We are in the midst of September, and that is Scarecrow Season! This is the time of year where the scarecrows start to become self-aware! If you want to befriend a scarecrow, now is the time to enter your local cornfields and strike up a conversation about Grains! Of course, there is a limited time frame to do this. In October, the scarecrows will begin to believe everything the crows have been whispering to them, and decide to jump down from their posts and chase farmers with a scythe. I love autumn!
The dashing red-clothed scarecrow heading this post isn't just any effigy. In fact, you know him! You know him very well.
Does this fellow look familiar to you? This is Super Mario, from Super Mario Games on The Nintendo. What's he doing being a scarecrow? It's not his fault! It was a weird dog thing!
This is Belome, the weird dog thing, and he has some tricks up his metaphorical sleeve, my favorite of which is the ability to turn anyone into a scarecrow. He does this using a spell called S'crow Funk, a name I adore because it sounds like the COOL way of referring to scarecrows. The hip young farmers don't have time for any extraneous syllables! They see a scarecrow and say something like "Check out that s'crow, Tom!" But ol' Farmer Tom doesn't like the name shortening, because he loves scaring crows, more than he loves protecting his crops. He hates crows so much. I don't like that about him.
S'crow Funk is a real deal magic spell, with a rhyming incantation! It goes like this:
Stick for a body
Head full of straw
Give me a scarecrow, rah rah RAH!
Due to the "funk" in the name, I must assume this rhyme is accompanied by a funky beat. You can try invoking this yourself, but before you do, be courteous. Make sure your victim is okay with being made unable to attack normally, and only able to use magic attacks. Unless you're evil, in which case you will probably do it anyway. But I hope you're not evil. That would be Problematic!

No, still not Mario, even with his hat! If Mario throws Cappy onto a scarecrow, Cappy will stay on its head, and activate some sort of new platforming challenge. This is because if it weren't for the scarecrow, crows would eat all of the platforming challenges, and then there would be none for us to eat! Without scarecrows we would die!

I don't know If you already choose the character to write your fluff fic, but it's a little idea: reader/oc is a bit insecure and she doesn't know if her s/o truly loves her or not (It's a new relationship). Maybe because that day in particular her s/o was busy or tired and maybe was a little rude, but unintentionally! He could never, he loves her. But he was having a bad day. But she decided to say nothing. So, at night when they're in bed he starts talking in his sleep and he says something cute about her: I love you, I need you, idk something nice. And that's when she realises that he loves her ❤️.

"We have to rethink our strategy," you warned. "The Sabini family will be expecting an attack and that puts us all in danger."
"For fuck sake, that was because of your big mouth!" Tommy argued.
"Me? You're the one who angered Darby at the luncheon! Do you really think he'll trust you now?" you asked, huffing out a laugh.
Tommy slammed his hands onto the desk. "Yes, because I fucking say so, Y/n!" he yelled. You jumped at the volume of his voice as it echoed throughout the room. Your fiance could be forceful when he wanted to be and you had to know your place when he decided to assert his dominance. A hush fell over those seated at the table, seeing you both at odds and the meeting quickly adjourned.
Polly found you outside later, offering a smoke and a word of advice. "He knows you're right. Too bloody stubborn to say so," she said with a shake of her head. Softening her voice tenderly she added, "He loves you and he doesn't mean any of it."
"Of course," you muttered as you fumbled with your lighter. You tried to convince yourself of that fact as your driver chauffeured you home, but it was cold comfort.
Tommy didn't arrive in time for dinner. Instead, you ate in the kitchen alone and had a long hot soak in the tub. Then you slipped quietly into bed, hoping tomorrow would be better. Tossing and turning in your sleep, you reached out toward Tommy's empty side of the bed, wishing he would come home.
Then suddenly in the middle of the night, Tommy was there, sitting bolt upright. Panting for breath he called out, "Fuck...I...I dreamt you were gone."
"I'm right here," you said in confusion, sliding closer to rub his chest comfortingly.
"All the things I said today," he muttered, swallowing harshly.
"S'alright, Tom. You didn't mean it," you apologized for him.
He turned to face you, gripping your face between calloused palms. He shook his head earnestly. "I didn't, I swear it. You're my whole world. If I lost you..." he choked up, thinking of the dream he'd had moments before.
The tunnel had collapsed with you inside, buried in the dirt and mud he could practically feel caked to him now. He had called out to you saying he could go on without reinforcing the muddy walls when the supports around him began shaking precariously. His stubbornness keeping him from making his way to you up ahead. Why the fuck hadn't he listened? Tears pricked his eyes as he grasped your hand. "I never meant to lose you, you know," he confessed.
"You haven't lost me, Tom," you said, ducking your head to search his eyes. He was beginning to scare you.
"Good, because I always want you by my side," he said, eyes boring a hole into you.
"I believe you," you assured him, sensing his fright. You took his head into your lap and carded your fingers through his hair until you felt his breathing even out. There were times you knew he wanted to be a better man for you and that's why you stayed, to show Tommy how strong you could be together.
In the morning you woke tangled up in Tommy's arms, feeling his fingertips caress your skin. He smiled at you as he observed your hand resting over his hardening cock, eyes flicking to yours and you smirked back at him. "Someone's happy to see me this morning," you giggled. "Definitely not worried about Darby anymore I see."
"Oi, no more talk about him in the bedroom," Tommy warned playfully, his voice low and still rough with sleep.
As you began stroking him languidly beneath the sheet, you asked, "Going to tell me I have a big mouth again or shall I show you?"
"Cheeky, I like that," he replied as a laugh rumbled from deep within his chest.
Before you could slide down the bed, he caught your chin in his palm and tilted it up to look him in the eye. The flirtatiousness had dissipated and an apologetic look washed over him as he asked, "No more fighting, eh? I promise to listen to you more."
"I like the sound of that," you agreed, pushing yourself toward him for a tender kiss.

Chewing that part time pirate zuko... And also the fact that I'm obsessed with yuyan archer Mai. So here's the deal: after the war mai got to do whatever the fuck she wanted because she's one of the fire lord's best friends, who's going to stop her? So she goes to finally learn from the yuyan archers, doesn't take long bc 1. Zuko is surrounded by prodigies and 2. Have you SEEN mai's aim? She has the yuyan technique down in a week
The fire nation advisors are extremely worried about the fire lord at sea, and zuko sees mai, recently fully realized yuyan archer, and goes "she'll be my body guard so you people shut the fuck up". Sometimes mai takes her brother on the trips just because she can
(side note, i think the ship is metal solely so toph can be comfortably on board and still be able to navigate her way around)
Also, i forgot in my last ask, i was going to say that yue absolutely knows who zuko is, not just as fire lord, but as sokka's friend bc like... She's always trying to see where she can help the gaang, she saw when zuko joined and everything since, so when she sees zuko chasing pirates it's not just "oh I'm so bored look at that human trouble" but rather "oh I'm so bored oh wait i can help sokka's friend"
I'm undecided in whether aang is splitting hairs so to say about yue casually coming to the human world, or if he's out there acting as a yue lawyer trying to convince other great spirits to not give her grief but also not follow along on her idea bc... That would get messy very fast
Also. I love azula, i love that she's a menace, zuko leaves her in charge when he leaves and the fire nation advisors and ministers and the like are terrified of that. Azula loves it. She may also have implied she'll have zuko killed at sea (for the laughs and to see if anyone is not scared enough of that possibility. It's useful to know who wouldn't miss zuko to check if they're also actively treasonous). The gaang hears of this and they're extremely uncomfortable by the idea bc they're not sure if azula is being serious each time
honestly, just the threat of "azula is in charge" and she is chuckling in the bg. is like the biggest threat zuko could make. And all ambassadors, diplomat and council man are suddenly at their bestest behavior in a sense of " no fire lord please don't leave us we will do what ever you want"
its pointless though. zuko needs his brake and well. yeha he has mai and tom tom and just who ever wants to come along comes with.
beating up criminals is a healthy and productive coping mechanism with stress i think.

La thought the new yue would be different. and yue wasn't aware what she all signed up with. new compromises were created.

ok buckle up here's some things i didn't like in s3. In no particular order.
The set up of Malagosto? Just.. not good. And so god damn empty at all times? They probably did the best they could within budget but I am not a fan. Weird place.
The set up for alex joining Scorpia. Having him tell Tom and Kyra that he is alive was a bad call - and completely unnecessary. Nile not killing them but instead putting them on a plane home? Nah, don't like that. Well, i like that they didn't die, but they played down Scorpia's vibe of "does actually not give any shits". More isolation for Alex would feel needed to accept that kind of offer. More manipulation. AND more mistreatment from The Department? They have been way kinder to him in this tv-show than they are in the books and i don't think it's probable that alex would even consider joining Scorpia under these circumstances. We did not get enough Dark!Alex. When he accepted the offer, I thought they were going to change it to the "he is trying to play them from the start" angle, and I was genuinly surprised when that wasn't the case. And if not mistreated, I think the department should leaned into "this is in your blood, this is who you are" more, so that Alex has sort of internalised that he needs to follow in his uncle's/father's footsteps, and then the shock is bigger when Scorpia says "they killed him".
Alex joins Scorpia and suddenly becomes the most naive person on Earth? Not being able to hit Nile with a wooden sword? Dude. You already put a lockpick in his hand? Also, this Nile is a bully, and we know how Alex feels about those. And it's not a question of respect either - cause Alex has none for Nile, clearly demonstrated in the fact that he disobeys Nile but obeys Yassen.
The complete disregard of Alex's mother? Just gonna leave that here.
Scorpia not noticing when Kyra and Tom snuck around ar Malagosto? No chance.
Overall - Scorpia was not violent/cold enough for me to be scared for Alex's safety tbh. It doesn't necessarily require actual violence, but like the ever-present threat of it was not clear enough. And I know, I know they are trying to be kind to him, to lure him in, but there are other ways to demonstrate force, it doesn't have to be against him. For example - the other recruits beating the shit out of him? Julia, Yassen, anyone could have made an example of that, and made Alex trust them a bit more, make him feel like they care.
I do not mind the Kyra/Alex thing, I thought I would, but I don't, BUT I do mind the "DID YOU KILL SOMEONE?!" thing that happened when crawley dropped him off at home. Kyra, girl, love you, but you have no idea what happened to him? (Not much, as it turns out, but Kyra doesn't know that!!!) She knows who Scorpia are, she knows who Yassen is and yet the first thing on her mind is "What did you do?" and not "What happened to you?".
Julia Rothman's new look. Don't like it.
I am a Crawley fan now apparently and I don't like it.

re: last ask (hope this isn't unwelcome) - tom alluding to shiv's "bad time" and bringing up a very specifically sexual and sensual anecdote seemed to me to be about him preying on his knowledge of the fact that shiv responds to emotional vulnerability through hypersexuality and reminding her of the times when he provided that for her in the hopes that she would initiate that same dynamic again - they're right back at the start of their relationship. tom saying "I kept asking you" also reminds me of "do they sit on your face to shut you up?" as if she was bringing up that encounter specifically (or maybe tom always does that) from ep1. plus "i like it all" is haunting me i don't understand it. it doesn't read as romantic to me it reads as maybe shiv responding to her "bad time" (possibly abusive relationships with men in combination with a "party girl" lifestyle) through hypersexuality sort of "shutting" tom up in the act of sex by saying "i like it all" (like the tomshiv "even though i don't love you" scene from S3 - "do anything to me, say anything to me" = "i like it all") in conclusion i think tom is very deliberately trying to re-enact early tomshiv because that's how he knows to get in on her. idk i'm just fixating on "i like it all" i can't stop thinking about it ...
yeahhh so i disagree about the reading of shiv as 'hypersexual.' like, that's a narrative mostly pushed by roman, and i think it says more about his insecurities and views of women/sex than it does about shiv's actual behaviour. textually we don't see her seeking out a 'pathological' amount of sex (scare quotes because.... define that). it's like how the roman pervert allegations largely come from shiv and logan, and tell us a lot about how they see the world and the things they misunderstand about roman.
also i don't really see the party girl thing honestly. i'm not discounting the two lines about her being "a mess" and having a "bad time" but those are just so vague, like... there are a lot of potential readings there, and the shiv i see on my screen i would have a hard time reconciling with some kind of party girl stereotype.
however. i agree tom is trying to remind her of their early dynamic and appeal to her in such a way that she falls back into it. this time obviously the difference would be that he tries to directly replace logan's presence in her life, rather than providing her a conduit to logan. i think tom remembers "i like it all" as shiv 'surrendering herself' to him (he opens this anecdote by using the phrase "know each other" in a biblical sense djghfj) whereas shiv remembers that line as her being in a horrible place and having nowhere else to turn, and probably wanting to make tom happy.
so it cuts to the heart of a lot of misunderstandings in their relationship, with tom romanticising the moment as some sort of transcendent sexual encounter whereas shiv seems unhappy remembering it and is too busy worrying about her dad and everything else that's going on.

the fact that greg's still willing to give love all the time even when he gets so rejected. always gives kind words, gives hugs. it's just like. yeah he can be a slimeball and a social climber but he's also, like, good? he'd be a friend that loves you. it's just, really nice? his instinct is to be loving and grateful and supportive. honestly people should be way more appreciative of him
SHAKES YOUR HAND VERY HARD!!!!!! it's actually so true. he can and yeah but like. i think a lot of people forget that greg is quite literally the only one in there with jack shit to fall back on? like. what would You do. their instinct might be to say, "oh i would never do that, i would never become what he did, i would never be a schmoozer like that, i'd never be selfish and be an asskisser and do whatever i could to survive when i know that my closer family barely give a fuck about me and wouldn't provide support when i need it" and it's like.
lmao. like if you were in that situation, are you sure? are you quite sure? anyway. yeah he still has love to give despite what has happened to him like he's still a pretty amicable guy despite that like, mostly he's pretty friendly and like if you know what to do with him [provide support, love, safety and comfort] he is literally yours forever. in s4 he was tom's supporter, defender and threw ppl under the bus in tom's name. the only reason he """"""betrayed"""""""" tom in the finale [which he didn't but that's a whole other kettle of fish] was because tom was withholding these things from him. he kind of... backslid a little. not terribly, certainly not to the same point as when they started out, but to the point of being kind of like, dismissive of greg, unappreciative, ignoring his opinions a little bit, and it felt like a kind of step back from their promise at the end of s3. i think greg expected to be more on equal ground [and in ssssome ways they were? but not to the level that greg wanted] and for tom to trust him more with information and like. let him in on the battle more? like. greg does like being taken care of it's true, but tom was trying to shoulder Everything alone and then ignoring anything greg did for him like following his request or protecting him or lightening his load. it was another romcom miscomm which is classic for them, which led to to greg's frustration and helped power his retaliation in the bathroom like, sure tom is mad at him but at the same time greg is a little affronted like, you completely ignored me trying to help you and then were flaky as fuck on where things were wrt me and my position and what was going to happen, what do you expect when i get scared and i feel like things are stirring? plus i'm literally doing what you taught me and praised me for?
ANYWAY lol sorry the point is, when greg goes behind people's back or whatever it's for survival/to protect himself. even when he did actually do something detrimental specifically to tom e.g. when he ratted to gerri he is quite literally terrified lmfao and is having all this shit like foisted upon him, i think he deserves a little like. slack? lol? like he didn't do it with cruel intent. ofc it was selfish but like. so is literally everybody else in the show???? it's the bad people show. surprise!!!! this doesn't negate his positive qualities yet people just won't afford him the same nuance as they give to literally everybody else.

I'm gonna say a very unpopular opinion within the Spideypool fandom (please don't cancel me) but...
Andrew's Peter Parker is not my cup of tea and therefore I don't like to imagine him when reading Spideypool (the only thing I like about his Spidey is that he's age is appropriate but that's it).
When I read spideypool fanfiction I like to imagine my own Peter (most of the time he ends up being a chimera, you know: This thing from the comics, this thing from TASM, this from the MCU, this from Raimi's spiderman, this thing that is just a headcanon).
Or I like it when authors make their own Peter.
I don't know. Andrew's Spidey is super cool, but he's not what I imagined Peter Parker to be (in personality or in looks).
And in fact... I find it incredibly annoying when authors force you to imagine certain actor.
"PETER IS ANDREW, PETER IS TOM" (and they always write in in Caps) and I'm here like *rolls eyes*.
Shut up. I'll imagine my own Spidey.
Btw that doesn't mean I don't respect their work and in fact they have the right to use whatever actor they like (and I'll fight so they can have the right xD) but yeah... It is just my opinion and that's why it is probably very unpopular. I know Andrew is the fans favorite (so I've been scared to voice this opinion).
I have very specific headcanons for Peter Parker and I can't help it, neither Andrew or Tom (but specially not Andrew) fit them.

Overall, I really enjoyed Ep9! 😃 I was glad to finally get to the legal drama aspect of this case. As you all know, I loooove legal dramas lol. 😅 I was glad to finally see Danny's case getting to the courtroom.
Where do I even begin? First of all....WHEW!! That DA on the prosecution's side came out swinging with a vengeance in her opening statement to the jury boy..... 😲😳 I was scared lol... Cuz yea, if you just look at the "facts", it would appear that Danny is immediately GUILTY. I mean, c'mon...he was caught on TAPE shooting at his stepfather. 👀 Keep in mind too, that this was during an era when DID (or, what was formerly called "Multiple Personality Disorder") wasn't really recognized as a real, classified, mental disorder...at least, not in the justice system.
I have to admit, the prosecution's side came out hard-hitting and swinging left and right, so I was very curious about how the defense side of the team was going to be able to de-escalate this, and help the jury to see that Danny has a certifiable mental illness. 😊 You can already tell that the defense side has a HUGE uphill climb with this case, and it was definitely looking very hopeless for Danny (even though we all already knew that the outcome would be positive for Danny in the end). It was very intense.
The acting was very well-done in this episode. I have to hand it to Emmy... She did an amazing job in this episode. She did so well in this episode that by the end of the episode, I literally LEGIT hated her character lol. 😅🤣
I just couldn't with her.... I'm sorry.... I also felt really awful for Danny too. It seems like aside from Rya, Jerome was probably the only other person who REALLY cared for him. His own mother doesn't seem trustworthy at this point in the series🙄.....Just the very fact that she would even stay with a man for that long, knowing GOOD and well that he was molesting her son? Oh no no way could that be me.😡
I know it was a different era back then for women, but still! It's not like they were living on the streets! She had a house, she had a job, they had shelter.... I don't see why she had to drag that man into their lives, and (even worse) STAY with him when she knows that he was abusing her son as a little kid. 😭
What made it even WORSE was that Danny's mother Candy had ample chances to turn things around for Danny by testifying the truth. Rya and Stan were practically BEGGING her to please testify and help Danny out in his case, and she kept refusing. Only to later on then testify and LIE on the stand!!
The way she just remained silent and even LIED on the stand in the court scene (Ep 9) was just.... 😤 Smh!! I'm sorry I couldn't. I understand why she did what she did, but I still think that was a pretty low blow to do to your own son who's obviously suffering smh. 😔
I literally sat there with my mouth agape towards the end of the episode as she blatantly LIED on the stand. She basically committed perjury in front of that whole courtroom. SMH...
And then, the last few minutes of the episode where we see Danny (TW) attempting to slit his wrists is just.... Ugh.... it's just SOOOO heartbreaking to me! 😭 I literally teared up, and my heart ached for him! Just soo much paaain! 🥺 It was so depressing after I watched this episode. Tom played that whole part beautifully.👏🏾
I think it's also remarkable to note that throughout most of the episode (if not the ENTIRE episode), Tom's character Danny doesn't really say a word. Tom is acting with his facial expressions and with this eyes pretty much the ENTIRE time during this episode. And yet, we all know what he's thinking and feeling just through his EYES alone. I've always said that Tom is a very good expressive actor with his EYES. He can convey things w/out even speaking just through his eyes alone. I thought that was very interesting. He barely had any lines in this episode.
Sorry for this long dissertation guys, but I had to convey my thoughts.

I just thought about writing more about Estellé even tho my Ideas are stupid making Estellé such an annoying character as possible hshshdbd but here it is! 💀💀💀

When Estellé was sorted into Ravenclaw, she got later owl from her parents how disappointed they are she's not wearing the Snake and she probably don't deserve to wear it. Later her dad find out that Half blood Tom Marvolo Riddle is wearing that snake that was supposed to be Estellé, and so he started saying "how can that mudblood Riddle wear the snake that is yours. Maybe he did deserved it more than you as I see." "See? Even mudblood like him reached the house but you couldn't, you're not good enough to wear the snake" ....
That's why Estellé got the mindset hating Tom so much, that he have something that was supposed to be her and started to bully him kind of, never saying his name but call him mudblood ( basically for her Father, even half bloods are Mudbloods, there's no difference for him.)
And ofc Tom wouldn't let that slide, they were hexing each other, and call each other disgusting names or even bump into each other and smash each others books. How Estellé started It, it also got ended by her.
There was tradition in her family to became animagus before 17, she didn't wanted to disappoint her father again. She was trying for years, it made her excited and the stories her dad would tell her everyday when she was little. Having the leaf in her mouth for a month, drinking animagus potion on every lighting storm that comes, it was long process until that one day in 5 grade she made it. She thought as young she'll get more respect by her father
"look! She became animagus as young! We're so proud!!" But it was "became animagus as young is good but not good as wearing the snake"
Yet it just hit her that she doesn't care about her father's words anymore, it's tiring how he tells her everyday she's not good enough for the snake.
5 grade she became Perfect just like Tom Riddle and others. She saw how Tom was smiling at her so teasing, and laughed how he saw her scoff and leave right after dinner.
Tom saw how Estellé was changing, she didn't gave a shit about him anymore, what was her reason to stop ? He was curious, it was the perfect time to threaten it out of her. All he need to do is corner her up and say "what's wrong? Scared to threaten me all because you got the perfect badge? You don't deserve it" "you don't enjoy hexing me and nicknaming me anymore Astrée? Not funny anymore? Not enjoying?" The scenarios were repeating in his head, he was trying find the best one to say. It looked like Estellé was trying to run away from Tom, everytime she saw him, he could see how her chest was raising with anxiety and her heart beating, painting for breath running away from him, always find some way to run away from him.
Was she scared or just embarrassed for the years and drama she had with him. She's all grown up, she find out words have Consequences and it was childish to listen Father about the rivality again half bloods. Maybe she wasn't really meant to be Slytherin for so many reasons. Estellé decided to leave Tom just be, it didn't helped her to threaten him anyway
Yet still the words of her father was haunting her mind, never letting her sleep. She felt bad what she did to Tom as child, and now she's scared to even look at him, even go same way as he does. Maybe he would understand the teror she had in her household and the way her father tried to send her against half bloods.
In fact she would tell those things to Abraxas but it wasn't safe anymore when he became Tom riddle's friend and she started to ignore him, he wasn't safe for her anymore. Not mention the fact Boys were asking Abraxas where is his Ravenclaw rat that would stand by him everywhere he goes.
Abraxas tried to talk to her but her best friend Celeste would tell him always the same line:
"she is sick, please let her be." ( even she was healthy) it made him mad how she lied.
So Estellé spend long months thinking about how bad she was towards Tom, and that's when the bullying started, his friends would jump on her for things and even the littlest ones.
"you got more points at your test than Tom! You're such a teachers pet!" And insults. And they would even do it behind Tom's back, what he wouldn't care anyway. Abraxas didn't liked that idea, they wanted him to do it to her too but he denayed, it would ruin her and his friendship that was building for years even before Hogwarts.

The bullying kind of stopped for another months, it was relief Estellé, but she still felt she just deserved it.
Kids were excited to go to Rokville, maybe for the butter beer to 3 brooms, candy. She wasn't excited, her mind was still going trough something in her head.
BOOM!!!
A snow ball were hit in her head, little snow flakes all over head
Lestrange along with Avery, Garko were laughing and there he was. Abraxas standing here blank and watching her. Watching them doing this shit to her and not even knowing what was her reason. She could see how Tom was basically OBSESSED with her now.
And Rokville was actually really good reason when Abraxas could catch Estellé and give her talk but she slips her hand away from his.
"what's your problem Malfoy? Wanna throw snowball into me?"
"I didn't even throw one!"
"Just leave me, I don't have mood for any of the things that are with that God damn Tom Riddle!"

They didn't saw each other for long. As they were leaving Rokville, she disappeared somewhere. There was little frozen lake, yet still some broke frozen windows filled with water, idea lightened in her head.
"look a rat is trying to drown herself!!"
With every step she did, ice was breaking under her. It wasn't even a sec when the ice broke under her and fell into frozen water. She was getting cold so damn fast, cheeks cold, skin pale, nose and cheeks red. You wouldn't expect who came fast as possible, God damn Tom Riddle but she didn't saw who it was, she was losing mind from the cold, it was hella blurry, she could feel herself passing out.
He grabbed his scarf and pull it around her neck and tried get her into hospital wing as fast as possible. He had no idea why he do it, but he saw her from big clock window how she fell into the ice and no one would even save her, maybe he felt sorry for her?

Tom would check her everyday day into hospital wing but never actually showing up, he just stalked and listened. Profesors thank him how he saved a student from freezing to death.
Then he heard.
"I see you got Slytherin scarfs! Who it is!" - Celeste
"Abraxas." Estellé smiled warm to herself pulling the scarf around her neck "Abraxas, he..he wanted to talk to me but I was acting like a prick."
«Abraxas? He wasn't even with you!» Tom thought to himself and frowned, he needs to actually say it to himself that he was so obsessed whole damn 5 year with her.
"Abraxas? You sure? But anyway professors allowed me to bring you some soup!" - Celeste
Tom Left, why it should make him mad she thought it was Abraxas? Was he jealous? She was passed out when he came. She should thank him for everything, next time he won't be this kind.

pond child au matt is very interesting to me
honestly, the characterizations and storytelling of the au in general is so,, good??? i love it so much. the way the mcs are indirectly characterized just scratches my brain the right way. I wanna just- put my thoughts on everything here
I'm gonna start with Matt because hooo boy. isn't he Something.
despite how much I hated him at first, there's something so human in him. he's an asshole, yes, but he has motives. what they are? it's unclear...
Throughout the entire comic, he's shown as more of the leader of the group who doesn't take shit from anyone, especially Tord. He's generally disliked due to his contempt for Tord as the story is told from his POV and therefore better understood. Matt is seen as unreasonable because of his hatred towards Tord, and dislike towards Tom, all despite Tord doing his best. He may not be charismatic or calculated, but he sure as hell is trying. It's also apparent that Matt only cares about himself, from that one scene of him trying to convince Edd to drop the other two. He thinks of himself as the saviour, the one that has to make the harsh decisions for everyone else. He thinks of other people as inferior, as though they are not able to make important decisions without fucking up in some way. But, he also is scared, he's stressed, it's obvious he's nearing his breaking point. His way of thinking is getting to him, and he can't keep up; always being in charge and forcing himself to make decisions for the entire group is draining. It's shown that he does care about Edd, but the main thing he cares about is himself. He can't fathom how Edd could possibly care about others such as Ringo or the other two more than his own safety, and that infuriates him. He wants to be selfless, he thinks he's selfless, but in reality he's very fucking selfish. There's something that makes him so human, like he could be someone that you know… He does things without realizing, his actions make him the opposite of whom he wants (or claims) to be. He's someone that could actually… exist??? His character just has so much depth to him, and it just makes me Think,
Okay, after re-reading the comics, I noticed how Matt often monologues and I don't really have any idea why he would; it's just something he does /shrug. Though, he also thinks everything revolves around him which is very interesting, in some way it resembles the narcissistic Matt trope..?
Now for Tord, the MC/protag. The story is told from his perspective, obviously making everything biased towards him. From the start of the comic, he's characterized as very... hmpf. He comes off as very headstrong; he's loud and has almost no filter, he thinks he's always in the right and refuses to admit that he's wrong. He's also very... dramatic. He thinks the worst of people and refuses to hear others out. The way his text is in all caps was a very smart move to help portray his character too, imo. From his actions, it seems that he thinks that he's better than everyone, similar to Matt, but in a different way..? Which, would explain why they hate each other so much. There's not much here to analyse about Pond Child Tord 'cause he's pretty transparent with his thoughts… (and I don't know what else to say)
Now for Edd. Right off the bat, he's seen as warm and welcoming. I'm not sure what the bit about him getting so.. into the video game was supposed to mean (or his lower-uppercase dialogue), so I'll ignore it for now. It's very obvious that Edd cares about other people, and tends to listen to others rather than be the one to command them. He tends to put feelings over facts/not think about the most logical course of action. He just wants to be happy! He wants his friends to be happy! This makes him somewhat… shallow? as a character. Or rather, simple-minded. This also makes him feel somewhat… empty? Hollow? Something along the lines of that… it's rare for him to express his emotions, so when he does, you know shit got real. But otherwise, he's hard to understand from my perspective.
As for Tom, he's a complete mystery.
I find this post kinda ironic that I have the most to say about Matt, considering he is usually my least favourite character out of the 4. He's personally so hard to characterize, but pond and neep have done it so well! Also maybe he's kinda relatable… oops. Anyway, the brain worms wouldn't leave me alone until I wrote all my thoughts here

I'd say after a while of living in Green Hills, Tom and Maddie are going to let The Wachowski Boys go play with other kids/teenagers. Tails is quite nervous at first because of his past, but this time many kids actually take a liking to him and his two tails, which is both surprising and joyous to him. Even though there are some bad apples, they won't last long because Sonic, Knuckles and their friends protect him. Let's just say some angry glares are enough to scare even the worst bullies away.
Omg, yaaaaaas. I'm all for loving our extraordinary fox kit and big brothers protecting their little one! You get me, Wolfy! You really do!
Adding to that, the Wachowski's had to get really good at noticing small signs that Tails is being bullied. Since he got used to being bullied back in his village and no one really helped him, he learned to hide the fact it bothered him. And it's not like he doesn't want to tell them, but rather he's still a little bit stuck in the past routine. The fact that he now has people who care about him and don't want to see him upset and bullied is something new and something he has to get used to.
The first time they learned some school bully was at him, they were all surprised he didn't tell them. And got even more worried when he said he wasn't bothered because he was used to it. He now knows they care and want him to feel accepted by the community, but it's still difficult for him to come up whenever someone tries to bully him. He doesn't want to be a burden and is generally anxious they will kick him out when they learn how much trouble it is to keep a freak around (the bullies' words, not his).
He's learning, though. And the fact they all know things like that happen (and that he's much more vulnerable to bullying, despite AND because of his past) means they keep their eyes out and try to step in as soon as possible.
And yes, angry glares from Knuckles and Sonic usually are enough. You don't want to get on their bad side skxnjdndjd

i don't know if everyone knows it, probably yes, but the friendship between Loki and Mobius was inspired by the movie Catch me if you can (Attrape moi si tu peux), with Tom Hanks and Leonardo DiCapprio
for those who haven't seen it, Catch me if you can tells the true story of Frank Abagnale, a very famous crook, who was wanted by the police for several years before being arrested and then becoming an ally of the police. while the police were looking for him and after he was arrested, he developed a strong friendship, a kind of father-son relationship with a police officer.
the father and son dynamic between Loki and Mobius came from this movie, Loki being Frank and Mobius being the cop (i forgot his name, sorry Tom Hanks) (update, i just remembered that his name is Carl)
and well there's two lines in this movie that i particularly love, and i think they can fit Loki and Mobius very well :
Carl : I'm going to let you fly tonight, Frank. I'm not even going to try to stop you. That's because I know you'll be back on Monday.
Frank : Yeah? How do you know I'll come back?
Carl : Frank, look. Nobody's chasing you.
this line fits Loki kinda well for me. the idea that they do what they do because they want attention, that they wouldn't do it if nobody would see or chase them, that fits Loki for me. and also the fact that Carl knows Frank and knows what Frank feels - it fits Mobius. Mobius seems to know Loki and to know what they feel to. We can see it in the series - the most obvious example being the scene where he calls Loki a "scared little boy".
and talking about this scene, it makes me think of another line that i like. just before "nobody's chasing you" line, Frank asks Carl, who reminded him all the things he did to help him (his coworkers didn't really want Frank to work with them. They wanted him to stay in jail, but Carl fought for Frank to be released on condition that he help the police during the years he should have been in prison), "why'd you do that ?". And Carl says, "you're just a kid". "not your kid".
this line doesn't exactly fit Loki and Mobius because well, Loki isn't a kid. But it's interesting because Mobius called them a "scared little boy". He kind of sees Loki as a scared little boy. there's this notion of father and son dynamic, and of "i know everyone sees you as a criminal but for me you're a child and i'm gonna treats you as if you were my own" that is kinda similar between Loki and Catch me if you can.
so yeah, i can really see the similarities between the two dynamics, and there's a lot of lines from this movie that i could see being said between Loki and Mobius, with some little changes to fit their relationship and story of course

He didn't think about it and quickly put his hood up. And right on time since your friend opened your door but not super fast.
"Finally I've been looking all over the house for you"
You looked over as did mikey. Your friend gave mikey a unpleasant look, like they didn't want him to be their.

"Next door friend?"

"Actually no he isn't my neighbor that happens to be my friend, he's my boyfriend."

"Well th-"
Before he could finish his sentence your friend opened your door. A loud creek Entered the room. You signed before turning around.
"What"
"Wow rude"
You gave your friend an unimpressed look. They just huffed before looking at Donnie.
"Who's this? Your neighbor"
You scoffed before looking at Donnie. He was still panicked but you could tell it was mainly about them seeing he's a turtle. You grabbed his hand and watched as the panicked look disappeared and more of a surprised one popped up.
"He's my boyfriend actually"
Your friend looked annoyed.
"Really? Am I being replaced"
You nodded before turning your body to Donnie completely blocking them from his view. You heard them huff before closing the door. You stayed were you where until you heard them leave.
"Sorry about that Donnie, I didn't know they were coming"
You said before looking back at him.

Donnie had a big smile. Just because he proudly said he was your boyfriend. He giggles before looking up at your smirking face.

Hi all!! I'm new here, so I'll try to make an intro post.
I'm a Catholic convert and I've been questioning my sexuality on and off for at least three or four years. I tried to just not question and to be straight and if I'm honest, it's still hard for me to admit to even myself that I'm not straight, but I also think that when I've felt the way I have about girls and when I've been questioning for years, there's probably a reason for that!
I do have a bit of imposter syndrome when it comes to it still and I don't know how long it'll take me to get over that or if I ever will. I keep feeling like it's all just a "phase" because there have been periods where I didn't think about my sexuality as much, even though that's pretty normal for me to do with anything. If I think less about being Italian-American one day than another, I'm not less Italian-American that day. I keep searching for evidence that I'm making this all up for attention, such as the fact that I've had more crushes on guys than girls, which isn't really how anything works, but brains just hate us amirite?
(I mean, if I AM making this up for attention, I'm doing a pretty crappy job considering in three or four years of questioning the only person I've told is my mom.)
I feel like a bad person because of this chance that I might be straight, but I'm trying to be kinder to myself about this. Even if I WAS straight, I wouldn't be a bad person for being wrong. I guess I have a hard time grappling with the idea that I'm the only one who gets to say if I'm bisexual or not — I've always struggled with a huge need for external validation on things that I really need to decide for myself and I'm still working on that.
I'm Side B, which means that I only date guys, as I do want to marry in a Catholic ceremony. I think the first crush I ever had on a girl was Katie McGrath, who plays Morgana Pendragon on Merlin and Lena Luther on Supergirl. It took me years to register this as a crush lol. It didn't occur to me that that very particular feeling I got when she was on the screen was the same feeling I got when I watched Tom Hiddleston in Thor or The Hollow Crown.
I guess one of the biggest struggles is the loneliness. I've had some pretty negative conversations with other Christians on LGBT topics and I'm scared to open up to other Christians now. I'm scared that they'll see me differently, that they'll automatically assume that me being nice is some sign of a crush, that they'll deem my very existence sinful.
On the other hand, I'm also scared to tell my LGBT friends. The idea that they might pity me and think I'm brainwashed or — worse still — that they might get the idea that I don't love or accept them is too much for me. The idea of hurting someone I love like that just doesn't feel worth it.
(Side note: To any LGBT people who may be reading this who aren't Side B — please don't think that this means I will judge you or hate you! I will always advocate for LGBT people to have equal rights and be treated with respect and dignity. You are SO loved and I hope you are having a lovely day!)
So yeah, I suppose this is the first time I'm being open about this to anyone who isn't my mom? It feels weird being vulnerable in this way with people on the internet when I don't feel comfortable telling people I know well, but that's just the crazy world we're living in! It also feels scary and I keep having that voice in my head telling me that I'm just doing this for attention and that I'm just a straight girl who wants to be special, but it's also getting lonely having all these thoughts stuck in my head with nobody to turn to with them. (My mom is a QUEEN and I am so thankful for her, but I'd also like to talk to people who maybe get it a bit more.)
I was pretty lucky. I didn't grow up in so much of a bubble that I thought being into girls would automatically make my whole life one giant sin. I had lots of people in my life who respected the LGBT community and showed me the unfairness in the way they've been treated. But I still think of hurtful things I've heard and it still makes me want to cry sometimes. And if I feel lonely, maybe some of you do too — and maybe I can also help you find the community I've longed for. :)
NOTE: I have no preference between SSA and LGBT terms. Personally, I will use the term "bisexual" since I think it's more specific than SSA, but I don't really think it matters that much! Everyone has different perspectives and I will respect your desires either way. <3

THE SHOP AROUND THE CORNER (1940)
Director: Ernst Lubitsch
Cast: Margaret Sullivan, James Stewart. Frank Morgan, Felix Bressart, William Tracy, Joseph Schildkraut
Genre: romantic comedy
Two employees at a general store are constantly butting heads while being enamored of their respective pen pals.
This movie started me on the path to watching older movies. Back when we had cable, I was literally just flipping through the channels looking for something to watch and there was something super charming about this black and white movie that made me stop. I'm pretty sure it was James Stewart's demeanor in this movie. I would binge a bunch of his other movies after - including The Mortal Storm which stars him and Margaret Sullivan again as its romantic leads.
The fact that this movie is considered a top tier romcom is validating. And of course, because Hollywood is gonna Hollywood... it would be later adapted into "You Got Mail" starring Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan. This time with AOL inboxes instead of a PO box. I believe it's considered a 90s romcom classic but I'm partial to The Shop Around the Corner because of the shop atmosphere. And that both of the main characters are from humble beginnings (and not part of a mega bookstore chain, yanno?).
I think it's a well-done "enemies to lovers" trope because they never get too nasty with each other just for the sake of some drama or to delay the romance. And when they get real snarky, it makes it hit harder. When Klara tells him he has a hand-bag instead of a heart (because he's the shop assistant and takes his job seriously) that bit of dialogue was brutal.
Miscommunication and misunderstandings are typical romcom fare, but I feel like Shop doesn't rely on it as much as '90s romcoms. I feel like they've essentially just dismissed each other based on first meeting, in a work environment (which is an important note), so it took some time to realize the qualities in each other that actually matter. And what misunderstandings occur was pretty much intentional on Kralik's part and was incredibly amusing.
The ankle scene! Haha. Burned into my memories and makes me wish for a pair of sock garters of my own.
Because of its genre, the viewer knows it's going to deliver a happy ending where the leads get together but watching them warm up to each other is satisfying. It doesn't feel predictable because of its attention to details.
Beyond the main characters, the supporting cast is great. The shop is lively, it's not overly idealized and syrupy. I do like the friendship between Pirovitch (played by Felix Bressart) though. Hugo Matuschek, the shop owner (played by Frank Morgan), goes hot and cold on his employees due to personal things at home. As much as I will say on that without spoiling things. Let's not forget the brown-nosing co-worker Ferencz Vadas (played by Joseph Schildkraut). His lines are perfectly two-faced or backhanded. Like you're so sure he insulted you, but you can't call him out on it! With that you got your set up for a workplace comedy-drama.
Interesting bit: Margaret Sullivan and James Stewart were friends off screen which probably helped the on-screen chemistry. It's also believed that Stewart was head over heels for Sullivan. She was married to Henry Fonda and the three were all pals (though they divorced years prior to this movie). She and Fonda were lefties while Stewart was a republican. So that dynamic is definitely interesting. I don't remember the source, but supposedly Fonda and Stewart had such a heated argument once that they had to swear off talking politics! Sullivan herself was also known for getting pretty heated. When she heard that a writer was gonna get fired because of his left-wing views by an anti-communist director, she blew up on said director. Even one of the founders of MGM was scared of her. Her life was rough going as she got older, pretty tragic. But I won't get into that here.
