It always makes me laugh when someone says Lucy is the Hufflepuff. Lucy, who went head first into an unknown world, followed a faun because of food, was ready to head into a war with a single dagger twice, was the one boys took as a model and made them want to become soldiers (the boy and his horse), was compared to a lioness by Aslan himself and was named The Valiant.
But Peter whose only reason to go to war was first his family and after his love and loyalty for his land, was known to be a hard worker, he is the Magnificent, and i'm sorry i don't remember the rest of my argument above the fact that people are just so used for the Gryffindors to lead that they forgot a Hufflepuff is more likely to lead because both of them care, they care but not in the same way.
They were given the Sky and the Sea for a reason. The Sky is steady. Always there, out of reach but always so close giving us so much. The Sea is as well but the sea is untamed, changing and dangerous. I think people forget these titles were given to them for a reason.
(Is my love for Lucy showing ? Yes but in another hand your love for Peter balances it)
Tumblr media
you just explained it in the best and aesthetic way possible.
i totally agree what you say about lucy. i mean she was the tiniest but was ready to fight without hesitation. and really, why people thought she was hufflepuff while aslan himself compared her to a lioness? i mean just because she is small, happy, and cute? lucy is much more than being just a little cute girl.
and peter... my dear peter. people assume he is a gryffindor because they think he enjoys being brave. peter had to be brave more than anyone else. peter was the eldest, he was called “high king” and “the magnificent” his mother put a burden to his shoulders, saying he must take care of his siblings. i bet peter was raised being told the same thing again and again. “peter protect susan”, “peter protect susan and edmund”, “peter protect susan, ed, and lucy”. he then had to take care of and protect a whole kingdom at the age of 13. my baby had to brave although he didn't feel brave. but his love, like you said, made him brave and he fought to protect his beloved ones. he didn't fight because he wanted to be a hero. he wasn't the one who chose being the magnificent. he had to be the high king, he had to be the magnificent. because he loved. oh how deeply and strongly my baby loved.
and i totally agree, people think he is a gry because the gry must be the leader and the hero of the story but when someone loves and cares as much as a hufflepuff does, i think they can be the hero too. we don't need only courage to become the hero. we also need love; big, sincere, and pure love. which peter carries in his heart.
and the thing you said about sky and sea? i just love it so so so much!
also thank you for the last thing you said, it puts a big smile on my face. i love, love, love my baby so much. i just can't hide it. yep, your love for lucy is showing but don't worry, i can always balance it! ( ꈍᴗꈍ)✿
thank you soooo much for this beautiful writing. i can't tell you how happy it made me when i saw it in my askbox. thank you!

f you my child is completely fine
your child is crying as she is thinking about the great burden peter pevensie had to carry and had to lead an army, watch his siblings get into danger, leave his parents behind without knowing what might happen to them, run a country, be a king with the titles ‘high king’ and ‘magnificent’ at the age of 13, and then when a talking lion decied that he learned his lesson, he had to go back to his world and be a child again and adjust there but failed because everything became literally different and then he had to go back because the same fking lion decided he should learn more and he fought a duel with a king older and stronger than him, risked his life, watched his friends die, learnt his former friends were gone, couldn't be the king again and had to say goodbye to this magical world because the lion was like ‘okay that's it now he learnt this time’ and then boom he died at the age of 22

i think mr. clive staples lewis knew what he was doing when he described peter as ❝and peter became a tall and deep-chested man and a great warrior, and he was called king peter the magnificent.❞

i was watching the first battle of beruna for some writing purposes and i love how peter is the first one in narnia army to run towards to the witch while jadis waits and doesn't get involved until she feels she is needed. even aslan doesn't stop and directly attacks when he arrives but jadis waits. also, although i'm planning to talk further about lww and battle of beruna, i'd like to share 2 screenshots with you:

on edmund and susan & their hogwarts houses traits
requested: by anon. hello! if you aren't busy, can i ask your opinion of which hogwart houses traits that fits ed and susan? thank you!
a/n: thank you so much for asking anon!! i hope i could explain myself well. you can share your thoughts with me and feel free to ask me more because it was fun!! (*˘︶˘*).。*♡
hiii! of course you can! let's go:
Edmund: well, ed is a ravenclaw to me, so let's first talk about ravenclaw traits. ed is analytical, logical, curious, creative, witty, observer. i think we all can agree that he is a witty person. it doesn't matter if he is being sassy or just defending what he thinks, ed is quick at answering, and also his answers are right and on the point. which is why he is analytical and logical. he can analyze the situation and act according to it. the best example is, in pc movie he says peter to smile because he sees narnians are being worried. therefore we can say that he is observer. he can analyze people's characters and generally the situation he is in. it is seen in his fighting style. he doesn't attack anyone with a certain plan but he can fight according to the enemy, how strong the enemy is and the way enemy fights. again in pc, he saves himself when all of the archers starts shooting at him. it was very practical and quick. (i'm sorry i can give examples from the books that much because my memory is so weak.)
now let's talk about gry. i think ed's gry traits are being stubborn and loathing to back down, with experience-oriented. well ed generally doesn't like to what he is told. he doesn't like to obey because if there is something he can do, he wants to help so bad. and this quote: “but even a traitor may mend, i have known one that did.” shows that he is experience-oriented. he learns from his mistakes. and in the lww movie, he says they should help narnians because he saw what jadis did.
it's now sly time! ed is determined, realistic, and bold. he is determined because once he decides to do something, there is nothing that can stop him. for example in lww when peter tells him to leave, he doesn't because he is determined to beat jadis somehow. and in vodt, he fights with that giant snake(ish) thing, he is determined to kill it and save the crew. he doesn't care risking his life, he is just focused on achieving. he generally looks things with realism. he doesn't talk about assumptions, he looks at the pure truth. in pc, while peter and caspian were talking about attacking and what to do, edmund was the one to see they'll starve soon. what others talk about was plans and assumptions but ed states out the situation they are in to find a solution. he is also bold because he just says what he thinks. he doesn't care if he is hurting someone. he says what he thinks is right.
hufflepuff time!! okay, ed is honest, totally loyal, fair and just, open-minded and passionate. well, he is honest because he is also bold. he says the truth and he is not afraid of saying it. he is loyal. he really is and if someone comes and says bUt hE sOLd hiS sIbLinGs i'm gonna fight with them. he was bewitched by the turkish delight. okay, let's move on. ed is loyal to both narnia and his family. he supports his siblings all the time. he supports peter in lww and pc. he supports lucy in vodt, he even supports eustace and protects them. his love makes him loyal to his beloved ones, no matter what he did or thought at first. well i think fair and just don't even need an explanaiton. his title is literally “the just”. i also want to add that he is forgiving. as a person who made a few mistakes, ed knows how to forgive and i think it is one of his huff traits. he is also open-minded which comes from his ability of thinking outside the box. he finds and accepst new ways.
Susan: she is a sly to me. so i'll first talk about her being a sly. my dear girl susan is ambitious, focused on goals, determined, prepared, realistic, analysis, perfectionistic, and assertive. i think susan is really ambitious, both in narnia and england. she is ambitious about being a good queen, looking beautiful, winning if she must fight, being the best in school, being the most good-looking person in invitations. well, shortly she is ambitious about being the best wherever she is and in whatever she is doing. which is why she is perfectionistic. susan likes to work hard to what she wishes to have, and while doing it, she does it in the best possible way. i honestly can't remember a susan moment from the books but generally we know that she is invited to many places. and because she is interested in “nylons and lipstick”, susan likes to look good. she likes to wear beautiful thinks. she is interested. we know she is realistic and prepared from the movies: “he's a beaver, he shouldn't be saying anything!” “look, just because some man in a red coat hands you a sword doesn't make you a hero!” she packs jam with mrs. beaver because what if they starve? about being analystic, i think she is good at analyzing her siblings. for example when ed is down in lww while they are playing in the garden, she tries to cheers him. she hugs peter in pc while he is fighting with miraz because she knows peter is worried about her and lucy. she is always touching lucy somehow because she knows lucy likes physcial love. and while they are talking with aslan in pc, she looks at capsian and her eyes almost apologize to caspian. why? because she can guess that her leaving narnia will break caspian's heart. and i think she is assertive, especially in the golden age.
now gryffindor time!! su is honest, and passionate. she doesn't seem like a person who is afraid of telling the truth to me. she is passionate about things she enjoy doing; it could be shooting people with her arrow, or wearing fabulous clothes.
hufflepuff su time! she is loyal, hard-working, dependable, accepting. she's loyal to her family. i think wherever she goes, her family is always in her heart. i think she's also a loyal friend who never tells your secrets to other and keeps them forever. hard-working because she is passionate and likes to achieve. i think she is also accepting and forgiving. she never judged ed and still loved and accepted him despite his mistakes. unless you harm her beloved ones, i think su always be accepting.
now we have ravenclaw susan. susie baby is intelligent, logical, wise, and fond of learning. we know she is wise and intelligent basically because she knows the word ‘gastrovascular’. she is interested in intelligence and likes to learn. we also know she is logical because at first she didn't believe lu and narnia because it wasn't logical to her. a new universe in the closet? it wasn't logical at all. but she likes to learn. she believes in narnia, now she must learn everything about narnia. because she is perfectionistic. if she knows something, she must know it completely and must know every little detail.

You already said which Hogwarts house each Pevensie would be in but what do you think the house each of the Pevensies S/O would be?
what an excellent question!! omg thank you so much for asking! ♡
please keep in my that these are my opinions and what i think. i'm not saying these are canon or must be in the way i say.
the houses between () are pevensies' houses.
okay, let's begin:
lucy (gryffindor): i believe lucy's partner would be a hufflepuff. why? let me explain. first of all, i like hufflepuff x gry pairings because a reckless person being with a very loving and caring person is so cute to me. lucy'd fall in love with a person who loves and cares people, animals, nature, and almost everything. besides, lucy would value loyalty. not only just being loyal to your partner but also being loyal to what you love. lucy would love someone being passionate about anything because she herself is person like that. also, compassion and honesty are both very important things to lucy. lucy doesn't like liars because being dishonest is one of the worst and horrible things according to her. and compassion. having compassion on any living creature and valuing their being and wellness also would attract lucy.
edmund (ravenclaw): slytherin. because edmund would absolutely love a ambitious partner who sees things they do through. also he'd love the realism his partner has. also a partner determined to achieve even the smallest thing would attract him. also, sassiness and boldness? edmund is in. as a raveclaw, he himself is sassy and witty too and he'd love to see them in his partner's slytherin way. edmund is a person who likes the taste of victory, and he tastes it by working effectively. so, a partner who is ambitious and determined to achieve what they wish by trying every way possible is the perfect partrer for edmund.
susan (slytherin): ravenclaw (or maybe a sly like herself). susan isn't a person who will be attracted to physical power or pure courage. and she is too realistic to be attracted to a positive, cheerful, sunshine person (i'm not saying this because i think being a person like that is a bad thing, i'm just trying to explain things in the way i believe susan would think, please don't be offended). susan loves logic and realism. she likes the pure truth. and a partner who'd meet her needs is a ravenclaw. a hard-working person who likes to think critically. susan would fall for a person who randomly tells a fact to her. susan would fall for a person who will answer her question by explaining with details and scientific facts. she'd like a creative person who can think different.
peter (hufflepuff): gryffindor. i think peter would fall a person who can risk their well-being for others. did you just punch that bully? peter is interested in you now. because he likes people who wants to protect those in need and do it without complaining, because they just want to. and as a hufflepuff, he would be worried sick about his partner but he'd also be so proud because his partner is doing the right thing, maybe in their own way. and i think he would find a daring person attractive. he himself is brave but when he needs to be. but he'd like a person who is brave naturally. he'd think it is cool and maybe envy it at some point. (not me imagining a peter fic where he meets his s/o when he is being bullied in school and his s/o comes and protects him by simply replying bullies in their own way)
but still, hogwarts houses don't determine someone's personality certainly. they could love anyone from any house. i just explained which house is more possible according to me. for example, i am a ravenclaw and in love with peter but i just said he'd fall for a gry. do you know how painful it was? it wasn't because he could easily like a ravenclaw too. nothing is certain or absolute. just possibilities! (*˘︶˘*).。*♡
okay, i hope you like it and i could explain myself clearly. if you don't understand or have further questions, please ask me because i llllove to talk about this topic (and aything you want to talk about).
and share what you think with me! ♡
and again, thank you so much for this brilliant question!! ♡

Ok here it goes, Polly Plummer for the listing things.
aww, polly dear! okay, let's start:
• fav thing about her: her bravery. i almost envy that. and i love how loyal, logical, and strong she is. “i'm game if you are.” is one of my fav quotes.
• least fav thing about her: there is none, actually. i just... love her and don't remember being annoyed by her or disliking something about her.
• fav line: “i'm game if you are.” absolutely.
• brotp: polly, pevensies, digory, jill and eustace. i love their friendship, and the fact that they came together to talk about their adventures in narnia. it makes me sob. ಥ‿ಥ
• otp: i mean... digory. they are cute, the friendship they had was good, they are loyal to each other. i just love them.
• notp: umm, i don't know. there was no one else to ship her with. so... i don't have an answer, sorry.
• random headcanon: she doesn't like winter. but no matter how old she gets, when spring comes, polly spends hours outside; reading, drawing, wandering, walking with digory. digory likes to watch her hair flying with the gentle breeze of the spring.
• unpopular opinion: she deserves to be appreciated more. she is a very good character. plus, i think she is a gryffindor.
• song i associate with her: beware the dog by the griswolds
• fav picture of her: i know it is not canon or anything but in my mind, kyla matthews would be a good polly, so here are two gifs of her:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
also, i like this drawing:

thank you so much for asking! sorry for the late reply, i am not feeling well lately so i needed some energy to take my phone and write. love u! (*˘︶˘*).。*♡

Slightly controversial opinion perhaps, but I don't like the third Narnia movie. It's a good movie but strays too far from the book in my opinion. What do you think?
honestly, i agree that it is very different from the book. the first two movies reflected books perfectly.
although peter is not in the book, the voyage of the dawn treader is my favorite book because it feels so magical and i felt like i was in the dawn treader while reading. it was really capturing.
i read the books after seeing the movies so it was confusing for me at first. i was like where is the mist then???
but i still like the movie on its own. making casmund almost canon was really good. and lucy's insecurities were also good and relatable. eustace?? he was very good and funny. but i wish there was more lilliandil because i love her so much :(
but i have to admit, the voyage of the dawn treader movie doesn't make me feel magical or majestic the way the first two do.
thank you for sharing honey! ( ˘ ³˘)
