you’re judging on the surface, but he doesn’t fundamentally understand her the way ranma does and doubts her ability a lot more. (to the point ranma has to physically stop him in one episode to tell him “this is akane’s fight, she’s got this and will be mad if you meddle”) also the whole p-chan thing is creepy. i enjoy ryoga as character but i don’t think he fits w her at all

akane/shampoo - don’t like it. i mean i’ve read fics where shampoo admits to liking akane (or even just respecting her as a fellow female martial artist) but also like… that exists outside of canon shampoo to me lol. canon shampoo doesn’t care about other people, and she in particular is homophobic towards akane to her face

akane/ukyo - i like it to an extent! if it were in canon i wouldn’t want it to go beyond like akane blushing when ukyo saves her and maybe offhandedly saying something like “she’s so cool” and ukyo, after spending some time w akane, admitting to herself that she can understand why ranma likes her. i think it’s cute to think abt

akane/kodachi - i love this but only one-sidedly. in canon i’d want kodachi to be Like That with ranma purely to rile up akane bc she wants her attention. i mean literally already in canon kodachi seems to not know what to do once she actually gets ranma other than dangle him over her alligator and wait for akane to save his ass. it’d be a funny twist for her to be doing all this just bc she wants to see akane and doesn’t think to just talk to her like a normal person

shampoo/mousse - don’t like at all

shampoo/ukyo - no real thoughts but I don’t love it. maybe similar to how I feel abt ranryo but while my feelings for that as neutral/positive this is neutral/negative

ukyo/ryoga - i can see why ppl like it and I believe I did too back in 2011 or so when i first watched it, but i feel like most ppl who ship this have only watched the anime (valid! but their manga partners are both great characters imo). I didn’t rlly see it at all upon rewatch and reading the manga put the final nail in the coffin. they’d be fun as friends tho! i like that they have a silly friendship similar to akane and mousse’s friendship where they’re more Worsties than anything but will hang out with and help each other if they need to

ukyo/tsubasa - no. i have very mixed feelings abt tsubasa as is, but ukyo has no interest in him and sees him as an annoyance so i wouldn’t want her to be w someone she doesn’t like (side note: used he/him for tsubasa bc he’s very open abt being a crossdresser. i know that crossdresser is used as a transphobic insult in the series, but… eehhh… tsubasa isn’t really like ranma and konatsu who are both pretty blatantly not cis. he declares himself as a guy all the time, which yeah ranma does too, but ranma’s whole character development is how that breaks down for him)

ukyo/konatsu - yes, i think they’re sweet and konatsu is very supportive of ukyo’s goals. i think this pairing would need more development before i’d really want it declared Officially Canon. i mean it is, but obv ukyo still has some feelings to work out similarly to ryoga and his canon gf, and i think she’d need to more clearly let go of ranma before this could truly blossom in canon. i love konatsu and i love ukyo and i think they’d be good girlfriends after a little work

ryoga/akari - love it, it’s sweet and i LOVE akari. like I said i think ryoga needs to work thru some shit/let go of akane to truly appreciate akari, and it’s annoying he’s still attached to her when he has a gf but i understand it’s difficult to just Stop liking someone you’ve liked for prob a solid year or so just bc u got asked out by someone else

his saving grace was saturday nights where him, matsukawa and either matsu’s new gf of the week or iwa/oikawa (depending on if either were in town) would join them at a bar for drinks. maki loved it. the owner was this guy who had been here since the dawn of time, there was usually either stand up, karaoke or some band playing at the stage. it was an environment he felt he belonged in. despite every surface being a little sticky and the overall stench of the place consisting of beer and cheap perfume.

however, one saturday maki was alone. matsun was out of town and neither oikawa nor iwazumi were in japan at the time but he still went to the bar that night. a little drunk and a little pissed off at his co-workers, makki wrote his name on a price of paper and dropping it in the hat to be picked out of. tonight was stand up and if he was being honest, maki knew he was naturally a funny guy. he could make any situation hilarious, just the way he told stories and roasted ppl made them funny as hell.

“NEXT UP ISSsss- hanamaki!”

oh shit, now i actually have to go up there. he thought. he wasn’t nervous though, more just annoyed even though he volunteered for this. the crowd was already a bit dead and he was too mad at his life and drunk to care if he bombed or not. he started going on about his boss, stuff like how could a man in such a high position be so stupid. he went on about his co workers and his neighbors and his childhood. how growing up in single mother household with two older sisters was the definition of heaven and hell. (mostly hell) he glanced at the timer by his feet. 10 seconds. “wow only 10 seconds left? well thank you guys for laughing with me about my life. i’m Maki. y’all have a great night.” he closed off with a small roar of applause and stepped down ready to head out.

as he was collecting his things from his place at the bar, a man comes up to him slugging his arm around Maki suddenly. “you were pretty good up there y’know. you do stand up anywhere eles ‘round town?” he asked with an itialinan or brooklyn accent which makki found particularly unusual as they were in japan. “oh. nah man. that was my first time.” he replied casually whilst brushing the man’s arm off him to pull on his coat. “mm well i thought you were definitely something up there.” the man reaches into his front pocket of his trousers to pull out a card with matalic writting SI Alley on it. “i run a comedy club a little ways down, you shoukd really come by.” and the man slipped away.

little did he know that that one interaction changed Maki’s poor boring life into something much more exciting.

( a/n: uh basically he never showed up for his office job ever again. didn’t formally quit. no email. just didn’t show up monday. and now makes his living off doing stand up gigs and bartends at the SI Alley. 16. you can't understand why so many people like this thing (characterization, trope, headcanon, etc)

Shoot, I have many answers to this, but since a post I saw recently reminded me of one of the most beautifully written yet bewildering fics I’ve ever read, I’m gonna say one thing I truly don’t understand is the fandom’s characterization of Bucky. Specifically, their characterization of Bucky in SamBucky fics. People will make him be such an asshole to Sam, like downright awful, not in an enemies to lovers way, but in a “he’s just a jackass” way, and then they never have a payoff. That is, he never really apologizes. He doesn’t have any character growth. It’s like half the fandom see him as a baby and half the fandom sees him as an asshole, (some of them see him as both 🙃) and it’s so weird because these are his fans lol.

I’ve said more than once, nobody hates Bucky more than a self-proclaimed Bucky stan lol, and I meant it. For example, in that ff I mentioned, he just started being complete shit to Sam out the blue one day, for like 7K words, and then they got back together without him doing any real work. And that happens a lot in fics, and I just don’t get why fans of Bucky see him this way, and want to portray him that way. Shit, I think he was the worst in like 75% of TFATWS series, and I still don’t write him that way in fics, because I don’t think that’s true to the character in general. And actually, people were writing him like that long before the show anyway, but still, I’m just saying… I don’t get their reasoning either way lol.

I could also go into why I don’t get why the rest of his fans characterize him as a simpering helpless baby who is being bullied, but then we’ll be here all damn day lol.

Okay, so the other day I saw a Roy/Jamie fic floating around, and ngl I rolled my eyes a little because I see them like Shaq & Kobe. I love their enemies to bros energy/grudging friendship thing. So, I was being kinda judgey, but clicked on it anyway, because sometimes I just click on stuff to make myself mad and get offended lol… but Christ why was it cute 🫣 I am mad I liked it. Steve’s ending. I didn’t even have to think twice about this. Steve’s damn ending. Sheesh. I have my own complaints about it, (said the complainer lol) but I am sick to death of hearing it be discussed. Mainly because everyone discussing it is either doing it wrong or doing it for the wrong reasons. But, either way, I’m plain tired of it. 99% of the ppl constantly complaining are either undercover racists mad about Sam being Cap now, or undercover Stickies mad that their fanon ship that was never going to happen, didn’t happen. Almost nobody ever brings up Sam, the best friend he actually left. Not only left, but left holding the bag (shield). So, yeah, I don’t want to hear it. When they start complaining now, I’m liable to jump in and defend him lol. It’s made me the #1 Steggy shipper. I hope they’re somewhere slow dancing in a VFW Banquet Hall right now.

Ok hear me out- the suffer brothers are great and all. The story they have written so far is great and look at all the attention it got. But sometimes they’re put on this pedestal like they’re gods. Yes they brilliant, but they ARE human. All the theories going around talking about ‘What if they made it look like this, for a big twist’ ‘what if they actually didn’t forget wills birthday and it’s gonna be a plot line in s5’ Like cmon, not every single detail in the show is relevant and some big conspiracy. Like how everyone’s mad abt them forgetting wills birthday, shit I would too! They wrote that what?..4-5 years ago?? Maybe longer? Would you remember a small detail like that? Like I’m sorry but the writers are allowed to forget tiny details. It’s not affecting the main plot in any way. Maybe the fans will be mad bc it could’ve been something more, but they are literally human bro. If they come up with some insane twist, props to them. I bet they could. But they are not gods! Some ppl need to give them a break..🥴

I follow this blog that had insane theories abt Billy coming back and at one point believed them, but can we as a fandom just face the fact that maybe the writers actually have never even thought of that? As fans of certain characters, we will pay more attention to them. As writers they are looking at ALL of them. Not the specific tiny details of every single one. My biggest problem with what you said is the fact they don't rewatch their own show. Like yeah, they created something brilliant and are good writers in some areas and I agree not every detail is intentional or important but they have twisted a bunch of stuff from past seasons to fit s4 and I hate that.

It comes across as careless especially the whole Max and Billy relationship which feels disconnected from S3 as if it didn't happen anf Billy died in S2 when they were at eachother's throats. The forgetting Will's birthday I laughed at but in S1 Winona Ryder had to tell them certain songs hadn't been released yet because they hadn't bothered to do some research. Fic writers do more research than that.

I agree that they're human and aren't masterful geniuses but damn google is right there. They claim they spent all of lockdown perfecting S4 and it was really good but they fucked up certain parts and that's fine to point out.

They're not going to write what we create here and that's fine because I enjoy what they have done and what we have separately. I enjoy their 80s fanboy story and they're not interested in exploring certain characters which is a shame but fair enough.

I do think they get shat on and praised too highly at the same time. Some areas they do brilliantly and others they lack concerningly so but same lol.

Some of the shit fans pull up is insane. They really aren't that thorough and Billy is well dead. I didn't even expect his cameo. That's why people believing Eddie is alive make me laugh. They said he was written to die, that's why he was so likeable. Which in and of itself is lazy because they're scared to kill of the main cast and almost killed Max.

Most of the heartfelt character driven moments are from the actors themselves. Billy's dad, Robin coming out and El's hand on Billy's face. Amazing moments they didn't think of but that doesn't matter because they happened.

I mostly agree with you but I do think they need to at least google a few things every now and then lol

Random newsies headcanons i haven’t gotten the chance to use in my fics or rant abt (Albert edition). This is really family relationship oriented but some are just my boy albo being albo.

Some are fluffy some are angsty. I’ll put trigger warnings in the tags. Enjoy:)

Canonically, Albert has two older brothers. I have affectionately named the first one Nathaniel and the second one Theodore

The DaSilva household strictly uses each other’s nicknames. Nathan, Theo, and Al. By simply calling their full first name means they’re in trouble or made someone mad.

So we all know it’s only the three boys and their father because their mother had died from cancer. Albert was only 10, Theodore 14, and Nathaniel 17.

Their father pretty much closed up for a good few days after the funeral, so the boys only had each other for the most part.

Mr. DaSilva (lord knows what his first name is, not me. Don’t @ me for that lolz:D) bounced back eventually bcs he is their father. And he knows the three can’t run the house on their own.

With his wife gone, the family loses another source of income. Fortunately, Mr. DaSilva was graduating law school around the time Mrs. DaSilva died.

He’s a veteran. He left the Air Force when they found out they were having Al. He worked his way up to get a law degree so he can be a law consultant. He was luckily hired in a law firm that allowed him to work from home for the most part, which means he’ll have time to look out for the kids.

Mrs. DaSilva used to work from home. She was a health consultant after not making the cut to get into any desirable pre med majors. But she still found her dream life. A loving husband and three kids.

Albert loves to reminisce on his parents relationship. It was like being in a romcom movie. Al wld never admit it out loud, but it’s his dream to find something like what they had.

Even after getting that law consultant position, Mr. DaSilva opened up a burger joint with all of his homemade recipes to make sure their income would be enough for him and his sons. And it’s always been a dream for him to open up his own restaurant.

Nathan helps out as well being his father’s business partner. He first joined the air force, following his dad’s footsteps, but left when he found out his wife (affectionately named Olivia) is pregnant with their second child. He went to business school to further his knowledge.

The DaSilva brothers handled the grief of their mother’s death in different ways. Nathan kept himself busy. Too busy sometimes. Theo got addicted to drugs. He doesn’t usually get easily persuaded to do anything he doesn’t want to, even by his own friends, but that grief really struck him pretty bad. As for our boy Al, he pretty much concealed all of his feelings. Thinking that if he didn’t feel it, he won’t have to deal with it.

(Boy that was angsty. In my head that fits well so again don’t @ me)

But Albert actually grew to learn that his way of grieving isn’t healthy. He learned that from his friends, albeit not the most well informed ppl in the world since they are still kids. It mostly went like ‘i think it’s better for you to talk abt it’

Bcs like, he fell into a depressive period months after his mother’s funeral. He went to therapy to help him out.

Racer was the one who actually convinced him to get help. They met in the third grade and have been inseparable ever since

His family had noticed the change after Al went to therapy. Bcs when he was still numbing himself from after the funeral, he lost the light of joy in him. Which is odd bcs between the four of them Albert was always the most cheerful one, since he is the youngest.

The family was more than glad they got the old Albert back. Puberty might have rocked with his emotions but he still has the tiniest naive nature that brings the family together.

Always reminiscing on the days they shared with their mother, smiling at all the things that reminded him of her, and frequently getting the family to visit her grave.

Not even his dad wanted to visit for awhile, not wanting to cry in front of his boys. Despite all three of his boys knows full well how much he feels abt it

Mr. DaSilva never got married again. He’s content with the life he had when their mother was alive and what comes after that. Especially when he got around to actually handling that grief with a proper therapist.

He also got that push from when he found out Theodore fell into addiction. He overdosed and Albert found him just in time and it shook him real good.

(Idk why i think this is all so fitting for the family but yeah don’t question too much into it lol)

So through grief of his mother’s passing and guilt of his brother’s addiction, it’s safe to say Albert isn’t in a good place for quite awhile. Especially seeing that he’s growing to be a teen yaknow. He ended up continuing therapy for more than just that grief.

Luckily he’s got great friends. As mentioned before, he met Racetrack in the third grade. But he also met Hotshot and Spot in middle school. That was when his family had to move to Brooklyn for a year to stay at a relatives’ house, seeing that they weren’t really financially stable.

But by the time high school came around, he was back in Manhattan and met the rest of the newsies there. Albert is still close friends with Spot and Hotshot though.

The new friend group he gained in high school helped him out a lot. He’s got a bit of a low self esteem yknow, but his friends are great help.

They’re also a great support system seeing that his home life isn’t entirely rainbows and sunshine for a good while. The older he got, the more he understood things, and the more depressing things just seems

Theodore isn’t necessarily doing great either. After that OD, he struggled to stay clean despite his promises to the family. It sorta ripped the family apart, with Nathaniel and their father fighting with him over it.

It wasn’t pretty with Nathaniel and his wife Olivia either. Nathan likes to be kept busy. Whether it’s the family owned restaurant, the Air Force, family shit, or his business school. She felt a bit neglected and had to raise their first born daughter on her own, so yeah that’s fucking stressful.

So this gives a reason for Albert to get out of the house and go to their house. As a way to escape the shitshow and to also play with his niece. He’s a great uncle yall. He was surprised by himself that he even likes kids in the first place.

Olivia also became like an actual sister. Or how Albert would call her, Via. They grew quite close. Maybe because Albert misses his mother, or that he misses having a family that got along.

In Olivia’s place, he could just pretend that the family he had there was the only family he got. A loving older sister and a cute baby sister. You could imagine how overjoyed he was when he found out another baby was coming.

Out of all of his friends, Racetrack was the only one who knew the most abt his home life. In competition with Hotshot and Spot, and he got the upper hand because Race lives a lot closer.

Race wonders often why Albert just never said anything about his true feelings to the family. Which he could, seeing that he doesn’t like taking other ppl’s shit. Albert knows if he joins in the fight, it’d just get worse. And it already is seeing that the family still sees him as a baby brother.

He keeps himself busy for the most part. Doing regular teenager things. Getting okay-ish grades and joining his school’s basketball team. His father wanted him to join the football team, but Albert despises football with a passion.

Every year for the NFL, Albert’s family hosts a big get together. He always makes an exaggerated point of how much he doesn’t care abt the damn sport but still goes for the food. And also the rest of his family will find it rude if he isn’t there.

His immediate family knows and doesn’t mind ofc regarding his hate for football. They think it’s quite funny how he pisses off a lot of the uncles by doing absolutely anything else other than watching the NFL during those get togethers.

So yeah, Albert still deeply loves his family. It’s partly bcs of his mom. She was very family oriented. Loved freely and unapologetically.

He’s definitely a mother’s boy compared to his brothers. But obv he still loves his father dearly.

It’s even on his face. Nathan and Theo look more like their father whilst Albert, though shares the same face genes as Mr. Dasilva, carries the soft shapes and edges of his mother. He even inherited his mother’s acne prone skin which he found out when he hit puberty.

His father told him it’s natural to get acne, seeing that he’s in his hormonal teen phase. Yet Albert still feels insecure. His face is ridden with a lot more acne than most of his school friends when he was in middle school and sometimes get made fun of for it.

So he grew to learn about skincare for that sole reason. He’s always trying new brands to see what goes well for his skin.

Al has always been close with his brothers, but notably Theo. Nathan always felt a bit absent since he’s always keeping himself busy. His wife can tell him that (dw they eventually work things out hehe).

Which is why it was earth shattering when he OD’d. It’s a lot worse when Al found out Theo didn’t have any intentions in staying clean after going through rehab.

Ever since they found out about his addiction, as mention before, it kinda tore their family up. Especially his relationship with Nathan.

Nathan is known to be more strict and bu the rule type of guy and Theo felt like he was being controlled by him after being released from rehab.

But he did end up getting clean. Slowly but surely with his own method by slowly phasing it out. His father and Al were really supportive, but Nathan isn’t entirely on board after him rebelling against him.

Theo ended up going to college and getting a degree in statistics and became a data analyst. He works remotely and lives in a van because he likes to travel and go on roadtrips.

Albert likes Theo the most for those reasons, and also because he is around the most. He thinks he’s so cool and has always been by his side the most.

Albert also ended up convincing hus dad to adopt two big dobermans before he entered high school. Two girls, Zoe and Zara, and they started out as small pups.

Then they turn into two big dogs in no time. He and his father trained them together and they became very well behave dogs. He loves them dearly.
