Hey fellow disabled/ND folks!

For anyone who has speaking/communication difficulty, I found an AAC app for Android that has built-in eye tracking and starts with 120+ boards! You can customize any of them. My favorite is to do entire phrases text to speech and then just click that say a whole phrase.

Usually I use ASL or the app "Big Word" for Android (due to deafness) but I switched to AAC recently, it's way more convenient text-to-speech (TTS) and symbol based is easier if words are difficult that day.

Coughdrop is seriously next level for how low $ the subscription is, it's 2 month free trial and $6/mo after.

This is an example default board tracking my eyes, using Dwell as the selection criteria on "want":

I also have a daily board for at home where I programmed a bunch of full TTS phrases with symbols:

It's a little complicated to set up at first but if you have support or you're a tech-oriented person it's a breeze 🙌🏼

BTW you're always "disabled enough" to communicate with alternative methods if you need to!! Don't deny yourself the ease of communication, you should always explore ways to express yourself 🤟🏻

Super frustrated about this latest change (glitch?) on the Android app. Whenever I click on ANY post (I.e. clicking on the username at the top in order to "go to" that post in the correct place in the OP's feed) it just...takes me to the top of that person's feed. Every time.

I can't even go to my own older posts, i.e., jump around in my own feed. This is awful--some fellow Android user please tell me there's a way around it 😞

(or are other Android users not having this problem?)

Regardless of it being on a blog directly, my dash, search, etc, the Android app keeps forcing me back to the top of the page.

A new post will trigger this event, but it also happens randomly.

Closing and reopening the app only resets it until the next time it decides to do it again. Same with signing out and in again.

LOL. Oh noes. I've been recruited!

I've been playing a (horrible terrible) casual app game on my phone for YEARS. You're supposed to connect via FB (nope) to get friends to join, and you can give each other "lives" to keep playing when you run out. SO- I don't do FB, and I've been on a defunct 'team' for years. In December someone joined the team and started actually using the Chat! and exchanging lives- and connecting with those of us who were still active. Beardy very gently suggested we get a new captain and ditch all the players who didn't play anymore. (can't do it if the Captain is not active)

Beardy then over a series of weeks encouraged us to contribute more actively, and we discussed starting a new team of people who play and contribute to each other regularly. Sounded GOOD!

Beardy told us the name of the new team and gave us 2 weeks notice to make the shift over. They've been a good cheerleader!

TODAY- Beardy asked us all what we know about Crypto! and has been waxing poetic about all the things they've learned- and how they Totally Know how to Work the System Now! $$$$$!!! 🙄

Started using this smartphone application recently. It lets me have a list of games I've collected that I take with me on the go, so I can stop accidentally buying games I already have. :P It works quite well, only problem my phone has is that the typing lags like shit whenever I'm searching for games to add to my collection list. Still, I recommend this for anyone else who collects video games.
