ok. i've never really mentioned this somewhere and i will try to get screenshots as soon as i can to tell you that i am not bullshitting this but.
when the tss patreon first became a thing i was. so excited. mostly because i thought that the idea of a writer's room would be fun (Oh how wrong I was..) and being able to contribute to faster higher quality content (LMAO!!!!!!!!) but also because of the janus t-shirt. i wanted that goddamn t-shirt so bad.
so i did it! became a patreon for about.. a year? i think? roman level due to me wanting that t-shirt which is. actually just a little ugly (i've never really thought the merch design was actually nice looking though, ppl just want their smth of their fave side which is fair enough, ykno? christmas sweaters are kind of ok tho) BUT ANYWAYS janus is my fave and i wanted smth and i thought: "hey! cool! i can support my fave creator, get extra content (again lmao) AND get smth of my fave side??? DEAL 🤝
months pass
got the message that i was one of the first people to sign up and that i would be getting the t-shirt! GREAT 😃👍
got a forum to sign with my size, adress, name and whatever else and yay janus merch very soon!
right?
see ppl starting to get their t-shirts and i hadn't yet but that's fair cause i live in a completely different country and a completely different continent even.
2 months pass by
i thought at least that i would be getting the shipping information by now but.. nothing. so i go and message the patreon, and VERY nicely may i add, asking them if it's gotten shipped yet. get a message back from them that was basically them sending me an e-mail and for me to message them instead because they were the ones with the actual merch..
huh that's kind of weird.. couldn't you do that?
whatever. i send a mail to the email i was given and got the response that the tss crew are the ones who are supposed to be doing that. message their patreon again and they give me the e-mail again. i go back and do the same thing. get the same response from that e-mail again. go back to their patreon and... no reply? huh.
this thing goes on for month.
in the end i came out of the whole ordeal with no poster or stickers i was promised, no janus merch and basically no extra content.
and i lost around $320.
i never raised a fuss, i still supported him and his crew and in the end i was the only one who lost.
my respect for him and his crew got so much lower after that but still i watch his content, still i love his characters (or at least what they used to be), never have i mentioned this cause i don't want to sound like someone having a tantrum over a goddamn t-shirt and also cause his fanbase would probably kill me if i told them that their precious tommy and his crew fucked me over.
but i am so tired of this shit and seeing his fanbase complain about ppl being critical of that patreon and him + his crew is driving me MAD!!!!!

Oh wow that’s shitty. I looked it up just to see how much the roman tier is now and it’s the second most expensive one at $50 currently. Not sure if it was then but that’s a lot if money per month.
Most egregous is not sending you that shirt. Maybe there was an issue with shipping since you’re in a different country but you should’ve been told there were issues instead of being sent around in circles.
I am going to take this with a grain of salt though as there are no screenshots and I don’t want to just take it as fact. But yeah, shitty situation and like usual it all goes back to Thomas and co needing to be more transparent especially to people directly paying them.

ough so i wrote up a long winded thing about how i felt
but honestly my friend Rex tweeted this last night and it says what i said in a bajillion words in a single tweet
also this one but not so much a complaint on my part but i do funnily agree lol
but anyways to also chop of some of my own long winded shit i said
i dont HATE p5, i HATE p2, i just dont CARE for p5 very much. it has some stuff i enjoy but as a whole i think its really lack luster
to preference a lot of this to, i think its mostly personal taste! i guess i get why p5 is so popular and why ppl enjoy it but its really not for me.
but like along with all the other stuff said
i think giorno is the most boring protag of all of jojos so far to me. i think he is such a nothing guy. i can SEE some traits of character going on, but in the end he doesnt do shit and i dont find the appeal of him. i think some ppl do a great job taking what vauge character he has and really bringing it out to make him more interesting, but hes just. weh
i think he was MORE fun and interesting at the start of the series during his lil black sabbath fight, and his altercation with bruno and his robbing koichi. But after joining Brunos group he just kinda fades away and becomes an accessory to the group and the last interesting thing he does is let that guy on the boat slurp him up so Abbacchio could do his thing. He's kinda like a guy who has a cool ability and can do cool stuff, then he joined a group of close knit friends that all had fun powers and who dont all give a shit about his stand beside, wow! now we can throw ourselves at danger hard and faster knowing you can fix us when he eat shit, SWAG. like, giornos like a pursedog with hotglue and bandaids for everyone.
idk just, good on ppl who enjoy giorno, he needs the fans. but i think hes so boring and all his fights are boring and he has less personality than p3 jotaro
BUT, opposite to that
i love Bruno and Trish the most, they were solid characters and their relationship was sweet and good and SAD. Also Trish and Spice Girl had my favorite fight in the whole part. i love her stands that doubles as a girlfriend.
then i also like Mista and Narancia, the two of them vary on how much character they have Rancho have a bit more character personality than Mista. But their FUN characters, their fights are fun and i like some silly guys. But man.. Narancia death just felt mean... like Abbachios death felt like absolutely nothing (except sdgjksh NArANCIA CRYINGABOUT IT WAS THE SADDEST PART OF HIS DEATH TO ME) and Brunos was sad because i liked him and his connections to others and his slow awaiting death to the world while everyone has to watch is sad, but narancia just felt mean like just killed him to take a gut shot one last time before they wrap up the plot. idk if i feel this way because i liked narancia or whatever.
Then i dont really care about the rest, like giono abbachio and fugo i just can find any ability to really have interest in, sorry
and then i think REALLY one of the actual worst things is
they talk SO much
about fucking nothing
for FULL EPISODES
its like 5 minutes of time at MOST moves on in the span of an episode because their just TALKING fOREVER. it felt like they were trying to explain stands and abilities and moves they were going to throw LONGER than the attacks themselves last, for like 20 minutes then the fucking episode ends that part should not have been 40 episodes long that was insane, they need to shut the fuck UP

if im real, im?? a lil disappointed in GER. Like its ugly still, and its ability is cool, i think actually im just disappointed in its fight with Diavolo. its
neat, but it just
the whole part at that point REALLY just felt like araki wanted to be done with it. it felt like he didnt want to be writing it anymore and just wanted to be done
idk! again i think a lot of this probably is personal opinion. i just think ESPECIALYL coming off of p4 which i think its the BEST part that really used its story and plot and characters well and just did a lot of stuff i think p5 lacked and leaving p4 which i really loved into p5 really made it harder to watch.. miss my friends in morioh....

i think they have 1 spoiled as hell cat and my only supporting reason for it is haruka falling in the fountain. listen if ur gonna introduce a character thru "he fell in the fountain bc he was so determined to pet a cat" i am GONNA give him a cat.
i think harukas dreams in life are 1. not die 2. have cat and when she's settled in with takane post str hes like moaning and sobbing about how much he loves cats and takanes like then lets get one lol we can afford it and harukas brain rewires like Holy shit i am an adult with my own place I CAN GET A CAT???? and its Awesome
i think. cat is subject to his paintings for a long time. i think their place has paintings of the cat bc haruka keeps painting it. i think thatd be funny. i also think hiyori visits a lot to see the cat and also bc she and haruka have a sibling thing going on (both feel responsible for konoha being gone sry i got so many feelings abt this)
as for takane i thought maybe she'd be like Dads and the pet they said they didnt want but no wayyyyy like shes ene... they fucking love that thang. takane and cat having same personality and harukas like Wow when one hisses at me i can just go cuddle with the other this is awesome

Just saw a post of one of my friend’s mom about father’s day and how mothers are always celebrated and OVERestimated but dads are underrated and not appreciated even though they’re the “strength and foundation “ of the fam 😔 and then she added lovely pics of her ugly husband and im like wow would he do the same for you????? Would he!??? I dont think so. I do agree motherhood is overrated and women are always forced to be mothers and society thinks that our only purpose on this life but like… thats not estimating us in fact thats dehumanizing like… im not just a baby machine. but i do agree fathers should get more responsibilities. i had too much to say to fit into a reply so i'm sending a quick ask in response to ur vtuber/genshin design hate post!
i agree both that the genshin & vtuber designs i've seen are really interesting, and that they're very same-y and the overdetailing can start to blur out into nothing. i think it's a fine line that's very easy to fall over & i think some vtuber designs DO fall into the "this is nothing" territory, which i think is where the insulting of vtubers is born from. but a lot of vtubers have rlly interesting designs that the artist obviously put a ton of care and attention into & ppl who think all vtubers are overdrawn skinny anime girls aren't looking very deeply. i definitely think it sucks that all the mainstream vtubers are overdrawn skinny anime girls, but i don't think it's as hard to find interesting designs as people make it out to be. i've found plenty of interesting vtubers completely by accident.
this is my third time writing out an answer my app crashed twice while writing it 😭😭😭
anyway yeah i think people who are generalizing vtuber designs don't know much about them beyond what they've seen from the most mainstream ones. i'm not big into vtubers or anything but i watch stuff from them that happens to be in my recs and i've seen a variety of diverse designs that way, it's not hard to find them, they literally came to Me based on the algorithm lol. i also dislike how a lot of people seem to not consider the amount of skill and work that goes into making a vtuber rig, especially a fluid and expressive one. like i said im not big into them or anything but i do like looking at rig showcases just because i think they're so freaking cool. an expressive rig is a really impressive thing to me, so even with designs where i think it looks too busy or maybe clashes i can still appreciate how it moves and whatnot.
on the genshin front i will be the first to admit that they aren't at all diverse when it comes to body type (they have five body models stretched across 54 characters LMAO) and there's not much diversity with their faces but that's a problem inherit to the anime style in general and isn't exclusive to genshin. on top of everyone being pale as fuck lmao. it's a problem me and a lot of other players have always had with the game. but that doesn't mean the designs are inherently ugly based on that fact alone, which i see some people insisting. in general i love the designs in genshin, they're detailed but not so detailed that they're an eyesore, and they tend to have nice colors. that doesn't mean there aren't designs in the game that i dislike, in fact there's a character coming soon that i've always thought looked very over complicated and has kind of a wack color palette (although a lot of people are excited for him so taste in design is subjective like that!). in general i've always admired genshins outfit design because it's attention to detail, i struggle when designing my own characters because i have no idea what to dress them in, and their outfits end up being bland and lacking much personality. so when i see genshin outfits i'm usually like wow that looks cool as fuck. and honestly even if they Are overdetailed i don't think that makes them look bad by default. especially since you notice it much less when you're actually playing the character in the game rather than just looking at pictures of them
