Why I Use Wool

It’s not literal plastic like acrylic.

It doesn’t use toxic chemicals in its production like rayon.

The sheep, by definition, HAVE to be healthy and happy. When you mistreat a sheep, you get shitty wool that isn’t worth selling. You cannot factory-farm a sheep and make money that way.

This is also why wool costs more than plastic and rayon.

I only use acrylic for babies and people with wool allergies, or when I’m flat broke. Gimme that wool.

I'm going to start refusing to eat meat since I've wanted to become vegatarian for a long time. I am ethically against meat and also have no real attraction to it. Fake meat or no meat, just veggies, is a fine substitute. I will probably switch to other types of milk besides animals, but cheese and egg will be really difficult to give up.
Can anyone experienced in vegatarian or vegan eating suggest a smooth transition of foods into it that are:
1) very affordable (imagine someone has $60...for the whole month)
2) bulk buying
3) don't have to be prepared much, can be microwave prepared, I struggle with cooking on stoves
4) yummy suggestions
5) treats
6) anything you want to talk about related to becoming vegatarian from formerly eating many animal products

There’s this weird quote that I keep seeing, in like, climate and environmental spaces with people quoting this white dude who did a couple vegan research papers.
“A vegan diet is probably the single biggest way to reduce your impact on planet Earth, not just greenhouse gases, but global acidification, eutrophication, land use and water use.”
I’ve seen it numerous times, occasionally paraphrased but it’s really weird, because not only was one of this dude’s plans for reducing the meat industry’s impact on the environment taxing meat and dairy but the article it comes from includes fearmongering about the “obesity epidemic” and the research paper he was talking about...didn’t prove that at all.
It was merely about the differences in environmental affects between different animal farms and shit. It wasn’t about comparing a vegan diet to other ways to reduce your environmental impact.
I dunno if it’s just me but that’s not propaganda, that’s just lying. Right? Unless there IS some proof of that statement from four years ago, in which case cool! But that definitely did not belong in that article or have much of anything to do with that paper.

I just think that 'animals are living intelligent creatures that have feelings and deserve to be respected' and 'when done properly farming is beneficial to both people and animals and there's nothing wrong with raising and killing animals for food, clothing, and other products' are concepts that very much can and should coexist
