@zalimbane you got me thinking hard this morning about what my characters smell like. Attor ( Redeemed!DU ): the bitterness of burning bone, the sharp bite of copper and iron, the spiraling scent of wood smoke masking the the animalism of raw meat. Felix ( Warlock ): the sweetness of summer berry wine, the crisp freshness of new book, a sacchrine perfume of rose and myrrh. Familiar in a nostalgic way. Ariadne ( Black Mage ): carbon, the acrid scent of burnt sugar, incense, the closeness of a smoke in a closet, the sting of wildfire full of animal corpses and dying trees. Andoya ( Multiclass Drow ): the freshness of clean mountain air, the warm comfort of clean linens, springtime flowers, a sweet but soft floral aroma. Sidh ( Fae Rogue ): petrichor, the wet earthen scent of moss and ferns, fresh soil tileld up by curious hands, the faint scent of rock and a whisper of blood.

Riqyn ( Unhinged!DU ): the overly sweet scent of rotting fruit -- alcoholic and sour, a kiss of acidic poison, cloying perfume, a dark promise. The smell of air split by lightning.

"Never experienced it before!" Fischer can't believe his eyes when he discovers this huge ball in the middle of the sea.

Norwegian fisherman Dag Rydland spotted a huge balloon – a dead humpback whale – in the open sea north of Andoya Island on Thursday (14 March). He filmed the whale and posted it on Facebook.

“you imagine things,” he said at last. for good measure, trying to feign nonchalance, he shrugged. he was uncertain if the deception worked, though. he was no mummer. he disliked how he spoke, perhaps a little too fast. “you should focus on your own problems, which is far more dire than whatever may be on my mind.”

@starlyht is casually getting involed in some shit. Their hands are covered in blood and the soles of their feet are burned and raw when they stumble into Sol'rys. They're out of breath, blind eyes wide in horror and surprise. "I-- I, my apologies," They step back, eyes darting from side to side as if seeking an exit. There's voices from behind them, shouts through the woods that make them collapse to their knees. They couldn't run anymore if they wanted to, exhaustion settling heavily into their bones as their muscles cramped and snarled. The rest of the Children were quickly closing in. If they didn't get up and force themselves to run, then-- "I have gold-- an-and I can grant you a wish. Please. Help me." The spoke to the space before them, unaware if they were even still facing the stranger, hoping that if not for charity, this one could at least be bribed. "Whatever you want. Anything. Just don't let them take me." The sound of an unhappy hiss split the air, "Underdweller." "Careful now, stranger. That is a god made flesh you have at your feet."

Original caption: I spent 3 weeks in Lofoten, Senja, Andoya and Vesteralen and discovered the true beauty of this place. It's magical to see the mountains rise up from the sea, to see the fjords, the amazing landscapes, the midnight sun, the clouds, and the lovely villages. It was also a great time to visit the Lofoten Islands with it's 24 hours of daylight in the summer. I absolutely loved the midnight sun! I won't forget the midnight hike to the top of the Segla (Senja) or standing above the clouds in Tromso. This film is a collection of the unforgettable experiences. Boeing concerned about Indonesia's ability to pay for the F-15EX

The proposal to sell Boeing of 36 new F-15 fighters and equipment to Indonesia hit an obstacle in financing, according to people aware of the subject.

Executives of the U.S. aircraft manufacturer flew to Jakarta this week to discuss the transaction with Indonesian authorities on the sidelines of an annual defense exposure, people said, asking not to be identified because the deliberations are confidential.

Boeing is concerned about the ability of Southeast Asia's largest economy to finance jets, with Indonesia insisting on paying in installments, people said. The meetings ended without a conclusive result, which means that plans to sign the agreement before the end of this year will probably be postponed, they said.

Geopolitically, order is vital to the national interests of the US, as it would strengthen one of its main partners in the region. The State Department approved the potential sale of the jets in February, with the aircraft valued at about $9.5 billion. There is also approximately $4.4 billion in related equipment as part of the agreement.

A Boeing spokesman said he continues to have “significant and productive conversations with senior members” of the Indonesian Air Force and the Ministry of Defense, and said that more comments can be made available by the U.S. and Indonesian governments. The Indonesian Ministry of Defense did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Indonesia earlier this year signed a contract with Dassault Aviation for 42 Rafale fighters - a transaction valued at US$ 8.1 billion.

At the end of last month, Indonesia's Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto said that negotiations with Boeing are underway. He also suggested challenges around financing.

“We clearly ask that we should be able to buy in terms of payment in installments; we cannot do everything at once,” Prabowo said at a press conference with local reporters at the time. "The government always prioritizes economic development and so on."

For Indonesia, the purchase of the F-15 is part of the efforts to modernize its armed forces. But a fiscal squeeze induced by the pandemic, along with rising inflation, as well as the effort to complete infrastructure projects, means that the military needs to compete with other portfolios for the country's financial resources.
