SPN moments but abstract [7/?] - The fire that killed Mary

#hellooooo good morning #spn #spnart #spn art #fanart #mine #spn fanart #spnabstract #soooooo. this is the piece of paper i had underneath the one where i painted the warehouse full of leviathans #not for the grey parts but for the red hand. that's what the red smudge is from #the lines in pencil were the sketch for the warehouse #and the black bits were from having this paper also underneath the ones i used for the 3D trueform angel origami star #while i was painting them before folding everything #so after all that i looked at the paper and tried to figure out what i could use it for and this is what i came up with #it's the best way i can articulate that other post i did about how mary's death turned their house into a chapel #which john worshipping a wrong or at best incomplete version of her bc her real self was left in the fire (seen here barely visible #at the bottom) #and the picture of saint mary in the chapel (our lady of fátima vibes for portuguesenatural) is pure and peaceful and idyllic #but what john worships is the cult of violence in her name #while a child takes her place and cares for another child under the knife he gives as an offering #i thought about adding puppetteer hands and strings to this. above and under. but i ended up deciding it was better just like this #so there you have another one #my attempt at articulating the john and mary thesis
