#and they can have a statement put out by Merc or someone from Lewis’ team later
Note
Yeah agree with your analysis on why Bahrain wasn’t the best show for Carlos.
I also don’t know why people think it’s good to disobey team orders. Carlos has done it constantly and everytime I see someone praising his bravado for going against the team, I am like why is that a good thing. It just proves how much of non team player he is. He throws them under the bus anytime things are not going his way. He is way too inconsistent with his statements on if the car is good for him or not depending on his results. Like bro make up your mind. And he never takes responsibility for his mistakes.
And like you said top teams are not looking for non-cooperative drivers who create problems on and off track. I am 100% sure if in Singapore 2023 it was Charles ahead of Carlos, he would have not backed up the pack but would have been trying to get past Charles but that’s a hypothetical situation.
The thing which is interesting here is that both RB and Merc are going to think about the optics of taking Carlos which is that they are basically signing someone who Ferrari didn’t want. Now tbf they replaced him with 7x WDC Lewis Hamilton but still it looks a little bad for them to sign their rival’s ‘reject’. So I am sure they are gonna think about it. Also with RBR - Carlos is only slightly better than Checo so it doesn’t really make sense for them. Like it’s not really an upgrade tbh.
You can get away with the ignoring team orders move and have it work in your favor in some limited circumstances. However usually it isn't a good look. There are a few times in the past a driver has defied orders and it's come out looking good for them, but that really isn't the case for Carlos.
It's why you see this disconnect between the way fans and the media talk about him and his performance, and the way other teams and TPs are looking at him.
I think there is a good reason Ferrari are not resigning, yes Lewis is part of it, but I also don't think they like how he doesn't fall in line and is also messy in the press(Ferrari especially do not tolerate that well from their drivers)
Checo may have his own faults, but he causes very little trouble, doesn't ruffle feathers and gets on well with Max. He doesn't need to be the best, he just needs to be good enough, and right now he still is.
Merc also implied that the reason they didn't extend Lewis' contract further was because they did not want to miss out on Kimi Antonelli. They have made it so clear they are not missing the chance to put him in as soon as they can. They are terrified of losing out on that rookie talent. So anyone they sign will be short term and likely not sticking around for long. Just to fill the seat and bring in points, support George etc.
I think it comes down to Carlos playing a very different game, and it isn't the same as his team or the other teams he may want to join.

It’s been a while since I’ve been on F1 tumbler but I had a scroll down through your feed and 100000% agree with what you say about Skyf1 and certain fanbases 👀.
F1 needs to start coming out with statements about these fans because they are twats, I mean booing Max because he won at Miami where I believe is a majority of people are Mexicans and of course they love Checo but my god most fans are twats because I saw some moaning saying that Checo should of started on hards like ok love the other 6 drivers would of swallowed him up and max would of got to Checo on lap 2 😂, Checo while I love him he has had some luck with some of his wins Baku 2021 Max would of won if his tyre did blow up.
I hate F1 fans honestly, social media has made fandoms so bad 🫠
Honestly some of these fans would not of survived Senna, Schumacher, Prost, Hunt, McLaren Lewis, and Redbull Seb 😂😂😂
Also all I’m going to say about these people that Cyber Bully Max which what they are doing is the correct term, let’s hope none of their Kids, Nieces and Nephews, Godchildren, and Friends get the abuse thrown at them like how they do to Max and other Drivers I mean do they think it’s okay because it’s Max noooo, as someone who was bullied severely in Secondary School I hope that no one goes through what I did, let’s hope those people who are throwing abuse at Max on Twitter or Insta never has to see a loved one cry about the abuse they are getting face to face and online because that will be Karma and honestly their own fault.
And those people who ‘Manafest’ Redbull and Max’s downfall guess what huns what you put out there comes back to bite you on the ass and it’s there favourite driver gets it I mean it’s called self gain, you want to be Cool and post it everywhere it will be your favourite driver gets fucked In the end and I sit there and laugh 😂😂
Sorry for the rant but I needed to say it and I love how blunt and truthful you are keep it coming
Nah never apologize for ranting bestie I love all the rants I get!! And I absolutely agree none of them would survive watching old f1, hell not even the English media could survive it. I’ve always said they only talk good about a legend of a sport once they aren’t a threat to their golden English boys🙄
See the thing is and I’ve said before it really isn’t the booing that bothers me. It’s the chanting abuse at Max and now his team, it’s the chanting about his mother, chanting wishing him to die that is what bothers me. The lack of response from Formula 1, Sky sports f1 and also the f1 community really shows that they all find it absolutely okay for people people to abuse Max, in person, right near him. They think that Max apparently doesn’t have feelings, that he can just take it because he’s Max, he’s Dutch forgetting that he is a 25 year old young man.
I understand it doesn’t bother him but Jesus Christ all he’s doing is going out and promoting f1 and their anti hate campaign only to get left in the cold on his own, no support but is expected to call out his fans who have done nothing near to what Checo, Lewis and Ferrari fans have done to him. He’s constantly attacked online when it comes to his body, his face, his driving, his personal life and at some point you have to wonder do these people have such miserable life’s to abuse a young man who they will never meet? I agree with you 100% that I hope yo god they will never have to see a loved one go through the level of abuse max does.
People acting like Red Bull have dominated since 2021 and it’s so fucking annoying because if Merc weren’t lying about their bouncing issue the rules would have worked just fine. Honestly some “fans” need to go back to eating chips on their sofa instead of sitting at their computer spewing hate towards max.

Hey I’m completely new to the world of F1 (I’ve been binging the Netflix special this past week) and as someone who’s been in fandoms for my whole life, I know that there’s a lot of racism that skews narratives like the Netflix one, which is especially apparent as I scroll through Tumblr and see that Red Bull and Verstappen r not well liked despite taking up a big portion of the Netflix special. Can i get a quick rundown on the players that are well liked (my favorites rn r Hamilton, Albon and Daniel), which teams r shitty and bad to their drivers, and which people have been racist or bigoted (I can see Verstappen is one)
hi and welcome to the brainrot!! <3
hmm ok i will be honest with you, i didn't watch dts. my sister does and i've heard from her and many other people that it's not accurate, a lot of the drama is manufactured, and of course it's netflix, so they'll produce whatever narrative brings them the most views. and nobody wants to watch episodes of people getting along fine in the workplace, apparently.
excellent taste in favorites, i love lewis, alex, and danny ric too!! as for your question about teams and drivers, here's what i can tell you to the best of my knowledge:
max v: known for his aggressive driving on track, particularly his infamous "yield or crash" tactics. last year when he and lewis were competing for the title, he and his team did not hesitate to take advantage of the racist abuse that lewis suffers, and use it to fuel a narrative of max being this poor victim. i won't go into detail but it's well documented all over tumblr. my anti tag for him is here.
perez: anti-choice, cheated on his wife in monaco this year when she had just given birth to their kid. kind of a crybaby on track lmao which is annoying. also cheats on track too, like when he pushed lewis and charles leclerc off track at silverstone this year. he did not deserve that p2.
red bull racing: known for their toxic environment and their high turnover rate when it comes to drivers. several people associated with it have made bigoted and/or racist statements and never seem to face consequences. accused lewis of attempted murder after silverstone last year, and have accused him of using performance enhancing drugs etc. just generally shitty people and i don't trust them OR their fans at all. OH not to mention the way they've treated yuki tsunoda for being "aggressive" on the radio while ignoring the way max behaves. anti tag here for more info.
orange army: they're not red bull fans as much as they're max fans. specifically dutch max fans. they don't care much about formula 1, from what i hear they're football fans who gave up on the netherlands nt and became max fans a few years ago (take this with a grain of salt, this is just something i read on reddit from a fan who's been following both football and f1 for years). they engage in gross and shitty behavior like harassing other team fans (specifically merc), sexual assault, cheering when lewis crashed before they even know he was okay (all of this was austrian gp this year), and burning lewis merch (hungarian gp this weekend). of course none of them face consequences. regarding all of the above, f1 just likes to put out shitty lil videos telling fans how to... block people on twitter?? without actually doing anything to address the issue.
carlos sainz jr: racism, family association with ultra right wing nationalist party
other drivers on the grid aren't perfect either. of course, no one is. so i suppose it just depends on you what you find unacceptable or what you'd be willing to let slide. for me, rbr and sainz are the ones that i genuinely do not like for the aforementioned reasons. other drivers have also done things that made me lose respect for them, such as refusing to kneel or thinking it's performative (leclerc and norris, if i'm not wrong) or thinking that "fans" that assault others shouldn't face harsh consequences (norris after the austrian gp).
hope this helped anon, and feel free to ask anything else you want to know! and if anyone has anything to add or correct, please feel free!!

hmmm okay but maybe we shouldn’t put press duties first if you’re an athlete struggling from any sort of health issues (mental or physical) and make sure that we start to prioritize athletes overall health (again mental or physical)
