The players in this story:

Andrew. Me. 17ftm. He/They. 11th grade.

Theodore. My brother. 14ftm. He/They. 9th grade.

Summer. My abuser. 16mtf. She/Her. 11th grade.

Quartz. My friend. 16nb. They/Them. 11th grade.

I was abused for two years by Summer. Emotional abuse, verbal abuse, physical abuse, manipulation, gaslighting, sexual harassment, sexual assault, she did it all. For all my swifties out there, it was so bad I can relate to Would've Could've Should've. She also did all of the above, except for the sexual harassment and sexual assault, to Quartz. Summer does not believe that what she did was wrong. Summer does not believe Quartz and I when we tell her what she did was wrong. I don't know if Summer thinks she can do wrong. She would still be abusing me today if I didn't manage to find a new lunch spot and pretend she can't hurt me anymore.

For the record, I am 5'3'' and roughly 110lbs. Summer is 6'1'' and probably around 200lbs. I cannot outrun her. I cannot overpower her. Yes, she knows this and has used it to her advantage before.

Also, Theodore is taller and slightly heavier than me, at 5'6'' and ~120lbs, but still substantially smaller and lighter than Summer. He could not outrun her. He could not overpower her. That scares me.

But why is Theodore involved in this story?

Theodore and I are both on the advanced math track. The normal path to take is Algebra I in 9th grade, Geometry in 10th grade, Algebra II in 11th grade, and Precalculus in 12th grade. The path we are taking is Algebra I in 8th grade, Geometry in 9th grade, Algebra II in 10th grade, Precalculus in 11th grade, and AB Calculus in 12th grade. Summer is not on the advanced math track. She also failed geometry last year and is retaking it this year.

This means that this year, Theodore and Summer are both taking geometry. This didn't bother me too much, as my school had five geometry periods divided among two teachers. What are the odds they'll both get the--

They got the same class. And they're sitting very close to each other. On a seating chart that will not change all year. According to both Theodore and Summer, whom I asked separately, they are within arms reach of each other, and are also in the back of the classroom, so if Summer talks to him the teacher will not overhear. This scares me.

Now, here's where I might be TA.

As soon as I found this out, I pulled Theodore aside and explained exactly who Summer is and what she did to me. I ended this with a warning to stay away from her as much as possible and ignore her completely, and to come straight to me if she tries anything. I also pulled Summer aside, since we still have a class together, and explained to her in no uncertain terms who my brother was and what would happen if she tried anything with him. I believe certain terms such as "unmarked grave" and "incident report so fast you won't even have time to say it was just a joke" came up.

Theodore basically said "Andrew, thank you for the warning, but I can defend myself. Stop fighting my battles for me." and Summer said "Andrew, come on, you're being overdramatic."

I thought I was protecting my brother from an abuser, but maybe I was overreacting and overprotecting instead. Should I have trusted Theodore to figure out her evilness on his own and trusted Summer not to try anything?

I lost all respect to Anne as today she allowed Andrew to lead Windsors to the church while grinning like cheshire cat. She was just behind him. I can’t erase that picture from my head.

I am sorry. It’s why I only keep my focus on William and Catherine. Who knows maybe they will let me down one day too, but for now I am still here.

As a longtime royal watcher (decades and decades), it is gratifying to see people understand the Charleses and Camillas and Annes as they always were: self-centered, arrogant, narcissistic. Anne's comes across differently than Charles' does. Charles is male and heir, so his is far more blatant. But Anne as also only ever been about Anne. She was far more protective of and real with her mother than Charles ever was, but she is just as petulant as Charles is. I never liked her and have kept second-guessing myself as so many others seemed to hold her in high esteem. Just like I fell for Camilla's act a little bit (which is a LOT for me :) ), I thought from time to time that maybe I was wrong about Anne. But time always tells. They were assholes back in the day and they are assholes today.

Good Lord, pray that WK don't disappoint! That would slay. I don't even want to consider the possibility. Let's just keep our focus on them and if we are proven wrong about them, we can just take it when it comes and become Swifties or something.

Okay, so, here's more on why Miguel's 'canon event' theory is complete BS"!!

First of all, isn't Miguel being wrong exactly what the movie was hinting at? That something wasn't right about what Miguel told Miles? There are 4 different times in the movie (that i know of) that contradict what he said, though one of them is more indirect and requires knowledge technically not revealed in the movie.

And these are those 4:

1. Hobie Brown!

He's Spider-PUNK!! You're telling me he was close friends with a police captain in his universe!? I don't think so! Punk is more than just a fashion statement, it's a lifestyle! It's anti-establishment, anti-government, non-comformity, (and so on)!! Come on, now! And, in his universe, the timeline is set during/based on the 1970s/80s punk revolution in particular. Look up information about that, if necessary.

2. Pavitr Prabhakar and Captain Singh:

So, Miguel said that one canon event was when a (this is slightly paraphrased), "police captain close to the spider dies while trying to save a child from falling rubble while said Spider-Person fights an arch-nemesis." But that's definitely not what was happening in Pavitr's "canon event" (or so Miguel says) that Milles supposedly disrupted. The Captain never tried to save a child, Pavitr did. Also, since when was that a fight between Pavitr and some arch nemesis??!? Spoiler: it wasn't.

3. That snippet from Andrew Garfield's "The Amazing Spider-Man ":

That scene where captain Stacy was dying? Yeah, that had nothing to do with a kid OR rubble, captain Stacy died from being STABBED by THE LIZARD!! also, and this I'm actually not sure of, would that battle between considered one against an "arch-nemesis"? Either way, it doesn't fit.

4: GWEN STACY AND HER FATHER!!

So, this is the one I noticed while watching the movie. And I had thought it was supposed to be obvious, but as a marvel fan, DC fan & Swiftie, it's possible I've just gotten REALLY used to looking for clues and easter eggs & stuff. But it wasn't just the watch Hobie left that got Gwen to go against what Miguel and Jess had told her. Only part of it. It was her dad that had her first realize that something about Miguel's "canon event" wasn't right. Because her dad, the only police captai she is close with, quit. He wasn't a police captain any more. And he definitely wasn't dead. That made her start thinking, and then the watch & note from Hobie kinda had been thinking "this is what Hobie was saying. He was saying to think for myself instead of just believing what I'm told." It was both of those things that got her teaming up with the others to save Miles.

I don't know if Miguel is lying or just downright stupi, but he's definitely talking bullshit with his whole 'canon event' thing.

Also, that one thing and a final battle against The Spot is definitely not enough for a whole separate movie. And if

my friend died today. his name is dan. a lot of my friends here knew him and loved him. love him. i hate using the past tense about these things because even before this i lived in a more-or-less constant state of denial but also i don't feel like he's gone, it's like we've just picked this particular day in history to talk about how much we love him, which makes him feel more present than ever. he was such a generous and supportive friend, and generosity and support are good qualities on their own but it meant even more from him because he didn't bullshit and he didn't suffer fools. the first time i met him was at my friend andrew's monthly media party; he came along with my best friend maura, and he seemed a little exasperated about being there, and at first i was like, "why is this guy not having a good time," but i was only a few years away from walking into media parties and immediately getting exasperated myself. eventually we would go to maryland deathfest together and spend three days on a houseboat with our friends swifty and nick laughing our asses off at country music videos (because zuus country was the only tv channel the boat could access) in between increasingly brutal metal sets. i also remember, a few years later, dan asking me to join him for a beat shazam audition (he was insanely good at trivia, including music trivia, and had appeared on game shows before; i think he recognized my ability to identify any given song playing in a room, whether loudly at karaoke or faintly through bar speakers), so i jumped on it; i have to assume they only didn't pick us because we both blanked on ed sheeran's "thinking out loud" when they played a part of it that wasn't the chorus. i'll have these memories of him forever, and he'll always be there, in them, being dan, being that effortlessly smart guy i knew, the guy who could invite me out for a night with his pool team that i'd never met before and i'd instantly feel at home with them. i wish i had been able to see him more these past few years. there were a lot of extenuating circumstances that did not permit us to see each other very often before he died. but the conditions of material reality do not seem to matter when you are yearning for something beyond its reach. i wasn't even going to write anything about this, i already wrote a whole thing in the wrestling discord we're both on and i felt like i'd centered myself enough, but then tonight i was thinking it's fucked up i will never get to talk to dan about the kraftwerkian splendor of the 12-inch mix of madonna's "burning up" ever again, and i miss my friend and i wish he were here.

I believe that since an increasing number of young people aren’t developing their moral compasses and formulating their definitions of right and wrong based on religious dictates, they turn to public figures like Andrew Tate or Joe Rogan or like, weird trads on TikTok who wear a lot of milk-maid outfits and/or get their buccal fat removed to tell them how to be the ideal man or woman in our world.

My girl Mara is a huge Swiftie - her favorite album is Fearless, and she and Quinn definitely make a date out of going to the Eras Tour in the future.

She has a nervous habit of fiddling with whatever bracelets she might be wearing, and there always is something there to fiddle with, because she’s always wearing bracelets.

She absolutely adores the old Roger’s and Hammerstein’s Cinderella movie from the fifties, with Julie Andrews, but of course she also really loves the newer one with Whitney Houston as the Fairy Godmother - during the club’s tribute to Whitney, she actually does a performance of the version of “Impossible” from that movie.

Her favorite books growing up where the Wrinkle in Time series by Madeline L’Engle, and she still has her old copies on the bookshelf in her room, their spines all creased and some of the pages stained from the times she tried to read while eating.

Her first pet was a sweet little grey hamster that she named Hermione, after Hermione Granger.

She has a certain yellow hoodie that she always wears on lazy days - it’s a bit stained and worn thin, but it’s also incredibly soft after so many washes and it’s perfect to wear just laying around or working on her latest jewelry-making project.

She loved The Powerpuff Girls when she was younger, and always wanted Bubbles’ powers.

A few times during Pride Month and every day during Lesbian Visibility Week, Mara will style her makeup after the lesbian flag. It’s her own way of showing pride, and the colors compliment her really well too.

Probably incredibly off topic but your a huge Swiftie and I have this headcanon that the narrator of "Lavender Haze", the girl who hates the 1950's sh** and all that- ACTUALLY is w/ a guy who currently plans to propose in a private thing and they get married. They don't let others influence their relationship. He proposes not because of their expectations but because they want to stay in the Lavender Haze FORVER.

Note: she (the narrator) SAYS she doesn't want to get married not because she doesn't actually want to but because of what others say about her. Her opinion and the Love Interest's opinion are never directly stated; only the nosy people's are. And that's the theory! Lol

I mean—yes! This was exactly my reasoning for defending the song before I knew about the breakup. And I think the magic of the song (and the magic of Taylor’s truth-telling storyteller core) is that it almost works! But I don’t think it actually does. The song still reveals cracks in the relationship itself because part of marriage is that it IS public. Not the core obviously, but the exterior. And that’s part of the safety of it and, weird word choice, but the appeal? Like. Who doesn’t want to be claimed publicly and legally and for forever by the one who loves you? Someone who doesn’t want to do that, who refuses to participate in the public nature of it, even under the pretense of wanting to protect the core, is dodging something and in my own opinion every woman on the receiving end of that knows it’s rotten and hates it even if she pretends to share it.

also being Married and acknowledging that publicly is not the same thing as sharing everything or losing all privacy. There are so many iconic couples (Dolly Parton and her husband for one) who disclose nothing except the fact that they’re married and that’s the right thing to disclose! (@ Andrew Garfield and tbh any Man who’s cagey about publicly acknowledging the nature of their relationship with the woman they’re with. “My marriage is none of your business” is a complete sentence. Acknowledging her as your wife takes the span of a second and actually provides both of you with more privacy.) And no, marriage shouldn’t be just to appease an inquisitive public. But it’s just part of how society works; it gives you a stable and secure place to exist from as a couple and actually TELLS the public: “Back the hell off; this is just ours” in a way a vague and undefined relationship status does not.

Taylor is hitting back in Lavender Haze at a public that is overly invested and inquisitive and nosy and pushy. But there’s also a latent insecurity and unhappiness that her very outcry reveals. Cause she wouldn’t care so much if things were actually good between her and her beloved. The tone would be so different and tbh I think the public outcry/nosiness wouldn’t exist, a), and b) she wouldn’t care if it did.

anyway NONE of this is @ you, lol. I totally share this theory and in a way buy it as plausible. But I guess to me at the end of the day the closest it comes to working for me is “almost.” She almost sells it, it’s almost true.

Mescal, a Co Kildare native, brought up the chat during an interview he and Alwyn had with Variety in 2022. Scott, from Dublin, apparently started the group after Alwyn was cast in Conversations With Friends.

"What's the name of the Whatsapp group we were in? Tortured Man Club," Mescal says to Alwyn in a video of the interview. The pair laugh and make jokes about Scott before Alwyn reveals that they had stopped using the chat. "It hasn't had much use recently," he says, to which Mescal jokes: "I feel like were less tortured now."

Alwyn also spoke about the group with GQ that year, saying that the name was a reference to his and Mescal's characters in Normal People and Conversations With Friends, which were both adaptations of Sally Rooney novels. He reached out to Mescal and met him in Dublin after the group chat was made, presumably to get his advice on playing a Rooney character.

Now, some Taylor Swift fans are saying they hope he can still lean on the chat - even if it is no longer in use. Clips of the interview have been circulating on a variety of social media platforms since Swift dropped the album name, and many seem convinced that The Tortured Poets Department is a direct reference to the chat.

"Taylor’s new album being called The Tortured Poet Department when I know Joe alwyn was in a group chat with Paul Mescal and Andrew Scott called the Tortured Man Club," one X user wrote. Another said: "Finding out Joe Alwyn was in a group chat called the Tortured Man’s Club is my villain origin story."

Another fan quipped: "I hope for Joe's sake that he still has that group chat. I feel like he's gonna need it."

The breakup between Alwyn and Swift was reportedly amicable, and her new romance with NFL star Travis Kelce has been highly publicized. However, many expect the new album to have some digs at Alwyn - and Swifites will no doubt be busy drawing conclusions again when it drops on April 19. Let's just hope this is the last Mescal and Scott have to do with it.'
