It’s the middle of the week, have some dancing turtles

Spoilers below as I gush about my Mutant Mayhem Monday experience 🤗 please feel free to gush with me I wanna hear other people’s thoughts too!

First off… When Seth wanted to put the teenager in TMNT he meant it. Like, all the versions act like teenagers, but like Nickelodeon PG stereotypical teens. MM turtles were the realest PG-13 outta pocket 21st century teenagers I’ve ever seen and I love that shit because it’s the first time I actually felt like I was around the kids in middle school and high school again with the way they talk. Kinda appreciate Superfly cussing too? Like idk it’s Ice Cube and this villain goes hard tryna kill some teenage turtles he formally saw as his lil cousins, let the grown mutant cuss

Also uh, was not expecting to be sad so early in the movie? Like I could tell from the trailers it was gon be an emotional rollercoaster but shit like ten minutes in and these turtles are fuckin depressed. And to see it really hit me because in every other version (except for Bayverse) the turtles literally never let not being part of the human world get to them. In the shows especially they’re so well adjusted and never bothered by sticking to the shadows. Then there’s Rise where they pretty much go out whenever they want and indulge in most of the human world stuff they want to. For these guys to be so stunted and desperate to have more freedom was so heart wrenching. Especially when Splinter grounds them for a whole month and the reality sinks in of how much they know the life they want isn’t an option for them

Wasn’t expecting any kind of ship or romance but that crush Leo has on April hit me like truck because…… holy crap the Leo-April pair has never been a thing? On top of that this is only the second on screen black April we’ve seen and I’ve been a Leo kinnie across the board since day one so to see this combo of my favorite character liking a black girl is making me lose my mind 🥲 and like it got me thinking of several of my favorite shows and the single characters I kin in those and if they’ve ever had black love interests and it’s just still not a common normalized thing honestly.

I’m sure a lot of people aren’t excited for the prospect of ships coming back (especially after 2012 scarred us) but as a Leo lover and black girl it got me so excited to see something like this. I’m just hopeful and optimistic they won’t mess it up like a lot of shows do. The “this is just as friends line” already makes me a little worried bc that trope never has a good history but I have faith they’ll handle things tastefully and not make it toxic or messy

I will never understand what made Donnie laugh so hard at the name Nardo other than it being because it’s his sibling and that it bothers Leo lmao

All imma say about the puke scene is that I’m glad I heard an “out of context” spoiler about it bc I knew exactly when to look away and I’m glad I did bc the scene lasted for so long??? 😀❓But hey at least I had Unwritten to listen too while I was sparing my eyes 😂

The sequence of them going around and shaking down those gangs and Superfly’s connections. BAD. ASS. And each of them got their own moments to shine? Loved it. Like they each even got to take point and have their moments where they got to kick in the door lol. And the fight scenes were just, muah. Chef’s kiss, they all looked amazing taking grown ass adults down together

Okay Splinter definitely gets the best dad award for putting together that little surprise party, with all the celebrity Chris’s and pretending to wait on them 🥺 so pure. It did make me sad the guys immediately left and you can just see such a sad dejected look on Splinter’s face, knowing he can’t provide what his kids really want or make them happy enough without it 🥲 At the very least they say thanks and that they appreciate but I would’ve at least stayed for a lil bit and gone along with it, Splinter just looked so excited about it and it was so sweet 😭

And he doesn’t even get upset though he knows they’re hiding something, he just says he’ll help them if they’ve gotten into trouble, which is something I’m sure almost every kid has wanted instead of having the kind of relationship where they’re more scared of telling their parents they messed up instead of handling it on their own

I love how musical Superfly’s family is 😂 Ray Filet just starts sing-introducing his name and Mondo and the other couple mutants when they drive with in the car trying to find music they could all sing to together 🥹 not to mention the musical references Superfly makes later that I’ll get to. “Kinda don’t wanna murder everyone on Earth, I just kinda wanna sing” Me too bruh.

Raph immediately going “goochi goochi goo” and playing peekaboo with Genghis frog is so underrated that boy has such a soft side he’s not even that afraid of showing at times, and maybe it’s continuing the trope of Raph having a soft spot for pets/animals? Who knows 😌

Yo I was kinda shook when that government guy knocked Leo out and he just fell unconscious on the ground 😶 Like we’re used to seeing the authorities be brutal especially in movies like this but that’s a whole teenager? You just assaulted a minor? 🙂 Crazy

Also I know it’s sad they got captured and drained painfully but Mikey in that scene was hilarious 😂 like even the way he was dramatically crying and Leo was just started to cry with him like “iM sO sOrRy mIkEeEeEy! 😭” gold. When one of his children is hurting Leo hurts too. One of my favorite moments 🤣

They literally started singing BTS while being tortured they’re so unserious but like in a serious way to them and I love it. Also the fact that they did it just to make Donnie feel better? So pure. Like Raph of all turtles offered to sing while being drained of blood (bc I refuse to use the m word 💀)

The way Splinter snuck in and soloed literal government soldiers single handedly? Badass. Never loved seeing a Splinter save his sons so much 🥹

“But it’s the only way we’ll be accepted.”

“No! We accept you!”

“You can come live with us! We accept you!”

“WE VIBE!”

Oml they’re so puuuuure 😭 I really thought this was gonna be a moment where the guys invite them all to come live with them and Splinter was gonna be like ‘aha 😬 whoa slow down there’ but damn nah he was just as enthusiastic as them inviting all those mutants to come live in their home forever “The more the merrier!” Like ugh he just loves finding family like Baxter Stockman and we see where the guys got their loving nature from 🥹

The amount of his soul Mikey put into that BROSEEEPH was so real like I’ve never heard the name broseph be said in any other way, I’m so glad they put that moment in there

“New York, New York!” “I’m the king of New York!”

Oml superfly’s a Broadway baby 🤗 he’s a big bad villain marching through time square and talking about King Kong but he’s fill gonna nerd out and make his musical theatre references 😂

I love the Leo Raph dynamic in this movie. Like they don’t always agree or understand each other but they will show love towards one another and show mutual appreciation

Something about any of the turtles shells cracking always gets to me for some reason like those are some serious permanent injuries so I want to see if they do anything special with that in the sequel or show maybe 🤔 And I couldn’t tell if all of theirs cracked or just one, and if so which turtle it was. I think Leo or Raph. I feel like it was Leo but Raph’s are also starting to have a trend of getting cracks in their shells so 🤷🏽‍♀️

Also I do not want to judge what other people like to wear but why are Raph and Donnie the only normal dressed ones 😭 like Mikey looks like he’s going on vacation and Leo looks like he’s going to clock in at Best Buy 😂 tell me it’s because they have limited resources for clothes lmao. HE’S LITERALLY WEARING A LANYARD

Them taking off the masks was crazy honestly… like them deciding not to wear them made my brain pause until I realize they’re kids going to school now and not being ninjas all the time… they don’t need them anymore. I’m just so pleased with the fact that this movie was willing to do what all other iterations weren’t. I see why they’re getting a sequel and show already, these guys and the plot development deserve so much more exploration

Maybe I missed something in the beginning but I’m wondering where Stockman went. Like is he still in custody? Did he die? Because not seeing him again that’s what I assumed but we only saw him get arrested or whatever, so if anything I don’t get why Superfly and the others wouldn’t try to break him out 🤔 I was surprised they didn’t make him a villain though, but I’m pretty happy about him getting to be a more optimistic kind character tho

SHREDDER HAD ME SHOOK LIKE THE ARMOR ALREADY LOOKED SO COOL AND I WAS NOT EXPECTING THEM TO GET THE BIG BAD INVOLVED AHHHH I’M SO READY TO SEE THEM REACT TO THIS ANGRY GIANT TIN CAN

Although I do wonder if Shredder’s gonna have some personal gripe with them since they have a different backstory he doesn’t seem to be a part of. And shit now that they’re public and in school it’s gonna be so much easier for him to go after them 😅 pluses and minuses…

The soundtrack: golden. Cultured. Nothing but range. Goes from a 90’s rap song to Natasha Bedingfield’s soulful 2000’s song. Most movies only ever have all pop mainstream songs or only rap songs because they think they can’t mix but MM does it effortlessly. The turtles are so versatile not just with music genres but they make old and new references ‘cause they’re well rounded kings 💪🏽 Between rizz, Adele, broski, Hey Arnold, K-Pop, Ferris Bueller, etc… I mean Donnie’s literally doing the sprinkler and the funky chicken in that gif up top 😂 they’re born in 2008 I doubt any kids today know about those dances anymore

Clearly I have all the thoughts and feelings about these boys and the movie, but I think this is probably my favorite TMNT movie? I’ve loved all of them but I think this one definitely brings me the most comfort fr

Why I think Nocturne is way better than the OG Castlevania series

Sorry, when I try to shut up about this show I be like

so here’s my unsolicited, highly biased word vomit that will contain spoilers at the end (but those will be under a cut) so read at your own risk! Okay, leggo

It’s actually diverse.

One thing about high fantasy is that it’s almost always Eurocentric. Even if it’s not set in Europe, the characters are gonna inexplicably have British accents because we associate that with high fantasy. We’re gonna have European style “old” clothing choices. And if everyone isn’t white, they might as well be because they’ll only throw in a couple ambiguously brown side characters and call it a day. Or if they make a main character a POC then best believe everyone around them will be white.

Nocturne, tho? Oh, you can tell it’s made with more than just a sprinkle of representation. They didn’t just make Olrox indigenous, they tied his Aztec lineage in beautifully. Annette was a slave but it’s not flattening her character because of it. Drolta came to slay but even she has her authentic background. Which leads me to my next point!

The Black characters especially are done tastefully.

Like… don’t get me wrong. I love Isaac. He was the only reason I stayed tuned into Castlevania past season 1, LMAO! But his backstory felt like straight trauma porn cooked up by a non-Black person who wanted an excuse to see a Black man whipped for character development.

Zodwa Nyoni wrote some episodes for Nocturne and she put her FOOT in it. When it came to addressing Annette’s time as a slave, her connection to the Orisha through her bloodline… I was gobsmacked at how accurate everything was and now I know why LOL! Like, for me, it’s always gonna be hard to see slavery in fiction but I can’t say shit bad about how it was tied into everything in this show. Annette’s ancestors play such a huge part in her growth and it just warmed my heart to see a Black girl whoop some colonizer ass without it feeling hamfisted. 🥹

The token relationship is the cishet one, everyone else is gay asf

I love that trope flipped on it’s head, ngl LMAO! I, by default, HC everyone as bi anyway but MAN was it nice to see Olrox and Mizrak speedrun enemies to lovers and a hint of Drolta’s devotion/gayness to Erzsebet.

I know the majority of my fictional character thirsting leans male but don’t get it twisted; I jump for JOY for gay shit in media 😂 The only reason I don’t thirst as hard for female characters is because I prefer my men fictional but my women real.

That being said, this series sent me into bi panic and I’d like to be manhandled in a room by Drolta and Olrox.

Nocturne’s first season plays out neater than the OG’s first season.

Like… okay. My main beef with the OG series was that after they defeated Dracula, the rest of the show felt like a meandering fanfic. Sure, there were a few badass moments, but the energy kinda faltered for me and I was bored with a lot of it. I hope they don’t do the same with Nocturne; they left off at a nice cliffhanger which builds anticipation for the next season and… idk it feels more cohesive already? They coulda speedran kicking Erzsebet’s face in like the OG trio did to Dracula but I’m so glad they left us a lil something to look forward to.

Like damn for the past fifty-leven years he was in that castle by himself going “do I wanna talk to Sypha and Trevor plushies again or do I wanna make myself even more of a bad bitch?” Then he chose the latter, went to the salon, got his hair bleached platinum along with some sew in extensions for volume, beat his face with Fenty, and said “sorry Drolta but there can be only one vampire baddie on this earth and hunny I’m TAKIN IT”

He looks more like his video game design this way too, which I love! I hate that he took out Cuntress McSlay tho 😔 Drolta I will always love you!!

Mmkay. Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to start a cult to Olrox real quick. Erzsebet ain’t the only god walking the earth and I feel he just needs good marketing!

Hello! Welcome to this edition of "Silver just rants and rants and rants about the worldbuilding of a fanfic". Why not start things off with my most elaborate fanfic?

This is an outfit reference I made for Dimitri to use during the Ethereal Moon Ball in Wolf Lord.

Aka: "the outfit he was supposed to wear when he was going to propose to Byleth but then he didn't do it at the last minute", whoops.

I wanted to imagine what kind of clothes Dimitri would use when not at Murder School, so something that might fit in at court, but is taken up to 11 for a formal event. Since he's A Literal Prince, he gets to use ermine fur (a symbol of royalty). His cape is "princely", a hint of his future High Lord and Great Lord outfits with his big, swishing King Cape. Also he gets to have boots with the fur (the fur!!!!)

Also yes, he has the Crest of Blaiddyd embroidered in silver string out on his belt and surcoat, as well as part of his clothes' clasps. Fun fact: embroidering precious metal string is called goldwork and requires highly skilled and specialized manual labor. That belt and trim are a splurge. Kinda like him wearing a gucci belt. But, compared to Claude (who is wearing cloth-of-gold which is "I'm so fucking rich my threads ARE GOLD") and Edelgard (who has a SOLID GOLD EAGLE HAIR STICK that is btw super fucking heavy but she's dedicated to the look, with HAND MADE BLACK LACE DETAILS AND GLOVES with some pearls tastefully sewn on the wrists....... she's giving that "romantique vampire qween of several millennia of accumulated wealth" levels of loaded), you can tell that he's not THAT rich. Note to self: maybe actually draw the others' outfits because I spent months looking at GOT costuming videos and details and have a bunch of ideas that would look cool but then promptly never described. Or maybe make a post later. IDK might have to think it over.

Anyway back to Dimitri: as royalty, he wears an ermine fur collar and trimmings. This is also another splurge that is cost-effective, since his territory IS known for luxury furriers. They don't mention the pelt/furrier industry in 3 Hopes, I think? But it makes sense for Faerghus to make bank with furs and good-quality leather. He might be a prince of the least wealthy country on the continent, but he is still royalty.

Dimitri himself didn't choose this outfit, but his Good Uncle Rufus (unironic, Rufus is actually a good dude in this fic) helped him pick out the outfit to give that "wow" factor that would match well with Byleth's outfit so that when they came back from the proposal the whole club would be lookin' at them the future King and Queen of Faerghus would look nice together...

Anyway, POV you're Rufus and you just spend weeks on end coaching your nephew to make a good impression on the only woman he has shown any kind of romantic interest so when he proposes she won't just go like "👁.👁 what" and then you get a letter saying "hey uncle lmao guess what i forgot to propose 🤪"

I'll upload Byleth's outfit with another batch of brainworms tomorrow, I wrote this entire post in a mad dash of inspiration (which is tbh the best way to Tumblr amirite) so it might have typos and weird jumping around especially at the end with all the flo-rida song lyrics, apologies but I am a mere vessel of the dimileth gods thatse it i cannae help it..........

You don’t expect Loki to be so skilled at healing

(This took me foreeeever to write lol)

“Let me see.” he murmurs, walking closer to the bed that you are half sitting, half laying on.

Your instinct is to say no. Regardless of whoever’s presence you’re in, you always run when you’re in pain. You don’t like for anyone to see you weak. You don’t like to be in vulnerable positions. 

Especially not around Loki. Loki, with his perfect hair and skin and self. Loki, who exuded confidence and poise wherever he went.

You could be the healthiest person on Earth, and you would still be vulnerable around him. There was little, if anything, for you to do about that.

“I’m trying to hep you, you know.” he says. Your hand doesn’t move, heavy against your stomach. Your shirt is red with blood, and you can’t help but think about how fake movies make everything look. And easy. You’re shaking, choking back tears and biting your cheeks so hard they hurt. “Please.”

Loki’s voice is thick. Please. You had known the god for four years, and you weren’t sure if that word had ever come out of his mouth. You had never seen him before, not like this.

Keeping eye contact, you slowly put your stained hand down on the bed. Loki’s eyes soften, just a bit, and he pulls up a chair and sits.

His sleeves are rolled up, revealing his strong arms and nimble hands. Normally, you curse yourself for taking note of these things, but you need distractions right now. Your breathing is becoming more labored by the second.

Loki’s fingers pause at the hem of your shirt, just for a second, before they lift it up.

He looks away as soon as he sees your wound, cursing.

“I’m sorry.” he says, sounding angry. “It was an Asgardian weapon that pierced you. This is my fault.” you feel confused, your head heavy and thoughts hazy.

“I thought all the Asgardian relics were destroyed after-” 

“No.” Loki cuts you off before you say the name. His fingers go to his neck when you reference the Titan, but the action is fleeting, Quickly, all attention is returned to you. “My brother and I are proof of that.”

Your eyes begin to close, and you feel a cool hand cup your cheek. Loki’s thumb runs over your cheekbone. He leans forward, pressing his forehead against yours.

“This is my fault.” he says softly. “I’ve made so many enemies. I shouldn’t have let you come with me. I was selfish.”

“Stop.” your voice is weak. “Loki, I-”

“No.” Loki presses a finger to your lips. He swallows, then traces your mouth and jawline with the pads of his fingers. “Save your energy.”

His hands return to your midsection, lifting your shirt all the way this time. You look away, not wanting to see the full severity of your situation, but after time, your gaze shifts back to Loki.

His brow is furrowed, and he’s surprisingly efficient. All of his focus is on you, committed to making sure you’re alright. You have to assume Loki has done this before. He cleans your stab wound with a pitcher of water and a rag you didn’t even see him collect. He knew exactly when you needed a break, and carefully trailed his hands over other sections of your stomach when the pain was becoming too much. Drawing sensation to a different part of your body- a distraction tactic. 

It was almost heartbreaking to watch. You knew Loki well, having skirted the line between friends and lovers for years now. But even in your closeness to him, you had only ever seen him using his magic to destroy. Seeing, feeling him being so gentle and slowly ebbing your pain away... It made you sad knowing this side of him was never acknowledged. 

“The slice is higher than I thought.” Loki tells you, breaking the silence You meet his eyes, then look into the ceiling light.

“Do what you need to do.” you say with a lump in your throat. “Just make it stop hurting.”

It feels like fire, spreading over every single nerve ending in your body and setting them ablaze. The only thing bringing you any solace is Loki’s cool touch, but that won’t last forever. You wish sleep would take you, yet adrenaline pumps through your veins and makes you all too aware. 

Loki takes a breath in, and his irises flash golden and he casts his spell. Your shirt disappears entirely, leaving your torso bare.

Loki blinks. He stares, and you swear you see a red tinge in his cheeks. Your own are burning.

There’s a mirror hanging across from you, and you gasp when you see your reflection. The gash on your side is huge, running from just beside your breast and curving over your body so it ends beside your navel.

A sob escapes your mouth at the sight. You look so small, so broken.

Loki follows your line of vision, and with a flick of his wrist, the mirror falls from the wall.

“It’s alright.” he says, trying to soothing you. For the first time since you met him, it doesn’t work. You cry, every breath racking through your body and putting you in even more pain than before. “Shh.” he shushes you, but to no avail.

Normally, someone expressing themselves in this way would cause Loki to leave. He didn’t like seeing people this way, and preferred to give them the same treatment and privacy he himself would want.

But Loki doesn’t want that with you. The thought of leaving you in this state makes him feel nauseous. All Loki wants to do is gather you in his arms, hold you against his chest until the storm passes. He wants to whisper comforts and sweet nothings in your ear, pepper kisses over your body until you can’t remember what pain even feels like. 

It was uncharacteristic of him. But Loki couldn’t bring himself to care. He knew he needed to channel every bit of him into making you better. He wouldn’t forgive himself if you endured this for one moment longer.

“I’m going to fix it.” he tells you. Loki kisses your bare shoulder, quickly, so fast you almost don’t notice. “I have to ask you to calm down. I hate to.” he takes your hand, rubbing circles on the inside of your palm. “Just focus on me.”

You hand closes around Loki’s. Slowly, you get yourself under control. Loki is speaking, but you can’t make out the words. They sound familiar, but foreign. Did the Asgardians have their own language? Was Loki speaking his native tongue?

Somewhere in the back of your mind, you’re aware of Loki dressing your laceration. Your body feels numb now, exhausted and working hard to keep you alive. 

When Loki is finished, he pulls a blanket over you, tucking it under your body to make you as warm as possible. He takes your hand again, pressing it to his lips before leaning back in his chair.

Of his own accord, the god prepares for a long night.

Okay so I’ve not actually seen Thelma and Louise, I was just appreciating how fine Brad Pitt looked in that set lmao. Buuuuut if we’re talking a Malex AU of Thelma and Louise, yes Michael is 100% that Brad Pitt look.

Now bear with me for a moment, I’ve only read the wikipedia synopsis of the movie lol also I’m incapable of writing drabbles or ficlets so you’re just getting a long summary lmao.

Michael and Alex were best friends in high school but never hooked up. They meet back up for the ten year reunion and both are in unfulfilling relationships (miluca and forlex because I’m petty lmao) and decide to go on an impromptu road trip together.

While they’re out driving around, they bump into Jesse who spits a ton of vitriol towards Alex and Michael, calling them a ton of derogatory names, then just starts ripping into Alex. He raises a hand to strike Alex but Michael intervenes and they get into a brawl. Jesse pulls a gun and Alex wrestles the gun away from him and shoots him.

They leave his body there and escape to a motel together, have a very sensual moment of wiping blood off each other, bandaging Michael’s fists, one thing leads to another and the screen tastefully fades to black.

They become fugitives and just live a life on the road together. 

(of course if I wrote this, I’m sure it would end up being a lot darker lmfao I already wanted to say that they hooked up while still bloody)

How you met: You and Iwa meet online (kind of)! He’s a huge godzilla fan and spends a lot of his time searching for vintage merch/unique merchandise of his favorite nuclear-breath breathing monster. Your own love of painting serves you well because you create custom prints of different anime/film posters + paint clothing/accessories as well - Godzilla being no exception. You have a small online store and one day Iwa finds it and falls in love with u lmao with your art. He notices that you have a booth at the local creative fair and decides to go check out your shop. Definitely a bit nervous and shy because wow you’re beautiful but he ends up chatting you up + going home with a few posters and a hoodie. 

Your first date: Is it a date though? You and Iwa end connecting and talking more via text/messaging. He ends up commissioning a series of custom paintings from you because he absolutely loves how your art tastefully spruces up his apartment with something he loves. It ends up taking a while and you meet with him several times to go over different aspects of the painting/framing. At the last meet-up he asks if you would want to do this again...and at first you’re like “????” but then he clarifies he’s like “no, i meant go on a date with me not paint me a new piece.” It’s really chill - you were going to his place next week to help install/hang the painting anyways so that turns into hang the paintings + date night binging all godzilla related content. Very wholesome and you end up falling asleep on each other. 

Your first kiss: Iwa is not so secretly a hopeless romantic, so he wants your first kiss with him to be something special. He’s not going to stress over it, but he does want to kiss you when the moment is right. I feel like it might happen after a nice, little more formal date with him. The two of you met up and went to a fancy restaurant - you were a little dressed up, nothing too fancy but definitely a little more dressy that what you’d wear on a more casual day. He’s walking you home and it’s just a nice quiet dusk and it’s really calm as the two of you stroll down the street hand in hand. When he gets to your door he doesn’t want to leave so soon so the two of you kind of flirt/chat on your doorstep. Definitely one to ask “can I kiss you?” If you nod he’ll cup your cheek and look into your eyes before your lips meet in a soft kiss. 

Anniversary: Spends the weekend at the beach with you. You both take some time off work and manage to find an affordable cabin near the waterfront that’s a little farther away from all the super noisy tourist hotspots - it’s like your little piece of paradise, but still close enough that the two of you can visit the livelier areas of the town around the beach if you want. Lots of romantic walks down boardwalks, stargazing/hanging out on the beach at night with a few chilled cans of Dr. Pepper on a picnic blanket, singing together around a small fire while you play the guitar. Probably surprises you with a small gift - matching pendants/necklaces that you both always wear after that weekend. 

How they propose: Makes Oikawa, Makki and Mattsun come with him when he goes to buy a ring for you. He’s incredibly nervous and wants to make sure he choses a band that really matches your playful and loving spirit that he adores so much. Settles on a small handcrafted ring from a local jeweler made of several intertwining pieces of metal to mimic vines/branches + topped with a small jewel. His proposal was originally planned but ends up being completely impromptu because you end up accidentally stumbling across the ring box when you go refill on snacks during a movie night. He kinda panics a bit but then just decides screw it and gets down on one knee and asks you to marry him.

What your wedding looks like: Shittykawa isn’t invited JKJK Oikawa is his best man, and honestly does a bunch of the planning - he helps deal with the logistics side while you and your creative side take charge of the decorations, invitations and entertainment for the night. It’s a modest ceremony, neither of you want something over the top. During the reception, you surprise Iwa with a song that you wrote yourself, playing the guitar and singing for him (he’s totally crying). Your first dance with him is to a recording of the songs you sang with him during that annivesary trip to the beach. 

Newlywed/domestic hc: For your honeymoon you and Iwa decide to rent out the same cabin that you did all those years ago for your first anniversary. It’s nice to revisit the town/beach where the two of you have so many memories and look back on it with fondness. Unlike the first trip, the two of you have more time to just sit back and relax. You try to revisit some of your favorite local restaurants or places with funny/fond memories - like the part of the beach where you got stung by a jellyfish or the hole-in-the-wall restaurant with the best calamari the two of you have eated. Of course, you find a model of the fish that has a name similar to Tooru and you can’t help but take a selfie to send to (teast/bully) your husband’s best friend.

hey i hate the artemis fowl trailer so here’s my version, which is equally as cheesy but TASTEFULLY SO at least

[The opening scene is simply of gold. Raw, in bars, in coins, on jewelry, thrones, crowns.]

Voice over: Aurum Est Potestas. Gold is power.

[Shots of: the Fowl family mansion filled with extravagant guests; their jet flying in a sunset---- it banks, showing the family crest emblazoned on the side; a briefcase full of cash, opened and changing hands many times, each person wearing an outfit more elegant than the last, though faces are never shown.]

This has been my family’s motto since time out of mind.

[A camera pans along the hallway of family portraits.]

And for all of my life, it has been mine as well.

[The camera stops on the last picture; every member but Artemis is in shadow. His face is solemn.]

I never questioned it.

[Brief, disjointed images of a young(er lmao) Artemis watching his father shuffle through an endless stack of papers, being escorted by Butler, riding in an expensive car, being tailored for suits.]

I never had any reason to.

[The images continue. His mother pats his head with a bejeweled hand, light dancing off of the facets. His father shows him around an office building, gesturing carelessly, as every worker carefully avoids his gaze, a sea of frazzled workers parting around him. Butler walks behind him on a street, towering above everyone else, and steps between him and the camera.]

I never had any incentive.

[For a split second, the screen goes dark.]

After all.

[More images. Holly, silhouetted, with blue sparks crackling over her skin. A wave of armored elves surging towards the mansion. Mulch’s tombstone teeth flashing in a grin. Goblins throwing fireballs in their cells. Butler, in antique armor, swinging a mace at a troll’s legs. Artemis, tight-faced, in a room of monitors, eyes darting between the screens. and y’know of course there’s music going on in the background, starts off calm with like, just those little dingy chimes, speeds up and crescendos in appropriate moments, goes BWWAAAAAH at its most dramatic part, etc. this isn’t hard, i wrote this in like five minutes, can we not just have a good snippet of the plot an intro of the characters and a suitable amount of overly dramatic tension is that too much to ask mr. mouse sir
