okay so i've been just absolutely brainrotting over this for like weeks now and its time to finally post it!

i've basically just been compiling songs that i think fit each of the life series winners, and they're either songs i've seen work really really well in animatics already or songs that would probably work really well, but are less popular or not associated with this fandom (yet)

i'll be linking+listing them here as well as providing little snippets of explanation for why i think the song fits, but i don't feel like making actual spotify playlists or smth, so if anyone else wants to do that, be my guest.

ofc i still had trouble finding good songs for some of them- if anyone seeing this has a good idea that i missed, lmk and i'll update these posts (no promises tho)

2. A Big Day for Grimley - AJJ: this one is because of this animatic, and also the lyrics fit the characters almost too well

3. Take Me to War - The Crane Wives: i know that everyone and their mother has done desertduo crane wives, but i've yet to see anyone use this song, which is a shame since its one of my favorites!

I've earned myself a reputation That my bark is much worse than my bite But I keep snapping at Goliath's hands With all of my tiny might (technically, he's not red, and also his traps keep failing, so the threats are pretty empty, but that will not stop him from being a menace)

4. Community Gardens - The Scary Jokes: this is watcher!grian again, sorry not sorry- i do have a really vivid image in my head of an animatic for this song tho (the brainrot goes deep, i cannot escape)

Full disclosure, I am a monster A creature of despair, not that that should be a cause for concern (its so watcher coded im gnawing on the walls)

(ok so remember when i said i had an animatic idea about two sentences ago? ya. so i imagine this part as watcher!grian going through and causing the final deaths of all the winners (except scar we'll get there i promise) for instance, smiting scott at the end of LL, severing pearl's soulmate string in DL, and checking the time left before killing martyn in LimL)

The culmination of man's mistakes came the day The sun ran so hot, it turned the desert to glass (this is the whole "hail mary" thing where they blew up the whole desert and still didn't kill anyone)

If there's something to be learned from all these losers It's that the price that you pay For arrogance and a false sense of immunity Is to face the wrath of a dying star (false sense of immunity is scar's no kill passes, reputation points, etc., which really didn't mean all that much in the end (see: Bdubs))

5. Passerine - The Oh Hellos: aside from the obvious bird symbolism (passerine are songbirds), the overall theme of this song fits the character pretty well! (i think it could also apply to DL jimmy if you squint)

You were the song that I'd always sing You were the light that the fire would bring But I can't shake this feeling that I was only Pushing the spear into your side again (3L typical desert/light/sun/fire imagery, with a bonus helping this time of 3L typical self doubt and/or survivor's guilt! you love to see it)

My palms and fingers still reek of gasoline From throwing fuel to the fire of that Greco-Roman dream Purifying the holy rock to melt the gilded seams It don't bring me relief, no it don't bring me nothing (more arson what can i say- also the hollow existentialism that comes with killing your friends)

When he comes a knocking at my door What am I to do, What am I to do, oh lord (ok i like to imagine this line as grian realizing that scar's SL win means he goes to hang out with the winners now, meaning uhoh reunion time! that's about to be awkward!)

6. Do It All The Time - IDKHBTFM: yeah i know it doesn't seem like it fits at first, but i think parts of it captures the spontaneous silliness of 3L pretty well

No reason why I'm only doing anything I want to do Because I do it all the time We're taking over the world A little victim-less crime (making monopolies (or trying to) really just because)

Now we're so young But we're probably gonna die It's so fun We're so good at selling lies (this one's pretty on the nose, but you get the idea)

Stampede!Legato's Charm Points

...A not-comprehensive list of blatant squee for the @tristampparty.

I enjoy every version of Legato (which feels like saying "water is wet"), but Stampede's version in particular feels dazzling, like looking into the sun for too long. And if you couldn't tell from that description and looking at other people's reactions, especially toward his looks, this is very much me "proselytizing" in his favor. (Or finding like-minded people!)

Charm Point the First: How He's Framed (...Mostly)

(The big zipper on his coat is also cute by the way)

Studio ORANGE made a fascinating choice with Legato for Stampede s1: his face is either in shadow, or at various angles that highlight how striking he is, usually as seen from below. This forces us to either a) look deeper at what expressions we do see, or b) focus our gaze on everything else about him. So a win either way, really.

On the other hand, though: please let us see more of his face in S2 PLEASE

Charm Point the Second: His Hands

Self-explanatory, I know. But hands are an absolute pain to draw and I'm forever impressed with the sheer, insane detail the animators get across with Legato's. Look at this gif, you can actually see where he laughs when his wrist tilts! There's something so erotic and dangerous about how they're portrayed. Very very good.

Charm Point the Third: His Laugh

This Legato is a downright jolly fellow in some ways compared to the previous ones! His laughter is lovely, often low and soft and wicked. It makes every scene with him more fun for the viewer, because he's having fun.

Charm Point the Fourth: His Plantlike Complexion

One might even call it a "ceramic-like pallor". It has to be because of the Plant genetics Stampede's writer mentioned. It makes him even more Fair Folk-like and otherworldly, almost ethereal; it adds another creepy, "don't make that deal" layer to his scene with Wolfwood.

Charm Point the Fifth: His Legs

I could've picked a different shot, but no. This one illustrates the point rather well, I think. (In general, besides his stomach he's on his way to a male ballet dancer physique, which is a wonderful thing.)

Charm Point 5.9: Safety First!

Something about Legato doing nefarious deeds and still wearing a seatbelt is just...peak moe for some reason. 10/10.

Charm Point the Sixth and Seventh: His Nape/Hair

I love this shot so much uuuuuuu look at the lighting

Sometimes the sheer floppiness of his haircut in some screenshots undersells how neatly managed it actually is. Legato may not want people to talk about his hair, but he does take good care of it. It's sleek, it's out of his way (mostly), and I can't help but wonder if it's cut as short as it is in the back to avoid touching his skin... :(

Charm Point 7.5: His Waist

It's the part everybody critiques! Yes, he looks like a Ken doll with it being that narrow. Yes, I 100% think that's the point and Studio Orange will make us sad about it in S2. Moving on quickly so as not to dwell on it!

Charm Point the Eighth: His Voice

I'll be talking about his dialogue right after this, but really, that dialogue wouldn't land right without the perfect voices to match. Whether subbed or dubbed, Stampede!Legato manages to slide between cold elegance and zealous desperation with ease. (Also, again, That Laugh *happy shivers*)

Charm Point the Ninth: His Dialogue

While we sadly only see Legato in two episodes, I think they're still a great introduction to him. We're given just enough to understand why he conflicts with Vash and co., what his motives are (which he might explain too much, but anyway), and who he is as person. He's a human who fundamentally doesn't understand humans, least of all himself. I think he's drawn to Wolfwood and Livio's relationship specifically because he himself doesn't have a reference point for it. It fascinates him even as he hates it. And speaking of that...

Charm Point the Tenth: His Confusion About Love

I left this one for last because unlike the above, which are mostly fixed states, this one really could go in any direction. At the end of episode 6, Legato explains how he doesn't understand love and thinks it should "give way to devotion". This is interesting, to say the least, because past Legatos don't just lay things out that clearly, and neither do most characters in Stampede. There's practically a big neon sign blaring over this!

From my very biased standpoint, there's nothing more fun than when a character who looks like this *points at the above* disdains love that openly. That means that either a) Legato is being set up to never understand love ever, which is less interesting, or b) discover what love means to him. Will that end well? Poorly? Will Studio Orange give us enough string to make a cats cradle out of for our own entertainment? Who knows! It's all up in the air for now.

I just think that there's nothing more narratively thrilling than limitless possibilities and slowly winnowing them down, is all. :D

FAQ: interceptions and duplications

hello loves, tonight we're talking about interceptions and duplications in astrology. what are they, what do they mean, how do we interpret them? the specifics of each intercepted/duplicated sign and such will be up in a future post! i'll be using my own chart for examples here, and if you have questions about interceptions or duplications in your own chart, i'm always down to try and help via asks :-)

interceptions are an astrological concept that indicates an imbalance somewhere. there are a few ways they can be interpreted, but generally it points to either a lack of guidance or opportunity to express the qualities of the intercepted sign in early life. this leads to insecurities, negative beliefs and problematic behaviours later in life, often manifesting in the way of the opposite sign to the first interception. an intercepted sign will always have its sister intercepted too, so you can kind of see that it has a polarising effect. duplications are often where and how we find our path towards healing from these difficult patterns. duplications show us where we received a lot of guidance or opportunity, where we were shown the right way to express the energy of the sign involved, and where we have a lot of those traits. although there is still an imbalance, utilising our duplications helps us grow and develop the intercepted signs and consciously bring their energies into our daily lives.

when it comes to interceptions, we're looking for a sign that is fully contained within a house, and doesn't rule any houses, and for duplications, we're looking for one sign ruling two concurrent houses. for example, i have sagittarius and gemini intercepted in the fourth and tenth houses (purple highlight), and virgo and pisces duplicated in the first and second/seventh and eighth houses (pink highlight).

time for a personal example: as a child, i was very isolated. i never traveled and had very little contact with my grandparents, teachers or other adult role models. i was taken out of school at a young age to be homeschooled and had undiagnosed ADHD, so didn't take to it very well. in a lot of ways, i had a very unconventional upbringing and was often told i was very clever, but i was taught (not explicitly, but through the actions of the adults around me and the at-the-time unnoticed ADHD) that i was stupid, lazy, careless etc., and that my thoughts and writing weren't good enough. as an adult, i carry those beliefs with me, and until very recently have behaved as if i was stupid, lazy, thoughtless... i would not apply for things, not work hard due to the fear of not shaping up, and would unconsciously sabotage myself, even to the point of deleting projects, ghosting people and opportunities. i think this is very sagittarian, but you can see bits that reflect gemini too. it's pretty bad, and i'm embarrassed to admit it, but after a lot of work... i still hold those beliefs, and the fear of failure, and the worry that people will see i'm stupid and will reject me. but for the last couple of years i have returned to this blog and continue to write, i got my high school education and a counselling certificate, and am now at university studying an academic subject. i even have hopes of writing a book in the near future. what helped me was therapy, psychoanalysis to be specific, and meaningful relationships with good, safe people. over time i became aware that these beliefs weren't normal or right, and that awareness and curiosity about myself is what started the process. i slowly started to be able to put my hectic brain to use and start gathering more practical knowledge. my relationships are what keep me grounded and connected to the world, and my loved ones are quick to reassure me when i need it, or talk things through with me, for which i will forever be grateful. i think it's pretty self-explanatory that these are very virgoan and piscean concepts, lol. in a nutshell, the traits and experiences of the duplicated signs help you to rebuild the qualities of the intercepted signs in a healthier way, and bring balance back into your chart.

are they bad? i would say that interceptions are a challenge. they are painful, and can be hard to deal with. they take time to master; i'm nowhere near done with my own interception 'journey', and i've been at it for years. but a birth chart is a blueprint, a list of potentials, and we have all the tools in that list to rise to these challenges. learning to heal interceptions makes for a fuller experience of life and accessing more of our own potentials. that being said, some things just suck for no reason at all, and interceptions definitely fit that bill. it's okay to mope about them from time to time.

a note on house systems: not all charts or house systems will show interceptions. if you were born very close to the equator, your houses will most likely be very even, and systems like equal houses or whole signs cannot express interceptions. i work mostly in placidus, and so this post is geared towards that house system, but it's always a fun learning experience to look at your chart through different house systems and note down the differences and what that might mean to you :-)

This set is pretty self-explanatory: In each story one of the boys is a (reluctant) pet and the other one has no idea about the identity of their new companion. All of them are humorous and unusual explorations of the dynamic between Draco and Harry.

Owl Was Well made me snort out loud on the public transport (multiple times), He Was He and I was Bunny is charming and sprinkled the exactly right amount of angst and Ain't No Friend Of Mine is hilarious, witty, dark and surprisingly profound. Enjoy!

this is the post in reference if anyone is curious !!

as a preface, i'm taking both their treatment of their darling and some of their personal story into account.

first circle (limbo): kazuha, diluc, giorno

limbo would encapsulate yanderes who treated their darlings 'well' compared to the other shmucks present. in the case of characters like kazuha and diluc, more so the former than the latter, they feel what they're doing is for their darling's benefit. in life, they granted their darling the most amount of autonomy, comparatively speaking.

second circle (lust): scaramouche, hisoka

the second circle is about yearning for their darling's physicality, although the two examples given are here for vastly different reasons. scaramouche envied his darling's actual and proverbial 'heart' in life, the blood that ran through their veins, the air in their lungs. hisoka has no artsy reason for being here. he just lusted after his darling's body in the most literal sense.

third circle (gluttony): ??? (still unsure who to put in this category)

fourth circle (greed): pantalone 

this is probably one of the aforementioned obvious picks. in life, alongside their heinous pursuit for their darling, they wanted to line their coffers while disregarding the well-being of others. pantalone all but drowned his darling in luxury that they never asked for. 

fifth circle (wrath): pannacotta fugo, phinks

the fifth circle encapsulates its namesake pretty well... essentially, these yanderes were ruled by their most negative emotions. primarily anger. whether it be unfair jealousy or insecurities from within that manifested in outbursts of rage. 

sixth circle (heresy): dottore, albedo, chrollo, johan (anon pointed out that johan would be a good fit for this squad)

those whose beliefs/actions have defied ‘god’ or the ‘divine’. dottore likely needs little explanation, but for albedo, his mere existence blurs the line between creation and human. his mastery over alchemy and penchant for uncovering truths that are better left unknown would earn him his place here. chrollo and johan both have belief systems that are the antithesis of the divine. 

seventh circle (violence): feitan, illumi, childe

another self-explanatory circle, probably. these individuals lived either for the rush found in decimating their fellow man, or reaping the benefits that came from participating in the carnage. the threat of violence also loomed over their darling, whether or not they actually had any reason to fear it being enacted on them. 

eighth circle (fraud): kaeya, dainsleif, bucciarati

the eighth circle is dedicated to falsifiers. in a way, yanderes who represent themselves to their darling one way while being someone completely different could all technically fit into this category. bucciarati became a traitor to passione and undoubtedly betrayed his darling’s expectations of who they thought he was going to be. 

ninth circle (treachery): DIO, alucard

those whose life is a stain in the eyes of the divine in every conceivable way. dio with his betrayal + continual terrorizing of his adopted family through generations, then with his concept of achieving heaven. alucard switched from being a proliferator for god to rejecting the notion of him entirely. their twisted ideals sought to change/rot their darling’s morality.

DESCRIPTIONS

The Star is several purple geometric shapes, appearing to stick out of directions that can't quite be seen. They vary between being 3D and 2D, although that might simply be a result of changing your perspective and not actually them varying. If you touch them you will lose the ability to listen to Weezer songs, a band universally hated by Primordial Janitors.

The Chariot is an incredibly large container. What kind of container? Whichever kind you last thought of. What does it contain? Whatever you think it contains. I cannot describe what it looks like if you haven't thought of a container. Please don't ask me to. If you have never thought of a container before then looking at it will turn you inside out.

The Hermit is an inversion of colour that functions similar to a shadow, covering anything directly behind it. It is shaped like... Well, actually, it's honestly impossible to tell what it's supposed to be outside of the fact that everyone gets the impression it's not supposed to be made of metal. Looking at it for too long turns you colourblind until you recite the entirety of Moby Dick backwards.

Judgement is a glowing purple tower made of something very very smooth without any real texture. It has countless (As in if you get close to counting the actual quantity they multiply or reduce in number.) human legs sticking out of the bottom. It appears to be infinitely tall and is covered in strange black discs, possibly eyes? Its circumference is a number that is not a multiple of eight. Thinking about it for too long contorts you into an impossible shape that kills whoever looks at you. You become immortal, although you're also in constant agony for eternity.

Their voices all sound like what you expect them to sound like, unless you expect them to sound like any of the members of Weezer, then their voices do not sound like anything and instead cause you physical pain and erase your happy memories when they speak.

Mod has never listened to Weezer and thus cannot gauge an opinion.

Stormwatch Tower

Stormwatch Tower is a hero agency in the universe of The Heroes. It was founded, owned, and ran by Stormchaser and is her main base of operations. It is located in Kobe near Sannomiya.

Description

Unlike most hero agencies that look like regular office buildings, Stormwatch Tower looks like an observatory, complete with a telescope. Part of it is also a weather/astrology museum. The front doors are revolving, making for quite the entrance into work. Despite its unique structure, the building is very spacious and quite large.

The building has eight floors. On the first floor is the check in where agency workers sign in and museum visitors come to receive their tickets as well as offices for the rest of the agency workers (PR team, manager, etc) as well as museum curators.

The second floor is the museum. Originally, Stormchaser wanted to use the floor as a training area for her sidekicks but decided against it when she realized it would cause too much disturbance to the front desk clerk. After a talk with her PR team, she made it a museum to boost her reputation and as well as her popularity with the Kobe locals.

The third floor is the main attraction of the building: the telescope. A hatch on the roof will open when the telescope is activated. It is especially a sight at night. Stormchaser, her sidekicks, and the heroes who work under her also use the telescope when looking for escaped villains or monitoring suspicious activity from afar.

The rest of the floors are for the heroes and agency workers. The third floor is a gym and lounge area where the sidekicks, heroes, and office workers can either get a good workout or relax after a long day of work.

The fourth floor contains both the locker room and clinic. Pretty self explanatory.

The fifth floor is the lunchroom. Also pretty self explanatory.

The sixth, seventh, and eighth floors are the hero offices. Sixth floor is the floor where the offices of the individual heroes signed under Stormchaser. Seventh floor is where the sidekicks' offices are located. And finally the eighth floor is Stormchaser's personal office.

Members

Sorami Inoue | Stormchaser

The owner and leader of Stormwatch Tower. She started the agency after she leaves her brother SolFlare and doesn't renew her contract with him. Thanks to those years and being the "weather princess" to her brother's "sun prince", she had a lot of star power and was able to graduate to a Pro Hero early.

Agwè Hayes | Cyclone: A member of the Stormclouds, Stormchaser's sidekick group. Born and raised in Haiti, he grew up hearing stories of the urban legend Hurricanechaser and was inspired to pursue heroics because of her.

Tempest Shimizu | Tempest: Another member of the Stormclouds. They are the rogue of the group in that they prioritize stealth which is ironic because of their Quirk. When Stormchaser is not around, they are the unofficial leader of the team.

Stormi Miyashita | Squall: The cryptid of the Stormclouds. It is unknown how she came to join the group, but the public presumes it was because of a private study.

Zuriñe Haru | Forecast: Zuriñe is indeed a member of the Stormclouds. While not a field agent, she still plays an important role as she helps the others track down villains from the safety of the agency. Think of her as Oracle.

Ichiko Mizutani: Stormchaser's business manager both in and outside of heroics. She is both literally and figuratively the oldest member of the agency, having been with Stormchaser since she worked under her brother. Despite having worked with many a Pro Hero, Stormchaser seems to be her favorite since she hasn't had to clean up any messes from her (aka scandals and stuff).

Raikumo Kumosuku | Stratoshock: A Pro Hero signed under Stormwatch. She is actually one of Sorami's cousins and signed under her so she could get a better understanding of heroics (and also develop social skills at the behest of her mother).

Passion Mwzano: An intern for the agency. She is a young U.A. student and is very happy to be working under Stormchaser since they have the same power.

Who is your IGOR?

Tyler, the creator, is a well known artist for his eccentric presence on and off stage, not only visually in the way he dresses and the vibes he gives as a singer and as an entertainer, but also in the stories he tells. Since his 2007 album, Flower Boy, Tyler has changed the perception the audience has about his musical style, replacing the over the top and sometimes offensive rap with more emotional and personal lyrics. The level of maturity portrayed in his recent albums shows a production and quality never seen in his previous and less polished work. Nevertheless, his album IGOR is an even better example of Tyler's evolution, giving the listeners a tour through the mind of this particular and complex character, whose thoughts are shown in each song. 

This conceptual album begins with some sort of introduction of IGOR, with the song: “Igors Theme”, focusing on the sounds and instruments that give life to Igor. After this, “Earfquake” and “I Think” reveal the conflict within the characters mind, he is in love with a man, but he does not know if he loves him back. Over this, the listener can assume the presence of a third person, who makes Tyler jealous and produces an emotional dependence over his crush. The protagonist starts to realize that the person he loves has not accepted his sexulity, so the relationship they were building is quickly “running out of time”. This makes Tyler jealous, and all the toxicity of the situacion is perfectly portrayed in his more erratic song, “New Magic Wand”. His obsession culminates in “A Boy is a Gun*”, this track ends the first part of the album, in which Tyler starts to let go of his toxic relationship and gains consciousness of the power his lover has over him, comparing him with a weapon and accepting that he is as well a gun capable of the same harm. 

In his eighth track, Kanye West interpretes Tyler's voice of reason, some sort of guide throughout the turbulent times he is going through. Even if it hurts, the protagonist has to come back to his senses and recover from the situation, he has to stop being a “puppet” under the strings of the idyllic thought of his previous lover. Finally in “Whats Good”, Igor appears as a character in Tylers mind that represents his healthy ego, which helps him love himself back and rebuild his confidence. With this new perspective, Tyler can now analyze the consequences of the relationship, saying goodbye to the past and being thankful for it. His eleventh track is called “I Don't Love You Anymore”, which is pretty self explanatory. Now, Tyler understands that he still cares about his ex lover, but that does not mean that they should be together. His last song, “Are We Still Friends?” shows the desire of the protagonist to maintain a friendship with the person he loved, and by the melody and its flow, the listener can feel the character remembering and tressuring all the memories and past feelings, with nostalgia but not sadness. 

IGOR is a trip, not only throughout Tylers mind, but also through the listener's mind, by remembering own experiences and past lovers. The creator awakes feelings and memories in his audience by letting the notes and lyrics enter their ears and shaking their brains in less than an hour. Emotional uncertainty, fear, rage, sadness, self love and peace, Tyler, the Creator achieves to evoke a whole period of everybody's life without being selfish, by giving his fans the possibility to investigate their own psyche and discovering their own IGOR.

The Research and Facts

My Gender and Media Capstone projected is inspired by the Kardashian family, specifically, their impact on the beauty standard through the use of social media. My goal for this project is not to blame the Kardashian’s for the ever-changing beauty standard, but to highlight the way their use of social media has influenced society to desire a certain look and body type that for most, is naturally unattainable. I wanted to bring an awareness to just how harmful social media has proven to be on mental health, especially  on those who are young adults and teenagers. Since the 2010s, the use of social media has skyrocketed due to the creation of applications like Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, and Facebook. Unfortunately, the rise in social media use has also come hand-in-hand with a rise in photo editing as individuals turn to apps like Photoshop or Facetune to airbrush their faces, slim their waists, and make themselves seem curvier. With teens and young adults spending much of their free time on social media sites, they are being exposed to celebrities and influencers who look flawless and have the “perfect” looks. As of April 2022, three of the KarJenner’s hold the spot for the most followed accounts on instagram; Kylie (331 million) taking the third most followed, Kim (303 million) at eighth most followed, and Khloé (235 million) with the tenth most followers on Instagram. Not far behind is Kendall Jenner (233 million) at the eleventh most followed and finally, the oldest sister, Kourtney being the twentieth most followed person on Instagram with 169 million followers. With all of the Kardashian-Jenner sisters ranking in the top twenty of most followed Instagram users, it is safe to say that they can be highly influential and definitely proven to be so. 

I wanted the design of my project to fit well with the theme of social media sites so I chose to make a Tumblr blog. Tumblr was my first choice because of how easy it is to implement different tabs and create separate pages. The homepage of the blog contains my final report, and on the left side of the page are four different links; Bibliography, Kylie, Kim, and Photoshop. Being the most self-explanatory, the first tab contains the information of my bibliography. The section labeled “Kylie” has the header “The Reality of Kylie” because I wanted to focus on moments where Kylie Jenner has opened up about her own struggle with insecurities to highlight a side of her that tends to be masked on social media. In different video clips, the youngest Jenner sister reveals feeling insecure over her lips, weight gain, and the way her body looks after giving birth to her daughter, Stormi. Kylie’s vulnerability shows those who watch her on the regular that she also has bad days where she doesn’t feel confident about the way she looks and that all the makeup, fillers, and money in the world cannot always change those feelings. Similarly, I created a tab for Kim Kardashian which highlights her insecurities about her psoriasis, her weight gain after having two children, and how being curvy was a struggle at the beginning of her career. The final tab included on my Tumblr page is titled “Photoshop Fails” and it includes a few different examples of the Kardashian sisters very obviously editing their photos. As I state on the page, including their Photoshop mishaps is not meant to tear them down in any way but instead, it is meant to show their viewers that even some of the most followed women in the world do not look as toned and flawless in real life as they do on Instagram. It is crucial for young adults and teens to learn that social media does not equal reality and for those who can afford it, an attractive body and face can be bought or edited on quickly and easily. Being seen as attractive and having desirable bodies has definitely helped the Kardashian sisters rise to fame and through the use of social media, they ended up gaining an influential power that has changed the societal definition of beauty drastically. 

In order to understand how drastically the beauty standard has changed and just how influential the Kardashian sisters prove to be, it is necessary to review different facts and data. Prior to the 2010s when the Kardashians became a household name, the ideal physique was that of Paris Hilton or Kate Moss. Men doted over and women desired that tall, thin, model-like body which was seen all over television, magazines, clothing stores, and more. An hourglass figure and fuller assets were not sought after the way they are today, in-fact, women that were curvier were seem as “heavier” and less attractive. When Kim Kardashian began to show up more in the public eye and “Keeping up with the Kardashians” premiered in 2007, society’s opinions about “curvier,” “fuller,” or “thicker” women began to transform. In a 2013 essay about the family, The Kardashian Phenomenon: News Interpretation, author Amanda McClain confirms this transformation of body standards by writing; “Throughout the press coverage there is a consistent focus on the Kardashian sisters' body image, with particular emphasis on Kim Kardashian' s build. Kim is hailed as representative of a fuller figure than has been popular in the recent past. According to The Sydney Sunday Telegraph, "There's little doubt that the sexy reality television star brought curves back into style this year with her pneumatic figure.” Just less than a decade later, Kim Kardashian’s body type has become a sort of blueprint for other celebrities, upcoming influencers, designers, models, and your average, everyday person. Unfortunately, Kim’s body type is not as naturally and easily achievable for some, creating a lot of insecurities and societal pressures for people to succumb to fillers, plastic surgery, or both. 

The audience that the Kardashian family has does not only include the millions of Instagram followers they each have, but it also includes the audience of “over four million people per episode” when “Keeping up with the Kardashians” was airing on the network, E!, until June of 2021. (Sood 2017) For fourteen years and twenty seasons, along with numerous spin-off shows, the Kardashians remained on our television screens weekly and now they remain on our social media feeds daily as there is not a single day that one of the sisters is not sharing a photo or video online. Since so much of the sister’s lives have been shared over the past decade, audiences can easily feel as though they know and relate to them, giving them the false sense of security that the Kardashians would not alter or edit their bodies without being open and honest about it. While the Kardashians have shared much of their lives, they have each also become very well known for their bodies and to be honest about having work done or using Photoshopping tools would take away the illusion and fantasy they are attempting to portray. The family is well aware of the power they hold for the way they look as Kim was questioned about her frequent nudity on CNN and responded, "It's a part of my personality, for sure, and I definitely play it up a lot” Kim explained in another source, "It's definitely powerful" [being a sex symbol].” (McClain 2013) Kim’s confidence with her sexuality and being able to flaunt her body is admirable in itself but it is also a part of the reason why the beauty standard had transformed to begin with. 

Society began to notice the beauty ideals changing once beauty and business began to blend together. As each of the sister’s began to gain more fame and popularity, audiences realized just how much attention the family receives simply for being attractive and Simon references this in their article, Unrealistic Standards of Beauty and Examples of Self-Obsession: The Kardashians; “They create a social stigma prioritizing appearance over personality. Setting an unrealistic standard of beauty, women feel they have to replicate this look to be successful or liked. Because these women have become so successful partly due to their beauty and the way they market themselves to the public, women will associate the importance of beauty with success.” By creating the idea that being attractive equals success, society is implementing a very dangerous and harmful mindset that leaves people of all genders and ages feeling pressurized to look as good as the celebrities and influencers on Instagram. To put into further perspective just how much time people spend on their phones looking at themselves, researchers found that the “average millennial takes over 25,000 selfies in his or her lifetime.” (Paul 2018) At the same time as individuals are taking selfies and examining their features to find any flaw possible, they are also spending a lot of their time examining the “perfect” selfies taken by the KarJenners, forced to question why their skin isn’t that smooth or how every part of bodies can look so toned and thin. Social media sites have caused comparison to truly become the thief of joy because you are constantly exposed to people who are praised for the way they look and overtime, it is nearly impossible to not question what the difference between yourself and others are when they are adored, successful, and borderline worshipped for their looks. As we hit the middle of the 2010s, the Kardashians were becoming even more famous as they each began to start their own brands, Kim had just married Kanye West and welcomed their firstborn, North, and the youngest sister, Kylie, was creating quite the controversies over her changing looks. 

Now that society realized that social media, particularly Instagram, was not just a trending app for a short period of time and was actually here to stay, the sites were becoming a highlight reel of people’s best moments and photos rather than a place to share the small or silly moments of your days. Researchers came to the conclusion that approximately 90% of adolescents use social media daily and usually for more than two hours per day. (Ridpath 2019) These statistics become more concerning and are seen less as “normal teen behaviors” when scientists put into perspective that; “Teenage girls are vulnerable to the upward comparison as it means that they need to improve their beauty standards, thereby leaving them dissatisfied with their physical bodies, having doubts about their self-worth and also driving them to self-harm behavior.” (Henriques, Patnaik 2020) Over the last couple of years, cosmetic procedures and body dissatisfaction are hitting alarming rates, with girls of just thirteen years old finding interest in and going through with different surgical changes. Doctors have reported that teens are showing an increased interest in botox and other injectables, which they attribute to their social media feeds where they are seeing celebrities with lip and cheek fillers. Roughly 229,000 cosmetic procedures were done on patients aged 13-19 in 2017 alone, jumping cosmetic surgery procedures up 11% and the patients spending upwards of $6.5 billion. (Paul 2018) Society has reached a point where any slight insecurity can be changed with a single doctor’s appointment. Unfortunately, such mindsets fix physical insecurities but still leave people feeling dissatisfied with themselves. A result of social media that was not considered enough before each site was created is the way it effects the mental health of its users because of the images they are exposed to on a regular basis. Henriques and Patnaik discussed the dangers of social media and photo editing in their research, stating, “Unrealistic images of feminity, beauty, success and body shape promoted through social media images are associated with development of eating disorders and body dissatisfaction disorders."

In 2015, the youngest Kardashian-Jenner sister, Kylie, received lip injections because of her own insecurities and debuted her new look on Instagram. Being the youngest of the family, Kylie definitely has an influential power over the younger generations that the other sisters do not and her new lips sparked a chain reaction. Dr. Leah Totton remembers reporting a “70% rise in lip filler enquiries in the last 24 hours,” once Kylie revealed her look and Dr. Maryam Zamani remembers that, “We received a higher number of enquiries late last night and today than we would normally have.” (Akbareian 2015) It is difficult to deny the influence Kylie and her older sisters have had on beauty after researchers observed: “significant increase in TV programs on cosmetic surgery influenced a younger female audience to engage in such procedures. In particular, the author reported that females were more likely to consider cosmetic procedures due to dissatisfaction with their appearance shaped by exposure to reality TV programs.” (Sood 2017) Besides an increase in lip fillers, the overall statistics for cosmetic procedures reports an increase of 279% since 1997 and women between the ages of 17-24 were surveyed and 35% of respondents had already engaged in a cosmetic procedure. (Sood 2017) For the first time in years, the mixture of reality television and social media had ushered in a new wave of beauty that is just as exclusive as the previous beauty standards have been. Beauty was not only seen as a marker of success, but it became people’s main concern as individuals like the Kardashians and other social media influencers have created entire careers because of being attractive. Reality television and social media created an environment that allows anyone to gain fame and recognition if they fit a certain standard, which convinced many people to start transforming themselves to fit that mold. Doctors recall patients showing them images of Kylie Jenner or other influencers to cite inspiration for cosmetic procedures and Stafford Broumand responds; “These kids don’t realize those people have been filtered, and morphed and Photoshopped,” he said. “That is part of the education and discussion process that we go through before anything is done. We are trying to look out for them for their lifetimes and not just for the moment.” (Paul 2018) 

Deprogramming all of the toxic thoughts social media and reality television has implemented into the minds of adults, young adults, and teenagers would take years to do. Social media would have to become a place of honest and transparency, rather than a constant competition of “who looks best?” Celebrities and influencers would also have to take accountability for the body and beauty images that they promoted along with society as a whole. The Kardashian family could have helped promote a healthier beauty standard due to their influence that focuses on natural beauty or at least creates more conversations about insecurities, rather than helping form a beauty standard that has caused a dramatic increase in cosmetic procedures. The sisters could have even been honest about their own procedures and use of Photoshop which would have informed people that their bodies and facial features do not naturally look as they do online. While the Kardashian family cannot be blamed for single-handily changing the beauty standards, their use of social media and their influential power has created a certain “desirable” body type and look which, as we know now, is usually only accomplished through procedures and Photoshop.

I've heard the theory that each of the twelve houses rules separate locations (twelve house = hospitals/health institutions type of deal) and was wondering if you could list out what location(s) each of the houses rule? I hope this wouldn't be too much trouble to ask of you because I can never figure out what location(s) houses like the first or the second or the tenth rules ... or even the eighth really ... and I couldn't find much information on this!

Good question, 

Obviously listing each single location would make this a monstrously sized list, but I’ll do ones that come to mind and maybe it’ll give you some clues on how to decide for yourself what house rules a specific type of location. 

I think there’s not a ton of information because the planets and signs kind of coincide with specific locations sometimes. Like for example, the 4th house rules over kitchens, but kitchens are also considered a fiery place and can be identified with Mars as well. 

I House

Your bedroom (just the room itself, not including your possessions or your bed. Just the fact that there are identifiers that make it your room.); East; Your birth place; Your favourite places. The locations the first house rules doesn’t extend outside of this vagueness because it rules over our perception of the present and therefore is with us everywhere we go.

Astrology of Sasuke, Itachi and Naruto: a semi-comprehensive analysis

I’ve been wasting away months of my life on this task and I’m finally reaching relatively passable results. This is the fruit of my labour thus far.

I really tried to be as unbiased as possible and keep several different interpretations of the characters in mind but I can’t guarantee that my personal feelings and opinions didn’t seep through to some extent (specially with regards to that whole genocide thing). I also don’t like some of these characters as “people” so I’ll warn you beforehand, I ended up bad-mouthing Naruto and Itachi a bit.

This post is broken up into four sections. 

Section one is a quick run up of the planets (only the ones I’ve been working on), houses and aspects. 

Section two is about the signs I’ve chosen for the characters, how I’ve chosen the degrees, and natal aspects. 

Section three is focused on degree interpretations. 

Finally, we will have a quick look at synastry and composite.

I’ve used equal temperament house system and cross check with placidus though because I don’t have Konoha’s longitude and latitude I’ve used Japan’s ones. Also, in this post we are assuming that Naruto’s planet is earth and their moon (and other planets) functions the same way as ours.

The degree interpretations are supposedly translations of La Volasfera published by Sepharia in 1898 (the translations. La Volasfera is older), Walter Henson’s interpretations and Kozminsky’s interpretation in that order. Keep in mind that they lived in different times and some of the things they say reaaallly reflects that.

For aspect and midpoint calculations, I couldn’t be bothered to calculate everything by hand so I wrote a short program for it; however, I didn’t debug much. It should work fine but just in case something slips by, I’m giving a warning. I also didn’t proof read so please excuse any mistakes.

Additional notes:

on a full moon sun opposite moon occurs. The moon would be 180-225 degrees away from the sun. 

during the last quarter phase, the moon is 270-315 degrees ahead of the sun (Sasuke was born on this phase). 

mercury is up to 28 degrees away from the sun and venus is up to 48 degrees away from the sun.

aspect between sun and moon could denote how you perceive the relationships between your father figure and mother figure.

neptune retrograde happens every year when neptune is opposite sun.

plutonian relationships tend to be controlling, obsessive, disrespectful, painful and manipulative but can be transformative and life-changing.

neptunian relationships and about falling for an idealized image and not seeing things for what they are, rose coloured glasses, a feeling of betrayal and disillusionment once those glasses are shattered, forgiving easily, lack of boundaries in both good and bad ways, worshiping someone and putting them on a pedestal and never seeing them for what they are (humans), overlooking vices that shouldn’t be over looked, ...

both neptunian and plutonian relationships can manifest in nice ways but generally they tend to not do that as both people involved would have to be quite “evolved”, mature and level-headed for that among other things.

Section Two: natal signs and aspects

We will start this section with Sasuke, then we will have a look at Itachi and then Naruto. I’ve checked to make sure that it is mathematically possible (though I didn’t get into retrograde cycles much) for the characters to have these placements both on their own and relative to each-other. 

I put a picture of each character’s natal aspects and wrote which degree I used. If it is between several possible degrees I wrote it in orange, otherwise, it's green. I didn’t discuss the aspect interpretations much because this post would become far too long if I did. I also used pretty wide orbs because the exact degrees weren’t certain but the overall range was extremely likely.

Sasuke’s planets and house placements:

Ascendant: Capricorn 21-22 or 23-34 degrees

Sun: Leo 0-1 degrees (7th)

Moon: Taurus 22-23 degrees (4th) 

Mercury: Leo 12-13 degrees (7th)

Venus: Cancer 15 degrees (6th)

Mars: Scorpio 12 degrees (10th)

Saturn: Cancer 28-29 degrees (7th)

Neptune: Libra 4-5 or 5-6 degrees (8th)

Pluto: Aquarius 10-11, 13-14, 15-16 or 18-19 degrees (1st)

His sun was decided by the author and fits him quite well so there is no need for speculation. Sun in the 7th seems iffy but he does only go for people he respects, deems as reliable/competent and all that (that sun-saturn conjunction in the 7th house) and some of his identity is based on his interpersonal relationships. He also has that passive, non-confrontational way about him where people intrude on his personal space and disregard his boundaries all the time and he really doesn’t react as strongly as one would expect.

There seems to be a common consensus about his Ascendant in the anime astrology community. It is also worth noting that capricorn ascendants are often mistaken as scorpios for some reason. He is driven, comes across as standoffish and serious, has a slight aloof way about him, it puts his mars in the 10th and his moon in the 4th which is perfectly him, ... (I actually considered cancer ascendant for him at first because he had those doe eyes, soft features, youngish face, paler than his brother/father, family oriented, ... but I was torn between that and capricorn and everyone said capricorn so capricorn it is.) 

With regards to his moon, as I’ve already mentioned in my previous posts, I saw how Naruto was born on a full-moon and how the relationship between his parents had that masculine-feminine polarization and some other things and decided to put his moon in aries and if we were to calculate Sasuke’s moon with consideration to the moon’s average speed and the time between his birth-date and Naruto’s, we get moon in taurus (3rd decan, in his 4th house), and the degree will be explained in the third section but the house placement is apparent, given that Sasuke’s heart and comfort has always been with family, home and roots (clan). The cancer one also works because, again, heart with family and an innate gentleness and the 6th house can bring a need to be of use and good organization skills and an attention to order, efficiency and good dietary habits which he certainly does posses. 

Mercury in Leo is self explanatory. It’s either this or cancer and his style of communication is blunt, straightforward, sarcastic, confident, direct and to the point, dramatic, ... and his learning style matches leo more than cancer.

Venus in cancer is one that I doubted quite a good deal and there isn’t a common consensus about it either. The options are gemini, cancer, leo and virgo. I’ve heard mostly leo and virgo but I personally think Cancer in the 6th house makes more sense than in Virgo in the eight. This is based on his aesthetic sense, my understanding of his values and his love style with the only person whom I’m 100% sure he loves (his brother). He really needed quality time to feel loved, he valued competence (6th house) and family (cancer), he cared about receiving compassion from loved ones more than many of the other characters, he expressed affection mostly through acts of service (6th house), he was verbally expressive and hugged his brother and all that so he wasn’t that distant or somber in his approach to expressing affection in general (cancer), he got sulky when his brother refused to spend time with him and pouted and blushed a lot (cancer), ...

Mars in scorpio is another thing where everyone is of the same opinion and it falling into the 10th house makes it even more fitting as he will be very driven and hyper focused on one thing and he can also spend a very long time not having anything to do with fun or sex or any of that. The 10th house is disciplined, it delays, it makes thing serious and it has much to do with self-restraint. This placement is very action oriented and Sasuke is exactly that (he doesn’t spend time just thinking about doing things or just talking about them, he does them).

Saturn in cancer aspecting both his sun and venus. He was only expressive and affectionate with people he was comfortable with and his relationship with his father and authority figures and his general demeanor practically scream saturn in hard aspect to sun. Misfortune in the home and family life and a rigid upbringing (military parents) which saturn in cancer can bring are also there.

Pluto is a generational planet but I’m convinced that it falls into Sasuke’s first house. He constantly attracts plutonic people, he has a mildly plutonic energy himself and if it’s there, it aspects a ton of his planets which would mean that in his relationships with people of his own generation, he would have a pluto heavy synastry (composite is a different matter). 

The aspects didn’t quite turn out how I wanted but they do make sense in my opinion and he has that grand cross with pluto, moon, mars and mercury which is just perfect. His heart, his head, and his drive are all in conflict and there is quite a bit of intensity, issues related to power and control, ... involved.

Itachi’s planets and house placements:

Ascendant: Virgo 20-21 or 26-27 degrees

Sun: Gemini 17-18 degrees (9th)

Moon: Scorpio 20-21, 21-22, 24-25 or 26-27 degrees (3rd) 

Mercury: Cancer 6-7 or 11-12 degrees (10th)

Venus: Taurus 6-7 or 8-9 degrees (8th)

Mars: Taurus 1-2, 3-4, 14-15, 16-17, 18-19, 24-25 or 28-29 degrees (8th)

Saturn: Taurus 24-25 degrees (9th)

Neptune: Virgo 23-24 degrees (1st)

Pluto: Aquarius 2-3 (I chose this but It still isn’t concrete enough, the last one also works), 5-6, 7-8 or 10-11 degrees (5th)

Again, his sun is canon and very fitting. Sun in the 9th house of philosophy and all that also fits his interests (this doesn't say anything about his competence). 

He is very into that whole “I’ve plan everything” and he talked waaay too much about perfection and all that for him to not have some sort of strong virgo/6th house. His ascendant in virgo puts the house cusps in nice places too. I’ll copy this part from my previous post on the subject. 

I considered virgo rising for him (but I’m not particularly attached to this idea)  since that would put scorpio as his 3rd house (intense relationship with siblings) capricorn (ruled by saturn which is restrictions and stuff) on his 5th (fun, children and all that), gemini on 10th (can easily change their persona and know by the general public as intelligent), taurus on 9th (likes philosophy and all that, tends to have different beliefs from what he was raised with (likely by family) and can be very stubborn about beliefs and once he finds them, is very unlikely to change them) and some other stuff.

Moon in Scorpio because I calculated and given the distance between his birthdate and Sasuke’s (if they are 5 years apart) his moon would either fall in sagittarius or scorpio and honestly, I think scorpio fits him more. 

Mercury in cancer because he’s somewhat verbally non-confrontational (would rather deflect and run away, in his case he does that with lies and that stuff) and passive-aggressive and speaks in a vague way instead of just getting to the point and being clear and concise and he’s good at emotional talk in a sense (although that doesn’t necessarily mean he is comfortable with it).

venus in taurus because when he isn’t busy being genocidal or dishonest, he likes some pretty taurusian things like hanging out at traditional coffee shops and getting some sweets. He’s also aesthetically very close to his root (traditional japanese stuff) in terms of preference and taurus likes the familiar. 

I calculated his mars and saturn sign after deciding Sasuke’s mars and saturn. It does match him in a way though. He has a taurusian feel in a way and he really seems to adore the look of security and stability (even when it’s not really there). Venus and mars in 8th because of his fascination and acceptance of the morbid, death and human nature. Also he has an inclination towards extremism in both his actions and adorations (that isn’t the same as being showy though).

Neptune in first because he obviously would have neptune in first. Those acting skills, a habit of dishonesty, being extremely inconsistent and unknowable, weak constitution, slow and lethargic movements, ... He has one of the worst manifestations of neptune in first in my opinion. And he should have more Than one planet in virgo.

Pluto in aqua in 5th solely because of sasuke and calculations, not because of what it says about him (though I also took synastry into account).

Naruto’s planets and house placements:

Ascendant: Leo 1-2, 3-4 or 5-6 degrees

Sun: Libra 17-18 degrees (3rd)

Moon: Aries 12-13, 13-14, 16-17, 17-18 or 20-21 (9th or 10th depending on house system)  or taurus 24 or 28 (10th)

Mercury:  it’s between virgo (2nd), libra (3rd) and scorpio (4th)

Venus: Libra 23-24 or 26-27 degrees (3rd)

Mars: sag 24-25, 25-26 or 29 degrees (5th)

Saturn: Leo 8-9 degrees (1st)

Neptune: Libra 6-7 or 7-8 degrees (3rd)

Pluto: same as sasuke since pluto is a generational planet and their birthdays aren’t that far apart (7th)

His sun is also canon.

His ascendant in leo makes sense because he was born late at night on the 10th of October and he has that leoish persona. There really isn’t much to say here, he embodies it. He has big movements, flamboyance, an outgoing “sunshine”y demeanour, ego-driven, loves to make everything about himself, ...

Moon in the 10th because his emotional security and self-worth and all that are very tied to what the general public thinks of him and he tries to achieve that through his career. Moon in aries and moon in taurus both fit him and the anime astrology community is also divided on this.

For mercury I have no clue. 

His venus could be in virgo, libra, leo, scorpio or sagittarius. I calculated venus in libra from Sasuke’s venus in cancer and then I looked at the degrees and plenty of them fit Naruto and he does have the power of charm so I just left it at that. I eventually narrowed the degrees a bit and found a range I’m comfortable with (in terms of both aspects and degree interpretations).

I used to think his mars makes harsh aspects to both his moon and pluto but it could be just one of them, in the end it ended up being neither of them. I calculated his mars sign from Sasuke’s mars and sag in the 5th seemed pretty fitting specially since his hobby was pranking people and he is a bit of a trickster, his earlier battles also had some creativity.  I used to think his mars is in taurus but it didn’t work out. And honestly he talks about working hard more than he actually works so mars in the 10th was kind of off either way.

Saturn was also calculated based on Sasuke but saturn in leo works pretty well. He got reprimanded for his “fun” and he has a lot of self-esteem issues and simultaneously has a bloated ego and a pretty low opinion of himself. He was so insecure that he had no problem taking credit for other peoples work so there is that. Saturn conjunct ascendant can cause people to have a hard time expressing their true self, often receiving criticism for the way they present themselves/the way they are, they can also often feel like no one will every truly love/like them (as people).

Pluto in the 7th house is extremely fitting for him, in fact, I would go so far as to say that I can’t imagine it anywhere else. He’s controlling, he’s manipulative, he’s possessive, obsessive, he’s all about taking what he wants/needs from relationships while not giving an iota of care to what the other party wants or needs, he’s stalkerish, ... he manifests pluto in the 7th house in one of the worst possible ways. 

Section Three: degree interpretations

Like the previous section, we will start with Sasuke and make our way to Itachi and then Naruto.

SASUKE

Moon: 22-23

It signifies one who will suffer misfortune in the height of his career and whose fall will be dangerous in proportion to the height he has attained. The native will be too apt to depend on his own powers and will essay feats which will be beyond his natural powers. Ambition will lead him into dangerous positions, and at a weak moment he will fall. Let this be taken as equally affecting his physical, moral, and social welfare. It is a degree of COLLAPSE.

Doctors; art; projecting and the arts; medical fields; painting; homicidal tendency; alcoholism; has some unique quality (affected, may be an abnormal trait); an enthusiast who can inspire others with his plans, but thy may not always be successful; teeth.

Denotes one with strength of purpose and ability to sustain trials. The Dragon is lust, corruption, end the cold moistures of the earth. St. Michael is the life, solar energy, conqueror of decay; the black rain the evil which corruption draws. So when the native realizes his soul force he becomes a veritable victor over the monster into whose jaws so many unwarned and unguarded fall. It is a symbol of Victory.

Venus: 15-16

It indicates a person of much tenacity and strength of purpose; who by dint of extreme power, whether physical or mental, will overcome his greatest and most terrible enemies. The native will have much to contend with in life, and will encounter many dangers; but, as indicated, will finally overcome them. Together with this native strength, there may be blended a softness and gentleness of manner, which may induce others to attempt an advantage over him; but those Philistine who may have this Samson out (shorn and eyeless though he be) to make sport with him will rue the day. It is a degree of CONQUEST.

Business; music; good at mathematics, writing, or making money; a fortunate degree; taciturn; blindness or defective eyesight; gastric nerves.

Denotes one who is entrusted with a high mission and who is deeply inspired, having a spirituality entirely serene. To him has the mandate “Co forth and teach the people” been echoed from the heavens. He will be granted power and influence, so that the people will hear him call. The evidences of this peculiar mission are made manifest in his twelfth year and mature between the twenty-fourth and thirty-sixth years. It is the symbol of the Inspired.

Saturn: 28-29

It indicates a person of docile and tractable nature, combined with a certain subtlety of mind and high order of intelligence. One who will be held in restraint by others, or whose freedom will be taken by the hand of Fate and the force of circumstances. Although thus held in check, the native will be subject to dangers of an unknown character from secret enemies and jealous foes, and will be in peril of an untimely end. It is a degree of forced RESTRAINT.

An interesting person but sometimes unreliable and uncertain, conscious awareness of hair, often acts on inspiration or impulse; spleen.

Denotes one liable to be bound soul and body, who will be restricted in action and desire. But even so he may yet release his true self and meet the force flowing from the fountain head. Sun: 0-1

Mars: 12-13

Neptune:

4-5

5-6

It denotes one very unfortunate, who will be constrained to severe and hard work for a certain period of his life. The native is patient, enduring, and capable of much self-government. In the end he will assuredly reap the reward of his labors, It is a degree of LABOUR.

Comparison; cruelty; homicidal tendency, sometimes a critical or top heavy mentality; apt to be fickle and indecisive; works hard for a living; degree of fear; pubis.

Denotes one of an artistic nature and a plodding but powerful disposition who is called to do work of a pioneering nature. He is an advocate of force, and the discipline with which he has been bended he would use on others. It is a symbol Pioneering.

Ascendant:

21-22

This symbol belongs to one that is capable of arduous and protracted labors. His inherent force of character will carry him through all difficulties and beyond all obstacles. He is endowed with much definition of purpose, determination and incisiveness, so that he will make headway against all obstructions and cut out a line in life for himself. He will in all probability find the recompense of his labor in association with agricultural projects, and in the utilization of old and waste materials, it is a degree of DETERMINATION.

A scholarly degree; active mind; persistent in his efforts; studies the past to guide him in his future; usually has more than one hobby; music; muscle endings.

Denotes one whose power is directed to the uplifting and advancement of his race—a stayer of war and strife, of plague and riot. He looks directly ahead, far ahead into the years to come when the new sun will illuminate the glory of a new age of gold. It is a symbol of Renewing.

23-24

This denotes a steadfast and capable person, whose life will be orderly and useful, whose mind will be open to the reception of truth and knowledge and whose passions will be well regulated. He will display a frank and even blunt nature, being free from all craftiness and subtlety; and his mind will have a sincere regard for all that is simple and natural in human nature, and a rooted distrust of the non-transparent. It is likely that he will be disposed to seek his livelihood in the vineyard or hostel, but in the highest capacity he can be will aspire to become a teacher and purveyor of spiritual truths. In any case, he is a man of the common walk and his sympathies are with the people. It Is a degree of SINCERITY.

A blunt, steadfast, and militant person; music; gastric ulcer; from upper to lower legs.

Denotes one who will escape three great dangers by reason of a faith which draws to him the protection of the higher Powers. The most threatening is the third danger, but his faith is proof against this also. Pluto:

10-11

This symbol is related to one in whose nature there is more force and energy than power of direction and self-restraint, and who in consequence will be continually running into dangers which to him will be wholly unforeseen though obvious enough to others. He will rely upon his strength and pushfulness to overcome his enemies, but it will be shown to him that there is nothing so insignificant as the strength of a man. 15-16

Oil producing, literature; appreciation of the beautiful; the artist; often prominent in charts of those who have achieved literary eminence; judicial with good mentality and mathematical ability; fond of sports, music or reading; usually suited to law, finance, statistics, or literary work; lymph vessel of left lower leg.

Denotes one of a trusting spiritual nature who will have trials in life threatening and bitter, and who will often be storm-driven and held in the grip of hard circumstances. This denotes a person of an amiable and pleasant disposition, friendly to all, and beloved of his kinsmen. One who desires peace and concord, and who will meet with success through the intervention of some female friend. It is a degree of AMITY.

Oratorical ability; electricians; poets; children; a romantic degree; with Virgo-Pisces novelists; with Leo-Aquarius or Gemini-Sagittarius poets; often connected with tragedies of violence in either the chart of the attacker or the victim. Associated with divorce and separations; sexual emotionalism; linked with sexual problems; nerve connections.

Denotes sympathy. Many times will the native stumble and fall by the way, but ever will there be a bright light before him to dispel the darkness of the night and to dissipate his fears. The mind is aspiring, but to reach its ideal, pain and struggle are involved. The native must not falter, for very nigh unto him is his hope—a little sacrifice and endeavor will unite him to it. Sometimes have theories and ideas of doubtful value; homicidal tendency; alcoholism; women with planets here are usually intuitive, poetic, lively, and flirtatious; men careful with their money; lower jaw.

Denotes one of natural talent who will be beset with difficulties in gaining recognition, but whose mental strength will be the more determined because of them. When his time comes his power will be felt. He will force acknowledgment by sheer ability and energy. It is a symbol of Premeditation.

28-29

It signifies a tyrant, who takes delight in power apart from its uses, and whose opinions are bigoted and selfish. To rule, without regard to qualifications, is the passing ambition of one born under this degree. Death, which frees the slave, will bind the hands of a tyrant in irons forged from his own heart. It is a degree of DESPOTISM.

Good organizing ability; strong will; usually magnetic, proud and stoical; heavy drinking; suicide; a degree giving “something to cry about”; Trapizius.

Denotes one who is continually beset with difficulties and who finds it hard at all times to decide his course of action. He is ever between forces of opposite natures, and is quite as likely to do the right thing as the wrong one. These conditions must be subdued by the steady cultivation of the will. It is a symbol of Embarrassment.

Ascendant:

1-2

It denotes a person of an extremely vacillating and uncertain disposition; weak. minded, and subject to be driven about from one opinion to another; generally moved by consent to prevailing sentiment, and incapable of any firm and independent decision. Denotes one who if saved from malefic planetary action is contented with little and is pleasant and kind to men and animals. His nature is devotional and sensitive, and is capable of obtaining knowledge from astral sources and atmospheric conditions. He influences others for good, spreading content in the halls of inharmony. It is a symbol of Harmony.

Neptune:

Mars:

24-25

It is the index of a mind that is given to excessive indulgence and undue enthusiasm in matters of a spiritual and mental nature; one who will follow out his projects regardless of consequence, impelled as it were by a species of mental intoxication. The substance and form of this symbol is allied to the higher nature, but should the carnal appetites gain an ascendancy over him, he will in all probability degenerate into a debauchee. Moderation should be his watchword even in spiritual things. It is a degree of EXCESS. 

Usually quick perception; remarkable memory; good imagination; condyle of right femur.

Denotes one of romantic mind, loving and leaning to the philosophy and thought of other days, in which he is a master. The forces play around him and attempts from the two worlds will be made to draw him from his deeper thoughts to the frivolity, folly, and transitory joys of earth. Many times will he be shaken, but his power is too great for sensual over comings. Instead he throws to the world the wine of life that those who are able may drink. It is a symbol of Spiritual Struggles.

25-26

This is the sign of one to whom appearances are apt to count or much, but who will nevertheless be possessed of a really deep and sympathetic nature. Fidelity and friendship will be prominent characteristics of his nature. Fidelity will be dexterous in the use of arms, apt in the imitation of mannerisms, and would make a capable actor,. being gifted with powers of dramatic. representation. Of a kind and sympathetic nature, he will readily attract friends, and yet few will know him for what he really is. It is a degree of IMITATION. 

Anarchism; literature; better for benefics than for malefics, which bring trouble through the opposite sex; associated with nervous troubles, especially in his speech, if afflicted by Mercury or Uranus, sometimes due to a glandular deficiency; tyrannical disposition; love of liberty; good mentality; inventive, intutive, and emotional; gout; neurasthenia; if conjunct or opposition an afflicted luminary or its afflicting planet; impaired eyesight, perhaps blindness.

Denotes one who is attracted to the sport and gaieties of life, and to whom physical pleasures constitute the essence of existence. The native may indulge in extravagances and will feel the ups and downs of life. His philosophy favors the pursuit of happiness, and his mental gifts will be directed to the furtherance of his thoughts. It is a symbol of Pleasure.

29-30

It is the symbol of mind that is capable of sustaining great and arduous work, one to whom some of the dark secrets of Nature will be revealed. He may show some taste for agriculture culture or may follow the fortunes of some great mining industry or archaeological research, and in such he will be a discoverer. Whatever his walk in life, his work will be difficult and protracted, but success will ultimately crown his labors. Clairvoyance; imitators; aptitude for studying human nature; angina pectoris; large or peculiar teeth; especially if on the Ascendant; wants to be the “head man” unless a benefic is here; good intellect; sometimes art ability but better suited to commercial enterprises; gives an immoral; mean; slovenly nature; pear-shaped muscle.

Denotes one of active mental power who is indispensable to his friends and a thorn to his enemies. He is capable of seeing events far in advance of their materialization and counts the years of human progress in its pendulum-like motion. He has in him a strong spirit of fight and a feeling of naught else but victory. It is a symbol of Supremacy.

Pluto : Same as Sasuke.

Section Four: Synastry and composite

Based on the degrees I used for natals, I drew up a composite chart and a synastry chart for sasuke and itachi as well as for sasuke and naruto but I wont be providing interpretations since that would make this post far too long. Note that some of these aspects might be wrong as not all degrees are certain.

Before we get started let me just clarify the difference between synastry and composite. 

Synastry is conversations between different parts of people. An example would be if my mercury and your moon are in a nice harmonious aspect, I say something in my style of communication based on my thinking process, now you get what I’m saying at an emotional level because you feel the same way, your feeling process and my thinking process are similar, the way you express your emotions and the way I express my thoughts are close, so I get how you feel on a logical level and you get what I think on an emotional level. 

Composite is the overall, combined energy of the relationship. Lets say you have a very rational and to the point way of communicating but then you meet this person and with them, for some reason, as soon as you meet both of you seem to communicate in an emotional, passive-aggressive way (strongly aspected composite mercury in cancer). Or if you have tons of things in common with someone, you communicate in a similar way, you like the same things, but you just can’t seem to think of a single thing to say to them. You meet and your mind goes blank, there should be a world of things to talk about but literally nothing comes to mind, the conversation is dry and an absolute chore and then you look at that composite and there’s a tight saturn (restriction, block) conjunct mercury (communication) and everything makes sense. It also says things like why you got together (composite sun), how people perceive your relationship (composite ascendant), ...

So lets go see how these characters relate to each-other on a cosmic level.

edit: I removed the composite to natals part because they require extremely tight orbs so it’s kind of risky for something so uncertain.

Sasuke-Itachi synastry:

I forgot to erase that sun-sun semi-square (it’s out of orb) so just ignore it. Lots of harmonious saturn could lend itself to commitment and respect, lots of harmonious aspects to sasuke’s venus along with itachi’s sun in his 5th shows how fun and loving this relationship was for him (sasuke). Both their moons are getting lots of close aspects too. Those moon ascendant aspects and quick comfort and easy relating, an immediate emotional connection, Itachi’s mars aspecting Sasuke’s moon, ...

Sasuke-Itachi composite:

So this composite sun (purpose, nature of the relationship) in cancer (family) is perfect. I wonder if this was a coincidence or if Kishi really looked this up. Ascendant in scorpio is pretty nice as well. Plenty of neptune, lots of pluto, ... 

Composite sun in the eight very much paints their relationship, intense, obsessive, transformative and full of death (both metaphorical and literal). Composite moon in the third, communication is important to the health of their relationship and emotional security regarding it, ... There is plenty of stuff to unpack here so I’m not going get into it, specially since we don’t know much for certain.

Sasuke-Naruto synastry:

An interesting point here is that naruto’s moon would be in sasuke’s 4th house of family so that explains why he sees his family in him. Also, like I mentioned, plenty of harsh pluto, harsh mars-pluto giving lots of energy which if directed well, can contribute to good teamwork against outside forces and if not will lead to petty yet emotionally volatile arguments and controlling behaviour.

I put the ascendant opposition aspect there even though it’s out of orb because kishi went out of his way to make them opposites in the way they present/carry themselves and their aesthetic so this aspect would probably exist.

Sasuke-Naruto composite:

There are two extremely important personal planets missing here (jupiter and mercury) so the picture isn’t complete but based on what we have, we can tell quite a bit of the story.

Venus conjunct sun is a very good aspect which means the relationship makes the people involved in it feel good, have fun, ... Sun trine moon and venus trine moon are also great aspects to have so that’s nice. Mars trine saturn could make them more organized and better at acting together in a systematic way. Neptune trine mars could mean that they understand each other’s actions and drive (in a physical/tangible sense, not necessarily the reasons behind them) intuitively.

Sun square mars is similar to my previous point, lots of energy which will at best lead to working effectively together against outside forces and at worst will lead to violence, unhealthy rivalry/arguments and constant irritation. 

Mars-neptune, not seeing the nature of the relationship properly, delusion, illusion, escapism, an unwillingness to see the relationship for what it is, ... neptune-saturn and lack of proper boundaries. 

Ascendant in aries and the rival look, sun in virgo (coworkers, a work relationship), composite sun in the 5th, a fun, dramatic and creative relationship, composite moon in the first, projecting feelings about the relationship all over the place, it just can’t be hidden and the outside world sees you as emotionally tied together, perhaps more so than you actually are unless there are other strong moon aspects to personal planets, ...

One thing that is oddly not here is major pluto aspects, however, if lack of aspects to a planet in a composite chart is similar to a natal chart then it could make that planet’s themes more prominent because the energy has no proper outlet so it pops up everywhere.

How will you rank the Konoha 11 as adults (including Sai and Sasuke)

Well, this purely my opinion, without any bias or whatsoever. I will not include Neji because it would be unfair to rank his WA version with the others as adults. Also, he died before reaching his potential. Also, kindly note that most of them might be controversial takes.

01. Naruto Uzumaki

Baryon mode GG.

02. Sasuke Uchiha

According to the Boruto movie databook, he and Naruto were stated to be equal but Naruto has Baryon mode so he goes up. Even without Rinnegan, he is still above as he has the six paths chakra.

03. Rock Lee

He has been implied to have surpassed Might Guy and he can open the eighth gate as an adult.

04. Sakura Uchiha

Claimed to have surpassed Tsunade unlike what haters say. She finished off Shin in her base version as well.

05. Hinata Uzumaki

Wielder of Hamura Otsutsuki's chakra and didn't die after fighting the Otsutsukis.

06. Choji Akimichi

He was able to unlock the butterfly mode without the pills in war arc and he has been claimed to be the strongest man in Konoha.

07/08. Sai Yamanaka/Tenten

Sai was able to crush Toneri's crab in the last. He can even do sealing and unsealing efficiently. Tenten has the sage ninja tools and has access to 5 elemental natures via bashosen. Passing her as an adult because she could use the bashosen efficiently for four times in her WA version, so she must do it even after fifteen years when she is the top weapons user. Since both are sealers, they can be pretty interchangeable.

09. Kiba Inuzuka

Slapped 5 Juubi clones in a shot in war arc and destroyed an asteroid in the last with a new jutsu.

10. Shino Aburame

He can try beating some people above with tactics but lacks in force when compared to others. However, his giant bugs devoured the ten-tails clones. Also, his drunken version can only be countered by Hokage Naruto.

11. Shikamaru Nara

This would be the most controversial take of all, but however, I think he is a little overrated in my opinion. All because of his laziness and secondly, even his shadow possession have some limitations. They are mostly ideal for ambushes than even for one-to-one battles.

12. Ino Yamanaka

Pretty self-explanatory why she is here. I have seen people putting her above Tenten, but however Tenten has more power and combat skills in my opinion. Ino's mind transfer are ideal only for ambushes but not for one-to-one battles.

If I were to put a presumed adult Neji, he will surely be above Choji at the least.
