Princess of Asgard
Pairing: Bucky x reader
Warnings: dead parents, forced marriage, smut, breeding kink, kinda AU, pregnancy
Words: 3968
“None of you will be able to lift my hammer.” Thor said, smugly.
“Oh, we will see.” Tony challenged him.
One by one the gathered Avengers tried to lift Mjolnir but of course to no avail.
“Come on Y/N. Now you have to try too.” they tried to convince you.
“No, thanks. Why should I be able to if you can’t? I’d rather not get disappointed.” you sipped on your drink.
“Oh, boohoo. What a party pooper.” Nat yelled at you.
“Okay fine.” you got up from your seat on the couch, swaying a little as you went. Taking off your sweater you gripped the handle with both hands and pulled. You didn’t expect it to move but somehow it did.
Astonished, you stood in front of your friends wielding Thor’s hammer. Everyone’s jaws dropped to the ground.
“That is impossible.” Thor mumbled.
Creeped out by all of this and hoping, if you put it down nothing had ever happened, you let the weapon fall back onto the glass table, which made the fragile material burst.
“Oh, shit! I’m sorry.” you jumped backwards in surprised shock.
And then the questions came rushing out of everyone.
“How is that possible?” “Why you?” “Is it heavy?” “Do you feel different?” yadda yadda yadda.
Completely overwhelmed by all of that you just turned around and ran to your room. Hoping they would leave you alone and drop the topic.
“You fell forward onto your bed and buried your face in the cushions. You needed time to think. The questions the others had asked you were on your mind as well and you tried your best to answer them but that seemed pointless.
Sometime later you heard a knock on your door but you didn’t want to see anyone so you stayed silent, hoping they would go away.
“Y/N. I know you are in there. Please open. I need to have a talk with you.” So it was Thor. You still didn’t wanna see him.
“Friday, please open Y/N door. That would be very kind of you.” you heard your door lock click and rolled your eyes. Well, when he decided to be so rude you decided not to turn around.
You wriggled further into your sheets and didn’t notice your shirt had ridden up on your back. When Thor stepped closer he did notice.
“Y/N, what is this?” he asked but you couldn’t see because he was behind you so you turned to face him. “What is what?” you asked back, confused.
“The birthmark on your back.”
“Oh, that. Well, it’s a birthmark. Nothing more nothing less. Why are you behaving so strangely?” Now he scared you a bit.
“What is it Thor? Tell me.” you demanded.
Instead of talking he started to take off his dress shirt.
“Ehm, Thor what are you doing?” you wanted to know hesitantly.
When it was off you shortly admired his devine physique before he turned his back to you and you gasped. On his back right in the middle over his butt was the same birthmark you had located.
“How is that possible?” you gasped.
“I don’t know but I have a feeling who does. You have to come with me to Asgard. You need to meet my mother.” he stated.
“Ehm, okay. Can I put on some other clothes before though?”
“Of course. I will wait outside.”
You put on some jeans and a sweater because you didn’t know what weather to expect. You laced your shoes and grabbed your purse before heading out onto the hallway.
Waiting there for you were Thor and Loki, to your surprise.
“Eh, hi. Are you coming with us?”
“Of course. I want to know what this is all about.” Loki answered.
You had never used the bifrost before so you were excited and scared at once.
Thor raised Mjolnir and the bifrost opened, swallowing you all, while you clung to the blonde's side.
You arrived by falling out of some kind of portal. Heimdall was already waiting.
“The King and Queen are awaiting your presence in the throne room.” he said monotonously in that booming voice of his.
“Hold on tight.” Thor ordered you and you did just that before he flew you both to the castle. Leaving Loki behind to get there by foot.
“Mother! Father!” Thor greeted his parents when walking into the impressive throne room. You cowered behind him.
“I need you to meet someone and maybe you can shine light on the situation.” he continued.
“Son, it is good to have you back in Asgard. You have spent way too much time on Midgard recently. I missed you dearly. And where is your brother Loki?” Frigga asked.
“I’m here, mother. I cannot fly as you probably remember.” he remarked from the doorway.
“There you are. Very good. So what is this all about?”
“Well, this is Y/N. She is a friend from Midgard.” he explained then he turned to you. “Y/N, would you show our mother your birthmark?”
“Yes, okay.” you turned around and pulled your sweater up. A gasp went through the big hall and then silence followed. It was deafening.
You felt very exposed so you pulled the shirt back down and turned around again to face the King and Queen of Asgard.
No one was speaking. Everyone seemed lost in thought. But you couldn’t take it anymore.
“Okay, can someone please tell me what the bloody hell is going on here?” you screamed, regretting it almost instantly because you remembered who you were standing in front of.
“I’m sorry, just this silence is killing me. Why does Thor have the same mark as me? What does all of this mean?” you apologized.
Frigga got up from her throne and cae down to you. “Oh, my child. I will explain everything to you. Let’s take a walk through the gardens shall we?” how could you have said no to that proposal?
Outside she took your arm and hooked it into hers. You felt instantly comfortable with her.
“So this is a long story but you deserve to hear it.” she began. “Thor is not an only child. You know that Loki was adopted?” you nodded. “Good. Well Thor was actually a twin. And you are his sister.” That was a shock. Like how the hell..? You gawked at her.
“his sister was taken from Asgard when she was only 3 weeks old. We searched for her. Odin set heaven and earth in motion but we couldn't find her.. well you. But we never forgot you.'' She pulled an amulet out of her dress and opened it. Inside was a painting of a little baby. “That’s me?” you asked.
“Yes. I have never taken it off. Not in over 1000 years.” she had tears in her eyes.
“Wait, but how come I have been alive for that long but cannot remember it? I was adopted when I was approximately 6 weeks old and lived with that family until they died in a car crash 6 years ago.” you explained.
“You memories must have been altered by someone very powerful. Unfortunately I have no idea who could have done that and we will probably never know.” for her the situation was finished so you let it rest for now.
“So to sum this up: I am the long lost princess of Asgard? Thor’s twin sister? I have actually lived for over 1000 years? That’s what you want to tell me?”
“That is exactly true. But we will have time to answer all your questions later. Let’s get back inside and plan a feast in your honor.” she suggested, cheerfully.
“A feast? Like a party?” your eyes lit up. “Can I invite my friends from earth? I’m sure they would love to see Asgard.”
“Of course my dear. Anything for you.”
3 days later the festivities were planned, everything was decorated, guests were slowly arriving and the food was smelling delicious.
You were absolutely ready to meet everyone. Clad in finest Asgardian clothes and makeup done to perfection.
“You look marvelous my dear sister.” Thor complimented when you walked down the hallway.
“Thank you, brother. Man, it’s still crazy to say that out loud.” you smiled and took the arm he offered. You two entered the great hall together. All eyes were on you. The long lost princess of Asgard. Everyone wanted to take a look at you.
“They are all staring at me.” you whispered to Thor. “Of course they are. It’s pure admiration. They will love you no matter what.” he whispered back.
You breathed in deeply and smiled in the crowd.
Still nervous as hell you suddenly spotted Steve and Bucky at the bar.
“I’ll be back.” you murmured to Thor over the noise of the music and loosened your arm from his.
“Hey, guys. Thank you for coming. You look very nice.” you smiled at them.
“Thank you for inviting us, doll. It is overwhelming to finally see Asgard first hand. And you look amazing.” Bucky complimented you and kissed you on the cheek.
“I can only agree with Buck. The dress suits you very well. Would you like to dance?” Steve added.
“I would love to dance.” you took the invitation.
He led you to the dance floor, put his left hand on your hip and his right in your left. Your right hand found his shoulder. The music started anew and he began twirling you around. If you admired something, especially in Steve Rogers, was it his talent on the dance floor. You felt like you were floating. He had observed the Asgardians for a while and was now confident enough to follow the steps of their dances.
“You know Bucky likes you? Like really likes you?” he came directly to the point.
“Ehm, I don’t know. Does he? I mean he’s been flirty with me, sure. But other than that.. he never asked me out or anything.” you responded.
“Would you want to go out with him?”
“Yes. Of course. He’s great and I could really imagine something with him. But why are you talking with me about this?”
“Well, I think he is too scared of rejection to ask you out so you might have to ask him,” he clarified.
“Okay. Thanks for telling me, Steve. You’re a really good friend.” you smiled at him and kissed him on the cheek. When the song ended you bowed in front of Steve just like you had seen the other women do.
You decided to immediately go through with your plan and strolled over to Bucky.
But before you could reach him Frigga called for you.
“Sweetheart? Could you come over here for a second? I would like to introduce you to someone.” You sighed and walked over to her.
“Ah there you are my dear. Y/N this is my sister.”
“It’s an honor to meet you.” you responded as politely as you could.
“The pleasure is mine.” she bowed “I’m very sure you would like to be somewhere else right now.” she winked at you and you smiled shyly.
“Let the girl mingle Frigga. She is so new to all of this.” She talked to her sister.
“Oh sure. Off you go my dear Y/N. I will see you later.”
“Thank you, mother.” you nodded in thanks and turned back to go to Bucky.
Just when you were about to reach him Odin called everyone's attention.
“Good evening, everyone. We have gathered here tonight to officially welcome my daughter into her rightful home. Y/N come up here.” he demanded and of course you complied.
“She has finally come home so raise your glasses to the rightful princess of Asgard.”
Everyone toasted to you which made you blush profusely. You hated the attention. So many eyes on you. Hoping it would be quickly over you raised a glass which a nearby waiter had handed you.
The crowd seemed to expect a speech from you so you reluctantly opened your mouth to speak.
“Yes. Thank you father and I thank all of you for coming. The last few days have overwhelmed me greatly. A week ago I was an orphan on earth and now I am an Asgardian princess. I am so grateful for everyone who has supported me through every up and down in my life. And now I hope that you all have a wonderful night. Eat, drink and dance. Have fun. Cheers!” you raised your glass again and the people did the same. Then, fortunately for you, the attention shifted back to what they had been doing before.
You left the stage and pushed through the crowd in the direction you had last seen the brunette super soldier.
But he was not where you expected him to be.
“Na, have you seen Bucky?” you asked the redhead.
“I think he went outside for a walk, said it was getting too crowded in here.” she answered and kept dancing with whomever she could find.
The thanks you ushered her went unnoticed and you hushed past her.
The garden behind the palace was huge and like a labyrinth. You hiked up your dress and ran through the flower beets and bushes until you spotted him, sitting on the bench which had also become your favorite.
“There you are hiding.” startled he almost fell off the bench. “Oh my,” he grabbed his heart to mock a heart attack.
“I thought you had super soldier hearing.” you mocked him.
“Well, yes. But not when I am in thought.”
“What were you so lost in that you didn’t hear me from a mile away?”
“Ehm, I was thinking about you, actually.” he blushed. You had never seen Bucky Barnes blush before.
“Really. Only good things I hope.” you winked at him. “Can I sit?”
he motioned for you to take your place next to him.
“Bucky? I have thought a lot about you recently, too. Do you wanna go on a date with me when we are back on earth?” it just bubbled out of you.
“You are coming back to earth? I thought you were gonna stay here? This being your new home and all.” he looked down to his feet.
“Oh hell no. I mean it’s nice here and all and I would love to visit once in a while but earth and New York is my home. I will never feel fully settled here in Asgard. Plus you are in New York and that is all the home I need.” you leaned over and snuggled into his side. He put his left arm around you and you had never felt so safe before.
“Then back to your question: of course I am taking you on a date back on earth or any other planet you wanna go from here. I will follow you to the ends of the universe.” you felt extremely loved in that moment.
So you leaned up and kissed him on his full lips.
6 months later and you had found a rhythm together as the perfect couple. You were still as much in love as you had been the day back on Asgard.
But that was about to change.
“Y/N. Mother wishes to talk to you. Now.” Thor emphasized.
“Now? I am busy. If she wants something from me she can come down here.” you talked back.
“Oh, trust me sister, you don’t want that. You better do as she wants or there will be consequences.” he looked actually scared.
“Fine! Let's go!” you groaned.
“Mother. What is so important that you needed to see me so urgently?” you asked while strolling into the throne room.
“My dear Y/N. Come closer and sit.” she ordered.
You sat on a chair in front of her and she immediately got to the point.
“Your father and I have found a suitable husband for you. This union will bless Asgard with a strong ally.” She looked pleased with herself.
“Excuse me? What? A husband? I am old enough to find one for myself and I am sure I already have.” you retorted.
“There is no discussion princess. This is not a question of whether you want this or not. It is already settled. Your father is in Vanaheim right now securing the deal. Next summer you will marry the eldest prince.”
“UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES AM I MARRYING SOMEONE I DON’T KNOW OR DON’T CARE ABOUT!!!!! FORGET IT!!! BASTA! I’m leaving now before I do something I will regret.” you yelled at her and stormed off. Through the bifrost and back home.
When you stormed through your and Bucky’s shared apartment doors he knew that something was up.
“Y/N, doll, what’s wrong?” he asked and put a hand reassuringly on your shoulder.
“They want to marry me off to some prince!! Like I am some piece of meat!! Who do they think they are??” you were still so angry.
“They what?? They can’t do that. Did you tell him you had a boyfriend on earth?”
“Duh, of course I did. They don’t care! I feel like I am living in the middle ages right now!”
“This is fucked up! And if we get married right now?”
“Was that a proposal, Sergeant Barnes?”
“Ehm, maybe? Depends on your answer.”
“Of course I would marry you right on the spot but I think that an earth marriage doesn’t count in Asgard.” you said disappointed.
After some minutes in silence he broke it by asking “Then I only see one way out of this. What is a thing that a man can rarely accept when marrying a woman?”
“I don’t know. Do enlighten me.”
“Well, when she is pregnant by someone else.”
Your jaw dropped to the ground. But then you thought it over and you had wanted a family with Bucky anyways so why not now?
“That sounds actually reasonable. You wanna start trying right now?” you winked at him seductively and started opening the buttons on his shirt.
“Who am I to say no to that?” he lunged over and kissed you desperately.
It didn’t take long for you to be rolling naked on the bed. Never breaking the kiss he groped for your breasts because he knew how much that got you running. One hand warm, one cold. The contrast was exhilarating when they wandered down your naked body, over your hips and to your pussy. Spreading your lower lips. “Fuck I know how you I get you wet, don’t I?” he asked rhetorically. You just moaned and spread your legs wider for him.
“Good girl. I would love to eat you out until you can’t take it anymore.” you shuddered at his confession because you knew how good he was with his tongue. “But we have a goal here and I want to keep you as full as possible for as long as possible. You want that, baby? Me keeping you full of cum for days?” his dirty talk turned you on to no end.
“Hmm, fuck yes.” he took that as a go and plunged his dick inside your tight channel.
His movements were slow but precise. He knew how to hit your special spots and make you see stars.
Higher and higher you flew, throwing your head back in pleasure and moaning his name. “Fuck Bucky, harder!” you begged him and he complied. His hip bones left marks on yours and the bed creaked dangerously.
A few thrusts later and you were coming hard, spasming around his throbbing length. “Fuck baby squeezing me so tight. Gonna come!” he groaned, pushed really deep and let go. You shuddered when you felt his release coat your walls for the first time. You had only done it with a condom before so this was new but not bad at all.
“Shit. I thought our sex had been good before but now… wow amazing. I won’t let you out of this bed until you are pregnant. That is for sure.” he laughed.
Well 2 months later and you had succeeded. You were pregnant. No one knew yet but you were about to tell Thor so he could tell your parents.
“Thor, wait up. Could you bring Mother and Father a message from me?”
“Why don’t you come with me and tell them yourself?” he asked.
“Because I don’t know what travelling through the bifrost will do to my baby.” you let out.
“Your baby?” his eyes went wide. “You are pregnant?” he smiled. “I’m gonna be an uncle?” he hugged you tightly and then he realized what that meant. “Oh, Mother and Father won’t be pleased to hear that. You won’t be able to marry the prince now.”
“That was the intention behind it.” you smirked.
“Oh, makes sense. I understand. And although I really don’t want to be the one to bring the news I will because I love you, sister. I’ll be on my way then.”
“Thank you Thor. I love you too.” You stepped back and he summoned the bifrost.
For 4 days you didn’t hear anything from them. Nor did you see Thor. You were seriously scared that they had murdered the messenger.
Then something incredible happened. Your Mother suddenly stood in front of you.
“Hello, my dear.” She greeted you.
“Hello, Mother. You have come down to earth.
“Of course. I want to meet that man of yours. If he is important enough for you to neglect your duties as princess of Asgard, he must be otherworldly.”
“Ehm, okay. Sure. He is the love of my life and I wouldn’t exchange him for the world. Follow me. I will try to find him.” you walked into the compound.
“Friday. Where is Bucky right now?” you asked the AI.
“He is in the garden by the trees.” she informed you.
“Thank you, Friday.”
“What was that? Is that magic?” Frigga asked.
You laughed “No, not magic. Just technology.” You walked out into the garden and toward the treeline.
“Bucky? My mother is here to meet you.” you yelled. It sounded like happy information but it was more of a warning. If he wasn’t ready he could vanish or hide.
But he came around a tree. “Hello love. Oh, your majesty. Nice to meet you.” he bowed down.
“Oh no need for that formality. I am just here to see who stole my daughter's heart. And I can already see why you hold hers.``Then she turned to you “He’s a handsome one, isn’t he? I like him. He suits you.”
She addressed both of you again: “I honestly hope you two will be happy together for the rest of your lifes. Your father and I have talked and we give you our blessing. It was rude of us to assume that we were allowed to intervene in the life of a daughter we have not raised in our beliefs and spirit. We love you too much to lose you again so soon after a stupid argument. We will find a way to come to terms with Vanaheim differently.” she opened her arms and you hugged her closely.
“Thank you mother. You don’t know how much that means to me… to us.” you almost cried in relief.
“But we do have one condition.” your stomach dropped in fear.
“When the little prince or princess is born you come and visit us regularly.”
A weight was lifted off your shoulders and you agreed to her terms.
You were so relieved that everything went this way and you didn’t have to force your way out of this. In the end everything went the way you had hoped it would.

Mischief and Teaching
(or "teaching mischief"?)
Summary: You have a natural talent for Seidr, the magic of the nine-realms. When your powers grow out of every teacher's control, your parents seek help at the palace. Will you find a teacher?
Pairing: Loki x fem!reader
Word count: 1.7k (God, I was so worried I would end up with more than the word count allowed, but I thankfully managed. Phew)
Warnings: 18+ even though there's nothing for this. All my work and my blog is 18+, Minors dni. Apart from that, there's a lotta fluff and humor in this one.
Author's note: This is my first submission for @syntheticavenger's 5K Follower Celebration "How it started - How it's going" Challenge! It's a really cool drabble challenge. Find the post about it here and check it out.
The prompt I received was: "Loki/'Magician's' Assistant'"
Now, I admit that had a lot of smutty potential but for once in my life my brain decided to go down the funny, fluffy road instead of the angsty, smutty one. There's gotta be a first time for everything, huh?
...
Tumblr media
How it started:
“No, mother. I don't have the need for an assistant and neither do I want one. I work best alone,” Loki said, voice tight as he tried to keep his tone polite but firm.
But Frigga kept nagging. She wouldn't be the Queen of Asgard if she gave up simply because someone had told her no. Looping her arm through Loki's she pulled him close to her side as they walked through the corridors of the palace.
“She wouldn't be only your assistant. You would also be her teacher,” she replied and steered him down a wide hall, smiling politely at the Lords and Ladies passing them.
“I don't have the desire to teach anyone. I'm certain she can find someone to teach her elsewhere,” he dismissed.
“I'm not telling you to commit to anything just yet. I merely want you to meet her. She and her parents travelled all the way to the palace to request our help in this matter,” his mother said in an attempt to appeal to him.
Loki sighed, barely keeping his eyes from rolling back in his skull in annoyance.
This girl his mother kept talking about was the daughter of a lowly Lady and her wife. They came from the furthest branches of Yggdrasil all the way to the golden palace just for an audience with the queen.
Frigga was widely known for her magical powers, so she was the first person the family turned to. People rarely requested audiences with the Queen. Usually it was Odin who attended to any matters brought to him by the Asgardian citizens.
Loki felt a spark of satisfaction at the thought of Odin's irritation when someone asked specifically to see Frigga and not him. He was so entitled to his position of Allfather and King of the nine worlds, he couldn't wrap his head around the possiblity that he wasn't all-knowing and not fit for every task.
It was that brief moment of petty joy over his father's irritation that made Loki reconsider his options. Sure enough he was known for his magical powers, even if not as renowned as Frigga. But either way, it gave him something he could hold over Odin's head, something he was able to do neither the old man nor his golden haired brother could.
This opportunity might open up new doors for him in the future and help him build his reputation to, in the end, rise above Odin and his childish ploys or Thor and his brute strenght.
“Fine, I will agree to meeting her, nothing else,” Loki gave in. His lips twitched into a little smile when Frigga smiled up at him widely and squeezed his arm with hers.
“That is all I wanted to hear. I am certain you will like her,” his mother said cheerily and pulled him along into the direction of the potion room where she had told the girl to wait with Thor to keep her company.
“Tell me what I have to know about her, mother. I want to know who I am talking to before I face her,” Loki said just as they rounded another corner and drew closer to the room the girl and his brother were waiting in.
“The girl's mothers are Ladies of lower nobility. Their daughter always seemed to have an affinity for Seidr, but the last years her powers grew and became harder to control. They tried to find teachers to help her, but no one could handle the extent of her powers. They were at their wit's end and the last resort they could think of was the palace. They hoped to find help here, so they came and requested an audience to explain their situation,” Frigga informed him.
“So she's powerful? How powerful exactly?” Loki asked, diggign deeper to get all the information out of his mother he could.
“Powerful, yes. You'll see for yourself. But she's inexperienced. Not one of her teachers could keep her contained for long. She needs someone who is able to hold a candle to her and I daresay you are fit for the job,” his mother answered before finally stopping in front of the room the girl was waiting inside.
-
You heard voices outside the door and started to panic.
The room was a mess, potion ingredients strewn across the floor, broken vials and furniture scattered in the whole room. Your magic was nervously swirling around and inside you, waiting to be used, to help, but unable to because you didn't know how.
“My Lady!” Thor boomed in front of her, his voice nasally and laced with panic. He was sitting on a small stool, his huge frame curled on top of the tiny piece of furniture. “Fix this, quickly! Before they see and-”
His words were cut off by the creak of the double doors.
Silence filled the room and you turned around slowly, face growing hot as you saw the other Prince and the Queen taking in the mess. Their gazes simultaneously moved from their surroundings to you and you cleared you throat as you curtsied awkwardly.
“Your highness, my prince,” you greeted them and then continued to introduce yourself. Maybe you could salvage the situation with your more or less decent manners. But before you could set off to a lenghty apology, Queen Frigga tilted her head to the side and tried to get a look at her blonde son hiding behind you as much as his broad frame allowed it.
“Thor? What in Asgards name are you doing hiding behind our guest? Step up and explain what caused this chaos,” she demanded, her voice not allowing any protest.
You stiffened when you heard Thor get up from the stool and step next to you. You could see him in your periphery and had do bite your cheek to keep from breaking into laughter. Keeping your gaze carefully trained on the pair standing in front of you, you waited for someone to break the stretching silence.
What you saw as you watched the pair surprised you.
Frigga's lips curled up into a smile and she quickly reached up her hand to hide the curve of her mouth behind her palm. The Prince was staring at his blonde brother, lips slightly parted and eyes wide. Then his lips, too, curled up into a smirk, but unlike Frigga he didn't bother to hide it.
“I, uhm... I was just curious and wanted to see what she could do, so we...well,” Thor stuttered trailing off when Loki started chuckling and Frigga cleared her throat in an effort to conceal her laughter. She looked at you and nodded, giving you permission to talk.
“Well, your highness,” you started, laying out your words in a way that would shift most of the blame to Thor. “Prince Thor was curious about my magic, as he said himself and asked me to show him what I was able to do. I declined politely, knowing I am not fully the master of my Seidr but he kept nagging me and gave in. It would be rude to deny a Prince, I thought. So I tried my best, I really did, but... I didn't go that well.”
“Obviously,” Loki stated, gesturing vaguely at his brother whose head at this point had turned crimson. It clashed horribly with the bright purple trunk that grew where his nose was supposed to be and dangled down all the way to his navel. The gigantic elephant ears sprouting from his head not all too unsimilar to the wings of his helmet were of the same vibrant colour.
The raven-haired Prince eyed you closely, his eyes narrowing a fraction. You did your very best to keep the amusement off your features, because really, Thor was just asking for it. He kept nagging you, getting on your nerves until you gave in and gave him a little show of your powers. It's not your fault you couldn't fully control them.
Despite trying very hard to look apologetic, you were sure Loki saw through right your facade going by the almost imperceptible upturn of his lips. He turned to his mother and nodded.
“I'll do it,” he said firmly and unhooked his arm from hers to approach you. He bowed down a little and reached out to take your hand. Bringing it to his lips, he brushed a soft kiss to it and smiled charmingly.
“It is very nice to meet you, My Lady. I have heard of your search for a worthy teacher. I am all too happy to offer you my services as your teacher and master,” he said pompously and you suppressed the urgle to giggle bashfully.
“It would be my pleasure to be your student,” you replied with a smile.
Loki nodded, more to himself than you and said, “You will make for a fine student and an even better assistant. I am sure of it.”
How it is going:
“Quick now! We have to be ready when he appears,” Loki called to you from the other side of the corridor.
You ducked into an alcove and got into position, sticking your head around the corner to give Loki a signal that you were ready. He did the same and then mirrored your movement, silently molding back into the alcove and cloaking his figure with an invisibillity spell he had taught you early on.
The two of you waited, hearts beating faster as excitement took you over, mixed with gleeful anticipation. Your Seidr twisted and twirled under your skin, almost making you vibrate with the contained power. And this time, you knew how to use it to your advantage, how to make it obey your commands and aid you in your often mischievous schemes.
'He's coming' Loki's voice sounded in your head and mere moments later you, too, heard the loud stomp of Thor's steps followed by his entourage of warrior friends.
You smiled gleefully.
'Let's turn him into a real elephant this time'
Loki's chuckle echoed in your thoughts.
'Shall we make him green?'
And again, congrats on 5K! That is such a huge achievement and you definitely deserve it, seeing how hard you work for it through all that content and amazing stories <3
'I'll leave that to you. I am open for anything. A pretty pattern would hurt either' you replied and then shifted into a more alert stance when Thor came closer. Your Seidr spiked with your excitement and when Thor reached the mark you and Loki had agreed on, you got to work.
...
There you go, my first entry! I hope you like it @syntheticavenger, it was a delight to write, hehe.

Sixth Sense - Chapter 4
Paring: Loki x Female!Reader
Word Count: 2,761
Warnings: Character Fake!death, injury and violence.
Posted: 10/01/2021
A/N: This one is based on 'Thor: The dark world'

Thor had taken you to the best healer in the palace. Odin had asked questions but Thor thought it best to let you explain. You had passed out not long after you left Loki’s cell. You had been unconscious for two days before finally waking up. You stirred before sitting up, the nurse making her way to you.
“Are you alright? How are you feeling?” Your nose wasn’t hurting as much, you assumed they used some sort of magic to heal you. Looking down you saw bandages surround your waist. Had you started bleeding? Looking at the nurse you saw how small she was. About 5’5, small face, short blonde hair framing her face, and her dark brown eyes filled with concern.
“I’m fine. I need to speak to Loki.”
“Thor insisted that you rest”
“Well, it’s his fault I’m injured in the first place!” You swung your legs over to dangle on the side of the bed.
“I’m sorry? He didn’t tell us the cause of your injuries. I-I assumed Loki-” You glared at her.
“Loki didn’t do shit to me. Thor threw a punch at him and I took it. That’s all.” You gaze fell as you hopped off the bed. Ignoring the pain on your waist.
“Where’s Thor?”
“Thor has returned to Midgard. He didn’t say where but-”
“Thank you. But I need to check on Loki.” The nurse knew not to interfere Thor had said you were stubborn, so she let you leave. Walking around the palace you decided to go to Heimdall. He could see over the realms, you had to find out what Thor was doing. Making your way to the Bifrost you saw his figure ready to open a Bifrost. Thor must be returning soon.
“Shouldn’t you be resting?” Heimdall didn’t need to look at you to know you were there. A giggle escaped your lips as you walked closer.
“I should, but it doesn’t mean I will.” Stopping next to him, you looked up at his figure. “Where’s Thor? I was told he returned to Earth”
“Yes. He went to find Jane after I lost sight of her.” Heimdall seemed lost. He had never lost sight of anyone before.
“Jane? Wait, you lost sight of her? But you see everything within the 9 realms”
“That is why Thor was concerned for her. I assume the convergence has opened portals to places even I cannot see”
“Can you see her now?” Heimdall ignored me as he opened the Bifrost. Thor and Jane appeared as Heimdall removed his sword.
“Thor! When I’m done with you I swear- Jane?” You stopped noticing the brunette stood next to him. “The- Thor, she has, power within her. It’s the same energy as Loki’s. It’s dark- powerful.”
“You can see it?”
“Yes, but her body can’t handle it for long. Her aura is fluctuating. Her body is fighting it. It will kill her if you don’t remove it.”
“Thor-” Jane sounded timid. You realised your mistake after you spoke but it was too late.
“Jane, humans cant hold powers like that for long, I don’t know what it is, but it’s not meant for humans to wield. How did you get it?” As you were walking to the palace again Jane and Thor explained everything they could. Your tactician senses were kicking in. You knew a power like that would draw in enemies. If it was hidden for so long, you knew it was dangerous. You sensed it. Thor had told you to rest. He said he would take you back to Midgard as soon as he could, but for now he needed to help Jane. That was before the attack. How didn’t Heimdall see it sooner? You didn’t know, but you knew something bad was going to happen. Thor had you with Jane, out of the way. Safe. After the attack, you found out that Frigga had died defending Jane, or at least the illusion of Jane she used to deceive the Dark Elf. The funeral was held later that night. You knew Odin sent a guard to tell Loki of her death. You wanted to check on him, see how he was doing. You knew he loved her, even if she wasn’t his real mother. She raised him as her own. He must be broken.
After her funeral, you had been told to stay put until you can go back to Midgard. You obliged. No one was in their right mind after the loss of their queen. You couldn’t exactly fall asleep until Thor came to you. He needed your help. You followed him until you made it into a room, under the castle, unknown to most of the palace. Heimdall, Sif and the Warriors Three were there. They had a plan to save Jane. Thor walked you through it. When the time came he asked for my company to see Loki and get his help. You were the only one who knew Loki’s true self. He would listen to you. When you entered, you knew it was an illusion, you saw Loki’s aura, but it was against the wall. Not the figure you saw standing there. He didn’t want to show how vulnerable he was.
“Loki enough. No more illusions” Loki removed the illusion and the room was trashed, and there sat Loki, right where you sensed him. He was broken, more broken than you had ever seen him. His hair was tussled. He no longer wore his elegant clothing. The furniture was scattered around him. Things were broken and out of place. Yet the way Thor spoke at him. He didn’t care. He no longer believed him to be the brother he grew up with. He wouldn’t even answer his questions. You got mad. But let him continue either way. Loki then hid his feelings again. Before we left. Getting ready to escape. You walked behind them. Loki was messing with Thor using his illusions. You had to admit it was funny. But you were worried about his wellbeing. Being able to look so, normal. So, mischievous. After seeing how broken he was you didn’t understand how he did it. But you knew you shouldn’t ask. Sif escorted Jane to our meeting point. Jane began speedwalking as Loki went to introduce himself she slapped him. You stood forward but was held back.
“That was for New York” A mischievous grin appeared on his face before he replied.
“I like her.” You huffed but didn’t think anything of it.
“Okay, now that we’re all here- let’s get to that ship” Guards appeared as you spoke.
“On my command” Thor got ready to attack before Sif intervened.
“I’ll hold them off. Take them” She nodded her head to you and Jane. You walked with Thor not before noticing everyone’s threats to Loki. You made it into the ship and Thor had tried to control it, but he was being aggressive with it. He didn’t have the patience. You leaned over him and looked at the console. You pressed what you thought was the engine. The ship started. Thor looked at you confused as to how you guessed it, while Loki looked proud.
Thor had turned the ship hitting every column in the area, but one.
“I think you missed a column.” Sarcasm was dripping from his voice. While you giggled Thor growled.
“Shut up.” Thor had started flying the ship, very unstably. Loki knew he wasn’t capable.
“Look why don’t you let me take over? I’m clearly the better pilot”
“Is that right? Well. Out of the two of us, which one can actually fly?”
“Boys! Now is not the time! We’re being attacked!” You looked at Jane, she looked bad. At that moment she fainted.
“Oh, dear. Is she dead?”
“Jane!” Thor yelled, hoping she could hear him.
“I’m okay” Her voice was weak as she raised her arm slightly before it fell back to the floor. Loki looked behind us noticing the guards ships approaching.
“Now they’re following us.” The ship shook as you heard weapon fire.
“Now they’re firing at us” Loki wasn’t helping Thor’s patience but he was at least making me laugh in such a dire situation.
“Yes thank you for the commentary Loki it’s not at all distracting” His voice was strained, but rough. He manoeuvred the ship around avoiding whatever buildings he could but he hit a statue at its neck.
“Well done. You just decapitated your grandfather” Thor growled lowly before you made it over the waters. The ship was unstable, you had no idea how you were going to get put in this.
“You know, this is wonderful. This is a tremendous idea! Let’s steal the biggest most obvious ship in the universe and escape in that!” Loki raised his voice showing his frustration. “Flying around the city, smashing everything in sight, so everyone can see us. It’s brilliant Thor! It’s truly brilliant-” Thor then pushed him out. You heard his scream and got angry.
“Why did you do that?!”
“We must jump Y/N”
“Ju- You want me to jump?!” Thor had picked up Jane and stood next to the open door.
“Trust me!” You looked at him questioning everything. But you knew he was your only way out. You and ran towards the door, closing your eyes as you leapt out the door. You fell until someone caught you. You then felt the thud of Thor’s landing before opening your eyes. You looked up and saw Loki facing you. He placed you down, struggling a bit with the cuffs but he tried not to show it.
“You lied to me. I’m impressed” Loki smiled in Thor’s direction. Proud of his brother’s deception. Loki started piloting to his secret passageway for us to escape. You sensed many people coming your way. You turned around and saw another Asgardian ship approaching.
“More ships incoming!” Thor and Loki both turned to confirm your inquiry. Loki began to avoid the ship’s attacks while you ducked. You forgot your weapons back on earth. You didn’t think you would need them. Loki turned the ship suddenly heading toward a mountain.
“Loki?!” Thor seemed like he knew what Loki was doing, but you feared he would kill you all.
“If it were easy, everyone would do it” Loki seemed calm. He wouldn’t risk his life over this, He knew what he was doing.
“Are you mad?”
“Possibly” Thor held on to Jane while you held onto the side of the ship. The ship became unstable as he went through the passage until the ship made it to a different planet. You didn’t know where you were but you knew you would need a weapon of some kind. A gun, a dagger. Anything to protect yourself. The ship was gliding to our destination. You had calmed slightly. Seeing Loki’s aura pulse, however, made you concerned.
“What I could do with the power that flows through those veins”
“No Loki, you’re body is already reacting to just being near it. It would not only consume you, but it might kill you. God or not.” Your eyes narrowed towards him, he knew you were serious.
“How is she?”
“She’s holding up alright. For now”
“She’s strong in ways youd never even know”
“Say goodbye”
“Not this day”
“This day, the next, a hundred years. It's nothing. It's a heartbeat. You’ll never be ready. The only woman whose love you've prized will be snatched from you.”
“And will that satisfy you?”
“Satisfaction is not in my nature”
“Surrender is not in mine” You couldn't hear the rest of the conversation. Your mind was focused on the other entities nearby. You tried to count them. You tried to control the power you had, Jane had sensed them to. The aether within her woke her up as dark elves entered the realm. She whispered the name of their leader. Malekith. You exited the ship following the brothers. Loki was still in chains. He lifted his hands, gesturing to his brother to remove them.
“You still don't trust me brother?”
“Would you?” Thor rolled his eyes as he freed Loki of his shackles. He rubbed his hands together before speaking quietly.
“No I wouldn’t” He conjured a dagger stabbing Thor. Your eyes went wide. This wasn’t Loki. Not the one who opened his heart to you just days prior. Thor was thrown off the hill and rolled down. Loki jumped down, ready to attack again while talking to Thor. As Thor summoned Mjolnir, Loki cut off his hand. Your hands covered your mouth in shock. You couldn't believe he would do that. Loki picked up Jane, and held her tightly making sure she couldnt leave his grip. He was bargaining with them. You ran towards them focusing on Thor’s hand, but it was still there. You could see the aura around his hand. It was an illusion. Making Malekith think that Loki was on their side. Malekith removed the aether from Jane. As she fell to the ground Thor yelled towards his brother.
“Loki! Now!” With a flick of his wrist the illusion faded and Thor’s hand reappeared. Loki shielded you and Jane as Thor tried to destroy the aether. Afterwards there was a giant force that would've injured you greatly if it wasn't for Loki. After the smoke cleared you looked up and saw the shards of the aether. It wasn't destroyed, but crystalised. As you three stood up, Malekith absorbed the aether. Making him more powerful than ever. He left for his ship while the others attacked. One of the aliens activated a grenade and threw it at us. Loki pushed you out of the way as it detonated, becoming a black hole, that was sucking him in until Thor flew past and grabbed him. You knew you needed to help. You might be a tactician but you were also a S.H.I.E.L.D agent. You were trained in combat.
“Loki! I need a weapon!” He considered the possibilities before conjuring another dagger and throwing it in your direction. Loki and Thor had the big guy. You had the grunts that were left. You held the dagger in your dominant hand before charging the grunt. You slashed at it’s chest before it jumped back dodging your attack. It attacked you and stabbed your stomach. You almost fell but you needed to finish this, You knew you had to act like Natasha on this one. You wrapped your legs around its head before flipping it onto the ground head first. Which knocked it out cold. You looked around trying to find the others when you saw a red beam destroying the last enemy. Seeing Loki on the ground made you panic. You tried to run over to them as Thor held Loki to his chest. You started crying, thinking of the worst. You made your way over slowly, jogging as fast as you could with the stab wound. Once you got there, you heard his last words.
“I didn’t do it for him.” Loki shut his eyes, as his breathing stopped. You waited for his aura to disappear. But it didn't. Once someone dies, their aura is no more. But his was still there. With tears streaming down your cheeks you narrowed your eyes. He wasn’t dead? But why was he faking it? You didn't know but you knew you had to find out.
“Thor! He has the aether! The conversion is upon us! We don't have much time!” Thor looked at His brother grieving. But he knew he had to fight for the 9 realms. For earth. He found a way to get to earth but insisted you stayed behind in Asgard until it was safe. You would have insisted on going with him but with your injuries, you would be no help. Using Nat’s move probably wasn't best suited for them, but you had to help. You agreed to return to Asgard with his help you made it there safely on your own. Once you got there your head felt heavy from the blood loss. You almost fainted then and there. But you were stubborn. You wouldn't let your body fail you. Not right now. You began walking the long distance over the bridge, keeping pressure on your wound. Ready to return to the palace you were determined to make it. You made it halfway before you saw soldiers heading toward you. Letting your body fall, you knew you couldn't take much more. You passed out before you were picked up and taken inside.

NOTES/WARNINGS: Depression. Thoughts of suicide. Odin is a dick. Thor is an asshole but still cares about his brother. Frigga is a concerned mother but puts the image of the Odin family first. Okay… everyone still treats Loki badly.
AUTHOR'S NOTES: This is my thoughts of what it might have been like if Loki did not let go. This is set immediately after the Bifrost being destroyed. Loki has a lot to sort through...
My Ao3: brightsun_and_darkmidnight
*FINALLY..Read the warnings. Once you agree you can handle it...

"Loki."
He stopped and turned towards Thor with apprehension.
"There is someone I would really like you to meet."
"Meet? Who could you want me to meet?"
Sif and the other three came looking for someone then noticed Loki and Thor.
Thor studied the group and then looked as if a piece was missing. "Where is she?"
Volstag yelled, "She ran off again!"
"Perhaps she just doesn't want to talk to anyone." Sif grumbled in annoyance.
Fandral's charm showed as he spoke with high regards, "She is a shy thing but she is beautiful."
Thor smiled and patted his friend, "Fandral is not wrong." Turning to Loki, Thor smiled. "Have you met mother's new student?"
Loki thought back to the quiet girl that would be seen only with his mother and no where else. "The lady with light brown curly hair?"
Thor smiled, "Yes that one. We all think it would be amazing if you could talk to her. Try to get her out of her shell."
Loki answered with a denial, "I haven't said a word to her, neither did she to me. Now if you excuse me I am going to meet with mother."
Loki walked away with annoyance. "As if I could get acquainted to someone those fools wish me to meet."
-:-
However… Loki noticed how quiet the woman was with all the times she would be present before Loki would walk off. There was something about her that pulled Loki's gaze to her. She was nothing like Thor and his friends. She was quiet, kept her distance, respectful, and she held her head down most of the time. Loki noticed her curly thick hair seemed to always be hiding her face. The most Loki seemed to see her move was to glide her hand over the hair blocking Loki's view. She was indeed shy.
-:-
The only times Loki ever seen her was when in Frigga's presence.
As well as hearing about her constantly running away from Thor, the warriors three, and Sif.
Loki was wondering if maybe he could become a friend of hers. Loki was not one to assume a lady was not able to handle themselves but Thor could be heavily annoying. Perhaps he could learn her secrets of evasion...
Thus, it was a game of trying to see more of the unique woman.
"What are you doing?"
Loki nearly jumped out of his skin at being found but turned with a grin.
"Hello Mother. I was looking for you." The person he was actually searching for was not with her.
"If you are looking for Alexandrite she is in the gardens underneath the elder tree."
Loki fiddled with his hand as he looked normal otherwise. "What would give you the impression I was."
Frigga rose an eyebrow with a knowing smile, "why else would you be sneaking around all of my favorite places to teach?"
"Just looking for you to discuss dinner."
Frigga hummed, "I am certain you know I go to the healing wing at this time. However, I am late so you will do me a favor. It seems to be a coincidence that she is going to be with me for dinner in my study."
Loki's eyebrows raised then furrowed, "I didn't know that."
"Of course you did not. She doesn't know yet because as my favor, you are going to ask her."
"I was asking you for dinner."
"You better go before that girl wonders off, she is very difficult to find when she doesn't want to be found."
Frigga shooed him away and Loki began his search. True to his mother's words Alexandrite was under the tree. He approached quietly but she glanced up from the book.
"Im sorry prince Loki. The Allmother said I could stay. I can leave so you can.-"
"No. Stay." Loki gave her a smile after his quick reply. "You like this spot as well?"
"It very beautiful. Everything is pleasant here."
Loki gestured to the bench, "may I join you?"
Her eye, uncovered by hair, looked near the tree before quickly going to the book on her lap. "If I could stay."
"Of course." Loki sat and watched her read the page of a book. It was an advanced healing spell on transformation. Loki tried to read her face but most of it was covered with her hair. Loki chose not to comment on the book but would ask his mother later. That book Loki put himself into many difficult situations when he was learning how to shape shift.
-:-
Loki had slithered around the garden, awed at how everything in the garden looked so much bigger in this form.
He had finally perfected his shifting with his mother, having worked every day until she was confident that he could do it unsupervised. To celebrate, he decided just to give it a little more practice for the day in the form of one of his favorite animals.
He was, however, surprised at how the sun seemed so much brighter in this form, and decided to make his way to a nice place in the shade to admire the garden from.
He was almost there when a pair of feet appeared in front of him, and a smiling Thor beaming down on him.
Oh great.
“Well hello there, little snake.” He bent and picked Loki up at an awkward angle. “How did you come to be in the gardens?”
Loki wriggled in his grip, trying to get himself down. The more he moved, the firmer Thor’s grasp was, not willing to let him go.
Thor was overly excited. “I should bring you to my brother! He would love this.” Still holding tightly to Loki, he started running back inside.
Loki’s head bobbed to the pace of Thor’s footfalls, making him hit his head every time. It was becoming incredibly uncomfortable to remain like this. He needed to get Thor to put him down so he could turn back. He did the only thing that he could think to do.
He bit him.
“Ow!” Thor only slightly loosened his hold, but kept Loki in his hand. Rubbing his arm, he continued down the hall, at only a slightly slower pace.
Ok, that’s quite enough of this, Loki thought after another few minutes of Thor searching in vain. Thor’s hand had moved and was squeezing harshly on Loki’s lungs now, making it hard to breathe.
A glimmer of gold overtook Loki as he turned back into his normal form.
What is this?” Thor asked aloud as he let go, dropping Loki to the ground as he did.
“Ah, it’s me!” Loki stood, drawing his dagger and stabbing into Thor’s forearm, right over the bite wound. “Next time do not hold snakes so tightly, you fool. You were suffocating me!”
“How was I supposed to know it was you?”
“Well if I used my seidr right, you weren’t, but that’s not the point.”
“And the point in stabbing me was what?”
Loki shrugged. “You made me uncomfortable, I made you uncomfortable. We are equal.”
“This is what you call equal?”
“Oh, stop your sniveling, brother, you are fine.” He slid the dagger away and gestured a hand behind him. “Come on, then, I shall bring you to the healing room.”
-:-
"My mother, I, was wondering if you would like to join us for dinner."
She paused in running her finger along the script. "That is a very nice offer."
A smile was pulling her lips but she frowned. Loki's chest felt a little tight at the sight of the confliction in her lips. Loki shifted to try to ease himself from the sensation in his chest. An ache forming prematurely but hopefully the wrong assumption of rejection.
Her voice was quiet in her confession. "I don't like crowds and I know the dining hall is always filled..."
Loki smiled nervously. "It seems she has already taken that into consideration… She wants to eat in her study tonight."
Loki waited as Alexandrite played with her extremely thick hair. He watched her hair go back to the curls as she pulled on a strand a little. "I think I need to train more. The Allmother is planning on putting me through a test soon."
Loki hummed as he gestured to the book. A silence enveloped the area for a moment before Loki could think of how to get more time with her.
"In transformation?"
She turned her head towards him and his breath steadily left him as a calm overtook him. Her facial features were as if made with soft clay, rounded and curved to highlight her eyes. Her exposed eye was a captivating series of greens and blues. She quickly glanced away and Loki wondered if he stared at her too long.
He hoped he did not offend her.
Although, Loki wondered what the rest of her face looked like. To see both of her eyes must be just as mesmerizing.
Her fingers gliding over an image of a wolf had Loki pondering how many forms she could take.
Finally an answer. "In sorts. She is helping me expand my transformation choices. I am pretty new to this."
Loki smiled at fond memories… "My mother is an excellent teacher. I am sure you will do well."
Alexandrite closed the book and stood with a small, but perfect, curtsey. "Thank you prince Loki. I shall try to make it for dinner. I should go practice before seeing your mother again."
Loki stood as well, "I hope to see you for dinner then, and goodluck."
She bowed her head as she walked swiftly to the farthest exit point that went to a long hall. Loki thought for a moment before going the same way. He was rude to not ask to escort her and he could help her train. Seder was not something to practice alone.
He was about to call for her but she was already gone…

Stranded - 2 of 2 (or 3)
Pairing: Loki Odinson x fem!reader Content: A bit of drama, but mostly fluff. Some errors due to lack of proof reading. A/N: So people liked the original (see Masterlist) and asked for more though I’d meant for it to be a one-shot…and then I thought: why not? There will be one more part after this if you guys are interested, other wise I’ll let this be the last.
Tumblr media
Pacing back and forth, Loki only listens half-heartedly to the nonsensical babble of his friends. Lady Sif is entertaining Thor and the Warriors Three with her latest news from the training of the newest guard – she had assisted Tyr in a mock battle which he and his team had lost.
“Loki?” the victorious warrior call out.
The long strides carries the prince in question to the door where he has to turn around. “Yes, marvellous. Well done, lady Sif.”
Raucous laughter finally causes Loki to pause.
“Oh, brother mine,” the deepest voice hollers, “your thoughts are so far astray a skirmish may break out and you would not notice.”
Fandral, at least, finds a smidgen of compassion. “Is it the fate of the Midgardian that troubles you?”
There is understanding to be found despite the mirthful twinkle in his eyes and Loki admits to the worries. The Midgardian has been called before the All-Father, interrupting the stroll through the gardens that she and the raven-haired prince were enjoying after lunch. The two of them spend nigh all their waking hours in the company of each other as though each day is the last, they have together – it may as well be because lady [Y/N] is bound to return to her homeworld sooner rather than later.
Always. A word spoken so easily, taking their willing hearts captive. But always and forever will end eventually, Loki knows, as his father is ill-inclined to allow the use of Bifrost for the youngest son to travel to and from Midgard once [Y/N] has returned to a home she has no longing for.
“But this is simple!” Despite Volstag’s enthusiasm, the rest of the chamber’s occupants wait silently for him to elaborate. “If you cannot go to her then she must stay here.”
Loki frowns. “As much as I would love this, we all know how Odin’s attitu–“
“Yes, yes!” Fandral picks up on his friend’s idea. “A young maiden can easily be disguised among the people of Asgard or Vanaheim for a while until the All-Father’s attention has shifted and he has forgotten about the foreigner –”
“– at which point the young prince conveniently forgets the cause of his broken heart when he finds a new love,” Volstag completes, the two friends beaming.
…   Reader   …
You had decided with yourself on the very first night in Asgard that you like Frigga. The queen is kind, smart, and wonderfully wise to the point where you’re beginning to suspect that she’s got a lot more to say in terms of the affair of the kingdom than she officially is supposed to. Right now that’s a good thing. Sitting face to face with king Odin all on your own would have been nerve wrecking (the guard in full armour and with a fabulous but rather lethal looking spear might not help either) so you’re thankful for Frigga’s presence.
I wish Loki was here. It’s not the first time the thought presents itself during the audience, but you try your best to keep calm. This is about him too, though. Odin is ignoring that detail quite brilliantly, however, as he talks about your future without pausing for you to get a word in.
The thing is: as a so-called Midgardian, you’re not supposed to have come to Asgard at all. Now that you happen to be there, the quasi-mythological ruler is worried if other people might suddenly pop up from either Earth or anywhere else, really, and as you haven’t been able to  explain how you managed the trip…well, it’s hard to put that concern to rest. The next point that Odin wants to discuss (or rather, monologue) is how you were to handle the knowledge you now have of Valhalla and the “realm” once you do return home. At this point, you take a risk by interrupting the old god to promise that of course you wouldn’t say anything to anyone, and at least Frigga supports you (and further adds that no one would believe you anyways which hurts but is true). Odin? Not convinced.
A song you can’t quite remember enough of keeps bouncing around in your brain: Should I stay or should I go now…unfortunately, you can’t recall more of it so it only adds to your frustration. Seeking Frigga’s gaze, you’re seconds away from losing your temper.
“Perhaps, then, we must consider the simpler of two options?” Frigga winks quickly at you, making sure her husband doesn’t see. “It appears to me the best solution would be to have [Y/N] stay. I am certain that she can make herself useful, and although it will be hard to leave everything behind…it time, she might find happiness here?”
You don’t dare to say anything or even breathe as you wait for Odin to make up his mind.
Tugging softly at the beard, the king mumbles to himself. “It would eliminate the risk of the wrong people obtaining any information, exploiting it…”
“Indeed, dear husband.” Frigga has clearly counselled like this before. “Of course…accommodating lady [Y/N] need not be your concern. Such trivial matters could be dealt with by, say, Loki?”
The beard gets an extra tug before the god lights up with a smile, his eye nearly disappearing between the wrinkles. “He has taken quite an interest in you, has he not?” For a second, you recognize Thor in that face.
“Y-yes, your highness, prince Loki-i is very uhmm kind to me.” Nooo, why do I have to stammer?!
“So it shall be,” Odin declares with a grand gesture, “you must remain here...or on Vanaheim if that is more agreeable. Loki will be informed of this and he shall be in charge of your settlement.”
To his right, Frigga winks again, a mischievous smile at the corner of her mouth. “Do not worry, dear girl, I will be delighted to ensure everything is fine.”
It’s clear the audience is over and you get up, making sure to bow (which makes the king guffaw quietly) and thank them both before you rush out.
Every cell of you is aching for Loki with the exception of your braincells that are working overtime to make sense of what just happened. I’m staying? Odin never asked what you wanted and maybe he knew already from the queen whom you’ve talked a lot with about your home and the situation there, but it still feels odd to have someone else make a decision on your behalf as though it isn’t actually your life at all. But…I wanna stay. Pausing briefly next to a statue of a stern-looking Viking, you feel the warmth of the golden metal reflected in your chest and stomach. Yeah, staying feels right. For a moment, you bask in the soothing serenity that everything only can get better from now on.
But…what if…? A new wave of disastrous possibilities rise to engulf you, drown out the joy. Fighting the tide is useless as you own mocking voice pokes fun at you and questions everything you might just have gained. What if Loki doesn’t really want you around? Or if he does, for how long then? A simple “Midgardian” really can’t hold his interest for very long, the sing-song voice in your skull jeers.
A strong arm wraps around your shoulder, bulging muscles squeezing a bit too tight for comfort as they pull you into the shadows behind the golden statue. Too surprised to say anything, you automatically follow the order to remain quiet whispered by a deep voice.
Thor peers at you with gleaming eyes. “Lady [Y/N],” the whisper sounds like a distant rumble of thunder, “do not be alarmed.”
Easy for you to say! The heart is stuck in your throat, hammering frantically. “Oo-kay?”
…   Loki   …
Urging the stead out of the stables, the young prince resigns to the fact that he will not have a chance to double-check the hastily packed supplies - at the very least the trip to Vanaheim should not last more than a few days, though, now that any official passages are out of the picture.
Loki lingers for a few seconds, looking wistfully at the golden-capped towers of Valhalla before he spurs the horse into a gallop out of the city.
Leaving has never been this hard before. He knows he will return, forced to keep up the charade until the All-Father has forgotten the incident of the Midgardian intruder, but in this very moment, he has left the fate of his true love in the hands of his friends.
The plan is simple. Loki will wait until the cover of darkness at which point Fandral will smuggle [Y/N] out of the castle. Thor will stay behind to distract their father and mother, however in case that is not enough then Lady Sif, Hogun, and Volstag will remain as well to give credibility to any scenario established to throw the king (and potentially Heimdal) off the tracks.
The raven-haired prince prefers to leave with his sweetheart (and argued vehemently for this until Sif commented that he would be the first to be kept under observation as soon as Odin’s mind was made up). No, it will be better that he already is out of sight, and as he is needed to navigate the hidden paths between realms, then this is the only other option.
No rest for the wicked. Anxiously pacing around and around the same tree, Loki’s mind is a mess and his guts are filled with alternatingly lead and butterflies. There has been no comfort in the company of his steed as the animal has found a patch of sorrel collecting the evening dew. Now the last bird sings goodnight, ending its tune on a soft twirdle that echoes through the dusk before stilling.
The shadows grow deep. Loki’s horse decides it is time to settle in for the night, rubbing the saddle that lies on the ground into position before lying down with its head upon the embossed leather. The man walking in circles find no rest.
When a light finally can be seen, moving between the trees as a glowing orb entrenched by sharp teeth of darkness, Loki’s heart stops. One horse. He supposes it shouldn’t surprise him. Do Midgardians ride horses nowadays? A tentative breath makes room for normal breathing until he realizes that the single horse only has no rider while merely a single shape walks beside it. Fandral…where is [Y/N]? It is as though a bottomless crevasse open before Loki’s feet, invisible currents trying to pull him in, making him stagger as he steps forward to wards the blond man.
“Where is she?” Loki is aware how his voice shakes, but it does not matter. “Has Odin sent her away already?”
The mischievousness beneath the gentle smile is similar to Loki’s own, yet he cannot abide the sight of it and nearly looses his temper before Fandral finally answers. “As surprising as it may be, our carefully laid plan turns out to be unnecessary for a different reason. Come, my friend.”
…   Reader   …
You’re steaming with indignation, but thankfully for your surroundings a sense of appreciation for the (misplaced) helpfulness is creeping in…or maaaybe it’s the abashed apologies on repeat from Thor.
He’d scared the life half out of you when he grabbed you, and pretty spot on compared to the myths the guy had carried on with the “plan” without listening to any of the objections launched at him with an increasing amount of violence. Admittedly, your fists probably weren’t the worst pain he’s imagined through his life. It wasn’t until you’d been brought to the rest of the gang that you get a word in, stopping the outrageous escapade.
“We truly were just trying to –“
“I know!” You interrupt Thor a bit harsher than intended. Oops. “I know and I…I’m thankful…it’s just…” you sigh, pinching the bridge of your nose for a moment, “perhaps it’s best to ask next time if the help is needed?”
The blond warrior slash god has the decency to agree before making himself scarce to see if someone elsewhere needs any help.
Left alone, you finally have a chance to look around the room. It’s not your own but Loki’s and although you’ve been in there before, it’s the first time you really have the time to look around – or more correctly, it’s the first time you’re not being distracted by Loki in all his kind and brainy splendor.
Mesmerized by one of the few books you can actually read (honestly, you’d just wanted a peek to see what sort of literature the god likes) the sound of running footsteps barely manage to register with you before the door is slammed open to reveal a dishevelled Loki in front with a Fandral and Thor behind (both looking appropriately apologetic, still).
“[Y/N]…”
The silver tongued prince is rarely in lack of the right thing to say and you would have felt smug about it if it wasn’t for the desperation in his eyes. Large, roaming your face and shape in sign of any sign of distress before they light up with the intensity of a winter’s sun, stealing your breath away and making your knees go soft. An impractical change as you’ve just stood up. But of course, within a split second he’s there, practically sweeping you off your feet and into a lover’s embrace, lips meeting soft and hungry.
When next you become aware of your surroundings, it’s nice to see that the door has been closed to provide the two of you with some privacy.
“I thought…” Loki’s breath fans your cheek and neck. “If only I had dared to imagine father would let you stay…”
Pulling back slightly to kiss his nose, you share the anxious shiver of what could have been. “Your mom probably had something to do with it, to be fair.”
“I shall be sure to thank her.” He is somehow able to lift you and carry you to the bed without getting tangled in the dress you’d been told to wear today by a maid, and for a second it’s like you’re a real princess. “My love.” The plush mattress rises to hold you instead as the gentleman of a god kneels before you. “I could not stand the risk of losing you, not now and not ever…”
Waaaaait a second…
“I have no token to offer you in this moment as a symbol of my undying love, yet I must ask…” At this point you’re certain you feel your brain implode. “Will you take me as your husband?”

I said I have only a general tag list, but then I had a lot of tag requests only for “FANFIC GONE... GOOD?” so I am a little bit disorganized. Thank you and sorry darlings!
Also, we are going to have the next chapter for “Fanfic Gone... Good?” next week, stay tuned! *part 7 is out, check Masterlist*
You eye him while he takes his seat again and notice that the food was left exactly how it was before you threw your little fit. You get rid of that memory and aim for more basic and calm conversation in order to make up for whatever you two fought off.
“So… what is this?” you point to a plate which looked delicious.
“It's a rolled pastry with beef, vegetables, some you don’t know because they're Asgardian and cheese?” his eyebrows furrow at his explanation. “It sounds terribly normal but I have to keep it simple for your Midgardian tastes.”
“I'm fine with everything honestly. And I would like to know more about this one,” you take a bite of the roll and your eyes widen. “It's so goooood,” you throw your head back and Loki can't help but smile shortly at your overreaction.
“Ok, I would actually like to know about everything here,” your eyes scan the table and a hint of pride can be seen in Loki's glimpse. He feels pleased with your own satisfaction.
“There will be enough time.”
You look at him and can't help but feel content at his remark. This has to mean something, he wouldn't keep you with him just to toy with you, right?
“I recommend this,” his golden magic shoves a plate in front of you and you smile.
“It's beautiful.”
“The dish? Well, I wouldn't call it beautif…”
“Your magic.”
He raises an eyebrow and you cough.
“I mean, the colours and the way it works. Better than that blue thingy you have on your scepter.”
The Tesseract? Have you just assumed his magic is better than a cosmic box combined with an Infinity Stone? He shakes his head in amusement at your statement and continues eating his food. Sure, he worked intensely on developing his magic skills while he was “dead” and he reached a point where he can be called one of the best sorcerers in the nine realms, yet he also analyzed the Space Stone and he indeed grasped a better hold on its power. He took his time giving the fact that he was hidden from everyone over the assumption of being dead, but, even if he still needs time to comprehend them, he wanted to show off his new powers. And what wouldn't be a better target than the planet he almost owned and the race that caused his mother to sacrifice herself?
His hatred is paused by another satisfied sound escaping on your lips when you bring a piece of cake in your mouth.
“What did I tell you about…”
“I am sorry but I usually don't eat a lot. And since I wanted this cake so much I should refrain from eating much of a meal before it. You know, counting calories and macros, I bet you don't worry about getting weight and so on. Trivial things for a God right?”
“My strength requires a lot of replenishment.”
“Obviously,” you take another bite.
“I would much prefer you to be as replenished as I am than starving for such an idiotic human goal.”
You roll your eyes and take a bite from another cake.
“You know Loki, life on Earth is really hard. I mean, you underestimate the hardships a Midgardian goes through.”
“Is this why you hurt yourself?” he asks and you stop your fork from getting another piece of cake.
You're afraid to reach this subject with anyone, moreover with the God of Mischief.
“Let's make a deal,” his voice interrupts your thoughts but you still don't raise your head to meet his eyes, “You answer a question I ask and I will also answer one of yours.”
You finally look up at him and chew on your lip.
“I assure you that I can get all the information I need with only a touch, so you should be thankful that I am feeling a little bit… generous today.”
“Ok…” your fingers are starting to fiddle with the fabric of your robe and wait for him to start.
“Why did you self-harm?” the question sucks all the air from your chest and you gulp.
“Life,” the word barely escaped from your lips with a choke.
“You're testing my patience.”
“I'm sorry…” you whisper.
“What exactly in your life made you do that?”
Silence.
“Well, I did warn you,” his body vanishes and by the next second your back meets his chest, one hand wraps around your stomach and the other one sticks to your forehead. You feel a weird pressure trying to get in your head and you lean on Loki's shoulder when your memories start to project in your mind. From high school when comments about your appearance made you starve yourself, to college when you felt useless, stupid and hopeless, to your boring work life. The times your heart broke because of failed relationships, the times you felt your existence a failure to your parents and friends. Nights you barely slept, anxiety attacks, moments you let your blood flood the sink, scenarios on how you could just end your life… he watched everything. You pant when the memories stop and struggle to get away from his grasp.
“No…” a muffled sound meets his neck and he does something you both get surprised of: he hugs you tightly, warmness from his body taking over your, making you totally give in.
“Stop,” his voice is stern and you do as you're told. “I would have done it anyway, sooner or later.”
You lay in his hold absent-minded, realizing that he knows everything now. You are ashamed, embarrassed, you never told anyone details about your depression.
“I am… not exactly proud that I invaded your privacy in this forceful way and pained you by reminding of those…”
“You mean that you're sorry?” you would have laughed at his attempt to avoid this word if you weren't in the given situation.
“I do…” there's a long break and then a soft whisper, “Apologize.”
He would have never said that to a mere mortal. But he can almost feel all your misery radiating through your delicate frame. He now concluded how easily to break you are, not just physically but also mentally. There was a slight panic in his chest when he blood on your skin. He now has second thoughts on this whole matter. At first, he didn't mind breaking you, wrecking you, that was his plan, but now it’s different. Why? He keeps questioning his actions. Why? You're messing his plans, his… crave for power and domination.
“Well…” you shift awkwardly.
He clears his throat and let's go of you, even if the absence of your touch makes him sigh.
“I guess this didn't work as I wanted,” you sit back in your chair and drink a glass of wine to bear with another awkward exchange.
“Let's say I would prefer you not to drink a lot, it doesn't seem like you can handle alcohol,” his hand pushes the glass away. “I will answer some of your questions if you behave.”
You look at him standing to your left and search his eyes. God, how can someone have such a beautiful pair of eyes? The blue irises are like an unknown yet mysterious place that fascinates you, wishing you would never stop falling into their profoundness even if you know it’s dangerous.
“You're staring.”
“Oh, yes,” you break the eye contact. “So, we're in Asgard.”
He nods.
Great. You've been drifted to another realm, though it sounds tempting to explore.
“Probably somewhere pretty far from the palace you're supposed to be at.”
He nods again and sits on the chair near you, prepared for more nonverbal replies.
“What happened to you after the…” you pause, “Avengers crash and so on?”
“Nothing special. Imprisoned and then,” he takes his time to think the answer, “Freed by the oaf of my brother.”
“And what have you been up to?”
“Studying magic and getting stronger.”
“For?”
Good question. He wanted to attack Earth again, revenge his mother’s death but now everything seemed stupid in your company. But why? You are nothing but a mortal, as Thor's lover is. He somehow understands why his brother was so protective of Jane when the dark elves approached. But his mother… Did she also feel as Thor felt? As he still feels now? When she sacrificed herself for a mortal? Was it for Thor's happiness?
Of course, the mighty real son of Odin and Frigga.
No.
He wants to hit himself for a moment that he actually assumed his mother didn't care as much for him as she did for Thor. She was the only one, the only person in his life who truly loved him.
“You…” he snaps.
“For me?” your face contorts in bewilderment.
“No. What's it with you? Is this a trick? Are you sent by one of my enemies? By Father?” he jolts, hitting the chair on the floor and you yelp. “Tell me,” he grabs your chin threateningly.
“Loki… you took me here.”
“Yes, yes I did! Because there is something about you, something that attracts me. Did he cast some spell on you?”
“Loki please, calm down.”
“Calm down?! You dare to inflict me with your affection? Affection? For whom? For what reason?” he’s screaming now and you're shaking at his outburst.
“I'm…” your lip quivers but no words are coming out.
“You're what?” his fist pounds the table.
“Understanding you,” you finally manage to respond, making him frown.
“I know how you feel. You're misunderstood because of your actions. But those actions were simply a reflection of the pain you're going through.”
He laughs ironically, “Understand me? You?”
“I was in New York when you fought with the Avengers. And I saw… your eyes. It was for a couple of seconds while Thor evacuated the building. And I just… felt it… knew it from your eyes.”
“You're completely stupid.”
“Meeting you twice… I will not call it destiny, merely a chance to…”
“To?” his tone is low.
“Know your true self. I know it sounds crazy, who do I think I am? You're a God, I'm a very non-significant human, more non-significant as usual people are. I don't know, to be honest, I am also clueless about my actions towards you. They're just led by… my inexplicable feelings.”
“Feelings?” a strangled sound comes from his throat. “For someone who almost killed you? For a monster like me?” his pale skin changes to blue and the ocean you adore becomes crimson.
So that's how a Frost Giant looks. Nobody from Earth seems to be aware of Loki’s true identity except you. When you were hiding under an office for safety while Thor was fighting Loki, you overheard the small conversation between them, including Loki stating that he's a Frost Giant, a species which they both hated. Your eyes follow the lighter blue stripes on his face and can't help to trace them with your fingers.
Loki's eyes widen and for a moment he leans in to feel your touch but hastily grabs your wrists to stop you.
“I will freeze you.”
You chuckle. “In case you haven't observed, my body’s temperature is literally 15 Celsius degrees.”
He is not amused by your joke and your lips tighten.
“Ok… it was not appropriate for this mome…” your words stop when Loki's hands wrap around your waist and his head rest on your stomach, his Frost Giant form gradually disappears. Unsure about how your movements could push him away, you hesitantly bury your fingers into his hair and gently play with his long black curls.
Your scent is taunting him, you feel like… a place where he'll always be welcomed back whatever happens, a place that waits for him, longs for him... You feel like home.
“You are not to discuss about this moment,” his voice is muffled in your embrace and you smile.
“Of course I am not,” you roll your eyes. “What will happen to your enormously evil reputation if words are out about cuddling with such a weak Midgardian?” you massage his scalp and he hums in approval.
“Can you show me around?” you mumble while you're still stroking his hair.
“Why would you give up your life to accompany someone like me?” he ignores your question and you take some minutes to finally respond.
“Because I have pretty weird standards as you might have already noticed.”
“Indeed,” he agrees and lets go of you. His hand tangles in your hair and pushes your lips onto his, gently tugging on your lower one. His hands travel to your thighs, your muscles tense at his touch. He grabs and wraps them around his waist, jolting you up on the table. Your arms tug his leather blouse, while the kiss is getting sloppy, slow, as if he has to retrace a lost map. His tongue is looking for yours which gladly joins his dance for dominance. You thought this kiss will steal your soul, you have never been kissed like this before, needy but in the same time steady, passionate. His fingers brush your back and you shiver in his arms, moment which he breaks the kiss.
“It's not entirely safe to do so… but take a quick shower and I will show you around,” he grazes his fingers on your right thigh. “A quick one.”
You nod and storm for the bathroom while Loki grins stupidly at your excitement.
What did I get into?
After what lasted like 10 minutes you return to the dining room where Loki sits on the couch, reading a book.
“What are these clothes Loki? Renaissance times much?”
“Those are Asgardian clothes.” He takes a glimpse at your figure and his gaze drops on your revealing shoulders marked by his bites. You squirm uncomfortably under his stare and he stands up.
“You would have to stay near me and don't touch anything or speak to anyone, understood?”
You nod as he grabs your waist and your body feels weightless for some seconds before a weird sensation hits you and you hold onto his shoulders strongly. Your eyes shut close and your breath stops while his arms are now rubbing your back.
“We’re here,” he states and your legs go jelly but he holds you in place. “Breathe.”
He has just teleported the both of you in an Asgardian square but your body is not adjusting really well to his magic.
“I might throw up,” you gasp but a sudden warmth envelops your chest and you instantly feel better.
Did he just use his magic to make me feel better? Oh God, I'm starting to like him more than I already do.
“This is an Asgardian square, though it is not as fancy as it is in the center. We’re in a very reserved place in the mountains.”
You glance at him and gape at his changed appearance.
He rolls his eyes at your reaction, “I cannot be seen here, especially with someone like you.”
His features could be still seen slightly due to his blue haunting eyes which remained the same but he now he has shorter curly copper hair and a beard. His face is less visible from the black leather hood he wears.
“So are we shopping?” you smile widely while you take in the surroundings.
He grabs your hand and drags you back, almost sticking your body to his.
“There are some people here who can feel if someone is not Asgardian.”
“Are they dangerous?”
“They might be. My magic is covering your smell but I would prefer you close.”
You ignore his death stare and return your attention to the blue decorated stands with different objects. The sellers are wearing simple brown and beige clothes. You wouldn't know that they're Asgardians if you weren't on another planet.
“I actually do need some things like make-up? Skincare products? Comfy clothes?”
“I much prefer you naked, body and face.”
You roll his eyes and he tilts his head.
“Did you just…?”
“So if you can transport things,” you interrupt him, “Can't you like have a short trip to Earth and steal a Chanel make-up stand? Or a…”
“I beg your pardon?”
“I was just trying. I mean… since you would do this, at least let it be something expensive.”
“Choose whatever you want from here.”
“Loki… I have no idea what these are… what language is this?”
“Give her whatever she needs.” his gaze fixes the seller and a green glow flashes in her eyes.
“Of course, your majesty.”
Did he just cast a spell on her? Her mind-controlled gaze fixes on your face as she studies it. She quickly packs a few bottles in a box and she handles it to Loki.
“Let's leave.”
“Well if you can steal from a merchant in the square I assume you can do the same to a whole line of cosmetics which probably gains 100.000 times more than this woman.”
“Your tone pet, you better lower it and stop complaining,” he groans and grabs your waist to crash your body into his. For a moment you thought he would kiss you but it appears he’s sensing something and checks his surroundings from the underneath of his hood.
“Loki?”
“We’re getting out of here, now!”

The King of Gods Pt 3
Tom Hiddleston/Loki x reader
Lady Death: My desktop version of Tumblr is acting up, so I can’t tag other chapters like I normally do. So for anyone who hasn’t read previous chapters, check out my Master List.
The King of Gods Part 3
Tumblr media
The light coming through the windows had begun to fade. Along the walls, sconces with glowing orbs illuminated the palace corridors, adding to the strange ethereal aesthetic of the nordic world of Asgard.
Finally, it was time to meet Odin and learn why he had brought you and Loki to a world that seemed too surreal to exist. You followed Elsa as she spoke with Baldur, oblivious to whatever they were discussing. You were too wrapped up in your own thoughts, trying to reason yourself calm, saying that if the king of gods had meant any harm he wouldn't have bothered inviting you both here. This didn't quite feel like an execution, and you had both been received fairly well since arriving to Asgard. Surely you were safe?
But all you could do was wonder. It was more than likely Odin knew what had truly transpired in the palace when Frigga was killed, which was less than comforting. He had thrown Loki out of his home for simply not using better judgement and allowing Hela to come to the castle, which ultimately resulted in Frigga's death. Everyone had originally believed Hela to be the one to kill the queen but now the truth was out. Though it was by her doing, it was in fact Loki’s blade that had pierced Frigga’s heart. What would the king of gods do to Loki now that he knew the truth the god of mischief had gone to such lengths to hide?
You looked up from your feet, trying your damnedest not to be afraid.
Loki didn't need you afraid. He needed you brave.
After concentrating on your breathing- slowly in, slowly out- you let loose one last calming sigh.
There was nothing to fear.
You were both safe and that’s what mattered. Besides, Thor had spent the last few months in Asgard helping soothe over the news with their father. Perhaps this was all a way of easing the tension between them. Perhaps this is what needed to be done for them to all come to terms with what had happened.
Looking up, you made yourself believe everything was okay.
Everything was fine.
That's when you realized Baldur and Elsa, in their own conversation, had began whispering. You tried to discreetly listen, but once they noticed you were paying attention, they both flashed you a quick smile.
“How are you enjoying Asgard so far?” the blue eyed man asked, shrugging the white shawl on his shoulder. “I can't imagine what it must look to a Midgardian who wasn't raised here.”
“Its lovely,” you answered mechanically. Not that it wasn't, the elegance of the smooth marble floors, the high ceilings with golden inlay trim, the glow of the strange light fixtures all added to the awe of the palace.
“I'll have to take you shopping,” Elsa beamed while hooking arms with you. “I’m sure Baldur won’t mind buying you some dresses from the market, would you?”
Baldur narrowed his eyes but ultimately laughed and agreed.
Your unconsciously ran a hand very the front of the gown you borrowed from Elsa, still mesmerized by the simple yet extravagant design. The material was a bit thinner than silk but felt just as smooth on your skin. Around your waist the green fabric was paired with black designs that wrapped around your hips and crawled up your ribs where the gown then opened up to a black metal that pinned the gown together on your shoulders and down your forearms.
In a million years you would never have dreamt you would be dressed like this in the world of gods.
You finally came around the side of the throne room, recognizing. this particular set of columns and tapestries from earlier. The beating of your heart sped up as you realized Loki must be just around the corner. While you appreciated Elsa for all her help, you wanted to find Loki. It felt odd not being at his side in his own world, knowing he must be feeling all sorts of mixed emotions from being here for the first time since Frigga’s death.
Before you could step through to the main hall, Baldur put a hand on your shoulder and gave you a stern look.
“Now, lady y/n. It’s very important that I express a few particulars before you meet His Highness.”
You straightened up to face him, uncertain you could handle any more weight on your shoulders.
“You see, it’s best not to speak when he is speaking to you. If he asks you something or you are expected to respond, do so politely, but also keep it short. He tends to be impatient, so make sure to be on point when you answer. Also, when you first come before him, bow. Proper etiquette is to cross one foot over the other, bow your knees and tilt down your head. Elsa?” You looked over and watched as the lovely blonde did as he instructed step by step, managing to lower herself with extreme grace. “Now you try.”
Your brow creased. Being an American reporter, you didn’t really meet royalty often so while the rules seemed a bit excessive, it wasn’t your place to question their culture. You crossed your ankles, bowed your knees and titled your head. There was an uneasy shake in your legs you couldn’t suppress, poor muscle buildup made you curse yourself for not taking the stairs more at work.
Baldur sighed, “It’ll have to do.”
Your eyes cut up at him, but you kept quiet and waited even more anxiously to go in. That’s when you noticed some peculiar sounds: muffled voices, soft paters of footsteps, even a horn out in the distance.
What was going on in that room?
Weren't you just here to speak to Odin?
Your mind was torn away at the feeling of a hand taking hold of yours. Whipping around on the ball of your heels, you were more than happy to see Loki standing there. He was still dressed in his leather garb with the crown of horns resting on his brow, but now he wore a thicker, heavier cape with golden clasps tying it around his shoulders with a thick chestplate. He didn’t look like just a god. He looked like a king.
“It’s a bit much, isn’t it?” he laughed nervously. You closed your mouth, realizing you had been gawking at him. “But you?” He took hold of both hands, holding them out so he could take you all in. “You look absolutely breathtaking, darling.” Leaning in he planted a soft kiss on your forehead. Just like that, all your worries washed away. You closed the distance between you and laid your head on his chest, feeling the waves of doubt leave you.
Together, you could face whatever Odin had in store for you.
“Well, if everyone is ready?” Thor cut in, taking a short huff while he looked over everyone. Elsa shot him a smile as his arm came out to link with hers. “I think we have put this off as long as we can.”
Loki situated you at his side, linking arms with you just like Thor and Elsa. Baldur went before you all, clearing his throat just before stepping through the curtains. You all followed in step, but as the room before you came into focus you froze.
The once simple throne room was now teeming with people, all dressed in different styled robes, extravagant gowns, and brightly shining armor. Servants in plain colored tunics weaved between dignitaries with trays of goblets, stopping only when everyone noticed you and the others come out. All chatter ceased as the eyes landed on your group.
Being here, standing in this grand hall, it was all beginning to weigh down on you as if the palace itself fell upon you.
What was going on?
Loki must have been equally struck because he unlinked from you to instead lace his fingers with yours. You glanced at him but you regretted it, feeling your stomach flip.
The god of mischief looked worried.
You wanted to say something, anything, to set him at ease but you were cut off by a loud, boisterous bellow. ”And here they are! The Odinson brothers!” Tearing through the crowd was a large man, both in stature and existence. He was taller than Thor with long white hair pulled back in a braid that matched the thick beard that hung down his face with golden beads clipped in it. His smile was wide while his eyes scanned over everyone.
You also couldn't help but notice the thick scar that etched it's way across one eye to the bridge of his nose. Despite the mark or maybe even because of it, the older man's features were overall striking and handsome. He had Loki's high cheekbones, Thor’s square jaw, even favoring Baldur a bit. But despite their similarities, there was something that set him worlds apart from his sons.
Behind that smile, you sound see a slight hint of threat. Like a tiger, calm before an attack.
“Your highness,” Baldur greeted with a head bow. You saw Elsa curtsey but your knees wouldn't cooperate, softly trembling beneath you threatening to buckle at any moment.
Odin practically looked through Baldur to his sons, Thor being the first to tilt his head in acknowledgement. “Hello, father.”
When he looked to Loki, all he received was a dry, “Allfather.”
The king's face was unreadable at that but then he began beaming to them all. “It does an old man's heart good to have his family together.” He winked at Elsa who offered a small smile before he locked onto you. “So. You must be the infamous Lady y/n I have heard so much about.”
His fierce eyes were a strange golden color with a pale glow underneath.
“I am king Odin of Asgard.” You were taken off guard when Odin offered you his hand, feeling chills just being this close to him. It was as if the air around him gave off a foreboding tension that warned you to stay away. “Come, child,” he spoke, pulling you out of Loki's grasp. “We have much to discuss, you and I.”
Odin began steering you through the crowd who gave you both ample room as he brought you towards the massive throne altar at the head of the hall. There was a strange sense of dread inside of you as you kept pace with Odin, not daring to look back to see Loki. You were afraid that if you did, you would lose what little nerve you had left.
“You know, Thor has told me a great deal about you,” the king commented. You hesitated, unsure if this was a moment you needed to answer or stay quiet. “There must be all sorts of questions running through you mind since you’ve arrived to Asgard. Surely there’s something you’d like to say?” You peeked up at him, his smile still there while he waited for you to say something. “Are you afraid I’ll bite, Lady y/n?”
“No,” you lied, feeling yourself tense under his glowing stare, “No, I'm not afraid.”
“Good, good,” he spoke. “Because I could understand why you would be nervous, my dear.” His keen eyes sharpened as they took you in, looking you up and down as he added, “After all, if I am to understand Thor correctly, you’re the reason my only daughter is dead.” At the mention of Hela, it felt as if your heart had all together stopped beating.
This time he didn’t wait for you to answer, instead, letting go of your hand to leave you at the base of the altar, wide eyed and breathless. He took a few long strides up before turning to address the room.
“And you, Lady y/n, are the reason my son has returned home. So for that, I am grateful.” You felt Loki and the others filing in at your side as Baldur went up to stand with Odin. “So, I’m sure you are both wondering why I have brought you here. You see, after learning about some of the dealings that have happened on Midgard regarding three of my children, and finding out some new revelations about the death of my queen, I thought it was time we all came together. Wouldn’t you agree, Loki?”
Loki stared up at Odin, his silence a sort of answer in itself.
The mass of onlookers somehow seemed to stop existing in that moment. You, Thor and Elsa looked between Loki and Odin, waiting on something to happen, for one of them to say something first.
But it was Baldur that broke the silence. “Prince Loki Odinson of Asgard,” he started, “Your father, King Odin, called our realms together in order to proclaim before the courts that he has decided to forgive all of your past offences.”
At this the crowd cheered, like an orchestrated show they chanted out their praise. Odin raised a hand, silencing them instantly.
“That’s not all,” he claimed, his eyes still set on Loki. “I am also asking for you to forgive me, Loki. In my own sorrow and pain I cast you out without so much as a word or trial. That was wrong, my son, and I see that now.”
There was a spark of hope in the depths of your soul that you couldn’t hide. You looked up to see Loki, expecting the same hope to be lifting his spirits.
But to your surprise, he looked just as stern. “Of course,” he answered solemnly, “You have my forgiveness, Allfather. Is that all?”
You inhaled sharply, stunned at the brashness of his words. Looking back up at Odin you could see a plain aggravation darkening his eyes. But he didn’t speak on it, instead saying, “No. It’s actually not.” Holding out his arms, again addressing the entire room, Odin let his voice carry as he went on, “Prince Loki Odinson, my youngest son, I brought you to this kingdom as an infant. My beloved Frigga looked after you like her own, and together we raised you into what I see is an exemplary example of what a god should be. I see now, despite all your faults, that you are in fact someone who is worthy of all the riches in all the nine realms. That is why I am presenting you with this,” he turned to Baldur who gave Odin a large golden staff that held a large bright red gem on the tip. You could tell Loki's body went rigid at the sight of the scepter though couldn't place why. The king held it out and slowly, and Loki made his way up the steps before kneeling at  his father's feet.
You watched what looked like a rehearsed ceremony, with Odin speaking some type of slavic sounding language you didn't recognize. You heard the crowd repeat a phrase back to the king, just when he handed off the staff to Loki. He took it and rose before turning to face the room, his green eyes searching yours as the masses began to roar.
“What's happening?” you asked, seeing Loki’s obvious strain. His jaw was clenched, his mouth a straight line. “What are they saying, Thor?”
Thor and Elsa remained quiet, their own faces stoic as they looked past Loki to the only smiling face on the altar: Odin.
“Now that all this official business is taken care of, I believe celebrations are in order! Drink and be merry, my kingdom!” He wrapped an arm around his son's shoulder, but Loki's stance and expression stayed the same. “And sleep well tonight knowing your crowned prince has returned!”
Another roar from the crowd erupted, with people behind you moving around and the sound of music being played. The noise didn't die down, even with Odin leaving behind the altar to go somewhere out of view. Loki, in a hurried step went after his father. You had begun to follow when Thor grabbed hold of your wrist.
“Y/n, you need to keep your wits about you,” he warned, “This isn't Midgard.”
You didn't understand or care about the god of thunder’s cryptic message, this was all too confusing, and something wasn't right. You pulled your hand free and followed where you saw Loki pass through the curtains.
Behind the throne, separated by thick curtains, was a small sitting area that you had to imagine was used for the royal family to escape from guests. Just as you stepped inside, you heard Loki's familiar voice carrying above all else.
“How DARE you!”
“How dare I?” Odin responded indignantly, letting out a huff just before lifting a golden chalice to his lips. He took a messy gulp, finishing its contents and wiping the remnants off with the back of his hand. “I offered you the entire nine realms and you accepted. What is there not to understand? You have always been impossible to please, my wayward son. You don't want Thor to have the crown, but you refuse to take it? What have I children for, if not a one will take on my legacy? What has all this been for if no one will uphold my name?”
“I don't want your crown! And if you are so worried about someone carrying on your so-called-legacy, perhaps you should have given your name to the only child who ever wanted it!”
Loki's response had truly struck you. You didn't know what was going on, but evidently something had thrown him into a rage, you had only truly experienced a few times yourself.
As you tried to make sense of it, his words echoed in your mind. Who did he mean?
“You!” A hand roughly grappled onto your shoulder and brought you out through the curtain backwards.
“WHAT THE F-” A hand slapped over your mouth hard enough to sting your skin.
“If you wish me to move my hand,” you heard mumbled in your ear, “Then you are to remain quiet.”
It was Baldur, standing with his body perfectly hiding you between the crowd and the curtain he had pulled you through. You nodded, practically shaking as his hand removed from your face. It took everything in you not to punch him or curse, but you managed to keep quiet behind your icy stare.
“What were they saying?” Thor asked you, ignoring the looks you and Baldur were sharing.
“I didn't really get much before someone yanked me out. Something about Odin leaving the crown and no one wants it?.”
“Thor, what's going on?” Elsa asked, making you more nervous.
“Yeah, I'd like to know, too.”
Loki cut in, his long fingers wrapping around your upper arm to begin to steer you away. “We are retiring for the evening,” You stumbled but then picked yourself up, having to change your gate to match his fast step.
“Loki?” you called out to him, but he kept moving, diving deeper and deeper into the crowd. You barely noticed the scepter in his hand when he pushed other’s aside, one by one, each offering their congratulations.
One struck you when they cheered, “King Loki!”
At some point he grabbed a goblet from one of the waiters and passed a second one to you. You took it, nearly spilling it all over your dress as you both flowed through the masses.
Finally you were able to take a breath as the people faded out. On the outskirts of the crowd, you snatched your arm out of Loki's grip.
“What the hell is going on!?” you demanded, setting your still full cup on another server's tray. “Why are you so upset? Why is your father giving you a glowing stick?” Your brow furrowed. “And why is everyone talking about crowns, heirs and kings?”
His green eyes locked on you and for the first time all night you realized you had never seen Loki stay in his true self for so long. Usually he was in his midgardian form, as Tom Hiddleston. But here in Asgard he was allowed to be whom he always was. The god of mischief.
And possibly something more.
“Y/n…” he started but stopped. Loki took in a deep gulp of his drink as his eyes scanned around the area, possibly trying to remember his way around the palace after being gone for so long. “I have something I would like you to see.”
You were surprised by his invitation but when his hand came out for yours, you let him lead you, more gently, back through the tapestries hanging between the hall and the side corridors. The further you got away from the throne room, the less people you began to see before finally the paths were clear of anyone all together. After about twenty minutes of solid silence, you noticed the scene around you seem to age. Rather than golden detailed inlays with white marble flooring, the walls began to resemble more ancient palaces. Stone walls, dark wood and boarded up windows eventually began to narrow and lead up stairs.
Loki finally stopped and looked back at you when the two of you came to an old wooden door. As he unveiled a key he seemingly pulled a skeleton key out of thin air, he spoke. “I am so sorry. This must truly be strange to have to deal with and I know I’m not helping. I’m going to tell you what’s going on, I promise, but first.” He pushed the door open. “I wanted to show you something.”
Your eyes were focused on him even as you took your first step into the room. When you turned to see where he had led you, you were speechless.
Though the walls were smoothed stone like the pathway here had been, they were not bare. Instead, they were painted in deep blues and violets, inter changing with black and magenta all swirling around each other. Sprinkled throughout them were orbs like those hanging in the rest of the castle, glittering and glowing in mixed yellow and red hues.
Your head tilted all the way to see the crescent shaped skylight in the ceiling before coming back down to take in the room. It was neatly kept with a large desk, several overfilled bookshelves and a modest bed in the corner. Loki walked past you to the desk. He leaned the staff against the wall then started going through the bottles and papers laid out.
“This was my room,” he told you nonchalantly without looking up from the papers. It struck you because in all these months with him, Loki rarely shared things from his previous life with you outside of small comments here and there. But now, he was showing you his bedroom. You walked over to the bookshelves, running your fingers over the bindings, picking up thick layers of dust. It wasn't hard to imagine no one had been here since Loki's exile.
When he didn't speak again, you made your way to his side to slide an arm around his waist. You gently leaned against him, your head nestling right under his chin.
“Y/n…” he started. But again, he went quiet.
“Loki, this has been a very…. trying day,” you explained while trying to remain calm, “I have had to leave my job, jump across the universe, and get used to being in a completely foreign world. I have heard a lot of things that aren't quite making sense and I really REALLY need you to explain what is going on. Your dad asked us to come here after talking to Thor about Hela and Frigga but somehow it feels like we were just thrown in some sort of ceremony.” You reached up and made him face you, doing everything in your power to soften your nervous  tone. “Please tell me what is going on.”
It surprised you that the god didn't pull back from your hand, or even look at you with some sort of command behind his eye. Loki wasn't the type to be told what to do and you certainly tried not to push anything that could anger him, but something was wrong. Very wrong.
Loki looked worried.
Finally, he broke the silence, “Darling, I love you. I love you so much that I couldn't imagine not having you...” His face lowered to yours, brushing your lips just as his hands took hold of your hips.
He pulled back, just enough to press his forehead against yours.
“Why won't you tell me what's happening, Loki?” Your voice cracked but you didn't look away from him, even as tears stung your eyes. “I need to know, please, I won't be upset, but I can't handle not knowing...”
Taking in a deep breath, Loki closed his eyes while he tried to figure out his next move. Rather than stand still, you backed away, leaving his hands to fall to his side.
“Tell me.”
When his eyes opened you saw the resolve behind his stare. But you also saw something else, something you couldn't quite place.
“Allfather tricked us,” Loki said with a calmness that render you speechless. His hands came up to cradle your face, his stare intensifying. “He didn't bring us here to handle any of our old matters. He had Thor bring us to ask me if I would take the crown, or rather...” He inhaled sharply, speaking quickly, “He named me the crowned prince. As of right now I am to inherit Allfather's namesake.”
You didn't mean to, but your eyes teared up. You just couldn't comprehend what he was telling you, this made nonsense. You had only came to handle the matters about Hela and Frigga. What did this mean for the two of you?
“Loki,” you managed, after biting down on your lip. “What exactly are you telling me?”
There was a moment where your entire relationship with Loki passes before your eyes. From the last time the two of you laid in his hotel bed, to the times he visited you at work, and even the vivid memory of the initial Interview that lead you both to this moment.
Right here.
Right now.
“I love you, y/n...” You could see Loki was seeing the same things, or at least his eyes reflected the pain you were feeling. The incredible sense doom that was coming.  “But I …  I'm not going to be able to return to Midgard…” .
Without physically touching you, his words had punched you in the stomach.
This was it.
This was a goodbye.
You choked, trying to keep the tears from falling down your cheeks. You avoided his eyed, turning away with all the strength you could muster. “You won't be able to return to Midgard,” you echoed, wishing you could go numb. A knot formed in the very out of your stomach, stiffening up to your chest.
There was no way to know how long the silence carried because to you, your mind was loud. Thinking about your life before you had met Loki. Could you go back to life without the god of mischief? Could you be the person you were before you got to wake up every morning to those stunning green eyes?
Some part of you, deep down, had always thought things were too good. You always believed that this was not a permanent sort of life for you, that eventually, the god would leave you behind.
It had just come so abruptly with no warning.
“Y/n,” Loki whispered, his own voice cracking, “Please say something.”
“I don't really know what to say,” you admitted. “Should… should I leave?”
He looked offended you would ask, dreading his brow. “No? No, I don't want you to leave. Quite the contrary…” To stop from blurting it out, Loki bit down on his lip. He took hold of your chin, slightly tilting your face to his. “Darling, I want you to stay. Here. With me.”

For me, this whole Odin hates Loki, Loki hates Odin thing is just some family issue. Loki was mad at Odin for lying about his heritage, and everything else. And when he fell from the bifröst, it was actually just unfortunate that he was captured by Thanos. I never interpreted Odins 'No, Loki.' on the bridge as a 'he-gave-Loki-up'-thing. Loki probably interpreted it like that in this moment. We know that Loki is the sensitive type and he probably completely overreacted. He hadn't thought about the consequences, he probably hadn't thought at all. He had just reached the point where he thought that he did something unforgivable and that Odin would abandon him. But maybe, that wouldn't have been Odins intention. Just remember when Loki found out. He was shouting at Odin. Not Odin at Loki. Odin never stopped loving Loki, but Loki thought he did. Edit: I just took a look at the scene at the bifröst and Odin clearly said 'No...' in a way that shows that he never wanted to lose Loki as his son. All these 'my son's were meant serious towards Loki.
When Loki returned to Asgard after the battle of NY. You can say that this time, Odin was totally mad at Loki. I think, that he would have acted different when Loki wouldn't have fallen into the void. It clearly was Lokis decision to let go and this is what made Odin so angry. Because he probably knew that Loki was more intelligent than this. He actually even trusted Loki to take care of the Throne. Because Odin knew that his Odinsleep was lurking around the corner. So, why banishing Thor to earth when he knew that he would need a replacement for the time he would sleep? He knew that his wife would stay by his side or would give one of her sons the opportunity to show that they know what being a king means. A mother would show her trust in her children when she knows that they're ready. And Frigga did that. She handed the throne to Loki cause she knew that he would be capable of handling the situation. She trusted him. Odin probably knew that, too, but hadn't thought about the possibility that Loki found out who he really was during their visit on Jotunheim. He thought that he can send Thor to earth as a lesson to learn responsibility, still being able to hand the throne over to Loki in case he would pass out into Odinsleep. Heimdall probably told him after Loki had returned to the palace what had happened on Jotunheim and that he knew that something was wrong with him. Odin followed Loki into the vault, wanting to stop him from figuring out the truth. I don't say that Odin still wanted to keep it a secret, but he probably wanted to explain it to Loki, maybe he even told Frigga what happened, so she would talk to Loki about it. But Odin was to late when he entered the vault and Loki overreacted. He was mad, confused and just didn't knew what was going on. He is sensitive, so his emotions took over and prevented him from thinking and staying calm. Odin was also not prepared for this talk and he already was drained from not falling into Odinsleep. Lokis outburst at him was to much and he couldn't stop himself from passing out. Leaving Loki without any good explanation why he kept the adoption a secret. And it is like Loki said, talking never was their family's thing. He never really gave Odin the chance to give him an explanation. They've never talked about it.
So, when Loki returned to Asgard as a criminal. It's Odin who is mad. Mad at Loki for behaving like an idiot. For running away. For never giving him the chance to explain himself. He is completely mad at Loki for not even offering him the opportunity to talk about it. I think that Odin had been afraid of the thought that he lost Loki forever. After all, he raised him as his son, he loved him as his own son. I think that Odin even forgot that Loki actually wasn't his real son. And in the flashback in the vault, we can see this love. He raised both as kings. Thor as the king of Asgard and Loki as the king of Jotunheim. He hoped that at one point, that those two, raised as brothers, would be able to finally bring peace between those two realms. The only problem was, that he probably didn't know how. But anyway, I think that Odin was shouting at Loki because he couldn't express his feelings better and there is also the fact, that they were in public. There where guards and other people around, so he had to act like people expected him to. He sent him to prison as a punishment. Maybe Odin also knew that Loki had been controlled and just wanted to make sure that he would be completely free from any foreign influence before he would try to talk with Loki. Maybe that was also the reason, why Frigga visited him from time to time, to look how he was doing. Not only to talk to him about everything what happened, but also to make him stay sane. After all, Loki still loved her as his mother, but he lost all his hope that everything would turn back to normal. Personally, I think the fact, that Thor showed up to get Loki's help against the dark elves was the moment, when Loki started to hope again that everything could turn back to normal. He didn't wanted to disappoint his brother and did everything to keep Jane safe, he went so far to sacrifice himself to safe Thor's life. He probably just didn't calculate that he would survive this.
So, he decides to return to Asgard to tell Odin that he had died. He probably wanted to see the joy on Odins face. He wanted the confirmation that Odin stopped caring for him. But when he came back, he got a different reaction. He got a Odin who was still caring for him. A Odin who couldn't believe that one of his sons was dead. Odin did mourn him, probably showing his true face for the first time to someone who wasn't part of the family. I think that he started talking about Loki as his son, how he was never able to really talk to him, because they were both two big idiots. It's like Hela said, Loki sounds like Odin. Thor also said that Loki would be the better king. They both are right, cause Loki and Odin were similar. I can tell you from my own experience with my father, that this is realistic. All my friends say that we sound similar, but I have a completely different attitude than him. When we want to discuss something, it always ends in shouting at each other. We can't talk to each other on an equal level, cause we can't give in our argument. And it always ends with me, being completely mad at my father for the rest of the day or for the next few hours. I can relate to Loki not only because I know how this arguments can be like, but also because I am a sensitive person and also act without thinking in those moments. I need time on my own to proceed things and I think that it's the same with Loki. When he heard Odin talking about him with so much regret and emotions, he started to panic. I think that Odin probably said something like that he would have been a good king if he just would have listend. That he could have changed Asgard. That Thor could have lived on Midgard with Jane if Loki wouldn't have died. If everything hadn't gone so terrible wrong. That Loki would have got the chance to prove himself as the king of Asgard while Thor was away.
All this confessions made Loki insecure about his plan to disappear and hiding from Thanos. Odin probably knew that the guard was Loki, cause he knew this guard pretty well and he also knew that no one went to Svartalfheim since Heimdall had betrayed him and disappeared. I think the moment where Loki showed up as the guard and Odin says his name, it is not only the fact that he knows who had died, but I think that he also wanted to greet him. I can only theorise what had happened, but either Odin knew that it was Loki standing in front of him or Loki felt sorry and let his illusion fall. In this case, Odin also told him that he is to old for being king and that Thor probably won't show up in the near future to take over the throne. Odin indirectly implies that he gives Loki the throne, cause Frigga still had trusted him and believed in him. Loki puts Odin under the spell, hides them under an illusion and brings his adoptive father to earth so that he can live peacefully during his last years. Alone the fact that Odin just let Loki stay in his position as king of Asgard after he broke the spell, shows, how much he has still trusted him. He could have returned to Asgard, but he didn't. He stayed on Midgard.
Everything was fine from that moment. They had settled out their differences, their misunderstandings. Loki ruled Asgard in the name of Odin and did a good job.
The moment where Loki and Odin meet each other in Norway again after four years and Odin tells Loki that it took him a while to break free from his spell, you can see how sorry he was for him, but also surprised that he admits his skill, also when he says that Frigga would have been proud. But I also interpret this as Odin's way to tell Loki that he is proud of him. I think that in the end, they both came over their dispute and rage on each other. Both were just two stubborn idiots who actually still loved each other as father and son. And even when Odin preferred Thor over Loki, he still loved him and I bet that Frigga sometimes preferred Loki over Thor, because that's how family works. You have fights, you have up and downs, you have times where you just hate each other. Nothing is ever perfect and I think that Odin had learnt his lesson with Hela, so, he didn't wanted to make the same mistake twice and abandon one of his sons. I think, the line '...who melted this old fool's heart.', can be interpreted as a statement from Odin that he never gave Loki up even when it looked like it. Yeah, it's a line in the play, but why should Loki choose such a line when it isn't the truth? And Odin says it: He loves both his sons.
That's the way how I interpret their relationship. I never saw it like others see it as some kind of 'Loki completely broke up with Odin as his father' and the fact that he calls himself 'Odinson' in IW doesn't show that he had accepted Odin as his father, it just shows that he never considered himself a Laufeyson. He even killed Laufey and the only reason he hesitates in front of Thanos is, because he wanted it to be dramatic and made sure that Thor knows that he always would be his brother. The assumption that Loki would call himself no longer Odinson after he discovered that he is adopted is completely bullshit. Yes, he tells Thor, Frigga and Odin that they're not his parents/brother, but wouldn't that be a normal reaction of someone who suddenly finds out that he is adopted? The problem with Loki in this case was that no one talked to him properly, telling him that nothing would change, that he would still be their son no matter what would happen.
Edit: This is just ONE way how I interpret Loki's and Odin's relationship as father and son. I have other interpretations as well. But this is my favourite of them all.

Loki Imagine - Ready, Set, Past! [PART 2]
[PART 1] [PART 2] [PART 3] Warning: INFINITY WAR SPOILERS ⚠️ angst, offensive language
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Your P.O.V.
Everything around me had a very strong blue hue. Lights were twinkling here and there, rather softly. I saw hints of violet and pink and then I recognized what I was looking at. Space. I was sitting on something soft and almost cold. It felt like wet grass, which was nice. The setting I found myself in was calming, so peaceful. It felt great.
I took a deep breath, allowing the cool air to fill my lungs. As I exhaled, I let go of my worries as well. My entire body began to relax, little by little, so I could focus on the reason I was here. This was a dream, a vision.  Now that I was as calm and collected as I could be, I got into action.
‘‘Who is it?’‘ I asked the person who wanted to reach me. So far, I hadn’t seen anyone at all. Considering most of Asgard was gone, it could be anyone. Deep down in my heart, I hoped it was Loki. Everything around me was so quiet. I even held my breath as I tried to listen to someone. I got nothing at all. Although I wanted to get in contact immediately, I knew I had to be patient. “Loki, is it you?” I dared to be more straightforward. All of a sudden, the stars froze. Everything stopped moving completely. It felt like time stopped entirely. Honestly, it got kind of eerie.
Focus!
“Loki is not here but I am here for him” A sweet, familiar voice answered me. My heart skipped a beat as I heard her. It was Frigga! Why was she contacting me? Where was Loki? Damn, I had so many questions.
Suddenly, all the blue turned into warmer shades. I saw beautiful golds, yellows, and reds. A white light appeared in front of me and out of it stepped Frigga, looking like a true goddess in a big, golden gown. It’s like she was glowing. Seeing her again was truly an honor. “My queen” I breathed out in slight shock. Then I cleared my throat and told myself to focus. I couldn’t afford to screw things up. “I know that Thor and you have gone through much. You are on the right path” Frigga spoke so softly but at the same time, she revealed that they knew what had happened. So they were watching over us.
“Is Loki alright?” I wanted to know. Perhaps I could get some peace if I just knew he was in Valhalla with people who cared about him. My question caused distress on Frigga’s face. Her gentle smile faded and she looked away. The stars of the galaxy reflected in her eyes now that she stared into the distance. “Loki is..in a difficult situation. The tesseract led him to a special path” She explained to me. What the hell was that supposed to mean? Was he alive? “I know it’s difficult, my child. But I have important news for you” Frigga changed the topic although I could tell she too was worried.
No matter how hard I wanted to question her, I didn’t. I had to listen to what she had to say, what was so important she met me in this vision. “Tell Thor to let you off on Midgard. If you hurry, you can contact the man who owns the time stone. I can’t reveal everything to you, no matter how hard I wish to do so” Frigga stopped, taking a deep breath to collect her thoughts. I just nodded, taking mental notes for myself.
“You must lose in order to win” She got poetic with me. Lose? To win? It could mean so many things but she said the word ‘order’ so it must’ve been my duty to figure it out. The bright white light appeared behind her again. It was so bright I had to narrow my eyes so it wouldn’t blind me.
“Thank you” I thanked the queen for the precious information she gave me.
“Good luck, do us proud” She nodded before stepping into the light and disappearing. I simply blinked and so, I found myself in the pod.
Thor was staring at me with knitted brows and..two eyes? “Woah” I breathed out as I saw his eye. How did that happen? It looked yellow.
“You were acting weird. Did you have a nightmare?” Thor asked me and it seemed like he was genuinely concerned. It touched me because now, all we had was each other.
“I had a vision, a visitor from Valhalla. What..where did you get that from” I told Thor, unable to ignore he had a new eye.
“The sweet rabbit gave it to me” Thor let me know and smiled. I had to admit it suited him. He looked less like Odin now. Then I remembered what Frigga had told me.
“You must drop me off on Midgard, now” I was quick to continue. Now even Rocket turned to look at me.
“You god-people are weird” He muttered to us. Both Thor and I looked at him, making him turn around slowly with a guilty smile. Thor and I might’ve looked stern, but it was difficult to be upset with someone that adorable.
“I am Groot” Groot told Rocket that he’s the weird one. Their relationship reminded me of a father and a son relationship. And Groot was having a hard teenager time.
“Why Midgard?” Thor ignored what happened so we could discuss my vision.
“I need to find a man who owns the time stone” I let him know. It’s like Thor remembered something as I said that.
“Y/N! I know who owns it. He’s a wizard. Loki and I...err- we met him, briefly.” Thor revealed some great news. At least, they knew where to drop me off.
                                      As we flew past Midgard, they dropped me off to New York. Then the three of them continued their quest to get a ‘thanoskillinghammer', which would most likely be something like Mjolnir but hopefully stronger. I was wearing my armor which didn’t fit the Midgardian style, which was the least of my worries. I looked at the piece of paper with the address  177A Bleecker Street on it. It seemed like I was right in front of the house and it seemed quite different than the rest of the buildings around it. It had to be the right place.
So I knocked on the door and quickly changed my clothes, casting an illusion of the clothes I saw on a passing woman. Now I had a white, tight dress that ended slightly above my knees and red heels on my feet. It felt a bit odd but I didn’t care about that. I had more important business to take care of. “Who is it?” A man yelled from inside.
”Let me handle this, Tony” Another man said more calmly. The next thing I knew, I stood inside the house. The housekeeper teleported me inside but I was used to such things. Not on Midgard though.
“Asgardian, what are you doing here?” A man with a blue outfit and a fancy red cape asked me. I also saw a necklace hanging around his neck with a golden piece on it. That had to be where he kept the time stone!
“Asgardian?” Another familiar voice said. That sounded like Bruce! It was him indeed. Bruce Banner was dressed in some new clothes. He looked like he has showered as well. He walked further inside and stared at me like I was a ghost.
“Hi, Bruce” I smiled softly at the man I had gotten to know during the events of Ragnarok and whatever the mess was on Sakaar.
“You know her?” The man I assumed was Tony asked Bruce. If I remembered right, Tony was Iron Man, one of the Avengers. The only one I didn’t recognize was the wizard, the one I had to speak to.
“I’m Y/N, Goddess of Time, Order and Space. I come for Asgard. My people are dead, only Thor and I..we survived, at least to our knowledge” My voice got caught in my throat for a second. Once again, I was faced with the awful truth that Loki was gone.
Bruce’s expression turned blue from sadness. Even he had begun to like Loki. “Oh no,” Bruce breathed out before looking away.
“I’m Doctor Stephen Strange. It seems you’re aware of my stone” Stephen clearly figured out why I came. Although I wasn’t completely sure, I had a feeling I had to do something with that stone. Perhaps I could get power from it? Or maybe I could use it to create something. I knew I wouldn’t take it from him, which would be wrong. I just had to do something.
“Yes. I’m not here to take it from you. I was curious to see what I could do if I combined my powers with it” I decided it was better to be honest with him instead of coming up with dumb lies.
“Where’s Thor?” Tony asked me, arms crossed and all. I faced the Midgardian bluntly. Loki had told me a lot about him.
 “He’s heading to Nivadellir. He should be there soon, he’s getting himself a new hammer” I filled him in with details.
But he seemed even more confused. “A new hammer? What happened to mjol..njiln..you know, the hammer?” Tony attempted to say Mjolnir which turned out to be a challenge. It actually made me smile a little bit.
 “His sister destroyed it. I assume Bruce has told you about Hela and Ragnarok” I looked at Bruce who then nodded, confirming my suspicion.
Then I faced the wizard. “Are you willing to work with me? I just need to hold it. Perhaps the stone will guide us from there” I asked him and hoped he’d be willing to cooperate. He seemed quite hesitant but I could tell he wanted to do the right thing. I could almost hear his thoughts but I didn’t focus, thinking it would be rude.
“Fine but it stays around my neck” He sighed, finally.
“Thank you” I nodded and decided to get ready. I let go of my illusion so I was back in my Asgardian clothing. I did one little change. I took my cape away and replaced it with Loki’s which looked great with my golden armor and the black leather clothes I had underneath. Our style was quite similar only I used more blue than him.
“Is that like an Asgardian dress code? You know, with all that gold and green-” Tony wanted to know. I knew he was innocent but it still bugged me for I had to answer him. “Loki’s colours” My answer was short but it was enough.
I heard Bruce whispering to Tony: “She’s Loki’s wife, Tony”. Loki’s wife. Hearing that made my heart clench.
“So you know what you’re doing?” Stephen questioned me as I stared at his necklace.
 “Trust me” I nodded and so, he moved his hands in a certain order. The necklace shifted slightly and revealed the green stone that had a beautiful glow to it. Although he didn’t tell me of any spells, I knew he had a spell on it. Nobody could take it from him and it was wise. Now that I was staring into the green light, everything else disappeared from around me.
It felt like it was just me and the stone. As the Goddess of Time, I felt a connection to the time stone. Slowly, I reached for it. At first, I only brushed it with my fingertips, afraid I would do something wrong. Then I dared to put my palm behind it. Now my hand was tingly but I didn’t mind the odd sensation. Finally, I dared to close my fingers around it so I was holding the stone firmly.
The second I did that, I gasped. The tingly, odd sensation spread to my entire body. My eyes widened and everything turned white. I had no idea what was going on but I trusted the stone, I trusted Frigga. The white light began to fade and I noticed a new surrounding around me. Everything was green. Through the beautiful shades of green, I saw people.
Loki!
My heart jumped to my throat as I saw my husband. He was standing on a rooftop here on Midgard, dressed in his full armor with his helmet on his head too. Loki was holding the scepter and then I remembered this setup. Once again, I was forced to see the past, this time, the attack of New York. The one thing Thanos forced Loki to do which sealed his faith. Now that I saw it like this, it felt even more awful. The chitauri was destroying the city and I saw the original Avengers, Thor included, defending the people.
All I wanted to do was to run to him and embrace him in my arms. I wanted to stay with him, make sure he was alright. My heart yearned for his, to hold him, feel him and hear him. My eyes watered as I stood there and held myself back. This was not real. This Loki was upset and he wasn’t thinking straight. I had to be careful - vision or not.
As I looked at Loki, I saw past his vicious smile. He was terrified of failure. He knew Thanos would put him through hell. I saw my husband but I also saw strings attached to him, strings that Thanos was pulling. I began to walk closer to Loki until I was right beside him. The green light faded and it felt like I was actually there. I smelled the smoke in the air, I felt the vibrations from explosions all around us. I heard the screams of horror. It was so real.
I reached out for Loki and finally touched his shoulder from behind. He turned around immediately, looking at me in shock. He was looking straight into my soul and it sent shivers down my body. How did this feel so real? I just wanted to hug him and hold him close. I didn’t want to leave his side. Although this was a terrible day, it was better than whatever was going on in the present.
“Loki” I whimpered his name sadly, tears stinging my eyes now.
“What are you doing here, Y/N? You should be on Asgard!” Loki asked me worriedly. He didn’t have to say it for me to understand. He was afraid I would get hurt. This Loki didn’t know that I knew about Thanos, everything. But this Loki was just an illusion the time stone had created.
“I love you” I pushed the words out of my mouth. Saying it made me feel slightly better, for when Loki died, I didn’t return the words. Thanos hadn’t allowed me to do so and I would forever hate myself for that. What I said clearly went straight to Loki’s heart.
“You’re acting weird, what’s going  on?” Loki noticed I was different. That’s when a couple of tears decided to roll down my face. I just couldn’t help myself!
Silently, I wrapped my arms around Loki’s waist and nuzzled my face against his chest. I heard him sigh before he hugged me back with one arm. This simple gesture alone caused goosebumps to rise all over my skin. I could live in this moment forever. Everything was so close to reality, even his scent. This time, I couldn’t smell blood. It was just him. He was all I needed.
“Loki, I know this isn’t you. It’s Thanos” I revealed my knowledge. I had to remind myself I was working, no matter how hard it was.
Loki looked down so he could face me. I swear, he turned pale once I had mentioned the titan’s name. He seemed terrified of the fact I knew. “I..this..I don’t know how to explain it. Time is a strange thing” I chuckled sadly as I tried to speak. I had to think of what I could tell him. Would it be smart to explain what I already knew? I had to find answers, now. I wasn’t sure if I would get a second chance.
“Y/N” Loki whispered my name as I let go of him. Now I looked around us. The time stone wanted me here but why?
“I’m going to put an end to this but you need to help me” I cleared my throat and got serious. Then I began to walk towards the door. This was the Stark tower.
“Y/N you need to explain what’s going on!” Loki growled, clearly needing answers. It was almost funny how his illusion was so much like him. All of a sudden, my surroundings changed. I found myself up in the air by the portal in the sky that allowed the chitauri army to come to Midgard. Loki was beside me and we were both floating.The air was colder up here and the portal’s energy felt odd. Yes, I had been high up before but now that I had little control over everything, it was slightly scarier. The ground was really far away and we were right next to a portal to space.
“They come through this. The chitauri army leader leads to Thanos” Loki explained to me. I knitted my eyebrows together and faced my husband. It’s like all of a sudden he knew to help me. “He doesn’t have any infinity stones but I have two, one in the tesseract and one in the Scepter. Nobody knows that yet” Loki kept speaking, giving me very important information. But as he spoke, I noticed how broken he was. Seeing him like this reminded me of old times. I had been his shoulder to cry on so many times and he had been mine.
“I promise you, Loki, I will do everything I can to..stop him” I stopped myself before I would ruin things. Yes, I knew it was an illusion but it was the closest I could get to Loki. I didn’t want to straight-up tell him that Thanos would destroy everything.
Thanos would kill him and I had just watched it happen..
Once more, our surroundings changed in the blink of an eye. At least we weren’t floating in the sky. It was a much darker place. We were on some kind of a spaceship that looked like a huge floating rock. The stars were twinkling around us beautifully but nothing felt right. I saw a weird creature in front of us. He had a black hood on so it was hard to see any details. As I glanced at Loki, I noticed he grew tense. This had to be one of Thanos’ children.
“Loki” I whispered and grabbed his hand nervously. Loki gave my hand a light squeeze and kept me close to him. Everything around us was so cold now. No matter how well I knew this wasn’t real, I couldn’t stop my heart from pounding against my chest or my breath growing heavier. I had no idea what would happen and it was scary. I didn’t want to see Loki getting hurt. I just wanted to see him well and happy.
“Y/N, I need to give you something” Loki revealed, completely ignoring the third person on this space rock. Then he stepped in front of me, facing the black-hooded creature with his back. What the hell?
Once we locked eyes, the dark space around us disappeared. Everything was green again, looking like we were inside a green rhinestone or something. It was breathtakingly beautiful. There were so many different shades of green; forest green, jade, emeralds. Loki smiled softly and moved his hand. His fingers moved gracefully and then he connected his palms, making it look like there was a ball in his hands. As he took his left hand away, I saw something resting on his right hand. It was a golden ring with a green jewel on it. Although it was simple, it was absolutely gorgeous.
Silently, I let him grab my hand and put the ring around my ring finger. It was a perfect fit. As it sat in place, I felt oddly relaxed. The ring was clearly made for me and it did something weird. It felt right in a warm way, giving me the confidence I didn’t know I had. “I’m counting on you, my love” Loki whispered quietly. “To do what?” I wanted to know. Now Loki cupped my face very gently, his touch making my heart race. Did I need to say once more exactly how real it felt? “First, you must lose to win. Then fix things but not from the present. Fix it from the past” Loki delivered a message to me that had important meaning to it. Everything signed me to look in the past but now it was just obvious.
I didn’t question him any more. Loki leaned close to me and his nose brushed against mine, which tingled slightly. “I love you” He whispered very quietly but I heard him since we were so close. Finally, the gap between us disappeared as our lips crashed passionately. That triggered my emotions and tears began to roll down my face, making this kiss quite bittersweet. I tried to hold onto him and savour the sweet kiss but nothing good would last forever.
Just as I attempted to deepen it, he vanished. I had leaned against Loki so now that he was gone, I nearly stumbled. A second later, I saw Stephen, Bruce, and Tony all around me. My hand was still holding onto the time stone and it was burning hot. I winced in pain as I let it go. As I looked at my hand to see if I had a burn mark, I saw the ring which truly surprised me.
“Oh my god” I gasped and stared at the ring Loki had given me. How did it transfer from my vision to reality?
“What just happened?” Tony was the first one to speak. I was speechless. Yes, I wanted to answer him but I didn’t find the right words. That had to be the most realistic vision I had ever had and also the most emotional one as well.
“Loki...I saw Loki” I found some words. Then I began to feel dizzy. It wasn’t clear to everyone that visions like that were energy drainers. Bruce noticed I was struggling to stand so he grabbed my shoulders to keep me up.
“Come on, you need to take a seat,” He told me and kindly guided me to the nearest couch. I was grateful for that, truly. Bruce was a good man.
I knew I needed to calm down and collect my thoughts but I was shaken. I could still feel Loki’s touch on my body. “My god- Y/N, you’re trembling,” Bruce told me worriedly. I faced my friend and saw how concerned he was. This was probably extremely weird for a mortal like him.
“The time stone. It...It took me to Loki. He gave me this” I let the trio know about the mysterious ring. Then I showed them my hand with the gorgeous ring.
“How did you get something from a vision to here?” Stephen wanted to know. He was obviously just as confused as I was. Oh, how I wished I had an answer for that.
Before I could reply, an explosion was heard from outside. It was followed by screams of terror and honking cars. What the hell? Had Thanos reached Midgard already?
“They’re here” I gulped, not sure if this would end well. “Who?” Stephen and Tony said in unison, both needing answers. It didn’t take long until I sensed the intruders’ presence. “Thanos’ children. They’re coming for the time stone”

MY THOR: SEXUALITY EDITION.
short version, thor is pansexual and has a fairly active sex life in most verses.  he was never taught to distinguish based on species or race or gender in his romantic or sexual proclivities.  he is attracted to whomever he is attracted to.  that’s it.
he is naturally dominant but loves it when his partners switch things up but any time he’s playing bottom it’s generally just that, he’s letting it happen because he enjoys it but he is …. an asgardian, a god, a warrior and it takes a considerable amount of restraint on his part not to break role and … er.  conquer.  he loves the dynamic of a power struggle, because it’s such a give and take and yeahhhhh sometimes he can be all about what he wants or needs but most of the time if everybody involved isn’t happy and satisfied and well worn out by the end of it what was the point in the first place.
he will sleep with more than one person (threesomes etc) if all parties are actually consensual and honestly fine with it.
he does not have to be in a relationship to have sex with someone.  however if he is in a relationship with someone he will be very unlikely to sleep with anyone else unless it has been discussed / agreed upon / approved / okayed whatever.  he considers himself to be honorable and trustworthy and it would probably take actual magical influence etc. for him to cheat on his partner.
kinks, toys, roleplays, fetishes, whatever – bring ‘em on.  he’s been around 1500 years.  he’s rarely surprised by sexual desires or interests and always happy to explore - you never know til you try.  i’ll dig up some of the nsfw / kinks / do’s / don’t’s lists to expand on this sometime today.
he can range from slow and gentle, tender and sweet and body worship to full on power struggle rough sex and everything in between.   it’s all about what his partner wants and can physically handle tbh.  and his mood.  a lot of it is mood.  even if he’s really good at hiding stress and anger (sometimes) from most people or in most situations etc. anything he’s feeling tends to come out in his sexual relationships.  if he’s angry, or stressed, he’s going to be more dominant and leaning towards rougher play.  feeling happy, in love, etc. it’s going to be more switch-y and softer, more intent on the pleasure of the act than the … uh, end goal pleasure.
pretty much the only thing Thor will not ever participate in is nonconsensual sex.  this includes relationships with people that are under whatever age equals consent - physical or otherwise.  there is a clear line for him about when someone is mentally capable of making a conscious and informed decision about sexual relations and that also extends to someone who is drunk or under the influence.  if they have not expressed interest in him prior to being inebriated / high he will find a way to politely decline / extricate himself from the situation / do what he can to make sure they are safe until they are sober et al.
I am open to the idea of a female Thor under certain circumstances.  aka where it is handled with the appropriate care - god or no, asgardian or no, you don’t wake up in a different gender / get cursed to a different gender whatever and not have some mental or emotional backlash from it.  yes it leads to other possible plot lines etc which is fine and cool and I’m down for pretty much anything plot wise you guys should know that by now but.  it won’t just be a random oh now he’s a female, moving on, zero repercussions.
some other ship mentions under the cut.  tw.
do i ship Loki & Thor? maybe.  it entirely depends on my partner and writing chemistry and ooc conversations / compatibility.  i am not against writing incest ships, i have a couple, but it really just depends on the history and story line and where they are in terms of plot, timeline, relationship etc.
i won’t ship Thor & Odin or Thor & Frigga.  pretty much any other ships are up for discussion.

Visiting Asgard
Pairing: Thor x Reader Warning(s): None Summary: You are a princes of Muspelheim and you have come to visit your mother in Asgard. It is a drastic difference from what you are used to, but it’s amazing. However, you weren’t ready for what would greet you later that night. Words: 2728 A/N: This isn’t all I wanted it to be. {pt. 1} {pt. 2} {pt. 3}
Tumblr media
Your eyes were darting around in amazement as you looked around Asgard. This was your first time ever visiting, and it was everything you expected and more. Everything was so shiny and golden. That was a drastic change from all of the dark stone that your father's realm had been.
Originally, you were Asgardian, but your father had taken you back to his home realm for you to grow up. After spending nearly a millennium there it was time for you to spread your wings and see what the other realms had to offer. What better place to start than at Asgard; the most glorious of them all? Besides, your mother would probably be thrilled to be able to see you in her own home realm.
As you were walking along the rainbow bridge (it was so weird to stand on) a man passed you. You couldn't help but stop to stare at him. His muscles were on show outside of his armor, and some of his hair was out of place beneath the helmet. Putting it in layman's terms, he was attractive. Before you could even think of opening your mouth to speak to him, one of your guards urged you forward with a hand on your lower back.
A small sigh of exasperation left your throat, but you allowed them to lead you towards the palace. That was a drawback of being a princess. Your father felt that you had to have protection everywhere you went, even though you could protect yourself on your own. He should have known, considering he was the one who had put you in the sparring lessons. You were a capable young woman able to handle your own battles... and conquests.
You rolled your eyes to yourself before plastering a bright smile on your face. This place was beautiful, as were the people, but this wasn't a trip just to have a little male company. You were here to visit the realm and your mother. You repeated this to yourself as you passed more of the men of Asgard. They really were everything that you had hoped for and more. You took deep breaths and continued the pleasant walk to the palace.
Once you got to the doors, you were stopped by multiple sets of guards guarding the door. "State your business here." One of the guards ordered while looking at you and your guards.
They didn't allow you to speak; instead, your biggest guard took a step forward, intending to intimidate the slightly smaller man. "Let us pass immediately." He growled with an aggressive look on his face. While you were used to the men of your realm acting that way, the guards of Asgard weren't. The guard puffed up and moved his weapon into a more ready position. Obviously, you were going to have to intervene.
You took a step forward and in front of your guard to try and get rid of some of the tension. "I apologize good sir, for the behavior of my companion. I forget that not all of Asgard are used to the nature of my people. I am (f/n) of Muspelheim." Immediately, all of the men stood taller at their posts and gave you looks of respect.
"M-my apologies for my lack of manners princess. Right this way." The other guards moved aside and opened the doors of the palace. The guard who had spoken moved to guide you through the entrance. You gave him a smile in thanks before following along with your guards not too far behind.
The inside of the palace was even more beautiful than the outside. All of the tall pillars and decor was magnificent. It was such a difference from all of the black and red that you were used to seeing in Muspelheim. You couldn't help but look around in complete awe.
The walk through the palace was much too short for your liking, but a blinding smile came to your face when you were greeted with the sight of your mother standing and waiting for you in a room they had taken you to. She returned the smile and moved to greet you halfway. You grabbed her in a tight embrace that she returned tenfold. "Oh, my daughter! I am so glad that you have come to visit me! The all father only just explained that you were coming a short time ago." The smile didn’t leave her face as she pushed you away to get a good look at you.
You laughed joyously while looking her over. You hadn't seen her in person for quite some time. Seeing her through messages was nothing like having a chance to have her with you. "I intended for it to be a surprise. Father allowed me a visit and I just couldn't pass up a chance to come and see you. I have missed you mother."
"And I you. Come, come! I must show you to your room to prepare you for the feast." She cried in excitement while pulling you along the hall. She was surprisingly strong for her calm looking exterior. Being a hybrid of Asgardian and Fire Giant should have made you much stronger than her, but apparently not. It shocked you, but also made your smile widen.
Hours later, you were dressed in the proper gown for the feast that was prepared in your honor. The material of the robes was like nothing you had ever felt before. They were so fine that it didn't feel as if you were wearing them at all. If being in Asgard meant that you would continue to wear gowns like this, you'd be happy to stay.
Once your mother had finished fixing your hair into something more appealing, she put your crown on top of it, causing you to roll your eyes in slight annoyance. Wearing a crown or gowns wasn't something that you liked to often, but you knew it was custom for a guest. You had to show your status, especially since the feast was for you specifically.
Your mother noticed your annoyance and giggled softly. "Something is the matter, I can see it in your eyes." She commented while stepping back to make changes as you saw fit. There was no need, however. She had done a superb job.
"It's nothing mother." Her eyes narrowed and her eyebrows rose to her hairline. There was no way you could lie to her. "Well, I just think the crown is a bit much, as well as the robe. I'd much rather prefer my trousers and armor. I've grown quite fond of the feeling of them in Muspelheim." Your father had wanted you to look like the princess you were, but he also knew that you were who you were. Your mother, however... that was a different story entirely.
Her eyebrows went down in a frown as she looked at you. "You are a princess (f/n). Is it such a bad thing that you wish to show off the beauty that you inherited from your mother?" A smirk was on her face as she said it. You laughed and your mood brightened.
"Not at all mother."
She continued. "Well then I see no reason for you to hide your beauty under such manly attire. Wearing this, you will undoubtedly be the highlight of the feast."
You shook your head. "I have to disagree. I get all of my from you, therefore I fear you'll be getting more attention than I. It's about time you found someone to settle down with; give me a sibling before you swear off children for good." Her cheeks flushed lightly as she laughed along with you.
"I should be telling you the same thing! You have yet to find someone to bind yourself with for the rest of your days. I am millennia old and you are my only child. Perhaps you will find a nice young man to settle with at this feast." She waggled her eyebrows, causing you to shake your head and laugh again.
"You know as well as I that father wouldn’t allow me to marry someone without a substantially high title. He is probably searching for a prince to wed me off to as we speak!" You were completely against being wed off just for the gain it would bring your kingdom. All you wanted to do was marry for love, but your father wasn't able to see that properly. The differences between your mother and father were what brought them together, initially, but it was also what tore them apart. You hoped to never have to go through that situation, hence why you were still all alone.
"Well there happens to be a prince here. I'm sure you know of him." Ah, yes. Prince Thor of Asgard. You hadn't ever gotten the pleasure of seeing him in person, but you had heard of his greatness. You couldn't say that you hadn't been impressed with him.
You nodded. "Yes, I am aware of Thor."
"Well then you must know that he will be attending your feast?" She said with a suggestive look on her face. While you had known that it was custom for the host's family to be at the feasts, you hadn't really thought that Thor would be there as well. Now you weren't all that upset about wearing the gowns your mother had forced you in. It wouldn't hurt to try and impress the prince while you were here.
"Well... let us not waste any time then." You said while standing and smoothing down the nonexistent wrinkles in your gown. You avoided eye contact with your mother as you heard her laughing at you.
She mumbled something to herself as she took your arm and le you outside the room. Your guards were immediately leading you to the ballroom where the feast was being held. You were determined to have fun on your visit. Maybe you'd be able to speak with Thor and make your mother happy as well.
As soon as you stepped into the ballroom, the all father commanded silence. You had a pleasant smile on your face as you walked your seat near the head. Of course, Odin was at the front with Frigga next to him, and on the other side was a gorgeous man. He was so good looking that you sucked in a sharp breath in shock. You had not been expecting this god that was seated at the table and watching your entrance. If you had thought the common people of Asgard were good looking, they were nothing compared to what was waiting to greet you at the table.
"You're staring." You mother whispered lowly in your ear, yet she somehow managed to still sound smug. Immediately, you looked to the ground and away from his mesmerizing face. Well, this should have been expected. He was the best warrior of Asgard, of course he would be all muscle and devastating good looks. You were sure that he went through his fair share of women.
Once you got close, you and your mother curtsied politely. He nodded in approval. "Greetings princess (f/n). We are delighted to have you as a guest in our palace. Please, accept this feast in your honor." When he finished speaking, both your mother and yourself stood to look at him.
"I am most gracious for this feast that has been prepared for me, and I thank you for your show of hospitality." Both the king and queen nodded their heads at your thanks.
"Please sit, and let the feast begin." He said while gesturing to the seat that was close to queen Frigga. It was the closest to the head of the table, but not so that it still showed who the one in power was. You were used to this and smiled politely as you sat down with your mother right next to you.
As soon as Odin took a bite of his food, everyone started to eat. Your eyes were nearly sparkling with all of the choices that were in front of you. They had spared no expense. There was so much food that you were frozen and couldn’t decide what to eat. Your mother, noticing this, leaned in close to you and gave her opinions on what would be the best to eat. You piled them onto your plate and began to eat with as much grace as you could, which wasn’t very much considering how amazing it all was. You couldn’t help but pack serving after serving on your place.
After some time, you noticed your mother was watching you with an amused smile on her face. "I forgot how large of an appetite your father's kind have." She teased with a light nudge to your side. You giggled and washed down your last bite with some of the wine they had given you.
"It is nowhere near as great as father's. I am half Asgardian, after all. I know how to dial back on the eating." You said with a mock offended tone.
You could suddenly feel eyes burning into the side of your face, and you just had a feeling you knew who it was. You glanced up and caught eyes with the prince of Asgard. He was looking at you with a small smile on his face as he took a gulp of the strong alcohol in his glass.
Heat flooded to your cheeks as you quickly looked away and down at your plate of food. It was no use of hoping that he wasn't able to see your blush, considering that he was sitting directly across from you. The blush didn’t go only unnoticed by him either. All three of the parents at the table were watching the exchange with knowing eyes.
Frigga was the one to break the silence that had descended on your small end of the table. "(f/n)." You looked up at her and hoped that your blush was completely gone.
"Yes?"
"I don’t believe you've been formerly introduced to my son, Thor." She said with a smile on her face. A part of you could feel the plotting that was behind it.
You gulped as you shot a quick glance to the man in question. "No, I don't believe we have."
"Well that just will not do! You two must get to know each other. Go, go!" She urged, not one for subtlety.
There was no way that you would be saying no to the queen's order, so you took a deep breath and prepared yourself to handle this conversation with the most handsome man you had ever laid eyes on.
As you were about to stand yourself, you could already feel a presence behind you. When you looked back, you noticed it was Thor and he was holding a hand out to help you stand. You must have been so distracted that you hadn't seen him move. He had a kind smile on his face that had you nearly swooning. This man would definitely be the death of you.
Despite your nerves on the inside, you returned the smile and put your hand in his. The feeling of the rough calluses on your skin was enough to make you shiver pleasantly. You'd always been attracted to strong men who didn’t shy away from work. Asgard seemed to be full of men like that, but you somehow found the best one; you didn’t have to tour through the entirety of the realm to know that.
Once you were standing, you slipped your arm through his and followed him as he led you outside of the palace and to the garden. His company was actually quite pleasant. Perhaps you'd be able to get through this impending conversation with ease.

Side Story: Without your mate to be...
Side story. Another idea in the middle of too many...
You are to be Thor’s mate but he is away as you go into your fist heat.
Alpha and Omega. Loki and reader/you. Marking. Blood. Bond through blood. NSFW.
~~~ Enjoy ~~~
Loki sought you out to discuss the recent book you recommended. It was really brilliant. Your knowledge on various things were vast. Even if you could not do such things you took interest in, such as Seder… you found very useful spells for certain situations. Loki's current book in mind was tucked away in his own bookshelf. He wanted to let you know it was another successful book that demanded his further attention. Loki wanted to explain some parts that you left notes in random sections.
You were great to indulge with conversation. Loki desired you the greatest during conversations filled with jests at each other. He was lucky to have you around for the rest of his life. You were Thor's betrothed long before you set foot on Asgard. You learned the way of Asgardians quickly and naturally became one with the society.
However, you were able to be married in an arrangement for peace due to your first heat never occurring yet. Once it did and Thor mated you… you would be his for all of existence. You seemed happy with Thor and him overjoyed with having you. The two of you spent much time with the other on many meetings to become more acquainted before the mating.
Right now, Thor had urgent business he needed to deal with.
You were checked thoroughly for any signs of heat before Thor left. Should you experience the first heat without an Alpha to douse your fire, your body would slowly shut down with the heat. Loki shook the thoughts from his head because it was forbidden to think of a partnership on either side with desire.
You were happy with Thor and he was a suitable companion for you. With your vast knowledge, Thor would have a strong voice of reason.
Loki stopped at your door and then knocked but no answer. "That's odd…"
He knocked again. "Y/n? May I come in?"
He heard a faint yes so he entered.
Loki KNEW he should have left but the smell of you kept him rooted in place. Then those sounds you were making…
Driving Loki mad and he could feel himself growing to mate.
"Please. Please please please. Oh… make it stop…"
It was a series of soft whimpers of frustration. Loki KNEW deep down they were not for him… you were arranged to be with Thor. He was to be your mate. You were supposed to bear his brother's children.
Loki smelt a surge of arousal. You were in your first heat. But Thor was away on urgent business. Loki snooted and turned quickly in search for his mother. He opened the door so fast the large doors slammed against the walls.
Frigga jumped and inquired, "Loki! What is wrong?!"
"You need to get Thor here." Loki could still smell you. Hear your whimpers to make it stop. Loki growled with a shout, "now!"
Frigga went by his side and tried to search him for answers, "What is wrong?"
"Y/n… y/n is in their first heat." Loki growled again with a tug to his own hair. He has never mated with anyone and the few times he smelt Omegas in heat they never got to him this way. But this was the first time he smelt an Omega in its first heat. No one knew you would have your heat now -the doctors checked! Although, the first heat could happen anywhere at anytime. Any Alpha who mated with an Omega during the first heat they would be mates for life. The marks that happened during the intense, high hormones, and need to satisfy simple biology to reproduce..
Loki wanted to go and take you for himself. He needed it. Oh Norns he needed something.
Servants rushed past him in search of various ways to contact Thor.
Frigga rushed Loki to a private room. "How do you know?"
"I went to talk to her about a book. I asked to come in and entered because i heard a reply but…" Loki groaned as his whole body ached. "I smelled her. I turned and here I am." Loki forced a dry laugh.
"Oh dear." Frigga's hand held the other to stop nervous shaking, "I will mix you something to take the edge off."
Loki was given an elixir but it seemed as if hours passed. Loki was left in the room alone but he did not dare feed the ideas his body burned, ached, and needed to act out on. You were his brother's. The two of you were matched due to form a stronger alliance. However, Thor was not here, not in your bed and-
Loki howled in pain as a need flooded him.
The damn sedative did nothing.
There were small knocks on the door.
"Im fine." The bark was harsh but if he would have known it was his mother, he would have tried to be calm.
"Loki… Odin wants to speak to you."
Loki moved off the bed but had to quickly recover by holding himself up among the bed. Loki took a shaky breath. He opened the door and Odin was there. Loki was beyond thankful he did not need to walk all the way to the throne room. A prince in need stumbling through the halls would not be good news for the kingdom.
Odin wasted no time to cut to the point, "Y/n is in terrible condition already."
You were already shutting down? There was no way your heat was this bad.
"Thor will not make it before their body can not handle the heat. I have already contacted their kingdom." Odin waited until Loki could regain control of his body from an urge… "it has been decided that you, Loki, will take place of Thor. The alliance will still remain strong."
Loki was beyond gasping for air, "And y/n?"
"As long as their alliance stands, they have agreed." Odin waved towards the door, "It is agreed you two are acquainted enough for the rituals after being mated."
If it was acceptable, Loki would have ran past the Alfather and would already be so deep in you his knot would be trying desperately to keep all of his release inside of you. Loki stopped at the doorway as he was hit with a wall of your scent.
You laid there withering in pain. Legs pressing tightly together and a sheen of sweat covered your body. Loki watched as your body arched from a new wave of unbearable pain. You were crying out for anything to stop the burn. He acted quickly by tearing his clothes from his body and the soaked sheet from you. Your eyes opened but had deep dark bags under them from fatigue. You were naked already.
Your hands parted from your sex and instantly sought his body to pull it to your heated one. Loki let a satisfactory rumble leave his throat as he quickly entered you.
You screamed out, "Oh Valhalla!"
Loki was vigorously marking you as his. His teeth mared your skin everywhere he could. He fared no better as you claimed him as your Alpha. Everything was so blissfully amazing. Loki has never felt so good in his entire life. His knot grew larger than he has ever experienced from self pleasure. You clung to him so tightly he could only make poor attempts to thrust but the pulling on his knot made him mark you harder. He never thought the stories were true until this moment.
The need to make you his with marks so horrendous that stained sheets crimson.
He knew his final mark would be left on you for the rest of your life, no matter what you went through. He would be marked yours for as long as he exists with your mark. He was biting into your shoulder as you bit his neck. He made a noise into the bite once his release filled you and slightly quelled your heat. Your pleasurable sounds echoed in the room as you parted your teeth from his skin. You instantly started to clean it with your tongue and gentle laps and sucks.
Loki's teeth parted and he felt his knot still seated deep within you. Instincts to care for you set in as he cleaned your shoulder as well. Cleaning you made the bond greater because with blood within his system he would know everything about you from here on. He would know of your emotions, sensations, and even your location. Most importantly he would know when your body changed due to a successful mate.
When there was little blood left on you from other marks Loki finally looked at you. Crimson covered your face from your own marking and attempts to clean him. Your eyes barely opened but you smiled as they closed again.
"I never thought I would see you like this."
Loki laughed as he cleaned your face, "it was forbidden to think of each other this way."
You hummed. "You. Loki. My Alpha…"
Loki purred against your neck, "my Omega, Y/n."
"Omega sounds so good when you say it."
Even with Loki's seed within you he could feel your arousal returning. "Well then my Omega… how many times can you go?"
A new strength erupted as you gripped his arms. "How long can you keep this up?"
"We are going to be here for a long time. Omega."
Safety in Knowledge
Tittle: Safety in Knowledge
Chapter #: Oneshot
Author: brightsun-and-darkmidnight
Imagine: Imagine Heimdall warning both you and Loki of the Jotuns mating season approaching. There are discussions with Loki present and others without him. The group, with out Loki, decided there would be surveillance of some sort to keep you safe. As embarrassing as the thought was...Heimdall was brought up to keep a very close eye on the situation. Safe words, phrases, and body language. Literally everything is discussed, even how each safe “things” are at different levels of tolerance. The safety tolerances were completely different from the ones standing with Loki. The most important one is the one that will immediately summon everyone to part Loki from you.
Rating: M for MATURE
Author notes:
-totally disregarded everything as in Thor is not even announced as the chosen one for the Throne. You'll see.
-About 2,500 words.
-Nsfw. Consensual and a bit of nonconsensual. Mating season. Impregnating.
-For a change...Wrote in Heimdall's point of view.
~^~^~^~
Heimdall had his eyes everywhere. When Odin had requested how the Jotuns were, Heimdall had the answer.
Odin spoke among his wife and the gatekeeper,  "Loki has been rather, insatiable already. His touches have become more bold with y/n...We should send y/n away for the next 3 months, for her safety."
The Almother suggested with hope, "Shouldn't we offer information? To let them decide?"
"Has your desire for a grandchild clouded your head? Y/n could die." Odin gestured towards the city on the other side of the rainbow bridge. "Have all of Asgard know y/n died at the hands of her betrothed? Or with child before their courtship was finalized?"
"They should know."
"Bearing a child is life threatening, let alone a Jotun."
Heimdall remained silent at his rulers debated over knowledge. It was not Heimdall's place to speak, he only saw the present time, not the uncertain future.
Loki would lose control of himself.
Odin stared at his wife who spoke truth. Odin turned towards the bifrost then to the city he ruled.
"We will send y/n away and lock Loki in the dungeon."
"You must know that will not work. You underestimate Loki. He will find y/n and it will be in an uncontrolled event. If they agree we could set up a safety-"
"Out of the question. We will do as I say."
The Almother demanded with an uncharacteristic yell, "How long are you going to keep this secret?"
"As long as needed."
Friga laughed with that hurt smile, "don't want to rule the Jotunheim through Loki anymore?"
"We have a standing truce currently that is satisfactory."
This was not the only argument between the rulers of Asgard. They argued multiple times. More frequently as the time drew near. More people went to the throne with varying embarrassment and rage, Loki was not treating y/n with the respect of a prince. Loki touched her constantly. Kissed her in public even before a whole grand ball. They were seen too many times in heated kisses in the hallways. Then people reported seeing them go to the others room without supervision…
Heidemall knew everyone made accurate assumptions as to what happened behind those closed doors.
"Odin please. We must tell them."
"Loki needs punished for his actions, otherwise their courtship will come to an end. He does not need satisfied by impregnating or killing y/n." Odin raised his voice, "is that what you desire? The consequences for Loki would be far worse than a mere 3 months in a cell."
Frigas eyes narrowed but quickly regained their natural state, "With knowledge and safety precautions, y/n would be fine."
"Can you not wait for Thor to gift you with a grandchild?"
"Why is Loki so restricted in his happiness?"
"Happiness is not in his nature."
Their conversation was interrupted by news Loki and y/n being seen in the halls beginning to undress and Loki was promptly thrown in a cell. Friga stood and bowed her head towards Odin as she excused herself and went to y/n.
Y/n name was embarrassed at being found but confirmed it was all consensual. The couple were ordered to stay apart but the dear Almother was their messenger owl for their love, thankfully nonsexual. Loki was very restless at all hours of the day. Friga was informed that Loki nearly escaped in search for y/n, caught by Heimdall. Loki wasn't even trying to hide his presence during his escape.
"They need to know. Odin he almost got to y/n! And you did as you said, sent her to another realm. Loki might be clouded, but he seeks y/n. He had many chances to find mindless pleasure in others but he desires only her. Y/n misses Loki a great deal."
"And you know of y/n's feelings?"
Friga swallowed, "I do."
Odin's voice was loud and echoed in the room, "You could-should be sent to the dungeons. You went against your king by conversing with someone in a currently temporary exile."
"She is our daughter-"
"Their ceremony has not happened and there is a chance her kingdom will eliminate their chance." Odin held up his hand to silence the worried mother, "y/n's kingdom believes she is to marry an Asgardian. But we know she is not."
The Almother realized, she would never be graced with a grandchild with Loki's magic, and kind heart...because of his blood. Her chest constricted with the knowledge that the two so infatuated with each other to desire a family together would be prevented at all costs to their dreams. They would live in lies forever if Odin had his way.
The Almother grumbled many words that should not have even been spoken. She had enough of Odin's plans. Of his deceiving information. Of Odin refusing that Loki earned his God titles on his own and without some sort of influence.
The Almother went to Loki's cell and was warned by the guards, he was not...behaving normally.
The cell was in complete disarray, things were broken, thrown in pieces all over. The Almother watched her son growl and slide down the wall in obvious discomfort. His eyes saw hers and he looked so vulnerable. So unlike the mask he wore so well, besides when he questioned his worth. This look was similar, but it was worry.
He spoke so quietly, "mother."
Heidemall took a calm stroll to the Alfather himself as he watched the Almother inform Loki of his discomfort. His true heritage. She comforted him by telling him, "Loki you are my son, you must know that."
Odin sighed at Heimdall's informational warning. Odin looked towards the mountain region, "has he decided?"
"No. However. The Almother sent for y/n. To talk to her as well."
"Inform me once y/n has been informed."
Y/n was shocked at his true parentage but knew not to discuss her obvious anger towards the Alfather. Y/n was worried and fearful of Loki's discomfort. Not worried at all of her own safety, truly having faith and trust in Loki's control. The Almother was stumped as to how the safety for y/n would be set up. The bright faced woman spoke quietly of safe words...informed the Almother of their purpose and the standing ones in place already. The Almother took the information as if she was described an ailment in her healing quarters. Once y/n was finished, both women let silence take place as they found interest in the room.
Then Odin entered, followed by; Heimdall, Thor, the warriors three, and Lady Sif.
Loki paced constantly around his cell, in a very deep thought as to what to do. Uncharacteristically speaking his inner turmoil out loud.
The conversation was embarrassing at first, but everyone quickly realized the discussion was worth it and actually needed once Loki started. Every watched from all points outside the cell. It was going to be a very long 10 hours.
Loki tried to keep control by giving y/n control by making her be on top. His hands fisted the sheets in groans of frustration. Then hands met her hips and he began losing control with each thrust. Y/n was barely in control as she fell forward into his chest in repeated cries of pleasure. Then Loki fisted her hair and man handled her beneath him. It was barely 2 hours when Alicia hissed her first warning for Loki to be careful. He had growled but put in a great amount of effort to be gentle, forcing her on top of him again…
They had moaned loudly so many times from release but each time only allowed y/n a few minutes of rest as Loki held her tightly, but never unsheathed himself from her. Even after one time from taking her from behind he let them fall to their sides as he breathed in her scent. When he became insatiable again he pulled her leg over his and hooked it behind his own knees. His fingers worked vigorously against her clit as he took her as roughly as he could from their lying position. He was not satisfied by this position and took advantage of her already wide spread legs as he forced her stomach into the bed. He forced her backside up and pulled it back against him with each powerful thrust.
Everyone watched fearful as the sixth hour was almost past and Loki's skin transitioned to blue.
Y/n name hissed repeatedly at Loki with their standing stopping safe word as everyone saw sharp nails digging into her skin. However Loki scratched down her back causing her to scream the safe word. This further enraged Loki and he pulled her to sink his teeth into her shoulder, nails scratching where they gripped along her neck and chest.
It was odd as he was gentle with her stomach when he came undone with a deep rumble into y/n's shoulder. Y/n had noticeable labored breathing but she was trapped under Loki who's teeth had parted. However, his tongue lapped at the wound on her shoulder with content sounds.
The Almother stepped closer to the cell causing Loki to growl like a feral beast as he gripped y/n tighter and bit her again. Y/n whimpered causing Frigga to retreat back to her husband.
"Y/n.. you can." Frigga's voice was filled with worry. Her eyes on the sheets that were stained with all possible bodily fluids.
Y/n groaned as Loki's hips started again, "I know."
"How is she not getting burned?" Fendral spoke up, his Adam's apple moved in a hard swallow.
Thor crossed arms tensed and hand gripped mignoir tighter, "Loki must be focusing his little control to that. Norns help y/n if he loses complete control."
Everyone was on their toes in anticipation, fully prepared to part them at y/n's warning of almost giving up. She had so many scratches, bites, and bruises all over her body, save for her tender stomach. They were both glistening with sweat and blood. Their groins and thighs were especially slick from the countless climaxes.
Then y/n screeched the word, "fire."
The cell opened: Thor and the warriors three parted Loki from y/n. He put one hell of a fight and even broke y/n's wrist from the tight grasp he had on her. She wailed in pain and crawled off the bed. Falling to the floor as her legs gave out. Sif was quick to remove y/n from the cell. As the men restrained Loki with chains and cuffs, preventing his movements, y/n groaned as moved away.
Frigga followed closely as y/n was taken to the room set up for healing and comfort. Frigga chose fast Seder than a slow and soothing approach. Y/n was quickly healed, covered with a thick blanket and placed in front of a fire. Food and hydration to her side for consumption.
Odin asked how y/n was and Heidemall was obliged to answer.
Heidemall saw y/n flinch at each loud scream and beastly sound from Loki.
"Is he..in pain?"
Frigga looked grim. "You need to rest, fill your belly with substance."
"I should go back."
Frigga gestured towards the tray, "Regain your strength first."
Y/n took a piece of fruit and stared at it before placing in her mouth. Grimacing as she chewed. The Almother soothed her jaw and anywhere else the dear child tried to hide discomfort.
Y/n asked quietly, "he was so… Gentle with my stomach…" y/n's hand rested there and her eyes met the Almother's, "am I with child?"
The mother shook her head and Sif answered, "he would have been satisfied and returned to normal."
Y/n's eyes were determined, "I am going back."
"My dear, your ceremony is only a few years away."
Y/n shrugged, "all realms knows we are...active."
The demeanor she displayed was shy and appeared as if no one had personally witnessed the truth of her words.
At y/n's appearance in the cell again, Loki was demanding pleasure. He pulled the chains, tried desperately to thrust into her, but thanks to the restrictions y/n was in full control. It was much easier for everyone to watch as y/n was safe, healed and not receiving further injuries.
With 2 hours left Loki had moaned loudly at release, filled y/n so much it poured out of her and her breath hitched as she was brought to pleasure as well. Y/n fell to the side to take a break and laid by Loki. Her hands on his chest, fingers admiring the raised patterns. Everyone saw Loki's familiar appearance come back. Y/n's eyes opened when the ridges disappeared, then she watched as Loki sighed heavily.
Everyone was relieved and smiled when Loki's eyes lost the crimson and clouded look.
Y/n's eyes showered Loki's face in tears as she kissed him in between laughs.
However when Loki was let free he was appalled at the state of the sheets and himself. He demanded the knowledge of if he hurt her. He showed obvious distress but his instincts didn't let him distance himself. If Loki wasn't protective before, he skipped that and was the most overprotective and vigilant protector of y/n. He refused to leave her side and made sure she had what she wanted before she even had to ask.
The time went by so fast due to the marriage ceremony being forced sooner due to Odin's demand.
 The announcement of y/n being with child.
Loki expected to have an heir before the oldest son forced arguments across all realms concerning who should rule next. The first born son or the son who was expecting an heir.
Loki's true parentage was revealed at a touch of y/n's stomach that caused his hand to turn blue. Then his entire form because the expecting mother encouraged the prince to embrace all of himself. All of the realms were in an uproar of what to do with Loki: make him rule Jotunheim, Asgard, or nothing.
However when the new little bundle was in Loki's arms time paused.
The child’s eyes closed, mouth opened in a yawn and promptly fell asleep in comfort…
Loki could only stare as y/n ran her fingers along their child's skin. A tired kiss from his love as she also fell asleep beside him. He gave his tired family kisses on their forehead. Tears in his eyes as he pressed a long kiss to y/n's head as he thanked her and pledged his life to focusing on their family first. Always and forever.
With no more jealousy, no more doubtful faces, and no more acting out for attention.
Everyone knew, Loki finally felt more than enough.
Title: Irked
Author lokilover9
Chapter 13
Original Imagine: Imagine due to having highly effective telekinesis, Tony Stark seeks you out and hires you. Loki’s been forced to live there by Odin and help on missions when needed, making penance to Midgardians. Prior to moving into the Tower, you learn of his superior and arrogant attitude and upon being introduced, immediately dislike him. Particularly because he looks at you like your his next meal. Rating: Teen
Spending the afternoon inventing traits for their characters was entertaining to say the least. Especially the ones Loki teasingly wrote about Shandis. As it turned out however, that wasn’t the only important topic they needed to discuss.
“Adding some of your own personal traits, could make things easier to remember.” He teased. “Let’s see. Cheeky, unruly, obstinate, short tempered…”
She was eating pistachios and tossed one at him, not noticing it landed in his crotch. Loki considered asking her to retrieve it, but declined, thinking he may end up with the television over his head.
“Oh really?” She retorted. “How about some of yours? Mysterious, sarcastic, oozes brattiness from every pore.”
He waited a minute. “That’s the worst you could come up with? Perhaps I’m growing on you then.”
Shandi quickly changed the subject. “You need a Midgardian age. I suggest 32.”
“Accepted. I could see how close to a millennium might appear suspicious.”
“Oh, before I forget, I’ve researched reasons for hair loss and found one you should remember.”
“Whatever for?” He asked.
“It’s hard getting my wig to look just right and I’m thinking it may become noticeable. Should anyone ask…”
“You don’t have to wear it. I could obliterate the entire application process with magic.”
“No thank you, it’s fine.” She politely replied. “As I was saying…”
“Shandi, I keep asking you to trust me. Do you not at all?”
She went quiet for a moment and leaned back into the couch. “Okay, I’m going to be completely honest with you.”
Realizing she was serious, Loki put aside his pen and paper. “Please do.”
“It bothered me earlier that you expected me to portray Elizabeth a certain way without warning, or a better explanation as to why. It put me on the spot and I only complied because Alice could’ve left at any moment.”
“My apologize Shandi, I hadn’t intended to. A theory came to mind and based on what we know of Alice’s personality, I thought to test it.”
She locked eyes with him then. “Which you did at my expense Loki. There’s bound to be moments of unpredictability during this mission, that will require sporadic actions from my character. If I don’t know all her issues or why they exist, who knows how I could jeopardize things. Understand that I won’t consent to anything like that again without knowing much more and your actions have left me concerned.”
“Of?” He asked.
“I’m questioning what else you may attempt without my knowledge, beyond things at my expense.”
Here was this woman whose pulse he could increase, merely with his nearness, her eyes now boring into him with an intensity he’d yet to see, her demeanor confident and assured.
“You’re right.” He respectfully replied. “My actions were inappropriate and again, I apologize.”
Shandi wasn’t expecting such reactions at all. He’d constantly projected an air of pompousness and superiority, yet now appeared humbled.
“Remember you recently asked if I’d planned on attempting to jeopardize this mission?”
Her gaze lowered in a nod. “I do.”
“Shandi, look at me please?”
Obeying, her insides softly quivered.
“I meant it.” Loki continued. “And know without a doubt, that at no point, will I jeopardize your safety either.”
For some reason, she’d strongly sensed he wouldn’t, yet was grateful they were openly discussing things. “Thank you.” She replied. “From now on, let’s review everything at the end of each day, so we’re always on the same page?”
“I think that’s an excellent idea.” When her shoulders fell and expression softened, he regretted causing her such worry.
Shandi sipped her wine and refocused. “So, what ‘was’ your theory about Alice?”
Loki explained that the previous night, he’d re read their information about Alice and made some assumptions regarding her personality. Upon meeting her, he learned they were correct. Not only was she friendly, but intelligent, very warm, kind, compassionate and seemingly affectionate with friends, as she’d put her arm around Beth a few times. “Remember during Tony’s meeting, he asked us to invent a valid reason for your aversion to being touched?” “Yes.” She replied. “We must work on that.”
“Actually, I’d thought of one before approaching Alice. It was the reason behind testing my theory.”
Shandi listened and when he finished, her mouth hung ajar. “Loki, that’s very tragic.”
“I know, but it could aid in attaining Alice’s friendship faster, while embedding into her mind, the seriousness of your aversion. Then hopefully as Nat put it, she’ll avoid becoming ‘touchy-feely,’ with you completely, as will anyone close to her.”
Shandi knew the grave importance of no one discovering her fake pregnancy. “I’m not refuting any of this, but still don’t quite understand.”
“Mother of seven, who loves babies. A pillar of and activist for her community whose curious of newcomers. She volunteers in schools, the local community center and nursing home. Initiates her own fundraisers and donates the money to those less fortunate. Her life revolves around caring for people. Introduce that level of kindness to a pregnant newcomer who hasn’t any friends here yet, fears being apart from her spouse too long, appears overly nervous amidst crowds and fiercely protects herself from anyone who even attempts touching her? You could easily play on her sympathies Shandi.”
A heavy sigh escaped her. “Even if I agreed to doing so, that tragedy isn’t something you reveal out of the blue. It would be awkward to, period.”
“I’d handle the telling if you wished. In the meantime, we’d build up to it by piquing her curiosity.”
“What if we don’t see her again until the fair?”
“By shopping constantly for our nursery and spending the towns lunch hours everyday at the park? I’m quite certain we would.”
“How do we pique her curiosity at the park?” She asked.
“With some simple exercises to help alleviate your ‘nervousness.’
She took a few moments to contemplate everything, then asked. “What’s with the fear of being apart from you?”
“Another curiosity peeker, or optional excuse to avoid invalid situations.”
“Should I portray Elizabeth this way, you do realize we’d be stuck to each other like glue most of this mission?”
Damn, did Loki bite his tongue. “Well darling, you did sign up for Cactus sitting. Would it be so bad portraying one with such issues?” His eyes suddenly crossed. “After all, you’ve me to protect you.”
“Oh, pfft. That’s reassuring.”
A chuckle escaped him. “It’s up to you.”
Shandi hadn’t banked on playing a ‘nervous nelly’ beyond the maternity shop incident, but it ‘could’ work. “Okay..I’m in. As long as I get details about those exercises.”
“Of course. Would you still like help with your wig?”
“I’d almost forgotten about that.”
“The process is quick and painless, really.”
“That’s not very reassuring either, Loki.”
He laughed, then explained and she was startled to learn it was that simple. “Magic is a wondrous thing darling.”
Shandi opted to close her eyes and Loki stood, tossed a green mist towards her and quietly left. A subtle tingling sensation then spread over her entire scalp, lasting for only seconds before she darted to the main floor washroom. Stemming from every root, her long, dark waves had been altered to loose red curls, that perfectly matched her wig. “Holy shit, this is amazing!”
Loki was in the kitchen, pouring some whiskey when she found him. “I gather you approve?”
“I’m awed.” She replied. “Not only is my wig a time consuming pain in the ass, but feels like I’m wearing a heating pad on my head. A break from it sometimes would be amazing Loki and if there’s a kindness I could do for you in return, please name it.”
He was dumbfounded. Had she just offered him gratitude for a kindness so simple for him to accomplish? The last person to have done so, was Frigga and he never thought anyone would again. “I expect nothing in return. I offered because I wanted to, Shandi.”
“Nothing?” She asked.
“Nothing.”
“Would you..do it tomorrow then?”
“I’ll do it every day if you wish.”
The sparkle in her eye and how she smiled in that moment, affected him so profoundly, he was determined to be responsible for it more often. Especially when she stepped forward suddenly and planted an unexpected kiss on his cheek. Realizing her actions, she slowly backed away and Loki struggled not to return the kiss, intimately.
“Despite being honest about no expectations, I can’t say that wasn’t appreciated.”
Scarlet faced, Shandi gestured towards the corridor. “Okay, well uhh..character stuff. We should get back to that, so I’ll just be down the hall.” She left, heart thumping in her chest. ‘What were you thinking woman? Do not do that again, it’s dangerous. Damn he smells good.’
Loki poured another shot and adjusted his twitching cock. ‘Not just yet my friend, not just yet.’
When done refining their characters, they contacted Nat and Clint. Not only were they pleased to learn about Alice too, but Nat approved of Loki’s idea.
“The seed was basically planted when we met at Beth’s shop Beautiful and I’d guess she told Alice of the incident.”
“Maybe.” Shandi replied. “I’m not familiar with playing on people’s sympathies though.”
“No worries. Clint will volunteer some lessons, won’t you Baby Cakes?”
Loki cackled at the name.
“Me?” Asked Clint.
Nat continued. “Remember the night we caught him watching porn?”
Shandi chuckled. “Yes.”
“He spent days, playing on mine after that.”
“Oh come on, I apologized!”
“True.” Said Nat. “But you’re addicted and should seek therapy.”
Everyone laughed and as the conversation continued, the four devised plan. Nat and Clint would watch Beth’s shop daily for signs of Alice, while Loki and Shandi hung around town, waiting on word of her presence. This would guarantee seeing her again before the fair. Then Nat thought of another idea involving a second interaction between her and Shandi and once Nat payed the shop a visit, all would be set.
After the call ended, Loki shook his head. “You watched porn with Baby Cakes and Ella without your husband present? Perhaps you’d like to explain this wife?”
“Pfft. Perhaps not husband and Ella and I are innocent.”
“Is that so?” His eyes playfully narrowed. “I fail to believe you two are innocent of much, now talk.”
“I’m afraid what occurs between female besties is highly classified.” She cooly replied. “If I told you, I’d have to kill you.”
Loki’s arms crossed. “I see. Tell me something Lizzy. Did you just confess to adultery?”
Shandi pondered her next words, then smirked. “I’ll leave you with that thought Clifford, I’ve some laundry to do.” Seconds later, she snorted, hearing his reply.
“Queen of unruliness!”
Later, while observing her sleep later, Loki recalled her gratitude and how she’d agreed to everything, despite expressing such concern for his earlier actions. Then he reflected upon his immature behavior since they’d met. All the agitating, teasing and tricks, those were the actions of a boy, not an intelligent God. And what the hell had compelled him to use an attraction spell on her? He’d refrained from such things since mid adolescence, when his heightened sense of smell suddenly developed. Unaware then, it was a Frost Giants trait, he still remained oblivious to its true purpose, but did enjoy one advantage. Amongst the many women he’d desired throughout life, very few hadn’t felt the same. Those who did and attempted denial, were revealed by the scent of their arousal. Nothing some extra charm, prowess and persistence never solved. This had even worked on his first love Iris, who like Shandi, denied her mutual attraction in the beginning. Yet he hadn’t acted as ridiculous towards her, nor had her scent affected him the same. Shaking Iris’s painful memory from his head, he further pondered Shandis scent. More appeasingly potent than any he’d ever detected, it lured him to her, heightened all of his senses and ignited unusual urges to mark and possess her. He’d thought of marking her before, but believing it barbaric, had refrained. Yet now, like some primitive instinct, rising from the pit of his soul, it was steadily getting stronger and his desire becoming feral. “I want you in a way I’ve yet to understand.” He quietly whispered. “You make me think and feel things I never have and…” He hesitated a moment. “It’s driving me fucking crazy! Norns, what am I saying?” She stirred and he waited, then caressed her cheek, smirking at the soft sigh she expelled. “Forgive me for my mischievous ways, but you ‘will’ become mine Shandi. I can’t have it any other way.” With that, a soft kiss to her temple made another dream begin.
