No matter what the era, the World Government has always tried… but failed to acquire the Gomu Gomu no Mi… Even after 800 years worth of attempts!! It is as though the Devil Fruit itself is trying to escape our grasp. […] After all, the other name of the Gomu Gomu no Mi is the Hito Hito no Mi… Mythical Zoan type, Model NIKA…!!
Awakening the devil fruit is said to give its user's rubber body even more strength… and freedom. I heard that it's the most ridiculous power in the world! He fought as he fancied, and made people smile. The Warrior of Liberation… also known as Nika, the Sun God!
wondering about Frank and insects but specifically about how it looks like the WH insects are highly stylized, so does Frank even know anything about real butteflies/insects?
& if he saw a real one, would he recognize it? are all of the species names he applies to the WH bugs real, or are they all made up like "Vibrant Eyespot" or "Fluttering Heartwing"?
and then there's the question - does the neighborhood have some of the more 'undesirable' bugs like moths, worms, roaches, spiders? does it have bugs outside of the generic groups of beetles and butterflies? like are there mantids? leafbugs? dragonflies? weevils? or are those too specific/complex/not-cute for the Playfellow Workshop to have included?
and then there's the question of what are the bugs? props? puppets? are they alive or do the neighbors just perceive them as such? Do they even exist outside of art, storybooks, and animated segments? I highly doubt they're alive like the neighbors are, since in the gif of Frank's head spinning, the framed butterflies' wings are moving. which is kind of horrifying if you think about it for more than a second.
just... the critters Frank loves so so so much being a complete fabrication... every piece of knowledge he prides himself on / delights in knowing being utterly Untrue... oof
saiki is a total collector. he loves to collect shit. he has an island he teleports to sometimes that is full of merchandise and different things and theyre all catagorized.
he especially likes collecting fossils. something about the mortality of it all is strangely fascinating and comforting to him. he hopes that one day someone appreciates his species fossils as he appreciates others.
rambled in tags just a bit but i think its a fine addition
i realize part of the appeal of toddlee in the scott pilgrim fandom sort of defaults on that fujoshi tendency to pair 2 hot men together simply because theyre 2 hot men and thats attractive or whatever but i think if they were to hypothetically get together, theyd have a very interesting dynamic worth exploring. between todd's bisexual awakening in takes off and his general issues (infidelity, unstable behavior like punching a hole in the moon apparently not once but twice for both ramona & envy) and lucas lee's "whatever" attitude and unwillingness to face his issues head on for a majority of the plot, i think its worth examining what between the 2 of them has to change for them to finally stick something out and really commit to a relationship that lasts. or something. i dunno, thats my general thoughts on their whole thing
I'm SO tired of people making out like deserts are barren and useless and inherently hostile. Do you know how many fun little animals are in deserts. You would be surprised how many plants are there also. Plus the fact that humans have and are living in deserts.
They are not barren and you should not feel like they are a problem to be solved.
Today, April 4th, is World Rat Day, and to celebrate, the funny Noise is wearing his Thursday best!
Seeing as I drew and modded a custom sheep outfit into Pizza Tower just last year, it only felt appropriate to ring in my first celebrated World Rat Day by modding a Brick-inspired outfit into the Playable Noise update! 🐀✨
(Check under the cut to see a selection of in-game screenshots I took of the Noise wearing the Ratty Rags clothes, as well as a special bonus to top it all off!)
I just finished my nth rewatch of Legend of Korra (due to the live action bringing me back to my atla/lok roots), and was violently thrown back 9 years ago while rereading the original reaction subreddits when everyone was arguing whether korrasami was canon, all bc Nick wouldn't have ever allowed the creators to show an in-show kiss between two women.
It really shows how far we've made it in today's society and media. Korrasami shocked us 9 years ago (gay marriage wasn't even federally legalized in the USA till a year after), but if it came out today none of us would've blinked at the queer rep on a kids show (by kids I mean Nickelodeon). It just makes me so happy that it's now (mostly) normalized to have safe and good queer rep in media, esp kids media.
I can't imagine what it would've felt like to have shows/movies like Nimona, Steven Universe, She-ra, etc growing up. Or just media normalizing that queer people exist and are like everyone else (instead of the butt of a joke or a "token gay character").
