A Vmin throwback - 2019 (Part 1)

3 years I have been making this post now, and every year people keep saying Vmin is dead, less close or even fake. I usually say: Do you have eyes?

Vmin surely proved you wrong this time and I think at this point their bond is hard to deny. This post has been really difficult to make, both because of the amount of moments and also because it’s more difficult to find good gifs for everything and I can’t include twitter videos in this type of post. Just know there was a lot of moments I had to skip.

2019 was the year of the pig, aka. the year of everyone born 1995. So in this year of Vmin of course they have given us plenty of moments to gush about. In fact despite the break we have gotten spoiled with a lot of really great Vmin moments. So without much further ado let’s get this started!

There is a lot more Vmin under the cut. You have been warned.

I will cheat a little and start with Taehyung’s birthday bomb, which wasn’t released until 2019. Vmin were very cute in it.

The first time I saw this I couldn’t believe it. Who looks at someone like that while they are feeding them?

The year started of with a lot of good Vmin selcas, but even though we might not have gotten many tweets in total what we did get was still great!

And don’t you all dare forget that Jimin posted this the day after Valentines!

Then admittedly we had nothing in terms of selcas for almost the rest of the year, but thankfully Jimin came through and tweeted for Taehyung’s birthday.

Something big they did this year was of course making songs! Jimin released Promise right at the end of 2018 and Tae (the best photographer) provided the cover photos.

One month later Tae released Scenery. But not without Jimin accidentally spoiling it first.

He was very apologetic about it.

They both supported each other a lot and gave us a lot of cute moments in relations to their songs.

Jimin even sang Scenery and basically just promoted and loved it a lot. But even that was nothing compared to what was to come... I am talking about Winter Bear of course, which Jimin loves so much and has promoted more than anything ever before.

He did three vlives in a row where he gushed about the song and promoted it, and even told us stories about him and Taehyung.

He also mentioned how he wanted to keep the song and his friend (Taehyung) to himself. The name of the first Vlive was even Say hello to me, a line from the song. Basically Jimin is both supportive and possessive in regards to Taehyung.

He sang it constantly and told us he listened to it every night falling asleep to it and even dreaming about it.

True love and support right there! He also gifted Tae the two bears he used on the cover.

Movin on let’s look at the Run episodes of this year, because as usual they provided us with tons of Vmin moments.

It’s actually kind of overwhelming so I had to skip a lot because right off the bat they just...

First Run episode of the year and we already were in for a great start! And who knew we would get to see Vmin hold hands for minutes? I mean, Vmin seems to just have glued their hands together this year.

Stick to my side might as well be the Vmin slogan of the year. :P

And Run just kept on giving…

Tae wants Jimin to be sexy. But not too sexy….

Of course they also took selcas we will never get to see…

And some we did get to see…

The Canada episodes truly blessed us.

We even got to see Vmin share a bed for the first (but not the last) time, even if I don’t have a pic included.

They don’t even have to be on the same team...

Or even win… They still somehow congratulate each other.

Wo do love Vmin on the same team though.

They have both just seemed really happy and carefree this year!

I don’t even know how many times Jimin has said I love you to Taehyung this year… But it’s a lot.

Actually we have seen Jimin trust Tae a little too much.

But let’s move on, because we have much more to go through. This year we actually got some really good vlive moment from Vmin (besides the ones for Winter Bear I mean.). It started with the Grammy vlive.

We had Vmin doing, something… In the Hobi birthday Vlive.

And not soon after we got the infamous Rkive Vlive. Showing us some of the weirdest Vmin behaviours yet.

The clinginess is a lot… I see why they might avoid Vlives alone, because they can’t even behave when they are with someone.

I already mentioned the Winter Bear vlives.

The year also ended well with some nice Vmin from Jin’s Bday Vlive.

We of course also had a comeback with Boy with Luv that Taehyung made sure to add some Vmin to right away.

And Vmin really made sure to make this their song. Love is nothing stronger...

We also can’t forget the Lights MV.

And then for the tour. Obviously we got a ton of Vmin moments.

Special shoutout to Hong Kong.

I mean tours are always good, but the amounts of hugs and happy Vmin.

Tae holding Jimin’s hand to comfort him in Brazil when Jimin was sick and couldn’t sing well.

We also got Tae comforting Jimin in London.

And with this sweet moment, that I was lucky enough to see live, let’s end this post. It’s too long anyways, and will likely crash for many of you. As you may know I started this post in late 2019 but had so much trouble making it as Tumblr didn’t want to save my changes. I tried to remake it several times and at some point just gave up.

Then, I realized that the post is too long anyway and I might as well just post what I had if it managed to save the end part. Meaning this text here. So basically all of this post except this ending part was written and put together years ago. I know it says part 1, but I am not sure there will be a part 2 considering the problem with long posts. Just know 2019 was a great year for Vmin (as every year is), and that I didn’t even get to include everything (note the absence of Bon Voyage for example). But finally it is done! I am so glad it saved this part and the tags. T_T

Hi, I know you’re a fan of namjoon so I wanted to ask your thoughts on this ring thing? I’m kinda new and assumed all these namjoon is married with kids stuff were a joke. But some people seem to totally believe that. I mean where he’d get the time to see a partner and kids is beyond me but who knows? Anyways I was looking at some of their recent pics and he doesn’t wear it all the time - which if it was a couples ring - wouldn’t he? I thought maybe he would only wear it if they were appearing on Run or Korean shows, but he didn’t have it on for either of the new shows they’ve been on recently, as they may not have been as widely watched. I mean I guess it’s none of our business - but I’m trying to rip of my delulu hat for making me think Seokjin gave it to him 🙈

Hi anon, I hope you don’t mind that I’ll combine my answer for you with my answer to another ask since I feel like they fall into the same kind of category, as in people taking things too far and/or blowing things out of proportion. And, coincidentally, both have something to do with rings.

I’ll start with your question though and give you another example that followed a very similar trajectory as the omg namjoon is married with kids because ring narrative/theory. Some months ago, Namjoon posted a few pictures on twitter and among them was a picture of him with another guy wearing a green sweater. His face though was covered. At first ARMY didn’t think much of it, but then, eventually, someone started a joke that “remember that sweater Joon wore for BV4? The guy is wearing the same one, what if that's his boyfriend?” and it went viral.

It started out completely harmless with hundreds of positive and funny tweets made in good humor, no one taking it that seriously knowing that we’d never find out even if it were true. But, as the jokes started to simmer down, everyone had their laugh, the next wave came in and this one decided that this isn’t a joke at all but serious matter. Quickly this harmless fun turned into a witch hunt of “ARMY” trying to figure out who the guy might be, if he is Namjoon’s mysterious friend that once sent him a coffee truck with custom drawn designs on it, perhaps the same one with whom Namjoon already once posted a picture sitting on this garden porch swing type thing, some even trying to prove that the guy is either Seokjin (in which case, what would be the need to cover his face?) or Florist Isaac whom they met during that one RUN episode.

So, very quickly a few idiots turned harmless fun into something almost malicious and got into fights with ARMY who were trying to tell them to stop.

The ring thing followed a similar story. It was once a harmless joke based on the fact that Namjoon wants to have kids one day, so some made jokes about what if he’s already married but we just didn’t know etc. But very quickly that got out of hand as well, going as far as people claiming the little girl in his pictures which he posted around his birthday or something is his daughter (even though it was said it’s probably the child actress from BTS WORLD) and that him making jokes (during a BangtanB while trying on glasses before their MOTS7 press con) about his child being able to read/write hangul at a very young age wasn’t jokes at all but solid proof of the fact that he is married with a child (despite the fact that he would’ve had to have gotten married and his wife pregnant not long after their debut for the timeline to even work out somehow which makes it seem even more ridiculous). This even went as far as people spamming the comments during this vlives with questions about it, flooded his selcas on twitter with questions and “jokes” and, again, attacked anyone who told them to stop.

In all of this, watching it happen from the sidelines as someone whose bias is Namjoon, I was confused why these particular rings (which I don’t even think were the same ones each time) caused such a reaction. The members have all worn so many different rings over the years, on all fingers, sometimes even like eight at the same time, and yet it wasn’t until 2020 and their KBS interview after their first BBH100 #1 that things went bonkers. All because Namjoon decided to take the ring off before they started filming or something.

In all of this I see two things that make me wonder:

When would he have the time to find a girl (since same sex marriage is not a thing in Korea) with whom he would have enough time to befriend her, trust her (considering who Namjoon is, that one is a major thing), fall in love, date and be together for a few years, and then get married? From Seokjin we know they have maybe two or three days off a month and work at least ten hours a day on their BH regulated schedules. Add to that the time they spend in the studio working on music outside of schedules, gym time, a few hours of sleep, and perhaps a few scarce hours of free time to (in Namjoon’s case) go to a museum or ride his bike, does that really leave enough time for romance (with an outsider) that leads to marriage (and a child)?

Is age 26 at the height of their career really the time for marriage? Even more so when you are someone like Namjoon, the leader of the world’s biggest group with more responsibilities than we can likely imagine as outsiders. Sure, he said he wants kids, but he can still have those in his thirties, he can also get married in his thirties, after all, life does not end once you hit thirty despite what some teens believe.

Lastly, I actually think that if it were true, Namjoon, or really anyone from the hyung line, would be the ones who wouldn’t have to hide it, at least not when compared to the maknaes. You could argue that “it would threaten their career” but would it really? Perhaps if the ring were from a man (some namjinists did make jokes that it’s like his promise ring from Seokjin or whatever, but it was all in good fun, nothing more than that), then yes, but connected to a woman? That one member from EXO also came out and said he’s getting married because his fiancé was pregnant and all it did was cause a few fansites to close and a handful of people to “protest” in front of the SM building.

Little correction about my comments about that EXO member, though even with this my point still stands:

From anon: Re: your last post about namjoon’s rings! I agree with everything you said but just a small correction. I’m not an EXO stan but it wasn’t just a a few “protests” or fansites closing. From what I read online, he his fiancée and later wife, and his child were harassed, threatened and stalked to the point where he enlisted early just to give his family some relief. We all know there are people like this in every fandom and I know BTS would be aware of these things, so they’ll be extra careful.

Would there be delulus like this who’d go crazy if Namjoon were to say “ARMY, I’m (getting) married”? Of course. Would it ruin BTS’ career? I seriously doubt it. Do I think Namjoon would actually come out and say it if it were the case? No, but not because it’s bad idol etiquette or because BH wouldn’t allow him, but because people are insane and who knows what they would do.

It’s the same with times when people argue “I wish X ML members would just say he has a girlfriend so the ship wars would end” without taking into consideration the girl’s safety and the fact that a partner different than the one X member is shipped with has never been that big of an obstacle for some before. Just create a conspiracy theory about the company forcing this upon them and voila problem solved. We’ve seen that before when the tattoo scandal happened, and people thought JK might be dating that tattoo artist and therefore it would mean he isn’t in a relationship with Jimin or Tae.

Whatever happens in the members private lives, it is safer for all parties involved if it stays private, even more so if their romantic partners were non-idols, or non-celebrities, or another member.

Now onto the second ring question:

From anon: I am a young army and I am slowly losing my bearings. I've seen Vlive S, H and V. Many say it was a Tk*ok day (?) And all three emphasized it, and the V even wore the friendship ring for Jungkook. Is it true? I don't understand anything about it, I don't see it. After the last BTS interview on TV, I thought Vmin are best friends, not Tk*ok. I thought V said he didn't want Tk*ok and yet he was so happy during Vlive because it was Tk*ok day? Help!

Now this one, I was curious if we’d get an ask about this, even more since, if you’re a reader of our blog, you likely already know what I’m going to say.

Let’s start where you usually do—at the beginning. The day of the vlive coincided with what T*ek*okers have decided on is T*ek*ok Day, based on how supposedly some years ago this was the day Tae and JK named their subunit like this. I tried to find where exactly this happened, as in in which piece of official content, but I couldn’t find anything except for a screenshot. Anyone have a clue or a link?

Side note: T*ek*okers love using the “ship” naming as proof that not only are they real but also proudly showing it off by giving themselves a name but continently forget that they are not the only ones who gave themselves subunit names. After all Jimin and Namjoon named themselves MiniMoni, or Yoongi and Jimin who are MiniMini, Namjoon and Seokjin calling themselves RJRJ last year, or that one vlive with JK, Jimin and Seokjin where they also put together their names the way you build ship names. At the end of that vlive Tae, thanks to come prompting from the chat, named their trio vsope, so does that mean they are a romantic ship now too?

If you were watching that vlive as it was happening, and decided to look at the chat, then you know what was happening. For those who did not, basically the chat was flooded with comments about T*ek*ok Day, asking where JK is whom Tae loves, where his boyfriend JK is, congratulating Tae for T*ek*ok Day etc. Basically shippers took their shipping into a space where it doesn’t belong, into a space where the members can see it, and therefore purposefully broke one of the shipping rules (I even saw some tweet about how they were proud of themselves for literally spamming the chat with T*ek*ok comments which is so wrong, and I mean that regardless of which ship we talk about). In between those were the usual other comments like speak English or say hello to XYZ or say XYZ in whatever language, and very few comments that actually reacted to what the members were doing on screen. Like when Tae said he didn’t shave, instead of telling him that it’s fine, which it is, it’s his face after all, some decided to tell him he should shave more often, basically telling him what to do, which he saw and read out. Great job.

But all the madness came to a “climax” when Hobi was reading comments and among some other ones read out T*ek*ok, just the word not the T*ek*ok Day ones, and unfortunately we all knew he wasn’t reading out the Korean word for Thailand, which sounds the same though it is spelled a little differently. In that moment all hell broke loose. Focus cams of Tae’s facial expression in that moment went viral among shippers, most of course claiming he looked so happy, while other non-shippers claimed he didn’t look happy at all. It’s a micro moment so I won’t get into it, who knows what Tae thought in that moment and what his facial expression meant and if it even had any connection to the word and Hobi reading it out loud at all.

Because he read that comment, Hobi was basically crowned the new leader of the T*ek*ok shippers (I thought that role already went to Jimin?) and twitter basically had a meltdown.

As for the ring, I know this is something a lot of ships have, with romantic connotations according to their shippers, so I was curious how these rings supposedly look like in T*ek*ok’s case and if they even match the ring that Tae wore in the vlive. If it would, fine, if not, well…

If it’s not clear from the picture, the “supposed couple” or friendship rings are very delicate and thin, and sure enough I did find a lot of pictures in which both Tae and JK wore them, usually at different times, I will admit that. But the ring Tae wore during their vlive recently was much thicker and had some kind of design on it, therefore it’s a completely different one. Sorry. Why he wore it, if he bought it for himself or received it from someone, what emotional connotation to may or may not have, those are things we won’t know anything about unless he would tell us, so there's no point in speculating.

“Many say it was a Tk*ok day (?) And all three emphasized it” now this is curious to me since I watched the vlive as it was happening, and I didn’t see that at any point in the vlive. Sure, Hobi read that one comment, but if 95% of comments were about that, I wasn’t even surprised by it. Perhaps he thought that it would get people to stop? Perhaps he just read whatever comments his eyes landed on? Perhaps something else entirely? We have no way of knowing it so there is no point in trying to fixate on it. But besides that, they were talking about many other things and having fun making their smoothies, decorating them and just having a good time together with each other and with ARMY.

So, this way of presenting the vlive basically comes down to shipper perception, confirmation bias, and simply, almost, rewriting history.

Rings do not determine who your best friend is (according to a quick google search, wearing a ring on your index finger simply means friendship or self-esteem/authority), after all many of the members have rings either from each other or ones that match, like Namjoon buying Jimin a Cartier ring for his birthday a few years ago which Jimin proudly wore since it’s really pretty, or pink and blue rings (there are several different ones, actually) that Namjoon has worn with Seokjin in the past (which fits into the Namjinist pink and blue agenda), or the rings Jimin and JK have together according to their shippers, and many more. Jimin and Tae have a whole plethora of matching jewelry in form of necklaces, rings, bracelets, even contact lenses (as in wearing one of each pair to match each other), some which were chosen by their stylists and others they bought themselves for themselves (which are all conveniently “forgotten” by those who ship either big ML ship). Though we’ve seen that even with clothes given by their stylists they were still the ones to choose their own accessories, like Namjoon choosing a pair of glasses from a whole box of different ones, or the members choosing rings from two big boxes before going on stage.

Tae himself said, on multiple occasions across multiple years, that Jimin is his best friend, even his one and only best friend, and that he’s the one he likes most which he even proclaimed on national TV. As long as Tae doesn’t say that this has changed in the last, what, two weeks and suddenly JK is officially his new best friend, those who claim otherwise are basically nothing but shippers pushing a narrative that willfully ignores Tae’s own words. Just like they ignore and twist his Weverse comment about how T*ek*okers should get out of their imagination. What doesn’t fit is ignored or adjusted until it does fit.

Lastly, sure enough, Tae really was happy during that vlive but I’m fairly certain (though neither you, them or I will ever know for sure, we’re not in Tae’s head) it had absolutely no connection to T*ek*ok Day, something shippers created and not Tae and JK themselves, seeing as Tae has been in a very good and happy mood for a few months now. Whatever makes him so happy, I truly hope it’ll continue making him happy and I wish shippers (and solo stans) would stop trying to force a reason (which fits them) upon his emotions.

I know it’s easy to get confused by how loud shippers are online, especially as young ARMY (in this case both ARMY who are young age wise but also young in the sense of being new to the fandom), but shipper opinions, in many cases, are just noise, and also noise twisted and skewed a certain way to suit them. If you kept to OT7 spaces on the day of that vlive, no one really paid attention to the ring, most were annoyed by and furious at the shamelessness of the shippers in the comments, and tried to just focus on how fun the vlive was instead.

A DAY IN THE LIFE ! HER PHONE → PHOTO GALLERY

siyeon backs up her photos regularly to an external hard drive and then deletes them from her phone’s memory to save space for more important things — music, pokemon rumble rush, endless texts ( that are usually grocery lists from her grandmother ).

this means that there’s a lot of gaps and irregularities in her timeline. one photo might say it was taken yesterday but was actually posted on her instagram six months ago and re-saved. then the photo before might say it was saved or taken a month before that, because all the photos between have been saved elsewhere and cleared out.

hence, most of the photos on her phone are saved / kept for a purpose — her and jeno’s childhood photos for blackmail reminiscing, memes for reactions where words just don’t suffice, baking pics from pinterest she’s using for inspiration, her own creations she hasn’t gotten around to editing the youtube tutorial videos for yet.

there’s so specific theme to her gallery. she takes photos as and when she feels like. which, admittedly, isn’t very often. though she is partial to food pictures as long as they’re not full meals. “that’s kind of weird, you know?”

surprisingly, she doesn’t take that many selcas. or does she just save them and delete them so it looks like she doesn’t? hmm.

she used to organise her photos by folders / albums, but found it quite cluttered somehow.

siyeon takes a lot of photos of her friends if they’re willing. she likes to have mementos from trips out and days spent together, though these often go straight to her hard drive because they’re a little more personal than she likes to share on her social media.

(yeah i haven’t been on for a while,, i’ve been busy with school and i’ve been kinda feeling sick being on social medias but oh well what else can i do for past time?)

I stand a wholly 162cm or 5′3″ (yeah i have always thought I was 5′4″ but I remeasured and I was 5′3″ ;-;)

2. What color are your eyes?

black like the deep dark abyss of a black hole :’)

3. What color and style is your hair?

black,, it’s straight and I style it a couple of ways depending on my mood or outfit. most of the time I wear it down or in a ponytail

4. Do you wear glasses?

yep i do,, sometimes I wear my prescriptions color contacts because my outfit looks better without glasses lol

5. Do you have braces?

nope never did, but surprisingly my teeth are really straight??

6. What’s your fashion sense?

I usually go for more of a sporty or girl crush style. I like wearing loose fitting clothes that are baggy and long (especially on the arm but my arms are so long so sometimes its hard to find stuff that are normal length for the body and long sleeves for my arms) but once in a while i wanna feel cute so i wear a dress or skirt or something, but I feel like i can’t move freely in those lol

and I do tend to dress more in a korean style (apparently that’s the reason why a lot of people have mistaken me as korean)

I was born in the US but I grew up in China and i currently reside in the US

As of right now i’m in a 4-year high school, but I also go to a career and tech school for my computer science classes

ehhhhh the one that procrastinates but still tries to get work in on time. i mean i dont really like doing my school work for any classes i dont like, and I would procrastinate as long as possible and still meet the deadline. but for classes i like i will try my best to do work right away and perfect it (which usually make people call me a try hard lol)

12. Do you like school?

i mean i like it when i get to see my friends and learn about subjects that actually interest me and let me have fun in

math, chemistry, foreign language (I took spanish), and computer science

I don't watch a lot of shows but I watched The Office couple months ago and I love that

The Percy Jackson series (although I haven’t finished it oOps), the Paisley Hanover series, and i like quite a lot of poetries (I’m still reading some from these books I bought a while ago, but once I finish i will see if I wanna recommend or not)

cooking/baking, reading chinese comics (I recently got into them and they are sooooo good), listening to music, watch youtube, online shopping, editing (sometimes), mess around with the html codes on my blog, and sleeping

bwahahah way too many,, but if those events never happened in my life I probably wouldn't be who I am today

being a translator or any jobs dealing with computer science (mainly web designer)

24. Scariest nightmare you’ve ever had?

literally every one of my dreams I remember is a nightmare lmao

I mean this dream isn’t really scary because it didn’t scare me that much,,

(BUT IM GONNA PUT A WARNING RIGHT HERE BECAUSE I DID TALK ABOUT BLOOD SO IF YOURE UNCOMFORTABLE WITH IT SCROLL PAST THIS PART NOW)

it was around when I was 8 years old. it was in my old house, and I was sleeping in my room and I woke up alone on my giant king size bed (yeah I used to sleep with my mom for a while because our room arrangements got messed up) nobody was home because I didn’t hear any sounds, but i saw on the wall that was next to me was starting to drip blood. I wanted to go out of my room to see what was going on, so I stepped out and saw the house was empty, and all i heard was loud dog barking noises. I was terribly afraid of dogs so i ran back into my room and yeah the blood was still dripping but i woke up right then

oOps I have too many of them. I’m the kind of person who kinda knows what I want from a friendship, and also knows what I don’t want. So if I see anyone who has any of those traits I dont want I end my friendship with them right then and there. and if someone who i see is being rude, then I just remember who they are and never try to be around them ever

nope and probably never will :’)))))

27. Do you get along with your family?

for the most part yeah, I mean my parents and I argue once in a while over something stupid and I'll just avoid them for like 2 days to a week. but my siblings and I are super well now especially because they all posted something about us on national siblings day when I thought they wouldn't lmao

28. Do you believe in miracles?

I think I do,, I am a huge believer on luck and stuff. so yes I do believe in miracles and I think miracles do happen

29. How are you?

well today is easter and I was supposed to go on a date, but it got canceled last minutes and I’m kinda upset about it since I was dressed and all. but I feel bad for being about upset because the other person might be actually in medical danger so I tried not to think too much about it by doing photoshoots outside my backyard and i think I may or may not have a potential for stay selca day 👀 (I haven’t done a selca day since maybe october/november of 2017,, and it was an igot7selcaday)

Since Twitter has turned into a place where you can't express your opinion anymore without being attacked I'm going to do it here.

If you don't agree with me please don't comment on it because I'm fed up with people saying I'm wrong and that im just a solo stan. You don't like it please just don't comment.

Few hours ago I saw that #WeMissYouJimin was trending on Twitter. And it's little to say that I was shocked.

I guess the problem raised with Jimin not posting for two weeks even though he was one of the most active members on Twitter and then today he posted but people were confused since he didn't include his infamous #JIMIN tag and people thought that his tagging was messy...just for promotion of the product or whatever.

But that's not what I want to talk about.

We all know that Jimin was absent from Twitter for quite some time. His usually daily tweets turned to maybe two for week and then we got nothing for two weeks. And people took it hard I guess. But what disgusts me and disappoints me so much is to see people saying things like "Jimin hasn't posted in so long, can he take a selca with _____ so I know he's alive."....is that all Jimin is to you?

After attacking him for forgetting to engrave Taehyung's name on that board even after he apologised, after "jokingly" calling him sl*t and wh*re after they went to America, after calling him out on everyhting he does, after sending him death threats, after everyhting you think he would post?

I hope, I fucking hope with all my fucking heart that the reason he's not active is because he's busy and not because of all the fucking hate he got in the last few months.

Everyone have been attacking him and both us, Jimin stans, for months....And for what? Breathing and loving him?

Is he the sole reason of getting precious selcas of your "oppa"? Is he really just there for you to hate because he got between your ship?

The shit people...the shit I saw being thrown at him and for no fucking reason? It's fucking unbelievable, disgusting, disappointing to even think that people with that opinions actually exist.

Park Jimin. A boy, a man, with so many insecurities, fears, inner fights, a boy who worked his body to exhaustion and who was uncomfortable with revealing his abs but still did it because he thought that was his only role in the group.

A boy who passed out from over working himself. A man who ate only one meal in ten days so he could lose weight just to please fans who flooded the comments with horrible things about him being overweighted when he was everyhting but it.

A boy who always smiles. Even throught his pain. A boy who was always there for other members, always there to listen to their worries, to be their rock, to help them. Even members said it on multiple occasions that Jimin was always there for them when things got hard. And what was his thanks for that? Demanding more selcas with other members? Calling him attentkon seeker? Mocking him? Hating him?

Jimin, sweet, precious Jimin, who always remembers to post on fancafe to remind us to rest, eat, to dress warmly if the weather is cold, always answering to the comments, encouraging people with their jobs, studies, following our dreams. Jimin, who always remembered to thank us and tell us that he loves us.

You can't even tweet that you love Jimin or that you miss him without being attacked by supposed OT7 stans, telling you that you're a solo stan who only cares about Jimin, Jimin, Jimin.... well who's going to love him? People like you?

Are you all aware that people attacking him for getting over 1B hearts on VLIVE? They accused us, Jimin stans, of not streaming the new album but just watching and giving hearts to his "stupid" VLIVE. Do you all see how far this has come? What will people pull out now from their asses just to throw hate at him?

As you're all aware, Jikook's performance on Preview and Review VLIVE for their anniversary was cut off for copyright issues, and you know what happened? People made a fight about it again? Jikook fans were obviously upset, because Jimin's and Jungkook's hard work kinda just got to waist. They practiced for that performance even thought they were busy with the comeback, promotions, concerts and shows. And people still made problem out of it. Still accused people of just thinking about their ship. Are you all fucking mad? Why do you constantly have the need to just turn everyhting into a fight and unnecessary drama?

How can people even think that this all is reasonable and right? Where is this world going??? I'm so.....livid and angry and upset and I've been crying for the past half hour because of this.

Jimin was always there for me even without him knowing it. He was there to make me smile and laugh when things got hard for me, he was there to teach me stuff about dealing with things and just life in general.

I've seen him grow up from this insecure boy who didn't know if he would make it, the boy who covered his makeup less face, the boy who covered his smile because of his crooked tooth, into this man who has smiled more in DNA and FAKE LOVE era than I have seen him smile in whole debut era.

A man who is getting there with being more comfortable with himself and his body. A man who has touched so many heart with his voice and doings and yet still thinks it's not enough.

Jimin may have grown up a lot but one thing stayed with him and that was his selflessness and humbleness. And people still find way to hate him... Please, please, just stop...please...

I'm sorry if this rant was all over the place but I've been saving this in my notes for months, afraid to post it in fear of getting judged, yelled at, and like I said, being accused of being a solo stan when I'm everyhting but it.

You had just gotten off of Skype with your parents, your boyfriend Mark was by your side. The one thing you had wanted was for him to meet your parents, and get their approval. More or less to show off what a wonderful guy you had met. You moved to Korea on a whim, without your parents, hoping to work for a large entertainment company after becoming obsessed with the way the entertainment industry worked in Korea; even if that meant just being a staff member.

“Your parents are so nice” Mark smiled, tucking the laptop to the side before returning to face you. His eyes were instantly met with your glossy ones, tears starting to spill from it’s ducts. Without saying a word, his smile faded, and he planted a kiss on the top of your head before pulling you into his side with a big hug. This was the first time he’d ever seen you truly cry, and it was unfortunately a feeling he knew all too well. Being a foreigner, all alone, and not even having the safety of friends or family around. He knew how lonely you must be feeling without your family.

“It’s okay baby, i’m here when you need me. Cry all you need to, i’m not leaving…”

You were sitting on the floor of his dorm room, as he attempted to clean up a little. Sharing a room with a bunch of guys often meant it was messy, and usually you’d offer to help. Though after the 3rd time of you ending up cleaning up for him, and decided to just sit on his bed and read. It was probably your favourite book, but the ending always made you tear up a little because you got attached to the male lead character.

“Oh my gosh, this plate must have been here since our debut! It’s moldy and stinks. No wonder why we couldn’t find out where that smell was coming from…” Renjun exclaimed, holding a plate with what may have once been food, from under one of the other members bed. He looked over to you, to see you in tears. The book face down on his bed.

“Is the smell REALLY that bad that you’re crying?”

“No you dork, my favourite character just died…” you sniffled, whipping your tears away.

“Aw, i’m sorry. Will a cuddle help?” he asked, walking towards you.

“Once you throw that nasty thing away, and sanitize your hands,” you giggled through a couple more tears.

“As you wish…”

Jeno

Movie nights with Jeno were one of your favourite things. The two of you cuddled up together with popcorn and a package of chocolate chips which were also sprinkled around the bowl. It was his turn to pick the movie, but he suggested you picked it together in celebration of your 6 months anniversary. You settled on a film called ‘The Boy in the Stripped Pyjamas’ which neither of you have watched. The reviews were really good, it seemed interesting with the theme being around the war.

Little did you know, it was the most heartbreaking movie you’ve seen in a very long time. Most of the movie you were trying to hold back tears; but halfway through the movie, you tucked your face into his shirt and small sniffling started to escape your mouth.

“Are you okay?” he asked, patting the top of your head.

“No…” you whispered, gripping his shirt a little; your face still buried in his chest.

“You’re so cute when you’re cuddled like this, but don’t be sad. It hurts my heart for you to cry like this.”

“Can I see your hair?” Haechan asked as you pulled the hoodie tighter to your head.

“No! I look awful! It’s so short and my mom did such a bad job!”

“There is no way it could be that bad, just take off the hood.”

“Please don’t make fun of me…” you whispered, removing the hood. Your hair which once touched the middle of your back, now sat just above your shoulders, “I look like Dora the Explorer.”

“I thought you said it was bad?” Haechan wiped a tear from your eyes as you stared at the ground.

“I hate my stupid brother! I can’t believe he got my hair sucked up in the blowdryer!”

“It’s okay, I think this length looks cute on you. I like short hair anyways. If you want though… I’ll go with you to the hair salon so you can get it styled in a way you like. There is no need to cry angel.”

“I’m really glad no one recognized us yet” Jaemin exclaimed as you two walked around the theme park. “I’m so glad we could go on a date in public without being harassed. I really want to ride the ferris wheel with you. I know heights aren’t really fun, but I think it would be romantic for us to be together.”

“U-uh yeah…” you smiled nervously. You were terrified of heights, but since Jaemin seemed to want to go on, you tried to hide your fears. He pulled you into the line and held your hand tight. The wait felt like forever, as people were loaded into the cars one by one. Each group that got loaded in, meant you were closer to getting on and being lifted over 50 feet in the air. Only two more groups stood from you and the front. You gripped his hand tighter as tears started to escape from your tear ducts.

“H-hey what’s wrong?” he asked looking at you with concern.

“I’m sorry, I just can’t do this. I’m too scared!” you cried.

“It’s okay, you should have just told me! We can go on something else if you’d like. Is the tea cups okay? We can go on that if you prefer?”

Chenle

Ever since you moved to Korea a few years ago, your birthdays were often uneventful. Most of your friends still lived in your hometown, which meant “celebrating with friends” was just a 4 hour Skype conversation. Even though you had your first actual boyfriend, you expected that this year would be no exception. Chenle told you he had a schedule all day, and unfortunately would have to take you out another day.

“Hey y/n! Happy Birthday!” your best friend cheered into the phone.

“Ah thank you! I wish I could see your face. I miss you so much!”

“I’m sorry, we’ll have to Skype later tonight. I’m out for a bit, but once I get home we can Skype.”

“This is good enough for now. I’m just so glad to hear a friendly voice. I never realized how lonely it can be when you have to celebrate your birthday alone,” you whined as you flopped onto your bed.

“Cheer up! You have Chenle now!”

“Yeah I know, and I really wish he was here right now. He said he’s busy, so we’re going on a date another day to makeup for it.” That is when you heard a knock on your door. You rolled off your bed and went to answer the door, still not hanging up with your friend.

“He’s a good boyfriend though, from what you’ve told me.”

“I know, he’s fantastic… give me one second, someone is at the door” you sighed. You pulled open the door to see two familiar faces…

“Happy Birthday y/n!” Chenle cheered, pushing your best friend in front of him.

“OH MY GOD! YOU’RE HERE!? YOU’RE IN KOREA! DID CHENLE GET YOU HERE?!” You screamed, hugging your best friend. She nodded vigorously. You were crying so much as you clung onto your friend, holding them tighter than ever before. You had to pry yourself from your friend before attaching yourself to Chenle. Tears streamed down your face even harder as he tried to wipe some of them away with his thumb.

“Thank you Chenle so much, this is the best present ever! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!”

“Anything for you… I know how lonely you were without your friends, so I thought i’d help bring one of them to you to make you happy.”

Jisung

You were hunched over your desk with dozens of papers scattered everywhere, and your text book wide open. You had so many final exams coming up, and were up to your eyeballs in homework. On top of that, you had vocal and dance classes to attend, since you were still a trainee. Things were just starting to get too much, too quickly, and you didn’t know how to cope with the stress.

“Hey y/n, are you ready for our anniversary date?” Jisung asked, sneaking up behind you.

“That was today?!” you gasped, turning your head to face him.

“Yeah, did you forget?”

“I’m so so so sorry! I’ve been so busy, and I need to study, and I just have so much to do! It just escaped my mind, because of all of my things are due so quickly and I just can’t handle it!”

“If tonight it’s good, we can just reschedule I guess…”

“Please don’t be disappointed! I’m so sorry, I just-I can’t handle this anymore! I’m so stressed out, and I don’t know what to do!” you cried. Jisung was shocked to see you cry, but saw how hurt you were, and gave you a big hug.

“Don’t cry sweetie, i’ll order some food for us while you study, and maybe I can help you out? Then when you’re done, I’ll give you all the hugs you need.”

It was his first stage debut with NCT U; performing BOSS live on TV. You knew how hard he had been working, and how long he had been waiting for this day. You couldn’t help but be so proud of him, as he prepared for the stage. You stood off to the side, giving him a quick kiss on the cheek and cheered for him, before he walked into the stage.

Maybe it was the way he looked in his outfit, the way his voice growled when he rapped his lines, or just the overjoyed expression on his face. He was happy, and was doing something he prepared so long for. The overwhelming emotions started to pour out of you as did the tears. You were sobbing happy tears for him. Seeing your boyfriend finally getting to debut made you cry like you’ve never cried before.

When he got off the stage, he quickly ran to you and picked you up in a big swinging hug. When he set you back down and looked into your eyes, he saw them glossed over with tears.

“Baby, why are you crying?” he asked.

“I’m so proud of you! I love seeing you like this, and I’m just so happy for you! Can I not be proud of my boyfriend?!”

“Don’t cry, you’ll make me want to cry. I like it when you give me kisses, not tears, so do that instead please,” he admitted, puckering his lips out a bit.

“You’re lucky I love you…”

Kdrama actor and Kpop artist confession. If you’re a fan of any Kceleb PLEASE READ ALL THE WAY THROUGH

Edit: I was pretty direct in my original post but after some thought I have gone back through and censored the actors and artists names just a bit. I have a story to tell. Not sure anyone will hear it. Not sure they will believe it or even care but I’m going to tell it anyway because I have to get this off my chest. I studied for a couple of years at uni abroad in Korea. Koreans for fucks sake are some of the most antisocial bunch if you’re a foreigner I have to say. But thats not what this is about. I happened to make friends with this one guy, Andrew. He is part Korean but also had lived in Britain somewhere or other too so he was more welcoming to me. Seeing as he was almost my only friend there we quickly became close. Nice guy, a bit on the quirky side and didn’t talk much about his personal life to the point it was a little odd. He was very, very secretive. In fact the only really personal things he talked about was his job, school and the fact that he was a member of the LGBT community. When we would hang out it was always at my dorm or we would meet at a coffee shop or someplace. He never invited me to his place. I even got a wee bit frustrated with it and confronted him about it one day. He got more than a little nervous at that and made all these lame excuses about his room mates being busy and he didn’t want to disturb them or that we wouldn’t have much fun there. I was a bit annoyed at this but I let it slide. He was still a nice guy after all and my only close friend there and I enjoyed him. We had fun together. He was constantly getting texts and phone calls from people he called his friends or room mates. He even had a boyfriend that I knew literally nothing about! I felt a little left out. I would ask about them or about meeting them and there was always some vague explanation about them and some excuse why we couldn’t meet. At this point I had known him almost a year and still didn’t even know their names! Not even his boyfriends name! Then one day I asked to borrow his phone and he was unnecessarily protective of it. Yea I get it we’re all weird about anyone else having our phones but come on geez I was having transportation issues , had a dead phone battery and just needed to make a quick call. Long story short I get his phone and make my call. When I clicked end his contact list pops up and theres names in it I recognize. K-idol names. A mix of actors and Kpop artists. I just figure maybe hes some kind of fanboy and maybe he and his mysterious friends use celebrity name handles. Sorry but Kpop fans can be weird and obsessive sometimes, ya know? And he’s just a college boy. Who is he going to know really? Meanwhile Andrew had been distracted by someone he knew who had approached him and they were busy talking away. So my curiosity got the best of me and his screen hadn’t gone black yet, I still had access. So I go on a little snooping spree through his phone trying my best to not look suspicious. Yes I know I’m a bad person but I’m human what can I say? I kid you not, this guy has selca pics out the ass literally probably hundreds of himself with several Korean actors and idols. I couldn’t even mentally take in all of them. I know there were many many with E♦♦ members. I saw at least one with P♦♦♦ H♦♦♦♦ S♦♦ I think his name is? The actor and Z♦♦ guy and I think there was another Z♦♦ member in one of them too if I remember right. There were many with P♦♦♦ B♦ G♦♦, a few with N♦♦ members, one with who I think was a B♦♦ member and quite several with Y♦♦ S♦♦♦♦ H♦. Even several completely random mixed up ones. I was nervous and hurrying faster than my brain can process but I specifically remember one of Andew, B♦♦♦ B♦♦♦ H♦♦♦, B♦ G♦♦ and S♦♦♦♦ H♦ and someone else I didn’t recognize sitting on a couch laughing like they were having a grand ol time. I’m not even much of a Kceleb person but that one shocked me. He had another of K♦♦ J♦♦♦ D♦♦ and B♦ G♦♦ together. And thats just the ones I seen before I got nervous about getting caught. I have to say I was officially intrigued by him though after that. And they didn’t seem like fan pics! That’s what got me most. They looked too comfortable. And they didn’t look like they were taken at any sort of event, concert, fanmeet etc. They were all in normal clothes and sans makeup, in some they even had drink glasses and looked like they could have been in the comfort of their own home. Over the next few months, Andrew did finally start talking to me about it more. He happened to be a childhood friend of a K celeb. Somehow it all snowballed from that. Now he lives with a few of them and is dating one. I won’t go so far as to say which one but he has been for almost 3 years now. I found out he hides behind a “fan” account on Twitter under the name Guksu or JongdaesByuns … or Byunz maybe or some shit like that. Or thats what it used to be at least, I can’t say for certain now. I followed him for a bit before I deleted my Twitter account. I always found it funny he hid behind a fan account for all the people he actually knows. He explained to me that he does it more so for the purpose of supporting those he knows personally and for defending them and speaking out against wrongdoings {I’ll get to that shortly}, and from what I seen he really does. And of course when you’re in uni theres always boredom and the need for time passing. And though I was never much of a Twitter person either, it certainly passes time when you’re bored to death. He’s had several stalkers on there try to expose him. Fuck knows how they even knew because he always denies or is vague from what I’ve seen. And I even got to visit his house and meet a couple of these people . Those I mentioned above, maybe some others even I’m not sure, are all associated with him. I’ve never been a huge fan of K idols myself but I was around uni enough to recognize many, many of them and know some of their work. It’s still kind of weird finding out celebrities are friends with other idols you never suspected they would be. Made me laugh myself a bit at all the stupid fuckin fanwars I would overhear at uni. Fuck if people only knew. I’m not going to say a lot of shit on here because I know how crazy Kfans are and no one will probably believe this shit anyway. Fuck I saw it for myself and I still am in shock so I wouldn’t even blame anyone. But for what its worth, I’m putting it out there. Believe it or don’t, it’s whatever. Doesn’t really change my life any either way except hoping I will feel better having put this out there. Now onto my reasoning A few months ago I had to go back home and Andrew and I had a bit of a falling out before I left . Not going to get into that but we haven’t kept in contact since. But some of the things he told me still haunts me. About the Korean entertainment industry, both music and drama. The way these people are treated. I even heard it from two of them firsthand. There is so much I want to say but I have heard horror stories about what Korean entertainment companies do to people who speak out against them. I don’t really want to risk that. But if any of you watch Kdrama or listen to Kpop I hope you will keep in mind the amount of suffering those idols go through for your entertainment. The working until they pass out or sick, then being pulled up off the ground and told to get back to work. {side story: I was at Andrew’s house one night when one of the above mentioned people called another asking for a ride home from a set because he had worked 70+ hours straight and passed out several times. } Caking on more and more makeup to hide the fact that they are deathly exhausted. The physical, mental and sexual abuse. Yes sexual. And I’m not talking about isolated incidents. I’m talking about these things being the daily lives of K actors and Kpop artists. And absolutely everything that gets said about them publicly are lies. E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G-. If it’s in any way personally related to them and you hear it , then its a fucking publicity lie. Where they live and their homes are lies. The cars they drive are lies. All set up. I mean considering how crazy and stalkery Kfans are and the fact that so many of them don’t know their boundaries or respect privacy, because yes I have seen this for myself so this much I can understand. But it goes much deeper than that. They don’t date who it is told to you that they date. This is probably the biggest one. Their real dating lives are kept creepily under lock and key and the relationship rumors all of you hear are always fake. A.L.W.A.Y.S. Sometimes even marriages and family lives are fake and set up. More so if its an LGBT idol. It’s seriously crazy on the verge of psychotic how far its taken to control these idols lives. And its because everything is considered a scandal in Korea. And fans go crazy over absolutely everything and drop and shit talk their idols over the most ridiculous shit. So these places they are contracted with go to extreme measures to have complete control over what the public knows. Some of them are gay, maybe a lot of them. But hey guys in the entertainment industry are much more likely to be gay I will tell you that now. I was in theater in middle school, high school and uni for close to 10 years and I probably knew less than 5 males in it that whole time who were NOT gay, or claimed they weren’t anyway. Gay men love the arts industries. Not trying to be stereotypical but its kind of a fact. And they’re good at it! So there ya go. I know how anti-LGBT Kfans tend to be so let me tell you, get yourself the fuck over it cause you have gay idols. Probably many. You being hard on them over that is just making their already miserable lives even worse. My only real reason for posting this is to just get all that shit off my chest. I’m not doing this for attention because honestly I couldn’t give two fucks in space what Kfans think. I don’t listen to Kpop or watch Kdramas and since I am no longer in Korea I’m not really exposed to it much at all so I don’t give a flying fuck what the fans of it think of me. And I don’t care to or have time for dealing with their crazy asses. I do want people to know what their idols go through for them just because I think its really fucked up and you all should know if you actually do care about these people. I won’t be responding to any replies or answering questions so don’t waste your time. I needed to get this out there, simple as that. I have lived carrying this with me for awhile now. It gets heavy guys. Really fucking heavy. It just makes me sick that human beings have to endure slave-like lives for those companies and theres really nothing we can do about it. Fuck its 2018 and this shit still goes on. I doubt this post will even get anyones attention but I guess in the very least I got it off my chest. Edit: Yea I know I maybe just exposed him myself but I don’t even know that he’s still active anymore. I haven’t had my Twitter account in quite some time. And he doesn’t use his full name or say much on there personally anyway so I’m not too worried. And like I said, we had a falling out so take that as you will.

Also a final side note for anyone who read this all the way through and isn’t too busy bitching me out: I have seen some of them scrolling through his Twitter profile/feed/whatever before. Several times actually. So yeah they do fuckin see the things you post.

Weaving your way through the crowd of excited fans, you looked for your seat. Not like you would be sitting all that often, you were at a BTS concert, if you didn’t stand you would miss everything. And you didn’t want to miss anything, tonight you would see your boyfriend Taehyung for the first time in person since their tour had started. You loved him with all of your heart, but it had been hard not being with him for months.

Clutching your ARMY Bomb that Taehyung had doodled hearts and flowers on, you finally found your seat. You were quite a few rows back from the stage, and off to the right; all the front row tickets were gone when you went to buy yours. If Taehyung knew you were coming to a concert of his, he would have bought you a complete VIP package, but you wanted this to be a surprise. You didn’t even tell his band mates, knowing that they might end up accidentally letting it slip. As far as Tae knew, you were going to be working tonight and then going to your home to get to sleep for the night.

You felt a buzz in your pocket, and saw that it was a text from Taehyung.

[tae: I’m in Seoul! It’s hard being in the same city as you and unable to hold you in my arms. I love you, and I’ll be thinking about you when I perform tonight 💕]

Attached was a selca of him already dressed for their first song, microphone on and he was smiling brightly. You smiled as you looked at it, if only he knew how close you actually were.

[you: You look so handsome! Good luck tonight, Tae! I love you, and I’m sure you’ll be wonderful as always 💕💕💕]

Your phone buzzed a second later, another text from your boyfriend.

[tae: I miss you so much, jagi. I have to go now, we’re going on in three minutes. I’ll call you after the show. I love you.]

[you: I love you.]

Clicking your phone off, you looked around to see that all the ARMYs were waving their bombs in sync, making a beautiful ocean of lights. You turned yours on, joining them, looking at the girls around you to make sure you stayed in sync.

One of them was looking curiously at you, as if she recognized you from somewhere, but she wasn’t sure where. You had gone public with your relationship with Taehyung ten months or so ago, making a post about it on their Twitter with a picture of you two attached. Many fans didn’t react too kindly to it. Because of all the backlash, you two never posted anymore pictures together, and Tae even said that BigHit started screening all the interview questions to make sure he doesn’t get asked about his relationship.

You figured that enough time had passed that you wouldn’t be recognized, and it would be safe to walk among the ARMYs. Offering her a smile, you continued to wave your ARMY bomb with the other fans.

The girl on your other side seemed to notice the drawings on your light. “That’s so cute!” She exclaimed to you. “Could I look at it closer?”

“Of course, thank you.” You grinned, bringing it down for her to look at.

“I’m Jaehee, by the way. You can just call me JJ if you’d like, most of my ARMY friends do.” She explained, turning the bomb to look at the drawings.

Figuring that your name was common enough to not be suspect, and that most everyone had forgotten your name anyway, you introduced yourself as well. “I’m Y/N. It’s nice to meet you, JJ.”

“So how long have you been an ARMY?”

You never really listened to BTS until after you started dating Taehyung. When he first asked you out, you didn’t even know he was in BTS, you only knew that there was some guy named V.

“Uh, I started listening to them a couple of years ago, but I never got really into them until almost a year after.” That was when Taehyung said he loved you. “How about you?”

“Since they debuted! This is my third BTS concert, actually.”

“This is my first.”

“Do you have a bias?”

Biting your lip, you wondered whether or not to coyly say Taehyung. “Either V or RM.”

You carefully included your best friend as well as used their stage names to make it more impersonal.

“Mine is Yoongi but honestly Taehyung is such a bias wrecker for me.” JJ’s eyes found the note and you completely forgot that Taehyung had actually called you jagiya and his love in there.

Just as she looked up to question you on it, the lights dimmed and music blared through the speakers, signalling that the concert was starting.

Deafening screams blared from all sides of you, and you joined in. Tonight you could just be a fan, not Taehyung’s girlfriend, an enemy to the fans. Tonight you would be one of them.

You couldn’t stop grinning as you watched Taehyung dance and sing his way through Not Today. You’d seen him practice before, and of course you watched the music video. But seeing him on stage, throwing so much passion into it, it was a truly breathtaking experience. The final chords faded into Am I Wrong, which had to be one of your favorite songs.

You were sure you were going to lose your voice before even the middle of the show. Your chest swelled with pride as you watched Taehyung perform, and your eyes never left his figure until he would leave the stage during the other’s solos.

Namjoon was finishing up Reflection, and V stepped out for his solo, Stigma, microphone in hand rather than the headset. When he sang the first notes, his voice was so sorrowful and beautiful, you found your eyes watering.

JJ turned to you as you were crying, trying to cover it up. “Y/N, do you miss him?”

You looked up at her startled. “What?”

“You’re his Y/N, right? He wrote the sweetest note on your bomb.”

“Yeah, I do miss him. A lot.” You admitted, wiping at your nose.

Taehyung was at the part where he was singing that ‘you’ were so fragile and received his punishment instead of him, then onto where he apologized to various members of his family.

“I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m-” His voice cracked, he was crying too.

Your boyfriend tried wiping at his face, but he couldn’t sing through his tears. “I’m sorry, ARMY. Tonight I’m just really-”

He had to stop to wipe at his tears again, lip quivering as he spoke. Your heart ached for him, knowing that he was crying for you.

“He misses you too.” Jaehee announced, then turned to the girls with her. Those girls then talked to the other girls around them, and soon you had a mass of ARMYs swarming towards you. You weren’t sure what was happening; were you going to be hurt, attacked?

You felt many hands underneath you, lifting you up in the air. On stage, the other member of BTS had joined Taehyung on stage to comfort him, softly continuing to sing his solo for him. The ARMYs lifted you high above the crowd, and it was then that you realized what they were trying to do. They wanted Taehyung to see you.

He was crying into Jungkook, head buried in his friend’s shoulder. It was Jin that spotted you being held high above the crowd, and pointed you out to Yoongi.

“Bring her up here!” Suga yelled into his microphone, gesturing for you to come forward, and the crowd started passing you along them, hands keeping you aloft.

“Come on! Come on!” Namjoon encouraged them, and you were dropped in front of the security guard monitoring the stage.

“Help her up!” Jin ordered, and the security guard laced his hands together for you to step up.

Your friends crowded around you, helping to pull you onto the stage. Taehyung had lifted his head up at the commotion, clearly wondering why his hyungs were bunched up at the front of the stage. They broke apart to reveal you, and Taehyung dropped his microphone.

The crowd was screaming so loudly at this point, but you didn’t listen to any of it. You dashed over to Taehyung, hugging him tightly. He was sweaty from performing, but you didn’t care, you hadn’t been able to touch him in so long.

“Y/N. You’re working right now.” He said in disbelief, burying his face in your neck, breathing you in.

“No, jagiya, I’m here. With you.” You replied, stroking his sweaty hair. “I want to kiss you, but I don’t know how the fans will feel about the skinship.”

“Screw the fans.” He muttered, bringing his face back from your neck to plant his lips firmly on yours. You reciprocated it, getting lost in your own world with your boyfriend.

“I love you.” You said against his lips.

“I love you more.” He replied, kissing you once, twice, three times before stopping.

The other Bangtan boys were grinning and smiling, clearly touched by the situation.

“Y/N! You didn’t tell us you were coming tonight!” Namjoon complained jokingly into the microphone, showing the fans that it was okay as he gave you a friendly hug. The other boys greeted you warmly as well, and you thanked them all.

Taehyung had stepped forward, looking out into the sea of screaming fans. He took Namjoon’s microphone from him, clearing his throat into it. “Hello. Many of you might be angry, or confused.”

He paused, looking back to you, holding his hand out towards you. You walked forward to stand beside him, lacing your fingers with his. Looking into the crowd of fans, you felt nerves worm their way through your system. You tried to only focus on the feeling of Taehyung holding your hand, and on his beautiful face.

Your boyfriend took a deep breath before speaking again. “This is my girlfriend Y/N. I first introduced her to you ten months ago. She wasn’t welcomed into our family, which hurt both me and her. Since then, we’ve refrained from sharing our love. For the past two of those months straight, I didn’t see her. I’m done. I love her, and as my ARMYs, my family I hope that you love her too.”

With that, he ended his speech, tears spilling down his cheeks again. Namjoon took back the microphone as you turned to Taehyung, crying as well.

“That was beautiful, jagiya.” You said to him, brushing the tears from under his eyes.

A roar came up from the crowd after he had finished, and it soon became one distinct chant:

Taehyung x Reader

Genre: Angst/Fluff

Word Count: 5,300

Taehyung reached across the table and pouted, “C’mon...don’t be like this... It’s my last day in Korea and you’re gonna be all sour?”

He watched her movements as he gently took her hand in his. She kept her gaze down, her expression was still filled with nothing but irritation.

Taehyung knew that bringing her to the mall probably wasn’t the best idea. No, he wasn’t worried about being swarmed with people, he was worried she’d see things she liked then go off on an explosive tantrum when he’d break the news that he wouldn’t buy every single thing for her.

Well...looks like his worries came true once again.

Currently, the two were sitting in a cafe sharing a portion of shaved ice together. Luckily, it was a weekday which meant adults were pent up in their workplaces and kids were in the middle of class. There was no one available to interrupt the couple’s date, aside from the employee who worked at the cafe. She asked for a photo which Taehyung and Miri happily obliged. Taehyung knew that they probably would not be able to stop by this cafe again anytime soon.

Miri was sulking as always. That was one of the best things she did, as Taehyung noticed over the course of their dating period,

“What’s wrong? I thought you said you liked shaved ice?”

“I do like shaved ice, but not when it’s comeback period and I have to watch my weight 24/7.” She grabbed a glass of water, took a sip, then slammed it back down on the table.

“Are you really that upset that I didn’t get you that one handbag?”

“Oh, and how would you have ever figured that out?” She spat with a clear tone of sarcasm in her voice.

“It’s only a bag. It’ll still be in the store when...”

“No, it won’t be! It’s a limited edition handbag that was made only available for the 100th anniversary of the brand! Plus, there are only 100 out there in the world. It’s probably sold out by now.”

A thick silence filled the air as Taehyung took another bite out of the mound of ice.

Eight months ago, when their relationship first began, Taehyung had no idea what he was getting himself into. He and the boys were doing promotions, and A.Mi also happened to be doing promotions as well. He bumped into her on his way to the bathroom (surprise, surprise) and she immediately introduced herself as one of his fans. Soon they started up a small conversation and it ended with her giving him her number. Taehyung didn’t know how he didn’t faint on the spot.

The first few months went by like a dream. Everything just felt so perfect: the dates, the hugs...the kisses. Miri was just as sweet as Taehyung thought she’d be, just as sweet as the entirety of South Korea thought she was.

Too bad nothing is ever as it seems.

He started to see beyond her facade after the third month. That was when Taehyung first properly introduced the members to her. It was all good at first. The boys were polite, even you were polite (which kinda petrified him considering you were equally just as overprotective over him as he was with you). You and the boys did accept Miri at first.

However things soon began to go downhill pretty fast. Every time Taehyung left the boys alone with Miri, he’d always return to a weird and awkward atmosphere in the room. Whenever the boys were having lunch and Taehyung asked if Miri could come, they’d never fail in producing some excuse for her not to attend. Taehyung thought it was rude of them of course. The boys were totally fine if it were you or even Yeo Woon coming over, but when it came to Miri, everyone just sighed.

A number of the boys actually did confront Taehyung about Miri, but he didn’t choose to listen until you talked to him. It was like a big slap in the face once he heard those words of distaste towards his girlfriend come out of your mouth. He never felt so hurt by you before. He thought that you, his best friend, would support him all the way...but that wasn’t the case and that made him distraught.

Taehyung didn’t know what to do with that new found feeling towards you, so it resulted in your first full blown argument that seriously put a major dent in your friendship. During those weeks of not talking, he felt crushed. Numerous times he wanted to message you. Numerous times he wanted to apologize, but he was scared. He didn’t want to damage what little he felt that you two had left. So when he finally mustered up the courage to apologize, he felt so relieved that you wanted to make up too.

After that, he began to realize the true nature that Miri hid behind A.Mi. On stage, in front of cameras, in front of fans she was the most gorgeous, polite, sweetest human being on this planet...but behind the curtains...she was someone else. Taehyung didn’t even know how her true nature seemed to slip past his radar, but when he finally did see the truth he reacted in a way no one else would have thought of: he stayed with her.

You see, Taehyung was a people person. He loved to befriend people. He loved to help people. He’s seen how he could change people, and he hoped that he could do the same for Miri.

It’s been months since he’s made that decision and he’s had countless more arguments with both the members and with you. On top of that, Taehyung had made very close to no progress on Operation: Make Miri An Actual Nice Person.

Now, as he sat across the table from his oh so wonderful girlfriend, he finally began to wonder if all of this was worth it. Was trying to stay with Miri, trying to change her really worth all the pain he had to endure? Was it worth putting your friendship on the line?

Taehyung was starting to admit defeat.

Miri tossed her bag in the backseat of the car that one of Taehyung’s managers so generously let him borrow for the day before settling down in the front passenger seat. Immediately, she took out her phone and held it up in front of her,

“Taking a selca?”

“Yeah, I haven’t posted in a while and many of my fans are wondering where we are.” She shuffled around in her seat as she tried to find the right angle, “Taehyung-ah, do you mind turning a bit? I can’t really see your face...oh and smile! We can’t have people starting rumors that we’re having problems or anything.”

Obediently, Taehyung moved into frame so that Miri could capture the supposed “sweet moments” she was going to explain that they were having in the caption. Once she was satisfied with the photos, she sat back in her place as Taehyung began to drive off to their destination.

It was quiet for the whole duration of the car ride since Miri kept herself occupied by watching all the likes and comments rack up. She craved the likes, the numbers, the attention. Taehyung wished that she could crave for his love like that.

The car came to a stop and finally snapped Miri out of her stare down with her phone, “Where are we?”

After unbuckling himself, Taehyung reached over and unbuckled Miri, “We’re somewhere that’s more valuable than handbags.”

Hand in hand, Taehyung lugged along the ever so indifferent Miri who once again turned her attention to the small gadget in her hand after hearing it burst with new notifications. She only gave him her full attention once she felt a woosh of cold air hit her and saw that now she was engulfed in darkness. The only thing allowing them to see where they were walking was the illumination of the dim lights that lit the narrow aisles.

“Where the hell are we? Like for real?”

“Shush, c’mon sit down. The show is supposed to start soon.” He took a seat somewhere in the middle of one of the rows and Miri had no choice but to follow suit. As she took her seat, she almost fell backward. The only thing that stopped her from completely crashing backward was the support of Taehyung’s hand behind her waist, “Are you okay?”

“Yeah...thanks.” She adjusted herself, this time feeling for the seat with her hands before laying completely back. Confusion filled her head as she thought that these seats laid back lower than normal ones, but it all made sense to her once the show began to take its course.

A beam of light flashed from the center of the room and shot up toward the gigantic domed ceiling. With magnificent colors and imagery, the ceiling turned into a brilliant depiction of the bright, blue sky. Quickly the sunny day time lapsed into the radiant splashes of sunset and eventually slowed down once night hit. In the night sky, buds zealously sparkled through the darkness and the calming voice of the narrator started her narration about the stars.

Taehyung was instantly captivated by the shimmering polka dots that scattered the dome above them. Each small point represented something hot, something burning...something shining and it brought him wonder and awe at what else the universe has yet to offer for us humans to discover. He wasn’t always this way. He didn’t always appreciate the stars as much as he did now. He only opened his eyes to the wondrous beauties of the night when you showed it to him back in high school when you forced him to star gaze with you. He grew to like the stars, not for their meaning, but for their sheer beauty.

The show came to an end and Taehyung still sat, jaw dropped with awe, in his seat. He turned to his girlfriend who was slump in her seat with drool peeking out from the corner of her mouth,

“Jagiya, wake up. The show’s over... Miri-ah...” He poked at her and gently shook her before she finally woke from her slumber. She slowly batted her eyes open and yawned, but shot up in her seat after realizing that she fell asleep. Miri looked at her wrist watch,

“OH MY GOD. IT’S ALREADY 5:07 PM?!” Miri jumped to her feet, “Taehyung, we have to go! I have to get back to the company by 6!” She grabbed his wrist and pulled him all the way back to the car.

Once again the car ride had been silent. Once again Miri was glued to her phone. Taehyung thought that this little trip to the planetarium would be able to open her up, perhaps give her something new to talk about other than her impressive Instagram ratio. But to Taehyung’s seemingly never-ending disappointment, he was wrong.

“So..jagi..” He slightly turned his head over to his silent girlfriend in the hopes that he could spark up some sort of conversation,

“Hmm?”

“How was the show? Did you like it?”

She nodded her head, gaze still trained to her phone, without taking even just a glance at Taehyung, “Yeah...”

“Were you even awake?”

“Hmm...” She was paying him absolutely no attention what so ever, but he continued the conversation on his own anyway,

“The show was so fascinating. I can’t believe how many starts are up in space just burning with such intensity. And the different colors they’re in too? It’s so...”

“Hold on, can you shush for a bit? One of the news channels posted a clip on Twitter talking about me. I wanna hear it.”

“Oh...okay...”

Taehyung didn’t know how he hadn’t yet grown tired of the constant silence. Sometimes he’d feel like he was the only one trying in this relationship...well, he practically was. He figured out, after being nagged by you and members many times, that Miri had only used him for publicity.

Maybe him deciding that he’d stay with Miri and help change Miri was just an excuse because Taehyung didn’t want to admit that he made the wrong choice in dating her in the first place.

After a little under an hour on the road, Taehyung made it to Miri’s company barely on time.

“Thanks for the ride Taehyung-ah!” She grabbed her bag and got out of the car as fast as she could without giving him the usual peck on the cheek. Forgetting something as small as a peck wouldn’t have affected others, but that made Taehyung’s heart drop. It only confirmed to him more that Miri really wasn’t in the relationship for him.

He turned to look back, getting ready to back out of the parking lot when he spotted something on the floor. It was an envelop of some sort. He thought that it must have fallen out of Miri’s bag when she tossed it in the back earlier. With care, he picked up the envelope and put the car in park intending to get out of the car...but he hesitated. He knew it was rude, but his curiosity was getting the best of him. He looked both ways as if anyone could see him through the tinted windows, before opening the envelope.

The bags beneath your eyes were absolutely no joke. For the past two nights, you were kept awake by your own loud thoughts. You contemplated on calling or messaging Taehyung to apologize, but you threw that out the window because you knew you didn’t do anything worth apologizing for. But you didn’t want him to leave on tour again with your relationship left like this...you didn’t want him to leave on bad terms.

“Wow, you look like shit.” Yeo Woon, who was standing by the front door waiting for you, handed you a piece of toast knowing that you didn’t have time to eat a full proper breakfast.

“Thanks, Woonie. You sure know how to make everyone’s day don’t you.”

“Hey! Brighten up! I’m sure whatever is going on with you and Tae is gonna get resolved soon. He’d like a lost little puppy without you.”

“I’m sure he’s doing fine without me.” the piece of toast in your mouth muffled your reply, “I gotta go, or else I’m gonna be late.”

Quickly, you slipped on your sneakers, took your umbrella and dashed down the corridor,

“Have fun working with the bitch!” You scowled at your roommate’s ‘comforting’ words.

Shoulder to shoulder you bumped into many people as you rushed down the hall. It was nothing new. At least getting to make friends with many famous idols made up for all the bruises you got over the past couple years.

You were on your way to the break room in need of a nice five-minute break when a hand caught your wrist, dragged you out one of the doors and into the back parking lot. You were lucky that there was an overhead awning or else you would’ve gotten drenched by the horrendous rainstorm.

“Let go! Who do you think you...” You paused after you saw just who decided to drag you outside,

“Hello to you too you fucking rat.” Your eyes rolled instantly as if it were instinct.

“I was hoping we didn’t have to see each other for another hour, but I guess something must’ve happened if you willingly decided that you needed to talk to me. If it has to do with your boyfriend, then why can’t you just ask hi...”

SLAP

The left side of your face stung worse than when you had to wipe rubbing alcohol on a paper cut,

“IT’S ALL YOUR FAULT!” Before you could even comprehend anything, you were suddenly pushed against the wall behind you. Miri’s elaborately manicured talons clawed at your collar, “TAEHYUNG BROKE UP WITH ME BECAUSE OF YOU!”

You blinked rapidly. Did you hear her correctly? Taehyung broke up...with her? Was this a dream?

Unfortunately, it was quickly confirmed that you were not dreaming when you felt another harsh sting on your other cheek. Miri had backhanded you. You should’ve been fuming. You should’ve had flames come out of your ears. But all you did was smirk with satisfaction.

“WHY THE HELL ARE YOU SMILING LIKE THAT? Are...Are you mocking me?” The grip on your collar tightened, “Huh? Is that it, you rat? How dare you laugh at me!”

She held her hand up as if she were going to slap you again, but the back door swung open before any contact was made,

“Y/N-ssi, are you...” It was your boss who was probably wondering why your break was taking longer than usual.

Miri immediately let go and fell to the ground in a dramatic fashion, “Oh help me! This..this wench...she dragged me outside and threatened me!”

Your boss scurried over to Miri and tried to calm her down as he helped her up, “Oh, I am so sorry A.Mi-ssi. I’ll make sure something like this never happens again...Y/N-ssi, why don’t you apologize?”

Miri glared at you, mentally slapping you in the face this time with her own look of satisfaction, “There’s no need for an apology. Why don’t you just fire her instead?” Her grin was growing by the second.

Your boss was surprisingly taken aback, “A-A.Mi-ssi...as Y/N-ssi’s boss I will decide what consequences she will have to face. Come inside, why don’t you...”

“NO! She threatened my life! She...she almost hit me! I was just defending myself from that monster. She deserves to get fired!” Her lies were beginning to really make you fume. Too bad your boss was here or else you really would’ve liked to pull at her hair.

Luckily, you and your boss were on really good terms. If it weren’t for his strictly business sort of attitude, you’d probably consider him a friend. Even though he was your boss, he’d always allow you to vent about your job and that was probably because he was in your position once. He understood your struggle of dealing with some ruly and rude people.

“A.Mi-ssi, we can deal with all of this at a more appropriate time. As for now, you will be performing in less than an hour and you have plenty of fans waiting for you. You wouldn’t want to let them down, would you?”

Miri slumped in defeat, “Fine. Later it is then.”

Your boss opened the door for Miri and she flipped her hair before making her exit. Towards your boss, you mouthed a quick “thank you” to which he just smiled and apologetically nodded.

You brought your hands to your face and soothed the areas where Miri’s ring cladded hands came into contact with. The flaring warmth of your skin stung even worse now. As you made your way to the break room to get some ice, you started to think of ways to explain how you got two hand marks across both of your cheeks to the rest of your coworkers.

Taehyung groaned in his seat at the airport. He, the boys and their managers were patiently waiting to board the plane, but the flight had been delayed a for a couple of hours due to the major torrential storm pouring down.

The boys all remained quiet, looking through their phones, playing games or writing down lyrics as usual. Everything was the same other than the fact that Taehyung was now a single man once again. It would’ve been a lie to say that the members were anything but happy when he told them that he broke up with Miri. In fact, they seemed a little too happy that Taehyung decided to break things off and it kinda hurt him a bit...but Taehyung understood why they were happy for him.

He couldn’t believe that Miri would actually do that to him.

His mind traveled back to yesterday right at the moment he opened that cursed envelope. Engraved in his brain was the sight of that small pile of photographs of you and him at the park together.

You were right.

The photos actually existed and they were in Miri’s possession...she did have someone follow him to the park that night when he hung out with you. The guilt that plagued him was so unbearable. You didn’t lie to him. You never lied to him, but he snapped at you...he didn’t believe you, the one person who he knew would forever stand by him no matter what.

And so, he marched into Miri’s company and asked for her. When she came out to the lobby, Taehyung held the envelope up to her face and asked her why she had those photos. Miri had nothing to say, not even some lame excuse left her lips. Her silence, her lack of denial was all that Taehyung needed to finally push him over the edge.

Beneath him, he rummaged through his carry on and found the envelope. There was no way in hell that he’d just return these photos to Miri, so he kept them...and he couldn’t help but keep on looking at them. He’d been staring at them all night. Just the look on you face, your smile, your complete and utter happiness in these photos made his insides churn so much. The guilt was eating him from the inside and he desperately wanted to call you, tell you how sorry he was...but he couldn’t. He didn’t know why, but he didn’t have the courage to apologize to you right now. That was probably because he thought that you were disgusted by him. Deep down, he knew that you had to put up with a lot of shit because of Miri, but he was the one who didn’t do anything to stop it. He was scared that you’d finally had had enough with him and hated him after the last argument you two had.

So, for now, he decided to wait until he could muster up the courage to face you again.

He put the envelope back in his bag and reached for his back pocket where his phone was kept. As much as possible, he wanted to stay away from social media since he knew that the news of his breakup would’ve hit the internet by now, but he had nothing else better to do. Just as he opened up Twitter his phone began to ring.

He answered it on the first ring and bolted for the exit as soon as he heard Yeo Woon’s voice,

“T-Taehyung...it’s Y/N...she’s...she’s hurt.”

The ceiling wasn’t as entertaining as you would’ve liked it to be. It wasn’t like you didn’t have anything else better to do other than stare at the ceiling, but that was what you just felt like doing after a long day of work. Well...a long shortened day of work. As a result of the little altercation between you and Miri, your boss had no choice but to send you home early and give you a month suspension with no pay. He didn’t want to punish you, but you knew that he’d look bad if he had let you get away with “threatening” an idol so you gladly took the punishment given. It wasn’t like he was firing you anyway.

You rolled on your side and reached for your phone on the nightstand. With tempting eyes, you stared at Taehyung’s contact number. Should you call him? Would he be on the plane by now?

Behind you, you heard your door creak open and a loud irritated groan, “Why don’t you just call him instead of staring at your phone like a little school girl staring at a photo her crush. Oh, wait. He is your crush. And you’re practically like a little school girl”

“Shut up.” You flung a pillow in her direction, but Yeo Woon had quick reflexes. She caught it without being fazed at all.

“So,” she leaned against the door frame, “You must be happy. Our little Taehyungie finally broke up with Miss Bitchy Face....why don’t you swoop down for the kill? Now’s your time to shine!”

“Oh, shush. Even though Miri-ssi was a total ass, I’m sure Taehyung must be hurting.”

“Awww, look at you being all worried about your wittle honey bun.”

“YA!” You cheeks flared, causing your already tender cheeks to become even warmer,

“Why don’t you just call him, Y/N? Don’t you wanna make up with him before he leaves?”

“Yeah...well...I don’t know...I just can’t will myself to call him for some reason...”

“Ugh, Y/N! You’re so useless sometimes! All it takes is for you to press a simple button then BAM you’ll be able to hear his voice and apologize to him....please talk to him. I don’t know if I can handle your constant sulking for the next few months.”

You turned onto your back and snuggled yourself further into your bed, “Whatever...I’ll call him later. He’s probably on a plane by now...”

Yeo Woon was saying something to you, but your drowsiness just wasn’t having it. Soon enough, you eyelids fell shut and sleep pulled your consciousness away, drowning out Yeo Woon’s nagging voice in the process.

Your eyes fluttered open and your eyebrows furrowed at the weird sensation of some sort of cloth wrapped around your face...actually it was wrapped around your entire head. It was everywhere. It covered your eyes, covered your mouth. The only place it didn’t cover was your nose so that you could breathe.

Was it gauze? Was it a blanket? A towel maybe?

Eventually, you figured out what was wrapped around your head.

What the...is this toilet paper? What the fuck...

You tried to bring your hand to your face so that you could rip the thin paper, but a gentle grip on your hand tightened at your movement,

“Y/N-ah...” the voice sounded strangled as if the owner was trying to choke back tears, “Are you okay?”

You didn’t need to see his face to know who was talking, “Tae?” The toilet paper muffled your voice, “Whar arf you doinf her?”

Suddenly, you felt Taehyung engulf you in a hug, “I’m so sorry, Y/N-ah! You were right all along... I’m so sorry for everything...”

He cried against your shoulder and you comforted him as you knew that he probably felt guilty after all this time. While he was crying, you took the opportunity to rip the paper from your face and handed him a few pieces to wipe away his tears with,

“It’s okay, it’s okay.”

“Y/N... No! Your wounds!”

“My...wounds? What wounds?” Taehyung removed his face from your nape and took hold of your cheeks which did cause them to sting a little. Boy, did Miri really pack a punch.

“Yeo Woon...she called me and told me you got hurt...and when I got here your face was covered up so I thought you were hurt very badly...”

Dammit, Yeo Woon.

She probably called Taehyung and wrapped your head in toilet paper to scare him while you were asleep. Poor Taehyung was probably terrified at the sight of your mummified head.

Was the toilet paper really that necessary?

“Don’t worry Tae. I’m fine. I just got...slapped a bit on the face, but other than that I don’t have any fatal injuries. See?” You moved you head around to show him the lack of cuts and bruises that he probably imagined that you had sustained. The only thing that adorned your face were two hand marks on both your cheeks. They were faded now, but the clear lines where Miri had hit you could still be seen.

“I can’t believe she did that to you... Didn’t you take self-defense classes? Why didn’t you put her in a headlock or something?!”

“I couldn’t just have simply put one of Korea’s most beloved idols in a headlock, Taehyung.”

“Ya! But what about me?” He pushed you lightly on the shoulder. His small pout and eyes full of disbelief made you burst into laughter for some reason. Soon enough, he too joined in the fit of laughter. The awkward atmosphere that you thought you two would’ve had was nonexistent and that was a major relief to the both of you.

After calming down, Taehyung decided to ask about what happened, “I heard you got suspended for a month. But it wasn’t even your fault! How could she just blame you for something you didn’t do?”

“I know, but my word against her words...well...people who don’t know the real Miri probably wouldn’t believe it if I said that their sweet A.Mi slapped me in the face.”

“But...you didn’t do anything wrong! You...”

You pulled him into another hug, “It’s alright, Taehyung. I’m fine.”

“You may be fine, but I’m not!” He tightened his arms around you and said in a hushed voice, “If word got out that you supposedly threatened Miri, then you’ll be attacked with an onslaught of horrible comments and even death threats.”

“I know... But as long as you’ve got my back then I think I can manage. That, and I guess I won’t be going on the internet anytime soon.”

Taehyung didn’t know how, but you were able to crack a smile even when you knew that your reputation may be massacred on the internet at any moment. He always admired how you changed from that shy little girl to such a strong woman.

“Aish...my little star always seems to shine brightly even during the darkest of moments, huh?” He ruffled your hair at which you winced, “Oh my god...are you alright? Did I hurt you?!”

Quickly, a smile grew on your face, “HAHAHA! Did I scare you? You should’ve seen the look on your face! You...”

You were disrupted by him placing you in a headlock, “YA! KIM TAEHYUNG LET ME GO!”

“Nope!”

You two heard a few “tsks” from the doorway prompting Taehyung to let go of your head, “Well, I see that the two hooligans finally made up.”

As much as you wanted to throw another pillow at your roommate’s face, you did owe it to her for helping you and Taehyung make up. She walked over and sat on the edge of your bed in between you and Tae,

“Have you guys seen the news yet? Get ready to go back to work, Y/N. I don’t think you’ll be put on suspension anymore.”

You and Taehyung stared at each other in confusion for a moment before turning to look at the phone in Yeo Woon’s hand. On the screen was a recently posted video entitled “Idol A.Mi Attacks a Staff Member?”. It looked as if it were taken by lurking fans waiting around the back of the building for a chance to see their favorite idols and the video showed everything from Miri dragging you out to Miri slapping you on the face two times.

Normally, you hated to see a person’s downfall, but watching this video made you practically jump for joy in the inside. You knew that Miri’s reputation as Korea’s sweetheart would forever be tainted.

Taehyung watched your face as you looked at the video. His smile grew wider as your’s grew by the second. You were beaming stronger than ever before. He realized that didn’t need a planetarium or a telescope to gaze at the stars. As long as he had you, he could go stargazing whenever he wanted because you may not have known it, but you truly were a glimmering star. You were his star that opened his eyes and showed him the way.

After many months, he thought that he truly felt happy again...he felt happier now than in all that time he spent with his ex.

Taehyung guessed that all he really needed was to see his little star shine again.

sf9 stands for “sensational feeling 9,” they’re an idol group under fnc entertainment that debuted on october 6, 2016. before debut they were in a program called neoz school as the neoz dance team, along with 4 other trainees that made up the neoz band team (now honeyst, check them out they’re great!) the two groups then entered the survival show dance or band (d.o.b) to get a chance at debut. the dance team won by a very close vote so they got to debut first. in korea, sf9 has released one single album, called feeling sensation, and two extended plays, called burning sensation and breaking sensation. in japan, they’ve recently released two singles, fanfare and easy love. they are currently holding fanmeetings around asia and will be at kcon la next month!

Hi. I have a doubt about vmin recently V is so close to JK it seems like V avoiding jimin may be anything happened between them or something

Hi, and sorry you feel like this. But what is there really to doubt? I mean, sure we don’t much of the members at the moment, but we literally had them release as song about them being soulmates like 3 months ago.

This ask came the same week we got a run episode (tae/kook cooking, which also had some Vmin in it), the vlive with JK and Tae as well as a picture posted by Tae on weverse of JK and a selca following their live. However, the amount of content we get always fluctuate. And as for tae/kook they have always been close, they are still very close, people just downplay their bond in combination with us not getting a lot of content. I don’t see why suddenly just getting content means it has been some sort of shift in dynamics.

I am sorry, but I think people really need to realize that relationships doesn’t work this way. That when you see two members together more often it somehow means something bad for another pair.

The avoiding/being cold part from Tae towards Jimin isn’t exactly new either. The case of the lives is just the latest example that people have noticed because it feels a bit more obviously weird. But in the end the two of them seem fine, or we probably wouldn’t get moments at all.

In the end we know Vmin are best friends and even soulmates. Tae has said this many many times over the years. You also had him say “Jimin is like an angel” very recently etc. I really think people need to stop putting so much value into every little moment, good or bad.

Even if something happened between them I am sure they will get over it eventually, their relationship doesn’t seem very fragile to me after all these years.

I hope you can feel better. I know we all miss BTS (and Vmin), but I think if something would actually be really wrong we would notice it more clearly. I don’t think Tae would laugh and troll Jimin’s live (much less watch it) if they somehow had a problem between them.

In the end I hope everyone (shipper or not) can simply enjoy what we get without seeing it as something negative. All of BTS are close and we get more or less moments with all ships. Just because some are seen as “rivals” in the shipping fandom I find it extremely hard to believe the members themselves would see it like that. So even if we don’t get a lot of Vmin I hope you can still feel secure in their love for each other, because that is definitely real. <3

To give a quick backstory for those who did not see the original, I received an ask about a year ago asking why CNU was my ultimate bias (and to explain it in detail). Of course, me being the wordy person I am (In addition to how much I actually do just adore the bear), I wrote an extremely long-winded response.

Unfortunately since I deleted my blog a few months after posting, my CNU Megapost got lost along with it. So! Under the cut is my original answer to why exactly I love CNU~ (anything italics represents new notes, the rest is unchanged! Besides a few new gifs)

ahh this sounds like an exam question! haha I must admit, I had this finished a few days ago. But, what better day to post this than on CNU’s Birthday? So, Happy Birthday Shinwoo! This is better than any sappy gif set I could make anyways!

Reading my tags, I’m sure you can see that I am quite verbose at times. So I certainly can give you a very detailed explanation of why I adore CNU... which I’ll put under a cut for obvious length reasons.

So I tried to think of the best way to go about this and keep it organized. I have some main points that I then went further into detail describing, and listed them in what I guess we can say is least important to most important.

First off, as I’m sure many would say about their bias, I obviously find him attractive. To be honest, it didn’t start out this way. The first time I saw B1A4, it was stumbling upon their ‘Beautiful Target’ MV they had released just a few weeks prior at the time, and CNU looked like this:

(didn’t I screenshot such a nice moment?) Ok, in his defense none of them looked spectacular, although they all did look super adorable. I didn’t have a bias right away, but I did quickly fall for the group themselves. It didn’t take too long before CNU’s more gentle appearance got to me though. I loved his sweet eye smile, and how he had non-standard idol features, like his round nose and bunny teeth, his glasses and funky hairdos.

UGH that was a look. Anyways, as he matured, despite loosing the quirky hairdos, opting to not wear glasses as often, and shaving down his bunny teeth (took some time but I did eventually get over Baro and him doing it lol), I found him to become even more attractive. He filled out and became this mega broad-shouldered man capable of giving me pseudo heart palpations. (Also on a side note, I also think it’s nice that he’s not super thin like the majority of idols.)

ok! Wow, first bullet point done!

As a next point, I love the way that CNU treats his fans in such a manner of adoration. All of the boys have their own manner of acknowledging the fans. We all know Gongchan has his insane fan service: Jinyoung writes songs and tries to include BANA in their projects, Sandeul and Baro like to play off each other to entertain them... but CNU’s actions are a little more understated. In the beginning, it was a running joke that CNU was even too embarrassed to say he loved the fans. He was a very shy bear when they debuted. Even so, you can tell in the conversations and responses he had with the fans, even back in the beginning, how much he cared about them, giving them advice and wanting them to do and be the best that they could be. It’s something he continues to do still, even though luckily for us he’s overcome his fear of the ‘L’ word. Instead of just telling the fans that from the beginning, he waited until he was comfortable with it, when we knew it was sincere. In his posts, he trusts the fans by giving them updates on how he is, even when the news is sad. He continues to give his advice, and presents it in such a way that we know that we’re not going through it alone-- he has his down days, his doubts and his own anxieties, just like everyone else. But his encouragement to always push forward is something I admire so greatly in him. He always remembers to drop by, even just to say hi. And he always reminds us that we help him, just as much as he (tw: suicide mention in the following ‘helps’ link-->) helps us. While his responses may be simple at times, they are heartfelt, and even through his interactions and gaze you can truly see how much he cares.

Some other CNU w/fans/fan letter pics --> (x)(x)(x)(x) Note the beautiful smile in each one. In other words, CNU doesn’t cover up who he is for the fan’s sake. He trusts us enough to be honest with what he is going through (although this took some time for him to work up to, which I’ll be getting to later), and is genuinely interested in how our well being is. To me, the fact that he isn’t over the top, instead opting to have more mundane, normal conservations through twitter or the fancafes demonstrates a sincerity that is hard to come by, especially with people you don’t know. But for CNU, if you’re a BANA, than you are part of this intimate circle. You can feel his appreciation of your support.

Now to get into the more detailed points. (The first two were child’s play compared to these next two 😌 ) I love CNU’s relationships with his fellow members. They are the people he has been with since he was in high school. Who he began with, in a nondescript building where they had only a few rooms to train in. He spent sleepless nights with them, worrying if they were good enough to debut, if they even had a chance to make it. Even before they deputed, there was already so much they had been through together, stories that they shared in their small dorm. In such a cramped space, you have little choice but to express your emotions with each other; And B1A4 made it a promise amongst themselves, since the beginning, that they would be open and talk with each other. Alright, so I admit I’m getting off track here, since this is about my CNU thirst and not about pre-debut B1A4. But I think there needs to be a little background set-up to better understand where I’m going with this. The basis of the members’ relationships was set up from these beginnings, and gradually evolved into the deep brotherhood they have today.

With Gongchan, CNU had certainly felt the need to step in and fill the older brother role. Though Gongchan was an older sibling himself, with the members even admitting his maturity, that wouldn’t stop CNU from being a protector. He felt the need to correct Gongchan, and while of course coming from a good place, it was something that Gongchan didn’t come to understand and appreciate until much later. Maybe because of this, Gongchan was said to be awkward around CNU (although I personally don’t really believe this, I think that they are both just the type to be comfortable with silence. Besides, there’s still plenty of moments from the early days where they were caught goofing with each other! )

My favorite thing about the Shinchan relationship is that CNU respects Gongchan, and has acknowledged that as Gongchan got older, he was no longer the same minor that needed direction at every turn. I think CNU and Gongchan make a nice pair, with CNU able to have moments of seriousness with him, but also being able to let down his guard and have some fun himself.

CNU’s relationship with Baro I think is an interesting one-- Shinro, or as I and some other’s like to call it, 2woo (cause who wouldn’t want two woo’s for the price of 1, ha ). Similar to Gongchan, CNU acted more as a guardian to Baro in the beginning than a fellow teammate. Baro himself has admitted that he got into trouble pre-debut (only some white lies and skipped practices, remember we’re talking about the living, breathing, walking, angels B1A4), which lead to CNU stepping in to help get him back on track. It wasn’t all scolding however; CNU took his place as guardian in a more emotional way when Baro thought he would be alone at his graduation. Showing up there with Jinyoung cemented his place as a support system that was deeper than being just teammates. What adds an interesting layer to their relationship is their liking for similar r&b and hip-hop music/style, something the other members don’t really share. Out of this, comes the true 2woo brotp pureness-- seen in the beautiful selcas here:

And has never gone away. Of course it’s not all swagness, with them having their cute moments as well. But while Gongchan brings out a pure, maternal side to our bear, Baro brings out his hidden Usher. It is more of a brotherhood dynamic, with less cute skinship and more of the sibling roughness (not necessarily physical roughness) many of us can relate to.

Compared to the other two, I don’t think Sandeul was quite as dependent on CNU to steer him. Despite the quirky, loud duck we tend to see on programs, Sandeul has always seemed to have a pretty good head on his shoulders. What Sandeul does bring out in CNU, however, is his own inner child and playfulness. There’s a comfort to their relationship, that was always apparent from day one. I’d think a lot of people would argue, just by glancing at the dynamics of the group over the years, that CNU and Sandeul are the closest (and looks like I still stand by this!). And while I’m not sure if that’s true necessarily, they definitely are physically the closest, with CNU having an ease with touching and playing around with him. A lot of times, I think CNU relies on physically teasing Sandeul to help ease any tension he may be feeling, or to try and generate a laugh. They play off each other quite well. And while there may be a few moments where I’m even internally screaming for CNU to leave our poor duck alone for 10 minutes, Sandeul never seems to mind, and I think this is because he knows CNU’s motives aren’t tainted. Once and a while, Sandeul even gets the chance to get his small revenges on CNU. (and I live for those moments. Especially when he gets back at Baro too.)

Too cute. Like I had mentioned, despite CNU’s nagging and occasional torments, their relationship is extremely close, because CNU respects Sandeul for the large and important role that he plays in the group. He is the main vocal, and when it comes to his singing, CNU is always one to compliment Sandeul, mentioning how cool he appears singing. CNU went to Sandeul for advice when it was his turn to take a stab at musicals, knowing that Sandeul has had more experience than he has. It is this yin and yang, the lighted hearted jokes with the deep mutual respect, that really allows CNU and Sandeul to be so close to each other.

Ah, down to the final member. Jinyoung and CNU, my otp *screams ‘shinyoung' from the rooftops* And of course, since they’re my otp, the laws of the universe say that they must interact the least with each other compared to all the other members. But, that doesn’t mean they aren’t close. Pre-debut, I think CNU and Jinyoung spent the most amount of time together out of all the members. Being the same age, it was natural for them to become close. Once they graduated from high school, they even went to Japan together, a trip with just the two of them. From their first impressions of one another, they began to rely on each other a lot. With Jinyoung taking the more ‘father’ role of the group and cnu falling into place as the ‘mom’, it was just natural for them to develop an easy way of communication as the ‘parents’ that didn’t need to involve the bold displays of affection like that seen with CNU and the younger members. The members themselves know of the lack of physical affection between the two eldest, and much of the skinship/moments we do see with them is generally due to the younger three initiating it or ganging up on the two grandpas, leading to wonderfully cute, awkward moments. (It seems the others are just as big of Shinyoung supporters as I am! lol) The Nico Nico Japan program also seems to feed off of forcing the duo into great situations as well. The moments shared between the two when not harassed by the members are generally much simpler, but endearing all the same. I think there’s a slight trepidation to show how much fun they do have together, but they provide some of the funniest moments that bipo as to offer. There’s a humor between the two, that unfortunately seems to get overshadowed by the louder pairs. But there’s also a tenderness to it as well— CNU isn’t afraid to cling onto Jinyoung during times of weakness, and Jinyoung isn’t afraid to lose it with his crush-like giggles over the stupid things CNU jokes about, or have CNU help him when he gets lost. (honestly though, half the time it isn’t even remotely funny but hey, CNU has seemed to found Jinyoung’s sense of humor) Bottom line is that the Shinyoung relationship is one built on an extreme amount of respect, and even a slight dependence, on one another. It is understated, but complex, seen only truly in the small shared moments versus the forced comicalness.

This last point was the most difficult, and took me the longest to write. How can I begin to explain what I really love about CNU? That every little component that makes him up, I find to be so perfectly wonderful? I admit that I’m being quite sappy, but for the most part, it is true. Going back to what I first said at the beginning of this post, my first impression of CNU and the rest of the boys was that they just seemed like goofy, happy guys around the same age as me, dressed in silly outfits. They radiated positivity and a genuine warmth that immediately got me hooked. With CNU, he was very quiet for the most part during those early years. In reality, he’s still not a talker now, but in comparison he was really quiet back then lol. I think what stood out to me was that he always seemed to be both a step behind, and a step ahead, but never fully immersed in the present. What I mean is, he always seemed to be thinking of what was just said, turning it over in his mind, while thinking of how to react with what was said or done. And by the time he thought of what he considered the appropriate reaction, the moment would have passed anyway. Not only mentally, but for physical reactions as well, he is always thinking about the action fully before planning his own move. It wasn’t before long that the joke came about of him being slow, like a bear. And while the members themselves have admitted from time to time that in actuality, CNU can be quite fast if he needs to, I think it stems from all this internal thinking and contemplation constantly going through his mind. His outward appearance may look and be slow, but internally, I think his mind is constantly churning ideas. Specifically, what drew me in, is that I can relate to this very much myself. Now, I’m not physically slow like CNU may be half the time, but mentally, I do find myself going over what people say, thinking why they may have said it, what motivations they may have (not necessarily bad motivations either— this could be with my family and friends too, much like CNU with his members). But, for the most part, I used to do this when I would find myself being unsure, or in uncertain situations where I would feel a little uncomfortable. This got me to thinking, is that why CNU is like this? And in my opinion, I would say yes. In the beginning, I think CNU was very unsure of himself. Unsure of how he should act, unsure of how he should react, unsure of how he looked, unsure of what others thought of him, unsure if he was even cut out to be an idol. So I think relating to him in this way made him seem so human to me. I feel like when idols first debut they always seem to cute and shiny and new. But having an idol like him that I could see some doubts with, I was just stunned. He’s a very internal person, and I think he was so shy early on, like with doing aegyo, or telling the fans he loved them, because it was something out of his comfort zone, and because of that, he had a fear of messing up. And if he messed up, he was in turn afraid it would get negative reactions out of watchers or even fans. I had already mentioned how much CNU cares about his fans, but bringing it back to him personally, I think there’s one incident that really sums all this up. Basically, he forgot a fan’s letter in the dressing room, and later, someone discovered that it was thrown in the trash (probably by a janitor or other staff). But in his long winded apology he goes on about even mentioned that he knows this fan because of the type of paper design they use, shows not only his care, but also this fear I had mentioned that people might judge him, especially over an accident that was not his fault. Again, this is something I can relate to, as I’m sure many of us can. We want people to like us, but the fact that it’s really out of our control is scary. We can try as hard as we can, but with one wrong move (especially in the idol business) it can all go out the window. Another moment demonstrating this mentality of his was when B1A4 finally (finally!!) had their first win with What’s Happening.

(Ahh I still get goosebumps watching it!!) But really, look at his reaction. All of them I think had the thought of ‘Yes! We Made It!’ Gongchan’s getting emotional, Sandeul’s hiding in the back, Baro starts to cry and the end, Jinyoung’s barely holding it together… but CNU is literally sobbing, breaking down, on stage. This is one of the first times he can’t control what everyone sees, and it’s ironic because the main reason he is breaking down is because he’s probably thinking that yes, after all this time, they do like us, they do accept me. After so many years of being unsure of himself, and being our introspective bear, thinking too much about how he should act, here’s a moment when he finally lets it go. It’s been so great seeing him grow, and in a sense, mature, out of this state. With their last comeback (last comeback means ‘Sweet Girl’ based upon when I initially wrote this), he let his emotions flow freely; Going to their most recent Private Life ep, we can see him being silly and doing crazy dances with Jinyoung, singing the ‘Pick Me’ song. (I had linked it above in the Jinyoung section lol). I think a lot of Banas who have been following bipo for some time would agree with me that, what we saw in that video, would never have happened with debut—2013 CNU. Sure, he did silly things and had cute moments, but it was generally with the members always there, especially Sandeul or Baro, acting as his barrier or cushion. But that’s an example of him just letting go. It’s funny, because over the years as he became more comfortable with himself, I did too; so we grew together in that sense.

CNU has mentioned mutliple times that being a singer, being able to perform on stage, was a dream of his. His mother being a singer (as far as we know, actually compared to the rest of the members I feel like we know very little about his family), and even being in a band with his friends in high school, it was clear this was a passion of his. He didn't let prior failed auditions stop him, as he continued to perform on stage. And by a stroke of luck, a WM rep fell in love with the aura and smile that CNU gave off, and smartly recruited him. (Thank goodness! lol) He started with small steps, focusing on being the ‘best dancer’ of the group, kind of being the jack of all trades. Not as good as Sandeul in singing, not as good as Baro in rapping, but adequate enough to fill either role when needed. He started helping writing lyrics, like working with Baro on their early title track ‘Beautiful Target’, before eventually composing his own hella smooth jams (with some questionable lyrics 😏). He has improved so much, but the great thing is that he wants to continue to improve. He was one of the first in the group to get an acting job, but was smart and knew at the time that it probably wasn’t the right move for him— he wasn’t ready, or skilled enough. But now, he’s out starring in musicals. It was confirmed last Fall (fall of 2015) that he was suffering with a knee injury, but was postponing any treatment because he wanted to stick through their promotions, to finish on stage with his members and fans. However, he has suffered with knee problems for quite some time (It might be a good idea to warn people about the video I’m about to link —> x <— it may make some uncomfortable to watch if you don’t like seeing people in discomfort). But the point is, he persevered through it all; through the chronic pain, through the tryouts and auditions, through the years as rookies, until being able to stand on stage, with his members or on his own, singing and dancing to songs he composed and wrote. I really admire this kind of tenacity in him.

This last paragraph (haha yes, we’re almost done!!) is going to be more of a list almost, random things that I’m going to type as they come to me, that I think adds to his character, and why I love him. I previously called him an introspective bear, and I think that first word is a really good descriptor of him. (well both of them are really, he's always been the bear!) Going through and listing the synonyms for that word, they all fall into place to describe him: introvert, self-analyzing, thoughtful, meditative, all words that fit him. He’s a nurturer: he takes care of the members, making sure to do something as simple as checking to make sure all the lights were turned off and being the last one to do a quick check that no one forgot anything when they still lived together. He gets comfort from physical contact with the members, and gets sad when he wakes up to find they left to go eat without him. He was so protective of baby Eunsol and Hyunwoo on Hello Baby, demonstrating his patience and care.

It was also on another reality show, Sesame Player (which IMO is still the top reality they’ve had) that the infamous (or at least in the Bana fandom) cupcake incident occurred. It’s mostly a funny moment, but basically cnu bakes a half plain, half chocolate cupcake representing the unity of North and South Korea. Like I said, it’s a little silly, but when you think about it, what 21 year old actually thinks of something that deep when making cupcakes? Our introspective bear, of course! It’s these little glimpses to me that are most prominent; but rarely are they specifically about him. I had mentioned earlier that we know very little about CNU’s family; and in one of the most raw, personal stories that we ever heard from him, he opened up and talked about his father’s alcoholism, and the effects it had on him and his sister growing up. All in all, he was still fairy tight-lipped about this, so we don’t know what happened for sure except for what he’s actually told us. But, I just get the feeling that CNU didn’t have all of the… ‘resources’ growing up (I’m sorry I can’t think of the right word there 😣 hopefully what I’m saying makes sense) compared to say, Jinyoung for example. And the fact that he grew into such a warm, thoughtful and caring young man, makes me wonder if he’s trying to make up for what he *maybe* lacked; but it’s also so telling of the wonderful person he is through and through. On the other hand though, he obviously loves his mother very much, as he always mentions his ideal type would be someone caring like his mother. And again, maybe this want for a more motherly, caring gf tells us something as well. Either way, I think CNU is in a great place now, surrounded by his friends and the people he cares most about. He’s doing what he loves, and he knows he has the fans love and support which in the end, is what he thrives on, what keeps him going. I’m very proud of him.

As I conclude this… “gospel of CNU” lol, there’s just a few more remarks I want to make. First, I want to apologize, because although I would normally consider myself a fairly decent writer, this was a lot more difficult that I expected. I feel like I’m a little all over the place; and although it’s easy in my mind to think of why I love CNU, it’s much more complex to actually choose the right words. Second, I’m sorry how long it took! Once I started writing it though, I just couldn’t stop adding more. In a way, I’m very happy I wrote all of this though… being a fan of the boys, with CNU as my bias, for so long, I felt like it was necessary and deserving to write something like this for him. I may rely too much on my opinions at times, or an almost ‘meta’ analysis, but I hope my points come across well. My hope is that some random person will read this, and maybe turn them into a fan of CNU, and B1A4. All five boys are so deserving of all the happiness and good fortune they can get; I love them all.

And lastly, I just want to say thanks to anyone who actually took the time to read this to the end. I, (and I’m sure CNU!) appreciate it~!!

[UYU REVIEW] o-lens russian velvet brown circle lenses from pinkicon 💕 keep reading for the review!

Hello everyone! I hope your January was good and that your 2017 got off to a great start! Mine was okay, but I feel like I've done nothing since I'm still on summer break, haha. Anyway, today I'm going to be my first circle lenses review in a long time! The last review I posted on circle lenses was about 1.5 years ago 😱

The lenses I'm reviewing today are the O-Lens Russian Velvet Brown, which I purchased from Pinkicon!

O-Lens is a pretty well-known Korean circle lenses brand, although they're still not as accessible as other circle lens brands like GEO, for example. You might have heard of them because EXID's Hani has been their model for a while now. Pinkicon is a circle lens store which is based in Hong Kong, and I've purchased from them quite a few times. They stock a lot more 'unknown' brands of lenses, including Korean and Japanese brands such as O-Lens, Pienage, Heroine Make, as well as the more common brands like GEO and Dueba. The really cool thing is that they have free worldwide shipping on most of their lenses!

ABOUT THE LENSES

First, I just want to talk a little bit about these lenses and why I chose them.

The Russian Velvet line is a fairly new product line from O-Lens, and as well as Brown, they’re also available in Grey and Blue. The thing that really struck me about these circle lenses is that they looked super bright, even on dark eyes.

Maybe it was just the styling of the model. but the lenses really reminded me of the Ice Cream Cake concept from Red Velvet!

These are monthly lenses that are sold in boxes only, with 2 lenses per box. Unforunately, that means if you have a different prescription for each eye, like me, you’ll need to buy two boxes 😕

Here’s a summary of all the details:

PHOTOS + DETAILS

My order came in one of those yellow bubble mailers, and the shipping was so fast. I ordered on December 30th, and they were shipped out on January 4th, so about 4 business days for processing. I just chose the free option for shipping, Hong Kong iMail, and the estimated time was 20 to 35 business days to New Zealand. The package actually came on January 11th, which is only 5 business days from the shipment date! I was really pleasantly surprised ☺️

Here is the contents of the mailer. As well as the lenses I ordered, which were wrapped in bubble wrap, there were two free lens cases as well as the order receipt and a care manual.

Here is what the box looks like! As I mentioned earlier, I had to get two boxes because you can only get two pieces of the same prescription in each box, and my eyes have different prescriptions.

Here are what the lens packaging looks like. These are peel-open capsules, and the foil wrapper also has the information for each lens.

Here is what the lens looks like once taken out. As you can see, it’s super, super light and almost transparent! At first, I was kind of worried because I wasn’t sure if it was going to show up on my eye properly.

TRY-ON + FIRST IMPRESSIONS

As you can see from these pictures, the colour is a lot brighter than my natural eye colour and the size is almost the same as my pupil. These are really natural looking for circle lenses, and most people couldn’t tell that I was wearing anything.

To be honest, they’re actually a bit lighter than this in real life and I thought they looked a bit spooky when worn without make-up at first. Unfortunately, it was really hard to capture the true colour with my camera, but the last picture is pretty colour-accurate! 😖

They were really easy to put on since they are quite soft - usually the shorter the duration, the softer the lens - and I really liked them at first. I think one of the cons with how soft they are is that they damage quite easily though. I think I may have scratched the lens for my left eye at some point because after the first week, it was super irritating to put in so I’ve had to throw it out and use the other one and it has been fine so far.

Here are some selcas of me wearing these circle lenses! I would say the right half on the second picture is the most accurate colour to real life! 💕

OVERVIEW + THOUGHTS

O-LENS RUSSIAN VELVET BROWN: 4 / 5

Enlargement: 1 / 5 These are really natural looking circle lenses, and the englargement is very minimal since the graphic diameter is pretty small and there’s no limbal ring. I would definitely recommend these if you want a natural lens with a bit of ‘pop’ but these aren’t the best for huge dolly eyes.

Comfort: 4 / 5 These aren’t quite as comfortable as some other lenses I own, even from O-Lens but it’s not too bad. They do feel quite dry after 6 hours and on one occasion where I had to wear them for 10 hours (I was dumb and forgot to bring my glasses when I had to gym before work), it was super sore even with eyedrops. Another thing I had with thes lenses is that the left one became really uncomfortable suddenly, just after a week of wearing. I’m pretty sure I might have scratched the lens, or something along those lines, but that kinda thing hasn’t happened to me even after years of weekly lenses that are much more delicate. It’s just a slight annoyance since I didn’t even get half the wear time out of these that I wanted to, so it’s basically $16 gone 😞

Colour and design: 5 / 5 I really enjoy the colour of these! The light brown shows up quite well on my eyes and it has a kind of ‘ethereal’ look, although I think if you have light brown eyes already, it’ll just look the same on you?

Overall, I really do like these circle lenses and I would recommend them if you’re looking for a different kind of natural circle lenses that pops even on darker eyes. I’m not sure if I would repurchase to be honest, since $16 per month is kinda pricey when my other O-Lens lenses, the Jenith 3 Colour Natural Gray, are $26 for 6 months. I might still try the Blue lenses from the Russian Velvet line still, but I don’t think they’ll be my go-to lenses, even though I do like them, just because of the cost.

Shipping: 5 / 5 Their shipping was extremely fast, and I’m pretty happy about that. The specific dates are outlined earlier in this post, but the processing time took 4 business days and the actual shipping time was 5 business days. I’m even more impressed with this since I ordered just after Christmas and the postal service and a lot of businesses are still really backed up at this time.

Communication: 5 / 5 Some people asked me if their customer service is good, and the only experience I’ve had with the customer service is from over 2 years ago now. I had ordered the GEO Honey Gray lenses in two different prescriptions, but when I received the order, I got them both in the same prescription. I messaged them about it with a photo of the vials and they got back to me ASAP and sent out a new package with the correct prescription for my other eye, so I was pretty happy with that.

I’ve shopped with Pinkicon many times before and I’m really happy with their site and service in general! I’d definitely purchase from them again, especially since the shipping is so much faster now for some reason.
