I really hope you eventually do decide to write that OUAT fic because it sounds AMAZING!!!

Emma gets Jefferson's hat working in S1 in a single fleeting moment of belief, but she and he both fall through the portal it makes, and the hat itself is left behind. The fic then alternates between the Enchanted Forest and Storybrooke. In the EF, Emma and Jefferson become reluctant (at least on her part) allies in trying to find a new way back home to their kids. Eventually, they link up with Hook and wind up working together against Cora. In Storybrooke, Henry is the main character as he tries to figure out what happened to Emma. At first Mary-Margaret in particular helps him, but the more time passes the more the curse begins reasserting its hold over everyone and all the changes that have come about since Emma arrived in town begin to reverse themselves/people forget about her. It takes longer for those who were closer to her, but it is gradually happening to everyone but Henry (and maybe Gold? or at least, it takes an especially long time for him as well).

I really don't think I'm ever gonna write it. It's way too involved for me, long and plotty and everything. But it's absolutely one of the ultimate "fics I wanna read myself" pet ideas, and I've been thinking wistfully of it for years and years. Good early OUAT vibes, Emma+Jefferson becoming best friends (or, I've thought sometimes about it ending up Emma/Jefferson/Hook poly even), intrigue and creepy storyline on one side with adventure and growing trust on the other... Cora as a big bad, chances to play around with the EF mid-curse/introduce other fairytales, obviously Captain Swan, also I would definitely have background Mulan/Aurora/Phillip. Just. A lot of stuff I would love so much to read (and think a lot of people would enjoy too), but find far too intimidating to write.

Also, I’m not actually on my computer, this is based on the stuff my phone remembers for me, so if I think of something else I’ll add it to this. Apologies also for the fact that this means none of this list is *links*, I usually try to be more useful than that. But hey! Please note you can set firefox as your default browser on your phone, too! Not on chromebooks though. *laughs* I have Flashcontrol on my phone as well, but I don’t have an extra flash blocking extension on my computer, iirc.

Now I do still have to use chrome for stuff for the kids’ schools, or when I had an online con I was going to, because developers assume you’ll have a chromium browser, and that means the apps mostly work better there. You can put pretty much all those extensions except facebook container on chrome as well too, though, so at least it’s a little bit better. 

(I do also occasionally have a website I have to use that doesn’t work with the assorted anti-tracking stuff up there. Sometimes I can work around it, sometimes I give up and open a privacy window with all my extensions turned off. This isn’t of course how they recommend you use these extensions, and there’s usually a report feature if a site you’re on breaks, but I’m not remotely IT inclined, so I do my best with what I’ve got. *shrugs*)

I've just finished reading 'Long Way Round' and it's so fantastic! The descriptions of Gallifrey, the Doctor's blurbs, Rose comparing him against himself, and the /hope/ and /direction/ she gave him. And my absolute fav part was the Doctor's "You have galaxies in your eyes and starlight in your veins..." speech. It's so beautifully written, and such a great description of Rose, and how he does & has always seen her.

I have spent at least half of my day reading through your bellarke fic on AO3 and am absolutely loving it! You're such a fantastic writer, and I love how you have such core pieces of the characters carried over from the show into all these different stories and backgrounds and plots but they're always very purely themselves!? I just finished Early Mornings&Late Nights and I swear I was grinning like an idiot through 90% of it! (The other 10% was face palming at them being idiots) Such a fantastic fic! But now I'm really curious about what all of Grantaire's errands are? What's even open at 430? Or is it more of an early morning enjoyment of the city while it's quiet and empty?

It's a bit of both!

In my early draft (which has a very crazy backstory I won't get into right this second), R took the time to go sketch at the local park until sunrise, then he'd stop by a coffee shop on his way to work.

In the published draft, I think he sets the morning aside more for commissions and seeing people: he uses his drawing tablet (sometimes in the park, sometimes until sunrise, sometime recreationally), but he also does have a couple of breakfast places and 24/7 diners and cafés as favorite haunts (one of them makes him feel like he's in an Edward Hopper painting, and he feels so basic for enjoying it as much as he does). Because he comes fairly regularly at times when no one else is there, the employees all know and like him.

Oh I am so excited!!!!! I had a passing thought of one of your (v.old) fics-Pocket Full of Stars- and hunted it down over on FF to reread. And then started rereading all of the amazing Writ in Skin stories. And then saw your bio over there mentioned AO3, so I had to hunt that down! I love your writing!! So excited to have found you on AO3!!!!!!!!!!

Oh my gosh, you have dug deep into my old fics!  I’m so glad you’re excited - it really warms my heart to hear that you’re still enjoying them - thank you for your lovely words.

As for your second question, why the Writ in Skin verse hasn’t fully been migrated over to AO3...laziness? *cringes and ducks head*

It’s not quite as simple as that, though.  A large part of the problem is that the original word docs that the series was written on date from about three laptops ago, and a lot of my backup hard drives are still packed up from my house move last year (I’m still in a temporary space, which is a whole different rant).  So in order to recreate the documents, I’d have to copy/paste versions from either the Teaspoon or FF.N webpages, which takes a LOT of  time.

That said, however, if people are really interested in those stories making the move over to AO3, I’ll definitely set aside some time and make sure that happens for you.  So let me know what you think!

I've been binging 'paint me in trust' for most of the last day or so, and it is so fantastic!!! I love the development of all the different relationships, and weaving HP & 100 canon together. Finally caught up and omg the the last couple of chapters in particular have been so stressful and frustrating with the near-misses! And people keep dying?! Which I know is true of both canons but still!!! I can't wait for the rest! Your characterization is amazing!

Your Cow Duck changes color?!?!?! That's amazing!

Well... sort of? It would be way cooler if the whole thing did. But really, it's just meant to be a bath toy for little kids, so it has a circle on the bottom that changes color if you put it in water that's too hot for a toddler's skin. Still a clever feature! But not exactly one I make use of.

If it helps, you can do a correlation with their temper; Magnus is quite capable of being vengefully petty after all, and Wentworth refuses to see Anne how she is when they meet again in the future, largely because he’s still holding on to how much Anne hurt him.

/the fact that she hurt herself more is not a thing he would have any way of knowing, really, though perhaps it should have been obvious to anyone who knew her well. But he perhaps didn’t know her as well as he thought? It was not a terribly long romance, the first time ‘round.
