and angel was so proud of himself for being able to carry mr-hollow-bones husk over here
based on the hc where husk died from falling, and that's why his demon form is an ironic mix between two animals that should not be taking fall damage
so yeah he's afraid of heights and that's why he doesn't fly
aftermath:
they'll be okay

i could talk about husk and alastor’s relationship for hours its not even funny. what is their deal. alastor often oversteps husk’s physical boundaries in the pilot. husk frequently backtalks and insults alastor and cusses him out and faces no consequences. alastor could easily force husk to work at the hotel but decides to butter him up with alcohol. it says in the wiki that alastor considers husk to be among his closest companions, with the likes of niffty and ROSIE (though admittedly i doubt this is still canon). husk brings alastor’s leash up to his face and seems surprised when alastor, the guy who kickstarted his career in hell by KILLING OVERLORDS WHO DISSED HIM, snaps at him, implying alastor does not often pull rank like this. speaking of alastor’s deal, how the hell does husk even know alastor HAS ONE. did alastor just randomly tell him about it over a bowl of popcorn and ice cream like a duo of middle school girls’ gossip. i heavily doubt it. what is up with these two.

OKAY RANT TIME!
Y'all, I have NEVER recommended such sus stuff, let alone FANFICS, but this one deserves it, okay?
I've been staying up until 4am the past 3 nights in a row to read an ongoing Hazbin Hotel fanfiction with 32 chapters and 145,000 words that I have now finished catching up on. To put it plainly, it is an absolute MASTERPIECE. Somehow, the author has perfectly captured how it would feel to form relationships (both platonic and romantic) with the characters and not make it feel like their personalities were manipulated.
I don't usually like stories that use such sensitive trigger tags, but it was recommended to me by a fellow Vox simp and OH MY GOD, IT'S NOT EVEN JUST THE VOX CONTENT THAT I CARE ABOUT ANYMORE, IT'S LITERALLY EVERYTHING ABOUT IT! THE PLOT IS GENUINELY GOOD, AND I WANT TO SEE HOW IT ENDS!
PLEASE, if you're into sus Vox/Readers, SUPER slow-burn Alastor/Readers, or stories with mild Baxter/Reader content on the side, GO READ The Medusa Complex over on Ao3!
⚠️ WARNING! IT HAS EXTREMELY SENSITIVE TOPICS WITHIN IT, SO READ THE DAMN AO3 TAGS! ⚠️

there's really something indescribably compelling about 'good omens' — being a show that deals with serious situations in a comedic way — to have a dark undertone. the undertone that brings up the possibility of torture, both physical and emotional and from the hands of both heaven and hell. just thinking about all the possible scenarios gives the story a completely different feel, creating the world where between absolutely unhinged, genuinely funny episodes there were moments of excruciating pain. and i find that beautiful.

I think that in a fight Gabriel could very easily just lift up and throw v1 into a floor/wall as an attack tactic, but would deem it too barbaric to actually use with his holier than thou mentality. now fallen gabe however … .
OH absolutely, their fights get way dirtier, especially in gabriel's more feral period where he just kind of breaks down and rails against everything he was an an angel (pretty much right when the transformation concludes with his tail) he is a much more brutal fighter, entirely leaning into what we see in heresy and giving himself over to doing whatever he wants in the moment without regard to proper combat etiquette. this is compounded with no longer being bound by heaven's tempering, so he actually has much more raw strength at his disposal - so he throws v1, throws things AT v1 (man's using architecture as weapons now, launching full pillars at it), and he goes after its wings or blood ports. v1 doesn't mind it because they both are well aware of when to stop, and there's something deeply fascinating about fighting an opponent that knows all of its weaknesses and isn't afraid to exploit them at any opportunity. this evens out somewhat later on, with gabriel recognizing that he does value some decorum on the battlefield and that he actually prefers maintaining his chivalry, which he reincorporates when he knows it's what he likes, not what heaven put into him. v1 teases him a bit for enjoying manners, but he returns to having a certain amount of respect for any opponent he faces even if he's a demon - besides, he and v1 can still sometimes have a no-rules brawl if they need it

Your Yan!Yuuta content is so good! Your writing strikes the perfect balance between genuinely sweet and completely unhinged.
Any thoughts on how Rika would come into play? Could his darling even be able to see her? Or would she just feel this ice cold presence holding her down while her boyfriend coos that she's doing a good job restraining their little Darling. There's just something uniquely terrifying about your boyfriend's dead/cursed girlfriend always lurking around. Also hot if she'd be a participant, but that might be the monsterfucker in me
Looking forward to more of your writing!!
ahhhh thank you so much :( this is such a lovely compliment, i’m so happy you think so !!! i wanted to make sure i was explaining that yuuta does have his sweet / good boyfriend moments which is the whole reason reader is there in the first place — he’s just a little …. unsettling sometimes ❤︎
but ohhhh i’ve never mentioned rika in the actual series but i do think she’s very supportive of yuuta and his relationship with reader — especially his behaviour, she thinks it’s very charming & that he should continue so reader knows just how much he cares about her :,) also omg just reader being able to feel rika’s presence but not see her is so creepy, but also so alajaka like rika playing with her hair etc and it makes reader shudder, yuuta’s batting her away like “don’t worry, it’s nothing.” (she’d make it very hard to escape him, especially when you can’t see her) 🫶🏻

When Crowley says he understands what Aziraphale is offering a whole lot better than Aziraphale does Aziraphale loses the plot (the plot is that he loves and trusts Crowley). He's spent so much time being condescended to and belittled and is currently high on approval and sympathy from an authority figure who thinks ingesting things is cool and not disgusting at all! So feeling like Crowley is talking down to him in that moment is doubly a slap in the face because it's Crowley not being on his side (horrible) but it's also Crowley saying that Metatron's validation doesn't count and he's dumb for thinking it should. This is all very sympathetic but also Crowley was right!!! Crowley was right about everything Aziraphale doesn't understand because for all he's suffered for being himself he has never been cast into hell and had to develop a whole new identity about it, and so it really was the actual worst possible time to break out "I forgive you."
Also c'mom buddy I know you weren't there for "I was only asking questions" but that metatron's "always wanted to go his own way... always asking damned fool questions" really Aziraphale??? REALLY????

I'm curious (because I'm kind of a bible nerd), since the bible talks about human-angel hybrids/nephelim, would that be something that's possible in htb, or just something that humans would have thought up, y'know, for funsies?
Things like nephelim, cherubim, and seraphim, etc. are actually all just alternative names for alternates. Humans don't know that what they thought were angelic creatures are actually eldritch abominations though lmao

does vincent ever find out lino isnt actually an angel?
Ish. He decides Lino is an angel given a human incarnation to test the world to find who is worthy for salvation, but still believes him to be a conduit for divinity, and to have magic/the ability to heal others. (Vincent is just touch starved to hell and in chronic pain from his mutations. Lino 'heals him' by just. showing him enough basic kindness and touch to distract him from his pain.)
Part of the reason he never finds out is that this is a tragedy. Lino doesn't get the ending he wants and will have to make a heel turn to survive.
