Can't believe it's been an entire year since the LACKADAISY Pilot release. What a blur!
Thank you for all of the views, comments, amazing art, writings, and support since then! It's meant so much! ❤️♣️
Now that Port by the Sea is out, I thought I'd share some of my work! Here's some backgrounds I painted from the shop. This was one of the first scenes I worked on for bg paint, I had a lot of fun figuring out colors and the painting style! If you haven't seen the animated pilot yet, you can watch it here!

I'm available for full-time/freelance BG Paint work ✨

First official glimpse at the Ramshackle Pilot! Thank you cast & crew for everything! <33 This is just a lil clip, the tip of the Ramshackle Animated Pilot iceberg if you will. We've got so much more in store for you!
hey guys wanna see some cool indie cartoons which i animated? :U
as an indie animator, if you would check out these two projects i worked on as the (solo!) animator with supermoongo production, it would be of great help!
Princess Astra, an adult parody of sailor moon; animated in good old trashy style
vimeo
Salty Banana, animated pilot based on my own comics, also with supermoongo production!
vimeo
anyway if you would share this, reblog, show to your friends, if you think its cool, please do! i worked hard and long on both of these projects (As i said - solo animator!) so if you can pass it around, that would be wonderful :'D
So I just finished the Lackadaisy pilot, and as I was watching, there was something that kept catching my eye throughout the episode: the characters still have the drawing lines.
Is this some kind of mistake on the part of the creators? ABSOLUTELY NOT. I think the Lackadaisy creators made a deliberate choice to put them in even though they didn’t need to.
But for what reason?
This is just my opinion, but if you were a creator that was looking to understand the inner workings of art/animation, imagine how you would feel upon seeing these little drawing figures that are on the characters in Lackadaisy and, in doing so, gives you a better understanding of the nature of animation and character design and what not. What better way to help other creators than by helping them understand the foundations said art is built upon?
So, in the end, these little drawing figures are not an error that came as a result of laziness or ignorance but intentional addition that helps people understand and appreciate the effort and passion that went into this pilot and, above all, how to better channel those efforts and passions yourself.
Port by the Sea is yet another welcome addition to the field of indie animation that's worth diving into! Fans of dragon ball and nautical adventures will want to keep their eye out on this series.
