I’ve had a few thoughts about this concept and I LOVE IT‼️‼️‼️ I definitely wanna write more for Mortal!Reader in the future cuz UGH THE IDEASSS

There were so many different scenarios i could’ve written but I think laying out the simple stuff first was a good move😍

Not proofread (I swear I’ll proofread them eventually💔)

It would be REALLY hard for Percy to keep everything a secret from a mortal!reader

Ever since his life changed since finding out he was a demigod, Percy has tried everything in his power to hide this big secret

As much as this dude would love to tell you about all his adventures, the people he’s met and the places he’s seen, he knows he can’t

That would mean putting you in danger

If he were to tell you everything, there would be no going back. Your life would be filled with new dangers just because you’re with him

So Percy makes the difficult choice in keeping you in the dark about his demigod life 💔

He likes the sense of normalcy you make him feel

With how chaotic his life is already, being able to just lay with you on a night he’s not at camp offers him so much peace he’s been stripped away from

You make him feel like a normal teen living a normal life

This boy cherishes reader so much which is why he wants to protect them from knowing too much

He would rather keep this fake sense of normalcy than ever drag you into his world

But it gets to a point where you definitely notice the distance put between you both

When you were younger, you guys would share anything and everything with each other

But now it feels likes he knows more about you than you do about him

You know he’s hiding something

After all, Percy never really gives you a straight answer whenever you question him where he goes off to every summer

Why you never see him after summer vacation starts

Why he always returns with some kind of bandage and injury on him

Why it seems that even Rachel knows more about your boyfriend than you do😭 It makes you grow suspicious of what Percy’s hiding from you and why

It would definitely be a big cause on why a fight happens between y’all

While he believes keeping this huge thing in his life away from you is the safest choice, you only feel a growing distance settling in your relationship😭💔

“Why can’t you tell me what’s going on Percy? You never tell me anything anymore! It’s like you’re on a whole different world than I am!”

“I’m sorry y/n, I just… I can’t tell you. I can’t.”

“Do you not trust me?”

“No it’s not that! You have to understand that I can’t tell you. Please.”

“Fine.”

Percy wants to tell you. He wants to tell you that he’s a demigod. He wants to tell you of the secret hidden world of the Olympian gods. His heart breaks as you leave him, your own hurt and anger driving you further away.

He didn’t want you to get hurt but in the process, Percy didn’t even realize he was the one hurting you

Sally 100% talks to both of y’all💀

She can’t stand seeing her son heartbroken and you being driven away from the whole situation

Sally suggests you give him some time, he’s really been going through it for the last couple of years💀💔

Percy listens to the advice his mom gives him. Letting you fully into his life is a huge commitment, she knows, but if he wants to keep you in his life, homeboy has to make a choice…

I think Percy would be able to keep being a demigod for a good couple of years tbh

It’s easier coming back and pretending nothing had tried killing him throughout the summer

But alas Percy does crumble and reveal everything to you after a couple of days since his moms convo. He tells you everything with a shaky voice, this dude can’t even look you in the eyes while he’s talking

And You just take it all. You don’t doubt him once, not with the way he looks like he’s telling you his darkest secret (in a way he kinda is?)

After all that fun, you guys grow so much CLOSER cuz now there’s literally no barriers between y’all

You ask so many questions about his life as a demigod and he’s just so happy that you’ve accepted that side of him</3

Does not shut his mouth once he begins telling you of all the quests he went on

And you’re just so concerned on the amount of times this dudes almost died😭😭

A little thought, but he would totally give and teach you how to use a celestial bronze weapon, just in case worst comes to worst💔

And now because you basically know everything, Percy introduces you to his half brother TYSON😭😭😭😭

LIKE ITS A SHOCK TO FIND OUT PERCY HAS A BROTHER BUT TYSON LOVES YOU SM

Percy is just that happiest boyfriend in the world seeing you get along with his half brother and demigod friends

Despite you being a mortal, Percy has sm faith and confidence in you

You keep his secret safe, sending him iris messages every now and then when he’s at camp, and overall being super supportive of him!!!!

Being apart of this side of his life bought both of you together even closer, but that means you’re stuck with him for a looonnggg time

And you’re not complaining one bit. Not when you get to see your cool boyfriend thrive in this new world you found out was right under your nose

(I feel like finally being told about his demigod life would be such a main character feeing tbh💀)

batfam meets the justice league fic idea, where Nightwing convinces the JL that the batfam is the last of the race Gotham bat demons...

made on moble so sorry in advance.

Okay so it starts with Batwoman and Nightwing hanging around the watchtower. Eventually someone (most likely either hal or barry) asks how they are related to batman. Batwoman claims to be his sister, and Nightwing obviously says he's his son. When the question of who Nightwing's mom comes up (along with some of the league thinking that Nightwing was an accident, cause they can't see bats settling down), Batwoman simply says, "he doesn't have one."

The convo sudden shifts to the topic of the 'history' and 'biology' of the bat demon race. How they were nearly eradicated by a war with the Amazon's, and Atlantis, only a few really surviving and finding refuge in the caves below Gotham. Hwo they used ancient forgotten magic to remove all memories of this 'war' to keep themselves save. And finally how they reproduce asexually, by reviving the souls of children who were wrongfully killed. Taking the weak dead spirit and carrying them in their own soul until it could put itself back together.

When asked if this was how Nightwing was born, they confirm it.

BW: oh yeah. Actually 'wing was kind of a surprise you could say.

Hal: surprise?

N: YEP! You see I was kinda of dad's first so he really didn't know what he was doing...

BW: and it ended with bossy big brother screaming his head off in an emergence of a batling that he didn't know he was carrying.

Barry: screaming his head off?

N: oh...well the process of soul splitting, emergence, rebirth, whatever you want to call it, includes the host's soul breaking down enough to allow the younger newly revived soul to detach. It's very painful, So I've heard.

BW; so you've heard? Kid please I know you've heard your father when it came to your siblings rebirth.

Needless to say everyone (especially hal and barry), look at Batman the same way for the next few days.

when Bruce confronts his son and cousin, he honestly can't say he hates the idea. UT would throw off any suspicions sound hus true identity. Not mention give him a new way to mess with hal.

The rest of the batfam (let's say standard webcomic cast, with Terry and Matty McGinnis [time traveled/dimensionhopped], along with flashpoint!batman, because they deserve to be in the safe place rhay is the batfam too, for funies), also find this cover story hilarious, and spend all of dinner adding to the bat-demon mythos.

Thomas would've been the last surviving member of the demon army, who retreated and sought refuge in Gotham, along with his human turned immortal companion of Alfred. Bruce, Kate, and Luke (batwing) would his 'children'.

The normal children would all still be Bruce's. Inculding spoiler, as why she claims she isn't Bruce's daughter, she isn't passing up the chance to mess with the JL.

Eventually the idea gets suggested that they should trick the JL into believing that Batman is pregnant with a new batling. The prank idea slowly snowballs from there and Bruce is unable to stop it. So he agrees to join in, ans rhe prank planninf begins. Matty immediately volunteers to be the new batling, because he technically the youngest and doesn't have a vigilante alter ego yet.

The prank starts out slow. Batwoman and Nightwing increase their visits to the watchtower? Specially when batman is there and they are usually in the same room as him.

Bruce pretends to be more tired often, even pretending to take a nap, where the JL can find him. He also fakes head aches.

Eventually Clark asks him if he's alright. And Nightwing responds with

N: of course he's not. He's working too hard.

B: Nightwing...

N: there's a reason me and aunt BW following you, and it's so you don't over do it!

B: nightwing...

N: even grandfather is worried.

B: Nightwing. I have been through this 8 times already. I think I know my limits. Besides your grandfather has always been worried over the thought of a new spawn in the house.

Clark: !!!!

Once more things around batman grow awkward for the next few weeks.

The end of the fic would be the JL visiting the "bat domain" to meet Matty dressed up in a mask and brightly colored suit. And finding out about the literal small army that batman's been building. Not to mention cameo of Thomas in his bat suit scaring the living crap out if the justice league, and having the time of his life.

No no no, I saw those tags on that post of Astarion's "Midnight Chimes, eh?" Line.

Let's talk about Astarion in a relationship with Tav that he feels is a ticking time bomb, about to explode and then it's over!

Cuz like...that's HEAVY. That's HARD. That shit HURTS. Tav's perspective on their relationship has to be very different than his, and he probably can't even comprehend that it's real for a long long LONG time. And a LOT of that almost DEFINITELY comes from his own insecurities. ESPECIALLY if you get together during the confession scene BEFORE meeting Araj. The GUILT and WORRY he must feel??? Gut wrenching.

and i completely agree with you, i think for quite A While astarion is waiting for that other shoe to drop and for his partner to come to their senses and "realize" (heavy air quotes) that he has nothing to offer them. hence why he says "this facade." not because his feelings are fake (theyre not) but because their whole relationship feels like a sham to him because he cant give them a "real" relationship (i.e. one where he is able to provide, sexually, emotionally, romantically, etc). because as he says, he doesn't know what any of this means or what he wants their relationship to look like. and people can hc any number of romantic overtures or whatever (im not your mom) but the text of the game very much implies (to me) that the relationship is progressing at a snail's pace.

and that dialogue, the immediate acceptance when he's broken up with (and his fixation on protecting them in act 3 in the lead up to the ritual), is why i just cant take anybody who says "nah astarion isnt afraid of losing the PC" seriously. because like. no i think he's very afraid. he just shows it/doesn't talk about it in the way other characters might, and he's completely prepared to lose them at any moment because he can't even fathom why he has them to begin with.

I just feel like I have no idea how to parent again. Having babies was like this, too, and then there was a bit of a lull (was there? It was pandemic parenting, actually), and now I’m back to “wtf do I do?” again.

My second kid has some challenges. He’s whiny and fake cries, he wants to be babied (dress me, carry me), and eats zero foods. But even with his quirks, he is just… he just goes with the flow. M has no chill. She can go with the flow but she’s generally always trying to control it even while she’s flowing, steering wildly from the backseat, and breaking down wildly when it isn’t effective. And I’m like, girl what? What are we doing? Can you ride the wave? Oh shit, no you obviously can not.

I love her so much it’s absurd. I can’t describe it. She’s perfect exactly as who she is, quirks and all, exactly the way she was born (totally annoyed, fed up with my shit, completely unimpressed). But my god is it HARD. If I hadn’t had a second kid, I would have never known that it isn’t like this for every kid (and parent). Objectively, some parent-child combos are harder.

It’s absolutely about the convo, too. My mom is anxious and highly sensitive (among a zillion other things), so M being anxious and echoing behaviors I experienced as trauma as a child is triggering as fuck. I work really hard to both recognize that my kid can’t help it, and also have more understanding of the fact that my mom also couldn’t help it. And then I’m resolved to do better for M than was done for my mom (by her also massively anxious mom who was having severe mental health crises when my mom was left alone in her care as a young girl child).

Yay for being fucked up! I have some shit to work on too!

And then some days I’m like, shit is my kid just totally undisciplined because I’m overthinking it all and she just needs me to like tighten down and take away all the joy for her behavioral reports? My gut says NO, this isn’t it. We are not heavy on discipline, but when I lean this direction, I can see her crack and feeling worse. It’s not that I think my children should never feel bad or have consequence for their choices, it’s that I don’t believe this IS a choice.

I hope my instincts are right.

Nagi and Beat: What it Means to be Empathetic

One thing I really appreciate about Nagi and Beat's characterizations and dynamic in NEO TWEWY is how the game portrays them as the two of the most emotionally mature and empathetic party members in the game and how they express that maturity in distinct but equally important ways.

Let's start this analysis off with Nagi. The game makes a point to show off multiple times that she’s in-tune when it comes to others’ emotions. Take the side quest with Buddy Rapids on Week 2 Day 4, for example.

When he flips out over not receiving a glass of water from Ken Doi and everyone is flabbergasted by how he reacted, Nagi actually takes the time to empathize with and explain why he would feel that way, that he probably felt unwelcome or deliberately provoked. She literally absorbs emotions of others like a sponge, to her own detriment. She has this ability, knows it, knows how to work with it, but she can’t exactly turn it off. It gets to the point that an overwhelming burst of negative emotion from the people around her can cause her to emotionally break down, as we see from when she reacts to how the citizens are suffering from Shibuya Syndrome.

She analyses people and feels them whether she wants it or not, and due to being a combination of simultaneously open minded and very direct, those not true to themselves strike her as very wrong, in the wrong, or plain bizarre, as we can see from how coldly she treats Motoi and Fret at first. She’s true to herself, and to others, and someone not reciprocating on the same level is a bad thing in her book.

She suffers from hyperempathy and easily 'taps in' to what people are feeling, but she can struggle with finding the appropriate channel through which to express her feelings, such as her initial coldness towards Fret. Because of this, besides her infatuation with Sho, she’s fairly passive towards the group dynamic and synergy at first, instead to either gush about her beloved Lord Tomononami, EleStra, or both. This is especially notable when tensions start to rise between Rindo and Fret at the beginning of Week 2 and she can do nothing but weakly comment at the tense atmosphere in the air.

However, as we get to see throughout the game, she begins to lighten up towards Fret and if you look closely at how she interacts with him, she progressively becomes less outright insulting towards him and more distant and hesitant once she puts together than he might actually have a reason to be putting up a front. By the time week 3 rolls around she's not insulting him at all, actually engaging in convos with him because she's realized that Fret is a genuinely good person who acts fake as a coping mechanism. Most of this realization starts showing up during week 2 because Fret gets stressed enough by the situation they're in to let the "mask" slip on multiple occasions— you can see that Nagi's expression changes when her portrait is present during these instances because she starts to put it together.

While her arc isn’t as pronounced as the others, it’s still there nonetheless and revolves around her learning that she does not need to dismiss people right away and look past the surface, exploring in learning how to nuance so to speak. To cap it off, by the time week 3 comes around, she actively steps up to the plate more than once to help the others sort out their issues and integrates more into the group, truly embracing her role as the team mom, as seen as when she helps the other characters cope with their own issues on Week 3 Day 5.

Now, let’s contrast this with Beat. While he isn’t as academically intelligent as Nagi, can be slow on the uptake, and not really keen on using his head, he still gets a few good hits in and has a cutting-the-knot way of problem solving that is as much a positive as a negative quality.

In the first game, he calls out Konishi, who is presented as very smart, on her "unforeseen circumstances", and for someone mixing words a lot, he used those surprisingly straight and deliberately angers her so that she can focus on him while Neku snags Rhyme underneath her notice. He feels that the game is "whack" in NEO and is the first to call out Kubo against it and be suspicious of him while the others just found him sleazy and hatable ("might ask gramps some questions"), fairly quickly discerns that Fret and Rindo were at odds concerning the decision of trusting Kanon or not and that they needed to sort it out, and even recognizes Fret’s grief concerning Kanon herself and opts to let him have one last moment of hope and get some closure on the whole thing rather than just letting him bottle up these feelings in a negative manner forever.

I’d say that while Beat may not be academically smart, can often takes things at face value and can be considered dense at times, he is emotionally incredibly intelligent, even if not in the same way as Nagi: both are highly receptive to others’ moods and feelings, but while Nagi processes them with her heart and brains, Beat processes them with his heart and guts.

Conversely, while Nagi suffers from her hyperempathy and can struggle with finding the appropriate channel through which to express her feelings, Beat intuitively 'taps in' to what people are feeling and also intuitively 'taps in' to what he can say to cheer people up or to motivate them to keep moving forward, as shown when he inspires the group to keep going forward even when things get dire at the beginning of Week 3 Day 4.

Nagi stumbles butt-over-head into people’s psyches and while she has a good grasp on the information and psychology, being excellent at reading people, she doesn’t have the means of transforming that into a pleasant interaction if things are at odds. Beat, however meets people partway, at middle ground, or if he senses that he needs to, goes all the way to drag them out of their shell. He doesn’t embarrass himself with the unnecessary, as he doesn’t like to beat around the bush but also seems to think that people do have their own reasons of acting the way they do. To solve the problem, you address the problem, politeness and other fioritures can wait (which, again, is as much a positive quality as a negative one). Nagi has more tact with it because she can sense when things will go on the fritz, and because she’s more actively trying to get along with people than Beat. Even when giving the cold shoulder, she still has restrains (it takes a breaking point to call someone a "degenerate ape") and at worst ignores what bothers her, or makes it clear. Beat, on the other hand, would directly hop to 'I don’t like you, yo' and show scathing hostility, as he does with Sho and Coco who, in contrast to Kariya, Uzuki, and Shoka, are not at all apologetic when it comes to their actions and still antagonize him, in which he responds back in kind. You wrong him or his friends, you’re on his shit list, period.

This difference is seen most predominantly when the Wicked Twisters meet up with Sho again. Beat is immediately hostile thanks to his previous encounters with Sho in the first game and is ready to assume the worst of him, unaware of the shared history Rindo, Nagi, and Fret have with Sho at this point. And when Sho seemingly validates his concerns by attacking him and his friends, he's ready to write him off entirely. And it's not like Sho even cares about what Beat thinks of him to try and correct him afterwards.

Nagi, on the other hand, immediately notices that something is off about Sho compared to when he allied with the team in the first week and picks up that it may be Noise-related. And sure enough, she turns out to be correct. Sho had been absorbing Rindo's Dissonance Noise while he was away and when he absorbs a whole bunch at once, his mind gets overwhelmed and he goes berserk, attacking the Wicked Twisters in the process. Sure enough, when Neku quite literally beats some sense into him after he was already worn down by the team, Sho doesn't antagonize them at all whatsoever. and even gives them cryptic advice concerning the storm that's coming their way later.

To put it into perspective, Nagi is receiving all channels 100% of the time and as such had to define herself strongly against them to hear her own, affirming her personality and being very direct. It’s a radio always on that she can just tune out somewhat, but not turning it off. And if things get too overwhelming, she can take too much of that negative energy into herself and become severely affected herself if she doesn't have an immediate outlet. It's why she flips out at Rindo when she first meets as she was already unintentionally channeling the emotions of others and was being harassed by the DRS team beforehand and her missing the special EleStra pin was essentially the straw that broke the camel's back.

Beat, in contrast can hop from channel to channel and tune in on people, but only a few of his choosing at a time. Hence why he’s more receptive of a variety of different people, if they are amicable to him. He instantly hits it off with Fret, wholesomely accepts Nagi, even reaches out to Rindo who’s more unsure and shy (seen in the day after recruiting him as he’s the first to come up to him to see if things are okay), wholeheartedly accepts Shoka in the team and develops quite the protective streak for her among the rest (seen when he warns Susukichi about taking her after Ayano’s passing). He’s the big brother all the way. Compare this to how he reacted to Neku and Shiki in TWEWY, where he welcomes the latter at first after apologizing to the duo for mistaking them as Reapers but immediately takes a justified dislike to the former because Neku was kind of being a huge prick at the time.

I think all of this is incredibly interesting in how the writers go about in portraying that nuances of what it means to be empathetic and emotionally mature and it just goes to show how much the TWEWY team cared about detailing the psychology and mindset of each character in a way that makes them all the more real.

And as a side note, I really appreciate Nagi and Beat’s dynamic. Rather than have them conflict as they could have so easily done (the athletic, skateboarding musclehead and the nerdy educated woman) the game has them genuinely enjoying one another's maturity and working to support the rest of the team, with Nagi even patiently translating anything she needed to of her dialogue for Beat's sake, as well as draw comparisons between the way Nagi treats Beat and Fret to foreshadow her issues with the latter and I think that's just neat.

they’re a happy family

miles, as the oldest, is protective of his baby sisters.

jada n billie always ask for miles as much as he plays with them

jada is a february baby

miles (canonical but i’m addin it away) is a august baby

billie’s a june baby (idk her canon birthday but late june - early may seems right for her)

jada has 4c hair, billie has 3b hair n miles has 4a-4b hair

all of them except for jada are tenderheaded

they all have thick hair tho

jada’s clinger with jess than with any of her other parents (rio fake pouts about this because “my baby doesn’t spend as much time with me!”, the two women laugh it off tho, lil jay’s left oblivious)

the babies are a year apart, jada’s the youngest.

since miles is 13-14 years older than the babies, he likes to act like they’re his babies.

jess is trusted with the kids’ hair most days because of rio’s work schedule and jeff can’t braid.

rio and jess mostly speak spanish amongst themselves and the kids, jeff is left out convos most times but he doesn’t care too much as his wives are just so beautiful when they speak spanish.

rio is transfem (to me 😭😭) and her partners are widely supportive, she began to transition once miles was born.

(if we’re talkin bout transfem miles) rio would be absolutely estatic once she told her that she feels more of a girl than a boy (transfem genderfluid miles has my heart 🫶🏽) she still dresses ‘masculine’ and uses her name n he/him pronouns (genderfluidity at its finest, can you tell i’m slightly projectin?)

Modern au where lucemond are dating in uni but the catch is people don’t know they are related because they have different last names and they don’t look alike. Also, people are stupid

But then Lucerys invites someone over one day and first, this someone did not know their friend’s house it’s a whole ass castle?? Like, Lucerys has that privileged rich boy vibe going on but a castle feels like too much.

Lucerys then goes to explain that his whole family lives together because his grandfather, the head of their house, says so, and what he says always goes. So now Lucerys is showing this poor soul around one of his family’s centuries old castle and all the absolutely terrifying cool things it has like the very much usable sword his father used to threaten his grandma to death last Christmas, isn’t it awesome?

Certain someone rightfully fears for their life.

At some point on their way to Lucerys’ chambers - he has chambers just how rich is this family? - Lucerys either mentions that Aemond is somewhere at the place, or they pass by a bunch of old portrays that look too much like Aemond. Either way, it kickstarts a conversation that would go something like this:

“Aemond? Here? Why?” (this can used for both convos because there are some portraits that look like someone took a picture of the scary ass man who Lucerys is dating).

“What do you mean? He lives here?”

“He lives here? With your family?”

“Yes… he is part of the family.”

“I know you’ve been dating for a while, but—”

“No I mean literally. He’s my uncle. My mom is his older sister.”

Bonus if there are still dragons around and they are actually still royalty (supposedly it’s all just for show but we all know they still run the country) and the government allows them and only them to inbreed because it’s the only way they can even attempt to control them, which would otherwise be a massive source of panic (kinda like the pardon the Targaryens got in canon), but for some reason no one at the uni knows they are part of that Targaryen family. It could be because their faces aren’t shown in public so they can live a relatively normal life while studying, and they all get fake ids because the Targaryens are extra like that. Also they’d all live in Dragonstone (here it would be like this huge ass estate that’s actually out of the city and it’s so big that it could very well be an island) and only go to the Red Keep when they have to attend meetings.

This is all a silly little thing I thought of, and this specific scenario is very crack-like, but i think it has a lot of possibilities if one decides to take a more serious approach of the prompt

Mr. D. Just Mr. D. Also does not help he's played by one of my favourite actors who played one of my all-time favourite characters (aka Pimento). He's an ass, but a goofy ass. Like after watching the Insta preview of his convo with Percy, I knew he was going to be an ass about it, but I didn't expect him to say he was Percy's dad to get alcohol ToT.

Percy's sass: 100000/10

Walker's acting deserves an award.

Luke just Luke. The poor man sounds more sad than angry (Which honestly makes the finale 10x better if you think about it since it'll feel more like a twist for people who don't know)

Luke just Luke because he's so charismatic.

Percy learning archery and being in the forges on the comedy scale is 1000000000000/10.

Chris and Luke being besties and being close on-screen and Chris just getting more screen time. Do you guys think he's still unclaimed??? (If so... A+ parenting Lin, no wonder your son/s hates you)

THE PORTRAYAL OF ARES KIDS IN THE SHOW>>>>. Like we were always told how scary they were, but like in the dumb jock, bully way. I'm probs just nitpicking but I love how Chris literally says that Clarisse spends the first few hours hunting in the woods (Guerilla warfare tactics anyone?). Idk why but I think that just shows how dangerous the Ares kids are. Like the Athena kids are always hyped and everything for the strategic warfare, but cmon there HAD to be a reason why everyone was so worried bout the Ares kids joining the Battle of Manhatten. Like it had to be more than they were kids of the War god. (Hello the Spartans worshipped Ares and were one of the greatest warriors in history, they were just given a bad rep due to the Athenians writing down history and the myths)

Also, what's gonna happen with Chris and Clarisse???

Tots not biased since I have a weird love for Ares (fav god in the myths) and his kids

Alright here we go...I need to break down my feelings on this.

*1st...Do I think that the writers are abandoning the nace ship? No. I do believe they'll end up together but it's the storyline presented in this episode that now taints that for me

*yes, I know Nancy did what she did out of love. It's the same reason she gave the road back the list to save ace's life in season 2, the same reason she denied her feelings for him in the S3 finale. She makes a lot of bold choices to protect Ace.

*then there's the fact that the only reason he was on that boat to begin with was bc she told his dad yes when they body swapped and she gave him a deadly curse jar to drop in the ocean to boot

*while Ace is living through this hellish nightmare, the rest of the Drew Crew were building heartfelt memories in honor of Nancy's mom. Seriously, hate this for him.

*so Nancy leaning on Ace in these ways but kind of not always being present for his needs is a pattern that I needed to see them break. But they didn't, they repeated it. That doesn't make their big love seem as real, true, or sincere

*this means that the convo on the phone from 4x08 was an altered memory, which means even with a fake remembered heartfelt convo like that, Ace didn't invite Nancy to Seder and they were cold as ice to each other.

*Ace had an impossible choice, to save his Dad or Alice. There wasn't much he could do in that scenario obviously but the whole scene felt weirdly off and not surprisingly, difficult to watch

*so... while I can believe that a final twist is possible, if it doesn't somehow remedy the fact that Ace was put in that situation because of Nancy and then the memory of it was erased by Nancy without his consent, and all the ramifications that brings....I'm not sure I'll feel great about it

Now... some random other thoughts I have..

*I don't think that Tristan's curse is actually broken, it was way too easy

*they should've done an 18-episode order for the final season minimum, it's not fair that the storyline had to be truncated into 13 episodes and we've missed so many opportunities for extended scenes

*really though, what could the big final twist be? Is this all still one big crazy vision from Temperance and were all still at the Vale in real time?? Or maybe the memory Nancy and Ace witnessed still wasn't really accurate?

All I know is I really hope next week leaves a much better taste in my mouth and warmth in my heart ❤️

Steve doesn’t consider himself the jealous type. He’s Steve “the hair” Harrington. What does he have to be worried abt? I mean, the fact that he works at Scoops Ahoy and is basically a dad-mom to a bunch of 13 year olds is what makes him Steve “the hair” Harrington, right?

No, Steve was painfully aware of how uncool he became and the fact that a very cool guy walked in and set his sights on you made him crush an ice cream cone

“She looks like she’s bored, Steve. Don’t worry about it,” Robin says. “Um, how do you know? You’ve never flirted with a guy before,” Steve says.

“Disregarding that. Anyways, she’s not flirting. She looks so uncomfortable.”

“No, she’s smiling,” Steve says. “Yeah, fake smiling. You see how her eyes don’t squint and crinkle?” Robin points out.

“What? Have you been like, stalking my girlfriend?”

“Steve, shut up. Now look at her and tell me she’s enjoying the conversation.”

Steve looks at you and it looks like you’re enjoying the conversation. But you’re a nice person and it’s not like it was weird to have convos with random ppl in stores. You did it all the time. But this time it was different bc now you’re bc Steve was ruining his own day by being his own villain.

“Yo, Y/n!” Robin shouts. “What the hell are you doing!?” Steve exclaims.

“Steve needs to tell you something!” Robin pushes Steve out from behind the counter. She’s like 😁👍 and Steve know obvs is like 😡🖕🏻 but he goes over to you anyways.

“Hey, Stevie!” You grin. And now Steve feels so bad for ever thinking you would cheat. I mean, the way you smile at him just says it all.

“Hey, honey. How, uh, how’s it going?” Steve asks. “Good. Hey, have you met Frank?” You ask.

Steve paints on a tight smile. “Yeah, he’s in our uh, science class, right?”

“Woah, Steve, you’re dating her?” Frank asks. “Yeah, why?” Steve asks.

“That’s so cool! Man, after your downfall, we all thought you were such a nerd and a loser, but you’re with a total catch now!”

“Thanks, Frank. I appreciate it,” you smile.

While Steve tries to act friendly, he can see through Frank. He’s looking at you like how Steve used to look at girls before he learned some humility: like a piece of meat. It made Steve’s blood boil.

So Steve decides to be discreet and show Frank that you are Steve’s. He slips his arm around your shoulder and kisses your cheek.

“Yep, Y/n is the best!” Steve beams. It’s not like he’s lying bc well, you are the best. He just really wants to punch Frank in the face.

You can totally see through Steve. You look at him like 🤨 “don’t you have a job to go back to?”

“What? Scooping ice cream doesn’t take that much effort. Robin has it covered,” Steve says.

“Yeah, dude, it’s kind of irresponsible to leave your post. I can keep Y/n company,” Frank says.

“Oh, I’m sure she’d rather be alone. Right, sweetie?” Steve hums.

You’re like 🙄 and not bc you like frank or anything, but it’s so obvious was Steve is doing, and him and Frank are basically having a staring contest and probably like a sword fight in each other’s minds. So you decide to play into Steve’s words.

“Steve is right, Frank. You did kind of interrupt my reading,” you gesture to your book.

“Right, my bad. Next time I’ll make sure you aren’t reading,” Frank smiles.

“Good idea,” you nod. “Well, I gotta get back to work. I’ll talk to you later?” Steve asks.

“Yeah, have fu - Steve!” You gasp as he crashes his lips onto yours. You can’t help but just melt into him. He’s Steve “the hair” Harrington, after all, and he’s completely stolen your heart <3 (aw so cute)

Frank obviously leaves with a glare on his face. You swear he mutters “Stupid Harrington stealing all the hot ones.”

You leave after a little bit but come back after Steve’s shift to pick him up.

“You hungry? My mom saved some leftovers for you,” you say.

“Yes, please. I’m starving,” he groans.

“Great. Why don’t you sleep over tonight?” You ask.

“Sounds like a plan,” he smiles. He leans in to kiss you but you stop him. He pouts, “what? Did I do something wrong?”

“No, but we do have to talk,” you say. “I know, I’m sorry we’re out of your favorite ice cream. This stupid store sucks,” he says.

You smile, “it’s not that, Steve. Remember earlier with Frank?”

“Yeah,” Steve frowns. “Well, I wanted to ask you why you did all that. Were going jealous?” You ask.

“Pffft me, jealous? Nah,” he shrugs.

You raise your brows. “Really, Steve? Making out with me right in front of him?”

“Don’t pretend like you didn’t like it.”

“I did like it, but please tell me why were you jealous!”

He sighs. “I guess… I’m just not cool anymore. And I know that sounds shallow because I’ve been trying not to care so much, but I can’t help but care. I used to be this guy who everyone bowed down to. Now I’m just this guy who scoops ice cream and gets chocolate sauce all over him every time I try to drizzle.”

You can’t help but laugh. He’s like :(( “why are you laughing?”

“Honey, I know you miss being King Steve, but you have to know by now that all that was so insignificant and just stupid. Think about how you were a year ago: jackass, man whore, ass —”

“Must you go on,” he remarks. You grin, “sorry. Anyways, I know being popular was like the best thing ever, but think about what you have now. Best friends, who may be 13 year olds, but they’re all the best. You have a stable job, decent grades now, and a girlfriend who I recall is a catch.”

He sighs, “yeah, I know. I’m really thankful for you guys. I’m really happy that I’m babysitter Steve and not man-whore Steve, but I’m just afraid.”

“Afraid of what, baby?” You ask.

“You started dating me just after I became uncool. So you saw how cool I was and I’m afraid that one day you’ll miss that and end up going to someone cool like Frank.”

“Steve, are you serious?” You ask. “Yes, I am! I know it’s so stupid, but that’s how I feel,” he frowns.

“Hey, it’s not stupid, honey. I just don’t think you understand how cool you are.”

He’s like 🤨 “um, do you know who I am?”

“Yes, I do. You’re Steve “the babysitter” Harrington. The most caring, loving, tough guy out there. You’re a hero, Steve. Not only to me and the kids, but to the world. You’re so cool, and you know why? Because you gave up all that douchebag crap to be a great person.”

Ugh and he’s looking up at you with those big honey brown eyes with his cheeks painted pink. (I would die for him basically)

“Really?” He asks. “Mhm,” you smile. You wrap your arms around his middle and peck his cheek. “Not to mention, you, Steve Harrington, make a certain girl very happy in bed.”

He grins, “oh, yeah?” “Yep,” you giggle.

“Well, good, because I’ve heard that this girl is a real catch.”

“You’ve heard?” You scoff. “Yep, I’ve heard. I think I might have to take this girl out to really know, though,” he sighs.

“Oh, really? To where?” You ask.

“Her favorite restaurant at 7 pm tomorrow.”

“Are you asking me out but talking about me like I’m not here?” You smirk.

“If I was, would you say yes?” He asks. You giggle, “yes.”

“Great. Wear that little green dress, yeah?” He hums.

You roll your eyes. “You’re such a dork.”

“But a cool one, right?”

You sigh, “yes, you are a cool dork.” You kiss him sweetly, but then pull away. “But, Frank is pretty cool, too. I don’t know, Stevie, he might got you beat.”

Steve wraps his arms around you and pulls you flush against him. “We’ll see about that after I’m done with you tonight.”

"Well __ has been busy on her group projects. Shes been going out so we dont really get to go out together." He said while pouting. "Huh.. __ also has been busy with group projects." i said. "Sungho.." i said while facing my entire body to him. "hm?" he siad whiel looking at me. "I know this seems rude but dont you think __ is cheating on you.." "I mean shes been busy with 'group projects' even tho she skips classes." "Shes also texting someone 24/7 and smiling while texting." He looked at me confused,sad and mad. "Look y/n.. its none of your business if my girlfriend is cheating on me or not. i appreciate your concern but she told me that shes been attending her classes and that the person shes texting is her mom." "i would appreciate it if you can mind your own business." he said with a serious face. I never heard him this serious. Maybe i did cross the line. "Sorry.. im just.. concerned."

During dinner, Sungho didn't talk to me. I really did cross the line.. The next day was so quiet. Sungho didn't talk to me or even text me. After classes i decided to find sungho to apologize. I saw him packing his stuff at his locker, but he looked. Sad. “Hey sungho..sorry about yesterday.” “I really did cross a line there and I'm really sorry.” I said to him while looking down. I was about to apologize again, but he cut me off. “Don't worry y/n..You were right.” “I was telling __ about what you said and she told me that you were telling the truth and that she wants to break up with me.” He said while on the verge of crying. “Also y/n..” “The guy she's dating is your boyfriend.”
