Of course, Erika! I was actually really hoping you would ask me because, as I am sure you know, I am just obsessed with Nacsele. Sorry Morgen. I love him. How could I not? He’s a total sweetheart, and him and Josele were very cute, but I am unapologetically Team Nacht all the way! I adore their deep friendship and the quick wit & banter that they share, but it's really the angst of that pairing that just elevates it for me. I mean they support each other through their trauma and grief, and then, fall in love?! Even when they believe they're too broken to ever be loved and to be happy again, they show each other that they can be. 😭 I'm going to sob. It's beautiful and is more compelling to me than I have the words to express.

I'm sure it's no secret that I am not much of a romantic, but what you may not know about me is that I do actually have some favorite love stories one of which is a movie called "Return to Me" which is about a man, Bob, who loses his wife in a tragic accident and swears off love forever, but he eventually finds healing and falls in love with the wonderful woman whose life was saved by receiving his deceased wife's heart in a heart transplant. (This is literally all established in the first 5 minutes of the movie so it’s not a spoiler, I promise). The heroine of this film, Grace, is just so incredibly sensitive to his loss and so supportive of him, and one of the main conflicts of the movie is that she cares about him so much that she is heartbroken to learn that even though this transplant saved her life, it caused him so much pain and suffering. The other conflict, of course, is Bob (the main man) coming to realize that even though he truly loved his wife and is always going to miss her, that doesn't mean that he can't love Grace just as much. It's real. It's beautiful, and it's so sincere that it just pulls at my heartstrings every single time. Needless to say, I have an extremely intense passion for stories about finding love after unbelievable tragedy and loss, and Nacht x Josele fit that category so well so of course I'm going to eat that up.

This pairing was just made for me to love. I mean, it also has a complicated brother relationship and they're childhood friends to lovers. Gah! It just has everything. Nacsele is just everything!

I don't think I'm even making any sense right now, but it's so, so good. I find myself just randomly thinking about them like I would with any canon character x canon character ship. I guess that just means they're canon to me. 😁

Lockwood and Co: Worth watching?

Ok so, Lockwood and Co. I'm so glad you're liking it so far!! It's honestly such a good series you need to finish it ! However, if you want more context/info (because let's be fair books have more information than shows because obvi it contains thoughts of the characters that can't be said aloud in the shows) i definitely recommend reading through the books first!!! The books are from Lucy's perspective as far as I can remember and the sarcasm not only of her but every single other character is SO IMMENSE. Like all of them are so sarcastic at the most unexpected time it's actually hilarious. It's like they are meant for each other and became besties the moment they met like it's SO CUTE. it's banter and if you don't know me I'm an absolute banter girly LMAO

it's (in my absolutely correct opinion jkjk) one of THE best book series. I'm very picky when it comes to books (especially series where you have to spend quite a bit of money) but lemme tell you, this book was an absolute 1000000000000000000/10 for me. The way the book is presented, the characters are presented isn't a drag which is my problem with most books. it's a thriller right at the start. It provides relevant information, never digressing (unlike me LMAO) and never steering off-topic. Stroud knows how to capture it's readers and once you've made past the starting bit of the first book (the only bit that seems like a drag to me and it isn't really it's introducing characters so ykyk) you will absolute enjoy it if you love thriller books. Needless to say, it's one of my absolute favourite series for that exact reason. Thriller books to me are the equivalent to heaven because of how there's always something happening. There is a mystery and it's solved. You just need to be patient enough to reach the end of the books and WOOHOO! you've just finished a thriller book! and you loved it (ofc bc why wouldn't you)

The thing with me is that i hate anything that isn't a sick twisted mystery with a bajillion plot twists, supernatural things and contains people that yield weapons.

Favourite Lockwood and Co book?

Yes there are 5 books in the series! I got gifted the first two Lockwood and Co books buy a friend and lemme tell you I thought I wouldn't like them at all. Boy was I wrong. I feel like it takes ages to find some book that you actually like. Finding a book/movie genre is similar to finding a music taste! It's all subjective. All opinion based (well apart from the fact that Lockwood and Co is the best book series to ever exist. That's completely objective). If you like supernatural stuff, books that keep you on the edge of your seat etc then Lockwood and Co is very much recommended.

My favourite book is either 4 or 5. 4 is the creeping shadow and if I remember correctly it contains info about Lockwood's past. It gives insight on him and his character and everything else so I love it! If you're wanting to read book 4 however, I definitely recommend reading the earlier books first because they are in order and it's just better that way ykyk. 5 is the empty grave (I read that book by borrowing it from the library LMAO). I love it because well first of all it's the last book in the series: kinda bittersweet but ykyk. And secondly, because it's such an immersive book. I mean that the case with every single book in the series but 5 specially.

You didn't ask this but my favourite character is definitely the skull! I love his absolutely sarcastic nature he's just absolutely hilarious. And he helps but in such an indirect way it's hard to tell! And he's sarcastic all the time to the point that you can't tell when he isn't!!!

Locklyle Romance

You are absolutely right in that the romance is a major part of the series unlike the books. The book contains quite a bit of tension but sometimes that tension can be felt better when you're watching then when you're reading. Also, lockwood and co is about supernatural ghost hunting saving the world sorta thing. So, while the books explore some romantic themes, it isn't solely about romance. Nowadays, almost all shows contain romance: doesn't matter if it's comedy, horror, thriller, mystery and whatnot. Romance has become such a recurring theme in shows, movies etc it's hard to find shows without romance. Lockwood and Co as a netflix show and book ofc doesn't contain STRONG romantic themes. This allows it to be a show for comparatively younger kids. Not like super super young but like not 15+ either. It's a well balanced show: contains a bit of everything. The tension however leaves people wanting to see Locklyle be a thing.

In my opinion, the romance and tension makes the people want to watch more for more than one reason which I think is a start move from the creators side. I LOVE Locklyle and I am the #1 Locklyle shipper because they're so cute (poor George). And they're both so oblivious it actually makes me want to kms because JUST KISS ALREADY!! My favourite Locklyle scene is either the toast one or when she's calming him down outside (I don't want to spoil it for you or anyone so I'll be very vague) I also love the bandage one but like Lucy calming him down one is so CUTE! I'm not sure if you've already seen that it might be in later episodes so I'll be really vague. Also the toast scene>>>>!! get yourself a man who looks proud after giving you a buttered toast it's actually so cute I love Lockwood smmmm

UNFORTUNATELY, NETFLIX DOESN'T CARE ABOUT THAT AND AS FAR AS I KNOW IT CANCELLED (CANCELLED!) THE SHOW.

Top 10 is quite difficult, to be honest because I love more than a hundred characters. But anyways, let me mention 10 characters that I love even now. These are not exactly arranged chronologically:

Spencer Reid (Criminal Minds)

he's a genius and a smart mouth

he's socially awkward but he's trying

he's good with magic

the show literally f*cked him too many times which made me love him even more [i am aware of the fact that there's something wrong with me so don't mind me (ᵔ.ᵔ)]

2. Five (The Umbrella Academy)

he can time-travel and teleport

after failing big time when he tried to do time travel and got stuck in the future for over 40 years, he managed to get back to 2019 but got stuck in his 13-year-old body, kiddo in a "short pants" who speaks like a 60-year-old man, who wouldn't love him?

he's a genius and a tactician

he's very sarcastic and quite intimidating which is why some people call him "little shit", "our little psycho", "kinder-shit"

he also became an assassin when he got stuck in the future - 13-year-old body + 60-year-old mind + master killer (come on, he's a complete package, right?)

3. 12th Doctor (Doctor Who)

I haven't watched the classic Doctor Who so I can't really compare so between the 9th to the 13th doctor, I love the 12th doctor the most

actor Peter Capaldi did a great job in portraying the role, in my opinion. he is a fan of the series and him playing the role of the doctor really shows how much he loves the character

ngl, at first i thought, he was too old, what happened to the doctor? but as i watched the series featuring the 12th doctor, i get to love the character even more. the doctor is already over a thousand years old and him playing the role showed his wisdom and his experience of that who lived a very long weary life

i'm always attracted to eccentric genius characters and the doctor is definitely one of them, not to mention, the sarcasm, the banter, the 12th doctor delivered this so well

4. Son Hak (Akatsuki no Yona)

he's probably the main reason why i will never get married. hahaha! just kidding

even though he loves Yona (the female protagonist) romantically, he never wished for them to be together, he was even willing to protect Yona and Soo-Won (after they get married in the future) and be by their side for the rest of his life

he's a good soldier and a good leader and he is loved by his fellow tribe members [he's loved by Yona too (￣ε￣＠)]

he's handsome and charismatic and very reliable, when he's by Yona's side, it feels like nothing can go wrong

he's willing to sacrifice himself for the sake of the people he values so much [this has been proven too many times]

he likes to tease the people he's close with, which is kinda cute

5. Akaboshi Bisco (Sabikui Bisco)

he's charismatic and very reliable. when he says he's gonna do something, he follows through no matter how difficult the situation is

he's good at bantering, and his antics with his partner, Milo, is just so fun to watch

he's hot, a badass character and he's red-haired, what can I do? ( ◡‿◡ *)

he has this wild aura and appears rough around the edges but he actually cares

6. Monkey D. Luffy (One Piece)

he's just so funny and cute and an idiot (in a good way)

he loves meat too much

he doesn't claim to be a good person, he just follows what he thinks he has and wants to do

I just can't get enough of him, how can a character be so cold and cute at the same time??

7. Accelerator (To Aru Majutsu no Index)

this character started off as an antagonist of the franchise, he became one of the main characters at a later time but I already loved his character because he's just so crazy and f*cked up

his voice actor is Okamoto Nobuhiko (Bakugo's VA) and he really did a great job of emphasizing the character's personality through his voice

his character development is superb, you'd think he's pure evil because of what he's done in the past but then he went ahead and sacrificed himself for this one child (Last Order)

his ability is vector manipulation. he's the number one esper in Academy City (city where the story takes place). he's capable of making high-level calculations that would allow him to manipulate every vectors that he's so overpowered

his ability became limited when he got shot in the head when he was trying to save Last Order (he had to rely on this so-called Misaka Network) so he could perform his calculations again over a limited period of time

meeting Last Order changed his life, this little girl became so important to him that he would do anything just so she could have a normal life (i always love watching this older guy-little girl relationship especially if the older guy is sort of like a bad/wild character)

8. Levi Ackerman (Shingeki no Kyojin)

who wouldn't love this adorable little man? and yet he's humanity's strongest ヽ(*⌒▽⌒*)ﾉ

he's sassy and a smart mouth and he gets away with it all the time

he's very particular when it comes to cleanliness

he acts so tough but he's quite a softy on the inside (IMO. LOL)

9. Tomioka Giyuu (Kimetsu no Yaiba)

he's socially awkward that it's so adorable

my other bias would be his voice actor - Sakurai Takahiro (just perfect)

the water breathing technique really suits his personality, calm but constantly flowing, quiet but passionate

10. Sawamura Eijun (Daiya no Ace)

i think i already mentioned why i love this character but anyway, he's just an inspiration to me

he's hardworking, has guts, courageous, loyal, passionate

he's just full of optimism and honesty

he deserves better
