You can ignore me but I kinda want to know your top 5 favorite animals too...
Thank you for asking! This one was fun to answer!
1. Frogs (and toads). I love frogs a ridiculous amount. I have so many fond memories of frogs as a kid. There was a creek near our home and frogs were everywhere. There was also so much frog decor in the house I grew up in. I still have one of the frog ceramics we had. They make me so happy.
2. Cats. I'm 100% a cat person. They are just the best little companions. I love that they just do their own thing but enjoy spending time with others.
3. Giraffes. I love these weird looking cows. One of my earliest memories is being at a zoo in the giraffe area with my mom with her feeding them and holding me up so I could touch one.
4. Snakes. Snakes are just so neat!! I especially love the hognose snake. They are the cutest little dramatic noodles. Whenever they feel threatened they might flattened their heads to make themselves look like cobras or they will play dead. I love them.
5. Rabbits. They are so sweet and I just feel a sense of peace with rabbits.
Honorable mentions:
I also love bats and mice and honestly they would probably tie with rabbits.

A shout out to this little angel.
Because I am a cat person, and the proud guardian of a 17 year old Russian Blue cross named Thea (Thedosia).
Thea helped me through the loss of my immediate family last year.
I adopted her the day before my twin sister was laid to rest. She has comforted me every day since.
She nuzzled my face and put her miniscule paw on my hand when I was at my lowest. A little 5.5 lb blue-grey feline angel.
She accompanied me to the hospital when my mum was fighting cancer.
She lived for 16 years with a family before she was rehomed and found her forever family with me, and had the courage to love another human and show them a gentle, consistent sort of affection with no gaps, no off days, no fickleness. Just consistent care and loyalty and amusing sweetness.
And I am not really surprised, because...
That is a cat for you.
They are just as loving as dogs.
They need attention, too.
They deserve protection and to be brought inside and tended to often. To have someone play games with them, cuddle them, affix them their own small bed or to even curl up on your own.
They are not just ornaments of beauty requiring little care and even less attention like so many say. But since I have heard this sentiment often it makes me realize that a lot of people who say they don't like cats...simply don't know cats. They haven't taken the time to really connect to a feline.
And that's sad since they are the most gorgeous little souls, and once you find your cat - you will find your familiar for life. Your buddy, your wacky apartment jester, your tiny eccentric pal who will yowl when she doesn't get to drink your coffee out of your coffee mug after you've cooked her the tiger shrimp she was yowling for a few minutes, prior.
Because they are the most lovable little kooks and they bring a humour and a presence to your home that is both elegant and mischevious, intense yet at turns carefree. They are amusing and they are paradoxical and if you find the one that connects with you, you'll have the best friend in the world. A best friend of such quality that very few humans, by comparison, will ever be able to reach their caliber.
Animals are healing. They are our teachers. And they are the most steadfast of friends.

Imagine all you favorite characters taking care of animals tho. That's cute. (i.e. Erik has a Persian cat named Daroga, Carrie White has an albino rabbit, Anakin has a robot dog)
Awww I absolutely love this idea, it's so adorable 😍
I'm sure if these three had animals as companions in their lives, they definitely wouldn't feel as lonely as they did. That's the best part of having a pet: as long as you love and take care of them, they'll love unconditionally in return. It doesn't matter If you're rich or poor, smart or dumb, beautiful or ugly... Your heart is what truly matters to them.
