the entire season they've shown sylvie perpetually being okay to just walk away from the fray and getting no consequences whatsoever. which would be ok since she doesn't rlly care about them like loki does. but in the end she just moves on so fast after she watched loki isolate himself and go off JUST to fix her mistake.......

LOKI – :Winter Lokius: Procreate on iPad Pro

BWAH okay so initially this was supposed to be, like, one of a set of images I planned to do at Christmas for Holiday Husbands and I just got REALLY lazy ugh. ANYWAY, I got REALLY into the Loki series when it aired season 2, mainly because it was SO much better than the first and my fave ship on the show got primary focus, so, like... YES.

Anyway, I wanted to draw Loki and Mobius in winter stuff, and yeah, here we are. I love them, your honour. Best and healthiest MCU ship, honestly. I just REALLY wish they followed through with it. It WAS canonized, but SOS subtly that the mainstream audience didn't catch it. I just hope the MCU doesn't do something stupid and make Mobius some all-powerful thing and just ruin what was best about the ship dynamic... that this all-powerful chaotic GOD fell head-over-heels for just some little guy who tamed him and made him a better person JUST for believing in him. BAH.

MCU is gonna MCU, I'm afraid. They're gonna ruin it somehow. I just REALLY hope they make it more obvious that Lokius is canon. I dunno.

I love these two so much, might have to draw them more often.

Lokius. Mobius is about to get a spanking (snippet below suggestive but clean).

The room was eerily silent apart from the clicking of the door. Loki watched Mobius stand with his back to them, his shoulders hunched and fingers clicking by his side. He was at the foot of the sofa, right where he normally stood before they played. Loki took off their jacket and stepped over quietly. Each step made Mobius twitch, and his breath seemed laboured. By the time Loki had sat down on the middle of the sofa, the tension had reached a boiling point. They cleared their throat. “You know why I have to do this?” “Ye–yeah.” “Well, come on. Unlike most times, I am not going to enjoy this.” They patted their leg and waited on Mobius moving. As if in a daze, Mobius removed his jacket. His hands shook slightly when he opened his belt, pulling down his zipper and letting the slacks fall to the floor in a heap. He stepped forward and lay across their lap, grabbing a cushion to bury his face into. “I’m sorry,” he murmured.

Hey, I'm actually working on something, so I can participate! Have a snippet of some bickering Lokius from the next story in my Fluffuary lineup ☺️

The glow of the golden arches in the window helped light up the night as they walked out of the restaurant and down the sidewalk, bickering all the while. "It's not that bad," Mobius defended, absently rattling the ice in the soft drink cup he'd carried out. "Not bad?" Loki repeated incredulously, "It's barely edible!" "Oh, come on; you're being dramatic." "And you're being delusional!" "What about the apple pie? You liked that!" Mobius pointed out. "I choked it down to make you happy," Loki corrected, "I would have preferred whatever concoction they try to pass off as ice cream, but—Oh, yes! The machine was broken."

Me who adores both the MCU/The Loki show and has read and loved all the Loki comics watching all the infighting going down 🧍🏻‍♂️

Please tell me I'm not alone. A lot of comics fans are shitting on the show and saying it's mocking the comics and stuff. I genuinely don't understand that (could be the autism, though). They're different universes and different versions of the characters. Of course it's going to be different. The MCU has NEVER been an exact recreation of the comics. Certain things, yeah, but never completely. I have read and own all except for the newest comics. This includes the Ragnarok storyline, Journey into Mystery (the original and the Kid Loki run), Young Avengers, and Agent of Asgard, along with the other necessary reading in between. I read all this a few years back and absolutely loved it all. It's not like I'm not aware of all the things in the comics. It's not that I'm stupid and know nothing. I know the comics and, for me, it actually enhances things. I just think it's neat that they're putting their own unique spin on things in the comics (the TVA itself was in the comics and I've read part of that run as well. Yes, it was very similar to how it is in the show). I find it fun, honestly. I don't understand the twisting to make it seem like the writers are doing this for evil purposes or to erase the comics from existence. I'm sure some people have watched breakdown videos for the episodes and decided to read the referenced comics afterwards. The exact opposite of what's being claimed. Yes, the tags are in chaos and could use some differentiation. I fully agree. Both sides of the fandom need their own space. But I don't think the majority have malicious intent. Yes, there's some shit heads, but there's shit heads in every fandom space that just want to cause problems and piss people off. Honestly, the Loki fandom, especially the Lokius side, have been some of the chillest people I've ever interacted with in fandom spaces.

This stupidly long vent is just to express that all the negativity has really bogged me down and upset me. Even having the tags for negativity towards the show blocked hasn't really helped me much. I know it's still there and it makes me anxious and upset. I know, I know. Touch grass. Blah blah blah. Listen. My personal life is a complete shit show right now. Loki season 2 has been one of my few comforts. Let me be upset that people are insulting something that makes me happy, alright?

(note: this isn't saying people don't have a right to their opinion and that everyone has to like what I like. I'm just stressed about the negativity is all. Also, if any of the tags used on this post aren't correct, please let me know and I'll remove them. I don't want to cause any problems with my venting)

Individually and together, Loki and Mobius personify Chaos + Order. Their relationship and love is the balance the TVA needs.

Victor is talking about the temporal loom, AND this is related to Loki and Mobius' relationship.

Yes, Loki is chaos and Mobius is order... except they each have a little of both principles in themselves because of each others' positive influence.

They've grown together, they've changed each other, and that's why they're the key to saving everyone and everything.

It can never be only chaos or only order. It's about both.

The TVA was only order, initially.

And when He Who Remains wanted it run by Loki and Sylvie, it was "pure chaos" – as Mobius predicted when deriding the idea of them together, which is partially why they are fundamentally incompatible.

Neither was sustainable, and neither can be the TVA's future.

(A few days ago I was talking about chaos and order and said "in episode 6 they’re gonna be back at the citadel, and it’ll include Mobius, and Loki’s gonna pick up his dagger in a lokius context, and they’re gonna commit to co-running the TVA (maybe with B-15) and also kiss. Meet in peace at the end of time for order + chaos, let’s GO" so you can imagine how thrilled I was by these themes making a blatant return in this episode lmao)

This is spelled out here too, of course:

Ravonna personifies only order, while Sylvie personifies only chaos. Hence why they've been at odds from the start, which kickstarted this whole thing when Sylvie was taken by the TVA.

But...

"All that matters is order versus chaos" isn't true.

"When will you learn that none of your words mean a thing?" isn't TRUE.

Mobius' words were the catalyst for Loki to change – hence the framing during that line – and the ways they personify order and chaos as a result is in a partnership rather than in a battle.

The equal relationship and love between Mobius and Loki is ACTUALLY all that matters in the end.

As a bonus, this episode even provided a pitch-perfect microcosm of evidence that, per usual, Mobius' words mean everything. They're vital.

^^^^ This is what happened in the show at large, but condensed.

Loki was ready to do something rash, like maybe killing Victor Timely. He was panicking. Mobius talked him down, and Loki immediately saw sense and they began to work together to help instead of harm.

Loki, changed by Mobius, then stands in front of Sylvie and tries to keep her from killing.

He tries to get her to stop and think. She doesn't listen and he cannot change her.

It's EXACTLY what happened in the season 1 finale. And it happens on a wheel. 🌀

What actually changes Sylvie and gets her to listen is Sylvie seeing herself in Victor, which I LOVE.

All Sylvie wants is free will. Victor asks her for that. If she kills him – "prunes him" for being a Variant – she'd be no better than the old TVA.

So... one last thought (for this post, at least):

Mobius' slow, deliberate, cerebral approach – coupled with his words – is what Loki needs.

But Mobius needs him just as much for many reasons, including the fact that sometimes Loki sees the obvious that Mobius DOES miss :)

Chaos and order in harmony.

This is a love story, as always.

And now that love story is explicitly irrevocably tied even more to the plot.

What's wild about my AO3 is that each of these is genuinely a different fic, which seems to make me kind of unusual! Everyone else I've seen with these has a decent amount of overlap on top stats.

(The Mandalorian, CaraDin) Written after the first season, this is a kind of crazy canon-at-the-time continuation that took me deeper into Star Wars lore than I ever thought I'd go (and will ever go again lmao). Also fun fact I think this is the last long fic I didn't plan out, and I'm kind of amazed it's still reasonably coherent.

Most Kudos: What Makes A Good Man (Loki Series, Lokius) The little 5+1 Art thief/CIA Agent AU that launched a novel-length series. Amazing that I thought I'd get away with just this fic at the beginning.

Most Words: Love is a Losing Game (TMFU, Napollya) My beloved 1960s chess AU; Napoleon and Illya are rival chess grandmasters competing in tournaments and falling in love. I still think this is the best thing I've ever written (it also has the highest bookmarks/kudos ratio!). My only single fic to top 100k.
