So I got the Into the Pit audiobook last week (I forgot to cancel my audible subscription for like.... months and needed to burn my credits somewhere fun LOL). And I wouldn't call myself a fnaf lore expert lol. But it got me randomly thinking. If the ball pit in Jeff's Pizza could time travel because -mumblemumble- Agony and Remnant reasons or something -mumblemumble- then the ball pit in the Pizzaplex probably had the same kind of thing where it absorbed all that stuff over the years? Perhaps the two ball pits in your AU that exist at different times are one and the same?

I could definitely see Fazbear entertainment in Pizzeria Sim finding the original Fredbear's ball pit after like 30 years and going, "Yeah, we can give this thing to that new guy with the bear head. His pizzeria won't last a week anyway."

And when that pizzeria burns down and they build the Pizzaplex on top of it, some OTHER pizzaplex employees find that thing hidden away and say to themselves, "We can't waste this money-saving resource! Find a good place for the 40-50 year old disgusting unwashed ball pit in this Pizzaplex immediately!!!"

...And that kids, is one possible recipe for your very own time traveling ball pit....??

But also this is fnaf. Nothing really needs a recipe, I personally am a fan of answering lore questions with, ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ "uhh-uhh!"

sorry, I have a lot of thoughts lmao. I think that I find it really frustrating that deep down, despite assurances to the contrary, people DO think that Family must come before everything else and if you don't secretly Love Your Family above all else, then you must be defective or broken or hiding it. And I see it so much with this fandom. Like do I think Sirius loved Regulus? Yeah. Do I think he was closer to James and the people he chose to be his family rather than the people he was blood related to and there's nothing wrong with that, particularly when they were all massive bigots in canon? Also yeah. People act like Sirius Has to Love Regulus Because He is His Brother (and he can't be closer to James because blood!! they're blood related!!! you can choose to not be close to your parents but not your bruddah!!!! found families mean just as much as blood families except wait no they don't because if I had a strained relationship with my sister I would be sad. :( idk it's just weird and not enough people in here critically examine whether or not this insistence is harmful.

So a take on TOTK’s ending I’ve seen quite a bit of is the idea that it deprived all dramatic weight from Zelda’s sacrifice and that she should have suffered the consequences of her choice (I.e. stay a dragon forever or come back as a dragon human hybrid). Also said take accuses the ending of being cheap, lazy, unearned, and a deus ex machina. This strikes me as a shallow reading of the text and another example of how some people think punishment (or in this case “dying for a cause”) is the only viable ending for someone who made the choice Zelda made. It really rubs me the wrong way given all the development and tragedy she faced in both games. What are your thoughts?

The thing is that she is bound, whether she likes it or not, by destiny. The cycle of reincarnation of Ganon (Demise’s hatred) is NOT over at the end of Totk. Each time he resurrects, it is vital that a warrior with the soul of the hero, and a girl with the blood of the goddess appear to fight him. If Zelda stayed a dragon? Well then the world is doomed, because the goddess’s bloodline ends with her.

To me it’s not even a question of “throwing away her sacrifice” or having a “cheap happy ending”. It’s a matter of the fact that through whatever means it took, she had to turn back from a dragon for the world to have any hope of survival the next time ganon resurrects.

We don’t know if this specific hero and princess will see him again. Botw/Totk Link and Zelda may or may not have just had their last battle with him- we don’t know yet. Totk’s ending is left open to possibilities. Through what she says, we know Zelda will try her best to bring forever peace to hyrule, but we don’t know if she will face ganon again to achieve that, or if she will only be able to simply restore the kingdom, but not stop the cycle.

But no matter what, the next time that damn incarnation of hatred comes back, she or her descendent has to be there. The sword can do a lot, but the hero has always needed someone with the goddess’ power to seal the evil as well.

No matter how much we want a lasting sacrifice, the legend of Zelda is, at its heart, a cycle. A legend that repeats, over and over. And each piece of the cycle must live on, as least until demise’s curse is (hopefully eventually) broken. We have to have a surviving Zelda or the cycle is broken and evil wins.

(Also it does seem a little unnecessarily cruel to insist that the girl who has now been stuck fighting evil and exerting sacred power for a hundred through thousands of years TWICE have a terrible ending. She suffered enough- enough that a dragon shed tears. Let her get her well earned rest- the world needs her as a person. The ending is not unearned- on the contrary getting her life back is exactly what she earned. Don’t insist on a sad ending just for the sake of sadness. There is enough darkness, so why not enjoy the ending rather than enforcing suffering on someone who deserves a chance to live? There is already plenty of drama that can be watched anytime in the memories.)

I think all viewpoints are valid, and I can understand their point. While I do not know everything, I personally prefer to look at the lore- the actual roots of the story that lead to the endings. And the lore of Zelda is pretty clear- those goddess gals gotta live on.

And as far as the emotional part? I love the ending. I don’t like sappy stuff, and I’m not crying happy tears, but that ending is far more fulfilling than leaving the world (and Link) missing a really awesome person.

Anyways that’s my two cents worth :) It’s not a matter of what ending we wanted- she has to survive, or the next time ganon comes around, the world is doomed.

Thanks so much for asking first of all. I’ve been thinking about this a whole lot (even before I drew the first plushie here) and I think I’ve finally decided that at least for now, I won’t be taking submissions for plushie ratings. Without getting too serious, the main reason is that I’m afraid that it will stop feeling as fun as it does now. I also really enjoy how happy people seem to be when they see a surprise rating that they weren’t expecting, which would happen much less often if I was spending time drawing submissions, too. about the bpbc au stuff I have a few guesses. Stuff about the sentient bullet patterns I think is the Gaster Blasters. And maybe about cloning papyrus somehow?? With one of the first posts showing 2 of them, or maybe that big amalgamate esc gaster blaster thing is a shape shifter of some sort. Or Gaster is the weird blaster beast somehow. You were talking about Frisk wanting to save one last monster do, that probably ties into things. The birthday card might be an inciting incident to the blaster beast. I think in one of the drawings the blaster was behind papyrus? Another thing that may tie into the card, as it is a card from papyrus. Frisk knows about the blasters, so they might have done a aborted/full geno run in the past, or the bros might have told them about it.

You’re right about one thing (that I didn’t expect anyone to guess atp so kudos hehe) frisk’s first out of two runs was an aborted genocide run.

They actually lose themself quite a bit towards the end as chara fully takes over, which is why their nightmares involving,,,him are so vague and maybe even possibly warped a bit from actual reality.

(In this au the genocide run goes…differently)

Chara had a hand in aborting the run; they don’t like senseless violence to that degree. Also, they don’t talk to frisk that much anymore so there isn’t that much in the way for an explanation for frisk atm.

Yeah, he’s cool with it!! He’s just as supportive as he is in the show. He tags along for a lot of their shenanigans at recess, but he makes sure to give them space when it’s clear that Raj just wants to hang out with Bowie on his own.

Wayne and Raj play at each others’ houses like literally all the time, Wayne’s not going to get jealous or upset about Raj wanting to be with Bowie sometimes.
