grillby dad momence
have I mentioned?? why fuku is green in this au?? well that's because Grillby found her shortly after she popped into existence and he had to pump her with green magic for several hours (with the help of Gaster giving him his reserves) so she wouldn't dissipate. congratz! you came into being and caused your future dad to be The Most Terrified Creature In The Underground for several hours

Gojo and reader are expecting a baby and started to playfully fight on what the baby's name should be! Fluff please!
Baby Name
Tumblr media
Gojo x pregnant reader
Summary: Gojo comes up with names for your baby.
Words: 1k
"Toru, what are you doing there?" You asked as you felt your husband's head resting on your thighs and his forehead pressed against the bottom of your protruding belly.
You were lying on your back on the bed. You were letting your spine rest after a day of walking around with that little one in you.
Just like any baby in their mother's womb, your baby is calm if you do something. Then your body movements soothe the child inside you.
But when you want to rest, you feel it twist.
That's why you love the thought of having a husband for whom cuddling is very much needed in life because he likes touch.
More than once you have felt his fingers lightly squeeze your pregnant belly at night, rubbing your skin. Telling your child that everything is fine.
Then your child is calm, because it works like telekinesis, even if it's not there. Because the baby gives you rest for a while.
Instead of spinning around and making you constantly wander to the toilet.
You have decided to wait with the gender of your baby until birth.
As Satoru laughed when asked what his baby would be like, he replied that he didn't give spoilers.
However, it was getting closer and closer to the arrival of the 9th month.
You were already in the seventh.
You wish you already had a name for your child so that when he or she is born you will know how to speak.
You don't want to linger on the name for so long.
Probably Satoru too.
Because when he was lying on your thighs with his forehead on the bottom of your stomach, he was thinking about it.
"Satoru?"
"I think..." he muttered, looking at your belly as if he wanted to get an x-ray in his eyes and see the baby. Or he was looking for inspiration.
"You think what? Wouldn't you rather go to sleep?" You asked, feeling his head press closer against yours.
"How do we name the baby?" He said, placing his hand on your belly.
"Do you have any idea?"
You placed your hand on his. It was nice to feel his warm, big hands on your body.
Nice feeling. The warmth of his skin felt so nice.
"Mmmmm... Satoru junior..."
You laughed quietly.
"What if it's a girl?"
"Satori."
You laughed harder.
"Or (y/n) junior." He murmured, stroking your skin. "(y/n)ro."
You chuckled softly as you heard him trying to come up with a name for the baby.
It was cute and fun.
But you needed something else for your baby.
Something normal, but at the same time not the same as others. Not so common name.
Something rarer, but not such that everyone will wonder what that name is.
You just wanted your child, just like her/his daddy, to be special and one of a kind.
"Do you have any idea?" he asked, burying his nose into your skin. Making you laugh because of the tickling feeling.
"Why don't we pick something from the name lists?"
"How about Mochi?"
You looked at him with a raised eyebrow.
"Mochi?" you repeated.
"I love mochi! I love my baby even more! Boy Mochiro and girl Mochiko!"
You giggled as you heard his enthusiasm.
Mochiro and Mochiko? That sounds like normal names. But the fact that these names were based on one of the child's father's favorite sweets disqualifies these names.
If people knew that these names were created from the name "mochi", most would probably consider it abnormal.
But your husband just really likes sweets!
You were curious to see what else he would come up with.
That's why you've been waiting for more of his ideas.
"kikufuku?" He asked, resting the back of his head against your thighs as he stared at the ceiling.
"Baby's name?"
You weren't sure if he just got a kikufuku craving right now or if he was talking about baby names.
"You know... A name that starts with Kiku I Fuku. Together it's Kikufuku! Or Dango! No... Dango no. It sounds bad. Gojo Dango. Maybe Naruto? You know... Like those!"
"Naruto is an anime character." You laughed.
"I'll be a big fan of this anime if I name my child that... I don't want to... Well, how about... Pocky?"
"That sounds like a nickname."
"You're right..."
"It's a good thing you didn't propose to Wagashi."
"Can we eat?" He looked at you with a twinkle in his eye.
"It's night, Toru."
"Uggh... You gave me a taste for Wagashi..."
"Hold on until morning."
"I'll eat my little mochi!"
Suddenly, he playfully bit your thigh and belly, showing you what his mochi was.
"Don't eat me or our baby!"
"Name Dora or Yaki. Dorayaki!"
"Or something normal?" you asked nervously.
"Tako."
"Let me guess... Takoyaki?"
"Make me foody~... Baby..." he murmured, leaning up to meet your eyes.
"It's night. Satoru, I want to rest."
"Let's talk more about baby names!"
"Shall I name our baby by the name of the food?" You laughed and pulled up to push back on the bed.
He moved his head slightly to make room for your stomach.
Only now did you notice that he was lying on the bed with his legs sticking out of the mattress and his head was using your thighs as a pillow.
He smiled slightly and looked at you as you placed your hand on his forehead, stroking his soft hair with your fingers.
He stared at you with those beautiful eyes.
"Maybe Ao and Aka?"
"You want to call the children your Jujutsu techniques?"
"Better Ao and Aka than Murassaki. Hehe."
You slapped him lightly on the forehead for his laugh.
He closed his eyes with a toothy grin and reached his hand for yours, touching your skin as your fingers tangled in his hair.
"Don't do this to our children."
"Children? So you want more than one?"
He gave you that trademark smile that would be very irritating if you didn't love him.
Oh yes... If you want to be pregnant more times in your life... He'll do it for you. And he'll love to look at you and keep coming up with a name for your next baby.

Summary: You get a call from your nearly 16-year-old daughter at 2 a.m. asking for $2500.
Word Count: 1K
Tag List: @optimisticprime3 @dreamcastgirl99 (Sorry if I've forgotten or gotten someone's tag wrong)
A/N: I should've been working on an assignment instead of this....
“Hey mama, do you have $2500 you can send me?” You heard your 15-year-old daughter’s voice through the phone.
You leaned up in your and Katsuki’s bed, looking at the time. “Katsumi, it’s 2 am. What do you possibly need $2500 for?” Your head hot the pillow before you suddenly sat u straight. “Katsumi, where are you?”
“Um-” You heard your daughter’s voice go weak though you could still hear her smile over the phone. “An escape room?”
“The truth, Katsumi.” You warned, sitting up in your bed.
“... Prison?”
You sat up straight, your eyes open wide. “PRISON?!”
Your husband Katsuki sturred awake, mumbling some curses.
“You can’t tell daddy!” Katsumi’s voice strained. “My friends and I were just goofing around-”
“Can’t tell me what?” You heard Katsuki's grumbly voice say before you turned your head, seeing your very tired 42-year-old husband. He grabbed your phone as he sat up, pulling it to his ear. “What did you do and where are you?”
You heard your daughter's voice become quieter and you could imagine her doing the thing she’s done since she was 3 and got in trouble with your husband. Lower lip pouting, looking down with hands behind her back and kicking rockings with her feet.
“... My friends and I snuck out and we went to a party and the cops were called and apparently there were drugs-”
“Drugs?!” Katsuki’s voice boomed. “You’re doing drugs?!”
“Nononono!” Katsumi panickingly rushed out. “There happened to be drugs there! That’s why we got arrested-”
“ARRESTED?!” Katsuki was going to pop a blood vessel with how angry he was.
You heard your youngest daughter Fuku crying now from her room. You gave your husband a look, but all you saw was anger behind his eyes. He took a deep as he clutched onto your phone tightly.
“Where are you being held?” He asked through gritted teeth as he signalled to you to check on your 7-year-old daughter.
You groaned as you got out of bed to go check on your youngest.
Katsuki waited until you left the room before glaring at the phone as if Katsumi could see his glare. “You’ll be grounded for 2 months, your birthday party is cancelled and you’ll write your mother an apology letter.”
“What?! But that's so unfair!-”
“Do you want me to come pick you up or do you just want to walk straight home?” You snapped at his daughter.
“... Fine…”
The drive from the police station was long and awkward. Katsumi wondered if her father was driving the long way home just so the guilt would eat her alive. She looked up at Katsuki with her eyes, the same eyes that you had.
He was silently fuming.
She looked out of the sports car passenger window, looking at her reflection in the side mirror. Her eyeliner was smudged and her father’s wheat-blonde hair looked messy with your hair texture on her head.
“Where’s mama?” She asked.
“At home. Someone had to watch your sisters.” He answered coldly.
When he noticed he was getting close to the street they lived on, he parked on the side of the road close to the park he used to take Katsumi to.
She stared at the park, remembering when she first got her quirk at the said park when she was 4. How you held her so closely with a smile and spun her around while Katsuki just watched, realising Katsumi had his same quirk.
“Why did you go?” He asked her, trying to keep a level head.
“I just wanted to do something fun with my friends.”
“You’re 16 in 4 days!” He pointed out to her. “You shouldn’t have snuck out! What if something worse happened than just drugs happening?”
“Why would you care-”
“Because you are my daughter, Katsumi!” Katsuki tried to hold back a tempered response. You told him to be gentle. He was never really good at it. He tapped his finger on the steering wheel. “Is this about that boy at school?”
The lack of a response from Katsumi confirmed it Katsuki. He took a breath in trying to not get angry.
“I know you don’t like him-”
“Understatement of the year, Sumi.” Katsuki butted in.
“-but I really like him!” Katsumi had small tears in her eyes and her fists clenched.
Katsuki was silent, tapping his finger on the wheel.
“... Don’t change yourself for some boy, Katsumi.” Katsuki said to her. “If you’re going to date, don’t make it a life lesson for yourself.”
Katsumi turned her head away from her father, crossing her arms. “Whatever.”
Katsumi barged through the front door, avoiding making eye contact with you as she made her way to her bedroom, passing her sisters’ rooms along the way. She slammed the door shut and locked the door, leaving you and Katsuki alone with high tension lingering in the house.
“What did you say to her?” You asked him with a raised brow.
“I told her not to change for that stupid boyfriend.” You angrily answered as he made his way back to your two’s bedroom.
Once you closed the door did he take off his shoes and shirt before getting back into bed. You sat beside him and gently rubbed his old man's back.
“Was he at that party?” You asked Katsuki gently.
“I don’t fucking know-! Probably!” He groaned, burrowing his face into a pillow.
“... Maybe we need to have the talk with her-” You stopped yourself when you saw the nasty look Katsuki was giving you. “Don’t act like that, Katsu. I started having sex when I was around her age.”
“With who?” He glared, his possessiveness over you still strong as ever, even after 18 years of marriage.
You just rubbed his back. “Not important. You have to accept that she’s going to start dating, there isn’t much you can do about that.”
Katsuki sighed, getting comfortable in bed. “Let’s just go to sleep. It’s 3am.”
You leaned down and kissed Katsuki’s forehead. “I love you.”
“I love you more.”

Keeping up with the Todorokis or, just me observing the Todorokis in the various volumes: Volume 1
So this is nothing else but a collection of informations, volume by volume, about what the Todorokis do in the story or which info are revealed about them and so on.
PREMISE
WHAT ARE THE TODOROKIS DOING AT THE START OF THE STORY AND WHICH ARE THEIR AGES?
Todoroki Enji (轟 炎司): He’s working as a Pro Hero under the name Flame Hero: Endeavor (フレイム ヒーロー  エンデヴァー) as well as owning a Hero agency, Endeavor Agency (エンデヴァー 事務所 ‘Endeavor Jimusho’) and he’s considered the Number Two Hero of Japan. Born on 8th of August he is 44 in Chap 1 & 45 in Chap 5.
Todoroki Rei (轟 冷) née Himura Rei (氷叢 冷): Recovered at Fujitani Hospital (藤谷 病院 ‘Fujitani Byōin’). There are no info about her age. She might be around 3-4 years younger than Enji as the other parents are shown to have this or more age difference, but this is just speculation.
Todoroki Tōya (轟 燈矢): Assumed dead his whereabouts are unknown but he probably already went by the name of Dabi (荼毘 “Cremation”) and was training his Quirk and keeping his eyes on his family and, especially, on his father. As there are no criminal records on him, it’s possible he wasn’t a Villain yet and Dabi was just the name he used, not his Villain name. Born on 18th of January he is 22 in Chap 1 & 23 in Chap 5.
Todoroki Fuyumi (轟 冬美): She might have been already teaching in an Elementary School… or she might have started doing so from chap 5. Born on 6th of December she is 21 in Chap 1 & 22 in Chap 5.
Todoroki Natsuo (轟 夏雄): For chap 1 to 4 he’s in his last year of high school, from chap 5 he should have started his first year of university attempting to major in public health (医療福祉 ‘Iryō fukushi’ “Medical wellfare”). Born on 1st of July he is 17 in Chap 1 & 18 in Chap 5.
Todoroki Shōto (轟 焦凍): For chap 1 to 4 he’s in his last year at Corusan Middle School (凝山 中学校 Corusan Chūgakkō), from chap 5 he is in his first year at U.A. High School (雄英 高校 ‘U.A. Kōkō’). Born on 11th of January he is 14 in Chap 1 & 15 in Chap 5.
WHO ARE THE TODOROKIS STARRING IN THE VOLUME?
Todoroki Enji: Chap 1 (background), Chap 3 (exposition)
Todoroki Shōto: Chap 5 (he’s there but he’s not shown)*, Chap 6, 7
* In theory we should have seen him when the inside of the class was shown but, since Horikoshi hadn’t decided yet on which will be the seats of the characters and will therefore change them later on (and changes them even in this same chapter), Mineta is sitting on his seat.
WHICH ARE THE CHAPTERS IN THE VOLUME AND ARE THE TODOROKIS SHOWN IN THEM?
001. Midoriya Izuku: Origin (緑谷出久:オリジン Midoriya Izuku: ORIGIN) Enji (Picture)
002. Roaring Muscles (うなれ筋肉 Unare Kin'niku)
003. Entrance Exam (入試 Nyūshi) Enji (Fantasy)
004. Starting Line (スタートライン START LINE)
005. Smashing into Academia (はりさけろ入学 Harisakero Nyūgaku)
006. What I Can Do for Now (今 僕に出来ることを Ima Boku ni Dekiru Koto wo) Shōto
007. Costume Change? (服着よう? Fuku Kiyō?) Shōto
ALL THIS IN WHICH ANIME EPISODES IS TRANSPOSED?
001. Midoriya Izuku: Origin (緑谷出久:オリジン Midoriya Izuku: ORIGIN)
002. What It Takes to Be a Hero (ヒーローの条件 Hero no Jōken)
003. Roaring Muscles (うなれ筋肉 Unare Kinniku)
004. Start Line (スタートライン START LINE) Enji (Fantasy)
005. What I Can Do for Now (今 僕に出来ることを Ima Boku ni Dekiru Koto wo) Shōto
006. Rage, You Damn Nerd (猛れクソナード Takere Kuso NERD) Shōto
WHAT HAPPENS IN THE VOLUME?
ENTRANCE EXAM ARC (Chap 1-5): Chap 1 to 4 (and a bit of 5) cover the year that takes place prior to Midoriya entering in U.A. high school, chap 1 taking place the second week of April, when school year begins, then in chap 3 on February 26th there’s the entrance exam and, one week later, Midoriya receives the letter of admission. They’re kind of a prequel to the whole story which, mostly takes place in the following school year and, partly, in the one after it and focus mostly on Midoriya Izuku (Deku) and Yagi Toshinori (All Might), introducing Midoriya’s mother, Inko, and Midoriya’s childhood friend, Bakugō Katsuki. The Todorokis have no real place in this arc, beyond introducing Enji as the Hero Number Two.
In fact, in chap 1, in what’s supposedly the first day of his third year of middle school and, therefore, in the second week of April, while Midoriya is going to school, at 8:14, we can see an image of Endeavor on a giant screen, while he’s sitting on a chair and talking.
Tumblr media
Also due to the colouring his Hero costume appears different than the one he’ll wore later.
Tumblr media
This is clearly his prototype costume, which he shared in the "Ultra Archive" book, along with the prototype description
Tumblr media
We can't say if the scene we see is a commercial, a picture or something that’s happening in real time, just that he's seated and talking and there seem to be an image, possibly a video, behind him, but the fact that his image appears on a TV screen with his name being reported on it, tells us he’s a person important enough to end up on TV and the fact that superimposed to the image there’s what clearly looks like his Hero name also informs us he’s a Hero and how he’s called.
It’s a pity that the anime removed this bit, replacing the TV screen with a commercial, as it’s cool setting information for the story.
In fact in chap 3 we’ve Midoriya giving us further information about the worldbuilding, which lead us to learn the Flame Hero Endeavor (aka Todoroki Enji, though his name isn’t given yet) graduated at U.A. High and is the man who resolved more cases than anyone else in history.
‘Jiken kaiketsu-sū shijō saita! Nenshō-kei HERO “ENDEAVOR”’ 『事件解決数史上最多!燃焼系ヒーロー「エンデヴァー」!!』 “The highest number of cases solved in history! Combustion Hero ‘Endeavor’! !” [Chap 3]
Tumblr media Tumblr media
On a sidenote the fact that Endeavor is called 'Nenshō-kei HERO “ENDEAVOR”’ (燃焼系ヒーロー「エンデヴァー」 "Combustion hero ‘Endeavor’") instead than the usual 'FLAME HERO ENDEAVOR' (フレイムヒーロー エンデヴァー "Flame Hero Endeavor") seems to imply Horikoshi didn't decide yet on his full Hero name...
Also, although this time they were colored correctly (but the coloring for chap 3 was done much later), the chest area on his Hero costume is still the same as in the prototype.
QUIRK APPREHENSION TEST ARC (Chap 5-7): This arc focuses on the first day of Midoriya Izuku at U.A. High and to how his class, class A, meets their homeroom teacher, Aizawa Shōta and skips entrance ceremony and guidance session to immediately have a Quirk apprehension test.
Todoroki Shōto is in the same class as Midoriya so technically he takes active part to what’s going on in this arc but he’s barely shown through the three chapters, only managing to appear in the background for a grand total of three times (2 in chap 6, 1 in chap 7).
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Chap 5 goes so far as to avoids showing him when representing the inside of the class, also due to how Horikoshi isn’t showing the students in what will become their assigned seats, likely because he hadn’t decided on them yet (in Japan seats are usually assigned at the beginning of the year based on the students’ numbers), and we only see glimpses of him in the other two chapters. We know though he got second place in the test, ahead of Bakugō but behind Yaoyorozu Momo.
Tumblr media
BATTLE TRIAL ARC (Chap 7-11): Chap 7 contains the beginning of a new arc. It takes place the second day of school, shows the students of class A having English lessons in the morning, eating at the cafeteria and then informs us that, in the afternoon they’re supposed to have Hero basic training with All Might and, more specifically, they’ll have battle training and, in order to do it, they’ll wear their Hero costumes which were designed in accordance with the special request form they filled before being admitted. Once the students are done wearing their costumes, they're meant to join All Might on "Ground Beta" (運度所 β 'Undosho β').
By the way, the anime shows us the seating of everyone in the class.
Tumblr media
We can see Shōto is in the seat number 15, in the last row and, next to him there are Yaoyorozu Momo (seat number 20) and Satō Rikidō (seat number 10), while in front of him there's Tokoyami Fumikage (seat number 14).
MORE ABOUT THIS ARC IN THE NEXT VOLUME
HOW ARE THE TODOROKIS DRESSED?
Todoroki Enji is only shown in his Hero costume... though the one he's wearing is the prototype version.
Tumblr media
Todoroki Shōto should have been in his school uniform for some parts of chap5 to 7, though in them he’s never shown wearing it, and the same goes for how he should have worn his Hero costume in chap 7. The only glimpses we’ve of him show him in his gym suit.
Tumblr media
IS THERE MORE CONTENT ABOUT THE TODOROKIS?
Todoroki Enji is among the Pro Heroes depicted on the cover.

Bungou Stray Dogs, Chapter 106 Thoughts
Aya’s backstory is incredibly interesting, especially considering her connection to Kunikida. Kunikida is another character obsessed with perfection, both in himself and others.
Tumblr media
There’s even a running joke in the manga that Kunikida has the perfect woman he’s planning on marrying in the future written down in his journal. Kunikida’s determination to strive towards his ideals is his greatest strength, and his obsession with perfection his greatest downfall. His perfectionist tendencies hurt Kunikida the same way that Aya’s father comparing her to her perfect big sister and mother hurt Aya.
Tumblr media
Kunikida lives in pursuit of his ideals, and sometimes his efforts to save other people and act like the ideals written down in his journal succeeds. In Aya’s introductory story, Kunikida makes a heroic sacrifice when he can’t live up to his ideals and Save Aya and it works out for him. He manages to save her by putting his life on the line. However, in the next story that Kunikida is feature in, he ends up failing.
Tumblr media
When his ideal is broken, Kunikida is not able to keep on fighting with strength and determination. He completely breaks down in the face of the cruelty of the world. Watching a child die in front of him makes him want to give up everything. He doesn’t even want to keep trying, because it means he might fail again.
Ironically Dostoesvky kidnaps the same man Kunikida stopped during the train bombings in order to have him witness Kunikida’s idealism break. THe man tells Dostoevsky his pal won’t work, and Kunikida will save everyone that day without his spirit breaking just like he did that down... only to be proven wrong.
Tumblr media
Even when Kunikida gets the resolve to keep trying to save others after letting that child die, things only get worse for him from there. Kunikida only managed to save himself and Aya because his comrades were there that day and Akiko Yosana was there to heal bot him and Aya. Kunkida is separated from his comrades for the next narrative challenge, and when he has to fight alone he fails again to prove his ideals against  against Jono.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kunikida’s grand heroic sacrifice to try to prove the strength of his ideals to Jouno once again blows up in his face (quite literally) and he’s left even more helpless than he was before. When he ends up in a hospital bed without the use of his hands, Jono’s not impressed and his mind hasn’t changed, he’s actively mocking him.
The manga itself seems to criticize more than support Kunikida’s idealism, especially since it crosses into zealotry several times. Like, in all three of these scenarios Kunikida was quite literally willing to die and threw himself into a near death situation by jumping on an explosion and it didn’t work out for him. Kunikida’s pursuit of his ideals is literally self destructive. It’s throwing himself on the grenade to stop the explosion. It’s a running theme in the manga as well. Akiko suffers from it in her backstory, her powers that can save people from near death are abused until the people she abuses go insane and one man to commit suicide leaving a note “You are too ‘Correct.’”
Tumblr media
The same way her father abused Aya by comparing her to two dead people. The same way that Nathaniel Hawthorne is heroically sacrificing himself for the name of his love Margaret Mitchell only ends up with him being brainwashed. NIkolai wanted to die for the sake of his ideal of freedom, and then decided he wanted to kill Dostoevsky to see if his friendship with him was a result of his free will or not. The pursuit of a perfect ideal of love or justice is only destructive in the end. This theme was touched upon in Kunikida’s light novel story as well. Kunikida encounters the wife of an idealist like himself turned terrorist, who dies for the sake of an ideal just like her husband.
Which brings us back to Aya’s internal monologue, “There ain’t no way to be more perfect than dead people.” Aya is characterized as a normal person that people like Fukuchi would ignore beacuse they only see the world in the terms of their high and mighty ideals. Aya’s father ignores her own efforts to become good at martial arts and her ideals about justice because he’s too busy comparing her to the perfection of her older sister and mother. Kunikida is also a character who is ignoring who he does save because he can only look at the people he’s failed to save.
If the message of the manga is that “Perfection=Death” then the goal should be to try to live in a world that’s not perfect instead of aspiring for perfection. However, Kunikida is not doing that currently, he’s trying to throw himself on the grenade. Which is why the connection between Aya and Kunikida is so important because Aya they both share this incredibly unhealthy expectation to be “perfect” that only hurts them in the end.

As much as I love to make fun of Goeunji's abysmal emotional intelligence, I can't help but think that it's a product of how his father handled his mother's death and his sister's accident (i.e. ignoring his children and throwing himself into his work). Goeunji had no one to help him during the toughest times of his life — there's Fuku-san but I doubt she was much of an influence on an emotionally stunted, hurting child who probably just wanted his parents.
His father ignores him until it's about what he wants from Goeunji — for his son to be a doctor whether he wants to be one or not — and that affects the way he treats other people when they're going through mental problems (he either ignores them or physically/verbally demands the response he wants from the hurting person).
It's funny to joke about his Fire Tornado therapy, but it's also sad that it came from an awful parent.

Why is Ranpo aplogizing in this scene ?
Tumblr media
Okay, so your favorite Ranpo variant is here to explain a small scene in the season 4 of BSD (3rd ep & untold origins) because I saw a lot of people not understanding why Ranpo is apologizing to Fukuzawa in this scene !
As always : This is MY interpretation of what happened in the manga i'm not Asagiri so i'm just giving my opinion and i'm not here to impose it.
For me there are a few explanations of why he's apologizing but first, as someone who's learning japanese (so i'm not a professional) i'm gonna try to analyze/explain the exact way he said "sorry" :
In Japanese there are a loooot of way to say "sorry" here (animated version) Ranpo used : ごめんなさい (gomen nasai) it's a way of apologizing that is less polite than the basic すみません (sumimasen) but it's way more impacting than the contractions of it (gomen ne; gomen). So he's talking "unpolietly" (ig that it's bc of his young age) but it is still really meaningful as he could have used one of the contractions, which, for me, means that he respects Fukuzawa a lot (we can also notice this, thanks to the fact that he calls Fuku in the 1st ep of the s4 "Mr.Bodyguard" with the suffix "さん"(san) which proves respect (we translate it by Mr or Mrs most of the times))
1st part of my hypothesis : I think that he's apologizing first of all because he understood how much his behavior terrified Fuku. Not in a way like "Fuku is scared of Ranpo" no, it's not that. It's that Fuku cares ab Ranpo, a lot, more than he actually admits it at this moment; and knowing that Ranpo was in danger scared him (even if he knew that Ranpo actually did it on purpose, that's btw why he is yelling at him right after the slap, he wasn't rlly mad he was just scared). And when Ranpo understood that (after Fuku slapped & screamed at him) he decided to apologize to him for scaring him so much.
2nd part of my hypothesis : This second part goes a bit with the 1st one bc Ranpo apologized bc he understood that Fuku was scared and because at the same time he understands how important he is to Fuku. Like, if Fuku was scared it means he cares ab Ranpo right ? And as Ranpo never had (after his parents' death) someone that actually cared about him he apologized so Fukuzawa wouldn't be mad at him and would keep him (Ran) by his side.
3rd part of my hypothesis : Same, it goes with the previous one, because in addition of understanding how important he (Ran) is to Fuku, he also understood how Fukuzawa is important to him. Indeed, Fuku brought to Ranpo an healthy father figure, someone he could rely on (also especially because Fuku was one of the 1st ppl to actually believe in Ranpo abalities), which was what Ranpo actually needed. This gives to Ranpo another reason not to want to see Fukuzawa leaving him bc he (Fuku) would be mad at him.
In conclusion, we can say that Ranpo by apologizing wanted mostly to prove to Fuku that he was worthy to stay with him. Especially beceause Fukuzawa is a really important (emotionally) person for Ranpo.
I really hope you all got what i tried to explain, i really like to explain stuff especially ab BSD and Ranpo so if any of you have questions i'll be honored to answer it <3 ; Have a good day/night kiss kiss

I JUST FINISHED BANANA FISH AND IM IN DENIAL SO I WROTE THIS TO COPE!!!!!
!!banana fish spoilers!!
Eiji's sister doesn't have a name, so I refer to her as Fuku bc that's what the random name generator wanted.
idea: Ash survives and comes to see Eiji in Japan
It had been a little less than a month since Eiji had returned to Japan. His injuries had almost fully healed, and he was able to walk around and do things again. His poor mother had been horrified to see the state he was in when he arrived home. She cried so hard seeing him hurt in that wheelchair. He remembers thinking about how upset he was that Ash hadn't come, but he was sure that he would see him again while his mother thanked Ibe for taking care of him and his father yelled at Ibe for letting him get hurt.
About a week after he arrived home, he got a call from Ibe saying that Max had called him, and Ash was in the hospital after getting stabbed by Lao. Max had asked him not to tell Eiji yet, but he thought that he deserved to know what happened. Eiji wanted to go right back to America to check on Ash, but he didn't. He decided that he needed to stay here for a while before doing anymore travelling and he's confident that Ash would be ok, ash is strong. One of the strongest- no, the strongest person that he's ever met.
He was so worried about Ash, asking Ibe if he knew how he was doing every day. He remembers thinking that he shouldn't of came back until he was sure that Ash and everyone else was ok. He was so relieved when a few days ago Ibe told him that Ash had finally been released.
He was snapped from his thoughts when his mother called his name. He looked up from where he was staring at a page of his book.
"Sweetie, someone's here to see you."
"What?"
"I think it's a friend from America. He barely speaks Japanese, but he kept saying something in English and your name so I figured I would get you."
Eiji tried to think of who it could be. What if Ash had gotten into more trouble and someone had come after him again? now, that was extremely unlikely. But who could it be? Max is too busy with his engagement and planning his marriage. He had heard that Sing was working with Yut Lung now, so who?
"Thanks ma" He cautiously got up and walked to the door that was cracked open.
Upon opening the door, he was met with a familiar face, ash. Ash had come to see him.
He just stood there staring and Ash just stared back. Finally, he worked up the ability to say something.
"Ash..."
"Eiji..."
"Ash!"
"Eiji!"
Ash jumped onto Eiji, bringing him into a tight hug, Eiji hugged him back. They both pulled back a little, staring at each other, both of them crying happy tears. Ash moves one of his hands to Eiji's face, gently pulling him into a soft kiss. They both Smile as they pull away.
Eiji grabs his hand and pulls him inside the house, shutting the door behind them. As soon as he moves his hand from the knob its back around ash and they're hugging again. They stay like that for a while before Ash remembers that this isn't his home and pulls away.
"How are you? Are you ok? I heard that you were stabbed. You just got released a few days ago, right? Why are you here?"
"I'm fine now, I lost a lot of blood and ended up passing out from blood loss in the library but I'm ok now." Ash responds, gently taking Eiji's hands into his. "And I'm here because I missed you."
The nice moment only lasts for a short minute because Eiji suddenly turns around.
"Awwww, Eiji! Your so on-edge all the time since you came back! I can't sneak up on you anymore!" Fuku, Eiji's younger sister pouts.
"Heh, sorry Fu."
"who's that?" Fuku and Ash both say at the same time, pointing at each other.
"Ash," Eiji starts saying in English "This is Fuku, my younger sister." He turns to Face the girl better, "Fuku," he says in Japanese now, "This is Ash, my....Friend from America" he blushes a little when he decides not to tell her that they're dating.
"Hehe! I knew that that charm I gave you would work!!" Fuku laughs as Eiji jumps back a little.
"Ahh, that was intentional!?"
"What did she say?" Ash asked.
"r-remember that charm I told you about? She said that she knew it would work." The red on both of their faces intensifies and so does Fuku's laughter.
"Well, if it's that obvious, may as well just own it." Ash says, "You can introduce me as your boyfriend if you'd like."
"Sure."
And they all three smile.

ranpo and fukuzawa headcanons!!
Tumblr media
ranpo still lives with fukuzawa in the spare bedroom he moved into 13 years ago.
ranpo easily gets bored so he’s always eager to bug fukuzawa. when fukuzawa is especially insistent that he finish his work, ranpo mopes and lazes around (in front of fukuzawa just so he's aware of his boredom) until they can actually do smth together.
fukuzawa always held ranpo’s hand crossing the street when he was younger. he’s almost gotten himself killed many times. ranpo insists he doesn’t need his hand held in present day but his spatial awareness on the road hasn't improved. fukuzawa still holds his hand.
because of this, fukuzawa instinctively tries to hold the other agents’ hands when he crosses the road with them. sometimes he catches his mistake too late. ranpo’s influence on him is way too heavy.
well, he also held ranpo's hand in crowds so they wouldn't be separated. now well into ranpo's adult life, fukuzawa instinctively holds his hand out within a crowd in search of ranpo, who always takes the invitation.
ranpo normally picks off fukuzawa’s plate or straight up eats his food and feels bad about it later (see: the episode of wan where he eats his daifuku) so sometimes he sets snacks aside for him. fukuzawa doesn't want them, so ranpo ends up eating them anyway, but he appreciates the offer.
fukuzawa sometimes feels melancholic about ranpo being an adult, but is comforted when he thinks about how nothing really changed since he was a kid.
after fukuzawa woke up from the cannibalism ability, ranpo clung to him like a koala. for a long time. fuku just had to adapt to it.
speaking of koalas, ranpo always makes fukuzawa carry him. fukuzawa had to get good at carrying his adult weight, but it wasn’t really a problem for him. fukuzawa felt it was important in case ranpo needed to be moved in an emergency.
ranpo sometimes needs to be forced to eat vegetables. like a child, fukuzawa tells him he can’t leave the table until he finishes everything.
ranpo is nyctophobic (i got the idea from the onsen drama cd where ranpo said he can't sleep in complete darkness) so fukuzawa has had to comfort him in the dark many times.
ranpo gets paranoid in the dark because he feels vulnerable. he can't see his surroundings and therefore isn't in control like he likes to be. the only time he can be calm/sleep in the dark is if he can physically feel fukuzawa, bc he knows he'll be protected.
they do take naps together too. like on a tatami mat or something, where ranpo can sprawl out. tho more often it's fukuzawa watching over ranpo while he naps.
when ranpo gets sick, he's whiny asf and cries because he hates the pain (he's just like me fr). but fukuzawa is there to wipe his tears, urge him to stop crying, and press a cool cloth to his forehead.
that's when he gets clingier. like ranpo is already clingy with fukuzawa. he pulls on his sleeve for attention, he hooks onto his arm while they walk, he bonks his head against him like a cat when he feels so inclined.. that kind of thing
but it increases tenfold when he's sick. he'll curl into fukuzawa's side and refuse to let him leave even if it's for something he needs. luckily fukuzawa knows how to respond to it by now. he'll rub his back or stroke his hair and ranpo leans into the touch.
ranpo didn't like fukuchi because of his rowdiness, especially when he got drunk. whenever he visited, ranpo would hide behind/cling to fukuzawa and scowl at him. kind of like he wanted to claim fukuzawa's attention.
and this upset fukuzawa :( he knew he couldn't force ranpo to play nice, but he wished the two most important people in his life could get along. (ahem. and then chapter 103 is a whole other can of worms,,,)
of the different ways to refer to your father in japanese, ranpo calls him "papa" as opposed to "otou-san" because in japan it's considered casual and childish (which ranpo very much is)
ALSO ALSO this is a huge and very important headcanon of mine. they're both aroace :)) aroace father and son!! i imagine fukuzawa is totally disinterested in romance and wanted to prioritize raising his child. ranpo is the same, not really understanding what's so great about dating. (probably projecting bc i am aro, myself)
but this is something they came to learn about each other and bonded over. they don't need romance, cause they're the love of each other's lives. (i love using that term in a non-romantic context)
i just love them very much and reading untold origins inspired me. their canonical father/son relationship is the bestestest thing in the world so i cannot get enough of it. expect to hear more about them from me eventually :,)))

➠ Crown of Suns | Profile
Biological Information
Name: 宝船 華楓
Rōmanji: Housen Kaede
Meaning: Her last name stands for "treasure ship", while her first name means "maple".
Gender: Female
Age: 4 (in 1995 - first appearance)
14 (in 2005 - past timeline)
27 (in 2017 - future timeline)
Birthday: December 22nd, 1990
Height: 163 cm (5' 4")
Blood Type: +AB
Hair Color: Sandy Brown
Eye Color: Muddy Pink
Relatives: Hinode Katasuke (father) †
Housen Sumire (mother)
Housen Sayuri (younger sister)
Sakonji Misako (maternal aunt)
Sakonji Hayate (uncle)
Kaede Housen is a young girl who Takemichi accidentally ends up saving from being pushed against the train which was picking up speed. Later, he comes to know that she is one of Toman's honorary members, being the founders' childhood friend.
Appearance
Kaede is on the shorter side with sturdy muscles from taking Karate lessons. She is a late bloomer in terms of physique, often teasingly picked on by her female classmates for that. She had big pink-ish eyes and brown wavy hair that reaches the middle of her back.
Most times, she is seen wearing a standard school uniform that consists of a pale daffodils yellow blouse, blue and brown checkered skirt that matches her tie and black sneakers. When not in her uniform, that is on weekends, she resorts to stylish clothes but none that compromise her comfort. She is a big fan of jewelry but her heart-shaped earrings are rarely taken off.
Personality
Kaede is like a roller-coaster of neverending unpredictability. She is playful and loves pulling pranks, which are mostly harmless but at the same time, she can hold grudges like no other. One time, she mixed hair dye in Mikey's shampoo when sleeping over with Emma and he had to run around with neon green hair for a week until it wore off.
She is kind to those who prove they are worth no trouble. In that sense, she has a very prominent idea of what is good and bad. People are not able to tell at first glance but her perception is immaculate. She says it's just instincts but hardly anything happens in her presence without her knowing about it.
Kaede is extremely loyal, almost to a fault. Those she calls her friends will always be her top priority and in exchange they are stuck with her for life. It can also result in her picking longtime friends over new additions, like how she is slow in accepting Takemichi into their circle.
Kaede is impatient and often comes off as impulsive but when it comes to things that matter to her — such as scoring good in her tests to make her mother happy, making time for Toman rallies at night, hanging out with friends — she makes no compromises.
Abilities / Fighting Prowess
Kaede is a decently strong fighter and can easily take on fifty or so men. She focuses more on agility and speedy moves, knocking out the opponent before they can retaliate. She is a 4th Dan Black Belt in Karate.
Trivia
• Her image colour is Night Blue (#252850)
• She dislikes pushovers and people who only act nice with ulterior motives like her aunt and Kisaki.
• She likes strawberry cake, rainy days and bike rides through the Tokyo nightscape.
• She dislikes bitter food and strong scents. Isn't particularly fond of when Sayuri throws tantrums.
• A person she looks up to or respects is her mother.
• Her special skill is adapting to any art style at two or three glances and replicating it seamlessly.
• Kaede's dream is to become a manga artist and animator.
• Her heroic story (or failure story): She is yet unbeaten at chess, even going as far to get selected for Nationals.
• Her favorite spot is the amusement park.
• A daily activity of a certain day: Once Kaede's classmates had invited her over to go to the summer festival together but she declined. She instead went with her Toman friends, all of whom were decked in Tokkou-fuku due to having a fight later. Little did she know, all her classmates had seen her walking around with a menacing hoard of boys. The next day, everybody spoke to her with respect, fully believing she was either a daughter of a yakuza boss or in some reverse-harem situation. Needless to say, an explanation was much required.
• Kaede's relationship chart (past):
Mitsuya - Childhood best friend
Mikey and Baji - Learned Karate together.
Emma - Best friend
• Her bike is a Kawasaki ZX-7 that previously belonged to her uncle who helped her fix it.
Backstory
Kaede was actually friends with Mitsuya since kindergarten and their mothers remained in touch when their sisters were born in the same year, knowing they would also end up going to the same school when older. She and Mitsuya became quick friends, attached to the hip even. While he was the quiet type, she was the outgoing girl who was popular in all grades.
She met Baji and Mikey when her mother finally relented on signing her up for lessons at the Dojo, finding Mikey's chaotic nature and the two's endless bickering amusing. They caught her laughing at them once which led to an elaborate roughhousing — clothes being ripped, hair being pulled — before Grandpa Sano had to pry them apart and give the boys a lesson on discipline. Once they clamed down enough to talk like civilized humans, they found out they liked a lot of similar video games and T.V shows, chattering at hours on end even after practice ended.
Kaede became really attached to Emma when the girl arrived at the Sano household. The blonde girl was a timid little thing and upon first glance, Kaede decided she would be her friend. The two share a strong bond that never wavered through all of elementary school. Sleepovers became religious that Mikey's newly minted friends, in which she was elated to find Mitsuya, crashed.
Her middle school days were probably her peak years because after that, everything seemed to fall apart. Her friends were getting into more and more fights, this time involving guns and knives. When she received news of Draken's death, her head hurt so bad, she fainted in the middle of a busy road. After that, it was one after another with Baji and Emma. So many funerals became a common thing and by the time she reached high school, she was all alone after detaching herself from Toman which had merged with Tenjiku and truly ruled Tokyo, but at what cost? Daily committing the most unspeakable crimes?
All in all, she would lead a generic life in the first timeline, working in a makeup company and part time as an artist.

ermm:33 general opinion on YuuYuu (Yuuka/Yuuichi) plez \(^0^)/,,,
HELLO YUUYUU ARTIST!!!!! <3
I mean, to start, Yuuichi reminds me a lot of my partner. So there's an obvious strong bias in my opinion of him.
And 2. back when i first watched inago (i was maybe 15/16???) I have both a plush and crush on Yuuka and Yuuichi. Idk theyre just so pretty and i love their vibe, I WAS IN AWE
And theyre both so cool to me and they have a lot of similarities... so right off the bat, i'm telling you that i love them sm, i loved them for years, and that i would die for yuuyuu
To take this more seriously, I feel so much for their characters and where they stand in the narrative.
Everybody knows this but i will mention it... they were both made to be the motivation for two similar deuteroganists. They are the motivation, the anchor, and a literary device that reflects the foundation of those main characters. To exist as them automatically means that they are and will always be attached to another character in content importance and would rarely have the screentime alone if at all (yuuka is even abysmal in this respect).
In personality, i think these two are the same way as their purpose in the series.
Yuuka introduces herself as Yuuka in go. Without the surname. I understand the intent for that scene of course, she was actively avoiding calling herself a Gouenji since her brother's poorly kept secret will be known. But I imagine this is just how she introduces herself even before fifth sector.
She's not doing this because she's timid or anything related to teenage rebellion, Gouenji just have A LOT of weird fans that she would rather not call their attention. There are also some who just wanted to be close to her to get a chance to see Gouenji. She really genuinely thinks her brother is cool and still supporta him and loves him so much but his fans are just... so weird that it's sometimes hard to show her support of him in public. But she sometimes think her brother is living a bigger life purpose than her (she would not help him in go if she didnt think this and she may also be there to make sure he's taking care of himself).
Anyway, Shuuya is important to Yuuka because in her eyes, he (and Fuku) raised her. I think by the time her middle school graduation came by, she already realized this and asked Shuuya to be there for her instead (tired of hearing that their father is too busy for them) and Shuuya would have been emotional about this for days. That's how I think Yuuka herself put more importance in Shuuya for better or for worse.
In Yuuichi's case, I think he always talks about Kyousuke. Whether you initiated the talk about Kyousuke or not, he will be mentioned. He will come up. Yuuichi talks a lot about the shared dream he and his brother have and how amazing kyousuke is. Even without his alternate version in CS confirming this, I think Yuuichi believe that Kyousuke plays a greater role in the world than him.
There is something a bit inferior with how both Yuuka and Yuuichi see themselves compared with their brothers but because of the love and support that they get, I think they're dealing with this really well and are going to be fine.
But just with that, i can already say that these two have an incredible potential to have the deepest understanding of each other. They would know each other in a level that no other person could. If there was at least one canon content of them i would have been obsessed with this ship.
Yuuyuu is a crackship that has too many connections to be considered as one
Technically yuuyuu is a crackship because they dont have a single interaction and have not been in the same frame before. But is it really??
Funny thing about yuuyuu is that their roads are meant to cross even if you follow canon. Just the relevance of being both needing a physical therapist for years as a minor (yuuka would need go visit the PT even after she fully recovers at least annually for a few years for check ups and drills) in the same hospital alone is enough to make these two at least have a physical familiarity to each other. Yuuka also would have visited katsuya at least once for something or waited for him around the hospital. And these are all outside canon alone.
They could even meet in the duration of the last parts of inago too when yuuka often called kyousuke over. Or even dueing or in between cs and galaxy. My point is that these two live in a really small world that it's impossible for them to not meet. Even all the canon information they both have would agree that they know each other even if it's just from their faces.
They have the same hobbies and interests and they both love Gouenji Shuuya
Yuuka would appreciate to meet a non-weird gouenji fan once or someone who genuinely wants to be friends with her that's not because of her brother (she does have friends like these tho ofc, but she appreciates having more). I know yuuichi would be the first fan who doesnt talk about gouenji like he's some badass lord of fire.
Aside this fact (this is hc territory), I'm a strong believer that both yuuka and yuuichi are really interested in humanities, social affairs and politics. You can't be disabled and not be humanitarian. It comes with how shitty the state and some people treats you, i think their interests align just so sooo well. (Adding also my hyperverbal autistic yuuka headcanon here too)

Faster than a speeding train, things that ran through my head while watching this episode:
--This episode was full of fanservice, pure and simple. But meta service? Well, that was a tease.
--Like that close-up on the evening newspaper? There was a big headline that warned people in the mountains to be careful of bear attacks, but the dates were just blurry enough that I couldn't make them out. Dang it, Ufotable!
--But as for that close-up on the missing persons posters at the beginning, if you're looking for names to use for people who already disappeared on the Mugen Ressha, there's a 20-year-old Yamazaki Chiyoko, a 12-year-old girl named Setsuko, somebody with the last name Okuda… not that I believe the mystery woman who got left for dead but left uneaten was among these people, she's only been missing one night and is already expected to make a full recovery with no scars. Including not a single scar on her heart, and she'll have the ongoing protection of the Corp! What a princess! And just… an satisfactory plot device. After all the emphasis on how demons are horrid and leave irreparable damage on those whom they effect, her experience and Rengoku's assurances that she'll be totally fine sort of cheapen this.
--To that effect, Rengoku-san made a better point later in the episode, after Fuku apologizes for assuming demons don't exist. It's better proof of the Corp's hard work if people can go on thinking that, never having been affected in the first place!
--For as morally outstanding as Rengoku is, honesty doesn't appear to be an important virtue. Or at least, dude has no idea how to make a convincing lie. "I'm a bentou seller." Yes. Sure you are, Rengoku-san. I'll bet that after Speedy's attack at the garage, the workers are later going to look to each other once everything calms down, and somebody's going to say, "you know, I don't think that guy was sent here by the railway HQ."
--And Speedy, as a villain, just… ugh. I'm glad Rengoku-san made short work of him and just shut him up.
--I just… I need to sigh again for all the hype I felt for this episode, only to find the writing so… siiiigh….
--Like, I respect that they had constraints in how much they could affect or reframe the plot which comes thereafter, so they chose instead to dig (too deeply) into the lore behind "umai" just as a way of providing fanservice because everyone loves Rengoku-san. And we do!! We love the unnecessary cape flip! We love that he defeats demons with ease! And I certainly love that he has a heartwarming moment hearing that Fuku's mother and grandmother were saved by Shinjuro and that he is emulating his father, and how he wants to tell his father this good news that the people he saved all those years ago are still well, thanks to him. He wants to see if good news like that will do anything to reassure his father of the worthiness of his efforts. I love this quietly sensitive side of Rengoku-san, who is just as prepared to not have such news have any positive effect and will just make his father lash out.
--But……. I don't think they actually did Rengoku-san's character any favors with all this emphasis on how much he loves and respects food. "Don't drop your anpan" is so… not an important thing to focus on in this situation, and taking a bit bite out of food that's not his, well… it's cute and funny, but I feel like it would had been more in keeping with his character for him to catch the anpan and give it back and go on asking questions about his mission. And then showing more disgust for the demon when Speedy steps on the bentou instead of, like, when Speedy's got his nails digging into the boy's flesh, is kinda… kinda not showing Rengoku-san's strength in accessing a situation and zeroing in on what needs to be taken care of. But, sigh, if they had to use the bentou as a plot device, I guess this was a clumsy way to do it.
--Siiiiigh.
--Man, they had me so hyped with all that emphasis on atmospheric settings, the Corp members rushing toward the train (and supposedly about to meet their deaths, as we know there's already been victims before Rengoku arrived), and a Corp member who we'd never see again after this… but again, Ufotable only felt enough flexibility to do fanservice, not stakes.
--And just… the whole…….. running faster than a speeding train……….. okay, I'll let this one slide, Pillars DO run fast, Rengoku-san HAS moved this fast in canon.
--If Enmu brought Speedy there as a decoy, I wonder how he did it? "Hey, I need to attract the Demon Slayers' attention for a few days. Be slow and coy with it, leave them presents on your trail." "Why in the world would I do that??" "If you do a good job, I'll tell your idol Upper Moon 3 how cool you are." "IT'S A DEAL!!!!!"
--Leaving all my disappointments aside, there are things I find endearing in this pure and simple fanservice filler. I find Fuku-chan and her granny sweet, and I like that Granny reacted to the sight of Rengoku right away, and acted believably for someone who has had a run-in with demons in the past. Ufotable is totally committed to this bentou lore being part of the plot too, what with making merch and gallery displays themed around the bentou vendors. It was indeed fun at the last Toei Movie Studio event to go on a make-believe set of this shop, complete with all the signs and items on sale. :D
Tumblr media Tumblr media
--And that boy in the blue haori, and the girl who takes the lead once the team of back-up arrives? How can I not like them? (And knowing me, how can I not feel tempted to want to write fanfic about them?)
--Ufotable showing off their soba animation skills is funny, and impressive. I wound up picking up a sweet potato bread for breakfast this morning to be on-theme for a Rengoku episode, but I regretted later that I didn't get anpan and pick up soba for lunch.
--But also… yes, I am a victim of fanservice. Rengoku-san is unnecessarily cool.
--But like
--HIS NICHIRIN-TO
--OH LORDY
--UFOTABLE, THERE ARE CHILDREN WATCHING THIS

biggest spamton poly ship i can think of that i’ve been thinking of for a while now: Spamton x Swatch x Jevil x Seam x Tasque Manager x Rouxls x Queen x Sans x Toriel x Grillby x Asgore x Rudy
because that would be the funniest thing ever, especially from kris’ perspective. imagine you wake up and find out not only is sans deltarune your step-father, but also the trash man you picked up out of the trash three days ago. you now have atleast two tumblr sexymen and two tumblr sexywomen as your step-parents, noelle, lancer, and fuku are now your step-siblings, and atleast four of your twelve parents (plus two step-siblings) have been personally affected by the weirdo who handed you an egg a week ago. how do you react to that. how do you explain that to asriel when he gets home.
How do you explain that to the addisons??

Ranpo Edogawa Agere Headcanons!
Ranpo typically regresses to 4-7, but he’ll rarely regress to 2-3, mainly when he’s been stressed or upset over something.
He’s been regressing since he was younger, around when he’d first joined the agency. At the time he didn’t have a word for what he experienced, but Fukuzawa would look after him and keep him out of trouble.
He’s confident with his regression, and isn’t anxious about mentioning it around new people, or acting childish in public.
He loves playing pretend! He’ll go all out with making props and costumes and perform plays for the Agency! Most of his stories are dramatic retellings of his adventures as World’s Best Detective, in which he stars as the main character and hero.
He loves playing with Atsushi, and usually casts him as his assistant in his stories! Atsushi often buys him toys and sweets.
He sees Yosano as a big sister, and looks up to her. Yosano finds it adorable to have a small sidekick following her around, and always has his best interest in mind. She can get rather protective at times.
Dazai is always in the audience of Ranpo’s performances, he adores them and always gives Ranpo encouragement and advice on how to make his stories even better! He’s usually the one that helps Ranpo create costumes and props for his shows, and always has the best ideas! Tanizaki never minds looking after him, even if he is a bit anxious when it comes to kids, since he worries he’ll do something wrong. He always carries sweets on him just for Ranpo, and participates in his games.
Naomi reads him stories, she gives the characters different voices and always manages to make him laugh! She also makes the best angel milk out of anyone in the agency. She’s usually in charge of getting him to sleep, but she plays games with him as well.
Kunikida is a busybody, and is nearly always working on something, but he does his best to work in time in his schedules for Ranpo’s shows and other things. Whenever Ranpo wants his attention randomly and it’s not pre-planned, Kunikida will let him color next to his desk while he works.
Fukuzawa is who Ranpo sees as a father figure! He hangs around him constantly, and often tries to mimic what he does since he looks up to him. He loves to stay in Fuku’s office and color, play with toys, etc! He has a HUGE collection of toys, stuffed animals, games, and sweets. The agency members are almost constantly buying him new things to add to it.
Ranpo loves getting up and moving when playing. Jumping, running, skipping, chasing, he’s very energetic and almost always doing something new to hold his attention! But when he’s regressed younger, he usually goes nonverbal, and is much sleepier, so he likes to watch cartoons! The Agency members always let him win when they play board games.
He invites Poe over for playdates often! Whether Poe is another regressor or an adult playmate, is your interpretation. Poe has begun writing children’s stories for Ranpo, and helps him come up with his own stories too! They love to get creative together.
Mushitaro doesn’t look after him much when he’s regressed, but he does get roped into his shenanigans whenever Ranpo comes over to Poe’s mansion for their playdates. He’s like a stressed mom when Ranpo is around, he’s constantly fawning over him and cleaning after him as well.

Touken Ranbu:  The Contradictory Tale of Genji
Part 2/3 - Cast:
(I’m going by romanization in the program, which might differ from their Takarazuka days)
Here is the list of actors and their program introduction.  There’s more to the Genji Monogatari cast that will be elaborated on in the spoiler section.
OG = Takarazuka OG, specifically otokoyaku TR = Touken Ranbu character GM = Tale of Genji character
Tumblr media
Holy Takarazuka OG Batman!!  What a star-studded cast! For me at least.  I was drooling over this casting. All the named male roles were performed by otokoyaku retired from Takarazuka.  It’s good to see the craft continue outside the big revue companies.  This is in no small part thanks to Nanami Hiroki who actively continued otokoyaku work outside Takarazuka.  There are the likes of Amami Yuuki and Sagiri Sena who have performed genderbent roles in their OG career on occasion.  However, that was an exception in a true to gender cast.  This is the first big production I’ve seen with all female casting outside Takarazuka.  It worked incredibly well since the actors involved specialize in stuff like that.  Also, with Takarazuka otokoyaku garnering a reputation of portraying idealized men, it made sense that they would portray fictionally idealized men about a novel lead by the perfect romantic hero.  Overall, very impressed by the acting talent.  I did enter the lottery three times to see this cast live lol.
Of the OGs on stage, I’m most familiar with Nanami Hiroki, Ayanagi Sho, and Seto Kazuya.  They happen to play the major characters.  The lead role is Nanami Hiroki as Kasen Kanesada closely followed by Ayanagi Sho as Okurika.  These two swords are basically foils of each other.  Kasen Kanesada is the cultured sword named after the Thirty-six Immortals of Poetry (or the 36 retainers his master killed, depending on your interpretation).  He’s the level-headed leader and refined poetry master, making him ideal for being trapped in a literary work.  Okurikara is the brash brawler sword.  He belonged to the son of Date Masamune and if son resembles father at all, that explains the thirst for battle.  Also, a lot of his design refers to a fierce Buddhist deity who removes obstacles so makes sense he tries to brute force his way out of a problem.  As these two were possessed by Genji, they had the heaviest roles having to play two characters with one having to match Seto Kazuya’s acting.  Both Kai and Ayaka did great and captured their respective characters.  I barely recognized Sho and it wasn’t just the brown-face, she did something a bit different with her makeup.  Akira is perfect for Genji.  She is a versatile actor who can handle both drama and comedy.  Here she wholeheartedly embodies the tragic hero and bitter villain (book protagonist but show antagonist, an interesting twist).  She did such a good job I didn’t even recognize her as the nameless creeper fan until I checked the program.  She played dweeby, shy nerd for that brief scene so convincingly, I thought it was a different actor.
The rest of the touken danshi serve as fanservice and comic relief.  It’s a bunch of OGs playing Ichimonji swords, mostly relatively new collectables in the game.  All anyone needs to know are the silver color characters are Uesugi swords who are there to be the cool, silent types.  The blond boys have a bit more lines.  Aya Oka as Ichimonji Norimune, expensive old man sword, will act suave and pretty in between scenes.  Nansen Ichimonji by Shiotsuki Syu is the comic relief.  Legend is the sword split a cat in two and was then cursed by the dead cat, hence all the cat mannerisms and frustrated meowing.  So Fuku here has to act the cat and also act the young, explosive lad.  She does the most audience-insert snarky commentary and slapstick of the side characters.  She wasn’t too distracting or detracted from the story.  In fact, she was genuinely funny and earned a lot of intentional chuckles and laughs from the crowd.
The musumeyaku, as we will call them here, I am not as familiar with as they are mostly idols and actresses from the part of Japanese pop culture I do not follow as closely.  Everyone did a good job and were absolutely beautiful in their juunihito kimono.  Now this is a Touken Ranbu show so naturally the Tale of Genji cast are secondary characters.  However, each of the Genji cast was tasked with a double role that was important in carrying the theme.  Including Akira, they each played a “real” person from the Heian era and a book character.
Half of the musumeyaku cast are basically random court ladies that, as a group, represent friends and fans of Murasaki Shikibu.  However, they have more to do in the Tale of Genji isekai as Aoi no Ue, Utsusemi, and Suetsumuhana.  What is important to note is their brief lines in the book club flashback when they discuss their favorite characters with the Empress.  The discussion extends to the solace and inspiration they find from the text.  Ironically, they all turn into their favorite characters when sucked into the book so perhaps that is why they so easily went with the flow.  Aoi no Ue’s realworld counterpart is presumably going through a rocky marriage or having trouble conceiving so sympathizes with the character.  Utsusemi finds inspiration in her character’s strong sense of morality and self-respect.  Suetsumuhana is actually a bimbo enjoying the story?  Well, she is basically comic relief on the girl’s side.  In the book, she’s known for that little red nose and the fact that she’s broke and dull because her family fell on hard times so lacks an education.  She even gets a clown mask with a giant nose to represent her morning-after cold for a bit of levity.
The other ladies carry are more relevant to the theme.  We learn in Act 2 that Lady Rokujo (Genji’s MILF poetry teacher turned mistress), is actually the Empress in real life.  She is having marital and thus political troubles with the Emperor and feels trapped so gravitates towards Lady Rokujo for catharsis.  After all, Lady Rokujo of book fame goes wild and outright haunts her enemies by sheer will.  In reverse, we have Lady Koshosho, Murasaki’s best friend and a humble court lady, reincarnate as the villain empress in the book.  At the center of it all, we learn that the author Murasaki Shikibu has taken the role as unobtainable true love Consort Fujitsubo.  These three women are more prominent in the real world timeline.  The Empress voicing one opinion about fiction as head of book club, Lady Koshosho being avid book promoter and introductory character who links scenes, and Murasaki being the godly author of the book.  Minamoto Maho as both Murasaki Shikibu and Consort Fujitsubo is fitting as the lofty author is as grand a figure in her fictional universe as the idolized woman Fujitsubo.  Genji has a complicated love-hate relationship with her that blurs the line between character and creator.  Not much to say about her as Fujitsubo since she just has to stand there and be pretty while Genji angsts in the foreground.  However, she really shines as the author.  Murasaki Shikibu within the play raises some interesting points regarding storytelling and fiction as we observe her life and the people impacted by her story and finding a place in history.  A lot of Japanese portrayal of women, even with women protagonists, write them rather passively.  In the case of this show, we see internal conflict and agency from Murasaki as she strives to finish her novel against criticism and backlash.  Also, I would be remiss to not discuss young Murasaki, played by a set of child actresses.  The one in my showing was very professional in her line delivery and performed well.  Of course, she was super cute.
Even extras were noteworthy people with previous works in major franchises, some were household names by Japanese standards.  We had voice actor from a Final Fantasy mobile game, guy in BLEACH musical, and boy band member.
Overall, all the actors brought their talent to the table so I have no complaints!
