I'm convinced that the 9-1-1 writers never intended to make Buck & Eddie a thing, but they changed their minds very soon.

They probably wrote Eddie Diaz to be this macho guy who was gonna end up dating Buck's sister but instead he turned out to be the gayest character who only had heart eyes for Buck.

In the first episode, Eddie was supposed to be a threat to Buck but instead of two guys fighting to be the Alpha™, their gym confrontation turned out more like "you wanna fuck me so bad it makes you look stupid." And with the whole "you can have my back any day", we had Ryan & Oliver making heart eyes at each other and giggling and twirling their hair while saying this.

The writers tried not making them gay by making them call each other "brother", but that happened only two times : 1) Eddie's "you're a badass under pressure, brother" in 2×01 & Buck's "You know it, brother" in 2×10. After that, we never hear them say brother again. Because even that word couldn't tone down their flirtiness with each other.

When Chris was first introduced, he had interactions with the whole firefam, especially with Bobby and Chimney, even more than Buck. But in s3, the writers gave them the tsunami arc, thus sealing their bond of being a family. Since then, we see Chris only interacting with Buck in the 118.

Also when Eddie was shot, he was dating Ana, but we didn't even get to see her reaction or how she is comforting his son. Even the conversation of "what would've happened to Chris if Eddie actually died" took place with Buck, not Ana, who Eddie was literally dating.

When Buck was hit by the lightning there was no reason for the scene where Eddie tells Chim that he'll take over pumping Buck's heart. It is just a one second scene and Buck's heart was gonna start either way since he wasn't gonna be killed off, but still they made Eddie make the switch so that he can be the one to pump his heart back to life.

Bathena, Madney, Henren & DavidMichael all have scenes where one's life is threatened and the other is concerned/breaking down (Athena getting beat up, Bobby caught in a fire, Maddie in a hostage situation, Karen's lab getting blown up & David stuck in a hospital during a fire).

Buck and Eddie never get these scenes with their love interests. They only get it with each other (The shooting, tsunami, Eddie getting stuck underground).

At this point, the writers aren't even being subtle. They constantly put them in romantic tropes and parallel them with other main ships.

Bonus: They gave us Tarlos where one guy is Latino & the other is the son of the captain.

Marcus Pike: Marcus loves going to the movies, and he doesn't do it more often because he's too tired after work, horror movies aren't his first choice, but if you wanna watch it, he'll be there for you, he trusts your taste and maybe it will be a good movie. He'll always be touching you, arm over your shoulder, or hand resting on your thigh and he loves how close you are to him, he doesn't jump during the scary scenes because he's too busy staring at you to see if you are gonna jump and offer you his touch so you can calm down

Dave York: just like Joel, Dave used to love going to the movies when he was younger but he simply lost the habit over the years; when he was still with Carol, her idea of dates were always bars or restaurants that cost WAY MORE than movie tickets and popcorn, so it is a nice change for him to watch a movie with you. It reminds him of when he was younger and life was easier, he doesn't get scared at all, he knows that shit is all made up of latex, bad makeup and fake blood. Speaking of fake blood, it bothers Dave how highly inaccurate the death scenes are, people just don't die like that in real life, but he doesn't bring it up, he doesn't want to kill the mood

Javi Gutierrez: okay, if you wanna go to the movies with someone, this is the man you've been looking for!!! Let's start with the fact that if you want he will literally rent an entire movie theater for the two of you as I've already said many times here, but he doesn't mind if you wanna go to a regular session. Perhaps Javi G's favorite isn't horror but as someone who's passionate about the fine art of film™ like himself, he will give it a try, after all, one of the best movies of all time is a horror movie!!!! The Cabinet of Doctor Caligari!!!!!!!!!! So yeah, that man is attentive, he is quiet, he is focused on that screen and he barely blinks. I have a feeling he would even avoid eating and drinking during the movie because that would distract him. hello hello! I always picture dimple and reigen as like.. an old married couple™ even if they aren't exactly dating and this concept plays right into the bickering aspect in my mind so I absolutely loved this idea- hope you enjoy!

dimple starts off at a slight disadvantage because while you’ve heard other people talk about him you haven’t actually gotten to see/hear him for yourself to get used to how... brash... he can be. so when this random (admittedly very attractive) dude wanders into the office and starts trash talking reigen and his lack of clients and nobody else seems bothered you’re just like… who the fuck are you? it's not until somebody finally addresses him by name that you realize reigen isn't sassing a random ass client

dimple is also kinda banking on the fact that you don't know who he is though because it means he can start with a Fresh Slate and make a Good Impression. not that he's doing that by shouldering reigen out of the way or standing between the two of you every chance he gets, but y'know. it's… endearing? in its own sort of way? you could get used to it, at the very least.

reigen is mentally distracting whereas dimple is physically distracting. dimple will lean on your shoulder or over you or have a hand across your back basically the whole time because he’s got a body and he’s gonna use it, damn it. but if he stays like that for too long, reigen will pull you away by asking you to help with something or grab something from the other room or basically anything that will move you away from dimple without you realizing specifically that’s what’s happening

despite their best efforts, because they’re both just trying to counter each other rather than focusing on you, they end up balancing each other out so that you give them equal amounts of attention. dimple probably realizes this the fastest and changes tactics to be on your desk or otherwise in your space rather than touching you directly. basically the "I'm not touching you" vibe but smugly directed at reigen.

their facial expressions change so fast when they think you can't see them, especially reigen. he's really slathering on the charm with you but the second you turn your head he's glaring dimple to within an inch of his life. dimple usually just sticks out his tongue.

I can't decide if it would be funnier if you knew and were kinda in on the joke goading them on or if you were totally oblivious and all their efforts were basically going to waste. or maybe a happy medium of like- you realize something is going on but you're not gonna question it because you're just enjoying the attention.

eventually reigen realizes he has to up his game by also getting physically closer to you, but that's when it all starts to fall apart. either you finally realize what's going on or it just becomes too much to handle but you get VERY flustered and kinda pull back in panic and run off into another room to pretend to work on something else

you can immediately hear them arguing over whose fault it was and somehow the fact that they're right back to normal calms your nerves over the whole thing. when you finally come back out, reigen apologizes immediately for "not conducting himself properly in the office setting” and ekubo continues to insist that it's reigens fault but it doesn't stop him from also apologizing. they give you some space, but they don’t stop glaring at each other when they think you’re not looking.

they never really stop competing but it slowly shifts from trying to sabotage each other to trying to outdo each other, and that’s definitely a change you can live with when it means you constantly have fresh flowers on your desk and you get to share reigen’s home cooked lunches almost every day.

(dimple can’t possess the poor guy every day, so sometimes instead of a flower you’ll find notes that he writes out in advance, which you keep tucked safely in a drawer of your desk. if he catches you reading them while you don’t realize he’s around he takes every possible chance to gloat to reigen and tease you the next time he brings his host.)

He wouldn’t stop shaking. He couldn’t stop shaking. Here he was, scared shitless with you, you a few meters away. Ready to give him a tight hug or a let him cry in your lap. This was so insane he couldn’t wrap his mind around it. Hours ago you made the declaration of never tutoring or seeing him and although one of those he didn’t like … here you were. Wait. Why were you here? Why did you come to his trailer that late? And in your work uniform, which he noticed after sobbing his eyes out. The tight blue shirt with red sleeves hugging your chest and your black skinny jeans tight around your legs.

“Why were you there?” He questions quietly, lifting his head from your lap.

“Hm?” You mumble, looking up from the spot of the floor you were spacing out to.

“Why were you at my trailer?” He questioned again, sniffling and wiping his eyes so they were rid of tears.

“Oh uh- well I was coming to take back what I said. At lunch. I know we have our differences but everyone should be able to graduate, so I want to help tutor you” You give him a tight lipped smile, trying to be as nice as possible. You figured entertaining this conversation would keep him occupied but unfortunately you’ve used up a good amount of your nice points to comfort this man and you were starting to run out.

“Really? You’re gonna help me?” He says a little louder, sitting up straight. “No bullshitting?”

“Nope. None. I know you don’t wanna be in highschool anymore so of course I’ll help you. But that’s it, nothing else” You finish, crossing your arms and sitting back.

“Thank you, really it means a lot. Thank you.” He repeats himself, sitting back on the couch and crossing his feet, stretching his legs out.

“Are you feeling better?” You say softly, glancing over to him.

“A little” He mumbles weakly, picking at the skin of his fingernails. “Are you alright?”

“Yeah I’m fine, just trying to figure out how I’m gonna get back to my car and back home before my mom starts calling around Hawkins like she’s crazy” You exasperated, standing up and rubbing your temples, closing your eyes for a second.

“Didn’t you have a Date?” Eddie speaks up again. First of all .. that was out of nowhere and second of all, what lie can you possibly tell to get him off your back. You definitely weren’t going to tell him the thought of him invaded your entire head and made you bail on the date. So you decided you weren’t going to lie but instead, avoid the question.

“Eddie I really think we should go to the cops. We both can’t stay here-”

“I’m not going to the cops Y/N. They’re going to blame me and I don’t want that. You can go. No one saw you.” He cuts you off, turning away from you a little. Feeling not so relaxed when you brought the police up.

“I can’t leave, my car is there and honestly I don’t want to go back to it- I’m a very curious person and I will most likely go into your trailer to see what happened so no” You huff, sitting back down and looking to him. “We’ll both wait here till I think of something.”

And you both waited. It’s about 2am and unfortunately you couldn’t think of a damn thing. Before you knew it, Eddie passed out from exhaustion. He had been crying for hours on end so you understood. You shortly crashed after him, body too tired from the 8-hour shift you worked and brain too fogged from the horror story eddie told. You’ll have to deal with your frantic mother later. You’re starting to realize this whole things is going to affect you too.

“Wait lemme get this straight, Eddie had two girls over?” Dustin was very confused. Last he knew it Eddie had no game so for him to have Chrissy Cunningham over and someone else, something is totally wrong.

“No! She pulled up after Eddie got there I think. Like I dunno 10 minutes or so, she had one of the shirts the employee’s wear at the arcade” She adds, frowning when Dustin’s face lit up.

“Y/N! Wait- wait so if y/n was with Eddie- then she had to have gone back to get her car. Right!? Right so let’s go see if she knows where he is!” He rambles, grabbing his backpack and walking out his room.

“No! No her car is still there- she didn’t come back. She’s gotta be hiding with Eddie” following him out the room, she caught up to his side.

“Okay then that means we’re looking for two people how great-” He grumbles, thinking for a second and looking back to max with wide eyes. “Oh shit- oh shit oh shit shit shit” running out the house, dismissing his mom off, with a very confused and agitated max on his heels.

“What are you saying oh shit for?! Spit it out!!!” She yells, pulling dustin back by his backpack.

“If Eddie’s name is with the cops, so is y/n’s, her car is there! This is very bad, COME ON” He yells, running to his bike, max already taking off on her skateboard.

You were getting tired of sitting around. Eddie was still asleep when you woke up and you were getting nervous. This was getting you nowhere and you were now positive your mom was going crazy. How the hell were you going to explain this? What even is there to explain?! Eddie’s story might be true but come on, no one in this dumbass town is going to believe that. And how was this happening again? First it was Nancy Wheeler’s best friend, Bob Newman who sometimes came and fixed the cameras in the arcade. Your fellow peers, who weren’t really your peers but it was still odd seeing “Remember us” poster’s around and annoying ass Jason Carver giving speeches at every recent pep rally. The saddest one, well sad for you…was possibly Chief Jim Hopper.

You used to help him around the precinct, not to fight crime or any of that bullshit but to help Flo with answering phones and such … in return get free donuts and attendance notes to get out of school. Hopper was a great man, he took you in after the tragic passing of your dad. Cared for you when your mother was to overcome by grief. You would be lying if you said you didn’t cry when you heard the news. Something just wasn’t right with Hawkins and you couldn’t wait for the day you got out of there. Now you could possibly leave Hawkins pretty soon … in the not-so-alive way. God you have got to find a way out of this.

You were too distracted by your thoughts to notice a groggy Eddie waking up and stretching. He was not too happy about sleeping on this busted ass couch. Not that his mattress is any better, but at least his bed had the perfect firmness he needed. He was having all kinds of kinks in his back. He groaning and exaggerated stretches caught your attention.

“Morning Eddie” You greet, turning to him slightly. “Feeling better?

“No. My back hurts and I just watched a girl die right in front of me” He says flatly, sitting up a little and rubbing the sleep out of his eye.

“I think I should go find some help. I could go get Dustin- or Mike!” You start, trying to think of some kind of plan instead of sitting around.

“Mike is in California and I’m pretty sure Dustin wouldn’t care where I was because he just saw me. He probably doesn’t even think I’m missing!” He exclaims, stand up and starting to pace.

“They probably think I’m crazy…they’re gonna hate me- they’re gonna pin this on me because I’m the fucking ‘freak of hawkin’s high’ … Eddie Munson goes off the rails killing Sweet Innocent cheerleader due to dungeons and dragons” He mega rambles, panicking- pacing faster after every sentence. He didn’t catch you getting up and flinched a little when he felt you grab his shoulders from pacing and turn him to you.

“Hey, you need to keep it together okay? I can’t have you freaking out on me. You’re right, they probably don’t know you’re missing but that’s a good thing, the cops don’t give out information, aka, suspects for cases until they’re certain you’re the guy. I can leave your van and start walking till I get to my friend’s house- she lives not too far from here and I can ask her for some hel-" You were cut off when you heard the gravel outside the house crack. Soon enough you started hearing voices and doors closing and you grabbed Eddie’s hand in an instant.

You dragged both of you out the back of the house and into the boat house a few yard behind the house.

“Think your plan’ll work out now? Hm?!” Eddie whisper shouts, terrified yet again.

“Just fucking- hide!” You slap his arm. You both look around like dumb idiots until you looked to the boat in the middle of the room. “Oh fuck it” You grimaces, Eddie getting in first and then helping you as fast as he could, throwing the tarp back over to cover you. Woah, you both really didn’t think this through because Eddie is very close and he is damn near laying on top of you. Fucking shit.

“I just don’t get why you think they could be here, it’s pretty obvious..” Steve states, walking closer to the door of the shed.

“If it’s obvious Steve, why are we here and not the cops? Hm?” Dustin quips back, sass lacing his tone. “Yknow im sick of you doubting me, it’s disheartening” He adds, opening the door and walking in.

“Im not doubting you doofus, it’s just- sometimes it’s okay to admit you’re wrong.” Steve finishes, holding the door for Robin and Max.

“Can you two shutup and stop with the bickering, we’ve got a task to do here” Max groans, starting to walk around the place looking for clues.

Okay this is exactly what you needed. Dustin was here! Steve and robin and Max who you don’t really know but you’ll be glad to meet her! If Eddie would fucking let you take the tarp off. As soon you heard their voices you wanted to jump out and hug your fave little freshman. Before you could you felt a tight squeeze on your wrist and your eyes landed on Eddie who had a hand up, holding a broken bottle. You were squinting as if You were saying “what the hell are you gonna do with that?” Because cmon, what could they possibly do to you guys. Other than help you. What didn’t help his paranoia was the fact Steve decided to poke the boat’s tarp. You could heard Dustin and Steve bickering again, every second the oar hit closer and closer to you and Eddie.

It all happened so damn fast. Eddie was jumping out the boat, pining a shaken steve to the wall with the broken bottle to his throat. Everyone were panicking, first for the jumpscare Eddie totally caused and the frantic pleas for him to not cut Steve’s throat they’re here to help!

“Eddie, calm down! They’re here for us! Just calm down” You reason, struggling to get out of the boat until max came over and helped. “Just put the bottle down and let Steve go alright?”

“Listen to Y/N, We’re cool! I swear on my mother!” Dustin promises, holding his hand out at Eddie. “Right guys?” You all agree in unison.

Eddie was shaking, glancing around the room. He was so conflicted because yes these were all familiar people but he is fucking terrified and the only person he could trust right now is you. Like yes unfortunately but he was certain you weren’t out to get him because one, you were there and two, you believed him. So after looking at you one more time for some reassurance he pushed Steve away. You immediately went up to him, putting a hand on his shoulder while he slightly stumbled back, sitting on the wooden table in there, staring at a blank spot.

Dustin slowly walked up to him, bending in front of him and glancing up at you sympathetically, looking back to Eddie, reaching to put down the hand that was still holding the broken bottle, nodding his head when Eddie flinched. “Okay, okay, we just wanna talk- we wanna know what happened” He says softly.

“See Eddie? It’s fine” You keep the tone dustin had, finally getting the bottle out of his grasp and putting it down, bending slightly next to Dustin. “Tell them like you told me”

“They won’t believe me” He sniffles, shaking his head and looking at you for a second. A sad, broken hint to his eyes.

“Try us” Max says, raising a brow and fixing the strap on her shoulder.

Eddie tears his eyes from yours, looking up at her and nodding, explaining to them the horrific, unbelievable story.

And that’s part 2! I hope you guys enjoyed. I have a lot of dialogue and I love dialogue bc I get to make Dustin and Steve do their bickering (one of my fave duos). You’ll learn more about the reader soon and I’ll be doing more for Eddie x reader in the next chapter, rn the plot kinda matters bc I want this fic to make sense to you guys, I’m loosely following st4 but I just hope I’m doing it right lol idk. But I’ll be starting up part 3 soon. Byeee

and my hockey fandom is kinda...totally...one-hundred percent my husband's fault. i had never once seen a hockey game in my LIFE until i started dating my husband, who had played hockey for most of his life, and we went to an ahl game in our hometown. i don't totally remember that game, though? so you can see how memorable that date was. honestly, i almost forgot it happened until i was like—no wait, our first hockey game wasn't the rangers.

anyway, fast forward to my final weekend in college. and justin planned this new york extravaganza™. over three days, we went to: a rangers/islanders game at the garden, the nutcracker, and a giants game. it was an expensive weekend, anon.

so we went to that hockey game. i was (humble brag) interning at madison square garden at that time and i had never been to anything there when i wasn't working. so. that was fun. i googled hockey rules beforehand, did not understand icing, watched a fight, did not understand offsides, and somewhere, like, probably around the middle of the second period decided i loved this sport. and then, fast forward part two, to the 2012 playoffs, and chris kreider's call-up and i was like oh we're really gonna love this, like make it your whole personality love it.

and, uh, that's where we're at. one-time season ticket holders, going to a rangers game the day after we got married, writing over a million fan fic words, watching a rangers game on justin's phone at the grand floridian in disney because we had dinner reservations, but also there was a game happening. we got priorities, anon. it's all justin's fault.

Alright I’m gonna rant and it ended up being really long. I’m not looking for advice because there’s nothing to be done about these things, I just feel real weird about some stuff

For the first year and a half of grad school, I had a bestie but we had a falling out. It was over a trivial miscommunication between me and someone else, who I worked things out with and is still one of my closest friends. But the miscommunication affected her a little bit and I guess she just didn’t want to be close afterwards, which is valid but really sucks.

The semester after that, she got paired with a mutual friend for this semester-long project and they immediately became besties. Before this, it was me and her being super close and him being our closest mutual friend. When this project started, the two of them kind of stopped talking to me, which I wasn’t sure if that was on purpose or not because this class kicks everyone’s ass but looking back, it certainly feels like she took this opportunity to distance herself. I talked to her about how I felt like she was replacing me with him and of course nothing changed but she heard me out.

When her and our friend became besties, everyone assumed they were dating, which has always really bothered me because I assumed everyone thought that for Hetero Reasons™ like “oh a guy and a girl as besties? Must be secretly in love.” They did seem to fit well together but the falling out + me being annoyed at Hetero Things™ means I just didn’t acknowledge that and when I did acknowledge that, I was mad about it.

Last month, I bumped into her at a conference that I was speaking at/she was working at. I’ve been struggling with work because the last job I had, I was supposed to relocate for but the pandemic got really bad in that part of the world so that fell through. So I was at this conference to look for work and I’ve been in this industry twice as long as she has but at the conference, she told me she’s been working at a job for several months. And I know it’s shitty and not realistic to compare but I was just so upset that this person who doesn’t care about me and has been in the industry far less than I have, already has a stable job. So I had to do a lot of self reflection on that one and eventually came to terms with that and I’m now able to be happy for her and not compare. But it was really hard! Seeing her messed me up even not related to job stuff because we did the small talk thing and it was a little awkward. I figured that was because it had been awhile so I was like “oh we should get together when we’re back home” and she said yes but you could tell by her answer that she really doesn’t want that. It was the first time that it hit me that she just doesn’t want to be friends.

Flash forward to today, I just found out that they’re officially dating and everyone is really happy because they called it and the two of them are a good fit for each other. And yeah, I’m happy for them and genuinely wish them well, but I’m also bitter about it. I used to be really close with both of them but because of this trivial miscommunication that didn’t even happen with her directly, I had to hear their news from someone else. Also, the two of them are really well liked by all the other students and professors so as far as I know, I’m the only one who feels any kind of animosity towards them. I don’t think they’re bad people or anything like that but I feel like I’m the only one now who doesn’t fawn over them. And it’s awkward because two of the people I’m closest with now from grad school are still close with these two I think so I just don’t have my normal people to talk to about all of this. (Other than my bestie but she didn’t go to grad school with us so she mostly just knows of them, but hasn’t experienced how integral they are in that community.) Tbh I feel pretty neutral about our guy friend because whenever we have talked, our relationship hasn’t felt any different. I actually forgot to respond to his most recent message but I’m always the one instigating our convo anyway and I don’t know if I feel comfortable reaching out to him anymore knowing his partner doesn’t want to be my friend. I don’t want to cause unnecessary drama or draw unnecessary attention to myself. When I talked to my friend back in the day about feeling replaced, sure she listened to me but I also felt like I was being dramatic and I didn’t feel validated at all. It wasn’t my intension to be dramatic and I like to think I kept a cool head when we talked about things... I just really wanted my friend back.

It’s been like a year and a half now since I actively stopped messaging them when I think of them. I tried a few times since them to be like “hey, I hope you’re doing well” but they don’t respond most of the time. I would still love to be friends with them both because I really miss what we had but I’m not going to chase people down and force them to be my friend when they clearly don’t want to have a relationship with me. I’m not going to spend energy on people who don’t give a shit. I don’t think they wish me ill will or anything like that, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to kid myself into thinking we’ll ever be close again.

I think the most frustrating part is that whenever I vent about this stuff to anyone who isn’t my bestie (because she’s amazing), they all ask “are you/were you in love with her?” Like no I certainly wasn’t! I can get why they would ask because if I was watching this happen in a show, I’d totally ship us. But I’ve felt romantic feelings towards people before and this didn’t feel anything like that. And tbh, I haven’t felt romance towards someone in a really long time so I just find it really frustrating that everyone defaults to “you’re heartbroken over losing this person so it must have been romantic”. Friendships can be just as meaningful, if not more so, and I don’t like that this platonic relationship is being trivialized by assuming it had to have been something else; it implies that friendships aren’t worth grieving over. She was my first best friend I had in a really long time who actually lived in the same area as me and I’m upset that things are over. I would actually cry about all of this while it was going on. But now that I’ve moved on for the most part, I mostly feel... strong discomfort at how everyone else idolizes this person specifically. I get it, she has a very strong personality and she’s very social and easily likeable. BUT. Me and her were having several long, open conversations about the things that were bothering us at the time. Yet she chose to dump our friendship without actually telling me that she wanted to stop being friends, even while we were supposedly being open and honest with other. I had to fucking guess and I find it extremely uncomfortable that people think she’s so wonderful.

well, this season we had the introduction of Lucy. and, friend, I tell you, I've never seen a character be disliked so hard and fast.

she was promoted as the ~female~ Buck, which had us like???? she was supposed to be this experienced female firefighter and yet we saw her cry like a newbie over a successful save? anyways.

the kiss happened and it was kind of awful the way it was played, kind of predatory, a lot of uncomfortable. Buck, now a cheater, decided with the advice of Hen, also a cheater, to say nothing to his girlfriend... and not only that, he asked her to move in with him. and the fandom went nuts.

lots of people disliked Taylor and now we were rooting for her to bring out her boss babe side and rip him a new one. which... didn't happened.

and anyways. right after the first ep aired the articles started, with Lucy as the centre. they mostly talked about what her relationship with Buck was going to be. The actress said that we were going to see them interacting but ''was it flirting or was it poking?'' and we were going to discover it at the end of the season. the fandom reacted badly again bacause Buck still had a girlfriend, right? and even if we didn't like that girlfriend it didn't mean we would like to see him flirting with other girl? (well, there were people who liked the idea because I quote ''Buck and Lucy were ~~hot™~~~ together'' and that apparently was enough).

the articles about Lucy kept coming (mind you, when it was an important season to Maddie and Eddie), about her relationship with Buck, with the rest of the 118, with her family of cops.... the actress talked a lot about some ~important~ scenes Lucy had with Bobby, Eddie and Chim... and when I tell you people reacted /so/ badly to it that.......... most of her scenes were cut.

we never saw those interactions as she described them, never saw Lucy interact that much with Buck either. and it is /so/ funny to me you have no idea. the backlash they got was so bad everywhere that they decided to considerably cut her scenes.

and you're not gonna believe me but... the Lucy actress, she too started picking fights with the fans on Twitter, liked some nasty comments on instagram....

Definitely. Azul is the type of guy who fits the whole roses and fancy dinners aesthetic and somewhere along the line he realizes he's actually good at pulling romantic things off. He initially starts with it during the time you started dating because he wanted to play it safe and rely on what was typically considered romantic but he soon noticed it isn't something he has to force himself to do and comes rather naturally once he can put aside his initial nervousness.

Additionally I think Azul is a romantic as a state of mind. Once he feels comfortable enough around you and the realization settles in that the two of you love each other, he has a tendency to idealize your relationship a little (to a healthy level). He has a lot of rather deep and slightly poetic thoughts about your connection (doesn't mean he'd say them out loud though).

🧡 How do they confess that they like someone?

Oh geez this man probably suffers from chronic pining so if you're like, the least bit assertive when it comes to romance, you're gonna be the one who confesses first. In case it's indeed Azul confessing, I see multiple ways this could go:

At the end of a date: You asked him out so he's already somewhat aware that you feel the same, which makes it easier for him to make a move and just tell you once your date is over. Of course he thought very elaborately about what he would say to you when the time finally came. Doesn't stop him from being flustered though.

After ages of waiting he finally confessed: There's a certain amount of time after which even Azul gets sick of the pining, especially because the twins keep teasing him about it and the longer he waits the more they drop unsolicited hints that Azul likes you (cue Jade @-ing you under Azul's Magicam posts). So he plans the whole thing out and casually asks you for a date after class. He'd set up a nice dinner for the two of you at Mostro Lounge (when no other customers are around of course) and eventually confess his feelings to you. Despite his nervousness he keeps his suave businessman persona. Now you either got the option to roll with that or you could point it out and you'd get a flustered octopus who's secretly glad you can see through him and still love him for how he is.

Accidental: Now that accident can be many things. Azul just being dead tired and almost passing out on his desk. Seeing a magical item at the Atlantica Memorial Museum and asking "Why does this show you?" before he reads the 'depicts the person you love' sign right next to it. Or sometimes an accidental confession is just Floyd offhandedly mentioning "Koebi-chan, did you know that Azul has a huge crush on you?~" as revenge for the dorm leader making him do the dishes when Floyd didn't want to and Azul's poor unfortunate soul proceeding to internally die several deaths. Accidental confessions would definitely take this man out and stun him for a while as he anxiously tries to say anything to make the situation less awkward but he composes himself and melts as soon as you tell him you feel the same.

In a crisis: As much as Azul likes to be careful and calculated, he doesn't like to have regrets. So when you two are caught up in a fight together or like, uh, let's say a shady ass research facility in the middle of nowhere (nervous laughter), I could see him telling you how he feels fairly easily. He wants you to know in case something bad happens.

💛 Do they drop hints that they like someone and what are they?

It's more like that he constantly prompts you to drop hints. He uses every opportunity he can to steer your conversation to the topic of love and dating, of course in a way where you don't notice he's doing it on purpose, to see if you show any signs of being interested in him. Azul doesn't drop hints himself until he's fairly convinced you have feelings for him. If that's the case, he tends to make some ambiguous comments that can be interpreted as romantic but played off as a joke in case you react negatively.

💚 What's their type?

I have a lot of thoughts on this one and I feel like there's several characteristics that Azul is easily drawn to.

Confident and open but with a sad past: I feel like that would be a solid match for him. Azul strikes me as a person who's probably frequently dealing with the trauma-related kind of imposter syndrome where he constantly feels like he has to reaffirm his image and hide a "true self" (which is really just a bunch of insults about his past self which he has internalized to the point where his subconscious believes they still apply). So having someone around who's been through their fair share of hardships in life and has a genuine and healthy amount of self-confidence and especially self-acceptance as well as doesn't mind talking openly about their experiences and feelings would not only help Azul to strengthen the idea in his mind that he has indeed grown from the "dumb, clumsy octopus" people have tried to convince him he'd always be, but it would also help him to realize that opening up to other people and not hiding the parts of himself people have taught him aren't lovable does not equal vulnerability and weakness. And anyone who can inspire a bit of genuine self-acceptance in Azul is someone he'd want to keep around in his life and could probably love very easily.

Kindness: Azul isn't the kindest person himself but I think he will definitely respect and treasure genuine kindness. Probably not if you're naive on top of it or forgive everyone, but if he can tell you truly care about the people who deserve it and gladly make someone's day better, it'd be a very significant reason why he fell for you. Honestly, most people who have experienced a large amount of hatred and cruelty for a long amount of time won't take true kindness for granted and Azul is no exception.

Protective: This one's been a headcanon for a while. Might also have to do with his past but I can see Azul being into a protective s/o. The idea of having someone around who loves him and wouldn't hesitate to jump in and defend him would give him a well-appreciated sense of security and stability, even if your actual strength compared to his would be the equivalent of a chihuahua trying to protect Godzilla.

Rational: I feel like Azul definitely wants a partner who is rational. As in, they have a good amount of self-preservation instincts, their decisions are based on solid reason and they don't indulge things without being as informed about them as necessary.

💙 What is their perfect date?

While Azul does vibe with the whole fancy dinner date aesthetic, I feel like he'd really love movie dates. He canonically likes dark spaces and I think he'd really enjoy watching a movie which interests him with the person he loves, just sitting in a dark cinema, sharing snacks with you, leaning close to you and occasionally pulling you in for a loving kiss. After the movie he'd have a long elaborate conversation with you about the plot while you're snuggled close to him in his bed and he'd gently run his fingertips across your back.

Your love and affection. To be able to even give Azul gifts in the first place means you'll probably have to sign a contract somewhere that he won't be indebted to you if you give him gifts for free. That aside I don't think Azul is much of a friend of receiving surprise gifts in general, but he'll never say no to a new coin for his collection or a good book.

He'd give you the whole world wdym? Azul would probably give you the typical romantic gifts. Flowers, chocolate and accessories. Likely something from the Coral Sea.

Affection: Azul isn't used to physical affection and his relationship experience is most likely 0 so in the beginning of the relationship as he gets used to receiving affection he's definitely gonna blush quite a few times. Also I think Azul does want to get married one day. However when it comes to planning his future, Azul is probably one of the most flexible characters in the cast.

Be patient with him. Show him support and that he can lean on you, even if it might take him a while to actually take you up on the offer. Don't shy away from showing him that he's important to you and what you like about him. Make a move towards him. While Azul definitely understands being anxious and nervous about approaching someone you like, he'd be touched by seeing that he means enough to you for you to just be upfront about your feelings for him.

Not much different than usually. It's really hard to notice Azul has a crush if you don't happen to be Jade witnessing how his gaze lingers on you when he thinks no one's looking. The most that changes is that Azul spends more time around you and asks you more questions about yourself, which could also be interpreted as him just trying to be your friend or wanting to make a profit. So unless you specifically try to prompt some reactions from him, you probably won't notice.

It's not like Azul is scared of being in love. He's more scared of being rejected and ridiculed. If there's any member in the main cast who has been the unfortunate victim of a childhood crush pretending to like him "as a prank" and then proceed to make fun of him, it's Azul. He would love to deal with his crush on his own if it weren't for Jade giving him advice to tease him all the time.

Again, as long as you don't prompt him to get flustered, he's very calm and collected. He may be screaming on the inside but you won't notice any of it.

He didn't at first. He hates relying on something like luck or fate after all. But as time went on and you stayed together, the thought sometimes crosses his mind that maybe it was just meant to be. He still doesn't actively believe in the existence of soulmates though.

Oh hell no. Something serious would need to happen for Azul to just tell you he loves you if you never said it before. He's too scared of your reaction. Azul views his s/o as someone who goes through life with him. You build each other up whenever you need it and in an ideal case there's a lot of mutual support and emotional intimacy. For Azul the person he loves is where he can unwind after a tough day and someone who gives him comfort by just being around him, even if you both do different things.

I think he'd talk that out with you. For Azul to just fall out of love with someone there's probably a reason for why it happened and he sees no need to beat around the bush or pretend everything is fine.

Azul would do a lot for his s/o but you can't expect to win him over with fake tears and exaggerations. I feel like he'd be a little angry if you tried to do that. If you're genuinely upset and crying however, he definitely does what he can to make you feel better.

Azul's kisses are always full of emotion, even if it's just the small pecks he gives you in between classes. They're a silent reminder that he's grateful to have you in his life and that he loves you. He adores long and slow kisses though. He'd gently cup one of your cheeks with his hand and his thumb caresses your face as his tongue swirls around yours. Azul loves to take his sweet time when it comes to kissing you so at the end of the day he usually holds you close to him and spends some time just spoiling you with kisses. Everything. Okay seriously, I don't really see Azul as someone who cares much what his partner looks like. He seems like the type to only start noticing a bunch of details about you he finds beautiful the more he falls in love with you as a person. He loves so many things about you, from your personality to your behavior to the way you look, it's hard for him to just pinpoint a favorite part of you. He fell for you as a whole and often when you look into a mirror you'll find him standing next to you or wrapping his arms around you from behind, smiling to himself. He thinks you fit together and look good as a couple and he's so proud to have you by his side.

Not unless he knows a situation is too much for you. Usually he trusts that you can handle yourself. He's there to support you when you ask for his help but if he thinks you'll be fine he doesn't really interfere or try to protect you.

The most he'll do is send you to the infirmary even if you complain or check in with you during his breaks, bringing you tea and talking to you for a while. Azul has a business to run and classes to attend so that comes first even if you're sick. But as soon as he got his responsibilities out of the way, he takes the rest of the day to stay by your side and attend to your needs, making sure you feel a little better by the time you go to sleep.

Oh god, the angst 😭. He'd be so heartbroken. All that trust he built up? Gone. Losing you hits him so hard that it'll take him ages to let someone in again. He grieves for a long time and he'll struggle to keep working and carry on with his routine every day.

Azul is good with words so he knows the right things to say to make you feel a little better. He's also very observant and attentive so he knows what usually works to cheer you up. He gives you your favorite types of affection, cooks you your favorite food and spends time with you to distract you. If he's busy he lets you stay in the VIP room with him and lets you sit on his lap while he does his paperwork, occasionally pressing a kiss to your lips.

First and foremost of course actual danger to your wellbeing. That's a given. Aside from that I think Azul, much to his disliking, worries fast and struggles to move on with his day until he has confirmation that you're alright. He's very smart so he has a lot of interesting things to say. He also may pay more attention to his outfits when he has feelings for you and try to impress you with being well-dressed and having good manners.

Azul usually doesn't try to make you laugh, nor does he crack jokes very often. If you're laughing, it's usually about him getting flustered. Other than that the two of you tend to laugh together about the things that happen around you; the shenanigans of other students, funny things the teachers say in class or a funny post you found on Magicam. Azul only actively tries to make you laugh if you need some cheering up. In that case he's capable of some snarky comments about the teachers or people you don't like.

Before you know about his feelings for you, Azul uses Valentine's Day as a tool to get closer to you. An excuse to have conversations about love with you, to "accidentally" get matched with you for some Valentine's Day traditions and to be a little romantic with you without it coming off as weird. That aside, as stated before, I headcanon Azul as a romantic so I think he'll keep up celebrating Valentine's Day with you even after you get together. It's an excuse for him to spend a little extra time with you and spoil you more.

Azul and you definitely attend each other's birthday parties at NRC but you always make a point to spend some quality time together afterwards. He lets you pick what you want to do for your birthday and usually goes along with it. After the guests have left he definitely wants some alone time with you, which usually involves sharing dinner and taking a nice walk together and making out with him

🎀 Are they likely to fall for someone first or is it the other way around?

Really depends on how fast you fall for people and how well you get along with him from the get go. If you get to know him and you're nice and open to him right from the start I don't think it'll take him very long to fall for you. He's not a love at first sight person but he can fall for someone in a matter of a few weeks if you just fit together very well. It's trusting you and actually opening up to you about his feelings that he struggles with and could potentially take ages.

💌 Do they send loving/cutesy texts to their s/o?

He definitely makes a point to let you know he misses you and loves you and occasionally texts you a compliment when you're not around. You won't go long periods of time without being reassured that Azul's thinking of you when you're away.

In an ideal case Azul does not care because you won't need him to be a good influence on you. He'd only try to do that if he sees you repeatedly making terrible life decisions or failing to take care of your responsibilities.

Now I know I'm probably in the minority when I say I can't really picture Azul calling his s/o "angelfish", but I think most of the time he'd just call you by your name or a short version for it, because he has grown to love your name and he likes the way it sounds when he says it. You weren’t exactly dating but y’know drinking can lead to all sorts of things.

Even though you’re scared shitless, you’re kind of glad it’s JJ that knocked you up in the end.

i think that it would have been so fun if certain companions from previous worlds followed us into arc 3. like i think it would have been fun to see ivan the great just punt medulla into the sun. plus! ship crews IRL generally are bigger than 3-4 people! like i love, pork, beans, and sparck, and i know we don’t want to overcrowd things with Too Many Characters Going On At Once because then individuals wouldn’t really get to shine, but it could have been so fun you guys. plus maybe we would have gotten some more insight/development on our old friends from other worlds. 

this post is gonna get long so buckle up

maybe they wouldn’t have such a major role because they already had one in their original worlds/storylines, and maybe i’m way too attached to our old companions, but we didn’t throw katara away when aang started learning earthbending in ATLA, you know? she stayed with the group and grew with everyone else. of course, wizard101 is a game, not a tv show, things are obviously different and of course there are shows where the protagonist Does move on with other people and new friends, but in pirate101 your companions stay with you as you go from world to world. though maybe it’s a different case there because the companions are also like, an incredibly important part of p101′s mechanics whereas the wizard101 ones just buff you in fights. in the pokemon anime, ash (the protagonist) Does move onto new regions like how the young wizard (protagonist) moves on to new worlds, but even then on occasion sometimes his old friends will roll back around.

some companions do have actual reason to stay back in their worlds of origin, dyvim has his deal with the king or whatever (iirc?) but this all rolls back to the point that plenty of other people in the fandom have made about all of the wizard’s friends either eventually leaving them or having to be left behind.

on top of this, you would think mellori and bat, who, yknow, channeled their ~*vibes*~ or whatever to help the wizard become the divine paradox at the end of arc 3, would have a part in arc 4 as well, at least a little, what with the whole Evil Paradox(tm) that we see. like. you don’t just bring characters with that important of a role into the game and never mention them again, right? i know arc 4 isn’t over yet but considering how KI is terrified of another malistaire situation im really not expecting to see too too much of them? though i’m hoping i’ll be proven wrong.

i’m not up to date on karamelle and lemuria bc my membership has died so i dont know what goes on with any companions from there. but like. pork is a skyship captain! he could help us Go To Other Worlds In The Spiral because of the whole world key situation (see dragonspyre and khrysalis, where theres like only one or two world keys to dragonspyre and a new one has to be forged for khrysalis). alternatively he could happen to Show Up in the places we visit on occasion and we could have a neat little reunion. like if zeke and eloise can be everywhere im sure we could have a reunion with the empyrea folks or other polaris or mirage characters at least once. like the visits with dyvim and zoot in the arc 4 prequest(?) were a step in the right direction but also were fairly brief. 

also tell us what happened to rat and scorpion. are they just sitting there in the shadow realm waiting for spider to come back with the milk. like. they went there and then spider decided the universe wasn’t gonna game end after all and is hopefully going to couples therapy with raven in the primordial forest. like rat and scorpion arent even companions but you’d think spider’s other children would get some form of closure to their stories-

-actually no, you wouldn’t think because we don’t even really say goodbye to bat at the end of arc 3. (iirc) like where the fuck is that guy. i do hope we didn’t just leave him in the husk? like he wouldn’t just stay there after being told he’s spider’s most favoritest boy right. because he has a life and has built relationships with people Outside Of The Shadow Realm and doing things for spider! does he go back to building machines and start to help fix the messes made in empyrea, does he start traveling, or chilling at the arcanum, or what? to my knowledge, we have no clue! we take down the storm titan, spider tells bat he loves him, that’s it. mellori comes back with us to the arcanum, but we don’t even really know if she continues studying at ravenwood or not.

there’s honestly so many loose ends with certain characters in this game that aren’t really tied up. i guess it leaves room for fans to create their own interpretations to fill in the holes themselves and who knows, maybe they Are better about this in arc 4 (again i wouldn’t know because i haven’t played, never finished karamelle) but frankly kingsisle is such a mess in SO many aspects that it wouldn’t surprise me if they werent. 

i still have no idea how old morganthe and by extension her teachers are supposed to be and how time works in the spiral. at this point you could say she did time travel to fuck things up in celestia and zafaria and it would probably still make more sense in the story than the messiness of arc 2. i look at arc 2 and then i am Looking Away. 

of course there’s definitely a balance to be found between characters being brought up so much it might get boring instead of letting the character rest with a natural end to their story (malistaire) and delving deeper into the rippling effects their character’s story might’ve had on the protagonist and other characters and then on the flip side Never Having Characters Who Were Important To The Story Brought Up Again Ever (bat) but it’s absolutely possible. of course it’s not the case that there’s No Recurring Characters Ever in wizard101, we’d see ambrose all the time because he was a big deal and obviously we’d have to go back to our teachers for spells and quests every so often, but some of the professors are also a little flat (though that’s a discussion for a other post) and they also don’t Actively Travel With Us. 

i wouldn’t want a favorite character of mine to be brought back and then absolutely be done dirty in terms of writing and story and having all of their development from their original world set back to square one. you wouldn’t take sokka from ATLA and suddenly make him sexist and annoying again at the end of the series like he was earlier on, because he’s grown and developed past that! that’s why he’s a fan favorite! (to my knowledge. i don’t partake in the ATLA fandom and it’s been several years since i watched the show in full so i'm running off of memory here) i also wouldn’t want them to be flat and boring if they don’t grow and develop past how they were before in the story. i know all of this would likely be difficult to show at times because we play as the wizard and only really see their perspective exclusively, but certainly not impossible. 

though i suppose there’s a lot of angles to consider here, like how some of the people who spend the most money on the game likely don’t care for the story much at all and where the characters go and what they do, i’m sure we’re all familiar with the stereotypical mean storm wizard that bullies you in waterworks or darkmoor for not having Top Of The Line pack and bundle gear or gear from insanely hard dungeons or spells that can only be obtained through pack or mob drops (all of which require insane amounts of luck and either money or grinding). and then there’s the fact that some older voice actors might not even be Available anymore due to layoffs or whatever.

i’m only really writing this because i really miss the arc 3 characters a lot and even ones from late arc 2 and it makes me sad that KI is doing a full 180 and has decided No. They Shall Never Come Back Ever after the ordeal with malistaire. also for further context i���m not complaining about all this because i hate the game and think it’s the worst thing ive ever played, because i don’t, it’s been one of my biggest interests for a really long time. like it matters a Lot to me otherwise i wouldn’t have this blog, yknow? and for what it’s worth i did like pieces of arc 2 and the ending of darkmoor was pretty sweet. there’s definitely more eloquent ways i could have worded a lot of this. but my point is and has been that it’s possible to bring back an old friend every once in a while and have them play a part without it just being like Ah, This Fucker Again for money purposes. of course then we have to think of more natural ways to have a character return too, but that’s the case for even bringing a new character into the story. 

of course all of these negatives can be turned into positives when it comes to fan content because we can take all of it and be like “mine now. here’s what happened to XYZ” because there Is room left open with the vague spots and loose ends to tie things up ourselves. but some things are So Big and messy that sometimes they have to be Entirely Rewritten. there’s a lot of reasons why things would or wouldn’t work in terms of his game but i suppose it’s all just food for our own thought because we know kingsisle themselves is just gonna do what they’re gonna do. 

idk i have a lot of complicated feelings on this matter and i’m sick of writing this it’s been a few hours since i started, maybe all of this is just based off the fact that i Very Much So Have Favorite Characters And Miss Them A Lot. but yeah.

Ok, no because the above was all bubly I didnt wanted to spoil it's vibes, yes !! You got her name correct !! but yesterday was the worst !! There were two seats on the both side of me empty, and she did not come and sit next to me :( I messed up the first half of the class sulking over that, and then my anxiety worked up in the second half, because if reason I tell you, you'd think im probably a psychopath or overdramatic or still hung up over my ex-crush but what happened is that a tution friend of mine was sitting at a diagonal from me, and he looked exactly !! EXACTLY, like a guy from school I had a crush on and it was so scary, I legit myself thought for a moment that im going crazy it was THAT insane !! Anyway, I was →← this close to self harming at that time because if I wouldnt,I would've legit screamed or cried in the class.

Ok, that sounds overdramatic, but I genuinely have like a lot of trauma because what basically happened is that just because we sat next to each other for two day, everyone in school started the rumours that we are dating. I didnt even had a crush on him that time, and then he started ignoring me, we were good friends, and then we didnt talked for a year, next grade we again became friends when the rumours subsided, note that its started when I was in 4th grade, and now we're in 5th, so we became friends again and they strated teasing us again, but this time instead of ignoring me, he started blaming me that I spread this rumours ??! But nvm because i thought he spread those rumours too so it was vice-versa.

What was worse was when in a skt class, our teaher asked a student to make a sentence with garden, and he (lil piece of shit, always teases me, but still like a bro to me, ughh idk why I hang with ppl like these) he said ''my name' and 'my ex-crushe's' name are sitting in a garden together' and mam !! That freaking sanskrit mam !! Who freaking knows whats going on !! Knows that he is teasing me !! Write THAT freaking sentence on the freaking board !!!! Thank god that our classes were divided at that time and 'ex-crush' went to some other class. But that was on the freaking board for anyone to read. And its only starting !! What happened next was mam didnt erased it before leaving the class, with some cursed twist of fate, the said ex-crush came just before I could go and erase what was written, he reads it and istg I would've legit died there of embaresment. And teh guy who told mam to write that, he and his gang™ come and corner me, and like all of them are friend to me, but they corner me and they start screaming that ohh look someone got a lil crush, look who is head over heals in love. And im having the 'sliding down the wall crying moment'™ because its all too noicy !!

And then our Maths mam comes and shoo's all of them away, takes me out of the class and asks me what happened. Now she is a friendly and all mam and I was her fav student so ofc she is concerned. And I tell her what they said about me and some random person dating and its all lies and THAT FREAKING TEACHER !! She gave me this 🌝← look and said,' well, are u sure ur not dating him ?'

And lemme tell you, If I wasnt so frustrated already, I would've known that's he was kidding, but me being me, started fucking crying and I told her I don't want to attend her class, im going to the medbay and im just gonna sit there and die (I said that, no kidding) and she even let me, I was surprised, but gratefull and spent that period in medbay while the teacher scholded the rest of the class for bullying me. She even complained to the class teacher and the next day, the bullies got another scolding, which was embarrassing for me because ethey were my friends, but meh.

This is one (1) of the many bad insidences which happened due to that rumour, and the other are worse, so when I saw that other dude in tution. Looking like my ex-crush, who I also havent seen of or think about for the past two years, I lost it. I think the girl sitting next to me saw me punching my bag but didnt said anything, as for maya, she never cared 😔

And van never dismisses Anne’s feelings but he’s never quite 100% on if amphibia was real or fake or what until he meets human sized talking frogs or sees the videos Anne took in amphibia then he believes her even more and tries to comfort her even more. like he just wants to take care of her but also support her in all that she does lmao

So Van has 2 moms and 2 sisters. He’s the middle child lmao

my idea is that both the sisters are super super girly. i mean regina george lookin.

the eldest looked up how to do emo/scene/goth make up looks to help van learn how to do his make up

The sisters will sit on the couch with van in the middle, and watch him play a video game

the youngest: “can’t you make friends with them?”

“no, they’re the enemy.”

“yeah, but like, you’re killing them! can’t you-”

“Not how the game works.”

“Well it should be”

“Then you should make a game.”

“maybe i will.”

And now the youngest wants to become a video game designer simply to make a game where you’re supposed to befriend enemies instead of kill them

the eldest just sat there, looking up secrets about the video game so they could make fun of things that van missed.

Both moms are also very ‘normal’ and they’re both lipstick lesbians lmao

and they both just smile and pat van’s head and hand him a new black skull shirt

Hi, sorry, this is going to be long (sorry in advance) but i really need to talk to somenone :( I have an important question, I like to read fics and imagine myself in the marvel world or in a relationship with Tom, but I've read that this can be a problem called dissociation. I've read that it's dangerous and that it can become an obsession. For me it was always a defense mechanism, nothing that happened inside my mind was as bad as in my real life+(1)

(2) but now I am afraid of "entering those worlds" because I don't want to lose myself. It's not an addiction, I don't think I'm really dating Tom Holland hahaha, but they really made me happy, but after everything I've read, I'm just afraid of dissociating, can you help me? please? give me any advice? I needed to talk to someone, my family doesn't know bout this.

hey! :) this is a totally valid and common question/feeling (that, at times, i’ve felt myself)! and the fact that you’re worried about this shows that you are aware and conscious of what you consume; so you’re already in a thoughtful and reflective place!! –– media that we watch, read, and create on our best days, are meant to bring us joy and provide a ‘break’ from reality. it is a PART of our lives, but not our WHOLE life. i think that’s a distinction that we gotta hold on to.

i’m gonna list some major reminders/thoughts below! 😇

it’s okay to escape into fiction, fantasy and day dreams. there’s nothing wrong with reading fanfiction, or re-watching the same shows/movies a million times. it’s okay to seek comfort in things where you know you will be “rewarded” ; through warm storylines, happy endings, or as a way to safely navigate uncertain experiences from a safe distance. you want to be happy, so in your free time, it’s good to seek out happiness! don’t feel shame for it. 😇

but be sure to remind yourself this is just a PART of your reality, NOT your reality. and, like you said before lol, you don’t expect to date “x”-celebrity, but it’s safe and fun to read about it. just don’t spend every waking hour of your week, or month or year, obsessing over (1) thing. let yourself be excited about “x”, but be sure to enrich yourself in other ways too! nurture yourself and your life too!! Y/N can’t be the only one making moves! 💛

if you start feeling ‘bad’ about the things you read/watch, step away.  cos of course, if you find yourself fixating an unhealthy amount –– (i.e. sending aggressive messages, spontaneously crying over “x”-celebrity/character, anxiety over things that are happening in their real life, or the inability to focus) step away! it’s ok, boo. we all can fall in a lil to deep or get our feelings hurt over fictional things––– it happens. you just need to be able to recognize when you have to turn your phone/laptop off and find something else to do. sometimes you can walk away for a day or week, until you can come back or find something totally new. it’s okay! put yourself and your mental health first. fiction & media will always be here for you, don’t lose yourself or your time feeling bad about yourself because of it.

don’t forget to enjoy a variety of things! –– try reading new media! whether that means new fanfiction or books. watch new shows, catch up on current events (that are like, joyful lol), watch youtube videos... etc! take a walk, find a new form of self expression~ just spend some time outside of fandoms / singular media every once in a while. fresh air will always do you good! i find that monotony, even if it’s safe and makes me happy–– makes me tired and almost irritable lol. just enrich yourself and consistently look for new things that make you happy 🌈

Alright so, I wanna make a bigger stand-alone post out of this idea.

Hear me out:

September 15th, 2016 (original timeline)

Schneep's creation. September 15th, 2016.

October 31st, 2016 (original timeline)

SAY GOODBYE. In the original timeline, Schneeplestein "stitched together" Jack and Anti, saving Jack's life.

August 3rd, 2017 (original timeline)

KILL JACKSEPTICEYE. Schneep loses the battle against Anti, permanently breaking time and sending us all to a new timeline where Schneeplestein never existed in the first place.

—NEW TIMELINES START: ALTERNATES A & B—

September 15th, 2016 (alternate A)

Schneeplestein was never created. Time passes normally.

October 31st, 2016 (A)

SAY GOODBYE in the alternate timeline. Anti is victorious over Jack this time, without the doctor's help to stay alive.

PAX Panel, March, 2017 (A)

ALWAYS WATCHING, triggered by the alternate timeline. Jack manages to stay alive on his own somehow, but it takes him much longer to come back without Schneeplestein's help, and he loses his memory of the event (Detention series).

August 3rd, 2017 (A)

No buildup to KJSE happens. KJSE doesn't happen. Time passes normally with the absence of Schneeplestein.

January 5th, 2018 (A)

Begin creation of "Dr. Jacksepticeye" in Schneep's absence– the idea for a doctor character that now never was. He takes on some traits of Henrik, but is also his opposite.

October 19th, 2019 (alternate B/void)

This is the timeline our original-timeline Schneeplestein was sent to after the events of KJSE (original). For lack of better terminology, this timeline will be known as The Void™. We don't know the exact date Henrik managed to travel backwards from, but for now, let's say it was October 19th, 2019, since that's when we saw him leave.

May 4th, 2018 (alternate A)

Henrik's arrival day in 2018, more than a year prior to when he left. He arrives in the timeline to find that a character has been created in his place, and the two of them meet for the first time. This creates a paradox, and what we know as "Mayhem" follows. Jack falls comatose (maybe due to the paradox, since Dr. JSE wasn't a full character of his own yet), and Chase presumably takes his place recording.

May 8th, 2018 (A)

Jack remembers the events of SAY GOODBYE (alternate). Whether or not he remains in a comatose state is unknown.

*big sigh*

Okay, so… I'm not adding every ego and every video to this right now since it took me enough mental acrobatics just to get this set down, but… does it make sense? I think it does. Yeah?

So like– this means that what we see? Could be from any ONE of these timelines. Sh*t doesn't have to be in chronological order or make any sense to us right now. It's like trying to put together a four-dimensional puzzle with only some of the pieces– we can't do it, not yet.

TLDR: Time is broken, big time.
