Part two of Sam x reader. Don’t forget to send across any fics you might want to see - any smut, fluff angst. Enjoy!
You wake up in the morning and consider if you’ve been hit by a truck. Your head is pounding hard, as if someone had slammed a block of cement right into your skull.
The curtains are drawn shut, hiding the room like a dark cave. It makes you think, where even are you?
The whole night was a blur, the last thing you remember was turning up at the party.
You weren’t a big drinker at the best of times anyway, probably because of how it made you feel the next day. Today was no exception, you seriously considered staying in bed for the whole day.
Well, making it home first to your bed. A voice groans beside you and you turn to see Quinn at your side - curled up and snoring without a care in the world.
“Oh good. You’re finally up” a voice calls, and you flinch at the sound. “Keep it down” you moan, burying into the mattress and pulling the thin duvet over your head.
The voice laughs, whoever it was clearly isn’t going anywhere. You concede and roll off the bed, coming face to face with a grinning Chad.
”Hey there” he greets, looking remarkably put together and the complete opposite to how you feel. Before you can even formulate a reply, another voice chimes in.
”Good morning lover girl” Mindy looks worse off than her brother, wearing a jumper you faintly recognise as Anika’s. Her eyes are dark, makeup smudged - and despite the mock happy tone, she sounds exhausted.
The word choice seems to specific for a casual joke, and it makes you think - what happened last night?
Perhaps you just flirted with someone? Quinn maybe? The more you thought about it, she did seem quite touchy feely last night. More than usual.
“What are you talking about?” You grumble, frowning at the sight of your crumpled clothes. The twins share a look, smirking wide in that trademark annoying way of theirs.
Sometimes they were such an annoying duo. “Everything just makes sense now” Chad replies cryptically and Anika appears from the doorway, hitting his arm.
”Stop teasing her you two” she hands you a glass of water with a small smile. “You feeling okay?”
You nod and accept the glass, holding a hand to your head and taking an Advil. “Where are we?”
”Some frat party. Jason? Jack?” Quinn pipes up from your side, suddenly awake and running a hand through her tangled hair. “What a night huh? Didn’t see that coming”
Everyone so far is acting strange, making you think that something must have definitely happened. You groan again, hoping it wasn’t too embarrassing as you follow the twins into the living room.
Tara sits on a couch, looking as wrecked as you feel. Besides her sits Sam, and you’re quick to avert your eyes.
Mindy seems to catch the action and raises an eyebrow, teasing. “Morning Tara” you greet your friend, joining her on the couch, as far away from Sam as you can manage.
”No good morning for me?” Sam cocks an eyebrow, voice unbearably hot in a husky tone. The twins giggle again, insufferable and Anika looks at her with sympathetic eyes.
“Uhhh” you trail away, not sure what was happening. She usually tended to ignore you back, but the telling smirk sent your way could maybe explain why everyone was acting like this. “Morning”
The silence is awkward, and you wring your hands as the group starts to disperse, heading off to classes.
Your best bet to find out what happened would be Anika, but she leaves with Ethan for an early morning session. The twins were clearly having way too much teasing you, and Tara seemed in a worse state than you.
That only left Sam herself, and Quinn. And you really didn’t want to ask Sam why she was acting so different, about what you must’ve clearly said.
Both options wouldn’t work, so you decide to hopefully ignore the problem and head home with the girls in silence.
The minute you step through the door, you lock yourself in your bedroom and get changed for class. The walk is quick, and class goes off without a hitch.
You almost forget about the events until the evening where you start to prepare dinner. Living with Sam had been amicable till now, something you hoped wouldn’t change.
The jar of tomatoes are on the top shelf and you sigh loudly, searching for the typical stool that you and Tara always have hanging around.
“No problem” a voice calls in sing song, reaching up to the shelf and grabbing it for you.
“Thank you....” your voice gets lost in your throat to see Sam leaning against the counter, holding the jar with a broad smile.
She looks happier to see you than usual where you both make polite small talk, grin stretching across her face as she waves the tomatoes towards you. “you need them or...”
You reach out and take them, feeling your cheeks blush the same colour. “Thank you Sam” you force your voice to be neutral
She’s wearing a blue tank top, one of your favourite looks on her - with black pants and a green jacket. It takes all of your resolve not to check her out fully as you refocus your attention to cooking.
”Need a hand?” She holds one up to you, eyes challenging. You ignore the clear pun behind the offer. “I’m good thanks”
”Sure thing”.
You continue to cook, and as you focus - you assume she’s gone. The room is peaceful, quiet and let’s you distract yourself with a task.
“So what’s for dinner?” You jump at the sound, knife slipping from the carrot and grazing your finger.
”Fuck Sam” you gasp, surprised to hear her voice. Your hand is dripping blood.
She joins you around the counter instantly, moving with such precision that you might have appreciated more if you weren’t bleeding all over the countertop.
”Shit. Sorry. Let me see it” She doesn’t give you a chance to reply, pushing you into a chair and grabbing your hand.
The wound isn’t big but starts to ache, you’ve never been good with blood. One time Chad had tried back flipping into a pool and caught his face on the edge, you had almost fainted at the sight.
”I don’t think you’ll need stitches” Sam murmurs, still holding your hand. Her palm is cool and strong against your sweaty skin and you nod as she pulls out a medical kit.
She wraps a plaster around the skin with precision, focused and unwavering in a way you admire. It isn’t just looks, you find Sam an attractive person in the way that she’s strong and reliable too.
”There we go” she adds a light bandage for good measure and you manage a weak smile. “Thanks for that”
She laughs, steadying you with a hand to the small of your back.“Easy now” and fuck. Her mouth is so close to your ear. Her voice low and rough. You bite down on your lip hard and screw your eyes shut.
You want her to hold you. To press you tight against your body until it aches.
The moment ends and she releases you, nodding at your bandaged finger. “Keep an eye on that” she demands, and her tone makes you squeeze your legs together as subtle as you can manage.
”Yes ma’am” you tease with a salute, growing more relaxed in her company. She grins at you, and when you think she’s going to leave - her head ducks down and presses a kiss to your finger.
“Call me if you need any help with dinner, or if you need any more medical assistance” she offers, winking at you before sauntering into her bedroom without a second look.

Jesper and kaz 100% avoid each other when theyre mad or upset or they had a fight and yelled things neither of them meant and it one time got so bad that jesper did like seven entire missions with the dregs without having been told what on earth was happening because everyone knows jesper and kaz are like this and so he just like- figured it out- and kaz just didn't eat for like a solid month and only survived off of the water Anika forced into his hands whenever she passed him in the hallway and then eventually she just got so tired of their shit she locked them in a closet together- not with locks because kaz could break those- but by sticking a broom handle through it and then killing eight people in front of it and using their bodies to barricade the door and it messed with kaz and jesper so badly that they never go more than a week not speaking to each other anymore after a fight because anika will get this look in her eyes and then jesper will hastily sprint up the stairs to kazs room and knock down the door and kaz will lock eyes with him, swallow, and invite him to sit- or kaz sees anika stalking towards him with a glass of water and he trips and falls down three flights of steps and jesper just so happens to walk by at that moment and immediately helps him up and together they just run because only anika with a glass of water could make kaz trip like that and this got away from me a little bit but yeah. Kaz and his dregs.

Quell arrived a moment later. She looked gaunt enough to cut in half with a paring knife, but she was rigid and proud as ever. Adan followed her in, giving the room only a cursory glance. After Adan came a woman Nath didn’t recognize at first—a jade-skinned Twi’lek with white-patterned head-tails and a confidence that made Quell, in comparison, look like a trembling child.
General Hera Syndulla.
Legend of the Rebel Alliance. The woman who’d helped free Lothal, survived Scarif, and led the charge at Endor. Commander of the battle group and special guest aboard the Lodestar. If she was making time for a briefing, they were in for very good news or very bad.

study date
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
anika kayoko x fem!reader
warnings: none
You stared frustratingly at the countless papers laid out across your desk. No matter how hard you studied the notes and study guides, you couldn't seem to grasp the subject, and frequently got question after question wrong.
A text from Anika tore you from the math problem you were struggling with.
Anikaaa: hey can i come overrrrr
Your eyes flitted back to the stack of math problems. The smart decision would be to have Anika come over another day so you could study, but that idea was more than unpleasant. You've been at it for hours, and you deserved a little break. Besides, you really missed your girlfriend.
You: yes please i miss u
Anikaaa: okayyy be there in 15
Though it was only fifteen minutes, it felt like hours before Anika finally knocked on your door. You threw it open and practically jumped into her arms.
"Hi, pretty girl," she cooed.
You nuzzled into her neck and inhaled the sweet scent of her perfume. She pressed a soft kiss to the crown of your head. Warmth radiated off of her, relaxing you and melting away any previous stress you had about your class. She wrapped her arms around your waist, and her thumb rubbed circles against the exposed skin beneath your shirt. You closed your eyes and sighed in content, feeling completely content in her embrace.
"I missed you," you mumbled.
"We saw each other like two days ago," she giggled.
"I know but...I still missed you."
"You are so cute."
Pulling away from her grasp, you slid your hand around the back of her neck, and your fingers tangled in the strands of bleached-white hair. Her hair was soft and silky, and her lips curled up in a small smile as you stroked circles into her nape. You tugged her down into a searing kiss, and her arm slid up your body to cup your cheek. The taste of her lips was intoxicating; one you could never get used to, and you groaned softly when she deepened the kiss.
When you pulled away, you were both slightly out of breath and panting.
"As much as I loved that, Ani, I'm a little too tired for anything further," you whispered.
"Don't worry my love, it's no big deal. C'mon."
She took your hand and led you back into your living room. You followed her happily, but stopped when she saw the state of your desk.
"What's all that?" she asked curiously, turning around to face you.
"Oh, I was just doing some studying for this math test tomorrow..." you said quietly.
"Y/N! Why did you let me come over when you have to study!" Anika exclaimed, raising her brow.
"I don't know...it was so boring and I wanted to see you," you pouted.
"Are you at least somewhat prepared?"
"Mhm," you mumbled unconvincingly. You tried to tug her back into you but she didn't budge.
"You're such a bad liar."
"Ugh, Anika, I've been studying for hours," you sighed, rubbing your eyes in frustration.
"Well, what if I help you?"
She grabbed your hand again and pulled you towards the desk. She scanned the stack of papers, shuffling through your work, before pulling out a paper and handing it to you.
"Here, sit down," she said, a little smile on her face. You obeyed begrudgingly, grumbling curse words under your breath. "Okay, try the first one, and I'll go grab another chair."
You finished the problem within a few minutes and slid the paper to her. She examined it for a few moments, before sliding it back to you.
"It's wrong."
You groaned and slammed your head on the desk.
"That's it, I don't care anymore. I'll just take the F and dip," you sighed.
"Nope. I'm not letting you fail. Here, I'll show you how to do it," she said, rubbing your back comfortingly. She erased your work and redid the problem, carefully explaining each step. "You get it?"
"I think so," you said with a nod.
"Okay, try the next one."
You finished the problem in shorter time and you were a lot more confident. But the furrow of her brows told you your answer was incorrect yet again.
"I give up," you said, crossing your arms in disappointment.
She smiled sadly and kissed your temple.
"Oh! I have an idea!" she exclaimed suddenly. Her eyes were bright with excitement. "How about...each time you get a question right, I'll give you a kiss."
You eyed her slyly. "That could be fun," you said, a smirk spreading across your face. You grabbed the paper and studied the next problem, before getting to work on solving it. She watched you write, adoring your look of concentration. When you turned to her, she had a wide, triumphant grin on her face.
"You did it, baby!"
She cupped your cheeks and pulled you in for a sweet, loving kiss. You both smiled into it, and when you pulled away she squeezed your hand softly.
"Okay, do the next one."
At first, your answer was incorrect, but when you restarted, it was right. Before Anika could react, you crashed your lips onto hers. You tangled your fingers in her hair and pulled her into you. She started to push you away, but you pecked her lips several times before her lips finally left yours.
"Hey, I said one kiss," she said pointedly. You shrugged and laughed, turning to do the next problem.
You two spent the whole night studying, and a few hours later, you had mastered the subject and were prepared for your test the next day. By the end of your little study date, both of you had swollen lips, red with the many kisses you shared; some longer than others.
"Thanks for helping me study, baby," you whispered. Your head was resting against her chest, rising and falling as she breathed. The two of you had gone to bed, both tired from the several hours of studying. You traced circles into her pale, creamy skin, and she combed her fingers through your hair.
"Of course," she replied softly. "Now go to sleep, my love, you need rest for tomorrow." You nodded and fell asleep within minutes, feeling relieved and extremely grateful for your girlfriend. She always knew how to help you.

Sam Carpenter x fem!Reader request:
Reader is part of the friend group in Scream 6 and tends to ignore Sam. Sam thinks Reader doesn’t like her but in reality Reader is head over heels in love with Sam. At a party the gang plays truth or dare and Reader is so drunk which leads to her giving Sam all of her attention and compliments. Everyone is shocked and confused.
Next day the whole group agrees to see how long it will take for Reader to confess to Sam sober (Reader doesn’t remember what happened the night prior).
So despite Reader trying to continue ignoring Sam, Sam now constantly flirts with Reader which leads to Reader’s confusion, flusterness and the most horrible attempts to act like it doesn’t affect her. (Plot twist: she fails and the gang can’t stop themselves from laughing at/teasing her).
I decided to split this into two/potentially three chapters! Because I started writing and it was big. Hope you enjoy so far!
I also made it scream 6 AU where the killings never happened and the friendship are just chilling in college
You had been studying at college in New York for a few months, focusing more on education than anything.
When your class gets some new students, you’re stunned to recognise the group from the news, surviving ghostface attacks.
You become friends with Mindy first, bonded through a love of movies - then by extension, you meet Chad then Tara.
When Mindy starts dating Anika, the group begins to form alongside Chad’s roommate Ethan. It feels nice to have a group of friends to fall back on during college, and you all become close soon.
A big project is due, so you agree to hang out at Tara’s place. You know she shares it with her older sister, Sam - and another girl Quinn.
What you didn’t expect, is for Sam to be home that evening. Or to be so hot. You keep some distance immediately, being polite but never really getting to know Sam.
The rumours are everywhere. That it was her who orchestrated the killings last year.
You don’t believe them of course, but you guess Sam must be closed off, and should focus on her feelings - the last thing she needed was her little sister’s friend crushing on her.
The weeks pass and you grow closer to everyone except for Sam. You make excuses when left in situations alone together, and if necessary - you just don’t speak with her.
She’s painfully attractive, all tall and strong. You’ve seen her work out once, when Chad convinced you and Mindy it would be fun to do a ‘group gym sesh’.
The ‘sesh’ resulted in Mindy leaving after twenty minutes to ‘blow off steam’. “Poor anika” Chad had mumbled, resuming his heavy weights.
You grew bored, then distracted when you noticed a familiar face sprinting on a treadmill across the gym. Arms rippling and calves on display.
Your head spins back around so fast you almost headbutt poor Chad who gives you a confused look. “You okay?” He asks, steadying your shoulder.
”All good!” You fire back, focusing on his face. But Chad isn’t stupid and looks back to where you stared. He notices Sam and waves.
”Dude you need to sort out whatever’s happening with Sam”
His words make you freeze, surely he didn’t know about your crush? You had done such a good job to hide it. But before you could worry, he adds.
”Why don’t you like her? She thinks it’s something she’s done?”
You blink, feeling like a deer in the headlights. You should have really expected this. Ignoring someone only meant they’d thing you had something against them.
”I don’t” you grimace. “I mean I don’t dislike her. She’s fine. She’s cool”
Chad does not believe you, and his eyes linger for too long. He sighs in defeat. “Sure. But important question, you coming to the party tonight?”
This changes your mood and a smile stretches across your face as you both head for the shower. “Fuck yeah I am”.
...
Tara announces Sam is coming to the party and you’re a bit stunned. Aside from being a few years older, she’s declared on numerous occasions that she’s “not the party type”.
Clad in a short black dress, you join Tara in the living room as she waits for the others to finish getting ready. “I wonder why Sam’s coming” you try to fish
Ever oblivious, Tara ponders. “I think she’s just been a bit stressed with work. Wants some fun I guess”
Then she pauses and gives you a funny look. “You are cool with her coming?”
Her tone matches Chad’s from earlier and you frown. The last thing you wanted is for Tara to think you dislike her sister.
“No I’m fine!” You raise your hands maybe a bit too dramatically. “I just wondered thats all”
Tara hums but doesn’t look like she agrees, she drops the topic though. Greeting Chad as he comes in the room. Now it’s your turn to raise your eyebrow as the pair seem awfully close.
”Hey there” a pair of arms grab your shoulders and you startle. “Fuck Mindy. You need to stop doing that” you groan at your friend who smirks.
“Where’s the fun in that” she joins you on the couch, followed by Anika who rolls her eyes too. “She’s right babe, you really do need to stop that”
Mindy smiles up at her girlfriend and it’s your turn to tease - digging your elbow into her ribs. “Whipped” you cough, and she elbows you back
Before the play fighting can escalate, the door opens and Sam strolls out. You swallow hard at how good she looks, even in simple jeans, a shirt and light jacket.
”Ready to go?” She scans the group, and you turn last minute to deliberately miss her gaze. All is not lost though as you head behind her out the door, noting how good her ass looks in the tight jeans.
The party is like every other frat party Tara somehow bags an invite to, and convinces everyone it will be a new experience.
Mindy and Anika slink off to the couch to smoke weed and do other things you feel hopelessly jealous of.
Tara and Ethan are engaged in what looks like a very drunk game of beer pong (already) with Chad refereeing. Sam is .... somewhere, leaving you alone with Quinn.
You'd always got on amicable, not as close as the others but polite enough. But sometimes you’d feel her gaze lingering too long, especially when you wore more revealing clothes.
You couldn’t deny she was hot. Very much so. Though your mind was occupied by Sam, and you were happy enough single.
”How are you finding the party” she touches your arm, smirking and with the buzz of the alcohol already hitting your system, you don’t reject the touch.
”It’s good, good” you nod as she grazes your arm, eyes locked on yours.
“Do you want to...”
A voice interrupts before she can finish the sentence and surprisingly it’s Sam who stands near you both, awkward look on her face.
”Sorry to like, interrupt or whatever” she gestures between the pair of you, and you feel your cheeks already blush a deep red.
”But Tara’s demanding we all play truth or dare” she strolls off after that, and Quinn rolls her eyes but smiles at you. ”Better listen I guess”
It feels very juvenile, sitting crossed legged in a random bedroom with a bottle of vodka between them. Sam looks like she’s rather be anywhere else right now, and honestly you can’t blame her.
Tara is ... very drunk, so is Ethan and Chad - the trip barely coherent.
Mindy and Anika are giggly, holding onto each other with such love, so clingy that it reminds you how painfully single you are.
Quinn looks bored, but slightly amused at the antics.
The questions start off light, and you just pray there won’t be any queries about crushes.
The alcohol has made your tongue loose, and the room is starting to spin in a slow sway that has your head bopping along as though listening to music.
“Okay....” Quinn spins around the room, smirking before her eyes land on you. “Y/N. Truth or dare?”
You’d just chosen dare, taking a long shot of vodka from a plant vase so hoped Quinn would take pity on you for the truth.
”Truth” you match her gaze, sipping on your drink - beer abandoned for a vodka lemonade. She thinks for a short while, and you don’t like the devilish look in her eye.
”Who do you think the hottest person in the room is?”
Your mouth falls open, as you try to think of an acceptable response. You could just say yourself and play it off as a joke. But then, your brain can’t seem to catch up.
”Sam!” You blurt out, surprising everyone - but mainly Sam who jumps up at the sound of her voice, eyes widened. Quinn is grinning manically, almost like a comic book villain and Mindy rolls her eyes.
”Ohhhh” Chad smirks, whispering something into his sisters ear. You don’t hear though, too focused on Sam and her reaction.
She looks surprised but slightly pleased, a blush light on her cheeks. You should really just shut up, but once you open your mouth - you can’t close it.
”I’m just saying what I see!” You exclaim, hands flapping through the air. “And you look good Sam! Really good. I love the shirt. It suits you”
You start to ramble, letting your thoughts come out. Quinn is laughing, enjoying the whole debacle, and Tara looks visibly confused.
Sam looks ... shy? She mutters a quick “thanks” and looks away. Before you can continue the onslaught, Anika dares Ethan to drink his, Tara’s and Chad’s shots. At once.
Someone passes you a shot and the room starts to spin rapidly. You haven’t felt this drunk since you first tried alcohol with your cousins and the buzz is unlike anything else.
You notice things more. Like how Sam’s hair shines a pretty colour. Something you accidentally spill out, much to Mindy and now Chad’s amusement - and to Tara’s continual confusion.
“It just looks so shiny!” You tell Anika as you both head up to the bathroom. “And pretty. So glossy! I wonder what shampoo she uses” you continue to babble, washing your hands.
Anika is gentle with you in that typical way of hers, so caring as she listens with a bright smile and a nod. Out of the group, she probably had drunk the least, settling more for some weed and snuggling into Mindy’s lap.
“I know babe” she hands you a towel to dry your hands, grip firm on your shoulders as she safely guides you down the stairs.
“And her makeup! It brings out her eyes. Don’t you agree?” You turn on the stairs, almost knocking the pair of you over, giggling.
”Very pretty” Anika indulges you, nodding as she marches you over to the group. “Back in one piece” she returns you like some sort of parcel and the thought makes you erupt into more laughter.
The game dies out as you all drink casually, somehow your head finds it way into Tara’s lap as she smooths your hair gently. “Fuck” you moan, feeling as if you’re on the moon.
Tara giggles, as drunk as you - if not, more. “Fuck” she repeats, and the pair of you erupt into loud laughter.
It’s late. Very late. And not even the weekend either. Everyone has class or work tomorrow, so you all call it a day.
Quinn vaguely knows the guy hosting the party who lets you all stay.
Anika and Mindy take another bedroom, so do Chad and Tara. Leaving you, Ethan, Quinn and Sam.
Before you can assign the rooms, you’re already falling asleep on someone’s shoulder - ignoring their calls as you let sleep take you away.

Wolf Spider pt. 3
Sam Carpenter x Spider-Man!Reader
Tumblr media
Telling your amazing girlfriend that another masked serial killer was on the loose in New York was not exactly a walk in the park.
“We’re leaving!!” She grabs her luggage bags as Mindy and Chad try to calm her down.
“Baby I don’t know if leaving New York will help” you try to convince Sam.
“As opposed to staying still?” She nearly thunders back. “Sorry honey. I just can’t let anything happen to Tara”
“What about me?” Chad asks, “I nearly became a knife rack last time!”
“But did you die?“ Mindy responds as Anika joins her side.
Tara huffs, “look I’m gonna go get some supplies and then we’re out of here.”
Sam and Tara head out of the apartment as you head for yours. You quickly find your old spider society wrist watch and make a call to your mentor, Miguel.
“sorry kid,“ Miguel sighs, “ this is a part of your canon event and we cannot interfere.”
“then send me my emergency box” you practically order him.
A small cylinder arrives through a portal two seconds later. Inside you can see the swirling black mass as it beats against the container you promised yourself you never go back to this but desperate times call for desperate measures. The symbiote was your best bet.
You begrudgingly open the container and the black as night alien goo latches onto you. It lurches its way up encasing you completely in a solid black suit with a white spider logo but at its center was a skull.
Why? It hisses.
“The family I love is in danger”
Don’t hold me back.
“I won’t.”
How you wished you had gone with Sam and Tara. Ghostface chased them to the bodega and was shooting up the place with a shotgun.
You swung thru the window and fire a tendril shard at the slasher. It cuts through the only black robe but it wasn’t a direct hit. Ghostface fled as Sam and Tara took to their feet. You look down to see that the fiend left behind their mask.
“Are you okay?” You try to ask the girls as the fury of the symbiote rages inside of you.
Chase the killer down!
You make your way trying to help any potential survivors. There was only Sam and Tara left alive.
Detective Bailey and a few officers arrived shortly. “Wolf” the gruff detective shakes your hand, “nice threads”
“Special suit. Violatile” you explain, what you didn't notice was how your suit was reacting around Bailey. It was as if the symbiote was finding itself drawn to the gruff older man.
Bailey and the police officers took Sam and Tara down to the station. While you weren't allowed into the station, you were able to call in an old friend to act as their lawyer, pro bono. What can you say? Your pal Matt Murdock owed you a favor.
Mindy assembled the Core Four plus Ethan, Anika and Quinn at the campus.
"Okay we're now in the sequel, guys, which means new rules" Mindy explains.
"Please don't try to put it in movie terms right now" you groan.
"Sorry but since you weren't with us first time," Mindy smirks, "you're on the list of suspects."
"Don't do that to Y/N, babe," Anika says before hugging you, "I know you're one of the good ones"
Sam rolls her eyes, "Y/N's mine, Anika, remember?"
You give Sam a kiss on the forehead to ease her false sense of jealousy. "All yours Carpenter" you whisper in her ear.
"How do we know that its even anyone in this circle?" Ethan asks, "with the rise of the internet, anyone can have a grudge without much reason. Also I don't wanna die a virgin"
"Can't help you there, Chambers" you joke, earning a chuckle from Chad.
"What if its someone from the last time?" Quinn asks "like someone who went nuts"
"Possible" you explain, "but it'd be a terrible reveal and tank the franchise"
"So Chad's not off the table?" Tara jokes.
"Only for you, Carpenter" Chad tries to flirt only for you to throw some popcorn at him for his terrible flirting attempt.
You had a little dinner over at the Carpenter sisters' apartment. Sam was practically shaking as she held onto your hand. You tried to venture out, she grabs you.
Why are you still here? The symbiote hissed in your ear. Find them, kill them.
You walk out of the apartment and quickly the symbiote forms over you. Sam sneaks out and puts a hand on your shoulder.
"Please don't leave" Sam begs.
"That killer is out there" you reasoned. "I gotta nab them before they find you"
You swung out on your own personal hunt. You should've stayed. During a swing, your police scanner picked up reports of screaming being heard in your apartment complex. You swung back to the location only to find everyone minus Quinn, trying to cross between buildings on a ladder. You could see Anika had been stabbed and was severely bleeding out.
Ghostface rocked the ladder and Anika fell. You dived after her and caught her at the last second. Mindy screamed after you as you swung off into the night.
You set Anika down on the nearby rooftop, her breathing slowing down. You put your hand over her bleeding stomach, trying to stop it by any means. "You'll be okay" you try to reassure her.
"Take off your mask" Anika weakly says, "I wanna see your face...Y/N"
"Y/N" you try to speak through your forming tears, "w-who's Y/N?"
"I know it's you"
You hesitate but you remove your mask and offer her a weak smile. Anika weakly smiles back, "I knew it. I knew you were one of the good ones"
Her body goes limp and her eyes shut. "Anika? Anika?!"
You swing her down to the hospital. The EMTs shuttle her body off to away from you as you try to keep up with her.
"It's alright, Wolf" one of the EMTs tries to reassure you, "you did your part."
You could only look on in horror as Anika is hauled off, unsure if you were too late to save her. "Get her to the OR stat" one doctor yelled out as the doors shut on you.
You understood that no one was safe. This Ghostface wasn't playing by the rules. This franchise has changed.
To Be Continued...

wake up

The sound of sirens blared from outside of the apartment complex. Finally. You looked down to the girl in your arms, her breathing shallow. The bleached white streaks of her hair were now tainted with sticky, crimson red. Her eyes were closed, and she was unresponsive. She didn’t have much time. Blood still steadily oozed out of her stomach, even with the pressure from your hands. You tried not to think about it, tried not to think about the fact that she might not survive.
Loud footsteps stormed through the hallways, and paramedics burst through the door.
“Ma’am you have to let go.” a voice distantly said. But you didn’t want to. You needed to save her, you couldn’t let go, or she would die.
A pair of strong arms wrapped around your waist and yanked you off of her. It was Danny.
“No!” you screamed. “Let me go! I need to- I need to-” tears streaked down your face.
The paramedics formed a wall, effectively barricading you from her. Words of meaningless comfort spewed from their mouths, trying to reassure you that they knew what they were doing.
“Y/N. It’ll be okay, alright? She’ll be okay, but they need to take her to a hospital,” Sam told you.
She opened her arms for a comforting hug, and you threw yourself in her embrace. The adrenaline was fading away, and the reality that Anika could die was sinking in. You sobbed uncontrollably as they rolled her away on a stretcher. Away from you.
“I need to- I need to go,” you mumbled before tearing yourself away from Sam. You sprinted down the dingy steps of the complex and raced to your car. Your friends tried to stop you, warned you it was too dangerous, that Ghostface could still be out there, but you didn’t care. You needed to make sure Anika was okay.
The drive to the hospital was thankfully quick. You ran to the front desk, your shoulders heaving as you panted for breath.
“I need- I need to see Anika,” you told the woman behind the desk.
Her eyes widened as she got a good look at you. Your hands and clothes were covered in Anika’s blood and dozens of bruises adorned your skin.
“My god. What the hell?” she asked incredulously. She stood up a little to get a better look at you.
“I’m fine. Just please- where is Anika? Anika Kayoko? She just got here. She-” Her eyes softened when you started to tear up again. “Please? I need to- need to be with her.”
“Well she was just rushed to the ER, and she’ll be in surgery for a while, so unfortunately you can’t see her until we get her results. You can wait outside her room if you’d like.”
❖  ❖  ❖
The wait was extremely long. You sat there for hours, leg jiggling nervously. Your phone was blowing up, undoubtedly your friends wondering where you were, but it didn’t matter. All that mattered was the girl in the room in front of you, hopefully getting better.
The sight of Anika on the ladder flashed in your head over and over again. The pitch black, eyeless sockets of Ghostface’s mask staring at you as they shook the ladder violently. The rattle of it as it banged against the window sill. The sobs of fear and pain from Anika. The blood on her hands smeared all over yours, making it extremely difficult to pull her across. You were just barely able to save her, before the ladder gave and toppled to the concrete below, a second later and Anika would have joined it. The thought of her falling to her death terrified you. It was a pure miracle that Anika made it across.
The door opened, startling you from your thoughts. The doctor who stepped outside looked grim. Your heart instantly sank.
“Are you Miss L/N?” he asked politely, holding up a clipboard. You nodded in fear. His next words would make or break you. Your heart pounded in your ears.
“The surgery went well…” you immediately let out the breath you didn’t know you were holding. “...but we had to put her in a coma, and it is uncertain when she’ll wake up.”
“Can I see her?” you asked softly. He nodded and smiled. “But, she lost a lot of blood. When she wakes up she’ll be very weak.”
He opened the door for you and your heart sank again. There she was, hooked up to dozens of machines. Her eyes were closed peacefully and she was tucked into the covers. The beeping of her heart monitor sounded steadily throughout the room, a pleasant reminder that she was alive.
You sat in the chair next to her bed and took her hand, squeezing it softly. Your thumb brushed over her knuckles, and you fiddled with the rings on her fingers. Standing up, you pressed a light kiss to her forehead, then scooted your chair closer to her. Exhaustion was inevitably settling in your bones. You rested your head against her thigh, your eyelids growing heavy, and you slowly began to fall asleep.
“Goodnight, Anika.”
❖  ❖  ❖
Sunlight shining directly in your eyes woke you up. For a moment, you forgot where you were. But the beeping of Anika’s monitor quickly grounded you. She was still asleep. Her breaths were calm and steady. You checked your phone and saw a plethora of missed calls and texts. Sighing, you pressed Tara’s contact info and called her.
She answered after the first ring.
“Where the fuck have you been, Y/N?! We thought you were dead!” she shouted over the phone. You winced at the volume of her voice.
“Sorry. I’m in the hospital with Anika,” you mumbled, still rubbing exhaustion out of your eyes.
“So she’s okay?”
“Yeah. But she’s in a coma, so I don’t know when she’ll wake up.”
“Okay. Well we have a plan to get Ghostface. Are you gonna come?”
“No. I wanna stay with her.”
“Okay.”
“Be safe, Tar.”
“You too.”
You sighed and put your phone down, looking back at Anika.
“Please wake up, my love,” you whispered. No response. “Please. Wake up,” you begged. Nothing.
You grabbed her hand and leaned into it, kissing each finger softly. About to press your lips to the back of her hand, you stopped when you felt her index finger twitch. You snapped your gaze to look at her face, desperately searching for any signs of movement. Nothing changed. Her eyes were still closed, the rise and fall of her chest consistent. But it was still a sign. Soon enough she would be awake. Smiling softly, you rubbed your hand along her forearm, and rested against her bed once more.
It was still early. Might as well get a few more hours of much needed sleep.
❖  ❖  ❖
It’s been two weeks since Anika’s finger twitched. Sam and Tara had fought and defeated the trio of Ghostfaces, each revealed identity surprising you more. You never really trusted Ethan, but you really thought that Quinn was dead.
You’ve visited Anika everyday, and every time you walked through the door to her room, your heart was filled with hope, only to be crushed again. Your friends visited her too, but not nearly as much as you. In fact they were more worried about you. Eating and sleeping was last on your list of priorities, and your mental health has all but depleted. The doctors at the hospital have given up on enforcing their visiting hour policy after you practically begged on your knees for them to let you stay.
You’ve basically moved into the hospital. Every night you sat in that same chair beside her and slept, resting your head against her unmoving body. More often than not, you cried yourself to sleep. You missed Anika so much, it hurt. All you wanted was to curl up in her arms, to hear her soothing soft voice, to feel her skin against yours. Though she was literally right beside you, it seemed miles away and out of reach.
And as if her being in a coma wasn’t enough, every time you close your eyes and rest, nightmares plague you. You had watched her die. Over and over again. You’d see her fall off the ladder. You’d see her stabbed to death. You’d even see Ghostface attacking you both in the hospital. It wasn’t impossible. It happened to Tara. All because of a stupid black and white mask. It was almost routine for you to startle yourself awake, gasping for air, a thick layer of sweat coating your whole body. And all you had for comfort was Anika’s lifeless body in the dark, empty hospital room, and her constant ringing heart monitor.
You hated the nightmares so much that you tried to avoid sleep entirely. Your diet now consists of one meal a day and two energy drinks. Now, as you sat beside her, your body was shaking with drug induced energy, and your eyelid twitches every few seconds. It’s been two days since you’ve slept.
Hours went by. Your body began to slowly shut off on its own. You sighed and reached into your bag for another Red Bull. But your hand grasped nothing.
“Fuck,” you cursed under your breath. You could go out and buy more, but even the idea of driving all the way to the store was exhausting.
One way or another, you would be sleeping tonight.
❖  ❖  ❖
You slowly woke up to the familiar sensation of your hair being combed. Nails scratched gently against your scalp, soft fingers threading tenderly through your hair. You figured it was Tara or Sam visiting you, trying to offer whatever comfort they could.
You groggily opened your eyes, expecting to see one of your friend’s faces, but instead you were met with someone else. Her.
Breath faltering, you rubbed your eyes to check if you were imagining things. But no, it was really her. Her lips were curled in a perfect smile, her eyes crinkling in joy as she gently stroked her thumb over your cheek.
“Hi,” she croaked weakly.
Tears instantly welled in your eyes, and you jumped out of the chair to get closer to her. You rested your forehead against hers and kissed her nose.
“You’re finally awake,” you sobbed, tears steadily streaming down your cheeks. She quickly wiped them away.
“Please don’t cry,” she whispered. Her bottom lip came out in a pout, and her eyes saddened as she took in your appearance.
Your eyes were puffy and bloodshot, and dark circles lay beneath them.
“What do you expect? You've been in a damn coma for two weeks.”
She giggled, then grabbed the back of your neck and pulled you in for a much needed kiss. Both of your lips were severely chapped, and her breath was admittedly unpleasant, but it didn’t matter. The only thing that did was her lips on yours. You’ve craved this desperately. After two weeks of her unresponsiveness, she was finally awake. Finally back to you.
“I’m gonna call a nurse, okay?” you told her after pulling away.
The nurse checked all of her vitals and checked her healing surgery wounds, making sure she was recovering. Before she left she told you Anika could come home in a few days.
“Do you want me to tell the group?” you asked Anika, approaching her bed.
“Nah, not right now. Just come lay with me.”
“Are you sure? I don’t wanna hurt you.”
“I’ll be fine. Just come here.”
You smiled and carefully got into the hospital bed beside her. She rested her head on your chest and leaned into your embrace. You kissed her head in pure delight.
“Is it weird that I kinda wanna take a nap right now?”
She turned her head to look at you, waiting for your response, but it never came. You were already asleep. She laughed softly and pressed a kiss to your head.
“Sweet dreams, my love.”
