When I say I’m goblincore I mean I personally get dopamine from cooking things like salmon trimming just so I can peel the little flakes of meat off like I managed to snag the leftover carcass of someone elses meal

6th house: pet edition
Hello lovely people!! This post will focus on the possible traits of your pet (if you have one) or possible future pets (if you want them), and what kind of animal do you connect the most with based on the planet or sign that falls in the 6th house, since one of the themes that rules this house are pets.
As always, I hope this resonates, I apologize for any grammatical mistake, and please don't repost or copy this post without giving proper credits to the owner.
P. D: this post can talk also, if it resonates, of the first pet that you consciously or seriously took care of.
Tumblr media
Aries or Mars in the 6th house: your pet is someone with a lot of energy. A lot of masculine or alfa energy despite of his or her gender. Maybe they will like to act as the protector or defender of the home. In this case, it should be warned that they'll need a lot of training and exercise in order to calm part of that big energy they posses because, if they don't recieve that, that behaviour can turn aggresive or other people can see them as aggresive. You could connect a lot to dogs, specially those races who are percieved as aggresive such as pitbulls, rottweiler, dobermann, etc.
Taurus or Venus in the 6th house: your pet is, or will be, very calm and loving. They will prefer to chill and spend time relaxing at home with you at the couch or bed than spending a lot of their time outside (just for those who have backyards) or playing. With this planet or sign, their body could be chubby due to their innate like to eat a lot of food most of the time. I mean, I can picture a dog or a cat who will look right into you trying to reclaim that it is his/her food time. They will like when you pet him/her, give him/her treats or when you clean them. Posible animals that you connect with: hamsters, cats, dogs and rabbits.
Gemini or Mercury in the 6th house: with the mutable sign as a ruler, you will probably have more than one pet in your lifetime or, most probably, more than one pet at the same time. This doesn't have to apply only in this sign tho'. Your pet could be intelligent, very "talkative" or very communicative in his/her own way, and have different moods depending of the day. These aspects screams "parrots" or birds to me. Maybe because Mercury rules communiation and there is a few species that can learn to imitate sounds. But it can apply to cats or dogs that learns how to "speak" too. Posible animals that you connect with: birds, dogs, cats.
Cancer or Moon in the 6th house: I'm having the vision of those pets who interrupts their owner(s) when they are having personal moments such as exchanging a kiss or something similar. Your pet or future pet could be very caring and emotional. He/she likes demonstration of affection towards them and they do that in exchange when there is an emotional connection between the two. They are very sensible to negative settings tho' and could be very possesive, jealous or moody with their owner(s), especially when they demostrate affection to other pets (if you have more than one) or other people. Animals and pets you connect with: fishes due to the water element, crabs (in reference to the symbol of Cancer) and any animal they can connect emotionally with.
Leo or Sun in the 6th house: your pet could be the center of attention in the house. Maybe he/she is the only one in the house but, despite this, if there is more than one, they could have some kind of personality, trait or talent that makes them stand out or known in the neighbourhood. Maybe he/she can become famous in social media. Another possible traits is that your pet is very independent. He/she likes to do things that he/she likes to do, go where he/she wants to go, eat what he/she wants to eat, and he/she won't be easily persuaded to do the opposite. Animals you feel connected with: dogs, big cats like lions and tigers,
Virgo or Mercury in the 6th house: your pet is very practical, "organized", detail oriented and down to earth. It gives me a very high energy of a cat but it doesn't have to be. Since this is a mutable sign, you could have more than one pet and maybe from different species which, in the end, you will have to learn a lot about how to take care of them. On the downside, they could have some health problems that will make you to spend a lot of time and energy to take care of them. For a lot of you, I don't sense any pets or, if you like animals, you could work with them by being a veterinarian or zoologist.
Libra or Venus in the 6th house: your pet is pretty much calm and chill. They are not the dominant one in the house overall and love shows of affection from their owners along with giving affection too. They also like those times when their owners wash them and make them look beautiful or, if they can't do that, to decorate their space with nice and comfortable settings. A nice space to sleep, a space to play, if you have an aquarium they will like a coral reef or seaweed, etc. Comfort and love is what they want to recieve. Possible animals you connect with: rabbits, cats, dogs, maybe some birds.
Scorpio or Pluto in the 6th house: I can see three scenarios here: first, those of you who have this placement could indicate an interest with animals that are mysterious, intense and powerfull such as lizards, spiders, scorpions, crocodiles, and snakes; second, those of you who have this planet may choose to rescue an animal that could have gone through some traumatic experience. Abandonment from their original owners, rejected by their parents, death of one or both of their parents, abuse, violence, etc; third, you may have a transformative, and maybe traumatic, experience with pets or animal in general. Maybe you lost one surprisingly, out of nowhere, or you had an accident with animals.
Sagittarius or Jupiter in the 6th house: since one of the most related symbols of Sagittarius is the horse, it is very probably that either you own one or more horses or you feel connected to them. If not, your pet could have a carefree, adventurous, happy and joyfull energy. Most probably than not, your pet enjoys spending time outside playing and exploring the sorroundings so, if you are the type to go trekking or do any activity of the sort, he/she will gladly want to follow you. With this sign or planet, your pet could be very intelligent and it will be easier for you to train them or make them learn some tricks.
Capricorn or Saturn in th 6th house: I have the feeling that the pets that you will have, currently have or had, are those who either have been domesticated by the human civilization centuries ago (example cats, dogs, horses, cows, donkeys, goats or birds) or maybe you will recieve a pet who is an adult already, not a baby, due to different circumstances. Maybe it belonged to a grandmother or grandfather and they can't keep them anymore or they were abandoned. Your pet could be hardworking and serious like those dogs trained to be of service to people with special needs or illnesses.
Aquarius or Uranus in the 6th house: definitely there is something unique about your pet. It could be because of what they are (maybe you have some "exotic" animal like ferrets, some type of parrot or any kind of animal that is exentric in any way), or they rebellious personality or because of the circumstances that surrounded the arrival of your new pet. There is a huge probabily that you don't want, never wanted or never planned to have an animal but one day... BOOM. You have encountered your "pet" and now you take care of them. Those who find baby wild animals abandoned or hurt and take care of them until they are ready to go back to nature or go to a sanctuary may belong to this group.
Pisces or Neptune in the 6th house: since the symbol of the Pisces sign are two fishes, maybe your pets are, literally, fishes or animals who naturally lives in or near the water such as turtles, otters, crabs, etc. Your pet could either be very active or, on the contrary, likes to sleep a lot. Spiritually, you could feel very connected to your pet, there is a natural energetic connectic that allows you to heal and recharge yourself thanks to the help of your pet. For instance, they say that when a cat touches you and purrs, these purrs send energetic vibrations that helps a person to align his/her chakras which, in the end, allows them to cure. If they pass away, they could become your spiritual guardian.

I can’t stop thinking about the kinda shit the people of Uzushiogakure would eat, though? Their cuisine, their food traditions, etc… Obviously a lot of seafood (likely both raw and cooked alike), and given how connected they are to the sea, and with the idea of them Needing more salt than others, I could see a popular tea for them being konbu-cha (kelp infused in hot water and sometimes salt, a rather savory and apparently salty tea!), but what about specifics?
Obviously they’d probably eat a lot of sushi and sashimi, but what kind? Do you think they’d often eat poisonous and lethal fish and other ocean life, what with the god killing thing? Would it become a common delicacy for them to eat things like fugu (a highly toxic blowfish, if prepared incorrectly) with little prep, even or especially raw? Is that toxicity just like zesty seasoning to them, or a flavor most can’t comprehend?
What’s the more popular cooking method in Uzushio- Steaming, grilled, frying, something else? Why would it be that popular, and what would work best in that environment?
What about alcohol- Do they favor sake? Shōchū? Something else? And other drinks- What kind of teas would they have?
Just! I’m sorry for rambling but I’m a Nerd and Uzushiogakure gets me Every Time.
Don't apologize! Details like this are something I get caught up in too!!
I think I've said it before but when it comes to relating Uzushio to a real place I, personally, tend to very loosely model Uzushio off of Okinawa.
So you have that influence plus the general nature I tend to give the Uzumaki.
There were other Clans too on Uzushio of course, but the Uzumaki ruled from time immemorial so their preferences influenced things a great deal.
For beverages: Konbu-cha served either plain or with Uzushio brown sugar for those who want a hint of sweetness. Water, obviously, though serving it with slices of fresh fruit and/or sprigs of mint mixed in is also common. Various fruit juices from native fruits are also popular, especially with children. The Uzumaki also have been known to drink sea water both casually and medicinally as they require higher alt levels than other Clans do. Flower teas are also popular, specifically fire-lily and hibiscus teas.
Traditional alcohol on Uzushio is awamori, which is distilled (like shochu) instead of brewed. The Uzumaki are known for making and consuming a specific type of awamori called hanazake which tends to be at least 120-proof and flammable.
Like you said seafood is the backbone of the cuisine in Uzushio with Clans like the Uzumaki having the ability to eat even the most poisonous of fair without too much in the way of preparation.
Fugu, stone and lion fish, as well as certain sharks are all common foods for Uzumaki that most other Clans do not consume regularly if ever. Young Uzumaki are often fed higher concentrations of normally poisonous dishes to help them develop a healthy constitution.
Crab is a common meat source as well, since the Uzushio spider crabs are prolific, breed quickly and easily, and grow to unsettling sizes.
Sea turtle used to be a common dish too but Something Happened in the past and Uzushio stopped all consumption of sea turtle meat.
Pig is also a very very common meat in Uzushio as the island is the perfect place for wild boar to flourish. There was an entire Clan, in fact, who was in charge of the cultivation of Uzushio's boar population.
Steaming and hot stone grilling are the most popular cooking styles in Uzushio. There's also an abundance of hot and cold soups. Frying tends to be reserved for desserts and specialty dishes.
Bitter melons, taro, ube, coconuts, papaya, and bamboo shoots are also also common.

☆ all virgos i've met had one thing in common: they were obsessed with healthy & natural anything! they did not like to eat/use anything that isn't 100% natural and they were really concerned about their health when they accidentally used something chemical.
☆ i've noticed that many sag females i know were tomboys when they were young. most of them have heavy scorpio placements as well.
☆ ive always felt astrology as a part of who I am. i I checked my chart and found out that asteroid urania (30) is conjunct my sun (and it's the only planetary body that is in an EXACT conjunction with my sun!) asteroid urania can tell you a lot about your relationship with astrology.
☆ this is just my observation but I feel like the animals that are connected to our angel asteroid (11911) are our spirit animals. like we receive a message from our angels every time we see that animal. ive always felt a weird connection to big felines. like lions, leopards etc. it turns out that my angel is in leo. I got chills when I found out about that !

The winner is... the 🦈SirenSong!AU! In this au, the platonic yans are sirens, and so is their bby. Sirens in this au have some form of hypnotic power, mainly their voices, which leads to them being persecuted by the humans inland... but on the coasts and islands, sirens are the ones who rule. After all, they can use their abilities to hunt and sell fresh sea food, own special hotels and aquariums filled with colorful and versatile fish and sea creatures, sell their more... "special" skills, such as singing, siren scale trading, and some have magical/mystical abilites/mutations... not to mention the pearl, sea glass, and ancient artifact trade, run and controlled by sirens who are able to explore and collect from the deepest depths of the ocean...
No one is a hero or villain in the super person sense here. They can be labeled as heroic or villainous, but they aren't exactly fighting crime... they all have their own special way of earning a living, and stick to their guns. Some sirens are built differently than others, due to their ability/mutation, their siren tail/type, and where they live. Different types include the reef sirens (colorful, smaller, and fast), the open ocean sirens (bigger, sharper teeth and claws, muted colors), and deep sea sirens (largest there is, eat a lot, can live very long). There are a mix of different patterns and color combinations, but all sirens, when fully submerged in water, have a fishy/serpentine lower half. Depending on the age of the siren, they can hold a human form better, and if young, will have duller teeth and nails, thinner scales, and be smaller than the adult sirens. Sirens are considered a young adult once they've reached two hundred years old (every decade is how they count an age; example being: 2 decs= 20 years old, 4.5 decs= 45 years old, etc.. But, sirens age... kinda slow. The young grow rather slowly, but will look like teens by age thirteen, buuut they kinda stay like that until they reach 200 years old. Thus, why sirens only consider them an adult at that age: because they look/act older, and have enough experience by then to be considered a young adult).
Sirens are protective of their young, which can be called pups or guppies. Nicknames can be near anything, from shrimp and krill, to angelfish and seal, to eel and crab (Note: shrimp and krill are generally used for small/young/scrawny pups, angelfish and seal are generally used for cute/pretty/handsome pups/sirens, and eel and crab are generally used as unsavory words, the equivalent to calling someone a b*tch/b*stard or shrew/jerk). Sirens don't have a lot of pups, due to humans hunting them down and/or using them for their scales, voices, or for meat/as a trophy. This has led to many sirens killing or enslaving humans, as a way of enacting revenge or to hurt humans for their past sins... For this au, you can imagine the platonic yans as anyone from Marvel, but I mainly stick with Avengers and X-Men heroes and villains. In this, I mainly imagine the X-Men heroes and villains (but again, free feel to imagine who you want).
The reader, for this au, has never met another siren. They don't even know anything about siren customs or culture, because they have kept themselves hidden from others of their own species. The reader is young, somewhere between 1.5 decs (15 years) and 2 decs (20 years). They were raised by a human, who took then in when they were able to escape a siren pup trafficking group... But, the reader moves into a siren territory, due to having to hide after their parent dies, and not wanting anyone to discover what they are... Cue the reader ending up in a coastal town, busy and bustling and full of water... and full of platonic yans...
I have ideas for different scenarios, which I will try to do a few, such as if they meet the siren X-Men and/or Brotherhood, what each platonic yan from those looks like in siren form, and perhaps the yans discovering the reader is a siren pup... (And not not mention each group wanting to have the reader, once discovered to be one of them, join their pod/school, staying in the group nest with the other pups... and yes, do expect the adult platonic yans acting like overprotective parents/relatives, and the younger platonic yans acting like possessive siblings... and lots and lots of purring, chirping, clicks, and some soft hypnosis).
This was a honeycomb thought for the 🦈SirenSong!AU!

gurl🤣 @kitxxb1ch let's start with diet... it also depends on what type they are - which is related to the climate/environment the mermaid lives in. They don't eat at all like we humans do, they could hardly digest most of the things we eat (processed, oily and sugary food etc). What they eat is very natural and organic, basically what they find in their environment! They definitely eat a lot of fish. Vegetarian diets are not really durable, as they need lots of protein especially when they swim long distances. The freshwater ones sometimes go for herbivore diet but it's not soo common i think. As you might know, mermaids are good hunters (fast and flexible like dolphins) and they most often hunt in groups. Except deep sea water mermaids, all other kinds usually live in pods. But back to the diet, seaweed is always a go to snacking option, kelp, kale, and wakame are extremely healthy and full of vitamins and proteins. But also crab/lobster/shrimp meat and all the different kinds of the local fish in their environment can be eaten (obviously all in raw form). I think those in tropical regions are also used to eating fruits every now and then.
regarding the other topic... is that so necessary for u to know before u shift there?🤣 I don't really wanna talk about 😭but ...ehm i'll do it but only very briefly 💀 if ur under the age of 16 please read some other posts .. pls :|
anyways so about the reproductive organs ... for mermen the p is internal and it emerges from a slit in the front side of the tail when aroused. For the female, as mentioned in the other post as well the opening is also in the frontal slit in between the pelvic fins. It is covered by large, flexible scales that are connected to the tail. This prevents water from flowing inside and causing infection. These flexible scales can be moved out of the way during the deed, and the p can be inserted there. The womb is located pretty much in the same place as for humans. Pls don't ask me for more info🤠

Welcome to my shop!
We have a lot of trinkets, tools, and pets! We can also have some things custom-made for you, if you'd like. Our door is always open, and we welcome anyone. Even if you don't buy anything.
The currency is coins, but we are willing to negotiate. We will often take items needed for crafting and such as payment.
Items:
We have cloaks of camouflage, which shift color to blend in to your surroundings.
We've got the lighthearted potions. A powder to make a person rhyme for a few hours, a candy that gives them a high voice for a day or two, and the kaleidoscope glasses cleaner. Makes em see everything like a kaleidoscope, obviously.
We've got the ones that alter emotions. Buy 2, get one free! Or you can mix and match to your heart's desire.
How about the soaps? One makes it so you never have to bathe again, it'll keep you clean. Another one makes mosquitoes terrified of you. Permanently.
Or there's the arm-band that gives you an outfit that morphs into whatever you deem fitting for the occasion.
As for the armband, I recommend wearing clothes underneath, just in case it malfunctions. Just leggings and a t-shirt. I've had angry customers wanting refunds and they were a pain in the knuckles.
Also, a pill that makes you not a loser. I take it daily. I don't think it's too effective.
There's the leaf crown that gives you the ability to photosynthesize... but your eyes will turn green while you're wearing it. Which isn't the worst of things. Green eyes are pretty.
There's a thermometer, it measures figurative warmth and cold.
We've got the magnet from the Shaggy Man in the Wizard of Oz. Makes people love you. Honestly, I think all the love potions are overrated.
We've also got bracelets with attachable charms including but not limited to: charisma, intelligence, stamina, strength, speed, stealth, wit, etc.
There is also a pocketknife that can never be lost, a notepad that takes notes for you, and a book that changes its story every time you finish it.
A pair of hair-pieces. You exchange it with a person, and it allows controlled, consensual telepathic communication. The simple ones are a button apeice. The multi-dimensional ones cost a seashell for a pair, but if you get the multiple dimension ones, I can offer you a discount.
We have nail polish that can turn your fingernails into claws that can cut through metal.
We've also got earrings that give you controlled selective hearing. And yes, we also carry the magnetic kind.
Pets:
Some new items!
Bags, that when you put something into it, it does not have any weight. Great for traveling.
Little metal beetles that can be programmed to detect almost anything you'd like; such as water, warmth, certain types of plants, or even tracking animals.
Mirrors that show not physical appearance, but personality.
Hourglasses that measure the time until your next sneeze.
Candles. You can put a memory you want to forget into them, and then when it burns out, the memory will be gone.
Fish eggs. They're for fish about the size of a minnow, but you can use them to relay messages. They whisper in your ear. And all of the species have a hive mind, so you could use them to spy.
Well, the fish, we've also got birds. The parakeets will pretty much do what you tell them to. They're smarter than most. We've got the axolotls, they basically just look cute and question everything you do. Our crabs are crabby, our frogs can make it rain, toads will selectively eat the bugs you don't like, and turtles are pretty wise. The squirrels are excellent trackers, and can find almost anything. But they'll never shut up.
We're not supposed to sell the hawks because they have an extremely keen sense of justice, and have injured their owners for being prejudiced or unjust. If I made an exception, you'd have to raise it from a fledgling, to raise it loyal to you.
We are currently working on getting larger animals. Ferrets coming soon!
You'd have to sigh a waiver for that though.
Some new pets!
Monkeys! They're pretty awesome. No magical abilities, but quite well behaved and very fun to spend time with. But they need a lot of enrichment.
Glow worms that can read books to you.
Caribou. Very friendly and great emotional support.
Hummingbirds. They bring better luck.
Sloths. They sleep so you don't have to. This is literal. If you let them sleep, you will not need sleep.
Employees:
If you're interested in buying something from my shop, feel welcome to come in! Speak to one of these people if you want to buy something, or have something custom made.
Firefly: Troubled past, silly, easy to please, cares deeply about people and is a fierce fighter. Gone most of the time on quests and such.
Tumblr media
Ohtacaro: Quiet, smart, stereotypical ninja, has a cat named Randir. He and Otsi'stia have a sign language that they came up with for private conversations.
Tumblr media
Otsi'stia: She is clever, practical, and the twin sister of Ohtacaro. She is less withdrawn than he is, but usually won't start a conversation for no reason. Hates small talk. Will get straight to the point.
Tumblr media
Hotaru: Cheerful, hyper, enthusiastic. She's innocent and loves everyone. She just wants to help people. She is easily fascinated by little things. Especially koi fish.
Tumblr media
Jon: Has a sense of humor, charming, and loves books. He is good at planning and dealing with people. He won't take abuse, and won't let you abuse his friends, either. He hates it when things get awkward.
Tumblr media
Rena: A little bit bossy. She can be a grouch. You do NOT want to get on her bad side. But the number one way to get on her bad side is to be mean to Hotaru. She goes on runs to clear her head, and is currently taking anger management courses, because Jon and Lilian made her do it.
Tumblr media
Lilian: The comforting, motherly one. She'll probably invite you in for a cup of tea, or babysit your pets or children or irresponsible friends. She wants you to be okay. She usually has calming music playing in the background, and she can be really poetic when she wants to be.
Tumblr media
Soraya: The mechanic/scientist/inventor. Not a great fan of eye contact. Shy, as in, almost never speaks to anyone. Has her own space to work in, and stays there most of the time, but often goes to the library, or to the abandoned lot to test things out. She is extremely intelligent and a problem solver.

in honor of us being blessed w/ more gaming leaks today: i've been contemplating his favorite dim sum dish for a while and finally decided on one >:D
cw for mentions of game leaks and food under the cut!
there are so many dim sum dishes to choose from so i basically had to hone in on one by ruling out categories
also i'm assigning him a fav dim sum dessert bc i feel like desserts deserve their own category ><
first of all, i intentionally did not consider larger dishes, such as salted fish fried rice, crispy soy sauce fried noodles, etc., bc technically you can get those at any chinese restaurant, not just a dim sum one
second, i'm excluding expensive dishes you'd typically only see at banquets, such as crab, lobster, etc., bc i'm trying to hc a dish he'd be able to order often when he goes out in a party of 4
third, since canto food is generally light and mild, i think he'd prefer this type of cuisine over food w/ strong spices or flavors. that isn't to say he can't handle or doesn't enjoy stronger tasting food, but i think milder dishes are what he'd go for if he wanted comfort food
now. since he has to stay in shape for his guard duty and performances, i don't think he'd like having fried food often. i think he'd prefer smth lighter so he wouldn't feel sluggish. this would exclude fried calamari, xo sauce stir fried cheung fun, fried pumpkin w/ salted egg yolk, etc.
i'm gonna rule out vegetable dishes too (sorry vegetables!!) bc even though they're good, they're typically not the highlight of dim sum
moving on to other dishes, i'm ruling out har gow and siu mai (don't come at me for this) bc of the fact that they're standard dim sum dishes. yes, they're yummy and are telling of the quality of the dim sum restaurant, but i don't think he'd say they're his Favorite dish out of all the options. i have nothing against har gow and siu mai ok, it's just that i don't think he'd pick one of those as his top favorite bc it's standard to order them every time you get dim sum anyway.
even after ruling all these dishes out, there are still a lot left at this point. so, to make my life easier and bc i felt like it, i decided to hc that gaming likes sweet food. you may ask why and my answer is 1. bc i can, 2. bc it would be gap moe of him to have an energetic, fiery personality while preferring gentle sweets, and 3. bc i can. again bc it's canto cuisine, it's mild sweetness he's looking for.
after deciding on this, the two dishes that came to mind were char siu bao and phoenix claws. it's really funny that i thought of char siu bao bc judging by the look of gaming's recently leaked specialty dish, it's steamed char siu bao.
additional hc: i think he really likes char siu bao, and if he had to pick he'd go for the steamed kind rather than the baked kind bc it's soft and fluffy. interestingly enough, i decided on this prior to the leaks about his specialty dish, the description of which says it's steamed. mhy and i are on the same wavelength fr.
that being said. i'm gonna rule out char siu bao specifically because it's food you can eat on the go. because the story blurb in gaming's drip marketing says he spends his leisure time at the dim sum restaurant, i think he'd want to order smth he doesn't usually get to eat and smth he can take his time enjoying.
in conclusion, i think his favorite dim sum dish would be phoenix claws, which fits those two criteria. it's sweet, a dish that you can only get at dim sum restaurants, and he can take his time savoring it.
as for his favorite dim sum dessert, i had an easier time deciding bc i decided on the steamed char siu bao preference hc beforehand. i'm gonna go with the steamed custard buns bc they have a gentle sweetness and are also soft and fluffy. do you see my vision here? it's all coming together.
thank you for coming to my ted talk, i love him a lot as you can see

The way my culture influenced my eating habits growing up amazes me. I grew up eating shrimp, fish, scallops, crab, etc. Like any type of seafood and it'd be gone in a matter of minutes. But you couldn't sit down and give me a ham and cheese sandwich. I would've started bawling right then and there.

since talas has to eat One Big Thing every month or so like you said and i assume communities around the globe are reeling in their own leviathans, what are their populations like? are there plenty, are they going extinct, are leviathans each unique things, or are there things like common and rare species etc and if so do these normal, not shapeshifter leviathans display special abilities like hades' being a blowtorch or talas' ice beam (SORRY for this i love the idea of gigantic ocean creatures being regular things and would love to see more of the biome sort of stuff this world has if you've given it any thought!!! love the characters and the gay eels yes but the enviromence...) are there leviathan hunting rules/regulations like throwing back female blue crabs...........
Oh good question! :]
Leviathans are one hundred percent NOT going extinct. The ocean is massive and immensely deep, there are MANY of them out there. Comparatively, there are very few mers because there's very little land, and they hunt for resources, not to fill a quota or just for sport, so leviathan hunting does not drive them to extinction. If we're gonna use Talas as a comparison, average mer communities would be able to rely on maybe one hunt a month or so as well, roughly.
And yeah there is a hunting guild that somewhat regulates hunts (there's not like,,, hard law syndicate or whatever), for the most part to make sure the ecosystem does not take damage. Merfolk are a part of the ecosystem too just like the big leviathans are so they both fulfil their role in it
In general leviathans do have some "species" that they can be categorized in but in general tend to be unique, but that's because I like designing different things and I like the idea of some of them being completely unexplained x) so I guess the answer of that is there's both kinds. Could be theres a species of leviathans that are like whales and live in pods, sometimes a fish just Becomes Fucking Huge, sometimes [redacted information], etc etc. Free real estate
Some DO have special abilities as well, the most common beam attack ones are water jets, poison, and acid (siege for example, is a non-shifter leviathan who spits acid). Fire is really rare but it happens. Sometimes they do have other abilities like hypnosis or illusions that are meant to be more defensive than offensive. I don't have a whole lot of info on that though bc the general vibe for that is giving them the vibes of some irl sailor legends for "what sea monsters could potentially do", some of em could be tall tales some of em could be real
As for biomes.... I have the overland ones set pretty much. Still have not decided on a lot of the ocean ones, but theres a lot. I would like to have a subnautica-esque variety of them (as in, really varied with some of them really colorful) but I havent gotten around to actually think thonking of them very much yet. Funny enough my own world's oceans are largely unexplored to me at the moment x) but I will get on that for sure!
Currently the biomes ive at least thought out are the polar areas (especially voids embrace), a volcanic area around the spine, with a lot of hydrothermal vents and stuff (things get real weird there), the tropic belt is filled with life and colors and is neighbored by grand reefs which are also filled with life and colors

Okay, here's a question for you: Grima + seafood. I have a character who grew up predominantly near the water and therefore grew up eating lots of seafood, and while I feel like Grima would probably have eaten a lot of normal fish, he might balk at crustaceans (much to my character's amusement), and so I got curious to know your thoughts on the matter! I admit that I don't know if Middle-Earth's waterways would even have crustaceans, but I wanted to hear your thoughts nonetheless!
Oooh yessss more Grima + Food questions, my favourite
I don't see why Middle Earth's freshwater sources would be so different from that of Europe's where they wouldn't host more than just fish - so I think you are safe to assume if Grima lived near a fresh water source he would have been familiar with all that such a vibrant ecosystem had to offer in terms of food.
For shellfish and molluscs and the like--he absolutely would be familiar with them! Or, at least, fresh water iterations, depending on where you have him growing up. Obviously marshland vs lakes vs streams vs swift running rivers are all going to provide different options (though definitely with overlap between some of them).
Some of the shellfish he might have known include freshwater oysters, mussels, clams, snails etc.
In streams, rivers, lakes and other such there's crawfish - which was historically a huge food source in Europe (though generally not the UK, but middle earth isn't bound to UK environment thank god, especially not Rohan). This means Grima seeing a lobster would be like "huh, a very large and weird looking crawfish".
An potentially fun nuance to add is that crawfish were, at various times, considered a bit of a luxury item and so it might be something he had greater access to as he climbed up the metaphorical food chain.
However, if he grew up where they naturally occur, and depending how you want to write land ownership and poaching/foraging laws in Rohan, he might have just had them around as day-to-day food. Or, it might have been something he (and his family) secretly foraged/poached from whoever the big-wig land over was.
There are also freshwater crabs of different sorts--found predominantly streams and rivers--so that's another food source he may have been familiar with.
Lake shrimp! that's another freshwater crustacean he might be familiar with. They're generally harvested for their tail meat.
In terms of characters getting seafood into Rohan, I really don't see that happening simply because of the distance that would be required to travel and the slow nature of transportation in middle earth. If Grima is eating seafood, like lobster or salt-water based crabs, oysters etc. he would have to be in a coastal town, or very near one that transportation on ice can be done in a timely manner.
--
Another thing to consider when thinking through food access and cultivation and what a character might have had or not had, or the quantity of it, is land management.
In Europe, the medieval period saw the rise of legislation intended for protecting freshwater fish--particularly young stock and migrating spawning fish from over exploitation.
Therefore, Rohan might have laws on when you can harvest crawfish and how many you're allowed to harvest at a time from a specific area.
--
Also a fun thing to think through is the cultural relationship with fishing and how it may have changed. Rohan historically was a nomadic society, and would have likely made great use of northern rivers and lakes in Rhovanion, where they originate from.
Depending on how much they incorporated fishing into their regular food-obtaining practices (it would have been seasonal), they likely would have developed a strong cultural relationship with the activity and the food it produced. How much of this relationship survived their colonsing/settling in what is now known as Rohan is up to the writer.
Also, did Dunlanders have a strong fishing practice? If so, when the Rohirrim colonized that land, how much did they absorb? How much did they erase? We know they expelled the Dunlanders, but even in an expulsion based scenarios, cultural exchange/shift is never a one-way street. Therefore they would have likely adopted things of the Dunlander traditions as much as Dunlanders that remained may have been forced to adopt Rohirrim traditions.
From an article on historical freshwater fishing in Europe:
Archaeologists have identified fishing cultures in prehistoric societies in Western Europe, for example, among Magdalenian hunter-gatherers in France and Northern Iberia both through bones and art, while the Mesolithic period in Scandinavia was also rich in fishing communities. These fisheries continued to be exploited through the millennia, not least in northern Europe. Artisanal fishing was of great importance in the historic period for the Sami, whose specialised fisher-hunter-forager cultures existed until recently along northern rivers and larger lakes in Sweden and in Finland. The Fisher-Sami fished the lakes of Tjäurajaure and Tjieggelvas in Swedish Lapland and the Inari Sami were predominately fishermen in Lake Inari in northern Finland until recently. The Skolt Sami in the borderland between Russia and Finland were mainly fishers before the Second World War. Like other fishing Sami, they migrated along rivers to their camp sites following the fishing season and although this practice has declined, many Skolt Sami are still fishermen.
If you want to have Rohan keeping some of its migratory/nomadic culture, you can people living in seasonal establishments. (This is what I have happening in What Makes a King where Grima grew up in one such community that moved with the seasons to specific areas, which they had done so for generations.)
From the same article:
[...] a medieval example is that of the farmer fishers of the south Devon coast in England, who had secondary seasonal settlements for fishing along the coastline and in estuaries. These ‘cellar settlements’ were used for storing fishing equipment, smoking fish and replaced by permanent fishing villages from the end of the fifteenth century. The fisher farmer lifestyle was found along many parts of the British coastline, practiced most recently in remote islands such as Orkney and Shetland off the Scottish northern coast and the now depopulated St Kilda west of the Outer Hebrides.
They're speaking, of course, to coastlines but the practice is also done inland along freshwater rivers, lakes, marshes and the like.
-----
Ok I have gone on far too long about freshwater fish and fishing.
All this to say, Grima would not be flumuxed by crustaceans and would likely look at a lobster and go "large, different coloured crawfish relation of some kind!" Crabs he would have no issue with, again they're fairly similar in appearance, with some key differences (size, colour, shape of claws). Shrimp he may know. Same for a lot of molluscs, he would likely know them as related to the freshwater version he eats.
It's taste where things would differ! Saltwater mussels and freshwater mussels taste different! That is the sort of thing where he might have a "huh, interesting" moment.

hihihi! do you have any ideas for activities for somebody whos a tropical sea monster?
Hmmm... a tropical sea monster, huh? I'll *sea*what I can do for you! Puns aside, here is a nice little list for sea monster activities!!!!
Tumblr media
Activities for a tropical sea monster:
Visit a nearby body of water! Preferably an ocean, but any water will do!
Take a warm bath
Take up aquarium keeping and make your habitat! (obviously do your research first and don't just get a wet pet because some random dog on tumblr told you to)
Eat salty foods and snacks (salted chips, caramel with sea salt, etc.)
Better yet, eat foods that connect you to your kintype, like gold fish, salmon, fish in general, blue koolaid/gatorade, crab cakes, seaweed, and anything else that tickles your fancy
Go to a body of water act out your sea monster dreams! Swim, sneak around, watch people from the water....anything that feels right to you! (please don't attack anyone though. that would not be good)
Watch videos about sea monsters and about people looking for them (and laugh at all the information they got wrong about you)
Watch ocean livestreams/ocean animal cams
Listen to ocean sounds
Read legends and myths about sea monsters
Buy an ocean scented candle/room spray
Collect ocean themed oddities (seashells, dead starfish/sand dollars, fish skeletons, etc.)

Rotxo love
This is how I view Rotxo in my writing, he needs some focus
So first things first, physically, Rotxo is short for a na'vi
Poor boy is the na'vi equivalent of a human 5'8" - he's not really that short but also, he will be bullied relentlessly
However, he is b u i l t
He's bulky and puts on muscle easily. (Though he has a little bit of a dad bod cause as he should - like as close as fat muscular as a na'vi body can be lmao)
He keeps the sides of his head shaved and the top in a half braided, half curly look that reaches about his mid-shoulder blades
Google says na'vi are 10' so he's like ,,, 9'6"? short king
Partially why he relishes having a human mate cause like ,, he can't talk shit
He wears an obscene amount of beads and jewelry - he is the oldest brother of his 8 siblings (poor boy has three older sisters and three younger, he is one of two boys in the whole house) and they don't mess around in decorating their big brother
Onto personality, he's a big softie
But he's aggressively protective of his family - something he got from growing up with Ronal as his third mom
He grew up prepared to be Ao'nungs right hand, but he didn't always have the drive to be a warrior
He liked the idea but never felt connected to it. It was just a part of the future he was meant to reach
it wasn't until he was pulling desperately at a bomb on Payakans fin and watching Lo'ak sob over his bleeding brother that he realized why he was going to be a warrior
He always mentally attributes his finding reason in his training to Lo'ak and his strength
So he starts training and learning to fight with a newfound passion
Having always been Ao'nungs right hand, its his plan to follow at his side once he's chief and protect their people
Family is the most important thing in their culture and Tonowari has been such a prominent figure in his life that it's his goal to live and die for them
...he needs some help with the self-love and valuing his worth too man
It's part of how he and Spider bond
He's made a majority of his life around Ao'nung and being there for the clan that he forgot to care about himself or really learn about himself as his own person
He finds out he likes cooking while trying to figure out how to not poison Spider after an unfortunate courting accident
He and Lo'ak bond by combining fighting styles and their culture
It's the culture that also helps him bond with Kiri, a surprise to everyone except Spider who knew they'd get on from the start
However, his favorite hobby is fishing - which he gets teased for relentlessly
For all his mischief and jokes, he's an old man at heart
He 100% can and will disappear become he was just vibing out on the water for hours and lost track of time
During which he also attempts to bring home little gifts constantly
He gets it from his little siblings but he's the type to bring you a rock he found and say it was pretty and reminded him of you
So all of his friends have jars of shells, rocks, flowers, etc that he finds for them
However, he also has a habit of collecting strays
He just takes shit home
An octopus was the worst until he showed up two orphaned ash boys that never left
Spider is passionate that its why he fell for him and very smugly holds up that he has a solid argument
But honestly Rotxo just cannot stand someone being alone
He grew up surrounded by so much love and so many people he cared for that the thought of someone being alone when he could fix it makes him feel sick
He is fucking terrified of crabs tho
Tsireya hung one from his loincloth when they were children and ah...things got pinched
Ao'nung used it to torture him growing up and now the one thing he struggle to accept as Ewya's are crabs
Honestly crustaceans in general
He hates them
Learning Spider could eat them was a blessing and a curse
Cause one, easy food to find and two, he gets to see them die (sorry Ewya) but that also means he has to help catch crabs for his family
As teens, it wasn't horrible. But by the time they are grown with 4 kids, it's actually his nightmare
He is a practical joker
He brings it out in Ao'nung too and they can rival Lo'ak and Spider for the amount of mischief they get into
Though theirs is normally innocent and not death or war inducing
The worst thing they ever did was sink a fishing ship - Lo'ak and Spider got kidnapped, they're doing fine
Constantly torn between big brother instinct and little brother instinct
He's the big brother but also,,, 3 big sisters feels like he should have a pass
He isn't as close to them as he'd like
The oldest two are mated to other water clans and the oldest still home is distant, they don't get on super well, but he was close with all three when he was a child
Well, they played a lot.
His mothers are both very doting parents and very loving, but for some reason there was always a disconnect with his directly older sister
The other two are still friendly and loving when they visit, just not as common in his life anymore while she is just ... separate. She hasn't been herself in years
It makes him the acting oldest and he takes that very seriously
He has three little sisters and then the youngest of the family is another boy, all of which are a decent amount younger than him
It wasn't planned that way but he likes having the gap between them, it gives him enough distance to care for them but enough closeness to enjoy them still
They're as much the bane of his existence as they are the joy of it
He will boast about them relentlessly while also trying to drown one because 8 kids was simply 7 too many
Tuk loves the littles though and so he spends a lot of time babysitting with Spider or Neteyam - the two that really get the big brother thing in the two ways he normally expresses it
All in all, he is a big family-loving, lowkey gym buff, softie that needs to learn to love himself
But, until he does, he has a small army prepared to do it for him
I need to keep expanding on this but I needed these thoughts out. Rotxo really hasn't gotten the development he deserves and I can't wait to see how he gets fleshed out

"AYAKA - THE EVE OF A SPECIAL WEDDING" (Novel)
TRANSLATION: NARU-KUN
CHAPTER 6: DECISIVE BATTLE AT KISUI PALACE (Part 1)
* List of Chapters
Breakfast was buffet style.
The dining room itself was small, but the food on display was first class to anyone who looked at it. Seafood salad with lots of crab, marinated salmon, Spanish omelette with cod and avocado, creamed scallops, mussels in wine, fried sea bass, seafood paella, raw oysters, grilled prawns, etc. A beach restaurant. It's a resort, there's a lot of seafood, but it's so luxurious it's hard to believe it's breakfast. Still holding the tray, Yukito looked at the delicacies around him in confusion. He wasn't used to that kind of breakfast. While he stood there stunned, he was suddenly slapped on the back.
"Good morning! Yukito!"
"Good morning."
They were Chatarou and Yako. Yako was well dressed, but Chatarou's hair was disheveled. Feeling relieved, Yukito also returned the greeting.
"Oh, good morning to you both."
"Is this breakfast? It's amazing! It's like a resort!"
"It's extremely luxurious. Will it be profitable...?"
Surely. As Yako said, the dining room was empty, or rather, only Yukito and his friends were there. He wondered what will happen to such a large amount of food.
However, it seemed like Yukito and Yako were the only ones who cared about that. Chatarou quickly placed the plate on the tray and began to chop the food with tongs. Yukito and the others looked at each other for a moment, then laughed at the same time and followed Chatarou.
A few minutes later, the three of them came out to the terrace with a large amount of breakfast on the tray. Ibara was sitting in a seat overlooking the white beach and the blue sea.
"Oh, Ichijou! Good morning!"
Ibara, who was looking at the horizon, looked at Chatarou. Chatarou didn't care and he placed the tray in front of Ibara and settled down. Yako sat next to her. Ibara remained expressionless and narrowed her eyes.
Yukito said in panic.
"This is good?"
Ibara looked at Yukito. He felt that there was a slight smile in those eyes.
"You're already seated, right?"
"That's right. Don't hold back, Yukito."
"You should hold back a little more."
Smiling bitterly at Ibara's blunt words, Yukito placed the tray next to Ibara.
She began to look at the horizon again. Aside from Chatarou who hurriedly started eating breakfast, Yukito and Yako also turned their attention there.
Yako muttered to himself.
"That's amazing, huh?"
Yukito looked into the distance and nodded with a shudder.
A grayish-white wall appeared on the horizon.
The huge wall blocking the sky was a mass of thick clouds. The bluish-white lightning flashing inside can be seen even from a distance. He wondered if the distant roar of the sea is the sound of the angry waves there. However, the blue sky stretched over the hotel and the morning sun was shining brightly.
Grayish-white walls stretch around Gonoshima. Yukito murmured anxiously.
"I guess that's the technique of a spiritual person after all..."
"Of course."
Yukito instinctively straightened up at the voice that suddenly rang.
Ibuki placed the tray next to Yukito and sat down. What's on the plate is like meat, meat, meat, fish, fish, fish, fish. No matter how you look at it, it wasn't a breakfast menu item, but Ibuki casually took his fork out of it and threw it into his mouth along with the sauce that dripped.
Ibara looked at Ibuki and muttered in shock.
"Boss. What does that look like?"
Ibuki was wearing completely different clothes than usual. A bright red Hawaiian shirt, white shorts, and beach sandals. Coupled with his sharp and unyielding face, he looks like the leader of a group of half-grays on vacation.
Ibuki swallowed the meat and grumbled bluntly.
"I borrowed it from the manager."
Apparently, he had not brought a proper change of clothes since he planned to stay for a short period of time. Ibara didn't press any further and simply put the seafood salad in her mouth.
Ibuki said unamused as he looked at the wall of writhing clouds in the distance.
"The old man and the others certainly seem to have a powerful connection. The master is the only user I know who can manipulate nature on such a large scale."
As Yukito released the grilled fish with the tips of his chopsticks, he felt his heart swell.
He had seen the old man in Ninoshima. He just can't seem to connect that gigantic wall of clouds with the old man's cheerful smile. However, he was undoubtedly Gonoshima's strongest connection, and Tsugishima assured him that he would be no match for him even in the East.
That's why they called Kurama last night.
Yukito looked at Ibuki. Ibuki was eating meat in silence.
He had to teach him that. He had to tell Ibuki the information Kurama obtained. To help Jingi, Kurama and Ibuki's cooperation was absolutely necessary. This is not the time to disagree.
Yukito gathered his courage, took the step and opened his mouth.
"Ibuki-san. Um, we contacted Kurama-san yesterday..."
Ibuki looked at Yukito.
Seeing the look in his eyes, Yukito felt an instinctive fear. Feeling prey when a predator appears. Yukito swallowed and continued with a trembling voice.
"It seems that they have discovered the whereabouts of the "Kisuirin". It seems that it is currently kept in the Kisui Palace due to the strategy of a spiritual man."
Ibuki's eyebrows raised. Yukito continued forward with momentum.
"So, um, I explained that Ibuki-san was here, and then Kurama-san said that until I went..."
"Yukito."
There was nothing resembling temperature in the voice that murmured. Yukito's body trembled and he looked down. What little courage he had vanished into a single voice. He couldn't even look at Ibuki's face.
"You guys are free to call him whatever you want. But that has nothing to do with me. I'll do whatever I want. It's okay."
"......"
"If you understand, please answer."
Yukito nodded sheepishly.
He wondered if Ibuki was satisfied with that? Anyway, he left his empty plate where he was and left the terrace.
Once he was out of sight, they let out a collective sigh. Chatarou and Yako also seemed to have stopped breathing, as did Yukito. Yukito threw himself on the table and said in a pitiful voice.
"...Sorry. It didn't work at all."
"No, no! Yukito did a great job!"
"That's right. If it were us, we probably wouldn't have been allowed to say the first word."
Chatarou and Yako comforted Yukito. That agreement was made when they contacted Kurama last night. For Ibuki, Yukito is his younger brother. That's why they thought it would be better for Yukito, who is the one involved, to intervene in the ''family affairs''.
Ibara let out a small sigh.
"I was hoping that they would join forces to bring back Sagawa Jingi, but it seems that our expectations were naive. Well, enough is enough. Instead..."
Ibara turned her gaze towards the wall of clouds in the distance.
"Will that person really come?"
Of course, there is no one there who can answer that.
The technique of a spiritual man who can even control nature. There's no way it can seem meaningless. Perhaps yesterday's communication with Kurama was captured by the spiritual man. They don't know if the content of the conversation was leaked, but they are sure that they discovered that Yukito and his friends were at the hotel. And help will come from outside.
The barrier to that is probably that wall.
Ibara said as she poked the bacon and lettuce with a fork.
"Get organized. Our purpose is twofold."
She raised the fork in front of her and twirled it, causing the lettuce to flutter.
"One is to rescue Jingi Sagawa. This is our first objective. The other is the discovery and capture of the "Kisuirin". This is a secondary objective, but it is a high priority."
"If we take the "Kisuirin" and return it from Jingi-san's hands to Kisuinomiya Sango, the "contract" between those people will be invalidated."
"But will it really be that convenient? They are the kind of people who forcibly kidnap people one by one. Even if they fight back, aren't they ignored?"
"I have no choice but to trust Tsugishima Sakurainochi. He is the one who knows the most about the customs of spiritual people."
Chatarou groaned and fell silent. Ibara was right. Even if there are risks, you have to believe in something when you act.
Ibara twirled the fork again.
"Back to the topic. It is absolutely necessary to recover the "Kisuirin". Otherwise, Sagawa Jingi will be hunted forever. It is certain that that spiritual person has it, but I don't know where it is hidden. We have to sneak into the Kisui Palace and find it."
"Oh, us? I wonder if he's okay..."
"It's definitely not right. The other side has better connection skills, so it's better to think that they will find it first. That's why..."
Ibara pointed her fork at Yukito.
"Yukito Yanagi and I will make a distraction."
"Hey..."
Yukito is confused by the sudden nomination. Chatarou made an accusatory sound.
"Wait, why Yukito? Taking on such a dangerous role..."
"Because Yukito Yanagi can't use the "hidden technique"."
Hidden technique: It is a trick to hide yourself. Certainly, Yukito cannot use it. In fact, he did not even know that such a technique existed.
"You can use it, so you are suitable for infiltration and search. Yukito Yanagi can't use it, but he is strong. In that case, he is more suitable for the role of being violent and attracting attention."
"Ah..."
"Besides, we're not the only ones acting as a distraction. When we board the ship, the boss will be with us. So we can't say which one is more dangerous. Even if they get caught, there won't be anyone to help them."
Anxiety crossed Chatarou and Yako's expressions. It would be better if Kurama came, but with that wall of clouds blocking them, they don't know what will happen. If Kurama doesn't show up, they'll have to infiltrate Kisui Palace alone.
A shadow of suffering covered Yukito's heart. He looked at the roasted fish that had cooled and muttered to himself.
"Is it okay to ask that person for help?"
Everyone instantly knew who he was referring to.
"No! What are you talking about, Yukito-kun?"
As if involuntarily, Yako raised his hips and screamed loudly. What flashed in his eyes was a look of impatience and concern. Yukito flinched at Yako's flustered expression.
"Yako is right. Forget about her, Yukito."
The usually cheerful Chatarou's deep and low words echoed. The eyes behind the glasses looked accusingly at Yukito.
He understands what they mean. Making a deal with a witch is not something Yukito wants at all. Although it was to help Jingi, it was too high a price to pay to stop being Jingi's disciple.
But...
Yukito stared at the small black box in his hand. Sagaramurudi gave it to him when they separated.
--- If that's what you want, I'll help you right away.
She will never change her words. If Yukito wishes. And what they were about to travel was an infinitely difficult path. Under such circumstances, is it really possible that oneself does not want the help of a powerful connection?
If Kurama appears, that anxiety will disappear. But for now, all he could do was turn his gaze from him to the wall of clouds with deep anxiety.
+++++++++++
"Are you sure you're going?"
Yang's voice had a rather amused tone.
Kurama did not respond, instead he looked towards the enormous cloud rising in front of him. As he approached he realized that it was more of a storm than a cloud. The roaring wind, the rain falling like gravel, and the eerie bluish-white lightning bolts are blocking the view of him.
The two are at Shinoshima Station. The place where Yukito and his friends were sent away, and is the source of Kurama's regret.
Standing on the edge of the white platform, Kurama closed his eyes loosely.
This storm could not have been natural. The vitality is too strong. It must have been the work of someone, more precisely a spiritual being. That old man, known as the Elder, is so powerful that he can stop the sea. If so, it would be possible to cause a storm.
He doesn't know anyone other than Yanagi who has that kind of power.
"This is the end, my farewell. My life is at stake."
"Very well. From now on, it is my responsibility. Not yours."
"That's good. It would be helpful if you could convey that to the others as well. That I have done my duty properly."
Kurama looked at Yang's narrowed eyes suspiciously. Although Kurama didn't trust the man who came from that continent, it was true that he was still useful.
Yang's lips curved into a tight smile as if that thought had been conveyed to him.
"In my hometown there is a saying: "It's easy to make a lot of money, but it's hard to make friends." I want to earn the trust of other people on this island. That's all."
"I see."
There seemed to be some credibility in those words. Although he didn't know how he planned to use it, Kurama still bowed deeply to Yang.
"Thank you for your help, Yang-sensei. I hope we continue to unite for the peace and harmony of Ninoshima."
Yang waved a hand.
"Good luck, Kurama-sensei. I hope you come back alive. Trusting the dead won't help you."
Kurama narrowed his eyes, but said nothing.
Wait. The train tracks go on and on, disappearing behind the angry clouds. As if to challenge it, Kurama quickly made a seal and released a spell.
"Man, earth and sky. Between heaven and earth, it is empty and never ends, and it moves until it finally comes out."
Kurama's legs left the platform and he slid through the air. Thus, his body was submerged in the raging storm.
"......!"
The inside of the storm bothered Kurama even more than what he saw from the outside. The roar deafened his ears and the violent wind threatened to blow him away. The raindrops obscured his vision, making it impossible for him to see even a few meters ahead. Inside, the only guide was the train tracks passing below.
Railways connect all the islands. In theory, if they followed this line, they could even reach Nananoshima.
Therefore, Kurama flew just above the sea surface. The high waves hit again and again, soaking Kurama's hunting clothes from head to toe. Even so, Kurama did not close his eyes. He was now jumping into the middle of the enemy's techniques. He had to open his eyes to see what was going to attack him and what kind of glare would appear.
Finally, the end of the line was in sight.
Even in the midst of the storm, the platform stood out in white. Kurama stopped his jutsu and landed on the platform.
The station name board with the words "Gonoshima" written on it continues to sway while exposed to strong winds.
At this moment, a familiar voice rang out above the sound of the wind.
"Master!"
"Kurama-sensei, this way!"
Kurama took a breath and looked towards the voice. On the other side of the platform, Chatarou and Yako stood in the pouring rain and wind.
Without umbrellas, they were soaked, smiling and waving.
"...Chatarou. Yako."
Kurama approached them, raising his wet hair. He asked in a low voice to the two disciples, who were smiling as if their faces were glued together.
"What happened to Yukito-kun?"
The two spoke in unison while smiling.
"Yukito is dead!"
"We kill him!"
"The same thing will happen to you from now on, master!"
At the same time, their upper bodies writhed. With claws growing on all four of their hands, Chatarou and Yako... The illusion that took their form attacked Kurama from above.
Kurama made a seal at lightning speed.
"A fish must not escape from the abyss. A dishonorable ship must not be shown to anyone!"
A flash of light scattered the two approaching shadows. His final screams didn't sound like screams. The sound of the ocean could be heard in the distance, or maybe it was something like that.
Kurama calmed down and observed his surroundings.
His feet are on the platform. However, Kurama had no idea it was real. There are a wide variety of techniques to refine and manipulate life energy. He knew there were many ways to deceive and dazzle people.
Is the owner of this illusion the same one who created the storm?
Or was there another genjutsu lurking within the storm technique?
Kurama stopped thinking at that. He closed his eyes, he made the sign again with his hands and began to draw life energy from his life vein.
A voice sounded as if he wanted to interrupt that.
"Master."
"Master. Kurama-sensei..."
It sounded like it was coming from beneath Kurama's feet, like he was coming from the depths of the earth. At the same time, something grabbed his ankle.
Kurama didn't open his eyes. Illusions are nothing more than things that disturb the mind and deceive the ears and eyes. It is not enough to be afraid if you close your heart and cover your eyes and ears.
"Man, earth and sky!"
Chatarou and Yako's curses continue to echo through the spaces between the murmured spells.
"Why?"
"Why did you bring us to this place?"
"Master, it's cold."
"Master, it's dark."
"It's cold and dark."
"Master, please come with me."
The disciples shouted in anger, but Kurama's heart was not disturbed. He knew for sure that it was just an illusion, that the real Chatarou and Yako were on the real island of Gonoshima.
Kurama took a deep breath and opened his eyes, trying to complete the spell.
At this moment, another voice rang.
"Why, Haruaki...?!"
Kurama's breathing became erratic for a moment when he felt the ugly, distorted right hand that was wrapped around his feet.
The next moment, something wrapped around Kurama's neck. The platform that should have been under his feet disappeared and a tremendous force dragged him into the water. The cold seawater soaked his entire body and his breath foamed out of his mouth. The pale, shimmering surface of the sea was receding rapidly.
There was a muffled female voice in his ear.
"My order is not to allow anyone to enter the island, Kurama Haruaki-sama."
Kurama closed his eyes again as he was dragged to the bottom of the dark ocean.

Yukito watched anxiously as the sun set and fell beyond the storm wall.
Two days had passed since then. Tonight, the celebration will begin in "Kerukaiden". The mission to rescue Jingi and escape from this island is about to begin.
Despite that, Kurama was nowhere to be seen.
"Master..."
Yako, who had approached him before he realized it, muttered to himself. Yukito looked at his profile. His normally gentle expression was filled with deep anxiety.
It was not surprising. Kurama is his master. The master did not come to the place he said he would come and could not contact him. His concern for his safety was probably even greater than Yukito's.
However, Yako looked at Yukito and forced a smile.
"It's okay, I'm sure he's having trouble getting through that storm. Sensei will be here soon."
Yukito blinked a few times and nodded. Yukito wished he could have said something witty, but the words never came to mind. Yako always cared about him, but he felt bad for not being able to do the same.
Chatarou and Ibara left the room almost at the same time.
"Hey. You're early, both of you."
Chatarou smiled and patted Yukito on the back. Yukito didn't miss his always cheerful manner, but for a moment he turned his gaze to the other side of the clouds. Chatarou is also afraid. He just tries not to show it.
"Come on."
He murmured and started walking, taking the lead.
He walked towards the hotel along the dock that leads to the floating cabin. Ibuki was already waiting on the beach at sunset. Instead of wearing a Hawaiian shirt and shorts, he was wearing his usual black suit. He was standing with his arms crossed, but he wasn't looking at Yukito or the others.
The person he is looking at is a vague looking man standing by the beach. A spiritual man.
If he remembers correctly, I think his name was Taro. He was the spiritual man who took Yukito and his friends to the Kisui village that day.
Employees like them were always monitoring Yukito's movements. He never gets in his way or tries to cause him any harm. But they were always there.
"I guess they'll keep an eye on us and let us know if anything happens. They're his henchmen."
Ibuki had said that at some point. Yukito thought that was true. They were enemies. And Yukito learned that there are some types of enemies that won't attack you.
"Boss. Everything ready."
Ibara called out to Ibuki, who was looking at the spiritual man. Still, Ibuki didn't turn around. Instead, he approached the spiritual man and his footsteps crunched on the sand.
Yukito and the others looked at each other.
Ibuki had also been informed of the details of the plan: Yukito and Ibara would act as a distraction, and Chatarou and Yako would take the opportunity to infiltrate. Ibuki agreed and announced that he would also participate in the detour, but he did not say anything about specific arrangements. There's no point in talking unless they get to Kisui Village first, but...
"Hey."
Ibuki spoke to Taro and Taro responded politely.
"What's up, customer?"
"Give me your car keys."
A hint of confusion appeared on Taro's impassive expression.
"The car is property of the hotel."
"I know. But lend it to me. I need it."
Taro let his gaze wander from him. He is certain that no client has ever made such an unreasonable request. When Taro realized that there was no help around him, he said in a weak voice.
"If you need help, please contact us..."
"My job is to attack your village. Do you plan to help me with that? No problem, just lend it to me."
When Taro opened his mouth, Ibuki slowly took out a gun from his pocket and pointed the barrel at him.
A minute later, Ibuki was listening to Yukito's furious protests as he inserted the car key into the tuk-tuk's key cylinder.
"It's a disaster! Why did you do that?! Is it a robbery?!"
Frowning in annoyance, Ibuki started the engine and grabbed the steering wheel.
"They kidnapped Jingi and tried to imprison you. There's no point in being polite to them."
"It's not because of that...!"
"If you have any complaints, get out of the car. You're going to walk to town."
Yukito gritted his teeth and closed his mouth.
Ibuki stepped on the accelerator.
The tuk-tuk jumped and began to run along the rugged roads of the southern country. Chatarou and Yako clung to the side bar in panic. While doing so, Chatarou asked Ibara.
"Oh, is your boss always like this...?"
"Well, mostly."
Ibara's voice was full of resignation.
The tuk-tuk moved at high speed through the trees and along the road that runs along the coast. It was already dusk and a wall of thick white clouds still separated the sky from the sea. Until the crescent moon cloak hid everything, Yukito watched the scene with a slight hope that Kurama would appear.
Finally, twice as fast as when Taro was driving, the tuk-tuk reached Kisui village.
The town was bright and deserted. There was a large path running through the center, and on either side were many bonfires that illuminated the area in orange, but the villagers who were supposed to have lit them were nowhere to be seen.
Parking the tuk-tuk on its side, Ibuki jumped out of the car first. His eyes moved left and right, his eyes alert. After that, Ibara got out of the car, followed by Yukito, Chatarou, and Yako.
"There is nobody here?"
Ibuki looked at Chatarou who muttered in a low voice.
"We will split up here. You guys will infiltrate. Me, Ibara and Yukito will go from the front."
"Hey..."
Ibuki continued to stare coldly at Chatarou, who made a confused sound. Chatarou swallowed and nodded deeply.
"Oh, I get it!"
"Please be careful."
Ibuki snorted at Yako's words and took a step forward.
They then looked at Yukito and Ibara. Chatarou lightly patted Yukito on the shoulder, frowning worriedly.
"Be careful, Yukito. And Ichijou too."
"Uh, yes. That too..."
"At best, they won't find me."
"So how to say it!"
After saying that angrily, Chatarou laughed. That laugh infected Yako and then Yukito. And also Ibara. Her mouth curved into something resembling a smile, and Chatarou smiled at her, as if to give her something.
Then, the two looked at each other, clasped their hands, and shouted at the same time.
"Man, earth and sky! I can see this, but I can't see it, so I'll give it a name and call it Yi!"
A sudden gust of wind enveloped Chatarou and Yako. The next moment, they were nowhere to be seen, as if they had been blown away by the wind.
"Come on."
Ibuki called to Yukito who was looking around and continued forward. Yukito began to walk alongside Ibara.
Yukito stared at the crackling bonfire as he walked. The bonfires that illuminated the main street, however, did not illuminate the gaps between the houses. Something could be lurking in the shadows. Spiritual beings, or perhaps they were connected to them? Every time Yukito remembered the image of them chasing him across the ocean, he felt his arms tremble. The Kisui Palace looked like a huge wall in the dark. A torch was tied to the top of the door, but it was as expected.
There was no one there. Without hesitation, Ibuki walked up the stone steps and through the door. Ibara and Yukito did the same.
After taking a few steps through the entrance hall, a sharp metallic sound echoed from behind.
Yukito instinctively turned around. An iron-barred door blocked his escape route. However, Yukito was the only one with a scared expression on his face. Both Ibuki and Ibara walked down the hallway with cold faces and finally suddenly stopped at the same time.
Before he knew it, two men were standing in the center of the hallway.
They were two contrasting people. One was a large, tanned, muscular man, with almost no expression on his face. The other is a handsome man, with light skin, with a smile on his thin lips.
Both spirits seemed familiar.
A light-skinned man named Josei stepped forward and bowed respectfully.
"We have been waiting for you, Yukito Yanagi, Ibara Ichijou and Aka Ibuki. By order of my master, Sango Kisuinomiya, I will guide you from here."
"Which one is the old one?"
Ibuki asked absently. Josei bowed his head.
"None of us are old. The one here is Uzura, and I..."
"If you're not the old man, you don't have to say your name. He's the only one I don't trust."
Ibuki didn't want to say anything else. He started walking slowly again. Josei looked at him suspiciously and raised a hand to stop him.
"Please wait, Ibuki-san."
With a gesture as natural as taking out a wallet in a store, Ibuki took the gun out of his pocket, took aim, and pulled the trigger. The water jug across the hall shattered and a light stream of blood flowed from Josei's cheek.
In an instant, the emotion disappeared from Josei's well-groomed face.
Ibuki looked at him amused and muttered to himself.
"There are still more "congratulations". Feel free to accept them."
"Uzura!"
At the same time as Josei's shout, Uzura slammed both fists. As if in response, Ibara put on her gauntlets and spirits with weapons in their hands emerged from the hallways everywhere.
Yukito gulped. He didn't expect it to start so quickly. However, he remembered that they didn't come there to argue. They came to rescue Jingi by force, so he also made a seal.

ok I thought about this after I saw the trailer but UNTIL they explain it I headcanon that the Pokemon universe has advanced enough that any meat (maybe food-grade eggs even) is all lab-grown and humane, I mean good grief in the original games Bill LITERALLY TURNED HIMSELF INTO A POKEMON, said "oops my bad lol", and turned himself back no problem. also speaking of, the entire PC system. the technology is clearly There so I don't think anyone is eating a Pikachu, except maybe in the PLA era
Tumblr media
THE POKEMON MEAT QUESTION CONTINUES..... oh they ABSOLUTELY have lab grown meat too -- the proof is in Genesect, MewTwo, and Type:Null being FULLY GROWN LAB CREATURES (ditto too if we ascribe to that theory)
(I will continue to privately think that there is also a rich history of cultivating meat mushrooms. it lives in my head.)
OH gene would eat slowpoke tail at the very least, that and berries that grow on certain pokemon/alcremie etc. is totally fine to him since it doesn't hurt them AND it's very likely that many modern variants of Pokemon that produce harvestable food developed in a symbiotic evolution-y relationship with humans!! (like avocados and giant sloths, or most of our crop foods)
BUT BARRASKEWDA IS EATEN IN MODERN DAY.... APPARENTLY CONFIRMED
Tumblr media
I don't count the anime though, especially early anime -- the early anime said that people eat Farfetch'd with the leek it carries, but none of the game entries have confirmed that at all
so people are 100% confirmed to eat fish pokemon -- Sharpedo's Moon entry is similar
Tumblr media
several crab pokemon have claws that fall off and grow back on their own; it's similar to the berries Grass-types grow so that's fine
ALSO Chansey gives out eggs that are edible so that's not a problem, similar to MooMoo Milk
so weirdly enough, the ONLY confirmed pokemon that die to be eaten in-game are fish?? everything else has body parts or food materials that fall off/regrow/need to be farmed for their health; which makes sense if we consider the number of Fishermen in-game, but leaves us the question: WHERE DID THEY GET THE HAM AND SAUSAGE
